Chapter Text

I walk downstairs for breakfast, still very tired from the night before. Mr. Benedict smiles as I sit down for breakfast, plate of bacon and eggs in hand. I sit next to Reynie and S.Q. and start eating. I had seconds then went upstairs to go change and do my hair. I sit on my bed to read when my head starts spinning and I can hear Marceline talking.

“Not right now-” I whine and lay down.

I wake up and we are on the way to the doctors *sigh* just what I need today. S.Q. is in the seat next to me drawing, Number Two is driving with Mr. Benedict in the passenger seat. Anna is trying to talk but my vision becomes blurry, the next time I open my eyes we are walking out of the doctors office. I convinced N2 to take me to the boba shop down the road and we all get something. Reynie, Sticky and Mom are in the kitchen making something I can only identify as cupcakes. As I'm walking to my room Reynie asks if I wanna help decorate the cupcakes. I smile and start helping them decorate them. Mom made tons of icing. Kate and Constance come out of the study and Kate runs up and tackles me in a hug.

“Geez Kate, some warning would be nice.” I roll my eyes playfully.

“Sorry, sorry- I just missed ya that’s all.” I give her a suspicious look but go back to putting the cupcakes on the plate.

“I don’t get it, why make something look nice if it's just gonna get destroyed in seconds!?” Constance asks. I look at her and shake my head.

“Honestly it doesn’t make sense to me either but that’s how it is I guess.” Constance storms off and Mom leaves to go get the other adults. I laugh which causes the others to look at me.

“What’s funny?” I shake my head. “Nothing, just Constance being Constance.” “I’ll be right back, I'm going to go get S.Q.”

I walk up the stairs and finally arrive at his room. I open the door to see S.Q. talking with Mr. Benedict.

“Oh! I’m so sorry!” I close the door and walk to my room and sit at the desk. {We just made cupcakes! We also got boba which was delicious as always, anyway as always love ya and remember to say hi for me!- Olivea} I sat back on my bed and opened a book.

Chapter Text

Sometime during that I closed my eyes but the next time I woke up I was in the backyard. It was fall and the leaves were changing color. However we liked going outside and playing in the backyard, or everyone else playing while the rest of us read a book or did something silently. Someone was crocheting before I was, probably Anna since she always had an interest in that kind of stuff. S.Q. was talking to me but stopped once he realized I wasn’t listening. I pulled out my phone and updated the front log as well as put away my crochet stuff and took a book out to read.

“Hey Rain, I was wondering about something.”

“What’s up?” Constance ran up to him, whispered something in his ear and ran away.

I pulled up the notes app on my phone. {Constance is acting weirder than usual, probably nothing but keep it in mind- Olivea} I put the phone away and walked up to Kate.

“Hey Kate, I was wondering if everyone seems a little- off and maybe that's just me but- I wanted to ask.”

“Oh- well they are probably stressed or something, you know life and all that.” I nod but something tells me she’s not telling me the truth.

I shrug it off as Sticky calls me over to look at some things he found.

“Isn’t it cool stuff? I found it just laying in-” My vision becomes blurry and the voices around me start to fade away.

Slowly Sticky comes back into focus and I can hear him babbling about whatever he found when he passes me a note and gets up to leave.

{Society meeting in the study- sticky} I sigh and take out my phone to update the front log and walk into the study.

Chapter Text

They are all sitting down, Sticky and Reynie on the couch. Kate and Constance are on the floor. I sit between the boys. Kate claps her hands.

“Ok there is major tension and I know, I know after the doctors and that things became tense but I’m tired of not talking!”

“Definitely but what exactly are we talking about? There’s many things going on in life right now.”

The rest of the society look at each other then look at me.

“Oh” I realize now that one of the other alters must have had a conversation with them.

“I- uh can explain.”

“No, no- Raina it’s okay, Mr. Benedict told us about it we just have some questions.”

I nod and prepare for what they want to ask, no I prepare myself what CONSTANCE is about to ask. You know how sassy she can get. Finally Reynie breaks the silence.

“So- first what are all your guy’s names? And pronouns.”

“Well there’s me, uh Anna, she/they, then there’s Ember, he/they, uhh the littles Marceline and Alice, Olivea, she/they and uh I think that’s it.”

“What is a little?” Constance scoffs.

“It’s kinda in the- you know what nevermind.”

Kate and Reynie laugh while Sticky polishes his glasses. I give an awkward laugh and ask if they have any other questions. Sticky and Kate shake their heads. Constance just gives me a side eye and Reynie shrugs.

“For now I don’t have anything else.”

I nod and leave the study and head upstairs. I take out a book and start reading until I hear a knock on my door.

“Hello? Who is it!?”

“S.Q. It’s time for dinner!”

“I’ll be down in a sec!”

I bookmarked my book and headed downstairs, the food smelled wonderful and the desert was amazing! I had pumpkin pie with some whipped cream on top, along with some milk to drink.
