Chapter Text

He didn't remember much of his early childhood, maybe he still has some memory of when he was a toddler.

The first memory he ever remembers was when he was around the age of 4 or 5, it was a Saturday morning in spring, and he was sitting on the swing at the playground of the orphanage, looking at the other kids playing on the monkey bars and slide, running and playing football in the backyard as others where sitting on the entrance stairs reading books or talking to each other, there was even a kid climbing a tree and getting yelled at the get down by a monitor.

He was alone, the only kid in the orphanage that was alone, he was also very silent compared to the noisy children who screamed and laughed. He was just lost in his thoughts until those were interrupted by a soft and feminine voice calling him.

"Hey Kim, are you okay ?"

Kim lifts his head to see a young woman with fair skin, a blond braided bun, pale blue eyes, and wearing round glasses as well as a blue empire dress, a white summer blazer, and black Mary Jane shoes.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine Céline" Kim responded in a shy tone lowing his eyes.

Céline smiles and responds "Are you sure ? You seem lonely". Kim just let out a sad sigh as he told her what's bothering him.
"No one wants to play with me, they all said I'm weird," He said in a sad tone.

Céline just sat on the swing next to him and then said "You know, I never think you are weird, you are just different and something people don't like what's different"

Kim didn't feel any better despite Céline best effort to cheer him up

Céline saw that on his face and think of something to come up with and say that

"But it's better to stand out and be unique than blend in a crowd of cruel and boring people"

That single sentence makes Kim smile and even chuckle a bit. Céline then got up off the swing and put her hand on Kim's black curly hair before she said "I'm sure you will befriend someone just like you".

That was his very first memory, at least, his first happy one. Because he also remembers an event he wished to forget.

It was the night, and everyone was asleep, Kim was suddenly awakened by the sound of someone leaving the room, despite being in the dark, he was able to see that his roommate Mahir, a 10-year-old boy wasn't in his bed.

Curiosity took the better of him and Kim left the room with no source of light and was scared as he walked through the hallways and arrived in front of the orphanage's director's office. He could light from the flashlight coming from the room so Kim opened the door and was surprised to see Mahir along with two other boys between 11 and 13 trying to force the drawer where the director kept the confiscated object.

The boys were shocked when they saw Kim enter and Mahir said "Kim, what are you doing here, you are going to get us caught". Kim didn't know how to respond and before a sound could come out of his mouth, they heard the sound of footsteps coming closer.

"Oh shit, Mrs. Delacroix is coming run," One of the boys said and they all run out of the office but Kim who was shorter, could keep up with them and eventually was the one that got caught by Mrs. Delacroix who took him violently by the arm.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE, DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA OF THE TIME" Delacroix yelled at him as Kim was feeling pain in his arm. He was so paralyzed by fear that he could not respond.

After that, he doesn't remember what happened next. Just Céline tried to defend him in front of the director to avoid expulsion to the shock of Mrs. Delacroix.

He has tones of memory from the orphanage, some good and some bad. But he clearly remembers his final day at this place. He was 6 years old, it was a Wednesday in November in the afternoon when his adoptive dads put his belongings in their car as they were ready to drive away. Kim took one last look at the orphanage who have many orphans along with the staff members including Céline and Mrs. Delacroix, and the director, all here to say goodbye to him.

Kim at the time, didn't want to be adopted, he felt like this orphanage was his home. At this moment, Céline come to him and put her hand on his shoulder.
"You are going to have a good life, I sure"

That was the final words she said to him before he left this place forever. He became the legal child of a dentist, a Vietnamese man named Lûan Lê who has black hair and maroon eyes, and Arthur Ature, a basque man with dark skin and long black hair and blue eyes, who works as a graphic designer.

And that's what he remembers until his new life in Paris starts.

"So," A Vietnamese lady in her 60s with black hair and wearing a formal light yellow attire with pearls said while looking at Kim "He is my grandson"

Kim was anxious meeting his grandmother from Lûan's side of the family, she seemed like a tiger parent who would never be satisfied no matter how much we tried to.

Lûan came next to his mother and said "He is, mother" But the grandmother doesn't seem happier. Kim was kind of stressed during that moment, all of the family were at this really big house to welcome the new member that he.

Each member of the family came to welcome him by presenting themself, each aunt, each uncle, each cousin, his grandparents, and grand-grandparents, this family was big. All of this started to make him even more anxious and he just wanted to be in a calm place.

His stomach starts to hurt because of stress, he walks up to his room while clutching his stomach. He sits on his bed and looks around the room, decorated with pastel colors and stuffed animals.

After a few minutes alone, someone knocked on the door but Kim didn't answer. This person entered the room and it was one of his cousins from Arthur's side of the family, he had a mid-brown skin tone, grey-green eyes, and dark golden brown hair styled in a side fringe. He was 7 years old, a year older than Kim
"Hey, is everything okay" The boy asked while he entered the room closing the door behind him.

Kim doesn't know what the answer is and just looks away. The boy walked to him and sat on the desk chair nearby "I guess you are afraid to fit in our family, am I right" he said and Kim simply shook his head to say yes. The boy responds "I get that, when Uncle Arthur got married, it was weird to see Uncle Lûan's family, I didn't understand a thing most of them were saying and I barely understood their culture and dynamics. But by that time, I started to get along with some of them and I even shared my passion for dance" He then turned to Kim "Do you have a passion ?"

"I like sports," Kim said softly which made him smile a bit. The boy then answers "That's cool. What sport in particular ?"
Kim hesitated and answered "I don't know for now," He said feeling his stomach ache starting to go away

The boy then smiled and said "I'm Richard by the way"

Two years have passed since this day and here is the recap of these two years.

Kim entered 1st grade and it wasn't a great start since his teacher always reprimanded him that he wasn't focused enough and he didn't make any friends, as for sports, his father Arthur had diving class and since there was a swimming class for kids at the same time, Kim was able to take those classes and the coach told him that he was very talented, at least something good. But when he turned 8 and entered 2nd grade, everything changed. During recess, he was playing on the playground, and he decided to hide under the structure for some reason and its where he found him.

He found a boy the same age as him, with short black hair, teal eyes, pale skin, and wearing a t-shirt with white and black stripes, as well as brown pants and black scratch sneakers. He was doing something with two magnets.

"Hello," Kim says in a shy tone and the boy turns to look at him "My name is Kim". The boy responded, "Hello, my name is Kenny". Kenny then looked back to the magnets that he put on the ground and start put them one next to another and when he did that, one of the magnets moved away from the other under Kim's amazement.

"Wow, how did you make that" Kim asked impressed which Kenny responded, "I didn't do anything much, I just put them on the same pole, here a north facing a north, and they just repel each other, but if I put them on the opposite pole" Kenny does what he said and the magnet attracted each other "Then they will attract each other naturally"

Kim was confused about what he just said "I don't understand", Kenny simply laughed and said "That's because we haven't learned that in school yet, I just like to know more about physics".

"You are also interested in sports ?!" Kim asked happy while Kenny said laughing again "Not physical physics, I mean science about how the world works, like why does light get reflected on a mirror or how everything is made everything".

Their conversation continued until the end of recess, and finally, Kim asked Kenny the question he always wanted to ask someone forever.
"D...Do you wanna be my friend".
Kenny quickly responded with a yes and both were very happy Both of the boys hoped this would last long.

This friendship will last long. Right ?

Chapter Text

Kenny Brooke, his best friend, no, his very first friend. They didn't have so many things in common, Kim was more of an active kid, a fan of sports, and kind of insecure while Kenny was more of a genius and straight-to-the-point person.

For so long, they were together everywhere, at lunch, next to each other during class, during recess, even together at the park where Kenny would often skate with his skateboard and Kim would just run and they would often race one against another.

4 years later, both were 12 and it was their very first day at middle school. Kim was waiting anxiously in the car with his father Lûan, his appearance had changed since he was a child, his black curly hair was now longer to his shoulder and messier, he had visible metal braces, and he was wearing a mint hoodie.

"So" Lûan started "Are you ready for your first day", Kim was still really anxious, he started to feel his usual stomach ache again but he decided to dismiss it and smile at his dad and said "Ready".

As Kim was about to open the car's door, Lûan stopped him by putting his hand on his shoulder, "Don't you forget something ?" He said while handing Kim two bottles of medicine, one contained Ritalin, and the other contained benzodiazepines much to Kim's annoyance. He hated taking those but he knew that he needed to.

After he puts the two bottles in his bag, he leaves the car and goes to the front gate of the Vauban middle school where Kenny is waiting for him unlike Kim, he didn't change that much, he still got the same clothes as he was 8 but they were larger and his hair were only slightly longer.

"Hey Kim" Kenny said happily and walked to him and they high-fived each "How was your summer ?" He asked as they walked inside the building crowded with students who were looking at some paper on the wall to see in which class they were.

Kim hesitated, afraid of his reaction but then said "Well... I started to get therapy for my anxiety and ADHD, but besides that, I spent the summer with my dads in Spain"

"Good to know" Kenny responded as they arrived in front of the sheet to know which class they are and it was a shock when they saw that Kenny was in 6th grade A but Kim was in 6th grade B. They are not gonna be in the same class.

Weeks passed and the only time Kim and Kenny were able to see each other was during recess, Kim noticed a change in Kenny's behavior, he started to talk a lot about things teens their age shouldn't know about, started to talk trash badly about some students and even teacher and when Kim asked about that, he explains that he met a boy in his class named Samuel Gara, he said that he was cool guy and he even have a collection of amazing lighter.

Hearing this makes Kim a bit uncomfortable, even more, so when Kenny proposes to meet him after school, Kim isn't sure but still accepts.

It was a Wednesday afternoon, and Kim was waiting in the park for his best friend and his other friend. After a few minutes, he saw Kenny with a boy who was shorter than him but a bit muscular, he had a black bowl cut with the tip red, dark brown eyes, a black hoodie with a red and orange fire design on it with a black ripped pants and red and black sneakers. That must be Samuel

Kim quickly got up from the bench he was sitting in and smiled "Hi, you must be Samuel. I'm Kim". Samuel didn't respond to his question as his eyes analyzed every single part of Kim's appearance. He then said to Kenny "Dude, you have been friends for years with that dumbass"

Kim was kind of angry at Samuel's response "Hey, what's wrong with you, I didn't do anything to you" he respond which make Samuel chuckle "You didn't lie when you told me that this guy is a fucking idiot".

Kim didn't understand why Samuel was so mean to him, he was right about him. At that moment, he wanted to protect Kenny from any potential dangerous influence, so he went to Kenny and said "Kenny, how could you befriend someone like that" Which made Kenny growl.

"Maybe because I don't want to always be with the same type of guy as you. You know, someone who doesn't throw up when he must speak in front of the class, who can sit still in his goddamn chair and that doesn't try to stop me from having other friends than himself" Kenny was very harsh on the last part. Those words felt like a knife in Kim's heart, he wasn't against his will Kenny to have other friends than him, he was just concerned about the bad influence on him.

"Come on Kenny, don't waste your time with this loser," Samuel said before he walked away as Kenny was following him. Kim ran after them and said "Kenny, look, I'm not trying to be mean but..." he grabbed Kenny's wrist to stop him but the second he did it, Kenny turned to face him and smacked him on the cheek "DON'T TOUCH ME BASTARD"

Kim was paralyzed by the shock of his friend's words and hit. He watched Kenny and Samuel leave the park as he held the cheek Kenny slapped which had now become red. Tears start to form in his eyes.

He lost his very first and only friend.

Chapter Text

For how many times does he have to handle this torture, not only did Kim's first friend turn on him, but he and his new pyromaniac friend decided that it would be funny to bully and humiliate him in all ways and reason possible.

They would mock his appearance whether it be his braces, his hair, his clothes, or his thin body. And if it wasn't his appearance, it was everything he was doing, for example, during classes that mix two classes like history, when he got the answer wrong they would call him stupid or even slur and he would have anxiety attacks when he had to talk in front of the class, they would make matter worst and when he was alone with Samuel, that one would not hesitate to be physical with him either is pushing, kicking, punching, pulling his hair or other things like that.

He started to be afraid to go to recess despite it being his favorite moment of the day and during lunch, he tried his best to avoid being seen so no food was thrown at him whatsoever.

7th grade announced itself as his worst year yet, not only did the bullying continue but also because he took Spanish as a second language, Samuel was in the same class as him for 3 hours a week and he would make anything to make those 3 hours a nightmare by hitting his chair or saying hurtful words to him or mock his bad pronunciation or spelling and when he told the teacher about that, he would only say that he is just helping him progress in Spanish because Samuel was a fluent speaker.

HELPING IN WHAT, this guy was legitimately calling him a "Hijo de puta" or "Estúpida" in front of the class, was this Spanish teacher an actual Spanish speaker or does he just learn what he learn from Google translation. And that teacher wasn't the only teacher he tried to talk to about the bullying only to reject him.

There was the physics teacher that does all the 7th grades who didn't believe him because she couldn't believe that Kenny, her model student who made their school win the sciences fair could do, something like that, the other was the guidance counselor who decided to call Kenny and Samuel into his office so they could explain themself, this gives Kim a bit of hope but that was immediately crushed when those manage to get out of trouble by some sort of manipulation Kim like to call "He was the one that started it".

After that, he was afraid to tell anyone about the bullying, even his dads, his therapist, or his cousin Richard who often came to visit them after his ballet classes or his classes at François Dupont, cause he thought that they would also dismiss it. He also started to have thoughts about dropping out of school, never leaving his room, and even....about death.

That wasn't until he started 8th grade, that year started like every year since middle school, he woke up feeling nauseous, forced himself to get out of bed, and dressed before looking at his appearance in the mirror, this time he was wearing a grey hoodie instead of his favorite mint one, he had also hit puberty but no acne or facial hair, taller with larger shoulder and his hair were still half-long and messy, but at least he got rid of his braces. Yep, just an average 14 years old.

He pops his prescription pills, takes his backpack, and goes downstairs for breakfast, where Arthur is waiting at the table.
"Good morning Kim, how was your night" He said in a warm voice which made Kim give him a fake smile in response, in reality, he hadn't slept that night, too stressed about being bullied again the next morning to even close an eye.

The breakfast was pretty fast, and Kim didn't remember what happened next during it he was already in front of the school gate shivering, and he wished he had pretended to be sick to avoid school that day. As he was walking to his classroom, he accidentally dumped into someone, his first reflex was to put his arms on his face to protect himself from a potential blow,...But it never happens.

When he looked down, it wasn't Kenny or Samuel on the ground but rather, a girl who seemed to be a 9th grader, a year older than him, she had brown hair in a scene hairstyle, blue eyes with black drama eyeliner, a dark blue corset top, a black box pleats skirt as well as navy long socks and black Chelsea boots. She starts to get up and looks at Kim with a bit of frustration.
"Watch where you're going"

Kim was embarrassed at that moment and said "I-I'm sorry, I just wanted to avoid..." Before he could finish his sentence, he heard laughing that where way too familiar to him. It was, of course, the two guys he tried to avoid, those two had also changed in terms of appearance, Kenny had longer hair with side fringe dyed in red that seemed to defy gravity, and he was wearing a black leather jacket, replace scratch sneakers for laces sneakers with untied laces and an industrial piercing on the right ear, as for Samuel, he has bobbed wavy hair with curtain bangs but still the red tips, a circle piercing at the under lip, the sleeves of his hoodie are gone like he ripped it himself and he has black arm glove on his right arm.

"You were trying to avoid what, with the way you look and the way you act, even NASA could see you from their satellite," Kenny says laughing uncontrollably. Kim just rolls his eyes and walks away, feeling like Kenny doesn't have any more insults in stock.

The day had ended pretty quickly but he couldn't stop thinking about the girl he just dumped, yes she was pretty but he didn't know anything more about her. He was waiting in front of the gate to get picked up by the secretary of Lûan because both of his dads were busy and couldn't pick him up. At that moment, that same girl he was thinking about arrived.

"Hey, Kim, this is your name right ?" She said in a kinder tone, Kim was really shy at that moment and didn't want to respond so the girl said "I'm Katherine, sorry for being harsh this morning, it's just that I'm new here and I don't know anyone here, so I'm kind of afraid" Kim started to feel less stressed as she continued speaking, he felt like some kind of comfort in her words, maybe it's her voice.

As they were speaking, a car approached them and it wasn't long for Kim to realize that it was Géraldine who had come to pick him up.

"Is this your mom?" Katherine asked and Kim responded "No, she is the secretary of my dad," He said as was started to walk toward the car but Katherine stopped him, slipped a note into his hands, and blinked at him.

When Kim entered the car, Géraldine asked him how was school he answered great, who was the girl he was talking to, he answered just someone he met the day and when she asked what she gave him, he looked at it and said her numbers.

Week passed and Kim started having conversations, with Katherine everywhere, every time, about everything, when she sent him a picture of her eyebrow piercing, he sent her his progress in a 200 m butterfly. Kim doesn't want to admit it to his dads, but he starts to have feelings for her, he starts to make scenarios in his head about him confessing his love to her, and having a life together, she gives him a taste of life again.
Weirdly but surely, the bullying stopped, maybe they realized that he found happiness and he couldn't be break anymore, he could say that this was his best year right now.

It wasn't until Halloween that changed his mind.

Kim was in his room preparing his costume for a Halloween event he was invited to, he looked at himself in the mirror, he was wearing a dark grey lumberjack jacket that was ripped and covered in fake blood, as well as black baggy pants and brown boots, also covered in fake blood. He painted his face to make himself look like a pale zombie and he looked happier.

At that moment, Arthur entered the room smiling and put his hands, on Kim's shoulder as put his head next to his.
"Look at yourself, your first date," Arthur said happy "Our little boy is becoming a man".

Kim chuckles "Dad stop, you are gonna mess up my makeup" As they were having fun, Kim took his phone, and his keys and was ready to leave until he was stopped by Lûan who had a worried look on his face.
"Are you sure you wanna go alone, you know neither me nor your dad will be there to pick you up cause, you know both of us are having a long reunion and we won't come back until very late at nig..." He was interrupted by Kim "I'm going to be fine, I know what metro line to take plus I know what to do if I have a problem"

With those words, Kim left the house, leaving Lûan with the same worried face he had since the beginning of the conversation, Arthur who overheard it came to him and put a hand on his shoulder "I think you should stop worrying, he is almost an adult now, he can take care of himself" Arthur said which make Lûan a little less worried but still worried.

Meanwhile, Kim arrived at the place where the event took place, it was the place of Vosges near Richard's school. He was just leaving the metro station and Katherine was waiting for him in front of the gate, wearing a white and red peasant dress with long white socks, black slippers with red ribbon on it, a pendant necklace, and a red cape with and hood that covered her head. A pretty little red riding hood costume that made Kim blush under his makeup.

"Whoa Kim, I love your costume, you actually like a real zombie," She said in a happy tone "Thank Kat, you are also beautiful...I mean your costume is beautiful" He rubbed the back of his neck smiling.

They both enter the park, Kim looks around, he has only been here one time with Richard and he already was able what changed for the event.

There were now many huts for the activity, like a fake fortune teller, a fake clinic with lots of fake blood and meat as flesh, and a hunted maze with a killer clown which Kim acted like a protector to Katherine despite being the most scared of the two and they ended at a food stand.

Kim looked around and noticed that like the extras that were here, some of the people that run those stands are students from François Dupont, he only saw some of them from Richard's 8th-grade class picture but some of those students in the current 8th grade seems kind, like the girl that runs the pastry stand, wearing a skeleton maid costume with her black hair with blue reflection tied in a bun or the two girls with one with blond hair wearing a bright pink fairy costume and the other taller with black hair and purple tips wearing a vampire costume.

When he looks at Katherine's face which is devoid of the usual calmness and happiness it is replaced with a glare of jealousy directed toward a girl around her age with glasses and black haired pigtail helping the girl at the pastry stand.

Kim recognized her, she was Socqueline Wang, a classmate of Richard, he doesn't know why Katherine gave her that look.
"Hey Katherine, are you okay ?" Kim asked and Katherine changed her face of jealousy for a face of happiness in a matter of seconds to respond "Oh yeah, I'm okay, why are you asking that"

Kim was confused "I don't know you looked quite frustrated" Katherine brushed it off and said "I was just tired, that's all" Kim didn't seem convinced but before he could answer anything, Katherine took him by the wrist and bring him near the fountain.

The atmosphere changed from a Halloween scary one to a more romantic one as Katherine started speaking "Kim" His voice was soft and sincere "When I arrived at this new middle school, I thought I would be alone again like in my old school. But then I met you and managed to make my life better, i managed to have a friend but..." Kim was flattered by her words but blushed even more when she gently put her arms around his neck "I think we could be more than friends".

With those words, Katherine closed her eyes and slowly approached her face to his and Kim felt his heart beating faster as he also closed his eyes and approached his face to her slowly. He put his hand around her waist and he was waiting for his very first kiss from his very first lover.

But it never happens.

Completly shocked and confused, Kim found himself in the fountain, wet from water, so much so that his makeup was melting from his face. He looked at Katherine who has now a mischievous expression visible on her face, he couldn't understand why did she push him into a fountain when they were about to kiss.
"K-Katherine...why"

At this moment, Kim heard a laugh that sent shivers down his spine, as he got out of the fountain, he saw Kenny get from behind a tree laughing hysterically and Samuel was getting down from the same tree but this time holding a camera.

"Ha Ha Ha, oh god, ah ah, oh my fucking god, ah ha ah, can't wait to see the reaction of everyone at school" He kept laughing while Samuel stopped filming "Nice job, Kat"
Kim was paralyzed by what just happened, he turned to Katherine heartbroken. "Why...WHY DID YOU DECIDED TO PLAY WITH MY FEELING"

Katherine smirk as she takes off her hood revealing a dyed red strand of hair on her fringe.
"I just wanted to have fun, do you realize how boring the school will be if there is no jester," She said in a meaner tone in contrast to the calm and happy one she used when talking to Kim.

His world was collapsing, his face getting wet this time with his tears, his heart beating getting higher while he hyperventilated, his stomach ache started again stronger than ever, so much that he had to hide being a tree to throw up. He could hear some people saying "Ewww", he could feel some person looking at him, he even heard Kenny saying to Samuel that he should have filmed this.

Feeling humiliated, Kim ran as fast as he could to the metro station, the metro was already here and he entered just in time before the doors closed. Once he sat down, he tried to call one of his dads but his phone was dead, drowned in the fountain. He growls out of frustration, tears rolling down his face. Maybe if he had listened to his father Lûan, none of this would have happened.

He arrived at the house, completely exhausted, sitting at the table in the kitchen, all alone, with a glass of water in one hand and a dozen of his pills in the other. He had enough, he first got rejected at the orphanage, he got bullied by his best friend and when he thought he would have a perfect love life, he discovered he was just used. He felt like his life was worthless.

Without hesitation, he swallowed his pills and washed them down with water. He then got up to put the glass in the dishwasher but he suddenly felt dizzy and his head was hurting him a lot, like it gonna explode. He didn't predict that the pills would take this fast and would be this strong. He lost his grip on the glass and it shattered on the floor, he fell on his knees and then forward. The only things he thinks of before closing his eyes are his parents, Richard and Céline.

" Mr. Lê, are you there" The voice of Géraldine could be heard from the outside the kitchen but it's getting closer. "I came back because I forgot my phone and I just wanted to see what was that sound" Géraldine slowly opened the kitchen door.

"Is anyone her...AAAAAAAAHHHHH"

His surroundings were dark, all black, he couldn't see anything, not even his own body, all he did was float in an eternal void with the sound of nothing. That was it... he was dead... on his kitchen floor... and this is supposed to be the afterlife, not like he expected.

Everything was silent until Kim heard the faint sound of beeps going slowly in a rhythm. Slowly the sound became clearer to him that it was the sound of a heart monitor and it wasn't long enough until he slowly opened his eyes, almost blinded by the bring light of the white hospital room he was in.

The first thing he saw was the glasses on the night table that he recognized as his father Lûan's glasses, the second thing he saw was Lûan himself his face buried in his hands crying. He was still really weak but he managed to whisper "D...Dad". Just this word managed to stop Lûan from crying as he looked at Kim with relief and hugged him "Oh thank god, you're alive, i couldn't bear the thought of losing you" Kim didn't say a word as he returned the hug to Lûan.

"What happened, why did you do something like that "Lûan's voice filled with worry that sounded more like anger. At this moment, Kim couldn't hide it anymore, he started to tell everything as well as sobbing, he told him about the bullying and the humiliation he was getting from the beginning of middle school, Lûan was heartbroken listening to the horrible things his son has been going through.

"I'm so sorry Dad" Kim says still sobbing before Lûan wipes his tears "No Kim, I'm the one that should be sorry, I should have noticed that something was wrong from the beginning."

Kim has been in the hospital for 2 weeks now with 1 and a half in the coma and the other half in rehabilitation. When he returned home, he was welcomed by a worried Arthur who was also relieved, that he wasn't the only peoples waiting for him, but also Arthur's twin sister Mari who had the same skin color and hair color as Arthur but her hair is tied in a bun and who is also Richard mother, speaking of Richard, he was also worried.

"Kim, I heard what happened to you and I was so angry that the school did nothing about the bullying, so I asked Aunt Mari to sue those who bullied, you know she is a judge, right" Arthur said before leaving the parole to Mari.

"I just need to know who did this to you," She said in a calm tone, Kim respond "What will happen to the bully" Mari responded "Well, since the victim in this situation almost took his life, the culprit will have to face 5 years of imprisonment and have to pay a 7500 € fine," she said "So what is the name of your bully"

"Samuel Gara" Kim responded "Are you sure he is the only one" Mari asked "Yeah, sure," He said trying to convince her that Samuel was the only one, he didn't know why but he wasn't able to say that Kenny was also part of it or that Katherine was mostly the one that pushed him to the brink, he didn't why but he just wasn't able.

After their conversation, Aunt Mari was in the living room along with Arthur and Lûan talking seriously as Kim was sitting on the couch lost in his thoughts until Richard started to talk to him.

"Hey" he started with a serious yet calming voice "Don't think no one in the family won't listen to you or understand you. You are a great man and don't ever let anyone else tell you the opposite" Kim's eyes started to get wet and he hugged Richard the same way Lûan hugged him.

His fathers decided that it would be better for him to change school and get a fresh start at François Dupont so Richard would always be here to protect him if anything happened. All he needed to do was to go to Vauban for one final day, so he could sign the paper and then he would stay home for mental reasons until he got back into his new school.

It was mid-November and Kim was on his last day of school, he had just finished signing the paper and was about to leave when he felt someone grabbing the hood of his hoodie before throwing him against the lockers. He opened his eyes to see Kenny with anger in his eyes.

"YOU SON OF A BITCH" He grabbed Kim's hoodie collar and pining him against said lockers "WHY CAN'T YOU KEEP YOUR FUCKING MOUTH SHUT" Kim tried to defend himself "I just couldn't handle this, I didn't even denounce you..." But in vain "I DON'T GIVE A SHIT. YOU JUST SENT THE COOLEST GUY I EVER MET IN JAIL, ALL BECAUSE OF YOUR GOD DAMN CRYBABY ASS"

Without any warning, Kim punched Kenny right in the jaw, knocking one of his upper teeth off. The last thing he saw was Kenny put a hand on his mouth as this one was bleeding before he rushed out of the school. Since that day, something lit up inside of him, he just realized that he defended himself, so he decided to change his image before entering François Dupont.

He wanted to reconnect with his passion for sport, he would wake up early, at the same hour his dad Arthur would wake up and together they would go jogging near the Seine, he would eat a little more than usual, and he often does exercise in his room and he stops missing swimming class, he even decided to participate at the competition.

By Christmas, he was completely changed, he was now more muscular, and he got new clothes in a more sporty style, his favorite being a yellow and red short-sleeved hoodie with a logo his dad designed.

He was also both happy and surprised to know that as a part of his therapy and healing process, he has gotten as a gift, a little therapy puppy, a labrador retriever to be exact. He named it Jax.

And then New Year's Eve arrived, and many members of the family gathered at Richard's house for the event. Usually, the event is spent at Kim's house but Lûan didn't want the kids to play in the cabinet and cause trouble with the material like last year.

Kim was in the bathroom looking at the mirror with confidence, happy with how far he had come. But something still made him insecure, and that something was his hair. At first, he thought that long hair didn't fit his facial shape so he took a pair of scissors and started cutting it short, then he thought that black hair was boring so he kind of stole the hair dye of his 18 years old Vietnamese cousin Diễm and dyed his hair golden blonde but stained the towel with it. Finally, he thought that everyone at François Dupont would mock him for having curly hair, comparing him to a sheep or other animal.

So he stole from his 18 years old Basque cousin Lidia, her straightening iron, but since had no experience with hair, he burned his ear trying to straighten a lock of hair. Suddenly, two 18-year-old girls entered the messy bathroom, one Basque girl with brown skin and wavy hair, wearing a navy blue dress, and a Vietnamese girl with dyed golden hair tied in a braid and wearing a yellow dress. The cousins Kim stoled the straightening iron and hair dye, Lidia and Diễm

"So it was you who stole my straightening iron," Lidia said "Did you use all of my hair dye" Said Diễm. "Listen, girls, I never wanted to do that, but I started to feel insecure about my hair so I tried to fix it," He said before he was interrupted by Lidia.

"Fix it? Why? Your hair looked good naturally" Kim responded with a short "Let's just say that I wanted to try something new". Then the girls forces him to sit on the edge of the bathtub as Lidia takes the straightening iron and Diễm the hair clipper as well as the hair gel.

"It's fine to change style sometimes, but you have to do it for yourself if it helps you," Diễm said as she shaved some part of Kim's head without shaving all of it.

After 6 whole minutes, Kim, Diễm, and Lidia came out of the bathroom and Kim's hair was now styled in a quiff along with a "Z" written on both sides of his head. Everyone in the room was surprised to see the sudden change of hairstyle within Kim including his parents. But Kim didn't care, cause he felt much more confident with this relooking.

It was almost midnight and Kim was in Richard's room which looked more like a ballet studio than a bedroom as he listened to Richard explaining to him who would be in his new classroom. There will be the 3 girls he saw during the Halloween event, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, Rose Lavillant, and Juleka Couffaine, but also the mayor's daughter Chloé Bourgeois which Richard told Kim to be aware of, and he also told him about the teacher Miss Bustier who Richard classified as the best literature teacher to ever exist.

Kim listened to his story and he had to admit that he was kind of interested in listening to something about school. Then midnight struck and everyone was happy and festive. It was a new year that started both for them and for Kim.

He can't wait to go to François Dupont.

Chapter Text

"Ready ?" Richard asked Kim while they were in front of the stairs leading to François Dupont. Kim first looked at Richard who had styled his hair in a grown-out layers hairstyle, wearing a dark blue turtleneck shirt, a blue jean, black socks, and wearing his white ballet shoes for some reason. Then he look at himself, better build, dressed with his new hoodie, a black jogging, and red and white sports shoes. He lifted his head, took a deep breath, and responded.

"Ready"

They both enter the yard of François Dupont and immediately, Kim feels uncomfortable. Seeing all those students he didn't know was making him sick. Richard put his hand on his shoulder before smiling at him. Then the bell rang and the two went to their respective classroom when Kim entered in classroom, he first noticed that there weren't a lot of students, like only 8, there were Marinette, Juleka, and Rose, but he also noticed the mayor's daughter, Chloé having her nails being done by a girl with a short square red hair and glasses.

Then, the teacher Miss Bustier entered the room "Sit down everyone, today we are having a new student" As she said that, all the students sat at their seats execpted for Kim who just stood up in front of the class. "You can present yourself, now," She said smiling at him

Kim was stressed but he remembered his New Year resolution and said "Hi, my name is Kim. Kim Lê Chiến Ature, I love sport and I'm sure we can be friends" He said before Miss Bustier thanked him before she told him to sit next to a boy with glasses and an afro named Max Kanté which he did.

During this class, Kim couldn't help but want to talk to Max despite him being busy taking notes. "Hey," He said Max simply looked at him before returning to his note. "How are you doing" Kim continued which Max responded irritated "I'm fine but we aren't supposed to talk in class" But this did not seem to stop Kim, after all, it was his first day at school and he wanted to make a friend on the first day.

During the rest of the day, Kim wasn't ready to give up on befriending him. He first thought about making him laugh with some kind of imitation using Max's glasses, but spoiler alert, it didn't make him laugh, he then tried to get him to play basketball with him during recess but accidentally threw the ball at his face, and he tried to talk to him about his passion during lunch only for Max change table annoyed. As a result, Max seems to avoid Kim for the rest of the afternoon.

Kim wasn't happy on his first day, thinking he had ruined his chance to befriend anyone. As that wasn't enough, he had to wait for Richard to finish his theater club activity before heading back home, so he was waiting on the stairs sighing before he heard someone talking to him and Kim immediately recognized the voice.

"Hey, Kim," Max said looking at him "Oh hey, Max, how are you doing ?" Kim responds almost not looking at him. "I'm still fine, I just noticed that you looked sad. Is this because I ignored you all the day?" Max asked and Kim said "I'm sorry if I annoyed you. I was just trying to befriend, you know"

"I get it but why did you insist so much on me especially ?"
Kim was thinking of what to answer. He thinks and thinks again. "Well, you just remind me of an old friend of mine. He was just like you, smart and interesting. It is really difficult for me to make friends"

Max decided to sit on the stairs next to Kim "I have difficulty making friends. To be honest, nobody values me for my intelligence, I would often be mocked for it."

Kim was feeling bad for him. They didn't have much difference, both were bullied and both had difficulty making friends. So they decided to continue their discussion before Kim heard Richard telling him that it was time to go home. And Kim finished his day with a new best friend.

Let's review, Kim still has difficulty in school but there were more positive things that happened to him, like winning the swimming competition and befriending a girl named Ondine at the pool and he wasn't bullied anymore. Everything was going for the best...

Until two weeks before summer.

When he opened his locker, he found a red box along with a note saying "For Marinette Dupain-Cheng", Kim was confused because if it was really for Marinette then why it is in his locker? But he didn't think much about it. When Marinette decided to invite him to the pool, he thought it was an opportunity to give her the gift so they would be friends.

On his way to the pool, Kim was with Richard as this one was telling him that he would be outside doing some ballet exercises if needed help, leaving Kim to go inside the pool and wait for Marinette. She arrived a few minutes after and they both had a pretty good time together which quickly ended with them sitting next to each other on the diving platform, both happy.

"You know, Kim, I think you're really funny... and nice... and sweet, too. And I... I think I'd like us to be more than friends" Marinette said which left Kim kind of confused about what she was talking about before he understood what she meant. Kim didn't know how to respond, he wasn't ready to be in a relationship already, not wanting to risk having his heart broken again, but at the same time, he didn't want to break Marinette's heart. He took a deep breath and said "You... do ?"

He gets on his knees and presents her with the box he found in his locker, he would just give her the gift and simply tell her that he isn't ready for that but that is not because he hates her and that he will be fine if they're just friends. Marinette took the box, saying I love you to Kim, and opened the box... Only for spiders to crawl out of the box which scared Marinette enough to make her fall from the platform.

Kim was shocked by what just happened, he just realized now that he had been tricked into playing a cruel prank on Marinette, otherwise, he would have never done that, he had been terrified of spiders since the age of 5.
Despite being panicked, he ran to the changing room Marinette was in and knocked several times.

"Marinette, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean it, I never wanted to..." His voice was filled with worries but before he could finish his sentence, Socqueline pushed him away looking angry "You! Go away! You should be ashamed of yourself!".

Kim wanted to protest and explain to her what happened, but he didn't. Instead, he locked himself inside a changing room, slid down the door, and started crying, realizing he had broken the heart of a kind girl.

After 15 long minutes, Kim left the swimming pool, his eyes red and puffy despite having dried his tears, Richard was waiting for him looking serious, more serious than Kim had ever seen him.
"Do I need to explain?" He said Kim was so paralyzed by shame that he didn't respond or look directly into his eyes "After what Socqueline told me, you pulled a cruel prank on Marinette when she confessed her love to you, tell me this isn't true"

Kim's eyes started to get wet again and as Richard put his hand on his shoulder to calm him, Kim moved away from him, "Kim, calm down, just breathe and explain" He said clearly worried but Kim just ran from him and yelled "YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND, I...I DIDN'T WANT TO DO THAT TO HER, I SERIOUSLY DID..."

"KIM, WATCH OUT"

Everything happened in the blink of an eye, and what he saw was a horrific scene. He was lying on the road, a car nearby skipped, and the worst was when he saw Richard lying on the ground where the squibbed car had passed, he was groaning in pain and Kim was almost fainting at the view of Richard's left forelegs bent in a way that should be possible, the tibia was broken and was able to come its way out of the leg and tearing his jeans, there was blood everywhere.

"RICHARD" Kim screamed as he ran to his cousin who was doing his best to lift the top of his own body with his arms despite the pain. "T...Thank g...god, you...you are...f-fi-fine," Richard said relived which did not relieve Kim at all "But... your leg, it... it bleeding" Kim started to feel very sick and he threw up on the road before fainting.
"KIM!"

A week passed since the accident, Richard was fine but he got a foreleg amputee and he had to stay at the hospital for a long time. Kim was sitting on a bench in the schoolyard, still feeling guilty about what happened to his cousin and disturbed by the gory images that kept him awake each night.

"Hey you" Kim lifted his head to see Chloé Bourgeois with a smug expression on her face. He said annoyed "What do you want Chloé ?" she answered, " I want you to move away, you are ruining the atmosphere when you look miserable". Kim glared at her "Well, at least you shouldn't make me feel worse", Chloé sighed and said, "Okay, what's the deal so you can stop being pathetic".

Kim started to cry and told her everything from his problems at the orphanage to the accident that cost his cousin's leg. Chloé looks sad and guilty when listening to what happened to him but immediately turns back to her usual self. "Well, what's so difficult about standing for yourself? Accident or not, Richie won't always be with you. So stop whining and make yourself respected. In this world, you are either, a winner or a loser" She left as she finished her sentence.

Kim was processing the information he just got. Maybe Chloé was right, he should stand out for himself. Most of the time, the nicest people on earth, just don't survive. He shouldn't have any pity for anyone if he wants to live on.

"If no one is nice to me... then I won't be nice to them"

"That was such a stupid way to think" That was what Kim said when he looked at the Seine, from the Pont des Art. Lots of things have happened in the last 8 months. Paris has now two superheroes and a supervillain who turns civilians into supervillains, thanks to Akumatization. And today, the day of his 9th grade Valentine's Day, Kim was one of those.

To resume what happened, it was the same incident that happened to Marinette last time. He tried to confess to Chloé of all the people, then he got into a humiliating situation, and instead of helping him, she took a picture of him and sent it to the class. It was only at this precise moment of heartbreak that he got akumatized into a villain that called himself "Dark Cupid" and ruined Valentin's day of lots of Parisian.

After he got de-akumatized, he came back to the Pont des Art to self-reflect on everything he had done since the beginning of his school years. First, he was the one that caused the very first Akumatization of his classmate Ivan, mocking his fear to admit his feelings to Mylene, now he understands why he was so insecure about it. Thinking about it, he caused two akumatization, the second being Alya's father who is a zoo keeper and he almost died that day, he had never run so much of his life. He doesn't know if he still hates him right now, cause he has never gone back to the zoo since that day.

Speaking of hating, he had to admit that the annoyance of his classmate was kind of justified, he was pretty much annoying them with his dare and bet. He who wanted to only make friends since he entered François Dupont, kept making enemies. He tried to think why he did what he did, and acted as he acted, was it because he was his self estimate so low that he belittled anyone to make himself feel better, was it because he was so scared of being bullied again that he tried to make himself look strong and confident to be respected or was it because he had so much anger in him from the 2 and a half years of bullying that he lashes out on others, if this one is true then he is just continuing a never-ending cycle.

At the worst and most stupid things he did, was falling in love with Chloé Bourgeois despite Richard's warning during the last new year. To be honest, her words about standing out for himself did make him see her as a figure of respect, after all, she feared no one, everyone feared her. She was never bullied... but she was also hated.

Kim cringed at the many moments he should have realized she was a terrible person. God, he was so down bad that he defended her for her disrespect and bullying attitude. He only realized now, that Chloé was the one who tricked him into pulling the prank on Marinette, she may have also filmed everything that happened, but at least it wasn't posted on send to anyone. She just finished with him what she started with Marinette.

He was so afraid. Afraid of returning to school and facing humiliation again. No one will ever speak to him, and it will all restart. Bullying, loneliness, just everything

"The seine seems so peaceful," Kim thought "I wonder what would happen if I dive and ..."

Kim snapped back into reality panicking at what he just thought about. No, he couldn't make the same mistake he did in 8th grade, why was he even thinking about it? He ran as fast as he could away from the Pont des Art and started to walk his way back home. Valentine's Day officially became Kim's most hated holiday after Halloween.

When he arrived home, Lûan and Arthur ran to him and hugged him. "Oh thank god, you're safe," Lûan said with lots of worry in his voice. Arthur then continued, "We just learned what happened to you today, and we were so afraid that you snap and..." Arthur had difficulty finishing his sentence because of emotions. Kim knows what he is trying to say, so he knows that he should never bring up the suicidal ideation he just got earlier.

After this emotional moment with his dads, Kim heads up to his room to find Jax lying on his bed and barking. Kim immediately lay on his bed and let Jax nuzzle him which made Kim feel a lot better. His phone buzzed and he turned in to see a message from Richard. He opens the messaging app and reads the text.

"Hey Kim
Learned what happened today and I wanted to say even if I say it a lot, that you shouldn't listen to the kind of people like Chloé, you are far better than her. I hope you recovered from what happened. Stay strong cousin "

This simple text makes Kim smile. Richard always knew how to cheer him up when something was bothering him. He was always so optimistic, mature, and kind, with a touch of shyness. He was happy to have him in his life, he still doesn't forgive himself for what happened to him but he was at least happy to know that Richard got a prosthetic made for ballet and is still at the same level as before.

Kim decided that he should do something similar to his classmates. He opened the class group chat and started to write.

"Hey guys
I know I wasn't always a nice guy, I was so annoying with my bet and my attitude that I didn't realize that I was hurting people in the process. I just want to say that I'm sorry, and I promise that I will be nicer in the future. Again, I'm sorry for being an idiot"

Then he sent it and lay his head on the pillow while looking mindlessly at the ceiling, feeling relieved like a weight of guilt was lifted.

"I promise, I will be nicer"

He was so impatient to be on summer holiday, it was just 3 weeks away and Kim was on his way to the pool for his date with Ondine. It only took Ondine's akumatization to realize that she loved him and that he loved her back, he knew he was ready to be in a relationship and that she was the right girl for him. He had never been so happy in his life. It seems like since the day he apologized, everything was going for the better, he managed to befriend most of the boys in his class, he found his soulmate, and even was given a miraculous for a short time. All of that is thanks to something called karma.

As he entered the pool, he was welcomed by most of the staff, he had to admit that he was pretty much a star there, especially after his many victories at the competitions which were featured in the local news. He got into the first changing room he saw and changed himself into his swimsuit and left while looking at the necklace which is the half-right part of a red heart with written on it, half of a "+" and a big "O" in white. It was a gift from Ondine for his 16th birthday last week, he would wear one of the halves while Ondine would wear the other half.

When he arrived near the pool, he saw that Ondine was already there swimming. She was wearing the other half of the necklace around her neck, that one had the other half of the "+" and A big "K" in white.
"Hey Ondine, check this out," Kim said before he jumped in the pool, splashing her which made her laugh. They continued to splash each other before they heard a phone ringing, Ondine recognized her phone "Excuse me one second" she said before she came out of the pool and answered it.

"Hello...Okay, okay, I will finish my part on the project...well you are the smartest guy in the group and... Oh, don't start with that... Hey, that's not my fault if the school lost the fair... Okay...Bye Kenny"

Kim wasn't able to hear who was the other person Ondine was speaking to, but when he heard the name, he started to shiver. No, it can't be, it can't be him.
"Hey, Ondine, who...who it was," He asked trying not to sound concerned.

"That was just a classmate whom I'm doing a final physics project with," She said before she jumped in the pool. "Well he sounded quite angry" Kim responded and Ondine said "He is pretty much frustrated that our school lost the science fair. That was the first time our school lost in 4 years"

Kim didn't want to conclude too soon, but he knew that the only school that had won the science fair in the last years was Vauban. He started to get lost in his thoughts, he couldn't believe her, she couldn't be a student of the same middle school where he had suffered. What if she was like Katherine or Chloé? What if she betrayed him and broke his heart? What if...what if.

"Kim, are you okay ?" Ondine interrupted his thoughts he knew he had been terrified for a few seconds but decided to brush his paranoïa away and said "Oh yeah I'm fine". But Ondine wasn't convinced "Are you sure, you were shaking"

" I said, I'm fine" The tone he used managed to scare Ondine a bit "K...Kim". "Come on, let's see who can swim faster," Kim said in a happier tone ignoring Ondine's worry as he started swimming. He tried to ignore the fear that was still tormenting his mind but still felt uncomfortable about it.

After what felt like 10 minutes, Kim and Ondine didn't expect to see all the girls in his class expected Marinette, Chloé, or Sabrina all here for a reason they didn't know. "Hey girls, what you all doing here ?" Kim asked which Rose responded happily "You know what, Marinette and Adrien are having their first date, right here" Mylene continued "So we came here to make sure everything is going well"

"Speaking of the two love birds," Alya says while pointing the platform upstairs to see Adrien and Marinette going into the separate changing room. All the girls except Ondine go to hide in the same changing room to see whatever happens between the two.

After 10 other minutes, both Marinette and Adrien arrived near the pool but Adrien was pretty much happy and calm and Marinette was not so far behind.
Kim was happy to see her finally believing in love again, so he waved to her "Over here! Marinette !" But as he does that, Marinette looks more panicked than anything and when Adrien gives her a hand, she starts to be even more panicked and runs away in fear.

"Marinette! What's wrong?" Adrien asked worried, "Leave me alone! I need to be by myself and... stop pretending to be so nice to me!!" Marinette responds before running upstairs. Kim knew exactly what was disturbing her and it was making him even more uncomfortable than before which also came with guilt. All the girls came out of the changing room and Alya was the first one to run to see what was happening to Marinette while the rest went to ask Adrien what happened, Ondine even came out of the pool to see what happened.

As for Kim, he just felt ashamed of himself, all he wanted to do was to dive deep enough for nobody to find him. But he knows that he shouldn't keep a secret this serious to himself. So he came out of the water and walked to the group while rubbing his arm.
"I might have an idea of what is tormenting her" They all looked at him confused "Let me explain. It was last year when Marinette and I were in eighth grade..."

When he finishes his side of the story, the confusion in their eyes changes into rage and anger. "You did THAT to Marinette ?!" Ondine was enraged it was the first time Kim had seen her like that.

"Listen, I never wanted to do that to her. I just wanted to befriend her, like how should I have known that there were spiders in the box ?!" He said defensively which only made the situation worse as he was able to see Adrien clenching his fist in rage. "You could have used your brain, idiot" Adrien responded to his question annoyed, "Why didn't it come to your mind that finding something that doesn't belong to you was somehow suspicious"

Juleka was mumbling something that Kim didn't understand and to be fair, he didn't want to know. "Guys, I'm so sorry," Kim said but all that Adrien could respond was "That to Marinette that you should apologized to, not us". Kim didn't know what to respond next as his whole body started shaking, which didn't go unnoticed by Ondine who looked now more worried than angry. "Kim, you are not okay. Please tell me what's wrong" Ondine approached him but when she put her hands on Kim's shoulders, he immediately pushed her away almost making her fall.

"Hey, what the hell is wrong with you" Adrien yelled angrier which also made Kim angry as his eyelid was twitching and he was laughing but not out of fun. "What's wrong with me...WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME" He yelled "THE ANSWER IS EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING IS WRONG WITH ME, I'M TRYING TO BE NICE AND THE ONLY THING I GET BACK, IS FUCKING HATE"

With those words, Kim ran to a changing room as tears were forming in his eyes. He violently closed the door by throwing his body against it and after he locked it, he started to hyperventilate and continued shaking. He shook so much he could no longer feel his legs and fell on his knees with his back resting against the door, both his stomach and chest were hurting and the thought he had in mind, was the image of what happened last year that kept replaying, as well as the one of the previous years.

The only sound he could hear was one of his fast heartbeats and the short breath he was taking. His vision was becoming blurry due to the tears, he didn't even notice the apparition of a portal which came out a megakuma that directly entered his necklace, akumatizing him.

"Darkness Fear" The voice of Monarch was speaking which snapped Kim back into reality "I am Monarch. Don't you have enough that nobody understands how you feel and how you act? To always feel rejected by others just for being yourself." Kim tried his best to reject the akumatization "Don't you have enough of being nice and no one returns it to you" After the one sentence, Kim stopped trying and his expression turned from fear to anger "Then I will give you the power to make everyone around you understand what you are feeling when you are remembering your worst memory. To complete your objective, I will give you the power of jubilation along with the one of derision. But remember that you will have to give me the miraculous of Ladybug and Cat noir"

As Monarch finished speaking, Kim didn't make a sound as he got up, wiped the tears away from his right eye, and stepped a few meters away from the door. "At least someone that understands what I'm feeling right now" That was what he said before succumbing to the akumatization, closing his eyes and letting a cry of frustration.

Once the akumatization is done, Kim is filled with both rage and a need to take revenge on those who hurt him. He opened his right eye to reveal a red one replacing his usual grey eye and the pupil was a black broken heart.

Kim had become Darkness Fear.

Chapter Text

"Kim, is everything okay, we heard you screaming," Rose said worried from outside the changing room, she was with Juleka. It wasn't long until a lifeguard came to them to see what had happened.

"Girls, what is happening inside" He asked worried "It's our friend. We argued and he ran inside, I think he was crying". The lifeguard looked at the door before saying "Hey son, are you okay." But no response, the lifeguard kept knocking on the door but there was still no sound.

"I don't want to do that, but I must force the door. Who knows, maybe he got unwell and collapsed" The lifeguard said to the two girls before he did his best to open the door.

After a few attempts, the lock broke down and he opened the door... only for him, Rose, and Juleka to be hit by arrows with the head being a black metal lys picket fence and the fletching dark red. When those hit them, they turn into black dust.
"What the..." The lifeguard said before his body started shaking out of fear and his mind his flooded with a traumatic memory of his, the same goes for Rose and Juleka.

All the 3 stepped back away from the door which freed the way for a tall and muscular figure, wearing black Frye boots with red straps around the ankles, black pants, and a long sleeves red shirt that covered his neck with a black heart design on it with black liquid coming from it, a black trench coat with the end of it having a blending red, he is wearing long red gloves, as for his face, it stayed normal, but his right eyes had changed and the other was hidden behind a long bang of wavy black hair with the tips red, his hair was longer, black, curly and tied in a bun, he also wears a red facial mask. He had a red and black bow similar to the one of Dark Cupid and a black and red arrow bag. As he walks to the diving board in front of him, he puts on the red hood of the coat and when he arrives on top of this board, he deploys his red and black angel wings before he flies over the pool.

"So..." He said with no emotions in his voice "Do you all still think there is something wrong with me ?". All of the people that were here were scared by this akumatized angel. "Kim ??" His classmates and Ondide said at the same time and the akumatized responded "Kim ? Who is Kim ? The Kim you know is dead. I'm Darkness Fear ! And now you will understand how it feels like to be terrified !!!"

Darkness Fear started to shoot arrows at anyone in his field of view, including his classmates, the only people who managed to avoid being hit were Adrien, Marinette, and Ondine. He opened the window of the glass roof and left the pool, having in his mind to complete one of his many objects... Getting revenge on the one that caused harm to him. The first person on his list is Chloé Bourgeois.

So he flew his way to the Grand Palace, hitting several passers-by with his arrows. When he arrived, he landed on the balcony of her room, he walked to the glass door and opened it without making any sound, he then walked toward the small living room where he saw Chloé sitting on the couch as Sabrina was standing next to her, both were looking at the TV that was showcasing the news.

"This is Nadia Chamak, today a new akuma attack happened in Paris. The villain seems to have the power to make people remember their worst trauma. Ladybug and Cat Noir are on their way to stop him. But be aware if you come across them, protect yourself" Right after she finished speaking, Chloé changed the channel and ordered Sabrina to bring her juice.

After what felt like a few minutes, Chloé started to be impatient and turned to see what was taking her so long "Hey Sabrina, that juice is for today or tomorrow" Only to be met by a panicking Sabrina on the floor and in front of her, the akumatized villain Darkness Fear.

"Miss me ?" Darkness Fear said brandishing his bow charged with an arrow at her. Chloé couldn't even say how much she was at the scene that was happening in front of her, she was quite disturbed by what Sabrina was saying under her breath, something about someone called Cleo or something like that.

"Who the hell are you ?! Who let you in?! It's private property" She asked pretending to not be too scared by Darkness Fear which he only responded with "Oh, so you don't remember the boy you tricked, manipulated, and broke the heart? Maybe this will refresh your memory !" He then shot the arrow but Chloé was fast enough to dodge and run to leave her room.

Darkness Fear shot many arrows at her until she passed her room's door, he was about to leave when he heard what Sabrina was saying "Cleo, I'm sorry, please, I don't want to end our friendship like that". He didn't know why he was still standing there watching her suffering from something he was responsible but he still slightly felt bad for her. But he quickly dismissed it he flew from to balcony to the ground where he saw Chloé leaving through the main door, he immediately hit her after a few moments, and he felt a light satisfaction without showing it on his face.

He then flew to the Jardin des Tuileries, and from the sky, he was able to see a group of teenagers that were all wearing a blue and white cheerleading uniform with red bits and "FRANCE" written in white on the chest, as were practicing a difficult routine. His gaze was focused on one specific person. Katherine Kowalski looked the same as last year, her hair was just tied in a ponytail with a dark blue bow.

"Okay, 3, 2, 1, GO," Katherine said as she started to run toward the teens making the base and jump to make a forward somersault and land on their hands as they lifted. "That's better... If for you better is being completely slumped while standing" She said with annoyance in her voice as she looked down at the base. "The selection happens in 2 weeks and we are still at the level of toddlers, do you all have a broom in the ass or what ?!" as she finished speaking, the sky started to get dark and the wind started to rise which surprise all those teenagers who thought that this day will be sunny and it wasn't until they look behind them that they saw Darkness Fear flying behind them.

"Surprise Katherine. I've never thought that I would see you again after what you did to me." Darkness Fear said before he shot the base which made them lose their grip on Katherine and make Katherine fall on the fountain behind her. She first looked annoyed before starting to be afraid as Darkness Fear landed on the ground and started to walk to her he then took one of his arrows and was ready to shoot. "Not so happy to be in my shoes. Am I right ?" He said before he shot the arrow at her before it got blocked by Ladybug and Cat Noir.

"Can't you pick on someone your size ???" Cat Noir said with immense anger "DON'T YOU HAVE SHAME AT ALL ?!?!" He attempted to hit Darkness Fear with his staff. "Cat Noir, calm down. We just need to destroy the akumatized object. You're gonna hurt him!" Ladybug said as she was helping Katherine run away which Cat Noir responded with "And he'd deserve it!!!!" as he continued to violently beat Darkness Fear with his staff before tackling him on the ground.

"MAYBE YOU WOULDN'T GET SO MUCH HATE IF YOU STOPPED ACTING LIKE AN ASSHOLE," Cat Noir said before he raised his hand to the sky " EVEN NOT AKUMATIZED, YOU MANAGE TO MAKE SOMEONE REMEMBERS HER WORST MEMORY. WE'LL SEE IF YOU'RE STILL TRAUMATIZED PEOPLE ONCE I KILL YOU WITH MY...CATACLYSM" As Cat Noir activated his power and was about to touch him, Ladybug wrapped her yo-yo around his wrist to stop him "No!! What's happening to you? Don't you see that he isn't emotionally well !"

As both of them are distracted, Darkness Fear takes the opportunity to touch Cat Noir with one of the arrows before pushing him off himself and flying off the ground. Cat Noir was shaking out of fear and was walking backward before he accidentally touched the fountain with his cataclysm destroying it and almost flooding the park.

"Not the first time I almost die. I thought superheroes are supposed to help peoples in distress not kill them" Darkness Fear said angrily before he flew away from the park as Monarch started to communicate with him.
"What are you doing? You could have easily taken Cat Noir's miraculous !" Monarch frustrated before Darkness Fear responds "Be patient. I still have some duty to finish before". Darkness Fear then lands on the rooftop of the Trocadéro as he takes the necklace that was hidden under his shirt. It started to glow red as Darkness Fear's anger intensified and all of a sudden, the dark grey clouds that were covering the sky changed into a dark red color as the wind became stronger.

He didn't even bother to hide the necklace back that he was able to see down there, the boy that first hurt him. Kenny, his ex-best friend. He had kept his middle school appearance, the only differences were the Australian flag on the vamp on his shoes, a red devil with the name "BELGIUM" in the color of the said country as pine on the lapel, he was wearing a dark grey NASA t-shirt and one of his upper premolar on the right side of his mouth was missing. He was composing a number on his ring as Darkness Fear recognized Ondine's numbers and Kenny only found himself on her voicemail which frustrated him.

"Hey bitch, forgot about this traction-reaction nonsense, I found way better. You better bring your ass to the Trocadéro, we may have discovered a new weather phenomenon" He ended the call with a smirk before something skimmed his cheek and when he check what was, he saw on the ground an arrow planted in the ground. It gave him a shiver down his spine as he touched his cheek to realize that it gave him a bleeding cut. He turned as he was shaking to see the Akuma that the alert gave, standing on the roof of the monument.

"Hello, Kenny. Even though we used to be friends, I won't spare you from my furry, but I'll make sure to make it special for you" Darkness Fear said before he charged his bow which gave Kenny the time to run away screaming, he run until he got cornered in an alley. Afraid, he tried to climb the wall but it only got worst as his fingers started bleeding and it only made it worst that the effect of the arrow only took it now, making his environnement a mix between reality and his memory of the moment he almost fall from a cliff in skateboard when he was 7.

Darkness Fear arrived right at this moment as Kenny lose his grip and fall on the ground backing and hitting his back on his wall. "Please don't kill me" Kenny said as tears falled from his eyes and it wasn't long until he reconized his old friend. "Kim, is that you ?"

"It WAS me" Darkness Fear respond "But this time, I won't be Mr.Niceboy to you" He said had he is about to shoot Kenny with an arrow with the head looking way more metalic than the others. "Dude, you're going too far!!!" Kenny screamed which make Darkness Fear even more enraged "I'm going too far. Wasn't you leaving me for Samuel is going too far, wasn't you bullying going too far, WASN'T HUMILIATED ME AND PUSHING ME TOO THE BRICK GOING TOO FAR" The top left side of his mask started to get wet "LOOK ONE LAST TIME AT WHAT YOU TURN ME INTO" He shoot but a yo-yo hit the arrow before it hit Kenny.

They both look up to see Ladybug that immediately jumped from the rooftop, she blocked his attack before she said "Kim, I understand what you're feeling but trust me lashing your anger like that is never the answer" trying to calm him but its no used.
"You don't know that" Darkness Fear said as Ladybug run away from him as he continued shooting but kept missing her.

He then lost her and only to find himself on a rooftop and on one of the chimney wall, was full post-it of many color and most of them were red with black spots, written on it were kind words that were said to him back in his first year of middle school at François Dupont, and picture that remind him of happy moment. All of them signed by different peoples

"Do you remembers how you used to be so happy" The voice sounded familiar to him he turn to see Ondine standing there looking more relived than scared by his presence, even if he is point his charged bow. "Don't move, and don't pretend to care about me, I know what you're planning to do to me, you and Kenny" He said sound slightly more panicked then angry which Ondine respond with "Kenny, I was just pared with him by teacher randomely. This guy is so annoying and rude and he always think he is better than everyone else" She said has was walking to him and Darkness Fear stepped back as he started shaking.

"Please, don't lie to me" He said as his voice was also shaking and the left side of his mask started to be even more wet from what Ondine assumed to be tears and she responded "Do I ever lied to you ?" With this simple question, Darkness Fear throw his bow against a chimney near by, breaking it and he buried is face in his hands while crying as Ondine walked to him. She took off his hoodie, bring his face to look at her, took off his mask and put his fringe away from his face, revealing that his left eye was still his usual grey eye that was from which tears flowed while the right one didn't have any.

"I know that the boy behind this mask is kind and brave" Ondine said but it was interrupted by Monarch that tried to contact him "Don't listen to her, she is trying to manipulated you" and Darkness Fear respond "The only person that is trying to manipulated me right now is you" he then break the contact with Monarch which de-akumatized him back to Kim. Ladybug arrived and asked him to break his necklace, at first he was hesitant to do so but he remembers that she will fix everything and break the chain which help the akuma get out. And Ladybug immediately purified it before throwing the post-it in the air which fix all the damage he had caused, stoped the wind and cleared the sky.

Back at the pool, Kim was sitting on the poolside next to Ondine and surrounded by his classmates as he just finished telling everything that happened to him ever since his first day of middle school. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry... for everything" He sobbed as Ondine hugged him which all the other girls did and Adrien was hesitant as he said "I'm sorry for being angry at you, I seriously didn't know".

"Its fine, its me that should apologized to Marinette after what I did to her" Kim responded "Don't worry about that, its already forgotten, plus I know it was just an accident." Marinette responded.

After few minutes, Kim left the pool and looked at the many messages and missed call his father Lûan sent him on his ring. "Guess I won't be able to leave home without a bodyguard" He though, before he fell a hand in his shoulder, he turn to see Ondine who smiled at her.

"Oh, hey Ondine" He said to his girlfriend before she said "I wanted to make sure that you are okay, after all I was so scared that something happened to you when you were gone crying. But I see that you're fine".

"It felt better when I confessed and cried. I fell like I got rid of a weight on my heart" He said smiling and without they realized it, they both landed for a kiss. The first kiss Kim has ever gotten, his heart beats was getting fast and his cheek were get hotter has they were blushing. Has they seperated their face, Kim still feel the butterfly in his stomach. They goes they own way and Kim has never been this happy in his whole life.

He sure think it will stay that way.

Chapter Text

It was finally here, the beginning of summer, the end of the school year. God, he had been waiting for this since the beginning of the school year. And it was even better that Marinette and Zoe organized a cool party at the Eiffel Tower. It was all fun and game until a villain named Nightormentor arrived and started to spread chaos through Paris by hitting them with some kind of dust that gave them vision of their deepest fear, a lot like his power as Darkness Fear.

But needless to say Ladybug and Cat Noir saved the day as always when the party was over. He was picked up by his uncle Paul who is also Richard's father so he could spend the night at their house because both of Kim's fathers were out of Paris for a reason he doesn't remember.
During the ride, Paul was talking to Kim by explaining how to drive a car and the different rules on the road as he was a driving instructor and Kim was the age to learn how to drive.

When they parked in the alley, Kim immediately runs off the car as the open the door that was already open, when he took off his shoes to put them in the entryway, he noticed that there were more shoes than the ones Aunt Mari, Uncle Paul, and Richard, like two pair of shoes. One of the pair was white, with a purple vamp, black sole, and yellow tongue, which was recognized as Richard's partner, Edie. But he didn't recognize to whom the other pair of shoes belonged.

"Hey Kim," Richard said from behind him which almost scared Kim, his hair was tied in a low short ponytail, he was wearing his usual pajamas who is set of a blue t-shirt and navy shorts and he had a grey prosthetic on his left foreleg, "I think you should take a shower and change into your PJ. I will be waiting for you in the living room with Edie and Socqueline". With those words, Kim got directly to the bathroom, and when he realized that Socqueline was there. God, how is he gonna explain to her his perspectives of what happened to her without her being angry at him? He hasn't seen her since last year.

After a bit, Kim came out of the bathroom, now wearing a red tank top with the same logo as his hoodie and a white pant. As he walked to the living room that was directly connected to the kitchen, he saw Richard sitting on the couch, Socqueline was wearing a PJ similar to Marinette's but the pants were blue and white was analyzing the many movie DVDs and video game discs and Edie was in the kitchen preparing snacks. They have siena skin color, ice blue eyes, a center-parted disheveled bob dyed brown with blond roots, and wearing a white t-shirt with a purple sharp mouth design and violet pants.

"Oh hey Kim, long time," Edie said while they put the tray of snacks on the small table in front of the couch before they sat down next to Richard which Kim also did and so did Socqueline soon after she put the disc on the video player.
After what felt like 2 hours passed Kim still wasn't comfortable with the presence of Socqueline, it was weird that she didn't even glare at him when he entered the living room. Feeling more uneasy, he suddenly got up from the couch "I am tired, I'm going to sleep. Good night" and headed to Richard's room and lay on the rollaway bed next to Richard's bed.

He had a hard time trying to sleep as he wasn't really tired and just wanted an excuse to leave without showing his discomfort. He looks around the room and tries to find something to distract him to sleep. He looked at the many posters of Broadway, off-broadway, West End, french and independent musicals, the ballet barres, the director chair, or the sign on the door that looked like the one on New York theater with "Starring Richard Ature" written on it and with the point shoes hanging from it. But none of this is helping him.

So he decided that he wasn't tired, and he walked back to the living room but stopped when he passed the open door of Aut Mari's office. He saw something on the floor, like some important files that had fallen due to the wind, from the open window. He decided to pick it up and what he saw on it made his heart drop down to his stomach. It was a file of the detention juvenile center release paper of Samuel Gara. How can it be possible, he was supposed to stay there until he was 19.

"Well, I think it's time to sleep. It started to get pretty late" Kim heard Richard yawning which made Kim shiver as he let down the files on the floor and ran back to Richard's room and pretended to sleep as Richard arrived one minute after to sleep on his bed. Socqueline and Edie were probably in the guest room as none of them entered Richard's. After 20 minutes or so of fake sleep, Kim finally managed to deep sleep for real.

But that night, he had a pretty terrifying dream, a nightmare to be honest.

He was in front of a high school, the letters that were supposed to be the name of the establishment were too confusing for him to read, but that didn't stop him from passing the gate, the sky was dark with no stars in the sky. As he was walking in the courtyard he spotted Max sitting on a bench, "Hey Max how was your summer ?" But as he does, Max gets up off the bench, ignoring him. Kim was quite confused about why he acted like that, he then saw Juleka, Alix, and Rose, he walked to them but they only looked at him with disgust. And it was the same as his encounter with the other classmates.

"What...What is happening" Kim said his voice trembling until he noticed a bright red fog on the ground that was surrounding his classmate by the neck, he followed the trail of fog to see that it came from the red fire of a lighter that was held by none other than Samuel.
"Well well, isn't that same loser from last year." He said as he slowly walked to him before pushing him to the ground and stepping on his head "Do you think I'm gonna respect you just because you got a bit of muscle, a new haircut, and dressed differently" He said before letting his lighter fall on him which burned Kim with a red fire.

"Sorry to say that. But you are wrong"

Kim woke up from his nightmare sweating and breathing heavily. He started to get nauseous and put a hand on his mouth before he ran to the bathroom to throw up. Once he finished, he got up to clean his dental splint and started shaking uncontrollably, and he saw Richard entering the room also shaking.
"Kim, are you okay ?" He asked panicked Kim only sobbed while hugging him and explaining everything to him
"Shh, it was just a bad dream. He won't even be in the same school as you" He said doing his best to calm him but it was no use.

The next morning, Kim still has the memory of this horrible nightmare he had last night, it seems to be the same for his uncle and aunt, Richard, Edie, and Socqueline. He decided to go see the resistance at the Couffaine's residence to explain that weird nightmare phenomenon. When he arrived everyone seemed to suffer from the same problem as him. They had a nightmare that night and they all thought that it had something to do with the Akuma of last night. But all of them immediately stopped the conversation as they received a notification from their alliance for an app called "Perfect Alliance" which is also the word to say to download it. Which is what they all did.

When Kim started to do what the alliance told him to do, he started to relax when he saw Adrien and Kagami swimming on the small screen, it relaxed him so much that he almost fell asleep as he ignored Mylene trying to warn them about the danger of it.

But it all changed when the app turned red and Ladybug and Cat Noir kidnapping Kagami and Adrien and it shocked him, how can the only superheroes of Paris do something like that?

"There's nothing left to protect us from being akumatized now!" Rose said panicked as Alya responded, "Ladybug would never do that!" She said as she took off her alliance.
"You saw what we all saw!" Kim said in an even more panicked state and Alya responded "Trust me, we all know Ladybug because she saved every one of us at least once! We all owe something to Ladybug and we know she would never kidnap anyone, and neither would..." before her attention drifts to something that Kim didn't notice. But it got worse when Ivan got Miraculized, at this moment, he and the others took off their rings despite the nightmares.

Kim, Nino, and Nathaniel tried their best to tackle their friend down and take his ring. Ivan was panicked but Mylene managed to calm him.

Then lots of things happened next, billions of Miraculized attacked them, and then Bunnyx arrived along with Luka, Jagged Stone, Penny, the United Heroez, the Order of the Guardians, and Ladydragon. They do their best to stop the chaos but even they get attacked. Kim felt like there was no hope and that everything was over.

That was until one month later, everything came back to normal the only exception was that Adrien's mother Emily was there and that his father died. No one knows what happened but hey... at least, Adrien has a nice pool now and for the best, Miss Bustier became mayor and created a school that will assure them a bright future.

A few days before school started again, Kim came back to his room after a late night session of sport with Arthur, he saw a box on his nightstand, it looked like the box he had with the monkey miraculous from the party at Adrien's house. When he opened it, Xuppu appeared and Kim couldn't be happier to see his kwami back with him after so long.
"Nice to see you, little buddy"

And there he was, standing next to the other heroes of Paris. Ready to fight crime and upcoming danger. He wasn't that weak and afraid boy anymore.

He was King Monkey.

In La Plage, Cerise was making a call on her laptop to Mr. Damocles "Mr. Damocles? Hello! My family and I just moved to Paris. Is it still possible to register me and my stepbrother at your new school for the upcoming year?"
Mr. Damocles responded "Of course! I'll see you at the start of the school year." and ended the call.

Cerise attached the butterfly miraculous on her blouse as she look to someone hidden in the shadow, the only thing she could see was his black boots with pins with skulles, fire and smiley illuminated by the dim light, he was playing with a butterfly knife. "So do you remembers the deal, I took you out of jail, and you help me take down this Marinette Dupain-Cheng" she said.

"Can't promise but I will help you cause I have myself things to settle with one of her many friends" He throw the knife and the blade land on a picture of Kim at the pool contest of last years. He then took off a cigarette on put it in his mouth as he took his lighter. Cerise then said "Well I hope you will be a better ally than Chloé Bourgeois. Am I right" The man finally light up his lighter which burn a red flame and light up his cigarette that illuminated his face to reveal his true identity.

Beep Beep Beep

"Kim...KIM" Xuppu said annoyed as Kim was still asleep. When Kim opened his eyes, he saw Xuppu jumping on the button of his alarm without any result and even lifting it. "This thing kept making noise and I want to sleep"

Kim got up, rubbed his eyes out of fatigue, and pressed the button but this time, the noise stopped "It's making noise because it's time to wake up" Kim said before taking off his splint.

"But why do we have to wake up" Xuppu complained. Kim just laughed as he got to change himself. "Because I have to go to school. It's my first day at Miss Bustier school you know? Plus it will be easier for me since everything changes."

Kim finished dressing up and looked at himself in his mirror. He didn't change that much from last year, his hair and slightly longer which shows black roots, he is wearing a red and white varsity jacket, the same hoodie but with the color swapped, and dark blue jeans. Yep, 16 and ready for a fresh year.

Without wasting much time, Kim left his room and went downstairs with Xuppu hidden in the pocket of the jacket, where his dads were waiting for him and Jax was eating in his bowl. Kim immediately pets Jax "Good morning Jax" to which Jax responds by nuzzling and barking, Kim then sits at the table along with Lûan and Arthur.
"Good morning son," Arthur said as he was drawing some logos on his notebook "How was your night ?"

"Pretty good" Kim responded happy as he took a banana and started to eat it, he reminded himself to save a piece of it for Xuppu.
"Are you ready for your first day of high school?" Lûan asked as he handed Kim's prescription pills to his son, Kim responded right after he took those "It's more like a school for all ages. But yes, I'm ready" As soon as Kim finished his breakfast, he left the house and Richard was there waiting for him. He didn't change that much either, his turtleneck shirt was white, he was wearing a blue lumberjack-styled jacket and he was wearing blue sneakers instead of his ballet shoes like he did two years ago.

"Hey Kim," Richard said putting a hand on Kim's shoulder "Are you ready to discover the new way of learning". Kim responded smiling and exited "Sure am I" to which Richard responded with "Then here we go"

They both walked to the nearest metro station where Edie was waiting for them. They were wearing a purple t-shirt with the logo of the group 'Mother Mother' from the album 'Inside', along with a green jacket similar to Kim's, light blue jeans shorts, and rainbow socks, along with their usual sneakers. They were also wearing a green and white baseball cap and their bag had pins of the non-binary flag with Edie's pronouns written on it with a marker, one of the logos of the musical 'Hamilton' and one of a baseball.
"Hey Kim, hey babe," Edie said as they walked to Richard to kiss him.

"Hey," Richard said kissing them back "How was your summer ?". The three entered the metro and Edie responded "It was great, I visited family in Cardiff, I got picked as both pitcher and hitter in the baseball team, and...oh speaking of that, I was thinking that Kim could try out for the baseball team. What do you think little guy" They asked.

Kim immediately responded "Sure why not", he then looked at his pocket discreetly and saw Xuppu smiling at him and he smiled back. But when he lifted his head, his gaze stopped at a boy his age, shorter than him and muscular, wearing black clothes, like ripped pants, a dark brown belt, a black sleeveless jacket with a design of an open eye drawn with a silver outline on the back, black combat boots with red pins with black fire, one white with black outline skull and one red with a white smiley. The most intriguing for him was his black hair with the red tips. Kim didn't see his face, but this boy looked like another guy who tormented him.

"Kim, we arrived," Richard said calmly as they all left the metro and headed directly to this school. It wasn't looking like any other school, this one looked more modern and colorful, with lots of flowers on the outside. Kim was amazed, it was the same for Richard and Edie was just looking at it in a chill manner.
"Hey Kim, over there" Kim turned to see Max and the rest of his class waving at him, Kim ran to them and did a secret handshake to Max...Well not so secret since they did it in front of the others.

The morning passed pretty quickly, Kim tried for the baseball team as a baseman and he kinda enjoyed it. But he can't forget about his favorite sport, he swears he couldn't live without it. He was thinking of either going pro or becoming a swim instructor. And with Ondine with him, this day couldn't get any better.

Then there was the welcome meeting where Kim was finally able to see his friends back. When he arrived, Kim spotted many students, some of them were from François Dupont, others from Vauban, and others he never met, heck there were even some from the orphanage he had been to. He should think of speaking to them.
He walked to his seat where most of his class was sitting. He sat next to Zoe just to wait for Max and the conversation between them was about what they did this morning, asked her how was theater class and how she found his cousins Richard and Edie who were also taking those classes.

After a few minutes, Max arrived looking quite annoyed as he sat next to Kim. "Hey Max, how was your science class ?" Kim asked innocently but Max looked at him and responded "It was 99% great, but it dropped to 74% near the end".

Kim was confused and asked why, he said "Well I was helping others with their experience, and there was this punk that kept calling the other's works 'amateur' and pretended that he could modify that molecular structure of a specific matter". After those explanations, Kim didn't understand the last part, but he only knew one punk who was interested in science and who was prideful. God damn it, now he is gonna pick on his friends.

"Attention students," Principal Damocles said out loud "Welcome, I hope you had a happy morning discovering the school and trying the class you like. Before we continue, I would like to present you to a student who is willing to be the president of the student council. I present to you, Cerise Bianca"

As he finished his speech, a student walked to the podium with a brown pixie cut, and hazel-brown eyes, and she was dressed in a preppy style, she had a wooden bracelet on her left wrist. It was weird, she looked like someone he had known, she was similar but he couldn't put his fingers on it.

"Greeting everyone," Cerise said excitedly "My job is to make sure everyone here is comfortable. If you need help, just ask me or the vice president who is none other than my stepbrother...Who is kind of late but will arrive in a matter of seconds"

Just as she finished, the doors burst open violently, and all the students and teachers turned to see who did that. Kim froze as he realized it was the same guy from the metro, and he was right, it was him... It was...

"There he is" Cerise continued as the boy walked to the stage and near the podium next to Cerise "The vice-president, Samuel Gara"

While some students clapped, Kim was paralyzed, how could this guy be a vice president, he must have a criminal record, and it was not a chain bracelet on the left wrist and earing on the right ear that would change his opinion of him. Okay, all he has to do is wish that they never cross each other's path.

After the meeting, Kim decided to go to the bathroom to put water on his face. Xuppu came out of his pocket looking worried after seeing Kim's worries "Hey what's wrong? Did you see a spider ?"

"I didn't see any spider,...but rather someone that used to be mean to me" Kim explained and Xuppu started to feel bad for him and responded, "Is that the vice-president ?" Kim simply nodded which made Xuppu smirk "Don't worry, if he hurts you, I'll put a prank that he won't forget". Those words made Kim chuckle a bit, but he soon, heard the sound of someone approaching the bathroom so he asked Xuppu to hide back in his pocket as someone entered the bathroom and Kim stopped as he recognized him.

"K...Kim ?!" Kenny said half-surprised, half-scared. He closed the door behind him and walked to him smirking. "Oh dude, that was a long time since we didn't see each other" His smirk fell, and frowned instead "If we ignored the fact that you tried to kill me"

Kim looked away "Leave me alone, Kenny" but those words didn't stop anything. "Oh, since Mister got a glow-up, he thinks he is gonna be the king of the school" Kenny responded.

'I'm not trying to be king of school or whatever title" Kim said annoyed "I just want respect". Kenny laughed at his response "Respect...seriously, you are like the only guy that wears swimming earplugs when he isn't swimming" Kenny point at Kim's miraculous in camouflage mode almost touching it but Kim stop him by grabbing his wrist.
"Don't touch"

Kenny looked confused but continued laughing. "What's the matter? Afraid that I stole your things? Are you gonna punch in the teeth for that or are you gonna send my best friend in jail again?" Kim was even more annoyed at his response, he looked down to see that Xuppu had escaped his pocket and tied Kenny's shoelaces all together, he couldn't help but smile a bit.

"Hey, bastard !" Kenny said which triggered Kim "Do you even listen to me ?" Kenny said to which Kim responded "Fuck off, Kenny" and walked away and get out of the bathroom, leaving Kenny shocked.
"Hey...HEY, where are you going..." Kenny tried to follow him but he tripped and fell face-first on the floor.

The day finally ended. The school organized a little welcoming party and if you ignored the reunion in the bathroom, it was a great day for Kim and all the other students. He didn't like school since the beginning, but now, he feels accepted and helped.

It will be the best yea...

"HEY, who is that girl up there ?!" A student yelled and they all turn to see what was happening. What they saw shocked them. It was a girl with brown and purple hair tied in a high ponytail, purple eyes, a purple dress with puff sleeves and longer sleeves in a darker purple, a dark grey waistcoat with butterfly button, black leggings with purple butterfly design, purple heels boots, dark grey gloves and butterfly earrings as well as a butterfly necklace. She was wearing a purple eye mask and was holding the canne.

"Parisian, ladies and gentleman, I'm Chrysalis. Do you all think the reign of Monarch ended. Well you are all wrong, its just the beginning." She than ended by laughing. Despite the chaos, Kim manage to run to the nearest hiding spot and let Xuppu out of his pocket.

"Okay, so apparently, I can't pass a first day of school without something happening. Xuppu, Showtime"

Right after he transform into King Monkey, he climbed up to the rooftop where the rest of the team was for the fight.
"You better give us the butterfly miraculous" Ladybug said out loud to Chrysalis which only make her chuckle.
"I would return the demand"

As they all started to fight, they are almost winning the fight... but something weird happened. First they didn't know where was the butterfly miraculous and when Cat was about to attack her, something hit him in the head.

They were surprise to see someone, a man also wearing a purple tailcoat with the back looking like moth wings, and the lapels looking like that as well, he was wearing a dark purple pants, dark grey boots with butterfly buttons, a grey belt with butterfly buckle, as well as dark grey gloves and a purple eye mask, but he was silver hair and grey eyes and he was holding the butterfly canne like a baseball bat.

"What there is two of them ?!" Carapace said shocked. "I don't understand, its impossible for two different person to use the same miraculous at the same times" Ladybug respond.

"Well now you can see from your own eyes, that its the case now" The man said walking next to Chrysalis who said "Meet Arna, the second butterfly miraculous holder"

"This year, the rules has change" Arna said then let the parole to Chrysalis "And you will have to deal with it". Then both of thrm said.
"Sorry not sorry".

And as they finish, they disapear in a cloud of moths.
Everyone started to panic, feeling hopeless Ladybug told a speech, that reassure most of the students.

King Monkey on the other hand, didn't know how to feel right, he himself was affected by the fear Chrysalis and Arna were casting. But when he look down, he see his cousin, friends and girlfriend looking afraid but staying hopefull.
No, he can't be afraid, not yet.

He had to stay strong for his love one.

Earlier that week, in La Plage, Nooroo was stuck in the same bocal as the others kwami with Monarch. There were the butterfly miraculous with him but the stripes are gone, clearly ripped of. Nooroo was able to see light coming from a room. He know what was waiting for him.

After 5 long minutes, the door open, with Cerise and Samuel came out of the room, each of them holding a bracelet with on it a butterfly looking amethyst.

"Please, don't do this" Nooroo plead "You could be seriously harmed if you use tho..." Nooroo was interrupted by Samuel that throw the bocal across the room, luckily it didn't break but Nooroo was quiet dizzy.
"You better shup up" Samuel said annoyed by the kwami.

Cerise took off her wooden bracelet to put the miraculous made one, and Samuel took off his glove to reveal many burn scars on the forearm before he put his bracelet.

"With those" Cerise said "We will finally take down Ladybug and Cat Noir, and grant our wish". As she finished talking, they both press their fingers on the amethyst and they both say.
"Nooroo, Dark Wings Rise"

Nooroo disapear in a purple cloud which transform Cerise and Samuel into Chrysalis and Arna. Both of them looked at themself in the mirror while laughing like maniacs

"Those citizens have no idea, what's coming next"

Okay, so Kim faced so many things within a day, his ex-best friend Kenny is in the same school and decided to mocked his friends, he got informated that Samuel was the vice-president and last but not least, the butterfly miraculous is used by not one, but two villain. And its just the beginning of the school year.

"Oh god damn it" Kim growl fustrated while falling on his bed as Xuppu was flying right above him. That day was pretty much exhausting for him, and now he had to face the same exact thing as last year again.

"Hey, don't be mad my friend" Xuppu said making face, trying to lighten the mood of his holder. Kim smiled and chuckle has he get up to look at his phone to check the news. To the surprise of no one, there were already so much articles about the new villains, so many tweets about how "hot" the new villains looks like as if they are just random celebrities and many memes about the subject.

While he was scrolling, he recieved a message from Max, he didn't waste much time to open it and read it.

"We have an hero meeting tomorrow night at the Eiffel Tower, make sure King Monkey is present ;)"

Kim was about to respond to the text but someone knocked at the door, Xuppu quickly hide as Kim close the app before saying come in. The person enter, revealing to be Richard, "Diner's ready" he said as Kim smiled but still have this feeling of disconfort. There were most of the family that had gathered at his home to discuss about the current situation, and of course there will be grandma Nhan, Kim didn't see her alot, but he didn't miss her once.

Richard sense that something was wrong with his cousin, of course having to deal with an other year of villany isn't the best thing that could happen, so Richard closed the door and came to sit next to Kim. "I get that it can pretty stressfull right now, but that doesn't mean that we have to lose hope" Richard said but this didn't help Kim which Richard noticed and tried harder "And I sure you see all those heroes that were fighting against them, they looked strong and fearless, they are here to protect us" Kim wasn't relieved by those words, how can he be protected by the hero team if he was one of them.

"I'm also scared you know" Richard said sound more sad and worried then anything "Like I thought, since Monarch got beaten, I thought we will finally have a normal life, that you and I could be happy, no stress or worries. Turn out life is not a fairytale who always end on an happy ending"

Kim looked at his cousin surprise, usually Richard would always try his best to be happy around him so he could feel better, but it was like the first time Richard even show himself looking sad and scared. Seeing him like that give Kim the determination to protect him and everyone else. So without hesitation, Kim hugged Richard, promising to himself that everything is gonna be okay.

The next day, Kim was swimming at the school pool, trying to empty his mind, his fustration was visible in his mouvement. He didn't count how many laps he did. But once he finish his laps and swam to the edge, he was only welcome by a pair of black boots. He was first frightened and he started to look up to see the face of Samuel looking indifferent.

"Well, well" Samuel said smirking "Isn't that Lê Chiến Kim ? I almost didn't reconized you ." Samuel then squatted to face Kim "Different appearance, same dumbass. I wonder how you managed to hide your past self for almost two years." He said in a mocking tone.

"Dude, I'm no longer scared of you" Kim replied "Just because you are the now the vice-president of the student council doesn't mean you gonna make my life a living hell again"

Samuel just laughed before he stop and say "Oh don't worry, I'm not gonna make your life a living hell. At least not for now" Kim was pretty much scared in the inside, no... he didn't want him to bully him again.

"So what ? Its not like I'm gonna be your scapegoat, because that's not what a good vice-president will do." Kim said as he was about to go back swimming but was stopped by Samuel that grabbed him by the chin which forced him to look him right in the eyes. Kim didn't even tried to free himself as he was looking at Samuel's more serious face "I don't think you understand how its work. I'm your superieur, I can get you in trouble whatever I want, just like you got me in trouble. I'm on top of the hierachie and you can tried your best to climb up, I will make sure you fall back to your original spot, and there is nothing you can do about it" Samuel free Kim as he get up "So you better behave." and he walked away.

Kim was completly shock, he thought that if he stand for himself, it will work like it worked with Kenny. But Samuel on the other hand, doesn't seems to even take him seriously, he didn't seem to be shocked by his confidence at all. It won't gonna be an easy year, Kim was thinking.

During lunch time, Kim was with Max and Alix at the park for some picnic, he was able to see that Samuel was also in the park, smoking a cigarette. Kim had just finished explaining what happened this morning to his friends.

"Damn, after hearing that, I feel weird to find myself in radius of 20 meter with him" Max said which was loud enough for Samuel to heard them.
"I'm not deaf, you dipshit" Samuel responded looking at them which quiet scared Kim a little bit and make Alix stand up.
"Well, I thought you were edgy enough to have a gang meeting in an abandon factory and having fun senting the rats on fire, but no, you go to the park just to smoke, I'm more afraid of the pigeon guy that you" Alix said with sarcassm as she turn to Mr.Ramier "Don't take this seriously sir"

Samuel simply smirk as he crush his cigarette against the edge of the fountain extenguising it. "Whoa, thats an impressive attemps at humor. Can't wait to see the rest of the circus". Kim didn't responded and just looked away, yet he was able to heard the sound of a the wheels of skateboard coming closer. God, he is gonna join now, he could see that Max and Alix were both annoyed.

"Hey Samy" Kenny said has he raise his first toward Samuel for a fist bump only for him to ignore that "Long time since we saw each other" He said in an awkward way and Samuel only respond "So many years" while rolling his eyes.

"Oh great, he is also friend with that guy" Max said annoyed "He is soo smart and soo dumb at the same time". Little sounds could be heard in Kim's bag, the three of them looked inside and saw their respectif Kwami playing with each others which make them laugh.

"Hey Ken, look at those idiots, laughing at nothing" Samuel said looking at the group, who looked back at the duo angry. "Oh come on dude" Kenny said "Kim is way to boring to bully now. Those two however" He said approching them. Kim know what he meant and he get up, walked toward him and said "Don't you dare lay a finger on my friends".

Kenny chuckle "Oh right, I didn't remembers that being pathetic was contagious" he jockily stepped back like if Kim have a disease "I almost feel sorry for them, like I guest its not easy to be friend with the first loser you saw". Kim then walked away from him and toward the park entrance.
"Let's go guys, lets not bother ourself with them" He said to both Max and Alix, and the three of them took their stuff and leave the park.

This night, the miraculous team where on the top of the Eiffel Tower for the meeting, King Monkey was quiet late, he apologized for that and the meeting and Ladybug started to talk.
"We all know that yesterday was a really tought day, now we you all have to be really careful, Chrysalis and Arna may not know your identities but that doesn't mean they can tried to steal your miraculous. This battle might be harder then expected, but we still need to fight, for us and for all.the parisians" They all looked at each others smiling for reasurence. "For now, its necessary that when patrol each night to prevent any akumatization that might happen".

The next day, Kim wanted to learn Max and the younger students how to swim, they all decided this morning, him and his friends to do something positive too stay strong during this time.
"Okay Max, let's try to dive, first put yourself in an arrows position, then point the water with his hands, and tried to bends you knees and your back for it to form like a bridge and..." Kim didn't even finished his sentence that someone pushed Max in the water as this one tried his best to swim without any success.

"MAX" Kim yelled panicked as he dive to rescue him, he managed to bring Max out of the water and ask him if everything is okay, they both heard laughing to see that it was Kenny that pushed him in the water.
"Oh my god, ah ah ah, should have see the look on your face Max, ah ah ah"

Kim was enraged, now he really felt what Adrien felt when he learn what he did to Marinette. "ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS" Kim shouted "HE COULD HAVE DROWN AND YOU ARE LAUGHING" his fist where shaking out of rage.
Kenny on the other hand, slowly stop laughing and looked at Kim smirking "Oh come on, he is like 16 and he can't swim. Swimming is like just a mix of buoyancy and drag force. How can it be this difficult."

Kim was at his limits, he was way too blinded by rage that he pulled Kenny by the collar of his t-shirt and drag him in the water, which followed in Kim punching him in the face, Kenny didn't remained passive has he started to punch and kicked him in the guts resulting in the two getting in a fight inside the pool.

"Hey, I don't think violence is a proper way to resolve conflits" Cerise arrived at the pool, stoping the fight as both Kim and Kenny came out of the pool. "I hope you two have good explanation for the principal"

Kenny glared at Kim and Kim glared back as he walked to a changing room with Max following him. Cerise then left the poolroom, and activated the earing that was in her ear this whole time.
"Samuel, I will let you direct the ouverture".

Meanwhile, Samuel was hidden in a place in construction of the school as he just recieved the call from Cerise. He pull off his glove and activated the bracelet, transforming into Arna.
Arna then sence the anger of both the boys that used to be friends to one another. Arna make his choice has he open the caps of the canne letting out the butterfly out of it.

"Rage, jealousy, pride three of the element made for the perfect akuma" As the butterfly lay on the palm of his hands, as he violently close it like he is gonna crush the butterfly and purple flame came out of it, he open his palm and the akuma flyed away to its victim.
"I told you to behave".

Kenny was walking to the principal office, he was soaked and was completly angry about the fight. "How can this idiot thought he could overpower me ?". He didn't even noticed the akuma that was flying in the same corridor as him, and it was too late for him to see it, that it already entered his pins.

"Tensor" The voice of Arna was talking to him "I'm Arna, seems that you have enough of the competition, well I will give you to power to completly erase it, with those powers, you can bend the laws of physics at your will. But at one condition, you have to give us the miraculous of Ladybug and Cat Noir. Deal ?" As Arna finished speaking Kenny said "Is Argon heavier than nitrogen ? The answer is yes"
A purple flames started to consume Kenny as this one is akumatized into the first villain in the hands of Arna

Back to the poolroom, Kim was walking toward a changing rool with a towel on his left shoulder and Max following him.
"Kim..." Max asked which made Kim turned to him "You really didn't have to, you know."

"Dude, you could have drown. I had to do something" Kim said putting his wet hands on Max's shoulders "This guy had practicly ruined my life, and I don't want him to ruin yours"

Max smiled at those words which make Kim smiled as well. "I will see you when I got out of the principal office" Kim said before he enter a changing room, he first took off his swimming cap after he dry himself, then he changed his swimsuit into his usual clothes, but before his hoodie, he looked at the mirror hanged on the door, he looked at his stomach to see bruises, he touched those and shivered out of pain.

He tried to ignored it, so he turned his back on it and just as he finish to put his hoodie on and was about to took his jacket, he felt something pulling him by the hood and without any warning, he hit the mirror, but instead of falling outside the changing room like it should, he fall back on his back inside the changing room.

Kim was surprised, he looked around him to see that the room was now dark, he then looked at the source of this and was shocked to see a tall figure wearing a black lab coat with the vest in an asymmetric style, black pants and black boots as well as red gloves. He had a pins on the coat with a blue and red molecule design with also the word "Tensor" written in red ont and he was wearing round protection goggles that glow red. It took Kim some times to realized that the figure hair despide being spikier at the tips, looked exactly like...

"K...Kenny ?" Kim said surprised which make the figure smiled show all of his teeth and the one missing was replaced with a metal looking one.

"Wrong Kimmy" The figure said making an X with his arms "Who you have here, is the master of the laws of physics, the bender of all matters and the travelers of time and space. I named, ...TENSOR". Kim was afraid yet impressed by how bizarre Tensor was able to bend and scretch his whole body in impossible ways like it was made out of rubber, that it seems to change the matter he is made off and that he is able to dubliquate and other things like that.

"What's going on?W...where are we ?" Kim ask terrified which Tensor responded "Well you see, in physics there is something called the theory of relativity of simultaneity, those are events that are simultaneous in one frame of reference but may not be simultaneous in another moving frame of reference, and I modify that a bit, so the frame you are in is completly invisible for everyone. In other words, YOU... ARE... FUCKED"

As Tensor started laughing, he turned into a black liquid that passed under the door, Kim open it to run after him, but he was nowhere to be seen.
"Xuppu, Showtime"

But nothing happen, he repeated the transformation sentence 3 more times but still no transformation. He check if he had his miraculous on him, he does, he check if Xuppu was in his bag, he was deeply sleeping, so Kim called him to wake up but the kwami didn't even respond. Kim didn't want to try harder so run outside the changing room and spotted Max walking in the hallways with Alix, he run to them, tried to warn them but they themself didn't responded.

Kim decided to touch Max shoulder but it caused that one to jump out of fear. "Hey Max what happened ?" Alix asked him which Max responded "I felt something touching me, I don't what it was I couldn't see it" and they walked away.

Kim was shocked, no one could see him, no one could heard him even if he scream. He had become the first victim of the first akumatized and he couldn't ask for help or protect others.

"No...no...NO. Not again"

Chapter Text

Max was waiting in front of the cafeteria door, he had tried to call Kim on his phone for hours now but each time he called, he fell into his voicemail. Max was kind of worried about him, after all, there was a 68.5% chance that the fight at the pool might have gotten him suspended or even worse...expelled.

"Max, are you gonna stay here or..." He heard Alix say from behind his back.
"Oh, I'm coming right now" He replied before he looked one more time at his phone screen hoping for a notification or something...but instead, the screen of his phone started glitching.
"What ?" Max was surprised, he tried to fix it but it was no use.
Max decided to finally enter the cafeteria, it was bustling with students, all of them were sitting with their groups, their friends, or even by themself.

Max then saw the teacher's table which was in a separate room from the rest of the cafeteria where Mr. Damocles was sitting, he decided to go to him to get some information.
"Hello sir, I just wanted to what Kim exactly got after the fight ?" Max asked but it only left Mr. Damocles confused "He got into a fight but with who actually ?".

Max was confused as well, didn't Kim and Kenny supposed to have a talk with the principal like 47 minutes ago. Why didn't the principal aware who Kim had a fight? Before Max could explain anything, a teacher entered to say that something wrong was happening which caused Mr. Damocles and the two other teachers in the room to run out of it leaving Max alone in the room.

Kaalki came out of his backpack, "What is actually happening" Max responded with "I don't know, but there is only one way to find out..." Max was about to leave the room, but all of a sudden, the door closed shut by itself, Max tried to open it back but it won't even slightly move.

Max knew that something was wrong "Kaalki, kick hide" he said which Kaalki did. The only light bulb in the room started to flicker at a very fast pass until it, spread pieces of glass across the room, and then black liquid came out of it, this liquid started to take a humanoid form that was floating on top of the table, then red lighting appeared around it which turn this strange masse until a mad scientist looking person.

"Hey, Hey, little Maxy," The person said laughing. Max was shocked by that sudden apparition, he immediately recognized who it was from the voice and hairstyle but he decided to play dumb.
"Who are you ?" Max asked to which the person responded.

"Let's if you are good at math. The name is based on a mathematical object that is used to generalize scalars, vectors, and matrices to higher dimensions" The person grew taller which surprised Max "It is also used in various fields like physics, engineering, and computer science" He turns back to his original size before saying playfully "I am, I am ?"

"Tensor ?" Max responded which tensor responded "Correct! Guess I underestimated you. If you are smart enough, you should be able to escape this room before this radioactive material right here decays and activates the mechanism that will shove the acid on you" The mechanism he was talking about appeared out of nowhere, he laughed before he clipped through the wall entirely...before he poked his head through the wall just to say "Oh, and don't worry, you won't die,... in another universe". He clipped back out.

Max was quite surprised by what just happened, Kaalki came out of her hiding spot also surprised.
"Or in this universe. Kaalki full gallop" Max transformed into Pegasus and used the Voyage to teleport out of the room and to one of the pool changing rooms. He then sends a text to the rest of the team saying "Beware everyone, the student Kenny Brooke got akumatized into a supervillain named Tensor, he can bend the laws of physics at his will. So be careful". After he sent the text, Pegasus looked around and realized that he was in Kim's changing room, but there was no Kim in it.

Pegasus decided to detransform, and then Max took a piece of apple from his pocket to feed Kaalki. Then Max investigated the room to see what happened, he found Xuppu sleeping in Kim's bag.
"Hey Xuppu, wake up," Max said which surprised Xuppu as he woke "Oh hi Max. Where is Kim ?"

"I thought you would know !?" Max said surprised which confused Xuppu and he started to look all over the place for his owner. "Kim? KIM !!! WHERE ARE YOU !!!" Xuppu started yelling as Max tried to calm him down.

"Don't worry Xuppu, we will find him. Stay here, we first need to get rid of the Akuma" Max transformed into Pegasus again and then left the room leaving Xuppu alone... Who decided to disobey and follow Pegasus.

There was chaos in the school hall, Tensor was dodging the attack of Ryuko, Cat Noir, and Ladybug using various molecular deformations on himself, managed to mess up the second chance power of Viperion and attacked all the others using gravitational force.

"Whoa, seriously everyone" Tensor laughed "You are supposed to be the best team of superheroes in France, yet you can even beat one simple villain", he said stretching his neck toward the defeated heroes on the ground. He then used his X-ray goggles, looked around with the room, and noticed the body temperature of his first victim near the scene. "I'll be right back" then fled the scene to his location.

Meanwhile, Kim, who was still invisible to everyone else, tried his best to help, either throwing things at the villain or distracting him. "Okay Kim, you can do it, just take a deep breath and..." Kim said to himself before the light turned off and on again, and out of nowhere, Tensor appeared right next to him.

"Surprise Bastard," Tensor said before slapping Kim with such force that he flew across the hallways and hit to wall. Kim tried to get up but Tensor used his power to melt the floor beneath him, Kim tried to escape but he sank into the matter, Tensor then returned the floor to its original matter making Kim stuck in the floor with only his shoulders and head visible.

"Oh, what's the matter ?" Tensor said before laughing "Get it? Because I control all kinds of matters... matter ?" It was starting to get really awkward, really fast, but something happened, Tensor got shocked by a purple lighting that seemed painful to him as the Akuma mask appeared as Arna started to speak to him.

"NO TIME FOR JOKING. JUST KILL HIM, THIS IS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY" Arna said with both anger and morbide impatience which Tensor responded, "Okay, okay, no need to zap me to say that". A red-like glowing crystal started to form around Tensor's arm, forming a big claw as he raised it toward Kim. "It is so cool to have the role reversed. Any last word ?"

Kim was afraid to be in this situation. He couldn't move an inch and had nothing else that he could do. But his gaze stopped the Xuppu was far behind Tensor, seeing his shocked face, the relativity thing was no longer affecting him.
Kim decided to look at Tensor with a smug face "I do have some words".

"XUPPU ATTACK"

Tensor was surprised but he felt something on his back and he heard someone saying "Uproar" as a bright yellow light blinded him and Kim. Then all of a sudden, Tensor's claw changed into a furry cat arm "What the... !?". The floor turned into slime as Kim started to swim far away from the hallways.

Kim finally reunited with Xuppu once he got hidden. "Oh little buddy, I thought I would never see you again" They got a small hug before Kim finally noticed that something was wrong, everything around them was getting messed up, everything was getting colorful, and giant alive toys walking around.

"Oops," says Xuppu while rubbing the back of his head, Kim looked at him and asked "What? What is happening ?!"

"Well you may have seen this happening many times, this is basically what happened when a kwami used its power without a holder. It's like sending a space shift in space without a pilot in it, or a car on the road without a driver, either way, it will cause chaos". Xuppu said smiling awkwardly, Kim simply smiled and laughed a bit "Well I have to admit that this is kinda funny. But it's time to help. Xuppu, Showtime"

Right after he transformed, King Monkey managed to find Pegasus hidden in a corner of the school, Pegasus who was both surprised and relieved to see. "Thank god, you're here. Where have you been? Did you cause all of this goofy chaos? Do you have any idea how to beat the Akuma?"

"First, I was struck by Tensor in some kind of frame or something, I don't know. Second, It wasn't me but my kwami, and finally, the answer is no but I have noticed that the pins were feeling out of place compared to the rest of him" King Monkey responded rubbing his chin. Pegasus sighs and says that they must see Ladybug to explain it to her and see how they defeated the villain.

Once the team reunited, Ladybug was kind of annoyed by all the Uproar and chaos that she used the Lucky Charm that was supposed to stop Tensor to stop chaos instead, then another Lucky Charm that is this time a big magnet, looked around her, and her gaze fell on, Ryuko, Vesperia, King Monkey, and Pegasus before she looked at basketball basket in the courtyard and a magnet on her hand.
"I have an idea but we will Pegasus to use his power again," Ladybug said which only shocked Pegasus.

"Me !?!?. But I can't, plus I have only 3 minutes left before I detransform" He responded before Ladybug smiled at him.
"I believed in you, you can do it".

In the part in the construction of the school, Cerise enters and sees Arna visibly angry and irritated, she decides to transform into Chrysalis. "Let me handle the rest," she said as she was now taking control of Tensor who was surprised by this change but just went along with it.

On the miraculous team side, the heroes Ladybug asked the help were hidden separately in a corner of the courtyard. After a few minutes, Tensor arrived in the blink of an eye, he looked around as he said "Oh come on, don't be shy, show yourself, miraculous team"

As he say that, Ryuko came out as storm and hit Tensor's goggles who just laughted "Whoa O.M.G, I'm dying, eh eh eh, you really tought me, the bender of matter, could be hurt by a simple lighting" He said before he really that it only made his goggles disfuction and he couldn't see a thing because of the gliches.

"The fuck...she fucked up by goggles" he said he touched those to fix it and it give the time for King Monkey to hit him right on the cheek which completly break the glass of the goggle and knock out the metal tooth. Then King Monkey did his best to annoyed Tensor, finished by putting the magnet on the pins before he looked with an amused face at Tensor's.
"I'm sorry but in term of physics, I've always prefered sport."

He did a backflip which took off the pins out of the coat, Tensor was about to attack but a portal appeared behind him and Vesperia came out of it and used Venom on him which left him paralyzed.

King Monkey as well as the rest of the team were surprised that Pegasus was able to used his power a second time. Then a thirth potal appeared next to King Monkey and Pegasus came out of it.
"Dude how did you did that, that was so...cool".

"I just grow up" Pegasus responded, King Monkey decided to look at Tensor who was paralyzed and then he break the pins and the akuma flyed out of it, Ladybug purified it and throw the magnet in the air which fixed everything, and Tensor got de-akumatized back to Kenny.

"Eugh, how did I get here" Kenny said really confused, King Monkey walked to him just go give him his pins back and Ladybug as well for the magical charm.
"Kenny, this is a magical charm, he will reminded you that your emotions can take the best of you and that managing to control it if the key to avoid akumatization". Kenny looked at her and take the magical charm, then he look at King Monkey and is handing him the pins with a small smile, Kenny hesitated to take it, blushing before he finally.

Once the miraculous team hand bump, they all leave to differents place inside the school to detransform, leaving Kenny alone in the courtyard.
"That Monkey Dude was hot"

It was the end of the day and Max and Kim were ready to leave. They decided to talk about the new powers of Max. "So basically, you decided to you weren't a kid anymore and you got illimited power ? Do you think I will also grown up ?" Kim asked.

"I'm pretty sure you, starting from your mind" Max which make Kim said "Hey" and Max responded that Kim isn't the only one to make joke.

"You're right, that was pretty funny"

Meanwhile at La Plage, both Samuel and Cerise were discussing what had happen from each otherd point of view and Samuel said something rather interesting.

"That dude, Kim" Samuel started "When I was in control of Tensor, he seems that beware of the existence of the Kwami of derision"

"And what do you think you could conclude" Cerise asked which made Samuel smirk as he use a lighter to burn a picture of Mrs. Bustier class from last year.
"I'm not sure, but if one members of this class have any information about a kwami".
Samuel then let the burning picture fall on the ground and step on it to stop the flames.

"Then the rest of it know who are this team"

Chapter Text

This year was kinda rought and full of ups and downs. There were more akumatization then last year, enough for Kim to be exhausted both physically and mentally, but each time, he kept this goofy and happy attitude just to give hope to the peoples they save each day. But if it wasn't enough, Kenny seem to have became a little fanboy to him, well his superhero alter ego precisely. Like, he would follow him and the miraculous team everywhere they go and cheer him everytime he did something and of course, each time he accidendly put himself in danger in the process, it was him that had to save him.

One day, Kim enter his room as King Monkey through the window and once he flopped into his bed, he detransform and sigh. "That was a rought day" He said as he rub the belly of Jax that was laying right next to him, Xuppu decided to do the same.
Kim smiled a bit until he heard the notification from his phone, he looked at the screen and he gasp as his face turn pale.
"Oh shit !" He rapidly get up from his bed to tie his now even longer hair in a high bun and run of his room, with Xuppu that followed him surprised.

Kim had arrived at the parc des Tuileries, completly exhausted, he finally saw Ondine who was sitting on a bench, looking impatient.
"Ondine!" Kim said as he was running toward her panting. "Sorry, I'm late. I was helping my dad bying new markers for his job" God he sucked at lying.

"Whoa, that must be very nice of you to help your dad on your birthday" Ondine said which surprise Kim, they were already on June 18th, he was already 17, damn time pass fast when you are a superhero.
"My birthd...? Oh yeah, I knew it. Happy birthday to myself, I guess". He said awkwardly as Ondine simply smiled as she give him his birthday gift, it was a dolphin charm.

"Whoa, this is awsome, thank you so much" Kim took it as he had it to his necklace he was wearing since last year, along with the broken heart, was the magical charm. "I love it" Kim said as he kissed Ondine, but as they seperated, Ondine started to look upset.

"Ondine, something's wrong ?" Kim asked which Ondine responded "I'm fine, Its just..." she stop to take a breath and continued takling "You have been so distant this year". Kim was confused by what she said so he asked "What do you mean ?" which Ondine responded with "You often miss most of our date, there are time when you don't answer my call and answer very late to my messages. It feels like...you...Nevermind" She couldn't finish her sentence because she just couldn't find the right word to say.

Kim knew what she meant, so he immediately said "Don't say that, I still love you. I was just really busy lately, you know with pool and family..." But Ondine doesn't seems to believed him, so Kim got an idea "You know what ?! Forgot about me... I mean what do YOU want to do ?"

Ondine think for a bit then said "Well there is the school play next week that seems pretty interesting and..." Kim interrupted her with a smile "I would be there, I promise."

Ondine then smile, kissed him and said, "I hope so. See you tomorrow" Before she left, leaving Kim alone in the park. But Kim smile started to fade as he sit on the bench and look at his necklace. He didn't felt like himself lately, no longer optimistic or energized.
He was brough back to reality by Xuppu that just spit in the palm of his hand, Kim was first disgusted until he realized it was some kind of golden looking charm.

"Happy birthday, Buddy" Xuppu said and Kim asked what was that. "This is Kwagatama, its like a phone number to talk with previous holder of the monkey miraculous. But for it to work, you must find a phone, which is the object of that represente the owner in question."

Xuppu finished explaining and started to look at it more precisely. He had to be honest, but it might be the best gift he ever got. "Whoa, really, thanks Xuppu".

Meanwhile, Samuel and Cerise were in La Plage, looking at the corkboard, their resheach didn't quiet progress. It had the red string across pins that hold diverse pictures of the different teenagers that are students at their school. They manage to get a lot of informations about each of them thanks to their statut at the student council, their schedule, interests, and relationships. But two persons in particular got the most info on them. Lê Chiến Kim Ature and Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

"Are you sure you haven't found anything else when you visited the Agreste" Samuel asked analysing the evidence they got so far.
"Unfortunatly, Gabriel's secretary might have deleted all the informations before the wish was made"

Samuel started to growl out of fustration "Those investigations are leading us to nothing" He walked away from the board as Cerise started to had more of the red strings, until she noticed one particular picture, it was one picture that it reuniting 3 persons, Richard Ature, Socqueline Wang and Edie Aslan-Glynn. "Maybe if instead of directly hitting out targets on the center, we should instead hitting their edges first".

Samuel turn back to the corkboard to look at the picture as a grin grown on his face, he understand what she meant and he liked that idea. "Great, I suggest that we take this in action at the opera on June 25th, 8:00PM, that would be the perfect opportunity to strick" Samuel gave her a flayer for the school play called "Verdict", a musical about a trial basically.

"Perfect" Cerise said as she was looking at the flyer than at Samuel as he explain the plan in great detail. For sure that plan will work for real this time.

It was the night of the school play, maybe the biggest school play ever. Like it wasn't a simple school play in a gymnasium, it was literally setting in the opera of Paris with a big cast of students and lots of peoples.

Ondine was waiting in front of the stairs as many peoples, parents, students and some part of the cast entered. She have been waiting for almost 15 minutes and was already expecting Kim to be late. But she heard her name being called and she immediately saw Kim running to her.
"Sorry for being late" Kim said exhausted from running "The metro broke down and I had to run all the way here".

Ondine simply smiled "Don't worry about it, the most important is that you are here." She then enter inside with Kim following her. Kim was amazed by the inside of the opera, he had never been here before but by god this is amazing. He was so busy looking around him that he forgot to look in front of him and accidendly bumped into someone, make the person drop their belonging. "Oh sorry didn't see you" He immediately apologized and knee down to help the person pick up the stuff on the ground.

"No problem, I should have pay more attention to where I looooo..." Kim and the person were picking up some of the paper when they both raise their head at the same time and they face meet, to realized that Kim is looking right now at Kenny, who just stand back to his feets with some of his stuff in his hands while looking at Kim with embarrassement.

"Oh hey Kenny" Kim said with a tones of both embarrassement and surprise "W-what are you doing here, you don't even like musical" Kim asked which seems to annoyed Kenny a bit. "Well my dad, forced me to came to support Cassandra even though she just play a background character, all because of his "Siblings must support each others" value."

Kim stand up as he took the remaining paper from the floor, he accidendly looked at one of them,... which was a drawning of his miracle alter ego and Kenny kissing. Kenny immediately took the drawning away from him while blushing even more then before. While Kim just stood there blushing by what he just saw. He knew Kenny became a fan of him after his akumatization but he didn't know to the point of having feeling for him. God he isn't gonna like it when is identity will be revealed.

Meanwhile in the dressing room, Edie was helping Zoe do her make up as they were the first to be ready for the play. They looked at Richard who was still memorising his lines and training his expression in front of a mirror as he was looking nervous, really nervous.

"Babe calm down" Edie said as they finished the makeup of Zoe "We already practice the resheal for month. Heck we even practice this morning. So no need to worry. " But their words didn't do much.

"Are you sure, I mean I did perform ballet and did 2 or 3 play on stage, but it was on a small stage with a small public, plus I was only a side characters or a minor one in said play" Richard said trying to calm himself "But here, not only did the public got bigger, that we play in one of the most famous theater in the world, but its the first time I got a major role, which that means that if I mess up one time, its over"

Zoe then get up and come to him "It won't be over, if you got that role, thats mean you are worthy enough to get it"
"I guess your right" Richard after taking a deep breath.
At this very moment Samuel entered the dressing room while hitting on the door to make a loud sound. "Curtain rise in 10 minutes, better hurry up"

With that, many of the young actors left the room, but Samuel stopped Richard from leaving "We need to talk Ature". Richard was confused but he obey as Samuel was closing the door behind him.
Richard was nervous about being in the same room as the boy that almost took his cousin's life but this same boy was way above him, he was also the one that financed the play with his dad's fortune.

"I was just coming to told everyone that it was almost the beginning but I you were kind of stressed, am I right ?" Samuel said as he took a chair and sat backward in front of Richard who didn't say a thing but simply nobs.

"Oh I get it. You have stage fright. You, the role of Lewis Alan, the protagonist" Samuel chuckle "How ironic". Richard was visibly angry by Samuel lack of empathy with his internal struggles but he didn't say a thing.
"What's wrong Richie, the cat got your tongue. Pathetic. No wonder Kim doesn't always tell you the true."

Richard's eyes widened by this respond ans he asked "W-What do you mean ?" Which Samuel smirked "Haven't you noticed that your own cousin wasn't feeling alright lately. Or the fact that he might have lied to you have about what happen and your mom planned my arrestation"

"Lie ?" Richard said surprised "But you were not innocent, you even admited yourself that you bullied him during the trial" those words make Samuel smile fall, he still remembers that day where his freedom was taking away from him all because that stupid jock couldn't take a joke, he didn't have a choice but to plead guilty or his sentence could be higher.
"Yeah, but didn't he told you that his supposed best friend was also part of the whole things"

Richard was even more shocked to learn that the very first best friend of his cousin also caused him pain for years and Kim didn't told him anything about that. But why ?
"If you ask why he didn't tell you that specific information ? Thats because he thought you wouldn't be able to protect him, and now, I know why, you are too much of a pacifist, too much of someone that won't get into a fight, too much of a kind boy" Samuel smirk came back as he describe Richard with the different adjectifs to say the same thing.

Then Samuel gets up and said to Richard to get ready and there were 5 minutes left. Once Richard was left alone in the room, he started to cry, Samuel was right, he was in part his fault if Kim didn't told the whole true, he was way too kind and its affecting the peoples he care about.

Richard tried to dry his tears, he knew he has to look great and be ready because the show can go on without him. But as he took the accessory glasses on the table, an akuma landed on them and akumatized Richard.

"Dollvett. I am Chrysalis, I see that you feel like you are failure for not being able to understand what peoples are hiding from you. Then I will give you the power infiltrat their mind and took control of their body so you could always protect them. But you must promise that you give to me and Arna, the miraculous of Ladybug and Cat Noir".

Richard close his eyes as the put the glasses on and adjusted them, as a smile creeped on his face, as the akumatization started.
"The show must go on"

A few minutes earlier, Socqueline was putting the last decorations and Sabrina was adjusting the props on the stage. They both volunteered to make the decoration, Sabrina was scared at first because of what she did last year but Socqueline understood with the help of Marinette and they worked together to create those beautifully crafted decor. At this very moment Cerise arrived on the stage and walked towards Socqueline.

"Thats is a really great job. Did you do that on your own ?" Cerise asked which Socqueline responded "Actually I got some help from Marinette and Sabrina". Cerise looked at the direction Socqueline was looking which was directly at Sabrina. She then play a fake concern expression and she then say "You forgave her pretty quickly, as I see".

Socqueline then turn to her confused "Well she has shown to have improved on her behavior and has learn the hard way that her action can hurt people. The fact that she dumped Chloé prove her point and..." She was immediately interrupted by Cerise.
"What tell that she might not be lying right ? What told you that she isn't faking everything to hide her true personality ?".

"How can you be sure of that ?" Socqueline asked which Cerise responded "Trust me, I have been victim of people like her. Pretending to be someone they are not to get on top of us and make us miserable" Those words triggered some memories in Socqueline, memories of that one vicious tougue cheerleader girl in her gymnastic class that is hurting all the other gym girls.

"All I just want is to make sure everyone is feeling safe." Cerise before she left the stage "The curtain rise in 5 minutes, better left the place for the actor".

Once Socqueline left the stage feeling disturbed and doubtful. Is it really possible that Sabrina didn't actually change or was Cerise just worried because she had suffered something in her past. All those doubts and unanwser worries were so strong that she didn't noticed the akuma that flew to her enter the screwdriver she was holding.

"Truth Speaker. This is Arna, you are filled with doubt about what could be true and is a lie that you no longer trust others. So I'm going to give the power reveal the hypocrisi in everyone, but after that, you must give Chrysalis the ladybug and cat miraculous".

Socqueline growl "No one is kept lying because the true will always triumph" She raise the screwdriver in the air and the akumatization begun.

1 minutes before the curtain rise, the audiense was chatting while some of them were waiting for the play to finally start. When the light turn off, the chatting stopped and the spectators attention is now focused on the stage, as the curtains rise and they saw the shadowy figure of a person on the stage, thinking its just the main lead.

Their shock when the lights went on.

He remembers it clearly, like it was yesterday. It wasn't something you forgot about when you are 10 and a half.

It was a sunday afternoon of summer, and he, unlike the other kids, wasn't playing outside at whatever stupid games they had in mind. Instead, he was inside the hallways, looking over them, every single boys of this hell that is called a catholic boarding school, an all-boys one, an old-school one.

The two reasons he is there is because he is paying for the sins his father commited, a single many who had so many premarital practice who many females, one of them resulted in him. The other is because his father needed to produce more of his famous wine or "the blood of the christ" like most teachers like to call, and he didn't have to take care of a bastard child in Barcelona if said child was in a school in Segovia.

All those boys, with their pure white and black uniform and could only be categorized in three different hairstyle, slicked, shaved or bowl cut, the simple fact that their brainwashed mind could find enjoyement in things like choirs, running around, playing red light, green light or simply just talking. It made him wonder how aren't they bored of doing boring things like that.

"Señorito Samuel Gara!" He heard the voice of the school principal calling him to enter his office. He almost forgot why he was here in the first place. Without protest, he enter the office which was as sickly religious as the rest of the school.

The principal, señor Santiago adjusted his glasses, looked at a report before he started to speak "This is the 4th time this week that you are send in my office. What is it this time ?"

"I just didn't you could get in trouble for telling a sister the true." Samuel said which seems to annoyed señor Santiago even more "You called sister Catalina an hag and an other word that should not be said under the eyes of god."

"Isn't it the true ?" Samuel smirk as the principal sigh, it wasn't the worst he have done. Last wednesday, he put the sacramental wine into the school's laundry machin and only yesterday he skipped the choir and almost made it outside before he go caught.

"Samuel, we really don't know what to do with you, no punishement seems to make you learn the lesson and its a waste that you behave like that." Señor Santiago said "You are the head of your class, you have the best grades of all the students of this establissement and yet your behavior is one of the worst of this school"

The worst of the school? Worst than Emiliano Calderón De la Cruz, that 9th grader who as misbeahaving as him and even before he arrived at this school. At least he don't sneak out at night to do whatever the bad boys he saw in this old movies where doing.

At this moment, the bell ring"We won't have much time, so for now, as a punishement, you will have to clean every tables in the cafeteria after lunch. And don't you dare writting on them after."

And it was what he doing right now under the eyes of the nun he insulted earlier. His fingers were getting red and wrinkled from the use of soap and water and the effort to scrub. But he managed to finish, after 3 hours.

He left to go to the dormitory, a few other students were here, taking a nap, playing board games or simply reading. Or they were like Emiliano, sitting on his bed and looking at Samuel who was preparing for the showers with a smirk.
"They should really hired you as the janitor, uno nombre" Emiliano said as he used gel to slick his curly hair.

"And you should really learn to shut the fuck up" Samuel responded which make Emiliano laugh "Nice attempts at humor. I was lucky that my parents couldn't come get me this week-end so I could heard it".
Samuel growl out of annoyence, mocking him on the fact that he is a bastard child and bragging that his stupid parents cared enough for his stupid ass that they could take him every week-end unlike Samuel's father. It was two of his favorite mockery, how original.

This school basically suck. The classes were boring, the mandatory choirs sessions and just the staff being annoying as hell. Not counting the simple existance of Emiliano. The only good thing about this school are the school trips in various museum, his favorite one so far was at the Reina Sofia museo, his favorites pieces were the self portrait of Alfonso Ponce de León and the projection of "Un chien andalou". Well he said its his two favorite but it only made him feel as much emotions as looking at a rock.

During Samuel 5th grade year, a rather interesting turn of event happened. It happened one night, 2 months before the end of school to be exact. Samuel woke up to see the window of the dormitory open, he saw Emiliano's bed empty, as expected and no other boys in the room's seems to be aware of anything. Unlike other time, Samuel decided to leave his bed, pass through the window and did a precise parkour chose on the school's roofs and manage to get outside the school. It was harder since he was smaller.

Samuel goes through the dark, empty kilometer of field that separated his position from the school until it was no longer in his field of vision. After 20 long minutes of walking, he finally made it to an abandonned house in the middle of nowhere, inside could be heard the voice of Emiliano laughing and talking to himself.

Without hesitation, Samuel entered the house and is immediately faced with Emiliano, surrounded by unopened can of beer and trying to lit up a cigarette. That one didn't noticed him until his full name was called in which responded "Oh well, isn't uno nombre. Couldn't get to sleep I guess" Emiliano seemed... more relaxed than usual, probably the alcohol.

"So this is where you go when you run away from the school. Tsh, I'm quite disappointed, I exepted somewhere more trendy like a nightclub. But I guess that place and you have a lot in common." Samuel said which made Emiliano confused "What do you mean "a lot in common"?"

"Both of have holes somewhere, this house in its walls and floor and you in your brain"

In less of a second after his declaration, Samuel's collar was grabbed by Emiliano fist, that one now showed a rageful expression in his face.
"Say that again !" He pull out a butterfly knife, the black handle had some design of white spine and red spider web and pentagrams. Emiliano put the blade under the younger boy's throat but only made him chuckle.

"Go on" He playfull said "What are you waiting for ? Its not like you are performing what seems to be an act of 2nd degree murder in an abandonned place littered with cigarette and beer can, using a cold weapon with the Devil marks on it."

His words only seems to angered Emiliano even more than before, the blade was closer to his throat. Samuel realized that it was no time for jocking and he must think fast before he end up looking like just got offered to Satan.

Without a second tought, he kicked Emiliano in the tibia which made the teenager scream in pain as he let down Samuel and his knife and the kid catched in the fall. He then run upstair as Emiliano followed with a feral rage "COME BACK HERE, CABRÓN !!!"

The chase ended in the attic and it ended in a fight of who would get the knife. Samuel accidendly cut his left pinky in the act, Emiliano got a cut in the face and the floor was creaking. Suddenly in a rush of adrenaline, Samuel pushed Emiliano with all his strength and that one fall through a hole on the floor and .....

BAM

Samuel slowly looked through the hole Emiliano fall from, his body was laying on the ground floor, a pool of blood forming around the boy's head, his eyes were wide open and fixing the ceiling, blood dripping from his nose and mouth and even a bit from his eyes along with tears. His whole body was motionless

At this moment, Samuel felt... a flicker of satisfaction, not guilt, fear or even disgust, but true satisfaction of having defeated someone who would often mock him and making him shut up once and for all. He walked down and looked with a lack a remose the body before smirking.
"Guess I am stronger than you, cerebro cero".

Samuel than took a can of beer and started to pour it all over the boy's body before repeating the action 4 or 7 times. Emiliano's eyes were moving from Samuel to the can he dropped on the floor, he couldn't move his head or scream for help or show an emotion of fear. At this moment, Samuel took the lighter that was supposed to lit up the cigarette and once the tiny flame appeared, he let the lighter fall and the flame consumed Emiliano.

Samuel underestimated the strength of the flames as he get severely burn on the right forearm and the surrounding as got consumed by the flames. Samuel immediately run out of the house and sat down a few meters away from the house and simply watched as the flames danced inside and outside the infrastructure. That's for sure, he left no finger print behind, if they find his body, they would just think he got drunk, spilled some beer on him and then try to lit a cigarette that fell from his mouth. Probably.

Samuel looked at the reflection of blade, his eyes were empty, the satisfaction was already gone and now... Maybe he will have to steal some bandage in the infirmary before going back to the dormitory. Good thing that the school's uniforms had long sleeves.

Its been a month since the incident and luckily, Samuel never got suspected of anything and he discoverd that he had a talent for hiding his recent burn scars. And by chance, he has learn that he and his father will move to France for work, so he won't have to worry about being searched by the autorities. One last thing to do, attending the funeral of Emiliano, with his father.

The funeral was somber, all of the school's students and staff were present along with the brainless's family. There were crying, hugging each others or were just uncomfortable with the atmosphere. For Samuel, it was a spectacle and a fascination, he didn't understand how they can fill so much emotions over someone that did nothing much but lose his conscience.

The funeral were fast, and pretty boring, fortunatly it was time for them to go. His father was waiting for him near the black limo, his umbrela was covering his face, all that Samuel could see was his red and black suit.

And the next thing Samuel remembers, he was in the bathroom of train, staring at the scar on his forearm than a the butterfly knife he manage to smuggle in with no problem. Guess he will have to wear long sleeves for the rest of his life. He pull up the sleeves of his hoodie and used the knife on a makeshift napking doll that his supposed to look like his father. He stab it with no emotions to it before he throw it in the toilet and flush, as he put the knife in an hidden compartiment in his shoe.

He walked back to his sit in business class where his father was talking to someone on the phone in catalan and getting served champagne.
"Anything else Mr. Alejandro ?" The steward asked in which Alejandro responded with a negative head shake.

After a few minutes, the business man ended the call and looked directly at his son, the dim light barely illuminating his face hidden in the shadow, it was already dark outside and they were only at an hour from Paris.
"Once we are arriving, I'm bringing you immediately to your new boarding school, this one isn't a traditional one but it will do just fine". He take a sip from his flute "and I expect a better behavior from you. So don't be a disappointment again, will you."

Samuel simply glared at him, not much anger was visible on his face. He remembers clearly Emiliano's dead body and the small feeling of power he got from it. It didn't bother him to kill someone else if its mean to feel it again.
