Chapter Text
Dark and bleak, the future was oh so very dark and bleak. Deep black tears flow from those blood red eyes as Alice stares into the distance, taken over by vision after vision. Every single one of them the same. Over and over again she watches the fighting, the bloodshed, the war. It always comes, no matter what she does. People die no matter who she tries to protect. She collapses onto her and Benjamin's bed, horrified and devastated at the utter loss and despair that will over take them all. She didn't know what to do, didn't know what she could do. It all led to the same outcome, that war. She sighs, staring up at the vaulted ceiling of the castle bedroom. Her home for the past five years. Those tears stain her face as they pour out from her eyes silently, death, pain, despair. They all enveloped her, they all became her as she searches over and over for a different future, a better future.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jasper and Harry exchange a glance, both feeling the utter depression pouring out from their sister. They frown at the destroyed vision of Alice, so chipper and cheery, so very sad and devastated. They sit beside her in silence, not pushing, not prying, simply offering comfort as they sit there. Finally, after a long while, she breaks. Her tears coming swiftly with harsh sobs and she hunches over into herself. Harry jumps up from his seat, rushing to her and hugging her from one side as Jasper covers the other.
Their eyes meet above her head, whatever was plaguing her, it couldn't be good. Nothing easy ever caused Alice to be this devastated, only true disasters ever caused her to break. To see her like this? Truly meant something terrible. Harry and Jasper stare at one another, no matter what it was, they would make it through. They would make sure all of them did, no matter the consequences.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alice doesn't speak, at all. For minutes, hours, days. Not a single sound comes out of her mouth. She simply walks around, mute, eyes glazed as she makes her way around the castle, her home. Eyes followed her everywhere, concerned for her wellbeing, more and more of them becoming tense the longer she goes without speaking. Harry bites his lip as she passes him, without even seeing him there. He gulps and finally decides to summon his own powers, the anxiety and stress finally breaking him. His eyes flash before darkening, becoming utterly black as he looks around him at the souls of those he loves. His legs weaken, a choked gasp coming from his mouth as he falls to his knees before the guard, his family. Dead, all of them were going to be dead within a year, at most.
Their eyes whip towards him, widening as they take in his now weeping form kneeling on the floor. His sobs are just as harsh as Alices’s had been all those days ago as he braces his hands on the marble floor of the throne room. He gags, vomit forcing its way up his thoat, burning as it makes its way up and out of his mouth. Again and again he gags, vomiting on the floor as the images envelope him. Those souls, he had never seen such rapid decay of a soul before. Not even Victoria’s had decayed as fast as theirs, she was already showing signs of death long before he had killed her. His family? Not a single one of them had shown a hint of death lurking nearby. Yet now, now they all had shriveled up, coated in decay and rot. Their deaths would be soon, bloody and terrible, he could smell it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Harry joins Alice in the library the next day, his eyes red raw with dark bags underneath. Jasper had been wildly concerned, yet Harry had not spoken about it, not until he spoke with Alice.
She sighs, finally speaking after days of silence, “I can’t stop it, no matter what I do. It always happens.”
Harry gulps, “what causes it?”
Alice hunches, holding her head within her hands. Black tears run down her wrists as he cries quietly into her petite hands.
“A war. A bloody and swift war that cuts all of us down as if we're merely insects. We are shredded to pieces, blown up, slaughtered without mercy, without guilt. They find us, Harry.”
His eyebrows furrow in confusion, even as horror and terror fills him, “who? Who finds us?”
Her head finally raises from its spot, cradled in her hands. Her eyes are dead, empty as she meets his gaze, “the humans, the muggles. They use their bombs, their weapons, their tanks, their guns. It's so fast, so bloody. We can do nothing to stop it, Harry. They always win. Always kill every single one of us. We only have six months, maybe seven before they strike. They found out a month ago, they've been planning to exterminate us since then. All of us, not just the vampires, but the shapeshifters, the wizards, anything odd or with magic they will kill. I don’t know how the others will fare against them, but us? Every vampire in the world is destroyed and slaughtered. Other than Jasper, he's the only survivor, every single time. You and him make it through because of your bond to death, but you die over and over again, so many times you both go insane from the pain and the trauma of it. Of watching so many of your loved ones die in front of you.”
Harry gulps, staring at her in utter horror, “how? How did they find out?”
Her gaze meets his once more, those eyes filled with sadness, despair, guilt.
“Us,” more tears flow from her eyes as she shakes her eyes, “we were so stupid! We forgot all about Bella! She told them, Harry. Told them all about us. And now we're all going to be killed because of our mercy, of our forgetfulness, of our stupidity!”
Harry stares ahead, simply looking at the blank wall, no, no, no, no, no.
It wasn’t possible, it couldn't be possible. His hands shake as he looks at Alice again. They simply stare at one another, horrified at the truth of their actions. Tears form in both of their eyes once more, some dark as night, the others as clear as day. They fall from those eyes as they sit there, silent and morose as the consequences of their actions catch up to them in the worst way possible.
Here’s another chapter! Hope you all like it! 😘
Chapter Text
Harry had told Jasper, through tears and sobs, what had happened, what they had done, what they couldn't do. The man simply held him through it all, his own silent tears falling from his eyes, trailing down his face, and landing atop Harry’s head.
“We can do something,” the blond intones, “we have to do something.”
“How? How can we do anything, Jasper? Alice sees us all dying no matter what we do! It's useless, they're all going to be slaughtered in less than a year, Jasper! Even their souls say so.”
“I don't know, darlin, I don't know. But we'll do it, I know we will. You have to have faith in yourself, in the guard, in me. We will change fate, darlin, we will change her visions. Don't forget her visions are subjective, Harry. We will find the solution, no matter what it takes from us. You are the Master of Death, darlin. And have you forgotten who I am? I'm the God of War, Harry. We can do anything, even survive an impossible situation. We’ve done it before, we’ll do it again.”
Harry sobs once more, hiding his face in Jasper’s chest, “it feels so hopeless!”
“Did you feel hopeless when you fought that dragon? When you fought those dementors? When you fought both a possessed teacher and the diary horcrux in the same week?”
Harry gulps and nods, his tears staining jasper shirt, “yeah,” he chokes out.
The blonde sets a finger underneath Harry's chin and raises it gently, smiling at him softly as he smooths the tears away from his cheeks.
“You may have felt hopeless then, darlin, but you made it through. You survived, you won. And you may feel the same way this time, but remember who you are, what you have done and achieved, Harry. Don't forget what you are capable of, you have rewritten history before, you can easily do it again. You have people by your side this time too, we are all here for you Harry. You don't have to do this alone, you will not do this alone. We will all do this, figure this out, and survive it, together.”
Harry nods his head wildly, blinking away his tears as he attempts a smile. Jasper smiles sadly back at him.
“Come on darlin, let's go find the others, they need to hear this too. Then we can start planning, we need as much time as we can get. We’ll figure it out, darlin, don't you worry.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jasper breathes through the utter depression sinking into him, into the very foundations of the castle, he grimaces. He let it go on for a day, no longer, they needed to move and fast. He forced everyone’s emotions out of them, far, far away from Volterra. He scowls at them all, forcing determination to fill their very soul and beings.
“We are not going to simply lay down and take this, we are not going to sit there and cry as they slaughter us. Have you forgotten who all of us are? The kings of the vampires? The guard of the Volturi? Made up of the most powerful vampires in the world! Alice’s visions are subjective! We can change them! We will change them, even if it's a day before we all die, we will do it. Do not forget yourselves among your misguided grief. Are we really going to fall into a depression and let humans of all things kill us?”
Murmurs spread as Jasper snarls at them all, eyes as black as night as Major’s old influence creeps into him, into his very tone and body language. Harry smiles proudly, standing tall as those emotions swirl into him, he sighs, closing his eyes and his smile widens. He would do this, they would do this. No matter the cost, because that cost would be less than the one waiting for them now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They split up, each vampire assigned a different job, some researching ideas and solutions, others brainstorming what they could do to fight back or do to survive. Some were sent to warn the vampires throughout the world. Alice was to watch the visions for any change, any whatsoever. Harry watched their souls, checking as often as possible for the smallest of changes. Neither he or Alice saw anything different, simply a bleak future with rotting souls.
The days passed slowly, the determination Jasper had invoked in them flickering, diminishing as even he lost hope, slowly but surely. Vampires flocked to Volterra, making the castle into their home as the apocalypse of their kind reached their ears. More and more researchers jump into the search. At every moment of the day someone could be found in a hidden corner far away from the others, sobbing as their hope runs out. Jasper’s strain was obvious as he worked to make sure everyone was instilled with as much hope and determination as possible.
The pages of books rustle as fingers glide over text, hands turn the pages swiftly. Harry simply stares at the book in front of him, knowing the answer wouldn’t be within it. He wished he had help, he wished he had someone that could find the answer to anything. As much as he loved his new family and friends, they simply didn’t have the answers they needed, they didn't know where to find those answers. Tears form in his eyes and he gulps, throat dry as he hunches over.
He wished he had Hermione. He stills. Hermione. His eyes meet Alice’s and she looks at him in confusion. He grins, laughing loudly as she continues to stare at him in complete bewilderment.
“Hermione!”
Every vampire in earshot of him stops to stare, watching him as if he was finally breaking mentally, his grin grows and he pounces on Alice.
“Does the name Hermione mean anything to you?”
Her eyebrows furrow and she shakes her head, still confused by his excitement.
He laughs and sobs in equal measure, tears blurring his vision as he falls to his knees before her, sobbing harshly as the reality finally hits him. Relief pours into him as he wonders why he hadn’t thought of it before. Alice could only see visions including those of vampires and humans, not of any other beings. He had allowed her to see him, her visions of him getting clearer after Jasper had bit him that very first time. But all other beings still gave her monumental trouble. Jasper’s arms wrap around him and try to pick him up, Harry wriggles insistently enough for the blond to frown and set him back on the ground. Harry giggles around his tears, wiping them quickly before looking up at Alice with clear eyes for the first time ever since his realization. He sees a flicker. Of life, of hope, her colors just slightly brighter as the future changes, ever so slightly, in their favor.
“Hermione. She’s the answer. We have to find her!”
Chapter Text
The wizarding world hadn't changed one bit since he had fled six years ago. With the single exception that there were now even more books about him and a statue in his honor. This world now thinking him dead. He gulped as he walks down Diagon Alley, looking around curiously, wondering if he would see anyone from his past here.
His eyes water at the shop, Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes, the shop he had funded so long ago. He dares a glance in and looks away quickly, seeing the twins behind the counter chatting with customers happily. His hands shake, they knew he was alive, safe, they all did. The letter he had given them when he had fled proving that. Sure, it wasn’t much, but it was all he could deal with.
He stops when he reaches the end of the alley, looking up at Jasper. He bites his lip, it was sunday. The day of the weekly Weasley get together, all of them should be in attendance. He shakily lets out a sigh and grasps Jasper's hand in his own, winking them out of existence with a near silent pop. He stares at the burrow with tears in his eyes, simply watching from a distance. Another pop sounds, closer to the house as a red head appears, Charlie. Harry watches as more and more of them show up, before finally, Ron and Hermione appear, hand and hand before they walk inside of the burrow.
He looks towards Jasper and nods, pulling him along towards the door. He steels himself, straightening before hefting his arm up with a tremendous effort and knocking upon the door. The commotion within stills, the conversion quieting as they all look toward sth door. The glance about, looking at the door in confusion once more as they see everyone in attendance already.
“Did someone invite a friend?”
Their head shake in denial at Mrs. Weasley’s question and she frowns. Bill strigahens and marches to the door, wand in hand, ready to defend them at a moment's notice, the others follow. Grabbing their wands and holding them tightly as they stare at the door. Bill gulps before whipping it open quickly, shoving his wand in the faces of the people on the other side, only to stumble back in shock. Gasps erupt among them all as they take in the sight before them, Harry. He smiles at them all, tightening his grip on Jasper's hand, tears flowing from his eyes as he looks at them all.
“I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. But I couldn't take it, couldn't do it. And I'm glad I ran, but I need your help. Please.”
His voice breaks and cracks, his breath stuttering in his chest as he sees them for the first time in six years. His friends, his family. Mrs. Weasley rushes to him, scooping him up in a bear hug and running her fingers through his hair.
“Oh Harry! Harry, Harry, my baby boy! You're safe, you're safe! Thank Merlin you're alright!”
More and more of them pile onto them, rushing to hug him, touch him, ensure he was actually there, actually alive in front of them. sobs, tears of joy rung out within the Burrow. And his smile widens as he takes in their souls, bright as daylight and rushing around madly, they would live for a long time. There was hope, true actual hope.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Their reunion had lasted all day and throughout the night. No talk of war, impending doom, or the past. Simply chatting about themselves and repeating how happy and glad they were that he was safe. He felt guilty for leaving them, leaving for so long. But he needed to heal, away from this place, away from everything. They had understood more than he had thought. Finally, with the sun rising and everyone rising alongside it, Harry looks at their faces, his bliss and happiness gone from his face.
“I need your help.”
“Anything. Tell us and we’ll do it, Harry," Hermione stands strong beside Ron and Harry smiles sadly at her.
“The humans know about us, they found out a month and a half ago now. The vampires are close to extinction if we don’t find a way to live, to survive the war coming. Somehow you all won’t be affected, I need help figuring out why. The Volturi has ancient magical wards around their castle, yet we will all die within six months if we don’t do anything. I need your help. Or my new family will die.”
They stare at him, straightening at the desperation in his voice.
“I'll go fetch McGonagall,” Harry stares at Mrs. Weasley as she jumps into action.
Hermione nods, “I'll go grab Vince.”
The rest nod and disperse quickly, going to fetch someone each. Harry stares at them all in shock and relief as he realizes how seriously they were taking this, how fast they jumped in to help. Those tears build up again, why had he stayed away for so long? He had missed them. And now he only came back for their help. What kind of friend, family member, was he?
Fred whaps him over the head softly, gently with a newspaper as he passes, “don't even think it Harry or you'll be our latest test subject! We know why you left and we understand it. Now chop chop! Time to get to work, you said it yourself! We don't have much time here.”
Harry smiles and clamps down on the sob that tries to escape him, he could do this, he would do this. And after everything is all said and done, he would revisit them and their relationship. Visiting as often as he could and making sure he never forgets that they were are his family. Forever, no matter what.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
McGonagall gave them access to the Hogwarts library, Vince had given them access to the Department of Mysteries, where Hermione now worked. Each and every person the Weasley’s brought in to help was invaluable, helping him such an inconceivable amount, he couldn't believe it. The Volturi even came in to help, rushing the process with their advanced speed and knowledge. Harry smiles brightly as he watches his two families merge and work together as one. His throat dries up and he swallows harshly, blinking back tears as he watches them all, loving filling his very being at the sight of them all.
Jasper's hard muscled arms wrap around him and he sighs, leaning into them as he does so. A gentle kiss is pressed to his neck, scarred beyond belief from the man behind him and Harry smiles. His hand twines into that curly blond hair and he smiles widely up at those gorgeous eyes.
“I love you, Jasper.”
The man smiles down at him in response, nuzzling his neck once more, laying a barely there kiss upon the scar, the very first, unmarred by any of the others, “I love you too, darlin.”
Chapter 4
WARNING - MENTIONS OF SUICIDE - NO MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH
Chapter Text
Bill lays wards upon wards around Volterra, centering on the castle. Harry frowns at his family’s souls, still decaying, rotting. He swallows harshly, they were lighter, brighter than before. It was as if they had only bought themselves time. He twines his fingers together, the fear worming its way into his heart. Jasper stands beside him, hugging him to his side as they watch.
“It’ll be okay, we’ll make it through.”
Harry shakes his head, “we only bought time. They still die this year, just a month later than they would have. It’s no use, whatever we do will get them all killed.”
Jasper's grip strengthens and the man turns Harry around to face him, “if they're going to die no matter what, then you need to find a way to make it as far from now as possible, buy more time, and figure out how to make it as peaceful and calm as possible. Not a slaughter. We can do this Harry, we will do this. Get out of your head! Look around, Harry. Do you want to lose your family? Fight. For you, for me, for them. They're going to die if you don’t do something, if you don’t fight for their lives.”
Harry gulps, tears filling his eyes, “this isn’t like before! I can see that nothing is working!”
“Then turn your powers off. ”
Harry inhales, staring up at jasper with wide eyes, “but what if-”
“It doesn't matter. Turn your sight off, Harry. If you fight better without it, then turn it off. We need you, Harry.”
Harry gulps staring at his family, at their rotting souls once more, before they flicker out of existence. He sighs as he takes in their forms without the rot for the first time in over a month, tension leaving him.
Jasper smiles down at him, “see? Now come on, darlin, we’ve got a war to win.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MENTIONS OF SUICIDE - SKIP TO NEXT LINE TO AVOID IT
The castle became a fortress, filled with vampires and wizards alike as they fight for survival. Weapons of all kinds lined the walls, discussions on battle strategies sung through the air as they prepare themselves for the war to come. Harry hadn’t used his sight ever since his discussion with Jasper, knowing it was better not to. The despair had dispersed, still there, but weighing less on him. None of Alice’s visions had changed, even with the vampires now working with the wizards. She still saw the same exact fate, as if this was doing absolutely nothing for them, as if just pushing the events back by a month, like the souls had told him when he was looking at them all.
He scans the crowds of people, so many he didn’t recognize, so many that would all die in just five months. He slowly slides to the floor against the wall, sitting there as he simply watches them all, taking them in. He closes his eyes, he needs out, he needs out. He stands abruptly, walking swiftly to the nearest exit. He needed air, fresh air. He passes vampires researching, wizards practicing battle magic, and groups of both mixing and mingling. He rushes past each and every one of them. The gasp that comes from him the second he leaves the castle is blissful. He exhales softly, slowing his pace as he walks to the rose bushes nearby before collapsing to his knees beside them.
His fingers graze those beautifully soft petals, twirling down the flower and to the stem, he hisses in surprise as a hidden thorn slashes his finger. He pulls his hand back and stares down at the shining red liquid upon himself, it calls to him, whispering gently, soothingly. He stares down at it, utterly fascinated, enchanted.
Come to me, join me, bleed, bleed, bleed.
Harry’s eyes glaze at the words, his hand moves without a thought, grasping his wand loosely in his hand.
“Diffindo,” the whisper is barely there, almost lost within the wind as he shreds his wrist. Staring at the blood leaving his body in wonder, the other wrist follows. He lays down, staring up at the sky with a soft smile. His eyes close, and his exhale leaves his body calmly, before he goes still, unmoving.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Master,” the whisper is soft, echoing in his ears as his eyes slowly peel open.
“Death,” his voice is just as soft as the deity’s as they stare at one another.
“You have not heard me for months, I have been trying to communicate with you but something is stopping our bond. This was the only way to speak with you.”
Harry nods, still simply staring at the deity. His friends would be taken by death so very soon, he would have to ask the deity to be kind to them when they arrive.
“I have the solution.”
Harry blinks, then blinks again. His mouth drops open as he stares up at the deity in awe. Why had he not thought to contact Death all these moths? The deity would obviously have an answer for them!
Death scowls, “whatever is blocking out bond also stopped you from thinking to communicate with me. There is something that is attacking you, attacking your mind without you even knowing it. I can make it so you will remember this conversation, but anything else? I can do nothing, that is all up to you.”
Harry gulps, something someone was messing with his mind. A glare forms on his face, vicious and terrifying in equal measure.
Death laughs, “I knew there was a reason I liked you! You and your kind will not fight in this coming war, rather you will run from it. Run far and fast, to where the mortal humans will be unable to follow. The wizards had already been planning a similar evacuation, but now it will be more precise, more efficient.”
Death holds his pale skeletal hand out to Harry, a dark gem within his grasp. Harry stares down at the whirling black smoke around it, sucking all the miniscule light near into itself.
“This will become a portal when you wish it to be, it will take you straight into another dimension. A brand new dimension. No other human-like creatures exist there, simply animals that can be used as food sources. You will make a home there, recultivate a culture and society together. You and your mate will live there for the rest of time, or as long as you wish to.”
Harry’s hands shake as he reaches for that gem, it's cold hard exterior chilling his skin.
“Be careful, master, and be fast. They only have five months left on that forsaken planet, you must leave before then. Earth will shatter and explode seven months after that. Get them out of this planet, leave as fast as you possibly can. The muggles as you call them will destroy it soon, too soon. And fix our bond while you're at it, yes? It's annoying having you kill yourself any time I need to speak with you.”
Harry nods, still staring at that stone. He flinches as freezing wind hits him, throwing him back harshly. He chokes, gasping and coughing as he’s flung back into his body.
“Harry! Darlin are you okay? Our bond, you were dead, I felt it, I felt you die!”
Harry grimaces, staring at the blood soaked Jasper with guilt. But his hand grazes that stone, and the brightest smile he had even shown at Volterra came to life. Those around him inhaled, shocked at the brightness, the utter happiness and relief pouring from the man lying in his own blood.
“I know how to save us. Death told me.”
They stare at him. No one moves, not even Harry himself as they look down at him.
“You died, darlin.”
Harry smiles sadly, wiping those black tears away from Jasper's face, “and I came back, just as I always will. We need to move and fast. Whatever we’re fighting against can stop even Death’s powers. We need to get out of here, as fast as we possibly can.”
Chapter 5
Notes:
Short chapter today with a bit of a cliff hanger lol 😘❤️🥰
Chapter Text
The message spread like wildfire, evacuation, their only answer. Their attention went straight to packing, looting everything they could. Books, treasure, heirlooms, anything important to anyone, they packed. Vampires and wizards alike ran from the castle, rushing home to grab anything they wanted to bring with them to their new home, their new dimension. Harry bites his lip as he watches, tugging on Jasper’s sleeve and nodding at them.
“Go find some tools for us to bring, wizards can build homes and the like easily, but the vampires might like some hammers for us to duplicate and hand out so they can help.”
Jasper smiles and nods, going out into the human world to find tools and any other supplies they may need to create a whole other world and home out of the wilderness. Harry smiles as he watches, holding the stone tightly in his hands. They would leave in a month, no more. They couldn't risk staying any longer than that. He sighs as he stares down at it, fix the bond Death had said, how was he supposed to fix something when he didn’t even know what was blocking it in the first place?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The day had come, vampires and wizards alike from all around the world were there in Volterra. Hundreds, thousands, millions. They would go in groups, packs as they entered their new world, or else it would take years for them all to leave. Harry sighs as he looks down at the stone in his hand, he gulps and looks back up. His eyes shine, darken, and then he sees. He inhales sharply at the shining souls of his family, he smiles brightly at them. His eyes close and the colors disappear. He looks down at the stone once more, before twisting it in his palm, watching as dark smoke of midnight black and shimmering purple escape, slowly twining into a large portal beside him.
He nods at the first people in line, watching as the vampires rush inside. Some of the guards join them to ensure they would act respectfully and ensure everyone’s safety. More and more people rush within, the entirety of the magical world was there. Harry watches them all go with his heart in his throat. Their hope, their new world, right in front of them. Finally, after days of waiting, it was just his family. He stares at them with tears in his eyes.
“Let's go home.”
They smile at him in response, taking a step towards the portal before stopping, staring at the gates of the castle. Harry’s breath catches at the sight, an army. He gulps, looking between it and his family, he straightens. His eyes glance towards the stone in his grasp, he smiles once more as it disappears. Straight into Alice’s bag slung across her shoulder. The army descends, right as the portal swoops over his family on the other end of the courtyard. Winking out of existence the moment the stone is taken by it. He stares at the oncoming army without blinking, looking at Isabella Swan with the most ferocious glare he could muster, before apartating.
He lands roughly, dizzy from the journey.
“See Char! I told you he would be here!”
He looks up from his spot, hunched over in the forest to stare at the two vampires in shock.
“Well hello, sugar. We’ve heard so much about you.”
His eyes go to the woman at her words, her scars gleaming in the sunlight. She gestures to herself with and the man beside her.
“I’m Charlotte, and this nitwit is Peter.”
Harry inhales in shock, staring at the two in disbelief, “what! Why didn't you go with the rest?”
Peter shrugs, “I'm like your Alice, I knew we needed to stay, so we did. I knew you would be here, so we came to find you. Now we just gotta make sure we all stay alive long enough to get to Jasper so he doesn’t end up finding his way back here just to kill us himself.”
Harry shudders, Jasper. He was all alone here now, even his mate in a completely different dimension than him. He was even without his bond to Death.
Peter grins at him, “come on! We’ll show you the bunker! I've been preparing this for a decade, never knew why, either, but here we are!”
Harry chews on his lip as he follows them, wondering just what he had gotten himself into.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The roar that echoed through the dimension caused shudders to run down the spines on everyone present. Millions of magical’s staring towards the sound in shock, terror. Some start running as fast as possible, rushing away from the sound as before it turned on them. The Volturi simply watched in muted disbelief as Jasper roared in rage, in sorrow. The blond falls to his knees, his sobs harsh and loud in the silence surrounding him. Another body falls to the ground, Hermione silently staring at the place Harry had been standing moments before, tears running down her face as she kneels there. A sob, separate from Jasper’s, erupts, Mrs. Weasley collapsing to the ground with the other two. More and more fall down in their grief, mourning the other man.
Alice’s eyes glaze, finally seeing a different future, a better one. She gulps and looks down at her bag, hands shaking as he grasps the stone in her hands. Holding it up to the light of day in this new world. Benjamin stares at it, just as she does. Their eyes meet, she shakes her head, tears flowing down her face.
“We can't get him back,” his words are only for her and she nods, devastation curling her face as she joins the rest on the ground, sobbing for all of this new dimension to see.
Chapter 6
Notes:
Chapter six! This one is interesting! Some characters finally show up again after they disappeared! I hope you all like it! 😘❤️🥰
Chapter Text
Life in a bunker was bleak, utterly boring and left Harry wondering for the future. Would he ever see his family again? Would his connection to Death ever be fixed? He sighs, head falling into his hands. Footsteps approach him from behind.
“Come on, sugar. Let’s go get you a snack, it’ll make you feel better.”
Harry smiles slightly, looking up at Charlotte gratefully, “thank you.”
“Think nothin of it, sugar.”
“No. Really, thank you. For staying behind.”
Charlotte grins at him, “what Peter says, we do. Unless it’s one of his stupid moments where he wants to torment some poor soul.”
Harry smiles back, standing up from his hunched position before following her to the pantry. His eyes widen at the amount of snacks before him, he gapes at her.
She shrugs, “we didn’t know why we put these here either. Our blood is stocked somewhere else.”
Harry nods, grabbing some Oreos in delight and happily munching on them.
She sighs and looks at him sadly, “I always did want to try those.”
He hums happily and slashes his wrist quickly, offering it to her. She gapes, staring at him in utter bewilderment.
He grins, “trust me. Just a lick will do.”
She stares at him for a moment longer before bending down, licking his wrist quickly before moving away.
A gasp escapes her, “wha-“
Her pale skin darkens slightly, showing off her southern tan as the red drains from her eyes. Freckles appear over her slim nose and those bright blue eyes widen as she stares at her hands, utterly fascinated. She inhales quickly, pressing a palm against her chest, her beating heart.
Harry grins at her, now offering her some Oreos. Her hand shakes as she reaches for one.
“Peter is going to be so jealous.”
Harry waves a hand dismissively, “he’ll get a turn later, now go on! Try one!”
She grins at him and yanks one out excitedly, moaning at the taste of it as she shoves it in her mouth. Harry laughs happily, almost collapsing to the floor as Peter enters the room, staring at Charlotte in complete bewilderment and awe.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They stay there for days, unproductive and simply chatting. Not worrying about the upcoming war.
Finally, after sitting in silence for far too long, Harry asks, “it’s time isn’t it?”
Peter tilts his head, “you’re right about that, Master! Time to plan!”
Harry scoffs, rolling his eyes at the title, “what are we gonna do? What’s the plan?”
Peter hums and shrugs, “just go with the flow. No feelings here. We just gotta do shit and hope for the best.”
Harry sighs and looks at the other two, “mind if we try something?”
They look at him curiously, “could one of you bite me?”
They stare at him in horror and he grins, “trust me, just do it. It’s like the blood thing.”
Charlotte nods and grabs his arm gently, her teeth easing through his skin like a hot knife through butter. His skin hardens, Charlotte sputters, jerking away as she watches his skin pale. They both stare at him in surprise, watching as he turns into a vampire easily.
He grins at them, that grin growing when he feels no warmth burning in his veins. That arousal only due to Jasper.
“Well,” Peter starts, “that certainly changes things.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Harry leaves the camp first. Tracking Bella before anything else. The spells all lead him directly to Washington D.C, he grimaces as he arrives at the office building he sees. She wasn’t in it, no, she was underneath it. His eyes follow his magic, flowing down the building and into an intricate system below. He finds her swiftly, he bites his lips, wondering how large the organization against magicals was. His eyes narrow and his skin reforms, becoming tanner, his features reform into something sharper, before finally, he disappears. His feet move quickly, unheard as he makes his way inside. Not a single soul notices him as he weaves in and out of them, too interested in their own lives to notice the invisible man in their midst.
His hidden eyes darken, and his eyebrows raise in shock as he sees their muted souls, decaying the closer he got to them. His grin is savage as he beholds the sight.
He follows the song of his magic, following it as he goes down and down and down into the building, below it. He hesitates before the locked door, refraining from touching it. He tilts his head and simply walks through it, as if he were a ghost. He grins, the Master of Death, indeed. He prowls along the hallways, looking into each room before continuing on. He hears her before he sees her.
Her loud voice grates on his ears, “oh Edward! I love you too!”
His eyes widen, no, it was impossible. The Cullens couldn’t possibly have…
He rounds the corner and stops dead. There they were, the Cullens. They had sold out their own kind for Edward, for a human. He stares at them all, shock running through him at the sight. How could they?
Edward shifts uncomfortably, too subtle for Bella to notice. Harry’s eyes whip to the vampire. His eyes sharpen as he takes in the black eyes, the stark black veins against his skin, the tag upon his neck. He was a slave, they all were.
Their eyes were all pitch black, baring signs of starvation. Each had a tag stuck inside their neck, jolting out from it. Harry almost gags at the sight. Dear Merlin, how long had they been kept here like this? He shifts of his feet and his eyes meet those of Rolalie’s. She stares at him, directly in the eye as she does so.
“Please,” her whisper echos in the blank, empty room and they all stop to stare at her.
“Oh, so you’re finally talking then?”
Harry stares at Rosalie, wondering how she knew he was there. He turns to look at Bella, he had to distract her somehow.
Rosalie smirks at the human, “why would I deign you with my voice, you little mortal slut?”
Bella screams in rage, her features sharpening to dangerous degrees as her eyes redden. Harry’s own eyes widen, what in Merlin’s name had happened to her?
He edges along the room towards Emmett, staring at that tag. Magic flowing through him as he examines it. A chemical was inside, one to keep them from snapping from starvation, another to keep them weak. He smirks, nothing was within the tag to kill them. He quickly nullified the chip inside of it with a sharp burst of magic, before ripping it out of the man with a violent yank.
Emmett roars in pain, hunching over before turning to snarl at Harry. He stops in confusion, seeing nothing. His hand raises to his neck and he pats wildly at it. The tag, it was gone, his smirk was vicious as he turned. Watching Bella pale at the sight of him unmarked by the tag. Rosalie screams in pain next to him and he whirls, staring at the two sparkling clean tags laying upon the floor.
Carlisle grunts, holding his neck tightly as his own is ripped away, cleaned, and then thrown to the floor. Their eyes travel to Esme as she stands there, straightening her spine. Her scream hurts them all, even Harry as he pulls the tag out. His eyes travel to Edward as he gulps, Harry takes one step, two.
A shout stops him.
“Who's there! I’ll kill you!”
Harry tilts his head and smiles at Bella, he moves to Edward, grasping the tag, and pulls.
The man moves before he even has time to scream, pouncing on Bella and taking her head up by her hair. Her scream reverberates through the room, more of a cell than anything as he snarls in her face.
“To think I ever thought you were my mate is laughable. You disgust me.”
She sobs, apologizing over and over as he pulls her to her feet and shoves her into the wall. She smashes into it roughly, choking on her own blood as it dribbles out of her mouth. Harry watches curiously as Edward smashes her into the wall over and over again, slamming his fists into her randomly.
“You kept us as slaves! Forced us to do your bidding! And you dare to ask, plead, beg for forgiveness? You deserve to rot in hell for all of eternity for what you did to us!”
A finale blow to her head snaps her fragile neck, her soul rushes from her body, trying to escape as quickly as possible. Harry grins and snatches it from the air. Holding it by his thumb and forefinger, and smiles and croons at it.
“Well hello there, little Bella. I’m sure you’ll be a tasty snack.”
The soul wriggles in his grasp, fighting with all its might to escape, to get away from him. His grin grows before he tilts his head back and opens his mouth. Lowering the chocolate brown soul into it slowly, enjoying its wriggling and muffed screeches. Finally he snaps his mouth shut, swallowing the soul in one go. He sighs, chocolate mousse, how delightful.
Happy (belated) Mother's Day! 😘
Chapter Text
The bunker was just big enough for eight people.
Harry looks at Peter in contemplation, “your feelings, you never truly know why you have them until it actually happens, do you?”
Peter shakes his head and grins, “nope! But it sure as hell does come in handy now, doesn’t it?”
Harry grins at the other man, “it really does.”
Harry watches as the Cullens settle inside quickly, sighing in relief at finally being free from the prison that had held them for so long.
Rosalie comes to stand beside him, “thank you, for not leaving us there I mean.”
Harry smiles softly at her in response, “I couldn’t leave you there. I know what it’s like to be kept prisoner. And you’re Jasper's family, no matter what happened in Forks, you’re still his family.”
She smiles at him, dark tears filling her eyes as she looks down at him, “we left you, I can never forgive myself for that.”
Harry grasps her hand in his own and looks at her softly, “Alice told you to leave. That was the best possible future for us according to her. I have to agree.”
Rosalie gulps, “we were taken five months ago. Bella had run to them last year, finally over her grief and was angry, wanting revenge. So she told them everything, even showed them proof. Next thing we know we were being hunted by special forces and pinned to the floor after they shot us with darts filled with chemicals that weakened us. We were there for five months straight. It was utter hell.”
Harry gulps as he listens, wondering just what kind of horrors they had faced in there.
She continues, unable to stop now that she had started, “they experimented on us. On her, that’s why she is the way she is. They changed her. They changed me. That’s why I saw you, whatever they did to me made me different, let me see the dead. I saw you, I thought you were dead before I noticed just how bright you were in comparison to the normal ghosts that surround that damned place. You were real and you were right in front of me.”
She shudders, “they almost killed Emmett. I felt our mating bond waver as they did whatever it was. He’s even stronger now, he could carry an entire city on his shoulders if he wanted to. And his instincts, he reacts to everything so fast now. He can attack someone and whirl out of the way of every single punch without even trying. He beat Edward in a fight last week. And Edward, Edward… he can control thoughts now. And turn his power on and off willingly. Just like flipping a switch, it comes to him naturally now.”
“Esme, well she…she reacted to the experiment the worst. Her screams,” a shudder runs down her spine, “animals flock to her now. Even with the natural fear of vampires, they stay far away from the rest of us, but Esme? They love her. As for Carlisle? He can control the human body. The blood, tissues, muscles, everything. They made him control the body, forcing him to experiment on live humans. That was a worse form of torture for him than the physical stuff.”
Harry gags at the thought, he would much rather be physically tortured than forced to torture another person. His eyes travel to the blond man hugging Esme tightly from behind and he grimaces. Such a kind, patient, and compassionate man, forced to torture and innocent for those people’s pleasure, for science.
“Bella giggled and smiled the entire time. Happy at our suffering. She deserved to live, for a long long time, being tortured for as long as she survived it.”
Harry tilts his head, searching for the soul inside of him, “I could put her soul in a golem’s body for you to torture if you’d like? I’d suggest waiting to do that until we can guarantee our safety though.”
Her eyes gleam madly, “I appreciate that, thank you.”
Harry nods, glancing back around the bunker at those around him. He would save them, get them to their new home, even if it took him decades. He clenches his teeth, eyes hardening, he needed to fix that damn bond. He needed to get out of here, get all of them out of here.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He runs, runs and runs, nonstop. He doesn’t even hesitate as he plows into a tree directly in front of him. His pursuers yell out in shock and stumble about the tree, losing precious seconds in their hunt. He grins savagely, sprinting at his top speed as he runs for his life. He doesn’t jump over the bush in front of him, simply sprints through it as if it didn’t exist. His feet pound against the earth and he laughs wildly as he reaches the end of their territory. The electrified field and chemicals finally end, allowing him to disappear with a pop.
He aparates all over, before finally appearing in the bunker.
“Did you get it?”
Harry grins at them, opening his hands to reveal the remote. They all grin sharply at it. They would have control of everything now, all of the fields and chemicals, were theirs.
“They don’t even know what I took, they just knew I was there and took chase!”
Laughter erupts among the others as they grin and cheer. Harry stares down at the remote in his hand and smiles proudly, he would destroy these people and he would enjoy it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alice shakes her head and sobs, “I can’t see him! Nothing past this dimension! It’s as if he never existed!”
Jasper states in front of him bleakly. His eyes glazed as he listens to the news, nothing new.
“He’ll make his way here, we have to believe in him,” Aro says, standing tall even as his face twists with grief.
Jasper knew he was alive, the mating bond was faint, so very faint, but still there.
They all disperse, going back to building their new city, their new castle. The vampires all collected in the east, wizards nearby in the north, werewolves, far west, Veela to the south, and other creatures in the middle. The middle a mixture of small groups of creatures, not enough to create their own city and system, or simply unwilling to. Wanting to mingle with the others, making a mixed city in the middle of it all. The ghouls, trolls, and other creatures ventured out far and wide, away from any of the main groups.
Jasper simply sits there beside Alice, both of them staring out at the tree line before them, as if waiting for Harry to appear in between them. He doesn’t, just like always.
Chapter Text
The remote had let them in, allowing for the slaughter before them. The government officials lay on the ground, choking on their own blood as they slowly suffocate. Their souls immediately fly to Harry, each and every single one of them devoured by him. No pity or guilt in his gaze as he swallows them all. Finally they stand in a field of death, surrounded by corpses of those humans that had been planning to exterminate them. Harry sighs as he turns away, the others following him as he leaves the battlefield. He feels nothing for the deaths, not an ounce of guilt for the blood on his hands.
They regroup at the bunker, planning their next attack, aiming for the Phoenix office building next.
“We come from the east, leave to the west. If we’re quick enough we can get out before they even know we’re there. Then we blow the damn thing up.”
Nods follow his statement as they sit on the small chairs along the walls.
“Let’s recuperate and relax tomorrow, we attack the day after, hard and fast.”
They smirk, waiting for the moment to ruin those bastard’s new base of control.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“RUN!”
His scream reverberates through the building as he shoves Emmett forward. Their speed is unmatched, but the numbers of these humans out paced them by far. They knew, they knew they would come. So stupid. Going after the most obvious target possible. What were they thinking?
He sprints after them all, keeping up easily as he watches their backs, taking the souls of anyone who comes near. Edward gasps at the front and staggers back, hundreds of soldiers swarmed them from the front.
Harry gulps and says the words that damn them, “to the south!”
They run, as fast as they can to the southern end of the building. Windows line the entire side, they don’t stop, don’t even hesitate. Edward blasts through the glass at breakneck speeds, sparkling shards fly everywhere as he dives out of the third story window, free falling the entire way. The rest follow, jumping and sprinting the moment they hit the ground.
The soldiers follow fast behind, their new and improved vehicles catching up quickly. Harry looks over his shoulder and curses wildly. They were gaining, and fast. He grunts as he aparates, staring at his family in front of him as he doesn’t move an inch. His eyes glance upwards, a new field, not even dazed by the remote within their grasp. They had figured out what they had stolen, and had nullified it.
He gulps, tears stinging his eyes as he orders, “keep south! Run as fast as you can manage! Don’t stop, no matter what you see, no matter what happens, do not stop running!”
His family does so, following his orders easily, only Charlotte and Peter understanding the utter despair and disaster waiting for them. They run and run and run, finally outmatching those vehicles as they have to stop to refill the gas tanks. They make the most of that small break, sprinting to the edge of Arizona, crossing into Mexico quickly.
The soldiers stop at the border, unable to go any further, or perhaps unwilling to go any further. They don’t stop, not for a second. They run as if their lives are at stake, and they are. Harry stiffens as a newborn launches at him. He whirls and rips the soul out of it immediately.
He aparates into the midst of his family, running alongside them. He couldn’t aparates all of them at once, and he refused to leave any of them behind to do one or two at a time. Not in this territory, not in the south. The only area in the world with vampires left within it, the only exception being his family. They keep running, only stopping when a redhead appears before them, an army flanking her on either side.
She tilts her head and smiles sweetly at them, “well well well, would you look at what the cat dragged in. Charlotte and Peter, it has been quite some time hasn’t it?” She purrs her question, eyes fluttering about their mismatched group in curiosity.
“And you, you reek of my Major.”
Harry snarls at her, “he is not yours.”
“Oh ho ho! Hit a nerve have I?”
Harry bares his teeth at her, hatred in his heart as he takes her in. Her red hair, red eyes, a beautiful visible, if not for the rage and malice clear in those ruby eyes.
“Grab them, keep them prisoner, if a single hair on their heads is hurt I’ll torture you all for eternity. I have plans for them.
She drags them to her base, her castle. Harry doesn’t fight it, he knows it would be useless, knows it would get them all killed instantly. He’s chained to the wall, the shackles holding even against his vampiric strength.
“Bring me the small one, the strawberry blond.”
Harry shudders as they rip Esme away from the wall, forcing her to her knees before Maria. That long fingered hand caresses Esme’s face, Carlisle fights his chains ferocity, rage like Harry had never before seen on the man’s face. He stares at Carlisle in mild terror, the man even more frightening than Jasper when Harry had first met him.
Maria smiles, utter joy and glee coating her features as she snaps Esme’s neck as if it was a pencil.
Something snaps inside of Harry. Something deep and dark within him. His eyes darken, those veins run along his skin starkly. Dark green, almost black venom runs from his mouth, coating his chin and neck. Maria’s eyes meet his own, her ruby ones widening at the demonic sight of him.
Master.
He gurgles amid the venom within his mouth as he hears, feels Death for the first time in months. Wings erupt from his back, that very same venom spraying the walls, his fangs lengthen, digging into his bottom lip as he grins ferally at the woman. Smoke swirls at his feet, the shackles release him, the very sky darkens. Despair, depression, utter hopelessness fills the room.
Master, Master, Master.
The word echoes from outside of the castle, dementors circling the southern palace, awaiting orders from their Master, from Harry. A demonic terrible grin takes over his face as he stares at those eyes, those disgusting eyes.
“Take them all. Every last one of them.”
His voice whispers, tongue curling oddly as the sentence leaves his mouth. The language not of this world, but the dementors understand every bit of it. They swarm the castle, feeding on the souls within. The screams of utter terror reverberating through him. The terrifying grin stays of his face as he stalks towards her, twisting his wrist sharply. Undoing those shackles and healing Emse’s twisted neck in one flick. Maria gulps and whirls, attempting to run, only to stagger back as Harry appears in front of her. He grasps her from her neck, holding her just above the floor, her feet kicking at the air wildly.
He smiles at her angelically, and then kisses her. She freezes and doesn’t move even after he removes his mouth from hers. Her prone body falls to the floor soundly. She stays there for a moment, and then convulses, non stop shaking and choking. Harry smiles down at her, watching as her venom leaks out from her nose, ears, mouth, eyes. Her scream fills him with ecstasy as he listens to the melody. She stills after a long long while, her soul slowly weaves its way from her body. Harry smiles once more as he plucks it from the air and swallows it, savoring the spicy taste of barbecue as he does so. He straightens as he looks down at her broken body, smug with the knowledge that she had spent the last moments of her life reliving every single painful memory, at last understanding the pain she had inflicted on her victims.
His eyes meet those of the spectators, not a single speck of judgment amongst them as they nod at him, he smiles.
“Let’s go home.”
And they do, Harry knowing that soon, very soon, he would be able to share the information he had learned today with the man who would care the most.
Maria’s soul was as blackened as her heart, he grins in joy as he realizes how close he was to telling Jasper, to seeing Jasper.

Chapter Text
The next night a black stone appears upon his pillow, he sighs and melts into the mattress. Tears flow down his face as he sobs in relief. They could leave. They could finally leave. He stares at the stone and sobs, sobs as he finally sees his way home before him. The others find him there, sobbing his heart out at the sight of a simple stone. The confusion and concern alight their faces before they glance at one another. His face turns, looking up at them all as a soft smile alights his face.
“We have some work to do. Trust me, even as odd as this may sound, we need to do it.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They gather around Harry at nightfall, each with the supplies he had asked for. He smiles at them all, twisting the stone in his hand and grinning wildly at the gasps that follow. The portal whirls wildly before rushing at them. Harry’s eyes close as it surrounds him, his feet hit the ground harshly and he grunts at the impact. He gapes at the sight around him, staring at the castle in awe, Volterra. He falls to his knees and sobs once more. They had made it, they were home.
Vampires sprint out from within the castle and gape at the sight of them.
“Howdy y’all!”
They simply stare at Peter, bewildered at his presence, at their presence.
“Sorry to keep you waiting! Some bastards delayed us a bit!”
Those gathered around stare at them in horror, eyes on the terrifying creatures hovering before them. Their long cloaks covering the hideous sight beneath them as the dementors circle the group that had appeared before them. Harry sighs, tension draining from him at the sight of his people, the people he had risked so much for. A smile slowly crawls onto his face as he looks at them, he was home.
A vampire chokes and staggers as he’s shoved aside, Alice sprinting directly at them.
“HARRY!”
She tackles him to the floor, sobbing as they cling to one another. They both grunt as they’re yanked up and hugged against a cold hard body. Harry’s body melts into that embrace entirely, Jasper.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The construction of the new dimension had progressed farther than Harry could have ever imagined. New Volterra was eerily similar to the old version in Italy. Harry had sighed and rolled his eyes when he had heard the name. Vampires could never truly change, could they? The castle was underway, almost the entire building erected, helped along by the fact that vampires didn’t need to sleep.
Harry smiles as he watches Esme calm the animals they had brought along. Chickens, cows, pigs, sheep, and whatever else she could grab from the nearest farms before they left earth. He didn’t know what food sources would be in this new dimension, it would be nice to have familiar food for while they adjust. Wizards rush to help create simple pens for the animals and Harry grins as he watches them work. Never before had vampires and wizards worked together so easily, even during the research for the war it had been tense between the two groups, wary glances exchanged. But now? These two groups flourished beside one another.
His gaze shifted towards Peter, the blood bags piled near him in crates bringing the vampire's focus to him. Harry smirks at the crates, that would not even last a week among the vampires here. His eyes met Hemione’s and her smirk echoes his own as he holds another bag up. They would find a way to synthesize human blood, then the vampires could live off of that for the rest of eternity on this new planet. He laughs as she grabs the blood from him and rushes off in excitement.
Those that had been left behind, the ghosts, now floated freely within the new dimension, showing their gratitude to Rosalie before disappearing into the crowds, searching for new places to haunt.
Harry watches it all happily, knowing he was finally with his people, his friends, his family, his home.
“It’s all because of you, you know?”
Harry glances up at Jasper in confusion and the man smiles gently down at him. Those red eyes soften and he leans down, kissing the top of Harry’s nose.
“You’re the reason we’re all here, Harry. You…you closed that portal before anyone else could get through. You saved all of us.”
Harry stares up at Jasper, hearing the blond's voice crack in the middle of his words.
“I didn’t want to leave you.”
Jasper gulps harshly, tears welling in his eyes as he nods, “I know. I know you didn’t. It was so hard, Harry. I could barely feel you, it was like you were dead. ”
The man shudders and Harry’s heart breaks to see just what suffering he had caused the man he loved with his entire being.
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. I couldn’t do anything else. My bond with death had been blocked. It took me dying just to get that first stone. Then over a month for me to shatter the restraints on the bond to get another.”
Jasper's head whips over to look at him, “your bond with death…had been blocked?”
Harry nods solemnly, “they had done such a thorough job that I didn’t even think to summon the deity for help.”
Jasper gulps once more, “who…?”
“Bella, it was Bella. I can tell you the story later, but for now, for now I just want to relax. This last month has been hell. I need to see everyone, know that it was all worth it. I can explain tonight, after we enjoy each other and the company around us.”
Jasper sighs and nods, a slight smile on his face as he looks down at those brilliant emerald eyes.
“I’ll give you a tour. Come on, you’ll love the wizarding district!”
Harry gives the blond a shining grin as he grasps that large hand in his own and follows him, alight with the knowledge that he was free, completely wholly free.
Chapter 10
Notes:
This chapter is almost all smut and I am not sorry.
Chapter Text
Harry laughs wholeheartedly as he leans into Jasper's side, the blond himself laughing at the twins.
Hermione scoffs and rolls her eyes, “honestly you two! Will you ever mature?”
Fred grins at her wildly, “if you really think that's a possibility, Granger, then you definitely need a reality check. Isn't that right, brother dearest?”
Geroge tilts his head back and laughs, “yes, yes indeed, oh brother of mine!”
Harry laughs, curling into himself as tears leak from his eyes as the twins give chase.
“Run, Mione, run!”
Jasper shakes as Harry chokes out the words as the bushy haired brunette runs for her life from the demon twins.
“She’s going to kill them,” Jasper whispers in his ear.
Harry grins at him in response, “oh absolutely! And then they’ll retaliate even worse than this and it’ll turn into a full out war before they finally call a truce.”
Jasper's eyes twinkle in amusement as he looks at Harry, “until they do this again?”
Harry nods, grinning at the man, “see? You’ll fit right in!”
Jasper shakes his head with a grin, watching the chaos unfold around him happily. His eyes track Hermione as he runs away from the twins, dodging spells and potions easily, before finally one strikes true. Her shriek reverberates through the yard as she transforms into a bright pink cat hybrid.
“Just like second year, right Mione?”
Her furious eyes lock onto Ron’s, the red head paling rapidly as she approaches. His feet pound against the squishy dirt below him as he sprints away from his terrifying fiance. A demonic smile curls her lips as she gives chase, laughter falling from her mouth as he screeches. Harry smiles and leans against Jasper as they watch.
His eyes glance up to meet the blond’s and he smiles, “ready for a new beginning?”
Jasper’s smile is oh so very gentle as he answers, “I've been ready and waiting for this day, darlin, trust me.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
His feet pound against the dirt with thudding steps that catapult the oddly textured dirt behind him. He pants out a breath as he pushes himself even further, needing to get away. He turns his head, eyes darting behind him quickly and a gasp escapes his mouth. He was gaining, quickly, too quickly. Harry twists his head back around, biting his lip and grimaces as he attempts to run even faster.
A deadly laugh rumbles out of the man behind him, “you'll never make it in time.”
Harry glares into the distance, his face turning stony as he runs, his gleaming white skin slowly shifting back into his human form. His face reddens, his heart stuttering in his chest as he stumbles. Another laugh echoes throughout the dark forest.
“Well, well, well, look what I caught. A little rabbit, trembling in fear at the sight of me.”
Harry's lip trembles even as he glances up at the man before him, scrambling away on his hands and knees as fast as he could. A cruel smirk alights that terrifying face as the vampire infront of him leans down, shoving his face into Harry's own.
“You know our agreement, little rabbit. I catch you, I do as I wish to you. What do you say, my rabbit? Shall you strip down to nothing for me?”
A snarl rips out of Harry’s throat, “go to hell.”
Harry shivers at the venom coating the laughter seeping from the vampire's bones and a large, stone cold hand wraps around his throat.
“We both know you’ll meet me at the gates, Darlin, don't fool yourself.”
His sneer holds all of the hatred that he could possibly muster as he looks up at Jasper, “don't you dare act like I'm anywhere near as terrible as you are!”
A sweet little smile curves Jasper's face as he tilts his head, “oh? You are not as bad as I am? The man who ravaged the human world so drastically that the planet collapsed not a week after he left? The man who has the blood of thousands of mortals upon his hands? The man who devoured more souls than he can count? You truly believe you are not as bad as I? Take a long look in the mirror darlin, and you’ll see the truth written there as clear as day.”
Harry gulps as he stares up at those gleaming ruby eyes as they sparkle madly. Another shiver runs up his spine as he watches those fangs catch the light, glittering threateningly in his direction.
“Now, do as I say, darlin. You know you want to.”
Harry blushes as the words echo in his ears, he did. He wanted to, needed to. It had been so long since either of them had one another so wholly, so completely. He licks his lips as he contemplates fighting further, lengthening their game, making Jasper fight for his submission. He smiles up at the man sweetly as he runs his fingers along the buttons on his shirt, popping them open slowly as he goes. His eyes drop to the bulge in Jasper’s jeans, the prominent shape causing shivers to run up and down his spine as he stares at it. Another sharp laugh rips his attention away from it as he looks up at Jasper's face.
“You’re so needy and desperate, it's amusing, really.”
His blush travels to his ears and neck, going so far as to reach his navel. Jasper's eyes track its progression, his smirk growing every second.
“Go on darlin, do as I tell you, before I make you.”
Harry shudders as he finally, finally, removes his shirt. His trousers and pants follow swiftly, the strip teases over now, desperation taking its place as he stares up at Jasper from his place on the ground, utterly naked before the man. The man simply continues to smirk at him, a hand slowly descending to fondle himself through his jeans. Harry shifts as he watches, feeling his own hard aching dick twitch against his thigh. Jasper's lip twitches in amusement as he watches. Slowly, ever so slowly, the man lowers his zipper, the sound echoing through the silent clearing as he does so. Harry’s eyes never leave the sight. He gulps as Jasper removes his member, stroking it slowly as he stares at those shining green eyes below him. A whimper escapes Harry as he kneels in the dirt, staring uselessly at Jasper.
“Look at you down there, utterly helpless and desperate for attention. I wonder how long I can keep you there before you break and end up cumming all over yourself just from the sight of me stroking my cock.”
Harry’s eyes roll up into his skull at the words, a moan ripping its way out of his throat as he shivers. Jasper just laughs, tilting his head up to the sky as his hand speeds up. Their eyes meet once more as he lowers it again, his red eyes gleaming wickedly as he looks down at Harry.
“Open.”
His eyes widen at the command, face bright red as he follows the order. Staring at Jasper’s cock, utterly entranced as the man shoves it into his face. His hand moving rapidly now, Jasper’s composure falters as a groan leaves his lips. A gasp follows as Harry inhales sharply, feeling liquid running down his cheek. The next spray lands right atop his tongue and he gulps it down rapidly. A low, long growl leaves Jasper’s mouth as he paints Harry's face as if it's his very own masterpiece.
Breathing labored, the vampire steps away, staring at Harry’s cum covered face in satisfaction.
“Clean yourself up, or you’ll have to walk back home covered in my cum for everyone to see.”
Harry gulps as his blush somehow brightens even further. He swiftly runs a finger along his face, scooping as much of it off as he possibly could before sucking it down.
“Good boy.”
Harry shudders, biting his lip before continuing his task. Jasper takes his neck in his hand once more as he watches. A smile takes up his face as he sees the very last drop disappear into Harry’s awaiting mouth. His grip tightens as he leans down, mashing their lips together in a heated kiss. Tongue and teeth clash together, Harry moans as his back hits the ground harshly. Jasper growls into his mouth as he bites Harry's lip, licking the blood up and moaning at the taste. Euphoria hits Harry, his back arches as the venom flows through his veins once more. His hands rip at Jasper's clothing, shredding them apart easily as the vampiric strength returns. Hand still at his throat, Jasper yanks both of his hands away and pins them to the ground above Harry’s head.
“We do this at my pace, or not at all. Got it, darlin?”
Harry whimpers, tears stinging his eyes as he nods rapidly. Jasper grins down at him sharply in return.
“There we go, now keep your hands there or you wont get any satisfaction tonight.”
Harry nods, applying a rapid sticking charm to his hands as he does so. His eyes roll into his skull as that talented tongue wraps around his nipple. A loud cry escapes from between his parted lips as the sharp pain of teeth piercing his skin reaches his senses. Jasper simply grins up at him, eyes and lips gleaming red from Harry’s blood. He simply stares as Jasper continues his pursuit, licking and biting as he goes, leaving a trail of saliva and blood in his wake.
He strikes hard and fast, enveloping Harry’s cock in warm wet heat as he swallows him down in one go. His scream echoes far and wide, the bird-like creatures of the new world erupting into flight in response. His release is quick, immediate at Jasper's sudden attack. His gaze is blank, unseeing as he stares up at the canopy of leaves above him. Not even moving as Jasper’s face appears before his sight, not even as those long fingers pry his mouth open. He only blinks once those lips cover his own, finally responding, only to widen and a moan coating their lips as he arches. Jasper hadn’t swallowed.
Harry arches as his own release flows between their lips and Jasper slowly backs away to whisper, “swallow, darlin.”
Harry shudders as he does so and Jasper smiles gently down at him, running his fingers softly down Harry’s face as he does so.
“You did amazing, darlin.”
Harry smiles tiredly up at him even as his eyes flutter shut.
“Go to sleep darlin, I'll watch over you, I promise.”
Harry hums as his eyes fall shut, murmuring quietly as he falls asleep, “I love you.”
“I love you too, darlin,” Jasper's whispered words go unheard as Harry falls into blissful sleep underneath the man. The blond simply smiles, tucking his arms around the wizard and cuddling in close to him.
“I always will, forever and always, darlin. Even after this world ends like our last had.”
Chapter Text
Harry sighs, staring up at the brightest blue he had ever seen before. His body sinks into the ground, almost fully encompassing him in its pillowy softness.
“There you are, darlin.”
He smiles glowingly up at Jasper, staring into those red eyes, free from all enchantments.
“I love your eyes, you know.”
The blond laughs softly, “so you've said about a million times by now, darlin.”
“Well it's true! Can’t I be appreciative of my mate?”
Jasper smiles as he sits beside Harry, bending over to kiss his lips softly, “I'm not complaining, doll. Just pointing out the obvious.”
His giggle escapes before he can even think of holding it back, not that he would have anyways.
“What are you doin’ out here all by your lonesome anyways? Don't you want to be with everyone after not seeing ‘em in so long?”
Harry sighs, looking back up at the nearly neon blue sky, watching as odd bird-like creatures fly above, “that's the thing. After being trapped in a bare safehouse underground for months on end, everything is overwhelming. We only left the bunker for raids, I haven't been around that many people without killing them all in so long. I’m just not used to it anymore.”
Jasper lays beside him, one muscled arm encompassing him as he does so, “you don't have to explain yourself to me darlin. We’ll stay here for as long as you need, just say the word and I’ll do whatever you need me to.”
Harry exhales slowly, scooching even closer to the man before resting his head on that still chest, “this is why I love you.”
“And here I thought you only liked me for my good looks.”
Harry giggles, looking up at Jasper through his lashes as he replies, “that too.”
Huffing jasper turns his head to look at the wizard next to him, “I see how it is.”
“Good!”
Jasper lets out a loud laugh at that, “my own mate! Only loving me for my looks! Oh the betrayal! My poor heart!”
Harry’s giggles reach a higher than ever pitch as he rolls on top of the vampire.
“Oh hush you drama king!”
Jasper smirks at him and rolls them over, laughing at Harry’s shriek, “drama king? Me? Who just screamed so loud our old world could hear it?”
Laughing, Harry smacks Jasper's chest lightly, “let me up, you heathen!”
“Hmmm, you know, I don't think I will!”
Tilting his head, Jasper runs his fingers along Harry's side as the wizard stills.
Staring up at him with wide eyes, Harry whispers, “you wouldn't.”
His only answer is a demonic smirk as Jasper's fingers move rapidly along Harry's ribs. A long echoing scream erupts from his mate as a stream of giggles quickly follows. Sitting on Harry spirit form fully, Jasper continues tickling Harry even as he tries to push Jasper off.
“I give! I give!”
Jasper laughs as he leans back, staring at the beautifully red face below him as Harry catches his breath. Glaring up at him, Harry pouts, his hair ruffled even further with his clothes in chaos.
Leaning in, Jasper presses a gentle kiss to Harry's sweet red lips as he whispers, “I love you.”
A gorgeous smile is his response as Harry replies, “I love you too, Jasper.”
Resting his forehead against his mate’s, Jasper sighs as all the tension within him melts away.
“Having you again is like breathing after a century without air. I was lost without you, harry. I had no use, no purpose. Every day I tried getting back to you, each time it was useless and every time I came back more and more hopeless. I thought I would never see you again, Harry. You cannot imagine my relief when you appeared.”
Harry smiles up at Jasper wetly, “I can. Because I felt the same way. Except I had a purpose. To get back to you. The second I saw you everything else left. Nothing mattered except for being in your arms and never letting go again. I don't think I could ever handle being without you again.”
Midnight black tears meld with crystal clear ones as Jasper leans down for another kiss, this one longer and deeper. Staring deep into those red eyes, Harry smiles and runs his fingers through that blond hair gently.
“You are my ending and beginning Jasper Whitlock, I began living only when I met you and I will only end when you do. My soul is yours Jasper, the second you wish for Death I will call upon it and let it take us both to its realm. I will forever be empty and half of a whole without you.”
More tears flow from those red eyes as Jasper smiles wetly down at him, “my life changed the second you stepped foot in it, darlin. You gave me emotions, your presence was like taking a breath of fresh air after a century of polluted lungs. You stripped my eyes of the tinted glasses over them, you let me see just what I had been missing the entire time. You brought light into my life, your smile brightens up the very room you are in. Your aura brings me hope, fills me with love. You, my darlin, are the epicenter of my life, of my world. Without you, there is nothing. I knew what I had with you, darlin. I just never knew how easy it was to lose that. I thought we had longer together, more time before we were ever separated. Losing you has made me realize I can’t waste any more time.”
Harry’s tears flow freely even as his eyebrows furrow in confusion as Jasper leans up, away from him. Jasper raises himself onto a single knee above Harry, smiling down at the wizard even as his face is stained black from his never ending tears.
“Harry James Potter, my mate, the love of my life. We are already bound by blood, heart and soul, but would you do me the everlasting honor of marrying me?”
Harry chokes, a sob caught in his throat as Jasper holds out a ring in between them. Covering his mouth with a hand, Harry sobs harder as he stares at the ring before him. The gold band is slim, leaves sprouting on either side of the gem with tiny diamonds beside them. Hands shaking, Harry leans closer, looking at the clear crystal filled with mossy green lines carved into a teardrop. His own tears fall onto the stone as he looks back up at Jasper.
“Yes. Forever and always my answer will be yes.”
Jasper laughs quietly as he grasps the ring between his fingers gently, easing it onto Harry's finger slowly, immersing himself in that moment. Holding that hand within his own, Jasper smiles, staring deep into those enchanting eyes he had fallen in love with years ago. Raising his other hand, he rests it on Harry’s cheek, leaning in slowly to kiss the wizard.
“I love you,” his whisper is soft, gentle against Harry's lips.
“I love you too, Jasper, for the rest of eternity and beyond.”
Notes:
Are you crying? Because I'm sobbing.
I know this is far shorter than "The God of War's Master" but I think this is a good place for it to end. I love this story to death but I can admit needing a break from it. I'd absolutely love to continue this at some point and have Jasper and Harry get married but that will definitely have to be another part. I feel like this sequel was a bit rushed and I may end up re-reading it at some point to see if I want to lengthen it, but for now I will be leaving this series as is.
Please feel free to subscribe to this story or even the series If you'd like updates on the third part! And please do not hesitate on commenting your thoughts, opinions, and even ideas on the story and of how I could continue this!
Thank you all sooo so so much for your support as I write these two works! You all are the reason I enjoy writing and spend hours upon hours working on these! Each and every one of you bring me joy and I appreciate you so much! These are my first ever works that became full on chapter novellas and that is all because of you! If not for your support and the huge following these gained I would have surely made "The God of War's Master" into at most 5 chapters. Thank you all for your motivation and love. I can't possibly even attempt to explain how much it truly means to me!
Thank you again, and for now, I will be saying goodbye to The God of War and his Master. I do not know when I will revisit them, but stay tuned. It may just be sooner rather than later. ❤️
I love you all.
😘❤️🥰
