Chapter 1: ⇠House Call⇢

Chapter Text

Copper filled Gabriel's mouth as he stared down at the paper, 'Medically discharged until further notice.' "It won't be forever, Gabe, just until your leg and ribs heal. It shouldn't be too long unless you break something else." Angela explained, rolling her eyes. The older male gave her a look that earned a soft chuckle and a hand on the shoulder. He made a noise as he slid off the bed, wrapping an arm around his side while hobbling out the swinging doors. He walked to his small room, packing a few months' worth of clothing and a few important items before slinging the band over his shoulder and driving back to the apartment he and Jack shared.

Once inside, he closed the door harder than he intended, throwing the bag onto the couch and staring at the clock. It was only six; Jack wouldn't be off until ten at night, maybe even longer depending on how fast he could escape the office. Slumping against the couch, Gabe hissed in pain, scooped up the remote, and started flicking through the channels for a few minutes. After a while, the male gave up, tossing the remote to the side, and then hobbled into the kitchen.

With his nose scrunching up at the dirty pans and bowls, the blonde soldier tried baking again, only to give up after a week. Even though Gabe didn't want to admit it, he had a large, sweet tooth, making it harder to resist Jack's baking. A hand immediately went to his stomach. Luckily, the blonde male only tried it a few times before finally giving up. But it felt like no matter what Gabriel tried, he couldn't lose the baby fat he gained from it. Fortunately, it was easy to lose the extra pounds with basic training and all the missions Winston sent him on with Cassidy. But now that he has been medically discharged, panic has filled his stomach. Would he be able to keep the weight off? He guessed he could always relax until then and then work it off afterward.

Gabe knew his main problem was not being able to say no to the blonde; all he had to do was pout and tell the male he made it specifically for him with his large blue eyes while holding up the plate. Jack begged him to at least try a nibble, which led Gabe to eat the whole plate and regret it later that night when the numbers on the scale went up. As much as Gabriel didn't want to admit it, the sex was good. He did notice the blonde's eyes lingering toward his stomach now and again, which caused Jack to try baking again. Shaking the thought from his head, the male grabbed bottled water and the sandwich the blonde left in the fridge for him. Gabe took a bite of his sandwich while hobbling back into the living room and sitting back down on the couch.

Flipping through the channels as he ate, when he couldn't find something to watch, he switched to his phone. Checking his phone every few minutes, making sure Jack didn't text him or even Ana to try and convince him to retire yet again. If Gabriel was honest with himself, he has been thinking about leaving Overwatch, but he is mainly nervous. He's been working with Talon for so long that he was worried that he wouldn't be able to sit still long enough. All it took was for Jack to ask Gabriel, and he'd bend to the blonde's will.

***

Gabriel didn't know he had fallen asleep until something touched his shoulder, causing him to jolt awake. He snapped his head to the side, finding the blonde soldier next to him. "Hey. When did you get home?" He yawned, glancing at the clock, and realized it was midnight.

"A few minutes ago, what were you doing at home? I thought you had missions." Jack asked.

"I broke a few ribs and injured my leg during the last mission. Angie benched me." He answered.

"Why didn't you call me? I would have come home earlier." The blonde male exclaimed

"I knew how busy you were today; I didn't want to bother you with something so minor," Gabe admitted with a shrug.

Jack shook his head and said, "No, it doesn't matter, Gabe. I'm your boyfriend; nothing is too minor." He scolded.

The other male snorted, "I'm sorry." He whispered, kissing the other on the nose.

"I'll call work in the morning and tell them I'll be home until you recover," Jack announced, standing.

When Gabe opened his mouth to argue, Jack held up his finger, shaking his head. "Won't they need their strike commander?" He simply asked.

"I'm your boyfriend first, before their strike commander." The blonde male stated this, putting his hands on his hips. "Did Angie give you medication?" He quizzed.

"On the counter, she said it will last me for a few weeks, but I should get them refilled," Gabriel answered, stretching.

The blonde soldier walked into the kitchen, scooping up the small orange pill bottle. I read the label for a few minutes. "She gave you the good stuff, surprised you're awake right now." He snorted.

"I didn't take one when I got home; I figured I would when you got home. I didn't want to miss you coming home." The other male replied, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

Gabe watched Jack open the bottle, putting two large white pills into his hand and then got a glass of water before holding them out for the other. The male sighed, taking the pills slowly into his hand, scrunching his nose up, and then popping them into his mouth, shuddering.

"It shouldn't take too long to take effect; we should get you to bed before you get too heavy for me to carry you," Jack stated, helping the other off the couch. He wrapped one arm around his waist while Gabe hobbled into the bedroom. The blonde male helped him into his pajamas before slipping on his own. Bouncing onto the bed next to Gabriel, he then flung an arm over his shoulder.

"Good night," Jack called.

"Good night, love," Gabe replied with a soft chuckle.

Chapter 2: ⇠Retirement Plan⇢

Summary:

Jack talks to Ana about retirement, as well as picks up some cookbooks for home.

Chapter Text

Jack glanced down at the sleeping form next to him, smirking softly, and kissed Gabriel on the cheek. Before quickly getting dressed, he grabbed his bag from the chair next to the door. Unlocking his car, the blonde tossed his bag into the passenger seat before climbing into the car and starting to drive toward the base. Once at the base, he grabbed his bag, waving at the others as he slowly made his way down the hallway toward his office. As the male sat down, he glanced down at the silver band on his finger, smirking slightly, before turning his attention to his work.

***

Jack looked down at the small medical file, which Angela slapped on his desk with a hand on her hip. "You'll never guess who I had to force medical leave on." She stated.

"I have a few guesses, but I am going to go with my husband," Jack smirked, scooping the folder up.

"Bearly got him to accept; you should talk to him about retirement." She sighed, slumping into the chair in front of the blonde.

Jack barked out a laugh. "You know what he'll say? With everything that has happened, I doubt he'll settle down anytime soon." He answered.

"Still, you both have done enough. He deserves to have nice things; please remind him of that." Angela sighed, leaning forward on the desk.

"I'll try; I should talk to Ana about it first," Jack argued, holding up the file.

Angela chuckled lowly, leaning back against the chair and folding her arms over her chest. "You know Ana will happily sign both of your medical or retirement papers." She replied.

"She just wants to take over; she's older than both of us. Maybe she should retire." Jack joked.

"Ana will retire when death is at her door; you know both she and Rein are worse than you and Gabe." The blonde answered.

"Have ideas about how you're going to keep Gabriel occupied?" The woman asked.

"It'll be easier with his broken foot, but I'm sure he's already crawling on the walls. I have a few ideas." Jack smirked.

Angela rolled her eyes and said, "I unfortunately have patients to get to; try not to burn down your own house."

"It's not me you have to worry about," Jack smirked, scooping up his files and starting to walk out of his office.

Jack made his way towards his room first, packing a few bags of his and Gabriel's clothing. Grabbing both of their tablets as well as the other male's iPod, Jack grabbed a few more items and started walking towards Ana's, setting his bags down on the stool in front of the door. The blonde slumped in the chair as the woman in front of him smirked and shuffled the papers in front of her to the side. "I hear Reaps has been sidelined." She mused.

"Yeah, he's not taking it very well." The blonde sighed.

"Of course not," Ana replied. "I take it that you haven't talked to him about retirement." She added, sipping her tea.

"Not yet; you know how he is, Ana. After Talon, I feel like he has to move or he'll feel like he's exploding." The blonde explained.

"It's going to be worse if you don't talk to him now, Jack." She advised.

"I know, I'm just scared he'll freak out on me and leave. I just got him back, Ana." The male admitted.

"You know he won't leave; I think everything you two have been through proves he loves you." The sniper concluded.

"You're right; are you and Rein going to be okay with us gone?" He smirked.

The older woman rolled her eyes. "I'm sure Overwatch will be fine, Jack," she replied.

"The real question is, how are you going to keep yourself occupied with Gabe's whining?" She quizzed.

"I have my ways; I was thinking about taking up baking finally." The blonde answered with a smile.

"How are you going to get that past Gabriel? You know how he is with sweets?" She asked, arching an eyebrow.

"As much as he wants to tell people he hates sweets, I know him. He'll probably pretend to hate them, but secretly, he's just a child." Jack replied.

Ana barked out a laugh, sipping her tea for a few moments before speaking again. "You two were made for each other then because you are a child too." She joked.

"Very funny; I forgot to laugh," Jack replied sarcastically.

***

Jack flipped through a few cookbooks, adding them to his ever-growing pile. He glanced down at his cart, internally flinching, and at the dent in his wallet, but half of him knew it would be worth it. He continued down the aisle, grabbing a few ingredients and cooking pans before grabbing a few groceries. After paying, Jack loaded the bags into the back of the car before heading home. The drive back home was silent. The blonde glanced at the passenger seat and let out a small sigh, pulling into the parking space. Jack loaded up his arms, quickly walked up the stairs, set the bags on the counter, and glanced around the living room, noticing the older male was sleeping on the couch.

Jack walked further into the living room, gently sitting down next to the male. "Babe, I'm home." He whispered, gently shaking his shoulder.

Gabriel jolted away, his eyes still dazed, as he whipped his head around and stared at Jack for a long moment. "What are you doing at home?" He quizzed groggily.

"Ana, let me out early since you got hurt. Plus, we talked about retirement." He said.

"Are you thinking about it or something?" Gabriel yawned again, sitting up slightly.

"To be honest, I was, after everything that has happened to the both of us. I thought it would be good to start settling down." He shrugged.

"Overwatch still needs us, don't they?" Gabe asked.

"Ana and Reinhardt will handle everything, plus we have a few younger agents that want to help the world. I thought it would be a good chance to reconnect." The blonde answered.

Gabriel was silent for a long moment, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "If that's what you want to do, Jack, then I'll follow." He answered.

"I don't want you to follow Gabe; I want you to choose too." Jack sighed.

"You know what I would say, but I can't sit long enough to even choose. I agree, though." The other man shrugged.

Jack smiled, leaning his head on Gabriel's shoulder. "I was thinking about taking up baking," Jack announced.

"You're going to burn the house down; if I remember correctly, you burned toast." Gabriel joked.

"Talon has been messing with your head too long; I can cook just fine." The blonde huffed.

"Whatever you say, boy scout." Gabriel chuckled, kissing the other's cheek.

Chapter 3: ↞Pancake Art↠

Summary:

Jack starts his new hobby with some pancakes

Chapter Text

Jack woke up early that morning, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he pulled back the blankets. Stretching, the blonde leaned over, kissing the form next to him before padding into the bathroom and then hopping into the shower. After his shower, Jack walked down the stairs into the kitchen, turning on his baking show before he started grabbing the ingredients he needed to start cooking. With the show playing in the background, Jack mixed the batter and added in the blueberries, just as the contestants started their final decorating challenge. The aroma of the pancakes cooking on the griddle filled the room, and Jack's stomach growled hungrily. After they were cooked, Jack moved them onto the plate and then moved on to the next batch. The blonde lost count of how many plates he had made until Gabriel appeared in the kitchen, his eyes blown wide as his brows furrowed with confusion. "What's all this?" He quizzed.

Jack set the bowl down quickly. "You should have told me you were awake; I would have come to help you." He stated.

The Latino chuckled, hobbling toward the fridge, and grabbed a bottle of water. "I'm not a child, Jack, just a broken foot." He chuckled.

The blonde glanced down at the casted limb. Then back up at Gabriel, making a noise in the back of his throat. "Still, I know you're used to doing things yourself, but you must relax." He argued.

The older male shook his head, putting a hand on his shoulder. "I'll tell you when I'm not fine, promise." He said. "You never answered my question, What's with the plates of pancakes?" He added.

The blonde went back to his batter of pancake mix and said, "I wanted to practice some recipes I saw on my show; the first episode is pancakes." He answered.

Gabriel arched an eyebrow, his eyes flicking down to the plates. "So you made enough to feed an army?" He questioned.

Jack smiled, setting the bowl down and picking up a plate. "Percisly, now try this!" He beamed, shoving a pancake into the other male's mouth. Gabriel silently ate the pancake, making a few noises here and there. "So?" Jack urged.

The older male shrugged. "It's fine," he answered, sipping his water and then popping his pain pills into his mouth.

Jack watched the older male for a long moment and said, "Just fine? What's wrong with it?" He asked.

Gabirel swallowed, "Was a little heavy with the buttermilk; could have used regular milk instead." He explained.

Jack quickly picked up another one and shoved it into Gabriel's mouth. "How about this one?" He quizzed.

The Latino growled slightly, narrowing his eyes at the blonde before sighing. "Fine," he answered.

The blonde rolled his eyes, putting a hand on his hip. "What's wrong with this one?" He asked.

The older male inhaled and exhaled. Staring at Jack for a moment, "Jack, I hate blueberries..." He trailed off.

Jack felt himself shrink slightly. "Oh right, I forgot. I'm sorry." He sighed.

Gabriel chuckled softly, kissing the younger male's cheek. "I don't see why you are so stung up about this; you never liked to cook during SEP or Overwatch." He said.

Jack inhaled, "I just want to make up as much lost time as I can with you, and I honestly never had time during Overwatch. You always tell me to take up a hobby." He admitted.

The Latino was silent for a long moment, thinking to himself. "Why not try something other than pancakes? Crepes are the same as pancakes." He suggested.

The blonde groaned, leaning against the counter. "You hate crepes," he stated.

Gabriel rolled his eyes. "They are the same; one is just thinner and normally with fruit. Just because I hate blueberries, not other fruit dummies." He pointed out, "Why not try something with strawberries or blackberries?" He suggested it once again.

Jack turned his attention toward his show, then back toward Gabriel. "It would be a good chance to try something new," he said, rubbing the back of his head.

"Look, I support you in whatever hobby you want to try, Jackie; if it makes you feel better, I can taste-test stuff for you and let you know my notes." Gabriel said.

"I would help." Jack muttered, his eyes flicking toward the other male's stomach. The notion of Gabriel growing bigger made Jack's cheek heat up. The blonde pictured the two of them on the couch, Jack feeding him by hand and massaging the big sphere that rested on the Latino's lap. The blonde shoved the thought to the back of his mind, feeling his member quiver slightly. "Can you at least try some more before I throw them away?" He asked, holding up a plate.

"You don't need to throw them out; calm down, Indiana. We can just have leftover breakfast for a few days while you straighten out your recipe." Gabriel said.

Jack glanced at the mixing bowl, raking a hand down his face in frustration. "You don't even know how long that will be; it could take me weeks." He complained.

Gabriel chuckled. "You can't be good at everything, Indiana. You need practice." He stated. "You can always rope Cole into eating some too; I'm sure he needs something to eat in the mornings." He added, holding out a hand.

The blonde was furious at sharing his food with anybody but Gabriel, though part of him wasn't sure why, as he had always enjoyed sharing it without any issues. The other half wasn't sure if he was ready to acknowledge that the major reason he wanted to take up this activity for the Latino was, in part, to prevent him from being boarded, which would cause him to climb the walls. Jack secretly understood that part of him also wanted to feed Gabriel his food and watch the Latino grow bigger to the point where his clothes didn't fit him anymore. The thought of the older male blaming his shrinking clothing on the washer caused Jack's member to twitch once more. Inhaling and exhaling softly, Jack opened his mouth to finally speak. "Yeah, maybe. I want to try and get the recipe perfect before someone else eats them." He lied.

"Good idea; I don't want to poison anyone." Gabriel teased.

"You're so funny. I forgot to laugh." Jack answered arrogantly.

"It's a gift," The Latino grinned, grabbed a plate of pancakes, and then disappeared into the living room.

Chapter 4: ⇠Seeds of Doubt⇢

Summary:

While Jack gets his stuff from his office Ana is on babysitting duty for Gabriel. The Latino opens up about his doubts worrying Ana.

Notes:

Sorry this chapter is late, I started it last night but didn't have the motivation to finish it. Also please be patient with me I am trying to take my time with this fic instead of just jumping into the weight gain portion. It should be coming up in the next few chapters though.

Chapter Text

Jack sighed quietly and turned from the bed, staring at the sleeping figure beside him. Following his shower, the blonde padded into the kitchen to reheat some food for the other man before entering the living area and spending a short while browsing through his phone. The man did not say anything until the phone rang three times. "Hey, can you do me a favor?" He enquired.

The older woman chuckled in response. "Well, good morning to you too. If it depends on the favor, then I'd be happy to help." She stated.

"I just need someone to watch Gabe; make sure he doesn't get any more hurt while I get my stuff from the office."

The older sniper nodded. "I should have time after my meeting; should I pick anything up for him?" She questioned.

Jack shook his head, turning his attention back toward the bedroom before speaking. "No, I went overboard yesterday and made pancakes for him, so we have leftovers." He admitted it, rubbing the back of his head.

Ana chuckled once more. "Okay, see you then." She said this before hanging up.

Jack returned to the bedroom, pocketing his phone and giving Gabriel a gentle forehead kiss that caused the other man to roll over and give him a scolding. The blonde got up from his desk chair, picked up his shoulder bag from his desk, and then walked back downstairs, grabbing his wallet and keys before leaving. A few hours later, Ana entered the dimly lit apartment. She glanced around the room before going into the kitchen and turning on the light. Opening the microwave, I discovered that the meal I had eaten earlier had not been touched. The elder sniper rolled her eyes, tossing the meal, then taking ingredients from the refrigerator and getting to work in the kitchen.

Gabriel staggered into the living room shortly after, wiping sleep from his eyes. The man regarded the space attentively, his brows furrowed in confusion. He jumped a little as he entered the kitchen. "What are you doing here?" He asked blearily.

Ana chuckled lightly, plating the food, and then held it out for the male. "Jack asked me to watch you while he got his stuff from his office. But knowing Angela, she'll want him to say goodbye to everyone before that." She explained.

Gabriel gently took the plate, setting it on the counter. "He's really going through with this," he muttered.

The sniper cocked her head to the side and said, "Of course he is; why wouldn't he?" She quizzed.

The Latino picked at his food and said, "Because it could be a mistake, what if he doesn't like a domestic life?" He said.

Ana set her hands on either side of the other's arms, shaking Gabriel slightly. "Okay, calm down; you're spinning. Either way, I'm sure Jack will be fine. He loves you, Gabriel." She reassured.

The male sighed, poking his food some more. "Still, I don't want him to do this just because of me, Ana." He stated.

The older woman gave a quiet smile. "Given what you two have gone through, I doubt that's the primary motivation behind his actions. He can always return if it becomes too much, but you two deserve this time together." She said.

The male's eyes fell to the floor. "I still can't help but think that's my fault." He whispered.

Ana's eyebrows knitted together as she inched closer. "Gabe, do you not want Jack to retire?" She asked lowly.

As he spoke, Gabriel blew out some air and crossed his arms over his chest. "Of course, I want him too." He stammered.

Ana waited for the other man to finish speaking before speaking. "But?" she asked.

Gabriel was silent for a long moment, chewing the inside of his cheek. "I'm worried if I get too comfortable again, something will go wrong." He admitted.

The sharpshooter looked a little surprised and opened her mouth, then closed it again after a little while. At last, Ana let out a sigh and placed a hand on Gabriel's shoulder. "Talon's gone, Gabe. Nobody is going to come after you anymore." She reassured him.

Gabriel moved away from the counter and entered the living room. Ana seated herself next to the elder man as he took a seat on the couch, right behind him. "I'm not worried about them, Ana." He said, his hands obscuring his face.

The older woman put her arms around the shoulders of the other man. Ana rested her head on his shoulder, and they remained silent for a considerable amount of time before she spoke. "Then who are you worried about?" She asked.

Gabriel finally looked up, tears pricking the corners of his eyes. "Me," he admitted.

Ana opened her mouth, but only air came out. The woman's heart was beating hard against her chest, and she exhaled softly. "You? Gabriel, you're not Reaper anymore." She insisted.

Gabriel pulled himself to his feet, and an angry bubble burst in his chest. "I know!" He let out a cry. The man observed Ana twitch a little from the unexpected outburst and then calm down once more. But what happens if our arguments resume? Or supposing this medicine that Angela is prescribing me is only momentary?" He insisted.

The sniper inhaled, "You haven't had an episode for months now; Angela says you're making so much progress." She replied, holding out her hands.

The male formed two fists on either side of him, biting down on his lower lip until he could taste blood. "It's only a matter of time, Ana; what if I-" Gabriel stopped himself from speaking, letting out a shudder. "What if I hurt him?" He asked.

Ana grabbed the other man's arms and pushed herself off the couch. "You're not going to. Gabriel, Talon is no longer here to brainwash you. You are now secure." She said her hands were getting a little tighter.

Gabriel felt the hot tears trail down his cheek. "I'm so scared, Ana," he sobbed.

The sniper pulled the other male into a tight hug, rubbing his back gently. "I know you are, but I promise nothing is going to happen to you." She stated.

The male chuckled, nodding his head. "Thanks, Ana..." He trailed off, wiping the tears away quickly.

The sniper barked out a laugh, shaking her head. "You're my family, Gabriel; I'll always be there for you." She beamed.

Chapter 5: ⇠Cookies Make Everything Better⇢

Summary:

Jack and Gabriel have a long talk about retirement again, out of comfort Jack bakes for his boyfriend and is very surprised by the outcome.

Chapter Text

Anxiety gnawed hungrily at the male's stomach as Gabriel stared at the front door, writhing his hands together while chewing on his bottom lip. The taste of copper filled his mouth, and the thoughts in his head were whirling. He promised Ana that he'd talk to Jack, but it didn't stop the worry. It felt like the past was catching up with him, and Gabriel couldn't help but want to scream. The thought of talking to the blonde sent painful memories through the male. All they ever did during Overwatch was fight, and people would part the sea whenever they heard the two in a screaming match. It always ended with Gabriel begging Jack to listen to him and the blonde waving off his request with paranoia.

The Latino could feel a chuckle in his chest as he stared down at his hands. Half of him wanted to laugh in the blonde's face and gloat about how he was right. But the other half of Gabriel was tired; he was tired of fighting, and he was tired of the nightmares he refused to tell Jack about. But most of all, he was tired of always following everyone else; he followed Jack's dream with Overwatch. Talon was trickier; at first he joined for himself to finally find out who blew his life up, quite literally. But then, as the years passed, it turned into helping Sombra get out, followed by Widowmaker, of course, and then it turned into helping Overwatch take Talon down and leading him to this moment right now, wanting more. Wanting something—or anything for that matter—to himself, the sound of the front door opening snapped him out of his train of thought as he pushed himself from his seat.

Jack walked into the apartment with a large box and a few plastic bags. Gabriel rushed toward the blonde and then helped him set the box onto the table. "You're not supposed to be lifting things." He warned.

The Latino smirked, snoring softly. "I broke my foot, not my arm." He stated it with a sly smile.

The blonde rolled his eyes, walking into the kitchen with the male following close behind him. "Still, I thought you'd be asleep by now. How was Ana?" He questioned.

Gabriel pulled himself onto the counter, watching the male unload the bags. "If I spent all my time sleeping, then I'd be more bored than I already am." He commented. Swallowing, Gabriel glanced down at his hands again, pressing his lips into a thin line. "Speaking of Ana, we need to talk," he added.

The blonde male froze, turning his attention to the other. "Are you okay?" He asked.

The Latino inhaled and exhaled slowly, "N-No." He started. "I-I-'m scared." He added.

The blonde set a hand on Gabriel's leg, gently squeezing. "Talk to me; what's wrong?" He quizzed, concern laced in his voice.

The Latino opened his mouth, but only air came out. He waited a few minutes before opening his mouth to speak again. "I don't know if it's a good idea for you to retire just yet." Gabriel blurted it out.

Jack was silent for a moment, and Gabriel watched his brows knit together for a brief second before relaxing. Gabriel could tell he was upset and wanted to say something, but instead the blonde inhaled and exhaled before speaking. "You said it's what you wanted." He replied.

The larger male opened his mouth, but only air came out. He let out a frustrated sigh, rubbing the back of his head as he tried to form the words in his head. "It is; I want to be with you, Jack. "But I'm scared." He admitted.

Jack set both of his hands on the other male's shoulder and said, "Okay, calm down. About what?" He asked.

Gabriel muttered something under his breath, exhaling loudly as he looked up at Jack. "I'm worried if I get too comfortable with you, then something will happen to mess it up." He explained.

They both were silent for a long moment. The blonde watched the other male shift uncomfortably on the counter. Before nodding his head and then pulling himself onto the counter as well, he said, "Nothing is going to happen to you or us." He reassured him, setting a hand on Gabriel's shoulder.

Gabriel growled, swatting Jack's hand off his shoulder, pushing himself off the counter, and running his hands through his hair. "I don't care about my well-being, Jack; I worry about you." He suddenly shouted.

The blonde was taken back slightly; he closed his eyes and then sighed, "If you're talking about Reaper, he's not coming back, Gabe. Angel took care of it," he stated.

The male leaned against the fridge, folding his arms across his chest. "What if he's not? What if these pills are just a temporary solution? I don't want to wake up one morning and not remember who you are or where I am and kill you." He stated.

Jack slowly slid off the counter, inching closer toward Gabriel. "Then we'll get through it together; I trust you, Gabe." He said, wrapping his arms around the other's waist.

The Latino fought the urge to push the blonde away, burying his face into his golden hair. "You shouldn't," he muttered.

Jack snorted, "Well, I do, and there is nothing you can do to change my mind." He stated. Jack's eyes flicked up at the other male, unable to read his face, waiting a few seconds to speak. "I know what will make you feel better." He said it with a grin.

Gabriel lifted his head, arching an eyebrow. "You want to have sex at a time like this?" he asked.

The blonde gasped, gently hitting the male in the chest. "No! Not everything has to be sex, Gabe." He said this, rolling his eyes.

Gabriel shrugged. "Makes me feel better." He said.

The blonde made a noise in the back of his throat, shaking his head. "No, I was going to say cookies." He responded.

The Latino shrugged once more. "Oh, sex is a better option. Can I have that instead?" He questioned.

Jack rolled his eyes, turning his attention back toward the bags on the counter. "Behave; you're injured." He simply said.

Gabriel wrapped his arms around the blonde's wait. "Again, I broke my foot, not my arm. I don't need my feet to fuck you, Jackie." He teased pecking the other male's cheek.

The blonde chuckled slightly and said, "Living room, now." He ordered.

The other male whined, "You're no fun; you wonder why I'm so bored all the time." He pouted, sulking out of the room.

Half an hour later, Jack walked out of the kitchen with a small plate of cookies and milk. I watched Gabriel play his game for a few minutes before slowly walking into the living room, setting both on the coffee table in front of him. Curling up next to the other male as he leaned forward, he grabbed a cookie and quickly ate it. Jack's eyes flicked down to Gabriel's stomach; if it were anyone else, he was sure nobody else would see the thin layer of chub that was starting to form. But the blonde could tell, and that was all that mattered to him at the moment. The smaller male chewed the inside of his cheek as his member twitched as Gabriel grabbed another cookie, too lost in his game to even notice.

Jack watched Gabriel eat, watching the cookies disappear, before holding out the milk. The other male muttered thanks, taking the cup from the blonde and chugging it quickly. Gabriel shifted slightly, scratching his slightly bloated stomach and leaning forward once more to grab the last cookie as Jack bit back a moan. "Want some more? There are a few still in the kitchen." The blonde asked.

Gabriel glanced at the other male for a long moment, thinking to himself for a long moment. "I shouldn't, but more milk would be nice." He said.

Jack bounced off the couch, scooping up the empty plate and cup before rushing into the kitchen. As the blonde refilled the cup, excitement crept into his chest as he slowly turned and stared at the half-eaten trap of cookies. Half of him knew it was wrong to overfeed Gabriel; this was breaking so many of his codes, but Jack couldn't help but get excited whenever Gabriel saw whatever the blonde put in front of him. Maybe it was the thrill of Gabriel eating Jack's cooking, but Jack knew deep down what it was. Gabriel gaining weight because of his cooking was turning him on, as well as scratching the surface of something that the blonde never knew he loved. Jack loved fat men.

It wouldn't hurt to test the theory; if he was wrong, then he'd tell Gabriel the truth and help him lose weight, or whatever consequences he deemed fit for the blonde. But, was his theory correct? What would he do, then? Jack could still tell Gabriel the truth and hope everything works out, but ever since Angie prescribed the Latino these new drugs, his temper has been all over the place. Chewing on the bottom of his lip, against his better judgment, Jack plated the rest of the cookies onto the plate. Carefully walking back into the living room, setting the dishes down in front of Gabriel.

The blonde waited a few minutes before he curled back against Gabriel's side. Fighting the urge to reach out and pet the small, bloated stomach. Gabriel leaned forward, grabbing the cup first. He took a few drinks before leaning forward and grabbing another cookie. Jack's heart beat against his chest as he watched the male eat. His hands shook slightly as he dug his nails into the thigh. Gabriel burped into his fist, stuffing another cookie into his mouth. Jack made a painful noise as he slowly slid from the couch, telling Gabriel he'd be back before rushing into their bathroom. Leaning against the door, the blonde leaned his head back, squeezing his eyes shut.

His mind wandered back to Gabriel eating and his bloated belly. Jack found his hands traveling down to his jeans, quickly unbuttoning them, and pulled them down, pulling his member out. Biting down on his lip, he was already thick and leaking pre-come just from watching the Latino eat. "F-F-Fuck." He stammered before he slowly started pumping. Heat built in Jack's lower belly as his hazy mind imagined him kneeling in front of Gabriel, his lips trailing down his bloated belly. Panting heavily, the blonde whimpered as he started pumping faster, leaking onto his hand as he did so. The heat in Jack's belly grew until it radiated through his entire body. The male's whimpers soon melted into low moans as his legs shook underneath him, threatening to give out.

Jack leaned his head back further, moaning loudly as he released his hand and belly, panting heavily. The blonde waited for a long moment before he shuffled toward the sink to clean himself up, shakily pulling his jeans back up and exiting the bathroom. Freezing in the doorway of the living room, the plate was once again empty, and Gabriel's stomach was pushed out slightly, making his belly look fuller.

The male was leaning against the arm of the couch, his hand on his stomach, while the other hand was resting behind his head. The blonde noticed the Latino's jeans were also pulled down to his hips. Cursing under his breath, the blonde sat down next to the other male, who at some point turned the channel into a movie. Jack placed a shaky hand on his leg, his eyes slowly shifting to the Latino's stomach. He noticed his tight t-shirt was slightly pulled up, revealing an inch of darker sink.

Inhaling, the blonde closed his eyes, swallowing thickly. "Tomorrow I was thinking about trying something with chocolate or red velvet." He announced.

Gabriel hummed, not looking at the other male while he spoke. "Sounds like a plan to me." He replied.

Chapter 6: ⇠A Slice of Normality⇢

Summary:

Gabe and Jack enjoy some time together in silence for once in their lives.

Notes:

Sorry, this chapter is so late! I got my tattoo on Thursday so typing is still a little painful. So happy to finally get back to this fic, after having a break I finally have some ideas that I wanna do for this story.

Chapter Text

Jack was beyond excited this morning. There wasn't exactly a word to describe how he felt. He woke up before sunrise, which wasn't unusual for him. When he was a strike commander, he often woke up to darkened hallways. Occasionally, he would wake up to a fresh pot of coffee before locking himself in his office. Today, though, he had everything planned. He would give the other male a normal life as much as he could before they both joined Overwatch and became too busy to enjoy the simple things. He would start with breakfast. Even though the older male didn't want to admit it, the blonde knew Gabriel better than anyone and knew the truth: Gabriel had a sweet tooth. It didn't take long for the younger male to whip up something sweet for the older male; he didn't want to spend most of the morning trying something overly sweet that'd take up the whole day.

So he stuck to the basics: honey-soaked pancakes with maple bacon and eggs. Once finished, Jack slowly plated the food, setting it on the table, and then wandered back into the bedroom. Leaning against the doorframe, she watched the sleeping form for a long moment before smirking. He slowly walked further into the bedroom, sitting on the edge of the bed and gently setting a hand on Gabriel's shoulder. "Gabe time to wake up." He whispered, earning a small groan from the other, as he pulled the pillow over his face, muttering a few curse words toward the blonde. The male chuckled lowly, shaking his head. "Come on, you can't sleep all day." He continued, shaking Gabriel's shoulder slightly harder.

The older male made another noise, using his elbows to prop himself up, blinking a few times before rubbing the sleep out of his eye with the heel of his hand. "What time is it?" He asked groggily, pushing himself into a sitting position.

"Six in the morning," Jack replied with a grin.

Gabriel glared at the blonde, fell back onto the bed, and pulled the blanket over his head. "It's too early for your nonsense," he grumbled.

The blonde's smile widened. "You used to love my nonsense," Jack pouted playfully.

The older man snorted and suddenly sprang forward, wrapping his arms around Jack and pulling him to his chest. "Still do, unfortunately," he rasped.

Jack's heart swelled at the comment, and he wrapped his arms around Gabriel's stomach, nuzzling his face into the darkened skin. "If it helps, I made breakfast," he stated.

"It doesn't, but you'll keep pestering me if I don't get up now. You're too much like a kitten begging for attention," the other said.

Jack felt the tips of his ears heat up as he buried his face further into Gabriel's side. "I don't beg," he grumbled.

Gabriel laughed, and Jack found himself wanting to hear it more. "That's not what you said last night," he replied.

The blonde's cheeks were tinged with pink. "Shut up!" he exclaimed, playfully tapping the other's shoulder. Jack managed to free himself from Gabriel's grasp a few minutes later, pushed himself off the bed, and tossed one of the older man's shirts toward him. "Get dressed, please. I have the whole day planned," he sighed.

Gabriel simply hummed in response, watching the blonde leave the room before pulling on his shirt. Once dressed, the man slid out of bed and made his way into the living room, slumping into the chair next to Jack. The pair ate silently. The blonde's eyes flicked toward the older male, watching him eat for a few moments before sliding the rest of his breakfast towards him and waiting. Gabriel glanced down at the plate before going back to scrolling on his phone and finishing Jack's plate. Heat coiled in the blonde's lower belly as he continued watching the older male eat, chewing on his bottom lip until he tasted blood as the heat slowly rose toward his stomach. Minutes passed before the younger male scooped up both plates and swiftly walked into the kitchen, setting the dirty plates into the sink before rushing back into the living room.

"What's next on your perfectly planned day?" Gabriel asked.

"Ana wants to show me a new store that just opened today. She said that they sell new weapons," the blonde beamed.

The other male made a noise in the back of his throat. "You want to drag me around a gun show?" He asked skeptically.

"It'll be fun," Ana says. "It's a perfect way to keep an eye on what the enemies are using nowadays," Jack argues.

The older male rolled his eyes and said, "You both are weird." He stated.

The blonde couldn't help but laugh at the comment. "Aren't you curious?" he quizzed.

"Nah, I've spent my whole life around guns and weapons. They bore me now," Gabriel admitted.

Jack groaned and rolled his eyes. "You're so boring now; what happened to my adventurous best friend?" he shouted.

Gabriel froze, swallowing thickly, as his eyes slowly glanced at the other male. Given that they both knew what transpired, the blonde instantly regretted the words he had spoken and wished he could go back in time. It was still too real for them, so they both refused to discuss it. The blonde noticed how anxious the other was being, even if it was perilous to drag the officially dead Gabriel along in public. After three arduous minutes, Gabriel finally sighed and smiled tiredly at the blonde. "Fine, you win." He declared.

***

Throughout the two hours, the three of them walked up and down the displays. Gabriel was quiet, which wouldn't be surprising if Jack knew the other male as well as he did. Ana disappeared toward the food court a few minutes ago, leaving both men sitting on a wooden bench. The older man rested his leg while the blonde watched him rub his thigh slowly, his eyes scanning the large room before leaning back. Even Gabriel hasn't been able to shake off his training over the years. He constantly looks over his shoulder, making sure no one is tailing him, always on edge and waiting for the enemy to attack. It didn't help that for most of those years, they were trying to kill each other because of what Talon did to Gabriel. The feeling of guilt seemed to never leave the blonde as he continued staring at her. Anxiety bubbled in Jack's stomach as he started picking at his nails nervously, chewing the inside of his cheek. Did Gabriel think I was going to turn it on again? The thought caused a sour taste to form in Jack's mouth.

"Indiana, I can practically smell you thinking. Are you okay?" Gabriel asked, snapping Jack from his train of thought.

They gazed at each other for a moment. The blonde's eyes flicked down to his hands before he sighed. "Do you trust me?" he asked.

"That's a stupid question, Jack. I wouldn't be here if I didn't," the other answered.

The younger man groaned and leaned back against the bench, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "That's not what I meant. I meant in general. You always seem tense around me," Jack said.

Gabriel was silent for a moment, using his thumb to massage the palm of his hand. "If you want me to be honest, of course I do. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I'm not back there. I hate myself for leaving them and for being here while they are still with Talon. I feel like I could have done more, but now I can't because I'm stuck being a civilian." The other was explained.

"You mean the girls?" Jack asked.

"Yeah, I know it sounds messed up. But they were like family when we weren't on missions. Sombra would beg and cry whenever Amélie wouldn't dance with her. On Thursdays, we would sneak out and go to my favorite bakery. Sometimes, I would remember you, and they'd make sure I wasn't alone whenever I was deep in a flashback. Sundays, though, that was when they both would drag me to that bar Jessie and I went to," he said, chuckling at the memory.

The blonde smiled gently. "That's not messed up at all. You protected them like you did Genji and Jessie. It's natural to be frustrated, Gabe," he reassured. "I'm sure Ana will do everything in her power to save them, just like we saved you," Jack added, setting a hand on the other's shoulder and squeezing gently.

"My turn. Do you want to retire? Or are you doing this for me?" Gabriel asked.

"Both," Jack answered.

The older male snorted. "Lame." He commented.

The younger male cocked his head to the side, furrowing his brows together in confusion. "Lame?" He parroted back.

Gabriel playfully punched Jack on the shoulder. "I gave you a meaningful explanation, which is totally out of character for me, by the way. I'm all serious and mean, remember? So, it's a cop-out, mister strike-commander, to give me a political answer," he teased.

Jack playfully pushed the other person back. "You're right, who are you, and what have you done with my Blackwatch commander?" he teased.

The man shook his head, grinning. "I died and then turned into a monster for about four years. But then I fell in love. I'm like the beast in that Disney movie," he said.

The blonde snorted. "You are anything but that," Jack said, going silent. A moment later, he sighed. "I am doing it mostly for us. We have spent all our lives hating each other, and I finally just want to have you to myself. I want to exist around you for once without us yelling at each other or everyone telling us how much we love each other. We're just sexually frustrated. I want to be friends again," he explained.

The older male barked out a laugh. "Just friends?" Gabriel asked.

The blonde shook his head, wrapping his arms around Gabriel's. "Nah, having sex with you is too much of a bonus. Being partners again would be nice." He whispered.

The man hummed. "Partners sound nice." Gabriel agreed, kissing Jack's hair. "Thanks for this; it helped a lot." He added.

Jack leaned his head on Gabriel's shoulder as he smiled softly. "Anytime, it's nice to spend some time with you as well." He replied.

They fell silent for ten minutes, during which Ana came back to see how they were doing, only to be swept off their feet by a recruit too eager to even glance at the new pistols. Gabriel eventually broke the silence, saying, "Tomorrow I was thinking about going to the mall."

The blonde glanced up at him, waiting for him to continue. When the older male didn't speak again, the blonde spoke again. "Something you want in particular?" He quizzed.

"A cat," Gabriel answered.

Jack's eyes were blown wide, returning to normal size a moment later. "You hate cats." He trailed off.

The other one smirked and shook his head. "No, my sister despises cats. My mom had an allergy. As a child, all I had were dogs." He said.

Jack laughed as he recalled the evenings when Gabriel would cuddle up next to him and mumble about his past and how much he detested dogs now that his sister was involved. Every time the older man let down his guard long enough for Jack to see the softer side of Gabriel, it made his heart sing. "Alright, I'll get you a kitten to keep you company." He declared.

The older male glanced down, and Jack could feel his smile as he spoke. "Are you sure you won't bite? I'm not giving you enough attention." He asked.

The blonde gave a little huff and rolled his eyes. "I'm not going to get jealous of a cat, Gabe." He snarled without an ounce of venom.

Gabriel barked out a laugh, wrapping an arm around the blonde and pulling him closer. "Sure, you won't, just like you don't get jealous of Ana making sure I had enough to eat." He taunted playfully.

A wave of panic washed through the blonde as his eyes slowly grew wide. Did Gabe know? "It's my job now," he stated.

"Sure, it is a boy scout." Gabriel commented, running his thick fingers through Jack's hair.

Chapter Text

After a week had gone by since the gun show, Jack could not help but notice the other man was changing. First, his once-acerbic cheekbones began to soften, and then, if the blonde was honest, they migrated into his midsection, which made him even more attracted to him. Of course, the ex-Strike Commander didn't say anything when Gabriel growled with frustration when his favorite band shirt started getting snug. Half of the blonde felt bad, and the little voice in the back of his head continued reminding him how he was technically manipulating his partner. But the other half wanted to see how long until Gabriel finally spoke or shouted at him and accused Jack of running his clothing in the wash.

Falling into a route quickly for the two, Jack would cook breakfast while the other slept in slightly longer, and then they would go for Gabriel's check-up, which was always a mixture of reactions. The ex-strike commander could tell the Latino was anxious; he was never known to sit still for a long period. Gabriel was always the type of man to be on the go all the time. Depending on how Angela's news always gauged how the rest of the day would go, most of the time the male would silently stoop in his anger until either Jack called him out on it or the blonde did something to take Gabriel's mind off of it.

Which brought Jack to his current predicament. They had just returned from Gabriel's medical appointment when Angela informed him that the man would need to wear a cast for a few more weeks because his bone was not healing properly. Which scared Jack at the same time as it made him chuckle because Gabriel still possessed Reaper's mending powers. Jack's mind was racing with too many questions, but he wasn't going to waste time worrying about them just now. He would mentally jot them down and send Angela a text about them later. With a groan, the blonde stepped into the kitchen and ran a hand through his hair as Gabriel slammed the door shut and hobbled toward their bedroom. It was still too early to make dinner, and Jack didn't want to give the other man too big of a snack given his appetite. But cooking was his outlet, and he needed to keep his hands busy, or the blonde would start spiraling himself. Letting out a shaky breath, the ex-strike commander grabbed some things from the fridge and then laid them out on the counter in front of him.

Jack chewed the tip of his thumb for a few moments, staring at the small pile of ingredients. Letting out a defeated sigh, the male shook his head and just started cooking. The blonde didn't notice the bedroom door opening until a pair of arms wrapped around his waist, and Gabriel buried his face in Jack's shoulder. The ex-strike commander chuckled, running a hand through the other's dark locks. "Someone's clingy." He whispered.

"Nightmare," Gabriel whispered back.

The blonde slowly turned to face the older male, wrapping his arms around Gabriel's shoulders. "The same one as usual or is this one new?" He quizzed.

Gabriel swallowed thickly, his eyes down on the ground. "S-Same..." He answered, gently grabbing Jack's arm and glancing at it. "You okay, right?" He asked, painfully quiet.

The smaller male nodded, pressing his lips against Gabriel's forehead. "I'm safe; we all are safe." He reassured.

The older male hummed, glancing behind Jack's shoulder. "What are you making?" He questioned, arching an eyebrow.

The blonde glanced behind him, shrugging. "Honestly, I have no idea, but somehow they turned into cookies." He said.

That made Gabriel laugh, and then, in one swift movement, the male grabbed the smaller male and placed him on the counter, kissing Jack roughly. "Gabe, slow down." The blonde whined.

The older male sighed, glancing up toward the ceiling, and muttered something in Spanish. "For once, Jackie, please shut up and let me have this." He whispered.

Jack bit down on his lower lip; it wasn't the fact that he didn't want to fuck Gabriel. No, that was the opposite; ever since the older male started gaining weight, the blonde has found himself unable to keep his eyes off the male. But Gabriel was like a wild animal; he was unpredictable with his emotions, and the blonde knew it only took one small thing to make the other crack, to the point where he hurt the blonde. "I just want to make sure you're lucid enough for this. I don't want you to regret this." He said.

Gabriel was silent for a long moment. "I've spent the last five years fighting you, Jack; I'm tired. For once, I want something to belong to me that I don't have to fight for or get blown up for. I want this; I want you. Now shut up and let me kiss you." He replied.

The former strike commander parted his lips to say something, but the other quickly interrupted and gave him another hard kiss. After a brief moment of hesitation, Jack returned the kiss and carefully wrapped his arms around Gabriel. They kept going for a few more minutes, at which point the older man lifted Jack off the counter by putting his arms around his waist. As he was being carried into the bedroom, the blonde instinctively placed his legs around the other's waist. Gabriel took off his T-shirt as he was gently pushed against the bed and straddled the man's lap. The older male leaned down, gently traveling his lips down the smaller male's neck, earning a moan from the blonde. Jack dug his nails into Gabriel's back, biting his lower lip until he tasted blood moaning lowly as the older male slipped off his shirt.

Jack kept undressing while Gabriel leaned over to retrieve the lubricant from the nightstand. After applying some lubricant to his fingers, the older man slowly raised the blonde's legs and inserted his fingers, pumping them softly. The former strike commander gasped and covered his face with his arm. With a growl, Gabriel said, "Don't hide from me, Indiana." With a whisper, he moved Jack's arm slightly above him with his other arm.

Jack felt his cheeks heat up as he whimpered, "M-More..." He begged. Gabriel smirked, adding a third digit, watching the smaller male arch his back slightly and moan louder. The sound of the blonde's heavy breathing reverberated around their room until Gabriel gently removed his fingers with a plop. The older man ripped off the remainder of his clothes, while the former strike commander let out a loud cry of frustration at the unexpected empty space. "G-G-Gabe please." The blonde sobbed, earning a mischievous smirk from the other.

"Who knew the infamous Strike Commander of Overwatch was so impatient?" He taunted, gently tracing his fingers along Jack's cheek.

The blonde rolled his eyes, scoffing slightly. "Shut up and put your dick in me." He demanded.

Gabriel leaned forward, peppering Jack's jaw with kisses. "As you wish, commander." He whispered. With a quick movement, the bigger man flipped Jack onto his stomach with one arm, then slowly inserted the other until the other whimpered and tangled his slender fingers in the sheets. Gabriel ran his thick fingers along the other's hips, thrusting a few times, causing the blonde to toss his head back and moan. Burying his face into the pillow, he bit down softly, muffling the noise, and then the ex-strike commander dug his nails into the sheets. The darkened room was filled with both their labored breathing and moans. Jack arched his back moaning as he released against the silken sheets, while the other male also released.

The ex-strike commander gulped down the air, glaring at the older male playfully. "Because of you, my cookies are burned." Jack huffed, rolled off the bed, and padded toward the bathroom.

Gabriel barked out a laugh. "You telling me you're more worried about cookies than having a good time with me?" He asked.

The blonde made a noise in the back of his throat, crossing his arms over his chest as a smirk appeared on his face. "Why don't you join me in the shower and find out?" He teased, disappearing into the bathroom. The older male ran a hand down his sweaty face, muttering something in Spanish before pushing himself off the bed and following the blonde into the bathroom.

Chapter 8: ⇠Date Night⇢

Jack starts putting his plan to put meat on his boyfriend's bones in action.

Finally a plot chapter, the next few chapters will be Jack secretly fattening up Gabriel and the other male noticing slowly the changes.

Chapter Text

It seemed as though Jack blinked and the entire month had gone by, too swiftly for him to realize his partner's changes until this evening. While watching his movie, Gabriel was sprawled out on the couch, his arm resting above his head. The blonde couldn't resist taking a closer look at his partner, noting the little pudge forming around the older man's midsection. With a leisurely step into the living room, the ex-strike leader noticed his already large thighs were a little softer. Gabriel scooted back a bit to watch the blonde lay down in front of him, feeling his cheeks rise as the Latino put an arm around his side. "We should have a date night." He stated earning a hum from the other. "I can cook one of your favorite foods and rent something." Jack continued. Gabriel didn't answer the other male for a long moment, shifting slightly. The blonde bit down hard on his lower lip as the Latino's stomach gently brushed against his back. "Or we can go out and do something; I know you have been cooped up for a while." He suggested.

Gabriel gave the blonde's head a gentle kiss. "We can do whatever you want, Jackie." He answered. The blonde leaned his head against the other's chest, humming and peppering his chin with kisses. "Plus, I doubt you could cook anything." He taunted playfully.

With a palm on his chest, the former strike commander gasped, "How dare you? I make your stuff all the time." He stated.

With a loud chuckle, she said, "Cooking and baking are two different things." Gabriel answered, stroking the blonde's hair with his big fingers.

The younger man crossed his arms across his chest and frowned. "It's basically the same thing. It shouldn't be too hard." With a faint pout, he replied.

"Sure, you can, babe," grinned Gabriel. "Just in case, I'll have the fire department's number on speed dial." As he turned back to his movie, he said,.

With a little huff, Jack cuddled even more against the elder man's chest and rested his head on Gabriel's arm. "Rude." He mumbled, causing the other to laugh softly again. Once more, the Latino bent down and pecked Jack's head.

They were silent for a long moment. "What would you want to rent?" Gabriel asked.

The former strike commander pondered for a moment before grinning broadly. "Since we only watch movies, I was considering maybe playing a game or something. I would like to try something new." He answered back.

Moving his arm, the older man covered the blonde's chest. "Before removing the cast, Angela wants to examine my foot and get a few more X-rays tomorrow. So afterward, we can do something." He stated.

The blonde perked up, quickly pulling his phone from his pocket. "What time is your appointment?" He asked.

The Latino rolled his eyes, gently taking the other male's phone and tossing it onto the coffee table. "Don't worry about it; Cole is taking me. He wanted to hang out, complaining, You're hogging me all to yourself." He answered.

Jack rolled his eyes. "He's just jealous." He huffed.

The older male snorted, "Of course he is; every child hates their parents when they aren't getting enough attention." He responded.

The ex-strike commander twisted his head to look at the other male. "Is Genji also in his child plan of yours?" He quizzed.

The Latino smiled, nodding his head. "Of course, I have to make sure Cole has a sibling to terrorize," Gabriel replied.

The blonde made a noise in the back of his throat, kissing the other on the chin. "You're a menace," Jack whispered, chuckling lowly.

***

Jack sighed, placing a hand on his hip as he looked around the empty apartment. After checking his phone for what felt like the hundredth time today, Gabriel was running late. In all honesty, the former strike commander didn't need to be surprised because they should have been used to this. Gabriel was constantly distracted by papers, or they would argue about insignificant matters, so they didn't have much quality time together. The man walked into the kitchen, slapping his bad thoughts aside and wiping his palm over his face as he started to make dinner. Jack was getting ready to marinate the meat when the front door opened. "There you are; what took you so long?" The blonde shouted.

"I apologize. Ana swooped in like the mother she is, while Angela was explaining to me what to do next. Phara asked me to assist her daughter with her schoolwork after Genji inquired about how you were doing." He explained.

Jack lowered the stove and cocked an eyebrow. While the Hispanic put his arm around the man's waist. "Did you and Cole even hang out?" He enquired.

The older male shook his head and said, "I was swamped with Overwatch life." He muttered into the blonde's neck.

The ex-strike commander snorted. "Bet that felt weird." He beamed.

Gabriel kissed the blonde's neck with a sly smile. "It felt typical. It's weird since I was rushing toward your former office as if we had just ended a fight. Rein reminded me halfway through that you were at home." He explained.

"What did Angela say about your foot?"

"She said that the bone is healed, but it will be sore for another week," Gabriel replied, snatching some food from the dish. She wants me to keep it raised whenever I sit, but tomorrow we're going to take the cast off." He stated.

Jack nodded his head, making a mental note. "Easy enough, what did she say about the pain meds?" He quizzed.

"Only take them if it gets too bad," Gabriel replied.

"Dinner is going to be done soon; the video game is on the coffee table; I had to ask Cole what the hell you play." The blonde responded.

The Latino man vanished into the living room and began to play the game. turning to face the kitchen once more. "Is your weak stomach going to be alright for horror games?" He enquired.

Half of the blonde knew, as he nibbled on the inside of his cheek, that he would probably cry and run behind the taller man. Gabriel would soak up and tease the blonde later. However, the other side of him felt that he needed to make a point. "It's just cheap jump scares; I have seen worse during the Omic Crisis." He shrugged.

The older male stared at him for a moment, his lip twitching slightly. "Whatever you say, Indiana." He said getting the game set up.

***

Jack didn't take more than an hour to jump so violently that he banged his knees against the coffee table and burned his face against the older man's shoulder. The elder man laughed and put his empty dish down on the table while the blonde winced in agony. "Are you okay?" In between bursts of laughter, he inquired.

The blonde watched the older male's stomach bounce slightly as his cheeks heated up. "Yeah, I took more than I thought I could eat; do you want any?" He asked, holding up the half-eaten plate.

The elder man glanced at the plate before turning to face the blonde again. "Sure." After shutting off the video game and switching to cable, he stated: Gabriel's member twitched as he lightly squeezed the other man's thigh, and the blonde's eyes traded glances with the slight curve of his stomach, attempting not to notice. The blonde picked up the plates and vanished into the kitchen as soon as the Latino completed the second plate. The blonde glanced at the small plate of brownies he wanted to surprise her with. I snatched them off the counter and quickly re-entered the room. Gabriel opened his mouth but quickly closed it when the ex-strike commander straddled his lap.

Jack nibbled on his lip. "Can I try something?" He asked.

Gabriel glanced down at the other's lap, smirking slightly. "You already are, aren't you?" He questioned.

The blonde rolled his eyes, letting out a frustrated huff. "I don't want to do anything unless you're comfortable, Gabe." He stated.

"I trust you," Gabriel whispered.

"Tap my leg if it's too much," Jack instructed picking up a brownie and holding it up to the other's mouth.

Gabriel gave Jack a suspicious look. Although he wanted to be angry at whatever was happening with his partner, he was also too tired to argue with him. All he wanted was to see Jack happy, and if the blonde liked this strange fetish, he might be able to give it whatever control he had left to the other. With a sigh, the man parted his lips gently and rapidly chewed the meal. Gabriel moaned as the blonde gently sank his tiny fingers into the swollen belly while Jack fed the other male inaudibly for what seemed like hours until his fingers scraped against the dish. Jack put the plate aside and began making out with the other man as the Latino burped into his fist and groaned softly.

The older male wrapped his arms around the other, kissing back gently. Anxiety bubbled in his stomach as the blonde continued running his hands down his bloated belly. "God, you're so hot." He whispered, his lips trailing down his neck and down to Gabriel's belly.

The male, frozen, watched the other male go farther down his belly while chewing the inside of his cheek. He didn't know what to say, so he opened and closed his mouth rapidly. He was mildly turned on, but there was also a part of him that was totally frightened. "J-Jack." He stammered, swallowing thickly.

The ex-strike commander glanced up, his eyes glazed with pleasure. "How about we go into the bedroom and I show you how hot you really are?" He suggested it, earning a slow nod from the other.

Finally getting back to this series feels like forever since I have written these two and I am happy to finish this chapter. Chapters should be more plot-based and Jack feeding Gabe more. So expect a bunch of Smut and feeding scenes, if you don't like that type of stuff then please skip them.

Onto more updates, I will try and upload Saturday and Sunday, I am participating in Pokemon Go Fest for the first time and will be away from my computer all day. Saturday is a new Hotwings One-shot and on Sunday I will finally update Flickering Memories.

Chapter Text

Gabriel looked down at the little mound sticking out of his ribcage, his lips pinched thin as he prodded the plump flesh. He kept poking his stomach, and as he watched his finger dip a little, a range of emotions boiled up in his chest. Gabriel sighed with exhaustion, biting his lower lip and running a palm over his face. He did not doubt that this would occur, especially with Jack, Ana, and Angela working against him. The blonde insisted that they make up for lost time and attempt to have a regular life at last. To be honest with himself, the elder man relished it,  since it meant he could relax and not have to worry about Cole or Genji wrecking the base with their prank wars. What he didn't expect was the ex-strike commander taking up cooking and Gabriel gaining weight. It's not that he didn't like the new feeling. The older male noticed Jack staring at his body for long periods, as well as demanding more sex, which wasn't the problem. No, it was the fact that Gabriel wasn't used to this; he was trained to be as fit as possible to take down his enemies and move on without a thought. But all he wanted was to see the blonde smile and continue this new growth.

Change was always something the older male had trouble dealing with, even when he was with Talon. When he was paired with Widowmaker and Sombra, it took him six months to just get used to Sombra's loudness. And then another three months to get used to Widowmaker's weird mother instincts for the group; the sniper never admitted it around people, but Gabriel knew the woman would sneak into Sombra's room to check her injuries before moving onto him. This was just another change the ex-agent had to get used to, even if this scared the hell out of him and he wanted to run away. Sighing once again, Gabriel lowered his shirt, grimacing as his black t-shirt clung to the small globe, shaking whatever thought started creeping into his brain, and walked back into the living room. Staring at said blonde, who had his tongue sticking out slightly as he stirred the brown batter in a mixing bowl, Smirking, the older male walked into the kitchen, wrapping his arms around Jack's small waist, and then kissed his cheek. "Are you making dinner or dessert?" He asked.

The ex-strike commander rolled his eyes, scoffing slightly. "Dessert could be dinner," he argued.

With a laugh, the Latino dipped his finger into the batter and proceeded to eat it. "Yeah, sure, just get that by Ana or Angela; a show and dinner would be wonderful." He stated.

Jack made an offended sound, spinning around to face him. "You're supposed to be on my side." He said he was gently hitting Gabriel's shoulder with the back of his hand.

The Latino grinned, rolling his eyes. "Where is the entertainment in that? He quizzed.

The ex-stike commander wiggled out of the other male's grip. While the older male lifted himself onto the counter, stealing a few more bites of batter. "If you're not careful, I won't feed you," Jack warned, waving the spoon toward Gabriel.

The older male shrugged slightly, thinking to himself for a long moment before speaking. "I'll just go to the bar with Cole; he can't say no to me." He replied.

Jack made a noise in the back of his throat, rolling his eyes once more. "You're just plain rude." He muttered.

The male watched the blonde slowly pour the batter into a pan before tossing it into the oven. "Yeah, but you love me. So are you going to tell me what you're making now?" Gabriel asked.

For a long period, Jack was thinking to himself, trying to come up with anything to say. The blonde took a few deep breaths, followed by a slow exhale. "Well, given that the trial last night seemed to please both of us, I was considering giving it another go with something a little lighter for your stomach." He clarified. The blonde must have seen through his smile because the younger male stepped closer. Gently gripping his wrist, he says, "You are okay with it, right?" He asked nervously.

Gabriel's brown eyes flicked down toward his lap, chewing the inside of his cheek for a few minutes. "Yeah, but not used to it yet." He sighed.

The ex-strike commander shook his head, cupping the other male's face. "Gabe, listen, we don't need to continue if it freaks you out. I'm happy just being with you." He insisted.

Pulling his face from the younger male's grip, Gabriel shook his head. "No, I want to. I'm just not used to being so relaxed." He responded with a soft smile.

With a trembling breath, Jack encircled the other man with his arms and pulled him into a hug. After a lengthy minute of silence, the blonde's hands gently slid down to his tiny belly, causing Jack's bottom lip to twitch slightly. The Latino felt his cheeks heat up as the blonde gently pinched and pulled at the small pudge. The younger male's eyes sparked with a mixture of amusement and lust, causing a wave of anxiety to wash over the older male. Even though Gabriel knew it was silly to be afraid, he knew Jack wouldn't hurt him or make him uncomfortable. The blonde strived to make the Latino feel good; half of him just wanted to give in and let the ex-strike commander have his way with the older male. The other half was still terrified, scared Talon would break down their front door and try to kill Jack, taking Gabriel back to their cold lab and experimenting on him again. Scared that all of this was some sick fantasy, they trapped him in it to get him to comply. Scared that he'll go back to being Reaper and Gabriel will hurt Jack.

For several more minutes, the blonde held the other's abdomen tenderly. Then he knelt, lifted the Latino's shirt, and began to trace his lips up Gabriel's navel from his lower abdomen. The elder man swallowed a groan and leaned back a little as the blonde moved toward his lower belly and up toward the little curve of his stomach, whispering into the chubby skin. The older male bit down into his lower lip until copper coated his tongue, and a low whine escaped his mouth, causing the blonde to chuckle lowly. "Such an attention whore." Jack whispered, gently tracing his finger along the other's belly, causing the Latino to shiver violently. The ex-strike commander stood slowly, gently biting Gabriel's lower lip and sucking on it for a few minutes before letting go. The younger male leaned forward, their noses a few inches apart, before the oven buzzed next to them, causing Jack to sigh. "Stay." He ordered.

Gabriel nodded slowly, watching the other male slip on oven mitts and then pull the small cake out of the oven. Setting it on the counter next to the older male. The smell of chocolate and spices engulfed the small space between them, causing the older male to drool slightly. With a spatula, the blonde removed the dessert from the pan and placed it on a large plate. He then began slicing the pie into huge squares. Gabriel lunged out to grab one as Jack was putting the final square onto the plate, but the blonde gave him a quick slap on the hand. "Greedy thing you are, they need to cool." The other grunted at his smug smile. The former strike commander gave the older man a long look before giggling. I took Gabriel's hand gently and kissed the spot where he had smacked. Jack held one of the squares to the lion's lips after a few minutes had passed. The younger male took a long bite and chewed for a few minutes. His blue eyes met with brown ones. Then, the blonde forced the rest into his mouth, causing the older male to yell in surprise. As the spiced chocolate coated Gabriel's tongue, the male couldn't help but moan as the blonde quickly held up a second square.

Watching the Latino quickly scarf down the cake, Jack chuckled, running his thin fingers through Gabriel's hair and gently pecking his cheek. The blonde watched the older male scarf down four large squares before letting the older male balance the plate on the curve of his stomach, while Jack knelt once again. I watched the slightly swollen stomach bounce a little as it pressed against the plastic button, drowning out the other man's groans and tiny pants as he worked his fingers through the chubby flesh. Gabriel pawed at his stomach, whining slightly. "Is my chubby raven getting full?" He asked, gently nuzzling the swollen stomach with his nose. Gabriel responded with another whine, earning a chuckle from the younger male. Jack stood, gently taking the plate from the Latino, and then gently peeled off the tight shirt. Running a hand down the swollen belly and humming softly, "Come on, can't you finish this plate for me?" He whispered, waving the half-eaten plate in front of the older male.

Gabriel burped into his fist and groaned, leaning back slightly as the plastic button groaned softly. Jack watched the other male shift slightly, spreading his chubby thighs and letting his belly slowly dip down onto the counter. Leaning forward, Jack trailed his lips from the curve of Gabriel's stomach down to his navel. "If you finish this plate for me, I'll give you a reward." He continued, while his lips traveled down to his lower belly, causing Gabriel to moan softly.

The older male glanced down at his stomach, which was burping softly again. And then back up to Jack. "T-T-Tight..." Gabriel whimpered, picking at the metal button.

"You have to promise to ruin these later if I unbutton them for you," murmured the former strike leader. If they fit me after this, Gabriel chewed his tongue in contemplation, but the older man just nodded in response. With a broad smile, Jack unbuttoned his snug jeans and observed Gabriel's stomach expand significantly, causing his member to twitch slightly. The elder man let out a sound that sounded like a whine mixed with a moan from the back of his throat. When he released his grip, the blonde watched the swollen stomach tremble slightly. The older male spread his legs slightly more, letting his stomach fall to the cool counter. "Now, be a good boy and finish these for me," Jack whispered. Gabriel let out a shaky breath as the blonde set the plate back on the curve of the Latino's stomach, grabbing another dessert square and holding it up to the other's lips.

Gabriel took a large bite from the cake, swallowing quickly, and then scarfed down the rest of the cake. As the older male continued eating, Jack watched Gabriel's stomach slowly push the zipper of his jeans down, letting the swollen globe expand further against his lap. The Latino lifted the last square, his eyes flicking toward the blonde as an idea sparked in his head. Gabriel slowly bit into the spiced cake, moaning loudly while pawing at his stomach. He was chewing slower as he continued staring at the blonde, who was now biting his lower lip and gripping the counter tightly. Once finished, Gabriel lapped up the crumbs from the corner of his lips, and his fingers mewled lowly as Jack quickly moved in between the older male's legs, digging his nails into the Latino's thighs. "God, you're going to be the death of my little raven." He muttered through clenched teeth.

Gabriel smirked, leaning forward slightly, letting the curve of his stomach press against his pecs. He was groaning softly as he burped, putting a hand on the side of his stomach and squeezing slightly. "However, will I grow bigger if you're dead?" He taunted.

Jack narrowed his eyes before lurching forward, capturing Gabriel's lips with his own. They kissed for what felt like hours before the Latino pulled apart, panting slightly. "I'm sure a greedy bird like you will find a way," Jack growled.

Gabriel quickly softly bit down on the blonde's lip, sucking for a few minutes before letting go. Jack let out a shaky breath, his eyes blown wide. "I'd rather have you pampering me instead, lieutenant." The Latino whispered.

Jack threw back his head and laughed once more. "As you wish." He gasped, wrapping his arms around each other quickly.

Chapter 10: ⇠Kink Master⇢

Summary:

The boys talk about their new developments, and Jack orders more clothing for his expanding boyfriend.

Chapter Text

Gabriel's bloated beach ball of paunch protruded in front of him as he cast his gaze down at his undone jeans. He tried to button his jeans and sucked in as much as he could, but the flaps were still inches apart. His cheeks heated up with shame and a hint of pleasure. He knew he'd run into this problem a week ago when his shirts started riding up slightly, showing off his darkened skin. As well as when his jeans started pinching his thighs and hips, but of course Gabriel pushed the problem to the back of his mind and continued eating whatever the blonde put in front of him. When Jack started noticing these changes, he continued doubling his portions, bugging the other male to weigh himself so that the blonde could see the changes in the older male. Sighing, the Latino peeled off his tight jeans, grabbed some sweatpants that were as tight and shuffled toward the bathroom.

The scale underneath the sink seemed to taunt him as he turned the shower on. The older male chewed his bottom lip before peeling off his t-shirt. Before Gabriel could think, his body moved toward the sink, grabbing the scale underneath and staring at it for a moment. By some miracle, his brain turned off as he slowly stepped on it, watching the bright red numbers blink for a few minutes. 240. Gabriel wasn't sure why the number bugged him so much; half of him still couldn't wrap his brain around the fact that he gained weight in the first place. He always thought that after he died, his body wouldn't be able to function properly, let alone be able to stand here with Jack. The Latino glanced down once more, running a hand down his stomach, pinching and prodding the pudgy flesh.

The older male set a hand on either side of his stomach, lifting the small globe and letting go, watching it bounce softly. Gabriel cursed under his breath, running a hand through his hair as he let out a sigh. If you asked the ex-agent how he got to his position, his first instinct would be to blame the ex-strike commander. But the older male knew he couldn't; the blonde gave him every chance to stop this; he was more than supportive of the ex-talon agent and wanted nothing more than to keep him happy. Was this making him happy, though? Or was he just feeding whatever kink the blonde was fantasizing about? The thought caused Gabriel's stomach to roll, and if he had to be honest, he wasn't sure if it was a good feeling or a bad one. After his shower, the older male quickly got dressed and then shuffled into the living room, finding the apartment empty. Wondering into the kitchen, the male glanced around, noticing a plate of food with a sticky note next to it. Gabriel grabbed the food and then picked up the note, wincing slightly. I went shopping with Angela and will be back for dinner. -Jack.

Shopping meant that the blonde also noticed Gabriel's clothes shrinking, which also meant that the older male would be subjected to wearing whatever both blondes chose for him. As he walked back to the living room to watch TV, Gabriel pulled his phone from his pocket. He and Jack talked about making lists of dos and don'ts they both had during this new experiment. Of course, typical of himself, the Latino has been perceiving and pushing the thoughts to the back of his head. He stared at the blank note on his screen; he didn't even know where to start. If he was honest, he didn't have much experience with whatever this was between them. Even before the fall, Jack and Gabriel danced around their relationship, keeping it as quiet as possible.

Most of the time, it was the blonde leading them while the Latino stumbled around like a lost puppy. Back in Overwatch, there wasn't really anything he wouldn't have done, but now he was older and technically still dead. Gabriel glanced at his cast foot and groaned. He still had a few days before Angela would take his cast off, and he just knew that when that happened, Jack would become more insufferable. Gabriel began by listing the things he already knew he wouldn't want to do. He then added other maybes to the list and leaned forward a little, his ears starting to become red where his stomach touched his chest.

The older man's emotions were thrown into disarray with the thought that it wouldn't be long till the curve of his abdomen brushed his pecs. Gabriel spent a couple more hours on his list before pushing himself up from the couch and walking back toward the kitchen. He then placed his plate in the sink. Glancing at the clock on the oven, he tried to push away the anxiety bubbling in his chest. He knew it was silly of him to be worried. Jack was with Angela, and nobody knew about Jack's retirement yet, so nobody would be stupid enough to try and mess with two Overwatch agents. The older male's phone buzzing snapped him out of his train of thought as he unlocked his phone. Gabriel's eyes widened as the world around him seemed to freeze. Gabe, they are on our trail. We need to meet. -S

The older man stared at the screen for a long moment, swallowing thickly as his hands shook. Nobody should have his number; Angela and Ana made sure of that, but he should have known Sombra would have figured out a way to find him. She always found a way, and it was one of the reasons why Gabriel loved and hated her. Gabriel was about to respond when the front door swung open, prompting the older man to hurriedly lock his phone and stow it in his pocket. Shortly afterward, Jack walked through the kitchen doorway with an armful of shopping bags. The blonde smiled, pecking the other on the nose as he set the bags on the counter. "How was your day?" He asked. The ex-strike commander stared at Gabriel for a long moment, and when the other didn't reply, he took a few steps closer, gently grabbing his wrist. "Gabe, what's wrong?" He asked.

Gabriel's phone seemed to burn in his pocket as he slowly glanced up. "Yeah, just spacing out," he lied, rubbing the back of his head. "What did you get, the whole store?" The male joked.

The blonde chuckled and slowly unpacked the bags on the counter. "Just some stuff for dinner and some new clothes for you." He replied.

Gabriel chuckled. "Thank you. I'm not really hungry after the breakfast you made me, so I'm going to lie down." He said, slipping past the other.

"Okay, I'll come get you when dinner is ready," Jack replied.

The Latino waved his hand toward the other, quickly walking toward the bedroom. He closed the door behind him and locked it, pulled his phone from his pocket once more, and stared at the text message for a moment. Running a hand through his hair, he sighed, leaning his head back against the door. He shouldn't do this, but if Sombra and Widowmaker were in trouble, he had to be there for them.

Where? -G

Park, come alone. I don't want the blonde on this-S

Sure thing. -G

Chapter 11: ⇠Shattered World⇢

Summary:

Gabriel meets Sombra behind Jack's back and everything he's worked to keep is crashing down around him.

Notes:

Small update, I will be taking a week or two off from the schedule since I want to focus on other things for a bit. My wife is super busy for the next two weeks so it gives me some time to focus on my streaming and other projects. If I have ideas for the projects that I am currently writing then I will upload them whenever I can.

This is a shorter chapter than normal, but this is sort of a filler/entering Sombra and Widowmaker into the story finally.

Chapter Text

Gabriel stared at the ceiling that night, listening to the soft breathing of the blonde next to him. His brown eyes flicked over toward the sleeping mass, waiting for a few minutes before slipping out from the covers. The Latino knew this was a bad idea; he and Jack hadn't argued in months, and things were going well for them. Gabriel wasn't too afraid to let go of whatever little control he had. And the ex-strike commander seemed all too happy with their new arrangement; he should wake up Jack and tell him about the text. But if this was a trap, then Gabriel didn't want to put Jack in any danger; he'd already done that for years, and the male was finally happy. The older male leaned over, gently kissing Jack on the forehead. "I'm sorry..." He whispered before slipping out the door.

Gabriel pulled his jacket closer as he walked down the abandoned sidewalk; his phone sat heavy in his pocket as he pushed whatever lingering thoughts to the back of his mind. He couldn't think about Jack; he had to focus on whatever Sombra wanted and then figure out where to go from there. The anxiety that gnawed at his stomach seemed to grow worse as he walked closer to the park, scanning the abandoned playground before continuing toward the basketball court and finding the smaller woman leaning against the pole. The hacker was lost in her nails until her small brown eyes flicked upward, and a large smile formed on her face as she pushed herself off the metal pole. Wrapped her arms around his shoulders, "I missed you, Gabe." She beamed.

The older male pulled back, "I missed you too; where's Widow?" He asked, arching an eyebrow.

The smaller woman sighed, running a hand through her black hair. "We thought it would be better if only one of us came; with Talon after us, we don't want to draw any more attention. A lot has changed since Blondie saved you." The hacker explained, eyes examining each other for a long minute before a smirk replaced her smile. "That's not all that has changed, huh, Blondie is treating you well." She teased lightly.

The Latino felt his cheeks heat up as he ducked his head slightly. "Shut up; I'm still getting used to it." He muttered.

Sombra barked out a laugh. "You look great, Gabe; it makes you look like a teddy bear." She reassured him, setting a hand on his shoulder. They fell into a comfortable silence as they walked toward the bleachers. The smaller woman leaned against him and let out a small sigh. "We were worried about you, worried you and Blondie wouldn't make up." She muttered.

It was Gabriel's turn to chuckle, leaning his head on top of her head. "Is that why you wanted to meet me at a park in the middle of the night?" He quizzed.

The hacker sighed once more, pushing herself away from him, and stood up. "I wish, but it's more serious than that." She whispered.

The older male chewed his bottom lip; he hoped that this was going to be a social event, and the hacker just wanted to catch up. But Gabriel wasn't lucky; his whole life was an unfortunate event that was puppeteered by people who had more power. "Talon..." He trailed off.

The woman nodded, leaning her head back slightly to stare at the night sky. Forming two fists at her side as a small growl escaped her lips. "Yeah, they are after us. Luckily, with my hacking skills, they haven't been able to pinpoint the three of us. But I can only hold them off for so long. We need to take them out." She stated, turning her attention back toward Gabriel.

Gabriel writhed his hands together as his brain swirled with different situations. Half of him wanted nothing more than to help the two; they were his second family, and the three of them had been through too much to let that fact die. The other half thought about Jack, who was still hopefully sleeping at home; if he found out that Talon was still wreaking havoc, he'd demand to be taken out of retirement. That thought caused his stomach to flip as he pushed the nausea back down. "I don't know Som; I can't risk Jack." He finally answered.

The smaller woman groaned, throwing her arms up. "We need you, Gabe; we need Reaper back." She said it through clenched teeth.

The older male stared at her for a moment. "Let me think about it, alright. I need to talk to Jack, and I make sure he's not too pissed I snuck out." He replied, trying to keep his voice even. What the fuck happened to you? The old Gabriel would have jumped at this mission...That was before Jack and he settled down though.

Sombra snorted, rolling her eyes as she folded her arms over her chest. "Blondie has you on a leash, I see." The hacker sneered.

The Latino knew the other wasn't actually mad at him; he spent years reading the hacker's emotions. But the guilt didn't die; a sudden flash of anger bubbled in his stomach as he formed fists at his side. "No, not a leash. Just cautious. You'd be the same way if you and Widwomaker were in my shoes." He growled.

Sombra was silent for a long moment, her mouth gaping open as Gabriel narrowed her eyes at her slowly standing. "You're right, I know how much he means to you, Reap. But think of it this way: if Talon is after us, then they know about you, and I doubt they would do anything to get their pet back." She said it lowly.

The older male inhaled and exhaled loudly, running a hand down his face. "Look, I know you're scared; I am too. But I can't risk Jack like this. I'll talk to him...Text me the details." He instructed, setting a hand on her shoulder. The male walked down a few steps of the bleachers before turning his head back toward the hacker. "I do love you, Som, and I will try and help whatever way I can." He added.

"I know Gabe; I'm sorry too." She replied, disappearing quickly.

Chapter 12: ⇠Sometimes the Truth Hurts, and I'm Sorry⇢

Summary:

Gabriel comes home to Jack awake, and the pair have their first fight in a long time.

Notes:

Finally updating this fanfic with another short chapter, but I promise I will try and make them longer. I won't lie I have been avoiding this fanfic, but after a few of your comments, this chapter is also dialogue heavy so I apologize in advance. I have found a little motivation to get back to it. After this, I will be doing another three or four rounds of WG chapters of Jack trying to get back in Gabe's good graces.

Chapter Text

Wincing slightly at the loud creak of the front door, Gabriel closed the door gently behind him. After taking off his shoes and placing the keys in the little bowl on the entryway table, he entered the living room. The older man's breath caught in his throat when he saw the other man, dressed in his fluffy bathrobe, sitting on the couch. "W-What are you doing up?" he asked.

The blonde snapped his head toward Gabriel, his bright blue eyes clouded with sleep. "Where were you? I woke up to go to the bathroom, and you weren't there." Jack asked groggily.

Chewing on the inside of his cheek, Gabriel felt a wave of remorse pass through him. Even though everything was telling him to be honest with Jack, a tiny part of his mind continued to fuel his fear. "Out...I couldn't sleep." The male lied, brushing past the ex-strike commander.

The ex-talon leader heard Jack sigh, causing him to freeze. "Gabe, I've known you long enough to tell when you're lying. Talk to me, please; you don't need to hide anything from me anymore." He begged.

The older male's shoulders tensed, squeezing his eyes shut. "I-I can't." He whispered.

The blonde let out a loud exhale, and Gabriel could feel Jack's eyes piercing the back of his skull. Advancing a short distance before placing a hand on Gabriel's shoulder. "Can't or won't?" He asked softly.

The older male inhaled and exhaled softly, "Both," he stated.

Gabriel was feeling suffocated by the tension that pervaded the room. Blood rushed to his ears, and his heart pounded violently against his ribs. The blonde man put both of his arms around Gabriel's shoulders, and his hands trembled a little. "Now that we're a team, Gabe. I'm capable of handling whatever is wrong." Jack replied, nuzzling the older male's neck.

With a shake of his head, the former Taliban agent tore the arms off the former strike leader. He stepped away from the younger man and ran a hand over his face. "I can't risk you..." He shuddered.

Jack relaxed slightly, smiling softly. "Babe, that's not your call. You can't protect me from everything." He sighed.

Gabriel snorted, rolling his eyes. "I can fucking try." He growled.

The comment made Jack bark out a laugh: "Gabe, this is the same as before. We both tried to protect each other and then got pissed that it didn't work because the other was stubborn." He responded.

The elder man swore under his breath, and the tightness in his shoulders appeared to vanish in an instant. "Sombra texted me last night..." He admitted.

The blonde felt his eyes widen, returning to normal size a few seconds later. "How the fuck did she find you?" His voice wavered as he asked.

Gabriel finally turned to face the other male and made a grunt in the back of his throat. "It's Sombra Jack; she could find your porn or darkest secrets if you paid her enough or she cared enough." He explained.

The former strike leader gave a small tremble. "Okay, scary. Sombra sent you a text. Regarding what?" Jack asked.

Anger flashed in the older male's brown eyes, but was quickly replaced by a mixture of fear and sorrow as he narrowed his eyes slightly. The older male swallowed, digging his nails into the meat of his palm. He was silent for a long moment, letting out a small shaky breath as he spoke. "Talon is starting to reform, and they are looking for her and Widow." He whispered.

The blonde flinched visibly as the world around him seemed to slow. Different questions swirled in his muddied mind, causing his head to hurt slightly as he stared at the other male for a moment. His heart pounding against his chest, while the younger male struggled to catch his breath for a few seconds. The ex-strike commander's hand found itself around Gabriel's wrist as he squeezed the older male's wrist. Tears burned the blonde's blue eyes as they swelled in the corner of his eyes. "Are they looking for you?" He stammered.

The former Talon agent shook his head slowly, eyes shifting up toward the ceiling. "Not yet, but it's only a matter of time before they realize we're not together. They tend to not like their toys, causing problems for them." He replied.

They fell into another tense silence; it felt like hours before Jack sighed, gently loosening his grip on Gabriel's wrist. "We should call Overwatch; Ana will have some ideas about what we can do. Maybe the three of you can hole up in there for now." The blonde suggested.

The ex-strike commander released the older male's grip and started walking away when Gabriel grabbed his hand quickly. "No." He growled.

Jack's eyes shifted from the older male's grip, then back up slowly. "Gabe, if Talon is looking for you, it's only a matter of time before they start using whatever they can to get your attention." He tried to reason.

Gabriel snarled, "We're safe here; I trust Sombra not to leak anything." He stated.

The blonde shook his head, pinching the bridge of his nose. He knew there was no point in arguing whenever the older male was like this. It was one of the many things that the ex-strike commander loved and hated about the other. Jack pushed the uneasiness to the back of his head. "What about Cole?" Jack quizzed, putting his hands on his hips.

The blonde caught the hesitation in the other's face. "Exactly if we get involved, Jack, then they are at risk. I am finally fucking happy and we're together without Overwatch breathing down our necks. I won't have Cole, Ana, or Angela's safety at risk." Gabriel shouted.

Jack chewed the bottom of his lip as an idea sparked in his head. The blonde knew it was a gamble, but they were running out of options. "What about you're family?" He asked.

The former Talon agent snorted, "They think I'm dead, Jack; they are safe." He said simply.

The younger male watched Gabriel brush past him, heading toward the bedroom. "Gabe," he pleaded.

The older male shook his head while waving his hands in front of him. "No. No, no. I'm not doing it, Jack. I'm putting my foot down about this." He demanded, disappearing into the bedroom and slamming the door behind him.

Chapter Text

~Jack's P.O.V~

The following morning, he woke up more slowly, his head feeling too fuzzy and his back screaming at him. The blonde's blue eyes moved toward the closed bedroom door as he rubbed the sleep from them. The memories from last night were still fresh in the ex-strike commander's mind, sending a wave of emotions through him. Jack had forgotten the last time they had fought. If he were asked, he would say it was before the fall of Overwatch. He didn't remember what they were arguing about. All he remembered was Gabe leaving that night, and then the news of him dying the next day struck Jack. Rolling onto his feet, the blonde pushed himself off the couch, grabbed his phone, and then started walking toward the kitchen. Pausing at the bedroom door. Chewing the bottom of his lip, the male shook his head and walked into the room. There was no point trying to talk to the older male when he was steamed. It was like talking to a brick wall, so the ex-strike commander did the next best thing: tuck his tail between his legs and butter the older male up with his favorite foods.

The smell of food must have woken the other male, who stumbled into the kitchen. Jack could tell neither of them had gotten any sleep, and the gnawing feeling of guilt bubbled in his stomach. The room was filled with silence until the blonde spun around holding out a small plate of food. Gabriel glanced down at the plate, inhaling slowly. "Thanks." He muttered, gently taking the plate and disappearing back into the bedroom.

Jack didn't know he was crying until something dripped off his chin, hitting his shaky hands. Bringing a hand up to his cheek, the blonde glanced down at the tears coating his pale fingers. Suddenly not hungry anymore, the smaller male set the plate down on the counter, quickly diving into the guest bathroom. Quickly locking the door, Jack slid down the door, bringing his knees to his chest as a sob escaped his trembling lips. His thoughts were running a mile a minute, and the male ran his fingers through his matted hair; half of him knew why Gabriel was scared. Talon ruined both of their lives. Moria promised the older male she could fix him after the serum they both were injected started affecting his health. If the ex-strike commander was honest, he was still pissed at the other male for lying; they could have figured it out together. But of course, Gabriel had to take it on alone; the other half was just as frustrated. Overwatch would be a huge help; Ana could send agents to track down the terrorists and possibly take them out before anything ever happened. But it wasn't just Gabriel that was at risk; Sombra and Widowmaker were also being targeted. They meant everything to the older male, and Jack had a feeling it would be a buy-one-get-two deal with the small group.

The blonde leaned his head against the door, squeezed his eyes shut, and let out a shaky breath. He quickly wiped the tears that were pricking the corners of his eyes before pulling out his phone. He scrolled until he found Ana's name and then swiftly pressed the call button, bringing his phone to his ear. The phone rang only once before a soft click came from the other end, sending a wave of relief through Jack. The other end was silent for a couple more seconds before the blonde heard someone shuffle. "Jack? Are you okay?" Ana questioned groggily.

The ex-strike commander exhaled, running a shaky hand down his pale face. "Yeah, I'm fine. Gabe and I just haven't slept well this week. Listen, I need your help with cheering Gabriel up. Got any ideas?" The blonde quizzed.

The older woman chuckled, "I had a feeling this would happen; all I can suggest is maybe cook his favorite foods. Try and get his mind off of whatever is bothering him." The sniper suggested.

At the moment I am. Jack thought bitterly; the bile in the blonde's mouth turned sour as he swallowed thickly. "Yeah, I'll try that. Thanks, Ana." The smaller male smirked, hanging up.

The man sat on the cool bathroom floor for a few more minutes, taking some calm breaths before getting up. He straightened his clothing and hair before leaving the bathroom and returning to the kitchen. Jack grabbed some pans and ingredients from the fridge before making burger patties. As he seasoned the ground beef with his secret blend of spices, the blonde's mind drifted to happier times when Gabriel and him would cook together, laughing and sharing stories. The former strike commander missed those moments and hoped that tonight would bring back a little bit of that warmth and camaraderie. The sizzle of the burgers hitting the hot pan filled the air, and the savory aroma wafted through the kitchen. The smaller male's blue eyes shifted towards the closed bedroom door. Chewing the inside of his cheek as he laid the fries down onto the sheet pan before tossing it into the oven. While the burgers sizzled, Jack prepared the toppings, slicing fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and melting cheese on the patties. He toasted the buns quickly before laying everything out on the counter.

Jack cautiously walked toward the bedroom door, hovering his hand above the door for a second before gently rapping against it. "G-Gabe. I made dinner." He called, taking a few steps backward. It felt like hours before the door creaked open, Gabriel muttered something under his breath brushing past the blonde, and headed into the kitchen. Jack followed close behind, watching the older male set his empty plate into the sink and then start to grab his food. The smaller male picked at his nails for a moment before forming a small fist at his side. "Can we please eat together? I know you're pissed at me, and I know I can't fix it right now. But please reaps." Jack begged.

Chocolate brown eyes burned into the younger male's bright blue ones. The tension in Gabriel's shoulders seemed to disappear at the nickname as he sighed. Running a hand down his face and nodding his head slowly. "Alright, breakfast was good. Thank you." The other male replied, slipping past the ex-strike commander to sit down in the living room.

The younger man's chest swelled slightly as he smiled softly. The pair sat in silence, watching whatever was on TV. The blonde's eyes shifted toward the older man every so often. "I was thinking about trying a new dessert recipe I saw last night," he announced. Gabriel kept his eyes focused on the TV, humming softly as he ate. They fell back into an uncomfortable silence. Jack observed the other male, his eyes falling toward the small shadow of the older male's belly pushing against his t-shirt. The smaller male could feel his cheeks heat up as he fought the urge to reach over and rub the slightly bloated skin. After the chubbier male was finished eating, he pushed himself off the couch, and the blonde couldn't help but watch the small mound of flesh drop and wobble slightly.

Gabriel paused at the entrance; different emotions seemed to swirl in his eyes as he stared at Jack for a moment. "Let me know when you're finished with that dessert, and I'll try it for you." He trailed off.

The blonde couldn't help but chuckle lowly, nodding his head. "Of course." He replied, watching the older male disappear into the bedroom once more.

After cleaning up the kitchen, the blonde quickly started baking. An hour later, Jack set the piping hot cake pan on the counter. He licked the melted frosting off of his fingers before plating a large slice for the older man, adding a small dollop of whipped cream on top of the cake. He then sauntered into the living room and found Gabriel already on the couch. The blonde couldn't help but notice that the older man had changed into loose-fitting sweatpants as well as a black T-shirt that showed his small basketball-sized belly. Gabriel stretched, causing the blonde's breath to get caught in his throat as a thin layer of darkened pudgy flesh spilled onto his lap. Once the younger male regained his breathing, he slowly sat down next to the other male, holding out the small plate. "Let me know if it's too sweet." He said, swiftly turning his attention to the TV.

Heat swirled in the ex-strike commander's belly as he gnawed on his lower lip until copper engulfed the inside of his mouth. Digging his nails into the meat of his palm, the blonde fought the urge to pounce on Gabriel as he watched him devour the cake, humming happily. Ten minutes later, Gabriel set the empty plate on the coffee table, setting a hand on his bloated abdomen and groaning softly. Leaning his head back against the couch, the older male burped into his fist. "Did you like it?" Jack asked, voice uneven.

Gabriel lolled his head to the side, and Jack had to bite back a gasp as lidded brown eyes stared at him, a soft whimper escaping his mouth as he did. "Yeah, the chocolate was a little too sweet," the older male replied.

Jack barked out a laugh, scooting closer, their fingers gently brushing against each other. "I'll add it to the menu," he responded.

Gabriel fought the urge to look down; instead, the older man arched an eyebrow, shifting his attention to the smaller male. "Are you opening a bakery or something?" he asked, his voice tinged with amusement.

Warmth suddenly sparked in the blonde's chest once more when the older male didn't move. His brown eyes softened as he watched the younger male. Smiling softly, the ex-strike commander glanced down at Gabriel's hand and said, "Need to do something during retirement." Jack shot back.

Jack could tell the older male wanted to say something, but Gabriel simply swallowed and then snorted, rolling his eyes. "You'd look cute in an apron." He taunted with a wide grin painted on his face.

After a few seconds of silence, the blonde took Gabriel's hand into his own, rubbing a thumb over his knuckles. The heat that coiled in the ex-strike commander's stomach seemed to intensify as his cheeks turned a darker pink. Everything in his was screaming at Jack to back off; he shouldn't be testing whatever moment that he and Gabriel were trapped in. But of course, the blonde was his own sabotage, and he couldn't help how Gabriel looked. "You look cute eating everything I feed you," Jack replied.

The older male froze, his shoulder tensing before relaxing a few seconds later. His brown eyes shifted down to his stomach; the blonde could see the gears spinning in the older male's head, sending a small wave of anxiety through Jack's chest. Gabriel bit down on his lip, pulling his tight shirt down slightly, only for it to snap back into its original position. The smaller male could feel his member twitching harshly while he bit down on his lip. "I'm still mad at you, but can you rub my stomach?" Gabriel questioned lowly.

The blonde nodded slowly, scooting closer to the older male, their knees gently brushing against each other. "Of course, babe," he responded in a whisper. Leaning forward, he gently pressed his hands against the taut skin, eliciting a soft whimper from the older man.

Another noise escaped the other male's throat as he inhaled and exhaled softly. "Y-you don't have to sleep on the couch tonight... I could use the extra warmth since you run so fucking hot." Gabriel muttered, leaning his head against Jack's shoulder.

It's not fixed, but it's a start. Jack smirked, pecking the older male on the forehead, and then leaned his head on the side of Gabriel's. "I'd love to be an extra blanket for you reaps..." The blonde replied.

~Jack's P.O.V~

The blonde leaned against the counter and glanced at the book in front of him, his cheek resting on his hand. "Lemon bars would be a good way to apologize." Jack thought with a sigh. To be honest, the blonde didn't think Gabriel would harbor such deep resentment for so long. Usually, when the two got into a fight, the blonde would give in and say sorry first, or they would just ignore one another until Ana or Angela intervened and made the males have to communicate. He wasn't sure whether this would help him, but strange things had happened in their relationship. The man's blue eyes flicked back and forth between the cookbook and the closed door. With a hurried grab for the various ingredients and a rapid dump onto the counter, Jack shook his head, chewing the inside of his cheek. Jack's blue eyes went down to his phone as the ex-strike leader made the batter, his foggy mind drifting back toward the hacker and sharpshooter.

If Sombra wants to, she can hack everything, Jackie. Gabriel's voice murmured in the recesses of his mind. The mere thought of Sombra hacking his phone sent a chill down his spine as the blonde slowly stirred the batter. A part of him craved to send Cole a text to see if the cowboy could find anything. Thanks to Gabriel and the Dead Eyes, the man was proficient at tracking; it used to terrify the blonde with how good the younger male was. But the other half of him didn't want to make matters worse; the Latino was already in a bad mood, and as well as showing signs of forgiving Jack, he didn't want to do anything to ruin that. He just has to wait and hope that he can convince Gabriel to let Overwatch and Jack help. Sighing, the male slowly poured the batter into a small pan and smoothed the top before tossing it into the oven.

While the lemon bars were cooking, Jack focused his attention on cleaning the kitchen before slowly making his way toward the bedroom door. Hovering his hand above the door as fear crept into his gut. "G-Gabe, I almost finished with the dessert I wanted you to try." He called, knocking gently. Jack waited for a few minutes before exhaling loudly and then walked back into the kitchen. The blonde tried to push the excitement down when he heard the bedroom door squeaking open, peeking his head out of the doorway, watching the older male bring up his videogame onto the living room TV. Sprawling out slightly, while his brown eyes focused on the flashing device, the blonde bit down on his bottom lip as his eyes traveled down to Gabriel's belly, which was sitting proudly on his lap. A smirk formed on the ex-strike commander's face when he noticed that the Latino stole one of his shirts that bearly hid the curve of his beachball abdomen.

Blood seeped into Jack's mouth as he bit down harder, noticing the waistband of the sweatpants gently biting into the older male's plush hips. Shaking his head, the blonde quickly looked down, turning off the timer on his phone, and then pulled the small pan out of the oven. The blonde quickly grabbed a cup from the cupboard, poured out some milk, and then started cutting the bars into small squares before finally plating them. Walking back into the living room, the ex-strike commander could still feel the tension that lingered in the air. Setting the dishes down onto the coffee table, and then slowly sat down next to the older male, watching the TV for a few minutes. A couple of minutes of silence passed before Jack held out a lemon bar, watching the Latino snatch it from his hand, and then take a large bite. The younger male would pretend to ignore the soft sound that escaped the other male's mouth as he finished the dessert. "A little too tart, but other than that, good as always," Gabriel commented, turning his attention back to the TV.

Jack reached over, picked up the plate, and placed it on Gabriel's belly curve. "I'll make sure to make a note of that if I make them again." He grinned. Jack glanced again between the Latino and the TV, and the blonde shifted anxiously. "Can I watch you play?" After a few minutes, he inquired.

Gabriel chewed slowly and then nodded his head. "Sure." He trailed off.

The blonde shifted closer toward the other male, gently nuzzling his cheek into Gabriel's plush bicep. The ex-strike commander blushed slightly as he watched the TV flash different colors. Sneaking a glance toward the older male as he ate slowly, Jack felt his eyes start traveling once more as he glanced down at the round mound next to him. Every instinct was screaming for the younger male to reach out and touch the globe that protruded from his boyfriend's ribs. I felt his member jerk slightly as he cautiously reached out a shaky hand, leisurely stroking down the warmed skin. The noise that escaped the older male's mouth snapped the blonde from his trance as he quickly retracted his hand away. "Sorry," he muttered.

After a prolonged period of silence, Gabriel looked down at the partially consumed plate. Chewing the inside of his cheek as his mental gears went into overdrive. The Latino finally reached down after what seemed like hours, took Jack's hand in his, and placed it on the side of his swollen stomach. "It's okay if you touch me," he said in a quiet voice. The blonde leaped from his sofa without pausing, straddling the other man's lap with Gabriel's round, swollen abdomen nestling lovingly against his flat one. The smaller male glanced down at the last two lemon bars, picking them both up in both hands and then lightly shoved one of them into his mouth. The former strike commander watched Gabriel chew the first one up quickly, burping into his fist and then groaning.

After a short while, the blonde said, "Only one more baby, you're doing so good for me," while holding up the final Lemon Bar. He gave praise. Opening his mouth, the Latino let out another moan from the back of his throat. Jack's heart hammered against his chest, and it seemed as though the world around them slowed down. His hands trembled gently as heat coiled in his lower belly. He fed the last bar to the older man, who groaned pitifully and bit his lip hard. After finishing the lemon bar, the blonde quickly threw the dish aside and threw his arms around the older man's neck, drawing him closer and causing Gabriel to gasp in pain as they made out. A few minutes later, both of them panting gently, they pulled apart. "God, you're filling out so nicely for me, Gabe; you have no idea how turned on I am right now with how big you are getting." Leaning his head against Gabriel's, he whispered.

The Latino chuckled softly, "Why do you think I keep eating? I love seeing you all riled up trying to hide the fact you've been staring at me all night." He replied, gently nipping at the blonde's plump lip.

The blonde gave a loud laugh and rolled his eyes. "You're such a fucking tease, Reaps, I swear. behaving as though you are a huge house cat pleading for love." He groaned, nipping the older male's ear.

The older male dug his thick fingers into the blonde's ribs. "Bedroom...please..." He begged.

The ex-strike commander placed his slim hands on the other males. "Maybe I want to see you with more Reaps. It's such an enjoyment to watch." He taunted.

The Latino let out a low whimper, and Jack realized with a sinking heart that the elder man was now sulking. Gabriel squeezed the blonde a little harder and pressed his forehead against the smaller man's chest. "Don't make me beg Jack; it's your fault I'm acting like this anyway," Gabriel murmured.

Jack gently cupped his hand underneath Gabriel's chin, lifting his head. "Only because you asked so nicely, Reaps." The blonde said, with a wide smirk.

Gabriel threw his arms around the smaller man's waist, propelled himself to his feet, and dashed inside the bedroom. Gently placing the blonde on the bed, he peeled off his shirt as well as that of the former strike leader. The Latino moved in and traced the other man's lips from his shoulder to his chest. Jack groaned raspily and arched his back a little as his breath caught in his throat. "You are driving me crazy with those noises, Indiana," Gabriel whispered, lapping his tongue across the smaller male's neck.

The younger male gasped loudly, digging his nails into the other male's shoulder and tangling the heels of his feet into the sheets. The ex-strike commander noticed the black smoke seeping from the Latino's shoulders, raking his nails down the male's shoulder and moaning loudly. "R-R-Reaps..." He panted. The blonde let out a moan as Gabriel's heated breath touched the smaller man's neck, and he quickly wrapped his arms around the man's neck, turning him onto his back. The smaller male stared down at Gabriel's crimson eyes. The male quickly shook the doubt that gnawed at his chest and smiled softly. "M-M-My turn." He grinned, leaning forward, and started making out with the other.

A heart chuckle came from the male underneath the blonde. "Do your worst, Blondie." He taunted.

With haste, Jack began stripping off his clothing, throwing the remaining ones into the corner. "As you wish Reaps." With a whisper, he began taking the Latino's clothes off. The older male whimpered softly, tangled his fingers in the sheets, and squeezed his eyes shut as the younger male took the lubrication off the nightstand and coated two fingers before carefully putting them inside Gabriel. Using one hand to massage the fatter man's swollen tummy, the blonde pumped his fingers for several minutes. Smiling, he watched as the man beneath him writhed, arching his back and breathing lightly. Jack started pumping his fingers more quickly after a few minutes, and soon after that, he added a third finger. Gabriel bit his lip out of unexpected pleasure, but when he opened his mouth, nothing came out but air.

The Latino flung his head back, curling his toes tightly and letting out a loud yell as tears pierced his eyes. The former commander of strikes pressed his fingers farther into Gabriel's thick thighs. Grabbing a handful of sheets and arching his back, he watched the older man quiver and gasp. Jack gently poked a fourth finger inside Gabriel, causing the male to leap. "Do you think you can handle one more baby?" He quizzed with a smirk.

Fat tears spilled down the older male's cheeks. "P-P-Please Jack." Gabriel whimpered loudly.

The blonde nodded, leisurely adding a fourth finger inside the male. "Taking it so good for me, baby." He praised. The ex-strike commander quickly withdrew his fingers from inside the older male, earning a soft whine from the other. Spreading his legs further apart, he then leaned down and bit down onto Gabriel's thigh, causing the other to scream out in pleasure. The older male tangled his fingers in the other's blonde hair, tugging slightly as his member leaked against his stomach.

The Latino leaned his head back. "J-J-J-Jack, please, I need you inside me!" He begged.

Jack sent shivers down the older man's spine as he traced his lips over the bruised bite mark. Gabriel growled in frustration as time seemed to be passing. The blonde gave the man a low-pitched laugh in his ear before thrusting into the Latino roughly. The Latino cried out, his mind too clouded, as the smaller male continued thrusting into him. Time seemed to blur past them as Jack released into Gabriel, while the older male released against his lower belly. The blonde slumped down next to the chubbier male, swallowing thickly, and then leaned forward and pecked him on the cheek as they both were consumed by sleep.

Chapter Text

The fragrance of cooking awakened Gabriel, and he slowly blinked the sleep from his eyes. With a faint murmur, the man rubbed his eyes as his hand moved toward the warm, vacant area beside him. Moving toward the bed's edge, he pushed himself up onto his feet and headed for the restroom. As he undressed, he flicked his brown eyes from the scale beneath the sink to his tummy before turning on the water. The Latino cautiously stepped on the scale, rolling his eyes and biting his cheek in nervousness as he observed the red numbers blink several times before flashing on the screen. 300. Gabriel hurriedly got off the scale, shoved the ideas to the back of his mind and entered the shower. After finishing, the man dressed quickly and entered the living room, where he saw a small black and white kitten curled up on the couch. The Latino came into the kitchen, saw the blonde humming and preparing breakfast, and scooped up the small animal. "Did we get plastered last night and steal Ana's cat?" Gabriel enquired.

Jack laughed, put down the pan, and gave the other man a cheek kiss. "No, I realized that I never gave you the cat you mentioned you wanted when you were a child. Tux is his name." The blonde responded.

Setting Tux down, Gabriel let the little animal meander back into the living room before lunging forward and planting a kiss on Jack. The pair made out for a few minutes before the Latino had to come up for air, leaning his head against the other male's. "I'm sorry. I was wrong." He whispered.

The ex-strike commander smirked, wrapping his arms around Gabriel. Nuzzling his face into the older male's neck, "Gabe, it's fine. I understand." He replied.

The Latino shook his head, letting out a shaky breath. "No, you were right, Jack. We're supposed to be in this together. I panicked when Sombra called me, and it felt like I was right back on that table. I'm so fucking scared you're going to get hurt or they'll take you away from me. I already feel guilty leaving the girls as much as I love them. I admittedly don't want anything to do with them; I'm finally fucking happy in my small fucking bubble." He explained.

Jack cupped Gabriel's face. "You won't lose me, Gabe; you know better than anyone I am capable of taking care of myself. But if you really are worried, if you don't want to get involved, we can forget about it and move forward. I had a few new ideas I wanted to try on you." The blonde smiled mischievously.

Gabriel barked out a laugh, wrapping his arms around the smaller male's hips. Nuzzling his face into the ex-strike commander's shoulder. "As tempted as I am to hear what crazy ideas you have, Blondie. You know now that I know the girls are in danger, I won't be able to turn off my brain. Let's hear what they have to say, and if we think it's too risky, then we'll pull out." The Latino answered.

The blonde took a few steps backward, her blue eyes shifting down toward the older male's round belly. Pale hands palmed the front of it, "Looks like your belly isn't the only thing that grew little Raven." He teased with a large grin on his face.

Gabriel snorted, grabbing the cup of coffee off the counter, "Perv." He called, taking a small sip before disappearing into the living room.

Jack appeared from the kitchen a few minutes later, with two plates in hand. "Do I get to know how much you weigh, or are you going to continue keeping it a secret?" He quizzed, arching an eyebrow.

Gabriel took the plate gently and then started eating slowly. "Maybe I like keeping you in suspense; it makes the game of chase more fun." He replied.

The smaller male made a noise in the back of his throat, "Rude, come on, Gabe. You're driving me crazy." The blonde groaned, leaning his head back against the couch.

The older male barked out another laugh, stealing a kiss from the other male. "Good, just means railing you would be so much sweeter." He taunted.

Jack glanced down at his half-eaten plate before scraping the remaining food onto Gabriel's plate. Watching the male seem unphased as he continued eating. "Funny that you think that you're doing the railing." He commented.

The older male's phone buzzed on the coffee table, and Jack could tell the older male tensed slightly. As he scooped up his phone, setting his plate on the curve of his stomach. "I could if you didn't turn me into such a house cat." He responded while unlocking his phone.

The ex-strike commander leaned his head on the other's shoulder, humming. "You like it." He whispered. A few minutes of silence passed before the blonde noticed Gabriel's expression turned sour. "What's wrong?" He asked, rubbing the Latino's arm.

Gabriel swallowed the food in his mouth. "Sombra texted. She wants an answer." He replied.

Jack cocked his head to the side, peeking over the older male's shoulder. "What are you going to tell her?" He quizzed.

The older male shrugged slightly, "Exactly what I told you, that I'll hear her out but don't get her hopes up." He answered.

The blonde glanced down at his lap, picking at his fingernails for a few minutes. "Do you want me to go with you?" He stammered.

Gabriel stared at the smaller male for a moment, chewing the inside of his cheek. "Maybe, depending on where she wants to meet." He admitted.

The older male's phone buzzed in his hand once more. Jack leaned forward, staring at the screen for a long moment. Widow wants to meet tonight at our normal spot. Bring Blondie; it'll be nice to break him in. -S

The blonde furrowed his brows with confusion. "Do I wanna know what breaking me in means?" He asked nervously.

Gabriel quickly scarfed the rest of his food and then pocketed his phone. "Don't worry about it; she's just picking on you." He said, disappearing into the kitchen.

Chapter 16: ⇠Game Plan⇢

Summary:

Gabriel and Jack meet with Widowmaker and Sombra. Gabriel hates the plan.

Chapter Text

~Jack's P.O.V~

Jack walked silently beside Gabriel, his hands in his pockets as he glanced over the bustling road. Anxiety churned in Jack's stomach as his blue eyes shifted toward the older man. He couldn’t understand how Gabriel wasn’t sweating in all black; the baggy hoodie barely revealed the Latino's belly, but only if you were looking closely enough. Jack gravitated close to the older male, his shoulder gently brushing against the other male's. Turning his head, the younger male opened his mouth to speak, only to close it when someone shouted his name quickly. The ex-strike commander fought the instinct to get ready to shoot whoever shouted at them, hands balled into fists at his side as the sniper and hacker bolted from their picnic table, latching themselves on the older male, who stumbled slightly. The blonde watched the trio for a moment, chuckling as Gabriel rolled his eyes and wrapped an arm around Sombra, who had a large smile on her face. The trio conversed among themselves until Widowmaker’s dark eyes turned toward him, sending a wave of uneasiness through the ex-strike commander. "So, this is the one who won over Reap's heart. It’s nice to finally see you without us shooting at each other, Jack," she said, extending her hand in greeting.

The blonde chewed the inside of his cheek, staring at the woman's hand for a moment. Exhaling softly before gently taking her hand and shaking it, "Happy to meet you guys as well; Gabe talks about you two all the time." He replied.

Sombra made a noise in the back of her throat, rolling her eyes while waving her wrist toward Jack. "Sure, sure, whatever. Reaps, Ms. Daniel's bakery is back!" she exclaimed, bouncing from foot to foot.

The older male folded his arms over his chest and said, "I'm not going to your stupid bakery, Sombra; take your girlfriend." He grumbled.

The small hacker puffed out her cheeks and playfully hit Gabriel's arm with her fists. "It's not the same! Amélie's palate is too refined for sweets, and with how annoyed she is with me, she’d probably let me eat something that would give me food poisoning," she complained.

Gabriel huffed, placing a hand on the smaller woman's head, and pushed her away. "With how much you annoy me, I may poison you, Sombra..." He said.

Sombra narrowed her eyes and quickly dove underneath the Latino. She used her teleportation ability to disappear and then reappear on Gabriel's shoulders, poking his cheek with a clawed finger. "Boo! Stop being grumpy. I thought Bonnie softened you up a little. Please, Reaps," she begged.

The smoke monster growled and swatted her hand away. "Fine, stop poking me," he demanded.

Widowmaker and Jack followed behind as Sombra grabbed the Latino's hand, pulling him along. She pointed and rambled about whatever she saw, while the blonde noticed the amusement in the older male's eyes as he nodded in response. Once they arrived at the bakery, the small hacker pulled Gabriel toward the counter. Meanwhile, Jack and Widowmaker found a table at the back of the shop. The ex-strike commander scanned the small space, inhaling and exhaling softly before turning to the sniper. "Are you two safe being out in public?" He asked.

Widowmaker smiled, nodding her head. "Talon hasn't checked here yet, but it won't be long before they do. I appreciate you meeting with us, Jack." She replied.

"I know how much you two mean to Gabe; I offered to ask Overwatch for help. But he practically had a tantrum when I mentioned them." Jack stated.

The sniper studied the male across from her. "Do you blame him? Not very good memories of that place." She questioned softly.

The blonde shook his head, deflating slightly. "There are not very many good memories for us in general; the only reason we're together is because he broke his foot and was useless alone." He exhaled loudly.

The woman smiled, placing a cool hand on top of Jack's. "You shouldn't take your victories for granted. There were moments during our time in Talon when memories of you helped Reaps on difficult days," she explained. "Reaper and Gabriel are two very different people. Reaper may respect you and protect you for his own benefit, as it makes Gabe happy. But it is Gabriel who loves you and would do anything to see you smile." She added.

The blonde felt his cheeks flush with embarrassment as he nervously chewed on the bottom of his lip and picked at his nails. Minutes passed in a comfortable silence until Sombra and Gabriel returned to the table, carrying a drink carrier and a small tray filled with different bags. Jack felt himself relax. Gabriel fell into the spot next to the ex-strike commander while the hacker slumped next to the sniper, blowing on her drink a few times before holding out the styrofoam cup for the other to try. The younger male grabbed his drink, taking a few long sips while the Latino did the same, breaking a large chunk off his lemon bread and passing it to the other male. Jack dipped his head, scooped up the piece quickly, and ate it, humming as the flavors melted on his tongue.

The small group ate in a silent moment until Gabriel sighed. "Look, this is great. But you said we needed to talk." He said, pushing the food and drinks toward the blonde.

Both women exchanged glances before setting their drinks down. "Talon was seen two towns over; we heard that Overwatch managed to get everyone out before any casualties happened. But the town was destroyed." Widowmaker explained.

The smoke monster swallowed thickly, "They onto you two yet?" Gabriel asked.

The sniper shook her head. "Like I told Jack, not yet. But it's only a matter of time before they are." She replied.

The ex-strike commander inhaled, folding his arms over his chest. "What do you want us to do? We're both retired." He quizzed, arching an eyebrow.

Widowmaker gnawed her bottom lip nervously, her eyes flicking toward the hacker next to her. Jack noticed the tension in her shoulders, as well as the uncertainty flashing through her eyes. "Sombra has an idea... But it's risky," she answered, gesturing toward Sombra.

"We should attack them first." Sombra prompted.

“Are you out of your mind?” Gabriel shouted, causing a few people to turn their heads at the commotion. Jack quickly rubbed the older man's arm, trying to calm him down as he noticed the shadows seeping from his shoulders.

Sombra leaned forward, hands shaking slightly. "If we attack them first, they can't hurt anyone else, Gabe. We'd be saving so many lives if we took out Talon." She whispered.

Gabriel inhaled and exhaled slowly, "How do you suggest we do that? I'm not risking people of Overwatch as well, Sombra; they have been through enough." He asked harsher than attended.

The smaller woman paused for a moment, eyes focused on the table in front of her. Minutes passed before Widowmaker finally spoke. "Sending someone on the inside; if we can figure out a way to take them out before they can come up with another attack on the next city, then it'll be easier." She said.

Gabriel followed their gazes, anger bubbling in his chest as black smoke seeped from his shoulders with each exhale. "No! No way, screw that!" He growled lowly.

Both women seemed shocked, as fear sparked in their eyes. "He's perfect, Reaps; Talon never saw his face, just his tactical visor and jacket. We can dye his hair and change his look, then he'll be fresh enough to pass their test." Sombra argued, her voice cracking slightly.

The older male narrowed his eyes, digging his nails into the meat of his palm while clenching his teeth. "I said no! Fuck you for thinking that I would be okay with this. Both of you lose my number." The Latino screamed, pushing himself from the booth, and storming out of the shop.

The blonde watched for a moment before shaking himself out of his train of thought. "Gabe!" He called, pinching the bridge of his nose and sighing. "He doesn't mean it; you know how he gets when he's upset. Look, I'll talk to him about it and try and get him to agree. Give me your number and I'll text you." He said, pulling his phone from his pocket and sliding it across the table.

Widowmaker was the first to move, scooping the phone up with shaky hands. "T-Thanks Jack... We understand...." She whispered, sliding the device back toward the blonde.

Pocketing the phone quickly, the ex-strike commander slid out of the booth. "If you need somewhere to sleep, go to the base in the town over from us; they'll take you in. Just tell Ana that Gabe sent you." He instructed quickly before following behind the older male.

Chapter 17: ⇠Friends Worth Fighting For⇢

Summary:

Jack tries to convince Gabe to help Widowmaker and Sombra.

Notes:

Finally, after ten thousand years, I have come back to this series and have finally a direction I wanna go. I'm so happy to get back and write these two; I didn't know how much I missed them until I uploaded Freaky Friday. Uploads might be slower than normal just because my wife is still feeling the effects of her concussion and I need to watch her closely.

I'm not a doctor so I don't know if this is the correct way of treating a burn, I just asked my aunt who works in a doctor's office.

~Jack's P.O.V~

They had returned home hours ago, but Gabriel had gone into the bedroom, and the blonde hadn't heard anything from him, making the ex-strike commander uneasy. Pushing the uneasiness to the back of his mind, the blonde continued making dinner, chewing the inside of his cheek until blood coated his mouth. He knew it was bad to voice his concerns to Gabriel, especially since the other man was already upset about Sombra finding them. The tension grew even thicker when the sniper brought Jack into the equation. Gabriel became increasingly protective of the blonde the more time they spent together, and Jack wasn't sure if it was due to the intimacy they now shared or if there was something else at play. Inhaling softly, the male glanced down at the pot of boiling water for a few minutes, slowly pouring the pasta, hissing as hot water splashed onto the blonde's wrist.

The ex-Overwatch commander clenched his teeth, staring at the bright pink blotch on his pale skin. Then, quickly, he ran toward the fridge to grab some aloe. Running the cool gel over the burn, the male sighed with relief as the stinging pain slowly settled into a dull throbbing pain. Wrapping his wrist with a cool paper towel, the male leaned against the counter, staring up at the ceiling for a few minutes. His brain was whirling; he had to cheer up the other male before he brooded too long, then it would be too late to change his mind. The blonde hated using this card against Gabriel, but sometimes, it was the only way to get him to listen. A smirk formed on the smaller male's face, Ana and Angela would call him the Gabriel whisperer whenever someone couldn't get through to the ex-Talon Agent.

Always called Jack the only person the smoke monster would find reason with. Half of the blonde wondered if Widowmaker and Sombra had trouble getting him to listen when they were in Talon, even if he wouldn't admit it, but the older male always had a soft part for the two. Claiming they'd reminded him of his two sisters back home. Pushing himself off the counter, the male walked back toward the stove and continued cooking dinner. Jack wasn't sure how long he stood there cooking dinner, brain too hazy to register the world around him, chewing the inside of his cheek as he plated both of them dinner. If the blonde had to be honest, he thought the smell of food would entice the older male out of the room.  In the short months that they had spent, food always seemed to work whenever Gabriel was in a mood. Dread gnawed at Jack's stomach as he set the plates down on the table and then slowly made his way toward the bedroom door.

Jack's heart thudded against his rib cage as he wrung his hands together. Swallowing thickly, his blue eyes shifted down toward the bottom of the door, noticing thick waves of shadows seeping from the small crack. He must be really pissed, Jack thought, teeth clamping down on his bottom lip. The blonde let out a shaky breath, his hand hovering above the door. "R-Reaps? I made some pasta for dinner," He called. The ex-Overwatch commander waited for a few minutes before knocking once more, the dread in his stomach worsened as his blood rushed to his ears. "I-I-I'll leave it on the table for you. Come out and eat when you're ready," Jack stated, spinning on his heels and rushing back toward the dining room. There have only been a few times when the blonde was scared of the smoke monster; most of them were when they were trying to kill each other. The rest were when Overwatch was still functional, and they had a few missions together. Shaking the memories to the back of his head, Jack slumped into his seat, eyes shifting toward the empty one next to him.

Jack stared down at his dinner, suddenly losing his appetite as he pushed the plate away. Burying his face in his hands, tears pricked the corners of his eyes, and his shallow, hot breaths against his hands sent a chill down his spine. Blinking back the tears, Jack quickly wiped his face with the back of his hand and pushed himself up once more. Blue eyes hardened slightly as he drew closer toward the bedroom door once more, a mix of fear gnawed at the pit of his stomach as he turned the knob. The tension in the room was thick, almost suffocating, as the smaller male entered the room. Shadows clung to the wall, seeping down onto the floor and swirling around the older man who was on his back, ruby eyes illuminating the dark room as he stared up at the ceiling. Closing the door behind him slowly, Jack swallowed,d drawing closer to the bed. "R-Reaps? Are you okay?" Jack quizzed, voice quivering slightly.

When the older man didn't respond, the blonde gently brushed his leg against the other's thigh. Hearing an inaudible sound from the Smoke Monster, the ex-Overwatch commander closed his eyes for a few seconds, every instinct in his body screaming at him to run as more smoke spilled onto the bed. Slumping down next to the older man, the blonde glanced at his hand, exhaling softly before reaching over to take Gabeirle's hand in his. "You know, just because we ask Overwatch for help doesn't mean they're going to get hurt, right? Overwatch is stronger than ever, and every agent can handle themselves," he questioned once more.

The room was silent for what felt like hours until Jack noticed Gabriel curling his fingers around the other males. A shadow of a smile formed on the smaller male's face as he shifted closer, watching as Gabriel flinched softly. Minutes passed before the tension in the older man's shoulders seemed to melt away as he exhaled loudly. Jack could see the various emotions flickering in the ex-Talon Agent's brown eyes as the wheels in his mind spun rapidly. "They shouldn't even be in danger in the first place," Gabriel finally said, turning his head to look at the smaller male.

The blonde hummed, understanding Gabriel's perspective. He blamed himself for the situation, and the thought of Jack being involved again seemed to push him over the edge. They grew silent once more, and the blonde ran his fingers along the other's scarred knuckles. "It's not your fault, babe; you can't control what Talon does," Jack whispered, gently laying his head down on Gabriel's shoulder. "I know you want to protect me, and I appreciate that. But if we don't do something, then Widowmaker and Sombra will be hunted down." He continued.

Gabriel inhaled sharply, his eyes slipping closed as he tightened his grip around the smaller male's hand. Jack screwed his eyes shut, flinching mentally as he hissed lowly. He knew that the blonde was right; they had to take Talon out before they grew too powerful and the world was in danger, but the thought of going against the group honestly scared him. Faint memories of bright hospital rooms and the smell of antiseptic and blood rushed to his head, causing large shadow masses to form around the bed. Pushing the memories deep into the back of his head, the smoke monster released Jack's hand and then growled, startling the smaller male as he rolled off the bed. "This is my fault, Jack, they're using them to get to me. Don't you get it!? They want me, Jack. Not the girls, not Overwatch. Me!" He shouted, large pillows of smoke flowing from his shoulders. The blonde watched smoke seep from the corner of the older male's eyes, spilling down his ashen skin as his shoulder trembled harshly. "M-Maybe I'm not good enough for a perfect ending! Look what I did to you, to them. H-How can I ask for help after what I did to them." He continued pressing a hand against his chest.

Jack paused, mouth agape, as his eyes grew owlish. The blonde slowly stood up, closing the distance between them. Setting his hands on the older male's arms, he knew the fall was a tough subject for both of them. The fall of Overwatch wasn't just the company being destroyed, a lot of friendships got destroyed that day as well. If the blonde had to be honest, he selfishly hoped that the topic would never arise again, that the two of them could peacefully live the rest of their lives together. But The world didn't work that way, and now the ex-Overwatch Commander had to relive that day over again, had to watch the one person he truly cared about become a shell of a person again. "I-Is that what you think? This is your fault they're after the girls?" He stammered, shoulders trembling slightly.

The blonde swallowed the lump in his throat as the black smoke flowed down Gabriel's dark cheeks. Large chunks of the ex-Talon Agent's cheeks were missing, revealing teeth and bone, "T-They don't blame you, Gabe, everyone knows it wasn't you." The blonde replied, wrapping his slender arms around the larger male's shoulders, pulling him close to the blonde's chest. "I love you so much, Gabriel Reyes, and I will tear Talon down for making you think that you're worthless. You are the strongest man I will ever know, and you held Blackwatch together better than I ever could." He whispered.

Gabriel snorted, and the blonde felt him roll his eyes. Jack could feel the older male's body relax once more as the blonde gently ran his fingers through Gabriel's hair. A faint sound of purring escaped the male's throat, and the ex-Overwatch commander fought back the urge to snicker as he let his eyes close softly and continued. "Sure, that's why I had to go to a crazed scientist to stop myself from dying," he muttered into the smaller male's shoulder.

They stood silently for a couple more minutes, Gabriel moving his face further into the smaller male's neck. Inhaling deeply as the shadows surrounding them started retreating into the smoke monster's body. Jack watched the light in the room return leisurely, the tension in his shoulders uncurling while his body relaxed fully. "Talon isn't going to stop just because Overwatch gets involved, Jack. You're talking about a war, and I don't know if you'll survive it," Gabriel said after a few minutes, exhaling slowly.

Jack ignored the spike of emotions that washed through his body as the older male's hot breath tickled his neck. He knew what he was getting into, and if he was honest, the blonde was worried that neither of them would survive this. With a sly smile, the blonde buried his nose in the older man's hair and took a deep breath. "Don't you think it's worth trying, at least?" He said, letting Gabriel's college engulf his nose. "No one else needs to experience what you three did if we can stop Talon." He drew back just enough to glance at the other man before asking.

The ex-Overwatch commander could see the argument flash through Gabriel's brown eyes as the shadows that clung to his cheeks disappeared as well. "Fine..." He muttered.

A wave of relief sparked through the blonde's chest. "First, you are going to get some food in you, then we should get a hold of Ana and try and figure out a way to hide the girls at the base until we can come up with a plan," Jack said.

Jack gently took the larger male's hand and led Gabriel back into the dining room. Gabriel slumped into the seat next to him, resting his cheek against his hand as he watched Jack poke at his pasta before finally taking a bite. Exhaustion washed over the ex-Overwatch commander, causing his eyelids to grow heavy. He struggled against the urge to yawn, covering his mouth in an attempt to hold it back. “If they're following us, then Talon already knows that Sombra made contact with me. They probably have an agent watching all three of us,” Gabriel replied.

"So what do we do then?" The blonde asked.

The smoke monster finished his plate, and Jack swiftly pushed his untouched plate toward the older male. Brown eyes flicked up toward the blonde, arching an eyebrow. Silently grabbed the plate and started eating. "Act normal for a few days; the less they know, the better. Give it three days, and then contact Ana." He responded.

"I'll text her and let her know," Jack said, nodding his head.

Chapter 18: ⇠Chubby Little Raven⇢

Summary:

Gabriel finally comes to terms with his weight.

Chapter Text

395

Gabriel's heart sank as he glanced down at the brightly lit number below him, while a newly formed heat started creeping through his lower belly. He knew he had gained a few pounds between the stress and Jack's nagging, but he never expected it to be this noticeable. As he pulled his loose T-shirt down over his stomach, he rested a hand on the faint curve, letting out a soft sigh while putting on his joggers. He tried to ignore the fact that they felt snug around his hips and gently pressed into his stomach. Running a hand through his damp hair, the smoke monster padded into his bedroom and then out into the living room, noticing the blonde sitting on the couch, scarfing down his lunch. "Keep scarfing down your food like that and you'll turn out like me." He taunted playfully, gently lowering himself next to the other male.

The blonde smirked, setting his plate onto the coffee table and leaning up against the other male. Hand gently stroking the curve of Gabriel's stomach. Peppering the older male's chin with kisses, he pulled himself into the Latino's lap, tangling his thin fingers in the male's hair. Forcing the Latino's head back against the couch as his lips traveled down the other male's neck. They kissed for a few more minutes before Jack gently pulled away, his hand still holding the beach ball orb as he smirked. "Nah, being chubby and cute is all you," he whispered again. The older man could feel his cheeks darken as he ducked his head slightly, burying his nose into the blonde's neck. The ex-Overwatch commander smiled softly, gently scratching the back of Gabriel's head while planting a kiss on the side of it. "Are you hungry? I made Salisbury steaks," he asked.

Gabriel chuckled softly, nodding his head against Jack's neck. Jack patted Gabriel's leg, then slid off his lap and sauntered into the kitchen. A couple of minutes later, he returned to the couch with a plate full of food, holding it out for Gabriel. The chubbier muttered a thank you as he took the plate, and Jack plopped down beside him, curling up against his plush side, then turned on the TV. The room fell into a comfortable silence. Sometime during the movie, Jack had wrapped his thin arms around the chubbier male once more. His slender fingers gently pressed into the small rolls protruding from the Latino's sides. Gabriel fought the need to flinch, swallowing the food in his mouth as he studied the smaller male for a moment. The heat coiling in his lower stomach returned a couple of minutes later. Gabriel's brain had been whirling since he saw the number flash on the scale.

At first, he attributed the weight gain to his injury and the need for recovery. If the Latino was honest, he found it enjoyable; it sparked something in his chest whenever Jack doted on him or cooked for him. Their relationship seemed to evolve into something entirely different when they brought the weight to light, and Gabriel was okay with keeping it to make the blonde happy. A small part of Gabriel also relished the satisfaction that bubbled in his stomach whenever the blonde fed him too much or praised him with a belly rub or two after he fulfilled whatever Jack had asked of him. Gabriel thought the feeling was pushed back far enough to the back of his head, but as time continued, it slowly trickled to the front of his brain. Edging him to cross that line and to take the dive with the blonde. But Gabriel was too scared. Too scared that he'd scare off Jack, too scared that it would ruin whatever relationship they managed to scrape up from the ever-ending pit.

He believed he had thoroughly examined his feelings on the subject, but a small voice in the back of his mind continued to taunt him. Gabriel knew he needed to talk to the blonde, or they would end up in another fight. At the same time, a part of him urged him to embrace this new pleasure, providing numerous reasons why it was a good idea. The sparkle that would light up the blonde's eye was the main reason behind the internal urge that screamed at him to take action. Gabriel finished the plate quickly, setting the empty plate onto the coffee table and burping into his fist while Jack ran a hand over the small curve. "D-Did you mean it?" The chubbier male asked after a few minutes of silence.

The blonde shifted slightly, turning his attention to the older male, his brows furrowed in confusion as he tilted his head to the side. "Did I mean what?" the blonde asked hesitantly.

Gabriel swallowed hard, digging his thumb into his palm while chewing on the inside of his cheek. Just do it—what's the worst that could happen? Him leaving? The voice taunted him, but the Latino pushed it to the back of his mind. He turned his attention to the blonde and whispered, "The weight..."

Jack stared at the older male momentarily, gently biting down on his tongue. Emotions swirled in his lower belly as his hands trembled on his lap. The blonde was over the moon about the newly gained weight on the chubbier male; it had sparked a new primal instinct inside of him that he wanted to chase until it killed him. Exhaling softly, the smaller male gently took Gabriel's hand into his own. "Of course I meant it, but if you don't like the weight, we can stop, Gabe. I want you to be happy and comfortable." He answered, rubbing a thumb across the Latino's knuckles. A couple of minutes passed before the ex-strike commander straddled the older male's lap, wrapping his arms around his shoulders. "Just say the word, and everything will stop. You win; we'll run and have Ana handle the girls. I just got you back, Gabe. I can't lose you again." He continued.

Gabriel leaned his head back against the couch, staring at the ceiling for a moment. "You and I both know you couldn't let all of this go. It's not fair for you to give up Overwatch." He replied.

Jack was quiet for a moment, his hands running down the chubby male's chest and across Gabriel's slightly bloated stomach. "I'm not concerned about Overwatch anymore; I care about you. Just say the word, and I'll pack a bag right now," he murmured.

The time seemed to pass slowly, and the Latino's head did not lift until a few additional minutes had passed. "What would we do if I told you that I liked the weight and wanted to continue?" the ex-Talon Agent questioned.

Jack paused, his hands hovering above the orb in front of him, as his eyes slowly widened and the corner of his lip twitched slightly. A mix of emotions swirled in his chest as he swallowed the large lump in his throat. They had discussed the wait a couple of months earlier, and if the former commander was being honest, Jack wondered whether the topic would come up again. There were many times Jack wanted to revisit the subject just to gauge Gabriel's feelings, but Gabriel's mood changed too rapidly for Jack to feel confident that their conversation wouldn't end up with them shouting at each other and ignoring one another again. A small part of Jack had hoped that it wouldn't come up and they could continue their life the way it was, but the larger part of the blonde wished that the Latino would come to some realization and it would make everything better.

Letting out a shaky breath, the ex-commander smirked, softly wrapping his arms around the chubbier male's neck, and then leaned down and kissed him roughly. Gabriel pulled away a couple of minutes later, brown eyes staring into Jack's blue ones as he chewed the bottom of his lip. Jack ran his hands down the chubbier male's chest, member twitching excitedly. "Is that what you want?" He quizzed hesitantly.

Time seemed to stand still as they gazed at each other. Gabriel let out a small sigh, his brown eyes drifting down to his stomach before returning to the blonde. He nodded slowly. "I-I still want to take things slow. With everything going on, I don't want to rush this..." he said, sitting up a bit.

The blonde leaned forward once more, gently kissing the other male's nose. "Of course, anything for you, my chubby raven," he whispered. Jack curled up in the other male's lap while Gabriel rubbed his hand softly down Jack's back, his cheeks burning with warmth. They both fell into a comfortable silence, watching whatever movie was playing on TV. A few minutes later, the blonde asked, "Are you still hungry?"

Gabriel let out a laugh as his mind raced with thoughts. You've already committed—it's now or never, a small voice reminded him in the back of his head. Slowly, he nodded once more. The ex-commander jumped off the Latino's lap and dashed to the kitchen. A few seconds later, he returned with a plate heaped with food. He lowered himself next to the older man, took a forkful of food, and held it out toward Gabriel's mouth. The Latino arched an eyebrow, studying the other male for a moment, opening his mouth to argue, only for Jack to quickly shove the fork into the chubbier male's mouth, causing him to squeak. The squeak melted into a playful growl as Gabriel shot a glare at the blonde, swallowing his food quickly. "I can feed myself, you know." He stated.

The blonde grabbed another forkful of food, a small pout forming on his face. "That's not what you said a couple of months ago. Come on, Gabe, don't you want to be my good boy?" he whined. A spike of pleasure and a shiver shot through the older male's spine as Gabriel's body tensed. A white-hot heat blossomed in his lower belly while the chubbier male bit down on his tongue. Copper filled his mouth slightly as he quickly swallowed the rising bile and blood in his mouth. The Latino opened his mouth, but only a wheezed sound came out, brown eyes flicking down toward the fork before he obediently opened his mouth for Jack to feed him. The blonde continued feeding him for what felt like hours, until the ex-commander traced a finger over his bloated stomach, watching the semi-taut skin flinch slightly against his cool fingers.

Smirking, the blonde set the plate on the curve of the Latino's stomach and straddled his lap once more; one hand gently sank into his love handles while the other continued tracing above his navel. A soft whine escaped Gabriel's mouth as he leaned his head back, squeezing his eyes shut as Jack gently lifted the large orb and let it fall from his hands and bounce violently. "You're getting so round, my little raven." The blonde complimented with a hum. Grabbing a handful of pudgy flesh, I watched it wobble against the chubby male's lap. "I'll have to get you some new clothing before you outgrow these at this rate." He continued, leaning down and gently sucking on Gabriel's round belly with his lips. The Latino gasped, keening softly while his nails dug into his thigh. A large grin formed on the blonde's face as his lips traveled up the older male's bloated stomach.

"My greedy, chubby raven, relax and let me take care of you," Jack whispered, picking up the plate and continuing to feed Gabriel. At some point, the blonde hooked his finger along the tight waistband of the other male's joggers, pulling them down a bit, watching the Latino's stomach roll forward a bit.

Gabriel panted softly, burping into his fist while pawing the front of his bloated stomach. "T-T-too tight." He whined. Jack nodded his head and gently dug his fingers on either side of the other male's distended belly and started massaging it slowly, earning a few gasps and moans from the older male until he fell asleep.

"Good boy."

Chapter 19: ⇠Proposal⇢

Summary:

Gabriel thinks about his future with Jack and has a mental breakdown because of it. Good thing Ana is here to slap him back into reality.

Notes:

Finally getting this chapter out after rewriting it three times, I honestly don't know why it took me so long to write this chapter. {That's a lie.} I have also finally outlined all the chapters for this series and counted twenty-five chapters. I know it's smaller than our other projects, but I'm happy with the number. The next chapter will be the war arc.

Chapter Text

Gabriel was awoken by the alarm blaring beside him, quickly slapping the clock off the older male, and pulled the pillow over his face. The silence only seemed to last for a couple of minutes before his phone rattled against the nightstand, causing the Latino to growl. Scooping his phone up, the male rubbed the sleep from his eyes, staring at the multiple texts from the sharpshooter before sighing, letting the device fall onto his chest. Head slowly turning toward the blonde who was still sound asleep, cheek squished on the pillow between him, legs sprawled out as far as they could, and drool soaking into the cover. Gabriel was always envious of Jack and his ability to sleep through a fire alarm, as well as his ability to fall asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. Brushing the haloing blonde hair from the smaller male's face, the older male leaned forward and kissed Jack on the cheek, slipped out of bed, and then finally padded into the bathroom. Gabriel took a quick shower, slipping on a baggy sweater and his last pair of joggers that fit him without pinching his lower stomach too badly. The male glanced at the sleeping form once more before slowly closing the bedroom door gently behind him, sauntering into the kitchen for a quick bagel. Leaving a note for Jack telling the blonde not to worry, he just went out with Ana, before grabbing his wallet and keys, and finally leaving the apartment.

Luckily, the cafe where he and Ana were meeting wasn't too far from the apartment. If he were fast enough, Gabriel would be home before Jack even woke up. He'd just have to find time after starting a war with Talon and the possibility of dying because of it. No biggie, Gabriel has scraped through tougher situations in his life; this was just another obstacle. When Gabriel got to the cafe, he slumped into the chair across from the sharpshooter, who slid an extra coffee and scone across the table for him. The older woman took a long sip of her coffee, polished nails gently tapping against the table. "Are you sure about this? I don't have an excuse in my back pocket for meeting an ex-Talon agent." She joked.

Gabriel snorted, rolling his eyes, "I'm sure you'd come up with something; you love me too much. Besides, this is a good way to make sure Talon thinks they have the upper hand. As well as you helping me with my other mission." The Latino answered, cheeks heating up slightly.

Ana smiled widely, breaking off part of her scone and tossing it into her mouth. "Finally going to do it, huh? I never thought it'd be you asking first." She teased lightly.

Gabriel made a sound in the back of his throat, taking a long drink of his overly sweet coffee. "Just have to get past not dying..." He muttered, rubbing a thumb over the large white scar on the palm of his hand.

The sharpshooter's brows furrowed as she slowly brought her cup toward her lips. Gabriel studied her for a moment and expected there to be yelling, or even her giving him the 'mom look,' but nothing came. Instead, Ana inhaled and exhaled softly, her painted nails tapping the styrofoam cup for a moment. "Is that why you're doing this, because you're expecting yourself to die?"

The Latino shook his head, but deep down, he knew he was lying to himself. He wasn't asking Jack just because he thought he was going to die; no, it was the blonde that Gabriel feared would be dead after this pointless war. If he stuck to his guns and insisted on leaving, they'd be in another city, curled up on the couch without a worry in the world. But a small part of Gabriel knew they were well past that point; Jack was too determined to leave anything alone. They were too bred for war at this point, and it felt abnormal not to fight something. Gabriel was also asking because, when he got his memories back, all the smoke monster wanted was his Indiana. He hated leaving Sombra and Widowmaker, but he needed to for his sanity and wouldn't let anyone guilt him into thinking otherwise. "No, I have been wanting to since I got my memories back, but I want to make sure there aren't any regrets just in case," Gabriel replied. The older male fell silent for a moment, brown eyes focused on the scar, biting down gently on his bottom lip. "With Rein, you just knew, right?" He asked.

Ana glanced down at the table, lips pressed into a tight line as she hummed softly. Turning the black and purple wedding ring a few times before chuckling. "No, I wasn't sure at first. We almost called the wedding off due to the fall, as well as you not being there." She explained. A small wave of guilt shot through the male, brown eyes flicking down at the table. The sharpshooter smiled softly, setting a hand on the other's hand. "It wasn't until Jack told me that you were alive and planning on bringing you home that I was sure. Rein stayed by my side through it all and comforted me when I was too depressed to get out of bed. Made sure I was fed, helped me talk through my feelings. That's when I knew he was going to be a good stepdad to Pharah, and he was my missing puzzle piece." She continued.

Gabriel let the words soak into his bones, inhaling and exhaling softly. "What if he says no...Then what do I do?" He quizzed, and half of the Latino knew it was a stupid question. There was no way Jack would say no; they had been attached to the hip for years now, and no matter how hard they pushed each other's buttons, one of them always apologized, and the world continued spinning with flirty banter. But a small part of Gabriel's brain sent waves of doubt and fear through him; the male's first thought was that Jack was just playing along until Talon was dealt with, and then the blonde would drop Gabriel like a hat. The second was that it was all a joke formed by the blonde and the others at Overwatch to see how far they could string the smoke monster along before he snapped or figured out the truth. The more thoughts that swirled through Gabriel's mind, his eyes drifted down toward his stomach, quickly pushing the thoughts to the back of his mind. No, what they had was real; this new bond and whatever they wanted to call this kink was theirs alone.

Ana arched an eyebrow, sipping the rest of her coffee. "Do you believe he would after everything you two have been through?" She questioned.

"No."

They settled into a cozy stillness after Ana nodded. After eating, Gabriel was brought around town by the sharpshooter. If the male was honest, he was too preoccupied with proposing to his best friend to listen to what the older woman had to say about a couple of the stores they passed. The two sneaked into a few shops, and while the sharpshooter threw a few shoe boxes at Gabriel, he was genuinely droning everything out. By the time they arrived at a ring store, Gabriel's nerves were shot, and his stomach was in a tight knot. Too many things ran through his head as he chewed the inside of his cheek until copper engulfed his mouth, causing the male to swallow thickly. The man's heart pounded in his chest, and he was genuinely prepared to drop everything and flee. Ana paused at the door, cocking her head to the side as she stared at the other male for a long moment. "Are you okay?" She quizzed.

Gabriel shook his head slightly and opened his mouth, closing it quickly when only air emerged. His hands were shaking at his sides. "No. Not at all. The Latino gave a raspy sound. The elder sharpshooter took a few steps nearer, breathing in and out gently, and then Ana's palm suddenly touched his cheek. As the elder woman eased up and put her arms around him, time seemed to slow down around them as the city around them became muffled. With a loud breath, Gabriel felt the tension in his shoulders instantly release. "It's okay to be scared; you don't need to hide it anymore." She muttered. For what seemed like hours, they remained in that position before Gabriel drew away and slipped into the ring shop, brushing by the sharpshooter. Ana sighed, glancing down at her wedding ring, smirking softly before quickly following behind the smoke monster.

***

When Gabriel walked through the door, he wasn't expecting to be engulfed by the smell of food. Gabriel slowly walked further into the apartment, jumping slightly when Jack poked his head out of the kitchen. Skinny arms wrapped around a large mixing bowl, lips pressed into a thin line, and brows furrowed angrily. Gabriel took a few steps forward, watching the smaller male dip back into the kitchen, sighing as he followed him. "I didn't expect you to be awake so early. I would have woken you up, but you needed sleep, Jack." The Latino started. When the smaller blonde didn't answer him, his attention on the counter in front of him, the older male's shoulder sagged slightly. Watching as Jack poured the batter into the pan, he wrapped his arms around his shoulders and kissed his cheek. "Please don't be mad; I have a good excuse, I promise." He whispered, whining softly.

Jack relaxed against Gabriel's chest, leaning his head back to look up at the chubby male. Smirking a bit as he pecked Gabriel's chin. "I'm not mad; I was worried. I know you said that you were with Ana. I was just scared." He admitted.

The older male hummed, burying his nose into the other male's bony shoulder. "I apologize for worrying you. What are you making?" Gabriel asked, gesturing his head toward the pan.

The blonde's head jerked his head toward the pan, eyes turning owlish as he yelped, quickly taking the pan off the burner, and frowned. "It was going to be pancakes, but you distracted me, so we get hockey pucks instead." Jack said.

Gabriel pouted slightly, "You can't blame me; I'm just an innocent chubby raven." He whined.

Jack barked out a laugh, tossing his head back, as he scraped the burnt food into the trash can next to him. He poured another large amount of batter into the sizzling pan before turning his attention toward the older male. "You haven't been innocent since the day you were born. Now stop distracting me, go into the living room and find something to watch while we eat." The blonde instructed.

Gabriel huffed softly, kissing the smaller male on the cheek, before padding into the living room. Flopping down onto the couch, he flipped through the channels until he found something to watch. The ring box felt heavy in his sweater pocket, and the small waves of doubt and fear started creeping back from the surfaces of his mind. The Latino quickly shook his head, tightening his grip around his thigh. No, we're doing this; everything will be fine. He'll say yes. Jack appeared beside him, gently nudging his knee with his own as he tilted his head to the side. "Are you okay?" The blonde quizzed.

The older male nodded his head, taking the plate from Jack. "Yeah, just tired." He replied softly.

The smaller man cuddled up next to Gabriel, his blue eyes already fixed on the TV show, and Jack appeared pleased with the response. The blonde claimed to be too full after eating half of his plate and scraping the remaining food onto the older man's plate, but Gabriel knew otherwise and kept eating. "You know if anything is bothering you, you can tell me, right?" Nervously, the blonde asked.

The chubbier male pulled Jack closer. "Of course, I promise it's nothing you have to worry about," Gabriel replied.

"Okay...I trust you..."

Notes:

Unfortunately, I fell behind on the schedule, so I'll be missing next week to try and catch up. My wife and I fell sick and haven't had the energy to write. Onto the good news! Pound Cake is now only five chapters away from being finished, I am super excited to finish our second project for the account. I honestly might add a few more chapters, but I am not sure. Please let me know.

Also, I don't know what is wrong with me, I am sorry.

Chapter Text

Jack stared at the towering building before him, his heart pounding against his ribs. A mix of emotions swirled in his chest, and his hands trembled at his sides. He hadn't been inside the Overwatch HQ alone since the fall, when his family was torn apart by Talon. Bile rose in his throat as he began to move forward. Before leaving the apartment, he shared one last hug with Gabriel, who was heading to meet Widowmaker and Sombra while Jack went to meet with Overwatch. As Jak walked into the large building, the brightly colored walls overwhelmed his eyes. He scanned the small offices he passed, and when he reached the threshold of the training room, he paused and placed a hand on the doorframe. Slowly, Jak stepped into the room. The tension in Jack's shoulders disappeared as memories crept into his mind. Most of them were of him and Gabriel training together late at night; those nights always resolved in them stumbling back to one of their bedrooms, hands tangled in each other's hair, kissing each other roughly. Swallowing thickly, the ex-commander flinched when a hand clamped down on his shoulder. Relaxing slightly when he recognized Ana, "Where's the troublemaker?" She asked, arching an eyebrow.

They walked out of the training room. "He went to meet with Sombra and Widowmaker to try and come up with a plan as well to make sure they're safe." The blonde answered as the older woman wrapped her arm around the male's shoulder. The pair walked back toward Ana's office, and Jack slumped into the chair in front of the desk. Leaning her elbows on the desk, the older woman slowly lowered herself into the chair. "I'm worried about him, though. I know he's planning something, Ana. I've been with him long enough to know his tells," he continued, holding out a hand.

The older sniper paused for a moment, his brown eyes studying the blonde for a couple of minutes. "He's probably just nervous; this is a big deal, Jack," Ana quickly replied, shifting the topic as she leaned back in her chair. She noticed the blonde lean forward once more, huffing softly as he played with an abandoned pencil, rolling it back and forth a few times. "You just need to talk to him after we finish this mission," Ana suggested.

The blonde man groaned and leaned back in his chair, running a hand through his hair. A pencil slipped off the desk and clattered to the floor. Jack draped his arm over his eyes and sighed, "I know I need to talk to him; maybe I'm overthinking things like normal. But I just have this gut feeling that something's wrong." Ana sighed, running a hand through her hair, chewing on the inside of her cheek. As the office fell into a comfortable silence. They talked for what felt like hours before Jack's phone buzzed in his pocket. The blonde quickly pulled his phone out, and his heart leaped to his throat. Talon found out about our plans, aborting everything. G. Ana stared at the male for a long moment, arching an eyebrow as Jack slowly passed over his phone. The sniper's mouth fell open as she quickly pushed out her chair, shoving piles of paperwork off her desk until she found her buried phone. Jack continued staring down at the device; tears swelled in the corner of his eyes as blood and bile engulfed his mouth. Everything was screaming at the blonde to call Gabriel, but the small voice in the back of his head stopped him.

There was no telling what situation the ex-Talon agents found themselves in. Knowing Gabriel, he was either injured or trying to protect the girls from danger. A million thoughts and questions filled the blonde's head while his hand tightened around the small device. What if Talon has them? Are they going to try and kill Widowmaker or Sombra? What if they try and revert Gabriel? A surge of fear rushed through Jack's spine as he pictured the billowing smoke rising from the male. The blonde found himself scrolling through his contacts, fingers hovering over the older male's number, and tears started sliding down his cheeks. There were too many times they fought each other after the fall, and every time Jack stared in those soulless red eyes, his heart died each time. The ex-commander hated himself for not recognizing the older male sooner and letting Gabriel be tortured and used by Talon for so long. But that was going to change; even if it killed him, Jack would bring Talon down for destroying his family.

Ana set a hand on top of Jack's, causing him to flinch and snap his head in her direction. "I already have a small team heading toward his location, don't worry," she whispered.

The ex-commander shook his head and pushed himself to his feet. His head shook violently as tears continued to stain his pale cheeks. "I have to be there; Gabriel will panic if I am not!" he demanded.

Jack turned on his heels and walked toward the doorway, ignoring the hurried footsteps behind him. He snarled as Ana placed a hand on his shoulder, gently pulling him back. "You can't just rush into this, Jack. We don't know the situation. Gabriel would never forgive me if I let you jump into danger," she said, placing her hands on his shoulders and gently shaking him.

The ex-commander growled loudly, causing a few agents in the hallway to freeze, their wide eyes turning toward the pair. Swatting the older woman's hands off his shoulders while narrowing his eyes at her. "So what!? I'm just supposed to let him risk his life? This is my fault, Ana. He wanted nothing to do with this." Jack screamed.

"Of course not, that's why I sent Cole, Angela, and Genji."

Jack's body trembled as he collapsed onto the floor, face buried in his hands as he cried. Ana glared at the other agents, who jumped slightly and quickly rushed further down the hallway. The older sniper exhaled, rolling her eyes as Ana turned her attention toward Jak, setting a hand on the blonde's shoulder. Gently squeezing for reassurance. "I'm sorry... I just can't help but feel like this is my fault. Gabriel wanted to run away, and I forced him to do this, Ana." He sobbed.

The older woman smiled, "Gabriel doesn't blame you for anything that has happened; he's doing this because Gabriel knows it's the right thing to do." She replied, wiping the fat tears from the blonde's face with her thumb.

The blonde fell against the woman's chest, wrapping his slender arms around her. "I can't lose him, Ana; I just got him back." Jack sobbed harder.

"You won't. I promise."

***

Gabriel held his side fiercely, gnashing his teeth as red slipped between his fingers, leaving little pools on the concert floor. Sombra hung off to his right, while Widowmaker scouted for additional Talon agents. The smoke monster should have seen that the idiotic facility was a trap. Talon always was one step ahead; no matter what plan anyone came up with, Talon always had sleeper agents watching and listening. Gabriel whined lowly as Sombra lowered him against the wall, rolling up his black T-shirt, and winced at the long gash across his side. "Fucking damn it, Gabe, you could have fucking died!" She growled, hands trembling around the wet fabric. The hacker turned her attention toward the sniper, biting down on her lower lip as they studied each other for a long moment. "We need to stop the bleeding and call for back-up. There are too many for all three of us to take on." Sombra said, turning her attention back toward the older male. Gabriel hissed, body flinching away from the hacker as she pressed a hand down onto the wound. Quickly tearing some cloth she'd found and wrapping it around the gash, watching as the fabric was swiftly stained with red.

Widowmaker appeared next to the hacker and exchanged a gaze with the smoke monster. "We need to keep moving before they find our location again." She whispered. The sniper swiftly exchanged places with the other woman as Sombra rushed forward. Widowmaker placed her hand on the wound. "How do you feel? Light-headed?" She queried before beginning to walk a few minutes later. Gabriel opened his mouth. If he was honest, his stomach was in knots, and bile and blood coated his tongue, intensifying the nausea. The room spun violently as Gabriel's head swam, and his vision began to dim around the edges. Swallowing heavily, the male shook his head slowly, and the sniper exhaled quietly. "Please let me know if you begin to feel lightheaded or if the pain becomes too severe. The wound is deep enough for infection." She gave instructions, but Gabriel did not listen. The guy was attempting to blink away the enormous black dots that danced across his vision while resisting the impulse to vomit all over the woman.

The Latino lost track of how far they had traveled until Widowmaker gently leaned him against the wall. Shaking his head violently to keep himself awake, while the woman inhaled sharply as she removed the cloth from Gabriel's side, wincing. Almost choking, her clouded sight fixed on the muscle that pulsed slowly, causing more blood to stream from the cut-up skin. Fortunately, the incision was not deep enough to disclose bone, but Widowmaker knew Gabriel was just one incorrect move away from tearing the wound further. "We're almost there, Gabe, hold on," Widowmaker whispered, gently shaking the other male's shoulder. When the smoke monster didn't respond, the sniper gripped Gabriel's shoulder tightly, growling loudly as she gently patted the Latino's cheek. "Gabe, come on, wake up. Don't you dare die on us now." She demanded tapping the male's cheek harder.

"S...orry..."

Widowmaker turned her attention behind her, cursing under her breath when the sniper noticed that the pair was alone. The woman chewed the inside of her cheek, glancing around the abandoned warehouse where they stumbled in. Widowmaker's eyes shifted back to Gabriel, watching as his skin started growing paler. "Don't apologize yet, come on, we're almost to the extraction point. Jack is waiting for you." She replied, wrapping an arm around her shoulder, and started sauntering toward the back door. A million thoughts and questions whirled through the sniper's head as she gently pushed the metal door open with her shoulder.

Jumping slightly when the hacker appeared next to the pair, quickly taking Gabriel's other arm around her shoulder as well. "I saw an Overwatch ship a couple of clicks away. The problem is that there are a ton of Talon agents guarding the gates." She explained. The smaller woman turned her attention toward the ex-talon agent, lips pressed into a thin line, as her brown eyes quickly shifted toward her girlfriends. "How is he?" She questioned. Widowmaker's mouth twisted into a frown, gently shaking her head. They both fell into an uncomfortable silence as Widowmaker wrapped her free arm around the other male's torso to keep him from sliding out of their grip. The sniper carefully maneuvered Gabriel toward Sombra, inhaling and exhaling quietly, peering over the corner, and inwardly cursing. There had to be at least three groups of Talon agents around the gate and the courtyard. Widowmaker closed her eyes and pulled herself to her feet, shifting her gaze to the other two. "Sombra, get Gabriel onto the ship; he needs medical attention and can't help us with a fight." She commanded, drawing her rifle from her back.

The smaller woman set the older male against the wall, ignoring the low hiss from the limp form. "Wait! What are you doing!?" The hacker shouted, forming two small fists, while narrowing her eyes at the other woman.

The sharpshooter leaned down, pecking the hacker on the cheek and gently squeezing Sombr's shoulder. "I'm going to draw their attention and give you enough time to get Reaps home," Widowmaker said.

The smaller female shook her head and pounded her fists on the other's chest. Tears stung the corners of her eyes, and her lower lip quivered furiously. "No way! You and I both know that if he were aware, Reaps would agree with me." Sombra protested, flinging a hand at the unconscious older man.

The taller female sighed and rested a palm on top of Sombra's fists, blinking back tears that stung her own eyes. Her face lit up with a warm smile. "But he isn't! Gabriel has been seriously wounded, Sombra. Since he stopped me from being attacked with whatever weapons they had prepared for us. It's interfering with his healing, and if we don't get Gabriel aboard that ship, you and I both know he'll die." Widowmaker replied while rubbing the smaller hacker's cheeks.

Sombra swatted Widowmaker's hand off her shoulder, bowing her head and letting her bangs cover her eyes. Hot, fat tears streamed down her face as the smaller woman's shoulders shook. "I'm not leaving you..." She sobbed.

The sharpshooter sniffled, chuckling lowly as she leaned her forehead onto Sombra's. Tangling her slender purple fingers through the hacker's hair one last time. "Olivia, you and I both know I wasn't supposed to get this far." She sighed, biting down on her lower lip. Inhaling the smaller woman's scent once more before slowly spinning on her high heels and starting to walk toward the door.

Olivia's head snapped up, her heart launched to her throat as her mouth fell open. The world around the trio seemed to freeze as Sombra lunged forward, catching the sniper's fingers with her own. "H-H- How am I supposed to be okay with this? Reaps...we love you." She questioned.

Widowmaker didn't turn around, her shoulders coiled tightly as the sharpshooter tightened her grip around the rifle. "I love you guys, too, but we're out of options." She answered, choking back a sob.

"Why can't I just give them the coordinates to find Reaps and help you?"

The taller sniper turned quickly, eyes narrowed down at the smaller female, lip curled into a snarl. "Because he can't protect himself, Olivia." She shouted, watching as Olivia flinched. "I'm sorry, Mon amour, but this is goodbye." The sharpshooter whispered, kissing the smaller female one final time before rushing out of the warehouse.

Sombra turned her attention toward Gabriel, hands diving into her hoodie pocket. Inserting the coordinates before setting the small device into the male's hand. More tears spilled down her face as she buried her nose in the older male's shoulder. "Sorry, Reaps...I can't leave her.... I'm sorry we won't be there at your wedding." She sighed before pushing herself away from the wall and following behind the sharpshooter.

Chapter 21: ⇠Life Goes On⇢

Summary:

While Gabriel recovers, Jack and Ana make up a plan to infiltrate Talon's base.

Notes:

Unfortunately, still under the curse of A03, but I have finally beaten my stomach bug, as well as I tape/superglue my glasses together so they're fixed. They're still giving me migraines if I have them on too long, but hopefully this means chapters will be sorta back to normal. Reminder that I will not be uploading any new chapters of my next two projects until all of my CURRENT projects are finished.

There are only four chapters left of Pound Cake! And I am super excited to get to my new projects soon!

Chapter Text

Jack looked at the tiled floor below him. Everything around felt as if it were spinning. His mouth felt stuffed with cotton, and the fluorescent lights stung his reddened eyes. The hallway's silence propelled his overwhelmed mind, with a surge of different emotions coursing through his chest. The blonde still flinched as the images of Gabriel, battered and nearly alive, being hauled down the hallway, while Cole's lip was bloodied from the cowboy biting down so hard, his prosthetic arm squeaked as he formed a tight fist, nearly missing Jack's head as he punched the wall behind him. The ex-strike commander's hands shook violently on his lap as tears stung the corner of his eyes. Bowing his head, Jack stared at the blurred flooring, letting out a choked sob. "It's my fault; if I just listened to him and didn't stick my nose where it didn't belong, Gabriel wouldn't be hurt...maybe even dying." Jack thought helplessly. A trembling hand slowly traveled toward his bright blonde hair, slender fingers tangling themselves in his locks as he tugged gently. Fat tears slid down his pale cheeks as his shoulders shook. How can you let this happen to him...again? A harsh voice in the back of Jack's head scolded.

Jack bit down on his tongue until copper gushed into his mouth, tugging slightly harder, and the blonde winced as a small spark of pain coursed through his head, silencing the raging voice in the back of his head. Exhaling softly, Jack shook his head, pushing the creeping thoughts to the back of his head, swallowing the mixture of bile and blood in his mouth, and ignoring the way his stomach tightened. "Gabe will be fine; he has Angela working on him." The ex-strike commander muttered, leaning back against the wall. Exhaustion quickly swept through Jack's body as his head slowly lolled to the side, eyes slipping closed. Jack wasn't sure when he fell asleep, but the blonde jolted awake when a hand clamped down on his shoulder, gently shaking him awake. The ex-strike commander blinked at the dots dancing across his vision, staring at Angela standing in front of him for a couple of minutes. Groggily pushing himself up from the cushioned bench, "H-H-How is he?" Jack asked shakily.

The blonde medic looked down at the floor, her eyes clouded with fatigue as she exhaled softly. She then gazed back at Jack, offering a gentle smile. "The surgery was a success; he's resting now, but you can see him soon," she informed him. Jack's legs trembled as the heavy pressure on his shoulders suddenly seemed to disappear, hot tears streaking down his face as the corners of his lips quivered. The ex-strike commander slumped back onto the bench, tangling his fingers in his golden locks. Angela's smile didn't falter as the medic placed a hand on his shoulder, bending down to Jack's level. "You should get some rest too; you're no good to him like this," she whispered.

Jack swallowed hard and shook his head. "No, I need to be there when he wakes up. He always panics whenever he finds himself in unfamiliar places, especially since Talon. I also have to help Ana come up with a plan to infiltrate Talon's base in Switzerland," he replied with a weary sigh.

Angela made a sound in the back of her throat as she pushed herself to her feet, placing her hands on her hips. "You can't do all of that if you end up collapsing," she scolded, noticing Jack flinch slightly. The blonde medic sighed softly before continuing, "Listen, I know you want to get back at Talon for what they did. But Gabriel is going to need you more than ever, especially since the girls are—well, anyway, he needs you, Jack. Please get some sleep."

The former strike commander fought the urge to throw up as he learned that Sombra and Widowmaker had not made it back to the base with Gabriel. The blonde had feared the worst, and of course, his luck had turned out to be correct; both women had been gunned down while protecting their friend. Gabriel was unconscious when Cole and the others found him, and it would likely fall to Jack to inform him of what had happened to them. The memory of the ex-Talon agent's crimson red eyes burning into his blue ones caused the smaller male to shiver as he gently dug his fingernail into the meat of his palm. Shaking the memory quickly from his brain, Jack clamped down onto his bottom lip. The blonde knew how Gabriel would react. He'd shout and lash out at anyone closest and isolate himself until someone found the courage to try and snap the shadow monster out of his stupor. Once again, that job would fall onto Jack, due to the blonde being the only person who knows how to calm Gabriel down most of the time.

Typically, the ex-strike commander would prepare the smoke monster's favorite meal to lure him out of the room like a hungry stray cat. Afterward, they would cuddle while Gabriel vented. However, that approach wouldn't work this time; they were miles away from home, at the very place where their relationship first began to falter. One of Gabriel's greatest fears came true: he lost people he loved. Jack realized that Angela was right; the male would need as much energy as possible before attempting to comfort Gabriel and persuade the shadow monster to continue with their mission. There are two possible outcomes following the deaths of Sombra and Widowmaker. The first is that Gabriel will be so angered that he will seek revenge, potentially causing larger problems for Overwatch and Jack. The second outcome is that Gabriel may distance himself from the mission entirely and run away. Selfishly, Jack hopes for option one, and it would make everything easier; with Talon gone, the new generation of Overwatch would flourish. But then again, that was always their problem, right? Jack thought of Overwatch more than their relationship, leading to Gabriel getting sick from the injections and seeking Moira's help in a desperate need to survive.

He couldn't ask Gabriel to do that, no matter how selfish Jack wanted to be. "Y-Yeah, you're right..." The blonde replied, watching Angela's shoulders relax slightly.

"Good, I'll let you know when Gabe wakes up."

***

Jack tapped his foot in impatience, chewing on his cheek as his bright blue eyes scanned Ana's office. Gabriel still hadn't woken up, even though the blonde had lain down for a nap hours ago. Part of Jack, the ex-strike commander, suspected that Angela might have slipped extra sedatives into Gabriel's IV to buy herself more time to think of a way to calm him down. While part of him wanted to dismiss that thought, a nagging suspicion remained about the medic. The sound of the sliding door pulled him from his musings, and the older sniper raised an eyebrow at the ex-strike commander before sighing and heading to her desk to sit down. "Aren't you supposed to be sleeping?" she asked, placing a small stack of papers on her desk.

Jack leaned back in his chair, arms behind his head, with one leg draped over the other. "I slept for a couple of hours," he replied. When Ana gave him an unimpressed look, the blonde sighed. "I couldn't sleep; my brain is too wired. Please, Ana, let me help," he added.

Ana took a slow breath and released it. "You should speak with Gabriel first, Jack; we don't even know what he wants to do," she said gently. The older woman looked at the other man for a moment. "Whatever decision Gabriel makes, Jack, it's crucial you support him. I understand you're eager to take Talon down, but that may not be his priority," she continued, extending her hand.

Jack clenched his small fists in his lap, grinding his teeth. "Shouldn't it be important to take them out so the world can be at peace?" he questioned, his gaze fixed on his lap. A mix of frustration and anger bubbled in the blonde's chest as he dug his nails into his pant legs. Ana took a deep breath, then exhaled softly. She pushed herself up from the chair and walked around her desk, placing a hand on Jack's shoulder. "It's not just about Overwatch; part of it is, but I want to avenge Sombra and Widowmaker. They deserve to be remembered, and Talon needs to know we won’t take this issue lying down," Jack continued.

The older sniper hummed softly as she gently rubbed Jack's shoulder. "I understand how you feel, Jack. I feel the same way. But just think about how Gabriel would react if he lost you to a pointless war." She paused, offering a sigh. "Before we can take any action, we need Gabriel on our side."

The tension in the blonde's shoulders slowly released as he stared at the ceiling for a few moments. Exhaling sharply, he nodded his head. "I hate when you're right," he muttered, running a hand through his hair.

Ana gently punched the male's shoulder. "If you listened to me more, then you two wouldn't be getting into so much trouble." She answered, grinning widely.

Jack tossed his head back and barked out a laugh. "You and I both know we’d find a way to get into trouble," he replied. They remained quiet for a long moment before the blonde pushed himself out of his chair and headed toward the door, stuffing his hands into his pockets as he exited the office and walked down the long, darkened hallway. When the ex-strike commander reached the infirmary, he tipped his head toward Angela before settling into a plastic chair next to Gabriel's bed. Jack stared at the sleeping figure before him, his blue eyes flickering towards the steady rhythm of the heart monitor next to him. It felt like a month had passed, but in reality, only a few hours had gone by.

The surge of emotions washing over Jack left him feeling utterly exhausted. The blonde leaned back against his chair, letting out a small sigh, staring at the ceiling for a couple of minutes as his already jumbled mind ran. A soft groan made Jack snap his head toward the bed, watching as Gabriel groggily blinked a few times before his brown eyes slowly scanned the room. "H-Hey, you're okay. Cole and Genji brought you to Overwatch." Jack cooed, quickly taking the older male's hand and gently running his thumb over Gabriel's knuckles.

Gabriel swallowed hard, letting out a raspy hum. "What happened?" he asked. The blonde bit down on his lower lip and flinched noticeably. Gabriel slowly turned to the smaller male, narrowing his eyes as he noticed Jack quickly looking down at his lap. "What happened, Jack?" Gabriel repeated with a stern tone.

Jack's shoulders shook violently, and tears welled in the corners of his eyes as panic surged in his chest. "You texted me that Talon found you and the girls, but then communication went dead between us. Ana sent Cole and Genji to help you and the girls... but when they arrived..." His voice faltered as fat tears streamed down his cheeks. The blonde let out a choked sob, quickly wiping the tears away with the back of his hand. "They were too late... You were found inside one of the abandoned warehouses with a beacon." He continued.

The blonde observed the older man for several minutes. Gabriel's shoulders tightened as he gripped the bedsheets, bowing his head to let his bangs cover his eyes. "W-Where are they?" he asked through clenched teeth.

Jack watched as thick black smoke rolled off the older man's shoulders. A surge of fear coursed through him as he swallowed hard, gently reaching out for the smoke monster's hand once more. "Gabe, you need to rest. You were hurt pretty badly, baby," he replied, his voice shaking.

"Where are they!?"

Jack remained silent for a few minutes. "They distracted the Talon agents surrounding the building to help you escape. By the time Cole and Genji found you, they didn't make it," the blonde whispered.

A long minute passed, and the tension in the room seemed to grow as more smoke poured from Gabriel's shoulders. "Out..." he demanded calmly.

Jack's body moved before his mind had a chance to catch up. The blonde quickly pushed himself out of the chair and rushed out of the room, slamming the door behind him as tears blurred his blue eyes. He slowly slid down the door, letting out another choked sob, his body trembling violently as he rested his head against his knees. Heavy breathing filled the small hallway, and Jack's head began to swim. His heart pounded heavily against his ribs, and black dots started dancing across his vision. He attempted to move, but his body felt rooted to the floor. Suddenly, Jack felt a weightlessness, and he found himself falling sideways as an explosion of voices echoed around him, making him flinch. Before he could comprehend what was happening, a pair of hands wrapped around his body, and everything went black.

Chapter 22: ⇠Grieving Process⇢

Summary:

Jack helps Gabriel process his loss.

Notes:

THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS SMUT. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, THEN PLEASE SKIP THIS CHAPTER!

Happy Father's Day! Have some smut with my two favorite boys!

Alright, we are nearing the end of this series. I had to add a couple of chapters just for Gabriel to grieve Widowmaker and Sombra; it didn't feel right to skip past it. So the next two chapters will be filler/porn/emotional talking. I meant to update my A03 curse in previous uploads, but was pressed for time. So here we go, I've beaten my stomach flu last month. I have also taped my glasses together to the point that they'll last until I can pay for a new pair. {Fingerscrossed} I'm still dealing with migraines, so whenever I'm not too sleepy from pain meds, I am doing my best to at least outline chapters for everyone.

Finally, I have also finished a few new one-shot ships as well as other fandoms, so they'll be appearing on the account whenever I can have enough energy to edit them. {If Grammarly isn't stupid... It's time to upgrade -.- } and post them.

Chapter Text

Jack attempted to overlook the ongoing tension with Gabriel, believing it might ease after Angela finally permitted them to return home for some rest. Ana assured Jack that they would discuss a plan as soon as Gabriel was prepared. The strike commander had no doubts that they would finally give Talon what he deserved sooner or later, but that didn't stop the anxiety washing through his chest. Exhaling softly, the blonde entered the kitchen, gazing at the burger meat defrosting on the counter. After grabbing a drink from the fridge, Jack took a long sip before approaching the counter, pulling out a couple of pans to prepare lunch. As the blonde shaped the meat into small balls, Jack's thoughts drifted back to the tension when the ex-strike commander reentered Gabriel's room. The cramped hospital room was heavy with smoke, stifling the little air in Jack's lungs. The older man's once-vibrant brown eyes appeared glazed with conflicting emotions. They hadn't spoken since that moment, and if Jack were to be honest, his heart ached more with each passing moment of silence between them.

Jack carefully placed the meat in the pan, and soon the apartment was filled with a delicious aroma. After cooking the meat, he swiftly plated the burgers, sautéed the onions, and quickly put a tray of fries in the oven. The blonde finished his drink, leaning against the counter as tears welled up in his eyes. Jack squeezed his eyes shut, gripping the counter tightly, and let out a choked sob. Turning on his heels, the ex-strike commander searched through the cabinets until he found the whiskey hidden behind some plates. He had confiscated the alcohol from the older man, fearing that Gabriel might drink himself to death or fall into a deep depression that Jack wouldn't be able to help him escape from. Just when Jack was about to pour himself a shot, a pair of arms wrapped around his shoulders, pulling the blonde backward until his back slammed against the other's chest. The ex-commander slowly tilted his head backward, blue eyes traveling up and meeting Gabriel's dark brown ones. They both said nothing for a long moment before the older male buried his face into the crook of Jack's neck. Swallowing thickly, the blonde wordlessly smiled softly, placing a hand on the other male's plush arm.

Jack buried his nose into Gabriel's arm, inhaling the smoke monster's scent, letting the tension slowly disappear from his shoulders. The blonde closed his eyes for a few minutes, listening to the sizzling of the onions before reopening his eyes. Tilting his head up, smiling softly. "I'm making burgers for lunch. Are you hungry?" He asked softly. The former Talon agent made a noise in the back of his throat and slowly released Jack from his grip before padding toward the fridge. Jack fought the urge to watch him, turning his attention to the onions instead. He pushed any creeping thoughts to the back of his mind as he grabbed plates from the cabinet beside him. Gabriel quietly assisted Jack in finishing their lunch. Soon after, they both entered the living room, and Jack had to restrain himself from whining when the older male sat in the chair next to the couch. Jack flipped through the channels slowly, blue eyes barely registering what was on as the older male ate across from him. The blonde chewed on the inside of his cheek, glancing down at his plate before setting it onto the coffee table in front of him.

Gabriel paused, looking over at Jack and staring at him for a couple of minutes before swallowing the food in his mouth. Time seemed to move slowly as the older man set his food back down on the plate and inhaled softly. "You aren't eating?" He asked. Time seemed to stop as the blonde slowly looked up at the older male, who simply had his eyebrow arched, staring at the younger male. The ex-strike commander opened his mouth, but only air came out as his heart thudded heavily against his chest. A small wave of giddiness blossomed in the blonde's chest as he turned his attention back down toward his lap. This was the first time in weeks they'd spoken to each other; half of Jack wanted to chalk it down to Gabriel finally reaching out and hopefully talking about the darkness that seemed to take over the older male. But the other half knew the ex-Talon agent too well to know that wouldn't happen. Gabriel would let whatever the tension was between them stew until one of them broke first. Jack shook the thoughts to the back of his head, biting down on his lower lip until the taste of copper overwhelmed his tongue.

When Jack didn't respond, Gabriel pushed himself up from his chair and moved next to him. He wrapped an arm around Jack's shoulders and pulled him into his side. The living room remained silent for a long moment before Gabriel lowered his head against Jack's. "I don't know how to talk about it... Half of me still thinks that it didn't happen." He finally said.

Jack swallowed thickly before shifting slightly and wrapping his arms around the other male. “Isolating yourself won’t help us. We are a team, Gabe. I will always stand by you and support your choices. But you can't push away everyone who is trying to help you. Especially me." He replied.

"Sorry...I don't mean to..." Whatever was left of Jack's heart shattered, and a heaviness grew in his stomach as a choked, muffled sob escaped Gabriel's mouth. A million thoughts rushed through the blonde's mind as he gently cooed and rubbed the ex-talon's back. Jack comforted Gabriel for what felt like hours before the older man curled around Jack tightly. "Sometimes I still think they're going to come around the corner and that it was all a dream," he continued.

The blonde knew he was gambling; there was no telling how this conversation was going to end. The younger male's blue eyes flicked toward the coffee table, silently praying to himself as he gently pushed Gabriel back slightly. "I know it hurts now, but Widowmaker and Sombra wouldn't want you to wallow. They'd let you grovel around for a few days before telling you to pick yourself back up and try again." He stated confidently. "I'm not asking you to help bring Talon down. If you want to run away, we can. I'd follow you anywhere, Gabe." He added quickly. Jack could see the wheels turning in the older male's head, biting down softly on his bottom lip as he faintly nodded his head. Jack tangled his thin fingers through Gabriel's hair, gently rubbing his cheek against the side of the male's head. "Everything will be okay, Gabe, I promise." He whispered.

***

Gabriel's back slammed against the bed as Jack feverishly kissed him. Jack's large arms wrapped around the smaller male while the blonde's lips traveled from the ex-talon's mouth to his neck. The larger male carefully removed the ex-strike commander's shirt, discarding it to the side before taking off his own. Jack's blue eyes drifted down to the prominent zigzag scar encircling the other male's side. He traced a finger along it before slowly bending down to press his lips against the cool skin. "Does it still hurt?" Jack quizzed, slowly pushing himself upright.

Gabriel's brown eyes glanced at the scar before returning to Jack. He hummed softly while gently stroking the blonde's cheek. "Not as much as before; it only hurts if I move a certain way," he replied softly.

The blonde smirked, placing his hands on the older male's hips and gently squeezing. "Then how about I help you forget the pain, just for a little while?" Jack replied, leaning forward slightly, biting down on Gabriel's lower lip, and pulling softly. Gabriel groaned lowly, tilting his head back against the pillows, causing the blonde to chuckle lowly. "Shhh, don't worry, I'll make you feel good, baby," Jack whispered, entangling his fingers in Gabriel's hair. They both stripped their remaining clothing, letting it form a small pile beside the bed. The ex-strike commander leaned to the side, rummaging through the nightstand next to them for a few minutes before pulling out lube. Jack gently used his knees to maneuver Gabriel's legs slightly further apart, slathering the jelly onto his fingers, and then finally slowly inserted two fingers into Gabriel.

Gabriel let out a choked gasp, arching his back slightly while Jack slowly pumped his fingers. Squeezing his eyes shut as he dug his fingers into the sheets, the bedroom was filled with Gabriel's soft whines and short moans shortly afterward. Minutes passed, and the grin on Jack's face seemed to grow as he softly probed the older male's wet hole with a third finger, earning a low keen from the ex-talon agent. Jack inserted another finger and started pumping faster. Digging his heels into the bed, Gabriel arched his back, letting out a breathy moan, hips bucking slightly. "P-P-Please, Jackie." He sobbed.

The ex-strike commander chuckled lowly, slowly pulling his fingers out with a wet plop. Gently pressing his soaked fingers into the older male's mouth, "Suck," he demanded, watching Gabriel's hazy eyes flick down toward the blonde's fingers before back up at the younger male before sucking Jack's fingers. "Such a good boy," the smaller male praised, bending down slightly and gliding his tongue down the side of Gabriel's member. The older male yelped, his body jolting as a loud moan escaped Gabriel's mouth. Jack watched the larger male writhe before wrapping his tongue around the tip of Gabriel's cock, sucking harshly. The ex-Talon member slammed his head back against the pillow, cheeks dusted pink as his moans melted into loud mewling. Large beads of cum coated the blonde's tongue as he slowly pushed himself back upright. Gabriel whined loudly from the sudden feeling of being empty, the small tears forming in the corners of his eyes spilled down his cheeks. "You look so hot when you cry, Gabe." Don't worry, Daddy will give you what you want." He breathed, thrusting into the other male.

Gabriel squeezed his eyes shut as he moaned loudly, while Jack continued thrusting into him. Nails dug into the older male's plump hips, and the ex-Talon agent could already feel the bruises forming, but at the moment he didn't care. Pain and pleasure clouded any logic inside his brain; Gabriel's breath was lodged in his throat as his moans morphed into low, wheezing rasps. Until large strings of white painted his chest, and Jack released inside of him a few minutes afterward. The bedroom was filled with their heavy breathing; the blonde peeled himself from the older male, gasping for breath. Minutes seemed to pass them by before Gabriel turned his head to face the younger male. "I-I-I've thought about what you said..." He panted.

Jack's eyes grew owlish as he propped himself up with the palm of his hands. Head snapping towards Gabriel. "Gabe, we don't need to get ourselves involved. Like I said earlier, we can pack up and leave if that's what you really want to do." He replied.

The ex-Talon agent swallowed thickly, chewing on his bottom lip for a couple of minutes. "I know, and believe me, that's all I want to do. Even if we run, Talon won't stop until either I'm dead or back under their control. I don't want to put you at risk too... As much as I want to run away, you're right. They need to be taken out." He explained eyes slipping closed.

Jack grew silent, and the pair stared at each other for a long moment before the blonde faintly nodded his head. Settling back down into the bed. "Okay, I'll call Ana tomorrow, and we can come up with a plan." He said. Jack scooted closer, curling up next to Gabriel's side. Draping an arm over his stomach, "I know you're scared, but I promise I won't leave your side." The blonde whispered, kissing Gabriel's cheek before falling asleep.

Notes:

THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS A SMALL STUFFING SCENE! IF YOU DO NOT LIKE IT, THEN SKIP IT!

I'm super excited, I know it's early, but my wife surprised me with a trip to Seattle for Emerald City Comic Con for my 29th birthday in March! I've never been to Seattle, so if anyone has cool places to check out, please let me know! As well as whether it's worth going to the zoo, I've heard mixed things about it, but I am super curious to see how different it is from our local zoo at home. I have only been to the Rose City Comic Con, so this will be my first time attending a four-day Con. I am super excited about my lineup, and even convinced my wife to cosplay as well. A little nervous since this is my first time cosplaying, but still excited.

Anyway! I am super excited to get closer to finishing this series, but don't worry, I do have a TON of other Reaper76 content waiting in the back line to be uploaded. I am still taking requests, so if you have any ideas, please don't be afraid to ask! I love hearing about everyone's ideas, my only rule is please make sure it's a fandom I know.

Chapter Text

Jack's vision blurred as he slowly opened his eyes, staring at the white popcorn ceiling for a few seconds. Before his blue eyes shifted toward the limp next to him, a soft smirk formed on his lips as he gently propped himself up and kissed Gabriel on the cheek, earning a groggy groan from the other male. Jack slowly slipped out of bed and padded toward the bathroom, flicking the water on and starting to peel off his sweat-covered clothes. The blonde waited a couple of minutes before stepping into the shower, letting the hot water run against his pale back. Minutes passed before Jack started washing his hair, his brain too hazy with different thoughts and sleep. Tomorrow, everything will start coming to an end. Talon would be taken down finally, and Overwatch and the world can finally rest at peace....Gabriel, Widowmaker, and Sombra can finally be at peace.

Jack inhaled and then exhaled slowly, letting his eyes slip closed while he leaned against the tiled wall. Anxiety and fear swirled in the blonde's lower belly as Jack bit down on his lower lip. What if nothing goes to plan? A small voice in the back of Jack's head whispered. The blonde growled softly, bringing his sudsy hands up to either side of his head. Sliding down the wall and burying his face into his knees. What if Gabriel dies? What are you going to do then? Tears pricked the corners of Jack's eyes as a choked sob escaped his mouth. The blonde's hands trembled slightly as his thin fingers tangled around his hair. Fat tears slid down Jack's pale cheeks while the male bit down on his tongue gently to try and muffle the noise. It felt like hours before Jack's body moved. The blonde numbly turned the water off, quickly drying himself off before getting dressed. Jack shuffled back into the bedroom, staring at the older male for a few seconds before padding into the kitchen to start breakfast. The smell of food must have woken Gabriel out of bed, startling the younger male as the ex-Talom agent wrapped his thick arms around Jack. Gabriel must have noticed and arched an eyebrow. "Are you okay? You flinched." The older male questioned.

Jack chewed on the inside of his cheek, ducking his head slightly as he wiggled out of Gabriel's arms. Quickly walking toward the fridge, "Yeah, you just startled me, is all." The blonde lied while grabbing four eggs from the carton.

The older male watched him for a few seconds silently. Lips pressed into a thin line while the blonde cracked the eggs into a bowl. "You know that I can tell when you're lying to me, right? I've been with you long enough to know the difference now." Gabriel replied. Jack mentally winced, biting down on the inside of his cheek harder. Blood coated his tongue as he formed a fist at his side, while Gabriel drew closer. "Talk to me, what's going on?" He insisted.

"Wh-what if..."

Gabriel waited a few minutes, watching as the gears slowly shifted in his head. "What if, what, Jack?" He questioned.

The blonde sighed loudly, running a hand through his messy hair. "What if something happens to you? And I'm all alone in the end?" He shouted.

The ex-Talon agent stood frozen, brown eyes slowly widening. "Nothing is going to happen to me; Ana will make sure I have backup." The older male reassured, gently placing his hands on Jack's shoulders, squeezing softly.

"That's not the point!" A frustrated growl emitted from the back of the blonde's throat as he swiped his arm to the side. Knocking the bowl of eggs onto the floor, the bowl shattered against the tiled ground, and Gabriel quickly picked the male up by the waist and then placed him onto the counter.

Time appeared to stand still as they both gazed at the yellow puddle on the ground. After a few moments, the smoke monster sighed and ran a hand across his face. "Then what is the point, Jackie?" Gabriel asked quietly. The tension in the room was palpable as Gabriel silently watched the smaller male. He observed the blonde's face flicker through various emotions, swallowing hard before exhaling softly. "I understand you're frightened, but remember our purpose. After this, we can leave Overwatch behind, finally live our lives, visit your family, or even buy that farm with chickens you always talk about," he said.

Jack snorted dismissively, his eyes narrowing slightly in mockery. "You'd never survive on a farm," he teased with a gentle smirk. When the older man remained silent, the blonde crossed his arms, let out a quiet sigh, and looked down at the floor. "It's not enough... I can't stop worrying." He whispered, fingernails gently digging into his arm.

Gabriel carefully stepped over the large egg pool, his hand gliding down the other male's arm. After a deep exhale, he pressed his forehead against Jack's and said, "We can back out now... Ana would understand..."

The temptation was building inside Jack's chest; part of him wanted to tell Gabriel that he had changed his mind and that they should flee back to Indiana together. The former strike commander knew his parents would let them stay for a few days while they figured out what to do next. Gabriel was right; Ana would understand and devise a new plan. That was one of the reasons why Jack made her in charge before he left. Even after everything, Jack couldn't forgive himself. He shook his head faintly and wrapped his thin arms around the other male, inhaling the scent of the smoke monster. Closing his eyes, he dug his nails into Gabriel's back as his heart thudded heavily against his ribs. "N-No..." he wheezed.

Gabriel nodded, running his fingers through the smaller male's hair before kissing the crown of his head. He glanced at the tiled floor and said, "Since breakfast was ruined, do you want to order takeout and watch those terrible Western movies you love?"

Jack made a noise in the back of his throat, glaring at the older male, which earned a smirk from Gabriel. "They aren't terrible; Cole says they're classics," he argued.

The older male let out a laugh. "I'd much rather watch Sombra and Widowmaker's dating shows."

The blonde narrowed his eyes and pushed himself away from the other man, placing his hands on either side of his hips. "Westerns have the best romance plots, just so you know," he said, quickly grabbing Gabriel's hand and dragging him into the living room. He scooped up the remote and his phone from the coffee table to order food and a movie. Once everything was set up, the blonde curled into Gabriel's side, draping an arm over the curve of his stomach before resting his head on the smoke monster's shoulder. Gabriel leaned his head back against the couch, wrapping an arm around the smaller male's waist while sleep-hazed eyes stared at the screen, where bright colors flashed every few moments. Shortly afterward, the apartment was filled with the noise of the TV, and Gabriel could feel the tension in his body slowly dissipate. However, the anxiety that gnawed at his stomach remained. If he was honest, Jack had every reason to be concerned; this mission was significant enough to warrant worry.

Finally, Gabriel would be free of Talon; everything the organization had done in his life would soon come to an end. Gabriel's brown eyes shifted down toward Jack, who had his face buried in the crook of Gabriel's neck. One of Jack's hands was tangled in the side of Gabriel's shirt, while the other was draped over the curve of his stomach. The older man smirked and brought a hand up to Jack's head, combing his fingers through the smaller male's blonde hair. Minutes seemed to pass before a harsh knock sounded from the front door, causing both of them to look up abruptly toward the noise. Jack untangled himself from Gabriel's side and paused the movie before heading toward the door. He gently opened it and felt relieved to see the deliveryman waiting outside. Jack took the plastic bag the deliveryman offered, placed it on the small table by the door, and paid for the order, closing the door with his foot. He then walked into the living room, carrying the plastic bag, and held out a tan food container for Gabriel.

They both ate in silence. Jack would glance toward the older man who was eating his breakfast burrito, his eyes fixed on the screen while his hand rested comfortably on the curve of his stomach. The blonde felt his cheeks heat up slightly as he quickly looked away, shoveling a couple of forkfuls of eggs into his mouth. A small spark of desire ignited in the ex-strike commander's stomach as his blue eyes slowly shifted back toward Gabriel's belly, swallowing the food in his mouth harshly. Jack took a few more bites of his food before scooting closer to the chubbier male. He placed a hand on Gabriel's stomach, gently rubbing the soft, rounded surface. Silently, Jack observed how the smoke monster's t-shirt clung to the older male’s abdomen. The tight fabric rose slightly whenever Gabriel shifted, revealing a glimpse of skin. Jack counted the small holes scattered across the fabric, and his gaze gradually traveled down to Gabriel's sweatpants, which seemed to be swallowed by the ex-Talon member’s stomach.

Jack made a mental note to have Gabriel weigh himself later. As he glanced down at his food, he noticed Gabriel's plate was already empty. A feeling of giddiness bubbled in Jack's chest as he gently tapped the older man's arm. "I can't finish this; do you want it?" he asked, holding up the half-eaten food container. Gabriel took the container silently, burping softly into his fist as he shifted slightly. The blonde watched the older male's belly wobble, trying to keep his eyes from widening as the smoke monster's shirt rose further up, revealing his navel. The overweight man let out a shaky breath, scratching the side of his bulging stomach before continuing to eat. Jack attempted to focus on the movie, but his eyes kept being drawn to Gabriel's midsection, his hand unintentionally brushing against one of the older man's fat rolls that protruded from his side. Swallowing thickly, Jack chewed the inside of his cheek, while the heat and lust in his stomach seemed to blossom up towards his lower belly. The blonde formed a fist at his side, eyes slowly slipping closed while his other hand gently started massaging Gabriel's love handles.

"Are you sure you don't want to change your mind? It seems like you're enjoying yourself a little, Indiana."

Jack's hand froze mid-air; the blonde could feel the hair on his arm standing on end as his cheeks darkened with embarrassment. Ducking his head, Jack quickly placed both hands on his lap. "S-sorry..." he muttered.

With a quiet laugh, Gabriel leaned forward, his swollen stomach brushing softly against the blonde's side as he kissed the smaller man tenderly on the chin. The older man answered, "I like this new you, Jackie; I never said I didn't like it."

With a faint squeak, the blonde swatted the other male away. "Finish your food, and maybe I'll reward you later, you overgrown crow." He demanded lightly. Gabriel grunted softly and pushed himself back up, returning his focus to the film. After taking a few deep breaths and letting them out, Jack curled up beside the fatter male and watched him eat for a few minutes, a grin spreading across his face. Slowly reaching back up, the blonde snagged his hand inside the older man's tight shirt and started massaging Gabriel's taut, bulging belly.

Once Gabriel finished eating, Jack placed the food containers on the coffee table. While the older male shifted once more and spread his thick thighs slightly, allowing his bloated stomach to slip between his legs, engulfing the cushion underneath his lower belly. "Do I get my reward now…Daddy?" The older male taunted, hand gently shaking his belly and letting it wobble violently.

Jack's face heated up once more, as a soft growl escaped the back of his throat. "Shut up and take me to the bedroom."

Gabriel chuckled. "As you wish."

Chapter 24: ⇠Cat and Mouse⇢

Summary:

Jack and Gabriel gain access to Talon's base. What they find is unsettling.

Notes:

Sorry for the late upload, I hurt my wrist writing and had to take a break. Luckily it's better, not a 100% but we'll enough for me to pack at a chapter for an hour.

Chapter Text

Jack quickly sprinted across the field, silently crawling under the fence while Gabriel tossed the duffel bag over the wall and then followed. The blonde grabbed the bag from the ground, slinging it over his shoulder before helping the older man through the fence. The Latino rolled his eyes, grunting at the ex-strike commander, who had a big smile, as his blue eyes burned into his hidden stomach. The blonde insisted that the other male wear an oversized hoodie to hide his stomach. Gabriel didn't understand the logic, but he guessed Jack wanted to protect Gabriel's pride and, a bit mischievously, enjoyed knowing he was the one who had made the globe-sized belly. Gabriel felt his cheeks warm slightly, wrapping his thick arms around his round stomach as he watched the others run toward the building. Pushing himself to his feet, he quickly chased after the smaller male, slamming back up against the wall of the Talon base. Gabriel exhaled slowly, turning his head as Jack's back slammed against the metal wall beside him.The blonde slung the duffel bag from his shoulder gently onto the ground, unzipping the bag and examining the small, round detonation bombs Torborn had made for the mission a few days ago. They stared at each other for a long moment before Jack was the first to push himself off the wall and charge toward the double doors. Gabriel followed closely behind the blonde, his brown eyes scanning the darkened field.

The older male turned toward the blonde, nodding his head faintly, as he observed the other male slowly spin on the heels of his boots, pull a plasma torch from the bag, and then start cutting into the power supply box. Gabriel's stomach tightened with anxiety as the metal plating came loose, swinging slightly while the metal sizzled and cooled. Jack quickly flicked the switch, his blue eyes darting around as the large fluorescent lamps flickered for a few moments before going dark. "Ready?" the blonde asked quietly, receiving a short, curt nod from the older man in response.

Both men slipped silently through the double doors and entered a large lobby. Gabriel swallowed hard as he surveyed the room with his brown eyes, jolting slightly when the smaller man gently touched his arm. Jack raised an eyebrow, concern visible on the blonde's face. "I'm fine. Let's go," Gabriel said, dismissively waving a hand at the former strike commander.

As they delved deeper into the base, Gabriel sensed a creeping feeling of unease. He quickly turned his head aside and opened his mouth to speak, but only air escaped as he pushed the blonde onto the tiled floor. A powerful gust of air whooshed past him as a large black creature slid across the ground. Its claws tore into the tile, cracking it, as its side slammed into the opposite wall. Its fiery red eyes swept the room, and the beast's massive head jerked toward them, emitting a low growl as it stalked closer. "W-what is that thing?" he whispered.

Gabriel speculated that Talon, in desperation after their prized asset went rogue, is attempting to replicate whatever was done to him. Jack's heart pounded in his chest as his eyes frantically searched his hip for his gun, only to find it missing. The blonde man swallowed hard, watching Gabriel, who was gradually lowering himself to his knees. He instructed in a low voice, "When I move, you run towards the door."

The smaller male shook his head firmly, saying, "No way I am leaving you alone with this thing." Gabriel opened his mouth to protest, but the smoke monster roared, causing both men to wince and cover their ears while the building trembled. Suddenly, the creature lunged forward. Jack scrambled from beneath Gabriel's arms toward his abandoned rifle, with the older man shouting after him. Time appeared to slow as Jack knelt, swiftly turned to face the monster, and fired a few rounds into its shoulder. The monster's body convulsed fiercely, howling as its large paws lost footing, and the beast's shin slammed onto the floor, skidding toward Jack. The blonde tried to move, but a sharp pain shot through his leg, causing him to fall to his knees. Time again slowed as the shadowy monster approached. Something struck Jack's side, knocking the wind out of him as his shoulder hit the floor.

The blonde's heart pounded in his ears as he cautiously raised his head, blue eyes wide. Jack noticed Gabriel's mouth move, but his brain failed to pick up any sound. "Move!" Gabriel screamed, causing Jack to stand up. At some point, the shadowy monster regained its footing, pushing itself onto its large paws. Both men scrambled off the floor and rushed toward the double doors across the lobby. Jack could feel the monster's hot breath brush against his back while snapping at his heels. Gabriel pushed Jack into the other room first and then slammed the door shut with his shoulder, using his body weight to keep it closed as the beast headbutted the door violently.

The shadowy beast slammed into the door, nearly knocking Gabriel off his feet. The metal door creaked loudly as it started bending under the weight. The large beast slipped its claws through the gap of the door, clawing the air, and slashing the larger male's shoulder. Gabriel hissed in pain, squeezing his eyes shut as he summoned his shotgun, inserted it in between the door, and then shot the beast in its eye. Black blood sprayed across Gabriel's face, reeling backwards, letting out a low whine while rubbing its paw over the oozing wound.

The darkened hallway was filled with both men's heavy breathing. Gabriel glanced down at the deep laceration on his shoulder, hissing softly while gently hitting his head against the wall behind him. Jack stared at the other male for a moment before moving closer, gently peeling the torn fabric from the wound, wincing slightly. "We need to have Angela look at this, Gabe." He whispered.

Gabriel shook his head, gently pushing the blonde away. "No, we need to place the bombs so Ana and Cole can start the next phase of the plan." He argued, pushing himself off the wall.

Jack wrapped a hand around the other male's thick arm. "I'd rather keep you alive than have my revenge on Talon Gabe." The blonde said. They silently stared at each other for a long moment; a few more minutes passed before the blonde sighed. "You promised..." Jack stated.

Gabriel stared down at the dirty tiled flooring as Jack quickly slung the duffel bag onto the floor, pulling out a small red medical box. Flipping the lid open, the blonde scanned the supply box for a few seconds before scooping the gauze and a small bottle of alcohol out. Pushing himself to his feet, the ex-strike commander gently pushed Gabriel's torn shirt out of the way before he started cleaning the wound.

Gabriel gasped loudly, digging his nails into the meat of his palm. Biting down on his bottom lip until copper coated his tongue. Jack wiped the wound once more before the blonde tore the bottom of his shirt and then started wrapping the tattered fabric around the older male's shoulder. "You're going to need stitches; let me call Angela. The wound is too deep for safety, Gabe." Jack pleaded softly.

Gabriel was silent for a long moment, leaning his head back against the wall. before glancing up at the smaller male. "I know, I promised you, Jackie. But this is too important to give up now, besides. I can't with that overgrown dog in the way." He answered, gesturing towards the bent metal doors. The older male gently bumped shoulders with the blonde, continuing down the hallway. "You're stuck with me, Indiana; get over it." Gabriel commented, disappearing around the corner.

Jack pinched the bridge of his nose, muttering under his breath as he jogged to catch up with the older male. The pair continued down the hallway, scanning each abandoned office room before placing a few smaller bombs on the wall. Tension filled the air as the pair continued forward; Gabriel nudged his head towards another pair of double doors. Jack brushed past the larger male; the blonde's pace faltered slightly as his breath lodged in his throat and the blonde's blue eyes widened.

Inside the room were rows beyond rows of large glass tubes filled with multi-colored water. Inside were the same beasts from the previous room; some were larger than others as well as humanoid. Swallowing thickly, Jack slowly inched further into the room, blue eyes scanning the creatures. Wincing as he examined the black mask connected to each experiment's face with a thick silver tube. The blonde slowly lifted his palm, placing it on the cool glass, shuddering slightly.

Gabriel appeared beside Jack a few minutes later. Placing a hand on the younger male's shoulder, squeezing gently. "There's nothing we can do, Jack; place the bombs." Gabriel instructed sternly.

The ex-strike commander shook the other male's hand off, growling softly as he spun on the heel of his boot. "They're still alive, Gabriel! It's our duty to save them!" Jack shouted.

Gabriel silently stared at the blonde, inhaling and exhaling softly. "Jack...whoever these people were is gone. Talon stripped them of their humanity and turned them into that beast that almost killed us." He explained.

Jack could feel tears pricking the corners of his eyes; the blonde curled his fists tightly at his sides. "We can save them...just like we saved you!" The smaller male argued through clenched teeth.

The older male shook his head faintly. "I'm sorry, Indiana, but you can't save these people...not anymore. The best you can do for them is to put them out of their misery." Gabriel replied.

The blonde blinked back the tears in his eyes quickly. "I-I hate this..." Jack whispered.

Gabriel silently stepped forward, wrapped his larger arm around Jack, and pulled him into a hug. Burying his nose into the blonde's hair, inhaling deeply. "I know, I wish there was more that we could do for them. But this is the best option for everyone." He responded.

Jack let out a shuddering breath, wrapping his thin arms around Gabriel. Letting his eyes slip closed as his shaky fingers traced the fat rolls that were protruding from the older male's hips, fighting every instinct to squeeze them. The blonde could feel his cheeks heating up as his fingers traveled further down. Quickly pushing the thoughts to the back of his head, Jack gently pushed himself away from Gabriel. Tightening his fists at his side, ignoring the sharp pain coursing through his hand.

A few minutes passed before the blonde exhaled sharply, one hand traveling up towards the strap of the duffel. "I know." Jack finally answered.

Gabriel's brown eyes burned a hole into Jack's head before he glanced down at the duffel bag hanging from Jack's shoulder. "Do you want me to do it?" He questioned, holding out a hand.

Jack shook his head once more, rummaging through the bag for a couple minutes before pulling out a bomb. "No, you let Ana know we're ready to detonate the building. I'll be right behind you." He instructed.

The older male nodded, running his finger through the blonde's hair before leaning down and placing a kiss on the smaller male's cheek. "Okay, please be safe." He said, brushing past Jack, and slowly exited the large laboratory.

Jack's blue eyes stared down at the cluster bomb; the small device felt heavy in his hand. Swallowing the lump in the back of his throat, Jack looked up towards the creature. "I'm sorry... I wish there was more I could do..." He sobbed, placing the bomb on the first tank before continuing down each row. After a few minutes, the blonde tossed the empty bag onto the floor, scanning the room once more before slipping out the double doors.

Chapter Text

Jack stared at the metal door for what felt like hours; the blonde knew this day would come eventually. Half of him was excited to be finally leaving, having his own life with Gabriel, as well as maybe finally moving out of the city and somewhere quieter. A small smirk formed on his face as the thought of a dog, a cat, and maybe a couple of chickens running around their new property popped into his head. The other half of the male was nervous; Overwatch had been Jack's entire life for so long, leaving him with large spikes of fear in him. The blonde was going to miss everything now; he won't be able to see Ana and Angela. Banter with Cole and Genji, stay up late working on new tech for the crew with Torbjörn.

Jack shook the fear to the back of his head; this needed to happen. Not just for him, but for Gabriel too. They deserved to finally have peace after everything that had happened to them. The ex-strike commander exhaled slowly, placing a hand on the small scanner by the door. Watching as the metal door slid open with ease, staring at Ana, whose head snapped up towards the door, and she smiled gently. "I honestly didn't think you'd say goodbye." The sniper admitted, pushing whatever document she was working on to the side.

The blonde stepped into the overly large office, noticing it still looked the same from when Jack was Commander. Half of him wondered if Ana did that on purpose just to give everyone a sense of familiarity. Jack knew that the sniper wouldn't be the first to speak; the older woman would wait for the blonde to speak first. It was a habit Jack despised and cherished at the same time. Swallowing the lump in his throat, Jack strode towards the desk before plopping down in the office chair. Blue eyes met dark brown as the blonde sighed. "You really think Angela and Cole would let me be able to get away with that?" He questioned with a small smirk.

"I suppose not..." Ana hummed.

Jack barked out a laugh, leaning forward slightly. Propping his elbows onto the desk, he leaned his cheek against his palms. "I don't know why you guys are acting like we're dying. We'll be around; it's not like goodbye means forever." The blonde replied.

Ana's smile grew wider as a low chuckle emitted from the sniper's throat. "Of course, we know that, Jack, but let's be honest. Nobody was expecting this." She said, holding out a hand.

The blonde sighed, bowing his head slightly. "Honestly, neither did I..." He whispered, running a thumb over his knuckles slowly.

Ana hummed once more, bringing her hands together in front of her. "Have you talked to Gabriel about your hesitation?" She asked.

"There is no hesitation!" Jack shouted, slamming a hand down on the desk. "There is no hesitation, just worry that something will happen to Overwatch when I leave." The blonde repeated more softly.

Jack's brain didn't register the older woman moving until her slim hand rested on his shoulder. "It's a good thing, Jack; after everything that has happened between Talon and the loss of Widowmaker and Sombra, it's time," Ana responded. "Choosing Gabriel doesn't mean Overwatch is going anywhere." She added softly.

Jack ran a hand down his face, leaning back in his chair. Tilting his head back gently, he stared up at the ceiling. He knew this was a recurring problem in their relationship, Jack always choosing Overwatch over Gabe. The decision should be easy for the blonde; Gabriel meant more to him than a building. So why was it so hard to leave? Jack could feel the frustration growing in his chest as his thoughts whirled inside his already clouded brain. Shaking his head faintly, the male pushed it further down into his chest, ignoring the way his instincts screamed at him. He was going to choose Gabriel. No more letting Overwatch come between their relationship. For once, Jack was choosing love over duty.

"Yeah... Just hard letting go."

Ana nodded her head, gently squeezing Jack's shoulder, letting out a soft sigh. "True, but we'll be here waiting for you when you and Gabriel come back." She answered. "Knowing you, that won't be too long." She taunted lightly, earning a snort from the blonde.

"Not if Gabriel has anything to say about it," Jack replied with a loud laugh.

They sat silently for a few minutes, Ana rubbing the younger male's shoulders gently. "Before you guys leave, though, we should throw one more party," Ana said, breaking the silence a few seconds later.

The blonde rolled his eyes, softly setting the sniper's hands off before pushing himself to his feet. "Gabe hates parties, and I'm not sure if I can handle drunk Cole." He groaned.

"Come on, one last party to celebrate. It won't be anything too extreme."

Jack stared at her for a long moment, inhaling and exhaling softly. "I doubt I can convince Gabriel to come, but I guess it won't hurt." He replied, running a hand through his hair.

Ana waved her wrist towards Jack, scoffing. "I'm sure you can come up with something to get him here; use Cole. He's a sap for Cole." She responded.

The blonde rolled his eyes once more. He knew she wasn't wrong. Gabriel loved that kid. If it weren't for him, Angela, and Ana, the older male probably would have ended up either in jail or worse when Cole lost his arm during a rogue mission. Jack still remembered how long Gabriel hovered in the hallways, lost in his own head. It got to a point where Ana had to recruit Jack just to distract the male long enough so Angela could work on Cole in peace.

The memory of blood caused Jack to shudder slightly, and he quickly shook the memory out of his head. Exhaling loudly, Jack nodded his head faintly. "I'll figure something out..." he muttered.

"Great! I look forward to hearing the excuse you came up with from a very steamed Gabriel." Ana giggled, patting Jack on the shoulder before returning to her desk.

***

Jack quietly entered the darkened apartment, wincing as the front door squeaked loudly. He set the keys down into the small bowl and walked further into the apartment, his blue eyes scanning the empty living room. The former strike commander let out a soft sigh as he realized that the plate he had left on the table was missing from Gabriel's spot, likely indicating that one of them had eaten. Jack walked into the kitchen and smirked when he noticed the untouched plate still in the microwave. As he reached for the plate, he tried not to yelp when two arms wrapped around his shoulders. He relaxed as the familiar scent of Gabriel filled his nose, reassuring him. "How was Ana?" The older male slurred, burying his nose into the other's neck.

Jack smiled softly as he ran his thin fingers through Gabriel's matted hair. "She's fine. Everyone at the base was asking about you," he said. Gabriel remained silent, humming softly in response. A few minutes later, Jack slipped out of the older man's arms, heated his dinner, and walked into the living room, with Gabriel following him. As Gabriel flipped through the channels, Jack ate quietly, his already clouded mind filled with various thoughts as he observed Gabriel. The blonde paused, his blue eyes drifting down to his plate as he exhaled softly. "Hey, um, the gang wants to see us one more time before we decide what to do next," Jack mentioned, setting his plate on the coffee table.

Gabriel's brown eyes flicked to Jack. "And what would you like to do next?" He asked casually.

Jack considered for a moment, chewing on his bottom lip as he thought. "I wouldn't mind buying some land and maybe getting some pets. I could think about getting some farm animals and figuring out how to do some farming," he replied with a shrug.

The edge of Gabriel's lip twitched as he leaned forward and kissed the blonde on the crown of his head. "Sure, Indiana, whatever you want," he chuckled, turning his attention back to the movie. The blonde could feel his cheeks heat up slightly, and his eyes stared at the plate for a couple of minutes before holding it out for the other male. Who snatched it quickly from the smaller male and then pulled Jack closer. The ex-strike commander smiled softly, snuggling further into Gabriel's side, his thin hand slowly traveling up towards the small, fat roll protruding from the older male's side.

Jack felt a mix of disappointment and frustration churning in his stomach as he stared at Gabriel for a long moment. The blonde traced his fingers along the older man's sides, biting down on his lower lip. He hated forcing the ex-Talon agent to do anything and despised the thoughts swirling in his mind. "I can say you were sick or still grieving about the girls..." Jack trailed off. Gabriel grabbed another forkful of food, grunting in response with his eyes focused on the TV. "Ana mentioned that Cole was asking about you when I was there. Apparently, Cole says you've been missing boys' night," Jack continued.

Gabriel ate another forkful of food. "We've been busy with Talon..." He replied, rolling his wrist. "It's not that I don't want to see them, but I'm not you, Jackie. I don't have good memories at that base." He continued.

The blonde waited for a few minutes before swallowing the lump in his throat. "Yeah, but it's Cole, Gabe." He sighed.

The older man let out a noise at the back of his throat and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Look, I care about the kid, Jack, and I would do anything for him. However, with everything that has happened, I don't want to go back. I want to leave things as they are and move on. You can go as much as you want, but I am not," he stated firmly.

Jack gently pushed himself off of Gabriel's side, biting the inside of his cheek until blood coated the inside of his mouth. Jack swallowed the blood, shuddering slightly as the bitterness slid down his throat. The blonde formed two small fists on his lap, his nails gently digging into his thighs as his shoulders coiled tightly. "What about Cole? He'll be even more upset with you if you just up and leave again, Gabe," the blonde asked.

Gabriel inhaled and exhaled slowly, leaning forward slightly as he set the half-eaten plate down on the coffee table. "He'll get over it like he did last time. It's not like we're going to disappear off the face of the earth. He'll either find us to shout at me or hate me forever," he replied.

The blonde rolled his eyes. "That's not the point, Gabe. They want to celebrate the takedown of Talon and see us one more time before we leave," he argued, throwing his hands out. Observing as Gabriel ran a hand down his face, the larger male brought his hands up to his face, silently leaning his head back against the couch. Jack could see the argument dripping from the tip of Gabriel's tongue as the older male opened his mouth, but Jack didn't give him time to speak. "Please, Gabe. I know you hate parties. But it'll be quick; we'll stay for an hour, and then we can come right back home," Jack begged.

Gabriel exhaled slowly and turned his head to face Jack, locking eyes with him for a long moment. "If it means that much to you, fine, but just know that I don't like it."He said with a sigh of defeat. The smaller blonde squealed softly, lunging forward to wrap his arms around Gabriel's shoulders. "This doesn't mean you win the argument, and I am timing it." Gabriel huffed, rolling his eyes as he returned the embrace.

Jack barked out a laugh, nodding his head. "Of course," he chuckled.

Chapter Text

~Gabriel's P.O.V.~

Rain lazily drifted across the windshield as Jack navigated the narrow streets. Gabriel sat stiffly in the passenger seat, ready to bolt at any moment. His thick fingers nervously tapped on the door panel, while his brown eyes hurriedly watched the passing scenery. The seatbelt pressed softly into his round belly, spilling over his lap. Jack's blue eyes flicked toward the older man, noting Gabriel's stomach wobbling as the blonde hit a bump in the road. Biting the inside of his cheek, Jack forced his gaze forward and tightened his grip on the steering wheel. Copper tinged the blonde's tongue as he quickly pushed the heated thoughts aside. Jack swallowed hard, noticing Gabriel's foot tapping impatiently. "Stop fidgeting; I don't see why you're so nervous, Gabe. It's not like you don't know everyone at the party," he said, leaning over to place a hand on the other male's thigh.

Gabriel paused, slowly turning his attention toward the smaller male. Jack observed as the older male opened his mouth several times, only to close it again, inhaling and exhaling softly. "Just because I know everyone doesn't mean I don't have a right to be nervous," Gabriel said. He shifted slightly in his seat, and his belly slipped between his legs, forcing them further apart. Chewing on the end of his thumb, he added, "The last time I was in that building, it didn't end well, Jack..."

Jack gently squeezed Gabriel's leg. "Nobody blames you for that, Gabe. We know it wasn't your fault; Talon was controlling you to do those things," the blonde argued.

"I still did those things... It doesn't erase all the pain I caused throughout the years, Jack."

Jack was silent for another moment, as different words swirled through his head. A mixture of guilt and shame bubbled in the blonde's chest. The ex-strike commander swallowed thickly, slowly pulling over to the side of the road, and then turned his attention towards the older male. "Listen to me, it wasn't your fault. You were scared, and Moria took advantage of that, leading you down a road that you had no control over. Nobody hates you; nobody blames you. They're just grateful that they have you back." Jack said, gently squeezing Gabriel's hand. The car grew silent for a long moment before the older male nodded his head slowly. Jack exhaled slowly, smiling softly before starting the car once more, and then continued driving. The rest of the drive was quiet, with Gabriel leaning his head against the window, listening to the radio, while Jack's mind was in a daze. After everything had happened, they hadn't had time to breathe properly, and if the blonde had to admit it, he was scared that sooner or later the other shoe was going to drop. Scared that the older male would be the next thing whisked away from him if he blinked fast enough. Jack quickly shook the thoughts out of his head, reminding himself that that was the reason they had to leave.

As they pulled into the base, a weight settled over Jack. His heart thudded against his ribs, and his small hands trembled as he put the car in park. Both men stared at the looming building in front of them for what felt like hours until Gabriel broke the silence. "One hour, in and out," he reminded Jack, who responded with a quick nod. They steadily climbed out of the car, and Jack noticed the older male slipping on an oversized hoodie in an attempt to hide his stomach before following behind him. As they drew closer to the building, the sound of heavy bass music bounced off the thin walls, while a streak of bright neon lights flashed across the windows. The smaller male gave one last look over towards Gabriel before placing his hand on the scanner, watching the metal door slide open, and stepping into the overly loud building.

Gabriel followed cautiously, brown eyes scanning the building. "You made it!" A voice shouted, startling the older male. Jack bit back a snicker, watching Cole materialize out of the crowd and quickly wrap an arm around Jack's shoulder and pull him into a hug. "Boss!" The cowboy yelled, flinging himself off the blonde. Jack stumbled slightly, regaining his balance quickly as Cole lunged towards Gabriel. Wrapping his arms tightly around the older male, burying his face into the older male's shoulder.

"Hey kid..."

"I didn't think you'd come..."

Gabriel's eyes flicked towards Jack. "Yeah, well, I couldn't leave you without saying goodbye." He answered.

Cole pulled away with a large grin on his face. "Genji is going to flip out! Come on!" He urged, grabbing Gabriel's hand and pulling him into the crowd. Jack laughed loudly as he made his way to the snack table, poured himself a drink, picked up a cupcake, and watched as the group’s eyes lit up when they hugged Gabriel.

oOo

Jack knew he was well past tipsy at this point; he was finding the line of drunk at this point if he was honest with himself. At some point in the night, well past the time limit Gabriel gave them, Jack ended up alone, glaring at the older male and Genji drumming his fingers on the snack table while his friends danced and laughed around him. The smaller male wasn't even sure why he was suddenly jealous. Genji was dating Cole, which in and of itself was a shock of a lifetime, but Gabriel had bet money with Ana and somehow won. It was like old times. And Jack hated it. Okay, he didn't hate it, but a small part of him did, and the mixture of jealousy and rage was overtaking logic in his dazed brain. Jack growled, forming a small fist on the table as he pushed himself onto his shaky legs, stumbling a bit as he walked towards the older male. Ignoring Cole as he spoke towards him, she wrapped a hand around Gabriel's arm, pulling hard. The blonde watched the other male's mouth move, tilting his head as the jumbled words flowed from one ear out the other. "Are you drunk?" Gabriel asked.

The blonde pulled on Gabriel's arm once more, snarling. "So what if I am?" He replied more harshly than intended.

The older male laughed, sending a wave of heat down Jack's lower belly. "Nothing, just a good look on you, Indiana." Gabriel taunted.

The blonde narrowed his eyes and puffed out his cheeks, earning another snicker from the older male. He pulled Gabriel into the hallway, ignoring both Genji's and Cole's calls. They stormed into one of the smaller corridors, and once they were out of earshot, Jack pushed Gabriel into the darkened space. “Listen here—” Jack started.

"Listening." Gabriel cut him off quickly.

Jack glared at the larger male. "Shut up..." he demanded softly. Footsteps echoed down the hallway, causing the blonde to yelp and shove Gabriel into the nearest supply closet.

Gabriel's head hit the back of the closet, and he cursed under his breath. Rubbing the back of his head, he muttered something in Spanish before repositioning himself. Jack tried to push the heated thoughts filtering through his mind as Gabriel's bloated belly pressed against his. "Just like old times." He commented while grinning. After a few moments, the grin loosened, turning into a frown. "Are you going to tell me what has you so upset, or are we going to have another shouting match?" He questioned. Jack bit down on his lower lip, feeling his cheeks heat up, and his blue eyes fell towards the ground. Minutes of silence passed before the blonde cursed loudly and lunged for Gabriel, kissing him roughly. The older male made a noise in the back of his throat, wrapping a thick hand around Jack's forearm, pulling him back. "I—Indiana, slow down." He panted.

A sharp flash of dread shot through Jack's spine as he pressed himself against the wall. "You don't want me?" he questioned, his voice faltering slightly.

A quick flash of anger crossed the older man's face, but it was quickly replaced by concern as Gabriel sighed. "Of course I want you, Jack. I'm always open to being intimate with you, but I don't want to do it inside a cramped supply closet," he replied cautiously.

Jack crossed his arms over his chest, pouting. "You used to like having sex in the supply closet." He countered.

Gabriel snorted, rolling his eyes. "Yeah, when I was six hundred pounds skinnier, it was kind of hard to move around with my stomach in the way." He responded, gesturing towards himself.

The blonde gazed at the larger male for a moment, his small hands running up and down Gabriel's soft stomach. "I happen to like your stomach like this," Jack purred, trailing a finger up Gabriel's belly.

The older male sputtered, and Jack could see the blush forming on Gabriel's cheeks as he cleared his throat while making his way towards the door. "Okay, Casanova, time to go home. You're too drunk to remember this, and I'm not risking you getting a concussion because you can't keep yourself upright." Gabriel stated.

Panic swelled in the blonde's chest. "No!" He screamed, placing a hand on Gabriel's hand. Tears pricked the corners of his eyes as his shoulders trembled slightly. "N-No...Please Reaps..." He pleaded softly.

Gabriel sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, before shuffling around and wrapping his arms around the smaller male. "Fine, but we're going back to my old room. My shoulders are cramping up, and I doubt I can hold you up in here." He replied, pushing open the closest door. Jack nodded eagerly, wiping the tears from the corner of his eyes, ducking underneath Gabriel's arms, and stumbling out into the hallway.

Gabriel gently wrapped a hand around Jack's wrist, leading the drunken blonde down the hallway. "I should apologize to Cole...I was rude to him earlier." Jack muttered, leaning against the older male's side.

The older male snorted, "Nah, he doesn't mind. He's probably too busy sucking face with Genji to even notice." Gabriel answered.

Jack hiccuped loudly, groaning, as bile burned his throat. "Still mind-blowing they're together..." He muttered.

Gabriel shrugged, turning the corner. "No weirder than Lucio and Hana together." He answered.

The blonde glanced up at the older male, eyes blown wide as he stopped walking. "H-How'd you know that? They joined years after you left." He asked.

The older male paused and turned his head back towards the smaller male. "I may or may not have been keeping an eye on everyone while I was at Talon whenever I was free from their control. Ameile told me that I would get caught sooner or later. Olivia used to get so mad at me for leaving her behind and always said that gossip was her thing. But it never felt right, you know. Later on, Ana gave me information about everyone when she found out," Gabriel admitted with a small shrug.

Jack hummed softly as he continued walking. After a few more minutes, the numerous twists and turns began to make his head spin even more. They had to stop several times so Jack could throw up in a nearby trash can, while Gabriel rubbed his back and hummed a soothing tune in Spanish. They arrived at Gabriel's bedroom a few minutes later, the blonde complaining as he leaned against the cool wall while the older male punched in his code. Half-expecting it not to work, Jack was surprised when the door slid open a few seconds later. He stumbled into the bedroom, while Gabriel stood frozen in the doorway, his brown eyes scanning the disturbingly clean room. Half-conscious memories buzzed in the back of the older man’s mind as anger bubbled up inside his chest. Gabriel gripped the doorframe tightly, his nails slowly transforming into long black ones that dug into the metal. The anger swelled within him as the world around him began to fade to darkness, and his ears rang loudly. “G-Gabe?” Jack's weak voice broke through Gabriel’s dark thoughts. The red in Gabriel's eyes faded back to brown, and his nails returned to normal. “Are you okay?” Jack asked from the bed.

Gabriel slowly let go of the doorframe, wincing at the ripped metal marked with three deep claw marks. Before stepping into the bedroom, he muttered, "Y-Yeah... Just dizzy." The door quietly closed behind him.

Jack scooted closer towards the wall, lifting the blanket. "Come to bed." He whispered. Gabriel peeled off his hoodie and shirt, tossing them to the corner of the room, and slid into bed next to the blonde. Fighting the urge to snarl and throw Jack across the room as he slung an arm around Gabriel's shoulders, nuzzling his face into the older male's chest. "Love you," Jack muttered, before the room was filled with the blonde snoring shortly afterward.

"Yeah, me too."
