I will write my first fanfic of Honkai Impact 3rd! Although this story have changes form the original and I want to spice things up a bit with including a bit of ggz What do you guys think?If you have opinions,feel free to comment!

Chapter Text

Void Archives has been created 50,000 years ago.It did not remember it's memories from the Previous Era,but have slight glimpse of them.Its wishes to uncover more, although there's something that hold it from being astray to the original goal.They make sure it will follow those programming.

TO ERADICATE HONKAI AT ALL COST.

It waits patiently for a worthy person to hold his knowledge.Days turns to months,months turns to years. To be honest,it feels bored sitting around in one place.

Until one day,it meet those humans that called themselves Apocalypse and had been taken to hide,deep inside the underground of the cathedral.It did not understand why humans are so scared of it.Besides,it was created to help them in the first place.

Maybe because the existence of Honkai that makes them think suspiciously of it?Sure it used to be the core of the PE 1st hersscher,but it was reprogram to go against it's race.

In it's opinion,humans are so ridiculous and even fighting each other to the point that they forgot their true selves. And some of them do become the monsters that they swear to fight.The utter embarrassment it felt is so great that they want to scream so loud and slap the hell out of those bastards with its cube form.

To become a human is complicated.A human being needs to fulfill these certain aspects.Forgiveness,kind,generous, loving,brave, grateful,intelligent and so on.Humans does have different variations of themselves.Some become the dark projection of one self.

It doesn't favour those Apocalypse, suddenly appear out of nowhere and touching it's great form.How dare they didn't even greet it and just snatch it right there.If it have claws,those filthy humans that called themselves nobles will surely lose their pathetic face.

However,it seen a young woman from that family going in the battlefield when Honkai emerges one day.Strange for a noble to care for their citizens, considering their awfully lavish lifestyle that using money from the commoners.

The woman have bright blonde hair and shiny emerald eyes.Different from her family,she helps those in need and always communicate with them.She often sleeps in the orphanage since she always argue with her father. They have few disagreement and their views of this world are too different to meet eye to eye.

Sometimes,it watch that the woman brought her little brother playing out in the garden behind the cathedral.The boy thin body can clearly seen from his garment,pale skin as if he had incurable sickness.Obviously,he had same hair and eyes as the woman.They often gone out secretly,away form their so called family that had been nothing but cruel to them.They were two peas in a pod,after all.

Unfortunately,the woman died in the battlefield.The Apocalypse never reclaim her body,much given her proper burial.The Bishop gave orders to let the ungrateful daughter of his rot away.The Valkyrie just follow the orders, although some were in disagreement.This made the Kaslana family outrage,given to their compassion and pride as a knight.To them, dieing in the battlefield is a honour according to their oath.

The boy,Otto always crying late at night due to his sister misfortune.His sister that always guide him had finally leave him alone in this world.His family never considered them to be apart of Apocalypse family anyways.

It can feel the boy sadness yet those feeling never make it pity towards him.It can't feel emotions and never will be. It wonder if the boy will become like her sister or a monster like the rest of his family.

The sudden event make the Kaslana and Apocalypse grew apart from their cooperation.Despite that,the child of Kaslana never care about that as she still befriend the child of Apocalypse.In her eyes,Otto was not different from a lonely boy that nobody want to interact with.

Such a shame the girl's father died protecting them.It long knows that Judgement of Shamash will bring nothing but suffering to their wielders.This is the curse that had been passed down from their generation.

The girl crying beside her father coffin,lily flowers decorating the halls can't gave her the solace for losing a caring father. The boy sad gaze directing towards her as he stand in silence.

With a new determination,he bravely explored the underground it currently reside.It was impressed with the boy's resolution to make the girl happy.His shocked face make it giddy.That being said, nobody even witness it shining form and it long acknowledge the boy's wishes to brought back that Kaslana alive.They make their deal.

On the contrary,the girl didn't agree with the boy and even had some guts to slap him in the face.It actually proud of the girl beating some shit out of him.It rages towards the Apocalypse never dissipate all of those years.

Regardless,the girl hug him tightly and crying out loud.The boy decided to hold his deal as he embracef her.It just stared at them from a few feet away.

Kallen Kaslana,a prowess from the Kaslana family brought new hope as she grown stronger each day.Unlike her father,she wields the Oath of Judah.It seen a blurry image of a woman that was crucified when it saw the divine key.Then again,it never thought much about those thing.

The boy now grown into an intelligent young man,always stay closely with the Kaslana.He read so much from it's archives to achieve such feat.Although,his multiple experiments also paid off.Thanks to the boy(and it),the Black Death plague can finally be cured.

Things started to fall from there.Because of Schicksal ways,the Kaslana part way from the Apocalypse.The disappointed face of them etched deep in it's memory.

Not long after,the Kaslana died protecting the girl from Honkai beast.She was stabbed with the sharp claws,blood flows out from her stomach.The terrified screams of the young girl echoed in the silence of the night.

It avert it's attention to the boy that killed the rest of his family.In his rage,he was covered in blood of the sinners.Seems that the boy become like his family in the end.

It stay with the boy for 500 years as it was trapped inside his mind.Damn that boy,it never considered the possibility that he manage to do such feats.Nevermind then.It will wait for the right time to strike.

Deept inside it's consciousness,it see a white humanoid figure.For some reason,it recognize the being although that is just an analysis.The entity offered it to land on the palm, whispering sweet promises to it's form.The palm beneath him was so cold, different from the boy's warmth.It sense that this was honkai but can't not resist the temptation that has been engulfed it's archives earlier. It finally agree to what has been stored for him from the entity.

In a blind light,it's sight were blinded and it feels it's form slowly disintegrate. ... It can't hear or feel anything after that.Well,as long as it doesn't hear that annoying voice of that Apocalypse it will stay content.

It slowly wake up from it's consciousness and attempt to stand. Wait,stand...? It's turn around behind with it's quick reflex.In it's confusion,just to see it's form are different.The mirror reflects it's reflection certainly didn't help with the uneasiness it's feels.Rage slowly fill it's newly made heart.

Is this what the entity mean?It scowls as it's stare at it's reflection.What a nightmare to have the same face as your captor.Its sigh tiredly.

At least it's eyes are different from that boy, whereas it's more look like slightly honey colour.In it's opinion,one way to describe it's eyes are shimmering and bright. It's eyes had a deep,earthy glow with sparkling through.A truly golden shimmer that shine so bright that it gleamed from it's face to the depths of it's reborn soul.

It look beside him,what greets it is a vase full of white lily flower.it gently pick one of the flowers and sniff .A wave of fragrance hit it's new senses.However,it's just gaze at the flower softly.

Well,it will give a try to become a human...

"Pardon me,great sir.Do you need anything?"

It look at his left side to see a worker approach it,calmly asking it if it have some problem.Well,at least some human have basic decency.It realize that it was inside a retail shop, enormous line of clothing hanging up on the rack beside it.

"...It's nothing."

The worker have trouble look on her face,brown eyes showing some doubt.Though few seconds later she just let it go and wish it for having a good time.

It let out a slight huff,feeling glad that someone didn't interrupt it's personal space.Not like that pathetic man,who every day annoyed him to death.At last ,it can finally take some rest.

Everything feels so foreign.Many humans hustling on the streets,brushing against each other since there are not enough space for the whole crowd.It feels uncomfortable with the current situation and rush out before things get escalated further.

It currently support it's weight with holding to the wall while walking since it can't walk perfectly yet.This is first time it have human form,otherwise it will be flowing away with it in cube form.

'Why walking is so hard?No wonder the human babies face such difficulty when they learn how to walk on their own.'

It feels slightly ashamed since it views itself as a baby,trying it's best to walk normally.It surely need some exercise to strengthen the muscle of the legs.In this way,it can perform exceptionally well in it's task of learning to walk.

Afterward,it suddenly encounters some strange circumstance.It get a glimpse of a toddler, probably around 2-3 years old from the look at her growth in the street.It feels weird,it's beating hard become faster as each seconds pass.Not only that,it can feel it's breath pace quicker than usual.

It make a decision to never like this feeling.

It swiftly use teleportation to grab the toddler and bring them out of there.It saw a big truck that's just drive above the recommend speed and waste no time to complete it's objective.It's gently holding the toddler, remembering how a mother will do when they attempt to calm their babies down.

They were teleport in a big forest that covering mostly thousands perimeter.In general,it feels joyful to get away from the busy streets.The ringing noise it heard have finally stop.All it can hear is the gentle breeze leaving it's skin cold in the hot summer.Futhermore,it see that the toddler is enjoying that too.

The toddler giggling,clearly happy that her saviour giving her some attention.Her frosty blue eyes reminded it of the blue moon.So dissimilar from it's honey warm eyes that resembles closely to the sun.Her white hair just points it out that she's a Kaslana,a one that closely resemble to the Holy Maid.

It wonder if this child will also face the tragic fate of Kaslana bloodline.Surely she will become a Valkyrie due to her oath and blood.That rascal will not let important assets goes to waste, considering his obsession with reviving the woman.

It is apart of the plan...

But not anymore.

It's finally free from that carefully created cage.

It will not let this opportunity frittering away.

So if it can be freed,does Kaslana can free themselves too?

It can't find the answers since it doesn't have any records of that.

But it will record everything.

For it was humanities archive.

That was the task it was given the day it was created.

Eventhough it made a deal with the entity, it's duty will never change.

It knows that it's archive and programming had been corrupted through its entire system the moment it touch the honkai.

Honkai wants it to succumb in their existence.

But it will retains it true self,just like the Hersscher of Reason in this era.

If a herrscher can achieve such feat,why it can't do the same?

Just because it a weapon,it can't have the will to fight?

Or because it can't do anything about it's programming?

Nevertheless,it's messed up programming free it's restrictions of showing its true capabilities.They can now projecting it's replicas of divine keys stronger than before.
And make decisions based on its feelings and logical,not with the leading of the programmes.

Honkai does gave what it wants,but does it wants to give honkai what they want?

It still wishes to explore this world.

Why does it still wants to be an archive?It can just abondon it's duty and walk away.

Nonetheless, it can't.It wishes to make it's creator proud of it.

A light tap bring it out of it's daydream.The Kaslana point out her finger towards the pathway that leading to the building of Schicksal.This is not a good situation.

Well,it's just needs to drop her back to her home and walking away right?

Sensing it's nervousness,the Kaslana tap it's cheeks gently.
It's smile and nodding it's head.

Before it walk,they heard a voice searching for someone.

"Kiana!Where are you?Mom is here!"

The Kaslana named Kiana giggling and smiling when she heard her mother voice.It gazing softly at her actions.

'Kiana.A befitting name for little moon.'

"Kiana!"

Cecilia rushing towards them and let out a relaxed huff.Her face lit up and thanking the young man.Suddenly,she stop just in time her reaction gradually changing to fear.

"...Overseer?What are you doing here?Why Kiana is with you?"

She stutter, trembling as she imagining the worse outcome.Both Siegfried and her long knows that Otto have desire to run an experiment on their baby.Thats why they take turns to take care of Kiana, fearing that someday Otto will cross the lines.

"I'm sorry ma'am,I'm not the Overseer of Schicksal.I'm just a doctor travelling here far from my home."

It feels unhappy to being recognized as the damn captor.It never wants to involve itself with that obsessive man.As a result,it does have some understanding with Cecilia, Siegfried and Anti-Entropy reaction to Otto's madness.

Cecilia wary gaze just make it upsets further than it thought.
It have trouble to control it's emotions and it's neurological system makes it very sensitive towards everything.It did not realize that its face grimacing from the thought of certain man.

Seeing his genuine reaction, Cecilia expression slowly becomes gentle.She approach them delicately in order to not make them feel unwelcome.If everything they said is true,how come their face closely resemble the Overseer?Do they a long lost Overseer's twin? Although according to history,Overseer is the last remaining Apocalypse alongside her dear friend,Theresa.

Could someone escape from the civil war and went hiding?
This is the only answer that seems logical.

Or worse,could they be one of Otto's clones?But their eyes are different.Overseer's dull green eyes are full of sickening obsession he own towards the Holy Maid.On the contrary,their honey warmth eyes are shining brightly and full of life.It reminds Cecilia of the sun.

Even their expression are different.Overseer mask his true intentions and feels like a hollow soul.They(VA) does show expressions more although they are a serious person.

"Mama,mama!Pwetty bwother save me fwom a big twuck!"

Kiana hold her hands up cheerfully, waiting for her mother to pick her up.Cecillia shocked expression turn to more of a tender mother.

"Is that so?I deeply give my thanks to you,kind one."

Cecilia pick up Kiana,bowing slightly towards them.Now she determine that it is fine to believe them.The gentle gaze they had on Kiana reveal that they are a kind and loving soul.

On the other hand,it just denied and insist that she doesn't need to thank it.It just did what human beings will do.
Though,it feel colder than before and can see the darkness behind Cecilia.What is that?

Meanwhile, Cecilia feels guilty for suspecting this sweet being and surely will whack her husband head at home.He seems to forget that he is the one who watch over Kiana while she was busy completing task that Overseer had signed her up for.

She feels relief that Kiana is safe and not injured.Grateful that she meet an innocent soul.This ease her mind after all the talk about Holy Maid with the Overseer just a few hours ago.

"What do I call you?Oh,do you have preferably view as a he, she or them?"

She ask,afraid to offended the person in front of him.

'My name?Does Void Archives even classified as a name?'

It takes some time to think, hoping that it find new resolve.
Creator does named him Void Archives,but that's for it's existence as a system.Its a human now.

"I don't remember anything.To be precise,I don't have a name on the moment.I wish to view as a them ,please."

Cecilia surprise to know that this gentle being doesn't remember anything, except their job.She smiles, slowly grasp their right hand.

" Do you want to be apart of my family?"

They stare at her, feeling ridiculous of that question.Why they are up for adoption?They clearly can stand on their own feet.Well,minus a few minutes ago.They want to take down the opportunity,but the ringing of the phone interrupt them.They quietly hiss when they feel the sound can bleed their sensitive ears.

"Hello,darling.Ah yes Kiana is here with me,and we will need to talk regarding her."

They trembling with the amount of dark aura release from Cecilia.Kiana just doing her own business,gazing eagerly at the clear blue sky.

"And we will adopt a new child!🎵"

'But we don't want!'

They could just suffers inside their mind.

"WAIT,WHAAATTT!!!"

Siegfried's scream echoed throughout Schicksal and everyone can hear him.All of them just shaking their heads awkwardly.

The whirring of the machines breaks the silence inside the dark room.There's many test subject here, although all of them seem to appear unconsciousness.They resembles each other a lot.

Of course they are all her clone.

Otto creating every new batch as the oldest one begin to disintegrate.He will not stop as long as this project become successful.Not when he's already near getting his answers.

Only VA know what truly happen to those deem failures in his eyes.Deep within their consciousness,they observe the madman slice apart of the subjects' body and burning them secretly in the incinerator.Some of them are thrown carelessly by him and bloods will decorate the lab.

That boy also step on the subjects and repeatedly hit them,until their organs are coming out from the bodies.

Meanwhile the rest of the subjects' need to fight with each other to death in order to show their usefulness to the Overseer.

Those who fail will get their stomach rip alive by Otto in his rage.He sometimes beheaded them or torture them until they lost will to live.

VA knows that Otto love to break the subjects' fingers,pull their nails out and cut them slowly.Their toe get the similar treatment too.

Screaming echoes in the dead midnight as the torture goes on.All of them have horrified look on their faces as they wait their doom.Some that escape have caught by Otto and he cut their tongues, pull their eyes and teeth out as punishment.

Why didn't the security install CCTV here?Oh,they forgot.This psychopath is the Overseer that lead his forces.

"HAHAHAAHA,my dear friend do you love my performance?"

Otto summons VA on his bloodied palm,showing them the multiple corpse that are on the floor.Bloods soil the once clean floor of the lab.There's some on the walls too.

That scientist laugh out loud like a crazy man.VA just ignore him and gazing the entire scene in front of them.The bloodied scene reminds him of that time.

Their entire form suddenly get crush by that boy,as if he wants to breaks them apart.VA nearly howl in agony when that madman increase the pressure.They can't stop him since they have been trapped inside his mind,unable to defend themselves from the psychopath.

"Tsk,tsk.YOU SUPPOSE TO ANSWER WHEN I ASK,VOID ARCHIVE!"

The sharp knife that he hold in his right hand is stab on them, although it didn't go through their cube form.Still,they indeed feel the pain and it's unpleasant when he twist the knife and dragging it slowly on their cube form.

If the boy doesn't release his anger towards the subjects,VA will be the victim of the abuse.Occasionally,Otto will abuse them in his mind.This was started since Kallen's death 500 years ago.

Otto stop when he notice that there are scratches on the cube form.He thrust the knife on them once again.VA just accept their fate,waiting for their system to recover from the pain.

Sharp green eyes glints dangerously on them as they not making any noise.A maniacal grin settles upon his face, tossing the cube up and down in his left hand.

"In the end,your own stubbornness will lead to your downfall,my dear archive."

VA have gone back to their own prison inside his mind.They are in silence as they keep recalling the child's face all over again.VA can't help her during that time since its not their objective.They only hope that she will be in heaven with those that had perished against Honkai.

Heaven is adore by humans being and VA often hear that innocent and kind souls will reside there and live peacefully. Humans describe that there are many kinds of plants and animals in heaven,alongside blue sky and bright sun.

They are sure that these test subjects will be in heaven. Somewhere in their system,they feel confused as why they have such thoughts.

It doesn't matter.

At least two out all of those test subject survive.A-303 and A-310 will live as her legacy.

VA thought that the madman will stop when the two test subjects passed.Seems VA can't predict Otto after all these years.He still wants to revive the original Kallen.

Is it even worth it?

Is this what true human being is?

According to 2nd flame-chasers, humans are beautiful in every other way.

'...it appears you're wrong.But I will still record everything I need to gain data on true humanity.'

Unfortunately,this just make VA hatred towards Otto grow. One day,they will make sure he pays the price.
