All Good Things to Those Who Wait

Summary:

Two different lives, two different mentors, merge under one roof. Will they all manage to get along? Who knows, find out by reading.

Myra was a simple girl who was just trying to make some money while working at an underground casino. Unbeknownst to her it was set up to be raided by the Port Mafia. She was taken back to the base by Osamu Dazai, and ordered that to be a new recruit.

Raian has had a very difficult upbringing, in the sense that she hasn't really had one. Her ability makes others fear her and treat her like a demon. Despite this, she is rescued from her life by Chuuya Nakahara and given the choice to join the Port Mafia.

Notes:

So, this one is going to be very different and very new in style for writing and how it was written. This story is being written as an rp between myself and a friend of mine (Her nickname is the same as the oc, Raian). There are two oc's, Raian and Myra. I'm not quite sure how this is going to play out but for now I'm giving it a try. Thank you for believing in me and my friend as we do our best to make this ❤️

Chapter 1: Myra's Intro

Chapter Text

Myra Leo
Age: 20 [by end of story, shes is 16 in beginning]
Height: 5'0
Weight: 140lbs
Organization: Port Mafia
Ability [if any]: "Glamour" The ability to give someone one command, with a duration of 30 minutes, only with direct eyecontact. Does not work on Dazai or Mori.

Back story/character summary: Stolen by the Port Mafia when she was 13, by 14 year old Dazai. He saw her use her ability in an underground casino and decided she could be useful. She was a blackjack dealer when he found her. He waited for the raid that the mafia had set up to begin before he knocked her out and took her with him. It was clear to him that not only did she possess a useful ability, but she also had experience working in the shadows of the world. Dazai trained her akin to training a bad dog. He even gave her his siganture black tie as a sort of leash for her, he woukd actually make the joke, "Here, this will tie you to me."He was physically and verbally harsh with her. The training sessions were long, sometimes lasting days, but she persevered. She never dared to go against him. She was his subordinate, and he made sure she knew it. He would occasionally be nice to her, just enough for her not to leave. Sometimes, he would make remarks about going out with another associate, Oda, only to would rub it in that Myra was only allowed to have Dazai.

She was used to get information out of anyone taken by the mafia and to help capture people for information. Whenever she did something well, Dazai would pat her head like a child. She wouldn't tell him, but she liked the affection he would give her. Despite being completely subservient to Dazai, if anyone else so much as looked disrespectful in her direction, she would swiftly and silently fix their attitude.

Sometime later, Dazai's associate Chuuya would join the Port Mafia. When Chuuya joined Dazai began to spend less time on Myra. She was grateful for a break from Dazai's actions, but she also found herself missing him, even his cruel side.

The story is currently set with Myra at age 16, Dazai and Chuuya both being 17, and Raian being 15.

Well they won, obviously, and Chuuya took pity on the girl because his past and her situation seemed all to familiar. So he ends up recruiting her and becomes her mentor.

Chapter 3: An Invitation

Chapter Text

Raian's POV:

"Sir,  I see you have brought in a new recruit?"

"Yeah,  what of it?" Chuuyas voice responded to the man who stood gaurd near the upper halls of the port mafia building.

Beside the ginger was a young girl, no older than 15 years of age, sporting medium - short choppy red hair that paired well with the vibrant appearance of her emerald green eyes. Her body was clothed in a pair of ripped jeans, a tattered black t-shirt, and a pair of rugged hiking boots. Her arms were covered in tattoos, which paired well with the partial tattoo on her throat. She was petite in stature but also thin for her size and bore bruising amongst her throat, wrists, and ankles; an indication of her former abuse and hardship in life.
Despite the gazes of the port mafia pawns, the girl kept her gaze focused on the double black doors ahead of her. In a different situation being passed off to another mafia organization wouldn't have fazed her; instead, the girl would have mentally prepared herself for the bindings of shackles against her flesh and being thrown in a cage as if she was some unpredictable, wild beast. Yet, though subconsciously she was preparing herself for that possible outcome, this entire situation felt abnormal, almost kinder. Instead of being mentally prepared for the worst, she was developing a sense of anxiety for an unexpected unknown.

It didn't help that as her and Chuuya came to stand before the double doors, which slowly opened at their arrival, that the red head felt the gentle presence of the gravity manipulators hand lightly against her back. It was a sign of reassurance, something that was still so new to her.

"Welcome, Chuuya. I suspect this is the girl you've recently reported on?" Came the voice of an older man whose tone didn't match the expression on his face. Though his voice held a gesture of politeness to it, something in the man's eyes held an emotion that was more sinister. "She's a cute one."

"Boss.." Chuuya began as he gave a polite bow to the man before him, ignoring the comment the man made after his greeting." I would like to propose recruiting her into the port mafia. Her ability is unique and diverse; it would hold great value in use within our organization. "

As Chuuya made his proposal, the girl copied the boys' actions and kneeled down beside him, her eyes focused on the carpet as she listened to the exchange. After several more moments of talk, the boss of the port mafia signaled her out.

"Girl, mind telling me your name?" He asked, his voice smooth like silk.

The girl hesitated for a moment, her eyes shifting to Chuhya briefly before raising her head to speak.
" Raian, sir. Raian Akumachi." Raians voice was quiet but strong as she forced herself to make eye contact with the boss.

Moris, said boss, eyes gleamed as he slowly removed himself from his desk and approached her. As he did so, Chuuya stood and took a few steps away in order to give them space.
"I have learned a great deal about you from Chuuyas reports. You haven't had it easy, have you? Being chained up and treated like a demonic creature certainly isn't flattering for a youth as yourself. Still, I am sure it taught its lessons." Mori voiced offering out a hand to Raian, who cautiously took it,  before she rose to her feet.
" Being part of the Port Mafia won't be an easy feet either. We are masters of the night; assassinations and crimes are our Forte..though it is all for the benefit of our city. If you truly want to dedicate your life to us, then you must be aware of the missions that would be asked of you."

Raian gave a weak nod, her mind beginning to race at the weight of this man's words.

"None the less, I will assure you, you won't be treated poorly. I hold prize over my subordinates and rather have them treated what they're worth." Mori glances over at Chuuya, who gives a nod in agreement before turning back to Raian.
" So, do you plan to accept Chuuyas proposal?"

Raian stared at Mori with wide eyes. (He is giving me a choice!?) She thought in disbelief, her eyes glancing slightly over to Chuuya. The ginger haired boy reminded stoic, his blue hues giving away nothing. After moment she met Moris gaze once more. Somehow, despite the man's words, she also sensed that she didn't really have a choice. With that knowledge, she simply dipped her head.  " It would be a honor to be a part of the Port Mafia, sir."

Moris lips curled into a smirk as he reached a hand out to pat her head.
" Then welcome aboard, Raian. Chuuya here will take on responsibility for you. Anything you need, just go right to him." He voiced his gaze flickering over to the boy.

Chuuyas eyes gleamed, and he gave a polite nod. " Leave her to me, boss. "

Myra's POV: This is happening at the same time as Raian's POV.

"You're still not fast enough." Dazai's words cut through the large, dimly lit warehouse as he pushes the girl's frame away, bouncing her off of the wall. Her pale pink hair is braided for ease, her dark clothing formed to her curvy features, and she has many bruises and scrapes littering her limbs. She huffs, gets up from the floor, and wipes some blood from her lip. The rage in her heart not even remotely presents on her delicate features.

Dazai's typically cold facade was beeming at her, egding her to go on, he held up two fingers curling them back at himself. She used the wall behind her to vault herself past Dazai, in an attempt to confuse him. The eyebrow raised on his face indicates ahe may have succeeded. She jumps from the other side, off of a support beam, back at Dazai. Her fist soaring forward toward his face, go big or go home, she thought.

His eyes widened for a second, barely noticeable to anyone else, but she still saw it. But she still wasn't quick enough. He grabbed her wrist out of the air and easily flipped her, slamming her on her back.

"Myra," He was rubbing his temple as he walked over to her panting, sore form laying on the ground. "That was better. But I'm still not satisfied with your performance."

She sat herself up, propping on one of her elbows. She winced as she felt the pressure of Dazai gripping her shirt. He was leaned over her, pulling her up to his face.

"Do you really expect to be my second with this little effort?" His words stung, but she didn't react physically. She merely kept eyecontact and waited for him to finish his speech. "Get your shit together before I find a replacement."

As he released her shirt, he also pushed her back.

"Yes, sir." Her voice was low but resolved. She got up once more, taking a fighting stance. She wasted no time coming at him again, speed, and force are her friends. She threw punches and kicks with precision, but Dazai blocked them all. He landed a swift punch to her gut, indicating he was getting impatient.

She smiled as the uppercut lifted her. She quickly brought down her right foot, connecting with his head. It was a risky move, but it seemed to pay off. She landed on her feet, about three feet from Dazai, holding her gut. He was hunched over lauging to himself. As he picked up his head, she saw a grin that sent chills down her spine, a bit of blood trickled down the center of his forehead.

"That's what I'm talking about!" He stood upright, walking over to Myra. He patted her head affectionately. "You sacrificed yourself to get a hit in. That shows me you'd risk your life to complete your mission. Good job."

Myra blushed, his praise was so far and few in between, this was such a wonderful gift.

"We can call it a day, for now." He held his chin for a moment before looking down at her again. "I think you deserve a little more. How about you go out with me tonight. I'll get you a drink."

"Of course, Sir." It wasn't a request, but she didn't mind. She nodded, happy to be included in his world. He smiled, satisfied with the outcome of todays sparring.

He didn't have to tell her to dress up or clean herself up. He knew she would be presentable.

The two of them exited the building, heading back to the Mafia headquarters. A black car waited for them, a goon of theirs opens the doors for them, and they get in.

Once back at headquarters, Dazai leaves to right up the report for Myra's training progress. She headed to the locker room to shower and change back into her regular clothes.

By the time the two of them met back up in the hall, it's rather late. But neither of them mind. Myra even put on a little makeup. Dazai half smiled at her, eyeing her get up.

"It's not as fancy as this, but I think you'll still have fun." Dazai, on the other hand, had not changed his clothes, but did clean the blood off of his forehead.

They got into another car that dropped them off at a small hole in the wall bar. A lit up sign with the word 'Lupin' written on it shined dimly as Dazai led her down a flight of stairs. The interior was beautiful, yet simple, with an old timey feel. No one besides the older bartender was in the bar. The bartender was wiping glasses as Dazai and Myra sat down together.

"What'll you have tonight, Mr. Dazai?" The older man smiled, waiting for Dazai's antics. But Dazai looked to Myra with a grin.

"Whatever she's able to stomach." Myra blushed, looking to the bartender that was already waiting for her order.

"Crown on the rocks, please." Dazai raised an eyebrow while looking at her and holding up two fingers to the bartender. He nodded and started preparing the drinks.

"I didn't take you for a whiskey girl." Dazai joked. He knows damn well he drives Myra to drink. As the bartender sets their drinks down, he says, "Enjoy."

"You dont know me very well then, do you?" Myra lifts her glass to Dazai. He smirks and clinks it with hers. They both down them and continue drinking and joking into the night.

Chapter 4: Some Introductions Bode Poorly

Chapter Text

Raian's POV:

After the meeting with Mori, Chuuya had led Raian to the elevator that took them several floors up before coming to a stop. Stepping out of the elevator he led the way down the long hall to a door at the very end. Here he turned, pulled out a card, and swiped it against a key pad that unlocked the door, and gave it allowance to be opened.
" Here we are, welcome to your new room." Chuuya flashed me a smirk as I hesitantly peaked inside.
Raians eyes went wide in awe at the size of this so called ' room'...it was 100% more then that.  At the feeling of a slight nudge to her back, the red head took several steps inside, while Chuuya waited patiently in the doorway.

To say Raian was in shock would be an understatement. The room was large and more of a studio apartment. There was a comfortable looking queen size bed at one corner, that was sheltered by two end tables; each with their own wall infused lamp. Beside that was a large window that over looked the city. What's more, was the floor was covered in hard wooded planks with a expensive looking, furry carpet over it. A sofa rested near the center wall, facing a TV screen that hung opposite of it. On the opposite end of the room was a small kitchen, all booked with a fridge, a small oven-microwave combo that was anchored above a 2 burner stove, which fused nicely between false marble counters and a stainless steel sink. Beside the kitchen, was a closet, and beside that a full bathroom.

" This......This is really my room?" Raian asked in complete disbelief, her eyes constantly scanning the room. There were no cameras or metal bars covering the windows. There were no shackles or chains that hung from the walls or crowded her bed. Everything was clean, and neat, with no signs of roaches or rodents and the furniture was of high quality.  This was a room meant to serve as living space for a recognized human, not a wild animal. . and that, well, that just made her smile.

" Of course. We aren't some monsters. The boss really does treat us well. " Chuuya responded completely understanding the emotion she was feeling. " I believe the refrigerator and cabinets are also stocked with food, so do help yourself. " He encouraged as he watched her move to the kitchen to look around.
Even if Raian didnt know how to cook, the food that was provided would be just as good raw, as if the boss had predicted that flaw of hers.

" Take the evening to adjust and rest. Tomorrow I will begin your training; 8am sharp." Chuuya voiced turning to leave. Yet as he did so he heard the small footsteps of the girl rushing over to him. As he turned though, he paused, before dipping her head.
" Thank you. Thank you so much, Mr. Chuuya."

Chuuya could help but smirk as he reached a hand out to pat her head. " Chuuya. Just Chuuya, is fine. I will meet you in the morning."

**************************************

The next morning Raian found herself up and ready by dawn. Though her bed and room over all were comfortable, her mind remained on high alert most of the night as if expecting this room to have some hidden flaws or threats to it. Alas nothing negative came about, and come the first lick of light of the dawn sun, the red head found herself up and preparing for the day.
First she took advantage of the private bathroom to shower, before changing into a pair of brand new clothes the port mafia provided: this included a fresh pair of jeans (which only contained 1 or 2 holes for style rather then damage), a new pair of boots, a crop top red t-shirt, a leather crop top jacket, a pair of fingerless leather gloves, new piercings, and of course a stylish belt. To say she looked punk AF, would be an understatement.
Raian then spent the remainder of that morning waiting for Chuuya, by eating a banana and some pre-cooked boiled eggs for breakfast.

Finally as 8am arrived, so did the gravity manipulator.
" Morning. Wow, you found the new outfit I see. Looks great." He smirked earning a faint blush from Raian. She wasnt use to compliments.
" If your ready, come with me. Today I want you to show me your ability." He explained turning to leave the apartment.

Raian followed quickly, making sure to lock her door as she went, before following the ginger into the elevator. She blinked in confusion as the numbers climbed upward before opening up to the roof of the Port Mafia building; at least 40 stories high or so.
"Er...The roof?" She asked as her gaze turned to the smirking gravity manipulator.

" Yes, the roof. Got a problem with that?" Chuuya asked side glancing at me. Raian shook her head 'no' in the process as she followed the lad to a spot that had obviously been used for training before; most likly by the ginger himself.
" Alright, show me what you got. I want you to attack me with all of your force; no holding back." Chuuya demanded as he positioned himself several feet from Raian.

Raians eyes went wide with uncertainty. " Er...I dont.."

" None of that; you wont be able to touch me, so just come at me why dont ya?" Chuuya barked with a grin.

Raian took in sharp breath before letting it out. With in the next movement she rushed forward, activating her ability before transforming into a artic wolf. She lounged, Jaws wide at Chuuya, only to be tossed aside as his gravity ability activated defensively. Blinking, she charged again, recalling the last time she fought Chuuya; She recalled how he used his gravity ability in both a defensive and offensive way, and that most attacks, if any, would cause him now harm.
With a snarl she lept once more at the kid, this time changing into a weasel at last second in order to get beneath him. She then immediately took the form of rhino, and tossed her horn upright.
(Got you!) Her mind reeled as she felt Chuuya lift from the ground with the force of her attack. Yet to her dismay, she suddenly realized the weight of the situation, as the mafioso was floating above her, while her body pressed heavily into the concrete.
(He used his ability to increase my gravitational weight, while lightening his!? Thats so impressive!) Raian thought.

After a moment the weight lifted, and the girl took the chance take on a new form, one of a hawk, which she used to sore upward above Chuuya. The boy grinned as he watched the girl circle above, before diving downward.
As she approached Chuuya sprung upward with a kick, only to barily miss as Raian changed into a snake at last minute and coiled around his leg. As he landed and went to remove the serpent off of him, she then turned into that of a massive grizzly bear, thus managing to pin him to the flooring of the roof top. Rains eyes beamed with victory before she heard a chuckle right as she was tossed off of Chuuya once more. She landed hard against one of the roof pillars, and ended up transforming back into her human state.

" Not bad! Impressive even!" Chuuya praised as he rose to his feet and brushed his clothing off. " I would of been toast if it wasn't for my gravity manipulation ability."

Raians eyes lit up at the honest praise. " Y.....You really think so?!" She asked earning a simple pat on the head as Chuuya approached.

"Perhaps. Though I will say you are a bit clumsy with some of your movements. But we can work on that. I think some warm up exercises  every morning before each session, followed by some basic hand to hand combat moves will benefit you as well." Chuuya continued as he mentally listed how he planned to train the girl.

Raian gave a nod, as she rose to her feet. She parted her lips to speak before the sound of foot steps interrupted her.
Coming off the elevator was a man she hadnt really seen since the day Chuuya approached her about recruitment; Chuuyas partner, Osamu Dazai. To say he intimated her some, would be an understatement. The way his eyes seemed to stare into her core made her on edge as if he was the type to re-shackle her up.

"Oh great, What the hell are you doing up here jackass?" Chuuya barked at the sight of Dazai, making a movement to stand almost protectively in front of Raian as if he took notice of her nervousness.

Right as Dazai was about to respond, a girl with long, light pink hair appeared behind the darker man; her expression quiet as she tailed after her mentor.

Myra's POV:

Myra stopped behind Dazai. Although surprised to see Chuuya with a new protégé, she didn't show it. The girl looked scared, poor thing. If Chuuya trains anything like Dazai, she should be, Myra thought. But Myra also thought she was kind of adorable, despite the punk rock appearance she put on display. Myra also found herself eyeing the girl's crimson hair. She touched the edge of her own hair. Maybe I should cut mine? She thought.

Dazai glanced back at Myra, tossing his thumb at her, then looking back to Chuuya before speaking.

"This one could use some more practice. What are you doing, Shortstack? New meat?" Dazai grinned at the girl beside Chuuya. This made Myra feel nauseous. She looked to Chuuya, who was visably angered by Dazai's choice of words. Myra imagined the two of them as a doberman and a shiba inu, antagonizing each other. She quickly stiffled a laugh before anyone saw.

Raian seemed very uncomfortable. Like if she could, she would simply turn invisible. I wonder if she's nice? Why am i thinking that? She probably won't even be around long. All of these thoughts circling her mind got cut off by Chuuya's response.

"Not that it's any of your business, but this is Raian. I'll be training her from now on, and she is not meat." The harsh bite on the word 'not' made Myra feel something. Admiration, maybe? She wasn't sure, but she wished Dazai would defend her like that. Chuuya took Raian's hand to guide her past Dazai and Myra. As he passed by, he glanced at Myra. "Good luck with your training, Myra."

Myra nodded back to him as a response, not sure if she should actually speak to him.

"Bye-bye pouty Chuuuuya!" Dazai waved as they walked away. Myra dared to watch them leave as well before turning back to Dazai, who had quite the mask on his face. She was worried about training now, Dazai always had pent-up feelings after talking with Chuuya, and she would get the brunt of them.

Dazai turned around, heading into the elevator, Myra followed him. He pressed a button and stepped back from the doors. Once the doors closed, he turned to her.

"What do you think of her?" Myra's face was blank, but she was very nervous. If she answered the wrong way.. Well, she tried to think of a response that he would accept.

"I don't, sir. I have to focus on my training." Dazai frowned, wrong answer. Dazai pushed her against the elevator wall, glaring into her eyes.

"I don't want to know what you think I want to hear. I want your actual thoughts, or do you not have any in that empty head of yours?" Myra's breath hitched, but she maintained her composure, used to Dazai's antics by now. She gritted her teeth before speaking.

"I think she's cute. She seems terrified, like I was in the beginning." Dazai eased up the pressure he had been putting on her as he pondered what she said.

"Tsk, ridiculous." As the elevator dinged, he walked out as if nothing happened, and she was expected to do the same.

They entered a meeting room where four underlings waited in black suits. Upon entering, they removed their sun glasses and placed them on the table. Dazai sat at the far end of the table, Myra sat a crossed from the four men. She would proceed to use her abillity on them until she could no longer blink without getting a headache.

Chapter 5: What's the Plan, Stan?

Chapter Text

Raian's POV:

"Fucking bandaged freak...." Chuuya began but his voice dyed down into a mutter as he felt Raians hands twitch within his grasp. Recognizing he had been holding onto her hand the entire time, he loosened his grip before letting go. He flashed her an apologetic look.
" Don't let that idiot Dazai get under your skin; He may come off as a complete ass, but he isn't as shallow as he makes people believe." He reassured as he placed his hands onto his hips.

Raian simply gave a nod, as the two had made their way back inside, using the stairwell instead of the elevator in order to avoid Dazai.
" I didn't know he had a subordinate as well.." Raian voiced after a moment, as they continued their decend.

Chuuya gave a shrug of his shoulders. " Her name is Myra. She has been a part of this organization almost as long as Dazai himself. Apparently she was his first recruit despite having only working here for less then a few months. " He explained.

Raian listened quietly her mind slowly drifting into thought as she grew curious of the girl. After several moments they finally exited the stair well on a random floor before approaching the elevator. Once inside they descended down to the lobby floor before exiting the building.
" Where are we going?" The red head spoke after a moment, her eyes finding their way to Chuuyas face once more.

" Somewhere quiet. There is a place not far from here where I like to train." Chuuya simply explained as they both slowly made their way down the city side walks.

Though the two were set on their destination, it wouldn't be of any surprise that they would wined up getting interrupted. Only about 4 blocks away from their destination, Raian sudden froze in her steps. Her emerald gaze shifted around, as her heightened senses (a side effect of her ability) caught the attention of something sinister.

Chuuya also paused in his steps as he noticed Raians suddenly alert expression. " Something up?" He asked his brows furrowing as his gaze shifted around as well.

Raian gave a slow nod, as she continued to scan the area, only to stop when her senses picked up on the target. Without a single word she ran forward, taking the form of a pure black German shepherd as she rounded the corner of some buildings. Before her was a group of 3 men; smugglers of sorts, all armed, trying to break into to a off hand, ally way, pawn shop. It didn't take much for Raian to apprehend the first man; her k9 jaws gripping down on his shoulder as she pinned him down chest first to the concrete.

" Filthy mutt!" One man shouted at the sudden attack, while the other man obviously was wondering if this dog was a police k9.
Before either could do much more, outside of raising their guns, gravity took over making the other two men drop to their knees.

" Well Well....Looks like we caught some trash on our turf." Chuuyas voice sounded as he slowly walked down the ally way towards the men. The fear in the smugglers eyes was enough to tell the mafioso they recognized who he was, just based on ability alone.

" W-We didn't realize this was port mafia territory!" One man tried to protest only to feel the sharp, crushing pressure of teeth pierce down to his bones as the black dog bit harder. He screamed in pain before he and the other 3 men were silenced by Chuuyas ability.

" What a drag...." Chuuya muttered clearly not planning to have to deal with this mess this early in the morning. He glanced around pleased that no one saw, before turning to Raian as she let go of the limp man. " Good work... this pawn shop is actually a Port Mafia dealer. Its too early to be open, but its best that you caught scent of the threat when you did. We could of been out a lot of value if they got inside." He praised as he reached down to stroke the shepherd ears. Something about his touch, especially when she was in this form, felt amazing. Perfect. Right. Her tail began to wag as he continued, seemingly forgetting that she in fact was more then just a dog. But hey, it was a known fact that Chuuya is an animal lover; especially dogs.

Pulling his hand away, he decided to call for clean up while they had a chance. Flipping open his phone he dialed a number, before giving the information to the person on the other side of the line. He then hung up, and turned back to Raian who had resumed her human self.

" Lets get out of here.." Chuuya voiced as he took lead to leave the ally way once more.

Myra's POV:

Myra sighed as she listened to Dazai whine.

"Am I boring you?" His voice had a tinge of malice in it, but Myra was much too tired to care. Her head felt like her brain might melt and leak out of her nose, the consequences of using her ability too much in a short amount of time.

She was bored and feeling guilty about sending those men after Raian. She had only just met her after all. But what could she do? If she refused, Dazai would flip tits and who knows what he would do to her.

She shook her head, willing herself to look at him. "Of course not, Sir."

She had already sent the four men away, so it was just the two of them in the meeting room.

"Good, where was I?" Myra tilted her head, rolling her eyes. They had about five more minutes before they would need to see how his plan would pan out.

"You were explaining how chuuya could stand to have more of a sense of humor." Dazai snapped his fingers at her before continuing.

"Ah yeah, thanks. Like, why can't he pull the stick out of his ass? Although, at this point, it's more like a full tree." As Dazai continued, Myra tried her best to be attentive and polite, but all she could think was, 'Why dont you idiots just kiss already?' and 'Can we go yet?'. "All he does is brush me off and be short. The audacity."

Myra held back another laugh at that one. If Chuuya has audacity, Dazai must be a narcissist. He probably is, she thought.

"We should go, Sir-" Dazai shot her a look, and she stopped her sentence.

"I don't need you to remind me." He swiftly got up from the table and headed out of the room, Myra following close behind.

The two of them took the elevator down and proceeded to get into another black car. The car pulled up to a park of sorts with lots of vegetation and side paths. Its nearing sunset and the shadows give good cover.

Chuuya and Raian were talking near one of the bigger trees, before Raian asked to hang out in the park a bit longer. Chuuya, being a gentleman, simply told her not to stay out too late. He quickly faded in the distance. Raian sat on the ground, just watching the sky, probably pondering if she should make a run for it. Myra saw the men in the bushes not far from Raian. They were in position and ready.

Myra's eyebrows knitted together as she worried about this plan. That poor girl, she thought. That poor girl..

As the men descended on her, Myra attempted to look away, but Dazai grabbed her hair, forcing her head forward.

"Watch, this information could benefit you too." The venom in his voice brought her to a still. His hand remained in her hair, though.

Chapter 6: A Two-Way Street

Chapter Text

Raian's POV:

Something told Raian that the evening wouldn't be as peaceful as it seemed. Chuuya allowing her to enjoy the park setting a bit longer only fueled her senses with something the ginger was unaware of: an inside threat.

As Chuuya vanished, most likely to head to the local arcade for a bit before returning back to his apartment, Raian felt the hairs along the back of her neck begin to prickle. And right when her senses were at the peak of screaming, 4 men in dark suites appeared from the shadows in a quick ambush.

Raians eyes shifted around to each man, completing her assessment, before quickly shifting into a new form.
To Myra and Dazai who watched, it appeared as if the men had completely covered her...yet to their realization, as the men all took a step back, that the girl in question only seemed to vanish.

A moment fluttered by leaving the four men staring in bewilderment at the ground the red head had just been sitting. But as that moment passed, they were taken by complete shock as what was once nothing sprouted something massive and dangerous: gorilla.  The ape thrashed its muscled arms around, swinging and landing powerful blows to the men, thus sending them all flying to the ground. Each man stunned, yet still under manipulation, they forced themselves back to their feet one by one, as they attempted to charge in once more.

Yet for Raian, she knew she needed to take a different form if she wasn't to cause to much commotion in such a public setting. Hell, she should be fortunate that the park was empty at the time this attacked began.

So to keep things a bit more discrete, she took on her human form and waited for the men to come within arms lengths; two of the men ready to fire their weapons.
Once where she wanted them, she took on the form of a weasel, dodging their grasps, before fleeing to the side, thus causing the men to collide.

She snickered to herself before making her final move to take on the form of a massive reticulated python. She latched her fangs onto the shoulder of one man, as she coiled her body around each of the others, thus squeezing their breath from them until they each fell unconscious.

"What the fuck do you think your doing ass hole?" Chuuyas voice growled as he appeared suddenly behind Myra and Dazai.

Dazai, startled though, refusing to show it simply glanced up at his partner with a frown.

"Come now Chuuuuya. I'm an executive now, I just want to ensure that this girl has what it takes to be in the port mafia is all." He threw his hands to the side as if the idea bored him.

This only made Chuuya scowl and throw his fist against the top of the bandaged boys head.

"Raian is MY recruite, meaning YOU need to lay off, jackass!" He growled, his eyes shifting away from Dazai briefly to catch Raian shifting into the form of a cat once the four men were subdued.  He let out an obvious sigh of relief and frustration as his gaze snapped to Myra momentarily with disproval before focusing back on Dazai.

As the boys argued, the small black cat that Raian had disguised herself as slowly approached, only to stop and pause a few meters away. Her eyes shifted from the trio to the unconscious men behind her, then back, her ears flattening as she came to conclude the scenario. No one ever said the port mafia was fair or that once you were accepted, you would be safe from scrutiny.

Myra's POV:

Myra's eyes widen momentarily with hurt when Chuuya looks at her. As he berates Dazai, she squeezes her fists and blurts out, "I'm sorry, Chuuya."

The conversation stops immediately. Dazai glares at her from beside her. She is in for it. Chuuya shakes his head, placing a hand on his head, then dropping it.

"I know you were only listening to this brain damaged weirdo. I won't hold it against you. For now." Chuuya pats her head affectionately, Myra sees the look Dazai is giving her. Internally, she panics. Dazai peels Chuuya's hand off of Myra's head.

"Let's make this a two-way street. Don't interact with my recruit either. I dont need her going soft like you." Chuuya shook his head again.

"Whatever, dick for brains." And with that, he walked after Raian, who seemed questionable at best emotionally.

With Chuuya and Raian far enough away, Myra glanced at Dazai, who was seething.

"Sir-" Dazai didn't even let her get out a sentence before slaping her hard. She flew back onto her butt, bracing herself with one arm, the other holding her cheek. She looked at the ground as he approached.

"Don't you ever go against me, especially not in front of Chuuya. I dont care if I had told you to chop her damn arm off. Your job is to do what I tell you without resistance." He kneels down to meet her at the same level, pulling her hair so he can talk into her ear. "If I am not understood, you can eat my gun."

Her heart was racing, but her face remained blank. She nodded without a word. He increased the pressure on her hair, causing her to wince. "Understood, Sir."

"Good." He released her hair and stood up, brushing the dirt off his pants. "Be back at the warehouse by 0400 for early training."

Her stomach flipped when he said that. She was in for a rough day tomorrow.

He held out his hand to help her up, and she took it. She brushed off her bottom, and they got back in the car they had waiting. The ride was silent as Myra stared at her feet.

Once they got back, Dazai gave her another harsh glare before turning and entering the building.

Myra sighs before entering the building herself. She's sure Dazai will use the elevator, so she takes the stairs to her room instead.

She enters her room, closing the door behind her and leaning against it. She sighs, sliding down the door. Deep breaths, everything is fine, she tells herself.

Her pale white walls, coupled by her grey bedsheets and white desk, just push her further into her head. They tell her she doesn't really have a personality or a will of her own.

Before she can stare at them for too long, she gets up and gathers things for a shower.

Once washed up, she sets an alarm and immediately settles into her bed.

Chapter 7: An Offer?

Chapter Text

Raian's POV: A two day time skip.

Dazai smiled as he caught Chuuya's eyes.

"What's up, Shrimply?" Chuuya huffed at Dazai's taunt, rolling his eyes. Raian looked away from the interaction between them. Their conversations made her anxious.

"None of your damn business, Loafer." Dazai held a hand to his chest, faining hurt from Chuuya's words. He snickered before turning to address Raian.

"What about you, feeling better?" Raian nodded, not looking at him. Chuuya grimaced.

"Dazai-" Dazai held up a hand, signaling to Chuuya that he wasn't done.

"I would like to apologize for the actions of myself and my subordinates from before. Truly, I hope you can forgive us." Cuuya's jaw was on the floor. Raian even met Dazai's gaze.

Before anyone could say anything, Myra came around the corner, dabbing her bloodied lip. She stopped short looking at the group, embarrassed to meet Raian's gaze.

Raian was stunned. Never once in the brief time she was within the port mafia has she been addressed by Dazai in such a polite manner. Her green eyes were clearly expressing her surprise as she gazed upward at the taller male.

She parted her lips as if she was about to say something, only to catch sight out of the corner of her gaze, a figure as it approached the group slowly. Snapping her attention to the person approaching she realized it was Myra; Her lip appeared a bit bruised and bloodied as if she had just been a fight.

Chuuya obviously noticed Myra's appearance, and his sharp blue hue snapped towards Dazai; a scowl gracing his lips. [ We will talk later...] His stern gaze seemed to say, making his partner blink, and roll his eyes.

What Chuuya didn't know was the hint of disappointment Dazai felt at the scolding look from the ginger. Perhaps the young executive should learn to be a bit kinder to his subordinate...

"Fuck it..." Chuuya muttered to himself before glancing towards Myra. " I assume you're on break as well?"

He questioned the girl who gave a slight nod. The gravity manipulators gaze then shifted back to Dazai as he sighed, and raised a hand to rub the back of his head.

" I was about to take Raian out for lunch as to celebrate her one month survival within the Mafia. . ." His gaze then shifted away awkwardly. "I guess you both could join if you wanted.."

Raians eyes remained wide at Chuuya's suggestion. She could sense from the scent the ginger expressed, that he was certainly suggesting this as a means to show Myra a bit of kindness; because God knows that Dazai wasn't...or at least thats what was suspected.

Myra's POV:

Myra shifted her gaze to Dazai, who quickly plastered a smile on his face.

"What a lovely idea, Chu-Chu." The tall brunette winked at the ginger as his sentence ended. Chuuya scoffed, probably already regretting his invitation. Myra gave a small smile as she glanced to Raian. Her emerald eyes meeting Myra's pink ones, a slight half smile rising on the edge of her lips.

"Well, let's go then." Chuuya's voice was slightly impatient as he started walking toward the front door. The others followed suit, Dazai shrugging, and the girls silent.

They decided to walk as it wasn't that far and it was gorgeous outside. Clear skies with just the right amount of breeze flowing alongside them.

The bandaged man occasionally made typical suicidal jokes and comments throughout the walk, earning him several harsh comments from the ginger. Myra and Raian would exchange looks with each other, stifling laughs.

While the other two were preoccupied by yelling at each other, Raian turned to Myra.

"Did he do that?" She kept her voice low, purposefully. Myra's face turned back to its stoic self as she nodded once. "What a jerk."

Myra smiled, looking forward as she spoke.

"Thank you, but its my fault. I was out of place." Her long, blushy hair whisking behind her with the breeze. Raian frowned, but figured she should let it be, there wasnt much she could do anyway.

"Okay, good luck." Myra smiled once more, nodding to her.

They eventually start coming into town and just as quickly find themselves at the Deli Chuuya suggested.

Chapter 8: Deli-Delightful

Chapter Text

Raian's POV:

Raians mind wandered as she tried to even imagine the harshness of Dazais training as they entered the deli. Her eyes darkened as such punishments reminded her of the abuse she suffered at the past organizations; the way they would shock or intoxicate her in order to 'put her in her place' or ' teach her a lesson'. The memory sent a chill down her spine, as she gave her head a small shake to try and clear the thought.

What she didn't relize was how obvious she was being with her thoughts; Clearly all three within the group took notice.

"You alright?" Myras voice whispered beside her, breaking Raian of her thoughts. As she looked up she realized the girl was gazing at her with an eye brow hitched as she tried to figure out the cause of Raian's reaction.

"Raian." Chuuyas voice startled her, causing the red head to look away from the other girl and over to her mentor. The ginger motioned her forward, and gestured to the menu on the wall.

"Order what you want..." He voiced as he watched his subordinates gaze begin to clear up at the distraction.

Raian gave a nod and stepped over to the server only to order a milkshake. Nothing else.

"Seriously?" Chuuya voiced from behind her as he crossed his arms.
" Get me two cheese steaks, everything hot..and an order of fries.." The ginger called out to the person taking their order. "Oh, and make that two milkshakes.."

With those words he places a firm hand on Raian's shoulder and pulled her aside while Myra and Dazai ordered.

Raian shifted awkwardly beside Chuuya, as the group stood and waited for their meals; each of them gazing at their phones boredly. Once the food was ready, Chuuya took the roll of grabbing it, before taking the lead outside to the small patio the deli offered. As everyone took a seat, he passed out the items, before taking a seat beside Raian, but across from Dazai.

This left Raian and Myra face to face across from one another. And as Raian slowly began to sip at her shake, she heard Chuuya finally speak out her thoughts, as he gestured towards Myra.

"So shitty Mackerel, what the fuck is up with that?" The ginger scowled clearly using his expressions to indicate he obviously disproved the way Dazai scolded his subordinates.

Myra's POV:

Myra's face reddened as she looked at her fries, trying her best not to make eyecontact. Dazai sighed, placing a hand on her shoulder, giving her a light squeeze. Her whole body tensed as he did so, but she quickly pushed the feeling away to make herself relax. He didn't remove his hand while he talked, only making Myra more nervous.

If this wasn't settled fast, she'd be in trouble again. But she didn't know how to quickly resolve this either. If she spoke now, Dazai would consider it an insult to his character, so she remained quiet, fidgeting with her hands under 7the table.

"Well, training just got a little out of hand, that's all." He was lying through his teeth. But he wanted Myra to confirm his words nonetheless. As the others looked at her, she shyly nodded once.

Chuuya scoffed. No way was he buying that hot garbage. He crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow.

Dazai smirked, crossing his own arms.

"Let's have a good time, okay?" Raian flicked her eyes to Myra, who still hadn't lifted her eyes from the table. The red-headed girl chewed her lip, not sure how to proceed. She figures it's still best to let Chuuya handle it, but she still worries for the short, blush haired girl.

"Lie to someone else." Chuuya's voice was solid and absolute. Dazai frowned, unamused that Chuuya wouldn't just let it go. But before he could say anything, Myra suddenly rose from her chair.

"I have to use the restroom, excuse me." Her voice was faint, but still heard by all of them. She then hurridly disappeared to the bathroom inside the Deli.

Chapter 9: Sometimes You Just Need a Friend

Chapter Text

Raian's POV:

Myra's sudden removal of herself from the table only made Chuuya scowl more before snapping back to Dazai.

"The fuck man!" He shouted as he stood.

Raian froze at the sudden anger the ginger emitted as he glared at Dazai. She didn't know what she should do next or how she should proceed. Yet a swift glance from Chuuya gave her all the direction she needed.

Slowly she placed her shake back on the table and stood up. She gave a slight nod to the boys before turning to search for Myra in the restrooms.

Slowly entering the deli she found the restroom and tapped on the door.

"You alright in there?" Her voice was gentle as she slowly tested the handle to see if it would turn. To her surprise it did, indicating the girl must of forgot to lock it in her rush.

Opening the door Slowly as not to startle the other mafia member, Raian slipped inside to find that even though it was a single bathroom, it still contained a stall around the toilet.
"Myra .. ?" Raian's voice was hesitant as she sensed the other female hiding.

Myra's POV:

Myra was leaned against the wall in the stall, hearing Raian's concerned voice only made her panic more. She placed a hand to her mouth, trying to steady her breathing.

"Y-Yes, I'm alright." She heard Raian lock the door, she was already kicking herself for not doing it herself.

"You're lying..." Raian voiced, a hint of sternness in her tone, once the bathroom door was locked. Her eyes traveled back to the stall, though instead of approaching it, she simply leaned against the restrooms sink.

"Why does he treat you like that?" This time, her voice was gentler, that strict tune replaced with something derived of a mix of emotions; many which swelled from her own trauma.

Myra shook as she tried to think of something believable. She took a deep breath, pressing her wrists against the cold wall.

"He's my mentor. He does what he thinks will train me the best.." She didn't believe it herself, there's no way Raian was going to. She let out another sigh. "I don't know.."

"Maybe he just has too much inside that he has to let out." Myra closed her eyes, if Dazai knew she was talking about him like this.. "I want to be there for him too."

Raian is silent as she listens; her over heightened senses picking up on the different ques of Myras emotions as she spoke.

"That gives him no excuse for abuse..." She responded as she shifted on her feet. Though Myra couldn't see it, the red head reached her hand up and touched her fingers to the leather fabric that decorated her neck.

"Mafia or not.. you're still human; and you should be treated as such."

"You're right.. but I don't know how to talk to him." Myra's voice was soft as she clutched the black tie against her chest. "One minute, it's like he's sweet and caring, the next.. he's someone else."

Myra balled her other fist, smacking it against the wall.

"I'm sorry I helped him pull that trick on you. Please don't say I said anything though." Myra slowly opened the latch on the stall door. Peering out at Raian, her cheeks are slightly puffy as she walks toward the sink.

Raian watches as the stall door opens, and Myra steps out. Taking a step away from the sink so the other girl could use it, she averted her eyes.

"You just need to find that key out.." She voiced slowly as she closed her eyes with thought before reopening them and focusing back on Myra.

Raian was all to experienced with what it felt like to be powerless under someone else's control. To this date even if it's only be a month, she was grateful that the Port Mafia got involved with her former gang and eliminated them. But even more so, she was grateful for the boys, especially Chuuya, for showing her respect and sympathy.

"Chuuya was my key; Perhaps he can be yours as well..?" Myra ran cold water, wetting a paper towel and dabbing her face with it to reduce the redness. She let out a small laugh.

"I hope Chuuya rips him a new one." As she was satisfied with the pigment of her cheeks, she tossed the paper towel in the can beneath the sink. "Do you think they're fighting right now?"

Raians emerald hue met with what should could only be described as a magical shade of pink. She cocked her head to the side slightly as she tried to focus her senses outside of the restroom walls. The neutral frown she had been wearing slowly curved up into a small smirk.

"I can confidently assume so." The red head straightened back up as she moved closer to the restroom door to unlock it. Myra raised an eyebrow before nodding and walking a comfortable distance behind Raian.

"Thank you, for talking with me." She still kept her voice low, just in case.

Raian gave a wave of her hand in response as the two girls exited the deli.To their surprise, neither of the boys were where they left them. Instead, what remained of their presence was a flipped over table, spilled milkshakes, and food scrambled all over the deli's patio.

Raian gave a blink as she frowned. She was truly looking forward to that shake. Sighing she glanced around. She was sure she had heard the two boys bickering only moments ago. The fact that they vanished and the table in which they were just sitting at was in shambles told the girls they the duo must of took their bickering elsewhere.

"Do we even bother seeking them out?" Raian asked as she turned back to Myra. It wouldn't be difficult for her to track the boys down, it was rather if it was worth it or not.

Chapter 10: Bombshell

Chapter Text

"Would you indulge me if I asked you to watch them with me?" She gave a slight shrug. Myra was worried about walking into their scuffle full force, but she absolutely wanted to hear the conversation between them. She smirked as she asked Raian, mischievous thoughts  beginning to brew. "I guess, I'm asking you to spy with me."

Raian gave a puzzled face as she pondered the idea. It wouldn't be any trouble for her to track the men.

After a few moments of thinking, the girls decided to track down the boys; their curiosity rising as closed in on their target.

Coming to an ally way a few blocks away, Raian paused at the corner. Together, her and Myra, as stealthy as they could be, peered around the corner to see Chuuya and Dazai still in some form of argument. Instead of the loud, aggressive yelling the girls were expecting from Chuuya, the ginger instead was growling hushed words; his eyes blazing with irritation.

The gravity manipulator also, had his bandaged partner gripped by the collar of his shirt, and pulled forward. Dazai obviously had purposely leaned forward just a bit so that the duo were only cetemeters away from eachothers face; the tips of their noses brushing.

Raian blinked trying to hone in her senses to intemperate the exchange of words between the two, but the only ones she managed to pick up were from Dazai.
The brunettes lips were curved upward in a smirk as his voice lowly spoke, "Then shut me up."

Not even a moment of hesitation came from the ginger as he yanked Dazai aggressively forward by the grip of his shirt.

Myra and Raian's eyes flew wide as the red heads lips collided with the other males; Raians surprise came out silent but Myras lips parted just enough to let out a very hushed gasp.

What really through the girls for a loop was when Chuuya broke the kiss and began to pull away, Dazai reached his hands up ever so gently, to cup the gingers cheeks, before pulling him back into another kiss. This one was very much less aggressive and held an emotion that was deeper.

But the shocker was how gentle Dazai was being with Chuuya...and how Chuuya didn't immediately retaliate and punch Dazai into the concrete wall.

"M-Maybe we should give them space." Raian whispered in a stutter as she pulled away from the wall.

Myra, too stunned to speak, merely nodded in agreement. She turned away from the scene before them, kind of jealous.. kind of blushing? Did she want to be Chuuya? She wasn't fully sure. She plastered a smile on her face as she turned to Raian.

"Let's get you that milk shake." Raian nodded, eyebrows still raised. The two girls headed back to the Deli silently.

Myra reapproached the deli counter and ordered two milk shakes. The cashier gave her a little crap about the state of the table but quickly let it pass when Myra tipped him extra.

She placed one milk shake in front of Raian first, the second in front of herself, and then she sat down.

"So, maybe we should forget about what we saw.." Myra started. Raian took a slow sip of her milkshake, still trying to process what they saw.

"I don't know if I can do that, but I won't say anything." Truth be told, Myra wouldn't be forgetting either. But she worried what would happen if it was brought up. Gor herself, but also what the Port Mafia would do if they discovered Dazai's and Chuuya's conflict of interest. Surely, they would see it as a possible betrayal.

"Thank you." Myra shook her head, willing the images to go away. Raian nodded, taking more sips of her shake.

"This is really good, thanks." Myra smiled, nodding in her direction. At least, she was able to do something for the crimson haired girl after all she had done.

"Of course. You had earned it after all." She meant it in an endearing way, but her voice may have come off condescending. "Would you maybe want to hang out some more?"

"Yeah, sure." Raian directed her focus back to Myra, after stairing into the clouds for a hot minute.  She leaned on her palm, going back for another sip. "Are you upset about this?"

Myra shrugged, tilting her head to the side. She didnt really understand her feelings. She didnt know how to feel about it, so she decided not to. "I dont know."

Her honesty even surprised herself as she looked at her own shake, taking a sip.

"Are you?" Myra, quickly added in.

Chapter 11: Waterside Therapy

Chapter Text

Raian gave Myras words a deep thought. Maybe? The red head took another long sip of her shake before deciding with a shrug of the shoulders.

"I'm fascinated if being honest." She voiced after a long moment."I could always feel the tension between those two, but never couldn't understand it... It's never normal... But now I see why."

Her eyes focused at the sky, the red head watched as several birds flew overhead. Raian closed her eyes as a breeze gently caressed her cheeks.

"Perhaps, you're problems with Dazai will ease up now?" Raian suggested calmly as her and Myra took their renewed milkshakes to go.

Catching Chuuya and Dazai fumbling into a make out session certainly was a surprise to the girls. Yet some how, Raian sensed there was some sort of tension between the duo; as if they had been building their feelings up for a long while.

Still, Raian had a good sense that perhaps this meant Dazai would begin to change the way he treated people.

That thought in mind, she realized her and Myra had made their way to the ports water front. Blinking her emerald eyes, the red haired lass couldnt help but pick up her stride and head over to the docks.

Her shoes clicked against the wooden boards as she quickly made her way to the docks edge. There she stared out at the ocean, her eyes wide and sparkling. Nature, in any sense, was always something she desired to be lost in. Perhaps it was because of her abilities secret, perhaps it was just her inner self that had a thirst for freedom.

Myra followed behind Raian, at her own slower pace. She leaned against one of the dock posts, taking a peek at the crimson haired girl. Myra loved seeing that expression of clarity and wanting. She smiled to herself, tugging on the straw of her drink.

"Maybe you're right." The blush haired girl gleemed toward the water. The sun dancing on its ripples gave her a comfort she hadn't felt in a long time. Of course, it was short-lived as her thoughts began to write over her feelings. It's one thing to hope and wish for something you've never had. It's another to have had a bad experience and know it's a slim chance of improving. She sighed to herself. "Hopefully, anyway."

Raian tilted her head, smirking.

"A little optimism goes a long way, ya know?" She crosses her arms while caressing the heart on her choker. "I think Chuuya will be a good influence on him, he was on me afterall."

Myra nodded, taking the last sip of her shake.

"I suppose that's true." Her voice was meant to sound affirming, but it almost sounded like sarcasm instead. Myra leaned down, sitting cross-legged on the dock.

Raian blinked as she glanced away from the water to stare down at the other female.

"Have some faith." She voiced simply catching the uncertainty in the tone of her voice. Still the red head continued to fiddle with the metal heart buckle of her choker as she decided to take a seat beside Myra.

Setting her empty shake cup aside, she scooted closer to the dock edge so her legs could dangle over it. She stared down into the water briefly catching her reflection. Raian then took in a deep, sharp breath as she closed her eyes. She wanted to take in the scents and sounds of the ocean. The way the salt seemed to tingle her senses, as the splash of waves soothed her nerves.

She sat like that for several minutes before reopening her eyes and turning back to Myra.

"Have you ever thought about being free?" The question was innocent, yet Myra clearly took it a bit as if it was some sort of test. She shook her head as if the idea was repulsive.

This of course caused Raian to tilt her head to the side and gaze at her wide eyed as if she was insane.

"Not once? Ever...?" She questioned before she picked up the scent of uncertainty from the other girl. "Are you scared to leave?"

Myra staired at her hands, unsure if she should be truthful. She had already shared more with the girl than she ever intended to, but Raian had a way about her that made Myra feel.. safe? A foreign feeling that scared her, but she didn't want to let it go.

Having a friend wasn't something Myra ever thought she would have, and she didn't really believe she had one now, but she was starting to care for the garnet haired girl. She needed to know that these types of things were not safe to discuss. Most of all, Myra wanted to keep her safe, to keep her around.

"There are consequences for even thinking about this conversation." Myra took a deep breath before looking at Raian. She keeps her voice low but steady. "I have thought about it. But it's not safe. I understand that Chuuya is kinder to you, and you have a different view of our organization, but please.. Dont make the mistake of thinking you could just leave."

Her eyes are pleading with Raian, hoping she understands.

Raians eyes analyzed Myra for a moment as she took in the energy that the other girl was releasing. Slowly she turned her gaze away back to the horizon.

"I don't think I could leave even if I wanted to...." She gave a faint smile as she watched a ship slowly leave the port in the distance. Her tone was even, though there was an emotion in her gaze that clearly held longing; her words evident that they carried some sort of hidden message.

Myra cursed under her breath. That was probably the wrong way to handle things. She wasn't the best at reading people, but she could feel the hurt radiating off of Raian. It wouldn't be long before the boys would head back to base anyway, she shook her head, willing the memory of them to fade again.

"I'm sorry.. Thank you, Raian." Myra started to stand up, taking her empty cup with her. "Maybe we should start heading back, though?"

She offered her hand to Raian, smiling.
Raian gave a slow nod, taking Myras hand and allowing her to help her stand onto her feet.

Together the girls made their way back to the port mafia base.

"There you two are." Chuuyas voice caught them both off gaurd as the elevator opened. The gravity manipulators arms were crossed, and he was staring at both of them with disproval.

"Sorry..." Raian voiced first, and just that word seemed to soften the mafisos expression slightly.

Chuuya let out a sigh as he reached a hand up to run it through his hair.

"Its dangerous for you to wander off like that yknow?" His words sounded like a scold, yet they held no weight to them.

"I will be more careful next time. " Raian gave a dip of her head as a small smile graced her lips.

Myra looked past the ginger before speaking.

"I kept her for a bit. Her company was helpful. Sorry, Mr. Chuuya." She gave him a slight bow before she made a move to step out of the elevator.

"Well, as long as you're both safe, I guess." He smirked as he stepped to the side. Myra couldn't stop picturing him and Dazai, lips mixing, hands blurring. She needed to get away from him. She nodded and began walking down the hall. "Wait, Myra."

She stopped, turning her body halfway back to him.

"Dazai wants to talk to you. He's waiting in your room." Myra's fear must have been written on her face because the ginger quickly followed up with, "Don't worry, I had a talk with him. He should be sorting out his shitty behavior."

Myra smiled back weakly, trying to show she believed him.

"But if he doesn't, you let me know." His voice is absolute, but his face is grinning. Myra nods again before turning back around.

Raian listened to the words swapped between Chuuya and Myra quietly from within the elevator. Giving a supporting thumbs up as the girl turned to head towards her room.

Watching Myra head down the hall briefly, Chuuya then turned and joined Raian on the elevator. He clicked the button for the floor Raians apartment was on, before finding his hands back in his pockets.

" Sorry that our lunch got ruined by that mackeral. Next time we will go alone." Chuuya voiced his eyes steady on Raian.

Raian smiled.

"I still enjoyed it." She voiced, the image of the ginger and brunettes make up session still very clear in her head.

Chuuya must of picked up on her distraction, for he quirked an eye brow up.

"Problem?" He questioned.

Yet before she could answer the elevator dinged and opened at the floor her apartment was on.

"N-No. Just ..an....intrusive thought is all. " the Red head tried to lie as she shifted out of the machine.

Yet before she could get anywhere, Chuuya stepped out after her, reaching out to grasp the rim of shirt.

"Not so fast..." He frowned, his sapphire hue watching how Raian suddenly became reclused and shy. "Eh.. whatever. nevermind. Go enjoy your evening....I will see you bright and early for training."

Releasing his grasp, he placed his hands back into his pockets before turning back to the elevator.

Raian watched Chuuya leave, a suspicion that the gravity manipulator suspected something.

He knows I saw... Her mind whispered causing her to shake her head. Regardless the red head decided perhaps she should try to take the evening to relax.
