Chapter Text

(Aurora's Pov)

"Arie come on get up" my brother yelled at me.

"Too tired" I mumbled burying my head deeper into my pillow

"Fine then you're going to miss breakfast which will make you late for the meeting," Percy said grabbing his things to head out.

"I'll meet you at breakfast," I said reluctantly getting up from my bed.

"See you there," he said walking out the door.

I got up and changed into my jeans, sneakers, and a blue tank top with my charm bracelet/ sword τσουνάμι or Tsunami. I fixed my long black hair into a half ponytail and walked out the door. It was only a few weeks after the war but everyone was starting to settle back down to their old habits or starting new ones.

When I got to the Dining Pavilion nobody would actually look me in the eye or talk to me even the seven. Frank and Hazel had come up because everyone is still working out with the new knowledge that another camp exists. I went to sit down at the Poseidon table with Percy and noticed he was acting strangely too.

"Percy," I asked, "Is everything ok?"

"Yeah," he said facing away from me

"You sure everyone is acting weird"

"It's just the meeting today nobody wants to go" he halfheartedly mumbled as he was getting up from the table. I watched him as he went over and started whispering to Annabeth who quickly looked my way before they headed to the arena.

I finished eating and went to the lake to talk to the water nymphs but even they were acting weird around me. They were always friendly to me even though my Aura is stronger than most even Percy's that's why I haven't been able to leave camp for so long. Chiron won't even let me on a quest after what happened last time and the number of monsters that were following me when I barely made it to camp when I was nine. I walked off leaving them to their gossip.

I saw Grover and Juniper talking so I walked up.

"Hey," I said as I walked over "what's up".

"Nothing," Grover quickly blurted out. That earned a smack from Juniper.

"I have this... thing to do.... for Percy... I should probably go do that.... now" he managed to get out before running away like it was Enchilada day.

"Seriously what is with people today?" I said turning to look at Juniper only to notice that she had left.

Fine, if everyone wants to be that way let them. I thought to myself going over to the Rockwall to avoid people. As I was climbing up again, I started thinking people didn't act this weird around me when everyone realized I was stronger than Percy. It was weird when I was first discovering my new powers. Percy and I can do all the same things but mine are almost amplified and because of my Aura even mortals can kinda sense it which causes everyone to know if I am having a strong emotion. I remembered when I was injured and almost flooded the camp after the second war and the scariest of them all was when we found out I could blood bend. I never use it on anyone one not even monsters unless I absolutely have to. I remembered how scared everyone around me was that I would snap after Natalie died on the quest three years ago and when Oliver and Sophie died in the Titan war they stayed as far away as possible.

"Rory, it's time for the meeting, come down" Nico was yelling up to me from the bottom of the Rockwall.

"Ok" I shouted as I quickly made my way down.

When I got to the bottom Nico and I started walking up to The Big House and just as I was about to ask him what was going on, he shadow traveled inside. I was slowly getting angrier and angrier as I patiently walked up to the house and sat at the table while all the other counselors filed in (they let both me and Percy stay because it was only the two of us). Unlike all the other meetings where everyone is talking and messing around before Chiron got there everyone was quiet and trying to avoid looking at me. That was it I stood up and was just about to yell at all of them when Chiron walked in the door.

"Ms. Black please take your seat," Chiron said to me calmly, but I noticed even he would not look directly at me.

Come on I thought he has been alive for thousands of years. What is so bad that even he cannot look me in the eye? I sat there quietly fuming and I knew everyone else could tell I was mad because they all became restless more so than a room full of ADHD kids usually is. They started talking about the regular stuff the meetings go over and about halfway through scheduling the next Capture the Flag when Katie Gardener started slowly moving her chair away from me. That just made me madder and everyone started shooting me nervous glances every once in a while.

"Ok, you can all go back to your activities unless I asked you to stay," Chiron told everyone.

"Not you Aurora," Chiron told me as I started to get up.

A new wave of anger rolled off me which caused all the people leaving to hurry up and the rest to start shifting nervously. After a few minutes, the only people left were the seven, Nico and me sitting in the room waiting for Chiron to talk.

"As everyone in this room knows Aurora has an unusually high Aura even for a child of the Big Three plus advanced powers" he continued " and that after the second war the gods decided that each of you and others deserved something to make up for your loss. I am aware that all of you already got yours"

This came as a surprise to me but everyone else nodded which did not help my temper causing Chiron to shoot me a worried look. But continued nonetheless turning to me which made me lean forward finally interested.

"And as a gift for you Poseidon, Hephaestus, and Hecate have been working on an Aura dampener so you can leave camp without as many monsters attacking you all the time it will not affect your powers either," he said looking at me hopefully as was everyone else.

I didn't know what to say so my mouth was just hanging open. I mean I have lived with being stuck in camp all this time and now I finally get to leave and go on a quest without more people getting hurt.

"Thank you" I whispered nearly on the verge of tears at this point all my anger gone.

Percy came up and hugged me, smiling then Hazel joined till everyone left in the house was hugging Piper and even pulled Nico in. They all pulled away so the Chiron could give me the necklace.

The necklace was beautiful. It has some sort of heart-shaped gem in the middle that was a dark blue. The whole setting was black and had little black gems that came onto the heart almost like wings.

"I was also told to tell you some things about it," Chiron said "first only you can remove it no matter what. Secondly, it is nearly unbreakable. Thirdly if you do take it off it will return to you. And for some reason your father wanted me to tell you that it will shrink or grow to fight you" he finished.

"Can I tell her now?" Piper whispered to Chiron. He nodded

"There is one more thing we ha—" she started

"No, nobody has to do anything else this is more than enough," I said

"Trust me sis you'll want to hear this" Percy says. Nodding Piper to continue

"We all know that you had a family before you came here," she said hesitantly at first

I was shocked I never talked about them. I nodded telling her it was ok to go on.

"So, we all decided to try to find them because everyone agrees that you deserve a break for all our crazy half-bloodiness," she said looking to Annabeth to continue.

"The whole camp helped," Frank said.

"And we found then in LaPush, Washington, and might have arranged a flight with Zeus for you tomorrow to go there," Annabeth said looking at me for once unsure

"Thank you all so much, thank you thank you thank you," I said pulling them all in for a hug again.

"Wait a second," I said pulling away, wiping the few tears that fell from my eyes away.

They all looked nervous.

"Is that why everyone was acting weird around me today?" I asked

"Of course, it is no one wanted to give away the surprise" Leo answered smiling in his mischievous way.

"and literally no one can keep a secret from you" Jason added.

I smiled back then joined the hug again.

That night at dinner I burned nearly all my food for Zeus, Dad, Hephaestus, and Hecate as a thank-you for the gifts. After dinner, I packed up all my stuff to leave the next day before I drifted into a peaceful sleep.

Chapter Text

I was so excited to finally got to see my family, well my other family, and my childhood home after 7 years. When Hazel told me, it was the same address I was so happy that my dad and brother had not moved since I left.

"Percy, Percy come on we're going to be late," I said trying to get him up by shaking him.

It was the first time that I got up early. Normally I would always stay up way too late and sleep in.

"What?" He said, getting up already reaching for the Riptide.

"The flight we have to get ready" I explained

"Oh," he said, realizing that there was no danger and laying down again.

"Come on," I said again trying to wake him up

"The flights not till noon, you have 6 hours before we have to leave" he responded

"Are you telling me that I woke up for nothing" I grumbled realizing my mistake too late "I'm going back to bed then" I continued walking over to my bunk

A few minutes after I fell back asleep Percy threw a pillow at me.

"Come on I can't go back to bed because of you so you don't get to sleep either" he explained.

"Fine," I said getting up

Percy and I finished sparring in the arena after I won, ever since Tartarus I win because he doesn't try I can tell he is trying to control himself. Annabeth and him still don't talk about all that happened down there and no one pushes it. We started making our way to the dining pavilion to grab some water.

"What to head to the lake after this," I asked

"Sure, just let me head to the restroom first meet you there" he responded

"Ok," I replied, heading back to the cabin to change out of my training clothes.

Almost as soon as I was done changing, I heard a knock on the door I opened it to see Nico.

"Hi Nico, what's up," I say

"Chiron wants to talk to you," he said turning to walk "come on Rory"

"Ok," I responded.

"So, no shadow traveling today," I asked jokingly

"Sorry about that it's just almost no one can keep a secret from you, so we all had to stay away" he apologized.

"It ok's I know you just didn't want to ruin it," I said

"Also, Annabeth kind of promised to beat up whoever ruined it for you, and she has Percy so," he said looking a little scared.

"Don't tell me the famous Ghost King was scared" I said faking surprise

"Hey, you know how scary Annabeth can be when she wants to be" he replied defending himself

"I know it's just fun to mess with you," I said happily

He mumbled something under his breath I just could not make out.

"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that" I responded "So anything new you want to talk about," I said while we were walking in front of the Apollo cabin.

"Nope" he replied

"Really nothing at all?"

"No why do you ask"

"No reason just something Piper mentioned to me"

"Dang it, she promised," he said sounding annoyed

"Oh, you know I was going to find out eventually," I said, hoping to defend her.

"Still just a little longer would have been nice" Nico again replied

"You're not denying it," I noticed

I gasped as realization dawned in my eyes ''It is official ''I whispered we were well past the Apollo cabin now.

He looked up to me pleading and whispering "no don't do it please gods no"

"Oh, you know that's not going to help," I said saving him the trouble "Ok we are going to need a ship name"

"Fine but I have veto rights" he stated

"Ok, name?" I asked for more information

"Will Solace" he whispered so only I could hear.

"I can work with that let's get started"

"Wico" I offered

"Veto," he said almost instantly

"Nicoll"

"Veto"

"Willco"

"Veto"

"Di Solace"

"Veto"

"Solangelo"

"Vee-" He started "No wait that one actually works"

"Yes, it's official Solangelo. Piper is going to be so happy" I said, satisfied that I had come up with the perfect ship name. He walked me halfway there then had to go do some other thing.

It was always fun when Nico and I could just talk like that and we were always close friends. I was the one he talked to when he didn't have to be the 'Son of Hades' and could just be himself and one day he even taught me how to play Mythomagic. He was one of my best friends because he knew how it was to be different from all your other friends. I always got sad when he had to go to the Underworld or on a quest because it would mean I was alone. I always had the Seven, but they usually had important things to do. This time would be different though I would be the one leaving and don't get me wrong I was so happy to be going back to LaPush, but this was my home to now. I really hope some of them still visit me in Washington.

As I was thinking I was not paying attention, so I got to The Big House sooner than expected. I knocked on the walk-in after Chiron told me to.

"Aurora, your father asked me to explain something to you about your hometown," He said, looking confused.

"What about it?" I asked, getting curious as I sat down.

"Well apparently your family are shape-shifters that can turn into wolves," he said tentatively

"You mean from the legends," I said trying to make sense of it

"Yes" he responded

"Wow, dad always told me the legends were true" was all I could say

"That's not the only thing you need to know" he continued "apparently a friendly coven of vampires has also taken up residency in a house by the town there"

"The cold ones," I said quietly

"Well it turns out Vrykolaks didn't fade they changed into vampires instead" he explained

"oh, so we have dealt with them before" I sigh happily not having to worry about any new craziness once I get home.

I stopped by cabin 6 because Chiron told me there were some books that I needed to read there before heading to the lake.

"Hey, sorry I'm late" I apologized when I saw Percy by the lake

"No problem Nico told me that you had to talk to Chiron" he explained

"Yeah about that there are some things you need to know '' I said getting ready to try to explain everything.

"It's fine, sis, dad already told me about it," he said walking up to me on the top of the beach "just call me if there's ever trouble, I'll get there"

"I know you will"

"Or any one of the seven, I'm pretty sure Nico would unleash Cerberus to help you if you needed it" he joked

"Can you imagine how much explaining we would have to do if that happened," I asked

"Still, it might happen" he answers

"One last thing," I said

"What?" he asked

"RACE YOU TO THE LAKE" I yelled already running towards the water

"CHEATER" I heard him yell trying to catch up.

I made it to the water first letting myself get wet but as soon as Percy was about to dive in, he sent a wave my way. I responded by shooting a water ball at him. Starting a full-out water war between the two of us.

(Annabeth's Pov)

It was almost Lunchtime and it was my job to remind them of the flight, so I walked down to the lake where they almost always are.

I heard splashing and good-hearted insults coming from the lake as I got closer only to see my boyfriend and his sister. They were both behind walls of water and throwing water at each other, how is it that some of the strongest people at camp can still splash each other like children. As I looked closer, I saw the books I gave Aurora in a little air bubble below her.

"PERCY, AURORA YOU HAVE TO GET READY FOR YOUR FLIGHT" I shouted hoping they could hear me.

The next thing I know I am soaked in water from a deflected water ball that hit me right in the face.

That is when they realized I was there and got quiet ending their water war

(Percy's Pov)

I saw it just moments before the ball hit Annabeth, but it was too late.

Aurora and I both looked at each other only imagining what was going to happen next. We slowly put the water back to normal and got to the shore.

"Annabeth, I'm so so so sorry, please don't be mad" I begged, watching the water drip down her face.

"Really" was the only thing she said

Aurora and I just stood there shocked for a moment not expecting her to be so calm about being soaked in water.

"Well, are one of you going to help me get dry or anything?" she asked, sounding irritated. Aurora moved her hand and Annabeth was completely dry again,

"You're not mad at us," Aurora asked

"No" Annabeth responded "It's too happy a day to be mad"

"Now come on you two after lunch we have to go to the airport," she said looping her arm through Aurora's and walking toward the dining pavilion.

(Aurora's Pov)

After lunch, I went to the cabin to grab my bag and put my necklace on. When I said goodbye to everyone and promised to IM them Percy, Annabeth, Nico, and I all went into the car to drive to the airport.

(At the Airport)

"Are you sure I can fly?" I asked for the tenth time

"Yes, you have a special OK from Zeus himself to fly today" Annabeth explained

"Ok, why are there two tickets? Who's coming with me?" I asked noticing the second ticket

"Not me one child of Poseidon flying is lucking enough let's not push the luck," Percy said when I looked at him

"I have to stay and take care of Seaweed brain here or who knows what will happen" Annabeth responded

"Yay, that means you Nico have to spend more than 6 hours with me and no escaping," I said happily

"Uh no I didn't think this through can I still change my mind," he said playing around

"Uh stop it we'll have fun," I said hitting him on the arm "you guys promise you'll come to visit when you have a chance you don't have to fly," I said looking and Percy and Annabeth

"We promise we will visit and so will everyone else" Annabeth responded

"You better," I said hugging them both goodbye

We all said our goodbyes and Nico and I boarded the flight with a little help from the mist to get past security. When we got Seated I started thinking about where we were going into.

To LaPush. To home. To my other family. To werewolves. To vampires

Chapter Text

Nico and I took turns sleeping on the plane because it would not end well if a monster was able to sneak up on us when we were 38,000 feet in the air. When we landed we grabbed our bags and walked out to see if there was a taxi we could hire to drive us to my parent's house.

We found a taxi and loaded our bags in the trunk and climbed into the backseat.

"What's the address," the cab driver asked

"8320 LaPush Road" I responded

We paid the driver, unloaded the few bags we had, and walked to the door.

"Wait Nico," I said realizing something

"What?" He asked confused

"Can you see any scars?" I asked turning so he could check

"Stop," He said pulling up my collar.

"Remember the Harpie claw marks on your neck" he reminded me.

"Right," I said "I'll tell them eventually just not at first"

"I understand," he said

We started walking up to the door.

"I can't do it," I said tugging on Nico's arm.

"Yes, you can," He said pulling me forward "You wouldn't have come this far if you didn't want to try"

I walked the rest of the way to the door gripping Nico's hand and knocked on the door.

(Nico's Pov)

I had never seen Rory this nervous about anything before and because she was nervous it made me nervous. I guess that Necklace didn't change that about her Aura. She had lost so much already everyone just wanted her to finally be happy even if that meant she would have to leave camp for a while.

She walked up to the door with a death grip on my hand and knocked.

(Aurora's Pov)

"Bella, I told you Jacob ---" My dad said as he opened the door and stopping when he realized it was me.

"Dad," I said as I let go of Nico and bent down to give him a hug.

"Aurora," He said as he hugged me back

We both started crying as Nico kinda stood outside the door awkwardly watching our family reunion. Until we separated and I walked back over to him.

"Dad, Whose at the door?" My brother asked as he came out of his room

(Jacob's Pov)

I just woke up when I heard someone at the door. Bella must have finally come over to the house. The calls were getting annoying but I thought I would have a least a few more days before she came by the house.

I heard dad open the door then it was silent till I heard crying. Starting to think it wasn't Bella after all.

"Dad, Whose at the door?" I asked as I came out of my room

When I saw her standing there my little sister the one that I haven't seen in seven years. The one I would always make fun of and pull pranks with. The one that had to go to a boarding school the day after mom died.

The next thing I know I'm over there hugging her.

"Rosie your back," I said stilling hugging her.

(Aurora's Pov)

"I'm back Jacob," I said crying again and hugging him back.

"Jake," I said after a few more seconds "I still need to breathe"

He put me down and finally seeing Nico still in the doorway still just standing there.

"Rosie, Who is he?" Jacob asked stepping in front of me

"He's a friend from school" I responded going around him to stand next to Nico

"Nico this is my brother Jacob and my dad," I said introducing them "Jacob, dad this is Nico"

"Hi," Nico said finally talking

"Does he go to your school?" dad asked

"Yes and he's my cousin from my other father's side" I replied

"Rosie your room is still set up. Will he be staying in LaPush?" Jacob asked

"That was what we planned for," Nico said

"It's fine we can just share my room then" I replied

"We?" Dad asked

"Oh, right you don't know," I said realizing just how much they didn't know "Let me and Nico put our stuff away then I'll explain everything I promise.

After me and Nico put most of our stuff away we walked back into the dining room.

"Interrogation time I assume?" I asked when we sat down.

"You bet" Jacob stated

"I'm going to go to Harry's your guys' counselor already called and explained everything," Dad said as he wheeled away earning a look between me and Nico.

"first question" Nico started the conversation.

"How are you?" he asked

I hesitated long enough for Nico to give me a worried look.

"I'm fine" I responded

I knew Jacob could tell I was lying he was one of the few people who could tell. But instead, he dropped it and moved on to different questions.

"where have you been?" he asked

"well the boarding school is up in New York then I spent the summers with my father's side of the family" I responded

"you took a short trip to California too" Nico added

"right and a super short trip up to Tennesse but we had to come back" I added trying not to remember the quest.

"Wow you've traveled a lot of places" Jake exclaimed, "what happened to you after the car accident?"

"I couldn't stay around without mom so I went away to be alone. I'm so sorry for leaving you without a goodbye I just didn't want to change my mind before I left. I almost came back here so many times" I answered truthfully

"Rose it's fine I know how hard it was after mom died but we missed you so much. You nearly destroyed dad he thought you left because you didn't think we would love you" he replied

"I'm so sorry I should have come back but I had other things I needed to do for my father," I said again

"ok another question then," Jacob said trying to move on from the depressing subject " Who was the 'We' that planned this trip?"

"I actually don't know this trip was a surprise," I said turning to Nico "but he helped plan it so he should know"

"oh well um," he said just realizing the conversation had turned to him " well Percy of course"

"Percy?" jake questioned, "who's that?"

"well he is my brother from my father's side," I said "you will really like him when he comes to visit"

It almost sounded like Jacob growled. Hmm, I wondered if he was close to shifting if he hadn't already.

"Then there was Annebeth, Piper, Jason, Leo, Hazel, Frank, The Stolls, Annebeth's siblings, Mr. Burner, and Reyna" Nico continued

"any more questioned," I asked

"nope that's it" he replied

"ok, I have one," I said

"shoot," he said

"whose Bella?" I asked

He didn't answer at first instead he blushed, my big brother was actually embarrassed about something.

"you might want to answer faster and lose the blush," Nico said knowing what I was about to do

"Too late," I said

"Too late for what?" Jake asked

"for me to realize that you have a crush on this Bella and that going to annoy for a while now" I answered him

"that to later for that" Nico said sighing

"Ok, now I have to meet her?"

"NO" Jake yelled

"Fine, any more questions," I asked

"Nope," Nico and Jake said at the same time

"Ok, I have major jet lag I am going to bed," I said walking to my room

"'Night" Jacob offered

As I looked around my bedroom it was exactly how I remembered it. The bed was still on the same wall as the door and the dresser next to it. The closet was across from the bed with me and Nico's suitcases in it. The window on the free wall with two bookshelves on either side of it was full of my knick-knacks and my desk under the window. I loved looking out my window at night to see all the animals in the woods.

I changed into my nightgown leaving my necklace on and climbing under the covers of my bed. When I rolled over in my bed I saw a little aquarium set up with a blue and black seahorse and a purple seahorse with a note next to it.

' Dear Aurora,

Here's a gift to remind you of home. Have fun

There were two of them floating close to the glass. One was mostly black with some dark blue stripes near his crest. The other was purple with little flecks of white on it.

"So what are your names?" I asked the Seahorse

"I am Stormy" the purple one responded

"And I'm Trident" the blue and black replied

"Nice to meet you Stormy, and Trident tell me if you need anything," I said

"Ok" they both answered

After our conversation, I drifted off to bed.

Chapter Text

~Time Skip (a few days later)~

"Do you have to go? "I asked one more time while Nico and I were sitting in my room

"Yes, but I'll be back in a few months I promise" Nico answered" and I think Jason is coming up in a few weeks"

"Fine but it won't be the same" I countered

"I know who could replace me" He joked

"Oh no one could reach your level of annoying " I offered

"I'm hurt" he exclaimed faking shock

"so Airplane or Shadowtravel?" I asked knowing my dad was at Harry's and Jake was with his friends

"Shadowtravel I only took the Airplane because I figured you wouldn't want to fly by yourself" replied

"And for that, I thank you" I agreed "I wouldn't have made it on my own"

"No problem"

"I know the real reason you're going back" I whispered

"No, you don't"

"That would mean that you were able to keep a secret from me"

"ugh, I know I just wish that you wouldn't overreact"

"When have I ever overreacted?" I asked "wait, actually doesn't answer that"

He laughed.

"So when I visit am I going to be allowed to visit this Will Solace"

"No"

"Really just no that's all I get. What's stopping me from Iris Messaging him right now" I asked as I created mist from the sink water

"No please don't you can meet him at camp just not now" Nico hurriedly blurted out embarrassed.

"Your blushing you know"

"Shut up"

"Never, When am I visiting next?"

"I don't know. It was really Annebeth who planned the schedule of this"

"I'll IM her tomorrow to ask or I could try vapor travel again"

"Please do I had never heard Clarisse scream so loud before"

"It was an accident I was trying to go to cabin 6" I pouted crossing my arms

"Still funny"

"Let me try it I'll go to the Kitchen"

"Ready?"

"Ready"

I moved the water molecules in my body to separate and move to the kitchen then put them back together again. (Sorry if the science makes absolutely no sense)

"Rory you there?" Nico asked from the bedroom

"Yep and all in one piece I told you I could do it" I declared

"well now that you can work on that I better go or I'm going to be late"

"Late for what?"

"Not doing it nope," He said as he stepped into a shadow

I counted to a hundred then created mist again.

"Oh Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, please accept my offering and show me, Nico Di Angelo"

"you have a date," I said as soon as he answered

"Yes I do now please go away I have to get ready"

"SOLANGELO" I shouted before he swiped his hand through the mist ending the connection.

The next day I got bored in the house because Jake was passed on his bed and dad was watching football so I went for a walk in the woods. When Jake woke up he promised me we would meet his friends.

As I was walking back I saw a red truck parked in front of the house and a little pale teenager walking inside the house. I started jogging forward only to see a bunch of shirtless guys walking towards the house too. When I made it to the house the women were angrily walking out toward the group of guys. Somehow we all met each other at the same time but before I could say anything the woman was yelling at the tall guy in front.

"YOU, WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM? WHAT DID YOU DO TO JACOB?" She started screaming

Jacob was fine when I left the house. What could have happened while I was away I mean he was passed out when I left. But the next thing I know the woman slapped some other guy.

When the girl slapped the guy he started shaking and burst into a giant wolf. He started running towards the girl so I pushed her back for her to start running. I almost grabbed for Tsunami before realizing they were part of Jacob's pack and I shouldn't hurt them. As I was about to look at the wolf I heard Jake yelling so I turned and like an idiot didn't pay attention to my opponent. He got a scratch on my arm pushing me down before Jake jumped and turned into his own wolf blocking the path to me. The scratch wasn't deep and it wasn't the worst injury I had gotten but it still was bleeding and hurt like Hades.

"Embry, Jared take them to Emily's now," the tall one says

Two guys I'm guessing were Embry and Jared each started walking to the car. One of them came over and helped me up to walk to the car but I shook him off.

When we got into the car and Bella and me slid into the backseat they realized they didn't know who I was.

"Are you ok?" one asked

"Who are you?" the other one asked at the same time

"I could ask you the same question" I retorted

"I am Jared," one of them said

"And I'm Embry" the other responded

"Nice to meet you," I said, " and you?" I asked turning to the pale girl next to me who looked close to fainting

"I'm Bella" she answered "are you just going to ignore the fact that you're bleeding"

"oh your Bella, I was hoping to meet you but Jake said no" I explained, " and I don't mind the blood."

"and who did you say you were again," Embry asked

"Sorry forgot to introduce myself. I'm Aurora Black Jake's sister" I introduced myself apply pressure on my arm trying not to bleed on the seats

The looks I got from all three of them made me think that Jake has not mentioned me before.

"He never told you guys about me did he?" I asked no one in particular

"Never heard of you," Embry said

"humph that means Jake is going to have some explaining to do when he gets back" I pouted

"speaking of that I bet Jake is going to be mad when he realizes Paul hurt his sister," Embry said

"oh definitely" Jared exclaimed almost happy

"I bet he gets a few hits in" Embry started

"No way I think Pauls going to win" Jared countered

"Are you kidding did you see the mid-air phase" Embry referenced when Jake jumped in front of me

"Where are we going?" I asked interrupting their argument

"We are heading to Emily's house" Embry offered

"Sam's going to be mad that she knows," Jared thought out loud

"We all knew he was going to find a way to tell Bella we just didn't know he told her" Embry replied

" Jake didn't tell me I already knew" I offered

"How?" they both asked at the same time dumbfounded that I could know their secret

"I have my ways" was all I said

"don't stare when we get inside Sam doesn't like it" Embry warned us

We had arrived at the house and Bella helped me out of the car so I wouldn't hit my arm. When we got to the porch Bella started talking to another guy that I didn't know.

"Oh, dear, What happened to your arm?" A lady with a scar on her face in the kitchen asked

"Paul got mad and got her she says she fine though," Embry said with a mouth full of muffins already

"Here let me look at that," the lady said beckoning me to a chair

As I sat down she went to the cabinets and pulled out a first aid kit then sat next to me to start working on the scratch.

"Hi, I'm Aurora" I introduced myself

"I'm Emily, Sam's fiance," she said

"I'm sorry but who is Sam," I asked because I still didn't know most of the people there

"You've probably seen him before but you will meet everyone when they get back" she explained

"If you don't mind me asking but what made that scar I've seen them somewhere else?" I cautiously asked knowing some people back at camp were shy about their scars

"No worries, I was attacked by a bear in the woods" She answered like it was rehearsed

I knew she was lying I had seen scars like that before at camp and I had them all across my back they were from a Hellhound. But I'm guessing they were from a wolf instead because a mortal wouldn't be attacked by a Hellhound by themselves and my guess is her fiance is a part of Jake's pack.

Almost as soon as she was done wrapping my arm the door opened and Jake came in. He immediately came over to me.

"Rose, are you hurt?" he asked kneeling to my side and looking at my sleeve where the blood-soaked through

"Just a scratch" I replied as I lifted my shirt sleeve to so him the already bandaged claw mark.

"I'm so sorry you must have a million questions I promise I'll answer them" he reassured me looking a little overwhelmed

"It's fine I promise and I will definitely be getting those answers like why no one knows I exist" I give him a look that lets him know I'm mad

"I just didn't get around to telling them yet" he tried to defend his actions

"really so you just never mention me to anyone" I pointed out that hiding a sister is a hard thing to do seeing as I almost never mentioned another brother for six years

"I'm sorry for not telling them but in my defense, this is everyone you were supposed to meet today just under better circumstances"

"Really I was even supposed to meet Bella," I asked

"Ok so you weren't supposed to meet her but other than that everyone" he mended knowing he said that I wouldn't be able to meet Bella

"Well you can explain where I was to them while I'm in the bathroom," I said walking off to find Emily

"Excuse me Emily where is the bathroom?" I asked her

"down the hall to the left" she responded

(Bella's Pov)

I felt bad for Jake's sister Aurora being thrown into this world of myths and legends was difficult. I watched as Emily bandaged her scratch and as she and Jacob talked. When she walked off, he came over to the living room where everyone was.

"Where are Paul and Sam?" Embry asked

"there coming Paul is getting talked to" Jake replied

"Why did you hide your sister from us?" Quil asked

"I don't remember her either" I added

"She mostly spent time with our mom and when she died Rose left for a boarding school in New York" he explained "she only came back a few days ago and I was going to give her a few days to adjust before she meets everyone"

"How did she know about us being wolves?" Jared asked

"That I would like to know too" Sam boomed coming into the house with Paul coming in behind him with a bleeding shoulder but heading to the kitchen first.

"She knows," Jacob asked confused

"That's what she said in the car" I clarified

"I didn't tell her I wanted to keep her away from all of this" Jacob said in his defense

"You could just ask me you know?" Aurora said walking out of the bathroom and into the conversation about her

"Rosie, how did you know about us being wolves?" Jacob asked turning to his sister

"Rosie?" Embry asked

"Not important right now" Quil nudged him

" I know because one of my teachers told me to make sure I know what I was getting into before I left and was making sure I would be safe. I also know about the Vry-- Vampires I know about the vampires." she explained "and he calls me Rosie because Aurora was another name for Briar Rose from 'The Sleeping Beauty and I loved the movie when I was little"

"How would your teacher know about us and the Cullens," Sam asked looking like he was making sure she wasn't a threat.

She didn't look like that dangerous she was tall and a little muscular with her long black hair pulled up but Sam looked like he could easily subdue her. Still, there was something about her movements and how she leaned against the wall like she was prepared for something and not entirely relaxed because she was expecting an attack. Her eyes were the big thing they tracked every movement everyone made and she kept looking at the doors and windows like she was planning an escape route if she needed one. Sam must have noticed too because he standing between her and the door so she had to pass him if she ran.

"He is very smart and has many friends who know everything" She replied not at all intimidated by Sam.

(Aurora's Pov)

As I finished explaining how I knew about them making sure not to tell them too much at first the guy who turned into the first wolf walked out of the kitchen with his head down.

"Paul who won?" Embry asked which cause Jared to hit him on the arm.

"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to phase Bella," he said walking up to her first, looking at her to apologize

Sam cleared his throat which was clearly intentional to get Paul's attention

"I am also ver---" he started but as soon as he actually looked at me he stopped and just stared at me.

Jacob started growling and took a step in front of me while all of the boys were laughing.

Then the ground started shaking.

~(Jacob's Pov)~

I watched as Paul walked up to Bella and apologized then started to apologize to Rosie. Then stopped in the middle of his sentence

'IMPRINTED, HE IMPRINTED ON MY LITTLE SISTER' I mentally screamed while letting a growl out and stepping between the two of them. I could hear the others in the pack laughing at it all and Bella sitting there not knowing what was going on. Before I could say anything the ground started shaking and Rosie was gone.

(Aurora's Pov)

As soon as the ground started shaking I knew something was wrong with dad to do I ran out the door and to the beach as fast as I could. I didn't want to vapor travel because I was afraid of exhausting myself.

When I made it to the beach I jumped into the water swimming far out before I tried to reach Dad.

' Dad, Dad what's wrong?' I asked

'I'm going to kill him' was all I got in return

' KIll who?' I asked wondering what could have made dad so mad

'That boy' he answered

'Which one I was just in a house full of them?'

'Paul Lahote' he spat

'Why if it's because he hurt me it's fine I'll heal' I tried to change his mind

'He imprinted on you' he explained

'What exactly does that mean?' I asked

'It means you are his soulmate' He said 'and you're only SIXTEEN YEARS OLD'

'first off how old were Percy and Annebeth when they first meet, like twelve right. and you are going to try to protect me by killing the person that's meant to make me happy'

He paused for a moment considering what I had just said.

'Fine, I won't kill him but if he hurts you I swear on the River Styx' He started

'I know, I know I stopped him before he could actually swear

'I promise I won't kill him right now but you are the one who has to tell Percy and I can't promise anything for him and your other brother didn't look too happy about it either.'

He appeared in front of me and gave me a quick hug.

"I will always be here for you but you should probably get back they have been looking for you for a while now," he said

"But It's only been a few minutes," I told him

He just smiled before he disappeared again and I started swimming back to shore.

~(Bella's Pov)~

After everyone realized that Aurora was missing they all left to look for her and I was here helping Emily with dinner for when they would get back. I had already called Charlie that I was going to have dinner with Jake and Billy so he wouldn't worry.

We heard the door open from the other room and I went to go see who it was.

"Any luck?" I ask as Quil, Embry, and Jared sit down

"Nothing," Embry said

"Sam, Paul, and Jake are still looking though" Jared added

"We were able to track her to the beach but then it's gone and if she is in the ocean she would have been back by now" Quil continued

~Time Skip (a few hours later)~

Everyone was sitting down at the table to eat dinner because Jake, Sam, and Paul had just gotten back a few minutes earlier. Jared had also explained what imprinting was to me because he wanted to be the one to explain how funny the situation was but I didn't get it. I just felt bad for them. Just as everyone had got the food on their plates there was a knock at the door.

Sam got up to get it and then Aurora walked into the dining room.

As soon as Jake saw her he dropped his food and went over to hug Paul standing behind him.

"Where the hell have you been?" Jake asked still hugging her.

"Well first I went swimming then I went for a walk and almost as soon as I came back I had to go to the ER because my brother broke one of my bones from hugging me too hard" she stated

Jacob let her go then but still stayed close to her telling her not to run off again and making sure that Paul was at no point close to her for the rest of the night.

After dinner, I gave everyone a ride home if they needed it then drove home myself.

(Aurora's Pov)

I was in the kitchen making lunch for dad and Jake. Jacob had already told him what happened with Paul and the imprinting which he wasn't too happy about either. I was just finishing up the food it was only grilled cheese because I couldn't cook. I started putting the food down when there was a knock at the door and Jake got up to get it.

When he opened I heard muffled arguing. I looked back to make sure that dad was focused on the football game playing before I started making my way to the door.

"You're not coming in" I heard Jake whisper forcefully

"But she's my imprint. Jake, please. You don't know what its like" Paul responded in the same tone

" Yes I do"Jake growled

"So why would you stop me from seeing her" Paul urged again

"Because she's my little sister that's why" Jake answered

"Jak--" He started again

"You both know I can make my own decisions right" I cut in interrupting their supposedly discreet argument.

"Rosie you don't know what's happening" Jake objected

"Correct me if I'm wrong but your both shapeshifters and so was every else I meet at Emily's house besides Bella and apparently whenever one of you sees their Imprint that what you called it right" they both nodded. I continued " whenever one of you sees their imprint they instantly know it's the person they're going to spend the rest of their life with right?"

"Ok so you do know what's happening but that doesn't mean I'm letting him in" Jacob stated

"and why do you get to make this decision by yourself its dads' house" I argued

"Fine, DAD DO YOU WANT PAUL AND ROSIE IN THE SAME HOUSE" he shouted in the direction of our dad

"DEFINITELY NOT" he shouted back

"There now will you drop it," Jacob asked

"I think it should be her decision" Paul offered

"I agree with him" I agreed

"Doesn't matter" Jake snapped

"Why not" I snapped back

"Because I said so that's why" He declared

"That's not good enough" I argued

"Well too bad" He growled slamming the door shut behind him

I could still hear Paul angrily muttering behind the door

"It's almost funny how you think that will stop me" I laughed

"PAUL STEP AWAY FROM THE DOOR" I yelled through the door

"Rosie what are you doing" Jacob asked

"Apparently this is what I have to do to meet my soulmate" I grumbled vapor traveling through the door and to the other side.

"HA, it worked" I celebrated till I saw Paul's face seeing his imprint literally pop into existence.

"I'll explain I promise" I quickly reassured him till Jacob threw the door open looking for me.

"ROSIE WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL HAPPENED?" he bellowed

"I told the door wouldn't stop me" I simply said

"You're going to have to explain it to them now," Dad said wheeling his way to the doorway. (just so its not confusing dad= Billy Black and father= Poseidon)

"Fine" I mumbled heading back inside " are you guys coming?"

"so let me get this straight the greek gods are real" Paul clarified

"yes" I answered

"and your the daughter of Poseidon" Jacob continued

"again correct" I replied

"your lying" Jake stated while Paul sat there processing

"I moved through a solid door what more proof do you need" I reminded him

"I don't know do something Poseidoningy" He tried

"fine," I thought for a moment before I stood up and turned on the sink water then having it rise and create a 3D wolf above the dining room table where we were all sitting.

"Ok I believe you" Jacob gave up

"Why would you think I was lying," I asked

"because you just said something for myths was real" he replied

"really" I sarcastically responded " you turn into a wolf"

"fair point"

"About that how do our wolfs and the gods mix?" Paul finally asked saying something since I told them

" Oh, I had Nico look into that" I explained

"whos Nico," Paul asked at the same time as Jake asked " Is he like you"

"Nico is my cousin and yes he's a demigod, his father is Hades which is my dad's brother I have three other cousins" I answered their questions

"Anyway I had Nico look into it while he was home and he said one of his half-sisters Melione had granted us the ability to use her spirit world because one of our ancestors fell into her good favor. Then when the whole imposter chief and all that happened either Zeus or Apollo took pity on us and sent that wolf to help the true chief" I finished explaining.

"Yeah that makes total sense" Paul commented

~Time Skip (two days later)~

Yesterday Bella came over and I explained to her about my heritage and everything she took it surprisingly well. Then she promised to come over today and tell us more about the vampires. I decided to not tell them about the Vrykolakas because technically they weren't vampires.

"the attacks keep happening even though we killed that one Leech" Jacob sneered, "we thought the other one would flee once we killed her mate"

"Laurance wasn't her mate" Bell corrected "he was just a friend. Edward killed her mate that's why she wants revenge"

"do you think she is responsible for all the attacks" Jake inquired

"that's what I think I mean if she wants revenge she will stay close by and she needs to feed" I answered

"how do you know so much about Leeches," Jacob asked

"I have friends that told me about them and please don't call them Leeches from what I've heard not all are bad" I answered

"they drink blood there leeches" he grumbled

"I agree with Aurora" Bella added

"you don't have to call me Aurora," I told her

"oh I hate when people use my full name to what do you want me to call you?" she asked nicely

"I really don't care I have like a thousand nicknames, Jake calls me Rose, my cousins me Rory and Arie," I told her

"what if I call you Rora?" she asked me

"that's perfect" I replied happily

"to get back on topic, who all is in the coven?" Jake asked

"well there's Carlise and Esme his mate, then Edward, Alice, Jasper, Emmet, and Rosalie" she answered

"you're going to have to come up with a different nickname for me if they have a sister whose actual name is Rose" I teased Jacob

"not happening you had the name first and you are keeping it" He replied defiantly

"How old is this Rosalie?" I asked Bella

"108 I think" she replied

" she had it first then," I said trying to win the argument

"still don't care," he said again "but getting back on topic anything else you think we should know?"

"well some of them have abilities like Edward can read minds, Jasper can feel and manipulate emotions, and Alice can see the future," she told us

"I'll need to tell the pack about this" Jake said deep in thought "Rose you good keeping Bella company so I can tell them"

"Sure, we have a lot to talk about," I said smiling like a Stoll brother

"OK," he said not paying attention before running back to the house.

"Anything you want to do?" I asked Bella

"well actually I wanted to try cliff diving and I figured you are the best person to do it with," she asked looking at me

"Oh, it's so fun I will definitely take you but not right now the weathers not right maybe in a few days" I commented "anything else?"

"Nothing I can think of right now you just want to walk on the beach and talk" she volunteered

"sure that sounds perfect I want to know what I've missed while I was gone," I said

"I can't help you there I only moved back here about a year ago" she explained

"see already learning new stuff" I joked

~Time Skip (two days later)~

Me and Bella had spent most of the past days talking and just having fun together in general. I felt bad not being able to spend the whole day with her but I needed to go to town and buy some more food for Stormy and Trident. I went into the store fast and got caught in a conversation with a very talkative goldfish. As I left my room I heard my dad on the phone saying something about Herry Clearwater but I didn't stop to hear what they were saying. I started walking to the beach when I saw from the distance somebody on the top of the cliff looking like they were about to jump. I remembered what I said to Bella about promising to take her cliff diving when I saw Jake and Sam sadly walking toward me.

"BELLA" I screamed as the figure jumped. Sam and Jake immediately looked at me before they saw where I was running to.

Jake and me Jumped in the water and started swimming I willed the currents to help us get there faster. When we got to the spot where she jumped in we both dove but Jake had to come up before he could reach her but I kept going till I was able to grab her. We broke the surface and before Jake could offer to help me I made a wave that brought us to the shore faster than we would have if we sawm.

"Bella come on Bella" Jake kept saying as he started to give her CPR

"Jake wait a second I have a idea," I said

He didn't stop

"Jacob just trust me," I said again more firmly

He stopped and moved away from her as I got closer I had to focus really hard on only getting the water out of her lungs and not hurting her further.

She sat up sputtering the last bit of water out of her lungs before she could take a breath.

"What the Hades Bella I told you to wait for me" I snapped at her when she started looking better

"Sorry" was all she said

(Aurora's Pov)

Bella's whole cliff diving/ drowning was yesterday and I was going to go over to her dad's house today but Jake told me that one of Bella's old friends was back in town and that I should let them catch up.

"Any plans today?" Jake asks me.

"Yeah I got to head into town to get something to wear to the funeral tomorrow" I replied, "how's dad?"

"He's holding up its really taking its toll on him" he answered

"I feel bad for Harry's family" I continued

"So does the whole pack," he said

"You need me to get anything while I'm in town?" I asked heading out the door

"Nothing I can think of"

"Ok be back in an hour"

"Bye Rosie"

~Time Skip (the next day)~

Jake drove dad and me to the funeral because he apparently doesn't think I'm old enough to drive even though I am only a year younger than him.

The funeral was sad the whole pack was there and a lot of people that Harry had helped over the years. The service ended and I looked over at my dad.

"Dad, Do you want me to get you a tissue?" I asked him softly

"Yes please" he sniffles

I get up to go grab him a tissue when I run into Mrs. Clearwater talking to Chief Swan.

"Sorry" I apologize to them both

"Oh, it's ok" Mrs. Clearwater assured

"I know you from somewhere don't I," Chief Swan asked me

"Yes, I'm Billy's daughter" I answered him

"Aurora? Wow you've gotten so big" he exclaimed

"Thanks" I laughed "where's Bella?"

"She wanted to stay home her ex-boyfriend's sister is back in town and they are still very close friends" he grumbled

"I was just wondering Jake and I miss her" I added " I have to get back to my dad"

"Bye" Mrs. Clearwater and Chief Swan both said

I grabbed the tissue and went back towards where dad was.

~Time Skip (15 days)~

Apparently, Bella had to fly to Italy to stop her ex from killing himself because he thought that she was dead and now dad and Jake won't let me visit them.

"I'm bored" I exclaimed to my brother

"What do you want to do?" he asked

"What I really want to do is spar but no one here can fight me" I explained

"Yeah, I don't think I would be much help with that" he agreed

"You know what else I could do" I started

"No" he interrupted

"You didn't even let me finish"

"Fine, finish what you were saying"

"Paul and --"

"No"

"Come on" It had been weeks and Jacob and dad still wouldn't let me see Paul without Jake there and when he was there he always found a way to change the topic or make Paul leave.

There was a knock at the door.

"I'll get it" Jake said trying to get away from our argument

"Hello, is Arie here" I heard a familiar voice ask

"I'm right here" I answered, coming to the door and hugging him.

I can hear Jacob growling so I turn and smack him in the chest.

"Jason, this is Jake my other brother and Jacob this is Jason one of my other cousins" I introduced them

"How many cousins do you have?" Jake exclaimed

"Well Hades had Nico and Bianca but Bianca died and technically Hazel's dad is Pluto than Zeus had Thaila but she is with Artemis and Jason's father is Jupiter" I explained

"Forget I asked" Jake hesitated walking back to the living room

"You can't just say all of that and expect mortals to understand it" Jason reminded me

"He is the one who asked" I defended "How did you get here so fast anyway?"

"Nico shadow traveled me"

"And he didn't stay"

"What you don't want to spend time with your favorite cousin" he joked

"Don't let your sister hear that" I warned "come in and but your bags down"

"Ok then what do you want to do"

"Can we please spar no one here can and I need to train"

"Sounds great"

~Time Skip (one hour later)~

"The famous Jason Grace, roman praetor beaten by a girl" I joked

"Not fair," he said

"why," I asked

"I don't know just not fair"

"Come on I need to get some water," I said leading him to the ocean

"Arie, I need your help," he asked me hesitantly

"With what," I asked curiously

"I kinda need your help to propose to Piper" he mumbled

"YES, FINALLY" I yelled jumping

"Arie stop it your making me feel way to excited right now" he said smiling

"Sorry, the necklace doesn't stop everything" I apologized

"Its fine its just I don't know how to actually propose to her"

"Well when do you want to do it"

"I was thinking when I got back to camp"

"ok , she won't want it big or showy so no where public" I thought outloud

"I was thinking just the two of us" he suggested

"Do you guys still watch the stars at night on the roof of cabin one" I wondered

"Yes we do"

"Ok, so here's what you do. You take her for a walk around camp then when you go up on the roof you propose then" I planned "but you need a ring. Do you have a ring?"

"I already have it I had Hazel and Leo make it" he answered

"Can I see it?" I asked eagerly

"No, I gave it to Annebeth for safekeeping"

"Well at least tell me what it looks like" I complained

"The band is a gold lighting bolt that is curved and the diamond is a slightly pink heat"

"Oh, it's perfect"

~Time Skip (7 days later)~

Jason left and is going to propose to Piper soon. Jake left with a motorcycle today to go see Bella because apparently, he is the only one allowed to.

~Time Skip (3 days later)~

That's it I am sick of everyone treating me like a child. Bella was back in town and I wanted to see my friend.

"Where are you going, Rosie?" Jacob suspiciously asked me as I left

"I have to get more food for my seahorse" I lied

"Why do you even have them they seem like a lot of work"

"Stormy and Trident are very good friends of mine and they don't seem to like you" I defended them

"How do you know that?" he asked confused

"They told," I said

"Well why not" he sighed

I drove to Bella's house only to see a shiny Volvo parked in front of the house. I park the car behind it and get out. I knock on the door and Chief Swan answers it , he looks happier when he realizes that it is me.

"Aurora, we weren't expecting you," he says happily letting me into the house

"I know, Sorry to come by like this but I need a girl friend to talk to and I missed Bella" I explained

"Oh, no problem Bellas in the living room with her boyfriend," Chief Swan said

"Bella, guess who finally got away from their annoying brother," I said walking into the living room.

"Rora, I'm so happy your here" she smiles giving me a hug

"Since someone else is here I am going to head to the station to finish some reports. Aurora you are in charge while I am gone. Feel free to kick anyone out of the house" Chief Swan says entirely seriously as he heads out the door to his cruiser.

"He really doesn't like you does he," I notice turning to Bella's boyfriend

"Not very much no," he says

"Hi, I'm Aurora Black," I said sticking out my hand to him.

"I am Edward Cullen" he introduces himself not taking my hand

"It's ok to shake my hand I know you are a vr-- vampire," I say in all honesty

"I'm guessing your brother told you," He said grimly

"No actually"

He turns his head to Bella who just slightly shakes her head.

"Bella didn't tell me either" I clarify

"Then who then" he inquired

"One of my teachers" I half answer

"Weird" he barely whispers

"You shouldn't be able to read my mind either to find the answer" I again clarify

"That I did tell her about" Bella confesses

"You and Bella aren't related how come I cannot read your mind," he asks while trying to find more information

"I have relatives who like to keep their secrets a secret" I vaguely say

"Mmph," he thinks

"Well Bella I have to go but next time you have some free time call the house. I'll find a way to answer before anyone else" I say "also Edward do you fight?"

"Yes, why are you asking"

"Because I need somebody to train with and no one in my brother's pack will fight me because there scared of Jacob and Paul"

"Paul imprinted on her" Bella quickly explained to Edward

"My relationship with Jacob is already on shaky ground I don't want to endanger it further by hurting his little sister" he added

"Who says I'll be the hurt one" I responded in the same tone

"I'll think about it" he answers

"Florida" I whisper shout

"I know Rora but I'll be back in no time" Bella tries to assure me over the phone

"You better I need female interaction" I complain

"As soon as I get back" She response

"Who are you talking to?" Jake asked coming into the room

"Somebody from camp" I lie

"Really who?" He says suspiciously

"Frank, he's the son of Mars so technically he's Roman but I don't care about that" I kinda lie

"Yeah ok, Hurry up though another person is at the door," he tells me

"Ok, bye Frank," I say into the phone hanging it up.

I walk over to the door and open it.

"Hazel," I say excitedly hugging her.

"Arie so good to see you," she says back.

"How's New Rome," I ask moving her bags to my room.

"Good, me and Frank are still looking for houses" she replies

" that must be fun"

" It really is"

" Which cousin is it this time?" Jacob yells from his room

" Hazel this is Jacob brother, and Jake this is Hazel daughter of Pluto" I introduce them

"Hi," Jake says offering his hand

"Hello," Hazel says taking it

" did I hear you're getting a house," he asks

" yes me and my boyfriend are" she answers

" wait so, that Jason guy is getting engaged and your other cousin is getting a house," he asks confused

" I don't see the problem" I add

"you're all so young" he exclaims

"Demigods die young so we have to live while we still can" I clarify for him

" still seems a little much" he continues

" yes, and how many of your pack have already found the person they're going to spend the rest of their life with" I sarcastically say

He doesn't say anything he just walks back into his room.

" what was his problem," Hazel asks me

" he's just tired from patrol" I explain

"Vrykolaks" she wonders

I nod my head

"So what do you do around here for fun," she asks quietly because we could all hear Jake snoring

"It's a sunny day do you want to go swimming"

" yes, but.. um.. do you think you might be able to teach me how to... swim" she mumbles

" oh, of course. Come on let's get changed"

" would you mind if I invite some of Jake's pack with us," I ask Hazel as we start walking to the beach

" no problem at all I would like to meet them" she answers happily

Got to the beach to find Paul, Seth, Leah, Embry, and Quil already there. Sam was on patrol and Jared was on patrol last night.

"Aurora, who is this?" Seth asks me

" This is my cousin Hazel, Hazel this is Seth, Embry, Leah, Paul, and Quil," I say pointing to each of them in turn

" Nice to meet you all"

There is a chorus of hellos before Hazel laughs

" what's so funny," I ask her

" I just realized they are like the only ones who call you by your name everyone calls you something else" she laughs

I think about it for a moment. Jake calls me rose or Rosie. Bella calls me Rora. Everyone at camp calls me Arie. Nico calls me Rory. And even everyone at camp Jupiter calls me dawn. ( Aurora is the name of the Roman goddess of the dawn)

" I guess that's true" I laugh with her

" well I'm ready for my lessons when you are" she reminds me

" let's go then," I say getting up and taking the swimsuit cover I'm wearing off.

We walk to the water and get in and I make the currents gentler for Hazel. After a while when I finish teaching her a few strokes I realize how quiets it's gotten onshore.

" oh no" I sigh realizing my mistake

" what's wrong," Hazel asks me worriedly

" they haven't seen me in a swimsuit before," I tell her

" you should probably go explain to them then" she advises knowing what my mistake was.

~(Paul's Pov)~

Aurora was laughing with her friend when they stood up to go in the water.

All across her back, her legs, and her neck, there were scars. Some barely visible and others you could tell would never fade with time.

The rest of the pack noticed a few seconds after me. No one said anything as Aurora taught her friend how to swim till she noticed how quiet it was.

She said something to her friend before making a pathway in the water to us.

" so, who's going to go first?" She asks as soon as she got to us

" what," we all said confused

" you saw my scars and as polite as all of you are trying to be I know you want to know what happened so ask," she says very straightforward

" Why do you have so many," Leah asks bluntly and I growl at her till Aurora smacks my arm

" I told them to ask don't get mad" she scolded sitting next to me

I can't be mad with her actually able to be talk and be close to me with Jacob asleep.

"Fine" I huff

" I have so many because I get distracted easily" Aurora answers

" what are they from," Quill asks next

" that's complicated I got them from many different monsters except that one," she says pointing to a faint line on her ribs " I was sparring with my friend, they clearly won that match" she laughs

" How can you laugh at that" I question her gruffly

" because Sophie didn't mean to do it and we were practicing if she didn't show me where I was failing some monster would have killed me because of it" she states defending this Sophie.

Autos explain a few more of her scars till they run out of questions. We eat s'mores and hot dogs when the sun starts going down. She spends most of the night sitting next to me leaning her head on my shoulder.

" We should start heading back," she says to her friend Hazel

" Yeah, I'm getting tired" Hazel yawns

Then Aurora goes something I wasn't expecting. She leans down and kisses my cheek.

" If any of you tell my brother I will make you pay" she threatens the rest of the pack

They just laugh it off as she starts walking away but her friend stays till she's out of earshot.

" you shouldn't mess with her when she says that" she warns the group " I've seen her in a real fight and she is not something to mess around with. And don't bring up Sophie it's a sensitive subject" she directs the last part at me.

" why?" I ask suddenly confused

" she got killed in the war" she answers

" what war," Seth asks

" I don't have time to explain but I leave in two days and then our friend Annebeth is coming to ask her she can explain it" she explains fast

" HAZEL, YOU COMING" Aurora yells to Hazel

Then the girl starts running to Aurora.

" I want to meet this Annabeth now," Embry says for all of us.

When this Annabeth person comes she is going to have a lot of explaining to do about my imprint.

" What are you guys talking about" I say as me and Hazel walk into Emily's house.

"Nothing" they all say in unison

" I think they are lying to you" Hazel whisper to me so everyone can hear

" it's nothing you need to worry about" Jacob clarifies

" I'll just asked Emily" I say turning to her

" they are discussing the rogue vampire" she answered without looking up from her cooking

"Traitor" I hear Sam joke at his fiance

" it really is nothing you two need to worry about" Paul continues

" but I want to help, its honestly getting a little boring with nothing to do here" I complain

" my little sister is not going to be fight ing those leeches. Ok?" Jacob states trying to end the conversation

" not ok, in want to help" I argue

" no one wants you getting hurt though" Quil adds

" so none of you want me fighting?" I ask them all

They all nod there heads yes

" that's unfair, it should be my choice what do you think Sam?" I say asking him

" I'm ok either way discuss it with your brother" he says not wanting to get involved with the conversation

"Ok, before this escalates I have an idea" Hazel chimes in

" well, what is it?" Embry asks impatiently

"Let her prove to you she can fight" Hazel explains

" that's works who will fight me?" I ask the pack

Nobody says anything

"Somebody fight or I will go ask the Cullens for a sparing partner" I proclaim

"NO" They all seemed to shout at the same time

" then some wolf in this room better fight me" I challenge them

Everyone but Sam seems to look at my brother and Paul for permission

" fine no one then, Sam you want to spar?" I ask the Alpha

" Rosie, think about this for a second, he is the alpha which means he is the strongest" Jake trys to reason with me

" unless I fight somebody how am i going to prove myself" I state " Sam will you fight me?"

" I will but I will not hurt you" he agrees

" that wont work it has to be a fair fight" I say

" ok, then" he agrees

" Sam" Paul and Jake yell at the same time

" ENOUGH" he booms in his alpha voice

" you have an alpha voice right?" I ask him

" yes, I do" he answers

" tell my brother and Paul not to interfere with the fight in that voice" I suggest

He looks over at them " No one is allowed to interfere with the fight until one of us concedes" he addresses the whole pack instead

" what about her?" He asks nodding to Hazel

"Hazel swear you wont mess the fight up" I tell her

" I swear on the river Styx I won't interfere with the fight until one of you concedes" she swears

" what good is that, cant she just break it" Seth asks

" If a demigod swears on the river styx and they break it bad things happen to them" I explain to him

" shall we?" Sam asks me walking towards the door

" Dawn, fix the rain if it's going to be a fair fight" Hazel tells me noticing the weather

" right" I understand what she means

" What are you guys talking about?" Jared asks

" If Dawn's in the rain she is more powerful and if the fight is fair that means she shouldnt be in the water" Hazel explains for me while I make a bubble of no rain

"Rosie be careful" Jake shouts

"You ready" Sam asks me

I nod

While Sam is kicking off his shoes to shift, I rubbed me thumb over my charm bracelet for tsunami to come.

When Sam shift is done I'm speechless of what I'm looking at. When Leah shouts go it takes me a second to respond beacuse the friend that used to be there was replaced by a hellhound.

I can hear Hazel worrying about what I'm going to do.

I try to focus my thoughts. It not a hellhound. It's not a hellhound. Its Sam. Sam. Your friend. I keep repeating to myself.

Sam rushes forward at me with his mouth open. I sidestep the last minute making a long, shallow cut on his shoulder. While he starts turning I jump on his back and make another small, shallow cut on his ear making sure that he can still heal. He bucks and throws me off him and I land on my back getting the wind knocked out of me. It takes me a second till I can get a breathe in and he comes running up to me. I quickly roll to the side and stand up running behind him to make another small cut on his tail. It's fun to have a different sparring partner but I want the fight to end so I can help with the rogue vampire so I decide to end it. As he whips around at me again I take notice to not run but to slide under him and hold Tsunami to his throat.

He makes a barking sound that I assume is him surrendering.

I get up from the ground and walk over to my brother who is just staring.

" I won" I celebrate snapping him out of his state of confusion

" when did you get a sword" he questions look at Tsunami

" it was a gift from Percy" I tell him

" but where did it come from" he asks again

" my bracelet" I answer rubbing my thumb across the blade turning it into a bracket again and collapsing the rain bubble.

Out of the corner of my eye I see Jared hand Embry five dollars.

" you bet on me?" I accuse them

" against you actually" I hear Hazel answer as Embry hands her the five dollar bill and another one.

" your suppose to be the nice one Hazel" I remind her

" I am the nice one that why I'm giving you half" she defends handing me a five

" I'll allow it" i say turning back to Embry and Jared " but you two bet against me"

"To be fair we thought we had good odds" Jared trys before Embry elbows him

"What he means to say is that we just that that the Alpha would win the fight" Embry says apologetically

" well I didn't" Sam says coming around from the back of the house

" Sam are you ok?" I ask going up to him

" I'm fine but I didnt think I would get so many cuts" he laughs rubbing some blood of his ear " your a good fighter you can patrol if you want to"

" No" Jake trys again " we are fast she cant keep up with us"

" yeah she'll just get left behind" Paul adds

"Fair point" Sam considers

" I'll race whoever's you want me too" I challenge

" Leah, will you race her" sam asks

" fine" she caves and goes back around the house to shift and comes back as a beautiful gray wolf.

" your beatiful" I complimented her

She makes a bobbing motion with her head.

" race to the water and back" sam instructs us " ready and go"

We both take off. She starts pulling ahead so I use the extra energy form the rain to help me. I reach the beach at the same time but she hits the water first. I get there two seconds after her but as soon as I reach the ocean I turn and sprint to catch up. I pull ahead of her at the last second and reach sam first

" Anything else you would like me to prove" I ask me brother

" yes... you... are not... you can't..." he stumbles trying to find another excuse

" Jake can't think if anything else so can I please help now" I beg

" what if you lose your sword" Paul unexpectedly adds

" what" I say turning to him

" you can fight with your sword but what if you lose it you cant stop a fight to find a sword during a fight" he continues

" fine" I angrily say " Hazel catch" I add tossing my bracelet to her

" now I dont have a weapon who will fight me now" I declare shocking Paul " Jake your fightning me"

" no I'm not" he declines

(Paul's Pov)

" yes you are" Aurora shouts at her brother

Why does she want to get herself in so much danger?

She walks up to Jacob and whispers something in his ear.

"Fine but I'm not shifting" he states sounding defeated

" JACOB" I yell at him

" are you sure Jacob" Sam asks him

" if I beat her now then she cant get killed be a leech later so I'll fight her" he says

" ok then, no biting and first one to surrender loses" sam says the rules " go"

It was so nerve wrecking to see my imprint go up against Jake. I knew he was her brother and would never hurt her but it didnt help me.

When Sam said go Aurora was the first one to go she quickly punched him in the ribs before he could swing. Jake went to swing when she ducked out of the way. He turned to swing again but Aurora had already grabbed ahold of one of his arms and forced on the ground. She kept pushing it till he finally tapped out.

" there everyone happy now. Can I start helping with patrols" she asked the group

" I cant think of anything else" Jake confessed

" neither can i" I admitted

" finally" Aurora celebrated " when do you need me to patrol?" She asked sam

" just go out with your brother" he said

She turned back to her friend Hazel, to grab her bracelet.

" what no more bets" she asked staring accusingly at Jared and Embry

They both quickly turned back to the house after watching her beat our strongest fighters

" I think they learned there lesson" Hazel joked

" guess so, come on we still got the whole rest of the day till me and Jake have patrol" Aurora says to Hazel as they both walk away laughing

I turn back to Jacob who was talking to Sam.

" you had to surrender" I yell before walking back into Emily's for a muffin

"So, what do you wanna do for the rest of the day?" I ask Hazel

"Don't act like I didn't see what you did" Hazel says pointedly

"What?" I ask innocently

"you vapor traveled" she accuses me

"did not"

"did too"

"yes you did"

"prove it"

"you still cheated"

"again what do you wanna do for the rest of the day," I ask again

"movies?" she suggests

"star wars" I try

"what's that?" she questions

"uh, now we defiantly have to watch it," I say in utter disbelief that she doesn't know what Star Wars is

"but all the little younglings" Hazel sobbed "why would he do it to the younglings"

"I gotta pee real fast" I sat standing up and pausing the TV

When I get back from the bathroom Hazel is still crying

"Be quiet for a second Hazel" I tell her listening closely

"What is that" she wonders hearing the same thing as me

I get Tsumani out and quietly walk to the front door as I open it I am expecting a monster but instead, there is a little drenched brown kitten.

"oh my gods" Hazel whispers standing behind me

"We need to get it to Emily's," I say quickly picking the kitten up and getting the water off it.

We both rush to Emily's not bothering to slow done for the mortals

"Emily we need some help," Hazel says rushing up to Emily causing the rest f the pack to look around at us worriedly

"what's the problem" Emily ask calmly

I move my arms so she can see the little kitten shivering against me

"oh dear I'll get her some milk you get her warm" Emily instructs me

I walk over to Jake and Paul who were sitting on the couch. I sat down next to Jake not wanting to start a fight.

*achoo* Jacob sneezes

"Bless you," I say

*achoo*achoo*achoo* he sneezed standing up

"I think I'm allergic to that cat," he said between sneezes

"Really," I say smirking

"Dawn" Hazel warned but it was too late

~(Paul's Pov)~

As soon as Hazel said her name Aurora was sitting right next to me leaning into my chest.

Jacob tried to growl but ended up sneezing more

"*achoo* Getaway *achoo* from him *achoo* Rosie" Jake tried threatening

"I don't think I will I have to keep the kitten warm and it's comfortable here" she argued

"*achoo* Paul *achoo* achoo*" Jake growled

"I perfectly fine" I admitted

He took a step closer but Aurora was prepared. She held out the kitten between us and Jacob.

"Death Kitty" she proclaimed

Jake nearly fell to his knees sneezing.

"Heres the milk," Emily said walking in from the Kitchen before seeing Jacob " I guess you aren't going to be able to keep the kitten then," she said indicating Jake

"Dang it I didn't think about that" she exclaimed "I got to go make a call," she said before standing up and placing the kitten in my arms.

~(Aurora's Pov)~

I stood up and went to the Bathroom to make an Iris Message. "O Iris, Goddess of Rainbows, please show me, Nico Di Angelo," I said tossing a Drachma in

"NICO" I screamed after seeing him making out rather passionately with a certain son of Apollo.

"ME CHE CAZZO, RORY" he shouted back after jumping apart from Will

" ME I WASNT THE ONE FRENCHING THE DOCTOR" I burst out

"I don't think we have properly met I am Will Solace" Will introduced himself

"Aurora Black nice to meet you," I said politely "now Nico get over here or I'll Piper where you are" I threatened, ending the call

I could hear shouts and several curses coming from the main room so I guess Nico was there.

"Where did you come from" Embry shouted at Nico as I walked in

"Well, I was having a perfectly wonderful time before Rory interrupted it" he spat back

"It was for a good reason I promise" I promised, getting the kitten from Paul

"I need you to take this to Piper because apparently Jakes allergic so we can't keep" I explained

Jacob and Paul were already agreeing again over what happened.

"For the love of Hades will you to shut up" I snapped at them causing both of them to go quiet

"What did you do?" Nico questioned me

"Nothing," I said

"She beat Sam in a fight with a sword, then beat Jacob in hand-to-hand, and beath Leah in a race" Hazle quickly snitched before going back to her discussion with Seth about Star Wars.

"Already beating up the boys, Chron would be so disappointed" Nico Joked

"no he'd be proud" I clarified

"Maybe"

"Will you take the Kitten?" I asked again

"Sure but I might keep her she's cute," he said taking the kitten and scratching her back

"Just make sure she is safe" I reminded him

" I will"

"Bye" Hazel and I said at the same time

"Bye, and Rory don't hurt anyone"

"no promises" I called back before he dissolved into the shadows again

"Now where'd he go," Jared asked sitting next to Embry

"he shadow traveled" I explained " since he is a son of Haded he can move through shadows and summon spirits and skeletons and all that"

"your lying" Embry scoffed

"shes not lying" Hazel defended me " I control Jewels and metals in the earth"

"makes total sense," Jared said rolling his eyes

I smiled before vapor traveling behind them both shouting "BOO" then vapor traveling back

They both screamed jumping up while the rest of us laughed at them

"We believe you," they said in unison

"thought so" I replied before sitting down between Jake and Paul daring either of them to say anything.

"Can we go finish the movies before I have to pack for tomorrow?" Hazel asked me

"Sure let's go," I said grabbing her hand and vapor traveling us out of the house only to land outside.

"I'm still practicing" I revealed to her but she was too busy laughing and walking to the house.

"Hazel said Annabeth's coming tomorrow," Seth said to the whole group

'Finally, I thought to myself some answers'

We were finally close to the red-haired vampire almost catching up to her next to a creek. Everyone from the pack and the Cullens coven was chasing her. I was running between Jake and Paul because they both refused to leave me unguarded. Suddenly I saw Paul disappear from my peripheral vision as soon as it happened I stopped running to make sure he was ok.

He was snapping at the largest Vrykolaka from the coven. Some of the others had stopped the pursuit when they heard the growling.

I immediately ran over to him and stood between him and the vrykolakas facing both of them.

"What happened," I asked anyone who knew the answer

Jacob came over to me and started pushing me back from the vrykolakas before I stepped around him.

"what happened," I asked again

"Emmet passed the treaty line" the leader of the coven Carlise I think answered stepping behind Emmet and putting a hand on his shoulder

Paul bobbed his head in a 'yes' as Jacob kept trying to push me back.

I put a hand on Paul's back which caused him to relax a little bit but he was still growling.

"I'm sure he was only trying to get the bad vampire" I explained to him softly

"It was an accident we're sorry" Another vrykolakas apologized Esme I assumed stepping up next to the other two but apparently that was too close for Jake and Paul's comfort because they both jumped in front of me growling even more. Which caused Emmet and a fourth blond vrykolakas to start hissing and showing their fangs.

I had enough at this point not wanting a fight to break out today of all days. I quickly willed the water from the creek to rise and push Jake and Paul to one side and the hissing vrykolakas to the other. That left me, Carlise, and Esme standing in front of each other between the water walls.

Emmet and the blonde stopped hissing and just stood there with a confused look on their faces. Paul and Jacob on the other hand were mad I had kept them from protecting me. I was definitely going to get yelled at when we get home for this.

Sam appeared from the way everyone was originally chasing the redhead and I lowered the water walls. I wasn't a wolf but if I didn't respect him as my alpha then I won't be able to patrol anymore. As soon as the walls were down Jacob and Paul ran up to me with Paul pushing me back and Jake growling at the vrykolakas.

"I apologize for the misunderstanding" Carlise apologized to Sam

Sam nodded his head in understanding before heading back into the woods towards LaPush.

I turned at started running with them wanting to go already.

I was waiting in front of Emily's house waiting for the pack to shift and put clothes on.

"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING, ROSE!!" Jacob shouted at me

"YOU COULD HAVE BEEN HURT," Paul said slightly quieter but mad all the same

"I was thinking I didn't want either of you idiots hurt!" I yelled equally mad at the both of them for overreacting

"WE CAN HANDLE OURSELVES YOU CAN'T" Jacob angrily countered

"YES I CAN!" I snapped at him

"IT"S OUR JOB TO PROTECT YOU" Paul continued

"NO, IT'S NOT I AM PERFECTLY FINE PROTECTING MYSELF I'VE DONE IT FOR YEARS AGAINST WORSE THINGS THEN A STUPID VRYKOLAKA" I went on before realizing my mistake

"Vrykolaka?" Paul and Jake asked at the same time

I cursed in greek before shouting "I'm GOING TO BED" and vapor traveling away from them then running the rest of the way home.

I walked into my room and laid on my bed knowing I wouldn't be able to sleep. I quickly went to the bathroom and splashed water on my face waking me up and filling up a water bottle.

I went back to my room and vapor traveled through the wall leading to the forest. I kept running at vapor traveling make sure the pack couldn't track me and spilling water on myself whenever I got too tired.

~(Jacob's Pov)~

Rosie went back to the house about ten minutes ago before there was a knock on the door.

Paul got to the door before me opening it.

A tall blonde girl with grey eyes walked in.

"I'm Annabeth, Hazel told me I was supposed to explain Arie's past to you" she introduced herself.

Almost instantly everyone was in the living room wanting to know more about Rose.

"What do you know about my sister? I asked her threateningly

"About everything since she came to camp," Annabeth said smiling and sitting down "what did she tell you so far?"

"We know about the whole Demigod thing and Camp Half-Blood that's it" Leah answered for all of us

"That saves me some trouble at least. Arie might actually kill me if she knew I was about to tell you all this" Annabeth said before continuing " So every half-blood has an aura that monsters can sense and that's how they track us and kill us. But Arie's is higher than most being a child of the Big Three monsters were already chasing her but because more monsters could sense her more attacked her. She ran away from home seven years ago but it took her a year till she was able to make it to camp. She never talks about all that happened to her during that year but we know she was strong to survive all that time. She made it to camp and she was on the edge of death with more monsters than you can imagine chasing her. She made it still and we healed her with Ambrosia and Nectar. She was placed in the Hermes camp when she was healed because that's where all the unclaimed half-bloods go. She made friends with Natalie Bates a daughter of Hermes.

~(Aurora's Pov)~

I made it to a small clearing and sunk to my knees taking my bracelet off daring any monster to attack me.

I cried remembering everything

~(Aurora's Flashback)~

Natalie and I were canoeing together in the lake when she decided to splash me with her oar. So we started messing around and playing till I stuck my oar under her canoe and tipped it.

"Aurora" she yelled at me from the water

"yes?" I asked innocently

Then she flipped my canoe over too.

"Hey" I yelled at her

"Now you know how it feels" she stated smiling

"Race you" I shouted before taking of swimming

We both raced to the water where I won.

"Victory" I shouted happily as Natalie got out of the water

She smiled wringing out her brown hair then she noticed something above my head and her blue eyes widened in shock.

I looked up and there was a glowing trident above my head claiming me as a daughter of Poseidon.

She smiled bigger than I thought possible and tackled me in a hug.

~(Annabeth's Pov)~

"When Arie got claimed she moved into the Posidon cabin" Annabeth continued " but she and Natalie were still like sisters. A few months after that she meets Sophie Hill daughter of Athena and one of my half-sisters.

~(Aurora's Flashback)~

I was bored because Natalie was in a pegasus riding class so I decided to go to the strawberry fields. When I got there I saw a girl who I didn't recognize laying in the field with her red hair sprawled out around her and her eyes closed.

"Hello," I said as I got closer

"Hi," she said sitting up opening her gray eyes which marked her as a child of Athena.

"I'm-" I started before she interrupted me

"Your Aurora Black, daughter of Poseidon," she said for me

"yes I am"

"Sorry, I'm Sophie Hill d--"

"Daughter of Athena," I said it being my time to interrupt her

"People always guess" She huffed laying back down

"it's because you and all your siblings have the same eyes" I explained

"I know but its no fun having everyone know right away" Sophie complained

"how do you think I feel everyone in camp knows my name" I sighed laying down next to her

"that's because you're the daughter of one of the big three"

"Yeah, I hope I live to reach 16"

"So do I you seem fun"

"I'll take that as a compliment"

"It was meant as one"

"Why are you laying in the strawberry fields," I asked her

"I'm thinking"

"about?"

"life"

"that's a broad subject"

"that's what makes it fun"

We both laughed

"AURORA" Natalie shouted causing me and Sophie to look up a second before Natalie jumped on me. Which caused the three of us to laugh more.

~(Annabeth's Pov)~

"The three of them were close friends two years then one day they meet Oliver Anderson a son of Ares."

~(Aurora's Pov)~

Sophie, Natalie, and I were sitting watching the instructor and joking about Natalie's new crush a son of Apollo, named Flynn.

"All right let's have a demonstration form Aurora and Sophie" The instructor announced

We both stood up and grabbed a sword preparing to fight. We were both fighting as well as we could but we had trained together for so long we knew everything about the other's technique. Natalie decided to add to the fight and shouted at us but only I looked.

Sophie pointed her sword at my ribs not hitting me till I turned and cut myself.

"Aurora what were you thinking" she exclaimed dropping her sword and rushing to me worriedly.

"I'm fine" I lied grabbing a cup of water and splashing it on my cut "See all better now"

"Theres going to be a scar though" Natalie complained

"I'm a half-blood it's ok for me to have some scars"

"I'm sorry" Sophie apologized

"You shouldn't be," I said holding my sword to her stomach " I won"

"And I thought we were friends" She joked siting back down next to Natalie

"Good distraction tactic Aurora" The Instructor compliment me "Who wants to face her next"

"I will" a blonde boy with brown eyes answered

"I'm Aurora Black" I introduced myself

"Oliver Anderson," he said picking up a sword

Again we fought but he was slowly losing because he didn't know how I fought. I was just about to disarm him when he winked at me. I hesitated for a second which gave him enough time to disarm me instead and hold his sword to my throat.

"Looks like I just beat the Daughter of Posideon" He gloated before I saw it

He had a glowing symbol of Ares above his head.

"And you were claimed all in the same day" I pointed out to him

"makes sense how else was I suppose to beath the prophecy half-blood"

~(Annabeth's Pov)~

"Arie and Oliver dated for a little bit but eventually broke up but stayed friends"

~(Aurora's Flashback)~

"Aurora where are you going," Oliver asked me

"We going to go get ready for capture the flag" Natalie answered for us both

"I have a question," Oliver said

"Well what is it," I asked him impatiently

"Would you be ok if I asked Sophie on a date?" He asked

"Of course I'm fine with you two are some of my best friends and we broke up a while ago" I replied

"Aurora" Sophie called to me

"What," I asked turning around

"you names to long" she stated

"what?" I asked again

"I agree with Sophie" Natalie chimed in

"Me too" Oliver added

"What would you like my names to be?" I asked the three of them

"what about Aurora Borrlis" Sophie offered

"What's that?" Natalie asked

"that's longer than her real name" Oliver reminded everyone

"you know Aurora Borealis, the northern lights" Sophie explained

"my nickname could be North" I offered

"North," they all said thinking it over.

"I like it" Natalie cheered

"but only we can call you that," Oliver said being protective

"Agreed it's our special name for you" Sophie confirmed

~(Annabeth's Pov)~

"Every time anyone new came to camp Natalie, Oliver and Sophie would introduce her as something else. Eventually, even the original campers started calling her new different nicknames but never North. Natalie soon got a Quest from her father Hermes.

~(Aurora's Flashback)~

"You got a quest I am so happy for you," I said happily to Natalie

"Who are you going to take?" Oliver asked

"Not either of you two," Natalie said simply

"why not" Sophie complained

"Because I only have room for one more and if I choose either one of you I'll have to hear you complain about not being with the other one and I am not doing that to me and North" she explained

"Me?" I exclaimed

"Of course you" Natalie smiled

"Thank you, thank you so much," I said hugging her and sticking my tongue out at Oliver and Sophie who laughed.

~(Annabeth's Pov)~

"Natalie had chosen Flynn some boy she was seeing to be the third in the quest. But like I said earlier Arie has a strong Aura and monsters chased then all the way to Tennessee and Natalie and Arie got separated from Flynn who made it back to camp. The quest was that Natalie had to go save one of her half-sisters. The person's mother had just died of cancer and their aunt was their guardian but was a drug addict who was planning on killing the child because it cost too much to feed and stuff. And the gods aren't always the best parents but they hate to see their children get killed. So that was their quest was to go save the child and bring them back to Camp, they had prepared and packed extra clothes and everything from them. But when they got there the half-blood was only three years old. They weren't prepared to take care of a three-year-old so they waited outside the house till the aunt went to sleep then they broke in. They grabbed some of the kid's things before they left and started making their way back to camp. But before they made it they were attacked.

~(Aurora's Flashback)~

"I'll take first watch" Natalie stated

"You sure," I asked

"Yeah get some sleep while she's napping," she said indicating the sleeping toddler in my arms.

"she doesn't even have a name" I realized

"We could name her" she suggested

"I agree what should we name her though," I asked in deep thought

"It weird she has your eyes but she's a daughter of Poseidon" Natalie joked

"The fates have a plan" I reassured her

"What about Autumn?" she asked

"maybe we can discuss it in the morning," I said yawning and laying down with the nameless girl

"NORTH" Natalie screamed causing me to bolt up and the girl to start crying.

I immediately saw Natalie losing a fight to a hellhound and grabbed the sword next to me.

"RUN" Natalie screamed

I set the girl on the ground and stood in front of her going to help Natalie. Before I saw a second hellhound running towards us. I quickly turned and grabbed the girl just as the second hellhound reached us. I felt the pain going on my back as I arched my pack to protect the girl.

I heard Natalie scream. I knew she was dead before I saw the body.

"NO" I screamed

I could feel the power in me and I felt the connection to the blood in the hellhounds. As soon as I felt it I caused it to burst to scatter the two hellhounds to dust.

I ran to Natalie still holding the girl.

"Natalie, Natalie" I sobbed

I was too late she was already gone. I knew I had to finish her quest for her. I grabbed her sword and put mine in the scabbard.

"Come on Autumn" I whispered softly to the newly named girl.

~(Annabeth's Pov)~

"Arie wasn't the same after that she stayed to herself and barely took care of herself. When we burned Natalie's shroud Arie ran away from the ceremony crying. She only talked to Sophie, Oliver, and Autumn voluntarily and even then she was distant. At night she would scream so loud she woke up the whole camp. Finally, Chiron figured out that when Autumn was close to her she was fine so they both slept in the Poseidon cabin. Autumn was one of the only reasons she didn't lose herself completely. Oliver and Sophie never gave up on her though slowly she started coming back. But the day everyone figured out that her aura was the reason for the abundance of monsters attacked them she relapsed. She disappeared in the woods for days and when she came back she found a way to pull herself together and started coming back more. When the master bolt was stolen Zeus knew she was too broken to have taken it and the fact that she never left camp. That's when Percy was claimed and Luke betrayed us. With the war starting, she quickly started helping more and coming back to herself."

~(Aurora's Flashback)~

I gripped Natalie's sword in one hand and Autumn's hand in the other as we made our way to the Hephaestus' cabin.

I was about to knock when the door opened.

"Arie, What can I do for you?" Charlie Beckendorf asked with a smile

"I was hoping one of you or one of your siblings could change the hilt on this sword" I answered

"Oh, of course," He exclaimed happily " Come in"

We walked in and went to the Hephaestus cabin's workshop.

"Here grip this," he said handing me a clay hilt

I held on to it.

"Do you think you could add somethings for the hilt if I get them for you?" I asked hopefully

"Yeah, I could. It takes about half an hour before I can start shaping it just get the stuff to me before then" He replied

"Thank you, I'll go do that now," I said picking up Autumn and walking back out.

When we got outside Autumn saw Silena and ran to her as she was still learning.

"Hi, Silena" I greeted her as she picked up Autumn

"Hey, Arie, What are you too up to today?" She asked

"We are heading to the beach to look for sea glass that Charlie can add to the hilt of my sword" I explained to her

"That sounds fun. Mind if I join" she asked

"not at all" I assured her

The three of us were heading back to the beach after collecting a good amount of sea glass.

"So, what your sword's name?" Silena suddenly asked me

"It doesn't have one it was Natalie's old sword" I answered solemnly

"I'm sorry for asking" she apologized

"you didn't know"

"It should still have a name," she said again " Percy has riptide you should have your sword named something"

"What were you thinking?" I inquired

"I don't know Tsunami or something like that" She suggested

"That's perfect I wonder if we can have Charlie add that to the hilt" I wondered

"I'm sure he could" she added

I left Silena and Charlie so they could talk and stuff. I walked over to the Athen camp with my sword and its new hilt in my scabbard and a half-asleep Autumn in my arms.

I knocked on the door softly. Malcolm answered and immediately pointed me to Sophie.

"Soph, Can you watch her while I go to practice?" I whispered to Sophie

"Of course" she whispered back as I lied Autumn on her bed.

'Thank you' I mouthed to Sophie before leaving for the arena.

~(Annabeth's Pov)~

"As Percy was doing all of his prophecy stuff Arie was busy training and raising Autumn with Oliver and Sophie. When Charlie died she almost broke again but threw herself into training. When the camp's barrier broke she begged Hades and Persephone to hide Atumnu in their palace for her own protection. Autumn was five by then and didn't want to leave Arie because she had never been away from her for long before."

~(Aurora's Pov)~

"Autumn, just stay here and read don't leave, and don't eat anything under any circumstances. I'll be back as soon as I help Oliver and Sophie." I explained to her

"Don't leave" She cried hugging me

"I promise we'll all be back before you know it" I reassured her

"Ok" Autumn squeaked

I smiled at her before I had Nico shadow traveled me back to camp.

~(Annabeth's Pov)~

" The titan's army was giant. When they attacked Arie and Sophie fought by each other cutting through monsters. Oliver was trying to get to them but the rest of the Ares cabin was stopping him because they refused to fight for their father."

~(Aurora's Flashback)~

Sophie and I were cutting through monster when we got separated. I quickly killed whichever monster that was in front of me before turning to try to find Sophie. The Drakon was tearing through our lines of defenses. I saw the moment it swallowed Sophie and heard the shouts from Oliver as he broke through the lines of Ares campers. He didn't see the monster creeping up behind him. I started running towards him.

"OLIVER" I tried warning him but it was too late the Empousa was already on him. He lost the fight because he couldn't get his sword in time.

Something Scratched me but I was too numb from the recent losses to notice.

"NO" I cried over the sound of the battle.

All the campers saw what had happened and knew I was about to explode. They all quickly retreated as I made my way through the ranks of monsters till I was at the front line. They all seemed hesitant sensing my anger and their current confusion from the camper's retreat.

I could feel the blood running through their veins and as soon as the first Hellhound took a step forward I left all my anger out. Everything I had been keeping in since Natalie's death was getting unleashed on the Titan's ranks. Row after row of them turned to dust as I screamed. Finally, I fell to my knees letting the exhaustion catch up to me as our forces rushed forward with renewed hope.

The army was defeated by Percy and the gods were leaving to take care of the aftermath. I went to the elevator and reached Olympus. I didn't care about where I was I just needed to find Hades. I saw him leaving the throne room.

"Hades," I said making him turn to look at me

"What?" he questioned

"I need to get Autumn please" I begged

"Very well" was all he said before I was in the underworld in front of Autumn

I ran to her hugging her and sobbing not loosening my grip. Somehow we made it back to Camp Half-Blood.

"Arie" Percy said softly "Let me take her. get some rest"

~(Annabeth's Pov)~

"When it was time to burn Sophie and Oliver's shrouds she stood in the front with Autumn she didn't leave this time though. Everyone was grateful to her but scared at the same time because she destroyed half the army by herself. It took her months before she started talking to anyone again. When Percy went missing she started training all the time and teaching Autumn how to fight. During the second war, she didn't fight she stayed and protected all the campers that were too young to fight including Autumn. She really got better after Nico, Reyna, Piper, Hazel, Jason, Frank, Leo, Percy, and I were able to help with her after the prophecy was over. You see every half-blood has a fatal flaw that can be deadly to them. Arie's is she is Selfless. No matter her injuries if someone she cares about is hurt she'll do everything she can to protect them. That's why she took their deaths so hard. We figured after she got the Aura dampener and was able to leave camp she could start over here with her family" I finally finished leaving the whole room in stunned silence.

A number of the pack were crying.

"We had no idea," Jacob said just above a whisper.

"Arie will be wondering where I am where is she," I asked standing up

Paul cleared his throat before saying "she went to sleep she was patrolling this morning."

~(Jacob's Pov)~

Annabeth's face immediately drained when Paul answered her question.

"What's wrong," I asked worriedly still thinking about all the new information I had just learned about my little sister

"you can't leave her alone today of all days," she said angrily

"Why?" Sam asked

"Today," She said slowly "today is the three-year anniversary of her and Natalie left for the quest. Every year this day she losses all sense

~(Jacob's Pov)~

"How dangerous?" Sam asked Annabeth worriedly.

"last year she challenged the whole Ares cabin to a fight... and won" Annabeth answered "but the other two previous years Oliver, Sophie, and Autumn kept her distracted to a degree".

"We need to go see her," I said assured

"She won't be at your house anymore she would have left and made it hard for you to find her" She explained

"Then how do we find her?" Quil asked

"you shift and search" she ordered "but if-- no when you find her have someone come tell me"

We all just sat there an extra second till she barked at us to go.

"Not you," she said grabbing Sam's arm before he could go out the door causing us all to stop.

"your the one who looks like a hellhound" she reminded

"so?" he countered

"She'll kill you" Annabeth revealed

"And you expect me to just wait here while my pack goes looking for a dangerous person" he retorted

"you can stay here and tell me when they find her" she instructed him.

"fine" Sam sighed

"I need to go make a call" Annebath muttered before turning back to the kitchen.

~(Aurora's Pov)~

I don't know how I have any more tears left.

Why couldn't I save them? Why didn't Natalie take Oliver or Sophie instead of me? Why didn't Natalie let me take the first watch? Why did Sophie leave my side? Why did Oliver's siblings let him go? Why was I cursed with an Aura? Why? Why? Why?

I failed all of them. I couldn't save them.

~(Paul's Pov)~

We all ran towards Jake's house with the exception of Sam but we could still hear him.

'What are we going to do when we find Aurora'- Embry

'I don't know'- Sam

We go to the house but there were only pieces of her scent around the back.

'How is this possible if she left we should be able to find her scent'- Leah

'Annabeth did say she would try to hide'- Jared

'It still doesn't make sense'- Quil

'Split up and try to track her'- Sam

We split into groups. Me and Jake. Leah and Seth. Embry, Quil, and Jared.

~(Seth's Pov)~

I don't get how someone as happy and nice as Aurora could have dealt with so much in their past.

'Where do you think we will find her'- Seth

'no clue'- Leah

We ran for about half an hour before we heard it.

'Is that someone crying?'- Seth

'Sounds like it'- Leah

We got closer to see Aurora but she didn't look like herself she looked broken almost. She was kneeling and hunched over sobbing into her hands. As soon as we got close we felt unexplainable sadness and guilt.

'Sam we found her'- Seth

'I'll tell Annabeth'-Sam

'I'm coming'- Paul & Jacob

Slowly Aurora looked up still crying when she saw us she started backing away but stopped for some reason.

She wasn't crying anymore but she was still shaking.

'Uh oh'- Leah

'What's wrong?'-Sam

'It looks like she's about to shift'- Seth

'That's not good'- Embry

'Not at all'- Quil

Jacob and Paul both burst through the side of the clearing causing Auror to turn.

"Please don't get closer" She whispered

But Paul didn't listen and started slowly getting closer.

"Stop please" she quietly urged

Again Paul started getting closer with Jacon following close behind.

Jared, Embry, and Quil had silently joined me and Leah.

"Arie" Annabeth suddenly appeared in the clearing Sam was waiting for a few yards past the tree line.

" Annie" Aurora breathed " tell them to get back"

" You know they won't do that," she said softly taking a step forward

Aurora was still shaking but it had started to slow down.

" You need to come back to the house" she continued.

" I can't" Aurora shook her head

" This isn't what they would have wanted" Annebeth tried but it had the opposite effect.

" YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THEY WOULD HAVE WANTED THEY WOULD HAVE WANTED TO LIVE THEIR LIVES AND BE HAPPY INSTEAD OF WAITING IN ELYSIUM FOR THERE FRIENDS AND FAMILY" she snapped before she shifted into a super shaggy hazel wolf with green eyes.

~(The Pack's Pov)~

As soon as Aurora shifted images of memories started appearing in her head.

Most were with three of the same people a guy with blonde hair and brown eyes, a girl with long red hair and grey eyes, and another girl with curly brown hair and blue eyes

They were just like Annabeth described them.

Then the happy memories ended and turned into giant black hounds running towards Aurora and the brown-haired girl on the ground dead. The memory was laced with guilt and sorrow.

Next was a little girl with dark brown hair and Aurora's eyes sitting on the floor of a very dark place and a sense of protectiveness.

We were then showed a memory of a bloody battle with the redhead fighting with a hint of familiarity. But the next was the moment she was eaten by a giant serpent dragon thing followed by more guilt.

Then the blond boy rushing past a bunch of other people holding him back. We saw the donkey lady metal thing sneak up behind him and kill him.

Just blind numb rage as the view changed to piles of dust that had once been all sorts if things covered the road.

~(Aurora's Pov)~

I knew I had shifted how could I not one minute I was a teenage girl the next I was a giant wolf.

Every memory and mistake I was crying for flashed through my head

"Arie your okay" Annebeth said softly walking up to me

I wasn't paying attention to her I was trying to stop the onslaught of images going through my head. If I was thinking of them then the whole pack would have to see them and just because I was suffering didn't mean they had to.

Finally, I was able to stop the memories but I was still too emotional to shift back. Then Leah ran off into the woods and came back as a human.

"How do we get her to change back," Annebeth asked Leah

"We need to calm her down but first things first," she said to the pack " All of you go, Jake bring back a blanket or some clothes or something for her"

Everyone ran off into the woods.

"Why did they do that?" Annebeth asked

"Didn't she tell you when we shift back we are naked and I don't think Aurora, Jake, or Paul would appreciate that" Leah answered

"Good call" Annebth praised

"How we calm her down," Leah asked

" I have a plan we just need to stall" Annebeth cryptically responded

" ok then, Aurora your ok just try to calm down," Leah said kneeling next to me.

Jacob came rushing back with a blanket.

'Rosie you okay'- Jacob

' What do you think'- me

'You're going to be okay'- Jacob

Leah took the blanket from him before he ran off again. She laid it over my back.

"Ok, now we're ready. Arie, Nico brought Autumn from camp do you what to go see her" Annabeth asked

Yes if course I wanted to see her and my tail started wagging that's new.

" I'll take that as a yes," she said looking over at my tail " you got to calm down first or you'll scare her"

I whimpered at the thought of scaring Autumn.

"Think of happy and calming things" Leah suggested

I tried focusing on the ocean and being human again it slowly worked.

I gripped the blanket for dear life around me it being the only thing I was wearing beside my Aura dampener. Good thing it grows

"Thank you" I whispered

"Let's get you home" Annabeth started guiding me back

" Wait," I say suddenly " my bracelet where is it?"

" let's get you home first," Leah said

" no, I need to find it" I stood my ground "it's important"

" I'll look for it," Annebrh said going back to where I was originally

" what's so special about that bracelet," Leah asked

" for one thing it's my sword and was a gift for another each year at camp we get a bead for our necklaces but I keep mine on the bracelet" I explained

" Got it" Annebeth exclaimed

"Thank you. Where is Autumn?" I asked

"Her and Nico are waiting for us at Emily's but first let's get you some clothes" She answered

"I agree" I laughed

"Me too, Paul might faint if he sees you like this" Leah commented causing us all to laugh

~(Nico's Pov)~

After I go the IM from Annebeth to get bring Autumn here I got to work as fast I could getting everything ready.

When Autumn and I shadow traveled to Emily's House all the people Arie has been telling me about were there. I looked around everyone was anxious and focused on themselves Jacob and someone else was pacing and someone was cooking in the kitchen.

"Hello," I said

A number of them jumped a little causing Autumn to hide behind me and the two guys stopped pacing.

"Where's Arie?" I asked

"We don't know," Jacob said as someone came out of the kitchen

"Hello," Emily greeted cheerfully

Autumn moved from behind me and gasped when she saw Emily's scar making everyone tense.

"Your a half-blood?" Autumn asked

"No, I'm not sweetie" Emily admitted

"Then how do you have hellhound scars. Auntie showed me hers and that's what they look like" she said confidently

"Oh this is from someth--" Emily was cut off from the door slamming open and a slightly wild-looking Arie running through it and looking around till she saw Autumn and ran over to hug her.

~(Jacob's Pov)~

One minute Autumn and Emily were talking the next Rosie was in the house running to her and trapping her in a crushing hug. Leah and Annebeth walked in after a few minutes while they were still hugging.

Then Rose stood up and went over to hug Nico and mumbling 'thank you' to him that I wouldn't be able to hear if it wasn't for wolf hearing. When she pulled away Paul slowly started walking over to her and put a hand on her shoulder making her turn. And when Rosie saw him the biggest smile spread across her face before she kissed him on the lips.

'Of course, she has to kiss him. There is no way I'm going to be able to stop them now' I mentally groaned

"Auntie, who's this" Autumn asked eyeing Paul suspiciously.

"This is Paul" Rosie answered picking her up.

~(Aurora's Pov)~

"Paul," Autumn said thinking it over " If Auntie likes you your ok but I am watching you"

Of course, she was suspicious of Paul they better get along better in the future or I don't know what I'm going to do.

"Be nice Autumn" I scolded her

"If I have too" she mumbled jumping down and looking over the room judgmentally

"So" I start turning to Annabeth," you told them"

"That's not the full story," she said quickly standing up from her spot on the couch and moving behind it

"Really?" I asked quizzically

"Hazel told me I had to tell them, blame her" she accused

"You would throw your future husband's father's descendant's girlfriend under the bus like that shame on you" I responded speaking full sarcasm

"Rory you going to confuse the mortals" Nico fake chided enjoying the show

"Ok, what is it with everyone calling us mortals we can literally turn into wolves and have telepathic conversations" Quil announced

"Technically you don't have godly parent so it doesn't count mortal" Autumn giggled at the end. I noticed she was also slowly getting closer to Jacob and his wallet. I mean honestly, you can take the girl out of the Hermes cabin but you can't take the Hermes cabin out of the girl.

"Still we aren't completely mortal" Seth whined

"You were mortal but now you're just blessed with a gift a god gave you," Annabeth said going full daughter of Athena

"Still count as mortals and they don't have to deal with monsters" Nico put in

"We have to take care of leeches all the time" Embry retorted

"leeches?" Nico asked

"Vrykolakas" I clarified

"Vrykolakas?" Jared then asked

"leec-- no vampires" I again clarified

"Vampires?" Autumn asked

"Vrykolakas" I for a thrid time had to clarify

"Muffin?" Emily asked from the tables

"Please" I sighed

"What exactly are Vryolakas?" Sam wondered

"Annebeth?" I mumbled through a mouthful of muffing indicanty that she was syppuse to answer the question before takign another bite of my muffin

"Well people stop beliving in dieties or their domains get destroyed they fade. Like what happened to Pan and Briares' brothers Cottus and Gyges and Vryolakas were starting to fade when Bram Stoker wrote Count Dracula. Then people started getting their own ideas and Vryolakas adapted and then just everything else." Annebeth explained in her all-knowing voice

"Autumn give Jake his wallet back" I told her as soon as I finished my muffin and saw Autumn trying to pocket Jake's cash.

"What" Jake exclaimed turning around

"you got robbed by a seven-year-old" Leah laughed

"Don't judge she is a daughter of Hermes, God of thievery" Annebeth explained

"Speaking of that give it back" Nico said opening his hand

"What" Autumn said innocently too innocent

"My ring" Nico explained only then did I realize his silver skull ring was missing from his hand.

"Fine" she huffed tossing the ring to Nico

"and the rest of the stuff" I added knowing her to well

She walked over to leah first handing to Leah first and handing back a pack of gum then handed Jake back his wallet and of course she went to the coffe table and let a whole collection of cutlery fall from her pockets.

"You didn't even go in the kitchen" Paul exclaimed

All Autumn had in a response was a shrug.

Then there was a knock at the door and Jake was the closet so he went to get. I could hear dad's wheelchair before I could see it. The wolf hearing was something I was defientdly going to have to get used too.

"So you shifted" Dad asked as soon as he saw me

"shifting?" Autumn quietly asked Annabeth but I wasn't paying attention to that.

I know why I shifted. Dad is the one that carried the gene not mom so that just means that Poseidon and Dad are my parents. Just like Kayla in Cabin 7.

"Yeah, I did" I confirmed

" And who is this" Dad asked seeing Autumn still bugging Annaebeth

"Autumn Rose Black" Autumn introduced hersled surprisingly polite at the worst possible moment

It was almost funny to see the pure and utter schocked that was plastered on my dads face.

"I-I can explain that" I tried quickly to explain before I saw Autumn wince when she held out her hand.

"Dam it Autumn" I stressed kneeling down infront of her and rolling up her sleve to see where here throwing knives cut here arm.

"Why does a seven-year-old have knives" Dad asked horrified

"Thats my cue to leave" Nico said

"Wait, take me with you" Annabeth said quickly grabbing his hand right before he stepped into the shadows.

"Cowards" I muttered under my breathe before I answered " to fight of monster if we ever got seperated she would need a weapon"

"Can she even use them?" Jake asked

Autmn looked over to me for permission before I nodded my head.

She quickly sent one of the knives flying throught the air and landing just above Jacob's head.

"Here eat some Ambrosia and be more careful when you hide your weapons" I advised her.

(Aurora's Pov)

After I explained to my dad that Autumn was not my biological daughter we went home with Paul. I was able to get Autumn asleep and Paul had also fallen asleep on the couch.

I took extra care to be careful as I made my way out of the house and to the beach. The sound of the water was very calming as I sat on the sand.

"What are you doing out here?" someone behind me asked

"I tried not to wake you when I left," I said

"You don't have to worry about waking me up," Paul said sitting down next to me

"That doesn't mean I want to"

"Why aren't you asleep," He asked

"Couldn't stop thinking"

"About?"

"Them"

"Tell me about them" Paul requested putting an arm around my shoulder and pulling him closer

"I meet Natalie first we shared a bunk in Hermes cabin she was the nicest person. She could make friends with anyone. She was always the happiest and rarely couldn't get the people around in the same mood." I smiled sadly wiping away a few tears and leaning more into Paul

"Then there was Sophie she was... she was a little crazy and she wanted to know everything. One time she and Autumn snuck into the other cabins to get DNA because she wanted to know if whichever godly parent you had changed your genetic code. She was definitely different than her siblings. She was smart one of the smartest people I knew. Oliver was the only one who could get her to abandon some of her wilder experiments. She one time set a bunk on fire because she was trying to enhance her greek fire recipe" I laughed a little at the end

"I probably dated Oliver for a total of a week before we decided to stay friends and he was so much happier once he and Sophie got together. He was the one that taught Autumn how to throw her knives because he wanted to make sure she never had to be too close to the actual danger. He would also tell her stories of Natalie because he knew I couldn't. When he and Sophie finished college and got jobs they were going to officially adopt her. They would have made a nice family together." I started crying again and turned into Paul's shoulder

(The Next Morning)

"Who were you talking to on the phone?" I asked Jake as he hangs up the telephone

"Bella" he answered before turning away

"Does that mean we are talking to them again?" I asked hopefully

"Maybe"

(Two days Later)

It was nice having Autumn here with me the only problem was Leah. She started getting distance from me. I feel like she is jealous because I know she went through a hard time when she shifted and I didn't. Just another perk of being a half-god I guess.

I had just gotten off patrol and was going to go pick up Autumn at Emily's where the rest of the pack were. All of a sudden there was a sound of hooves on the ground. I turn quickly Tsumani already in my hand.

It had to be that stupid minotaur. It was charging at me and quickly sidestepped but it turned quicker than I thought it could and charged again. Before I could react there was sickly pop from my shoulder I quickly stabbed the thing in the back with Tsunami.

I made it to Emily's as fast as I could with my shoulder in agony. Why hasn't it healed already?

I groaned as I walk through the door and quickly sat in one of the kitchen chairs.

"What happened to your arm," Emily asked worriedly rushing over

"Minotaur" I groaned "Autumn go tell Percy the Minotaur attacked but we're fine" I tossed her a coin

"What do we do?" Jared askes glancing from side to side. By now there was a semi-circle around me

"You have to pop it back in place" I try to explain calmly through gritted teeth

"It should have healed" Quil stated painfully obvious

"It clearly didn't" I shot at him "someone please just pop it back in"

"But it will heal" Embry assured

"This is stupid fine I'm a demigod weird things happen to me all the time now someone fixes my arm" I snapped

"Here," Leah said stepping behind me and grabbing hold of my arm. She shoved the joint back into the socket while I accidentally made a cup of water break burst.

"Thank you" I sighed roaming around in my pocket for my ambrosia and taking a bite.

~(Aurora's Pov)~

Autumn and I were sitting on the front lawn eating lunch. We had spent all morning with Leah trying to figure out what was different about me. She was starting to warm up to me again after the Minotaur incident. So far all we figured out was that I wasn't going through the same changes that Leah did, I healed a lot slower than the others, and I wasn't as warm.

"Where were you?" I ask as Jake gets off his motorcycle

"Went to see Bella" he answered not looking at me

"So does that mean we can acknowledge that she exists again?" I nagged

"Maybe" he sighed as he took a chip from Autumn's plate earning a protest from her

"Well you can think about it while your watching Autumn tonight" I suggested

"Why am I watching her? Where will you be?" He asked sitting down next to Autumn

"Technically you won't be watching her Dad will be but I figured he could use the help and Paul's taking me out for dinner," I said trying to sound casual so he wouldn't get mad

"You're going on a date with him," He said calmly almost to calm

"Why aren't you freaking out" I almost protest

"Do you want me too"

"No, I just thought you would make a big deal out of it" I honestly answered "He's picking me up at 5 do you guys think you'll need anything"

"I'm not difficult to watch" Autumn mumbled around a mouthful of sandwich

(A Few Hours Later)

"So where are we going?" I asked Paul as I got into the car moving my backpack onto my lap.

I was still getting used to having to carry it around but me and Leah talked so we each stuffed a change of clothes and shoes into a bag so we could wear them if we accidentally shifted. I also put in some nectar and ambrosia with a small first aid kit.

"A BBQ place not that far away" He smiled

(At the BBQ Restaurant)

"Table for two please," Paul said to the hostess at the restaurant

"Right this way" she chirped happily

Oliva, according to her nametag, led us to a booth near the middle of the restaurant and handed us our menus.

"So uh.." Paul chuckled nervously

"It kinda awkward having a first date when we know we'll end up together one day" I laughed

"Yeah it really is" he agreed "I like your new hairstyle"

"Thanks," I say lightly touching my newly cut hair that reaches just above my shoulder "I figured it would be harder for my patrols if I was tripping the whole time"

"Enzo, ti amo c'è una cosa che devo dirti" I hear an Italian women say from across the dining room 'Enzo, I love you but there is something I have to tell you'

"It would make patrols difficult with long hair," Paul said, pulling my attention back to our conversation.

"Andrea, non sono mai stato più felice di questo ultimi nova mesi" I overheard another man sat again in Italian 'Andrea, I've never been happier than I have these last nine months'

I finally stood halfway up trying to see the couple who were talking and saw that the woman, Andrea, was pregnant. Very pregnant.

"What are you looking at?" Paul asked, trying to follow my line of sight.

"I feel like something very interesting is going to happen at that table" I whispered to him gesturing for him to sit back down with me

"How can you understand what they're saying," he asked

"Nico. He taught me Italian. I thought I told you that" I answered still listening to the Italian conversation. So far it was just Andrea telling Enzo that she loved him.

"See I'm already learning new things about you" Paul smiled

"While I'm eavesdropping on other people's conversations" I point out

"Il bambino.." Andrea started 'the baby...'

"Something about the baby I don't know what yet" I translate to Paul

"Per quanto riguarda il bambino? Va tutto a posto?" Enzo responded rapidly looking worried 'What about the baby? Is everything okay?'

I again translated the questions to Pual

Andrea mumbled something before repeating it louder "il bambino non ѐ tuo"

"The baby isn't the man's" I gasp

"That's got to suck" Paul looked they he has just been hit

They started arguing in Italian too fast for me to understand

"Silente muore" Enzo yelled finally 'dumbledore dies'

"Come hai potuto?"Andrea screamed back at him with a look of utter betrayal on her face 'how could you?'

"What happened? What are they saying now?" Paul asked hurriedly

"I think the man just spoiled Harry Potter for the pregnant girl" I couldn't help but laugh

Of course, they heard me laughing and looked over at our table. But before they could say anything Andrea's water broke and they had to leave the restaurant fast.

"I didn't you spoke Italian," Paul said after the couple left

"Nico taught me gave us something to focus on after the war" I answered suddenly very invested in making a crawly worm with my straw wrapper

"It gave us all something to do we all focused on different things. Percy and Annebeth had school. Frank has got used to being a praetor. Leo was busy coming back from the dead and rescuing his princess from her desolate island. Jason Piper were building their relationship. Hazel was adjusting to the world and I was keeping my mind busy learning their languages" I explained while successfully making my worm crawl.

"Tha-" Paul started before being cut off by our waiter introducing himself

(driving back home)

"So, a woman tells you that her baby isn't yours and your ruin a children's book for her" Paul said laughing

"I guess" I laughed with him

All of sudden my head was filled with screaming. It was so loud I was clutching my head trying to get it to stop.

"Aurora, Aurora What's wrong?" Paul asked worriedly putting a hand on my shoulder while he pulled over

"It's so loud" I was able to make out

Then the screaming just stopped.

"Aurora, What is it?" Paul asked again

"Screaming, there was so much screaming," I said out of breathe

"I didn't hear anything," Paul said confused

"You wouldn't it wasn't human it was an animal" I answered looking around till I spotted it "You want to make this a memorable first date"

"Depends what do you have planned," He asked

"We are going to go free some animals," I say as I empty my backpack onto the seat

"Hello, I need a table please," Paul said as he walked up to the hostess at Red Lobster

"How many in your party?" the hostess asked

"Five" Paul answered like we quickly rehearsed in the car

"Do you guys want out of here?" I try to discreetly ask the Lobsters in the tank without looking like a crazy person.

There are about three lobsters left in the tank.

"My lady please have mercy on us," Lobster 1 said

"Who are you?" Lobster 2 asked

"That's our master daughter" Lobster 3 answered

"Please, save us, have mercy," they all said

"I have a plan just give us a second," I say looking over to where Paul was seated.

I watched as a waiter started making his way to the table with five glasses of water on his tray. I felt bad for what I was about to do but not that much. I unzipped my bag and rested it on the side of the lobster tank in preparation before I made the glasses of water spill going in every direction.

"Quickly get in," I said hurriedly as I dunked the empty backpack into the tank while everyone was distracted looking at the watery mess I caused.

"I felt so bad for the waiter," I said between laughs as me and Pual walked through the front door

"I can't believe we jailbroke lob-" We stopped short once we saw the disaster around us. I quickly put my backpack on the dining room table

Jacob and Autumn were standing in front of the stove which had various pots on it with two of them on fire. Autumn was wearing my dad's hat which was covered in cocoa powder as she was from head to toe and Jacob was covered in flour. There was a mixture of flour and cocoa powder that faintly coated the entire room. There were different-sized handprints all over the walls and somehow a few on the ceiling. Despite the mess that was everywhere they both had the biggest grins on their faces.

"DAD" I yelled

He casually rolled into the room but he was not much less a disaster than Jake and Autumn. He was wearing makeup. My makeup which I'm guessing Autumn put on him and his hatless head had little braids in it tied with brightly colored ribbons. He looked like he didn't care what was happening because he was too focused on the bag of chocolate chips he was eating one by one.

"What happened," I asked going over to Autumn and taking off the hat only to see she had a hairbrush stuck in her hair

Before I could comment on the hairbrush the Lobsters on the bag managed to open the zipper from the inside and start making their way out.

At that moment everyone started laughing with two of us and a room covered in baking ingredients, dad and his makeover, and the other having just stolen Lobsters from a restaurant.

~Time Skip (2 days later)~

It had taken a long time to clean up the mess that Jacob and Autumn had made while Paul and I were on our date. I had to sit and untangle the hairbrush from Aumtumn's hair for almost half an hour before I finally got it out and dad was reluctant for me to clean all the makeup off his face claiming it was a work of art. Afterward, we all went to the beach and released the lobsters into the ocean.

"They're here. They're here" Emily chirped happily to the room full of wolves and Autumn. Apparently, her brother and nieces were visiting. The good part was that Anne the oldest was only a year younger than Autumn.

"Give me the knives," I said to Autumn

"Why" She pouted

"Because I haven't forgotten what happened with the triplets" I hinted at her holding out my hand for the knives. I watched as she pulled them out of her belt and boots because she was wearing short sleeves today.

" Thank you," I said putting them on top of the fridge before returning to my seat between Seth and Leah.

"I still don't why you let a child have weapons" Embry commented

"If you forget there is still a notch in my wall from the last demonstration we had" Sam reminded

"And this time she knows you heal fast which means she won't miss" I chuckled while Autumn smiled with a very Hermes glint in her eyes.

"Hush up about that now" Emily chided us all before opening the door

"Micheal so good to see you" Emily greeted as she hugged her brother who had a two-year-old on his hip.

"Hi Em," Micheal said.

"Aah look at little Claire your so cute and Anne look how big you've gotten. I have a new friend for you to play with, look" Emily said indicating Autumn.

"Go say hi" I whispered nudging Autumn

"I love your shirt" Autumn complimented Anne's Go, Diego Go shirt. Since Autumn got here she seemed insistent on watching a television that wasn't being hogged by half of the Hephaestus cabin and whoever else was there.

"I want to be an animal researcher when I grow up" Anne admitted

"I want to be a teacher," Autumn said which started their conversation.

I overheard Emily telling Michael that Autumn was my niece while Claire was looking around the room at all the new people.

"What did I mi-" Quil started having just come out of the bathroom before stopping once he saw Claire whose head had been directed to the new sound.

The whole room got quiet, besides Anne and Autumn's conversation and Micheal still talking, because we all know what imprinting looks like. You could see the falter in Emily's smile before she replaced it but it looked a little more forced this time.

"I set up the guest room why don't you take the girls and go get situated," Emily said slightly strained but her brother didn't seem to notice the change in her demeanor.

As soon as Micheal, Claire, Anne, and Autumn were down the hall Emily practically dragged Quil out of the house. Sam went to go with her before she shot him a look that stopped him in his tracks. All of us moved to try to listen to their conversation but they had moved too far away.

"Aurora, can't you do something" Jared finished doing some weird hand motion

"I'm a half-blood, not a wizard. I don't do" I mimicked his hand motion but still giving Quil and Emily a little rain-free area

"Hush you two I can't hear" Leah hissed

"What are they saying," Seth asked

"I don't know" Jake answered

"She looks mad" Paul commented

Emily stopped talking for a second and looked up seeming to notice that they weren't getting rained on before she glared at us through the window causing all of us to quickly flee her line of sight.

~Time Skip (2 days later)~

"Rosie, I have a surprise" Jake yelled through the house as I was trying(and failing) to tame Autumn's hair.

"What is it" I yelled back giving up and handing the hairbrush to Autumn to finish.

"Your female forks friend" Bella called

"Finally, I've missed you" I exclaimed hugging Bella

"Well, I do believe we have a lot to catch up on especially with your shifting and all" she declared

"We wouldn't if my friendships weren't dictated," I say looking at Jacob before dragging her into my room.

We talked for a few hours about who Autumn was and basically everything else including how I was hoping to get my degree at the University of Washington so I could work with marine mammals. Jacob came in eventually stealing her away again claiming that he missed her too like he wasn't the one forcing her away.

~Time Skip (6 days later)~

"Catch," Leah says as she throws my shirt to me

"'Thanks," I say while pulling it over my head. We had just finished switching patrols with Seth and Embry.

"You're mad aren't you" She mumbled while putting her pants on.

"You don't have to think about those things to intentionally hurt them," I said angrily grabbing my bracelet from the bottom of the backpack, the twelve wooden beads clattering as I put it on.

"Why shouldn't I" She snapped

"Because even if Sam could control the imprinting the rest of us shouldn't have to suffer as well" I retort

"None of you know what I'm going through especially you"

"You think you have problems. You only deal with a fraction of the world that I have to survive and If I say one thing to anger a whole half of my family I can be cursed or just killed because I don't agree with them. Do you know how hard it is for me to keep my memories from the rest of the pack they haven't been in a real fight I have been in two wars and have almost died countless times but I try to keep my pack from having to face the same things that I have been through. I have always protected my family blood or other and you, you try hurting them you make it your goal to make sure they feel your pain which is what exactly, a broken heart." My voice kept getting louder and by the time I was done I was practically yelling. Leah opened her mouth to say something but just turned and walked away instead, still carrying her shoes.

"Where's Autumn," I ask dad when I find him in the living room after dropping the backpack on the counter.

"She said she was tired and wanted to take a nap" He answered before rolling into the kitchen

Weird, Autumn never gets tired this early in the day. I walk into my room but it's empty. I decided to check in the garage where Jake is working on his car.

"Jake" I yell from the garage door

"What," he says sliding out from under the car

"Is Autumn out here with you?" I ask trying to start worrying

"No, last I saw her she was looking for something in your room" he answered

I didn't answer I just ran back to the house and into my room with Jacob not far behind

"Did Autumn leave?" I hurriedly ask Stormy and Trident

"She did" Trident answered first

"Said she wanted us to tell you she will be fine" Stormy added

"And that she just wants to see the Vrykolakas" Trident continued

"You have got to be kidding me" I exclaim then turning to rush out of the room but is stopped by Jake grabbing my arm.

"What's wrong" He askes worriedly

"Nothing just got to go get Autumn" I answer quickly before pushing past him

"Do you need any help?" He asks as I grab the backpack off the counter

"No," I say before running into the woods behind the house.

As I'm running I take off my bracelet and shove it into the bag before I stop to take the rest of my clothes off and shove them into he backpack too before I shift. I quickly grab the bag in my mouth and start running.

I don't know how long ago Autumn left but she is fast so she was probably already at the Cullen's house.

'Aurora everything ok?'- Embry

'Yeah just wanted to run for a while'- Aurora

'That's the way to the Cullen's house, you know?'- Seth

'I know I have to go see them for a minute'- Aurora

'Ok'- Seth & Embry

I stop at the boundary line and shift back and put on my clothes behind a tree before I will the water in the river to make a bridge for me to cross.

I knock on the door when I finally get to the front of the house and it instantly opens.

"Autumn's Auntie I presume?" Esme asks when she opens the door

"Yes, that means she's here right?"

"She came dripping on our doorstep from the river asking to see the vampires. We were defiantly shocked at first but she did smell of the wolves and Bella recognized her" Esme explained opening the door wide for me to come in

"I'm sorry, I was patrolling when she left didn't notice till I got back" I apologized walking in

"Don't apologize its been a while since any of us have had the opportunity to be around any children" She smiled but their was something sad beneath it.

"You said Bella was here?" I asked

"Yes, I believe that Alice kidnapped her" She laughed

We had walked into their giant living room to find Autumn sitting on Bella's lap on the couch telling the Vrykolaks a story. Of course she would be the only child comfortable surrounded by a coven of vrykolakas and not just any vrykolakas ones with special abilities. Thank Zeus none of them were her chosen. Autumn stopped talking when she saw me and I knew the rest of them knew I was in the room to because they probably heard me knock. Edward looked at me curiously but before he could say anything the blonde one from the boundary started toward me only to be blocked by the other short female.

"You're the one with the water?" The blonde asked

"I am though I am surprised that Edward hasn't told you what I am yet," I said

They all looked at Edward who said nothing.

"Or Carlisle for that matter but he doesn't know I'm one specifically" I added

"Ah, your one of the god born. I should have known since the river incident. You don't smell entirely wolf almost like the ocean. Neptune?" Carlisle asked after his realization

"Greek. Poseidon" I answered

"I can read your mind now but not before why?" Edward asked

"Only works when you didn't know what I was and I guessing Bella told you at some point" I answered looking at Bella who was blushing.

"Can't blame her. It's not like you tried hiding the answer either?" The big one who Paul almost got into a fight with said

"Its not a secret that I'm god born we just don't want mortals to think we're crazy and aren't you the vampire who crossed the boundary?" I replied then asked

"He didn't cross the boundary" the blonde one hissed

"Probably not but he got too close to me and Paul is protective" I glared at her

Edward laughed "I don't think he could protect you if he wanted to based on what I'm seeing also her names Rosalie" Edward said seemingly enjoying finally being able to see into my head

"Mutt" Rosalie snarled before stalking back over to the big one and sitting down

"Emmet" Edward answered for me before I could ask

"What?" Emmet said

"She doesn't know your names I was telling her" Edward explained to his brother

"I'm Alice and that's Jasper" the short girl quickly introduced herself and the tall blonde on the other side of the room.

"You, Your not human" I wondered for a moment

"Genius mutt you have here" I heard Rosalie scoff

I turned to the door to go outside telling Edward to have them all come outside too. It was raining just enough for the clouds to cover the sun. I make a bubble of no rain around our group

"APOLLO" I shout up to the sky nothing happens

"APOLLO" I try again

"Is she ok?" I hear Bella try to whisper to Edward

"APOLLO" I yell for the last time before a bright light starts breaking in through the cloud.

A yellow Ferrari comes comes crashing down causing everyone to jump back a little and the sunlight emanating form the car caused the vrykolakas to sparkle. Autumn was very fascinated by this and kept running her hands down Esme's arms who was standing next to her and Bella.

"Ra, So good to see you again" Apollo greet happily as a tall yellow-haired man with sunglasses on and a nearly blinding smile.

"You never claimed her" I state

"Uh, my dear Mary Alice," he says turning to Alice "Such a shame what they put you through in that horrid place"

"How do you know my name?" Alice asked

"I do keep a record of all my children. It is a very long list but I do know it" Apollo smiled

"Children?" Alice questioned

"Why yes, you were supposed to be a great prophet of mine but again that horrid place and those terrible treatments. I was almost glad when you were changed." Apollo continued

"You were supposed to claim all you children after the Titan war" I reminded the sun god of Percy's agreement.

"I do not believe your brother ever said we had to claim our dead children when he made us take the oath" Apollo mused

"Loopholes" I muttered wondering how they still managed to find loopholes after swearing.

"You shouldn't go poking around a god's mind," Apollo said darkly looking at Edward before Apollo returned to his cheerful demeanor "Well as nice as the catching up was I got to fly till next time Ra" he jumped back in his car a took off again without another word

"What the hell was that!" Emmet exclaimed

"That, I believe was our first encounter with a god and Alice's father" Carlisle answered " three hundred and sixty-nine years on this earth and I have never been lucky enough to see a god before"

"How is he Alice's father?" Jasper asked

"The gods have lots of children and we usually get powers from our godly parent like what what I'm doing to the rain right now. Apollo's children sometimes get prophet powers like what Alice has but we have monsters who try to kill use that is probably what got Alice turned in the first place." I explain

"She was probably a... uh.." I trail off not knowing the word they use for chosen

"Cantante" Edward finished for me

" Cantante thank you. Alice was probably a Cantante or Blood singer to a vampire we just call the vampires who have half-blood Cantante the chosen. That's why it's dangerous for us to be around them unless we know our chosen" I give Autumn a warning look as I say that.

"So, am I a god born," Bella asked quietly

"Yes and no" I start" You're a legacy your father was half-blooded but his godly parent was a minor god so basically no monster went after you but you still had a chosen. I think your grandmother was Soteria goddess of safety and preservation from harm." I respond noticing that Emmet seems to have gotten sadder as I explained the chosen

"That makes no sense why would Bella be a blood singer but not her father" Rosalie practically spat at me

"I'm related to a horse and one of my cousins was a tree for three years before a magic fleece, which I'm also related to, brought her back from the dead before she joined an immortal hunting party do you really want to question why a vampire can't read his girlfriends mind?" I snapped back at her.

Before Rosalie could say anything else three wolves burst through the tree line on the other side of the river. Sam was in the front with Jake and Paul flanking him on each side. The vampires instantly went to protect Bella and Autumn form the new arrivals before they realized it was the wolves and relaxed a little but not moving. It was kinda nice seeing them protect Autumn after knowing her for so short a time.

"HELLHOUND" Autumn shrieked causing everyone to become alert again but not fast enough as she quickly threw her knives. They flew too fast for anyone to do anything in any other scenario I would have been impressed but not at this moment. One buried itself in Sam's thigh and two in his side. I pick her fast and started reassuring her that it was okay and that he wasn't a hellhound.

He let out a startled whimper before retreating to the forest and I'm assuming returning back to his house. Jacob and Paul both went with him but they came back in as humans I made them a water bridge for them both to cross and after a slight hesitation they made it to the side with us.

"What are you doing here?" Jake asked though I wasn't sure if he was asking me or Bella

"Autumn wanted to see the vampire that where she went" I answered anyway trying to spare Bella about the disapproval I know he has for her boyfriend and his kind

"We should leave now," Paul said eyeing the Cullens like they were threats

"Bye, Ra," Alice said cheerfully before going back into the house

There were a few more stiff nods exchanged between the wolves and vampires. Autumn waved goodbye to them with her head still buried in my shoulder.

"How did you know where I was?" I asked them once we were over the river

"Embry and Seth followed you then told us" Jake answered still not entirely relaxed

"Is she ok?" Paul whispered indicating Autumn who had her head buried in my shoulder

"She's asleep. She knew we were shifters but Sam really does look like a Hellhound she should be fine in the morning" I hoped not knowing how much she remembered from when she was little.

~Time Skip (3 days later)~

After some convincing Dad finally argreed to let Autumn hear the Quileute legends seeing as she already knew them and Jacob was allowed to bring Bella despite her not being a wolf or a imprint.

"Let me cook it" Autumn whined

"Fine, just be careful and don't burn yourself" I warned her passing her the homemade skewers we were using

"I never burn myself" She pouted

"That beacuse Leo always helps you" I argued

Autumn was doing surpringly well since the whole Sam/Hellhound thing except she always seems to keep as far away as possible now.

"How do you all eat so much?" Bella asked Jacob who was leaning against her knees

"Shifting makes use hungry" he answered before gulping down his Root Beer while he waited for his three hot dogs to finish cooking.

"Rora, you seem to be in control of your stomach. Doesn't shifting make you hungry?" Bella asked looking at me from her seat in the circle

"Unlike these uncivilsed pigs" I say earning a playful shove from Paul who was sitting next to me" I know how to save food. You would be surprised about how little places there are in Arizona who give handouts"

"You went to Arizona?" Jake asked catching a bag od super-sized chips Embry had thrown our way

"For a few weeks didn't last long. Stupid Harpies chased me out" I said turning my skewer in the fire

"She almost didn't get away thats why she has the scratches on her neck" Autumn piped up looking proud of herself for rembering.

The everyone who heard her (which was most seeing as it was mostly wolves) got queit for a second before the conversation picked back up again.

"I used to live in Arizona before I moved to Forks" Bella added trying to find the right thing to say

"It was nice but too hot for me. I prefer the cold and rain" I admitted

"I'm the complete opposite I hate always being wet and frezzing cold" She laughed

"Your burning them" I yelped quickly grabbing the stick from Autumn and blowing the flames out before they were completey burnt.

"I guess we have to eat these ones" Autumn sulked at the slightly charred hot dogs

"I won't be bad" I comfortered her

"Jared" I called from acros the circle so he would throw the packet of buns he was hogging

Autumn and I made the two charred hot dogs and my to which were not as bad. We both said our quick prayer to our respective parents before tossing the good ones into the fire.

Eight of the most betrayed faces stared back at us like we had just commited the greates crime in history. Seth was pretending to cry into his sisters shoulder while Leah just looked kinda angry like we burned her food

"Why would you do that?" Quil sputtered

"What did the poor food ever do to you?" Jared cried and Embry looked like he was seriuosly debating wheter or not it was worth getting them back from the fire

"Its an offering to the gods" Autumn delcared standing her ground

"But why?" Sam implored

"So they don't get mad at us. Be thankful for never feeling the fury of a all powerful being" I try to explain

Everyone slowly moves thier food from my line of sight like I was going to steal it away from them.

"I'm not going to steal your food" I laughed at similiar they all are when it comes to their food.

Most of the food was gone at this point the pack proably ate more than twenty each with the humans eating signifatly less. Autumn tried getting into a eating contest with Seth but stopped after her third.

"Are you ging to eat that Hot Dog?" Paul asked Jacob, his eyes locked on the last
remnant of the huge meal.

"I guess," Jake said slowly. "I'm so full I'm about to puke, but Ithink I can force it down. I won't enjoy it at all, though." He sighed sadly.

Paul's hadns started to ball up at his sides showing his anger.

"Sheesh." Jacob laughed. "Kidding, Paul. Here." He flipped the homemade skewer across the circle. It looke like it was going to land in the sand but I know niether of them would risk their food, Paul caught it neatly on the right end without difficulty.

"Thanks, man," Paul said, already over his brief fit of temper.

The fire crackled, settling lower toward the sand. Sparks blew up in a sudden puff of brilliant orange against the black sky.

As Jacob was whispering to Bella about what the gathering was about everyone turned thier attention to the front of the circle where Old Quil, Sam, Sue Clearwater and dad were seated.

Dad cleared his throat before starting "The Quileutes have been a small people from the beginning, and we are a small people still, but we have never disappeared. This is because there has always been magic in our blood. It wasn't always the magic of shape-shifting — that came later. First, we were spirit warriors. In the beginning, the tribe settled in this harbor and became skilled ship builders and fishermen. But thetribe was small, and the harbor was rich in fish. There were others who coveted our land, and we were too small to hold it. A larger tribe moved against us, and we took to our ships to escape them. Kaheleha was not the first spirit warrior, but we do not remember the stories that came before his." Apparenly he decided to stay with the orignal legend excluding the whole Melione's favor part. "We do not remember who was the first to discover this power, or how it had been used before this crisis. Kahelehawas the first great Spirit Chief in our history. In this emergency, Kaheleha used the magic to defend our land. He and all his warriors left the ship — not their bodies, but their spirits. Their women watched over the bodies and the waves, and the men took their spirits back to our harbor. They could not physically touch the enemy tribe, but they had other ways. The stories tell us that they could blow fierce winds into their enemy's camps; they could make a great screaming in the wind that terrified their foes. The stories also tell us that the animals could see the spirit warriors and understand them; the animals would do their bidding. Kaheleha took his spirit army and wreaked havoc on the intruders. This invading tribe had packs of big, thick-furred dogs that they used to pull their sleds in the frozen north. The spirit warriors turned the dogs against their masters and then brought a mighty infestation of bats up from the cliff caverns. They used the screaming wind to aid the dogs in confusing the men. The dogs and bats won. The survivors scattered, calling our harbor a cursed place. The dogs ran wild when the spirit warriors released them. The Quileutes returned to their bodies and their wives, victorious. The other nearby tribes, the Hohs and the Makahs, made treaties with the Quileutes. They wanted nothing to do with our magic. We lived in peace with them. When an enemy came against us, the spirit warriors would drive them off. Generations passed. Then came the last great Spirit Chief, Taha Aki. He was known for his wisdom, and for being a man of peace. The people lived well and content in his care. But there was one man, Utlapa, who was not content."

A hiss ran thorugh the group seemingly from everyone but dad kept going, "Utlapa was one of Chief Taha Aki's strongest spirit warriors — a powerful man, but a grasping man, too. He thought the people should use their magic to expand their lands, to enslave the Hohs and the Makahs and build an empire. Now, when the warriors were their spirit selves, they knew each other's thoughts. Taha Aki saw what Utlapa dreamed, and was angry with Utlapa. Utlapa was commanded to leave the people, and never use his spirit self again. Utlapa was a strong man, but the chief's warriors outnumbered him. He had no choice but to leave. The furious outcast hid in the forest nearby, waiting for a chance to get revenge against the chief. Even in times of peace, the Spirit Chief was vigilant in protecting his people. Often, he would go to a sacred, secret place in the mountains. He would leave his body behind and sweep down through the forests and along the coast, making sure no threat approached. One day when Taha Aki left to perform this duty, Utlapa followed. At first, Utlapa simply planned to kill the chief, but this plan had its drawbacks. Surely the spirit warriors would seek to destroy him, and they could follow faster than he could escape. As he hid in the rocks and watched the chief prepare to leave his body, another plan occurred to him. Taha Aki left his body in the secret place and flew with the winds to keep watch over his people. Utlapa waited until he was sure the chief had traveled some distance with his spirit self. Taha Aki knew it the instant that Utlapa had joined him in the spirit world, and he also knew Utlapa's murderous plan. He raced back to his secret place, but even the winds weren't fast enough to save him. When he returned, his body was already gone. Utlapa's body lay abandoned, but Utlapa had not left Taha Aki with an escape — he had cut his own body's throat with Taha Aki's hands. Taha Aki followed his body down the mountain. He screamed at Utlapa, but Utlapa ignored him as if he were mere wind. Taha Aki watched with despair as Utlapa took his place as chief of the Quileutes. For a few weeks, Utlapa did nothing but make sure that everyone believed he was Taha Aki. Then the changes began —Utlapa's first edict was to forbid any warrior to enter the spirit world. He claimed that he'd had a vision of danger, but really he was afraid. He knew that Taha Aki would be waiting for the chance to tell his story. Utlapa was also afraid to enter the spirit world himself, knowing Taha Aki would quickly claim his body. So his dreams of conquest with a spirit warrior army were impossible, and he sought to content himself with ruling over the tribe. He became a burden — seeking privileges that Taha Aki had never requested, refusing to work alongside his warriors, taking a young second wife and then a third, though Taha Aki's wife lived on — something unheard of in the tribe. Taha Aki watched in helpless fury. Eventually, Taha Aki tried to kill his body to save the tribe from Utlapa's excesses. He brought a fierce wolf down from the mountains, but Utlapa hid behind his warriors. When the wolf killed a young man who was protecting the false chief, Taha Aki felt horrible grief. He ordered the wolf away. All the stories tell us that it was no easy thing to be a spirit warrior. It was more frightening thanexhilarating to be freed from one's body. This is why they only used their magic in times of need. Thechief's solitary journeys to keep watch were a burden and a sacrifice. Being bodiless was disorienting,uncomfortable, horrifying. Taha Aki had been away from his body for so long at this point that he was in agony. He felt he was doomed — never to cross over to the final land where his ancestors waited, stuck in this torturous nothingness forever. The great wolf followed Taha Aki's spirit as he twisted and writhed in agony through the woods. The wolf was very large for its kind, and beautiful. Taha Aki was suddenly jealous of the dumb animal. At least it had a body. At least it had a life. Even life as an animal would be better than this horrible empty consciousness. And then Taha Aki had the idea that changed us all. He asked the great wolf to make room for him, to share. The wolf complied. Taka Aki entered the wolf's body with relief and gratitude. It was not his human body, but it was better than the void of the spirit world. As one, the man and the wolf returned to the village on the harbor. The people ran in fear, shouting for the warriors to come. The warriors ran to meet the wolf with their spears. Utlapa, of course, stayed safely hidden. Taha Aki did not attack his warriors. He retreated slowly from them, speaking with his eyes and trying to yelp the songs of his people. The warriors began to realize that the wolf was no ordinary animal, that there was a spirit influencing it. One older warrior, a man name Yut, decided to disobey the false chief's order and try to communicate with the wolf. As soon as Yut crossed to the spirit world, Taha Aki left the wolf — the animal waited tamely for his return — to speak to him. Yut gathered the truth in an instant, and welcomed his true chief home. At this time, Utlapa came to see if the wolf had been defeated. When he saw Yut lying lifeless on the ground, surrounded by protective warriors, he realized what was happening. He drew his knife and raced forward to kill Yut before he could return to his body. 'Traitor,' he screamed, and the warriors did not know what to do. The chief had forbidden spirit journeys, and it was the chief's decision how to punish those who disobeyed. Yut jumped back into his body, but Utlapa had his knife at his throat and a hand covering his mouth. Taha Aki's body was strong, and Yut was weak with age. Yut could not say even one word to warn the others before Utlapa silenced him forever. Taha Aki watched as Yut's spirit slipped away to the final lands that were barred to Taha Aki for all eternity. He felt a great rage, more powerful than anything he'd felt before. He entered the big wolf again, meaning to rip Utlapa's throat out. But, as he joined the wolf, the greatest magic happened. Taha Aki's anger was the anger of a man. The love he had for his people and the hatred he had for their oppressor were too vast for the wolf's body, too human. The wolf shuddered, and — before the eyes of the shocked warriors and Utlapa — transformed into a man. The new man did not look like Taha Aki's body. He was far more glorious. He was the flesh interpretation of Taha Aki's spirit. The warriors recognized him at once, though, for they had flown with Taha Aki's spirit. Utlapa tried to run, but Taha Aki had the strength of the wolf in his new body. He caught the thief and crushed the spirit from him before he could jump out of the stolen body. The people rejoiced when they understood what had happened. Taha Aki quickly set everything right, working again with his people and giving the young wives back to their families. The only change he kept in place was the end of the spirit travels. He knew that it was too dangerous now that the idea of stealing a life was there. The spirit warriors were no more. From that point on, Taha Aki was more than either wolf or man. They called him Taha Aki the Great Wolf, or Taha Aki the Spirit Man. He led the tribe for many, many years, for he did not age. When danger threatened, he would resume his wolf-self to fight or frighten the enemy. The people dwelt in peace. Taha Aki fathered many sons, and some of these found that, after they had reached the age of manhood, they, too, could transform into wolves. The wolves were all different, because they were spirit wolves and reflected the man they were inside."

"So that's why Sam is all black," Quil muttered under his breath, grinning. "Black heart, black fur."

"And your chocolate fur reflects what?" Sam whispered back to Quil. "How sweet you are?"

Dad decided to ignored them as he contiuned, "Some of the sons became warriors with Taha Aki, and they no longer aged. Others, who did not like the transformation, refused to join the pack of wolf-men. These began to age again, and the tribe discovered that the wolf-men could grow old like anyone else if they gave up their spirit wolves. Taha Aki had lived the span of three old men's lives. He had married a third wife after the deaths of the first two, and found in her his true spirit wife. Though he had loved the others, this was something else. He decided to give up his spirit wolf so that he would die when she did. That is how the magic came to us, but it is not the end of the story. . . ."

He finsihed thte legend and Old Quil started preparing for his while dad was drinking some water.

"That was the story of the spirit warriors," Old Quil began in a thin tenor voice. "This is the story of the third wife's sacrifice. Many years after Taha Aki gave up his spirit wolf, when he was an old man, trouble began in the north, with the Makahs. Several young women of their tribe had disappeared, and they blamed it on the neighboring wolves, who they feared and mistrusted. The wolf-men could still read each other's thoughts while in their wolf forms, just like their ancestors had while in their spirit forms. They knew that none of ttheir number was to blame. Taha Aki tried to pacify the Makah chief, but there was too much fear. Taha Aki did not want to have a war on his hands. He was no longer a warrior to lead his people. He charged his oldest wolf-son, Taha Wi, with finding the true culprit before hostilities began. Taha Wi led the five other wolves in his pack on a search through the mountains, looking for any evidence of the missing Makahs. They came across something they had never encountered before — a
strange, sweet scent in the forest that burned their noses to the point of pain."

Bella moved closer to Jake and you could see on his face how much he was enjoying this. We're never going to hear the end of it on patrols.

"They did not know what creature would leave such a scent, but they followed it," Old Quil continued with an edge of urgency in his voice, "They found faint traces of human scent, and human blood, along the trail. They were sure this was the enemy they were searching for. The journey took them so far north that Taha Wi sent half the pack, the younger ones, back to the harbor to report to Taha Aki. Taha Wi and his two brothers did not return. The younger brothers searched for their elders, but found only silence. Taha Aki mourned for his sons. He wished to avenge his sons' death, but he was old. He went to the Makah chief in his mourning clothes and told him everything that had happened. The Makah chief believed his grief, and tensions ended between the tribes. A year later, two Makah maidens disappeared from their homes on the same night. The Makahs called on the Quileute wolves at once, who found the same sweet stink all through the Makah village. The wolves went on the hunt again. Only one came back. He was Yaha Uta, the oldest son of Taka Aki's third wife, and the youngest in the pack. He brought something with him that had never been seen in all the days of the Quileutes — a strange, cold, stony corpse that he carried in pieces. All who were of Taha Aki's blood, even those who had never been wolves, could smell the piercing smell of the dead creature. This was the enemy of the Makahs. Yaha Uta described what had happened: he and his brothers had found the creature, who looked like a man but was hard as a granite rock, with the two Makah daughters. One girl was already dead, white and bloodless on the ground. The other was in the creature's arms, his mouth at her throat. She may have been alive when they came upon the hideous scene, but the creature quickly snapped her neck and tossed her lifeless body to the ground when they approached. His white lips were covered in her blood, and his eyes glowed red. Yaha Uta described the fierce strength and speed of the creature. One of his brothers quickly became a victim when he underestimated that strength. The creature ripped him apart like a doll. Yaha Uta and his other brother were more wary. They worked together, coming at the creature from the sides, outmaneuvering it. They had to reach the very limits of their wolf strength and speed, something that had never been tested before. The creature was hard as stone and cold as ice. They found that only their teeth could damage it. They began to rip small pieces of the creature apart while it fought them. But the creature learned quickly, and soon was matching their maneuvers. It got its hands on Yaha Uta's brother. Yaha Uta found an opening on the creature's throat, and he lunged. His teeth tore the head off the creature, but the hands continued to mangle his brother. Yaha Uta ripped the creature into unrecognizable chunks, tearing pieces apart in a desperate attempt to save his brother. He was too late, but, in the end, the creature was destroyed.Or so they thought. Yaha Uta laid the reeking remains out to be examined by the elders. One severed hand lay beside a piece of the creature's granite arm. The two pieces touched when the elders poked them with sticks, and the hand reached out towards the arm piece, trying to reassemble itself. Horrified, the elders set fire to the remains. A great cloud of choking, vile smoke polluted the air. When there was nothing but ashes, they separated the ashes into many small bags and spread them far and wide — some in the ocean, some in the forest, some in the cliff caverns. Taha Aki wore one bag around hisneck, so he would be warned if the creature ever tried to put himself together again."

Dad pulled out a small leather pouch that he had had hanginf around his neck. Gasps erupted from around us including Bella and Autumn who was watching very intently at the speakers dispite her eyes droopy eyelids.

After dad's display Old Quil continued again, "They called it The Cold One, the Blood Drinker, and lived in fear that it was not alone. They only had one wolf protector left, young Yaha Uta. They did not have long to wait. The creature had a mate, another blood drinker, who came to the Quileutes seeking revenge. The stories say that the Cold Woman was the most beautiful thing human eyes had ever seen. She looked like the goddess of the dawn when she entered the village that morning; the sun was shining for once, and it glittered off her white skin and lit the golden hair that flowed down to her knees. Her face was magical in its beauty, her eyes black in her white face. Some fell to their knees to worship her. She asked something in a high, piercing voice, in a language no one had ever heard. The people were dumbfounded, not knowing how to answer her. There was none of Taha Aki's blood among the witnesses but one small boy. He clung to his mother and screamed that the smell was hurting his nose. One of the elders, on his way to council, heard the boy and realized what had come among them. He yelled for the people to run. She killed him first. There were twenty witnesses to the Cold Woman's approach. Two survived, only because she grew distracted by the blood, and paused to sate her thirst. They ran to Taha Aki, who sat in counsel with the other elders, his sons, and his third wife. Yaha Uta transformed into his spirit wolf as soon as he heard the news. He went to destroy the blood drinker alone. Taha Aki, his third wife, his sons, and his elders followed behind him. At first they could not find the creature, only the evidence of her attack. Bodies lay broken, a few drained of blood, strewn across the road where she'd appeared. Then they heard the screams and hurried to the harbor. A handful of the Quileutes had run to the ships for refuge. She swam after them like a shark, and broke the bow of their boat with her incredible strength. When the ship sank, she caught those trying to swim away and broke them, too. She saw the great wolf on the shore, and she forgot the fleeing swimmers. She swam so fast she was a blur and came, dripping and glorious, to stand before Yaha Uta. She pointed at him with one white finger and asked another incomprehensible question. Yaha Uta waited. It was a close fight. She was not the warrior her mate had been. But Yaha Uta was alone — there was no one to distract her fury from him. When Yaha Uta lost, Taha Aki screamed in defiance. He limped forward and shifted into an ancient, white-muzzled wolf. The wolf was old, but this was Taha Aki the Spirit Man, and his rage made him strong. The fight began again. Taha Aki's third wife had just seen her son die before her. Now her husband fought, and she had no hope that he could win. She'd heard every word the witnesses to the slaughter had told the council. She'd heard the story of Yaha Uta's first victory, and knew that his brother's diversion had saved him. The third wife grabbed a knife from the belt of one of the sons who stood beside her. They were all young sons, not yet men, and she knew they would die when their father failed.The third wife ran toward the Cold Woman with the dagger raised high. The Cold Woman smiled, barely distracted from her fight with the old wolf. She had no fear of the weak human woman or the knife that would not even scratch her skin, and she was about to deliver the death blow to Taha Aki. And then the third wife did something the Cold Woman did not expect. She fell to her knees at the blood drinker's feet and plunged the knife into her own heart. Blood spurted through the third wife's fingers and splashed against the Cold Woman. The blood drinker could not resist the lure of the fresh blood leaving the third wife's body. Instinctively, she turned to the dying woman, for one second entirely consumed by thirst. Taha Aki's teeth closed around her neck. That was not the end of the fight, but Taha Aki was not alone now. Watching their mother die, two young sons felt such rage that they sprang forth as their spirit wolves, though they were not yet men. With their father, they finished the creature. Taha Aki never rejoined the tribe. He never changed back to a man again. He lay for one day beside the body of the third wife, growling whenever anyone tried to touch her, and then he went into the forest and never returned. Trouble with the cold ones was rare from that time on. Taha Aki's sons guarded the tribe until their sons were old enough to take their places. There were never more than three wolves at a time. It was enough. Occasionally a blood drinker would come through these lands, but they were taken by surprise, not expecting the wolves. Sometimes a wolf would die, but never were they decimated again like that first time. They'd learned how to fight the cold ones, and they passed the knowledge on, wolf mind to wolf mind, spirit to spirit, father to son. Time passed, and the descendants of Taha Aki no longer became wolves when they reached manhood. Only in a great while, if a cold one was near, would the wolves return. The cold ones always came in ones and twos, and the pack stayed small. A bigger coven came, and your own great-grandfathers prepared to fight them off. But the leader spoke to Ephraim Black as if he were a man, and promised not to harm the Quileutes. His strange yellow eyes gave some proof to his claim that they were not the same as other blood drinkers. The wolves were outnumbered; there was no need for the cold ones to offer a treaty when they could have won the fight. Ephraim accepted. They've stayed true to their side, though their presence does tend to draw in others. And their numbers have forced a larger pack than the tribe has ever seen," Old Quil said, and for one moment his black eyes, all but buried in the wrinkles of skin folded around them, seemed to rest on Bella.

"Except, of course, in Taha Aki's time," he said, and then he sighed. "And so the sons of our tribe again carry the burden and share the sacrifice their fathers endured before them."
All was silent for a long moment. Me and Leah shared a quick glance silently acknowleding that their were female descendants too.

"Burden," Quil scoffed in a low voice. "I think it's cool." Seth nodded his agreement from across the dying fire

Jared flicked a small stone at Quil, and everyone laughed when it made him jump. Small conversations started up again before it was all interuppted from a very loud snore.

Everyone look towards Paul and Autumn who had fallen asleep on his lap some time during the legends.

Jacob started getting Bella ready to go even though she looked like she wasn't paying much attention to anything. More and more people started leaving after that till Paul had to quietly pick Autumn up so we could start making the way back home.

~Time Skip( the next night)~

I was standing in a sea of Vrykolakas they were all surging past me without noticing me standing in the middle of it all. There were so many of them and they just kept coming. You couldn't tell one apart from the other there were just too many. The only thing that stood out from the sea of monsters was a woman with red hair that stood with her back turned to me. That's when I realized that someone was behind me tugging on my arm.

Autumn, was behind me with tears streaming down her face staining her cheeks. Her mouth was moving like she was trying to say something but I couldn't hear her. All the hissing was drowning out everything replace it with the violent sound of hunger. Then an ear-piercing scream came from her mouth causing everything to stop. I tried to grab ahold of her but we are being torn away from each other. I tried struggling again the ones holding me but it was hopeless. No matter how much I fought they were like statutes as I watch Autumn get swallowed by the sea of Vrykolakas

I woke up from my nightmare in a cold sweat and quickly struggle to get out of bed as fast and quiet as possible. Shooting a quick glance at the alarm clock that read 3 am.

"Jake" I whisper shout as soon as I open his door. "Jake, I need your help"

"What?" he said still not fully awake yet

"We need to warn the pack," I say quickly my mind still trying to catch up with its self

"Rosie," He said slowly coming to stand in front of me gripping my shoulders "calm down"

"I can't calm down I have too many things to do" I rambled on

"one thing at a time. What do we have to warn the pack about?" He asked

"Vrykolakas. I don't know how many" I answer

"Vampires. Your talking about vampires right" Jake tried clarifying

"Yeah, I don't know how many. Autumn, we have to get her out of here and we should tell the Cullens " I worry

"First things first go start packing Autumn up and I'll get ahold of sam. ok?" He offered

"ok" I nodded

I went back to my room and start quickly but quietly packing Autumn's things letting my mind start on the rest of the plan. I make sure to grab her knives off the nightstand she would never forgive me if I forgot to Pack those for her. Six in the morning New York time who in their right mind is awake that early? Percy sleeps late. Jason and Piper stay up watching stars. Reyna, Hazel, and Frank are at Camp Jupiter. Annebeth and Leo lose track of time on their projects. Nico is the only chance and he can Autumn out her the fastest.

It's almost funny that Jacob was the calm one in this situation seeing as I have had a lot more experiences with life or death matters but I lose my common sense when it comes to someone hurting Autumn.

I finish stuffing Autumn's duffel bag and fish a Drachma out of the dresser before I make my way to the bathroom.

"O Iris Goddes of Rainbows, please show me, Nico Di Angelo," I say while throwing her toothbrush in the bag.

"Rory, why are you up this early?" Nico asked as soon as the connection went through

"I need you to pick up Autumn" I chose to ignore mentioning that I could see a bit of blonde hair sticking out in the rather dark color scheme of Cabin 13 and the soft snoring that I could only assume belongs to the blonde.

"What's wrong?" he asks struggling to put on something outside of the frame

"Nothing yet but it isn't saved here I'll tell you more later but I just need to get her out of here as soon as you can" I explain

"I'll be there as soon as I get shoes on" He answers still struggling with something that looked like a combat boot

I don't answer I just disconnect the call and pass Jake on the phone to get to the kitchen to grab a notepad and pen. I write the first line wrong three times before I give up trying to write in English in the dark with Dyslexia. I quickly scribble a shortened explanation for the six am wake-up call.

I placed the duffle bag full of things on the table and head back to my room to wake Autumn up.

"Autumn" I whisper gently shaking her awake

"mmhuh" She groans rolling away from me

She's worse at getting up than me I think to myself as I move to scoop her up in my arms with a blanket still around her.

"Rosie when are they getting here?" Jake whispered

"As soon as Nico can win a fight against his shoes" I try to joke

"Grab the bag for him" I nod to the overstuffed duffel bag on the table

Most of the lights were still off so there were so many shadows that I almost didn't notice Nico step out of one of them.

"You don't want to wake her and tell her yourself," Nico asked

"No, just tell her I have to help the pack for a while and she probably misses all of her friends from camp" The last part was to convince myself more than anyone else

"Give him the stuff," I say nodding to Nico so Jake will give him Autumn's things

"it just scribbles" Jake mutters under his breath as he looks at the note

After Nico has the duffle bag secured across his shoulders I try to gently roll Autumn from my arms to his but it wasn't as smooth as I imagined but she still didn't wake up.

"Thank you so much for this" I try to give Nico a hug around the seven-year-old in his arms

"Be safe Rory" He reminds before stepping back into the shadows

"Sam said he'll have a pack meeting tomorrow but for right now bed" Jake orders pointing to my bedroom door.

~(Aurora's Pov)~

"So you knew that broke into Bella's house not just anybody but a Vrykolaka and stole her scent but decided not to tell me until a stupid demigod prophecy dream made me wake up in the middle of the night thinking that all of you were dead" I recap giving Jacob my sternest look.

All of the pack was gathered at Sam's house at seven in the morning to discuss the dream I had. After I explained that dreams for half-bloods meant something and taking extra time to explain to Colin and Brady, the newest members of the pack, what I was and everything Jacob told me about a Vrykolaka that broke into Bella's house a little while ago, and he just conveniently forgot to mention to me.

"We were going to tell you if we found anything out but we didn't" Jacob was still trying to justify treating me like a child and not an equal member of the pack.

"That's enough. Aurora you know now and any information you have please share with the rest of us but for now, you all have school and I can't be responsible for you being late again." Sam ended the pack meeting shooing everyone out the door before leaving for work.

"Don't you have school, Sweetie?" Emily asked noticing that I was the only one left

"I finished high school back at camp and I'm taking a break before I start college to be a Marine Biologist" I explain enjoying talking about something semi-normal for a change.

"Well, you can stay as long as you want but I am going to be late for work so I'll leave you to it" she hurries rummaging around in her purse before pulling out her car keys.

"Oh, It's fine I have a project I'm starting anyway," I say walking out the door with her.

~Time Skip (five hours later)~

After hours of heavy negotiation with a wood nymph named Cedar, I still hadn't gotten anywhere with her letting me use some wood for a practice dummy. So I decided to take a break and crash a school lunch but since I'm still kinda mad at the pack I drove to the only school where I actually know anyone. That is why I just parked the car in Forks High's parking lot and am following the smell of Vrykolakas and food.

"Guess who?" I ask standing behind Bella in the cafeteria

"Rora! It's so good to see you" Bella exclaims jumping up and hugging me.

I sit next to Edward filling the large gap that was between him and the blonde guy who looked glad that there was someone between him and Edward finally.

"Hi, I'm Aurora Black, Jacob Black's younger sister" I introduce myself to the table

I learn that their names are Mike, Jessica, Tyler, Lauren, Ben, and Angela going all around the table before reaching Bella again.

"I've never seen you on the reservation before" Jessica comments almost suspiciously

"I just got home a few months ago I was in a boarding school in New York for the last few years" I answer watching the look on her face turn jealous for a second before she covers it with a fake smile.

I wish I had Edwards powers so I could figure out what she was thinking right now. I bet it's hilarious.

"She's jealous so is Lauren there wondering why you got to live in New York and there stuck in Forks. Angela just wishes she could see the sights" Edward whispers so the only the wolf hearing can pick it up after he read my thoughts

'When Bella's done eating and you guys leave I'm going to ask about the mysterious Cullens that gonna be even better I think so Edward can understand and see him give a small smile before returning to the conversation at the table

A few minutes later Bella and Edward get and leave. I lean in closer to the table knowing that the rest of the Cullens are probably listening to see how this unfolds.

"What is the deal with Bella's boyfriend and his family" I whisper to the group once Edward would be out of human earshot but I know he is still listening

"You don't know?" Jessica asks looking genuinely shocked

"My brother just said something was off but I didn't expect this" I try sounding a little surprised if not scared

"Well the thing is Dr. Cullen adopted them all and they are dating each other it's super weird. Edward was the only single one before Bella came along apparently she's the only girl that lives up to his standards" By the end of Jessica's description of the Cullens it was very hard not to laugh out loud but luckily I controlled myself

"I'm going to go to them," I say acting like I've never met them before which just adds to the fun I'm having

"There very exclusive they wouldn't want you sitting with them" Lauren practically throws in my face making me want to continue the game even more now

"Wish me luck then" I smile before standing up and walking over to their table

Before I even reach the table Alice hops over to me and gives me a tight hug without the use of the vampire strength she has.

"You must be Aurora Bella told me so many great things about you" She smiles playing along with my game and guiding me back to their table.

"Does the mutt have to sit here?" Rosalie glares at me when we sit down

"I just want to have some fun with the mortals I figured you could appreciative that" I smile as she seems to slightly soften at my words

"How is Autumn? Esme just can't wait to see her again" Alice asks in her silvery bell-like voice

"Sadly, Autumn had to head back up to New York I didn't want her around with Bella's intruder still close" I clarify noticing that Jasper was looking at me intently

Just before I was about to ask what was wrong Alice cut in "I believe that is a matter for a private time" she said looking between me and Jasper

"On that note, I must be going I promised dad I would take him to visit Mrs. Clearwater" I pardon myself from the table.

I decided not to stop at Jessica's table and instead just walk right out to the parking lot where it is lightly snowing.

"You smell too sweet to sneak up on me if that was your plan" I turn to see which Vrykolaka was following me surprisingly it was Emmet. The whole lunch he never really looked at me or spoke to me.

"I wasn't trying to sneak up on you. I just wanted to apologize" He sheepishly said

"Apologize for what exactly?" I question him trying to figure out what he could have done seeing as we have only met once before

"What you were saying back at the house about the chosen and the god born. I just wanted to apologize because when I found mine I couldn't control myself like Edward could. I'm sorry" he apologized

"You don't have to apologize honestly if I was mad at everyone who ever killed a half-blood I wouldn't even be able to talk to my own father much less my extended family" I try to make him feel better seeing as I didn't even know the person he killed and half-bloods don't naturally have long lives

"Are you sure?" He asked looking confused as to why I could forgive him

"I'm sure but if you want to make it up to be I could always use a sparring partner" I offer because so far my druid negotiations were going horribly

"That I can do" He laughed

~Time Skip(the next day)~

After two more hours of arguing with Cedar, I finally convinced her that twigs were not going to be enough for a practice dummy. Since I've had time to cool off at the pack today I am crashing Quileute Tribal School's lunch to visit them.

"So this is what you do by yourselves" I walk up to the table where Jake, Paul, Embry, and Quil were seated at.

Embry had his head in his arms on the table and was slightly snoring. Quil was scribbling something down very fast on multiple pieces of paper and Paul and Jake were eating their huge lunches.

"Rosie, what are you doing here?" Jake asked setting his sandwich down

"Taking a break from a stubborn druid" I complain sitting down between Quil and Paul at the table

"Is that why there are leaves in your hair" Paul picked a few out of my hair and set them on the table in front of me

"Yeah, hopefully, tomorrow I can get what I need from her. Patrols?" I asked nodding to Embry who was passed out on the table

"All of last night same reason why Quil doing homework now" Jacob answered look over at Quil who was now flipping through a textbook

"What was that one general's name the one who fought for the union," Quil asked looking up with bags under his eyes

"General Sherman son of Ares" I remember Clarisse and her siblings bragging about him

"I don't think I can put the Ares part on the paper but thank you" Quil went back to writing answers

~Time Skip(the next day)~

"Aurora, this is greek any chance you could help me with it," Embry asks sliding a paper across the table. I watch the words move around the page and change trying to figure out what it says.

"Idiot" Jake smacks Embry on the head "She's dyslexic"

"oh" Embry takes the paperback not knowing what to do because he forgot about my dyslexia

"It's fine just read it to me to see if I can help," I tell wanting to help him still and having nothing better to do while they all eat lunch. I brought Cedar lunch and ate with her hoping that would help. I didn't

"It asking who was the real antagonist is in the legend of Medusa's origin" Embry reads the prompt to me

"She the one with the snake hair" Paul looks over to see Embry nod his confirmation

"and the turning people to stone" Quil adds on looking up from his lunch

"Embry I would love to help but my dad was involved with that and its kinda a touchy subject" I watch as he makes the connection to who my father is and what he did to Medusa.

"I'm so sorry for asking" he quickly apologizes again not knowing what to do

"It's fine, It's just I dont what to make someone mad with my answer" I try to sound neutral even though I know what my father did was horrible and that Medusa was the victim but I can't say that out loud and risk angering the gods.

~Time Skip(the next day)~

I finally got Cedar to give me the wood I need all I had to do was to talk to the pack so they would stop peeing on the trees while they were shifted. Cedar said dealing with regualr wolves was hard enough and she didn't like having wolves ten times the size to deal with. I got my practice dummy all finished at set up behind the house so now i have something to train with so I won't go rusty.

~(Aurora's Pov)~

It felt good to train and work out all the muscles I've been foolishly neglecting. Patrols sort of helped but it felt better as a human.

Sam's been having everyone on double shifts and I've been trying to pick up as many as I can so the boys could focus on the end of the school year but since the school year ended it will be easier. What time I didn't spend on patrols I was wearing out my new practice dummy. One time I went straight from patrols to train and when I sat down for a break I must have fallen asleep because Brady found me and made a joke about me being too tired to even make it home before falling asleep. I had chastised myself the whole walk home for being so careless to fall asleep unprotected in the middle of the woods even though I knew if I hadn't been home in a few hours Jake or Paul would have found me.

I stripped and shoved my clothes into my bag deciding to go for a run as a cool down. As soon as I shifted I mentally connected to Leah and Collin who were on patrols

'where you headed to?'-Leah

'just out for a run'-me

'Bella was over at your house'-Leah

'If I had known I would have stopped by'-me

'I think he's taking her home you could probably catch them at Chief Swan's house'- Collin

'I'll go stop by now, see you guys later'- me

I still wasn't entirely used to having a conversation with someone far away but it seems like they were right next to you.

It only took me about five minutes to reach the Swans' house after I changed directions. I shifted and took my time getting dressed behind a large oak tree. I saw Jake's rabbit and Chief Swan's cruiser in front of the house and walked up just as I was a few steps up the yard a shiny Volvo came speeding to a stop behind me.

Edward didn't seem to care I was there as he stormed past me up to the door. His face looked unnervingly emotionless but I could tell he was mad more than mad he was furious.

Bella opened the door and Edward immediately started looking it over and asking her how it was so I'm assuming she hurt while visiting Jacob.

"Jacob" Edwards still voice called through the house

"what happened," I asked coming up to Bella's other side

"I broke my hand punching your brother," She said looking a little proud of herself while I wondered what my idiot brother could have possibly done to make Bella punch him.

~(Bella's Pov)~

"I don't want any fighting, do you understand?" Charlie looked only at Edward when he spoke. "I can go put my badge on if that makes my request more official."

"That won't be necessary," Edward said in a restrained tone as Rora looked between everyone trying to put everything together because everyone was too caught up in the moment to explain it to her

"Why don't you arrest me, Dad?" I suggested. "I'm the one throwing punches."

Charlie raised an eyebrow. "Do you want to press charges, Jake?" Rora looked worried at the mention of official charges being filed but I'm not sure if it was for me or for her brother

"No." Jacob grinned, incorrigible. "I'll take the trade any day."
Edward grimaced.

"Dad, don't you have a baseball bat somewhere in your room? I want to borrow it for a minute."
Charlie looked at me evenly. "Enough, Bella."

"Let's go have Carlisle look at your hand before you wind up in a jail cell," Edward said. He put his arm around me and pulled me toward the door.

"Fine," I said, leaning against him. I wasn't so angry anymore, now that Edward was with me. I felt comforted, and my hand didn't bother me as much. Rora followed behind us probably to try to find the full story out.

We were walking down the sidewalk when I heard Charlie whispering anxiously behind me.
"What are you doing? Are you crazy?"

"Give me a minute, Charlie," Jacob answered. "Don't worry, I'll be right back."

I looked back and Jacob was following us, stopping to close the door in Charlie's surprised and uneasy face. Edward ignored him at first, leading me to the car. He helped me inside, shut the door, and then turned to face Jacob on the sidewalk. I leaned anxiously through the open window. Charlie was visible in the house, peeking through the drapes in the living room.

Jacob stood casually in front of Edward with his jaw clenched shut.

Edward spoke in a voice so peaceful and gentle that it made the words strangely more threatening. "I'm not going to kill you now because it would upset Bella." Rora reached for her bracelet at the thought of someone killing her family.

"Hmph," I grumbled.

Edward turned slightly to throw me a quick smile. His face was still calm. "It would bother you in the morning," he said, brushing his fingers across my cheek.

Then he turned back to Jacob. "But if you ever bring her back damaged again - and I don't care
whose fault it is; I don't care if she merely trips, or if a meteor falls out of the sky and hits her in the head - if you return her to me in less than the perfect condition that I left her in, you will be running with three legs. Do you understand that, mongrel?" Jacob rolled his eyes.

"Who's going back?" I muttered.

Edward continued as if he hadn't heard me. "And if you ever kiss her again, I will break your jaw for her," he promised, his voice still gentle and velvet and deadly.

"What if-" Jake started arrogantly before his sister interrupted him.

"You kissed each other?" Rora looked at me for confirmation

"I didn't have much choice in the matter" I spat directed more at Jacob than her.

I watched at her face as it dawned with realization about what happened. Edward looked at her with a small smile on his face taking his eyes off Jacob for a second. Then her fist connected with Jacob's face and a sickening crack went through the air but unlike when I punched him the sound came from his jaw and not her hand. She looked like she was about to punch him again but he practically ran back to his car instead.

Rora had gotten into the backseat of the Volvo and kept apologizing about what her brother did and how she should have been there to stop it.

Edward drove around the house to the garage. Emmett and Rosalie were there, Rosalie's perfect legs, recognizable even sheathed in jeans, were sticking out from under the bottom of Emmett's huge Jeep. Emmett was sitting beside her, one hand reached under the Jeep toward her. It took me a moment to realize that he was acting as the jack holding the car up for her to work on it. They both stiffed for a second probably smelling Rora before they recognized it as her and not some other wolf.

Emmett watched curiously as Edward helped me carefully out of the car. His eyes zeroed in on the hand I cradled against my chest so I didn't jostle it.
Emmett grinned. "Fall down again, Bella?"

I glared at him fiercely. "No, Emmett. I punched a werewolf in the face."

Emmett blinked and then burst into a roar of laughter.

As Edward led me past them, Rosalie spoke from under the car. "Jasper's going to win the bet," she said smugly. Emmett's laughter stopped at once, and he studied me with appraising eyes.

"What bet?" I demanded, pausing.

"Let's get you to Carlisle," Edward urged. He was staring at Emmett. His head shook infinitesimally.

"What bet?"I insisted as I turned on him

"Thanks, Rosalie," he muttered as he tightened his arm around my waist and pulled me toward the house.
"Edward . . . ," I grumbled

"It's infantile," he shrugged. "Emmett and Jasper like to gamble."

"Emmett will tell me." I tried to turn, but his arm was like iron around me

He sighed. "They're betting on how many times you . . . slip up in the first year."

"Oh." I grimaced, trying to hide my sudden horror as I realized what he meant. "They have a bet about how many people I'll kill?"

"Yes," he admitted unwillingly. "Rosalie thinks your temper will turn the odds in Jasper's favor."
I felt a little high. "Jasper's betting high."

"It will make him feel better if you have a hard time adjusting. He's tired of being the weakest link."

"Sure. Of course, it will. I guess I could throw in a few extra homicides if it makes Jasper happy. Why not?" I was babbling, my voice a blank monotone. In my head, I was seeing newspaper headlines, lists of names. . . .

He squeezed me. "You don't need to worry about it now. In fact, you don't have to worry about it ever, if you don't want to."

I groaned, and Edward, thinking it was the pain in my hand that bothered me, pulled me faster toward the house.

My hand was broken, but there wasn't any serious damage, just a tiny fissure in one knuckle. I didn't want a cast, and Carlisle said I'd be fine in a brace if I promised to keep it on. I promised. Edward could tell I was out of it as Carlisle worked to fit a brace carefully to my hand. He worried aloud a few times that I was in pain, but I assured him that that wasn't it.

"Where did Rora go?" Just now getting out of my own mind long enough to notice that she wasn't there anymore

"She's still in the garage I can hear her from here" Edward started guiding me back that way till even I could hear the yelling.

Rosalie was sitting on the ground with her tools still in her hand, Emmet had put the jeep back on the ground, and Jasper had also made his way to the garage and was leaning against the jeep all of them looking like they were enjoying watching as Rora paced back in forth yelling in another language. I couldn't understand the words she was shouting but they were definitely angry.

"What is she saying?" I ask Edward over the yelling hoping for a translation

"There is a lot of cursing and swearing, very vividly describing what she's going to do to Jacob when she gets home and something about not being able to actually date her imprint" Edward answered smiling probably from all the things he was seeing in Rora's mind.

"Almost makes you feel bad for him" I smiled up at Edward "Almost but not quite"

~Time Skip~

~(Aurora's Pov)~

Edward had thanked me for punching Jacob because he couldn't without causing issues with the treaty and I had promised Bella that I would make sure that Jacob never did anything like that again. She had also invited me to her graduation party saying she was planning on doing it soon anyway.

I ran back to the house as fast as I could after leaving the Cullen's and practically threw my clothes on not bothering to put my shoes or Tsunami on. Jake was sitting on the lawn fiddling with some wooden thing in his hand. Stupid werewolf healing I wished he would have to deal with a broken jaw more than a few minutes, guess I'll have to just give him more injuries to make up for it.

"YOU ARE A COMPLETE JERK!" I yell outraged as I throw my bag at him which he easily caught and placed next to him

"Rosie, let me explain" He stood up with his hand in front of him

"What is there to explain? Did you kiss Bella?" I asked him accusingly stopping a few feet from him

"Yes" He had the nerve to look proud of the fact

"Did she want you to? Did she try to stop you?" I kept yelling "She has a boyfriend and what because he's a vrykolaka you thought you the right to kiss her? Did you even think about what she wanted? She made her choose to deal with it"

Jacob had started shaking sometime during my rant but I honestly didn't care he needed to deal with the consequences of what he did. He shifted when I was even halfway done and I wasn't going to let him get out of it that easily so I shifted too.

'What are you going to do now?"-me

'She shouldn't be with him. She can't be with him. She belongs with me'-Jacob

I had had enough at this point. It was Bella's choice and kissing her without her permission was not going to change her choice. I lunged at his back but he threw me off and tried pinning me to the ground before I kicked him off. He was stronger and bigger but he had never actually fought anyone not like I have and even though I have a different body to work with I still knew more than him.

'What are they doing?'- Collin

Leah and he must still be on patrols but I couldn't focus on that because now me and Jacob were snapping at each other's throats.

'I'll go deal with it you stay'- Leah

Before any blood could be drawn Leah got between us and broke up the fight. Leah didn't have to ask why we were fighting because she could see into our heads and she clearly took my side from the way she growled at Jacob. She made us shift back and get changed saying that Collin was still too young to be on Patrols by himself which all of us could agree on.

"Why would kiss her you idiot," I ask him after we had both gotten dressed and meet outside again so I could get my shoes

"She needs to change her mind she can't stay with him" He repeats himself from earlier.

"Why do you act like her life depends on it?" I mean honestly how thick-headed can he be

"They didn't tell you, of course, they didn't" Jake scoffs

"Tell me what could possibly justify your actions" There is nothing I can think of to make what he did better

"She's going to become one of them" He looks more angry than sad about the fact

"That's... That's it she wants to become a vrykolaka" That cannot possibly be whats made my brother go crazy

"That's all you have to say how are you not mad you friend is going to become one of those things" He threw his arms in the air

"It's her choice even if I don't agree with it" I hope Bella knows all of what she's doing before she fully commits to it

"How can you be so calm? I would rather see her dead than turned into one of those bloodsuckers" He was definitely angry now

"You say that but you have not lost as much as me. You would rather never talk to her again never be able to laugh or joke or spend time with her ever again. You would rather have to go to her funeral and watch as Chief Swan, her mother, and her step-father lay their only child into her grave. You would rather lose the girl you claim to love than watch her be happy and have a life with the man that she loves." He doesn't say anything in response he just looks at me with a stubborn look in his eyes.

I turn away from the house and grab my bag from where it is still on the ground before walking back into the forest. I don't know where I'm going but I know that I can't be around my brother for the moment.

~(Aurora's Pov)~

I haven't talked to Jake in two days after our fight and neither of us has made any move to change that. Bella called to give me the information but Jake had gotten to the phone before me and she refused to talk to him. She called to give me the times for the graduation party and to warn me about Alice's dress standards. I felt weird not wearing something I can't easily fight in but it's only for a little while and I made sure to have all the essentials.

"Rora I'm so glad you could make it" Bella came up to me and hugged me with her brace-free hand.

"I wouldn't miss your party" I hug her back

"Ra, good to see you" Alice practically tackled me in a hug and leaned in close "I couldn't smell you what'd you do" she whispered to me

I didn't want to insult my vrykolakas hosts so I might have tried using a little nectar as perfume to help cover my scent. Good to know it works I'll have to tell Chiron that next time I call.

"Something new I'm trying to blend in" I happily responded

"Well, it's working" she smiled "now Bella you must mingle. No hiding in corners"

'Help me' Bella mouthed to me while being lead away by Alice

I talked to a few people and walked around having a good time till I smelt some of my pack coming. Apparently Jake decided that it would be a good idea for him, Embry, and Quil to come to the party despite what happened to him and Bella. Jacob made his way to Bella who was on the other side of the room and left Embry and Quil at the door. Honestly, did he think it was a good idea to bring them to a vrykolakas house when they weren't used to it and when there were mortals around?

"Let's head outside for a second" I walked up to them and pried Embry's hand off the door before he shifted and scared everyone.

"We can't leave Jake alone" Quil tried to protest but still followed not handling it much better than Embry was.

"Here" I dabbed a little nectar on their fingers to put under their noses.

"What is this?" Quil asked

"It'll help with the smell so you don't shift just don't drink. Not even a little you'll die horribly and I can't explain that to Sam" I tell them while Embry's heavy breathing slows down.

They both listen to me and seem to calm down a little bit before following me back inside.

We made it back to the doorway almost as soon as Jake looked our way and gave us a look to come over. The look was more directed at Embry and Quill but I still followed because he had Bella next to him and she needed somebody there. It was weird that she was by herself especially with Jake so close. now that I look around all the vrykolakas were gone from the party.

"I forgave him Rora stop looking like you're about to kill somebody" Bella smiled but tugged me a little closer still.

"I'll punch him again if you want me to" I joked and relaxed a little

"Nevermind that. Explain. Now" Jake said getting to the point whatever that point was.

"I don't quite have all the information" Bella tried avoiding the question that was more like a demand. She called out to Alice as soon as she saw her on the stairs. Alice looked mad when she saw the other wolves surrounding Bella but seemed glad I was there too.

Alice tried pulling Bella away to talk but Jake decided to block their path with his arm. Honestly, sometimes I question if my brother's smart antagonizing a vrykolakas in her home with her coven close by with only three other wolves with him in a room full of innocent people no less.

"Tell us what's going on," he demanded in a growl. Then Jasper suddenly appeared next to us because the solution to this is more people. Jake at least had the common sense to move his arm before something happened to it.

"We have a right to know," Jacob muttered, still glaring at Alice.

Jasper made his way between Jake and Alice which made everyone tenser than they already were.

"Let's not forget this is a party, guys" Bella tried breaking the tension but it didn't work.

"It's okay, Jasper. He actually has a point." Alice turned weirdly calm all of a sudden but the didn't change how Jasper looked prepared to attack my brother. Embry and Quil's hands were shaking again the nectar not helping this time.

"What did you see?" Bella asked Alice

"The decision's been made," Alice stated

"You're going to Seattle?" Bella asked again

"No. They're coming here" Bella was swaying looking like she was about to be sick so I put a hand out to steady her. Everyone's attention snapped to me as I would actually hurt here.

"Really people I'm like the last person who would hurt Bella" I really shouldn't be surprised that everyone was focused on making sure Bella wasn't hurt. She hurts herself enough on her own she doesn't help.

"To Forks?" Bella asked and Alice nodded.

"For?"

"They had your shirt Bella" Alice looked kinda sad with what she answered but at least she knew what was going on

"We can't let them come that far. There aren't enough of us to protect the town." Jasper finally talked but looked like he rather us wolves didn't hear it.

"I know," Alice said, her face suddenly desolate. "But it doesn't matter where we stop them. There still won't be enough of us, and some of them will come here to search."

Bella seemed scared, really scared, and was saying something about leaving town and getting what they wanted but Alice kept telling her it wouldn't work. Finally, Jake got annoyed enough and he demanded to know what was happening.

Alice turned her icy gaze on him. "Our kind. Lots of them."

"Why?" Jake practically growled

"For Bella. That's all we know." All of our gazes flicked to Bella before returning back to the resident prophet

"There are too many for you?" he asked.

Jasper bridled. "We have a few advantages, dog. It will be an even fight." Great, they were moving to insults now.

Jacob smiled at the prospect of killing vrykolakas because of course that what he would be thinking "No, it won't be even"

"Excellent!" Alice hissed.

"Everything just disappeared, of course. That's inconvenient, but, all things considered, I'll take it." Seeing Alice and Jacob smile at each other is kinda a disturbing sight, seeing as they were just about to rip each other to shreds. At least we know that the wolves will help with the other vrykolakas that apparently coming into town for Bella. It would be kinda nice if Alice could still know what happened.

Alice and Jake both seemed excited and were planning to meet later in the night with everyone else to plan better while Bella tried desperately to stop them. Not to lie the thought of it sounded fun and it would be the whole Cullen family and the whole pack against twenty-one vrykolakas shouldn't be a problem. Almost a fair fight excluding Cody and Brady because they are way too young to fight if they don't have to. Now the only problem is going to be trying to convince Jake and Paul to let me help because there is no way I'm letting them keep me out of this especially if it's to help Bella.

~(Bella's Pov)~

The wolves came through the clearing. I had forgotten how tall they were and how dangerous they looked. Everyone looked tense and on edge about the whole situation. Edward said there were eleven of them but I could only see ten of them unless they were hiding someone.

"Edward, who's missing?" I tried to figure it out for myself .

"Look at Jacob and Paul," he said pointing the two wolves out to me "there upset because Sam just gave Ra permission to shift back"

"I'm guessing they're not happy about that" The two wolves did look agitated and kept looking back into the forest behind them.

"They really aren't" Edward smiled

"It's really pointless to whisper when everyone here has super hearing," Rora said coming out of the clearing and standing between Jake and Paul who seemed to have calmed down a little bit at least.

She was wearing an almost obnoxiously bright orange shirt with a horse that had wings on it and a pair of yoga-like pants. She also had a bag in her hand that sounded like it was full of metal when it moved.

After Rora's entrance was over everyone seemed to go back to the weird sort of stand-off they were doing.

"Welcome," Calrise took a careful step forward with a greeting trying to break the tension.

"Thank You" Edward responded in a weird detached voice apparently already in his role of translator.

"We will watch and listen, but no more. That is the most we can ask of our self-control. Aurora is only permitted to stay human because I decided that her fighting in human form would be better since she is experienced with it" Edward again translated for the leader of the wolves.

"That is more than enough," Carlisle answered. "My son Jasper" he gestured to where Jasper "has experience in this area. He will teach us how they fight, how they are to be defeated. I'm sure you can apply this to your own hunting and fighting styles."

Rora kept rolling back onto heels like she couldn't wait to actually start with the lesson. It makes sense I remember her asking everyone to spar with her. I doubt any of them agreed because I know how protective her brother can be.

Carlise and Sam continued going over some of the details with Edward translating of course. When Jasper took a step forward the wolves all laid down one at a time to watch. Rora sat down but she still looked antsy to get to the fighting part already.

"They'll fight like children. The two most important things you'll need to remember are, first, don't let them get their arms around you and, second, don't go for the obvious kill. That's all they'll be prepared for. As long as you come at them from the side and keep moving, they'll be too confused to respond effectively. Emmett?" Jasper started the lesson.

Jasper positioned himself so the wolves had a clearer view of what was about to happen as Emmet stepped into the kinda circle smiling.

"Okay, Emmett first. He's the best example of a newborn attack." Jasper said

"I'll try not to break anything" Emmet muttered, narrowing his eyes

"What I meant is that Emmett relies on his strength. He's very straightforward about the attack. The newborns won't be trying anything subtle, either. Just go for the easy kill, Emmett." Jasper grinned

"Okay, Emmett, try to catch me." Jasper took a few steps back preparing himself

They both moved impossibly fast but I could still tell that Jasper was moving faster because every time Emmet tried to grab him Jasper was already gone. Then Emmet stopped moving and I could clearly make out both of them. Emmet had stopped mind because Jasper had his teeth an inch away from his throat. Emmet was not happy about that and tried to get a redo but Edward had claimed it was his turn.

"In a minute." Jasper grinned, stepping back. "I want to show Bella something first." I watched worriedly as he moved Alice forward.

"I know you worry about her," he explained to me as she danced blithely into the ring. "I want to show you why that's not necessary." Alice closed her eyes and soon they were both moving fast around the circle like a game of chase with Jasper always ending up short trying to catch her. Their dance-like fighting ended when Alice was on top of Jasper's shoulder and was able to kiss his throat.

The wolves did not seem to like Alice's display of how she used her powers to her advantage in fights. All except Rora, of course, she was drumming her fingers against her knee but in her eyes, she was watching everything. I can only imagine what sort of plan she was forming already because by the looks of it she was studying everyone, not just the Cullens but the wolves too.

"It's good for them to learn some respect, except Ra she's trying to figure how to get her brother to let her fight '' Edward murmured, amused. "My turn" he raised his voice

~(Aurora's Pov)~

The whole pack watched as the Cullens took turns fighting Jasper and I knew they were watching more than to just know how to fight the newborns because that was exactly what I was doing. Even though I trust the Cullens it's never a bad idea to have a backup plan because friends can always turn on you.

Jasper invited us back tomorrow night and I was disappointed after all the arguments I had with Jake and Paul not to just let me come but to be human and I didn't even get to fight anyone.

Jake bumped me telling me to shift and it wasn't just because he was being paranoid. We figured that since I would be fighting as a human and have no connection to the mind link then they should have a sign so I knew when they needed me to shift.

I stood up and quickly stripped in the woods to shift stuffing my stuff in the bag I had hidden in a tree after the plans were made at the party.

'Sam's having us scent the Cullens'-Paul

I still wasn't used to the whole pack mind thing. It was hard to explain. It was like I was seeing what everyone else was thinking but specific thoughts like trying to get a message to someone were clear. It was also possible to have a conversation while other people were talking but it was like talking in a crowded room where you could hear what other people were talking about but you just chose not to pay attention to it.

' Wouldn't want any of you to "accidentally" hurt one of them would we'- Me

'Exactly'- Paul smiled a wolfy grin

I watched Bella as Sam, Leah, and Seth started smelling the Cullens first. It looked like she was trying to figure out who was who. Of course, as soon as my idiot brother saw his crush watching he decided to go over and make a fool of himself.

'Trying to show off lover boy'- Me

'Shut up, Rosie'- Jake'

Everyone knew he was trying to make Edward jealous. There are definitely bad things about being able to look into your brother's mind when he was crushing on one of your friends. I try to drown those things out but times like these when I can see it through everyone else's minds too were one of the times where that was not possible.

I watched Jake lick Bella's face and then start laughing at her disgust before I had enough. I broke out of the line too and went over to where they were caught up in their own world. I nipped at Jake a little before sitting down in front of Bella.

"Rora?" she asked looking at my eyes

I kinda bark back. It is very hard to talk through barks and howls and embarrassing at the same time when they come out all weird.

I was one of the taller wolves but I was still shorter than Sam and Jake so I could come almost face to face with Bella while sitting down.

I lifted up my head up to the sky so that Bella would hopefully see the aura-dampener and recognize me. She must have seen the metal part because she slowly put her hand out and dug the rest of the necklace out of my fur.

"You know I'm gonna ask you more about this later, right?" She looked at me

I shook my head in what I hoped was a knowing way before Paul barked and I started making my way back to him. He was still waiting in the line that had more or less dissolved. I playfully nudged him as I made my way to stand next to him.

The pack started retreating into the woods Leaving my lovesick brother with Bella. The only reason I trusted him around her was that all of the Cullens were there and I knew they could restrain him. Sam didn't really order it; it was more like something he thought and shared with the rest of us.

The pack started breaking up as we got closer to the reserve, everyone heading to their own homes because vrykolakas killing class was over for today. Hopefully, they will actually let us join the fighting tomorrow night.

~(Aurora's Pov)~

While the pack was getting ready for their second day of instruction from Jasper we learned that because of our elevated body temperature we burn off coffee really fast. It was very sad everyone was drinking individual pots of coffee to stay awake and still yawning. Unlike me who was able to take a shower and come out feeling wide awake. Because of that discovery, Sma decided that only a few of us had to go today seeing as we could just share what we learned over the pack link. Jake was charged with going in Sam's steed and Embry and Quil volunteered to join. It was basically a given that I was going to go and Paul came to be with me. As the five of us ran to the clearing everyone was trying their best to stay awake so the Vrykolakas did not see us at anything less than a hundred percent.

We all got positioned and I shifted back to go wait for the rest of the Cullen plus Bella to get there. I decided to leave my bag of armor at home because from watching the demonstrations last night it seemed like agility would be more of an advantage than bulk. I only had my hair in a ponytail for practice but for when the actual fight day go there I planned on having someone braid it up so it would be out of the way.

When Bella and Edward finally got there they took a while to talk but we kept ourselves busy watching Emmet and Jasper playfight in the center. Jacob's mind was instantly filled with thoughts of Bella as soon as he saw her. Honestly, the best description is a lovesick puppy despite the irony.

Jake went over to talk to Bella or more like talk to Bella through Edward.

"So you gonna freak out if I spar today?" I asked Paul who was waiting next to me.

He couldn't respond but he gave me a look that I figured meant he would do exactly that even if I told him it was fine.

"You're impossible" I sighed

"Look at him acting like an idiot" I pointed over to Jacob who was currently letting Bella use him as a pillow and loving every second of it.

I swear if a wolf could facepalm that was what Paul would be doing looking over at the pair.

"I'm so glad I don't have to hear what he is thinking right now" I truly was. Paul whined in response

Jake wouldn't even be able to see the fighting from where he was sat which was the whole point of coming. Honestly, I don't know why he is second-in-command when his main priority is fostering his unrequited crush.

"So today we will be going over multiple attackers and how to defend against them" Jasper started the lesson. "First I'll have Rosalie and Carlise attack and I will show you how to defend"

It was amazing to watch how Jasper was able to avoid the other two Vrykolakas attacked and even trip them up on the process.

"Ok now that I have demonstrated it is someone else's turn, Ra," Jasper said looking at me "I will let you choose Emmet and I or Edward and Emmet," he asked

"Why not all three" I smiled. Oh, this was gonna be fun

Paul was less excited and moved to a crouching position to attack if need be. Everyone turned to look at the four of us in the center even jake who looked like he had a sleeping Bella on him.

They were all smiling as they stepped forward and I unleashed Tsunami.

"Well, come on boys I don't have all night" I teased them because they were taking a while.

"Just giving you a chance to back out, a god born" Emmet joked

"And miss beating you all never" I changed my grip on my sword.

They must have been waiting because all at once they charged me with Jasper coming in first. I was able to jump up in time to push off his outstretched hand and kick-off. But Edward saw what I was thinking about it and grabbed ahold of my foot midair and pulled me back down. As I was falling Emmet tried to lunge at me but I butted him in the nose with the hilt of my sword. He grabbed his nose as I hit the ground and rolled away.

"That all you got boys" I laugh as they plan the next attack

I tried clearing my mind so I wouldn't give anything away to Edward. They tried a different tactic and all circled me before they charged. I swung Tsunami and was able to keep them at bay for a little while but Jasper grabbed the sword and spun it so my back was to his chest with the sword between me and his arms. I remember his lesson about not letting them get their arms around you though so I quickly dug the edge of the sword into his arm and pulled my weight down to through him over my shoulders. As he was falling forward I swung Tsunami to be under his neck and cut just a little bit of his hair off. Emmet and Edward didn't waste any time though and we're already reaching for me again. The mind-reading was really getting on my nerves so it was time to distract him. I started thinking of Bella falling and hurting herself while watching us and things that I knew would distract him. It worked because for a second I was able to trip him up using the water on the ground. I took advantage of his momentary loss of traction and shoulder slammed him as hard as I could into Emmet. They both toppled for a second but Edward got up just as fast. I again had another Cullens throat by my sword though because Emmet did not recover in time.

"Two down one to go, you're next" I smiled at Edward

"I was going easy on you before now you're in trouble," Edward said back

Using Bella wasn't gonna work again also I had to come up with a new way of distracting him. I decided that this time I was gonna focus on the fights that I had previously been in. I saw him smile because he thought my plan figured out after he failed to grab me the second time in a row he realized I was messing with I him. Instead of copying my old moves, I was using the moves of my opponents. He still hadn't figured it out though and I was able to spin onto the top of his shoulders and grasp Tsunami across his throat.

The wolves howled as I shouted celebrating my victory as I climbed off Edward's shoulders. He helped me get down but then swept my legs out from under me when I was on the ground.

"I'll beat you again" I joked grabbing his outstretched hand and we both laughed.

I walked back over to Paul to sit down and he happily licked my face like there was any doubt that I would lose.

"That was a perfect example of what to do in that scenario although next time less trash-talking, Ra" Jasper mock glared at me his uneven hair already grown back

"It's part of my process" I called back

Jasper went over a few more things then said that was all he could teach us to prepare us and end class.

Jake finally detached himself from Bella when we all started to leave so he could go back with us. He did nothing but cuddle up to Bella the whole night. At least I know I haven't gotten rusty with my fighting. I just hope I do as well when the actual fight gets here.

~(Aurora's Pov)~

After more arguments and a lot of yelling Paul and Jake seemed to finally give up on not letting me fight the newborns. There wasn't much to do before the army arrived except to make the final preparations. I was prepping everything at home but there really wasn't a lot to do.

"Aurora gave you seen Jacob" Dad yelled to me

"I haven't" I yelled back laying clothes out on my bed

"Can you shift and find him?" He asked

"I'm getting ready for tomorrow. Try Sam's" I think I heard Jake say something about stopping by there before picking up Bella probably to brag about it.

"Got it" he called back and went back to his phone call.

I had everything ready to go the whole pack was going to spend the night at Sam and Emily's to make it easier in the morning. Sam had already tried to send Emily up to her brother's for the weekend but she had refused to leave. I headed out after saying goodbye to dad and listening to his warnings about staying safe.

I must have made it to the clearing before Jake because Bella and Edward still looked like they were enjoying themselves. It took me a little while longer because I decided to not shift so I could carry all of my things. I called out a greeting and they watched me approach.

"Hey, Rora," Bella said waving a freshly bandaged hand

"I see you've managed to hurt yourself already" I joked

"Only a little"

"She insisted on spreading the blood around the clearing and wouldn't let me help till she was done" Edward complained

"It's a smart idea those newborns are gonna go crazy," I said between the smell of blood and the confusion of meeting the wolves the newborns aren't gonna know what hit them.

"See she agrees with me now if only you could be the one to carry me up to the mountain" She looked at me hopefully

"I would but god blood diluted the werewolf scent on me and I still have to get ready but if my brother tries anything I'll punch him again for you" Edward seems to lighten up at that thought he still seems to worry about something possibly everything. Or it has something to do with the fact that my brother just arrived and was shifting in the woods. Bella hadn't noticed yet due to the disadvantages of the human senses.

"Rosie trying to steal my job" Jake walked up behind me and swung an arm around my shoulder.

"Just checking on Bella before heading to Sam's" I explained "trying to make you jealous about missing the pack sleepover"

"Not much to miss other than the snoring" He tried to counter

"And the fact that you won't be there to play chaperone for me and Paul" I smiled knowing that he had been too caught up with the thought of camping with Bella to realize that that was exactly what he was doing. Bella and Edward seemed to enjoy watching him realize it too. Bella had listened to me complain about Jake's overprotectiveness before and Edwar no doubt had heard it secondhand.

"On that note goodbye. Have fun on missing the battle if you can even call it that" I yell back to them already making my way to Sam's.

"What are you doing?" Leah asked me as I was sitting on my temporary bed for the night cleaning Tsunami.

"Cleaning" I replied simply

"ok, but why are you doing it now when it's gonna get messy again tomorrow" She was now laying down next to me where she was going to sleep. There had been a lot of debate over where everyone was sleeping. Collin and Brady weren't there though because they were staying behind to protect the reservation. Embry also had to go home for a few hours to see his mother before sneaking out again. I had somehow ended up sleeping between Leah and Quil with Paul on the other side of the room which everyone seemed very adamant about.

"It calms me and I know that the next thing that I do is going to freak everybody out" It was still going to be funny when I made the sacrifice and got to see their reactions.

"Let me guess another sadistic food burning ceremony?" Leah guessed correctly

"I think that we have spent too much time in each other's heads if you were able to get that on the first try" I wasn't exactly wrong it is weird when you can look straight into someone's mind and see how they think because eventually, you are able to anticipate what they are thinking but would defiantly help when fighting the newborns.

"Just don't take my food and we'll be fine" Leah she laid down and almost looked like she was going to sleep.

"Are you really going to sleep already?" I asked putting Tsunami away.

"I have to spend the night in the house that my ex shares with his new fiancee who is my cousin because we are fighting an army of newborn vampires tomorrow. I don't want to stay awake any longer than I have to" She said quite defensively before rolling away from me.

"Ok then," I said awkwardly shuffling away.

I made my way from the make-shift beds and sat next to Paul on the couch. They all looked tense as much as they would try to deny it they were worried about how tomorrow would go. It was understandable as much as they talked they had only killed one vrykolakas and the numbers were on their side. Even Sam had never really been into a battle. He offered for me to be Alpha when I phased the same as he offered Jake but I refused. I couldn't be responsible for the whole pack and I don't know how it would work with the whole imprinting thing.

"You all need to stop stressing or all your furs gonna fall out" Emily joked coming out of the kitchen. We were all grateful for her cooking but I swear she is always in there. The one time anyone tried to help it was a disaster and got the whole pack banished from the kitchen.

"Now come on the food ready and you'll need your energy for the morning" She shooed us all to the kitchen leaving Leah alone.

I might have discreetly snuck some food off the table and into my lap to burn later and I saved a few things for Leah. The mood lightened up once they started eating and seemingly forgot all their worries. The food was gone in record time and that was saying a lot given the group that was eating. After the food was gone everyone made their way to the beds to try to get some sleep. One by one they all fell asleep and started snoring.

I carefully made my way to the porch to try to get some quiet and start a fire.

"Need some help with that?" Emily whispered coming up behind me and seeing me struggle to put my hair in a braid.

I nod and hand her the hair tie. "I was used to the long hair. It's short now and throwing me off"

"Oh, it's fine. Anything particular" She started to gather my hair up.

"A braid if you can or just whatever keeps it up and tight please" It was always a big thing at camp before a planned battle for everyone to get together and help each other put their up.

"Got it," She said starting to weave the hair.

"couldn't sleep with all the snoring either could you?" I asked

She let out a sigh. " One I could handle but seven is too much"

"After tonight you won't have to worry about it anymore at least" Tomorrow night everyone would be able to sleep in their own homes.

Emily's hands stilled in my hair.

"Uh nonono That's not what I meant. Everyone gonna fine. I might you would have your house back to yourself" I said rushing to get the words out and not send Emily into a full freak out.

She let out a long exhale and began braiding again. "I know I'm just worried"

"Everything will be fine" I reassured her

"There. All done" She secured my hair up and went to head back in the house but stopped at the doorway. "Bring them all home" she whispered before disappearing in the doorway.

I finished making the fire and burning the offerings praying that we all make it out safe.

Everything was set. The pack was ready. Emily had sent me a knowing look as we left.

The Cullens looked like they were about to go to some family workout with how they were dressed not that I could really judge. Somebody hid my CHB shirt so I was forced to wear some generic shirt and pants. I didn't have my bracelet or even a scabbard because I planned on having Tsunami out for everything that was about to happen.

One look from Alice told us they were almost there and then they flooded the clearing.

~(I don't even know who's Pov)~

The wolves jumped in the next second and started attacking the newborns.

Aurora was a blur dancing through the lines of newborns with her sword cutting through them without hesitation. At one point Rosalie threw a newborn right onto Aurora's sword before they resumed their fighting.

Jake joined the fight and with his help, the army was finished off even faster with all the newborns dead.

During the commotion, Paul had gotten separated from Aurora but when everything calmed down found her standing in front of a pile of dead vampires like nothing was wrong. He probably didn't have to worry as much as he thought he did. He looked over to Jake was thinking the same thing.

"We should have timed that" Aurora smiled dragging parts to where the Cullens were making a pyre. Paul meets were dragging him on additions in behind her.

The time after a successful battle with no causalities was usually the best but of course, that had to be ruined.

In an instance, Leah decided to attack a rogue newborn. Everyone rushed to help but jake got there first and pulled the thing off Leah. The moment the thing got into it with Jake Aurora dropper her sword and took off towards them shifting before hitting the ground but she got there a second too late and Jake had already fallen to the ground injured. She tore the newborn apart herself before letting out a howl that could be heard up the mountain and shifting back.

~(Aurora's Pov)~

Stupid Jake why'd he have to do that.

"Jake you idiot. I had it handled" Leah yelled to Jake who was writhing on the ground in agony.

I very loudly growled at her while others told her to shut up.

"All the bones on his right side are shattered" Carlise examined him "I have to reset them before they heal improperly"

"The Volturi will be here soon and they won't honor the treaty," Alice said coming up behind Carlise.

"We'll take him to Billy's" Sam ordered and the pack all worked to lift Jake.

"I'll take care of things here," I said to Sam "trust me and take care of my brother"

He nodded and they started making their way back to the house. Emmet came up to me and handed me his jacket which I was grateful for because it was freezing and I had previously been naked. There were a lot of flaws to shifting not like it wasn't worth the sacrifice.

Edward came into view a few seconds after they left carrying an unconscious Bella in his arms.

"She passed out when she heard about Jacob" Edward explained.

"She'll be fine just giver her a minute" Carlise examined her too

And just like he said she woke up not too long after to get the situation explained to her. Suddenly the wind changed and Esme had to stop me before I killed the newborn that they had apparently decided to spare. I walked in away from the thing to gather more parts for the fire. I looked over at Jasper who was also eyeing the newborn suspiciously at least I wasn't the only one who didn't trust it. Bella and Edward were talking near the thing deciding not to help with the cleanup.

Then the Volturi had to have their dramatic entrance. The Cullens all made a move to join together with Bella and the girl being the most protected but still separate. I put myself between Bella and the girl towards the back so they wouldn't immediately see me.

It didn't work of course.

"God-born" Jane narrowed her eyes and hissed at me.

"Jane long time no see. How's your brother been?" I smiled at her. It's always fun to mess with people who hate you.

"What are you doing in the middle of a newborn army?" She spat at me

"Just passing through and thought I could help." The lying came easy but the direct line of questioning made the Cullens tenser than they already were.

"I think it's time you left" She didn't even try to hide the hate she felt for me from showing.

"Of course, all you had to do was ask. I'll leave you to it then" I say way too cheerfully for the kinda stand-off that was happening and walking off.

I'm taking the long way back to Billy's. Wrap this up we need Carlise. I thought so that Edward would hear.

~(Aurora's Pov)~

I rushed to Billy's as fast as I could while still making it hard to track me if Jane decided to try to find me. By the time I made it there the pack was already there but Carlise still hadn't gotten arrived.

Dad was inside talking to Sam while Jake was cursing loud enough for the gods to hear him. Everyone else was just trying to figure out a way to help Jake or make themselves busy.

"Aurora, Where have you been?" Cheif Swan asked setting a glass of water down next to Jake.

"I was out in the woods and got a little turned around then I had a feeling like my brother had done something incredibly stupid and came back" Technically I didn't lie to him.

"Well, anyway you shouldn't be hearing this language just because of a motorcycle accident," Cheif Swan said looking at my brother like he was innocent up until then or something.

"Bet you're glad Bella loves a Cullen instead of me today huh?" Jake was somehow able to say during a break in the curses.

"Be happier if you were safer out there" Chief Swan said worriedly as Carlise and Edward finally got there.

Carlise didn't say much other than the minimum pleasantries before he went to work and JAke's curses turned to screams.

Edward saw the water on the table start to flood and sent me out with Paul to get some air.

~(Paul's Pov)~

Edward had sent Aurora out when they started working on Jacob and as much as I hate that leech at least he was looking out for her.

After I got her to calm down a little so there wasn't a risk of Lapush turning into an island we sat down and i tried to distract her. I didn't work of course she was too smart for that but at some point, her mind must have calmed down enough because she fell asleep. Not a peaceful or deep sleep but one that was just a result of the stress catching up to her.

~(Bella's Pov)~

Carlise and Edward had already left by the time I got to Billy's but Rora and Paul were still out on the porch. At first, it looked like she was asleep but as I got closer she stood up and walked over.

"Bella you're my friend and I care about you but when I shifted I saw what happened to you and Jake" I don't know what her point was but I hoped she would go faster so I could see Jake.

"I don't care who you choose. Jacob or Edward but you need to decide the longer you take the more you hurt all three of you. He's my brother I don't want him to see him get hurt and I know you don't either so please make a decision I'll stand by you either way but only if you choose" She finished and I was finally able to get a good look at her. She had bags under her eyes and her hands were nonstop in their movements.

"I promise I'll end this Rora" I gave her a hug before I continued into the house and she took her place next to Paul again.

~(Bella's Pov)~

Jake was fully recovered finally but he was avoiding me after I took Rora's advice. She had gone back to her regular self. She had even asked me to meet her in the woods for a surprise.

"Rora you here" I called out looking around the clearing half expecting to see a giant wolf waiting for me.

"Look up" a voice called from one of the trees. I did and there she was sitting up high in the branches.

"Are you going to come down?" I shouted up. I don't even know how she got up there it didn't look like there were enough holds.

"Yeah, just give me a moment and you might want to take a step back" She warned. It was hard to see what she was doing because of all the foliage. A bundle of things from the tree and then there was a loud crashing sound before a wolf fell through the branches. It landed on all fours but still shook its head like something hit it. It dragged the stuff behind a tree and Rora came back looking completely unfazed.

"Hi" She smiled and walked to another tree to get something "So the surprise is this. This is my training area and this is where I'm gonna teach you to fight"

I finally had a chance to look around the area. It wasn't really a clearing there were rocks and trees everywhere but the grass had been flattened and there were lots of wolf tracks. Rora had obviously spent a lot of time here.

"Wait, What!" I practically shouted after I realized what she said.

"I am going to teach you how to fight" She repeated pulling some sort of wooden structure out and sticking it in the grounds.

"Why!?" Why would I need to fight I would have no chance in a fight with a vampire or werewolf.

"Because I saw through Seth how you reacted when Victoria attacked and while no ones expecting you to go fighting vrykolakas you still need to know some things. Think of it as an engagement gift." She stood right I'm front of me as she explained.

"There's no point. I'll just end up hurting myself or worse you" I probably would end up hurting myself more trying to protect myself

"I'll take the risk" Rora wasn't going to budge on this.

"Fine" I sighed

"Great, let's get started" Rora got into a stance that I tried my best to copy.

She had me copy stances for a while then decided to move on to hitting the wooden thing that was apparently supposed to be a dummy.

"How long do I have to do this?" I was never gonna get a break at this point.

"A week at most but for today all you have to do is punch me like I showed you and then we can be done" she couldn't be serious.

"You want me to punch you?" I asked her to clarify.

"Not in the face just in the stomach it doesn't have to be hard," She said like she was asking for any other ordinary thing.

"Are you sure?" I asked again as I got closer and stood like she showed me.

She nodded a 'yes'. I pulled my arm back and punched. She didn't even flinch and barely moved once I hit her.

"See all good. You want to stay for lunch?" Rora asked starting to collect her stuff.

Only she could casually offer lunch after a secret fighting lesson in the woods.

~(Three days later)~

"So what are we going over today?" I asked walking into the little training area.

Rora seemed to be doing a handstand against one of the trees. This had become our little routine I would arrive and Rora would pause whatever insane training thing she was doing and explain what we were going to do that day then after that actual training part was over we got food.

"Today is a half day. All you have to do is finish moving the rocks from yesterday" She explained still upside done.

Sometime before I had gotten here yesterday Rora had gathered all these different-sized rocks and had told me to make a small border around the area. It wasn't too hard but it still wasn't easy and she told me to do it at the end yesterday so I didn't finish.

I dropped the last big rock and sat down on it.

"Finished?" Rora asked, she had moved on from the handstand and was doing stretches against a tree.

"Yep," I said taking a sip of water. After the first day, I learned to be prepared.

"Yay! Now you can see the surprise." She made a gesture for me to follow her and started walking away.

We didn't walk for long before she whistled and stepped into a much larger clearing than where we had been before.

At first, nothing happened then a whole herd of horses with massive wings flew down.

"They usually don't land here because of the pack but I told them it was safe" Rora looked over at me to see my reaction.

"Can I touch them?" I ask the amazement clear in my voice.

"Yeah just be respectful" She walked over to a brown one with white markings. "This is Pran. She is the leader of this herd"

"How do you know her name?" I gently stroked her manes and only touched her wing after Rora did.

"She told me. Me and Percy can talk to them because our father made horses. It comes in handy especially when giant herds of pegasus are flying over your house." She was also petting the horse but seemed a lot more sure of her movements than me.

~(Two days later)~

"Ok, you've done well so far let's see how you do. Ready?" Rora had said that this was the last day of training so we were gonna spar a little and my goal was to get her on the ground. She was going to go slow for me but I had to get her down before she got five taps in.

"Ready" I called.

We started circling each other slowly and I held my arms like she taught me to protect myself. She made the first move going in low trying to hit my leg but missed when I jumped back.

"Good" she complimented

Now it was my turn so I tried getting in close to sweep her legs but she was able to tap my shoulder before I could get here. She came in again and got a tap on my right side when she feigned left and another on my left when I moved to the right.

"Watch the feet to see where I'll go" she reminded. We had gone over this just yesterday but it felt better to watch her hands because that's what she keeps hitting me with.

I went again trying to get her to move her arms so I had a clear shot but I misjudged the distance and she got her fourth tap on my shoudler.

"One more and I win" she was being very cocky for a teacher.

I couldn't let her win and have to listen to her brag so I did the only reasonable thing. I charged at her and tackled her to the ground.

"I win," I said happily from on top of her.

"I guess" she sighed but I could tell she was trying to fight back a smile.

"Good I need everyone to know I beat the big, bad Rora in fight" I rolled off her and stood up offering a hand down.

"You don't even know the best part yet" she took it and pulled herself up " your reward for being the first graduate of the Aurora Forest Training for The Accident Prone is a chance to go cliff diving with yours truly"

" You just put the words 'accident prone' and 'cliff diving' in the same sentence together but if your sure it's safe then I'm in" I mean what could go wrong Rora can literally control the ocean there's no one better to do it with.

"Yay!" Rora celebrated

~(Bella's Pov)~

"So how am I actually supposed to do this," I asked looking over the edge of the cliff from a good distance away.

"When you jump just to make sure you go in feet first and keep your arms close to you and remember to blow out your nose when hit the water" Rora explained, she was a lot close to the edge than me.

"Are you sure it's safe?" I asked remembering the last time I was looking into this water. We weren't at the top we were at the lowest place.

"We'll be fine. I'll go first so I can make sure everything is ok. If I get badly hurt the water will just heal me anyway but if you're not comfortable we can walk back down." She had turned to look at me while she was talking.

I was just about to answer when Rora's head snapped up and she started glaring into the tree. I was worried till I saw the giant smile that replaced the previous worried face. Only one person made her smile like that. She and Paul were still trying to work their relationship out but you could tell they cared for each imprint or not.

"Paul, what are you doing here?" I don't know how she can tell where he is in the shadowed forest but I had no doubts that she was right.

"Embry saw you guys up here and told me," Paul said walking out of the forest. At first, I was surprised he was human then I was surprised that I was actually expecting a giant wolf instead of a human. seriously what has my life become.

"Well we are cliff diving care to join us," Rora said taking her jacket and shoes off.

"Does Jake know you're doing this?" Paul asked

"He does not get to dictate everything in my life and the ocean is literally the safest place for me" Rora and Jake had a very strange relationship they loved and protected each other but then the next minute they hated each other and seemed ready to murder the other.

"Not gonna touch that" I heard Paul whisper. There was no way Rora didn't hear but she chose to ignore it and was making her way to the edge again.

"So you guys ready," She asked throwing her stuff over the edge. She had already told me she was planning on doing that so we wouldn't have to hike back up to get it again.

"Yeah, who's going first?" Paul asked also taking his shoes off and throwing them over the edge. He didn't even ask why but just blindly followed Rora. They are so cute together.

"She is so she will be down there when I go" I answered. I had already told Alice so there wouldn't be another incident. Edward had almost not let me come because of it but Rora had convinced him.

"I'll go last in case you need help up her" Paul said. He and I didn't really talk much but we usually ran into each other at Billy's house.

"Alright see you down there" That was the last thing Rora said before she just casually jumped off and over the edge.

"She really doesn't let anything stop her" I commented looking at where she had just been a moment ago.

"You see her over the pack link. She has the craziest stories" Paul said with an exasperated expression on his face.

A whistle cut through the air from the water. That was the signal for me to know it was safe to come down.

"The things I do for her" I sigh as I go to make my jump.

"Have fun" Paul laughed. And then I was just falling through nothingness

The last time I jumped I was too focused on seeing Edward again to fully enjoy the experience. You could tell why people enjoyed doing this. It was fun but just as I got used to it I hit the water. Rora was right it was nothing like last time this time the water was gentler and pushed me up once I went under.

"See fun right" Rora smiled absolutely soaked

"I think twice is enough for me" I joked

"Well, at least you have a good memory to replace the old one" She pulled me away to make room for Paul to jump next. She whistled again and we saw him jump whooping the whole way down. Rora started laughing when she heard him. He made a giant splash that made me glad that she had moved us.

"Still better up higher" Paul resurfaced and swam a little towards us.

"Maybe next time when we don't have a newbie. No offense" Rora assured him

"None taken," I said my teeth chattering slightly. It was one of the warmer days and it wasn't raining which was nice. I swear since Rora got here it rained even more than before.

"You're cold here let's get to the beach. Paul can you take her so I can get the stuff" Rora said sort of passing me off.

"Sure you can swim right," Paul asked me

"Yeah just not that well" I answered honestly

"I'll help you guys just be careful there's a shark around here. I told her to leave you alone but just in case you get to take the express way" Why did she have to say there was a shark in the water. I would have been perfectly fine not knowing that.

"I say we go back now and not test it" I voted

"We'll start making our way back," Paul told Rora. She nodded before she went back under the water. We started swimming back but then a wave came up and pushed us most of the way back. That must have been what Rora meant when she said 'express way'.

We made it back but she was already waiting on the beach for us with a pile of our stuff next to her. She looked perfectly dry. Demigod perks I guess.

"Here Bella you can take my jacket" She held it out to me when we made it to her. The jacket was also dry.

"Mind doing some of that water magic stuff on us," Paul asked doing some indecipherable hand gestures.

Rora sighed but she was smiling and all the water just slid off of us and into the sand. She had told me that whenever the pack asked her to do any demigod thing (which wasn't very often) that they would do some movement to demonstrate and that it had turned into a game to see who could do the most ridiculous one.

"Well I'm still cold so I'm gonna head home. Anyone need a ride?" I offered. It was cold even dry and on a warm day. I'm pretty sure the only reason Rora even brought a jacket was for me because I know they tend to run hot.

"I'm fine, I gotta meet my dad," Paul said putting his shoes back on.

"I'll pass too. That water woke me up so I'm gonna go for a short run home" Rora also answered. I tried giving the jacket back to her but she refused to say she would get it from me later.

After saying my goodbyes I started back to my car.

~(Aurora's pov)~

I had to back track a little to find a safe place to shift so I wouldn't be seen on the way back to the house. I had to hold all my clothes in my mouth which was uncomfortable because I didn't bring my bag to the cliff. It was worth it though to do that with Bella even though I had to keep stopping because I dropped a shoe. I got behind the house and got dressed before walking around to the front.

I ran into the mailman and was glad that I had shifted. He gave me the mail and we talked about the good weather for short while. Before I continued into the house.

"Got the mail" I shouted and dumped it all down on the table

"Thanks, Rosie" Jake said going to pick through it

I was making my way to my room to get a change of clothes because I had gotten wolf slobber over everything despite my best efforts to keep it clean. I was just about to strip when I heard the door slam shut.

~(Aurora's pov)~

"JACOB" I heard dad yell after him.

I ran back into the room and saw Bella and Edward's wedding invitation. I rush past dad and to the door just in time to see him shift and run off.

I shifted too not even bothering with my clothes just trying to catch up to him. I hoped that that mailman had left already in a small part of my mind.

I had chased after him for a good hour before I lost him over the border to Canada. I couldn't tell which way he went so I turned back home so I could at least tell dad and the pack what happened.

~(Paul's pov)~

Jacob ran away two weeks ago.

Sam let him go knowing he needed time to process everything but that hasn't stopped Aurora from running after him every chance she gets. She only goes for a day or two at a time because she doesn't want to leave her dad alone for too long. She also started helping Cheif Swann put up missing posters in the city even though she knows it's pointless but she says she doesn't want the Cheif to think they don't care. Between all that she has been absolutely exhausted all the time.

Today was one of the rare days I actually got her outside doing something that didn't have anything to do with Jake. She hasn't even seen Bella and though I don't particularly like leech-lover even that would help. I had to guilt her into checking on her training ground saying that she shouldn't just neglect it.

"See everything fine, just how I left it," She said walking around the space and kicking a few stray twigs away.

"Isn't there something else you want to do? Maybe do some crazy practice or something" I pleaded trying to get her to do something normal again.

"I don't have time for this. I have to make dinner then I'm heading back out to look for Jake again" She was already making her way out of the clearing.

I stopped her by grabbing her arm just enough to make her look back at me. "Do you really think he wants to be found?" I tried to reason with her "It's been two weeks, Rose" I should not have said that. As soon as the name was said she ripped her arm from my grasp and was about to start yelling when something flew into the tree behind us.

It was an arrow. There was a silver arrow embedded in the tree that most have just missed my head by an inch. I scanned the forest but couldn't see anything even with the wolf vision. Aurora seemed to be more focused on the arrow itself though. She must have realized something because she started kneeling and pulling me down with her.

"Lady Artemis is that you who has graced us with your presence," Aurora asked into the forest with a sincerity that you usually don't hear with those words.

There was no answer and just when I was about to stand again a voice called back.

"I'm not a goddess but I am older than you," The voice said.

"For gods sake you had me worried" Aurora yelled back, standing up. I guess it wasn't this Artemis person.

"Why won't you let me have my fun" The voice answered finally coming forward. It was a girl who couldn't have been older than sixteen. She wore some sort of crown almost in her spiky black hair and carried a silver bow. She was smiling at Aurora but was glaring at me from the side.

"Because your fun made me think I was in trouble" Aurora went up and hugged the girl.

"Not yet, Rory. At least not with Artemis" The girl hugged back.

I cleared my throat to remind Aurora that I was there too.

"Right, Thalia this is Paul. Paul this is one of my cousins Thaila" Auorar introduced us.

"Nice to meet you" We both greeted each other.

"So where are the rest of the hunters or have you finally decided to come back to camp" Aurora joked with her.

"You wish Rory. They're here. We were just waiting to see how the argument went" Thaila seemed to accuse still glaring at me.

"It wasn't a argument" I defended " We were just talking"

"Not what it looked like. Your lucky if my lady had been here you'd be dead by now" Thalia said like it was a casual thing to discuss my murder.

"You all know I can take care of myself" Aurora didn't seem to notice the tension in the air or she did and just chose to ignore t.

"We know but we still want you so gotta make good impressions" Thalia teased and poked Aurora.

"You know I won't leave Autumn," Aurora said sounding a little dejected. I would just think that she was still tired but you could tell that this argument was one that they had had before.

"Anyway, you mind if we set up camp here for the night," Thalia asked changing the subject.

"If it was up to me of course you could but I'm sure you already know it's not just up to me" Aurora must be talking about Sam and the pack.

"I did hear something about that and you have to show me but I'm serious we're going on a hunt and need a place to crash," Thalia asked again a little rougher.

"I'll see what I can do. Paul would you mind getting Sam and probably Leah so we can work this out" Aurora asked me

"Ok" Of course, I said yes how could I say no even if I didn't trust Thalia it was clear that she and Aurora trusted each other. I started jogging to Sam's figuring it wouldn't be a good idea if this matter wasn't settled fast

"Oh, and tell Jared and Quil to stay away" Aurora yelled after me. It probably end badly if they found a group of mysterious hunters on patrol and spooked them if that arrow to the tree was anything to go by.

~(Aurora's Pov)~

After Paul left most of the hunters came out and we talked for a little while. I told Thalia everything that she had missed and she told me about their recent trip to Spain and how Artemis was in Olympus for a few days on official business. Apparently, they were heading up to Canada to meet back up with her when everything was taken care of. She promise to be on the lookout for Jake while she was up there too which was a relief.

Sam, Paul, and Leah all got back relatively quickly and Sam and Thalia were able to discuss the situation. There was some explaining to do with who the hunters are, who Artemis is, and what exactly they do but in the end, Sam agreed to let them stay for two nights as long as they didn't hurt anyone. it was decided that me and Leah would be the ones to patrol the area for however long they stayed so there wouldn't be any accident involving any of the guys. Everyone agreed on that.

In the end, everything was worked out and there was a promise that they could always find a place to sleep on the reserve as long as they tell us. Once everything was settled Sam left and Leah spent some more time talking to the other hunters. I was worried she was thinking of joining but she must have just liked talking to them because she left not too soon after. Paul and I helped them set up a bit. They didn't like him touching their things thought so he eventually gave up trying to help.

~(Paul's Pov)~

Those women really hated me and I have no idea why. I've never even met them before today but they seemed to have already decided who I am. The only one who seems to actually tolerate me Is Thalia. Aurora told me that the only way she acted the way she did at first was because she saw us talking and assumed the worst. She is very protective apparently but once that was resolved everything was fine.

Thalia actually finished her tent first and came to sit down next to me while Aurora was still working. After a few awkward attempts at small talk, I was able to tell her how Aurora's been acting lately and what happened with Jacob. She said she knows what the problem is and that she'd take care of it then just walked away. Hopefully, her version of 'taking care of something doesn't involve murder or anything murder adjacent. She seems like the type who would though.

After all of them were settled in we left and Aurora was happy and looked better than she had been for the past two weeks.

The hunters kept to their word they were gone by noon the next day. Nothing had really changed and Aurora was already back to her new habit of trying to do everything for everyone. She had already spent three hours in Port Angeles and twice as long searching for Jake. Either he has to come back soon or she has to stop before she ends up hurting herself.

She just came back from looking when I left Billy's house. He was already asleep and I made her go to bed as soon as she came back which left me with no real reason to stick around. Whenever she leaves she's asked me to look after her dad so if he needs anything someone is there. I of course told I would. I would do anything to take some of the pressure off of her.

The sun had already set and it was raining so the way back home was dark but I knew the path I was taking.

"So I hear Rory needs a break" something stepped out of the shadows.

~(Paul's Pov)~

"What exactly am I waiting for?" Aurora asked again blindfolded

"You'll see" I answered her

She was getting impatient and I couldn't really blame her. We were standing in Billy's living room and had been for the past ten minutes. He was supposed to have been here by now but he wasn't so we were just stuck waiting in a pitch-black room. If Jake walked in, he'd probably kill me on the spot, but if there was even a chance of that then we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place. The only reason I had gotten her to go along so far was that I said it was going to help her. It's not technically lying if she just assumed that meant it would help her find Jake.

I didn't hear him enter the room but I saw the glint when one of the stray beams of light reflected off his ring.

Aurora tensed beside me. There was no change she couldn't know right?

Wrong.

She pushed me behind her and pointed her sword at him all in one instance. She couldn't see and there was no sound or anything.

"Who are you?" she asked into the room

"I'm offended" The shadow called back "you don't recognize your own flesh and blood"

She lowered her sword, and took off her blindfold. "I refuse to believe you're flesh and blood" she smiled.

Aurora and Nico met each other in a hug that ended with her messing up his already wild hair while he made noises of protest.

"What are you doing here? Hiding from you boyfriend already?" Aurora asked. Looking happier already being around her cousin. Hopefully that means this is a good idea.

At the mention of a boyfriend he turned redder than i thought possible for the pale boy.

"No, something else. Thalia actually thought of it" Nico smiled. Then jumped forward grabbing ahold of both of us to Aurora's surprise.

We all fell into the darkness.

~(Aurora's Pov)~

After the darkness was more darkness but it wasn't the same. This was from a cabin inhabitated by someone allergic to the sun not the darkness the comes with semi-celestial traveling. We were at Camp more specifically in Cabin 13. It looked exactly as I remembered it with Nico's stuff thrown anywhere it landed but there were a few spots of organized things that i am almost certain do not belong to the song of Hades.

"Did you two just kidnap me?" I ask the kidnappers in question. It's my own fault really I knew something was up with Paul, he's a horrible liar.

"Is it really kidnapping if its for your mental health" Paul tries to reason. I know he's been trying to get me to stop but I didn't think he would recruit helpers.

I sigh. I can't with them. Now there's no way I can look for Jake because on the other side of the freakin' country!

"HEY, get back here!" I yell after Nico whos trying to slip out the door undetected. He having some sliver of self preservation keeps going, almost running to the dining pavailon. I go to chase after him with Paul right behind me.

I catch up to him just as he reaches Cabin 7's table and is already partially hiding behind a blonde guy who keeps on eating like this is a everyday occurence.

"Nico, you have to take me back. My brother ran away I have to find him." I say on the off chance it'll appeal to his sympathy (If he has any).

"Percy is fine I guarantee it" Nico grinned happy at himself.

"YOU SON OF A GORGON! Take me back" I practically scream at him.

He's just about to shout back when the blonde guy finally looks up. "You shadow travelled? All the way to Washington and back?!?" Blonde guy is full giving Nico a disappointed look.

"Twice" Nico barely mutters over a whisper.

"OKAY, THATS IT!" Blonde guy starts yelling then stands up to start climbing to the top of the table. That quickly drew the attention of his siblings who were trying to eat in peace, Paul who was getting very distracted looking at everything, and literally everyone else in the pavilion.

"FROM NOW ON NICO DI ANGELO IS NOT ALLOWED TO SHADOW TRAVEL UNLESS IT IS A EXTREME EMERGENCY. AND NO THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE HAPPY MEAL RUNS. ANYONE WHO CATCHES HIM SHADOW TRAVELING IS FREE TO TIE HIM IN THE SUNNIEST PLACE POSSIBLE (WITH SUNNLOCK). DOCTOR'S ORDERS!!" Blonde guy got that all out in one breathe then turned to give Nico a look that I have seen many times and used and received. Blonde guy must be Will Solace. Of course the first time I meet him I end up getting yelled at.

"What is all the commotion about?" Chiron asks being drawn to the sudden burst of yelling.

~(Paul's Pov)~

That guys a horse! A freakin' horse! and everyone's acting like the yelling was the more unusual thing. Maybe it was a bad idea for me to come here.

"Ms. Black its nice to have you back" The horseman said once he herded us into a gaint farmhouse looking place.

"It's good to be back Chiron but my dad needs me and I completely ditched Stromy and Trident. Not to mention by heartbroken lovesick brother who ran off to Zeus knows where" Aurora's rambling. It like shes trying to find a reason to not relax.

"Um, Hi I'm Paul. The one who caused this mess" I introduce myself hopping he's not as intimidating as he looks.

"Of course, the imprint I've heard all about you" He smiles and it makes me think he was born to play the mentor/ replacement father role.

He turns back to Aurora. "Now I know you want to get home but Thalia called and she thinks it's best if you rest for a few days. You can even show Paul around camp. Just make sure he doesn't get killed"

Again with these people and them talking about time dying so casually like its not something that should be taken more seriously.

"Fi--" She started but was cut off by the front door slamming open.

"ARIE" A definitely male voice called into the house.

She immediately started smiling and ran towards the sound. "PERCY" She ran up and gave him a hug.

~(Paul's Pov)~

"Percy this is Paul my Annabeth", after Aurora practically tackled the guy that walked in she introduced him.

"Your Annabeth.... huh" Percy seemed to contemplate that while looking at me. Honestly he was good looking if he wasn't Aurora's sister I might have been jealous with how she was still leaning against him.

"So what exactly are you intentions with my little sister?" He was kinda intimidating with his never breaking stare like he could see into my soul.

"Oh Gods" Aurora sighed

"Um... nothing. My plan was only to get her here and that was more Thalia than me" I don't know how else i was suppose to say. I hadn't really thought of the future much. The only thing I knew for sure was that Aurora was going to be there for it and was not something i wanted to tell her super powered brother.

A few seconds passed of silence before Chiron cleared his throat. "Since your staying we'll need to find a cabin for you."

"He can bunk with us. I'll make sure to keep an eye on them" Percy said nudging Aurora causing her to blush a little before she shoved him back.

"Well then that's settled" Chiron seemed happy with that answer and Aurora started dragging me behindhe as she made her way to the door. "One more thing you missed the announcement but Capture the Flag tonight. I'm sure you can inform Mr. Lahote of the rules if her wishes to participate"

~(Aurora's Pov)~

I explained how camp's Capture the Flag was and how it might be a better idea for him to sit it out because he wasn't used to it but he refused. He at least agreed that shifting would be a bad idea in case the other campers mistake him for a monster. Then I showed him around the camp and stopped at the stables so I could surprise Autumn.

Dinner seemed to go fast with everyone eager to get ready for the game. I didn't really get to see anyone of the seven either. Hazel and Frank were in New Rome, they didn'y come to camp too often and Percy told me Leo's been hauled up in his workshop for a few days working on something but should resurface soon.

Nico decided to stay with Will to "help" with the injured which was a clear lie. The teams had already been decided so I missed all the fun of watching privileges traded for alliances. Apparently Nico not telling anyone I was coming upset some of the plans becuase no one was anticipating two children of Posideon. We were on the Hepastus' team with Demeter, Ares, Dionysus, Nike, Aphordite and Hecate. The other team was led by Hermes and had the rest of the cabins. I was surprised Percy didn't try to be with Annabeth. The rest of her siblings must have had another idea that was more important.

Everyone was waiting in the dining pavilion then the cheering went up when the Stolls ran in with Hermes' flag followed by Nyssa, Hephastus' counselor, carrying ours.

"Heroes!" Chiron announced. "You know the rules. The creek is the boundary line. The entire forest is fairgame. All magic items are allowed. The banner must be prominently displayed, and have no more thantwo guards. Prisoners may be disarmed, but may not be bound or gagged. No killing or maiming isallowed. I will serve as referee and battlefield medic. Arm yourselves!"

When the tables filled I got as much armor as I could for Paul just in case, he wouldn't be doing anything stealthy so covering everything was more important.

"Should I be worried about all of this?" He asked as I quickly strapped him and double checked everything was covered the handed him his helmet. We were red which Percy complained about

"You'll be fine no ones died playing in a while" I tried to reassure him, strapping my own armor on like I've done a hundred times before

I got Tusnami and my shield out and handed Paul a spear. It was more for show he would probably be on lookout or something.

Paul was about to say something else but he was cut off by our group quickly making our way to the north.

We didn't stop at a clearing but in one of the thickest parts of the forest so we were all gathered between the trees.

Nyssa stood to give the orders "The flag stays in the tree" She said draping it on one of the taller branches behind her. "Piper, you and Pollux guard it. Charmspeak anyone who gets close. Cabin 4 make it as hard a possible for blue to get through the surrounding trees. 20 cicle the left and get behind them, 17 you do the same with the right. 5 you go in from the front full force. Cabin 10 your going to set the decoys while 9 does the traps"

She watched everyone scrambled to follow their orders before turning to the three of us remaining. "Percy you have one of the most important jobs" Percy leaned in closer "Whatever you do don't let Annabeth trick you"

I might have laughed.

"Just go to the river make it look like your busy or something important. And take- who is this" she asked pausing long enough to notice the new person "Nevermind just take him with you. Orie find Jason stay on him make sure he doesn't disrupt our plan"

With a quick good luck to Percy and a confused Paul we went off in separate directions.

The wolf thing came in handy instead of having to guess where Jason would be I could actually smell him with the heightened senses. Now what to when I find him.

~(Paul's Pov)~

We were by the river semi-obscured byt the tree, just standing there in silence. It was awkward but something told me it wouldn't be better if we talked either.

"So you're one of those shifters too right?" Percy asked out of the blue.

"I am" He wasn't suppose to know that but Aurora like all the other Half-bloods didn't seem to care for rules.

He turned to look at me and again it hit me how dangerous everyone was here. The air felt different like it was charged, I had to suppress the urge to shift.

He took a step towards me " You know Arie is my sister"

I felt like someone was watching me from the trees but I couldn't see anything This forest was different from Lapush. It was quieter but it felt alive, it wasn't like home at all.

" My little sister, not by much but still. We're family" He kept getting closer, the shadows behind him bended in almost suffocatingly.

"And you see I'm very protective of my family" He had stopped moving and was standing in front of me. I could hear the river behind him speed up but it was too dark now to see it. The air felt dangerous now like it was going to explode. It didn't just fell like someone was watching me it felt like someone was studying me.

"If anyone hurts my family not even the Gods could save them" Percy said and everything stopped. It didn't go back to normal it just froze like it was stuck in time. Even if I shifted without the pack I wouldn't stand a chance.

"Paul! Percy!" Aurora suddenly ran up "there you are. What are you doing the game ended already?" The moment Aurora was there everything went back like none of it had happened in the first place.

"We were just talking" Percy smiled and went up to her "had to make sure he knew what he was getting into. Hope I didn't scare him off"

They both looked at me when I didn't answer.

I laughed. "Not at all"

~(Aurora's Pov)~

The game went surprisingly well yesterday and our team was able to win. The only problem was that Paolo got stuck in one of the traps Cabin 9 and had to have his arm reattached again.

Paul was very concerned that this was a common enough occurrence that nobody freaked out. At least that got him to start talking though he was oddly quiet after the game ended. I know Percy had something to do with it. So I decided to cheer him up or at least try to.

"Come on I want to show you something" I was trying to pull him into the forest but he didn't want to go.

"Why can't you just show me out here?" Paul said not budging.

"That won't work now come on" I tried to pull him again "Don't you trust me"

That made him fold and start following me albeit reluctantly.

Paul stayed close to me while we walked deeper into the forest. I hope Percy didn't do anything to bad. We took a few more turns before we go to the place.

"Ta-Da!"

"There's nothing there. It's just trees" Paul was right it did look like just a random bunch of trees but that was the genius of it.

"That's just I want people to think" I said walking up to one of the trees. I jumped up and knocked it loose.

Once the ladder had fully unraveled Paul seemed to understand.

"What is this place?" Paul asked following me up the ladder.

"This is my escape from reality" I answered opening the trap door.

The tree house was just how I left it. There were blankets and a pillow all shoved into a corner and other things thrown everywhere. There was also a full duffle bag shoved in one corner in case of an emergency. It wasn't that big to begin with but it felt smaller now the wolf growth spurt. You couldn't see it from the ground because the trees were too thick in this part of the forest.

"Why'd you bring me her?" Paul was looking around at the mess

"I thought we could come here when the camp gets to much for you. Thats what I do. No one knows about it either" I sat down on the pile of blankets.

"I like that idea" Paul smiled and sat down next to me.

We stayed there for a few hours just talking and playing around till we decided to go back before Percy read a search party.

~Time Skip (A Few Days Later)~

"I can't belive you have to leave tomorrow. I've barely seen you" Leo complained. He had only resurface yesterday from his project.

It had been nice to visit but we had to get back soon for Bella's wedding. I know Jake's stubborn but I hope he will at least get close enough to town for me to catch him. I was gonna miss everyone here though. It felt weird not seeing them everyday and missing out on the big things. Apparently Jason's proposal ended up in a huge diaster that I'm not even sure what happened but they mutually broke up. And it took them days to tell me because they forgot I wasn't there. At least going home would mean I get to see the pack again.

There were only eight of us all gathered in the Posidon cabin. Autumn had already fallen asleep despite her best efforts to stay up late with the rest of us.

"We still have tonight at least. What should we do?" Annabeth asked, her and Percy were being sitting next to each other on one of the empty bunks.

"Game night?" Jason offered. We used to do game nights before I left and they were always the best.

"But what should we play first?" I asked getting up and pulling the box free from under one of the bunks. We had a good amounts of games collected. There were some games that were banned by vote of course, Monoploy being one of them.

"Oh what about Twister" Nico said pulling the box free "I'll call it"

We made our own Twister mat a few months back to make it big enough for everyone to play. Everyone agreed even Paul. I think the whole group together scared a little bit even if he would never admit that.

Once the game was all set up, Nico had fun calling out the directions. I don't think he was even using the spinner. He enjoyed controlling us to his amusement especially once he found his new target in the less than flexible Paul. It's the only way to explain how Paul and Annebeth ended up practically on top of each other. Everyone found it very amusing except Paul who was embarrassed and Percy who found it the opposite of funny.

We played almost all the games until Piper kept falling asleep in the middle of Uno and we had to call it a night.
