Work Text:
Ding!
Yes, Wednesday had recently gotten a phone as she has realised it wasn’t all that bad, she still rarely uses it though, her main purposes for it was texting, calling and taking photos, even though Enid made her sign up on Instagram, Youtube and Snapchat, she still rarely uses it. Right now it was a text from her boyfriend, Tyler Galpin, Jericho’s most famous monster, he was a hyde, almost arrested for the murder of 8 people, but was released once the court dug deeper into his case and found out that he was controlled, abused, groomed and drugged by Laurel Gates, and was only sentenced to Hyde therapy, Tyler and Wednesday started dating shortly after he was released. All that happened 7 months ago.
Tyler- Hey Wens! you free saturday?
Wednesday- Depends on what you want me to do.
Tyler- I have an idea for a date, it’s going to be a small surprise, you in?
Wednesday- I’ll do it to avoid Enid’s girls day.
Tyler- I expect nothing less, I’ll pick you up at Nevermore, see you on Saturday!
Wednesday- Goodbye.
Skip to Saturday, Tyler parked his car outside of Nevermore waiting for Wednesday, he planned to surprise Wednesday with a baking date, though he would have to take her shopping for ingredients first.
“Hello cockroach.” Tyler smiled at the sight of his gothic beauty.
“What abdominal surprise have you planned this time Galpin?” Wednesday said as she climbed into the car.
“It wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you, but we will have to stop at the supermarket first.”
“Seriously?”
“Dead serious. I promise you’ll enjoy today Wens.”
“If I don’t, you have to promise me two quads.”
“You already get free quads on a daily basis.” Tyler drove back into the town of Jericho, and when they arrived at the supermarket he took out a list. ‘
“A list? Flour, butter, chocolate chips… Tyler your surprise date is a baking date?” Wednesday grabbed the list and looked somewhat amused.
“Why not? We never done it together before.” Tyler shrugged as he got the butter.
“I was hoping you were taking me to the graveyard, I’m disappointed.”
“If you were truly disappointed you would have left me alone by now.”
“Who says I’m not planning to.”
“You wouldn’t you love me too much. See you’re even helping me!” Tyler teased her as Wednesday grabbed the flour.
“You are insufferable Tyler Galpin.”
“And you are my adorable Grim reaper barbie!” The two kept teasing each other while they shopped, and soon brought the groceries back to Tyler’s house, where Tyler already prepared the bowls and pans.
“You really don’t know how to bake? I thought the Wednesday Addams knew how to do everything!” Tyler teased, though he was also shocked that Wednesday had never baked once in her life.
“In my house cooking is left to Lurch, Thing or my mother, I never needed to cook or bake.”
“Well now you will learn.”
As they started baking, Tyler would teach Wednesday how to measure the ingredients and what to put together to mix. He taught her how to fold in the chocolate chips and how to shape the balls into perfect little balls. While waiting for the cookies to bake, Tyler got out his phone and played some music.
“May I have this dance my lady?” Tyler grinned cheekily as he saw Wednesday’s face scrunched up in a confused look, she hesitated but took his hand in the end, swaying her hips to the music as Tyler grabbed her waist with one hand and her hand in the other.
“I’m surprised you know how to waltz.” Wednesday said amused.
“What can I say, I’m a man full of surprises!” Tyler smiled and twirled her around the kitchen floor, and much to Wednesday’s dismay the corners of her mouth twitched up a little.
“I love spending time with you cockroach, you’re absolutely amazing.”
“I’ll admit this… date wasn’t as bad as I expected.”
Tyler felt proud of himself, and took the chance to pull her in for a sweet kiss, savouring her taste.
