Chapter Text
The room Kenji was shown to had six different bunks and he wad told to put his bag down on the one against the wall on the the other side of the room from the door. Every wall he had seen since arriving was painted the same bland grey shade that anyone could go insane by if they stared at it for too long, while the few corridors and rooms that looked extravagant were already made clear to be for people on the higher end of the Reestablishment and not for the poor peasants that came scrounging for work, just as he had. The bunks in the room were all empty and any belongings present had been sorted into draws or shoved under the beds. It gave Kenji the impression that no one stayed in one place for too long.
In truth he had the option to stay back on omega point but that would've only meant that Winston had to go instead which he wasn't so fond off and, while he wasn't vocal about it, it was clear Brendon was strongly opposed to the idea as well. (When were they just going to confess their undying love to each other and make out?) But anyway, he didn't want Winston to go so the only other option was that he was here. If he was being honest with himself, he felt slightly disappointed that Castle had chosen Kenji for the task instead of someone else but apparently his ability to turn invisible was highly valued.
The door burst open behind him, snapping him out of his thoughts and a bunch of loud voices filled the room. Kenji's roommates, he imagined. Turning round he was met with three other men, one of which was rubbing his arms and looked slightly blue. They hadn't seemed to notice him yet. "I'm so sick of doing patrol outside, its always FREEZING" moaned the slightly blue one (in his head, Kenji did question why the man was sporting a short sleeved t-shirt if he knew how the temperature was going to be). "You only have yourself to blame to be honest, if you weren't so fond of sleeping in you wouldn't be so late that you get punished" chastised a brunette, that although was short made up for it in muscle. The third, who looked to be the youngest and was definitely only just an adult, had finally caught sight of the intruder and began to speak up, "guys stop bickering for a second, the new initiate is here". Kenji mentally scoffed at that, and the other two boys had stopped speaking and turned to stare at him. "Hello, I'm Kenji" he said sticking out a hand, if he was going to stay with these guys he might as well try to make friends. The three boys exchanged a look before the short one reached out and shook Kenji's hand. "Hi, I'm Lance, this idiot" he gesturing to the tall brunette he was previously arguing with "Is rick," Rick suddenly chips in "short for maverick, you know, like in top gun."
"Sure thing Richard" Lance said rolling his eyes and giving Kenji a look talk said 'just ignore him, he's stupid'
"I haven't seen top gun, but okay" He said truthfully, he'd heard of the film brought up in discussion sometimes but other than that he had no clue what it was. Rick gave a overdramatic gasp but before he could say anything Lance continued "it doesn't matter, anyway, this is Oliver he was the last one to join before you" he said casting a look to the young boy who was nervously fiddling with his glasses. "Happy your not the newbie anymore, Olly?" Rick said, a slight mocking in his voice. "Will you stop teasing him for once, and you" he turned back to Oliver "bite back once in a while he has no right to push you about, if anything your better than him, you don't go around breaking rules for the sake of it." A shrill bell ran interrupting the awkward introduction Kenji was being given, and he was secretly relieved. "Oh yeah, bell means food" Lance quickly added. "yay, we get to dine with the snake" Rick said sarcastically. "For him to be a snake he would need to be alive, and you know- have a soul" Oliver chipped in getting a snigger back from Rick. Lance noticed Kenji's confused expression, "The head of sector 45 tends to dine with his soldiers. Albeit, dine is a strong word, he hardly ever eats, hence why he isn't alive and has no soul. I think he's a robot, I wouldn't be surprised." Kenji nodded. He knew of the cruelty in which the leader of sector 45 exhibited, how he was a literal monster sent from hell. If it weren't for Kenji's mission he would do everyone a favour and shoot him right then and there. And now he is being told he has to eat alongside him too. Maybe Winston should've come instead.
Stepping through a door the group came back into the inviting luxury sector 45 presents itself with. Chandeliers hang from the ceiling and things were coated in gold, real or fake it was still gold. Kenji followed his new companions into a large hall where three long tables filled the space. The tables on the left and right were nothing out of the ordinary and other soldiers stood behind their chairs waiting for further instruction, no chairs were placed at either head. The middle table however, was far more extravagant and had a large ornate chair on one head of the table. Again the people sitting in that row were also stood behind their chairs, though it was clear they were of higher authority. Lance lead Kenji to an empty seat next to him and Rick placed himself on his other side and began to wait for instruction.
Suddenly the doors burst open and someone's footsteps began to echo through the room, even from his footsteps he commanded respect demonstrated his power. The tension that had occurred was so thick you could slice it with a knife. Anticipation started to flow through the atmosphere. Then he passed by, Kenji could only see so much due to the line of men opposite him, obstructing his view but from what he could see was that infamous creature that haunted sector 45 was passing by. Strong facial features greeted him and neat blonde hair. He was wearing all black and his boots shined so much you could see the halls ceiling reflecting in them. He pulled out his chair, it screeched across the floor. A cool voice commanded "sit." In an instant everybody sat down. Kenji was just about to slow, his inexperience here shinning through. It was only a second, however apparently it was only a second the menacing leader of this sector needed. His head sharply turned and his dark green eyes pierced Kenji.
---
It seemed that the one mistake Kenji had made had set him up for a life of misery. The next morning he was woken up at 5:00 by Lance and was informed, by a very grumpy, tired looking, Rick he was going to join him on patrol. Lance and Oliver seemed to be surprised by this apparently it wasn't too common to be placed on jobs like that on your first day. Kenji shrugged it off but internally remembered the reason why. He got out of bed and started getting dressed, mindfully putting on a long sleeved shirt after seeing Rick's return the day prior. All the while thinking about the emerald green eyes that had surveyed him over dinner, it turned out to be more that just the one glance and it felt like he was being watch the whole time. Those green eyes and a snide of disgust over his face. Kenji shivered. "You too better be off, nothing good will happen if Kenji's caught late with you" he directed it Rick who pushed himself off his bunk with a sense of great difficultly. Kenji couldn't blame him.
Wearing a long sleeved shirt was not a good idea. Patrol required a surprising amount of running and, only two hours in, Kenji was drenched with sweat. He thought that it was probably a massive punishment just for that sake of it, just so whoever else had to stand out here and yell at them could get a kick out of it. No matter how much running Kenji did, if he stood still for more than two seconds the cold seized him. Within seconds he went from a sweating mess to an explorer in the arctic who thought it would be a good idea to go skinny dipping in the middle of a frozen lake. Okay, maybe that was a bit over the top, but it was still freezing. No toilet breaks were permitted and you were forced to work all day till 7:00 pm, when the night shift took over (Kenji imagined it to be an even worse fate). It was currently 1:00 pm and he and Rick had stopped to grab some food, a ham sandwich which in all honesty was more than he expected, when suddenly a large black tank pulled up at the base of patrol. He thought it would just be another commander to shove us around, but then a pair of gleaming boots began to step out the tank. Kenji paled. The strong figure of the head of sector 45 hit the ground, his blonde har nicely parted. Today though, Kenji could see him fully, he was wearing a long black coat, black turtleneck, black jeans, and obviously his shining leather boots. Maybe he wears black to reflect how he was inside dark and empty. Part of Kenji envied him though, that turtleneck look really warm and soft and he bet it smelt amaz- wait. What. The. Fuck. Why on earth would he, Kenji Kishimoto, spy for omega point (currently undercover as a poor young man in need of a home, food and work) be wondering if, the most evil, cruel, malicious person the world has ever seen, yet to be confirmed if he was sent by satan himself, the leader of sector 45's turtleneck. Smelt. Nice. Surely he was going insane.
"Hello, earth to Kenji" Ricks voice called as he reached out to lightly pull on Kenji's arm. Snapping him out of his thoughts, probably for the best, "yeah, what"
"You just fully zoned out dude, besides we should probably scram I certainly don't want to be around any place that guy is when I don't have too" he nodded over to the green eyed blonde that was currently standing straight up scanning his surroundings. "You don't have to tell me twice" Kenji replied turning away and purposely walking in the other direction.
They stayed clear of that area for the next three hours by the time they started making their way back all they could do was pray he was no longer there. The already cold weather became suddenly even colder so Rick and Kenji were running to keep warm, soon enough it became a race they laughed as they barrelled down alleyways to avoid any one higher than them (practically everyone) catching them. Then suddenly a sharp turn came up and maybe it was due to the fact Kenji was to focused on Rick or maybe it was because he was going at to fast a pace that instead of rounding the corner he swerved, careering to the right and fell face first into the mud. He expected to hear a laugh coming from Rick, however it was dead silent. Had he left him there? Was he to stunned at Kenji's stupidity to speak? The answer was neither, as he pushed himself off the ground, a wide grin plastered on his face he saw Rick standing facing further down the street. Wiping the mud from his eyes and face, he looked up. In an instant his grin was gone and instead a sheet of fear was pushed on top of him. Looking ahead stood the menacing figure he had come to hate, his jaw clenched in fury, his green eyes seemed to be lit up in fury...shit.
Chapter 2: Chapter 2
Chapter Text
Shit, shit, shit. There was nothing else to say. He was hauled up off the ground by a two pairs of gruff hands, while the green eyed beast just glared in disgust. So disgusted to the point he had called over two soldiers to lift him up instead of doing it himself, or maybe he just didn't want to get mud all over his pristine clothes. Either way he didn't approach. Rick stood near him, frozen in fear. The blondes gaze left him and turned to Rick "leave, as of tomorrow you will do the day and night shifts until further instruction" his command left no room for question, not that Kenji could think of a reason why any one on this planet would be stupid enough to disobey. Turning back to focus on Kenji he ordered "take him to the tank, make sure he doesn't leave and under no circumstances move him until I get back."
"Yes sir" the soldiers replied in sync before dragging Kenji away. He was strangely compliant possibly due to the fear that was building inside of him. He was so fucked. He had one job, get information not this. It was his own fault and he was sure Castle would never forgive him. He would die at the hands of that green eyed bastard, or maybe he would just get someone else to shoot him, and never get to say goodbye.
At some point during Kenji's thoughts were interrupted as he was pushed so violently into the tank he almost tripped (luckily he caught himself, no good would come if he fell again). The door slammed and he was sent into darkness, the only light came from the small window above where the turret was situated. He sat in the dark for ages. He had no concept of time and had no clue if had been five minutes or two hours, all he could do was sit there blindly. His mind differed to those deep green eyes that bore into his soul they were gorgeous, horribly gorgeous, just like the rest of him. With his sharp jawline and strong build, impeccable fashion. In the way he carried himself, unwavering and determined. Jesus, what was happening? Why was Kenji just sitting here in the dark, not even bothering to think of an escape and instead dreaming of his future murderer's GREEN EYES. Get a grip Kenji. Possibly, he could turn invisible wait till he got back and leave. But that presented the challenge of slipping past him when there was little to no room for one person let alone two. He would just have to face it, if things had to south he would simply shove that blonde bastard out the way and run till he found somewhere to hide, turn invisible and sneak away. Maybe he should just do that anyway. Okay, so Kenji had a plan. No matter what, get out. Simple. Then why was he stressing so much? He was beginning to sweat more than he had earlier that day running about.
Without warning, the metal door swung open. Kenji stood and prepared to barrel past. 3..2..1.. He launched forward and, instead of flying out of the tank and bolting down the road, was met with a wall off resistance so he went flying backwards landing in a sprawled heap on the floor. "You can't be that stupid to assume you could just run away." A cool, aggravated voice called. His green eyes glowed like a cat's in the dark. He stepped fully into the tank, pulled the door closed, pointedly locking it, (Apparently Kenji was so stupid he would attempt to jump out a moving tank.) The leader of sector 45 moved to sit behind the controls, turning the engine on. They began to move, Kenji pulled himself up enough to sit on the cold slab of steal portrayed as a bench. The journey was silent, and when they arrived two men came inside thee tank to disable Kenji and take him away.
He was pulled through the building, trailing after the blonde bastard. They turned through several corridors and went up five floors in the lift. All while Kenji sagged weakly between the two soldiers. On this floor everything was nicer, the walls weren't a boring grey or harsh white, adorned with gold. The walls here were a soft off white. Kenji finally saw his destination when a dark oak door was opened to let them through. The room he had been not so kindly escorted into appeared to be an office, even more than that almost every side had shelves that stretched ceiling to floor with full of books. Kenji added that to the list of reasons why the Reestablishment was a bunch of bollocks, destroy all literature in the world unless your a significant person? What a joke. A large desk was placed in front of him and the beast was making his way round it to sit down. "Leave us" he said when he was comfortably situated. Simultaneously, the guards let go of Kenji (promptly eating him fall to thee ground) and left, the door slamming behind them.
Kenji wished he wasn't dropped purely due to the fact that his mud drenched body had made an ugly brown mark on the nice carpet. "Stand up" the crisp voice decreed. Kenji pushed himself up, stared meekly at the stain before turning his attention to the devil that was watching him attentively. "Come forward " he was told, Kenji walked toward to the desk and stood tall, making sure his posture was correct. "Kishimoto, you have been here less than 24 hours and yet y have still managed to make a disgrace of yourself, you have come to my sector headquarters requesting a job and shelter and have proceeded to bring only disrepute." He looked at Kenji, as if daring him to say something, but Kenji stayed still. However now that he was up close to his enemy he caught sight of the golden badge placed on the blonde's blazer, it read 'A. Warner', he assumed it was the name that belonged to the satan spawn that was about to shoot his brains out. Warner began to speak again. "From now on you will attend to me as personal guard, seen as my last one ended up displacing my trust and you have manned to catch my attention. You will be here at 4:30 on the dot every morning without fail and will stay with me until I dismiss you. Understood?" He posed it as a question even though there was clearly no option otherwise. "Yes, Sir" Kenji replied dutifully. "Now leave, get cleaned up I will be expecting you to meet me back here at 7:00 tonight to accompany me to dinner."
"Yes, Sir," was all Kenji said before turning around and leaving the office. He somehow walked steadily all the way to the stair well he has spotted, preferring to get back to his room this way instead off the elevator.
He got to flights down before he had to stop and collapse against the wall. He wasn't dead. Thank god he wast dead. And now he was in the most perfect position to complete his task and get back to omega point. He took a moment to just sit there and breathe before remembering about how he needed a shower and was supposed to be presented next to Warner over dinner. He hauled himself up and made his way back to his dorm.
---
He arrived to his dorm before anyone else, which gave him the opportunity to take a shower as soon as he got back. It was 6:20 by the time he had finished and when he looked at his bunk there was a new uniform placed on top of it. He put it on and checked himself out in the mirror. It was relatively similar to his old one, still black containing a pair of cargos and t-shirt, although this time he had been given a holster and two guns (surprisingly loaded with spare ammunition on the side) and a silver badge of the Reestablishment's crest. "Oh shit, your not dead!" Rick's relived voice filled the room. "Surprise" Kenji said in reply, putting his hands up and doing some theatric jazz hands. "Oh, and I'm sorry about you having to do night shifts"
"It's all right I saw it coming, besides I heard from David that they all drink whiskey to keep warm so it wont be the worst thing in the world. What about you? They boot you or summin?" Rick questioned looking Kenji up and down with a puzzled face. "Boot me? I thought I was as good as dead, but then all of a sudden the leader of this hell hole was promoting me to his personal guard." Rick's jaw dropped. "He did WHAT,"
"I know it makes no sense" Kenji shrugged. "How are you possibly calm about this, I'm losing my shit and I'm not even involved"
"I guess I'm just really shocked,"
"Heys guys, how was your fist day of patrol Kenji" Lance had walked into the room looking exhausted. "Apparently also my last" Kenji said in response, gesturing to his change in outfit as Lance raised an eyebrow. "Yeah newbie here is suddenly Mr Psychotic Robot's favourite person," Rick chipped in. "What did you do?" Lance asked accusingly. "I told you to keep him out of trouble and now you've put him right under the nose of that asshole,"
"I didn't mean to" Rick put up his hands in surrender "If anything I was the one who came off worse, Im part of the night shift gang as well apparently, or maybe having to constantly surround that demon for the foreseeable future is the bigger punishment," Kenji looked over at the clock to discover it was now 6:47. "Guys I need to shift it, Im supposed to attend dinner with Warner tonight, and probably every night from now on, see you later though"
"Warner? Since when did he have a name?" Rick sneered. "Yeah, anyway sending prayers' Lance said as Kenji opened the door.
He moved quickly through the corridors and up the stairs and was thankful when the bell ran as he knocked on the big oak door. "Come in," Kenji opened the door t see Warner sitting behind his desk flicking through different pages of paperwork. "Im surprised, I was under the impression that your new acquaintance Maverick would have imprinted his tendency to be late." He briefly looked up looking Kenji up and down. "No,sir." He said, feeling the need to say something and making a note to inform Lance that Rick's name did appear to be short for Maverick. Warner mad a grunting noise and looked back down picking up a pen and proceeded to start writing on one of the sheets. Kenji understood now why it felt like he was standing forever behind his chair to be allowed to sit. The head of sector 45 was not rushed, if he wanted to continue a task, he would do so with no haste to get down stairs. Kenji began to feel strangely awkward just standing infront of the door but had been given no indication to move, or to do anything at all. So instead he looked around, in the middle of the room, in between the desk and door was a coffee table with two black sofas opposed to each other. To the right of the desk was another door very similar to the one leading to the office and to the left of the desk was a reclined armchair. A small table placed next to it, on top stood a record player and held underneath were a series of vinyl cases lined up next to each other. When Kenji looked back to the desk to find a pair of green eyes watching him again. Warner stood up dusting the imaginary speaks of dirt of his blazer and started walking towards the door, on instinct Kenji stepped aside and pulled open the door to let Warner pass. He left the room without comment and Kenji followed closely after. Neither of them spoke, well more accurately Warner didn't speak meaning Kenji wasn't supposed to speak.
It only dawned on the Kenji the impression he would make, walking into that hall, when they reached the door. Every soldier would stare and him walking behind the leader of sector 45, the most infamously cruel man to exist. Okay, now Kenji had said if he was beginning to get more and more anxious his Palma becoming sweaty.
The doors were pushed open and all Kenji was do was pull himself up, and lift his head high. They stared, everyone stared. Just as he predicted. It felt like that one dream where you show up to school in in only your underwear and everyone points, laughs, and whispered under their breath while they stared at you. He ignored it and kept a steady, unfaltering pace behind Warner. He took the empty seat next to the head of the table, the one he assumed was his and waited until he was told to sit.
The food on the middle table was also exceptionally good compared to where he was sitting the prior night. While he ate he couldn't help but notice Warner's plate remains empty the whole time and he spent most of the time taking aimless sips of water. This wouldn't have been an issue except for the fact that when Kenji eats, Kenji eats. And it is not a pretty sight, he might have well been a wild animal and now he was feeling a certain amount of pressure to not behave like now. But it was clear that he wasn't doing a very god job of it when he looked over so seen a distinct face of disgust and revulsion written all of Warners face. It was fairly soon after that Kenji's meal came to an end, he had the courtesy to wipe his face with napkin, unsure of what to do next he just sat back and waited.
Eventually Warner got up to leave and Kenji decided to follow suit. He spent the rest of his evening standing dutifully behind Warner as he worked continuing to gaze around the room. Eventually it got to 12:30 when finally he spoke "Kishimoto, you are dismissed I expect you here tomorrow morning at 4:30 am,"
"Yes,sir" Kenji replied, signalling he understood then made his way to the door. Taking one last look back to see the same green eyes piercing through him.
Chapter 3: Chapter 3
Chapter Text
The next couple days we're all the same. Wake up, make his way to the fifth floor stand awkwardly behind Warner, follow him to his meetings, mostly he was told to wait outside, however on the odd occasion he was invited in he was told to stand behind Warner's chair (secretly absorbing every drop of information). Everyday he would sit in the back of the tank as Warner drove to the the sector's residency where he would stroll about for ages, to Kenji it had no real purpose but maybe he just didn't know enough. It was repetitive, but Kenji found it rather nice, not having to exhibit any physically straining behaviour like when he was on patrol.
The only thing that slightly got to him was the quiet. Warner hardly ever spoke. Warner hardly ever made a noise. It drove Kenji slightly insane, he liked noise, he was loud. But in here he just stood silent, twiddling his thumbs and biting his lip. Rick was right, although he had to do the night shift, at least he wasn't stood constantly under Warner's nose, frozen in fear, panicking about fucking up right in front of the leader of sector 45. Especially with the little to no instructions he was provided. Kenji often wanted to slap himself whenever his palms began getting sweaty, what was he even nervous about? If anything ever went south, he could simply turn invisible and sneak off. But he was nervous. And it wasn't the anxiety that came from fear. No, it strangely came from the thought he might disappoint, which was stupid, really fucking stupid. But he couldn't help it. His heart would unexpectedly flip if he saw those green eyes staring him down (which happened more then he would like). He spent his time studying his face, seen as there was not else to really look at, it was somehow perfect. No imperfections, just strong definition and flawless symmetry. No, no, no, no. Stop. He was a horrible monster. He kills for the sake of killing. Why would god make him so gorgeous just for him to be evil. Ughhhh, what was happening to him.
It had been a week since it this job had started. They were currently doing Warner's daily rounds around the blocks of housing containers. And after days of not speaking (other than the occasional barked order). Warner suddenly stopped and asked Kenji's a question, "Kishimoto, where did you live, before? There is no record of you or your name in Sector 45." He didn't know what was more surprising, that Warner was talking to him like a normal person or how absurd the question itself was. "I used to live in another state with my mum and dad, however they immigrated from Japan when I was really young, Sir" Kenji winced as he realised the two crimes he had just committed, even bringing up places that used to exist could get you serious trouble. Warner didn't look to troubled though "Then why are you here now?" It felt more like an accusation than a question. "Well my parents were shot when I was young, so I ran away and just grew up out of the Reestablishment till I decided I needed help, Sir" It was a half truth, Kenji's parents had been shot when he was young and he decided to run, however he was soon found by Castle who took him in. Warner stared at him, looking him up and down before continuing walking, leaving Kenji standing for a split second. Baffled.
He didn't know where Warner had gone. They were still walking about. Then all of a sudden, he was gone. Disappeared, well done Kenji. The one job you had been given, protect Warner and you couldn't even do that. Fuck. He retraced his steps, steadily becoming more urgent. Looking down alleyways and peering round corners. He was about to call out his name when he came to a stop looking down a road.
Warner was crouched down to the floor holding out what looked to half a breakfast bagel. Kenji pulled a confused face until he saw the little scruffy creature bouncing forward to receive the treat he'd been offered. Kenji half expected Warner to yank it back at the last second, but was shocked to see that not only did he hand over the bagel to the dog that was now wagging its tale in delight but also then picked the thing up. Pulling it to his chest as he stood up. And Kenji had to clamp his hand over his moth to prevent the noise of shock he made when the dog started licking Warner's nose, and instead of throwing it to the ground and shooting it. He smiled. He smiled and even let out a small chuckle. Then Kenji saw it, dimples. The most dangerous, malicious, evil, cruel man in the world. Leader of sector 45. Had dimples.
He had dimples. Dimples. Dimples. He couldn't get the image out of his head. Kenji had quickly backed out of sight when he saw Warner start to put the flea ridden creature down and strategically rounded the corner again as if he hadn't been there the whole time. "My apologies, I lost sight of you Sir" Kenji said trying to sound as normal as possibly. Warner didn't reply just walked briskly past heading back towards the tank.
Kenji was stuck in a haze, the scene kept replaying over and over again in his head. He couldn't get rid of it. Maybe he didn't want to. No, that was stupid. Of course he wanted to. Warner was savage and brutal. He did not befriend stray dogs hiding behind dumpsters. When they got back to the camp set up for those on patrol, the tank parked close by, a soldier came up and started informing Warner about some security issue. He looked aggravated when he turned to Kenji and said "Kishimoto, stay here until I get back" and promptly left.
"Kenji," a familiar voice called. he turned to see rick making his way over, red in the face. "Where'd you new friend go?"
"I don't know, he just told me to stay here then wandered off" He answered walking over to meet Rick the rest of the way. "I've been meaning to talk to you actually, but I haven't had the chance due to our new timetables."
"I know, I keep meaning to catch you before I leave but you knocked out every morning."
"That's not my fault, I'm not waking up any earlier than I need to. Anyway what I was going to tell you that as of tonight we have a new roommate" Kenji opened his mouth to reply however was cut off as an angry looking blonde came into view, he didn't need to say anything to understand he was meant to follow him over to the tank. He put a hand up to Rick signalling he was leaving and hurried left.
Warner was pissed. He didn't know why, he just was. This equated to Kenji still standing in his office as the clock ticked towards 3:00 am. He was exhausted, and while her tried his hardest, couldn't prevent the way his posture sagged and eyes fluttered shut every now and then. "Kishimoto, if your planning to sleep you better get out off my office when you do it." A sharp voice snapped. He looked up to find that Warner had swivelled his chair round to face him and was now studying his slumping body with verdant eyes. "Uhh," Kenji drooled pulling himself together to muster a weak "Sorry, Sir." Warner let out an exasperated sigh and waved him off. "Just go. Don't bother showing up tomorrow either, I'm going away for the day, and will have a division taking your place. While I'm gone I suggest you spend your time doing something worth while." Kenji assumed that 'I suggest' was really just code for 'I'm telling you to do something worth while' which basically narrowed down to 'It is not a day off, you still need to work.' Nevertheless he still slinked away and was grateful to be dismissed.
When he returned to his rooms he saw that all of his roommates were still awake. As well as a new guy who had short brown hair and was quite tall. They turned to him as he opened the door and Oliver let out a relived sigh. "Thank god your back, I thought you were been dead." He said taking off his glasses and cleaning them with his sleeve. "Literally dude, that radge looked mega pissed earlier." Rick said"Oh, and this is Adam Kent" he added pointing to the stranger who then held out a long boney hand. "Kenji" he announced as he shook, Adam's grip was firm. "You new here?" Kenji queried. "No, I just moved in here because I'm not going to be able to stay at home as much anymore, I need the money." Adam filled in. The others continued to chat while Kenji got out of his uniform and ready to sleep. "I meant to ask but have you been dismissed for tomorrow Kenji" Lance said. "Yeah, it was super weird, why?"
"Well the rest of us are off too, well Oliver, Adam and me. Rick has to do his patrol but isn't expected to show up to his night shift."
"Do you know why?" confusion evident in his tone. "Nope, we were hoping you might, seen as, you know, you've befriended the barbarian." Rick stated, "He's not my friend. And to be honest, doesn't seem to be a barbarian either" Kenji confessed. "WHAT" three of the men yelled while Rick started to assert that either Kenji was seriously ill or just insane. Kenji thought back to the strange sequence he had witnessed earlier on, there was no point, he thought, in trying to explain what had happened and even if he did, he was certain no one would believe him. Instead he just turned around walked towards his bun and collapsed. As he fell asleep he couldn't help dreaming about Warner's endless green eyes and warm smile, especially thinking about his dimples.
Chapter 4: Chapter 4
Chapter Text
Kenji ended up staying in bed until 9:00 am. It was his first, and probably only, day he would get to sleep in so he made sure to make the most of it. When he hauled himself out of bed he, noting that everyone else had already got up and was infinitely grateful they had the courtesy not to stir him. As he got ready he planned his day, he would sneak off to the nearest omega point hideout and inform them of all the information he had gained then he would return and seek out Lance and Oliver, he was sure they would have something mildly interesting planned out, they weren't the type of people that would let an opportunity like this slip by. With that thought he quickened his pace, turned invisible and started down the hallway.
As he walked through the halls he realised there was no point going through the side exits if nobody could see him and might as well as leave through the main enterance. When he finally strode into the lobby, carefully manoeuvring around people. He caught sight of Warner as he was about to go through the door. He just stood and stared at him for a minute, taking him in. Last night, he was all that filled his head. He was sickeningly gorgeous. Part of Kenji hated it, hated how he could just stand there and watch him without feeling the urge to throw up. The other part of Kenji, the part he was fighting to lock away, kill it and dispose of as if it were a disease wanted to look closer. He wanted to stab himself every time the idea occurred (which was scarily more frequent than he liked) instantly burying it deep down. Then as if he could hear Kenji's thoughts, Warner turned. Kenji was more the aware he was invisible, he couldn't see his own hands for god's sake. But then those green eyes latched onto the very spot Kenji was standing in. Like he knew, like he could see. He froze, panic rising inside of him. His eyes scrutinised the area in which Kenji was stood, a second passed. Then another. Then, later than he would've liked, he turned away. It was nothing. Kenji almost wanted to laugh, how stupid did he have to be to think Warner could see him. He shook his head to himself and left.
The weather was bitter. Long ago Kenji came to the realisation that the sun was a lie. No matter how bright or promising it looked outside, it never provided any warmth. He tried to travel fast but, a wind was readily arising pushing him about like a child with a toy. He was still invisible now, but only due to the last set if patrols that he was approaching. They set up multiple stations that must be watched and guarded to ensure no one entered or exited the sector without permission. The trouble was, the further you got out the lazier the guards, it was probably due to how neglected the stations were, and the fact that most people wouldn't be stupid enough to go back and fourth them anyway. The one Kenji was approaching was most likely just for show, put people on edge. But that didn't mean he wasn't going to be safe.
By the time he got to the hideout it was 11:00 am (which Kenji was very surprised about, he never usually made such good time, especially after getting worn out by the energy used on his powers) and the sun was now coming up right above him. His stomach grumbled, he should've bought something to eat. He was now approaching a tree line, although every tree there looked half dead. He ventured further into the decaying woods listening out for the sound of footsteps. Eventually he came across a clearing shrivelled, crispy leaves covered the ground. Kenji walked around until he felt some of the floor slightly give way. Kneeling down over the spot he brushed away the foliage until he revealed the wooden door under him. He heaved it up uncovering the dark cavity below. Positioning himself over the ladder he descended into the abyss.
Kenji had only been to this hideout once. It was the closet to sector 45's head quarters and the last he was here it was because he was about to go and commence his task. It was quite small and didn't posses any important technology or information, just in case it was raided. "Hello," Kenji called. "Kenji, your back?" A Kennedy walked into the room puzzled. Kennedy was 17 with long dark hair and brown eyes. "Yeah we were given an unexpected 'day off' so I thought I might make my way down here to tell you everything I gathered."
"Were you followed?" Max asked urgently appearing on the other side of the bunker. "No."
"He can turn invisible you dumbass" Kennedy said rolling her eyes. "Okay, well you might as well come through to the radio so we can contact omega point." Max huffed walking into an even smaller space.
There was one table in the room and it was cluttered with papers, pens, pencils and coffee cups (that Kenji assumed had been there for weeks). In the middle of the was a small radio. Max lowered himself into a broken office chair, and swivelled to face it. While Kennedy entered holding three more cups of coffee. Kenji spent the most of two hours reciting things he heard in meetings, titles of documents assorted on Warners desk, before gathering himself and climbing back up the creaky ladder. Setting of back to sector 45.
Kenji arrived back at his dorm at 3:45, the journey back was significantly more draining than the way there. Thankfully his search for Lance and Oliver was cut short when he found the in the dorm, accompanied by Adam. "Where were you?" Lance asked as Kenji strolled into the room. "Just went for a walk why? Did you miss me" he replied sarcastically. "We wanted to ask if you were up for a bit of a party later"
"Yeah Rick told us that all the guys were getting together this evening and getting absolutely pissed" Oliver chipped in. "Oh, sure I can't say I'll drink much but it sounds fun" The worst thing Kenji could think of was showing up to Warner's office the next morning hungover. "Good, because we were taking you either way." Lance said, "According to Rick a party is jut what you need to sort yourself out, still commenting on what you said last night." Kenji recalled the stunned faces he had seen as he claimed Warner wasn't the cruel beast everyone thought. With his soft blonde hair and pink smooth lips- No. Absolutely not. Never. Stop. What the hell. Kenji was temporarily stunned, what was happening to him. To realise the Warner might not be as monstrous as he though was one thing, to start thinking about his lips was another. "Maybe he's right, I probably need to loosen up a bit" Kenji agreed but those green eyes were ripe in his mind.
They made their way to the spot that had been discussed to find a rather large crowd already gathered. Rick caught sight of them and waved them over. "There you guys are, I was worried you wouldn't show up." He said, leading them over to the group he was previously talking to. "This is Octavia" he gestured to a woman tossing a knife up and down in her hand, several tattoos peaking out from her sleeves and up her neck. Turned at the sound of her name and Kenji saw pricings in her nose and on her lips as well as a long scar running down the side of her face. "Hi, you must be Rick's goody two shoes roommates." She said not so sarcastically. The other precipitants of the group were David, Dwayne, Michael, Paul and Marko. They all were the same, thrill seeking idiots. He could see why Rick was friends with them.
Now, Kenji promised himself he wouldn't drink. However it was impossible to achieve when everyone around him had a bottle of beer in their hand or were sitting round a table doing shots. So it was safe to say Kenji was currently at the state of being, pleasantly buzzed. Floating through the crowd, while drifting in and out of conversation. It was fine. If he continued like this he would be able to get over the slight pounding in his head the next morning and it would all be okay. Wrong. Because Kenji had never been good at staying fine and when he was invited by Rick and his friends to play a game of truth or dare, that unfortunately involved a shot after every turn, he couldn't refuse.
The game started off pretty tame and safe. Boring secrets and mild dares, but as the night went on and the group became significantly more drunk, everyone became very brave. It started with Octavia being dared to flash everyone, (all the heads in sight turned their way and a series of cheers went up). Then Marko told Rick to go and steal a literal tank which turned out to be the worse idea ever as after 20 minutes of waiting by the gates in anticipation, Rick came barrelling down the road with about 15 men chasing him. After that David dared Paul to run naked through the Reestablishment lobby. Which was now leading to Kenji being told he had to sneak up into Warner's office and steal something. Obviously he protested, it was a massively stupid idea. However now he was surrounded with about 50 people all chanting "DO IT, DO IT" (he was sure half of them didn't know what was going on) and took one last shot before standing up and shouting "FINE" a roaring cheer came from all around him shattering his ears. Stumbling out of the rally of bodies, he received several pats on the back as if he'd just won an award. The group followed him telling him they'd wait outside the building for him to get back, while Rick would wait at the end of the hallway to make sure Kenji actually took something from the office. He simply nodded and pushed open the doors
To much adrenaline was pumping through his body to actually realise what he was doing. Not until he was halfway up the stairs to the fifth floor. It was an idiotic move, an incomprehensible decision. Rick was following closely behind, significantly more drunk than Kenji himself. He tripped about three times making his way up and was only accompanied by Ricks continuous giggles that echoed through the stairwell. "shhhh, your going to get us caught" Kenji turned round to lecture Rick, who just started laughing more. When they finally reached the floor Kenji was about to push open the door when Rick caught his wrist and pulled him back. "Wait, have this before you go" he slurred while pulling out a bottle of vodka from god knows where. Kenji rolled his eyes but took two large swigs anyway before finally walking out into the hallway.
As he wandered down the hallway he thought about what he would steal. Maybe one of those records, a book? Maybe just a pen, no one would notice if a pen went missing, right? Kenji reached the oak door and turned back to see Rick peering round the stairwell giving him a drunken thumbs up. The office was dark and it took Kenji a moment to find the light switch, turning it on before starting his search. He walked over to the desk. It only then occurred to him that now would be the perfect time to scrounge together some more intel. He absentmindedly picked up a pen and started shuffling through one of the piles of paper. Several files about weapons, files on sector 45's population, a reoccurring file about an insane asylum prisoner. But then Kenji caught sight of his name on a pile. He picked it up, searching through it. It contained information about his parents, extended family, details about his own life, photos of him. Why would Warner have this? He puzzledly stared down at them.
"Kishimoto," a sharp voice came from behind him. Kenji dropped the files in shock and spun round. Warner stood in the doorway, his eyes dark with anger catching sight at the disorganised state of the desk. Kenji had apparently had to so much to drink he no longer feared the fiery blonde standing at the doorway. He sauntered forwards almost tripping and falling onto the glass coffee table, apparently a lot more light headed than moments earlier (the vodka Rick had offered him suddenly taking effect). Warner marched forward until he was just in front of Kenji, fury painted all over his face. Then, Kenji did something one thousand more stupid than sneaking into this office to begin with. He lent forward and kissed Warner. His lips were soft. Kenji suddenly froze. They both froze. Kenji was stuck between this void of drunken insanity and impossibly sober. He moved back staring at Warner's bewildered green eyes. They were the last things Kenji saw before loosing feeling in his legs and passing out.

His head throbbed. Kenji felt sick and sluggish. He grunted and turned over, moving a hand up to rub his temple. The strong smell of gardenia. Sinking back under his thick, warm duvet he sighed. Wait. He slept on a rock hard mattress. A sudden rush of memories came back as the previous night flashed through his mind. The party, that stupid dare, going through the office, getting caught and the kis-. Kenji jolted upright, surveying his surroundings. It was definitely not his room. The bed he was in was king sized, with pristine white covers. To his left a was nightstand containing a cup of water and some aspirin, Kenji greedily reached for it. The pain in his brain thickened with the sudden movement. He began to drink when a disquieted voice came through the dark "Slow down or you'll choke." He turned abruptly to see Warner spread out on a chair, watching Kenji with his bright green eyes from across the room. Warner's room he realised. Kenji had slept in Warner's room. In Warner's bed. Kenji was suddenly speechless. He had no idea what to say. How was he not dead? Why was he now recovering from a hangover in Warner's bed? He just stared, open mouthed. "I didn't tell you to stop drinking." The blonde's aggravated voice broke him out of his trance and he continued to drink (being mindfully slower). Warner waited until Kenji was finished before speaking again. "There's a shower in there" he gestured to a door to his left "I've requested for a new uniform for you, it will be out here once your done." He stood up opening another door on the opposite side of the room, disappearing. Kenji was baffled. So utterly confused, he'd expected to wake up with a gun to his head and then promptly shot. Not whatever this was. Maybe it was all a sick joke. Maybe he'd walk out of the shower and then be shot.
Slowly Kenji made his way to the bathroom. It wasn't so big, it had a shower, toilet and sink. Practical. The walls were covered in white tiles. Kenji closed the door behind him and stripped. Warner's shower was divine. The water was hot, not lukewarm like the one he shared downstairs. Warner had an extensive collection of soaps. So many in fact, Kenji spent 10 minutes alone trying to choose. Eventually he settled on the gardenia one, reminding him of Warner's bed. Why was he even thinking about Warner's bed? Kenji quickly finished up after that and, as promised, a new uniform awaited him on the bed. After getting ready, Kenji realised he'd not been given any further instructions. Eventually he decided to go through the door Warner had gone through earlier.
Pushing open the door Kenji realised that he was now standing in Warner's office, (So that's where that door goes Kenji noted.) Warner was sitting behind his desk rearranging the files Kenji had carelessly rifled thought the night prior. Not really sure what to do with himself Kenji stepped forward, cautiously. Hearing no objections he began to explore the room. He walked across the room, purposefully going around the coffee table and additional sofas. He saw in his peripheral vision that a the pen he hastily grabbed and a, now broken, coffee mug lay discarded on the floor. Most likely knocked over by Kenji when he passed out. He don't know what made him do it, but Kenji knelt down on the floor and began picking up the shattered pieces and the pen. He disposed of the shards in the bin before going over to the desk and placing the pen in front of Warner. He looked up at him but didn't say anything. Kenji felt obligated to push out a "Sorry, Sir." But Warner simply looked back down at his paper again, they were both ignoring it. The question evidently going to arise but they just delayed it, hoping it would magically unhappen, or they would both forget about it. They didn't. It just hung heavily in the air.
Kenji swallowed turning back around striding over to the bookshelves. He reached out to grab one of the books when Warner's sharp voice called "More snooping Kishimoto?" Kenji didn't need to look to see the unimpressed and exasperated expression that would be painted over his face. A sudden surge of confidence found Kenji, "Isn't it sort of hypercritical for the Reestablishment to posses the very thing they condemn?" he asked, pulling out the book from its shelf anyway, flicking through the pages. Warner scoffed "I don't get to keep them, simply read them to analyse whether they should be translated into the new language or not. Most of the time they don't."
"Yes, but that's ignoring the fact of you being able to read them, there are children out there who have never even seen a book" It angered Kenji, how the Reestablishment took so much from the rest of the world, just for them to keep it for themselves. "I don't make the rules Kishimoto" He said it bitterly. "Okay, so you don't make the rules, but doesn't it bother you" Kenji had no idea where this bold attitude came from. "You know, I preferred it when you didn't speak at all"
"And I preferred it when I thought you were horrible" Kenji muttered quietly. "What." Warner's voice said, apparently not quiet enough. He sighed, he thought that things couldn't get any worse and he might as well come clean. "I saw you, the other day, you know, with that dog." Kenji cringed it sounded so stupid. A laugh came from Warner's desk, causing Kenji to spin around and face him, "That's what this is about, you changed your whole perception on me, because of a dog?" He looked like he was trying not to laugh, abandoning his work to sit back in his chair and stare at Kenji. "Well yeah, kinda, it just seemed like such an odd thing at the time, the cruel and evil leader of sector 45, offering half a bagel to a flea ridden dog." Kenji looked down. "Well I know you lied about your past." With that his head snapped back up, shocked. "Do you really think I would employ some random new guy to look over my shoulder and listen in to my meetings without keeping a tracker or microphone hidden somewhere on you. Then I find you going through my desk the one day I tell you I'm not going to be here." Kenji gaped open mouthed, staring down at his uniform. God, he was stupid. So stupid. Of course he wouldn't have been able to sneak in on Warner's life. "The only thing that confused me was as to why you were so drunk" Kenji sighed and began to tell him about what had happened "Because half of the guys had the 'day off' they decided to throw a little party of sorts, it was really just a reason to get drunk. I told myself not to have anything to drink but was soon roped into a stupid game of truth or dare, then I was dared to come up here and steal something, hence the pen. But then you caught me and then, well, I was really, really drunk and I wasn't thinking and I-" Kenji started to stumble over his words. "You still wanted to though, didn't you. It due to the alcohol you actually did it. But you'd considered it before hand?" Kenji went back to gaping, this wasn't happening. Of course he hadn't wanted to kiss Warner. Well he...he did think about him a concerning amount. And, he'd straight up defended him the other night when Rick spoke about him and then how those green eyes were ingrained into his mind. Oh, God. Kenji Kishimoto had a fat, not so secret, crush on the infamous leader of sector 45.
When Kenji didn't reply the two of them lapsed back into silence, Kenji continued to look through the shelves of books. Plucking them out and examining the covers, the blurbs. He'd seen books before, obviously, but he'd didn't think he'd seen so many in one place before. Reading had never really appealed to him, but maybe there was a possibility he just hadn't had the opportunity to read. Eventually he'd chosen a couple that looked interesting and sat down on the arm chair, close to the desk. He started one called 'If we were villains' about some mysterious murder that occurred in this school for elites. It reminded him of how the world used to be, the people, the opportunities, the jobs. Kenji ached for it all back. He continued to read and was suddenly interrupted by Warner standing up from his seat and heading towards the door. "Kishimoto, I suggest you stand up and get moving. I have a meeting and want to be late on account of you" Kenji stood up placing the book onto the chair and made his way to the door. He assumed he was being invited to tag along, the idea that his position still stood.
This was one of the meetings Kenji was usually exempt from, but this time Warner held the door open when he went in encouraging Kenji to follow suit. The room was a rectangle with a long table stretching down in front of him, a white screen placed at the opposite end. He trailed after Warner, stopping behind the chair he sat down in. Taking a few steps back pressing into the wall. Making sure he was out of the way. Four other men entered the room, all lower in class from Warner. He also noticed Warner had one of the same files with him that Kenji had gone through on his desk, containing the several reports on an insane asylum patient. When it seemed everyone was settled Warner stood up and started talking. He tried to take in what he was talking about, looked at the images projected on the screen, some girl with long dark hair locked in a dark cell. He caught bits of it, Warner expressing how she was unique (just like Kenji was) and about how she had the power to kill with only her touch, something about a weapon. But all Kenji could really focus on was the man with his back turned to him. He was wearing a navy blue suit, and a white shirt, the top two buttons undone. Kenji noticed his hands, his long fingers, agile and rough. The muscles that strained through his restricting blazer. Kenji cursed himself, just because the realisation he was way more into Warner than he thought, as in liking him at all, didn't mean he had to think about it constantly. His mind went back to the alley and the dog. Those dimples.
After the meeting finished the other participants all gathered themselves and left. Everyone except Warner, he did this sometimes, Kenji would wait outside as he watched all the others leave with just him left in there. "You know Kishimoto, it's very difficult to work when your eyes are boring into the back of my head" Warner said, still sitting down at the table "Sorry, Sir" it was all Kenji ever seemed to say. "Stop apologising, and I know well enough you know my name is Warner" he said. "My apologies, Sir?" Kenji said it just to see the reaction he would get. The answer; a scoff and silence. Warner eventually got up purposefully not looking Kenji's way and headed towards the door.
The rest of the afternoon passed rather duly and Kenji spent most of it in the same armchair pretending to read. It wasn't that the book wasn't interesting, it was just that Warner was a lot more interesting and when he got up to dinner he pulled a face a Kenji before making a remark about how he hadn't turned the page within the past 10 minutes.
When they returned back to Warner's office, Kenji finally taking his place behind the desk for the first time that day. However he was only there for an hour before Warner stood up. Walked over to him, so close that the could have kissed, Kenji felt Warner's breath on his face. His breath caught. He waited for a moment, they were silent.
Then Warner placed something into his hand turned back to his chair with a smug smirk planted on his face, as if he could feel how fast he made Kenji's heart beat by just being close. He silently flipped him off, but had the sense Warner still knew what he did. Kenji looked down at his hand to see that the pen he was planning to steal was what Warner had given. "You are dismissed Kishimoto," he was told and Kenji was stunned for a second. "I know your not that idiotic to not understand what I said, go." Kenji nodded with a "Yes, Sir" and exited through the door making his way back to his dorm.
Chapter 6: Chapter 6
Chapter Text
When he walked into the dorm nobody was there. He went over to his bunk and collapsed. What the hell had happened today? How was he still alive? All the questions answers lay in the mystery that was Warner. The quiet of the room allowed Kenji to think back to the picturesque blonde. It wasn't really his fault he'd tumble down the rabbit hole of death. Warner looked perfect, but it was a cruel and cunning perfect. But now.... He was certainty still cruel and cunning but also something else. Hell, until today he didn't even know he liked guys. It was unfair. It was like Warner had plucked him from a swarm of bees and was trying to make him to sting.
"Where were you!!!" Oliver stared in stood in shock at the door. "Huh, oh, yeah" He realised that that due to the fact he didn't return last night, it was likely they thought something horrific had happened to him. "We were all waiting for you two to come back and then Rick came running towards us wittering on about they'd all screwed up and you'd be killed. And then you weren't here this morning and we thought that even if you were alive you'd surly been kicked out." Kenji shook his head and stood up. "Well I'm fine, I just hid in Warner's office till he left by the time I got back all it was so late and you were all asleep. there was no point going back to bed so I just got ready and went back upstairs." He lied easily. He wondered if Warner was listening in on his conversations now, listening to him lie. Oliver looked unconvinced, but with nothing else to believe just went along with it. "THANK FUCKING GOD" Rick had walked into the dorm, throwing himself around Kenji in relief. "I thought I'd sent you into massive pile of shit with that stupid dare as it was, then seeing that brute walking down the corridor. Thank god your okay." Eventually his other two roommates appeared, equally happy to see Kenji back. He retold the story that he'd told to Oliver, when he suddenly remembered the pen he was still clutching in his hand. "And, I got this" he held it up before chucking it to Rick to inspect. "No way, you are soooo dead if he ever finds out." Kenji only laughed, knowing the truth behind what had really happened made this all the more amusing. The group stayed up and chatted for a before returning to their respective bunks.
When Lance woke up Kenji he actually felt how horrible this mattress was. It was hard and lumpy, sticking up in all the worst places. Nothing compared to the one he'd awoken in two nights ago. He hauled himself out of bed, stretching. He walked up to Warner's office. He didn't bother to knock instead just strolling inside.
Warner sat behind his desk, seemingly unoccupied, staring at the wall. Kenji suddenly felt like he was intruding, maybe he should've knocked. He decided to just walk over to the armchair he had claimed, collapsing into it. Kenji sighed deciding to break the silence "Hello, you in there?" He waved his arms around dramatically, Warner's eyes snapped over to meet his. "Sorry to interrupt your brooding but I was just wondering what the plan was today boss." He wanted to test his boundaries, it was an incredibly stupid idea, but Kenji had discovered he was incredibly good at pulling off stupid ideas. "Since when have you ever needed to know my schedule, Kishimoto?" He didn't sound angry just slightly annoyed. "I don't need to know, I just wondered, I mean it's not like I won't find out anyway" He continued. "I have one meeting at noon but other than that nothing, satisfied?" A grin spread across Kenji's face "Very, you'd be liked so much more if you talked to everyone like this."
"Well I don't strive to be liked Kishimoto, I have a job and I will do what needs to be done. Other people's opinions are irrelevant." The way Warner spoke initiated the close to the conversation, lapsing back into silence. Warner picked up a pen and began to write. "What are you doing?"
"I'm surprised you don't know, you've checked through all the files anyway" Kenji winced, he felt bad for doing it. He wouldn't be too pleased if someone had gone through all his stuff and messed it about. He opened his mouth to apologise when a sharp "Don't bother Kishimoto"
"Don't what? I didn't realise you were a mind reader" sarcasm lacing him tone. "I mean don't apologise, or maybe don't talk at all. Or maybe you could do me a favour and just be quiet." Irritation began to rise within Warner's tone. But then he sighed and answered Kenji's former question "I'm signing documents if you must know, confirming supply numbers and military sources, not the most enjoyable thing in the world." It checked out, most of the files he had seen contained that sort of information. He couldn't be bothered to push so after that so the conversation died out.
The rest of the day passed, the meeting went a lot like the previous day, Kenji not paying attention to what was going on and his soul focus seeming to be on the man in front of him. Today though Warner left promptly after finishing, which surprised Kenji. He said it himself he had nothing else to do. Back in the office Warner started working again however soon after he sat back and studied the wall again. "Your bed is very comfy" the words slipped out of Kenji, not really knowing why he said it. "I woke up all stiff this morning, maybe I should pass out in your office more often" He winked to Warner who gave him an unreadable look. "Maybe I should kiss you more often as well" he quietly. "What was that, Kishimoto" Warner was now standing, walking over it Kenji. He felt his cheeks turn pink, "Nothing, Sir," Warner's advance did not stop "You sure about that," He was now standing over Kenji, looking down at him. One of his hands reached out to grasp Kenji's face while he lent in closer "I wouldn't want to catch you lying to me, Kenji" Oh god, Warner just said his name. He was going to die. Perish right there. "I- I said" His lips had turned dry. "Go on" He encouraged, thumb tracing along Kenji's jaw "I said that maybe I should kiss you more often as well" the words came out in a rushed blur but he had no time to think about it as Warner had pushed forward, connecting there lips. It was slow. Blissful. He tasted like mint and gardenia, the same that clung to his room. Kenji was quite literally in going to explode. Warner's tongue brushed along his bottom lip, asking for entry. Kenji complied, turning to putty in the blondes hands. He reached up to run his fingers through the soft blonde hair and pull him closer. Carving more. More.
Then the shrill bell rang somewhere in the distance and the sensation of Warner's lips disappeared. Kenji opened his eyes to him heading towards the door. That bastard. "Come on Kishimoto, we wouldn't want to be late now." A smirk over his face as he said if. Then he left. Leaving Kenji still sitting on the armchair completely disoriented and craving. Taking a moment before standing on shaking legs and following after Warner.
---
He caught up with Warner who was just about to get in the lift. Kenji was sure he looked a state, hot and flustered, his pupils blown wide. How he would make it through dinner he had no clue. Especially with Warner next to him looking unbothered, pristinely put together.
Usually, Warner would wait for Kenji to finish his food before leaving. So while Kenji made a plan to eat as little as possible and get going, Warner just stayed seated. He was being an absolute dick. Kenji was left with no other choice than to sit and wait, impatiently bouncing his leg under the table. Warner continued to sit indifferent, taking leisurely sips of his water. If got to the hour and a half mark and Kenji was getting restless, not being able to sit still. "Is something wrong, Kishimoto" Warner asked nonchalantly Kenji scowled at him "you know damn well what's wrong," he hissed quietly. "I'm not sure I do, is there something you would like, tell me." Warner continued with the same tone. Revelling in Kenji's suffering. He sighed "I would like to go." He confessed "please" he half begged. With that Warner began to stand up, "All you had to do was ask," he said with another evil smirk. They walked towards the doors.
When they entered the elevator Kenji whispered a "fuck you" which earned a small snort "I do believe you are the one that wants to get fucked" his voice was so low only Kenji was able to hear him for a moment he just gaped, he'd just heard that the leader of sector 45 tell him he wanted to get fucked, pretty much those exact words. He didn't even have the opportunity to respond as the lift stopped suddenly and two more people walked in, regarding Warner with a quick "Sir," before standing, postures straight, gaze forward. Warner didn't spare a glance at Kenji for the rest of the short journey (which happened to be the longest 5 minutes of Kenji's life). His legs began to turn to jelly again as they neared the office door.
As soon as Kenji had followed Warner through the door and it was closed behind them. Warner pushed him up against it, pinning him there before his lips crashed against Kenji's. It wasn't slow like before, it was hasty and needy. Kenji would have fallen to the floor again if it weren't for Warner's body pressed against him, holding him up. Kenji's hand's intertwined with Warners blonde locks pulling him impossibly closer. Warner's tongue ventured through Kenji's mouth before, he started trailing along Kenji's jaw. The kisses were sloppy and wet. Warner followed down to Kenji's neck where he started to suck and bite. Pulling lewd sounds from Kenji.
Then it all stopped. Warner was untangling himself from Kenji and walking away. "Wha- wait a second" Kenji called stumbling after him "What the hell" he said. "Is there an issue Kishimoto?" Warner's voice was even, not like Kenji with his ragged breathing. "Is there an issue? IS THERE AN ISSUE" Kenji's voice raised till he was practically yelling. "That's it? You just made me wait all through dinner, tell me you were going to fuck me in the elevator and make out with me against the door to just walk away" Kenji was fuming. "I never said I was going to fuck you in that lift, I distinctly remember saying you wanted to be fucked, not that I would do such things."
"Wha-. you-, I- wait-" Kenji stumbled over his words staring at Warner mouth open. "I suggest you go and get some rest now Kishimoto, we have a busy day tomorrow."
"You absolute dic-"
"You are dismissed" Warner cut him off, his voice and expression made it clear there was no room for argument. Kenji turned on his heel and stormed out the door.
That asshole. How dare he. Kenji marched down the stairs in a hot-headed fury. It was his fault Kenji had even started liking Warner anyway. That stupid dog. Those dimples. He wanted to shoot him in the head and at the same time wanted to be pinned down to a bed while Warner kissed him. Jesus, what was wrong with him.
When he got to his dorm he inspected himself in the bathroom mirror. He was bright pink, his lips were swollen. A series of dark purple bruises trailed down his neck. Shit. What was he supposed to do now. He showered, pointlessly scrubbing at the marks. When he got back to his room he noticed something had been placed on his bunk. Under further inspection he discovered it was a turtleneck. How considerate? Kenji thought sarcastically. Then it hit him. This wasn't just any turtleneck. It was black and smelled strongly of... oh fuck, gardenia. Warner had given Kenji his turtleneck. To wear over the marks he made. It was too much for Kenji to comprehend so he simply got into bed and fell asleep, dreaming about those soft pink lips.
Chapter 7: Chapter 7
Chapter Text
He woke himself up today, opening his eyes to see Lance already bustling around the room getting ready. "Good morning sleepyhead. You were knocked out last night."
"I just had a busy day yesterday" Kenji groaned, dragging himself out of bed. "I mean It certainly looks like it" Rick's groggy voice came and Kenji saw he was looking directly at the marks Warner had left Kenji with last night. "Uhh its- I wasn- you don-" He began to stutter. "Don't worry dude, no body cares what chick your hooking up with" he said starting to laugh "god your face!" Kenji also began to laugh, trying to hide the nervous look expression threatening to show. "You might not care who it is Rick, but I do" Lance chipped in. "No absolutely not." He started to say. "Aww come on Kenji, we don't care" Oliver pleaded. They would care. They would care so much. Kenji just laughed shaking his head. Getting dressed he remembered the turtleneck that was awaiting him the night before. Pulling it over his head he inhaled the blondes sent. It fit snugly, and was incredibly soft.
Warner was pulling on a long black coat, similar to the one he'd worn the day Kenji saw him with that dog. When Warner saw him he examined Kenji, looking him up and down. "Kishimoto," He regarded Kenji. "Sir" Kenji said back. Tension filled the air. Warner went back to getting ready, pulling on some black gloves "So where we going today boss?" Kenji asked rocking back and forth on the balls do his feet. "Well if you were actually paying any attention to my meetings you would be aware of an asylum patient that could be rather useful to the Reestablishment" Warner walked towards Kenji, reaching one of his gloved hands out to clasp his chin. Pulling him close, the rough fabric of his glove scraping against his face. "So today, we're going to pay her a visit" Warner whispered before taking a step back, collecting a file of the desk and heading towards the door.
They didn't travel by tank the way they usually did when going anywhere. Instead Warner lead him out to a black SUV. Warner opened one of the back doors gesturing for Kenji to get in before walking round to the other side. He assumed that Warner was going to drive but when he sat down noticed someone was already sitting in the drivers seat and Warner had just opened the door next to him and was sitting down. They sat in silence for the entire journey, at one point Kenji had turned to look at the blonde next to him with a confused expression, but Warner looked totally relaxed. His green eyes caught Kenji's and encouraged him to feel the same. It felt slightly impossible.
When the car stopped Kenji saw they'd pulled up outside, what Kenji could only describe as the scene of a horror movie. The building was black and shaped like a rectangle. Thin slits we're paced along the walls, as they got closer Kenji realised they were barred windows. "I'm sorry but did I miss hear you of something? Did you actually say asylum instead of prison?" Kenji asked sarcastically. "It works as a double, most criminals end up in here too, if there not shot. Besides if you were locked up in here wouldn't you turn a little bit mad as well." The casual way in which Warner responded made Kenji shiver. He was not going to enjoy this outing.
Luckily his task wasn't at all taxing. His only job was to simply follow. Every now and again a scream would come echoing through the halls, making the hairs along Kenji's arms stand on edge. Warner only spoke to one guard before being given a key card and went on his way. It was very dark, shadows marked every wall turning into monsters when he stared at them for too long. However Warner seemed familiar with the layout, knowing which turns to take and what doors to go through, they walked until they came into a room with several monitors, showcasing several different 'patients', and a control panel. Warner quickly got to work locating the cell he needed before pulling up a chair and sorting through the footage. Kenji walked closer too, investigating the figure shown on the screens. The name 'Juliette Ferrars' was flashing below and the videos showed a small skinny girl with long dark hair in various different places in her cell. "If you want to look sit down instead of loitering behind me." Warner snapped. Kenji complied pulling a chair up next to the blonde.
They sat in a prolonged silence Warner flittering between writing things down and staring at the screens. "Umm, what exactly are we looking for?" Kenji was honestly getting quite bored, other than moving to stand somewhere else, the girl never did much. It puzzled Kenji what Warner was looking for. "I'm trying to work out if she's stable enough be let out, she's strange. Some prisoners have been here half the time she has and are already descending into madness." Warner pulled up some footage of other people, sure enough, they were in much worse state them her. Screaming, tearing their hair out, pacing, rocking to and fro on the floor and banging their heads into walls. "If this is the comparison, I would say she's alright" Kenji only really said it to perhaps sway Warner to leave. "Maybe, but her behaviour locked in this room might change as soon as she's let out. And I personally don't want to risk what she'll do once she's out."
"Why?"
"Because Kishimoto, she has the ability to drain someone of their life with the touch of her fingertip. Would you like to have someone so unpredictable with that ability running about" Kenji shook his head, "I suppose not"
"And on top of that, we have no idea how compliant she is anyway. Anyone else locked away in here would listen to every order they were given, but as you've seen, she doesn't act like every other prisoner."
"Why do you need her anyway?"
"Am I seriously going to have to tell you that with and ability like that on its side the Reestablishment would be unstoppable. No power in the world could control it."
"Wait a second" Kenji cut him off "You're doing all of this just to weaponize her?" Anger started to build up inside of him. "You can't just use a human being like that." Kenji's tone was beginning to rise "That's so cruel and inhumane. Its fucked up. Seriously fucked up"
"Kishimoto, has if ever occurred to you that maybe I just am cruel." Warner's voice was cold. "You seem to be so consumed by this one idea of me you accept the truth"
"No. You just hadn't shown me what you were like." Kenji was now standing up and backing away. "That's because you already knew" Warner's head was in his hands, seeming to be fighting some inner conflict. "I knew what people had told me. A stigma. It's easy to believe what others say if it's all anyone ever says." With that Warner stood up too, sharp and violently "And why do you think they say that?" He was walking towards Kenji now, hunting him down like a vulture cornering his prey. "Answer me Kishimoto, why do you think people say that?" His tone was also rising, anger building up in his eyes. He took another step forward. And Kenji ran. He bolted out the door Warner's voice shouting after him "Where are you going!"
Kenji's heart was pumping so hard he was sure it was going to burst through his chest. Pounding footfalls raced behind him. He had no clue where he was going, he just turned, then again. Quicker and quicker. Left, right, right, left. All the while Warner's voice called after him. The walls started to blur together, sending Kenji into a haze. He ran even after he could no longer her the distant yells or echoing footsteps. He just kept on running, blindly turning down round sharp corners. His legs eventually gave way, sending him careering into a wall. Slamming his head straight into it. He lay, breathing heavily face buried into the ground. He had no concept of time and lay there until his chest had stopped hammering. His head throbbed, and when he reached a hand out to touch it. His fingers came back sticky and wet, the little to no lighting made it hard to determine, but it was safe to say he was bleeding. Everything hurt and it took some time before he was able to move himself into something that resembled a sitting position leaning against the wall.
Kenji was now drifting in and out of consciousness. Eventually he started hearing footsteps echoing up and down the hallway's, distantly registering them getting closer. "There you are, you idiot" Warner's blonde hair came round the corner crouching down in front of him. "What did you do" Warner's voice was steady and he reached forward to inspect Kenji's forehead. He tried to swat the gloved hand away but his body had practically given up on him. "Don't touch me" the words came out slurred. "Be quiet, can you stand?" He gave Warner a scowl, did he look like he could stand? Warner sighed before hooking Kenji's arm over his shoulder, hoisting him up. His head started to spin and he cried out in pain. Warner waited for Kenji to adjust a little before he started moving. They fast progress, mainly due to the fact that instead of Kenji walking, Warner just took Kenji's body weight onto his and made essentially carried Kenji back to the room they were in earlier.
The lighting in there was far to bright "Shit, turn out the lights"
"I'm trying to evaluate what the hell you've done to yourself Kishimoto so I would strongly suggest shutting up while I try and fix you" Warner's tone was exasperated now. He dumped Kenji down into one of the chairs passing him a glass of water "drink." Warner disappeared from view for a second before returning with a white medical box. He sat on the other chair, now placed opposite Kenji. Warner's hands reached out one tilting his head to the side other attacking the injury with antiseptic "Ow, fuck, do you mind." Kenji complained attempting to pull his head away. "No, I do not now stay still otherwise it's going to hurt more." Kenji continued to wince biting hard down on his lip. "It's your own fault anyway, if you hadn't been stupid enough to run off you would be fine. What did you even do?"
"I crashed into a wall after you made me run off" Warner snorted "You crashed in a wall?" A slight smile was now appearing on his face "And I did not make you run off, I was simply telling you something you didn't want to hear."
"Really, your still going on about that?" His voice was harsh. Warner didn't reply simply saying "you should be fine, it will bruise but other than that just keep hydrated and you should be okay. No need to wrap it up."
"wonderful" Kenji said sarcastically. Finally tugging his head out of Warner's grasp. They stared at each other for a second, Kenji trying not to fall for those hypnotising green eyes.
Then Warner got up packing away that unused items from the kit and chucking the rubbish away. "Why do you care so much?" The question caught Kenji off guard. "Is it because of your little rebellion?"
"No." Kenji said defensively, he knew Warner was aware of omega point and he didn't want to do anything to provoke an attack. In truth Kenji had said no for a different reason, he couldn't bare the thought of another person be punished for their abilities, he would be a tone more useful if people knew he could turn invisible. "Then why?"
"Because it's a horrible thing to do? Besides" he said changing the subject to target Warner "you keep on going on about how your such a bad person but then why don't you go after 'my little rebellion' you could easily destroy it"
"I'm not just going to kill for the sake of it"
"No? Oh, wait, I forgot, your going to manipulate a traumatised girl into doing it for you."
"Kishimoto, do you understand how insufferable you can be sometimes?" Warner was now standing over Kenji. "That's rich coming from you." He scoffed. Pushing himself up so his was face to face with the blonde "Stop acting like you are invincible Warner, the reason everyone thinks your cruel is because you don't let them see differently." Warner looked stunned. Kenji stepped away. "Can we go now?" Kenji said making his way to the door. Instead of replying Warner just gathered his things, clasping Kenji's wrist, pulling him through the maze of halls.
In the car Kenji found himself drifting in and out of sleep the whole way back. Several times he caught Warner staring at him. When they arrived Warner gave him a hand, helping Kenji to stand up. He reluctantly took it, turning away from him as soon as he was up. Warner exchanged a few words with the driver before continuing into the buildings lobby. They stood in the lift in silence. Kenji turned slightly away.
When they entered the office it wasn't even a second before Warner pushed him against the wall. "Screw you Kishimoto"
"Wait wha-"
"Screw you for showing up this morning wearing my turtleneck, then getting mad after asking about my job. Screw you for running off and getting yourself hurt. And now screw you for ignoring me now" Before Kenji could say anything back Warner was drowning him with his lips again. Kenji tried not to kiss back, tried to resist. But it was hopeless. Warner was everywhere. Invading all his senses.
Chapter 8: Chapter 8
Chapter Text
Unlike the previous times, Warner was relentless. He pinned Kenji's hands above his head and moved closer until there was practically nothing between them. Kenji was Warner's to control. Complying to his every demand. It annoyed him how easily the blonde affected Kenji, any anger towards him melting away. Kenji was kissed till he couldn't breathe. Warner's tongue was in his mouth, while his other hand came up to hold Kenji's jaw. He tasted like sweet, that reoccurring sent of gardenia. He craved it. Warner's mouth detached from his and moved up by his ear. "What is it you want, Kenji" His voice was low, raspy. "You," Kenji gasped out. With that he released Kenji's arms, instantly Kenji reached out to grip onto his soft golden hair. Using his two free hands, Warner traced down Kenji's body stopping at his thighs picking him up and Kenji wrapped this legs round the others torso. Warner had begun to suck and bite at the skin that was exposed above the turtleneck, making Kenji groan. Warner pulled them away from the wall, carrying him through to the adjacent bedroom.
Warner lowered Kenji onto the bed, climbing over him. Demandingly he pulled up the turtleneck, taking it off, leaving Kenji half bare. Before continuing to make bruises all along his upper body. "Fuck," Kenji keened as Warner's lips travelled down to Kenji's lower stomach. Involuntarily bucking his hips. He'd discovered that pretty much as soon as this endeavour had started, his cock had grown hard. Warner smirked, taking note. "Eager"
"Shut the hell up" Kenji sat up and began to unbutton Warner's shirt. His torso was lined with abs, big muscles along his arms. Kenji wanted to sit and trace his body the same way Warner had done to him but the moment he began to lean forward, Warner's hands were back around his hips forcing Kenji to lay back again. "Warner," his voice was needy. Apparently it's all that was needed for Warner crash his mouth on top of Kenji's again fumbling with the buttons of his jeans. Warner pushed off him only for a second to mumble "lift your hips for me, love" and Kenji moaned, the nickname going straight to his dick. Complying with the demand as Warner removed his pants.
At some point they both ended up completely bare. Kenji had grown more needy, impatient however Warner had taken his time. Going at whatever pace he wished to explore Kenji's body. "Warner just fuck me please" Kenji whimpered. "Your so impatient" Warner argued placing a final kiss along Kenji's hip. Before sitting up and reaching over to one of the bedside tables, foraging around a draw and retrieving a small bottle before drawing his attention back to Kenji. "God, you're so beautiful" Warner said tracing up and down Kenji's tanned thighs parting them to his liking. He poured the contents from the bottle onto his fingers before entering one inside of Kenji. He arched his back pushing into the contact, the feeling foreign, but extremely pleasant. "m-more" he begged and Warner only complied, adding another finger, curling them inside of him. It scared Kenji how close he was to coming already, his cock throbbing. "Warner I'm going to-" he started, all at once once the sensation stopped. He opened his mouth to complain when he felt Warner's tip brush against his entrance. Warner lent down coming eye to eye with Kenji. "Tell me what you want, love" he asked again, "you, please" Warner kissed him as he entered. His tongue traced the roof of Kenji's mouth, giving Kenji a moment to adjust. He stretched out Kenji making him sink his nails into Warner's shoulder, while the blonde's lips concealed the hiss of pain. Warner started to thrust in and out of him, easing the pain away into pleasure. "Fuck, fuck, fuck" Kenji moaned against the blondes lips, he could practically feel Warner's smirk, registering how Kenji would do anything he asked of in this moment. He traced his hands down Kenji's sides gripping his hips, ensuring there would be bruises. "D-don't stop-p" he pleaded, Warner only quickened his pace. Brutally pushing inside of him. His moans becoming more and more frequent. "You're so tight" Warner groaned, giving Kenji open mouthed kisses. Warner arranged Kenji's legs wrapping them around his waist again. The new angle made him see stars, arching himself into Warner. Moving his hips down to greet the blondes thrusts. At one point Warner hit the perfect spot and Kenji moaned harder, eyes rolling back, his nails raking along Warner's back. When Warner spotted this reaction, he didn't stop. Destroying Kenji's g-spot, Kenji was sure he wouldn't be able to sit normally for days, weeks even. "W-warner I-I'm goi-" Kenji stuttered, his ability to form sentences evaporating. "I know, go on Kenji, come for me" Warner's voice was raspy and wanting and all the encouragement Kenji needed to push him over the edge. He cried out calling Warner's name over and over. Warner didn't slow, if anything he sped up. Using Kenji to get himself off, Kenji only moaned more. Warner came, not bothering to pull out, filling him up. Before collapsing on top of Kenji. They lay there for a while, coming down from their highs.
Eventually Warner pulled out, getting up and returning with a cloth to slightly clean the mess Kenji had made over himself before Warner got into bed and pulled the covers over them. Wrapping his arm around Kenji. "G' night" Kenji mumbled before falling promptly asleep. Distantly hearing Warner's reply "Good night Kenji" and everything descended into darkness.
At some point during the night Kenji rolled over and had woken up to face a sleeping Warner. His features soft, peaceful. His blonde hair was unkempt but not messy. When Kenji he woken it was 8:30 (significantly later than his usual wake up time) and at least another hour and a half had passed since. He was sure Warner had a lot of important things to do but he just couldn't bring himself to wake him. He looked so content and, although it was selfish, didn't want to change that. Kenji eventually reached out to trace the delicate structure of Warner's face. Apparently Kenji's feathering touch was enough for the blonde to stir. He opened his eyes slightly specs of green peeking out "morning" Warner's morning voice was rough. He wrapped his arms around Kenji again, pulling him in. "Hey, I'm, it's pretty late" Kenji confessed, "how late?"
"Like 10:00 am late"
"Oh, we should probably get going then," Kenji nodded but made no movement if anything he just settled further into Warner's chest. "I'm serious Kenji, I have meetings." Maybe it was due to Warner using his actual name or maybe it was due to the fact Warner did have meetings, but Kenji reluctantly rolled over. He gave Kenji a kiss before standing up. He watched as Warner moved about, the first thing he noted was the horrific scars on his back and the tattoo right in the centre spelling one word IGNITE he opened his mouth to ask but Warner was already disappearing into the bathroom.
Shortly after Warner had disappeared Kenji had made the decision to get up and follow him. He opened the door quietly, steam filling the air. The glass door was blurred and Kenji could see the disoriented figure of the blonde, his back turned and head tilted upward. Kenji joined him in the shower. Kenji studied the deep, jagged scars all over the blondes back. His fingers reached out trace along them, but as soon as he made contact Warner gave a jerk. Turning around to confront Kenji. His hair was stuck to his face, beads of water dripping down. His green eyes assertive. Kenji gave him a panicked grin, "sorry, I uh," Kenji wasn't quite sure what to say. Warner sighed "are you that incompetent you can't shower alone Kishimoto,?" It took Kenji a second to realise this was Warner's attempt at being funny. "Apparently so," Kenji said leaning in on the blonde, smiling wider. Warner rolled his eyes, going back to what he was doing. Kenji watched as he reached for the Gardenia smelling one Kenji had used himself. "Why do you have so many soaps?"
"Because they smell nice?" Warner retorted. Kenji took another moment to examine his body, Kenji's eyes travelling lower, until he noticed the black text along his hipbone. It was hard to make out what it said from this angle, them being so close together, Kenji was tempted to get closer for a better inspection, but due to the circumstances didn't think it was the best idea. Instead he picked the soap out of Warner's hand and got cleaned up. They both continued in silence, Warner left first telling Kenji he would sort out a clean uniform for him (Kenji mentally hoped for another item of his clothing to wear).
When Kenji left the bathroom room he saw Warner standing shirtless in, what he discovered, was the biggest wardrobe he'd ever seen in his life. This room was bigger than the bedroom next to it and the adjacent office combined. Furnished in white cabinets and shelves containing various different pieces of clothing. Rows of blazers, and shirts hung around the sides of the room. Everything was organised by colour. "Holy shit," he whispered, his fingers skimming against the fabric. They were all high end brands, if not they were exquisitely made anyway, the texture was silky. Warner coughed behind him, turning his attention. He was in the process of buttoning up his shirt, when he finished he picked up a pile of clothes and offered them to Kenji "They should fit you, if they don't, just let me know." Warner left the room. The clothes Kenji was given were not his uniform. He had been given black dress pants, the type you would wear to a fancy event. A long sleeved white shirt and a long, soft grey coat. Warner had also gathered his holster and guns from where they were discarded on the floor, the night before, taking that as a que to put them on. When he was ready he surveyed himself in the mirror, he looked important. It was a lot more restricting than his uniform but it was rare he ever actually needed to do anything he needed to move quickly for. However Kenji also noticed the abundance of hickeys down his neck, not hidden by the stiff collar.
Kenji located Warner in his office, sitting behind his desk, nursing a cup of coffee. He stared at Kenji when he walked in, his green eyes slowly working there way up Kenji's form. Pausing at the sight of his neck, the ghost of a smirk appearing on his lips. "haha, very funny" Kenji said dryly "can't I just have a jumper like yesterday? People are going to see"
"And?" Warner asked dryly. "What do you mean 'And'??? People are going to see, and as far as anyone else is concerned you are the only person I've been with for the past day"
"Oh, so your embarrassed by me Kishimoto?"
"What! No! It's just- you know- I didn't think you would've-" Kenji huffed, "You don't seem like the type to have your petty fuck parading around in your clothes with fucking hickeys all over their neck" the words came out fast and Kenji felt his face heating up. "Kishimoto, what gave you the idea you were a petty fuck?" Warner asked, pinning Kenji down with his eyes. He stood up and walked to Kenji, he reached out and grasped his jaw, stroking his thumb along it. "If I didn't want to have sex with you I wouldn't of, drop the pathetic act. If you want me just ask." Kenji's mouth went dry. "Understand?" Kenji nodded. Warner kissed him, it was soft, like the first time. His hands clasped around Kenji's waist. It only lasted a second or two, and Warner explained about how he needed to go to a meeting in 5 minutes, he straightened out Kenji's coat and turned away.
The meeting today was different, Warner was not the one presenting. Instead, it was a high end guard. He introduced himself as the supervisor of a storage unit near sector 45 and was talking about the constant disappearance of supplies. At first they thought it was some greedy soldiers however when they checked the residence nothing was found (Kenji had his suspicions on who'd taken them but kept his mouth closed). Warner help an aggravated expression, barked some orders about reinforcements and said something about insubordination. Turns out that was not the only meeting, Warner was booked in for the rest of the day. Meaning Kenji was dragged around and had to stand up for hours. Usually he wouldn't mind this, but today his legs ached, everything ached. And even if the idea of sitting sounded painful it would be better than standing, or would it, he didn't know. Instead he opted for leaning against the wall, arms crossed, like a stroppy teenager. Warner didn't seem to have taken note, but then again he might just be ignoring it.
The meetings stopped after dinner (Kenji had kept an eye out of Rick, Oliver and Lance just to signal he was fine, and when he caught Ricks attention his eyes drifted down to the dark bruises all over his neck and raised an eyebrow). Now Warner was on his way back to his office. They hadn't said much since that morning. When they entered, Warner disappeared through the door that lead to his room. When he returned Kenji's jaw practically fell to the floor. Warner returned wearing a tight white t-shirt, that pointedly highlighted his thick arm muscles and abs. And grey joggers. Kenji didn't quite know what to say. It was like they had reversed roles, Warner taking Kenji's relaxed, comfortable look and he taking Warner's smart, presentable one. He looked so...normal? "Are you done gawking Kenji" Warner's voice snapped. "No" Kenji replied in truth, continuing to look him up and down. "In fact I think I'd like to look a little longer" Warner turned away but Kenji swore he caught a glimpse of a smile, dimples coming through. Kenji assumed he was going to just go back to work of something but the blonde continued towards one of the bookcases, pressed a button or something then the wall slide to the side revealing life in his office. "Jesus Christ, that's been there the whole time? Where does it even go?"
"It goes down to my personal training facilities"
"Of course you have personal training facilities" The elevator door opened and Warner stepped inside, Kenji followed him, only after did he realise his presence might not have been appreciated. Warner didn't say anything though, in fact Kenji could've sworn he'd moved closer to him.
Warner's 'personal training facilities' felt like an understatement of a name, (Kenji should've probably guessed when they took a literally elevator from his office). It was essentially a massive hall containing about every piece of gym equipment in the world. As well as a fucking shooting range, with a wall of guns. A wall of guns. It's own locker room leading off to a set of showers. Just for one person. Warner had already set off, occupying a bench press. They spent 4 hours in there. Kenji just sat and watched, fixated on the blondes body. He was surprised that even thought they'd spent so much time in there Warner hadn't broken a sweat. At some point they made their way back upstairs, it was only 11:30 and Kenji assumed he would be dismissed soon.
But then Warner didn't say anything and it got later and later. "If your tired just go to sleep in my bed, of you could go back to your dorm. It's up to you"
"That's like the equivalent of asking me whether I want to sleep on a slab of cold, hard metal or if I want to sleep on a cloud crafted by god himself." Warner shrugged "I take that as you'll be staying here"
"Duh, when do you go to sleep anyway?" Kenji was curious, Warner always stayed in his office till around midnight before Kenji was dismissed and then looked like he had been up for hours the next morning. "Not till late,"
"How late"
"3:00 am maybe later"
"Why? You literally have the most comfortable bed in the entire universe and you don't even use it"
"Just go to sleep Kishimoto" Warner told him, shaking his head. Kenji got up, waving him a goodnight and collapsed in Warner's bed.
Chapter 9: Chapter 9
Chapter Text
The next few days were amazing. Kenji had just stayed in Warner's quarters, wearing his clothes, occasionally following him to meetings, using his gym. It was nice, in fact is was amazing. Warner's schedule was bizarre though. It was seldom that he went to bed anytime Kenji did, the only signal that he had been asleep at all was at some ridiculously early hour of the morning, Kenji felt the revoke of a warm arm from around his waist and the shift in weight on the bed as Warner left, followed by the hiss of the shower. They talked more though. Well, Kenji talked more. Warner had the power to turn the conversation back to focus on Kenji again, usually whenever Kenji started asking anything about his past.
Today was different though. When Kenji woke up the blonde was still curled round his body. The clock on the nightstand read 5:30. "Hey, uhh, Warner" The blonde stirred at the sound of Kenji's voice. "What's wrong?" His voice was husky, half muffled in the back of Kenji's hair. "It's 5:30. Don't you need to be up?"
"And here I was thinking you would enjoy waking up with me," he said it in a half-hearted, sarcastic manner "What! I only asked because your the one with the tight schedule." Warner let out a laugh behind him "I appreciate your concern though Kenji, but everything is fine" Warner's arm moved tighter around him and they lapsed back into silence. For a few minutes. Until Kenji opened his mouth again "What does that A stand for?9
"What?"
"On your badge 'A. Warner' what does the A stand for?"
"My name, Kenji"
"No shit Sherlock. But what is your name?" A moment passed and Kenji thought he wasn't going to say anything at all. "Aaron," it came out quietly. "Aaron," Kenji repeated, going over each syllable. "It suits you, better than Warner anyway,"
"Warner is my mother's last name,"
"What about your dad?" Kenji cursed himself when Aaron didn't reply, wishing he could take the words back. "My father isn't the greatest. You've seen the scars on my back." Kenji pushed himself up, facing him. "He did that, holy shit. Are you alright? Do you need something?" Kenji asked panicking. Aaron sat up too, coming in front of Kenji's face "I'm fine, it was ages ago anyway. He used to say they were my birthday gifts, every year since i was 5, all the way up too 18." Kenji didn't know what to say, so he settled for throwing his arms around Aaron's shoulders and holding him. Aaron was taken aback at fist, before wrapping an arm around Kenji in return. Aaron slowly pulled them back down, Kenji laying on top of him. Eventually Aaron's lips began to trace over Kenji's skin. They exchanged kisses. Running their fingers up and down each others bodies. Aaron's hands slipping under Kenji's shirt, gripping his waist. They sat like that for a while. Just enjoying each other, they didn't go any further though. Detaching from one another, going off to get ready.
Kenji had finally acquired his uniform again. Aaron still gave him one of his coats, telling him that they would be going back to the asylum to collect Juliette. Also telling him that for the last 2 day Adam Kent had been placed in her cell to get an analysis on his stable she was. Just like everything else that day, the car journey was different too. He and Aaron still sat together in the back of the SUV but Aaron's hand found it's way over Kenji's thigh. Lightly grasping onto it, Kenji could've sworn he was slowly travelling further up his leg as well. Making Kenji slightly hard, staring out the window to distract himself. When they arrived at the black, dismal building Warner instinctively grabbed Kenji's wrists, "No running off this time, please." he said in a low voice so only Kenji heard. He nodded moving closer to the blonde to signify he understood. Aaron lead him to a room, dimly lit, dropped his hold over him and pulled up a chair. There were other soldiers in the room, all standing like statues, their guns brandished across their chests. Kenji stood closer behind Aaron's chair, not wanting to stray to far.
The scrawny girl he had seen on the monitors was even thinner in real life. She had a confused, fragile face and was looking around the room in fear. Kenji felt bad, he couldn't imagine what it must feel like to have been locked up in solitude and then, when your finally given the hope of freedom, greeted with a group of terrifying men holding guns in a dark room. Kenji also caught sight of the girl staring at Adam an expression of betrayal breaking through her features. Then Aaron began to talk, capturing her attention. She remained passive. She didn't travel back in the car with them.
Kenji had around 5 brief minutes before Warner was alerted of Juliette's arrival and went to leave. Then when Kenji started to follow after him, he held up a hand and told him to stay there. He wasn't given a chance to respond as Aaron exited through the door. He didn't show up for the rest of the afternoon, Kenji paced back and fourth in the office. Keenly looking at the door after every creek. Time passed and Kenji wasn't about to miss eating dinner over Aaron's absence so he made his way downstairs and, instead of sitting in his usual seat, went to occupy the empty seat by Rick. Whom raised and eyebrow at Kenji, puzzled, but didn't say anything. Warner did show eventually, followed by the girl. He looked around, finding then holding Kenji's gaze (Kenji saw a distinct look of relief wash over him). However Kenji made no motion to move though, and it was for the best when the girl sat down in Kenji's spot. In his chair.
And Warner did nothing.
On top of that Juliette was loud. Kenji was never loud. She asked questions, made it vocal in her distaste for the Reestablishment. At one point outright insulting Aaron, making Kenji clench his hands into tight fists, his nails pressing into his skin. Kenji always sat there in silence, respecting the treatment Warner gave him. Then this girl shows up and he didn't even shut her up, letting her waffle on about everything. When Kenji finished he thought about just going back to his dorm, continue to catch up with everyone like they had while eating. But when he stood up, he could feel the green eyes tracing his body and he sighed before making his way back to Warner's office.
Aaron didn't show up. For hours. Kenji was tired. Pissed off and tired. Who did that girl think she was? Why was Kenji just being shoved away? He took a deep breath. He was being stupid. Kenji was just about to go to bed when the oak door of the office opened. Aaron walked into the room, "Where did you go? I told you to stay here and you didn't" his voice angry. "Well it didn't look like you had much issue filling my vacancy," Kenji challenged. "Stop being dramatic. I came back here to get you and you had gone, that's not my fault"
"You were gone for hours, then I came back here and you were still gone."
"I had others things to do"
"Right, other things to do that I was conveniently left out of when my one job is to follow you around, especially when you disappeared off with what you told me was the most dangerous weapon in the world. Then, after being shut out and waiting for you for hours with no show, I decided to go get some dinner. Where you take that girl downstairs and let her take my seat, only for her not shut up the entire time," Kenji blurted out crossing his arms over his chest and turning away. "Kishimoto," Warner said slowly "Are you jealous?" He asked stepping closer to him. A small smirk appearing on his lips "No, Of course not." Kenji defended himself. Aaron was standing in front of Kenji now. "Really?"
"Yes really, why would I be jealous?" Aaron's was in front him now, pinning him to the wall. "You tell me."
"Your such an asshole" Aaron didn't respond, simply raising an eyebrow. Kenji didn't say anything and tilted his head up defiantly. "I think your jealous because you can't go one day without being the centre of attention."
"No-"
"One day without being my centre of attention. You like it don't you, following me around everyday knowing you're the only thing I'm thinking about. You like wearing my clothes, sleeping in my bed. It turns you on doesn't it. The idea you're owned by me. Mine." Aaron pulled Kenji towards him, so their bodies were merged together. Aaron pressed his lips against his neck. Kenji's head was turned away stubbornly, refusing to give in. "Come on Kenji," he pleaded "Be mine. Let me show you how much you mean to me." Aaron continued, as he began to suck and bite, searching for Kenji's sweet spot. When he found it, Kenji let out a whimper. Aaron smiled as he watched Kenji bite down on his lips. "Please, I want you," The blonde coaxed, gripping onto Kenji's hips. He was hard and he knew Warner could feel it, due to the fact he slowly began to grind against Kenji. In response he tipped his head against the wall, forcing himself not to make a sound. "Love, please," his voice was now needy, muffled in the crook of Kenji's neck. Maybe it was the pet name or maybe it was due to the desperation Aaron was showing (which was probably just an act to get Kenji to reciprocate). But Kenji caved and reached his hands up to hold Warner's head, guiding his lips to Kenji's. Kenji wasn't prevented from taking charge as he pushed his tongue into Aaron's mouth. His other hand crawling under Warner's shirt, tracing his abs.
At some point Aaron had lead them over to one of the black sofas. Discarding various items of clothing as they went. When Warner sat down he pulled Kenji on top of him, so he was straddling the blonde's lap. They continued to roll their hips against each other, placing open mouthed kiss along the other, making them both moan, crave more. "Kenji, love, ride me." He said in a coarse, deep voice that Kenji let out a high pitched animalistic sound he wasn't even aware he could make. "okay-, fuck, yes please," it was a strangled beg Kenji becoming more desperate. Together they worked off whatever they had left on. Eventually grinding their bare cocks together, groaning in pleasure. Kenji lifted himself up, Aaron's hands running up and down his thighs. Kenji reached a hand down, teasing his hole, before entering one of his fingers inside. Slowly pressing it in. Groaning at how he was making himself feel. "Oh God, your so perfect love. Getting stretched out on your own fingers, about to ride my cock" Aaron told him, kissing down his stomach. Kenji added another digit, curling it deep inside of him, pushing them in and out. He retracted his fingers once he felt ready enough "I-I'm good-" he managed to get out. Warner's fingers came up to guide his hips. Kenji lowered himself onto Aaron, tipping his head back as he was filled up, wincing at the pain. Once he bottomed out, Aaron kissed him on the lips, allowing him to adjust. "God, you're so tight. You feel so good Kenji." He began to move, slowly going up and down. Aaron let Kenji choose the pace he wanted to go at, running one hand through Kenji's hair the other moved along Kenji's v-line, occasionally brushing along Kenji's dick. When he quickened the pace, Warner gripped onto his hips. Holding tight enough for marks to form. "You're so amazing Kenji. Juliette could never make me feel like this. I'm going to see her tomorrow and this is all I'm going to think about, you bouncing up and down on me." Kenji moaned loudly, the image filling his head. "She could never be this tight. Never be this pretty for me." Aaron continued, the grip on Kenji's body tightened and he let Warner guide the pace. Ruthlessly moving Kenji up and down. "Maybe, tomorrow you could come with me. Show off all the marks I've made on you, show everyone how your mine. Do you want that love?" Kenji nodded helplessly, unable to form understandable words, if any. "Tell me Kenji, do you want that?"
"Y-yes pl-please-" Kenji blurted out, still unsure of wether Aaron could understand. He was getting closer, turning more and more undone. Then Warner moved one of his hands down to carefully stroke Kenji's cock, contrasting the brutal pace he was being fucked at. All the different sensations edging him on. "Aaron~, I'm going to-"
"Good Kenji, do it. Cry my name out as come" Aaron swiped one of his fingers over the Kenji's tip. That was all the stimulation he needed. Crying out the blondes name, over and over. Digging his nails into Warner's back. Aaron then used him to get himself off, controlling him like a fuck toy. Filling Kenji up, just like the previous time.
"You're so good to me Kenji," Aaron told him as they came down from their highs. Running his hands along Kenji's back, rubbing comforting circles onto his skin. "I'm sorry I left you earlier" Aaron whispered. "It's fine, I'm coming with you tomorrow" A small smile forming on his face. "So you are, love" Aaron planted a kiss on Kenji's cheek. When Aaron pulled out Kenji winced, and the feeling of emptiness followed.
Aaron carried Kenji to the shower (he had attempted to walk but his legs had lost all ability to hold him up). Warner spent his time cleaning Kenji up, his touch soft, careful. When they finished Aaron gave Kenji one of his loose fitting t-shirts and placed him on the bed. "I have some work to do, I'll be in my office. Just give me a shout if you need me okay?"
"Take me with you?" Kenji asked, the blonde sighed but didn't reject him. Aaron walked behind his desk, Kenji sitting on top on him again, his head laying against Aaron's shoulder. They spent the rest of the night like that, one of Warner's arms hugged round Kenji's torso, the other signing off papers. They talked a bit, discussing random topics. Mostly following what the world was like before. It was late when Aaron finished and they went to bed.
Chapter 10: Chapter 10
Chapter Text
Aaron had gotten up early again, the door to his office ajar. Beams of light shining through into the dark of the bedroom. Kenji got out of bed sluggishly. His legs ached. In fact everything ached, and he was sore, he had the impression he would never be able to sit down again. Aaron had left him some clothes. Black cargos and a black shirt, it was pretty standard except for the neckline of the shirt was lower than usual. Displaying the marks, all over his neck, that had been embedded by the blonde. Warner was standing in front of one of the book shelves, "Morning Aaron" Kenji said, leaning against the desk. "Good morning" Aaron turned coming to stand before Kenji. "Did you sleep alright?" He asked, "Yes." A slight smile appeared on the blondes face "Good." Kenji pulled the blonde to him pressing their lips together. Kenji ran a hand through the blondes hair. Trailing his mouth along the perfectly shaped jawline, "Love, is now really the best time?" Aaron asked. Not making any motion to stop Kenji though. "Why wouldn't it be?" Kenji replied between kisses, working his way into the crook of Aaron's neck. "Because we have to go, unless you want to be left here again."
"You wouldn't dare"
"Oh, I wouldn't count on that, I could walk out of here right now. Lock the door, post guards outside every exit and you'd be forced to sit and wait for me," It was a tease. Kenji knew it was a tease. But it still got to him. "Asshole" he mumbled, detaching himself from Warner. Heading towards the door, Aaron following closely behind. Kenji held the door open for the blonde letting him take the lead down the hall.
Turns out the girl had been staying in a room one floor down, several guards were post out side and along the hallway. They paused outside the door. "Love, could you just wait out here. I'll leave the door open a crack. You will be able to hear everything." Aaron leaned in close to Kenji, lowering his voice so no one else could hear. Kenji nodded, and it slightly pained him to see the flash of relief over his face as Aaron opened the door and disappeared. Mindfully leaving the door ajar. Kenji turned away, straightening out his posture. In secret he strained his ears, listening in. He could hear talking but couldn't make out any words. Further down the hall he caught sight of a familiar face. Oliver was staring at him, looking him up and down. Kenji raised a hand in greeting. Only after did he realise how odd the action was, he'd forgotten how strict and conformed it was like. Kenji laughed and Oliver had a face full of shock. He gave up with his post at the door and went over to him, realising that everyone there was watching him. "Hi, how are you?" Oliver didn't reply for a second and Kenji thought he was just going to ignore him. "I'm fine. You?"
"I'm good,"
"I can see that, spending all your time with that girl of yours?" He motioned to Kenji's neck. "Yeah, I guess you could say that"
"Come on Kenji just tell me who it is." He pleaded. "No, I can't"
"Come onn, it doesn't matter" Kenji sighed "you only say it doesn't matter because you don't know who it is."
"Look, I swear on my life I will not tell anyone. At all. Ever."
"I cannot tell you. I'm sorry." Oliver rolled his eyes "Okay, okay. Just give me a clue?" Kenji sighed, what harm could a clue do? I mean he said he wouldn't tell anyone and if he works it out then Kenji wouldn't be the one at fault because technically he didn't tell. "Fine, but I swear if you say anything at all to the others I'm sure this person would take great pleasure in blowing all of your brains out."
"Yes! Now what's the clue?"
"In a way I've already given you one." Kenji said with a smile. "They would like to blow up your brains."
"Thats it?"
"Yup, all you get." Oliver grumbled something under his breath, then took a moment to think. "Oh. My. God." His eyes widened. He was about to open his mouth to say something else when the door opened. Aaron and Juliette exited a look of anger on her face, for someone who had the ability to kill with a single touch Kenji was confused as to why Aaron had let her wear the small, shortsleeved top and shorts that she'd put on. "Kishimoto," was all Warner said and Kenji walked away from Oliver whom was still standing open mouthed.
Aaron summoned a variation of other guards that kept their focus wholly on the girl, guns pointed warningly. Kenji had barged his way through them to stand next to Aaron, mindfully avoiding the girl who was trailing timidly behind him. The blonde lead the group all the way past the ground floor into a 'basement' of sorts. The walls were white, a headache giving, blinding shade of white. Aaron lead Juliette into a room and then shut a metal door behind her with a screech. Then set off into another room with a wall of windows showcasing the girl on the other side. "There're mirrors for her, she can't see us." He explained to Kenji. "And what is she doing?"
"I'm putting her into a simulation, to try and get her to showcase what abilities she has"
"Right and how will the simulation do that exactly." Aaron sighed, "It's not real Kenji, remember that please" That made Kenji even more suspicious, a bad feeling growing inside of him. Aaron continued, gesturing to a monitor "on this we can see what Juliette sees." Kenji fixated on the screen.
Juliette was standing in a white room, like Kenji could see himself. However Juliette could also see a child, this was not real. Kenji could see her, on both the screen and reality, begin to slowly freak out as it occurred to her that the child in question was mere seconds from being killed. She began to scream (it was comical to watch through the glass but the screen showed cased a horror story instead). Torn between going to save that child, where it would most likely be hurt by her. Or let it die the other way. She decided on the former running forward and snatching the baby away. But as soon as she made contact with the child. It began to scream. A bloodcurdling, ear shattering scream. Loud and torturous. Juliette was now hammering down on the glass, understanding that she was being watched from the other side. Kenji had to turn away when he saw the howling child suddenly go still. It looked so real. It made him sick. There was a brief moment of silence, the recognition of what had happened dawning on her.
Then a crash. Thundering all around him. Splinters of glass flying through the air. The next second she had Aaron pinned against that wall. Kenji didn't hesitate to draw his gun, positioning it so there would not be any need for a second shot. The other men followed suit. He was honestly about to fire when Aaron said "Don't you dare shoot her" A pause "If any of you shoot her I'll shoot you myself." His attention was set on the girl though. Her teeth were gritted together like a rabid dog, snarling at someone walking past. Kenji waited a sec before lowering the gun and taking a step back. He didn't dare to put the gun away though. Moments passed and then... Juliette collapsed? Simply going limp, Warner caught her before she hit the ground.
Taking great care in picking her up they worked their way back upstairs, Kenji raised an eyebrow when they bypassed the floor she'd been located on earlier and dumped onto Aaron's bed instead. "You you dump every person that passes out on you in your bed?" It was a sarcastic, petty but Kenji couldn't help it. "Kenji," Aaron sighed, taking his hand pulling him into the office, shutting the door behind them. The room was dimly lit. "I was joking," Kenji said defensively "I'm more pissed off about the simulation. Did you even tell her, that's not the reaction of someone who knew that was not real,"
"No," he said through gritted teeth "It wouldn't have gone the same way if she knew,"
"The same way? She could've killed you! You could be dead right now,"
"I'm happy you care so much love, but the desired effect was for her to act out in someway," Warner told him. Kenji rolled his eyes, giving up with trying to lecture Aaron. He walked away collapsing on the sofa. Aaron followed joining him before flipping Kenji over so he was now on top of the blonde. "This is our bed for the night?" Aaron hummed in response. "Splendid," his voice again laced with sarcasm. "One night won't kill you, besides I think you'll find I'm rather comfortable,"
"You're beds nicer," Warner's arms tightened around his waste "Sure thing love, now go to sleep"
Kenji awoke to the sensation of lips along his shoulders. Kenji groaned turning into the sofa, hoping to return back to sleep. However as soon as he'd displayed he was conscious, Aaron had sat up, still with his arms around his torso. "Sorry, I need to get up Kenji, you can go back to sleep once I've gone," Aaron explained "m'k, where you going?"
"Just to get ready, do my workout for a bit,"
"You're insane," He felt a quick kiss against his cheek and then Aaron left. He promptly fell back asleep.
The next time he was roused it was due to the feeling of his legs being shifted off the sofa, and voices. One belonging to Aaron the other one he didn't know. He opened his eyes, Warner was seated on the other end of the sofa Kenji was lying on, presumably the person who moved his legs. On the small table there was a pot of coffee, accompanied by a variation of breakfast items. A elderly man sat on the opposite sofa, the pair were having mild conversation. Kenji sat up groggily, rubbing his eyes. Aaron looked over at him flashing a quick smile before turning back to the stranger. "Delalieu this is Kenji Kishimoto, Kishimoto this is Delalieu" Warner said briefly, the man nodded to Kenji in greeting. He sat quietly, Aaron offering him a mug full of the bitter substance, taking a sip to help wake himself up. They were talking about Warner's schedule for the day, important issues that had come up. It puzzled Kenji as to whom this man was and why he had any business in Aaron's life, even more confused as to how relaxed he looked around the blonde. The only person who he'd ever seen so comfortable around the chief commander of sector 45 was himself. They continued their talk for the next 10 minutes before Delalieu said his goodbyes and left. "Has she woken up yet?" Kenji questioned, "No, go have a shower and get changed" Kenji nodded rising from the sofa and walking into the dark of the bedroom. Taking note of the small silhouette sprawled on the bed.
When he finished his shower Aaron was still in his office. "Who was that then?"
"Just someone I know, he helps manage my schedule and other things that need to be done round here"
"How come I've never seen him?"
"Why do you get so invested in my business?" Aaron redirect. "Because I can and you let me"
"I feel that decision's consequences everyday" Warner said with a sigh. Kenji sniggered, as he walked about the room. "What do you do with her now?"
"Again, why do you need to know" The blonde quipped back. Kenji huffed giving up. He eventually found himself behind Warner's desk, slowly he pulled out the chair. Aaron's eyes snapped to his, alerted by the creak of the floorboards. Kenji continued, maintaining eye contact as he moved to sit down. Technically Kenji had sat on the chair before but he didn't think it counted if he was on top of the blonde. It was comfortable and plush, he relaxed into it for a moment. Then he lent forward over the desk. Clasping his hands together. "I'm Aaron Warner and I'm a massive asshole for everyone but my sexy bodyguard Kenji Kishimoto whom I want to go down on everyday" He said it in a low tone, trying to impersonate the blonde watching from the sofa, unamused, "You done?"
"How dare you speak to me in that tone, I am going to shoot you in the head now" Kenji continued. Aaron stood up with another huff and was working his way round the desk. Kenji assumed the blonde would grab him by the legs and tug him off it. However he just pulled out the chair and turned it to face him. Peering down over Kenji. A moment of silence past before Aaron spoke again.
"I like you like this" He said looking down on Kenji. "And what do you mean by that?"
"I like you sitting in my chair," Kenji could've sworn Aaron went slightly pink as he said it. Kenji smirked, sinking further into the seat and spread his legs out wide. "Like this?"
"Yes Kenji, like that." He sounded fed up, more to do with himself than Kenji's behaviour. It took him a second to comprehend what he was doing to the blonde, Aaron was getting hard off Kenji sitting in his chair. It must've also been the reason he'd given Kenji his clothes, let him sleep in his bed, (not that it didn't get to Kenji because it very much did). He liked Kenji being his. He thought about it smugly, finally having something over him. "Why are you so annoyed then?" he wanted to get Aaron to confess to it though. Admit that Kenji was turning him on. "I'm not annoyed"
"Really? Because you seem like you are. What's wrong?" He tried to coax Aaron "Did I do something?" Idly he reached a hand down, began to run his fingers along his stomach. Occasionally reaching down lower. "I think you know full well what your doing" Aaron swallowed, his eyes keenly following the lean fingers. "You sure? I think you should to tell me," Kenji was doing the exact same thing Aaron had done to him. Forcing him to say how much they want the other. Kenji brushed one of his fingers along his cock, through the fabric of his jeans. Letting whatever absurd noises he made escape. Aaron still had his green eyes pinned onto Kenji. "Please, tell me" Kenji had began to stroke his thumb over his clothed dick, multiple whimpers falling from his lips. "Tell me what you need from me, I want to be good to you Aaron. I want to be so good,"
"Kenji, God, you already are,"
"N-no, tell me what this does to you," Kenji wanted to put on a show for the blonde, make him beg. He made sure to exaggerate every motion and sound. "It turns me on Kishimoto" Aaron's voice was aggrieved, strained. "Why th-though?"
"Because you're getting yourself off in front off me and look so perfect doing it," He said it bluntly. "M-more than-n that," Kenji had undone his fly and pulled out his dick, slowly running a hand up and down his length. "Because your getting off for me. Is that what you want for me to say love? For me to tell you how much I enjoy you being mine," Aaron finally said and Kenji nodded. Still jerking himself off leisurely, when a thought popped into his mind.
He slipped down from the chair, positioning himself on his knees before Warner. He unbuckled his belt and worked down Aaron's pants. Kenji traced his lips along his thighs, before taking Warner's cock into his hands. He was hard. But Kenji still spent his time slowly pumping his dick, savouring every groan he got out the blonde above him. He ran his tongue from the base to the tip teasingly. Swivelling his tongue over the throbbing end, tasting the pre-cum that had built up. "Love, I'm begging you, stop teasing," Aaron pleaded, running his hands through Kenji's hair. Kenji grinned up, revoking his mouth all together and continuing to stroke his length again. "Kenji," his voice exasperated as he involuntary thrust forward. "Okay, okay," He said, before taking Aaron into his mouth. Sucking and swallowing, taking him in bit by bit. Running his tongue over the vein. Kenji looked upwards. Warner's head was tipped back, mouth open, eyes closed. He grazed his teeth along Aaron's cock, getting a hiss in response. "Something wrong?" Kenji asked briefly, letting him go. "No, no. Just sensitive, keep going" Kenji did, pulling more moans from the blonde. Aaron tugged his head up and down, fucking his face. "Kenji, I'm going to-" Kenji hummed, trying to tell Aaron to let go and cum in his mouth, the vibration sending him over the edge. His hands became taunt on his hair, pulling hard, forcing his dick to the back of Kenji's mouth making him gag. Before coming, forcing Kenji to swallow it.
After, Kenji pulled his mouth away with a satisfying 'pop'. Redressing Warner and buckling up his pants. "Get up, Kenji" Aaron ordered him. He did as he was told and pulled himself up, his knees slightly hurting from being on the floor for so long. Aaron grabbed his hips and propped him up on the desk. The blonde wrapped his fingers around Kenji's dick, the pads of his fingers rough. "Let me jerk your off, love"
"Please-" Kenji replied breathily. Aaron kissed him, smothering Kenji's moans. "God, you amaze me," He mumbled, fastening his pace. Kenji braced his arms on Warner's shoulders. "Kenji, love, you're so perfect. Sucking me off before even finishing yourself," He continued to kiss, and suck on Kenji's lips. "Shit, shit, shit. Aaron," Kenji came quickly. Before Warner gave him a quick kiss and disappeared into the bedroom.
