Chapter Text

Julian Baker entered the gym and the boytoy auction was in full swing and he felt really nervous as he knew who was taking part and Julian hoped he had enough money to bid on them.

When Julian moved to Tree Hill he had only come out as gay a few months ago and none of his friends from L.A. were accepting of him so when his dad got an offer to work in Tree Hill Julian said to take it and the next thing they know they have packed up the house and moved here.

Julian looks around trying to find his best friend Haley James.

Haley was the first person to introduce herself to Julian when he arrived and they immediately became friends and when she found out he was gay she had no problem with it and she introduced him to Marvin McFadden who's nickname is Mouth and he introduced him to Antwon Taylor who everyone called Skills due to him being amazing at basketball.

Julian spots Haley and goes over to her and she hugs him straight away.

“Hey” Julian says.

“Hey, are you excited?” Haley Asks.

“Nervous, excited and terrified,” Julian says.

“It will be fine and once you win Nathan it will all be worth it” Haley says.

Julian told his best friend about his crush on Nathan Scott a month after transferring and she has told him to go for it and Nathan might feel the same.

“Nathan will probably laugh in my face and then beat me up” Julian says.

“Or he might actually surprise you and want to get to know you” Haley says.

Julian hopes Nathan feels the same as he would love to get to know the star basketball player.

“Lets see who is up next” Julian says and he and Haley look at the program.

“Oh Mouth is up next. How much money do you think Brooke will pay?” Haley asks.

It was common knowledge around the school that Brooke liked Mouth and he was totally different from the guys she normally goes for but there was something about Mouth that made Brooke happy.

“I reckon a lot,” Julian says.

“I’ve got $200 on Mouth” Brooke says coming up behind them.

“Okay” Haley says.

Mouth comes out in the Ravens mascot outfit with a jersey over it. Everyone cheers and laughs. He takes off the head and gives it to Whitey.

“$20” Julian shouts out.

“I have a bid for $20. Do I hear $30?” Whitey asks.

“$30” A random girl shouts out.

Mouth starts taking parts of the costume off.

“Take it off!” Haley says.

“$40?” Whitey asks.

“$40” Brooke says.

“Start slow guys,” Brooke says to her friends.

“$40. Right over there” Whitey says.

“$75” Another random girl shouts.

“$75” Whitey says.

“Bet it all Brooke,” Haley says.

“$200” Brooke shouts.

“Going once” Whitey says.

Brooke looks at the other girls and she knows she has won.

“Going twice. Sold! For $200 American. Good job McFadden” Whitey says.

Mouth goes backstage and he smiles at both Skills and Nathan.

“You dirty bird,” Skills says, giving his mate a high five.

“It will be fun. It’s for charity, right” Mouth says

“Ok just because you got the girl of your dreams don't be smug just yet” Skills says laughing.

“Go get ‘em,” Mouth says.

“Okay let’s have our next boy” Whitey says.

“Well, here goes,” Skills says as he steps out on stage looking nervous.

“Don't worry I got you”Haley says.

“Alright, let’s start the bid at $20” Whitey says.

“$25” Random Girl 1 says.

“$35” Random Girl 2 says.

“$50” Random Girl 3 says.

“$75” Random Girl 4 says.

“$100” Random Girl 5 says.

“I’ll go $101” Random Girl 6 says.

“$105. $110. Oh what the hell. $115” Haley says.

“Sold!” Whitey says.

“He’s worth every penny,” Haley says.

Both Brooke and Julian laugh as Skills leaves the stage looking proud to be won by Haley.

This is the moment everyone has been waiting for and Julian is getting nervous as he knows who the last boy is with even looking at the program.

“Alright, we’re down to our last boy toy, so loosen up those purse strings, pucker up those lips and remember, this is for a good cause” Whitey says.

Nathan comes on stage wearing sunglasses and everyone cheers.

“You’re on, Nathan” Whitey says.

He tosses his glasses to Tim who is the DJ and walks down the stage. He pulls off his pants and Julian looks surprised.

“Okay, do I have a first bid?” Whitey asks.

“$80” Julian says.

“Wow,” Haley says.

Nathan takes off his shirt and his chest says “BOYTOY”.

“$85” Random Girl says.

“It smells like sex in here,” Brooke says.

“$90” Random Girl 2 says.

“$100” Julian says and all of a sudden he feels confident and he doesn't know if it's the advice his best friend gave him or the fact that Nathan Scott is in front of him and stripping in front of him.

“Do I hear $105” Whitey asks.

“$110” Random Girl 2 says.

“How much money do you have?” Haley asks Julian.

“$250” Julian says.

“Okay bid it” Haley says.

“What?” Julian asks.

“You have to bid it” Haley says.

“Haley is right you need to bid all of your money” Brooke says.

WHITEY: Going twice.

“$250” Julian says and he hopes his two friends are right.

“Going once,Going twice” Whitey says.

“Sold!” Whitey says.

Julian can't believe that he actually won Nathan Scott and just as Nathan is leaving he winks at Julian.

“Did he just wink at me?” Julian asks.

“Looks like you have your answer about Nathan feeling the same” Haley says.

“I want to thank you all for coming this evening supporting this good cause. Now all these young men belong to the highest bidders till that midnight kiss. Let’s try to keep things legal this year” Whitey says.

Everyone starts to leave the gym and most of them are disappointed that they lost out but behind them Haley,Brooke and Julian are in a very good mood.

Nathan,Mouth and Skills all come up to the dates 10 minutes later and both Skills and Mouth go straight to their dates and tell them that they are in for the best night of their lives and with that said they all say goodbye to Julian and Nathan.

Nathan has always known he was gay and he has been open about it and all his teammates on the basketball team know that he is gay and they don't have a problem with it.

When Julian came to the school Nathan was determined to get to know him and he tried everything but it was like Julian didn't want to know him so when Skills joined the basketball team and said to him that he can join him on the river court Nathan agreed and it was lucky that day Julian happened to be hanging out with Haley who was telling him that she made the Tree Hill Ravens cheerleading squad.

“So I'm all yours until midnight what you got planned for me?” Nathan asks in a flirty tone of voice.

“You'll just need to wait and see Mr boytoy” Julian replies in the same flirty tone of voice.

Nathan is intrigued to see what Julian comes up with and he can't wait to see how this evening goes.

Julian drives Nathan to a dance studio and Nathan is confused but follows his date inside.

“Julian, where are we?” Nathan asks.

“This is the Kaye Koch dance studio and it's mainly used for people who like to do hip hop,street dance and I work here but also help teach the students” Julian says.

Nathan is surprised he had no idea that Julian did this and if he is honest it turns him on a little bit.

“So are you going to show me a few moves?” Nathan asks and this time he is really close to Julian.

Julian has no idea what's happening, is Nathan going to kiss him or does Nathan want Julian to kiss him.

Nathan can see Julian is confused and he pulls him into a kiss and it takes a few minutes before Julian responds but once he does they are kissing each other like mad.

Chapter Text

Nathan and Julian stopped kissing after a few minutes and they pulled apart and they are both smiling at each other.

Nathan looks at Julian and he sees that he has some hurt in his eyes and he wonders who hurt him as they were idiots as Julian is a kind person.

“So I promised you a great night Mr Boytoy” Julian says.

“Well then show me what moves you got” Nathan says.

Julian goes and turns on some music and it's a favorite song of his and it's a song that helps show of his dancing and the song he has picked is move your body by Sia and Julian gets into position and he lets the music begin and after a few minutes the song picks up and Julian just let's himself get lost in the music.

Nathan is impressed at how well Julian can dance and he is a little shocked that the boy has kept it hidden but he can't wait to see more of Julians dancing.

3 songs later and Julian is tired and a little sweaty but he looks at Nathan and the guy is smiling so he decides he is going to teach the Scott boy how to dance.

“Ok hot stuff come and join me I'm going to teach you some moves” Julian says.

Nathan looks at him and he shakes his head and Julian goes over and takes his hand and leads him into the center.

Julian knows that Nathan is not a good dancer so he decides to go with a slow song and it's a mix of tango and hip hop so Nathan should be OK with it.

“Ok we're going to take it easy with this one so just follow my lead” Julian says.

Nathan isn't normally nervous but when it comes to dancing that's one thing he is insecure about and he just hopes Julian goes easy on him.

The music starts and the song playing is dance with me by Drew Seeley and Mexican singer Belinda and Nathan is doing great and he has only made a few mistakes.

After the song has finished both boys are still holding on to each other and Nathan is actually enjoying himself.

“So tell me about yourself?” Julian asks.

“Well this may take a while” Nathan says.

Julian stops dancing and he takes Nathan’s hand and leads him to where the couch is and the sit down.

“So I'm currently being raised by my uncle Keith and Aunt Karen who took me in when my parents died in a car crash when I was only a year old and I have always thought of them as my parents but they have told me stories about what my dad was like as my uncle Keith is my dads brother” Nathan says.

“Do you have any siblings or cousins?” Julian asks.

“I had a half brother but unfortunately he was still born” Nathan says.

“I'm so sorry Nate” Julian says and he doesn't know why called Nathan by that nickname but he likes how it sounds.

Nathan likes that Julian has given him a nickname and he knows Julian means what he says.

“So do I get to know more about you?” Nathan asks.

Julian told Nathan about what happened in L.A. after he came out and how all his friends turned their backs on him and when his dad told him that he was offered a job in Tree Hill Julian told his dad to take and he tells him how his dad was accepting of him being gay and he told Julian he loves

Nathan can't believe what Julian is telling him and he is so angry and he has a feeling Julians ex friends from L.A. have done something more to his boyfriend.

Julian likes that Nathan cares but he doesn't know why he hasn't told him that when he came out to his friends from L.A that they physically hurt him.

Julian gets up from the sofa and he leaves the room and Nathan thinks he has screwed things up but the boy comes back and he has a box and some food and he sits them down in the middle of the floor and Nathan goes over and he sits next to Julian and he opens the box and it's pictures of Julian and he is with some friends from the dance studio and others are of him and Haley and the last ones are of him,Haley and Brooke.

“That was taken the day we had the first pride event here at the studio” Julian says.

Nathan looks at the photo and he sees that Julian has his top off and he has the pride flag painted on his chest and both Brooke and Haley have the pride colors in their hair.

“Wow you look amazing” Nathan says.

“Thanks. We do it every year so I hope you're ready to take your clothes off again” Julian says.

“Oh I plan on getting my clothes off a lot with you” Nathan says and he gives Julian a kiss.

Julian puts the photos away and he and Nathan leave the studio and Nathan takes Julian to Karen's cafe and he sees that both his parents are there.

“Hey Nathan thought you were supposed to be taking part in the boytoy auction?” Keith asks.

“I did and I'm currently on my date” Nathan says.

“And you brought them here, come on Nathan show some class” Keith says.

“My cafe is a very classy place I'll have you know” Karen says coming out the back.

“Your cafe is amazing, Mrs Scott,” Julian says.

“Thank you,” Karen says.

“Julian this is my mum and dad/ Uncle and Aunt” Nathan says.

“Nice to meet you Julian I'm Keith” Keith says introducing himself.

“And I know you know who I am but I'm Karen” Karen says introducing herself.

“It's nice to meet you both and actually I've already taken Nathan to where I like to go” Julian says.

“Oh really and where is that?” Keith asks.

“Julian works in that dance studio that's not that far from here” Nathan says.

“Wow please tell me Nathan at least attempted to dance?” Karen asks.

“He was very good at the tango,” Julian says.

“Proud of you son” Keith says giving Nathan a hug.

Karen does the same and she gives Nathan a kiss on his head as mother's do.

Julian gets on with both Karen and Keith straight away and they like that he has a part time job as it shows he likes to be responsible and they know Nathan can be responsible it's just trying to get him to find a part time job that he likes.

Nathan takes Julian to his room but keeps the door open and Julian looks around and sees loads of photos of Nathan when he was younger, photos of two people a man and a woman and Julian knows that's Nathan's parents and he also sees a picture of a baby and that's Nathan’s older brother who was still born.

Nathan sees Julian staring at the photo of his older brother.

“I keep that photo there as it's a reminder of how much I mean to both Keith and Karen and that I try and make sure they know that I feel their pain” Nathan says.

“I'm sure they know how much you have helped them since you have started living with them” Julian says.

A few hours pass and it's nearly time for Julian to leave and both Karen and Keith have said he is welcome to come back.

Julian is next to his car and he has just texted his dad saying he will be home soon and his dad said that's fine.

Midnight strikes and Julian and Nathan kiss and it's just like their first kiss but this time they know it's a different type of kiss.

After the kiss both Julian and Nathan exchanged numbers and Nathan says that Julian is his boyfriend and when they get to school on Monday he is going to be proud to tell everyone.

Julian gets into his car and Nathan says he will text him later in the day and with that Julian drives off.

Chapter Text

Julian was in his room getting ready for school and he was feeling nervous as Nathan said he was going to tell the entire school that they were together.

“Julian your breakfast is ready so get a move on” Julian's dad shouts up to him.

“Yeah I'll be down in a moment” Julian shouts back.

“Now Julian” Julian's dad shouts back.

Julian knows that his dad has had the final say so he quickly makes sure that he looks good.

In the kitchen Julian's dad is plating the food up and when he sees his son enter his smiles.

“A couple more minutes wouldn't have hurt” Julian says and grabs some orange juice.

“Julian you know the rules, we eat breakfast at a certain time and you have been out of the house all weekend so do you really want to start the week off with an argument?” Julian's dad asks.

“I'm sorry dad I'm just nervous that's all” Julian says.

“I know, son but we still need to spend time together and keep each other informed about what's going on in our lives,” Julian's dad says.

Julian knows his dad is right and they have always had an open relationship and when they moved to Tree Hill they made house rules so Julian needs to do better.

“So how is Nathan doing and when do I get to meet him?” Julian's dad asks.

“He is doing fine and I don't know yet” Julian says.

“Well how about you bring him to the dinner party I'm throwing this Friday?” Julian's dad asks.

Julian looks at his dad and he wonders if the man has completely forgotten that the party is going to include all of his co-workers and clients.

“Aren't you hosting your clients and co-workers from your law firm?” Julian asks.

“Yes and your point?” Julian's dad says.

“I'm just worried that they will treat me like the ones in L.A did that's all” Julian says.

“If they do then I won't stand for it as I will not have that treatment again” Julian's dad says.

When Julian told his dad he was gay and how he shouldn't be feeling like this his dad told him its natural and no matter what Julian is loved by him and he will support him and be there for him and he has been and whenever there was a pride event Julian's dad booked that day of work and helped out and was there for his son and the other members of the LGBTQ community and he always had a t-shirt on that said free dad hugs and he saw that he was making a little difference in how he supported people.

“Thanks dad it means so much to me but how about I invite Nathan over before the dinner on Friday” Julian says.

“OK son, bring him round on Wednesday as I finish early that day” Julian's dad says.

“Wednesday is good. Right I better get to school” Julian says.

“Have a good day,” Julian's dad says.

Julian gets up and goes and grabs his school bag and leaves the house and he gets into his car and heads to pick up his friend.

Haley was waiting for her friend to come and pick her up and while waiting she was texting Skills who she had a great time with over the weekend and found him to be a really great guy.

Julian pulls up and he beeps the horn and Haley looks up from her phone and smiles.

Haley gets up and picks her bag up and she gets into Julian's car and gives him a hug.

“OK I want all the gossip and don't hold back” Haley says.

“Hello to you too” Julian says.

“Don't avoid my question,” Haley says.

“Was it a question it thought it was a greeting” Julian says.

“Very funny now spill” Haley says.

Julian doesn't answer right away all he does is drive and he knows Haley is getting impatient so he decides to give her some information.

“We kissed more than once and it was amazing” Julian says.

Haley looks at him and she can't believe it and now she can't wait to get to school.

Julian and Haley pull up at school and they get out and when they hear another car beep at them they turn around and see Brooke and Mouth getting out of the car.

“Well it looks like you two had a good weekend,” Haley says.

“Oh trust me we both definitely had a good weekend” Brooke says.

“So are you two official or just keeping it casual?” Julian asks.

“We are official,” Mouth says.

Brooke smiles and loves the fact that she has found a guy like Mouth.

“So how was your weekend guys?” Brook asks.

“Mine was good and my Friday night went how I hoped it would” Haley says.

“Good. What about you Julian?” Brook asks.

Before Julian opens his mouth Nathan pulls up and gets out of his car and he walks straight over to them all.

“Hey guys how are we all?” Nathan asks and he goes and stands next to his boyfriend.

“I was just asking Julian how his weekend went but you Mr Scott already gave me the answer” Brooke says.

Nathan smiles and intertwines his hand with Julian's and he doesn't care who sees it.

The bell goes and the group all head to the first lesson and Nathan walks Julian to class and as the two are walking people are staring at them and Nathan doesn't care.

Julian feels a little embarrassed but he is letting himself not care about what people say.

Julian and Nathan get to the classroom door and Julian decides to ask his boyfriend about Wednesday.

“So my dad wants to meet you,” Julian says.

“Yeah” Nathan.

“Yeah and it would mean a lot to me of you could” Julian says.

“Well since you met my parents it's only fair I meet yours” Nathan says.

“Are you sure as I don’t want to put you in an uncomfortable situation?” Julian asks.

“Julian I want to meet your dad so please relax” Nathan says.

Julian takes a deep breath and lets it out.

“So when do we dine with your dad?” Nathan asks.

“Wednesday as that's the only day he could do” Julian says.

“Well i can't wait” Nathan says and he gives Julian a kiss and walks to his own class.

“Kiss you later” Nathan says over his shoulder and winks at his boyfriend.

Julian smiles and walks into the classroom and the teacher is not happy but Julian doesn't care.
