I'm requesting help from any and all who are familiar with both the Gf and Mlp fandoms. I'm working on developing a story and have hit some roadblocks. Unfortunately, all of my friends either know one or the other fandom, and cannot help me complete the outline.

I'm both a bigtime fan of both shows, although I'm not too familiar with the mlp fanbase and trends, I am all caught up in latest episodes! -and I think at a glance of my works you can tell how much I care for Gravity Falls... if you need help, give me some info and I'll see what I can do! :D

  Well, I'm mixing up the two fandoms; placing characters from Gf into Mlp roles. I've figured out quite a lot, like appearances, some roles, and a bit of plot.
  However, the gist of my problem is rounding out what I've already figured out plot-wise, as well as needing a second opinion on how I've done on the characters (like appearances and powers matching up with personalities).
  'Cause I've read similar works, and I'm trying to find a way that will both reflects the original plot of Mlp, as well as the characters from Gf's true personalities; all the while putting my own personal spin on things.

    I know a lot about Mlp, I should add, but I'm not caught up all the way like I am in Gravity Falls. And I've already thought of some twists that have made me gasp and laugh at loud from the unexpected glee and excitement of the brilliance of the moment.
    If you've seen the first two episodes (as in ever) then you're pretty good with helping me figure this out, since that's where I plan to open this whole tale up at. And besides that, I need to figure out this timeline thing that includes ages and a few mentioned things that started in the past, from both Mlp and Gf side of things. Both are entwined, and therefore are warped slightly to fit within the parameters of this reformed combining of worlds.
    Also, I might not reply until tomorrow, since it's family movie night. So . . . just a heads up. I might go take a peek at your stories later! Perhaps you can take a look at mine. Have a good night. {=^_^=}

        It's kay, it's kay, don't even sweat it dude. Hm . . . I have literally no idea where to start with this. Is there a way to trade files on this site???
        And on a slightly different topic; what is your opinion thus far of "Wolfish Whims"?? What could I do to add to or improve upon it? And what was the most shocking moment you read?

        TBH, it's been a while and I have a terrible memory. If memory serves me right, it was pretty good. Except that I'm not used to your writing style. (I think?)
        I think the part that got me on the edge of my seat was the wolf thoughts. Just the differences and similarities between the two minds (in one) was unsettling in an amazing way.
        I HOPE I'M NOT CONFUSING THIS WITH SOMETHING ELSE. IF I AM I'M REALLY SORRY.

        Hm, my writing style? Haven't heard that one before. (not sarcasm; I wouldn't know it if it bit me on the beeswax) What about my writing style is different from others you have seen before?
        Thank you so much! Yeah, admittedly, if memory serves, the whole wolf/human thing had been a bit high on my list of priorities. "How to show that it;s a wolf, yet still a person underneath??", yet at the same time trying to display the distinctions.
        Remember when Stanley was helping Ford'squared set up traps to try and catch the werewolf in question?? Well, some part of Wolf!Stanley remembered what Human!Stanley had seen, and was able to set off the traps without actually being trapped himself, and also why they couldn't replicate the same setup for a trap, either.
        I guess the hard part was setting it up so at first it seemed like Stan and the werewolf weren't connected, hint heavily at it, then outright saying it. Sad to say, my original goal of hinting was to be more subtle, but, well . . . .I either drop hints that are way to subtle or way to obvious. There's very little in between.
        . . . . .jeeze, ramble much?? Sorry 'bout that.

        Wow, those hints, I agree. Hints are hard to drop. ;P. As for the writing style, I'm not sure... I think it's the position of certain words and such. Choice of adjectives and anticipation, uhm, just the general things, It's hard to describe writing style. '^-^
        And rambling is okay. Don't worry about it, I do it all the time.

Not too sure if this would help but...
What if Gravity Falls was located in Equestria and essentially, replaced, Ponyville as the main setting? Like Dipper is Twilight, Mable is Pinkie and some of the other main, main cast (Soos, Wendy, etc.) were the other Elements? Wendy is Honesty and Soos is either Kindness of Generosity.
You could combine elements and scenarios (episodes) from both fandoms, intermixing them or ponyfying GF episodes and just having the ponyfied GF characters replace the ponies for MLP episodes (or a mixture of both these ideas). Or Ponyville exists, it just has some GF incorporated into it - like the Shack, Greasy's Dinner, Ford's Bunker, etc. etc. How The Shack operates in a world were supernatural and the unexplained are an everyday occurrence, I don't know. Maybe Stan can say some of the things in there are from Ever Free (even if most - like 97% of the attractions - aren't really from Ever Free). Stan's Special Talent would be con-artistry no doubt.
Obviously some things will be different right off the bat - like both Dipper and Mable living in Cantorlot and both Dipper and Mable being sent to live in Ponyville and them living with Stan instead of on their own in a library or cake shop - but some things will stay the same - like Wendy and Soos working for Stan in The Shack. That is, if you decide to combine Ponyville and GF and not just have a pony version of GF exist in Equestria. Maybe GF exists on the other side of Ever Free?
