Chapter Text

It was almost eleven in the evening, but the skies were brighter than they should be. The lights of the city of Rome, even though far away, still polluted the surroundings of a large villa by the ocean, so no star could be seen.
A Helicopter descended upon a private landing spot and a tall woman with fiery red hair exited. Quickly slacking it back while walking towards the entrance.
The temperatures were warm, even at night. But the ocean breeze made it bearable for her. She was used to her cooled laboratory. As she was passing into the building, the soldiers scurrowed out of her way to open the entrance into the building.
Her dress shoes echoed with quick strides through the long marble hallways, as her surrounding was completly silent, even though she was not alone, soldiers standing guard at every corner.
But she did not pay them any attention.
Suddenly she could hear a faint click on the floor. She turned her head to find her pen, usually neatly tucked into her pocket, lying on the ground.
The past days the usually so poised woman, became more clumsy. Dropping things, pushing objects off the table or misplacing papers. Even she was annoyed by this out of place behaviour.
She picked the pen up, qickly clicking it two times to check its functionality before returning it into her pocket.
She resumed her way.
It did not take long before she stood infront a magnificent ebony door to the council meeting, entering it just after fixing her tie. She did not enjoy fulfilling this part of her work.
"Just in time Dr. O' Deorain." A man grumbled from the other side of the room.
His back was illuminated by a screen, creating a deep shadow which obscured his features.
"Coming early would be a waste of my time, Akande." She replied as she sat down on the red satin chair. Placing her tablet on the table and folding her hands ontop of it.
The other members did not pay too much attention to her, rather rereading their notes or minding their own buisness. They have long gotten used to the bickering between the woman and their leader.
"I am still waiting for your report." He began once more.
"I am working on it."
"You must fulfill your duties to keep our trust and your funding."
"Keep complaining. I'm sure that will expedite things."
His facial expression was illegitable, but his tensed shoulders and hands showed clear irritation.
"Well then doctor," he tried to keep his voice calm "Present your findings now, so we can discuss further steps."
"Of course." The audience turned their attention to the woman.
She opened her files, containing different head and full body scans of a person and various notes. But to her surprise she also found a new line
"help me."

Notes:

I got invested in this Idea again, so here begins tge rewrite. Have fun

Notes:

Sorry for any mistakes. English is not my first language and I dont have a beta reader. I couldn't resist writing this. I had this idea for such a long time and do not forget: Those are only Ideas and not real science. I just thought Moira was the perfect character to write this pairing and I enjoy her as a character a lot too.
I hope you enjoy :)
