Chapter Text
Climber watched in shock as Karl's head was nearly shattered with his pickaxe. Pieces of cement and resin flew through the air scattering onto the floor. The statue stood still for a moment, a choked and quiet cry ripping itself from his throat as a reaction.
Climber’s expression was blank as a small piece of resin hit him in the face, he would definitely be traumatized from this in the future. Sure. He’s seen people die and get injured before- but this was new. Seeing someone who seemed invincible suddenly be killed right in front of him, by his own pickaxe-! He doesn’t think he’ll forget this.
They saw Karl's body suddenly collapse to the floor, pieces of cement surrounding him. His head was still intact, but there was a large pickaxe stuck in his head, going completely through it until it came out the other side. If Climber could throw up, he would have done it just then.
He couldn’t see the statue well, but seeing the man who was once so much quicker than Climber during their short fight suddenly go still was a jarring site for the mannequin.
Climber watched as the woman who had run the pickaxe through Karl's head ran over to another body that had been lying on the floor. It was the body of a man. He doesn't know who the two are, but they can clearly see that she is hurting.
He frowned as he saw the woman hug the man's body, clearly grieving him. She picked up the man's body and began to walk off, he didn't bother to see how she got down, as they had their own problems to worry about. He made an attempt to slowly get up, he failed to see where Arma had gone.
He tried to stand up, but a strange sensation they never felt before was brewing in his chest. It felt like a high amount of pressure on his chest. He ignored it in favor of getting over to the injured statue.
He stood up, shaking and nearly falling down. He made his way to Karl's body, hoping he wouldn't suddenly jump up and kick him into oblivion.
They looked it in the eyes. His usual malicious smile and manic eyes were gone. Instead, he looked defeated, his eyes were half lidded and blink while his mouth formed a slight frown.
Climber has seen Karl a few times in the past but never has he seen him in such a state as this. Climber couldn't help but feel sorry, while Karl did attempt to kill him, Climber still felt pity for the statue.
Climber fake sighed and sat onto the ground, crossing his legs. Climber cursed himself as he gently lifted Karl's head and placed it on his leg. His head was difficult to lift, but Climber managed.
Climber didn't know much about statues, but he still felt sickened when small pieces of cement and resin fell on his thigh.
Climber gently grabbed the pickaxe, grabbing both sides of it. He gently pressed the pickaxe and winced when it suddenly moved, causing more small pieces of resin to fall. They slowly slid it out of Karl's head, it was covered in small amounts of dust.
Climber wiped it against their jacket. Climber shivered, he hated the feeling of having Karl's “blood” on his coat, it was like having his own stuffing on the ground or in his own hands.
Climber put his hands under Karl's head and put him back onto the ground. He stood up and dusted his thighs, he turned around. He paused and turned back around to face Karl’s body.
They looked back at Karl's body, he turned to look at the very obvious chaos and possibly deadly event that was unfolding nearby. Climber grumbled to himself and sighed. He walked up to the unconscious statue and tried to lift him. He got him off the ground and into a bridal position before he stumbled and fell, still holding Karl in his arms.
He sat up and sighed.
"Ferris wheel, this is gonna be difficult.."
He stood up slowly, struggling under the weight of the large statue. In the end, he managed to lift Karl in his arms and walk around without falling on his face.
He looked for a way down and eventually he found one, he was careful with Karl as he went down. He knew the statue was strong but he couldn’t help but worry.
He gently stepped onto the ground and began to walk away from the commotion. The dragon-ish thing he had taken here was gone, Climber sighed once again and began to walk faster.
He tried taking longer steps and running but he kept on stumbling and almost falling so he stuck to walking. Climber hoped he could find somewhere safe, not only for him to rest, but for him to tend to Karl's head.
He looked up at the sky, attempting to brush off the fact that he nearly tripped over his own feet for the 30th time since he started carrying the statue. The sky was mostly clear, but he could see some ominous grey clouds rolling in from the distance.
He tried to also ignore how the ground suddenly began to shake as the sky and area around him changed colour. A bright flash of light coming from the main city.
Climbher’s eyes were wide as he started to try and run, stumbling but never completely dropping the statue held in his soft arms. Hopefully Karl hadn't died, Climber knew what it felt like to die. He would never wish that hellish experience upon someone else
