Chapter Text
Kusanagi Nene.
The beauty of Kamiyama Kingdom.
Under all that beauty lies a simple girl whose family was just trying to get by.
Nene had never had anything associated with the word "luxury".
Which is why she was studying at one of the free community colleges in the area.
Her smarts weren't enough to get her a scholarship which often made her parents upset.
Nene was busy working on a project for her tech class when she saw a bird deliver a small note.
She had been receiving these for days since she watched a show at the square.
Its me again.
I've been hoping you get these letters.
I've been thinking about you.
I hope to see you at my next show.
-kamishirui
Nene had been meaning to see this mystery person but has been caught up with her classes and projects.
She really wanted to be in the tech industry so she couldn't relent.
Soon, she heard a knock on the front door.
As soon as she went downstairs, she saw her parents had opened it already.
It was a messenger from the King?!
'What do they want from us?'
'Did mom and dad not pay their taxes?'
There questions kept swarming in her head and she didn't notice her parents call her name.
"Nene!" Her father raised his voice.
She jumped at that and the messenger said,
"No need to be scared. King Tenma requests to speak to you."
"Me?" She asked and pointed at herself and he nodded.
"Do you know why?" She asked again.
"Well, its about his son, Prince Tsukasa. He seems to take interest in you and wants you to stay with him, if you know what I mean."
Nene couldn't believe her ears at all.
A prince...wants to date...her?
"Huh?" She muttered out and the messenger nodded again.
She rushed up to her room.
Nene's parents felt really embarrassed.
"Give her some time to think, she'd come around."
"Of course, I'd be back in an hour to pick her up if she agrees, that is!"
With that the messenger left.
"Nene, what is wrong with you?" Her father questioned. "Don't you know this is a blessing? A prince wanting to involve himself with our daughter?"
"Your father's right. We can finally have the lifestyle we've dreamed of!"
Nene felt overwhelmed.
It was all so sudden.
She didn't even know Prince Tenma!
How could she date a guy she isn't familiar with?
She zoned out her parents screaming with her own voice in her head.
"Nene are you even listening to us?!" Her mom forcefully pushed her shoulder making her stumble.
"Mom, dad.." She started. "I can't date prince Tenma."
"Can you just think of us for a second?"
Nene's eyes widened at her father's selfish words.
"Yeah, if you date him and he falls harder and eventually marries you, we can leave this boring life and live well, maybe even get you into a proper tech school!"
Nene loved the tech school part but she stood her ground.
"BUT I BARELY KNOW HIM!" She raised her voice.
"Well if you aren't willing to make our family thrive consider yourself out of here, you are 19 after all you can fend for yourself."
Nene gasped inaudibly.
She couldn't fend for herself!
She barely got by with the measly allowance her parents gave her.
"Fine." She sighed defeated.
Nene's parents looked at her.
"I'd go."
"Good girl." Her mother said quietly. "You won't regret this ok? Pack your stuff, he's coming in an hour."
With that, her parents left her room.
She slammed herself on her bed and let out a loud exhausted sigh.
Nene Kusanagi...was going to date...Prince Tsukasa Tenma...for money?
She felt bad she couldn't lie.
Leading a man she didn't love in the slightest on.
She found a suitcase and just pushed in any cloth she found and her school books.
She got a small backpack and squeezed in some stuff.
She looked at a bunch of 'kamishirui's letters and squished them in her bag just because.
She was done packing.
This was it.
She was leaving her house for good to be with someone she didn't even love and wasn't ready to love.
She flopped on her bed once again and cried softly.
'Ah nene, you're so beautiful, one day, that's gonna be our saving grace!'
Yeah right.
Something that's making her cry right now.
She knows her face would probably be ruined by the time the messenger gets back so she needed to clean up fast.
She made her way to the bathroom when one name came to her mind.
Kamishirui.
This person really is serious about meeting her.
She probably should the next day.
Maybe she'd feel better being in the presence of someone who truly cared (or seemed to).
Soon enough, the man came again.
She saw her parents talking to him and his eyes lit up when he saw her.
"So, miss Kusanagi, have you made your decision?" He asked.
She hesitated but when her eyes met her parents, she gulped and said, "Yes, I wish to be with Prince Tenma."
She regret everything she said, but seeing how happy her parents were was the only thing that mattered.
Right?
She followed the messenger into the chariot as they ventured to the kings palace.
"You can call me Aoyagi by the way." He broke the long silence and gave a little smile.
"Nene."
"I already know your name trust me."
She realized how stupid it was to say her name to someone who literally appeared at her doorstep.
"So, Aoyagi, why does Prince Tenma even want me?"
"King Tenma has been looking for a partner for his son you see."
Nene listened intensively.
"All the girls either had one issue or the other. They couldn't cook, clean or just wanted the Prince for his royal status or his money."
Nene felt guilty because she fell under the third category.
"But, the King saw someone, a beautiful girl, going to the marketplace one day and she so happened to be you."
She couldn't believe her ears.
"Does Prince Tenma even, know me?"
"No he doesn't."
"So you lied?!"
"Listen, I'm sure your parents would never agree if i said he doesn't even know you."
Nene had so many questions.
Why does he want a partner for Tsukasa so badly?
Why her?
She wants her marriage to be something sweet, something intimate, something...consensual at least.
Not something she was forced into doing.
"Hey, something on your mind?" Aoyagi snapped Nene out of her trance.
"I'm just nervous, how am I meant to love a guy I'm just getting to know."
"Nene, there's something I left out. King wants his son to be married in 2 weeks."
Now she knew she had gone crazy.
She let out a scream and the horses galloped slightly with Aoyagi trying to calm them down.
"Woah woah, please don't scream or they'll lose control."
Nene's face turned pink in embarrassment.
'HOW THE HELL AM I GOING TO FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM IN 2 FREAKING WEEKS?' She asked herself.
She couldn't do this.
"Uh can I get down, please?" She asked nearly tearing up with how overwhelmed she was.
"No can do, we're already here."
She looked up at the palace and damn, was it huge!
Aoyagi helped Nene out of the chariot and walked her to the front gates then into the building.
Immediately they entered the main room, a girl with long black hair welcomed her while taking her suitcase and Aoyagi took his leave.
"Good day, you must be the special guest His Majesty talked about!" She said with a welcoming smile.
"I'm Ichika Hoshino."
"Nene."
"What a beautiful name! And you're really pretty too!"
Nene blushed and received the compliment as she followed Hoshino to wherever she was going.
They soon met a large door which Hoshino knocked on.
"Your Majesty, she's here." she said quietly.
The door was then opened and Nene met a tall blonde man and a slightly shorter blonde man with peach tips sitting on thrones.
Tsukasa's mouth slightly opened in awe of her beauty.
Was this a dream?
Nene was standing in front of King Tenma himself!
"Very well Hoshino, you may leave now."
She bowed as she left the room.
Nene bowed to the King hoping to earn his respect and not make it obvious she did not want to be there.
"Get up, Kusanagi. As you probably would have heard, Prince Tsukasa is looking for a partner. Are you willing to comply?"
Nene was tongue-tied.
She wanted to say no and run away immediately but she couldn't fend for herself in any way.
"Y-Yes, Your Majesty."
That was it.
Nene had put herself in a situation she couldn't get out of.
"Very well. Tsukasa, this is the girl I got for you. Isn't she beautiful?"
Tsukasa gestured for his dad to come closer and whispered, "The Otori girl was cute as well but she was way too hyper."
"Don't worry this one seems meek."
"I'm sure you must be tired after the long journey, Kusanagi!" Tsukasa piped up eradicating the awkward silence.
He then rang a bell.
In less than a minute, a short haired maid came in.
"Hinomori, take her to her room."
"Yes, Your Majesty." She replied in a monotone voice.
"You may leave now."
With that, the girl apparently named Hinomori took Nene's box and led her to another room.
"I'm Shiho Hinomori, you can call me either."
"Kusan- Nene." She always introduced herself with her first name but with people using her last name a lot recently, she accidentally said it.
"Kusanene? Thats a new one." Shiho said opening a door to the room.
"Its Nene." She lowered her head, embarrassed.
When Nene saw the room, she was shocked.
It was huge, to say the least with two beds too.
"Well, I also sleep here, I'm like your bodyguard I guess."
"Oh."
She even got her own bodyguard?!
If only this didn't come with the price of marrying a random guy.
"Hona- I mean Mochizuki would call you for dinner soon, she's making her apple pie, its really nice."
Nene wasn't hungry for anything because of how overwhelmed she was but didn't want to send the message that she was ungrateful.
Nene flopped on her bed, letting out an exhausted sigh.
"You seem tired." Shiho said sitting on her own bed.
Nene hummed in agreement as she opened her backpack.
She pulled out a paper unconsciously.
Its me.
The guy with purple hair and the machines.
I couldn't help but notice you.
I have this urge to meet you.
Hope to see you at my next show.
-kamishirui
That was the first letter she received from him.
And tomorrow was the day she would meet him.
Giddiness filled her stomach as she shoved the letter back in her bag quickly so to be unnoticed.
Shiho looked at her in the corner of her eye but decided not to say anything.
"So, be honest, why're you marrying Prince Tenma?"
Nene froze.
"Uh why're you asking?"
"Most of the girls I slept here with said 'oh his money' 'oh I want to acquire royal status' but you seem so much different."
"I don't understand Hinomori."
"Forget it, another time."
As if on cue, a girl with reddish hair and blue eyes came in.
"Food is ready, miss."
"Call me Nene."
'This must be Mochizuki' she thought.
Nene made her way to the dining area and had her food.
Thankfully, she somehow managed to finish before the Tenmas came but an unfamiliar blonde haired girl with pink tips came rushing to her.
"Hello!!! Oh my goodness, you're so pretty!" She said engulfing Nene in a tight hug.
"I'm Princess Saki Tenma, and you are?!"
"Hng- Nene." She replied choked from the hug.
"Uh, Your Majesty, its time for Nene to get ready for bed now, shes a bit tired."
'Thank you so much, Shiho.' Nene said in her head.
"Awww but I wanted to play with her a bit." Saki said sadly.
"I'm sure she'd be really happy to play with you tomorrow." Shiho said and Nene nodded
"Fine then. Bye bye Nene!" Saki waved enthusiastically as Nene and Shiho left.
"Thank you."
"Don't mention it, its always like this, shes so energetic."
Nene cracked a slight smile.
They made it back to the room and Nene got ready to sleep when a name flashed in her mind AGAIN
Kamishirui.
She was finally going to meet him one on one.
She couldn't wait for what tomorrow holds for her!

Chapter Text
"Are you sure you don't want me to come with you?" Shiho asked Nene as she left her room.
This was it.
She was going to meet the mystery person by the name of 'kamishirui'.
Nene felt so excited.
She never really had friends since she had always been so closed off and shy.
So its kind of like...meeting an online friend sort of?
She hadn't gotten a letter because of the fact she had left her house.
She hoped he didn't think she ignored him or something.
"Its fine, Hinomori. I'm fine I just need to run an errand."
Nene had managed get ready to leave the house before breakfast so she wouldn't have to answer any questions.
"Very well, please don't let Your Majesty know, he would hate his girlfriend to leave the house alone."
Nene cringed at the word.
Girlfriend.
She didn't want to say anything more and quietly left the palace.
It took about 15 minutes to walk to the square.
10:28am.
Nene realized she got there a bit early so she decided to sit at the fountain at the center.
She thought about her school.
'I haven't given them this project, neither have I attended in a few days, I hope this doesn't affect my grades.' She thought.
If only her parents didn't force her to court a guy she doesn't even know just for his status.
Her eyes widened at the realization that she had to face him when she gets back because she had not where else to stay.
"Stupid." Nene mumbled clenching her fists.
She had gotten it.
She needed to run away, and fast.
But to where?
She didn't have friends neither did she have any close family members.
'Or can I just..leave Kamiyama?' Nene thought.
She didn't even know where to go.
Besides, considering how important she was to Tsukasa, she would most definitely not be allowed to leave the house much if Shiho wasn't the only one there.
All this thinking had made Nene a bit tired considering the fact she woke up earlier than she normally would lately.
She placed her hand on her chin as she drifted off.
"Hello? Can you hear me?"
Nene grimaced a bit.
"Are you okay?"
She opened her eyes grudgingly and was met face to face with a tall man with purple and cyan-streaked hair.
"At last we meet!" He exclaimed.
"Kami..shirui?!" She exclaimed.
"The one and only!" He chuckled. "May I have the privilege of knowing your name?"
'He has really beautiful hair.' She thought
"Nene...Kusanagi Nene."
'Kamishirui' chuckled as he reached out his hand for her to take.
She got up from the fountain and shook his hand.
"Kusanagi, can we talk for a bit?" He asked.
"Call me Nene and sure."
They began walking in no particular direction continuing their discussing.
It was really more of Kamishirui asking Nene questions about herself and her experience.
"Alright, get to the point please, why do you want to see me?"
"Ah, I wanted to ask, can we do shows together?"
"What do you mean?"
Nene had no idea how to perform a show of any sort.
"Why me of all people?"
"Call me crazy but, you just looked like someone who seemed interested in the show i put on few days ago."
"I did?"
"Of course!" He exclaimed. "The way your eyes sparkled, the way you intensely watched as my drones fluttered around during the show, it was pretty cute to be honest."
Nene turned pink hearing that.
"I don't even know anything about you-"
"Ah how could I have forgotten! Rui Kamishiro, 20 years of age."
"So 'kamishirui' isn't even your real name and you expect me to partner with you?"
"Mhm!"
"You can't be serious."
Nene couldn't lie, Rui seemed like a quite the character.
Part of her wanted to perform with him.
But the other part thought of how nerve wracking and stressful that would be.
Not only would he have to ask the Prince if she could go for tech classes, she would have to ask if she could perform with a random weirdo she just met.
"How did you even know my house, your letter kept coming every single morning."
"Oh with the help of this!" He pulled out a little device.
She recognized it as a kind of tracker.
"How did you even put that on me?! You were stalking me?"
"Oh, you know what this is?" Rui asked surprised, ignoring her questions.
"Two years at a technology school isn't a joke you know, now answer me!"
Rui's eyes widened, it was like fate brought him a partner fitted exactly for him.
"So you know how to make machines?" He asked curiously.
At this point, Nene had given up.
"Learning to."
"Okay then, you can watch my show today, you'd learn more about me and what I do." Rui said as he realized it was time for him to start.
They made their way back to the fountain and Rui pulled out some junk from his bag which Nene recognized to be machines of some sort.
"This story is about someone who loved machinery and inventing." Rui started.
"He was a young man, more than anything, he loved to invent different machines and was all about creating new concepts."
A drone flew up from his hand.
"He had been the only one around who had this passion so he was pretty lonely obviously."
The drone flew forward slowly.
"When he was still in school, he tried to get people to help him build things."
Four drones flew from the ground and the first drone approached them then, more people came to watch his show.
"But, they couldn't understand what he saw in this hobby, and turned him down, calling him names and making fun of him, even doubting his special skill."
The four drones left one by one.
Nene was wowed at how he could make this kind of stuff.
"He became very sad and began to work by himself. This wasn't the best for him but, he tried to make it work."
"He hoped more than ever to find someone who shared his passion, and some say, he's still looking!"
The drone flew back into Rui's hand as he bowed.
An eruption of applause came from the crowd they left.
He left the middle and made his way back to where Nene stood.
"So, what do you say?"
Nene wanted to do it.
This was the experience she had been yearning for.
But she knew, she couldn't.
"Rui, I...can't."
"What?"
"I really can't, I want to but I don't think.."
She felt guilty.
Because she was really interested.
"Why is that, if I may ask?"
"I don't think I'm allowed." She sighed.
"Ah, I knew you were underaged, no matter, I can- HNG!"
Nene jabbed his stomach.
"What makes you think I'm underage huh?!" Nene shouted at him.
"Its just-"
"You think you're so much older than me cause you're taller huh?! For your information, I am 19 not 12!"
Rui was indeed a whole 9 inches taller than her despite being nearly the same age.
"Ah its fine." Rui choked out. "Anyways, why aren't you 'allowed'?"
No way she was telling him about her courtship with Prince Tenma.
She didn't know how he would react plus, she just met him.
"Uh, my parents think it'll get in the way of school and yeah that's why."
Nene couldn't lie and it was evident.
Rui looked a bit disappointed and upset. "Alright." He sighed.
"It was nice meeting you though Nene, could we still be friends?" He asked.
"Of course!"
Rui's eyes lit up as he said, "Great! Maybe we can talk more with some coffee! What do you say?"
Nene needed to be home, and fast.
She really wanted to talk to him.
"Rui, I'm sorry, I gotta go."
"Why?"
"Bye, see you!"
Nene took off.
'Stupid stupid.' she cursed herself for leaving her new friend like that, no wonder she had no friends.
She ran back to the palace and met two guys at the gate.
The messenger guy and another guy with orange hair, they seemed to be fully immersed in a conversation.
"No way Toya! I don't think we can go today, we have work- oh hello there!" The orange one stopped and looked at Nene with a face she considered quite charming.
"You're doing it again Akito..." The messenger sighed earning a slight hit from the ginger haired guy.
"Ah Kusanagi, you're back! The Prince was looking for you."
Shit.
"Oh he was? Thank you, I'd go attend to him now!" Nene said as she was let in.
She walked in quickly with her heart racing.
'I hope he doesn't think I'm going to meet some guy I have a thing with, goodness knows what'll happen if he thinks I'm unfaithful and kicks me out, my parents would kill me.' She thought while speed-walking.
Luckily for her, she met Hoshino at the door so she didn't need to knock.
"Hoshino!! Please let me in!" She said loudly then stopped to catch her breath.
"Kusanagi! Where have you been? His Majesty has been quite fussy without you and it's kind of annoying." She said with an annoyed face.
Crap.
When she's back to her room, she would definitely need to apologize to Shiho for all this.
"It's fine, I'm here now."
Hoshino nodded as she opened the door.
Nene tried make her way to her room as quick as possible but was met face-to-face with none other than,
Prince Tenma.
"NENE!" He screamed with tears in his eyes as he ran to hug her.
"I MISSED YOU SO MUCH WHERE DID YOU GO? I WANTED TO GET TO KNOW YOU TODAY!" He sobbed loudly.
"I ran some errands I'm fine." She cringed.
'You literally just met me yesterday.' she thought.
Well, here she was now.
In Tsukasa’s room, sitting on his bed with him.
After he insisted she had a “late breakfast”, he escorted her to his room to have some “alone time.”
They talked a lot.
The Tenma history, what else he does apart from being a Prince, how much he loves Princess Saki, you name it, he’s said it.
“So, Nene, what do you like to do?” He asked stroking her hair.
Nene truly had no clue why he was being so familiar with her on their second day of meeting.
‘This is my chance.’ She thought.
“So, Your Majesty-”
“Tsukasa. Call me Tsukasa.”
“Right, Tsukasa, I actually attend tech school every weekday so I want to seek permission formally.”
Nene’s heart was racing.
He could say no and all her tech dreams would be gone.
Also her dreams of helping her new friend, Rui.
She had to apologize to him.
He invited her for coffee and she turned it down, how rude of her!
“Sure, but Hinomori has to go with you!”
Nene’s heart sank.
No way was she going to embarrass herself!
“Uh, only students are allowed on campus so she unfortunately can’t come.”
Nene’s eyes twitched again.
Something she often did when lying.
“Nene, you’re mine you know that?”
Gross
“I can’t have some other guys all over you.”
He pulled her in for a hug.
Nene froze.
This felt icky.
She didn’t love him.
She needed to run away from this, fast, before the two weeks passed.
After some persuasion and a bit of begging, he finally allowed Nene go for school.
But on the condition that she was to be home by 4pm.
She felt like a kid again but hey, whatever works…
She made her way to her room after and saw Shiho relaxing on her bed.
“Hinomori.” Nene called.
“Oh, you’re back!”
Nene smiled.
“How was your date with Your Majesty, I might have seen you going to his room.” Shiho teased.
Ew.
“Nothing like that I’m sure.” Nene said with a hint of disgust which made Shiho laugh.
“He sure does get attached easily.”
“Tell me about it.” Nene sighed.
Nene’s mind went back to the morning.
‘Rui.’ She thought.
How was she going to face him.
She decided she was going to make a decision she may or may not regret in the long run.
This opportunity couldn’t pass her by no matter what!
Chapter 3: Thank you
Chapter Text
Two days had passed since she met her new friend.
Those two days were hell for Kusanagi Nene.
The guilt after she left him, the guilt the next day because she didn't get to see him because she was busy tending to the Prince's "needs".
Those needs being staying by his side wherever he went and listening to whatever he was talking about.
How could he have already caught feelings in a few days?
Did he meet her in his past life or something?
Or did King just really want him to get married that fast?
Now, she was currently on Prince Tenma's bed, trying to pry herself from his hold.
He suggested they cuddled to "bond with each other" but it was mostly him just giving her a suffocating hug.
She had tech school today, so she couldn't stay the whole day in this situation.
Tsukasa being a heavy sleeper didn't help matters at all.
She later successfully wriggled out of his grasp.
'Maybe him being a heavy sleeper really did do something.' she thought happily as she quietly left his room.
Nene speed walked to her room to get ready for the classes when she noticed a little paper on the window.
I'm sorry.
Please come back and let's compromise, i really need you and your help.
-kamishirui
Now, Nene was a bit ticked off.
What if someone saw the letter and thought about it in a wrong way?!
She was going to give him a scolding when she sees him.
She couldn't risk being thrown out of this place.
As much as she hated it, she couldn't leave no matter how hard she tried.
Speaking of leaving, she was genuinely considering her running away plan but she'd deliberate further in that after school.
She quickly got ready and was about to leave the room when she noticed Shiho had woken up.
"Whats up with you? Haven't seen you since last night." She asked with her monotone voice.
"Its him, he asked me to sleep in his bed."
"I'm so sorry, you can tell him you aren't comfortable or I can tell him-"
Nene's heart melted because of the kindness displayed but she couldn't risk it.
"It's fine, thank you Hinomori." Nene said leaving.
Nene left the palace and began her journey to school.
It took a bit longer though so she was gonna end up being a bit late for lectures but that was fine.
While walking, she remembered SHE FORGOT HER PROJECT.
Crap crap crap
She stopped in her tracks and nearly started sobbing.
Her grades...her parents.
She decided to just go and see what happens.
She got into the building and located her class then took her seat.
Thankfully, the class was about to start.
The blue-haired teacher was talking about some stuff when Nene's seating partner tapped her.
"Nene, whats up? You haven't been here in forever."
She laughed at her partner's exaggeration.
"Seems someone missed me." She playfully said.
"Of course I did! Who else's gonna help me understand what Mr Kaito says, I swear its like he's speaking a different language sometimes."
Nene missed this.
Joking around with Akiyama.
They seemed to be really unserious on the surface but deep down, they were a really good graphic designer.
"Geez, he's said a lot lately, the one time I decide to come was when he started talking about some big assignment."
'Crap.' Nene thought.
The class soon ended and Nene was called back by her teacher.
"Miss Kusanagi, your attendance has been lacking lately. Is something going on?"
'Ah, Mr Kaito, always concerned about his students.' Nene thought.
"I'm fine." She responded.
"If you need to talk, I'm here, you're always a good student and I wouldn't stand there and watch your grades fall because of something I could've helped out with." He gave Nene a warm smile.
Nene returned the smile as she left to meet Akiyama.
"So, Nene, what happened on your days off?" They asked walking to their next class.
"It was crazy to say the least." She replied exhausted.
"Oooo does Nene have a new family?" They teased.
Nene got flustered as she started pinching Akiyama.
"Hey! That tickles! Haha- you're really bad at pinching."
Nene pouted as she left Akiyama making them chase after her apologizing.
Classes went by after a few hours and Nene couldn't be more relieved.
Next destination, Rui.
She hoped he'd still be there because his show ended hours ago.
"Hey, Nene, wanna go eat something I'm starving!" Mizuki whined.
"I need to be somewhere but tomorrow I promise."
"Oooo going to meet the Mister! Have fun~" They teased.
Nene wanted to punch them but she had to run so she said her goodbyes.
Walking around the square for nearly an hour was definitely not Nene's favorite way to pass time.
It was about 50 minutes to her "curfew" and she needed to be on her way to the palace.
Her stomach rumbled. She hadn't eaten in a while after all.
Almost immediately, she noticed a small café. Talk about perfect timing.
She walked in and was greeted by a black haired girl with blue tips.
"Welcome! Please go ahead and take your order out front!"
Nene made her way to the counter and met an older man.
She felt something tap her and she looked to her right.
It was Rui?!
"Ah~ Nene, happy to see you again!" Rui beamed.
"Excuse me, make it a table for two please."
Rui and Nene made their way to their table and started conversing.
"Could it be, you've changed your mind?" He asked.
"No, I'm here to tell you to quit stalking me!" She spat.
Rui chuckled madly. "Aww you saw my letter, but really, I need your help badly."
Nene frowned. She REALLY wanted this.
A new friend who's more or less a genius when it comes to robots and stuff. What more could she ask for?
"Ok, let's do it like this, I will plan your next show with you but we need to adjust the times." Nene compromised.
"Really?! Nene you've made me so happy!" Rui exclaimed earning a few stares.
"Shh keep it down, lets just hurry up ok? I need to be home soon."
Their meal came a little later and they quickly ate it before they left the place.
They walked around the square a bit more, discussing their plans.
Rui finally decided that Nene would be his “assistant” or in simpler terms, his guinea pig.
Nene wasn’t really skilled in building bots yet so she got the job of testing out Rui’s bots and just helping him out.
“Nene, I’m not having a show tomorrow so maybe you can come over to mine?”
Nene was shocked.
He was already inviting her to his place?!
“Why is that?” She asked suspiciously.
“Oh, I need to show you some bots and brief you on my next show idea.”

“Don’t try sending any letters to me or consider this deal done!”
Rui chuckled as Nene ran off back to the palace.
