Chemistry sucked and Alex had originally asked Liz to help him in it. She told him that she would but she also pointed out that Michael Guerin was better than she was in chemistry class and had been helping Max Evans. Alex liked Max and he thinks Max's crush on Liz was cute.. but Alex honestly wondered why Liz hadn't figured it out yet. But Alex took Liz's advice and asked Guerin to help him.And other then seeming surprised alex was asking him, Guerin agreed and Alex was relieved because his dad had been saying he'd be getting Alex a tutor if his average didn't come up. and it was his chemistry grade that was bringing his over all average down.

One of the reasons Alex chemistry grade was so bad was because Aaron Robinson was an ass. And a bully Alex wasn't sure how he had found out Alex was gay. But Robinson had told anyone who would listen that Alex was gay. This wasn't exactly the way Alex wanted to come out. Alex's friends knew already knew he was gay. And just didn't treat him any different well except Kyle, but Kyle had been kind of a jerk for the better part of a year already. He figures Kyle had figured that he was gay awhile back.

Alex just wishes that Robinson had picked another day to be a asshole. He had caught Alex after class when Alex was supposed to meet Michael to go over their notes.Robinson had been particularly nasty. Then he heard a slam and they looked up and saw Michael standing by the teachers desk, and Robinson being the coward he was just left. Alex had a hard time looking at Michael but Michael walked over to Alex and put a hand on his shoulder. And simply asked him if he was okay Alex had a hard time looking at Michael but he nodded. Alex had been relieved at the small smile that he did see on Michael's lips when he looked up. And made his already handsome facelight up and Alex was transfixed for a moment.

And Alex feels a fluttering feeling in his chest .." Uh ...thank you for that..." He managed hoping he wasn't blushing. Guerin watched him for a moment and nodded." No problem. I hate guys like him.." he says looking back toward the door. He pulled his backpack off his shoulder. " Sorry I had to go to my locker to grab my notes. " Alex just nodded relieved that Michael had shown up when he had. "Thanks for helping with clas too." Michael smiled again a bright and beautiful smile tha caused that fluttering feeling." Again no problem can't have you have a low average now can we ?" Alex is fairly sure he's blushing now because he can feel the heat in his face."No that's not good. "He agreed smiling back.

Michael became his study partner for chemistry and Alex is glad. Because his average came up andhe's s he's doing well overall after that. Might never be a straight A student in chemistry but with Alex's over allaverage Also came up and his father had stopped bitching. Plus Alex got to spend time with Michael and that was his favorite part of the day. And he found that he had a lot in common with Michael. And as the year went on Alex had to admit at least to himself at he had a crush on Michael.There was just something about Michael and the more he knew the golden eyed boy the harder Alex fell.

Alex watched as Max slung an arm around Guerin's shoulders as they walked into the Crashdown. Alex wasn't stalking he really wasn't. He had to go to the Crashdown anyway to meet with Liz..it was just a lucky coincidence that Michael would be there. Alex has been nursing a crush on Michael Guerin for over a year now. Ever since Guerin had partnered with him in chemistry and hadnt shied away from him after figuring out that Alex was gay. Alex wasn't sure what was going on between them but sometimes when Michael looked at Alex. He thinks that Michael might feel the same others Alex wonders if it's just his imagination.

Max sees him and waves him over then slides over as Alex aproched the table . The way that Michael looks at him always makes him warm. He feels a pull toward Michael and he can't explain it." Hey guys ." He nodded at them as he slides into the booth beside Max. "Hey Alex. " Michael says with a smile that makes Alex's heart flutter.

" Hey Alex..you meeting Liz?" Max asked shooting a look to Liz as and Rosa who getting the orders for other tables."Yeah. She needs some help in French, I took it last year and became fluent in both speaking and writing it." He explains trying not to stare at Michaels pretty eyes.

Max nodded indicating that he had surmised that. Alex could see Liz was heading their way. And Alex had to fight the urge to slide down in the booth when he saw Liz s knowing look."Hey guys, what are you having today the usual?" She says cheerfully to Max shooting Michael a smile."Yeah.. give me a Shatner Shake today otherwise we'll have our usual.." Max says. She looks to Alex did you want something before we got started. He nods" My usual too..but a double chocolate shake today thanks."

They talk about their classes and other things until the orders arrive. He can't help but look Michael's way

Later

"Alex your such a sap you should ask him out. I've been watching you pine over him for over a year now. Enough is enough Alex..just ask him out already." She says over her book. But he wondered when she was going to say something they had been working for the better part of an hour. He winces "Is it really that bad?" Hoping it wasn't too obvious that he has a thing for Michael. She laughs "It's pretty bad." He groans and collapses back onto her bed. " ..don't tell me that, I like living in denial." To which she laughed harder and he glares at her.He sniffed and set up rolling his eyes. " Yeah I'm sure that would go over well just ask him out it's that easy Liz ..I'm not even sure he likes me." Hating this self-conscious tone in his own voice .

"Your joking right?" Liz stopped long enough to give him a stern look. Alex my dad noticed the way Michael looks at you come on. How do you not know that...God. Look he looks at you like you're the center of the universe literally. I think it's safe to say he'd say yes."

Alex looks at her like she's crazy but she doesn't relent. He bites his lip.' Are you serious?" He finally asked. "Yes Alex I'm serious. Look he likes you it's clear to see he gets the same sappy look you do, and It's worse when he thinks you're not looking."

Alex has a hard time believing Liz but can feel hope rising in him. He had been trying not to get his hopes up that Michael felt the same way he did. It was a fragile thing but feels it rising in him all the same.

The next day he huddled down in his jacket and waited for Michael outside the side door that Michael usually came in through. It was still early and the last bell hadn't rung yet. Alex has been waiting there for a few minutes already when he finally saw Michael coming up the side walk. Michael smiles when he sees him "Since when do you wait for me?" He asked in a teasing tone ." Not that I mind but you look cold." Michael says his eyes slides over Alex huddled form. Alex blushes "It's not so bad I wanted to ask you something." To which Michael looks at him with an encouraging smile, Alex appreciates it . It gives him the courage to blurt out." Would you go out for coffee with me or dinner or anything?" Michael gives him a sweet smile " Yeah I'd like that. "And Alex feels a heady sense of relief

"Babe stop fussing. it'll be fine ..look we're rooming together and everything. " Michael pulls Alex into his arms Alex went willingly.And cuddeled closer as Michael kisses his temple. Alex felt himself relaxing and the tension bleeding from him. He'd been worried about them going away to college even though he still had another year, because even though Michael got a full ride and Alex because he had pulled up his grades engough that
he started getting student grants. And was saving money from his cause his grants probably wouldn't pay it all and his dad was paying his tuition for for the first four years nothing more. Because Jesse was still angry that Alex wasn't enlisting. But still covered Alex's tuition. Leaving alex to figure out how to buy books and living expenses which some of his grants were supposed cover but it didn't give a lot for books. So Alex had a job and had had been saving but it'd tight, so he an Michael we're wait to enroll next year. He was worried about not getting a room together, and about not getting classes that coalesced, what if they never saw each other? Alex sighs as they cuddled in the back of Michael's truck.He knows it's pointless to worry about things like this but he can't help himself. He was finally with Michael and didn't want to leave anything to chance.

"It's going to be fine."Michael soothes. Alex shivers as Michael kisses his throat and he gasped as Michael nibbled along his jaw." Worry about tomorrow later." Kiss.."... focus on me now."Michael smiles as Alex kisses him and pushed him back onto the sleeping bag. "Now you're getting it. "Michael chuckles as Alex grinds down on him. Well he's distracted now . ....................

Alex was relieved to be away from Roswell even though he missed Maria. He and Michael were settling into a rhythm here. His computer engineering class and music classes were amazing. And Michael was taking mechanical engineering and computer engineering so some of their classes were at the same time.

Michael had gotten free housing through his scholarship so instead of rooming in the dorms like they were going to. They wound up sharing a small apartment just off campus. He loved having time with Michael as he got used to college. He got a job at a coffee shop not far from their building and Michael had a job a local outlet store both pay decent and with their grants they were doing okay. And Alex was looking forward to writing software or possibly coding. Alex also still pursued his music by playing at a campus bar . Even though his dad hated it he still did a couple sets a week and made pretty good. And got quite a reputation on campus... Alex's mom put her foot down.

Michael was also interested mechanical engineering fixing cars and tinkering in Michael was happiest pulling things apart and fixing things.Michael also came out and supported Alex's forays into music he was there at every show. Alex just loves playing his guitar and writing his songs, he didn't really care if he ever got famous it was about the artistic expression for him.

Alex loves the old cabin that Jim had given them when they got back from college. But sometimes Alex misses their old apartment in Albuquerque and their friends from campus. But it was nice having everything close by and visiting Max and Isobel as often as possible. Alex knows that Michael had missed them wnd Isobel while they were going to school in Albuquerque.

Even Greg had come to visit Alex from time to time now he and Alex were getting closer.

" Hey Max and Liz will be here soon." Michael says encircling Alex fron behind. Bringing him back to the Here and Now as Alex stirred the pot of sauce." Good. The food is almost done and and Alex will be glad to see their friends again.After all Liz had just come back to town a few weeks ago and she and Max are dating now haven't got to know each other as they both met up quite a bit visiting Michael and Alex. After a few conversations like that max and liz got to know each other better. in a way that Alex always thought that they might if they just had time.. and it was cute just like he had thought. Both tentative friendship and then now they're dating" Good dinner is almost done ." He says leaning back into Michael's arms for just a moment. But then they hear someone knocking on the front door. And Alex sighs and was just a little put out about Michael having to move. " ..that's them you'd better go answer it." Alex says giving his boyfriend a quick peck on the lips over his shoulder. Stirring his sauce. And hear's Michael muttering -yeah, yeah- and then- hold on Max. Michael says louder as he goes to answer the front door. "
Alex smiled as he hears Liz's cheerful voice"Hey Mikey!" and Michael laughing and Alex knows he's home.

Post season 3 disregards season 4. Michael misses his target in the timeline and winds up in a later time than he thought he would and he has to adapt.Late season 1 setting post being stabbed by Noah . No warning really just fluff Noah did all the hurting already.

It was Isobel's idea actually. "Just imagine if you could go back and change everything...would you?" She asked him one day in his work shop.

Michael holds his side that still twinges sometimes. The memory of his side being stapled together and memory of the blood and wasted time that he and Alex could have been together. Not just ten years prior the years that followed Max's death and so many other things that he would change if he could.

So yeah Michael would. But Michael knows Isobel doesn't need his answer she already sees it in his aura or whatever.

...

It was supposed to be the day he was talking to Alex about being an alien but something happened and he missed his mark. Instead Michael's standing outside his Airstream covered in his own blood.. with a sense of Max still buzzing around in his head.

Michael stills himself with a deep breath and opened the door. And Michael knew he didn't have time for this right now he has to help Max and Isobel. But he isn't going to rush Alex yet he has a few moments. Michael pushes forwarded searching for another shirt as he did the last time being covered in his own blood wasn't fun but there's no time for a shower. Michael catches movement out of the corner of his eye." Is that blood ?" Alex asked in alarmed. Crossing the short distance to Michael.

Michael closed his eyes " Yeah but. I'm fine. What are you doing here?" he asked as he pulls on a shirt. Alex seemed distracted and Michael doesn't think it's his abs that are doing it."

"Really I'm fine. " he says letting Alex look at his whole self. Finally Alex seemed okay to continue. " What are you doing here Alex ...not that I mind but it's a bad time. " Alex takes a breath and stepped closer.

"I wanted to see you, I've been setting and thinking about us. And I wanted to talk." Michael hadn't forgotten about this conversation. But it still surprises him..the softness of Alex tone hardend a little like he was building courage.." I shouldn't have left you behind when I enlisted. " Alex pauses and takes a breath looks down ..then back to Michael. Alex's eyes imploring Michael to listen, .

And he's so beautiful and god Michael loves him so much.He loved Alex's courage to fight for them. And unlike before Michael actually heard him this time. Before Michael had been so resigned that they weren't going to work out because they never worked out. But now Michael knows that they're going to work out he and Alex had a destiny together.. Michael knows that Alex needs to get theses feelings and regrets out Michael knows his own Alex in his timeline still struggled over getting it out. And he would never deny Alex that. So he listens. " I could stand here and tell you I didn't want to go.. but I did. After what my dad did to you ... I wanted to be the kind of person that won battles.. It felt good. But now I look in the mirror and I don't even see myself sometimes."Alex takes another breath. "I see my father..I'm still fighting his battles." And he stepped forward. And Michael can't push him away he feels a tingling warning that Max needs him. But Alex is getting closer and he blocked it for the time being.

" Alex..hey no.." he says cupping Alex's face feeling Alex go still. " It's not your fault. My hand .. Caulfield none of it." Alex closed his eyes for a second but leaned in to the touch. " And I can't say that I'm glad you left but I'm glad that you were safe and away from your father. But Alex you don't have to be sorry for things that are out of your control." He says gently his thumbs stroking Alex's cheeks. Alex eyes darts down to Michael's lips and Michael knows it's not a good idea because Alex is vulnerable right now. And he knows Max needs him but so does Alex.There was an ache to reach out.. to show Alex that he's there and isn't going anywhere. Alex needed the contact and the assurance so after waiting a beat and giving Alex a chance to pull away and Michael kisses him and pulls Alex into his arms and he feels Alex shiver as Michael kisses him again .

Michael feels the ache in his chest lessen and Alex kisses him back just as gently cupping Michael's face in his hands. Michael wanted to say' I love you and I need you.' And 'I missed you..this.' but he doesn't he shows Alex instead with soft kisses and gentle touchs. And he feels Alex's earlier tension bleed away and he relaxes in Michael's arms.

And Michael wants to hold on to this moment and just stay here with Alex. He takes control kissing Alex again and again. Then he pulled back slightly just restting his forhead against Alex's mirroring what he had done months ago. Michael knows it's one Alex's of fondest memories. He told Michael it had gotten him through some the hardest times while they were apart. Alex sighed and his eyes are closed and Alex's face reflected a peace Michael's sure Alex doesn't get often. But Michael's going to make sure that from now on that changes. He let's them both have this for alittle longer

They stopped Noah again and found Rosa again but this time Michael talked Max into letting Michael heal her. And after Michael brought her back between stopping Noah it didn't hurt Max's heart. . Michael told Max they could do it together.. and he had Max's instructions on how to do it after all there was no limit to Michael's powers. And Michael wasn't going to lose Max again. And after watching the heartwarming scene between Rosa and Liz ...Michael decides to head back to the Airstream. He finds Alex wating. And he's wearing a familiar black jacket that Michael hadn't realize that Alex had owned that jacket back then.. but Michael admits that the months after Max died were pretty foggy...so Michael pushed away those dark memories.

Alex looks good. And so beautiful it makes Michael's chest ache.

But then again Alex was always beautiful..Alex had a glow that takes Michael's breath away. Michael recognizes the jacket but not red shirt. Alex looks at Michael with a warm open smile that makes Michael smile in return ..and it makes Michael feel 17 again and the future is full of possibilities.

Warmth...love ...home.

" Hey." He says taking Alex's face in his hands and kisses him. It was meant to be a gentle kiss of reassurance but Michael lets it linger. He feels Alex's hope and happiness..given to him like a precious gift. And Michael pulls Alex into his arms. And gently pushes his feelings of love and happiness forward so Alex will know Michael isn't going anywhere. Alex gasps against his lips ." Michael ...how did you?" Shock and wonder at feeling Michael but not fear.

That's good..Michael didn't want to scare Alex. " I'll explain it later I promise there's a lot to talk about. " He smiles kissing Alex's temple. Alex sighs "Yeah..we got a lot to talk about. 'He says taking Michael's unscarred hand. Michael wasn't even sure that Alex had noticed but apparently he had.

Time travel aside...he had alot to tell Alex.

Please note this is time travel is a Fix-It to go back and change the things that did happen that Michael didn't like but also to relive and repair the damage. So no he won't be going back to his time besides it's only a few years difference. And I may actually do more than one of these I do like the concept of time travel. Right up there with psychic or Clairvoyant Michael.😀

Michael and Alex get to know each other for the first time socially even though they've known each other for years.

Also please note I'm still picking my way through my smaller stories.And I'm trying to edit them for them grammar mistakes or spelling(typos) anything like that.

Alex sat in the lunchroom hating his life.

High School sucked and there wasn't just because he was the gay goth kid, or a gay goth kid that had just been outed by his so-called ex- bestfriend.

"Thanks again Kyle ' Alex thinks angerly as he sat with Maria and Liz eating his lunch. No schoool just sucked in general. Alex is toying with his lunch and by now just pushing food around , and pretending not to people watch. It was a necessary for the recently outed he thinks bitterly. Alex had to know who'd likely give him trouble later that day. It was around this time that his eyes landed on Michael Guerin. Alex feels himself blush as the boy eyes met Alex's. Alex reminds himself he's supposed to be the stoic goth kid and forces himself not to look away.then Max Evans thankfully pushes in front of Michael and brakes the trance.And Alex feels like he can breathe again.

Michael had always struck Alex as the loner type despite his friendship with Max and Isobel Evans. And Alex was still trying to figure that friendship out because Michael seems to have very little in common with the Evans twins. But to Alex's knowledge they had been friends since Michael had come back around the age of 12 after being transferred back from a group home and albuquerque.

And Michael gave him hope that people could be good the few times that they had interacted since Alex has been outed Michael hasn't treated Alex any differently than he did before. Even after the rumors started to spread about Alex and every guy he was seen talking to. And Alex had lost most of his so-called friends. Who had distanced themselves from Alex after the rumor started and he was outed.

But people like Michael always surprised him because Alex's closest friends like Maria and Liz were there for him still and he was so grateful for their support. After all they had been there when Alex needed them the most. And Michael still gave Alex hope because he would still meet Alex's eye's and Michael would still nod hello, and he would still work with Alex when he was assigned to. But Michael had also volunteered a few times to work on projects with Alex when he saw Alex didn't have a partner. Although that was last month and Alex hasn't seen Michael a lot since then, but Alex had music class at the end of the day so he didn't see a lot of people.

Alex works up the courage to look back in Michael's direction,after a few minutes of pretending to talk to his friends and finish his lunch. Michael caught him staring at him from across the room and Alex had been caught staring at Michael before. And Alex had always felt such an intense pull toward the other boy,was no other way to describe it. And just like before it was as if Michael was daring him to look away first, the intensity of those beautiful golden eyes made something twist in Alex just like before. And Alex had admit it to himself now that he was developing serious crush on their high school loner. Shit. Alex realized that it was a lot deeper and more intense than most of his crushes that he had had before. Even with Andrew it took months before he realized how much you really like the other boy. But this it was as if his whole world shifted. Thinking that he liked a boy for admittedly years because Alex thinks he's cute is one thing but this was a lot more intense.

He sees Michael's lips form a slow smile and feels a warmth flood his chest." Oh God. Please tell me that you're not staring at Guerin again." Maria's annoyed voice breaks into his train of thought. And Alex hears Liz come to his defense"Oh come on Maria it's cute." Maria snorts "It's not cute.. it's disgusting." she says".. all the pining." she complains. Alex huffs" I don't pine." He tries to go for annoyed but it kind of falls short and Alex feels like he's failing miserably. And it probably sounds like whining. And Maria and liz mean well, Alex knows they do and after Andrew Alex supposes the concern is warranted. And their concerns are valid sometimes because they didn't like Andrew and it turned out that they were right about him. But their teasing over the thing with Michael was annoying.

"Oh stop it Maria their cute and Alex has had a crush on Michael since middle-school so this is not new." He broke his staring match to glare at Liz. Who gave him a small knowing smile. "I have not "he says huffing annoyed it being called out and annoyed at losing the staering contest. "Maybe since freshman year but not since middle-school.." he corrects her and okay maybe someone's thinking someone's cute for years is weird.. but it's not the same thing as having a crush on them remembering his earlier thoughts. It's not his fault that Michael seems to get hotter when they got to highschool. And those curls damn Alex just wants to run his hands through those curls. "You're doing it again." Liz teases him breaking him out of his thoughts. And he glares at her and puts a fork full of now cold peas in his mouth.

When Alex looks back at Michael's table Michael and his friends are gone and Alex feels disappointment. One day he was going to have to work up the courage to talk to Michael, not just a- hey how's it going?- because he and Max were talking and Michael happened to walk in.

One day maybe he'd be brave enough to maybe ask Michael out.

But but as it turns out Michael winds up talking to him. Michael corners him after chem class one day.

Alex is so not ready for it.

"Hey Alex can I talk to you a minute?" Fuck he's pretty when he smiles. Alex finds it hard to find words at that particular moment but he does manage a jerky nod though. And takes the backpack that he had just swung across his shoulder off and sat it in the seat he had just vacated." You know I've been meaning to ask you something since we used to take calculus together and you used to let me use your notes."Michael starts his smile not fading. Wait calculus that was 2 years ago.. he feels his stomach flutter at the memory of the other boy pressing closer to him. To look at his notes of course.. calculus was a highly distracting class that year. It's a wonder that Alex kept such good grades in it, but come to think of it he never really thought Michael ever had a hard time with math before that. He feels his eyes narrow with suspicion that maybe it was just an excuse to get close to Alex..and that makes Alex feel warm and fuzzy.

"Yeah, you didn't seem to need much help before that but I was glad to help." Michael blushes." Yeah I kind of kept falling asleep in class.. thanks for the notes it helped a lot." Alex doesn't really remember that but to be honest it's hard to remember every class he had in the last 2 years. "You wanted to ask me something he prompts the blushing boy.

' Yeah. I see you sitting alone atfer school sometimes ” he continues “but I’ve never really been able to bring myself to come over and say hi…” By now there is no chem class there's only Michael – a fire could break out around them and Alex wouldn't care . He leans in a little closer to Michael's his cologne or whatever encapsulates Alex.. and Michael's smile sent jolt through his body.but but also to his groin as well. Michael's pretty golden eyes make Alex shiver with want..

Oh..no he's in so much trouble here.

"Well" Alex manages his voice thankfully not embarrassing him. But It's hard to sound cool or detached or uninterested when those soft eyes were looking at him like that.He's fairly sure that his ears are red now." I sometimes see you too Guerin.” Michael looks pleased and frustrated all at the same time. It’s fucking frustrating as hell because Alex just can’t understand why Michael would wan to hang out after school did he like Alex? Alex was nervous with anticipation but also fear after the rumor started to spread he had been mostly ignored, cast aside...like just damaged goods. or out and out bullied by Kyle and his jock friends. Alex had rather be left alone these days. But the soft look that Michael was giving him made him feel braver. And the fact that Michael hadn't treated him any differently since the rumors started to spread.. he reminded himself that Michael hadn't been like everyone else.

And certainly nothing like Andrew thankfully.

He Shrugged "I suppose if you wanted to hang out after school that would be cool." Alex finally feels brave enough to say. Michael's eyes go wide and a smile widens. Like Alex had surprised him. Good he thinks it's nice seeing the surprise on the other boy's face..and that smile. It wasn't much that Alex wouldn't do to keep Michael smiling at him like that. Alex loves that smile it warmed him through and through and he felt happiness well up inside of him.

" Yeah. That sounds good maybe we can go to the crash down and talk or just hang." Michael suggests. And Alex loves the idea, he loves the thought of being seen with Michael talking to Michael in public. He used to watch Michael and his friends sitting in a booth at the crashdown feeling jealous that he couldn't sit down and talk to Michael, engage in banter with him as Max or Isobel could." I'd like that ."

Michael smiles again and Alex wants to kiss him.

Oh yeah. He he's crushing on Michael pretty hard, but at this point he can't find it and himself to care. Michael gives him another smile and says see you after school. And out the door he goes leaving Alex to figure out how to get to his next class in time. Especially since he had a noticeable problem he grabs his bag and holds it in front of him until he gets to his next class. Later

He sees Michael leaning on his truck as he makes it to the parking lot, Alex feels nervous and excited at the same time." "Hey "he says to get Michael's attention. A warm smile crosses the other boys face." Hey. Are you ready I thought you had practice today." Alex feels warmed that Michael knew that. " Nah. Mr Arnold had to leave early, he had a dentist appointment apparently."

."Okay ...then are you hungry still? wanna go to the Crashdown? I mean we can go to the new Mexican restaurant if you like?" Oh this was sounding like a date . Alex feels a another jolt of nervous excitement at the thought. "Yeah I'm hungry and the Crashdown's good. We can try the new place another time." He says hoping he wasn't missreading things. Michael nods " sounds good ." He says as they got into the truck and Alex let his backpack slide to the wheel well beside his feet.

It was a relatively short distance it seemed that the Crashdown was close to a lot of the places in town. After school the place was usually packed but today the crowd was a little bit thinner thankfully and Michael's favorite table seem to be open. So they sat in back and started talking about their order.And decided before Arturo came around to take the order. After some shakes and a number two on the menu for both of them. they had an easy conversation..they talked about stuff movies music and Alex's guitar.

And Alex found out Michael played as well. And Alex offered to teach Michael how to play a song they both liked. Michael seemed flushed and his eyes shined as he nodded. And it made Alex feel warm.. as he smiled back at the other boy.

Their orders arrived and they tucked into their food hungry teens and all. Alex really enjoyed the new shake it was a chocolate-mocha Alex would have to remember to tell Liz how much he liked it he knows it was her idea.

"So uh since it's the weekend I was wondering if you'd like to see a movie or something?" Alex manages to ask before he lost his nerve. Granted movies with his dad and the rest of his family were never all that awesome.. but he had come to like movies with Maria and Liz. Plus this weekend was a line up of old horror movies. Michael look surprised that Alex had asked him but quickly recovers. "Yeah that'd be great. I hear their doing the Invasion of the Body snatchers this weekend." Alex wonders which one." Awesome it's a date." He says at first not realizing what he just said and then wanting to back paddle until he sees Michael pleased smile. And then he relaxes and realizes that he wasn't misreading things and suddenly Alex couldn't wait.

A couple hours later

Alex is happy his mom kicked his dad out last year , he's also glad she was working these days because other then Greg no one should be home." Thank you for hanging out with me." Michael says distracting Alex who was going to think Michael for the ride." I had fun. So I should be thanking you." A warm teasing smile mets him as he look back at Michael . His eyes dart to Alex's lips and Alex feels a surge at the thought of actually kissing Michael.

Michael leann forward his hands cupping Alex's face. And manoeuvres his face so their lips meet and a moan escapes against Alex's mouth as their lips meet. And Alex's is definitely not complaing as Michael starts tentatively kissing him, No he he responds by returning the kiss Michaels hands going to the back of Alex's neck and God, his lips, so unbelievably soft, moving so achingly sweet over Alex's own, almost feather soft and not enough. Alex moans, bringing up a hand to touch Michael's face, light and hesitant afraid the other boy will move away. But he doesn't and Alex fists the front of Michael's blue hoodie just in case but Michael just cradles the side of Alex's face, fingers finds the edges of one ear with wide-stretched fingers as Michael's tilts into it, his lips changing angle against Alex's, gusting warm air against his cheek and Alex opens his mouth again , artless in his yearning, hungry with his needy want. And hopeful in his need.

And when Michael's lips meet his again Alex's fully, Alex closes his mouth on Michaels lush bottom lip sucking it in, a shiver running through Alex as he hears Michael's breath hitch a small sound, but enough to tell Alex that Michael likes it, --kissing Michael was amazing. It makes Alex press closer recklessly wanting more, Alex dips his tongue inside,and licks the edges of Michael's upper lip, a hand coming up to press Michael closer.

Michael sighs into his mouth and shivers in his arms, sensitive like Alex knew he'd be, echoing the longing that alex feels began as they met, to be closer, to belong, so repressed so deep... no one but Alex would recognize it. Michael shivers again and suddenly Alex wishes he didn't have to go in. He pulls back and they both need a minute.

Alex had only dated one other person and it was nothing like this. That was the occasional hand job in a dark room and it ended when the rumors started about alex really started to spread. This was so different than any guy Alex hed ever crushed on. And Alex knew that he had been cruhing on Michael for years now. It was way more intense than anything eles leaving Alex scrambling.."Wow." Michael says not letting him pull way and Alex finds he doesn't want to let go other boy either just yet.

Maybe a few more minutes.

"So do you want to go for dinner tomorrow?" After all they'll need to eat either before or after the movie. And Alex finds he not in hurry to leave Michael yet so they make plans and Alex's enjoys having Michael pressed close a little longer.

I Envision Andrew kind of being a fuck boy types that didn't like that Alex was a virgin.he dudnt like Alex didn't really want to go further. He also didn't like having all the scrutiny on Alex when Kyle made life difficult fir Alex. Basically Andrew's a douche.. and Alex thought he was cute but he was always distracted by Michael.

Also aliens exist here it's just that it's in a gentler world( no noah) and where Jesse's out of the picture. Thankfully he's overseas. And his mother didn't deal with his homophobic nature toward Alex he backhanded him one time his mother dumped him. So Jesse's still a homophobe an asshole but he wasn't able to be abusive it saved the one time.
Also I remember taking calculus somewhere in my teens but early teens so if it isn't freshman or sophomore I'm sorry it's weird because it's been a while since I even thought about. Also I see Michael is having a boyfriend before this as well and a couple of girlfriends but they weren't like serious. Pretty much just physical relationships.

Also Michael and Alex totally go to college together and are that cute couple that everyone is jealous of.
Note I'm working on...Chapter 5: Malex plus Jace / plus a few other things right now but I thought that I would just post this because I was feeling nostalgic for High School Malex right now. Also note I may do a second one to this that covers the date at the drive-in.. because I'm a sap movie dates LOL.

Michael can admit mistakes were made.

With his and Alex's wedding and the months that followed he lost track of all the stuff they had found and all got back in the after math. Okay after an extended honeymoon slash r/r thing..Michael could be forgiven for losing track of what they were cataloging ..pods regained check. His console back in his work shop check.

Michael was now trying to make a list of things Clyde had on him as well as things that they had found in the aftermath. Michael saw it while cataloging everything and when he saw something that looked like alien glass small round part metal part last a symbol swirling the front he ran his thumb over the what looked like an eternity symbol in the middle of what looked suspiciously like a button.

" Whats that? Was that part if your console?" Isobel askes edging around Kyle to get a better look. "No and I don't think Alex grabbed anything like this from the pocket world either." It really didnt look like anything they found or reclaimed.

Michael wished he could ask Alex or Max but they were at Deep sky and Liz was helping Max who was helping Eduardo on a something that for once did have anything to do with them. " That doesn't look familiar to me either . " Bonnie said moving forward to get a better look. Dallas who had been in the Airstream came to see what they were talking about.

" You don't recognize wha -..." his voice broke off when he saw what Michael was holding. " Michael don't ." Dallas says eyes widened and he started forward but it was too late Michael had pushed the button. And then there was a bright light searing pain and when he opened his eye's he was standing in front of the steps of the Airstream.

What the fuck ?

And turns to see Alex's face...what alex?

Where did everyone go and the device was gone..the pain abated and he looked down thinking that he might have dropped it when he sees his hands. His left hand is scarred. And he looks at his clothes he knows his shirt he hasn't seen it since he moved in with Alex. He had just been wearing a black T-shirt and jacket with a white long sleeve shirt.

What the hell?

Michael felt confused and slightly hungover ." Guerin.." Alex says looking worried and surprised. It was at that point that Michael really looked at him and found it wasn't his Alex. His hair was too short and he wasn't wearing the same clothes that Alex was wearing that morning. No..it was his Alex but it was his Alex several years ago.

He hadn't seen this Alex since..2018.. what the fuck?

" Fucking...hell." he says just realizing what had happened. No can't be. " Michael what happened ? " Bonnie's confused voice comes from the Airstream's door behind him." That's a good question Bonnie. Where's Dallas And Isobel and Kyle.. ?" Fuck were they okay? Bonnie looked confused.

She actually jumps when she sees Alex standing there..to be fair Michael had forgotten Alex was still standing there." Wait I thought you were at Deep Sky."she says to Alex frowning "And when did you cut your hair? Not that it doesn't look nice but.. I'm confused." She says realizing Alex doesn't know her . She frowns at both of them now.

Bonnie must have just caught what Michael had asked her and looks at him and shrugged." I don't know one minute you're holding that thing that looks like alien glass and then everything went bright and everybody was gone.. also that hurt like a bitch." He finds himself frowning "Where did you learn that word?"

She looked in confusion." Clyde..why ?"Figures . His phone rings he pulls his it out. " Michael what the hell? " Isobel's exasperated voice came through the phone. He put her on speaker. " Izzy..is Kyle or Dallas with you?" He hears a shuffling." Yeah Kyle's here no Dallas though. "

"Shit. Could you guys go check out his church?" He had know what going on." Time- travel really? He was still in shock but could think of other explanation.

I'll just go help Isobel and you two uh... talk. " She says holding out a hand expectantly for his keys. He rolled his eyes and hands them over, Bonnie looks back at Alex as she takes the keys."You look better with short hair." Bonnie says to Alex. "And not dying of radiation.. but we fixed you." when she sees Alex's eyes widen and Alex looks like he's about to say something. "Then you guys totally got married and everything worked out just fine.. tell Eduardo thanks by the way. That information really helped." Michael covers his face not wanting to look at Alex or deal with this right now.

"Who was that?" Alex asked as watching Bonnie drive off in Michael's truck with a frown . ".. a friend ." Michael ashors as he assesses the situation if he remembers correctly he knows which day this was. When Alex had come to talk to him about aliens.. he takes stock of where they're standing and how early in the day it is.

"I can explain that but I'll explain that after we talk now where are we. Let's see you're done walking away and I said we were cosmic and you said you wanted know who I am..that about right?" Michael asked really wishing he had his hat about then. Alex who still looked kinda confused but pensive too..he looked at Michael like he was trying to figure something out. likely what had changed in a relatively short period of time, Michael wants to say that they had just started calling it weird alien crap and let it go. But Michael doubts that would be of any help right now. "Actually I just said yes." Watching Michael's reaction.

Damn it .. Alex was always too perceptive.

Michael pov

Okay deja vu.

Michael smiles as Alex sits in the chair opposite to him like before. They're sitting at the fire pit again. And Michael tells his story again but this time he can fill in more gaps. And Michael tried not to overwhelm Alex its a lot to take in. And Alex listened patiently as Michael told the same story with some added stuff . Open Michael realize is it it's new to Alex. So he adds on added on a brief summary of some of the things that he and Alex had been through in the last few years.
Not really lingering over Caulfield. Or Max's death with a lot of detail. But he does talk about finding out more about his mom and her relationship to Tripp. His face goes through a myriad of the same feelings that Alex had reflected when he was reading trips journal for the first time. Michael thinks good Alex finally gets some peace over at least part of his family not being such assholes . Michael tells Alex a little bit about Greg and he getting closer. Michael's own hopes that maybe they could do that again going to the rez had been very enlightening. He explained that his father was the dictator and his father was the reason that their parents had left a civil war. Hoping for a better start somewhere else..

It was a heavily edited in some parts ofcourse he didn't want to add too many spoilers.

" So we took our time getting to know each other better?That's all that I want Michael." Alex admits his expresion going incredibly soft. " And we got married?" Alex asked with wistful look. Michael nods "I't took us longer then it probably should have though because I had process and heal. It took time.. "looking at Alex he knows that Alex doesn't know yet not really everything that could be coming.

Alex seems to get it though and Michael's relieved because it's impossible to explain several years worth of life and progress in one conversation. Too much time too many experiences to condense into words. It sucked but it was a process that needed to be lived. Maybe now it could be a learning experience for both of them and they'd less likely to repeat old mistakes, At least that was his hope.

Alex pov

.....

"So questions?" Michael asked and Alex laughs " Yeah so many..I don't know where to start." One moment he's trying to tell Michael he wants them try again and was afraid he was too late . The next Michael's eyes glow s strange red - gold then the cluches his chest. And Michael but isn't the same Michael he looks at Alex with so much love that Alex thinks he seeing an entirely different person.

Alex blinks only Michael doesn't stop looking at him like that.

Then a girl and time travel ? Wait did she say he was dying and they got married? Alex was confused but it would explain the way that Michael was looking at him.

And wow what a story. His heart broke over Michael's story about his childhood. And being left behind but you spell and Max he wanted to ask so many questions about why they left him behind. Why didn't Michael get adopted? But Michael wasn't done. After he told about his life he told about their lives after this point. Proving that it was time travel.. and Alex was glad he was sitting because he feels like he would have collapsed by then. His head spinning.. it was all too much. Yet not enough. Caulfield. He was going to have check into that.. Michael's mother and so many people dying. He would have to stop that. And God damn it why was Flint even in the country. But then Michael talked about the rez. And how he and Michael were working out attenuous relationship that allowed them to investigate for his mother and what had happened to her and the year that she had been free. It was amazing to realize that he had done all that that he had helped Michael find.. find a big piece of himself. He knows that Michael hadn't told him everything that there was just too much. But Alex's glad to know what he did to know that they work is there a way together. Alex also thinks that this is after lot of emotional work on both their part but alex knows that he's ready to try. Alex knows he himself has a long way to go yet. But he's willing to walk it with Michael.

Michael POV

Michael thinks thier doing well he was able to tell Alex more about them and their world this time. And he patiently answered a lot of Alex's questions. Like who Bonnie and Dallas are and why Alex was dying of radiation..well okay that got complicated but he still answered to the best of his knowledge. But all in all the answers did appease Alex's curiosity. A glow had started in Alex's eyes of happiness and the certainty of knowing that it would work out..Made Alex glow so beautifully.

Michael feels that same warm glow that he felt with his Alex, Okay future Alex because technically they're both his Alex. He feels a bubble happiness rising in his chest at knowing they were on the same page..making things work and seeing where it goes.

So Dallas is your brother?"Alex asked intrigued. Michael nods "Yeah he's like Isobel he's more of a foster brother. His dad was part of my mom's Triad and my mom thought of Louise Isobel's mom... and Theo- Dallas' Dad as her brother and sister. You're Triad is your family they don't have to be blood but often it's a familial Bond. Well most of the time look at Bonnie her Triad was toxic..so it does happen bad Triads I mean." Michael takes a breath and rubs his face with his hands. "Yeah Clyde is dead he tried to take over the portal and then take my dad's place back on Oasis. So he's dead." Alex raises an eyebrow.

"What ? He got fried by the portal. We didn't have to do anything except inject him with something that stopped the blocker. He had a rune on his arm and being a criminal he wasn't allowed to go back to Oasis through the portal. It would have stopped him but Liz had created a blocker so that the portal wouldn't stop him from going through. She just revoked the blocker.. so he died and it painless for us." Honestly glad to see him go because that guy was annoying and was responsible for a lot of bad shit.

After a moment quiet.

" So Dallas and Isobel are your Triad? " Alex asked leaning forward slightly. Michael nodded" yeah" I basically inherited them from my mom but it's cool. Dallas and I getalong..we've got a lot in common. What with our backgrounds being similar you know going into the system having bad foster homes stuff like that." Michael explained leaning back into a half sprawl.

Alex is quiet for a minute and then he looks down.. "So how is Max related to you? "Michael knows that he looks surprised that Alex picked up on that. He had forgotten to mention or elaborate more about Jones and Max being genetically the same person. He winces" Technically Max was Jones's clone." he says and he sees Alex's eyes pretty dark eyes widen.

"So. Technically...." Alex started humor bleeding into his voice.

"Don't say it."Michael warned him and and then sighs. Alex smiles"... but really if we were to look at the blood." Michael glares at Alex . But then ruins it by rolling his eye"Yes ..technically Max would be my dad. Trust me I do understand, But it's not like he hasn't been my dad for as long as I've known him. Now he has DNA to prove it . Michael says glumly he is not sulking..Alex laughes and he feels himself smile...it's was good to hear Alex laugh . He was so beautiful with his eyes lit by firelight and happiness. And Michael loves him so God damn much.

Then Michael stops and considers for a moment "He was always family I didn't need blood to prove that. "Remembering Max's speech when they were locked in his workshop by Noah. Alex seems to sense something and his eyes go soft. "No you don't need blood." Alex says just as soft. But then he takes a deep breath like he's trying to expel memories and Michael didn't want to make him sad.. He remembers Alex saying that Michael was his family.

"So with Max technically being my dad is my dad that makes him your the father-in-law.Michael teasing a smile already finding its way his lips. Come to think of it you inherit them all a actually but especially Max. "And just like that the humor comes back.And Alex pretends to consider it for a moment and he says "You know I think I can handle that. "Michael smiles" I don't know not many people can handle Max's Russian poetry. And Honest to God Kafka sucks and and don't get started on War and Peace ... why not Don Quixote? or you know less boring parts of literature. " Alex chuckles. " What did Tolstoy ever do to you?"

"Don't even get me started" Michael warned. And Alex chuckles this time. "I swear I do not understand what it is about Russian literature but Max loves it all." Alex winces" Yeah Kafka really does suck." Michael is aware they have been forced to do some paper over the guy in school. He's fairly sure that's what Alex is thinking about." Thank you." Michael says validation really not required but it was appreciated.

Michael hears his pickup approaching and qait to see it appear. He sighs in relief as he sees Dallas is with Bonnie. But us surprised to see Rosa's face too.

Fuck.

"Uh.. I think you should probably call liz." he says looking to Alex who stares in shock. As Rosa gets the truck. Alex nods and pulls out his phone, Michael doesn't envy him that conversation.. he barely clocks Kyle's car pulling up as well.

Michael watches Alex walk a few feet away and to make his call. Michael then turns his attention to the group as they approach. He looks at Rosa." Just how did you get here?" He knows he sounds slightly exasperated. She looks confused I don't know. If these guys are right I should be in that pod right now. "Michael's getting a weird vibe off of this ." You probably still are.. " He's trying to work out how it's even possible she's standing there. Bonnie makes sense she was captured the device along with the rest of them.. when Michael activated it . And it also had a similar feel to the prison alternate world the Dallas's father had made so Michael had theorized that one of the reasons that Bonnie was drove along was because she was in the immediate vicinity . It seemed to draw Michael and the same way the alien glass did. The same hum the same feel that he got when he touched and modified console a brush across his mind as if something was trying to connect with him.. But Rosa never went to the alternate world and to his knowledge never touched the console. so Michael's first theory a shot already.. and now he's getting a headache.

He needs a drink.. and he can feel a headache coming on which is weird because he doesn't usually get them. Somehow he thinks this is going to be is going lot more complicated than he thought.. he feels that this could take a while.

Alex was apparently done taking to to Liz and makes his way back to Michaels side.. Alex shoots Rosa a smile as he walks back to Michael who still by the fire pit.

"Alex this is Dallas and Bonnie." He looks back to Dallas. " was just telling Alex you. He looks back at Alex who nods.

"It's nice to meet you.." Alex says talking a breath"Wow.. you're like Michael ."he says as if not quite believing even though Michael had already explained it to him. He looks to Bonnie because she recently come to Earth.. he looks at her like she's a mystery. Michael knows that feeling, Michael and Bonnie had had long conversations and it looks like Alex wants to have one too. It just reminds him of why he loves Alex so much his endless curiosity about everything.. and it's not just because he wanted to know things. But also Alex wanted to know because of Michael. He wanted to know more about Michael's home world and Michael's people's heritage. Michael found it sweet and very endearing Alex cared so much.

Later

After tears and warm reunions. Liz and Rosa set with Alex catching up. Max keeps giving Isobel and Kyle weird looks but then again so does Alex.. apparently they can tell that she and Kyle have a thing. This makes Michael smile.. wait till they find out that Rosa had a thing for Wyatt.

"I think you were right sorta .."Dallas tell him as they stand watching the happy scene in front of them. " Oh what am I sorta right about?" Michael raises an eyebrow. It does feel like something my father made. However I think that it captured Rosa when Clyde had her before or at least a version of her. Michael frown's" What do you mean a version of her?"

" I've been thinking about the things that I saw and my dad's memories that fit it and there is a device that they created when he was trying to clone people. For Jones.. he more than succeeded. But Jones didn't want a perfect copy of himself he wanted a perfect copy of his body. My father wanted to continue thinking and experimenting on the matter however and did it in secret. When he created that prison he also created a way out it creates perfect copies of that person's memory it can transfer to other realities. And sometimes timelines.. it's a way to ensure that the history doesn't repeat itself and get that person a way out sort of.. "there's that word again Michael thanks but he thinks he understands what they're talking about.

Soma.

A game Michael wishes he didn't know about. He's not even a gamer and usually doesn't care about such things he doesn't even know why he would picked that particular game to play. But he thinks he understands what Dallas is talking about in that particular world a young man named Simon woke up in a world it wasn't his own. He was too dense to understand that he was an imprint..a memory. Well that's being uncharitable Simon wasn't dense he was just naive, He also didn't want to believe.

Michael knows he doesn't have that luxury he nods. "Should we tell them he" he asked quietly?". Dallas takes a deep breath and he looks troubled and Michael understands why. "Isobel maybe but I just don't see a good reason as to why we should tell the rest though we'll just say that we're stuck here. Michael nods he feels a little numb.

Should he tell Alex?

Will Isobel tell Kyle?

He looks over at them Rosa has arm around Alex , and he looks amused and she's laughing. He takes a breath and something in his chest loosens.. "it's a gift." he finally says." We treated as a gift and we don't look back that's what we say." He say finally looking at Dallas.

"A gift..yes." Dallas says with smile. And as Michael's eyes find Alex's he realizes that it didn't matter what time or what place they found themselves in ...he was home because Alex was his home.

Chapter 1

It had been a slow night.

Jace really didnt think much of it until he saw a group of unfamiliar vampires had come in with a very familiar vampire.

Knowles was known to flout the council's rules, The council had taken over when the shadowhunter society had collapsed centuries ago.The shadowworld basically now polices itself. Jace had been asked to head up clan security a few years back. These days he had his own division that did the council's bidding. After Camille had left and and Raphael had taken over as clan leader. Raphael then put Jace's name forward to head a new group for the New York council not just for clan business. He was able to investigate claims that not only the vampires had but other groups.. it wasn't perfect but it was betterthan what they had before..which was lawlessness.

Ideally his group answered the council as a whole .. but secret missions for individual members still happened sometimes though.Jace's group really wasn't the first they created like this. But it was one of the first to be specialized in dealing with more problematic offenders.

Because Jace had a background in law enforcement prior to turning he did very well in the job. And honestly it's just felt like being back on his old job sometimes. A lot of nights walking the beat so to speak and staking people out. Having to get enough evidence to bring them into the Council on charges or take care of them right there . This isn't usually advised and is only reserved for people that are more than just problematic. They were extremely dangerous and high risk of exposure they were deemed kill on sight. Knowles was to be watched and eliminated if needed the council didn't want him New York he was trouble.

He had been watching Knowles since the other vampire came into the club and didn't like what he saw. Raphael had once described Knowles as a selfish violent man who died the way he lived and not much had changed since his death. He had gotten violent with the staff and most of the clan ran establishments and Knowles had been banned from most places like this one.the kind that allowed feeders(friendly humans who feed) he had already gone through the list in Brooklyn and Queens refused to serve him too.

So Knowles was hunting Jace could tell. He was staring at a young man standing not 20 ft from Knowles. The boy was standing in the corner watching another boy . The boy Knowles was watching was a tall dark haired young man, and very attractive in fact Jace did a double take he wasn't just attractive, he wasn't just pretty when Jace got a good look at him he realizeddarl hair boy was beautiful. The dark haired boy was glaring at another dark-haired boy who had his arm around a blonde boy. Possibly the first boy's ex. Whatever in any case Jace knew Knowles' type. Knowles liked to feed from the young and pretty ones .. Jace's hand twitched to go to his hell fire sword. But forced himself to remain still and watch.

He needs proof ...

Problem was Knowles had been driven out of LA not just for being rough but because he had been leaving corpses behind and La had a no staking policy. And Knowles hadn't done anything beyond -the harassment here. Which would only get him banned and watched.. it annoyed Jace somtimes while the system usually worked every now and again a problematic person got through the cracks. LA was a problem too they didn't destroy their own which was a problem because now it had become Jace's problem.

The tall young man threw his money on the table and stomped out of the club not looking back. Knowles also left following him at a discreet distance. Jace paid for his drink and followed them pausing only for a moment to text his second Haylen to let him know that one of the targets on their short list had appeared.

As it turns out this was a mistake.

As Jace rounded the corner of the club to the first alleyway adjacent to the club security hadn'tlt heard them at all. He saw the young man gripping his throat his eyes wide with terror. Jace knew what the council would want him to do...His job was to chase Knowles.

His job was not to meddle in mundane affairs but looking at the young man in front of him he couldn't walk away. He approached the young man slowly with his hands up the boIys panic face eyes lighted on him in fear. Jace hold up his hands to show that he was unarmed. "I just want to help you." he says to the young man.

The young man's eyes never lost their fear and they seem somewhat resigned. But he nodded as Jace replaced the boy's hands with his own firmer grip he looks at the boy sadly he says" I can help you but it comes with a price." he allows his fangs pop out.

The dark haired young mans Hazel eyes were widen in panic again. Jace pauses and he says "Don't be afraid." he uses his gift to esse the boys fear. And drops is control "I can help you he says again but it comesh a price." he repeats trying to put some urgenc_in his voice realizing how waek young manss pulse getting.

The resigned look came back to the young man's face and he nodded.Jace knew the mundane had heard myths and legends of his kind and for the most part the stories were true. He knew that the boy had to known what was happening he wasn't that naive. Jace could it an acceptance 8n those lovely hazel eyes. While most humans go along about their day never really stopping to think about anything beyond their own lives this one the kind to peer harder into the shadows. .Jace know because he'd also been like that. Though not nessary the young man looks at him for a second and nods his understanding at what was being offered.

"I have to drink and then feed you my blood" Jace tells him calmly the young man nods offering his neck. Jace quickly moves his hand and to the side of the others wound pausing to lick that wound and close it the boys ready pulse kicks up for a second as the venom enters his veins. After a few pools of blood into his mouth Jace licks the wound and bites his own rest deeply holding it to the young man now at the venom made the boy feel better Jace's blood had him moaning in the Ecstasy a few new unless they drank vampire blood. Even other vampires were not immune to being fed on or feeding from each other.

After he sure that the young man had taken enough he pulls his hands away and looks his rest to stop the bleeding. The young man grows weaker in his arms he explains calmly and gently asked the boys looks away "You'll be reborn soon don't be afraid."He held the boy long after he went lax.

And carries him to make preparations.

When the young man had rose again he was confused Jace wasn't really surprised it happens sometimes when people get turned violentlly.

The young man..or rather Alec because he had gone through the young man's effects feeling badly about it, but he needed to write his report. And identifying the victim it part of it.He also needs to know who and what he was dealing with Alec Lightwood was barely 22 and student at nyu.

And based on information from Alec's phone and jaces own digging he knew Alec had a younger sister and parents who run a successful personal security company. In fact it was one of the largest in New York and the lightwood's company were now branching out to other pars of the country.

Alec was was working on bachelors degree in business and a bright future till Knowles targeted him. Jace had made his report he had a kill on sight order for Knowles now.

Jace just wished it'd been sooner like a week ago when Knowles ad first shown up. He sighs watching Alec right himself in the bed and look around. While Alec was turning had Jace washed his clothes and got him new clothes he was wearing.A tee shirt and pants neither were fancy but they fit.He it folded the old ones after cleaned on chair beside the bed he watched Alec take all this in . Jace must a have a nosie cause Alec whipped around to him.

Again Jace raised his hands ." HI I'm Jace I'm the one who was trying to help you last night remember?" Alec eyes narrowed but then he nodded. " I'm Alec.. you're a ..." he breaks off.

And Jace nodded ." Yeah and a cop kinda ..I was chasing that man that attacked you. I'm sorry he got away but we're looking for him and we'll find him." He explains to Alec. Who sit up futher" I'm a ..vampire too aren't I, " Alec asked Touching his own face Jace nodded. The man looked down '"Well it's better then dying and no one knowing what happened to me."He said sadly. And Jace's heart went to him.. because too often in his line of work he seen that happen.

" I need to call my sister." he said reaching for his his things. Alec quickly located phone Jace had put back afterwashing his clothes.It had a lgbtq logo and was blue like the shirt he'd been wearing the night before. " I cleaned your things while you were uh you know." He knows Alec would surmise as much. But he wants Alec to know it was out necessity . " With the exceptionof a name add to my reports. I didn't touch anything else and put it back after washing it.And sorry I had to guess at your size. " he knew it fit for the most part.

But why.." the man looks annoyed and Jace can see alight bush on Alec's cheeks better not point vampires can still blush. So Jace looked away. "You don't remeber waking before now do you?" At that he got a no." Well you did and I feed you a lot of blood and you gave me a merry chase around the block. And with the blood stained clothes I mighht add. Needless to say I'm going to need a containment unit down here we freaked a lot of people out." Alec looks horrorfied." But I got you in a warded area and it knocked you out..but don't worry I got your clothes clean old vampire trick, I just wanted you to know I was a gentleman and barely looked" he teases. Okay flirting was a bad idea but the guy was beautiful. Alec looks surprised but laughs the flirting must have set him at ease.

" Well good to know." He says daling a number on his phone.

Jace excuses himselfto give Alec some privacy to speak to sister. He knows the council wouldn't like but he trusts Alec. He doesn't know why besides he has his own calls to make anyway. ........

Jace steps out to call Rafael .

" Ah Herondale good to hear from you "Raphael says smoothly. "Haylen told me that you reported finding Knowles last night." Jace nods even though he knows Raphael can't see him. "Yeah it was a mess.. he's been elevated to kill on site. He heard Rafael swear" I knew we should have got him at the airport. " Jace glared at his phone." Raphael you know we couldn't have done that it's against the council's rules remember?.. and we're not doing the Camille thing anymore. "Raphael swears some more but doesn't contradict him.

And Jace gets it frustrated him to but staying with Council rules was better in the long run it brought more order to the down lworld. Because it coud get bloody elsewise. Jace shutters to think what it'd had been like just 200 years ago. It took a while for Shadowhunters to lose the structure and assimilate into the mundane world.

He had seen records that showd somewhere around two centuries ago they were just gone, The shadow world had to create a council and government on it own. Some of the older warlocks like Ragnar Fell pointed out that it was an implosion in the Cave that started it all, the and generation after generation the children were getting tired of being thrown through a grinder. And a of se sense of destiny wasn't enough to hold them to this type of life anymore..Well that and demons haven't been seen in forever.. Jace winces because he knows that that is usually when something really bad happen when there's no one there to do anything about it.

It wasn't a matter of if, it just was a matter of when.

He's just thankful that the early Council thought to create the Hellfire blades which could do just as much damage to Demons and Demon blooded as an angel blade can.

Michael,Isobel and Max were
We're all celebrating Michael's second PhD. This time in math he was a mathematician now. His first was in physics, he had two masters.. one and mechanical engineering and computer science. Research is his ultimate goal the type of research that he wants to do involves research and development for West Tech. But he also likes his teaching job at the roswell
community college. And when he isn't teachinghe's he's working at the ranch. It's simplifies his life and it fills his need to be a agricultural engineer as well he was learning that one online. And work, when he wasn't working he was in the lab. In fact Isobel had these complaining days that Michael didn't seem to ever have any time to spend with them. So here they were celebrating his second PhD. "I don't know Michael." she says "it seems like 10 years is a good benchmark humans are right about that." He snorts "humans have a tendency to have celebrations over mediocre things." He complained.Max rolls his eyes at thembecause he's used to their antics but says nothing." We should go she says finally as if she's already decided that they were going. And Michael sighe because he knows that they probably will. "I don't know iz..." he he says and he doesn't know why he's putting up protest".. a bunch of drunk people that we used to go to school with is not my idea of fun. It was you that wanted to go to that school in the first place." He says accusingly she looks at him unimpressed "And I was right. It was an interesting school and we had very little to do at the time. Had you'd rather head back to New York and terrorized Jace?".. "no" he says because he can't argue that meeting Alex was a bad thing. He looks over at his brother who looks down. Liz. damn it. "Yeah it wasn't a bad time." he says out loud but is come on it's been 10 years. This is not how I want to spend a good day off watching a bunch of drunk people try to one up each other. He feels a headache coming on and massages his head. His fang pop when he finishes off the blood that he was drinking.

But if he get to possibly see Alex again then its worth it.

Roswell New Mexico, 2008

Michael had been a vampire for a little over two centuries now and he still didn't get the attraction of large towns. He wasn't fond of them were bright and loud and he hates the smells..vampire senses were always dialed up so to speak so he can smell the garbage. And he hear a cacophony a sounds humans couldn't..picking out one particular thing was hard. Particularly hard when he had been a fledgling vampire thank God over the centuries things had gotten easier for him. Focusing on one thing helps ground Michael whether it's a person's heartbeat or not . It Helped grounded him and helped him drown out the rest . It was something that Michael had a hard time getting used to when he was younger but two centuries change that. He would be living in the desert and have to go into larger cities like Albuquerque or somewhere somewhere that had a larger population and it would take him a few minutes to hang out the other sounds. He did not have a fondness to the daylight even though but the proper charms sunlight bent around him as if you aren't there. It still felt unnatural and drained him.. so he had to remember to feed before he went out. This is why he would get a nap in the morning work during the day and then try to get another nap before he went out that night. Vampires didn't need to sleep very much anyway or at least he didn't.

Isobel his clan mate had suggested decades ago goingto Roswell.. it taking a while to ghost in to the town. It wasn't hard they just appeared one day or transfer papers to the high school. Michael hadn't really had a problem with school. It was the middle of the day that usually gave him issue.. sleeping at night again was it irritating but he adjusted.

Direct sunlight was never a good idea for too long because he felt increasingly tired if he didn't their bodies were just not meant to stay awake during the day, so they took a potion that would allow them to move around the day. Younger vampires might have a problem with it but seems to how being two centuries old less of a problem. With the right charms he had no problem. So he stood at all sipping on the tea that he used to help negate some of the harmful effects of the daytime . He pushes off the wall and goes in with Isobel and Max to sign up .

High School ?

Michael rolls his eyes well if it makes her happy.

Transfer papers in hand. A bored looking middle-aged woman takes the papers from him and then glances up at him. " Name .."she says barely glancing at his's paper Michael Guerin ."he says. She nods she pulls out a stamper and stamps the top right corner.. and then grabs some papers off the side of her desk. And Staples them together and then hands them to him. "See the front desk for your schedule Mr Guerin and Welcome to our school." she says more pleasantly this time a smile reach her lips . He returns the smile an then excused himself and waited for Max and Isobel.

Later that day

"New student huh?"

The pretty dark haired boy smells like sunshine and all Michael's favorite things all roll up in one gorgeous pagakge. " I'm Alex. " the boy smiled and Michael feel a flutter in his chest. Which is impossible he's been dead for two centuries get a great man he tells himself. Michael he says I need his voice holding out of hand to the pretty boy. I'm feeling the charm on his wrist activate to make your skin feel warmer to touch.. the things they do to fit in he thinks. The the boys warm brown eyes white and slightly as their hands touch you can feel it too it was like a current that went between them. Magic is at night and all other kind.. but he didn't usually feel it from humans. Something like this wasn't unheard of when it came to say a warlock or Sellie maybe but humans?

This was strange.. he covered it by saying it's nice to meet you Alex " he smiles the boy.. uh Alex's eyes are lined with khoal and Michael loves it. He feels his eyes roam over Alex and sees the boys cheeks go pink. But Alex's smile had widened. His hair was longer than most of the boys if it's class. Michaelccould see other than Alex most of the other boys kept their hair short. the boys eyes it isn't unheard of the Wizards will wear eyeliner and sometimes their hair long.. but human males didn't usually. Also took in Alex's clothes they were common for kids that dressed goth though he admits he wasn't overly familiar with the style. But he knew that that Adam Lambert and that Adam Brody seem to like it. And since they know they were popular it wasn't hard see some kids would adopt the look the area were probably attracted to it because of that.

And Michael feel that again he thinks which is insane being dead for two centuries does not give away to fluttering. "So you're an AP French too? "Alex nods yeah it was either that or Spanish and I took that last year.

Michael really prefers Spanish to be honest. But at this class meant that he got to set aside a pretty boy that smells like sunshine and everything that Michael loves he take the class. "French is quickly becoming my favorite class." he says looking at Alex. And Alex's cheeks go pink again "Mine too he says with a shy smile.

"Well it is the language of love Michael says in amusement this startles a laugh out of Alex. The teacher took that moment to come in and startled them all. But Alex's eyes kept talking toward him, oh yes he really likes the school."

Good luck kept coming his way when he realizes that he got a lunch break with Alex and calculus.

Alex met him after class and they exchanged notes.

It was all very pleasant until Isoble decides to walk up and say I can't believe I have absolutely no classes with you or Max she complains. " Sorry Iz." He feel Alex shift uncomfortably beside him. " Izzy this is Alex , Alex this is my sister Isabel. The wide brown eyes look more relieved and he reaches out of hand Alex Manes he says to her politely. She smiles and his hand" Isoble Evans. " she says politely the same type of polite she usually use when meeting warlock dignitaries from the council. But Alex didn't seem to notice, he looks back to Michael you got different last names he says observing the two of them. Yeah you know divorce half siblings type of thing. Alex knots looking a little more concerned.. oh I'm sorry. It was years ago Isabel says with the way you have a hand. And it really had been centuries in fact. Good Alex didn't need to know that Casey's Alex is pretty face smooth back down. So where did you transfer from yes New York she says. Alex's Pretty Brown Eyes widen New York it's a long ways away what can I say the warm Desert Air does wonders to my skin she says. Alex thank you fully just nodded as if any of that made sense.. when she heads off to look for Max. Michael said that Miss Evans was reassigned to Roswell. So they wound up living here.. this was more acceptable and Alex looked relieved. he'd have to remember talk to Isobel about actually acting like a teenager if this is what she wanted as a cover. Teenagers don't usually decide to take off for another coast on whim when they lived in an area like new york. They School parents rules things that Isobel has not had to deal with in such a long time that it seems to keep alluding her. Michael made a mental note to talk to Max too. No Max was not as bad but they had done this years ago in the 1800s and a reminder might not hurt. That was a lot easier back then people were a lot more innocent and a whole lot more gullible. The thing on their side these days is that a lot of kids on television look like they were in their twenties anyway Michael still wishes if they'd gone to it for a college instead though. And technically Michael had been 19 when he died.. Max 25 and Isobel well she wouldn't admit how old she was. Some kind of female Secret but he suspects that she had been closer 26.

At the end of the day he gets up enough courage to ask Alex if he wanted a ride home Alex looks at Michael with a shy smile as he tucks long strain hair behind his ear and nods. Michael who's observing the movement feels a little foggy for a second oh right a ride. So what did you get your own car Alex says as they walk out. Oh Last Summer Michael says remembering clearly when he bought that truck. He had had some body work done on it and a brighter shade of blue put on it time had washed the color out of it. It still looked a little faded as older trucks go. But between the body work and the fresh paint it looked a lot better he likes the era that's why he had bought it.. good year that year 1969, it had been one of his favorites for a lot of reasons in 1969 Corvette was one of them fire engine red. But Isobel had wound up grabbing that from his garage and still hadn't given it back.

They got to talking about the best hang out in town," i just so just have to show me where this Crashdown is maybe we can get something to eat ."he says with a slow lazy smile. As Alex puts on a seatbelt. Alex pauses for a second and turns to him "Are you asking me on a date?" he asked with a confused smile. "Maybe are you saying yes? Alex gives him a shy smile "Maybe." that makes it Michael laugh. Then I guess you should give me directions.

It really good fries.

And they wound up sharing a milkshake. It was all too cute and Michael enjoyed every second of it. Alex seemed to know the girl that was taking their order her name was liz.. he did not see her at school but apparently she went to their school. She kept giving them smiles and cooing at them. And then shooting her father off if he came over to check to see if they were okay. It was nice to see that there were so many warm and honest people around just a little while in this restaurant and he could see why people can't coming back. The food and the people warmed him and he looked over at Alex and thanked him and Alex look touched. "You're welcome "he says. Anybody just look you know you shouldn't be surprised that there are nice people though. There's a lot of people like that in town people will surprise you if you let them. Mike feels touched at such that's such a young person was so earnest about worrying about him." I can see that, thank you Alex. He says squeezing Alex's fingers that had laid by his hands. Alex's eyes widened slightly and his cheeks go pink again and this is beginning to be one of Michael's favorite things to make him blush. At the happiness in Alex's eyes is even more addictive. "

Jace's apartment

Alec's pov

"So do they always do that ?"Alec winced as his fangs Popped out at just at the smell of blood. Jace nods. "Yeah but it'll get better you'll learn more control. " he certainly hopes so it's like 12 or 13 again and having hide behind something because cute boy smiled at him.

Embarrassing.

Speaking of cute guys the pretty blonde shuffled awkwardly for a moment. Even though he had just met the other man it seemed to be wrong on him the other man does not seem to be typed to be awkward. It's exact opposite he seemed to be type to know his own skin and be comfortable with it. And was ar ease with everything around him, something in him that the other man was off balance worried maybe Alec wasn't sure

God he's pretty.

It was distracting, it was supposed to be a tutorial and Alec was having a hard time focusing. "As I was saying it's important to keep your hunger under control. Although it is not required that you use the blood banks they can be helpful if you don't have a feeder. This makes Alec raises eyebrow. "Do people normally line up to be your feeder?" As good as it felt to be fed from last night he wonders should he be jealous. Jace shrugged there's a couple of ways to do it you can hunt many vampires prefer to hunt. Their areas that you can do so amongst mundanes but you got to remember to use your abilities, to both lure them in and then erase their memories after. Never take more than what you need. Never get too hungry this is why the blood bags are important. But feeders? Feeders are a necessity of our world blood bags are okay but they don't give you everything that needca new vampire. It's like eating rice as a human sure it's filling but give it a little time and you'll be hungry again , new vampires need more life substance to the blood something that has been in a refrigerator on the Shelf loses it over time kind of like canned foods for humans as well. It loses its nutritional value the longer it sits there .. I look really hadn't thought of it that way he knows and Jace goes on" It's not like there load of humans linking upthere's a lot of them lining up all over the place because not many people know about us. But there are humans that hang around the bars. And those that do know yes they volunteer in hopes of being turned. Eventually we do turn them, those that bring in others get turned faster. " alec nods that makes sense this way vampires were able to feed and procreate at the same time.

" And the bar I was at last night ?" Alrc asked figuring he knew the answer already. Jace winced but nodded yes it's vampire bar he not but we don't alow hunting there or whatever coming into the bar, You weren't supposed to be fair game Alec. There were plenty of feeders in that bar Knowels had burned through pretty much all of the feeders bars in town, because he kept breaking the rules. Last night was one of the few that probably would have took him he was hunting and illegal hunting area. I thought about that for a moment last night all he had seen was just a flash a sharp pain have you felt like he was dying. It's totally different from when Jace bit him.. that that was different he supposed to see the attraction to being fed on if they all felt like what Jace said to him.

Alec was only looking to confirm that his ex Jeremy had move on he didn't know why he was doing it was stupid to himself. He had a few boyfriends before Jeremy and he didn't know why he let it bother him so much. With school he had not had time for relationships anyway so it shouldn't bother him so much.

But Isabelle had mentioned something about seeing Jeremy at a local bar with some guy she didn't recognize. And Alec tells himself he's only there so that he can confirm that she is correct that it's somebody that they don't know. After his second round he realizes that this is stupid. He doesn't know why he's here and he doesn't know why he's letting it get to him.

He thrown his money down and decided to leave.. to p eave for some reason something called his attention of movement something fast to his right.

And then cold hands grabbing him.. White teeth only long and sharp like something out of a horror movie. Pain. Then not. It gave way to something warm and nice a feeling of euphoria. . Kind of like being drunk only he tries to push whatever it is grabbing him away because he knows it's wrong. It's confusion doesn't last and sense of growing horror when whatever it was ran away. He grabs his neck and watches the retreating form it seems to be a man but it wasn't a man he can still see the face. Those teeth a monster ..a vampire and was dying.

Another flashof movement only this figure comes back. And crouches in front of him environment he's transfixed like the face of an Angel . But there's something very still about the finger in front of him like granite or stone the person's not breathing no Puffs coming out of his mouth as cold as it was tonight you should be able to see someone's breath but it's not present . And weather certainty he knew that he was like the other man and then the flash the teeth . But this person's telling him that he can help him .. Alec doesn't know why he trusts him. And Alec lost himself in a pluseralble pull)n th man closeer cupping the blondes har a a haze washes our all memoriesof pain of fear. It was like the best kind of orgasm and alec loses himself in it.

At some point thoughts broke down and he felt weaker and the blonde housed his reist in akex mouth a som warm and kinda salty hits his tounge the flavor makes a moan even though he could never identify what it was the taste so good about it. Even now he can't think.. but it was like the answer to everything. And then he lost himself again but everything went black.. Alec realize now he had died.

"So Jace how's you new fledgling?" Michael asked Jace his tone teasing as he face times the other vampire. Jace sighs " Learning fast it's amazing how guickly. he takes in the info qiven. And since New now has a stable clan we can afford the time to train him properly."Michael nods he feels its changed alot since he dug hinself out of his grave two centuries ago.

Fucking vampires. Kyle cannot reason with what he seen in front of him and it's fucking vampires. Master Sergeant Manes had said, Roswell New Mexico had a rogue vampire and he was hunting it down.

Au fic
Based Loosely on All too well.. but it's more inspired by it that fic. And while some things in the story resembles Dreams Of Tomorrow it doesn't really have anything to do with that. It's just a sweet what if fluffy nonsense story. Mixed with Canon because those episodes in the middle of season 1 kind of sucked they were sad and you know not good for anybody. Au fic
Based Loosely on All too well.. but it's more inspired by it that fic. And while some things in the story resembles Dreams Of Tomorrow it doesn't really have anything to do with that. It's just a sweet what if fluffy nonsense story. Mixed with Canon because those episodes in the middle of season 1 kind of sucked they were sad and you know not good for anybody. Not that I got much better for malex but here's to trying to make it better.

Michael's pov

Michael was finishing a project that he and Joe have been working on for nearly 3 months. When he received a call from, Maria asked him come and get Jace. When he arrives he sees the familiar form of Alex.

" Shit." He send a annoyed mental message to Max . 'I thought Alex was busy with Project Shepherd?'he can almost hear Max sighs. 'Sorry man. But he had to go home somtimes.'

A petty part of him would like to point out that the pony is not home . But he lets go .. Maria gestures toward him so he walks forward Alex doesn't turn . "So where is he?" Maria looks contrite." Guerin. "Look I know that you guys havr been broken up for over a year but I didn't know what else to do." He stops her with a gesture." Where ?" She looks conflicted . "He's in my office " Michael noddedand headed that way feeling Alex eyes on him the whole way.

But it was hilarious to watch Jace bolt straight up. Searching the area until he sees Michael standing there and then relaxes." Michael. Your..such a dick."Jace groans his hand going to his head.The blonde shadowhunter leans back against the couch again." What the hell did Maria call you? " Michael takes pity on Jace's and walks forward with a hand cradles the back of Jace's head and send some healing power through to him. Normally it wouldn't work this way, but he had done it for Max and Isobel a few times when they had a hangover or some type of headache. He must have overestimated because there was a soft moan and Jace leaned into his hand Jace caught Michaels hand.

There were a lot of emotions in those bi-colored eyes. But he doesn't say any of the things that no doubt he wants to say to Michael. " You've been ignoring me nearly a week Michael. " Jace points out. " Why?" Michael sighs. " I'm? Not ignoring you Jace, I just got a lot going on. You know Isoble's had another episode. We had to tell her about Rosa and those girls."

Jace had taken Michael's scarred hand into his own absent-mindedly rubbing it with his thumb. Michael can't really explain why it always feels good when Jace does that. His hands cramp sometimes when he's doing something the as small as gesture sometimes. It relieves a lot of the tension in his hand, and release some of the chronic pain that it causes Michael every day. Almost absent-mindedly he relaxes.. he sees a slow beautiful smile cross Jace face at easing Michael's pain.

Angels are beings of love someone had once told him, and Jace was almost pure a angel. Michael figures that Jace intuitively knows things. Like when Michael needs him or is in pain and suddenly Michael feels like a jerk now because he had been dodging Jace. His feelings for Jace much like his feelings for Alex we're very complicated and they didn't go away when Jace wasn't around. And all they did these days was compound his confusion.. ""I'm sorry. "He says covering Jace hand with his own, causing a slight start in the blonde. Michael suppresses a smile as he watched the shadowhunters eyes widen." I should have called you ..Angel I'm sorry." He sees Jace shuddered at the nickname he hadn't called called that in a long time. But Jace was still in his phone as Piano-Angel..but he used it somtimes in teasing ..but wen they were intimate . Right now he was using it as a strange mixture of intimacy and nostalgia because Jace was always his angel, and always had been since they were children .

Tell you what. Why don't we head to Max and Kyle's and I'll fill you in on the way. An evening of stakes and beer sounds better than hanging out here. Jace who had watching him closely the whole time smiled a dazzling smile that that always took Michael's breathaway. " Yeah and then we need to head back to the loft..cause I miss it." Michael laugh." You missed that drafty old apartment. " Yeah I do. Funny things you miss huh ?" Only with the look in his eyes and their hands still entwined Michael gets a feeling that it's not the apartment that Jace really misses. Michael doesn't blame him he feels a twist in his chest and realizes that he also misses it too.

He missed them.

He missed them...as they were before life and things got in the way. Before he fell in love with Alex and before he let time and too many horrible things get between them. Because it didn't really matter whether it was their friendship or something romantic he and Jace always had a really strong connection. Michael can feel it like a tangible ache when Jace wasn't with him or connected to him. He had something similar with Alex but Alex's was much stronger and he never understood it.

Didn't matter though. To Alex Michael is a criminal therefore not worth the time..right? Alex hadn't even bothered to ask Michael if he even had a record or if any of what Alex's dad said was true. A few arrest yes but no convictions and most of those fights that he got into were at the wild pony were before Maria had gotten a bouncer. And Michael was attempting to break up a flights. Maria did have anyone else at the time..so Michael help would often wind up sleeping it off in the drunk tank. Because Cam would pick up and leave for Max to deal with nextmorning. No charges just a warning. Besides it Wyatt Long that started most of those fights .. and Wyatt also got away without any charges the asshole.

But things with Alex have been complicated that's why he decided to break things off with Jace because as much as he cared about Jace as much as he loved Jace that pull toward Alex was undeniable.

Shit.

He pulls Jace up into a hug and feels Jace press his nose into Michael neck breathing Michael in. It's a familiar gesture that causes a familiar ache in Michael. Jace has done for as long as Michael has known him Michael figures it's because Jace hadn't had enough hugs as a child. And Jace likes to cuddled with Michael it warmest him that Jace trusts him.Michael had always been happy to be there when Jace needed him.

They been lonely children and Jace being around always been a comfort for Michael. Jace understood him he understood that Michael couldn't ask someone to stay because he had been hurt and disappointed so much and as a child. But Jace was there when Michael need him and would stay until Valentine called him home. Or later Maryse but it wasn't because Jace didn't want to be there with Michael all the time it was because he had a duty and New York as a shadowhunter. Michael feels Jace's hand snake up into his curls and the familiarity of it makes Michael smile again. He just holds Jace close for a few minutes longer allowing them to enjoy the moment.

But the bouncer knocks .. Jesus DeLuca. Really? One time he had sex in the bathroom. And she never let it go. And she definitely doesn't trust him not again clearly.

Fair.

So Michael put a hand on Jace's shoulder and led him out, it was supposed to comfort Jace but it also studied Michael. He gestures thank you to Maria hey make it to the front of the bar. He doesn't let go of Jace's shoulder and he can feel a lot of eyes on him. Michael doesn't have to look back to be able to say that Liz was there now with them he can feel her. Jace looks back over his shoulder as he goes to open the door. But Jace must have seen them looking because his face takes on understanding he gives Michael a small sad smile. And Michael gives him an reassuring squeeze and then they were gone Michael didn't look back.

Liz's pov

."No seriously you guys didn't know?"Liz ased sitting back on her stool. Pulling her drink closer to her.. she didn't normally drink wine but she didn't feel like beer tonight. She looks up and sees Alex's face he seems shocked. This causes a pause in her asked her self why?She didn't think that Alex even knew Michael that will. She been talking to Maria about Michael and trying to get her to her to stop being so mean.

Maria didn't really mean it liz knew it Maria was just teasing because that's what she did sometimes with her customers. But it did irritate Liz to hear her talking about Michael that way so she set her straight on Michael's time away in college. Because Liz remembers seeing him in California several years ago and he talked about being in Albuquerque for school. He had been in California for a convention he was an engineer and working fir West Tech had had some type of big thing there in California where they're had their home office. Liz was hoping for a job like that because they have been branching out into the medical field and med research for the medical field.

Liz takes in Maria and Alex's expressions . "Yeah for real I saw Michael a few years back I mean he became an electrical engineer and computer engineer. And of course I was in BIO but we met up and we talked about West tech the company he works. He even got me an interview. They were interested but I didn't want to relocate back here at the time. You know come to think of it I probably should let them know that I'm in the area and am interested now." She makes a mental note to call them.

Michael Guerin "Maria says making sure that they were talking about the same person. Liz nods "Yeah. you do realize that he had perfect scores he beat me out in every class right?It used to drive me crazy." She chuckles "I think he's had Straight A's since we startedschool. He got a full ride you know ? Max told me about that a long time ago."

"Maria nods "Well I know he disappeared for a little while. But I thought it was because of his foster home situation." Maria says Liz frowns "You do know he was 18 when we graduated right? And he know he was always skipping out on his crappy pedgoing back to those crappy foster homes like when he was 15 and got that truck.. most of the time he stay at the Foster ranch or the scrap yard."

"No he was at the University for 4 Years Maria. Not in foster care she seems a little annoyed that her friend would believe that. Maria rolled her eyes "I didn't think he was in foster care of the entire time was I thought that it took him away and that he came back."

Liz nods" Yes that's true when they were 11 I think he came home later. But they were little at the time I think k he was seven when he left. "Liz consids it for a minute. " Yeah. Michael was around 11 when he came back.. yeah that sounds about right 11. Because I remember seeing him around again. Oh and a blonde guy that just left with him.. "

Maria " Bonde guy? You mean Jace? " Liz relaxes she's grateful that Maria knows who Jace is because she honestly doesn't know the guy. She had seen him a couple of times when she first got back into town. He had been hanging around Max's house and she had seen him with Michael a few times. She figured he was a family friend.

Yeah Jace. Weird I don't remember him did he go to a different school? "she asked Maria shakes her head "No he's from New York."That gave her pause "He's from New York? As in New York City ? "Maria nods yeah but Michael also has friends from Pennsylvania and several other states. It's not that weird..."Liz considers this for minute the nods yeah Now that Maria mentions it she's fairly sure she saw that boy hanging around Michael since before High School.

"Okay wait a minute."Alex says butting in but apologizing for the rudeness. "I'm sorry but could you go back to the part where you said Michael went to school in Albuquerque." Liz nods Yeah he did." Alex frown's" But I thought he was in jail? "She frowns again why would you think he was in jail."And then she remembered.

Kyle.

Oh the Kyle thing. Oh no that Michael got some kind of warning for malicious mischief pulling a prank you know.? It wasn't funny and Jim just gave him a warning. They let him off after a few days. Jim said he didn't want to jam him up when it came to school. Not that I think it would have hurt Michael that much he would have just had to have gone a different year. From what I understand they weren't really big fans of him being arrested but they weren't exactly going to pull his scholarship either. I remember Kyle was furious though because he didn't think he it was funny."

Maria laughs "Well it was kind of funny. But totally not the right thing to do she's a men's seeing both of their faces. She looks back and Alex and he looks pale.. "No.. no he was arrested and I went to basic. And I didn't see him again.... " Alex says have to himself trailing off.

Well he may have been arrested but no charges were ever brought against him Alex they were dropped, and no convictions" she says comfortingly. "And he did get out and he did go to school.'

"Well he has been helping me here." Maria puts in "Before I was able to get a bouncer he did sto a few and got himself arrested a couple of times for breaking up flights."Liz raises an eyebrow "He got arrested for breaking up fights?" "Yeah he might have been drunk too. And Jenna just took them all in. Sometimes Max but mostly Jenna." Not that it matters much though.

Maria leans on the bar looking like she's considering something.

"It's mostly Wyatt being a racist asshole who starts the crap. I am. serious, he's back in here as often as he can but these days I can just throw him out when he starts drinking too much and starts acting like an asshole.." doesn't stop him from being an asshole elsewhere." Liz unconsciously covers the place where her wound had been.

The wound Max had healed ..

I died.

"And Michael has a record," Alex says. Liz is starting to get concerned at this point."No... not that I know of ."Maria says thinking for a minute.. 'I mean no, he's an engineer and not really around around a whole lot these days. Maybe a couple times a week. So I mean I don't see Michael all the time he might have been arrested for something other than breaking up a bar fight or being a little drunk in public, but if so I haven't heard of it. " Alex frown's he looks pale, still.

Maybe she needs to talk to him.them.

Of all my customers he's probably is one of the nicer ones." Maria points out." I mean I still give him shit because that's how we are. But he's pretty nice about fixing things when they get broken and helping me when I need it. He knows with my mom I can't afford a lot of that so he does it at a cost to him." She admits.

Kyle pov

Max was grilling some steaks and veggies on the grill. Kyle watched Michael and Jace talk with Max it was nice to be all together again. Kyle has missed this, Max grilling telling stories about when they were kids, just in case Jace missed any of them.

Kyle appreciated listening to them because sometimes he heard stories but sometimes he hadn' them heard yet. He wasn't always around when they were kids. And Kyle Max and Isobel weren't exactly close friends of his when they were small so it was good to catch up.

A warm happy mood had settled over the group. Michael turns to the blone who's playing the potatoes. "Personally I blame you for DeLuca Hating me."Michael says cheerfully. Jace mock glares at him." You know you can't blame me for everything right?" Michael shrugged "It was your idea to go out drinking that night. Meanwhile Maria is pissed because you destroyed a case of Comando G La Brena."

Jace laughes." Me ? I wasn't the one offered to fix the vending machine out back damn thing still spit out sodas." Michael rolls his eyes. " That's not my fault I did fix it , Kevin decided the card reader wasn't working properly and broke it again." Kevin was a nice kid he really was and he did try and he wasn't that bad at what he did he just didn't take account to wear and tear that that machine would go through. Michael shakes his head .

"Yeah but guys how the hell does he get it to spit the sodas at you ? I mean it seems like it takes effort to do that .. maybe he did it on purpose."Kyle says..Michael raises an eyebrowas as if the thought had not ever occurred to him." You think Kevin is trolling the tourist ?" Michael asked and Kyle considers it then then nods. "Maria's not complaining about it is she?" Jace and Michael look at each other and shake their heads no. That confirms his suspicion Kyle doesn't believe its Maria idea. But Kyle believes she certainly approves of it. She didn't want tourists in her bar after all, and the machines were outside.

At the pony

Alex couldn't breathe at first he had excuses himself and head to bathroom to splash water on his face. He take a to think.

Why did he let his father get to him?

28 years old and his dad still made him like the scared kid he used to be. He knows it was a knee jerk thing because he'd in the closet so long he just react with thinking. Video so now it wasn't fair.. to just take in a situation and asume and not ask he should have learned from the the time he accused Michael of making meth. caught up to different scenarios after that after all Sanders did own a scrap yard. And Michael didn't know what the person would be doing with the copper when he he sold it they could be making something out of it or they could be using it for something illegal. And Alex overreacted.. he used it as an excuse to push Michael away.

It wasn't right or fair and he knows it. Sometimes he just says things and all we can hear is his father's words coming out.

It becomes second habit to deny it to push it down to not acknowledge who is. What he wants....what he needs. Michael always Michael. It isn't fair because it isn't just hurting Alex anymore no Alex is hurting someone else.

It was easier not acknowledge being gay.. Or attest it used to be. Bur since he he returnedto to Roswell so many thingshad changed for Alex.

And nothinghad changed one look at Michael and he a lovestruck 17 year again reason doesn't factor in. And all of Alex's carefully constructed walls and defense mechanisms and just fall . Not fair .. not fair that after all this time one look could reduce them down to that state. It's terrifying and thrilling in so many things that Alex doesn't want to acknowledge.

First kisses or stargazing.

He's an airman and officer.. he had gone so long ignoring a huge part of himself. But when Alex saw Michael again it was impossible hold back the rush of emotion being Michael brought. The same emotions that lead Alex to reckles decisions as a kid. Despite the ability to breathe for the first time and what feels like forever . Despite the acceleration and the freeing since that he always felt around Michael he tries to push back down pretty fine it's a lot harder to bottle those things back up and it had been before. The carefully constructed walls doesn't go back up the same way. And there's an easiness when he's not with Michael because he wonders where he is what he's doing is he okay.. no answers. Lashing out. Saying things that he couldn't take back Alex understands what he's doing. He doesn't understand how to do them.

He had hurt the person he loved the most. The only person who ever really loved him and he's afraid sorry isn't enough. Alex splashes his face again and when he can breath again he pays for his beer and waves off thickened look liz and Maria sent him as he makes his excuses and says good night.

When he gets back to the cabin he decided to try to talk to Michael. Try to explain his side..at at least he knows Michael did get out and experience things outside of roswell. That's all he'd wanted for Michael's kid he didn't want Michael being held back by this town. His decisions to come backwards on and Alex respected that in fact he was grateful that he got a chance to see Michael again despite everything.. he would have wondered he would have missed Michael had he not seen him at the reunion. Had Michael just moved away and never came back. So yes Alex makes plans to talk to Michael.. because despite all the years building up walls and making barriers. He finds that living without Michael hurts more than trying to deny himself. And hurting Michael is simply not acceptable.he had joined the Air Force to get away from the violence in his life but also so that he didn't have to watch as someone he loved got hurt again. Alex was done walking away. he still needed to work on himself but if Michael was willing and so was he. Maybe they can figure something out all he knows is he's tired.and he really misses Michael. ............

"Hes a warlock Guerin he wouldn't Jinx you he would just turn you into toad or something." Kyle pointed out.

"That's not funny "Alec warned." My sister is still traumatized from the time Lorenzo got turned into lizard by Magnus's dad. We didn't actually notice anything for a couple of days and then I happen to notice that little tiny sign in aquarium saying- help me." Kyle looks at Alec like he's trying to figure out whether Alec is lying or not." Seriously Lightwood? I was just joking. "Alec gave Kyle his best bitch face." But I'm not."

"Look toad or no toad I made my point he could do worse." Kyle sounding slightly annoyed now.

"Actually it was a lizard" Michael says. Alec shoots him a warning look." You know he's High Warlock right?"Alec says giving his best I'm the head of the Institute and I'm very disappointed in you look..Michael isn't completely impervious to it ...in fact Alec was able to make a lot nervous downworlders cave in minutes .

"Yeah we'll try again." Alex put in before Michael can say anything. " And stop accusing our team leader of jinxing us. "Alex says giving Kyle and Michael hard look and turns back to Alec. Who sighs. " Okay. But I got metting with Magnus and the rest of the downworld cabinet. I do not want to be called back here because one of you guys are in the Infirmary .' Alec gave them glare and kisses Simon.

And after a few beats Michael pops up.. "for the record the infirmary thing was only one time and it's because Clary decided that she was going to use a sunlight rune on the wrong demon." Simon shifts uncomfortably." yeah let's not do that again , because getting a broken arm cause I got thrown into a brick wall is embarrassing I'm a vampire and should've known better."

The day Alex leaves is hard on them both.

They stood at the bus stop and Michael decided to try one more time. He edged closer after making sure
they had time. Good 20mins before Alex's bus got there, he had wantedto drive Alex but Alex told his dad had boughta ticket already."Don't go Alex." He begs Alex.He doesn't understand why was Alex leaving? Fear grips Michael,he'd enrolled in classes at UNM. Hed spent time with Alex and his friends it was strained but no one was fighting. Alex was happy. So why?

Alex looks sad he isnt wearing makeup his piercings gone. While Michael thinks it looks odd. Alex is still the most beautiful boy Michael has ever seen." i want to stay Michael ." he says softly not looking at him. "But i need an education and i didn't get a scholarship. And i can get it in that airforce. And you know my dad- .." Michael can se tears in Alex's eyes he feels tears in his own. A lump forms in his troat cause what could he say to that. Fuck. He rubbed his face. Alex had fucked him gently the night before to convice Michael he loved love him and would be back afterbasic. Michael wanted to feel Alex for days. Alex told Michael he might be back on leave soon too.. but Michael hated it. He wanted Alex to leave with him and he hated Jesse Manes was getting what he wanted.

He looks at Alex who was toying at the bracelet mi had made him from after meating diwn some steel scrap.he fasion ito a charm bracelet a tiny yellow to remind Alex of their first kiss. I can eat drugs to remind him of their first time in the truck.a tiny alien to remind of their first public date even if most people thought they catching lunch together. And tiny star cause Michael wanted him to remember the future the dreaed of under the stars. Hed add more some day fir the house they buy orvthd family they make, but for now all he could give Alex is a promise hed be there and they'd make it work.

He shifed closer on the bench. "We'll be okay." he says taking Alex's hand after glancing around to make sure no one could see them. And akex takes shuddering brathe and nods. "Yeah we will. " Michael knows alex loves him it in his looks and touch and wants to tell him now but doesn't he see the bus pull up. Andthey getvup and he handed Alex his bag an hugged him hidin a tint kiss to Alex neck a he hugged him making akex hol him tighter for moment. " I'll miss you. " Alex whispers and Michael coked out a goodbye. Then pulled away and witn firced smile he got on the bus an Michael watches till hes gone waving and a smll smile of his own.he stand there a few mintu till he can no longer see the bus. His filling with tears and the turns to go hes meeting Izzy for coffee he nee the distraction.

With the exception of the fact that they've been together the whole time almost everything else happens exactly as it does in canon. Main storyline stuff I mean..

Alex was glad that they were able to save Max. Glad that Michael was able to heal Max later so that he didn't die after being brought back. Alex was also glad that Michael and Max and Isobel were training themselves in different abilities. By now they all were familiar with firearms and hand-to-hand but it was good that they try each other's powers out.

Michael did try different things though..and found he could do many things these days. Hanging Isobele encouraged him to explore their gifts as a whole. This day they were working on a mental shield. One that stopped projectiles Alex had been worried there for a little at first he watched them for a little while . He tapped out when they when they pelting ecch other with tennis balls what hey did figure out is that Michael had never got sick he didn't drop his shield and Isobele wound with a few bruises but she was fine. And Max bitch for days for robbing her guard. Alex isn't sure who she glared at more Michael who pelted her with tennis balls or Max who is giving her shit over getting distracted droppingher guard.

But Michael took them all out to dinner and Isobel forgave him..Alex always enjoyed the time he had with Michael and his siblings . While he had grown up with Michael and had dated him from a long time now a he saw a different side of Michael he was softer and more patient with him than he was with other people. He was really only that way with Alex but it was a different dynamic Isobele and Max he was patient he was a good brother.An watching them helped Alex to see what he wanted with Greg and Clay. And maybe Flint someday though his problems with Flint was a lot bigger then simple sibling rivalry.. Alex at least hoped now that his father was dead that things would get better really wasn't sure that it would.

Their father had indoctrinated Flint with a lot of hate both for aliens and homosexuality in general. But every now and again Alex saw of the he used to know it Alex gave hope that maybe his brother could be reached. Or maybe not either way Alex just getting to a good point in his life and he wasn't going to allow all of that overshadow everything that he and Michael had built and we're continuing to build.

He and Michael were doing well relationship wise..thing were amazing actually. And it's not like after 11 years that he was taking their relationship for granted he knows how lucky he is.. he looks at Max and he sees that Max and Liz took years to get back together. He's lucky that he and Michael found a way to make it work while he was enlisted.. he made Michael and their relationship his first priority. It had bent difficult somtimes because they had spent long periods of time without seeing each other when he was enlisted. He did get chances to talk to Michael using one of Facetime apps fairly regularly. And they used messagesand emails. Phones messaging. Email sure.. but it wasn't enough you like to be able to actually hold michael. But after don't ask don't tell was repealed and September in 2011 he decided that he wasn't reenlisting. Alex still had to wait another year beforehe free and clear but after that and Michael had all the time in the world.

In 2013 after his enlistment was up and he came home permanently to Michael. He and Michael took alot time catching up after that and their family and friends were good about leaving them to the privacy for which Alex was grateful. After his service was up he decided to start his own security firm. He ran security for Michael's company as well a many other s around Roswell it modest success for the first few years but now he was doing very well even had a second firm in Albuquerque. A friend of his from his date code breaking was no running that office.

And he could say he was happy.. that they were happy.

Michael and an old friend from college decided to join a major corporation. Said Corporation needed an office in Roswell and they had found promising engineers in both Joe and Michael. Alex was glad that Michael was doing what he had always wanted to do. And Alex was able to make sure that Michael was protected he was at home and work it gave Alex Comfort after so many years of wandering and wishing he could be home with Michael.

Michael worked for West Tech a major corporation as an electric engineer and computer science. Basically Michael liked engineering and computers making software these days but that was only a small part of what Michael's company did. They both lived in Alex's cabin and they were out to Max and Isobel and Maria but most the town didn't know yet. And Alex was still working on that it wasn't that he was ashamed of being gay. He just couldn't shake a lot of pain that had shrouded him for many years.

But he didn't freak out when people saw them together around town and assumed the were together. They were easing in to hand holding in public Michael was being patient with him therapy helped and their friends acceptance and support also helped. After year of abuse and internalized homophobia Alex was learning to accept himself. Be happy with himself.. this was a struggle for him but he was getting there. He loved Michael and Michael was his first priority.

Their kisses were just as amazing as the first kiss and every time Michael looks at Alex it's the first rime he fel the want and to touch first time. He doesn't really understand it maybe an alien thing but at this point Alex doesn't care.

Michael helped with the rest of Alex's clothes and quickly got rid of his own. He covers Alex again making Alex groan and grind up into Michael.

Alex loses coherency when Michael takes Alex into his mouth. They both lose all sense of time it isn't until much later when they're cuddling . And Michael kisses him." Happy anniversary baby." Michael says gently kissing him again. Oh yeah it was after midnight. .11 years ago today Michael kissed him in the museum." Happy anniversary. " Alex says into the next kiss.

He was happy to have his museum guy keep him forever.

Season 2 ep 1 fic

So I was listening to a lot of Sleeping at Last Saturn.. the words- I couldn't help ask but to see it one more time... stuck in my head.

For the record Michael blames Liz.

Since Liz and Isobel both told him he'd been helping Liz create a treatment that would help regenerate cells. And hopefully help in healing Max's heart.. they had decided to try it on Michael.And no Michael isn't upset about that part. He is however is upset about losing several months of memories.

The last thing Michael clearly remembered was trying to talk Alex after the drive-in. And feeling a great deal of grief over being shot down again.. and so much had happened in between.

Max was dead and Michael and Liz were trying to fix that okay that made sense.

Alex was sending Michael worried texts( and Michael wasn't totally ignoring he simply didn't know what to say so he kept his answers short and to the point.)

Michael responded to Alex mostly updates on what was going on with the serum was Liz and Isabel okay.. and to let Alex know that he was alive. Michael didn't mention the non-memory thing though he didn't want Alex to worry.

and honestly Michael wouldn't even know where to start to explain what's going on in his head these days. And Michael doesn't even think Kyle knows but Liz is working on it. So yeah Michael avoids talking about it outside of Isobel or Liz. It feels weird to have lost so many months.

So Noah was dead too apparently he had been the one who killed those girls.

Michael's mind spins with all the possibilities after Liz explains what happened. Why haven't anyone noticed?

.How could they have not seen it? Michael had felt it that night that . He found Isobel with Rosa Michael knew something was wrong. But he never thought that she was being controlled.. the wrongness of that moment and he was purely struck dumb. His inaction had cost Rosa her life. Because Michael couldn't believe that it was happening.. he knew something felt wrong looking back he knew..stupid

Michael should have known with his gifts he should have known. They should have figured it out sooner. God Izzy .

It makes Michael sick to think that Noah had been controlling Isobel for years. And izzy seems.. okay on outside. But Michael knew it was an act. Michael knew she was hurting he knew she felt betrayed he knew she felt raw and violated. He knew she wasn't okay... And fuck Michael isnt sure if he'd ever be okay if something like that had happened to him.

Fucking Noah. He ignore the impulses that told him that he needed a drink.

And while Michael wasn't directly tethered to Isabel the way Max was he can still feel her pain bleeding through the bond . He would like to think that over the years he knew her well enough to know how much it hurt her and if she needed him. First the knowledge don't know she had killed those girls but also now Noah robbing her of her agency then losing Max. He trys to keep it together and watch over her. But it hurts.. Max.

Isobel likes exercise and Michael attended kickboxing classes with her.Also some hand-to-hand combat stuff, and she ran a lot and was experimenting with telekinesis.

While training one day Michael asked her if she could control electricity like Max or play with fire like Michael . Pick things up that were very heavy.. Izzy could use telekinesis that was it, move things in short bursts of energy he encouraged her to keep going that it doesn't happen overnight that his took years. She wasn't good at fire though so he figures that some things are inherited or are you neat to the individual. It kind of figured that before kind of like when Michael touched something he sometimes got visions. Maria doesn't do that Isobel doesn't do that and Max doesn't do that. He really doesn't think Noah did either but Michael can't be sure. But isobel nre gifts mostly made thingsovenor blow up and steadily they were seeing progress. And Michael could feel her frustration on top of everything through their bond.. Izzy was driven. To never let this happen again to never be weak again.. it was a mantra.

And Michael's mantra was just to keep breathing until Max could breathe again. And he knows that it isn't possible really rest until he could feel his brother and their bond again.

Michael remembers talking to Izzy one day about his powers when and combustion issues these days. the mind blast growing up had been hard. And ad Michelle the most trouble h growing up he get mad and things would just explod. And he told Isobel one day while they had been talking about their powers..making her cock her head . So how did you get control she finally asked quietly. ." Practice " he says making her snort and roll her eyes she rolls her eyes Michael this is serious I can't be out in public and around people if they can't control it. And nods because he does understand. It isn't just about protecting the world around her from her. It's exposure that she fears.. but he tells her that it's true that practice practice is how he got control. Even more recently his ironclad control had been tested with a new power of fire.. and only Liz is insistence that he should be able to do it kept him going.

Isobel seems to not want to be caught unaware again, not he blames her they should have been testing their own abilities years ago. And yes Michael had been even when Isabel and Maxine to not care about being alien or working on their own abilities.. Michael had been trying -, but looking back Michael is keenly aware that he , Max and Isobel could have done more. For example what he's angry he goes through a lot of toasters and if he happens tested his surging and telekinesis he wouldn't have been able to deal with appliances without his emotions making it pain in the ass..

And looking back they could have done more.. they could have been not so ill prepared. But it's kind of hard to figure someone like Noah in their life.. but Michael still feels like they could have done more

When he asked Liz for her help.She believed he could do other things like combustion. She told him she believes Michael had the abity to manipulate matter that the friction can cause cubusttion which can cause an explosion and theoretically a fire .. it takes them in a while for him to make fire. Which can also cause explosions kind of sort of were tied to his emotions whether he was angry or not , getting control of that was hard. But he was able to create fires and controlled explosions. And much light but it's telekinesis he learned not to affect everything around him when he's angry okay m[t of the time.Isobel couldnt so this. she just wound up with a headache and sick for days, she was however a lot closer to understanding her own telekinetic powers she didn't have Michael's telekinetic explosions though. Also tied to emotions with her it took a lot for her to dig inside of herself to make things move but she was able to do it now he can see that it was a huge deal for her between her karate self-defense classes and that he thinks she's coping a lot better. Fuck he doesn't know if he could to find out someone you love for years it's not just keeping a secret from you they're actively mind controlling you. Fuck . Michael doesn't even know how to process that...he can't imagine what it's like to be Isobel right now.

Kyle came by to check on them sometime mostly just Isobel. No sometimes he would watch Michael as if you were trying to puzzle something out. The day before Noah's funeral Isobel had grabbed Michael for a charity fundraiser he was annoyed because he had to shave and trim his hair. But at least it gave him a new suit for the next day well suit jacket she wanted him to wear a black shirt underneath the black jacket for the next day. Blue the night before.. oh well. Kyle had stopped by of course to check Isobel to make sure she wasn't overdoing it when she was testing her own telekinetic. Powers again like last time. And Kyle was standing in the doorway watching Michael and nd Michael lost his temper... thankfully nothing blew up.

"What Valenti?" he says taking off his tie .

He was tired and really didn't want to go a round with Valenti right now. Michael is fairly sure the doctor meant well so he didn't throw him out. He knew that Isabel would be kind of angry if he did since he was there checking on her.. but still.Kyle's head Kyle's head dips for a minute and then he looks back up. As if he's hedging to whether he should mention something or not-'oh for fuck sake just spit it out man?"
he says. "Have you seen Alex ?" Okey well he didn't expect that." Michael shakes is it "no but I've been texting him. Why ?"Isobel had told him about Caulfield. He can't think about that stuff right now.

But he doesn't blame Kyle looks for any of it.. Kyle bites his lip." Look Guerin I wanted to apologize for um m what happened at Caulfield." Michael shakes his head and Lisa hand to forrestal stalls anymore his apology.and honestly it was Jim not Kyle Hathat had been in the wrong. Not Kyle he wasn't going down the hole we are not our fathers around but he thinks that Kyle should know that. He does however make a note to talk to Alex about that because Alex never got that memo..." It's okay it's not your fault Valenti ." Kyle gives him a sharp look "it's not Alex's fault either you know?" Wait does Kyle really think that Michael blames Alex ? "I'm not blaming him Kyle. " Kyle's eyes narrows and at Michael " Then and why aren't you talking to him." Michael sighs.

shit.. Michael flounders for a moment.

He was tired' I am talking to him or well texting. . but right now I'm spending most of my time workimg with Liz to make a serum to heal alien tissue for Max's heart. I'm also trying keep Isobel from exploding because shTe misses Max so much." Mixchael suddenly feels a head ache coming ont. It helps that Kyle doesn't ask him anything and that he can't answer. Ever since he woke up that in the lab Michael had not been sleeping very much and all Michael really remembers is the drive-in trying to talk to Alex in the pony. And everything else is a confusing jumble he had been scrambling to catch up since he woke up and try to figure out why to remember was told that it was probably the healing although it wasn't supposed to do that. Kyle noods, then guester down at Michael suit" looks good on you by the way. "Anything else for empty Kyle shakes his head. And leaves guys weird.

He had to go to funeral of the man who murdered ..-or at least contributed to the death of Michael's brother and mind controlled his Isobel for years yeah he's so wanted to be there he might perhaps not have masked all of his disdain for having to be there. Unfortunately for sister was not as fortunate...

And oh yeah Alex knew he was an alien and Isobel had tried to explain Caulfield but admits that she only caught some of it it .Michael's mother had died honestly he's still numb over that.. he doesn't know what to think or feel about that. Years of trying to find her years of trying to figure out where his family could have gone and they were here the whole time. Yeah it's much like with Max it was too much to feel and it was shutting his mind down so his mind shied away from those feelings and thoughts. Michael could process those feelings later.

it was too much.Because Alex's father had rigged the prison to blow. And Flint being the asshole he was was there and in charge of the area. He honestly wants to see Alex and see if he's okay God the sociopathic family. He had known that Flint was an asshole when they were kids but damn all that. He never expected that went would throw his lot in with Jesse.

Alex and Flint had faught and he was most likely still alive but Michael's Mother wasn't. Okay she was but he couldn't think about that right now. We'll ..Michael's mother and the b other aliens had died because Jessie Manes was an asshole and a monster. no surprise there but genocidal that was new. Isobel knew a little bit more about project Shepherd apparently because Alex and Kyle had been going through the files.Jesse means had been watching Max and her and Michael and he has seem to know that they were aliens for a while. But it was something that Max had done the night of the drive-in something about that blackout had pushed him into action. L . Alex had gotten into the bunker after following his dad apparently.. and pretty much had been included in before that about aliens. He had followed him to confront his father on this ridiculous quest of his..and what forces hand Isabel didn't know. So yeah Alex and Kyle had been feeding them information as they went through the files. Isobel had told him that they had she knew he and Alex had been off on and off thing much like . And Michael was too frustrated right now to deal with it max she had suspected something. Michael honestly didn't know how to deal. He couldn't remember any of it and then he finds a guitar in his Airstream and looks down at his unscarred hand and realized why Alex had given it to him.

This is how he wound up talking to Alex unprepared for the emotion . Just one look especially the softer more vulnerable looks that Alex gives him. And his anger and his confusion and all that settles and to being caught up in the moment. Trying to focus on what Alex is saying.. trying to tell him that he couldn't take his guitar.. but the words just didn't come out right.He had been keen on pushing Alex away until he could deal with everything that's going on but somehow as Alex asked him to run away with him or would he have?

". . If it had left.. If I had gotten out and asked you to go with me would you have?"Michael doesn't fight the urge to reach out and study and unsteady Alex who does not have his prosthetic on. Looking at him with big vulnerable eyes.

not fair And his anger spikes.."why now?' But the looks into Alex's dark eyes and stops him.. the vulnerability. It was asking him to try again though Alex couldn't verbalize the words.

So not fair.

But Michael knows he's never able no to Alex when he looks at him like that.

" I've never been able to say no to you Alex. " he says finally says. It had hurt so much to watch Alex leave him at the drive-in. He sees relief in Alex's eyes. He wonders what happened to put such sadness on Alex's face was it Max's death? Michael's losses? He really wants to ask and he really doesn't want to know.

God Alex is beautiful. Michael just realized it had been so long since he had seen Alex with longer hair God had it been junior year? Fucking Air Force taking so much from them.

Alex moves closer and Michael instinctively pulls Alex chest. "Alex. "he says in wonder as he looks down those brown eyes widen and dart down to his mouth. Fuck it. He kisses Alex like he wanted to for a while the kind of kiss that left him wistful and wanting more. And the sweetness almost hurts when he pulls back there tears in Alex's eyes.

And a memory hits him and all the breath goes out of him. And for a moment he was lost in sensation..

..Their my family Alex!...

God ..pain so much pain.

'....maybe..but you are mine!.' And he sees Alex's pleading face.. and his beautiful dark eyes and the fear .. .. and Michael wants nothing more than to do what Alex whatever he wants.

So much too much.. caulfield.. his mother.. Alex. explosions and grief..and it slams into him full force . And Alex vulnerable and open talking about his father.

' I shouldn't left you behind.. 'said with such lose and regret that Michael couches Alex' tighter into his credit Alex doesn't seem to care. He just holds Michael closer.

And and Michael's mind spends further back back to their first time after Alex came home this last time.. sunlight through the window. Making Alex the most beautiful thing that Michael had ever seen.. stealing his breath.Alex is tracing Michaels jawline, Michael remembers when he'd do that l sometimes if they were together long enough. Sometimes when they were cuddling the nights they were star gazing..they had so many dreams of the future.

And it always with when we get older..we...

And a greif that hits him so strong it feels like Michael had been punched, threatening to bring Michael to his knees.. butbut instead of pulling away from Alex. Michael instinctively he pulls him l closer. Resting his head against Alex's and just braves until the pain goes.. and then he let it go. Michael feels Alex hands on his face and he lets it sooth him further, he feather's over Alex face with gentle so unlike them except in some of their more vulnerable moments. And he feels Alex relax against chest. And it feels like heady sense of wonder.. and falling and flying no fear of crashing..and it feels like all all those moments in between kisses.. that hard one paece. Those two broken boys had found all those years ago.. it feels like hope. And it feels like Alex has given him back his heart..

What's with the suddent burst of memories? Michael can feel Alexs warm breath on his skin," We need to get better a this whole talking thing . " he says is storking that hair. Alex shivers as kisses Michael kisses neck just under his ear. Alex nods " Yeah we do." He says breathing deeply and thatcsounds good to Michael.
