Chapter 1: Prologue

“I’m sorry my love,” tweeted Polaris, sitting on the windowsill, wings spread in preparation for flight.

 

“No!’ Renny cried out, tears in her eyes. “Don’t go!” He held the cyan and black feather gifted to them close, making sure not to mess it up.

 

“You know I must. My people need me.”

 

“I know,” Said Renny, the water in his eyes now running down her face. “But why can’t ZI come with you?”

 

Polaris turned away, looking out at the vast fields and the red tint of the sky. “It is too dangerous. I must do this on my own.” Polaris takes flight, lifting off and flying into the crimson clouds.

 

“Goodbye, my love,” Renny whispered. “Be safe.”

Chapter 2: A Threat?

Chaos stares out her window, a worried expression on her face. She reaches out through the window, her hand flickering and dissipating as it makes contact with the solid glass.

 

It was at times like these when she wished she could actually feel things. 

 

She didn’t really know what was going on; All she knew is that the sky was red and it looked cold. Of course, it could be scorching hot and she wouldn’t know, but still.

 

She sighs, voice crackling with an undertone of electricity, and walks through the wall in her bedroom over to Renny’s room.

 

“Hey, Ren-” Her expression falters when she remembered that Renny had been missing for a while now.

 

“Oh. Right.”

 

Shana goes back to her room, going into sleep mode to avoid the thoughts that told her Renny was dead.
