“Quit perving on the first years.” Riven says as nonchalantly as he possibly can with hot jealousy running through him.

He has to give it to Sky, he doesn’t visibly show that Riven had startled him, but Riven knows him too well, and he can see it on the way Sky’s eyes widen a tiny bit when he turns around.

“Riv, just give me one second. Yeah?” Sky hurries to ask. He probably wants to get the first year out of the way in case Riven decides to get mean, which is totally an option, he’s got a habit of getting mean when he’s jealous, and everyone knows it.

Well everyone except the newcomers apparently, but it’s only the first day so Riven’s going to give the redhead a chance to learn the rules.

Besides, Sky didn’t have to be nervous, because the girl is already on her way away. “Why? You want to chase after her?” He asks anyway with a nod in the girl’s direction.

“What?” Sky asks, confused, and throws a look over his shoulder before turning back to look at Riven.

He grips Sky’s jacket with both of his hands and brings them close enough that he can feel Sky’s breath on his face. “I don’t like when you flirt with someone else.”

“I wasn’t flirting.” Sky answers, and brings his own hands up so they’re caressing Riven’s face. “You know I wasn’t flirting.” Sky then whispers before he brings their lips together in a soft kiss.

He knows. Sky would never do something like that to him.

“You love when I’m jealous and possessive.” Riven answers with a smirk.

“I do.” Sky confirms without a second of hesitation. “But I don’t like how it makes you feel.”

Riven knows what Sky is referring to, the things Riven normally only talks about at night, after they’ve fucked, when he’s laying against Sky’s chest and he feels absolutely safe. His insecurities.

He closes the space to give Sky a soft kiss of his own. “Just don’t flirt with other people, then there won’t be a problem.” Riven says with another smirk before he lets go and walks away.

“I wasn’t flirting!” He hears Sky call from behind him. “Riven!”

“Bloom.” Stella greets the shorter girl in front of her.

“Yeah. You must be Stella. Hi.” Bloom answers happily before continuing. “I was… waiting. I just… I got impatient.”

“How very American of you.” Stella answers with a fake smile. “By the way, just so you know, if you want your stay here to be painless, you would be wise to stay away from Sky.”

“Who?” Bloom asks, confused.

“That boy you were talking to.” Stella tells her and inclines with her head to where Sky and Riven were kissing. “You’ll make Riven jealous, and trust me, you don’t want that.”

“I, uhm, I, I wasn’t-“ Blooms tries to explain but she's interrupted by Sky's voice from across the courtyard. “I wasn’t flirting!… Riven!”

Later that night, Sky’s at the welcoming party when he meets the girl again.

“This is a lot of people.” He hears from behind him.

“What?” He asks with a chuckle. “You don’t have parties in… California?” He says with a little uncertainty that he remembered correctly.

“Oh, he remembers.” The girl says with a smile that quickly disappears just as Sky feels a familiar arm sneak around his waist, and when he looks to the side, he sees Riven but the other isn’t looking at him, he’s looking at the girl.

“What’s your name?” Riven asks with a smirk.

“I’m Bloom.” The girl, Bloom, answers with a hint of hostility in her voice.

“Bloom.” Riven repeats like he’s tasting the name. “Don’t be a slut, Bloom. Go find someone who’s not taken.” He says before placing a soft kiss on Sky’s cheek.

“Riven, you’re being mean.” Sky says at the same time as Bloom says. “Excuse me?”

“I know.” Riven answers Sky first with another kiss on his cheek, before looking back at Bloom who at this point was so red in the face that it was almost as red as her hair.

“You heard me, stay the fuck away from Sky.” Riven tells her before he grabs Sky’s hands and drags him out of there.

No one says anything before they’re back in their room.

“You were really mean to her Riven.” Sky says as Riven gets him to sit on his bed before Riven places himself in Sky’s lap.

“I know.” Riven whispers inches from Sky’s lips. “Now please fuck me until I feel better, and then cuddle me to sleep.”

“Your wish is my command.” Sky answers with a soft smile before closing the distance between them
