Hoseok takes pride in hiding his emotions. He is one of those people who can mask their emotions at any kind of situation. Hoseok was only 7 years old when his parent's was brutally killed infront of him. Hoseok didn’t shed a single tears, he didn’t spoke a word seeing his parent's in that kind of situation.
Hoseok had mask his emotions so well, everyone thought the latte hated his parent's as much as everyone else in the kingdom.
Hoseok was so good at mask his emotions at any kind of situation, be it someone dead, someone execution or someone misery.
Hoseok was always good at that.
Hoseok is good very good at hiding his emotions but when it comes to the man he oh so madly in love with, the man who own hoseok's heart, his soul, his body, his everything. When it comes to the man hoseok is ready to sacrifice his everything, he can't quite mask his emotions anymore.
When it comes to hoseok's king—his yoongi, Hoseok can't fake his emotion, he can't control himself, his anger, his sadness.
Hoseok spent years trying to achieve his this quality but when it comes to one Min Yoongi hoseok can't seems to use his ability.
So when hoseok gets the news of yoongi's sudden suppose fiance coming into the palace, hoseok can't control himself nor his emotions.
When hoseok first heard the news of a new guest arriving at the palace, he didn’t thought much of it. Yoongi is a king and he has lots of acquaintance, friends traders who come to visit him every once in a while. So hoseok didn’t paid much attention on the arrival of wingspan kingdom prince park jimin and his personal servant jeon jungkook.
Hoseok had thought they were another people who wanted to bond a friendship with king yoongi. In absence of yoongi who went to a camp to check and make strategy for the betterment of Ying-Hua hoseok made sure prince park jimin, his personal servant jeon jungkook and all the guards that came with them get a royal treatment.
Never in hoseok's million dream had he thought that he welcomed his own damn competition in this palace.
It was a no secret that royal adviser Jung hoseok and King Min yoongi were in love with eachother and planned to get married as soon as the king desire it to be.
So to say hoseok was surprised to hear, yoongi had a fiance would be an understatement. Hoseok knew yoongi for little over five years now. They have been together for four year's now. The people of Ying-Hua knew about them, yoongi was never ashamed of his sexuality or the man he is in love with.
The people of Ying-Hua loves hoseok, they adore their adviser and future queen who always show their king the right path to rule.
So in absence of yoongi, when his supposed fiance came into the palace, it made hoseok's world turned upside down. He doesn’t know what to do, what to feel. His emotions has been all over the place. He doesn’t know how should he react to this information.
How could yoongi lie to him? Why did yoongi never mention about park jimin? Why did yoongi confessed his loves to hoseok when he already had someone waiting for him? Why? Why? Why?
"Advisor Jung you there?" hoseok came out of his trance when he heard park Jimin calling his name, the prince face filled with concern.
"Y–yes Prince Jimin—" hoseok started, he looked at the prince infront of him. Park Jimin didn’t look older than 19 years, he is beautiful–his feminine body, the way he carry himself, his eyes, his personality everything scream royalty and power. Park jimin was beautiful exactly yoongi's type.
Hoseok heart sink down, stomach twisting uncomfortably.
"–i am sorry, i didn’t quite heard you earlier. Can you repeat yourself?" hoseok ask as politely as he could. Jimin gave him a kind smile, a kind of smile where his eyes disappeared and made him look like a marshmallow.
"Ah of course adviser Jung. I was saying when will King Yoongi return? My father wants to know when should he start our wedding preparation " jimin say's, his eyes sparkling with happiness. A lump form into hoseok's throat as the sound of his heart breaking was very loud in his ear. Hoseok's eyes started to burn. The polite smile he tried to show was completely gone as his face lost all it’s charm.
"I–i think you are mistaken a little bit prince jimin—" hoseok started, he can't allow this new comer take away what's his. He can't let this man take away his yoongi from him. Yoongi loves him and him only, yoongi promised to marry hoseok. He promised hoseok that hoseok is the only one in his life.
Hoseok is his first love, his first kiss, his first romantic hug, his first sex everything. So now hearing jimin saying this out of nowhere was making hoseok's mind a mess.
"–yoongi–he and i... We are dating. We have been together for four years now. Yoongi he is mine " hoseok say's, he watched the way jimin face didn’t change a one bit with this information. He looked like before, he smiled like before and he even dared to laugh a little bit. Hoseok was confused.
Why wasn’t jimin acting shock? Why is he not showing any kind of discomfort or anything?
"Wh–why are you laughing? " hoseok ask, not understanding what's so funny?
"Oh my bad adviser Jung. I am sorry for laughing, it was very inappropriate of me—" jimin flashed one of his smile, this one was a little wicked "–actually adviser Jung i know about you and yoongi. I know how everyone thinks you two are in love and is about to get married and blah blah all those bullshit "
Hoseok felt his blood boil at jimin tone and the way he is making fun of hoseok and yoongi's love. Who the fuck jimin thinks he is?
"Excuse me?" hoseok say's, his tone irritated.
"Listen Here adviser Jung—" suddenly the kindness hoseok felt from park jimin disappeared, the atmosphere around them getting heavier and tense "–i don’t give a shit about your so called love story. Yoongi is supposed to be mine even before he became a King. Our parent's has fixed our marriage to form a strong bond between two kingdom and i have been waiting my entire life to marry the love of my life so if you think just because you and he is in love with eachother, i will leave him. Then you are wrong. I am here to take what's mine and yoongi is mine. This kingdom is mine. I am destined to be Queen of Ying-Hua not a orphan and low class bitch like you!"
Hoseok stare at the man infront of him with wide eyes, he can't believe what he is hearing. Is this the same man hoseok meet just few hours ago?
"You are ready to stay with him even tho you know he doesn’t love you?"
"Yes! He will eventually learn to love me. No one can resist my charm " jimin smirked at hoseok, he walked near hoseok, hoseok didn’t back away, he stayed still in his place. He is not someone to be afraid by anything especially by someone like park jimin.
Jimin looked at hoseok with eyes full of fire.
"You can stay at the palace as his side piece but I will be his Queen " hoseok jaw clutched, he curl his hands into fist. His eyes darken as he stare at jimin walking away from the room.
"No one can take my yoongi away from me—" hoseok gritted out, his words lease with venom "–don't force me to go back into my past self park jimin. Trust me you won't like to see the real Jung Hoseok and what he is capable of doing "

Hoseok stare outside at his garden, he was standing near his window in his room. His mind replaying the conversation he had with jimin over and over again. He never in his wildest dream had he thought about jimin being this dangerous or mean. At first glance hoseok thought jimin would be an angel, someone who is kind and think about people betterment but hoseok was proved wrong. Maybe this is why they tell not to judge a book by It's cover.
It was a small mistake from hoseok's side to believe jimin act and made a assumption about his character. But hoseok now knows better, he knows exactly what kind of man jimin is. He is not right for yoongi. No hoseok is not saying this because he is in /love/ with yoongi, he is saying this Because it’s the truth.
Yoongi doesn’t allow this kind of man anywhere in his life. Yoongi is a kind, brave and a successful king. He always make sure his people are happy with him. He never torture them, doesn’t ask for extra tax and help anyone who comes to him with complaints.
In short yoongi is a great king and he deserve a equally great Queen not someone like park jimin who is full of himself.
Hoseok won't allow jimin anywhere near his king or his kingdom. If it’s means hoseok needs to bring back his past self which he left behind for his yoongi then so be it. Hoseok knows when he needs to be cruel. He knows how to handle people like Park jimin, being an ex assassin hoseok had dealt with many people like Park jimin in his life.
Removing Park Jimin from his palace and hoseok's life is not a big of task for hoseok but he wont do anything
no not yet.
He will wait for yoongi's return, yoongi will return in next 10 day's anyway. Hoseok needs answer from yoongi. He wont say he is angry rather he is hurt that yoongi will hide something this important from hoseok. Prince and Princess already being betrothed wasn’t an uncommon scenario in royal family.
And it's also not uncommon for those same Prince and Princess to fall in love with someone else break the agreement their Parents has made even before they were born.
Yoongi is a king. He can sent jimin back to his kingdom without any resistance. Yoongi's father former king young-sho was never liked by the citizen, he was a cruel man who was killed by his own people at a rebellion. Hoseok and yoongi were a part of that rebellion too. So to think yoongi will actually go with this stupid arrange marriage his good for nothing father has fixed is a big joke to hoseok.
Hoseok knows yoongi loves him a lot. Yoongi never forget to declare his love for hoseok infront of their subject. Hoseok knows yoongi will choose him no matter what so he is not really insecure. He is–he is just jealous that's it.
He is jealous that someone else has the audacity to think about having his yoongi, loving his yoongi and being loved by his yoongi.
Hoseok can sacrifice his everything for his yoongi. Hoseok loves yoongi, he loves yoongi more than love itself. He loves yoongi like there's no tomorrow. He loves yoongi like he needs yoongi just to stay alive. Yoongi and his love is like oxygen for hoseok. He can't Imagine his life without Yoongi.
And hoseok wont allow park jimin to take that away from him.
"Hope?" Hoseok looked behind him when he heard his formal assassin name being called by his fellow ex assassin companion. Hoseok sighed when he saw taehyung looking at him with eyes full of hesitation.
Kim taehyung was hoseok's formal assassin companion. He and taehyung who used to be known as V back then worked together all their life. They were childhood best friend and each other shield in danger. They were are always ready to die for each other.
When taehyung and Hoseok first got the task to kill then crown prince Min yoongi none of them thought they would end up falling in love while trying to kill. Hoseok fall in love with Min yoongi, his target while taehyung fall in love with yoongi's general Kim Namjoon.
Both best friend couldn’t find it in themselves to kill the person they love so they aborted the mission. But before they could tell yoongi the truth, yoongi and namjoon had found out about them. To say both namjoon and yoongi were heartbroken and Furious would be understatement. They were so betrayed by hoseok and taehyung that they had even refused to see their faces.
They were kind enough to let them both go without any punishment maybe because they also couldn’t bring it in themselves to kill the man's they were in love much like hoseok and taehyung.
That time hoseok and taehyung thought they would never see the love of their life in this life ever again but fate was on their side and now here they were after four year's, living together with the love of their life.
"Are you okay hyung? " taehyung ask, his eyes caution as if he is afraid to say something wrong and hurt hoseok more than he already is.
Hoseok sighed, he gesture taehyung to follow him as he sat down on the couch in his room, taehyung followed his suit and sat down.
"I–i am not sure how to feel about all of this " hoseok say's as he moved his hand in the air, trying to make taehyung understand his word without actually uttering the problem name.
"I can understand hyung " taehyung say's, his voice filled with sincerity. Taehyung always understand hoseok, he always does.
"I Just can't pinpoint why didn’t yoongi ever mention anything like this to me?" hoseok ask, his voice calm not accusing.
Taehyung hummed " maybe because he thought it wasn't important especially now since his father is not in the picture and he is the king?" taehyung say's and hoseok had the same thinking but still
"But still he should have mentioned it to me. I am his boyfriend, i deserve to know this piece of information i guess " hoseok say's as a pout form into his lips.
"He should have—" taehyung agreed and nods his head "–you should question him Once he is back " taehyung suggested, hoseok nods his head.
"I will—" hoseok debated with himself if he should tell taehyung about the talk he had with prince jimin. Taehyung is hoseok's best friend, he was there with hoseok throughout thick and thin and hoseok knows if he was in taehyung place he would also like to know everything "–tae?" hoseok called.
Taehyung hummed and looked at hoseok with curious eyes "—park jimin is not what he looks like " taehyung blinked at hoseok in confusion.
"What do you mean?" taehyung ask, hoseok crossed his legs on the couch, he turned to look at taehyung, taehyung did the same as now both best friend were staring at eachother.
"Park jimin–he threatened me earlier " taehyung eyes widen, hoseok nods his head and told taehyung everything park jimin told him. By the time hoseok was finished, taehyung jaw were clutched and his eyes burning with fury.
"How dare he!" taehyung growl out, he has always been protective of his best friend. His hoseokie hyung.
"We have to keep an close eye on him tae. I don’t get good vibes from him " hoseok say's, taehyung took a deep breath to calm himself down as he nods his head.
"You don’t worry hyung,, i will make sure he doesn’t come anywhere near you or your Chamber. Nothing can happen to you while i am alive " taehyung say's, his eyes full of determination. Hoseok's heart filled with love for his best friend, for the man he loves as his younger brother.
"I am not worried about myself tae. You know i am more than capable of protecting myself. Just Because i am not a profession assassin right now doesn’t mean i wasn’t one " hoseok smirked, taehyung let out a laugh and nods his head.
"Oh hyung dont worry i still have all the secret recipes we need " taehyung winked at hoseok. Both best friend share the same facial expression as they wait for Park Jimin to cross the small boundaries they set when it comes to their loved ones.
"Park Jimin you made a great mistake by calling my love for yoongi a bullshit "

A week has passed since park jimin came into hoseok's life unannounced and made his life a little unbearable. Park jimin has been behaving like a Queen in the palace. He has been ordering all the royal servant as if he own the place. He has been also trying to get into the council office. He has tried more than enough time already but hoseok didn’t allow him to enter anywhere near yoongi's study, his room or the council room.
In yoongi's absence hoseok is the one who has the right to make all the important decision in the kingdom. He is the one who manage the council and listen all the complained their subject has in the meantime. Hoseok if it’s in his capacity tries his best to solve the Problem but if he can't then he wait till yoongi is back and let yoongi handle the situation.
Hoseok sighed in annoyance when he saw Park jimin stand infront of the council room once again. Who does jimin thinks he is. He is honestly getting on hoseok's nerve right now.
"Adviser Jung " jimin greeted in his sickingly sweet voice, hoseok physically stopped himself from rolling his eyes.
"Prince Jimin how may i help you today?" hoseok ask with his own very fake smile.
"I was wondering if you would introduce me to the council member you know since i am the future Queen of this Kingdom " jimin say's, it has been ages since hoseok last committed murder but right now Hoseok wont actually mind to committee his first murder after years.
Hoseok let out a small chuckle at jimin words, he looked at the prince from head to toe " my Prince i think you have forgotten that the Only person who will be called a Queen is someone who gave birth to the next king not even the King's partner is called Queen until they gave birth " hoseok reminded.
Ying-Hua rule is different from other kingdom. Their royal status is also different. They always has only one king and a queen. Being married to the king doesn’t make someone Queen. If anyone wants to be the Queen they needs to give birth to a heir boy or girl doesn’t matter. Now biologically only women's are meant to be Queen since they are the only one who is capable of giving birth.
But there's some exception where a man can also give birth. They are different from normal man. They are gifted human being. They sure are man but they have women genitals and a womb. Only one person is alive with this gift in their generation. No one knows who that person is And there's no way in hell that jimin is the one.
For the first time in the last week, hoseok has seen jimin taken a back by his words but he quickly composed himself, his sicking sweet smile is back onto his lips.
"Oh i know adviser Jung after all i am the gifted man in our generation " hoseok's eyes widen when he heard jimin's words. Jimin gifted? This sick selfish bitch?
"You expect me to believe you?" hoseok scoffed, he doesn’t Trust anything that come out of jimin mouth.
"I don’t need you to believe me. After all you are not the one i am going to be intimate with. I am sure yoongi will appreciate me you know, he is going to worship me once he learned that i am the one who can give him his next heir " hoseok felt sick to his stomach. Does this man even have any shame or what?
"I can already imagine the love king yoongi is going to show me once i will carry his child—" jimin say's, a dreamy look on his face "–and he will forget you in a day " jimin say's and yeah hoseok will need to committee a murder very soon.
"You have very nice dream Prince Jimin. The love yoongi and i share is not that weak that someone cheap like you can remove me from his mind and heart. I Jung hoseok rule Ying-Hua King Min yoongi's heart and soul " hoseok declared. His head held high, chest huff in pride. He knows–yoongi will always choose him no matter what. A simple child can never separate them.
Yoongi doesn’t even care about having a heir, he is fine either way and if they ever want to have a baby, they can adopt or surrogacy is always an option or something like that. Hoseok knows yoongi wont leave him for that. Jimin is trying to play a mind game.
He want to put doubt and insecurities inside hoseok's head just so when yoongi return he can start a pointless fight with his lover. Just so yoongi gets annoyed with hoseok and his insecurities and jimin wants to take advantage of that situation but hoseok knows better.
Jimin doesn’t know hoseok has played way to many mind games of his own Because of his previous line of work.
He will never allow jimin to success in his plan. Hoseok is very very familiar with this kind of strategy after all he had applied this same thing so many times for his missions. Jimin had made a mistake, he made a mistake by calling hoseok replaceable. He made a mistake by wanting to take what rightfully belongs to hoseok and he only.
"This are not dream. They are the truth! " jimin say's, hoseok this time didn’t hide his eye rolls, he walked fast jimin and enter the council room. He had enough with all this bullshit talk. He has a responsibility to fulfill. He has a kingdom to run.
Hoseok sighed in relief once he was inside the council room. Taehyung and Commander Kim seokjin was already waiting for him inside the room. They both raised their eyebrows at hoseok's sudden distress.
"You okay there advisor? " seokjin asked, hoseok straighten up his poster and nods his head.
"Yeah commander just prince jimin was getting on my nerve " hoseok commented as he walked near the large wooden table, he took his seat which was right beside the king's throne. Hoseok has of course sat on the throne when yoongi and he was alone in the room but he never ever dared to sit on it while yoongi was away. The throne belongs to yoongi and him only. No one else can seat on it beside yoongi not even hoseok.
"Maybe you should write to his highness and tell him the situation here " taehyung suggested, he doesn’t like seeing his best friend in tension. Hoseok shook his head.
"He is already busy there with everything. I do not want to trouble him with this unnecessary problem. Beside he is coming back in three day's " hoseok Say's, a small smile crift into his lips at the thought of finally seeing his lover after so many months.
"Well then shall we start with our meeting today? Why did you just called me and taehyung and not other Council member your highness? " seokjin questioned. Hoseok exhale a breath, with the breath he tried to release all the tension on his body just wanting to concentrate on his work for now.
"Yeah commander. I was thinking about making our boarder more secure incase wingspan decided to attack us after yoongi reject Prince jimin " hoseok say's as he rolled his eyes, he can't help but feel annoyed everytime he remember park jimin.
Both taehyung and seokjin nods their head. Both of them being the head of Ying-Hua army.

Hoseok was reading a book in his room when taehyung suddenly burst into his room with a worried look. Hoseok looked at his best friend in confusion.
"Hoseok something happen inside the palace " taehyung announced, hoseok immediately got alert as he closed his book and got on his feet. He walked to where taehyung was standing.
"What happen tae?" hoseok ask
"Prince jimin–he was poisoned " hoseok's eyes widen at the information. Jimin–park jimin was poison? Who would have done this?
"What? How? When?" hoseok ask not understanding who could do something like this especially in hoseok's palace.
"Last night. Someone mixed poison in his wine " taehyung say's and hoseok frown.
"How is he now?"
"Out of danger. He is resting right now. His servant jungkook informed me when i was on my way to the training center " hoseok nods his head, he won't lie saying he wasn’t a little disappointed that nothing happened to jimin.
"Tell me hoseok—" hoseok look at taehyung, taehyung had a suspicious look on his eyes "–did you did that?" taehyung all but whispers. Hoseok blinked at his best friend with a unreadable expression.
"Do you really think he would have survive if it was me who poisoned him?" hoseok ask taehyung shoulder relax at that as he shake his head.
"Sorry hyung. I just didn’t want king to get upset with you when jimin park will accused you " taehyung say's, hoseok now looked genuinely confused.
"Why will he accuse me?" hoseok ask tilting his head. Taehyung looked at hoseok as if he was dumb maybe hoseok was a little bit.
"Hyung everyone knows you two dont like each other and the only person who will be benefit if jimin dies is you. He is your biggest competitor right now " taehyung say's as if it was the universal truth.
" I don’t need to kill him tae. Yoongi loves me and not him. " hoseok say's, taehyung sighed.
"Yeah i know that, you know that, jimin knows that but your /people/ doesn’t know that. They are innocent, they trust anything and everything. Trust is like glass hoseok, it only takes one single crack to break down and people of Ying-Hua they sure loves you but if the rumours of their beloved advisor poisoning someone that too a prince spread out then you can understand what will happen " taehyung say's and hoseok's eyes widen in horror.
Taehyung is right. He is right. But hoseok didn’t poison jimin. He is not someone to stood this low.
"But i didn’t do it taehyung " hoseok depended himself, taehyung put his hand on hoseok's shoulder in reassurance.
"I know hyung and this is why you have to tell yoongi hyung you didn’t do anything before jimin or anyone else does." taehyung say's, hoseok swallow the lump in his throat and nods his head.
"Come on let's go and see how jimin is doing " hoseok say's, taehyung nods his head.
Hoseok exits his room and walked to the guest ring of the palace where jimin and his servants were staying for the meantime.
Hoseok enter jimin room and saw him laying on the bed, his eyes were closed and he looked paler than before. Jimin personal servant jungkook was sitting beside him, he looked equally exhausted. He had dark circle under his eyes. Hoseok till now hadn’t looked at jungkook properly, he would always stand a few feet away from jimin when he and hoseok talked and most of the time hoseok was too annoyed at jimin to notice anything else.
Jeon jungkook looked even more younger than jimin. He had a baby face and big bambi eyes as he stare at hoseok and taehyung. His jaw clutched and hands into a fist. Hoseok doesn’t understand the sudden hostile feeling he is getting from jungkook.
"How is Prince jimin doing?" hoseok ask as he nods towards jimin bed. Jungkook looked behind at jimin and back at hoseok. He eyed hoseok up and down.
"You will be disappointed to know he didn’t die. Your plan didn’t work " jungkook spat with so much venom in his voice. Hoseok was forced to taken a back.
"Mind your tongue jeon jungkook. You are accusing advisor and his highness beloved " taehyung growl as he stand infront of hoseok, one of his hand already on his sword incase.
"Tae calm down " hoseok say's, his voice as calm as ever. He put one of his hand on taehyung shoulder, taehyung shoulder slumped as he moved away but he stand right beside hoseok.
"You are accusing of something i hadn’t done jungkook-shi. I Did no such things " hoseok say's, jungkook didn’t looked like he believe hoseok's words.
"If it’s not you then who? You are the only one who is capable of doing so " jungkook spat.
"Why will i do such thing?"
"Because Prince is supposed to marry his highness who you love. You were afraid after the marriage his highness wouldn’t look at you anymore so of course out of jealousy and insecurities you tried to kill him " jungkook say's, hoseok looked at jungkook with hard eyes.
" stay in your limit jungkook! I still hadn’t done something because you are Ying-Hua guest and yoongi is not here. Otherwise you would have slaughtered for this disrespect. Your prince is not marrying anyone. His highness hadn’t made any decision and once he comes back he will make sure both you and your Prince return to where you belong at wingspan! " hoseok say's, his eyes filled with fire, words strong enough to sent chill down everyone spine. Jungkook eyes widen at hoseok's tone of words. He maybe hadn’t expected hoseok to react like this. After all every time jimin said something to provoke him, he was always calm and collective and replied as politely as it was possible.
Hoseok without spearing any other glance to Jungkook or jimin left the room. Just because he is quite and respecting his guest doesn’t mean he will allow anyone to talk to him like this. He wont let anyone accuse of something he hadn’t done. If hoseok actually tried to poison jimin, the latte wouldn’t be alive right now neither would anyone ever find out he was poisoned. Hoseok doesn’t play raw and childish game.
Hoseok also never miss his target (yoongi and yoongi was is the only exception).

It was finally the day yoongi would return and Hoseok was both relieved and anxious. Relieved because he will finally see the love of his life after so many months and anxious Because well there's few reason hoseok is anxious and one of them is park jimin. Who is for now fully recovered and secondly hoseok heard some rumours about him inside the castle.
Just last night hoseok heard one of the maid saying to another maid
"Do you think advisor jung actually poisoned prince?"
"He was a assassin before he joined the royal court, we shouldn’t forget that he originally came here to kill our king. He is indeed capable of doing so "
Hoseok heart broke when he heard this conversation and he knows they are not the only one who is talking about hoseok behind his back. Even some people from their kingdom is also talking. They are bringing hoseok's past back after everything hoseok has done for everyone.
They are talking shit about hoseok and jimin, jungkook and the guards they brought from their kingdom has also been pouring fuel into the fire. Hoseok is afraid soon entire Ying-Hua will be Against him and they will ask yoongi to marry jimin especially after jimin being the Special one like he mentions.
The kingdom people will definitely want to have their prince or Princess and if jimin can give them that they sure will force yoongi to marry jimin even if jimin was actually lying. What if just like everyone else yoongi also believes the rumours and leave hoseok?
One thing yoongi ever asked hoseok to do was to never kill anyone ever again and hoseok swore on his and yoongi's love that he wont kill anyone unless his or yoongi's life is in strike and hoseok has been keeping his promise for years now. He didn’t tried to kill jimin. He just hopes yoongi listen to him and not to his people.
After all the pain and torture yoongi's father had done to the people of Ying-Hua, yoongi is adamant to repay them so he always put his subject before everyone else including himself and hoseok.
So if the people of Ying-Hua wants Jimin as their king partner and not hoseok, yoongi sure will give them that because yoongi is guilty for what his father did and he want to repay people even if it’s means sacrificing his and hoseok's love.
So hoseok is scared. He is scared that yoongi wont choose him. He was so sure yoongi wont leave him just yesterday morning but after hearing all those whispers and words hoseok is not so sure anymore. Hoseok can't live without yoongi in his life. He can't watch yoongi marry someone else either.
He knows it’s normal for kings to have more than one partner but hoseok doesn’t want to share yoongi. He is not ready to share yoongi.
He will rather die than seeing yoongi with someone else.
Hoseok took one last deep breath and left his room to go to the ball room, where everyone will be present to welcome their king including the people of Ying-Hua.
When hoseok reached at the ballroom he already found jimin and jungkook there with their own gifts and stuff. Taehyung and seokjin along with other Council members were also present and hoseok nervousness came back. Everyone quite down when hoseok enter the room, he walked in the middle of the room and stand there in all his glory, waiting for his king, the love of his life to return.
Hoseok felt his soul coming back into his body when he saw yoongi entering the room in all his glory unharmed, safe and sound. Yoongi's hair grown a little longer than Before, he looked healthy and his aura was as strong as ever. On his Right was general Kim Namjoon who was walking side by side with his king. Hoseok looked at his best friend from the corner of his eyes, taehyung were bouncing on his feet seeing his husband after so many months.
Hoseok felt his own heart rate getting faster with every step yoongi took near him. Yoongi smiled his gum full of smile when his eyes meet hoseok, hoseok gave him his own heart shape smile.
Yoongi stand infront of hoseok, his eyes full of fondness as he looked at hoseok from head to toe. Hoseok stare at his king in awe.
"Hoseok" yoongi breathed, Hoseok looked at yoongi's eyes and smiled brightly.
"My king " hoseok say's as he bowed down, he took yoongi's hand on his own and kissed the back of yoongi's hand as a greeting. Yoongi continue to look at hoseok with fondness.
Once hoseok greeted yoongi and yoongi looked at his lover for quite some time, yoongi moved to meet his other Council members. Everyone did their greetings including taehyung and seokjin. Soon yoongi was standing infront of jimin and jungkook. The uncomfortable feeling from before return in hoseok's chest as he saw yoongi staring at jimin in confusion.
"My love my king " jimin bowed as he took yoongi's hand and kissed in greetings. Yoongi raised one of his eyebrows in question.
"What are you doing here?" hoseok's stomach drop at yoongi's question. That means yoongi recognize jimin. He recognize him and knew about him but still never told hoseok anything about it.
"What do you mean my king? I am here for you, for our wedding "

Hoseok stare at the night Sky from his balcony, he felt numb and his mind a huge mess. After jimin said those words, yoongi dismissed everyone including hoseok, he then called namjoon, seokjin, jimin and jungkook to a room. When hoseok tried to go inside the guards told him yoongi didn’t gave permission to anyone else to enter including hoseok.
They went inside the room in the noon, hoseok also seen maid delivering food inside the room. To say hoseok was heartbroken would be an understatement. He thought he and yoongi were going to have lunch together. He thought just like every other time yoongi will come to him and they will talk about everything and nothing at the sametime.
Hoseok thought yoongi would wanted to be with him but instead he is there inside that room with jimin talking about god knows what. Hoseok feels his eyes burning, a pout on his lips. His heart clutching painfully every now and then.
God knows what lie jimin is feeding yoongi about hoseok and that poison incident. What if yoongi doesn’t want to be with hoseok anymore. What if they are planning their wedding right now.
Will yoongi throw hoseok away just like that? Does their love means nothing to him?
Hoseok was brought back to reality when he heard his door open and closed. He heard footsteps approaching him lazily. Hoseok knows this footsteps by his heart, he can recognize yoongi's steps anywhere.
"What did you talked about?" hoseok questioned without looking at yoongi, he was still staring at the sky, the sky completely empty today just like hoseok's heart and mind. No sign of any star or the moon.
Yoongi hummed and stand near hoseok " about things " he replied even tho hoseok is not looking at yoongi, he knows the latte just shrugged his shoulder.
They fell into a silence after that. Hoseok felt suffocated in the silence. Why is yoongi not telling him? Why is he not hugging– Kissing hoseok just like old time? What did jimin told yoongi?
"Do you love me hoseok?" Hoseok finally looked at yoongi after hearing the question. What kind of question was this? Of course hoseok loves yoongi. He loves yoongi like there's no tomorrow.
"Of course i do! You know i do " hoseok say's, his eyes and voice full of confusion. Yoongi looked nonchanted by the question.
"What can you do for me?" Yoongi ask, surprising hoseok furthermore. What does yoongi want?
"Anything. I can do anything for you" hoseok replied his voice filled with determination.
"Can you die for me?" Yoongi ask finally looking at hoseok. Hoseok blinked at yoongi at the question. But he answer netherless.
"I can "
Yoongi hummed and lift his hand, he open his fist and hoseok saw a small glass bottle in yoongi's palm. He looked at the bottle and back at hoseok, who was still trying to understand the situation.
"If you love me then drink this " yoongi say's nodding at the small bottle.
"What is this?" hoseok ask, his heart beat was so loud, it was the only other sound hoseok could hear.
"Poison " hoseok's eyes widen at yoongi's words. Yoongi–he wants hoseok to drink poison?
"Wh–what?" hoseok shuttered out. Yoongi shrugged his shoulder.
"I am going to marry jimin–" hoseok felt like someone stab his heart with thousands knives, the ground underneath him stiff and his world stopped spinning in it's axis. Hoseok felt the first drop of tears fall from his eyes.
Yoongi–he doesn’t mean it right? He–he is lying yeah joking with hoseok. He can't do this to hoseok.
"–tomorrow morning. He told me about how you tried to kill him despite you promising me that you never will.—" hoseok tried to open his mouth to speak but he was so shocked that nothing came out so yoongi continue "–i know you love me and wont be able to see me marry someone else so i am here to give you this two option " yoongi again nods at the poison in his hand. Hoseok stare at the man he loves in disbelief. He can't able to recognize this yoongi infront of him. Who was he? This–he can't be hoseok's yoongi.
"Either you drink this poison and die in my arms right now or don’t drink it and die everyday without me "
Hoseok stare at yoongi's eyes, he tried to find something anything in yoongi's eyes which will give away the fact that yoongi is joking. This is not real and yoongi is lying. He is not marrying jimin and he is not leaving hoseok. But hoseok found no such things.
"The choice is yours hoseok "
Hoseok think about all the possibilities of this Being a bad dream but nothing is giving away the fact that it's maybe a bad dream. He thought about a life without yoongi in it. He thought about watching yoongi and jimin together getting married and living happily.
He thought about a life where yoongi didn’t loved him and he didn’t loved yoongi anymore.
But he couldn’t imagine it.
Hoseok can't imagine a life without yoongi. He can't see yoongi with anyone else. He can't see yoongi loving someone who wasn’t hoseok himself.
Hoseok can't. He can't. His heart was hurting and he was now fully sobbing.
Hoseok shakily lifted his hand, he took the poison from yoongi's hand into his own. He stare at the poison in his hand and back at yoongi who was looking at him with no expression.
"I see you made your choice—" hoseok averted his gaze from yoongi and back at the poison. He opened the bottle, his hands shaking, tears storming down his cheeks, he was hiccuping even tho he didn’t wanted to. "–now before you drink it—' hoseok looked at yoongi " –you can ask for one thing. I will grant one of your wish after all you do love me. So hoseok ask for anything " yoongi say's and hoseok chuckle wetly when he understand the hidden meaning behind yoongi's words.
"J–just hug me one last time. Hug me as i ta–take my last breath that w–would be enough "
Hoseok felt two arms wrap around his body, he sighed in content when he gets to feel the warmth of yoongi's body. Hoseok wrapped his own arms around yoongi, hugging the man he loves tightly last time one last time.
Hoseok hide his face on yoongi's neck, breathing into his scent
"I love you, i love you so much. I hope in another life i had my happy ending with you. I hope in another life you loved me as much as i loved you. I hope in another life you and i are meant to be together. I hope in another life i didn’t needed to drink poison to prove my love for you but even if i needed to i hope i drank that poison too"
and before he could think about anything else hoseok lifted the poison bottle and drink all of it in one go.
Hoseok let go off the glass bottle, it fall on the ground with a loud thud and shattered into small piece just like hoseok's heart. Yoongi pulled away from the hug, his hand holding hoseok's arm keeping him steady.
Hoseok felt his throat tighten up, his vision getting hazy, his surrounding spinning. He lost the strength in his legs and fall on the ground. Tears drop falling from the corner of his eyes. The last thing Hoseok saw with his hazy eyes before darkness took over him was yoongi's smile.

Hoseok gasped for air when his eyes suddenly opened. He looked around his surrounding, his chest heaving up and down as he was struggling to take breath. Hoseok felt someone pulling him close to their chest, rubbing his back up and down in a comforting manners. Before hoseok could see anything else, his eyes closed themselves Once again and he went into deep slumber.

Next time when hoseok woke up, it was less dramatic and he could breath properly without feeling like chocking on oxygen. Hoseok took his time to open his eyes, he slowly blinked open his eyes and the first thing he saw was yoongi's face. Yoongi was creasing hoseok's cheeks softly, he had a fond look on his face and lips stretch into a small smile.
"I–i am alive?" hoseok questioned, yoongi laughed and nods his head.
"Very much " he replied. Hoseok looked around his surrounding, he can see sunlight peeking throughout the curtain, he also notice he wasn’t in his own room but at yoongi's one.
"H–how?" hoseok ask, yoongi's smile fall as guilt made their way into the kings face.
"The portion you drink it wasn’t supposed to be a poison—" wasn’t supposed to be? What does that mean. Hoseok watched the way yoongi's eyes turn dark and he pulled hoseok close to him "–it was supposed be a sleeping portion but jimin replaced it with real poison " yoongi gritted his teeth. Hoseok looked at his lover in confusion with wide doe eyes.
Yoongi seeing hoseok's confusion sighed and kissed him on the forehead, he connected both of their forehead together. Yoongi closed his eyes, hoseok stare at yoongi's face. After a while yoongi open his eyes and stare directly into hoseok's one.
"When me, namjoon, seokjin, jimin, jungkook went to the room. Before i could say something jimin accused you of poising him, jungkook supported jimin saying it was true. When i asked for prove they start saying how you disrespect them, mentally and physically abused them. You misused your power and many more things.
Luckily seokjin denied all of this and said everything they utter was lie. You did no such things in fact you treated them with respect even when jimin disrespected you, threatened you.
Jimin then said even if you did all that, doesn’t mean you didn’t poison him. He also said you actually don’t love me. You are with me just for the royal status, he also brought back your past. I don’t know where did he learned all this but he knew almost everything.
He also claimed to be the gifted one. That if he and i get married he can give me a heir—" yoongi chuckle, hoseok crack a small smile at that too. Yoongi crease hoseok's cheeks, hoseok closed his eyes. He felt Yoongi kissing both his eyelids "–he really thought i would believe him especially when i already know who is gifted one here " hoseok opened his eyes and stare at yoongi's one.
"Did you told him that you already know who was the gifted man?" hoseok ask, his voice a little horse from not using it for a longest time. Yoongi shook his head.
"I didn’t darling. I wanted to see what else he could do or say. Beside i wont reveal your secret without your permission " yoongi winked, making hoseok's heart flatter..
"Anyway so after all that bullshit he said, i finally had enough and told him to stop his nonsense and tell me why he actually was here.
He said he loved me and wanted to be mine. When he saw i wasn’t believing him, he Once again start talking bad about you and how your love was fake. He asked me to prove that your love was true. I at first refused Because it was ridiculous and i know your love is real but he said if i don’t do what he said then he is going to create fake evidence against you and will defame you amongst our people."
Hoseok couldn’t believe his own ear, he can't believe what was he hearing. How low could jimin step down?
"He then gave a bottle of a sleeping dose, he told me to tell you it’s poison, he asked me to make you drink it. He bet that you wont. I didn’t wanted to do it but i also by then knew jimin was capable of doing anything so i agreed. I made the royal physician checked if it was actually sleeping portion or not. He confirmed that it was indeed sleeping portion.
But then when i was talking to namjoon about something, i saw jungkook secretly changed the bottle, i knew that they changed it into poison so i made taehyung make a antidote immediately.
So after you drink the poison, i immediately made you drink the antidote and now here we are "
Hoseok can see fear dancing into yoongi's eyes, he can hear just how loud yoongi's heart rate got and how scared the king looked. Yoongi was scared the antidote wont work. He was scared he would lose hoseok.
Yoongi didn’t choose anyone else. He loves hoseok and him only. Hoseok never felt relief washed over him so peacefully.
"What happened to jimin and jungkook? " hoseok ask
"Taehyung took care of them " Yoongi answered and shrugged. Hoseok's eyes widen when realization hits him.
"You made tae killed them?"
"Taehyung had his fun " yoongi say's, hoseok laughed and then shake his head in disbelief.
"You are a idiot " hoseok announced, yoongi grin and pecked hoseok's lips.
"Your idiot "
"Why did you never told me about jimin?" hoseok ask after a while, yoongi sighed.
"Because i already broke the engagement with jimin as soon as i realized my feelings for you. I Have told his father that in no mean am i going to marry his son and i don’t give a shit about what my father promised Because my father was a Dick and i am not going to listen anything he say's. I also told them to never contact or come to Ying-Hua that's why i was kind of surprised to see jimin here suddenly "
Hoseok looked into yoongi's eyes, he found nothing but honesty in them.
"Still you should have informed me. I felt like someone was taking away my soul away from me when he suddenly appeared and claimed to be your fiance " hoseok confessed truthfully.
"Oh love i am so sorry. I promise i will never hide anything from you from now on " yoongi promised. Hoseok sighed and nods his head. He tighten his arms around yoongi and hide his face into yoongi's chest. They stayed like this for a while.
Just enjoying and basking into each other warmth.
"I can't believe you actually drank poison to prove your love for me " yoongi whispers breaking the comfortable silence that fall over them.
"I can't believe you let me drink that poison " hoseok say's, his lips curl into a small smile, he knew yoongi could feel his smile as his face was still hidden in yoongi's chest.
"I am sorry seok" yoongi apologize, Hoseok lifted his head and smiled at him softly.
"It's okay tho i can't help but wonder what would you do if the antidote didn’t work out? " hoseok ask, he was genuinely curious to know the answer.
"You are not the only one who was ready die for love,, i was too " hoseok stare at yoongi in confusion.
"I had another one of the same poison with me. If God forbidden anything was to happened to you, i would drink the second bottle and join you there " yoongi shrugged and Hoseok felt his eyes getting moist this time not Because of the pain but Because of how much love he was feeling for his lover.
"I love you hoseok so much. I can do anything for you including dying. Yoongi only exits with his hoseok. If there's no hoseok then there wont be any yoongi. You are my everything seokah. Everything. You may think my subject are my first priority. They are but you are too. If i ever need to choose between saving my subject and you, as a king i will choose them but i will also choose to die with you. "
Hoseok overwhelmed by Yoongi's confession hide his face again into yoongi's chest. His hands around Yoongi's back tighten..
"I love you too hyung "
Hoseok lifted his head and kissed yoongi's lips.He tried to pour all his love into the kiss. Wanting to covert all his words into this one kiss. Yoongi kissed him back with same amount of passion. They breathed into eachother. Just wanting to be close, near eachother.

"I still don’t understand one thing tho " hoseok say's later at night. He was on top of yoongi, head on the king's chest. Their naked figure was covered by the blanket. Yoongi hummed under him and kissed hoseok's forehead
"What dont you understand love?" yoongi questioned, he hugged hoseok with one hand and comb his finger on hoseok's hair with another one.
"Who poised jimin? It wasn't me or tae since if we would he would have been dead by then. Beside us who could have poison him?" hoseok ask, this question has been bugging him since he learned that jimin was poison.
Yoongi went quite under hoseok, hoseok not hearing yoongi speak, finally lifted his head and looked at his lover face. Yoongi's eyes were looking everywhere but at hoseok's face. Hoseok used both of his hand to cup yoongi's cheeks and make yoongi look at him.
"Yoongs?"
Yoongi sighed and then shrugged his shoulder.
"Seokjin informed me about jimin arrival, he also told me everything jimin did to you so—"
"–so you made seokjin mix poison in jimin wine."
Hoseok finished yoongi's sentence, yoongi hesitantly looked at hoseok's eyes and nods his head in conformation.
"He insulted you and i wasn’t here to punish him that's why " yoongi mumbled with a small pout, hoseok giggled and kissed the pout away from yoongi's lips.
"My sweet sweet yoongi. I can't believe you were ready to committee murder for me " hoseok giggle, a smile broke into yoongi's lips as he pecked hoseok's lips.
"I can destroy the world for you, murder is nothing. "
"You are crazy " hoseok shake his head, his hair falling into his eyes, yoongi carefully removed them. He pulled hoseok near him, their chest touching eachother, yoongi crease his hand all over hoseok's naked back. He locked their lips together, his hand squeeze hoseok's butt just as he bite hoseok's lips making him moan.
Hoseok pulled away from the kiss once air was much needed, they both panted, their breath ghosted over each other swollen lips.
"If you can drink poison for me darling then i can surely committee murder for you."
