The mother with the help of John, created the third Winchester, but when she was just conceived, she should have been destroyed. Despite being considered an abomination, God has a unique and special plan for her that is of great significance.

Chapter 1: Return From Hell.

Chapter Text

Alcohol had become a dependency to keep me sane, one brother was dead, and the other buried me with him, tossing me aside like trash. When it all became too much and it all piled up one night, drunk and upset I showed up at, the man I saw as a father, Bobby's home. With him, we became stable enough to continue living on for my brother who couldn't... Now for the first time, I just helped, cooked, cleaned and didn't hunt unlike I did before Bobby after my brother died and the other left like a deadbeat dad.

Little did I know Today was a day I would never forget, and as I daydreamed of the odd dream I had the night prior, Bobby had gotten a very peculiar call. "Yeah... who's me?" He spoke simply and hung up immediately after the unknown person's response, without a word.

"Who was that?" I asked curiously but then another call happened and he didn't respond before picking up, it must've been the person from the previous call and whoever it was was saying something that was enough to piss Bobby off.

"Who is it?..." Silence before he responded angrily. "This ain't funny! Call again and I'll kill ya," He growled with anger. He looked at me and told me to let it go because he already had so I did and decided to start on lunch, Maybe a half-hour later a knock on the door so Bobby grumbled, got up and answered it as I came down the stairs.

"Surprise." Whoever it was, it was a man and wow did he ever sound like my brother, Dean- my very dead, not coming back brother... I closed my eyes.

"Wh- I don't-" Bobby mumbled almost dumbfounded sounding.

"Yeah me either," Mystery Man said. "But, here I am." this proceeded with the sounds of struggle like Bobby and Mystery Man were fighting "BOBBY! Bobby, it's me." Mystery Man yelled as he came falling into my view.

"Dean," I whispered covering my mouth with my hand. No, it couldn't be! It was a trick, a sick sick trick!

"My ass," Said Bobby also coming into my view wielding a knife.

"Woah, woah! Stop! Your name is Robert Steven Singer, you became a hunter after your wife got possessed, and you're about the closest thing I have to a father," Dean the fake said. "Bobby it's me.." Bobby moved the chair, Dean the fake had put in front of him to protect himself, Bobby placed his hand on fake Dean's shoulder and Bobby went for me, but the fake grabbed his arm and put it behind him. 'go upstairs' he mouthed when he saw me, probably knowing seeing him kill a dean look-alike would set me off... and I obeyed knowing this fact as well... then I didn't hear anything for a long while and assumed it was safe so I started to walk downstairs, freezing when I see him talking to Bobby.

"You should've seen the grave sight it was like a nuke went off! Then there was this... this force, this presence, I don't know but it blew past me at a fill-up joint and then this," Dean said taking off his plaid shirt and lifting his sleeve there was a big handprint on his arm. He was real, wasn't he? Dean was alive? He crawled from the grave and back to me! My big brother always came back.

"What in the hell?" Bobby mumbled standing.

"Yeah, it was like a demon just yanked me out or rode me out," He said I was mesmerized, it was him.

"Dean?" I said teary-eyed stepping forward. It was him, it was genuinely him.

The night before Dean's Return, I had this weird dream of a man. It was a very meaningful dream that I prayed would come true. The man... I couldn't see him well, but I believed he was wearing a trench coat, It was raining and we were both soaked. "Who Are You?!" I yelled looking at him, trying to yell over the thunder, we were quite a distance apart until he moved closer, and within a blink of an eye, this man was face to face with me. I gasped and he grabbed me, and suddenly we were in a building, no rain, and we weren't wet anymore either. I looked at him.

"You're brother is saved. He is safe." The male spoke gruffly and I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out. "Now you can be of use to us, your destiny awaits you Y/N," He whispered as he touched my four head and suddenly I shot up from my bed, in Bobby's house. My eyes burned to all hell and despite the burning, I thought of who he was, and what he meant by My Brother being safe, and saved.

Today there he was, My older Brother by almost 5 years. Dean Winchester, Before my eyes. "Dean?" I mumbled again and he turned to look at me.

"There's my baby sister." He smiled and I ran, jumping into his arms, and he hugged me. I was still in shock, I couldn't move. He felt like my brother, he hugged me like my brother and all I could remember was That man's words repeating in my head. 'Your Brother Is Saved, He Is Safe.' He had spoken the truth.

"He told me you'd be safe," I whispered and Dean looked at me.

"What do you mean Y/N?" He asked and I looked at him.

"The man with Blue Eyes.” The blue eyes rang so familiar deep in my memory, I have seen a family set of them in my past but I couldn't quite remember. “In my dream said you're safe. That you were saved." I said gripping his shirt by the shoulders, and he hissed. "What? Are you okay?" I asked and he sighed, pulling away from me and taking off his flannel, and rolling his short-sleeve to his shoulder, and there were handprints again, burned into his skin. I gasped now seeing how bad it was up close... I walked closer to him, and he started to speak to Bobby but I couldn't hear, I slowly raised my hand and placed it on the mark, and instantly heard ringing in my ears, so loud it hurt. I cursed and pulled my hand away holding my ears, and the two males next to me looked confused.

"Y/N you okay?" Dean held me up, and the ringing wouldn't stop, I could barely hear Dean, but suddenly, the rings, turned into voices, more of a singular voice overpowering them all.

"You can hear me? Good." And then, nothing again. It was that voice, the gruffness that caused me to recognize it, it was the Blue-Eyed Man. I teared up, that's never happened before, it hurt, so much, but the man's voice calmed me, even for a second... it did. It was weird, his eyes stared back at me every time I closed mine. Who was he? What is he? Why was he so familiar? Why was I drawn to it all?

"I-I'm fine.." I mumbled looking at Dean, he looked worried.

"Does this happen often?" Dean asked and I and Bobby shake our heads.

"Don't tell them about me Y/N. Not yet." The voice spoke, and I nodded at it.

"It's okay." I stood and looked at them. They looked at me surprised, and shocked, they looked confused.

"I don't think you are, your eyes kinda flashed blue there, that hasn't happened in years." He said and I shook my head.

"I said I'm fine," I said consoling Dean with a hint of anger, and with a flutter of wings I was gone, papers flew everywhere. My family has always known about my powers, so it wasn't new, but flying was new, I just got angry and disappeared, I got a little scared at the new trick.

I was now somewhere different, I didn't mean or want to go here, it was a barn, with sigils everywhere. I looked around and saw pricing blue glowing eyes in the corner, in the dark.

"Are you, that man the keeps talking to me?" I said and he walked forward into the light, his eyes no longer glowing.

"Yes Y/N." He said, his voice gruff as usual. "I just wanted to show you who you are." He held his hand out and I stood, looking at it, and put my hand in his, and I felt a tingling feeling rumble through me more importantly in my back.

"Oh jeez... What is that?" I mumbled and he smiled.

"Your wings." He pulled me to him.

"Wings... I don't.." I looked at him and his wings were like a shadow, and when I gulped nodded, seeing the shadow when I moved... It wasn't visible but there.

"I want to meet here from now on.. so you can learn your powers, more you can imagine." He touched my cheek and I smiled. "Now go they'll get worried.. I'll see you tonight." He said smiling and I nodded. "Focus on the place you want to be, and just go." He said and I did, suddenly I was back, they looked at me shocked.

"What the hell?!" Dean yelled.

Chapter 2: As a Sister.

Chapter Text

I laughed loudly and they looked at me like I was crazy. "I'm here." And then I focused on the kitchen. "And now I'm here!" Bobby looked dumbfounded, and Dean looked confused.

"What happened to you?" Dean asked and I shook with excitement.

"I don't know! It's a new power." I walked to him.

"Your dad did tell me you were something great," Bobby said and I looked at him.

"Really?" I asked now standing next to him and he sighed as he nodded.

"Never did he say what you were tho.." he said and I bit my lip wondering what else I could do... The man said I could do lots.

"Are we gonna go find Sam or what?" I asked and the dean sighed nodding, after tracking him with ease. We went to the car.

We made it to the motel and we all went to his room after asking the front desk. Dean knocked on the door and I watched the door open to a girl. She.. didn't seem like a girl tho, though, to me, I sensed pure evil radiating off her.

"Where is the pizza?" She asked. "The one that took two guys.." she stopped. "And a girl? To deliver."

"I think we have the wrong room," Dean said and then Sam walked out of the room.

"What's taking-" he froze looking at Dean I backed up, and his eyes moved to me, I looked away. Dean walked in and Sam came at him with a silver knife. Bobby ran in and grabbed him.

"It's him, Sam! It's him!" He yelled and I stared at the girl as Sam finally backed down, instantly hugging Dean, and the girl mumbled.

"So are you two a thing?" She asked and Sam scoffed.

"What- no, hes my brother-"

"And who is she." She pointed at me.

"Dean's sister," I said and she looked at me confused.

"I'm Dean," Dean said flirtatiously and she smirked playfully but snottily.

"I uh, think I should go." She said grabbing her stuff and leaving. Sam was looking at me confused and looked like a kicked puppy and I knew why. Deans sister. I didn't look at him. What he did to me was the most hurtful thing he could have done as a response to our brother's death.

"I need to go," I said but Bobby grabbed my arm and I closed my eyes before the tears spilled, my brother abandoned me, and said things that hurt so bad, he was all that I had and then I lost it and had no one to talk to... Dean was gone, he left me for the vultures... I pulled my arm away from Bobby and walked to the bathroom. They all watched.

I stayed in the bathroom for a while, listening to Sam and Dean talk. Soon I was brought up and I was intrigued. "So what? One sibling dies and you bury both?" Dean asked and Sam sighed.

"That's not what-"

"You hurt her Sam. You'd know what she's been going through if you were only there with her?" He asked

"Yeah? Well, what's new?" He said as if there was always something wrong with me... I felt my eyes sting.

"She Can Teleport!!" Dean yelled and I heard the silence between his statements. "She's Been Having Nightmares, her eyes glow blue, and she refuses to talk to me!" Dean said infuriated and it was just silence from Sam. "You would know if you were there for her." Dean huffed and I sighed.

"I-I... I'm sorry. She didn't even look at me, she said she was 'Dean's sister' but not mine. I can see her pain-"

"Can you? We don't know if she's even in that bathroom, but you haven't tried to check or say hi. You let her cry. You always have Sammy." Dean said and I gulped... He has... Sam has always been a shit big brother. "Sometimes... I think you Don't even see her as a sister." Dean said. I covered my mouth, Dean thought it too. That's when I heard a flutter.

"He does." I heard and I looked seeing the guy once again. "He does see you as a sister." He said and I stood.

"What's your name.." I asked.

"Castiel." He said and I gulped.

"Castiel.. that's pretty," I said and he looked to the side a bit, smiling.

"Thank you." He said and I smiled at him seeing him become bashful.

"You're very comforting. I don't understand why, do I know you?." I asked finally wanting to understand this feeling of familiarity.

"I am... your guardian I suppose. I try to make you feel comfortable." He said and I smiled. That's when the door opened and Castiel disappeared. I didn't move, looking away at the wall as I sat on the counter.

"Y/N," Sam mumbled and I grunted in response, I didn't want to talk to him. I wasn't gonna make this easy on him. "I'm sorry for, abandoning you... Dean's right." He said, I turned to see him blocking the way out, so I... Flashed? Into the next room. That's how it felt, a slight flash before I popped up where I wanted to be. Sam walked out and saw me standing next to Dean.

"Told you she can teleport," Dean said.

"Dean, I'm hungry can we go?" I asked and Bobby shook his head.

"I'll go get food, you three work this out," Bobby said and I sighed sitting down on the bed close to Dean. I slipped my arm on his arm and he looked at me.

"What?" He mumbled.

"I'm glad I can feel you again.. all I've been having are nightmares," I said and Dean sighed rubbing my head. Sam sat at the desk across from us and Dean looked at him.

"Oh, you might want this," Sam said and pulled Dean's amulet off and handed it to Dean. Who smiled and put it on.

"Yeah, thanks," Dean mumbled and I gulped hearing him again.

"Tonight come back to the place I told you." Castiels voice whispered. I flinched at first mumbling.

"Okay.." The boys looked at me.

"You okay?" Dean asked and I nodded.

"Just got a little dizzy."

They began talking about what happened and Sam listened. I had a feeling that Castiel was the one that raised my brother...

"I did. I gripped him tight, and raised him from perdition." He spoke and I held in a giggle.

"Give me a moment," I said and walked to the bathroom. Once I closed the door. "What? You listen to my thoughts now?" I mumbled and I heard a chuckle, the closest thing I've gotten to him relaxing. Suddenly he was right in front of me again, super close though. "Whoa there," I said sitting up on the bathroom counter. "A little space." I chuckled and he took a small step back.

"Yes, I was." He said and I rolled my eyes.

"You probably don't wanna be doing that all the time," I said and he tilted his head. "I might have some... unholy thoughts," I said smiling and he looked away amused.

"About whom?" He asked.

"There doesn't have to be a person. I've never had someone to think about, oh other than Elvis maybe. And Patrick Swayze." I giggled and he nodded.

"They are deceased."

"Wow what a way to kill a mood Castiel," I said he looked confused and I just chuckled. "We can't keep just sneaking to the bathroom, from now on we talk when my brothers Aren't around at all," I said and he nodded.

"Good idea.. as I said, meet me tonight." And with that, he was gone. I sighed and walked out, seeing the food was now, here. I looked at Sam and he wasn't touching it. I walked over and sat next to him.

"I was waiting for you." He said and I smiled.

"Thanks.. big bro," I said grabbing a burger and unwrapping it. He does see you like a sister... thanks Castiel. I saw Sam smile, before grabbing food.

****

Later that night I pretended to sleep so that when my brothers did I could go. But I heard Sam. "Y/N? Dean.." he mumbled and I stayed silent, eyes closed. "Good.." he whispered and got up grabbing his coat and leaving.. with that, I left. Popping into the barn that was filled with sigils. I looked around and saw Castiel standing at the doors as if he just got here too, I moved to the only table and he walked over.

"Why bring weapons? They'll do nothing on me." Castiel spoke.

"In case something or someone else is around Cas," I said thinking of the nickname on the spot. His head tilted.

"Cas." He repeated and I smiled.

"Cas. It's your new nickname." I said and I looked at him. "So do you angels have weapons, y'know like Michaels's sword? Or Zeus's lightning, even if that is a different god." I shrugged. And Cas slipped something from his sleeve. A shiny silver dagger of some kind. He held it up.

"It's called an Angel Blade." He said. "It's the only thing that could kill us." He said.

Chapter 3: Mother.

Chapter Text

"Us?" I mumbled as he stepped even closer to me. "I thought anything can kill me," I said.

"Not anymore." He said. "What would happen is that from birth, your powers would kick in, but god had other plans, from birth I was assigned to you." He said and I looked down.

"You were that other man.. the other one with blue eyes," I said. "Why blue eyes?" I asked and he tilted his head.

"Yes well, My real form has blue eyes," he said. "That other host was this one's, Father." I smiled grabbing his shoulders and feeling him flinch from the sudden contact.

"Little sentimental? Besides I was thinking, do angels.. feel stuff, physical or emotional?" I asked.

"Depending on what kind of subject matter." He said looking at me.

"Like... if you got punched or stabbed.. and emotionally, touched? Love? Anger?" I said gently removing my hands from his shoulders but he grabbed my hand.

"I can feel your touch, but we aren't supposed to feel emotions. Just follow orders." He said.

"I do," I said and he nodded.

"You're right." He said and ran his hand up my arm. "If your brother looks for me. Let him." Cas said. "I want you to learn something if angels ever threaten you." He said and pulled the knife out of my coat and cut himself and wrote a symbol down. "You'll slap your hand down on it, and it should blast them back to heaven." He explained and I smiled taking a mental note. I was good at remembering because of Daddy.

"Okay, Cas... I have a question." I said.

"Mhm?"

"What's Sam doing?" I asked.

"That will come to play in a while." He explained.

"Come to play?" I mumbled sighing

"Yes now go, Sam and Bobby will be back." He said and gently touched my cheek and that's when I was back laying in bed and the door opened.

****

Back at Pam's, we sat in a circle. I was kinda distracted listening to Cas mumble, "I told you." He mumbled and I hummed tilting my head.

'That you did' I thought. 'What's gonna happen?' I asked and he stayed silent. Pam grabbed Dean's handprint, which I wanted to touch.

Pam began repeating. "I invoke, conjure and command you show me your face." Trying to get Castiel to show her his face, I heard Castiel Speaking to her.

"I am Castiel, I warn you to turn back, now."

"Castiel? No sorry, Castiel I don't scare easy." She spoke and I gulped.

"My face, you cannot handle." He said and I saw Cas. That's when my eyes opened they were glowing blue, I was seeing the real Cas, it was terrifying, but beautiful, while Pam's eyes burned out of her head, screaming in agony and the flames of the candles going high up.

"Castiel stop!!" I yelled it felt like my head was on fire and that's when it stopped, I fell off the chair and Sam stood with Dean and Bobby.

"Call 911!!" Bobby yelled and I was laying on the ground. While Bobby went to Pam, Dean grabbed me, I shook my head, Sam was calling and bobby was with Pam who was screaming.

"I can't see!!" She screamed

"Cas.." I mumbled opening my eyes and seeing Dean.

"What happened?" He asked

"Don't tell."

I looked at Dean. "I don't know," I said sitting up...

****

"I'll be sending you with him," Castiel said as we stood in the parking lot.

"Why do I have to go with him? It makes more sense for him to be alone."

"You'll have your powers, you can leave him alone whenever, and meet me at Jacob L. Loose park." He said.

"How?"

"Think about me." He smiled, suddenly he touched my forehead, and I was behind a dinner and I looked at him.

"Sam, Y/N, wherever you are, mom's a babe."

"Ew Dean," I said and he looked behind himself fast and laugh awkwardly.

"W-What are you doing here?" He asked and I sighed.

"Castiel sent me to help."

"You know Castiel?" He asked.

"Long story. Have you seen Dad yet?" I asked and he nodded, I looked past him and saw this blonde, I pushed Dean aside and she swung at me.

"Why are you following us??" She groaned and I ducked and punched her across the jaw. She kicked me in the stomach and suddenly I was behind her, she looked shocked and I grabbed her arms pulled them behind her and slammed her into the wall.

"Y/N! Stop!" Dean yelled and I looked at him.

"I'm just holding her down. She's a hunter." I said and cocked my head to her bracelet, he froze.

I slowly let go of her and she looked at us.

When at her place we stood behind a tree and I kept trying to look. "Y/N stop.."

"I wanna see Dad Dean," I whispered.

"What about mom?"

"Yeah, she's probably not even my mom, dad's story makes no sense and the man was drunk to oblivion," I said bitterly, and Dean rolled his eyes.

"She's still your mom in this family. Even if you got a different one." He said and I looked at him.

"Okay," I said and she looked at us.

"Dean and Y/N, was it? I don't think you should come inside." Mary said.

"Oh come on, we're all hunters here and we're practically family," Dean said and I shoved him a bit.

"I don't know, my dad-"

"Oh, I gotta meet him," Dean said and I shoved him again. He wrapped his arm around me so I'd stop.

"Are you two-"

"Siblings, yes." I smiled and she looked surprised, which burned into embarrassment. She waved us to follow and quietly walked us to the house, when inside, we stood before Samuel Campbell and asked.

"So Dean, lemme ask, do you kill a vampire with a wooden stake or silver?" He asked.

"Neither, chop their heads off," Dean said and Mary smirked.

"Okay, Y/N, how do you kill a changeling?"

"Fire, and if you kill the mother, you kill the rest," I said and he looked at me.

"Did we pass your test?"

"Yup, now get outta my house," Samuel said and I heard Cas whisper.

How's it going?

"What like you can't see it all?" I whispered and Mary looked at me.

I haven't been watching.

"Knock it off Samuel," Deanna yelled from the kitchen.

"They're hunters."

"And they passed your quiz, now I'm inviting them to dinner. Hey, I'm Deanna." She said and held a hand to me first.

"Y/N." I smiled and she hummed.

"That was my mother's name." She said and I smiled and looked at Dean, Dean shook her hand.

"Samuel, Deanna." He mumbled.

We sat at the table and I sat next to Mary. "So Dean, Y/N, first time in Lawrence?"

"It's been a while."

"Is for me." I smiled and Sam looked at me.

"What does that mean? Thought you two ran together.?"

"I'm five years younger than Dean, he was here as a kid, I was not," I said and he nodded slowly.

"So you two working a case.?"

"Maybe," Dean said.

"What does that mean?"

"Means I also don't trust other hunters Samuel," Dean said and I stared down, I was listening to Castiel when I couldn't handle being in this room together.

"I'm sorry, but I need to go," I mumbled. I stood up and slowly patted Dean's shoulder.

"Y/N," Dean said and I squatted down whispering in his ear.

"I can't do it, Dean," I whispered and I didn't even walk out, I focused on disappearing but I looked around but I was still there, and they all looked shocked.

"Where did she go?!" Samuel yelled.

"Calm down she's, she's my half-sister," Dean said and they looked at him. "She half human half Angel."

"Angel?! Angeles don't ex-"

"That's what I said until Y/N got her powers, I can call her back, prove it.?" He asked and Sam looked livid. I groaned and walked over next to Sam. I came back and they all looked at me.

"I'm already here, but I do need to go." I sighed. I was gone but this time sitting next to Castiel on a bench. "Why? Why put me through that?"

"Because you needed to know more about yourself. That you were born with the blood of your brothers for a reason. All of their blood." Cas said looking at me.

"What do you mean?" I asked softly and he looked up.

"We have to ability to take over anyone's body, only with their permission. Your mother got permission from Mary."

"Mary was dead."

"In heaven. To create you with her husband using her body, so not only was John's blood flowing through your body hers as well along with the powers of the angel that held you for 9 months. You weren't completely planned, but you were allowed to live and I was assigned, as I told you, so your father's drunken, story wasn't fabricated."

"But it wasn't Mary," I said and he shook his head. "Only her face." I sighed. "Should I go back?" I whispered and he nodded.

"You're good at learning." He said and I sighed. "So go and learn." He whispered and he tapped my forehead, I was sent back, I was standing in a motel. "Why am I here?" I groaned and in walked dean.

That morning dean went in with the wife of the victim, I walked over to he started telling me about what happened mary came over and then dean, figured out that the demon that killed mom was there, and that's when dean went rapid, when back at the house. "Why don't we slow down and talk this through?" Samuel said and I paced.

"Nothing to talk about." He said pushing a map down.

"You say it was a demon. None of us has heard of a demon with yellow eyes." Samuel sighed crossing his arm.

"We have," I said. Something about this revenge streak always got me all twisted, less than Sam, but it fazed me, Unlike dean. You could say it was because Dean remembered Mary, and it bothered Sam because he was just a baby and didn't understand, and was just accepted, I accepted my life and loved the hunt, but it was easier because I had Castiel I suppose, Sam did have an imagery friend, Sully, but mine was vividly real because he was. But now I suppose... It did make sense why dad called him fake.

"Y/N!" Dad yelled as I played on the playground, I jumped down and looked at him before turning to the man on the bench, I ran over to him instead of dad.

"Is he angry?" I asked and he shook his head.

"No, it's just time to go home." He said. "Now that he's here, I can go home." He said and I whine splaying myself on his lap, he chuckled.

"Come home with me!"

"I can't. You know that, come I'll walk you to your father." He took my hand and we walked past the yard and stopped at my dad.

"Daddy this is my friend! The man with the blue eyes remember? Sam said I should call him Blue, but I don't think that's his name." I said pointing up and I saw my dad look at me, and then up and almost straight through the man.

"Y/N no one is here baby." He said and I frowned.

"He can't see me, it's better that way."

"He says you can't see him, that it's better that way, why is it?" I asked and he smiled.

"Because you will be safe." He said and dad picked me up.

"What did he say?" He asked.

"Because I'll be safe if you don't see him." I said, "But I think it's also for your safety." I said and he bit his lip.

"You and these Fake imaginary stories, your creative kid, now where the hell are your brothers? they were supposed to be watching you." He said looking around.

"Oh, the man came because Dean left with that girl he likes, and Sam said he forgot something but hasn't come back. He's actually at the motel." I said and he furrowed his eyebrows.

"How do you know if he didn't come back?" He asked.

"Oh I just know," I said and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Do they do this often?" He asked and I nodded, as he walked away, the man watched.

"The man always watches over me when they leave, so the red-eyed men don't try and take me again," I said and my dad stopped.

"What?"

"This thing killed our family," Dean said ad I was knocked out of my daydream and almost hit him, I turned away.

"Just calm down-"

"You don't get it, do you? We're all in danger. You need to get yourself someplace safe."

"Not until we know what we're dealing with," Samuel said and I looked at him.

"We do, he's a demon," I said and they started talking as I thought of dad. Suddenly dean grabbed Dad's journal and I slammed my fist on it. "Dad's shit is personal, you wanna show them something-" I muttered. "From the future." I leaned in he nodded and I sighed getting up and grabbing my jacket, I saw Mary and looked at Dean who was talking, I walked into the living room and put on my jacket. "Mary," I said and she looked up at me.

"Hey." She said and I walked over.

"I'm heading out. But I wanted to ask, maybe an odd question." I said and she nodded. "John, what is he like?" I mumbled she smiled.

"He's amazing." She said. "Even after the war, he believes in love." She said and I smiled.

I'm coming to get you.

I looked up and sighed. "Y'know stay with him. He's gonna be something." I pointed at her smiling, and she laughed. "Who knows, might be the one to go to great lengths for you," I said smiling and she chuckled. "I have to go," I said and I walked to the door but she stood.

"Wait!" She yelled and I stopped. "Angels... Are real?" She asked and I nodded slowly.

"If they weren't, I wouldn't be here," I said and she stared at me, my eyes flashing blue I winked and she went wide-eyed. I walked out the door and stood on the porch, where he was at the bottom of it. "I'm sick of the family reunion," I said walking down and standing in front of him. "I wanna go home, anywhere actually," I said and he took my hand and suddenly we were standing beside the- Niagara Falls! I looked at him and he smiled as we walked to the edge to look, it was utterly gorgeous.

"You always spoke of it." He said and I smiled ear to ear. "You wanted to come here since you were little but your father always said no." He said and I looked down at my hands, his holding mine.

"And he always says no!" I yelled and he nodded along with me. I sighed and leaned against the tree. I slid down it and he crouched, I looked up to see Dean talking to that girl again. He was 14, and I was 8, I pulled my knees to my chest. "Why does he always say no," I mumbled and he nodded slowly.

"The work your father does-"

"Is important, blah blah blah!" I covered my ears tearing up. "Go away!" I said and when I looked he was gone. I sighed and looked down I saw feet walk up to me and I froze, I looked up and saw a man, I stood up slowly.

"Hello There, Darling." He spoke in an accent, and I stared at him. His eyes blinked red, and I bit my lip. "How are you?" He asked and I looked down. "Shy?" He asked and I looked away again.

"You're a bad guy," I said and he tsked.

"I'm not bad." He said and I looked at him doubtfully.

"Blue says that men with black or red eyes are bad," I said and he rolled his eyes.

"Then don't listen to blue." He said and I looked down.

"A bad guy would say that," I said and started walking away, he started following me.

"But I'm not!" He said and I shook my head. He followed me as I walked home, I took out my key and unlocked the door.

"You can't follow me in here," I said and walked in slamming the door, he said something before I was done locking it, and as I walked into the room I hummed quietly until I was grabbed, I screamed bloody murder, and as I did my eyes felt weird as I thrashed I grabbed him by the head, but it wasn't the man, it was a different one, and as I grabbed his head the door flew open, and the man's eyes and mouth glowed as I did whatever I did, he dropped with me and my dad was over to me in seconds pulling me away, I started to cry, the man's eyes were gone, and he looked dead, my dad looked horrified, and I was still thrashing he looked up seeing the boys.

"Get packed now!" He yelled and they scrambled.  I sobbed loudly and dad rocked me back and forth trying to calm me, suddenly I saw blue, but dad didn't, he put a hand on my head gently.

"You're okay." He whispered. "You did what you were supposed to." He said and I began to calm nodding over and over before submerging my face into Dad's chest.

"They always came after me," I said and he nodded.

"From birth they wanted you." He said.

"Cas..." I said. "If you can send me back in time? Can I go back in time?" I asked and he slowly nodded at me.

Chapter 4: Memory Lane.

Chapter Text

I was standing in a bar, and the calendar read 1984, 9 months before I was born in 85. I walked to the bar, ordering a drink, and suddenly Cas was next to me. "You shouldn't be here." He said.

"I do what I want. Besides, I'm only observing." I said and he looked down nodding slowly.

"Where are we?" He asked.

"The Roadhouse. Ellen and Joe's bar, 1984, the last day dad saw mom." I said. "The day I was conceived," I whispered and he looked at me confused.

"Why?"

"I wanna know how," I said.

"They had intimacy-"

"Ew!" I looked at him. "I mean how it leads to that-" I rolled my eyes and he nodded slowly. "Look-" I pointed seeing my father walk in, he looked around and came to the bar a few seats down from us, sitting, he ordered from Ellen and got his beer. He took a drink and then gave a nod, he liked it. I missed my dad, so much. He turned to look and I took a drink from my beer, casually looking down at it, he stared at me, as if he recognized me, I saw something move behind him, outside, I looked at that, and he watched and looked behind him also seeing it, he got up, and I looked at Cas, we both flashed outside and I saw John from inside turn to look at me and see I'm gone, he looked surprised but he turned and walked out.

"Castiel? Who are you loitering with? You mustn't be on earth? You have no orders to be." I heard a voice and I turned seeing- Mary.

"Meredith," Castiel spoke. "This is..." He trailed off. The angel's name was Meredith.

"A Nephilim." She said and she looked at me, then back at him. "You are not Castiel from this time." She said.

"I am not. This Nephilim brought me here. To you." He said. "She is the Nephilim you create today." He said and she looked at me, wide-eyed.

"So I am your creator." She said and smiled.

"It's called a mom but yes," I said and she nodded smiling.

"Why did you come back today?" She asked and I looked down.

"I missed my dad... And I wanted to see him... See you." I said and she smiled.

"Yes, he does end up dying. Saving his children after all." She said and I sighed, she knew. "God told me." She said and I look at her. "I haven't seen him, but he's spoken." She said and I looked down. "It's gods word. I must get going now, to do what was my purpose." She disappeared and I followed with Cas, we were at the motel, I saw her inside, and John looking at her in shock, he grabs her face, gently running his hands against her skin, and I could see him mumble 'Mary' and kisses her, I watched as he turned and moved her to a bed I couldn't see.

"No questions asked? He has sex with her?" I blurted and Cas looks at me confused. "Mom's dead! And he sees her and has sex with her!?" I turned and walked to a bench.

"Y/N, it is not sex." He said and I looked at him, he was not that innocent, he couldn't be. "It is love." He said and I froze.

"How would you know that? Angels don't feel." I said and he looked down.

"Maybe not all, don't." He said and I stared.

"Are you saying you're feeling emotions, Cas?" I asked my voice growing soft and he looked away furrowing his eyebrows seemingly thinking.

"Your father makes love to her because he loves her." He said. "That's all." He said and I slowly nodded. "Besides it is not the first time he has had intimacy with someone who resembles your mother." He said and I stared at him.

"Repeat yourself," I said and he looked at me.

"I said, it is not the first time he has had intimacy with someone who resembles your mother." He said louder, and I stared at him. "Or has another love child-"

"HE HAS ANOTHER KID!?" I screamed and he looked rather shocked.

"One that was not left at a motel doorstep, yes." He said in a frustrated tone.

"I come here for a sense of relief, and because of you I'm left in more of a confused state than ever." I looked down. I looked away. "Why are you always so cryptic, or dropping bombshells on me?" I mumbled. "Just like when i was younger."

"Y/N." He spoke in a calmer tone than before. The year was 2000 and I didn't look at him as I held my bleeding hand. I was 15, I had just got attacked by another demon, and he was refusing to heal me.

"Why?" I asked and he looked down.

"I... I can't. I never have been able unless you're dying." He said.

"I'm gonna be dead if I don't clean this mess up," I yelled and he slacked his shoulders. "Dad doesn't know I can still do this," I said and he looked at the body.

"I can take it away." He said and I looked at him. "Just... Here." He walked over to the drawer, snapping his fingers, an orange in his hand, he cuts it, and I walk over watching, he then takes my hand and squeezes blood dripping on the orange, and knife, he takes the knife running it along with the cut as if it was what hurt me. "Your father doesn't have to know." He said giving me chills, a secret from dad? He put the knife down, snapped his fingers and the broken furniture was fixed then he grabbed his body, and both he and the body was gone.

I stood there and looked at my bleeding hand and that was when the door opened and I heard laughter, I looked up to see dad and Dean walking in, chuckling about something, they looked at me and froze. "Y/N! What happened!?" They yelled in unison rushing over and I choked up.

"I-I..." I looked at the orange Cas cut. "I was cutting an orange... I'm okay." I said and they looked too and dad slacked.

"Here hon, let's wrap your hand." Dad took my hand and sat me down. That was the beginning of him helping me cover things up, even after he stopped coming around things would magically get fixed. He was the angel taking care of me.

"How come you never... Felt feelings?" I mumbled.

"I-I wasn't meant to." He sat next to me on the bench.

"Not frustration? Empathy? Love? Nothing?" I whispered and he looked at me.

"You have frustrated me." He said and I giggled. "You have made feel... Empathy for you." He said and I looked at him smiling. "But Love... Is not something I know of..." He whispered. "Or understand..." I frowned a little. "The feeling... Can be felt by an angel, I have witnessed it." He said and I looked at him.

"Witnessed?"

"Long ago an angel fell in love with a human... We believed he and the woman carried a child. So we went to take care of it, we had to hold him as others went for both her and the child... Who by our mistake... Was not a Nephilim and was killed, as well as the woman. The angel... Hid away from all of us." He said and I stared. "I know it is... Close in proximity to you. I'm sorry." He said and I sighed shrugging.

"I don't get it," I said and he tilted his head. "How come I'm alive then? If Nephilims are so bad!" I said and he reached down and took my hand into his.

"Because God spoke it." He said. "And the angels were ordered to watch over you, me as your guardian." He whispered and I looked down.

"Dean always said Angles were watching over me," I said. "He never knew how true," I whispered.

"You are meant to be alive." He said I looked at him, and he looked up. "I must go... Let me take you back." He held his hand out and I took it, and there we were in the motel where the boys slept. "I'll see you soon." He whispered to me as he disappeared, I looked down huffing.

"You left me in the wrong room..." I mumbled and I heard his chuckle in my ears, making me shiver. Suddenly dean shot up aiming his gun at me. "Woah there brother!" I said and he sighed putting it down.

"What are you doing..." He whispered and I walked to his bed and crawled in, kicking my boots off.

"I can move through time, okay? So I wanted to go back and see who... My biological mom was." I said and he turned to look at me, sitting up.

"Well??" He waved his hands.

"It was... Mom." I said and he stiffened. "Mary." I saw Sam sit up too, he was listening.

"Wait, mom- like Mom- Mom?"

"Yes and no- it was an angel who... Took her for a John, joy ride." I mumbled and they both groaned. "But I guess we're cut from the same cloth after all," I said and they hummed. "It was a surprise Y'know?" I whispered and they nodded, Sam got up and came over to deans bed to lay beside me too, we used to do this when I was little. "I got to talk to her- not Mary but... Meredith." I said. "In Mom's body," I said and they looked at me.

"Meredith?" Sam mumbled. "The angel?" He asked and I nodded.

"Yeah, Cas and I-"

"Cas?" Sam mumbled. "You've met Castiel?" He asked and I huffed.

"I'll explain later," I said.

Chapter 5: Legend of Samhain.

Chapter Text

"You two remember my childhood imaginary friend Blue," I said and they both nodded as we drove. "Well turns out Castiel is Blue," I said and they both turned back to look at me, Sam longer than Dean. "He said he was assigned to me upon birth, my... Guardian angel." I said and Sam turned more Dean chuckled. "Like literally!" I said. "How many times did you two abandon me? He was always the one to pop up and sit with me. So the black and red-eyed men didn't come and scoop me up like the multiple times they tried." I said and Sam looked away guilty, he huffed, he was the one who left me alone the most. "Damn Cas walked me home more times than you guys did."

"Okay, we get it!" Dean groaned. "We sucked as brothers." He said and I hummed. "Anyway, he's been around you your whole life-"

"Well until I didn't need him anymore," I said frowning. "Anyway, Halloween is in 3 days, and I heard about this guy," I said and they hummed. "Luke Wallace Choked on 4 razors after eating one piece of candy," I said turning my laptop, "A candy out of a brand new bought that day bin candy," I said and they hummed.

"Looks like we got a case," Dean said pressing on the gas.

Dean was the one to find the first hex bag, so it was a matter of time before the next body popped up, and it did, fast, that same night a girl died at a party from drowning... In a bobbing-for-apples bin- that boiled her skin in the process. I followed Dean to the girl dressed as a cheerleader.

"You wouldn't happen to know Luke Wallace?" Dean asked and she looked at us as we pulled out ID. "Agent Seger."

"Agent White," I said.

"Whos Luke Wallace?" She asked.

"He died yesterday," I said and she shrugged.

"I don't know who that is." She said blatantly. I looked behind me seeing Sam holding a hex bag, and I hummed. We went back to the hotel and Dean and I sat together doing Vic's research.

"I'm telling you guys, these Vics are squeaky clean!" Dean sighed.

"I don't know, this case isn't screaming- vengeance of the witch!" I said and Sam pointed at me.

"Maybe because it's not about that." He got up and came to the table sitting next to me.

"Insightful!" Dean said sarcastically.

"Maybe this witch isn't working a grudge, it's working a spell." He said and I hummed.

"Wait wait! That uh... Halloween one?" I asked and Sam nodded.

"Three blood sacrifices over three days. The last before midnight-"

"On the day of the final harvest." I finished and dean looked confused. "In the Celtic calendar it's Halloween night," I said and he hummed.

"What are the sacrifices for?" Dean asked.

"The rising of a demon, of Samhain. See dean he's the origin of Halloween!" I said and Sam nodded.

"The celts believed that Halloween was the one night a year the veil between the dead and the living was the thinnest," Sam explained. "It was Samhain night, masks were put on to hide from him, sweets left on doorsteps to appease him faces carved on pumpkins to worship him." He said and I hummed.

"Turnips... Actually." I mumbled and Sam rolled his eyes. "He was exorcised centuries ago," I said and Dean hummed.

"So even though he took a ride downstairs the tradition stuck?" He asked.

"Becoming modernized of course. I bet you the majority of the bunch doesn't even know the origin of Halloween let alone how it became what it is today." I hummed. "Samhain was feared because he was the closest thing to a devil to mortal people," I said and

"This ritual can only be performed every 600 years," Sam said.

"And 600 years rolls around..."

"Tomorrow," Sam said and I huffed.

"Course..."

"So why is he so big and bad? He's just one guy?" Dean said.

"Once summoned, he can summon things on his own," Sam explained.

"Zombies, ghosts, ghouls..." I mumbled.

"Leprechauns?" Dean mumbled. "Those things are scary... Small hands." He hummed and I rolled my eyes.

"It starts with ghosts and ghouls, but then it gets bigger and worse... Until everything we've ever faced is in one spot raising hell." I said.

Later I sat in the car with dean eating candy, I popped a Twix while dean was on the phone, and I saw the blonde cheerleader from the other murder, I slapped deans chest and pointed and he mumbled. "Son of a bitch." And I hummed.

"Who's Luke Wallace my ass," I said and he hummed. We went home as fast as we could and I burst in.

"She's the fucking babysitter!" I said and Sam hummed. "She had all the time in the world to put that bag there," I said flopping into the bed.

"Interesting look for a centuries-old witch." Sam hummed.

"Yeah well... If you were a centuries-old witch and could pick any costume, wouldn't you go for a hot cheerleader?" He asked and I hummed. "I would..." He then zoned outgoing somewhere after saying that.

"Fucking weirdo," I said and he looked back at me.

"Well, looks like Tracy isn't clean, she got into an altercation with a teacher at school and got suspended." He said showing us the file and I hummed.

"You guys go talk to him, I gotta clean up in my room," I said and they nodded getting up. I went to my room next door and took a shower and when I walked out I jumped seeing Cas, I held the towel I had wrapped around me tighter.

"Gosh! Cas, you scared me." I said walking to my duffle bag beside him on the bed.

"My apologies..." He mumbled and I hummed. "I wanted to look and make sure you were safe." He said and I hummed pulling my clothes out, he was just standing looking at me

"That so?" I asked. "Why would I be unsafe?" I inquired and he hummed.

"The witch." He said. "Your brothers are returning soon so I very well just tell you then." He said and I hummed.

"Well we can go together, just turn around so I can get dressed," I said and he hummed.

"Of course." He turned around and I pulled on my clothes quickly. Grabbing my gun and sorts and then grabbing his hand. Suddenly we were in the boy's room and I hummed, he sat down on the bed and pulled me to sit with him, so I did, still holding his hand. "Y/N... This is Uriel." He said and I stiffened, seeing a man standing at the windows. "Say hello Uriel," Cas said and Uriel hummed.

"Hello, Nephilim." He said and Cas look upset at that, he squeezed my hand.

"Don't be rude," Cas mumbled and I smiled, suddenly the door opened and Sam was the first to walk in.

"Who are you!?" He yelled pulling out his gun. "Who are you!?" He hadn't seen me because I was blocked by the wall.

"Sam! Sam!" Both Dean and I yelled, I moved so he could see me and he relaxed.

"This is Cas," I said and he lowered his gun. Cas stood pulling me with him.

"Him I don't know," Dean said pointing at Uriel.

"Hello, Sam," Cas said turning to face him keeping me in hand, I could help but like how it felt.

"Oh my god- I mean- I didn't mean- sorry! It's an honour! Really. I've heard a lot about you." Sam held a hand out to shake after his stammering, Cas looked at it for a moment.

"Shake," I whispered and he hummed, releasing my hand to shake Sam's, taking hold of it.

"And I, you," Cas said. "Sam Winchester, The boy with the demon blood. I'm glad to hear you've ceased your extracurricular activities." He said and I smiled.

"Let's keep it that way..." Uriel mumbled.

"Yeah okay chuckles," Dean said. "Whos your friend?" He asked.

"Rising of Samhain, have you stopped it?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Why?" Dean asked.

"Have you located the witch?" He asked again and dean hummed.

"Yes, we've located the witch?" He said and I felt Cas slip his hand into mine again.

"Is the witch dead?" He asked and I shook my head.

"No, but we know who it is," I said and he looked at me, his eyes looking conflicted. "The witch knows who you are too." He said pulling me to the bed and setting me on the bed, picking up the hex bag. "This was inside the walls of the hotel room, if we hadn't found it surely either or both of you would be dead. Y/N's room however was empty." He said and I hummed confused, Dean and I shared a look. "Do you know where the witch is?"

"We're working on it," Dean said.

"That's unfortunate," Castiel said and I looked at him confused.

"Why do you care?!" Dean said getting upset.

"The rising of Samhain is one of the 66 seals." He said and I hummed.

"So this is about you buddy Lucifer?" Dean asked.

"Lucifer is no friend of ours," Uriel said and I hummed.

"It's an expression Uriel," I said and he was silent.

"The rising of Samhain must be prevented, and avoided at any cost." He said touching my cheek before turning away, he was so touchy recently.

"Okay great," Dean said. "So why don't you tell us where the witch is and we'll Gank her." He said and Cas looked down.

"We are not omniscient. This witch is very powerful. She's cloaked even to our methods." He said and I hummed.

"We know who she is so if we work together-" Sam tried.

"Enough of this," Uriel demanded.

"Okay, who are you and why should I care!?" Dean yelled getting even more upset. That caused Uriel to turn around and look at Cas.

"This is Uriel," Cas said. "He's what you might call a specialist."

"What kind?" I asked and Cas looked at me, I could see he was upset about something.

"What are you gonna do?" Dean asked.

"You." Cas looked at me. "All of you." He looked at my brothers. "Need to leave this town immediately."

"Why Cas?" I mumbled standing up.

"We're going to destroy it." He said and I grabbed his hand.

"You can't do that!"

"We can... Actually." Uriel said.

"What that's your plan!? To smite the whole friggin town??" Dean said waving his arms out.

"We're out of time. This witch has to die. The seal must be saved." Cas said looking at me.

"There are 1000 people here!" Sam said.

"1214." Uriel corrected.

"You're gonna kill them all!?" I looked at Uriel.

"This isn't the first time I've... Purified a city, Nephilim." He said addressing me.

"Look... I understand this is regrettable." Cas said and I pulled on his jacket.

"This is more than regrettable Castiel," I said.

"We have to hold the line," He spoke softer to me. "Too many seals have broken." He said and I looked away.

"So you screw the pooch on some seals and this town has to pay the price?" Dean asked angrily.

"It's the lives of 1000 compared to 6 billion," Cas said looking at dean, his voice hardening again. "There's a bigger picture."

"Right," Dean said sarcastically. "Because you're bigger picture kinda guys."

"Lucifer cannot rise." Cas stepped closer to Dean, seemingly getting upset with my brother, leaving me behind him slightly. "He does and hell rises with him." He said sounding aggressive and I gulped. "Is that something you're willing to risk?"

"So we find the witch and kill her, your seal won't be broken and no one has to die!" Sam said.

"We're wasting our time with these... Mud monkeys and abomination." Uriel said and I glared at him.

"No, you can't do this!" Sam said and was turned away from my brothers, facing me, that's when I saw- emotion, his face was sad, he wore a frown and his eyes seemed conflicted. "You're angels!" Sam said and the sadness got worse. "You're not supposed to,-" Uriel then laughed- could have been right in Sam's face it would hurt the same for my religious brother. "You're supposed to show mercy!" Sam said, he sounded so wounded.

"Says who?" Uriel said with sass.

"We have no choice," Cas said I looked at him, and he started back at me.

"Of course, you have a choice. I mean come on, what you've never questioned a crap order?" Dean scoffed. "Are you just a couple of hammers?"

"Did you ever question our father dean?" I asked and he looked at me. "Why would they question theirs?"

"Even if you can't understand it, have faith." Cas held my cheek and I looked at him. "The plan is just." He looked at my brothers.

"How can you even say that!?" Sam asked.

"It comes from heaven, that makes it just."

"Well, it must be nice to be so sure of yourselves," Dean said bitterly.

"Just as your sister said when your father gave an order, did you question it, didn't you obey?" He asked and Dean was silent, looking at me.

"Well... Sorry boys, plans have changed."

"You think you can stop us?" Uriel asked Dean.

"No." Dean stepped to him. "But if you're going to smite this town... Then you'll have to smite us with it because we ain't leaving." He hummed. "You went through the trouble of busting me out of hell... I figure I mean something to the man upstairs. You wanna waste me? See how he digs that." Dean said and Uriel hummed.

"I will drag you out of here myself."

"Then you'll have to kill me, and then we're back to square one. I mean come on- you're gonna wipe out a whole town because of one little witch?" Dean hummed. "Sounds to me like you're compensating for something-"

Chapter 6: You Are Your Own Person.

Chapter Text

"Dean," I said.

"We can do this. We will find that witch and we will stop the summoning." Dean said and I huffed.

"Castiel! I will not let these-"

"Enough!" Cas ordered and as he did I felt all tingly. Uriel was suddenly gone and Castiel hummed. "I suggest you move quickly." He said and then turned to me, grabbing my cheeks and pushing his forehead into mine.

Your brother has made orders. Follow his whim. I will see you soon.

"Yes, Castiel," I mumbled to him, looking into his eyes and then Castiel was gone. I felt so... Weird, but close to him at that moment- we were growing closer the more we learned of each other's true ways.

"What the fuck was that?" Dean asked and I looked at him.

"He gave me directions," I said and he tilted his head. I shook my head. "We gotta find the witch," I said and we left the room. We got into the car and I noticed Sam, looking conflicted. "Sammy, you okay?" I asked and he hummed.

"I'm just... I thought they'd be different." Sam said.

"Who, the angels?" Dean inquired.

"Yeah."

"I tried to tell you," Dean said and Sam huffed.

"I thought they'd be... Righteous... Or even caring and thoughtful like Y/N." He said and I smiled.

"They are righteous. That's the problem. There's nothing more dangerous than an Asshole who thinks he's on a holy mission." Dean said and I hummed.

"But this- this is God and heaven? This is what I've been praying to?" Sam mumbled.

"Look man, I know you're into that whole God thing." Dean sighed. "Jesus on a tortilla and all that but... Just cause there are a couple of bad apples doesn't mean the whole barrel is rotten, look at Y/N, she's part angel and she's a sweetheart."

"Try praying to me." I giggled and Sam laughed.

"Maybe I will," Sam mumbled. "I know you aren't rotten." He said and I smiled.

"Look, Sam, for all we know God hates these jerks."

"Just don't give up on all this stuff," I added. "All I know is... Cas was acting differently in there. For all we know, what we just saw was a couple of businessmen doing what they were told, but underneath all that... I don't know about Uriel, but Castiel is a loving angel, he checks up on me all the time." I said, Sam looked back at me. "He cares about this town, I felt it," I said and he nodded. "Now we should get going before any more time is wasted," I said

"Yeah, you gonna find a way to find this witch or are you gonna just keep fingering your bone," Dean asked as Sam looked at the bone, it hit me.

"Sam, Dean?" I asked and they looked at me. "Did the art teacher have pottery kilns?" I asked and they nodded.

"Wait Y/N..." Sam mumbled. "You're right."

"What?" Dean mumbled.

"Yknow how much heat it would take to char a bone like that? More than the average fire." I said.

"So?"

"We make a stop," I said. When walking into the art class dean started questioning.

"So what? Tracy used the kilns." He said and I hummed.

"Dean, the hex bag wasn't there after talking to the girl, it was there after you two came back from the teacher... Plus it wasn't in my room, it was in yours, I didn't go with you two to talk to him." I said and dean looked at me.

"So it's the art teacher?" Dean asked Sam grabbed a mallet and crouched by a locked drawer.

"Sam," I said and he looked at me, I reached down and ripped the lock off. He stared at it and hummed before opening the drawer revealing a bowl of bones. "Those are all from children," I whispered. We went to the teacher's home, I froze at the door. "I can't go in," I said and they looked at me. "Remember how Castiel said she's cloaked the angel's methods?" I asked and they nodded. "It's because they know Enochian. The house is covered in angel-repelling sigils." I said looking at the sigils and they looked.

"I don't see anything." They said.

"Only I can. Half angel and all... I physically can't get in." I said grabbing the door knob which shocked me, and I hissed in pain, it fucking hurt.

"Go wait in the car then," Dean said and I nodded.

"Okay," I said and walked to the car as they ran in, I huffed, it was so weird being supernaturally locked out. While waiting I felt the ground shake suddenly, but then stop. I looked at the house waiting. Soon I saw the teacher leave the house and walk down the street, I was confused, I saw them run out, blood all over their faces and they ran to the car getting in. "What the fuck happened!?" I yelled.

"They were both witches. Turns out it was a two-way street, so we were caught off guard and she managed to summon Samhain, he possessed the teacher's corpse." Dean explained as they drove. I hummed.

"So this demon is pretty powerful," Sam said and I groaned.

"Yeah."

"Might need more than the usual exorcism."

"Sam no, don't even think about it, we aren't using your psychic whatever."

"Why?"

"The angels said so!"

"Stop!" I yelled and they both looked at me. "You both are right we'll need more power than Ruby's knife. But like fucking hell you're using your psychic shit."

"Then what do you suggest??" Sam yelled at me.

"Me you dumbass!" I yelled. "I can kill him just by slapping my hand on his forehead," I said slapping Sam on the forehead. "We are not risking you using your powers. Okay? The angels are highly against it, and obviously, they know more than us. End of story." I yelled, I grabbed Ruby's knife and held it to Sam. "He'll start raising shit so you'll still need this," I said and he took it, he looked so upset. We got to the cemetery and walked down the stairs, the door was locked and a bunch of kids were locked in.

"Help them," Sam said before running off and I cursed.

"Back up!" Dean yelled and they all did, he shot the lock and it opened all the kids ran out and away, where Dean and I were faced with a bunch of zombies. I couldn't leave dean alone so I did help, killing them and fighting the other monsters that were raised. "Dean someone needs to help sam!" I yelled and he nodded.

"It's okay, I got this, you go help sam!" He ordered, nodding I ran to find them, and when I did, I saw sam holding Samhain in his psychic grasp, trying to exorcise him with his mind, I growled, it was like he wanted to use his powers, Dean ran up beside me and froze, but I didn't freeze, I ran up behind Samhain and slapped my hand over his mouth and head, his eyes flashing white as I killed him right then and there, the body flopped to the ground and sam looked at me wide-eyed, blood dripping from his nose. I turned away from Sam, walking away and leaving the cemetery.

I sat in my room, hearing a flutter of wings, I looked seeing Uriel. "Uriel?" I whispered and he hummed.

"Nephilim... I'm not here to praise you but... Stopping your brother from going through with his use of his powers and killing Samhain was a good call on your end." He said and I hummed.

"My name is Y/N," I said and he stared at me, then he was gone. I huffed and crawled into bed, hearing another flutter I turned and saw Castiel laying there next to me. "Cas?" I whispered and he nodded at me. "Why did you tell me to listen to Dean?" I asked.

"Our true orders were not to stop Samhain but to follow Dean's orders." He said and I hummed, getting closer to him.

"Okay, that's why you told me too?" I asked and he pulled me to him, nodding, I put my head on his chest humming.

"That and... We wanted to see how you would do with having orders." He said and I hummed. "Your brother may have not passed the test but... You did." He said. "Every order your brother gave you, you followed without question." He said and I looked down.

"He's my brother," I said. "That doesn't mean I'll be taking any orders from the likes of angels."

"You took mine." He said looking me in the eyes.

"You're different," I said and he hummed.

"How am I different?" He asked.

"You're..." I looked at him. "You're different," I said. "You're you," I said and he hummed.

"I don't understand."

"You talk to me, do you talk to the others this way?"

"No."

"Why?"

"Because you're..." He trailed off seeing what I meant.

"We're comfortable with each other Castiel, this makes it easier for us... We..."

"Have trust." He finished looking at me. "Y/N, I prayed Dean to choose to save this town..."

"You love your father's creations Castiel, I knew the whole time you didn't want to smite this town," I said putting my hands on his chest as he wrapped around my waist. "You question... Don't you?" I asked and he nodded.

"I question every order given to me... And I do not know why. I fear what will happen if I continue."

"Maybe if you question it, it just means you're like me," I whispered. "Your, own, person. Who said you had to obey without thought?" I asked and he opened his mouth, before closing it. "Castiel," I whispered as he pushed me down, he was above me, pushing his forehead into mine. "I am here with every decision you make... I'll follow your orders, and only yours," I said and he looked me in the eyes.

"Y/N." He mumbled and I nodded, but suddenly he was gone and the door swung open as my arms flopped to my side.

"Raise and shine sweetheart!" Dean yelled. I sighed.

****

I sat at the bar, listening to angel radio, while my brothers worked the men at the pool table. They kept vaguely mentioning a girl name, Anna Milton... "Can we talk?" I heard and I looked next to me.

"Ruby?" I whispered and she nodded. "You got some nerve showing up around us," I said and she huffed.

"I just have some info that seems like your thing okay?" She asked and that's when I saw my brothers walking over.

"You got-"

"I already did that Dean," I said and he sighed. "Speak up or forever hold your peace," I said sarcastically and she looked at me.

"I'm hearing whispers."

"Oh great! Demon whispers!" Dean said and I shoved him.

"Keep going," I said.

"A girl named Anna Milton escaped from a psych ward today, the demons are pretty keen on finding her." She said. "Some heavy hitters are turning up for the easter egg hunt."

"Why who is she?" Sam asked.

"No idea but I'm thinking she's really important because the order is to capture her alive," Ruby said. "I just figured you would wanna find her before the demons do."

"Maybe we should check it out," Sam said and before Dean said any snarky remarks I said.

"We are checking it out. Thanks, Ruby." I said and she looked at me nodding.

While driving there it was silent and Dean spoke. "Just because Anna is real doesn't mean the case is."

"Actually..." I whispered and I saw Dean look at me. "I didn't wanna mention it in front of Ruby but... The angels are naming her too," I said and he tensed at that. "They want her alive too," I said and Dean went quiet. "So no more fighting, I decided this," I said and they both nodded. We were in the hospital 3 days later, I was looking around adjusting my coat.

"Of course, I wanna help in whatever way I can!" She said and Sam hummed.

"The orderly has no recollection of her escape?" I asked as I turned there and she nodded.

"She had knocked him unconscious." She said as I continued to look around. "The blow had caused some amnesia." She said and I saw some powder on the window seal. I pulled out a ziplock and pushed it into it, smelling it and getting a whiff of sulphur, I stifled my reaction. "He doesn't even remember coming into the room."

"One hell of a right hook," Dean said.

"To knock out a guy who's got 80 pounds on her especially," I added putting the bag into my pocket and walking to Dean.

"We believe she may have planned it, waited behind the door." She said and we followed her into the hall.

"You mentioned Anna's illness was recent," Sam said.

"Two months ago she was happy and well-adjusted." She said. "Journalism major, lots of friends, bright future."

"So what happened she just flipped?" Dean asked.

"That's the tragedy of schizophrenia." She sighed. "In weeks Anna was overtaken by delusions." She said.

"What kind of delusions?" I asked and she sighed.

"She thought demons were everywhere." She said and handed me her sketchbook.

"So did her delusions have religious undertones?" I asked and she nodded.

"It's not uncommon for patients to believe monsters are real." As I flipped through it, I saw the symbol of the rising of the witnesses, I discretely elbowed Dean and he looked biting his lip. Then I flipped again revealing Samhain. I hummed. "It's the revelations."

"Since when does the book of revelations have jack-o-lanterns?" She asked looking at me.

"Ma'am if she believed monsters were real and the apocalypse, was happening wouldn't she depict it in a modern outlook? Such as Samhain, the DEMON from the origin of Halloween, coming to the modern time of Halloween?" I asked and she straightened out. "I don't think she would be drawing things, not of her time," I said and she looked away seemingly embarrassed.

"Well anyway- Anna's father was a church deacon, so when she became ill her paranoia took over the religious undertones as you had mentioned." She said. "She believed the devil was to rise and end the world. I hope you find her." She said.

"May we use this as evidence?" I asked and she nodded waving her hands.

"Yes, we have our copies." She said and I nodded closing it and holding it under my arm. We went to the Milton's home next, and we knocked to no answer.

"Maybe-"

"Both cars in the driveway..." I said. "I'll go in and look." I was inside in a blink of an eye, walking into the living room and seeing them lying there dead, I saw a pile of sulphur on the ground next to them and I sighed and walked to the door opening it. "They're dead," I said and they stiffened. "Demons," I said and let them in, they saw the bodies and Sam pointed at the pile and I nodded. I pulled the bag from Anna's room at the hospital. "Just like in Anna's room," I said holding it up and they huffed.

"Alright so, I'm a girl and I know the score of the apocalypse. Just busted out of the nut box." Dean mumbled and I picked up a family photo of them at the church. "Possibly using superpowers by the way. Where would I go?"

"How about church?" I asked and they looked at me and I held it up pointing at the window. "The house of God maybe?" I asked and they sighed. "It's her drawings," I said and that was out next stop. I popped into the room the boys were headed to. "Anna," I said and saw her moving behind a Stain glass piece. "You don't have to be afraid," I said and that's when they came in. "My name Is Y/N. These are my brothers, Sam and Dean." I said as they put their guns down

"Sam? Not Winchester?" She asked and I hummed.

"Yes Winchester," I said and she walked out.

"That means... You're Y/N? The angel?" She asked and I nodded. "And your Dean? The Dean?" She asked

"Well- yeah." Dean hummed smiling. "The Dean I guess." He said and I rolled my eyes.

"It's you, oh my God." She said. "The angels talk about you, you were in hell but Castiel pulled you out. Some of them think you can save us." She said and she looked at sam.

"And you... Some of them don't like you at all." She said. "And Y/N..." She took my hands. "Some believe you will be the new order. Some fear you, but you are an angel. Nonetheless." She said looking at me. "Can you protect me?" She asked and I nodded.

"From the demons. Yes." I said, her smile growing.

"They never stop talking about you three... I feel like I know you." She said and I smiled.

"Wait so you talk to the angels."

"Oh no! No, no way, they probably don't know I exist, I just overhear them." She said.

"They do know you exist," I said and she looked at me. "You mustn't hear it all," I said. "But you listen in?" I asked and she nodded.

"Yeah, they just talk... And I listen... In my head." She said.

"Like... Right now?"

"No." We both said in unison.

"She hears what I hear, it's silent right now, and it turns off and on."

"So they lock you up with the case of the crazies but you're...."

"Just tuning in," I said as I pulled her to me, she wrapped her arm around me smiling.

"Yes. Thank you." She said looking at us.

"When did these start?" Sam asked.

"I can say exactly, September 18th." She said and I looked at Dean.

"Day I got out of hell." Dean hummed.

"First words I heard clear as a bell. 'Dean Winchester is Saved.'"

"First night Castiel came to me and told me my big brother was saved," I said and she looked at me. "The day my powers reactivated," I said.

"What do you think?" Dean asked us.

"I think it's above my pay grade."

"That's why you don't get paid," I said and he glared at me. "It's understandable now, the demons get ahold of you, they'll have a direct line to angel radio."

"1.900 angels." Dean joked and she smiled.

"Hey, do you if my parents are okay?" As she asked me Ruby burst in.

"You got the girl? Good, let's go!"

"OH MY GOD HER FACE!" Anna freaked and I turned her so she could only see me.

"It's okay, she's helping, just breathe... I see it too." I said and she nodded slowly.

"Y/N get her out of here!" Ruby said and I looked at her.

"I feel it..." I said pointing at Mother Mary that was crying blood and Dean looked at me. "Well be... Somewhere." I said to Dean and he nodded, I pulled her to me and I fluttered out with her.

Chapter 7: Fall.

Chapter Text

We were at the cabin. She looked around and I smiled. "You're safe," I said and she nodded sitting down. Ruby showed up not too long later. "Ruby, you need to smoke out and find a way to let the boys we're here," I said and she nodded, sitting down and smoking out.

"So she's not like other demons?" She asked and I nodded.

"You can never be too careful though," I said. When the boys came back, we had our small reunion that was when Anna looked at me.

"Would it be safe to make a quick call just to let my parents know I'm safe?" She asked and I sighed. "They must be freaked out." She said and I looked down.

"Anna. We stopped at your home before we found you." I said and she nodded. "You're parents..."

"What about them?" She said I could tell she was getting upset.

"I'm so sorry Anna... They're no longer here." I said and she gasped, covering her mouth she started crying, and I pulled her to me.

Y/N. Give Anna over to us.

I looked up and stood up. "Anna come," I said and she looked at me, she had heard it too. "They're coming," I told them and I put Anna in the back room but she grabbed me.

"No, stay!" She said and I sighed.

"Dean and Sam you deal with them!" I said and I closed the door hiding with her, I pulled out my knife and cut my hand.

"What are you doing?" She whispered.

"It's a sigil, to repel angels," I said.

Y/N, she needs to die.

"No!" I said my eyes flashing blue and she looked at me confused. "You aren't killing her. She is innocent." I said.

She's far from it.

"Even so!" I growled slamming my hand on the sigil and I heard screeches, I sighed and the boys opened the door seeing blood.

"Y/N!" Dean ran overseeing the mirror. "Did- did you kill them?" He asked grabbing my bleeding hand.

"No. Castiel taught me if I ever wanted to send angels back to heaven who was... Trying to hurt me." I said as he wrapped my hand.

"She was talking to him." She said. "Like out loud but- sending the message, I heard her over angel radio." She said and I sighed.

I thought you said you would follow my orders.

I heard Castiel, from heaven, he sounded hurt.

Not the Unjust ones. I replied, sounding hurt as well. Why Cas? Why must she die?

She isn't what you think she is. She has committed the worse crime imaginable.

"What's happening to her?" Ruby asked as I looked at her she flinched.

"Castiel is communicating with me," I said.

"I-I don't hear it?" Anna asked.

"Because Castiel and I have a direct line to each other..." I said and she nodded.

"Wait so all those times you just zone out, you're talking to Cas?" Dean asked and I nodded.

"I'm blocking him out right now," I said and turned to leave the room. I took us all back to Bobby's after that, and Dean took her down to the panic room, I went up to my old room, which was surprisingly still step up, I smiled, sat down on the bed and looked around, I rubbed my face and I sighed.

I'm sorry Castiel.

"Y/N! Come down here! Pamela is coming!" Sam yelled and I sighed, walking down to the basement again I stood behind them all, I felt bad for Pamela. I partially blamed myself for her eyes because I didn't stop Cas.

"We're here!" Dean called as they came down.

"Pamela! Hey!" Sam ran over.

"Sam? Sam? Is that you Sam?" She said I could tell she was messing around with him.

"Yeah! Yeah, it's me!"

"Yeah?" She mumbled. "You know how I can tell?" She asked as she gripped his ass. "That perky little ass of yours! Could bounce a nickel off that thing." She said and he hummed. "Of course I know it's you grumpy! The same way I know that's a demon and that poor girl is Anna, and-" she choked, her head faced me, and I looked away. "Is that Y/N?" She asked and Sam nodded.

"Yeah? How can you tell?" He asked and she stayed silent for a minute.

"Her energy is stronger... She's... Half what again?" She asked.

"Angel," I said and she hummed. "I'll leave," I said but before fluttering away, I went invisible. Looking at them.

"She's grown in strength... I could barely tell it was her." Pamela said.

"What's wrong with Y/N?" Anna asked and Pamela walked over.

"Well the reason I'm here, I would do anything to fuck over an angel because of what they took from me. Y/N being half angel blames herself for it... She believes it could have been avoided if she would have just told us from the start if shed not listened to her buddy Castiel..." She explained and Sam and Dean looked shocked. "That's why she's still here. Watching us without our knowledge, she wants to see what I'd say... I would say that I don't blame her. She was born the way she was and did not influence what happened." She said taking her glasses off and revealing her white plastic eyes, and I left with that, I sat on the roof, laying there. As I lay there, I dozed off, and the moment I did, I was with Castiel, in the barn.

"Y/N." He said stepping toward me and I frowned.

"I'm sorry," I said. "But she's just an-"

"She's an angel." He said and I froze. "One that disobeyed and ripped out their grace and fell to earth." He said and I looked down. "Just like Lucifer." He said and I turned away.

"That's why you want her so bad."

"Yes... I thought you deserved an explanation on my end."

"Do you know her?" I asked and he nodded.

"Yes, she was my boss... We were together in the same foxhole." He said and I sighed. "I have the order to uphold... And I wanted you to know I understand why you did what you did." He turned me around to face him, and I looked at him. I hugged him then, he hesitated before hugging me back.

"Have... Have you ever hugged anyone before?" I asked and he shook his head.

"Never." He said and I smiled. "It's nice." He added I looked up at him, and he looked down at me.

"Why did she fall?" I asked and he touched my cheek.

"She wanted freedom." He said and I stared at him, his pupils widening as he looked at me.

"Freedom... Is nice." I said and he pursed his lips together. I reached up and touched his hand that lay on my cheek before I felt like I was leaning into him and suddenly I sat up on the roof waking up fast. I was frozen for a while until I heard Sam.

"Y/N!" I looked down seeing him walking along the path so I slid down and jumped off, landing beside him.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Anna-"

"Is an angel, I know now," I said and he sighed. "I had a conversation with Castiel," I said.

"What? Where?" He asked and I sighed.

"I fell asleep and he visited my dream," I said and he hummed.

"What did you speak about?" He asked and I hummed.

"Anna... Why she fell." I said. "And we communicated about our actions," I said. "Why they were ordered to kill her," I explained. "And other things," I said and he stared at me.

"Okay... Well, we found her grace, are you-"

"No. Go without me." I said turning away.

"Y/N?" He asked and I froze up. "I'm sorry you had to do that to Cas." He said and I looked at him. "But things are okay? You said you communicated, why are you still sad?" He asked and I frowned.

"I'm not sad Sammy," I said and he huffed. "I'm scared. I just want everyone, including Anna to be okay." I said and he nodded. "Call me when you get there," I said and he nodded.

"I will." He said and I turned to flash into the house, I sat on the couch, and I heard someone clear their throat, I turned to see Anna.

"Hello..." She mumbled cautiously.

"We were both born human Anna, no need to be cautious," I said and I saw her relax a bit. "What do you need?" I asked and she shook her head.

"I don't need anything I just... Sam said you talked to Castiel." She said and I hummed.

"Yes," I said. "He told me of your... foxhole," I said.

"Was there anything bad... He said?"

"That you disobeyed and fell as Lucifer had... But other than that... No. Just that you were his boss." I said looking out the window at the night sky.

"Castiel was my favourite... He loves humanity just as much as I do." She said sitting. "I wouldn't be surprised if he was to fall one day." She said and I hummed.

"Maybe then he wouldn't be so sad," I said and she looked at me confused. "Every time he talks to me about his orders, he gets... Sad." I shrugged.

"Anna. Let's go!" Dean yelled and she stood.

"I must go."

"Go," I said and she turned to leave. I laid back there on the couch looking at the stars through the window waiting to sleep. When I did I started having a nightmare but I was suddenly ripped from it to me laying in bed, Castiel laying next to me, looking at me. "I'm dreaming still..."

"Yes. You were having a nightmare. I didn't want you to have one..." He said and I smiled and moved closer to him, cuddling into him as I had after the Samhain stuff.

"Thanks," I said and he wrapped his arm around me. "Can I just... Rest with you? I haven't slept properly in so..." I huffed a yawn. "So long." I finished and he nodded touching my hair. He was acting differently. "Does anyone know what happens in here?" I asked.

"No, only you and I." He said and I smiled. "We are free to say whatever we please." He said.

"Would you ever fall?" I asked suddenly and he tensed. "Anna said she liked you because you loved humanity as much as her... That she wouldn't be surprised if you fell." I said and he looked at me, we just stared at each other as he thought.

"I... I would if you wished me to." He said and I froze up. "If not, then I would not." He said and I looked down. "Things would not be the same if I fell." He said. "I would be on the run." He explained and I hummed.

"I want you to do what you think is right," I explained and he nodded. "Castiel?" I mumbled sitting up and he nodded. "I-" but I woke up to dean shaking me.

"We need to talk," Dean said and I nodded.

"Okay, okay," I said and I sat up, he sat down next to me.

"I just... Spoke with Uriel." He said and I nodded. "He said that Cas was talking to you as we spoke..." He said and I nodded.

"Yes, we were," I said and he looked at me.

"What did you two say?" He asked and I pictured us cuddling and humming.

"We didn't talk much... He helped me out of a nightmare then we spoke of Anna. And I asked him a few questions which he answered." I said and he stared at me.

"Nothing about what he would do to you?" And I felt myself getting warm.

"In what way?" I asked and he stared at me.

"What the fuck do you mean!? Like, do to you if we don't give them Anna!" Dean said and I giggled.

"I'm just joking! And no, none of that, why?" I asked.

"Uriel said that they would hurl me to damnation, but Uriel said... That they would kill Sam instead, and take you away to heaven where I wouldn't see you ever again." He said and I bit my lip.

"He didn't speak a word of that to me," I said and he sighed.

"Then it must be just Uriel." He said and I frowned. "But I doubt Cas would not object." He said and I looked down. "I gotta go." He said and I nodded softly. I stood up following him to the garage on bobby's lot, I sat next to dean rubbing his back as he downed more alcohol.

"I don't know man... Where Ruby." Sam said and Dean retaliated.

"She's your hell buddy." He had more anna spoke.

"Little early for that?" She asked.

"2 am somewhere." He said.

"You okay?" She inquired.

"Yeah. Of course." He lied. I stood up feeling Castiel, and that was when the doors opened, they walked in closing them.

"Hello Anna," Castiel said. "It's good to see you." He said. "Y/N." He said and I smiled, as he nodded his head at me.

"How!? How did you find us?" Sam asked and Cas' eyes averted to Dean. They all looked at Dean, but Castiel looked down, I stepped forward, but Uriel did too as if to warn me, Cas looked at me, and he looked at Uriel shaking his head no at him, and he stepped back. "Dean?" Sam mumbled.

"I'm sorry." He muttered.

"Why!?" Sam accused.

"Because they gave him a choice Sam," I said. "Either it was Anna, or us," I said and he looked at me.

"I know how their minds work," Anna said looking at the Angels. Yeesh. Anna turned to Dean and kissed him. I looked at Cas and he watched, his eyes then moving to me. That made me feel tingly again, the way his eyes burrowed into me. "You did the best you could," Anna whispered as I stared back at Castiel. "Okay, no more tricks, no more running." She said walking up to them. "I'm ready." She said.

"I'm sorry," Castiel said and she stopped him.

"No, you aren't. Not really, you don't know the feeling." She was wrong, I could see his pain, how his eyes softened, and looked at her, and me. They aren't as 2D as she believes anymore.

"Still. We have history. It's just..." Castiel huffed.

"Orders are orders, just make it quick Castiel!" She said and suddenly we heard another voice.

"Don't you touch a hair on that poor girl's head!" Alistair declared and I sighed, Castiel pulled me to him at that second. Uriel walked up to the demons.

"How dare you come into this room." He said as the demons threw Ruby aside. "You puss-filled sore."

"Name calling?" Alistair walked up to him. "That hurt my feelings you Sanctimonious fanatical prick." He said.

"Walk away. Now." Castiel ordered, sending shivers through me.

"Sure, just give us the girl, and we'll make sure she's punished well and properly." He said, and Cas pushed me behind him.

"You know who we are, and what we will do." He said in a demanding tone, I moved to my brothers in his command, as he pointed to them. "I will not say it again." He said and Dean pulled me to him. "Leave or we lay you to waste."

"Think I'll take my chances." He said and Uriel attacked, Castiel punched Alistair but he seemed to take no damage. Cas laid a hand on his head but- nothing, I was confused. "Sorry, why don't you go run to daddy!" He said punching Cas and throwing him back to our feet, I pulled from Dean running to cas as Alistair said something I could understand... He was sending Cas back to heaven, I threw my hardest kick and kicked him across the jaw sending him flying back. Alistair stood up, but instead of focusing on me, he started on Dean, and I yanked Cas back to his feet.

"Thank you." He said and I smiled. Suddenly we heard Uriel yell.

"No!" And we turned seeing Anna shatter her grace, and suck it back up, she fell to her knees as she started yelling.

"Shut your eyes! Shut your eyes!" And Cas grabbed me, pulling me to his chest, his hands holding me there hiding my eyes from the blast. Once silence filled the room, I pulled from him and the boys were looking at me, and Cas.

"What are you two waiting for? Go after Anna." Dean said and they were silent. "What are you? Scared?"

"This isn't over" Uriel stepped to dean's cut Cas grabbed him and stopped him, before looking at me and running his hand along my head.

"Looks over to me Junk-less. And get off my sister!" He grabbed me yanking me away from Cas but instinctively we grabbed each other's hands, and Dean looked and then looked at me.

"Sorry-" I mumbled pulling my hand away slowly. With that, they were gone.

Chapter 8: Death's Holiday.

Chapter Text

I stayed away from the interview and stayed at the motel doing research, they both came in as I sat on the bed with the laptop in my hand. "Hey? Anything?" I asked and Dean chuckled.

"Cancer survivor, clinically dead!" Sam said.

"But now he's taking his wife to dinner for their 20th anniversary," Dean added and I hummed.

"Well! The deaths stopped 10 days ago, last death was a kid named Cole Griffth." I said and they hummed sitting down.

"What do you think?" Sam asked.

"Well, maybe it's just a miracle-"

"Since when do those happen in our experience?" I asked and Dean huffed.

"No deals! No nothing. Maybe they ain't leaving."

"Maybe because theirs no one to help them leave," I said and they looked at me. "Death takes a holiday?" I asked and they hummed.

"You're right. If death isn't around then they won't leave." Sam said and Dean hummed.

"So what the local reapers on strike? Playing the back nine?" Dean said and I rolled my eyes. "I don't know guys."

"Then let's talk to someone who might," I said. "The kid was last to die then wouldn't he know something...?" I asked and they looked at me. "Let's go talk to him," I said and that night we went to the graveyard to work on the ritual.

"This job is jacked," Dean said.

"How so?" I asked rubbing my hands together.

"You want me to gank a monster or torch a corpse? Pbbt!! sure, I'll light it up! This though? We face this and people will start dropping dead! Innocent, good people!"

"Look Dean, I don't want them to die either but there's a natural order," Sam said and I nodded.

"You're kidding, right? You don't see the irony in that? We're the poster boys of the unnatural order! All we do is ditch death!"

"The normal rules don't apply to us Dean-o," I said and he laughed.

"We aren't different than anyone else." He said and I laughed.

"Sam has demon blood pumping in him, you've been to hell and back. LITERALLY! And I'm a fucking angel." I said looking at him like he was crazy and he looked at me.

"I know you wanna think of yourself as Joe the plumber dean but you're not! Neither are we! Sooner you accept that the better off you are."

"We're all freaks, my man," I said standing up.

"Ah, Joe the plumber was a douche," Dean said and I giggled, as he began playing with his breath in the cold air.

"Let's finish this," I said and he nodded getting up

"Hey!" We were cut off by the grave keeper and I froze up hiding behind dean.

"Hey hey, just take it easy!"

"What the hell is this?" He asked looking at the ground.

"This? Oh uh, this isn't what it looks like." Dean said.

"Really? Cause this looks like devil worship."

"What!? No! No! This isn't devil worship, this- this is-" he stuttered. "This is the... I don't have a good answer." Dean said and I stepped out to look.

"Look we're leaving," Sam said and I pointed to the grave keeper.

"Alistair!" I said and the boys looked at me, then at him. His eyes rolled back to white.

"Alistair..." Dean mumbled. "I thought you got deep-fried extra crispy." He said and he hummed.

"Oh no... Just the pediatrician I was riding with. His wife still looking for him... It's hilarious." He said and I spat at him.

"Filth!" I called him, and he hummed.

"No time to chat I guess... I got a hot date with death." He said flinging Dean.

"Dean!" I yelled and then he tried to fling me and nothing happened.

"I'm an angel you ass!" I said and he looked at sam then, and he tried to throw him but nothing happened again and I looked at sam. "What?" I mumbled and Suddenly Alistair was physically grabbing me, throwing me over by dean, but unlike Dean I didn't hit my head, I went to Dean and picked him up into my arms and I saw Sam throw Alistair with his mind and a flick of the hand, I watched as he tried to exorcise him but he smoked out, he turned to me and saw me watching while holding an unconscious Dean. I fluttered away with Dean and put him on his bed. Leaving Sam alone.

When Dean woke up it was still just us, I had his head in my lap as I pressed an ice pack to the bump. He groaned. The door opened then. "Hey, you okay?" Sam asked and I kept looking at Dean.

"Yeah, I think I have a concussion." He said and I shrugged.

"Are you dizzy?" I asked and he nodded. I pressed my hand to his head, healing most of it, but I wasn't that strong with healing.

"That's better." He smiled.

"You need aspirin?" Sam asked.

"No thanks, house." He said sitting up and sam stood by the coffee maker. "Demons?" He mumbled.

"So much for miracles," Sam said and I stayed seated.

"What happened with Alistair?"

"Didn't Y/N tell you?" He asked and he shook his head. "Well he flung you, tried to fling Y/N but she's an angel, but when he tried me it didn't work... So he bailed." He said and I sat there, quiet.

"But how come he couldn't fling you? He chucked you pretty well last time." Dean said and he looked at me, I was playing with my hands.

"I don't know," Sam said and dean hummed.

"Sam do me a favour. If you're gonna keep these secrets, then I can't stop you, but don't treat me like an idiot okay?" He asked and Sam looked at him, then at me.

"I'm not keeping secrets, Dean." He said.

"Yeah, whatever." Dean huffed and turned to me.

"Yeah. Whatever." I seethed and Sam looked at me.

"Did you two go back and Q&A the kid?" Dean asked.

"Didn't have to," Sam said. "Bobby called. He did some digging and he thinks Y/N is right. The local reaper is gone but not just gone, kidnapped." He said.

"By demons?" Dean asked.

"Listen to this..." He said. "And he bloodied death under the newborn sky, sweet to taste and bitter when once devoured." He said and dean hummed.

"Swanky, what the hell does that mean?"

"It's from a very old, obscure, and arcane version of revelations," I said and they looked at me. "You kill a reaper under the solstice moon, tomorrow night, another seal is broken," I said and Dean huffed.

"But you can't ice death!"

"Maybe demons can," I said.

"Where are the angels I wanna know." Sam looked at me. "We could use their help for once." He said and I looked at Sam with a glare, he looked surprised to see it. Dean came up with the idea of becoming a ghost and went to get Pamela. I lay on the bed when she arrived.

"I can't begin to say how crazy you three are!" She said.

"Well Pamela, you're a sight for sore eyes," Sam said and I scoffed.

"That's sweet grumpy. What do you say to deaf people?!" She asked and he scrunched his face up in embarrassment. "Which one of you brainiacs came up with astral projection?" She asked.

"Yo," Dean said raising his hand.

"Of course, Chachi." She said and the boys looked confused. "Let's be clear you three wanna rip your souls out of your bodies and take a little stroll through the spirit world?" She asked and I hummed. "Do you know how heavy-duty insane that is?"

"Yup! But that's where the reaper is so..."

"So it's nuts!"

"Not if you know what you're doing."

"You don't know." She said.

"But you do." He smirked.

"Yeah, I do. And guess what? I'm sick of being hauled back into your angel demon, soc-greaser crap!" She yelled.

"Look I would love to be kickin' it back with a cold one watching judge Judy too." He said

"Nice more blind joked." She crossed her arms.

"You know what I mean!" Dean said. "We're talking about the end of the world. No more hassle leather pants, no more Ramones CDs, no more nothing." Dean said. "We need you." He said and she sighed giving in. As we prepped she faced my direction.

"You ready?" She asked and I scoffed.

"I don't want to do what they're doing. I can get there myself." I said and they all looked at me. "Where do you think I go when I disappear? Go invisible? I still chill here just in another plane." I said and she hummed.

"Can you go by yourself?" She asked and I nodded.

"No one ripping my soul out," I said and she hummed. "See you there," I said and I disappeared. I stood there, watching when she was done, I watched them sit up from their bodies. They looked at me, and they looked at themselves.

"It worked," Dean mumbled and I smiled.

"Alright so, I'm assuming you two are somewhere over the rainbow." She said. "I'll whisper the incantation in your ear." She whispered into Sam's and he laughed.

"What? What did she say?" He asked.

"Probably something about his ass," I said and he looked at me, pursing his lips, I laughed. "Meet you outside," I said fluttering there. They walked out, and we walked down the street, as walking a girl ran straight through Sam.

"That's wild!" Dean yelled and then put his hand into sam's stomach. Sam glared at him. "Am I making you uncomfortable?" He asked and Sam huffed.

"Get out of me, Dean." He said and Dean stopped.

"Don't be a prude." He said.

"Come on," I said and we began walking. "I'll scope out most of the town, you guys too," I said and they nodded, I flashed away, going around the town, until I stopped outside a house. Where I saw a little boy looking at me from the window, I saw the boys walking toward me, and I walked inside the house. They followed behind me. I followed the mother to the room, where she spoke to her passed son. He threw a soccer ball at me but I caught it, and she ran out, he froze seeing me catch it. "Calm down cole," I said my brothers walked in, and I put the ball down.

"Who are you?!" He yelled.

"Cole, my name is Y/N, and these are my brothers, Sam and Dean," I said.

"How do you know my name?" He asked.

"This isn't gonna be easy to hear, but your dead," Sam said and I rolled my eyes.

"Thanks, Haley Joel, I know I'm dead!" Cole yelled.

"Cole, my brothers are spirits just like you, I'm not, I'm an angel," I said and he laughed.

"Yeah okay."

"It's true," I said, my eyes flashing blue, and he froze. "We just want to talk to you," I said and he sighed.

"Okay." He said and we went downstairs. "I was outside all morning. They say to be careful when it's cold." He said and I hummed.

"Cold air causes asthma attacks?" Dean asked and Cole nodded.

"Then I was in my room, it happened so fast, everything began spinning, I called for my mom but mother came out... Then suddenly I was standing there... Looking at my body." He said and I walked over rubbing his head, he looked at me, and hugged me, he hasn't been comforted for 10 days so I wasn't surprised by the want for a hug.

"That's when you saw him?" I asked and he nodded.

"Creepy old dude in a black suit. He wanted me to go with him but... I didn't go." He explained.

"Reaper," Sam mumbled. "How did you get him to leave?"

"I didn't. The black smoke took him.", he said and I hummed. "It was everywhere and I hid in the closet then he was gone." Suddenly the lights flickered and he pulled from me.

"Their back!" He disappeared and I saw a reaper fly by, I ran to it.

"Wait!" I yelled and Sam and Dean followed. "We need to talk!" I yelled and when I looked up the stairs a woman walked down them, she looked at dean and smiled a little.

"Dean." She spoke and he looked confused.

"Do I know you?" He asked and she hummed.

"We go way back." She said and we walked into the living room.

"I'm gonna check on cole," I said and I flashed up there, he saw me, and I sat beside his closet where he hid. "You okay?" I asked and he nodded. "She's not coming to get you, so no need to be scared," I said and he hummed. "You must be scared and overwhelmed..."

"The worst is my mom..." He sighed. "She's always coming in here... Talking to me... Telling me how sad she is." He sighed. "I'll knock stuff over to let her know I'm here but she only gets sadder."

"She believes her baby boy is still around... How can you move on from that?" I asked and he sighed. "She loves you... So much." I said.

"I'm not telling you where the smoke is..." He whispered.

"What if I told you at the end of this, if you help, your mom will be able to be happy?" I asked and he perked.

"You can do that? Cause you're an angel?"

"I can and I swear I will," I said and he nodded coming out and hugging me again.

"I saw the black smoke at my funeral." He said and I nodded holding him. "At the funeral home." He said. "It was everywhere."

"Okay, let's go to the others," I said and he nodded, as we stood there telling the others the black smoke came back, it filled the room and as it disappeared so did Tessa.

"I'll follow it!" I yelled and I disappeared. I followed it to the home but I stopped outside unable to go in. "Enochian." I humbled. When my brothers came and went inside after I explained I couldn't.

"That's why we're unable to help," Castiel said. I turned to him, and he hummed. I sighed.

"So I can't help at all?" I asked and he nodded. "That fucking sucks." I groaned he took my hand and I looked at him.

"Everything will be alright." He sighed and I nodded. "We want you ready Y/N," he said and I gulped.

Chapter 9: Spectator.

Chapter Text

We walked threw a huge crash, and all the alarms went off as we did, Castiel holding my hand, holding his free one up, and silencing all the cars. "What are we doing here?" I asked.

"Six angels have been murdered." He said and I bit my lip. "All from my garrison." He said as we walked through it. "This will be the seventh." He said and we stood at the body, he let go of my hand to reach down and look at her wound. "Goodbye, sister." He whispered.

"How?"

"We don't know." He said and I sighed, hearing the police.

"Come, let's go," I said and he wrapped an arm around me, and we were suddenly in a hotel room.

"Like Y/N leaves so abruptly, and hasn't said a word since!" Dean said as he walked in and he freezes, Cas now stood like a statue, while Uriel stood ready to speak, and I stood beside Castiel.

"Winchester and Winchester," Uriel said.

"Oh come on!" Dean groaned.

"You are needed," Uriel said and Dean rolled his eyes.

"You already got Y/N!" He growled. "We just got back from needed!" He yelled.

"You mind your tone with me," Uriel warned.

"No, you mind your tone with us!" He yelled and I looked at Castiel who looked upset.

"We just got back from Pamela's funeral," Sam said.

"Yeah, Pamela, psychic Pamela! You remember her." He said. "Cas you remember her! You burned her eyes out!" He said.

"Dean," I growled.

"Good times! Then she died saving one of your seals!" He said. "Where were you Y/N!? Could use your healing..." He said and I felt my nose sting, tears threatening to escape, one did.

"Dean." Sam slapped his chest and Dean looked at me, and then looked sympathetic, I hated that. I looked away from them both.

"You angels need to stop pushing us around like chess pieces for five fucking minutes!" He yelled Castiel put his hand on my shoulder.

"We raised you out of hell for our purposes."

"What was that again? What exactly do you want with me!?" He growled.

"Start with gratitude," Uriel muttered and I rolled my eyes wiping my tears.

"Dean we know this is difficult to understand-"

"And we!..." Uriel sent him a warning look. "Don't care." He said Cas looked forward, and I took his hand into mine. "Now seven angels have been murdered, all from our garrison. The last was killed tonight." He said.

"Demons?" Uriel nodded his head. "How are they doing it?"

"We don't know." He sighed.

"I'm sorry what exactly do you want us to do about it?" Sam asked. "A demon with that much juice seems to be out of our league."

"We can handle the demons, thank you very much."

"Once we find whoever it is," Cas said for clarification.

"So you want us to hunt the demon down?" Dean asked.,

"Not quite. We have Alistair."

"He'll give you a name."

"Alistair's will is very strong. We've arrived at an impasse." Can say pulling me to the middle of the room.

"Yeah well, he's like a black belt in torture. I mean you are out of your league." Dean said.

"That is why we've come to his student," Uriel said. "You just happen to be the most experienced interrogator we got."

"Dean, you are our best hope," Castiel said.

"No. No way. You can't ask me to do this Cas not this... Y/N?" He asked and I shrugged.

"What can I do Dean?" I hummed.

"Who said anything about asking?" Uriel asked and we all left, I sat in the room as Cas showed dean everything. I didn't listen to them as they bickered, I had my head on the table until I heard Dean say.

"I wanna talk to Y/N and Cas alone." He said and Uriel sighed.

"I'll go seek revelation, we might have some further orders." He said and Dean hummed.

"Bring back some donuts when you're done." He said and Uriel began laughing.

"This one never quits, does he? I think I'm starting to like you, boy." He said before he left, Dean turned around sighing.

"You guys need to start walking, you'll get flabby." He said and I rolled my eyes, Cas didn't laugh. "I'm starting to think Junkless has a better sense of humour than you do." He said.

"Uriel is the funniest angel in the garrison, ask anyone," Castiel said and I smiled, giggling a bit.

"What's going on Cas? When does Uriel put a leash on you?" He asked and I listened, I wanted to know too.

"My superiors were beginning to question my sympathies," Cas explained.

"Sympathies?"

"I was getting too close to the humans under my charge. You." He said. "Y/N... But they said the relationship with the Nephilim Y/N was needed so I still have authority over that... They feared I began to express emotions. Gateways to doubt. This can impart my judgment." He said looking at me, and I bit my lip.

"Well you tell Uriel or whoever, they do not want me doing this," Dean said.

"Want it? No." Cas said staring at me. "But I've been told we need it." He said.

"If I walk through that door and do this... You will not like what walks back out."

"If it's worth anything..." Cas looked down. "I would give anything to not have you do this." He said and I frowned. I watched my brother close his eyes, and enter the room with a trolley of tools. "I'm sorry Y/N." He said.

"It's not your fault Cassy," I said and he came and sat beside me at the table, he took my hands. "Cas?" I whispered and he nodded leaning into me.

"Yes?" He whispered.

"It's Sam..." I whispered. "I think he-" the light shattered above us, and he stood.

"Anna." He said as I watched her walk in. "Your human body..."

"Was destroyed but... I felt sentimental and called in some favours." She rubbed her coat.

"You shouldn't be here. We still have orders to kill you." He said and I stood beside him.

"Somehow I don't think you'll try. Hello Y/N." She said and I waved.

"Hello," I mumbled.

"Where's Uriel."

"He went to receive revelation," Cas said.

"Right." She muttered and I took Castiels hand. "Why are you letting dean do this?" She asked, he was silent before turning to me, away from her.

"He is doing gods work."

"God's work? Torture is God's work now?" She snapped. "You need to stop him Castiel before you ruin one of the real weapons you have." She said.

"Who are we to question God's will?" Castiel asked.

"Unless this ain't God's will." She said.

"Then where do the orders come from?" He asked and I looked at him, his eyes on me.

"I don't know." She said. "One of our superiors maybe but not him. The father you love, you think he would ask this of you? Do you think this is love? This is Righteous?" She asked and he put a hand on my cheek, before turning to look at her.

"I don't understand." He whispered.

"Cas?" I whispered and he looked at m, "What your feeling is called doubt," I said and he stared at me, I took his hand.

"You're afraid Castiel, I was too." She said and "But, together-"

"Together?" He looked at her. "I am nothing like you." He said pushing me back and away from her. "You fell! Go." He said. "Go." He ordered before she left. I saw his eyes go from hard, to soft in seconds.

"Cas-" his eyes met mine, and I stopped, looking down.

"I'm not upset with you-" he whispered suddenly next to me again.

"I know," I whispered, and he hugged me. I looked into the room and saw Alistair holding Dean up by the neck. "Dean!" I yelled and he turned, we ran into the room and I was first to grab the knife and stab it into Alistair, he threw me to the ground and I saw dean Battered so I ran to him, as Cas twisted the knife deeper into Alistair, I grabbed my brothers cheeks and healed as much as I could which wasn't much. Dean passed out and I turned to see Alistair holding cas by the neck, I growled. "No!" I stood and raised my hand causing him to fly into the wall and stay there, my eyes flashing Blue. But suddenly I was grabbed and pushed down, and I looked up to see Sam who turned to Alistair, pushing him into the wall with his mind.

"Who is murdering the angels? Who's doing it?" Sam asked and Castiel and I looked at each other.

"You think I'm gonna tell you?"

"Yeah, I do." He said and he clenched his hand, Alistair writhed in pain, and I covered my mouth in shock. "How are the demons killing the angels!?"

"I... Don't... Know!..." He grunted in anguish.

"Right."

"It's not us! We're not doing it!" He seethed through clenched teeth.

"I don't believe you!"

"Sam-" I mumbled.

"Shut up!" Sam yelled at me, and I flinched. Suddenly Cas was next to me, holding me in his arms as we watched.

"Lilith... She Isn't behind this. She wouldn't kill 7 angels... She'd kill 100... She'd kill 1000 if she could!" He said and Sam finally stopped. "Go ahead, send me back, if you can..."

"I'm stronger than that." I feared this. "I can kill." He said then holding his hand up, killing Alistair where he stood. Cas and I stared in shock. He pulled me to my feet as I backed from Sam, who looked at me in anguish seeing my fear. He then looked at Dean and went to him, picking him up and leaving without a word. Castiel and I looked at each other, worry written on each other's faces.

In the hospital, we stood outside the door, I looked at Dean relieved he was okay, when sam saw us, Cas pulled me down the hall, and Sam followed, we stood there as he made it to us. "Sam-"

"Go in there and heal him!" Sam yelled.

"I can't," Cas said.

"You and uriel put him in there-"

"No-"

"Because you can't keep a simple devil trap together!"

"I don't know what happened! That devil's trap shouldn't have broken, I am sorry."

"This whole thing was pointless!" Sam yelled. "Demons aren't doing the hits!"

"Perhaps Alistair was lying-"

"He wasn't." I butt in. Sam turned and walked away, and I looked at Cass.

"Come with me." He said and I nodded taking his hand, we were next to Uriel at that moment, by a playground, the snow covering the ground.

"Castiel. I have been given revelation by our superiors." He announced. "Our brothers and sisters are dying left and right and..." He sighed. "They want us to stop hunting for the demon responsible for the death of our brothers and sisters." That put a bad taste in my mouth. "Something is wrong up there. Can't you feel it?" He inquired.

"The murders," Cas let out sitting down next to Uriel. "Maybe they aren't demonic." He confessed.

"If not the demons! What could it be!?" Uriel exclaimed.

"The will of heaven." Cas proclaimed. "We are failing, Uriel. We are losing the war. Perhaps the garrison is being punished." He confided.

"You think our father would-"

"I think our father... Isn't giving the orders anymore." He said and I looked down. "Maybe there is something wrong."

"Well then." Uriel stood up. "I won't wait to be gutted." He announced looking to the sky. With that, he was gone. Castiel looked at me and looked down.

"What next Castiel?" I asked and he sighed.

"I feel we must speak to Anna." He said and I nodded holding my hand to him, he took it and we left. We stood on the sidewalk in a park, I sat on a bench watching him. "Anna," Castiel called. "Anna?" He called again. "Anna, please." He mumbled and she appeared behind him, he turned to her.

"Decided to kill me after all?" She asked and he looked down.

"We're alone." He said.

"What do you want Castiel?"

"I'm considering disobedience." He admitted.

"Good..."

"No, it isn't... For the first time I... I feel..." He looked down.

"It gets worse." She stated she walked closer. "Choosing your course of action... Is terrifying... Confusing." She touched his arm but he moved away. "Oh, that's right... You're too good for my help." She said and he looked at her, then at me. "I'm just trash, a walking blasphemy." She said turning and walking away.

"Anna!" He called. "I don't know what to do... Please tell me what to do." He said and she smiled.

"Like the good old days?" She asked and he looked down. "No. I'm sorry. It's time you think for yourself." She said and he looked so conflicted. She was gone.

"Come sit Castiel," I said and he walked over sitting next to me. "May I confess something?" I asked.

"Of course." He said looking at me.

"Uriel," I whispered looking at him, he took my hands, his were so warm. "What he said about... How your superiors wished you to stop hunting..." I said and he nodded. "The taste in my mouth went sour." I touched his cheek and he looked confused. "It makes no sense. Why- when angels are dying without a cause, would they say to stop?" I asked and he looked at me looking down.

"You're right." He stood up. "Something is sour." He took my hands and we were back in the torture room. He crouched down and touched the trap, I pointed up.

"Cas," I said and he saw it drip. He walked around the pillar and turned the spout stopping the water. we looked at each other.

"You called me?" I heard Uriel. "Will you join me Castiel? Nephilim? Will you fight?" He asked and Cas hummed.

"Strange how a leaky pipe can undo the work of angels," Castiel said. "When we are supposed to be agents of fate." He said looking at Uriel.

"Alistair was just more powerful than we imagined." He said digging his grave deeper, Castiel and I shared a look.

"No. No demon can overpower that trap." He said. "I made it myself." He huffed. "We've been friends a long time Uriel. Fought by each other sides, served together, away from home. For what seems like forever. We're brothers Uriel. So pay me that respect and tell me the truth." He said and I leaned on the wall.

"The truth is, the only thing that can kill an angel..." A blade slipped from his sleeve, one I have seen before. "Is another angel." He said holding it up.

"You?" Cas said.

"Afraid so." He said humming.

"You broke the devil's trap and set Alistair on dean..."

"Alistair should have never been taken alive." He said. "Castiel, yes I did turn a screw a little. Alistair should have killed Dean and escaped." I stood up straight.

"Excuse me!?" I growled.

"Shut it you stained skank on the earth," Uriel said and Cas held his hand up.

"Don't speak to her that way."

"You should have continued scapegoating the demons-"

"For the murders of our kin?" He inquired.

"Not murders Castiel! My work is conversion." He stated. "How long have we waited here? How long have we played these games by rules that make no sense!?"

"This is our father's world-" Cas turned around to face me.

"Our father!? He stopped being that, if he ever was, the moment he created these!" He was behind me holding the blade to my neck, and I froze, Cas tensed, "humanity, his favourites, this whining, puking larva." He said.

"Are you trying to convert me?" He asked.

"I wanted you to join me! I still do! With you, we can be powerful enough to..."

"To..?"

"To raise our brother." He said and my eyes widened as did Cas.

"Lucifer," I whispered.

"You do remember him Castiel." He said looking up. "How strong he was? How beautiful! And he didn't bow to humanity! He was punished for defending us!" He pressed the blade to my neck harder, my eyes flashing blue. "If you want to believe in something... Believe in him."

"Lucifer isn't God!"

"God isn't God anymore!" Uriel exclaimed. "He doesn't care what we do. I am proof of that! She is proof!" He said.

"But this?" He waved his hands. "What were you gonna do Uriel? Were you to kill the whole garrison?"

"I only killed those who said no." He said. "Others have joined me. So please brother, don't fight me." He begged, Cas put his head down. "Help me. Help me spread the word." Cas slowly raised his head again and looked at me. "Help me bring on the Apocalypse. All you have to do is be unafraid." He said and he looked at me, I shook my head no.

"For the first time in a long time... I am." He said and Uriel smiled. Cas grabbed him and then threw uriel into the wall. Uriel dropped the blade so I grabbed it hastily. The boys got in a fistfight and I waited for an opening.

"You can't win Uriel! I still serve god!"

"You haven't even met the man! There is no will! No wrath! No, God!" And I plunged the knife into his neck, he froze and I hummed.

"Maybe, maybe not. But there's still us." I said pulling it out, and with a large white boom, he died. I walked to cas and helped him up to his feet. "Come, Cassy, let's go," I said and he nodded.

"Let's." He said tiredly. We went to the hospital and sat together on the couch by Dean's bed and when he woke, Cas spoke.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"No thanks to you." He said and I chuckled, Cas smiled.

"You need to be more careful," Cas asserted.

"You need to learn how to manage a damn devil trap." Dean retaliated.

"Not what I mean." He sighed.

"Uriel is dead," I said and Dean looked at me.

"The demons?" He asked and I shook my head.

"It was disobedience," Cas said. "He was working against us." He said and Dean hummed.

"Is it true... Did I break the first seal? Did I start all this?" He asked and I looked at Cas who slowly nodded.

"Yes." He said. "When we discovered Lilith's plan for you, we laid siege to hell. We fought our way to you before you-"

"Jump-started the Apocalypse." He finished.

"We were too late."

"Why didn't you leave me there then?"

"It isn't blamed that falls on you Dean, it's fate." He said. "The righteous man who begins it... Is the only one who can stop it." He said and Dean sniffled. "You have to stop it."

"Lucifer? The apocalypse? What does that mean?" Silence rang through. "Hey, you son of a bitch! Don't you go disappearing on me and taking my sister for a ride-, what does that mean!?" He yelled.

"I don't know-"

"Bull!" Dean growled.

"Dean- they don't tell me much. But I do know our fate rests with you." He said and Dean started tearing up.

"Then you guys are screwed... I can't do this Castiel, It's too big... I'm not strong enough." He said and silence rang through the air again. "I guess I'm not the man either of our Dads thought we'd be." He said. "Cas... Find someone else... It's not me." He said and I got up and sat on the bed with him, a tear ran down his cheek.

"It's okay Big Brother..." I whispered I felt like a spectator to a big tournament that was a fight to the death.

Chapter 10: Nine to Five.

Chapter Text

I stood in the office. Seeing Mr. Dean Smith walking in. "Morning Dean!" I stood up walking into his office with him. "So this is your schedule! All your meetings and plans and I'll be right in the hall if you need me, sir." I said and he nodded.

"Thanks, Y/N." He said kissing my head and I left into the hall. I sat at my desk, I was a secretary for all the big hitters in the building, I continued doing papers and suddenly a paper was slipped on my desk and I saw one of the big timers walking away, I grabbed it and I sighed. I grabbed the phone at my desk and wrote another email to one of the employees to go up to HR. That day I got into the elevator and there was one of the employees at the tech support center in there, he stiffened looking at me, and I looked at him smiling.

"Do I know you?" He asked and I hummed.

"Maybe," I said. "I'm the secretary of the managers up on 22." I smiled and he hummed. "I'm a busy woman," I said and he nodded.

"Can I ask you a question?" He asked.

"I don't date. Especially coworkers." I said and he scoffed.

"Me either it's just a question?" He asked and I nodded. "Do you believe in ghosts?" He asked and I hummed.

"Maybe! I don't know." I giggled awkwardly.

"Angels?"

"Yes?" I looked at him suspiciously.

"Have you been having weird dreams?" He asked and I hummed.

"Oh look, it's my floor! Byyyyeee!" I walked out rolling my eyes. I knocked at Dean's door and he looked at me.

"You wouldn't happen to know a weird guy from Tech support talking about ghosts, would you?" I asked and he nodded.

"He cornered me in the elevator."

"Me too!" I yelled. "He was asking all kinds of questions," I said.

"Ghosts?" He laughed.

"Yeah, and angels!" I said and he hummed.

"I got vampires, weird." He said and I hummed nodding.

"Freaky deaky huh?" I asked and he nodded.

"Especially with the Suicide," Dean said and I gasped.

"What suicide!?"

"Down at tech support. Some poor sucker killed himself in the microwave." He said and I frowned.

"Poor guys." I huffed.

"Yes, he was 2 weeks from retiring too... Hey Y/N call up Ian from down there matter-of-fact I need to talk to him." He said and I nodded.

"Yes sir," I said and walked to my desk. I called him up and a few minutes later I saw him waking up at my desk. "Ian? Go to room 2208." I smiled and he nodded walking to the room and into it. After a few minutes, Ian ran out and Dean went after him, I got up and followed to see if everything was alright, they were in the men's room so I waited.

"Somebody help me!" I heard Dean so I ran in, it was freezing and I got a chill running in there.

"Oh my god?!" I yelled seeing Ian dead on the floor.

"Go call 911 Y/N! Now!" He yelled and I nodded running out and calling 911, I went back to help dean and he sighed, walking out with me, where we waited. When the police came in I spoke to the police separately on my side of the story, as I did I looked down the hall seeing Sam, the tech support guy. He saw me and gulped and then looked at Dean, so I did and he looked back at me too. What was happening? That same day Dean made me sit in his office and I saw Sam walk in. I hummed as he closed the door. "Who the hell are you?" Dean asked and Sam scoffed.

"Not sure I know..."

"What the hell does that mean?" Sam sighed fixing himself.

"I'm Sam Wesson... Started here three weeks ago." He said.

"Alright... You cornered us in the elevator." He said and Sam sighed. "Talking about ghosts and now..." Sam and I shared a look.

"Now what?" We asked and he sighed.

"Now nothing..." He grabbed his bottle. "You started working here three weeks ago huh?" He asked and Sam nodded. "Me too."

"Me three!" I said and they looked at me.

"Huh."

"When you were in that bathroom did you... See something?" Sam asked.

"I don't know what I saw."

"Are you saying... You saw a ghost!?" Sam asked.

"I was freaking out, I mean the guy pencilled his damn neck!" Dean gestured and I cringed.

"Hear me out! What if these suicides aren't suicides... What if there is something... Not natural?" He asked.

"Supernatural?" I asked and he nodded.

"Exactly."

"What ghosts are real? And they're responsible for all the deaths around here?" Dean sat down and so did Sam, next to me.

"I know it's crazy but yes that's what I'm telling you." He said and I nodded.

"Based on?" I asked and he sighed.

"Instinct?" He muttered.

"I got the same instinct..." Dean mumbled and they looked at me.

"I can't believe I'm saying it..." I sighed. "But me too," I said.

"I know those dreams I was telling you about!? I was dreaming about ghosts and now there's a real ghost!"

"So what, you're psychic now too?" I asked and he scoffed.

"No that's crazy." He said and I rolled my eyes. "I'm just saying that something weird is going on!" He said and I nodded. "So I did some digging around and I found a connection." He handed Dean two papers and he scoffed.

"You hacked into their email accounts?" He asked.

"I used some skills I happen to have to satisfy my curiosity." He said and I laughed.

"Nice!" I smiled and he chuckled.

"So turns out both Ian and Paul got the same email to report to HR room 1444."

"HR is on floor seven," I said and Sam nodded.

"So should we check this out?" Dean asked.

"Right now?" Sam mumbled and Dean hummed.

"No, no... Your right it's getting late."

"Well I'm fucking dying too, I don't know about you guys," I said and Sam and Dean looked at me.

"Right!?" They said in unison. We bolted up and headed to floor 14, well- 13 but they called it 14 cause of luck stuff. We walked to the room that was named in the email and hummed. We heard screams and I tried opening the door.

"It won't-" I tried pushing it but before my hands even touched the door it flew open and I gasped.

"Whoa!" Dean gasped. Sam rushed in and we tried helping the guy, but Dean got grabbed and thrown by this old-looking dude, who I think I recognize. Dean grabbed a wrench and hit him with it and he disappeared. I turned to pick up the shelf, which I thought would be hard but was mega easy, and lifted it like nothing, the guy crawled out, and the boys looked at me in awe, because they had just struggled with it. Dean let us go back to his house together, I sat at the table and sam leaned on the couch.

"How did you know ghosts were scared of wrenches?" Sam asked and Dean shrugged.

"Right!? And you! How did you open that door?! May the force be with you kinda thing!" He said and I laughed.

"No fucking clue! It just happened!"

"It's like... We've done this before." Sam said and I hummed.

"What do you mean done this before? Like Shirley Maclaine before?" Dean asked.

"No, I just mean... I can't shake the feeling that I don't belong here like I should do something more than sit in a cubical."

"Most people in a cubicle feel that way," I said and Sam scoffed.

"No! Well, look, it's more than that. Like, I don't like my job, I don't like this town, I don't like these clothes, I don't like my last name!" He said. "I don't know how else to explain it... I just feel like I should be doing something else. There's something in my blood." He said. "Do you two feel that way?"

"I don't believe in destiny," Dean said.

"I don't know maybe... I like my little life..." I said and he hummed.

"Okay... What do we do now?" Sam asked.

"We do what I do best Sammy! Research!"

"Did you just call me Sammy?" Sam asked and I nodded.

"He did," I said.

"Don't," Sam said sitting down and I sat there waiting for something.

"The guy looked like someone I know... Like history wise..." I said. "Have you looked at the origin of the building?" I asked and Dean grunted.

"I will." He responded. I was tired so I passed out on the couch while they continued research, while I had a dream about a man, in a trench coat, he kept calling for me but I was never able to get to him, when I woke up, the boys filled me in, and I hummed. We went to the office the next day and looked for anything that would be human remains but the security guard grabbed Sam, and I hid with Dean, we continued to search after and I gasped seeing a picture dean was holding.

"I remember! There's a historical thing on floor 22! I saw his photo there along with his glove!" I said and he smiled at me.

"Get 'em, girl!" He high-fived me and we ran there, calling Sam and he told us to take the stairs, we listened and when he came up, he was covered in blood.

"Goddamn!" I yelled and he nodded.

"That's a lot of blood " Dean murmured. I pointed at the gloves.

"They're his gloves. Bound to have DNA in there." I said and Sam hummed. "Dean, the honours?" I asked and he nodded smashing the glass, and it got cold, freezing. Suddenly I was being thrown, and Sam and dean got in a squabble with the ghost it left time for me to run to the gloves and pour salt on them, then I lit it, and it went up in seconds, and the ghost went up too, vanishing. I sighed relieved.

"That was amazing!" Sam said and I laughed. We sat inside the Deans office, and I listened to them talk about what we're supposed to be, and I zoned out hearing a voice, the man's voice from my dream.

"You should go." I heard and Dean looked at me after Sam left.

"I'm going too," I said and I froze at the door. "Oh and dean?" I asked and he nodded. "I fucking quit." I smiled and then turned to leave and suddenly I was in a motel, my hands went up in defence. "What the fuck just happened!?" I yelled, I remembered everything now, who I was, my brothers, who I wasn't but I remembered the fever dream it was. "Castiel!" I yelled and I turned seeing a different man. "You're an angel," I said and he smiled nodding.

"That I am young Nephilim." He said and I hummed. "My name is Zachariah. I'm Castiel's superior. With the unfortunate event of Uriel, I decided to pop on down to get my ducks in a row... And that includes you." He said and I gulped.

"I thought I was... ducks' in a row..." I mumbled confusing myself.

"Well, you would be considered you're one of the most... On the right path out of your brothers and my angels." He said and I nodded.

"Yeah, that's what I meant... Okay," I said. "Can I change?" I asked pulling on the pencil skirt. "This is horrific," I said.

Chapter 11: The Books.

Chapter Text

We walked into the comic store seeing the worker at the front, we took out our IDs and held it up. "Agent DeYoung, Shaw, and Cash." He said pointing at us.

"Anything strange in the building last couple of days?" I asked and he hummed.

"Like what?"

"Some other tenants reported flickering lights," Dean said.

"I don't think so why?" The man asked.

"Noises? Any skittering in the walls like rats?" Sam asked.

"The FBI is investigating a rodent problem?" He hummed.

"Feel any sudden temperature drops?" I asked.

"I knew it!" The guy yelled and I furrowed my eyebrows. "You guys are LARPing aren't you!?" He laughed.

"Excuse me?" Dean mumbled.

"Like you don't know!" The guy said and silence filled the room. "Larping! Live-action role-play! You're fans!"

"Of what?" I asked and he scoffed.

"You're asking questions as the buildings are haunted, like that trio from the books? What are they called?.." He went silent. "Oh! Supernatural!" He said and I furrowed my eyebrows. We looked confused cause we were. "A trio, two guys and a girl, all siblings use fake IDs with rock aliases hunting down ghosts, demons, vampires... What are their names?" He hummed. "Steve and Dirk? Sal and Dan?" He mumbled.

"Sam and Dean?" I asked and he gasped.

"Yeah! What was the girl's name?" He mumbled.

"Y/N?" I mumbled and he nodded.

"Yeah, she's my favourite!" He said.

"This is a book?" I asked and he nodded.

"A series didn't sell many copies, they went bankrupt-"

"Skip the details, show us," I said and he got up walked to the books, and pulled them out handing them to me. The cover was two men, one shirtless, standing there, his hair blowing in the wind, and a girl, sitting on the hood of the Impala, her eyes glowing blue. I flipped it reading the back. "On a lonely California highway a mysterious woman in white lures men to their deaths..." I whispered. That was the first night we grabbed Sam to find dad. Sam took it from me. "We need them all!" I said and he nodded going and finding them. While walking out I mumbled. "I knew we shoulda came as building inspectors." I huffed. I sat in the motel laying with dean reading the books, and taking turns. "This is insane," I said.

"Everything is in here! Racist truck- sex!" He said.

"We're full frontal," I said. "That guy was a good ride though," I said and Dean gagged.

"How come we haven't heard of them?" Dean asked as he went to Sam, I continued to read when I got to a part where I reflected on dad.

As Y/N sat there looking at the dusty road, the Impala let out a soft purr, she missed her father dearly, her eyebrows pensive, she reflected on how her father told her the story of her bringing of life, Mary came to him, like an Angel and they shared one more night of bliss and from that Angel Mary since became, birthed a gifted child with great power. Her father withheld telling Y/N of these gifts she held, great gifts, gifts of Angels, and creation.

I huffed. "What's a slash fan?" Dean asked.

"Like Sam/Dean/Y/N or Dean/Y/N or Sam/Dean so on so worth. Like together."

"Like... Together... together?" Dean mumbled.

"Yup."

"What the fuck!?" I yelled and he groaned. "We're siblings- ugh!" I threw the book onto the bed.

"Where can we find him?" Dean asked.

We went to the publisher. "Did you published these books?" I asked and she smiled.

"Yes, I did." She said. "Gosh, these books." She walked to her shelf with them on it. "They never got the attention they deserved. All anybody wants to read anymore is that romance crap." She huffed. "Yknow like Dr. Sexy MD, or twilight. But he did say there was a romance with Y/N in his recent books." She said.

"Huh?" I mumbled and she looked at me.

"I can't talk about that, sorry but! With your article, you could shed light on the books! Maybe get them published again and we can see that!" She said. A romance with me?? Who?? I looked down, dean looked at me and saw this so he carried the conversation now.

"No! No.." He said and she looked confused. "I mean why would you? It's such a complete series with Dean going to hell and all."

"That was my favourite one!" She yelled. "Dean was so strong and sad and brave..." She held up a first. "And Sam! The best parts are when they cry, you know like in the heart! Like when sam killed Madison the first girl after Jessica, or when dean called John for help." She said. "If only real men were so open with their feelings." She said and Dean huffed.

"Real men?" He asked.

"Yeah well, how often do you cry like that?" She asked. "And Y/N! Oh, she was so strong, she never cried in front of Sam and Dean because she had to be strong for her brothers! And her dreams! The blue-eyed man, her old imaginary friend, was so mysterious, she was so captivated by these dreams. The best scenes were when she was finally alone in her motel room, and she would finally cry, and pray for a saviour!" She said huffing and turning around, Sam and Dean both turned to me and I gulped. I never told anyone that... That was before I had Castiel.

"Right now I'm crying on the inside," Dean said and I hummed.

"That's supposed to be funny?" She asked and crossed her arms.

"This whole thing is funny," I mumbled.

"Okay... How do I know you guys are legit? I don't want some article making fun of my boys and girl." She said and I hummed.

"Trust me, we are, too legit to quit
M," I said. "We're big fans," I said.

"Okay... What's the year and make of the car?"

"1967 Chevy Impala," Dean said.

"What's May 2nd?"

"That's my- Sam's birthday," Sam mumbled.

"January 24th is Deans," Dean said.

"And Y/Ns is DOB," I said and she hummed.

"Sam's score on the LSAT?"

"One... Seventy-Four." Sam said.

"Y/N's childhood imaginary friend's name?" She asked.

"Man with the blue eyes. She called him Blue." I said and she suddenly giggled.

"Okay! Okay, what do you wanna know?" She asked.

"What's Carver Edlund's real name?" Sam asked.

"Oh no! No sorry, I can't-"

"We just wanna talk to him, get the view of Supernatural from his eyes," I said and she sighed.

"He's very private, just like Salinger." She said.

"Please... Like I said." Sam unbuttoned his shirt. "We're big, big fans." He said showing off his Anti-possession symbol. Her eyes went to Dean, who then pulled his down and showed it. Then she looked at me. I gulped.

"Mines- uh.." She nodded at me to show her and I sighed, stepping forward and lifting my shirt to show her my Sternum, below the crease of my breasts. I got it there.

"Awesome..." She murmured standing up. "You know what... I got one too." She said pushing her pants down and flashing her ass at us, all our eyes widened, and she got it on her asscheek.

"Wow," Dean whispered.

"You are a fan," I said and she giggled.

"Okay! His name is Chuck Sherly and he's a genius so don't piss him off." She said and I hummed taking the paper. We drove to the town, and there we parked across from the ramshackle home. We got out and went to the door pressing the doorbell. The door opened to a man in a robe, boxers, and a beater.

"Chuck Sherly?" Dean asked.

"The Chuck Sherly who wrote Supernatural?" Sam asked and he hummed.

"Maybe. Why?" He asked.

"I'm Y/N. This is Dean and Sam. The Y/N, Dean, and Sam you've been writing about in the books." I said and he just closed the door without a word. Dean rang the bell again and he opened it.

"Look uh... I love the enthusiasm. Really. I do, it's always nice to hear from fans, but for your good, I strongly suggest you get a life." He said going to close the door. I slammed my hand on it before he could.

"We do have a Life Chuck," I said.

"One you're using to write your books," Dean said as I shoved him in and all three of us walked in.

"Okay, this isn't funny."

"Damn straight!" I yelled.

"We just want to know how you're doing this?" Sam asked.

"I'm not doing anything!" Chuck yelled.

"Are you a hunter?" Dean asked.

"What? No! I'm a writer!"

"Then how do you know so much about demons, tulpas, and changelings?" I asked walking toward him and he tripped falling onto the couch.

"Is this a misery thing!? It is isn't it?!"

"No! We aren't fans!" I yelled.

"What do you want then!?" He yelled.

"I'm Sam," Sam said. "That's my sister Y/N and this is Dean," Sam said.

"Y/N, Sam and Dean are fictional! I made them up! They aren't real!" He yelled so I pulled him up and outside to show him the stuff in our trunk he still didn't believe us.

"Please! Please don't hurt me!"

"How much do you know about angels? Lilith breaking seals? Lucifer?" I asked and he stared at me.

"How do you know about that.?" He asked.

"How do you?" Dean asked.

"I wrote it." He said. "After the publisher went bankrupt I kept writing. Those books have never come out." He said.

"Chuck!" He looked at me. "Nice to meet you. My name is Y/N Winchester, that's Dean Winchester and Sam Winchester!" I said and he froze up.

"I never put the last names in the books. I never told anyone. I never wrote that down." He said.

"I'm guessing you know about me too," I said and he looked confused. "See you in the kitchen," I said flashing there. I heard a yell before he ran in and saw me leaning on the table.

"Oh god. You aren't a hallucination." He said and I hummed. Chuck began a tangent about how he was probably a god, but I sat there listening to angel's radio. I heard Chuck say.

"She's tuning in again." He said and my gaze snapped to him, and he tensed.

"Tuning in?" Sam mumbled.

"Y-yeah, she listens to what's going on... Upstairs." He said and I stood up holding my hand out.

"I want the new book," I said and he scrambled grabbing it and handing it to me. We sat in the laundromat where Dean read from the book, I had a few chapters in my hands too. But I got a call from Chuck and we went over there because of the new Chapter. "So?" I asked.

"This was easier before... You aren't gonna like this especially." He pointed at Dean.

"I didn't like Hell," Dean said.

"It's... It's Lilith. She's coming for Sam." He said.

"To kill him?" Dean inquired.

"When?" Sam asked.

"Tonight," Chuck replied.

"She's just gonna show up? Here?" Dean asked.

"Here. Lilith patted the bed seductively. Unable to deny his desires, Sam succumbed and they sank into the throws of Firey Demonic Passion." Chuck read and Sam started laughing, I rolled my eyes at him.

"You think this is funny?" Dean asked.

"You don't!? I mean come on! Firey demonic passion?"

"It's just a first draft," Chuck whispered and I snorted at that, he looked at me smiling.

"Isn't Lilith a little girl?" Dean asked.

"No- she's uh- comely dental hygienist from Bloomington Indiana." He corrected and I hummed.

"Great."

"What happens after the firey demonic whatever?" Dean asked.

"It hasn't come to me yet," Chuck explained.

"Dean there isn't anything to worry about! Lilith and me? In bed?" He asked and I hummed.

"Like sex with a demon is that preposterous?" I asked and he glared at me. "Just take a look at the book and see what's what?" I asked and they nodded.  While leaving I spoke. "You guys get a head start, I wanna talk to chuck," I said and they nodded walking out.

"Y-Yeah?" He asked and I closed the door.

"Your publisher said something about the book," I said and he nodded. "Something about a romance. With me." I said and he sighed.

"Right... that." He said.

"Who? What? Where? And why?" I asked and he went to sit so I did too.

"Who? Castiel of course." He said and I scoffed.

"What do you mean of course!? He's an angel of the lord. He-"

"You lie to yourself a lot about how you feel." He said and I stared at him. "Don't forget I'm watching it happen." He said and I huffed in annoyance.

"Okay, tell me what then," I said.

"You guys are mentally together all the time! You're always listening for him, you guys cuddle." He said and I scoffed.

"We could just be really good friends," I said.

"He said he would fall for you if you wanted."

"He probably didn't even mean that." I looked away. "Have you seen..."

"No, nothing yet." He said and I sighed.

"It's just my view you see right? So you can't tell me what he thinks..?" I asked and he nodded.

"I can't, I only see him as you would, I'm like a fly in the wall." He said and I nodded slowly.

"What makes it... More than just friends to you?"

"Well, you guys have known each other your whole life... But he was just your protector, now you're older and you two communicate, there's something more... I have a copy of a chapter that you might like to read." He said getting up and leaving the room and coming back. "It's called Falling." He said and I took it.

"Why?"

"Well... Just read it and you'll understand."

"Okay," I said and I vanished, popping into my motel room, I sat in my bed and began reading.

The way Castiel's eyes lingered over her was something to be craved, she hadn't noticed as she spoke to Uriel with might. "You're gonna kill them all!?" She accused, Uriel, ignoring her, turned to the boys, the way Uriel looked at the Half Angel was different, it was disgust, while Castiel looked with something different. Lust? Maybe. But love was guaranteed.

"This isn't the first time I've... Purified a city, Nephilim." Uriel spoke with destain, loathing the angel. Both Castiel and her sent a glare, as Castiel's hand gripped her tighter... Protectively.

I gulped continuing to read, the way he wrote was very... Descriptive.

"Enough!" Castiel ordered, Y/N rubbed my thighs together, the reaction from how his voice deepened with the order. Uriel left with that, like a child having a tantrum.

I did not rub my thighs together! Did I? I had giggled at the tantrum thing.

"I suggest you move quickly," Castiel said to the boys, before turning to Y/N, his eyes softening, that craved look filling his eyes once more, his rough hands reach up and take hold of Y/N's soft cheeks, and pull her in, pressing his forehead to hers. Giving her orders and all she replies with is a...

"Yes, Castiel." Her voice quivered. A smirk falls on Castiel's lips. Their eyes lock and at that moment their connection grew, and then he was gone. The boys were so confused at the ordeal between the angel and their sister...

I huffed. He was stating things I never noticed... Like his smirk? Did he smirk? He must have. I rubbed my thighs together and then caught myself doing it. I groaned throwing the pages aside and getting up and going to shower. When I walked out I saw Castiel sitting on the bed holding the papers, I tensed. "Cas?" I whispered and he hummed.

"The prophet has a way with words." Castiel started as he looked at me. "Don't you think?" He asked and I hummed.

"He's a prophet?" I asked. "So..."

"What he states is the word of God. Whatever he writes comes to fruition." Castiel explains.

"Whatever he writes... Is it how he interprets too?"

"Only what he writes, whatever he thinks as an opinion most likely not." He said and I walked to him, on the way slipped underwear on underneath my towel, his eyes on me the whole time. I moved sitting down and grabbing my sweater and slipping it on, with the towel covering me,  and then throwing it away and moving to him, he was still watching me.

"So you... Like his writing?" I asked.

"Yes, especially how he describes you." He said and I smiled a little. "In the first book, he writes how beautiful you are." He uttered. I licked my lips. Maybe there was something...

Chapter 12: Adam.

Notes:

So, I wanted to add a chapter that I thought would add to Y/N as a character, so here it is. Whenever I post a new chapter that adds to the story, I will add a note about this chapter, too. So everyone who misses it can read it.

Chapter Text

We were literally just on the side of the road, Sam brushing his teeth, me flipping through a book, when Dean woke up. Then a phone rang. I was the closest, so I reached in and rifled through every phone until I grabbed Dad's.

"Isn't that Dad's?" Dean asked, and Sam gave me a questioning look. I nodded. I answered.

"Hello?"

"Oh," the voice sounded startled. "Is John there?"

"I'm sorry, he can't come to the phone. Can I take a message?"

"No, I need John," they said, voice tense, desperate.

"Okay, look, I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but John Winchester passed away. Two years ago." I heard a sharp intake of breath. "I'm sorry, who is this?" I asked, glancing at my brothers.

"I'm his... son." And then it hit me, a quiet echo in my mind from Cas: "It is not the first time he's had intimacy with someone who resembled your mother, or had another love child." My stomach knotted. I looked at Sam and Dean, who were still trying to wrap their heads around the call.

"Where do you live?" I asked.

"Minnesota," he said. I exhaled slowly, trying to steady myself.

"Look, whatever you need, we were the closest to John, hence the phone being with us. I'm sure we can help." He gave me his address, and I told him we would be there in a few hours. I hung up and looked at my brothers, confusion and disbelief etched across their faces.

"It's a long story, but we gotta go," I said, already moving toward the Impala.

The drive was quiet, the hum of the engine and the occasional radio static filling the gaps. I explained the call to Dean, leaving out anything about Cas. Some things were better kept for when the time was right. Dean, predictably, was tense, convinced someone was trying to pull some emotional manipulation. I knew better.

When we arrived, Dean slammed his door shut and led the way into the diner. We chose a booth in the back corner, the cracked vinyl seats smelling faintly of grease and coffee. I kept my eyes on the door, anticipation curling in my chest. Adam. He had to be Adam. The other love child Cas had warned me about. Dean, never one to leave anything to chance, laid out the silverware and filled a cup with holy water, placing it in the spot where Adam would sit. I slid into the seat closest to the window, the late afternoon sun throwing long shadows across the table. Sam was already deep in the journal, pointing out missing entries around the time Adam must have been conceived.

The door opened, and there he was. Adam. My pulse thudded in my ears. I glanced at Dean.

"There's no demon in him," I said quietly. Dean waved me off as if my certainty didn't matter, like he alone could see through whatever disguise the world had laid out. I clenched my jaw, irritation flickering across me.

"Adam!" I called. He looked up, surprised, and I stood, extending my hand.

"Y/N?" His voice was cautious, curious. I nodded. Relief softened his face into a small, tentative smile. I gestured for him to sit. Dean, ever theatrical, grabbed the cup the waitress had set down for Adam; leaving the one with holy water, a silent declaration of mistrust.

"So, how'd he die?" Adam asked, voice tight with emotion.

"On the job," I said simply. He blinked, confusion clouding his features.

"He was a mechanic, right?"

"A car fell on him," I replied, shooting Dean a look. His anger was palpable, radiating across the booth. That only fueled the heat rising inside me. I stared him down, my expression livid, part fury, part helplessness.

And in that moment, as Adam's presence filled the booth like a long-lost ghost, I felt the weight of everything; the past, the lies, the patterns Dad had repeated, and the strange, inevitable pull of family, destiny, and the things we'd never asked for but were stuck with anyway. "The usual Adam?" She asked and he nodded.

"Yeah, thanks, Denise," he said, and she walked away. Adam cleared his throat and reached for the glass. I casually looked out the window, taking in the quiet street, the late afternoon sun reflecting off the wet pavement, and I could see that there was no demon inside him. The holy water was useless. He took a drink as Dean's all-too-intense green eyes dug into him.

"So Adam, when was the last time you saw John?" Sam asked, and I heard the familiar movement of a gun under the table. I looked at Dean.

"I don't know, a couple of years," Adam replied.

"Why call now?" I asked, curious, and he looked at me with that hesitant expression, unsure if he was doing the right thing.

"I don't know who else to call. He's the only family I have," he said, and we waited for him to elaborate. "My... my mom's missing."

"I'm sorry to hear that," I said.

"Tragic really," I cut Dean off before he could continue, sensing the tension in his posture.

"Must be scary." I touched his arm gently, and he looked at me, nodding slowly. For a moment, it was like he could see who I really was.

"Look, if you're John's kid, how come we never heard of you?" Dean asked, his tone skeptical. Adam looked back at him.

"John and I didn't really know each other... not until a few years ago anyway."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"My mom never really talked about him... I only knew some stuff."

"What kind of stuff?" Dean pressed, forcing himself into the conversation, and it made me bristle. He was being so forceful.

"Um..." Adam looked at me, uncomfortable. I gave him a reassuring smile. "My mom's a nurse, and dad came into the ER, pretty torn up. Hunting accident or something." He sighed. "I knew his name: John Winchester. That's about it, not exactly a nuclear family."

"Who is these days?" Sam chuckled lightly, but Dean jumped in again, pressing.

"So when did you finally meet him?" Adam hummed, gathering his thoughts.

"When I was 12, mom had one of his old numbers, and after I begged her 24/7, she finally called him. Apparently, when John found out he had a son, he dropped everything and raced to town, drove all night." He spoke with his hands, though they were in his pockets, a small gesture I found endearing.

"That's heart-warming," Dean said with his usual hint of sarcasm. The food arrived, and we gave the go-ahead for him to eat. I heard the click of Dean cocking his gun, but when Adam touched the silver with no hesitation and began eating, Dean uncocked it and set it aside.

"He would swing by once a year or so... y'know," Adam said, waving his hands. "But still, he taught me poker and pool, even bought me my first beer when I was 15." He smiled, and I felt a pang in my chest at the thought of Dad being present for someone else's life. "He showed me how to drive. Dad had this beautiful 1967 Chevy."

"This is crap! You know what, you're lying." Dean interrupted, his anger jumping out at me.

"No I'm not!" Adam said, shocked.

"Yes, you are."

"I'm sorry, but who the hell are you to call me a liar?" Adam squinted at Dean, clearly offended. I put my head down, frustrated at the tension.

"We are John Winchester's sons! We..." Dean waved his fingers at us, "are his kids. That's his daughter, we are his kids." Adam looked from Sam and Dean to me.

"I've got... I've got brothers? And a sister?"

"No you don't! Look, I don't know if you're a hunter-"

"I've never been hunting in my life!" Adam said, confused.

"Whatever, we're out of here. Come on, Sam, Y/N." Dean stood and walked toward the door, but Sam and I stayed seated.

"I can prove it!" Adam yelled, and he did. All three of us stared at the photo of the two of them at a baseball game.

"He took you to a baseball game?" Dean asked, annoyed at Dad, not Adam.

"Yeah, when I was 14. He was around for some of my birthdays," Adam said. Sam held up the journal.

"September 29th, one word: 'Minnesota.'" Dean looked like he was still trying to wrap his head around the fact that Dad had actually been there. I felt the same way. Dad had never done anything for one of my birthdays.

"He took you to a friggin' baseball game?!" Dean exclaimed.

"Yeah? Why, what did Dad do on your birthdays?" Adam asked. We shrugged.

"Adam, you said you called Dad because your mom was missing?" I asked.

"Yeah."

"How long has she been gone?" I pressed. He sighed.

"Three days."

"Who was last to see her?" Dean asked.

"Mr. Abbinanti, our neighbour. He saw her come home Tuesday night, but she never showed up to work on Wednesday."

I walked over to a photo of the two together as he spoke and froze. The woman in the photo looked familiar... Mary. Of course. Dad never stopped chasing her face.

"Did you call the police?" Sam asked, and Adam nodded.

"My mom's supervisor did, and then I drove down here as fast as I could. I should have been here," he muttered, getting emotional. I zoned out, looking at the photos scattered around his home. I traced the memories, the rooms frozen in time, the life he had lived without us.

"Dean? What else can you tell me about Dad?" I asked.

"You knew him," Dean said.

"Not as well as you." He sighed, frustrated with the lack of communication.

"Trust me, kid. You don't want to know."

"Hey, Adam... come with me. Leave the boys alone." I said. He followed me out of the room while Sam and Dean went about their investigation, crawling into vents and doing what they always did.

We went to his old room, which hadn't changed much. He sat down, staring at me.

"I'm gonna be honest, Y/N... I'm kinda shellshocked. Not just with them, but you... I always wanted brothers, but... a sister... never thought about it."

I nodded, understanding completely.

"It's crazy because I always thought I was the only surprise kid he had... only for it to be you," I whispered. "How old are you?"

"I'm 18." My eyes widened.

"What?!" I gaped. "I thought... I'm an older sister!" I laughed. "You look much older. It makes more sense by only a few years..." I said, recalling what he had said.

Adam chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Yeah... I guess you could say that. It's... weird, though, you know? Finding out your dad had a whole other life, and then... you."

"I get it," I said, feeling the weight of my own discovery pressing against me. "I've spent my whole life knowing about him, kind of, but not really knowing... and now, all at once, it's like this puzzle that finally makes sense."

He nodded, looking down at his hands. "I always wondered if I'd meet... you. A sister. Someone who's... family. I didn't even know that was possible."

"It's possible," I said softly. "And it doesn't have to be perfect. We're not perfect. But... we're here."

He smiled faintly, a little shy. "So... what do we do now?"

I shrugged, feeling a strange mix of relief and sadness. "I don't know. We figure it out. Slowly. Together. I guess we start with... just being siblings. Talking. Learning about each other."

"Yeah," he said, finally looking up at me. His green eyes met mine, tentative but open. "I'd like that. I really would."

I smiled, feeling something ease inside me that I didn't realize had been so tight for so long. "Me too, Adam. Me too."

We sat there for a moment, just breathing, the quiet outside filling the space between us. And for the first time that day, amidst all the chaos, it felt like... family. Something real, even if messy, even if unexpected.

I stayed in the quiet of the diner's parking lot long after Adam had been revealed to have been dead, reminiscent of everything, thinking of the conversations the ghoul and I had... long after Dean and Sam had gone off to deal with whatever mess they always seemed to find. The Impala's engine ticked faintly as it cooled, the glow of the streetlights reflecting off the wet asphalt. Everything that had just happened; Adam, the photos, the memories, the truth about my father spun through my head like a storm I couldn't slow down.

And then it hit me. Adam hadn't just been... confused or shocked about the revelation of us. He hadn't been alive the whole time. The ghouls. The lies. It was the ghouls' shock, the siblings that lived... The way the world had let Adam slip away without anyone even knowing. It was like the truth had been hiding, just waiting for me to find it.

I wrapped my arms around myself and leaned against the car, trying to process it all. A brother I had never met, a life cut short, a father who had chased the same face through countless years, and me; just starting to figure out who I was supposed to be in all of it.

Even with the anger, the confusion, and the grief twisting in my chest, I felt something else too. A strange calm underneath it all, a quiet understanding that this, everything, was part of something bigger. Something I was only just beginning to see.

I closed my eyes and let the night stretch around me, the silence broken only by the faint hum of the street and the occasional distant sound of life carrying on. Somehow, I knew Castiel would be here. I didn't need him to appear in a flash of light or to announce himself. He always had a way of knowing when I needed him, even before I did.

And I needed him now.

The night was still, the streetlights humming faintly over the wet asphalt. I leaned against the Impala still, my brothers in some diner we stopped at, I didn't want to eat, I wasn't hungry at all, trying to sort through the chaos in my head. And then he was there, quiet as always, but unmistakable.

"Y/N," Castiel said, his voice low, calm, steady. Even now, after everything, just hearing it made the world feel a little less jagged. I looked at him feeling my eyes sting.

"Cas," I whispered, almost relieved, almost afraid all at once.

He tilted his head slightly, reading me, as he always did. "I know what happened," he said. "I know what you have seen. Your brother..."

I swallowed hard. "It's... a lot," I admitted. "Adam... he wasn't... he wasn't alive the entire time. The ghouls... everything Dad didn't tell us..." My voice cracked, and I rubbed at my eyes. "I thought I could understand this family... and then it just keeps twisting."

He came closer, careful, steady. "You are allowed to feel that. Anger, grief... confusion. You are allowed to grieve what was lost, even what never truly was."

I let out a shaky breath, leaning back against the car. "It's just... It's not fair. He... Adam... he never had a chance. And Dad... he always chased the same face, never really noticing the faces that were right in front of him."

Castiel's presence felt like a quiet anchor. "John Winchester's choices were... human. Flawed. But you are not responsible for his mistakes. You are here now, and you are... what you choose to be."

I looked at him, the weight of everything pressing on me, and yet... somehow, it felt like a little light had broken through the storm. "I don't know what that means yet," I admitted. "But I want to figure it out. I want... to understand who I am, in all of this."

"You will," he said simply, and I could hear the certainty behind the words. "I will help you. As I always have. And I will stay with you, Y/N, as long as you need me."

For the first time that night, I felt a calm settle over me. I didn't have all the answers. I didn't know how to fix the past or change what had been lost. But I knew I wasn't alone. I moved to him and hugged him, he held me back, and while we held each other for the first time in a long while, that was enough. He was enough to make me feel better, and with Armageddon right around the corner, I had a feeling he and I would be the finalists. "Take me home," I whispered and boom we were in the motel, lying in bed. Just being for probably the last time for a long time.

Chapter 13: Fall For Me.

Chapter Text

I used to think grief was a one-time thing. Dean had died once, and Sam and I buried him. But it turned out grief was a thief with endless appetite. When Dean came back, it didn't matter. Something in us had already been lowered into the ground, something in Sam and me that never climbed out again. One sibling died, but you buried both.

And now it was happening all over again. Dean wasn't dead, but the angels had taken him, swallowed him up in their endless chess game. And Sam... Sam had abandoned me for something worse than Heaven or Hell. He left for revenge. He left for Ruby. He left for power.

So it was just me. Again. The girl with the wrong blood, the wrong destiny, who wanted nothing more than normal but kept waking up in a nightmare.

The motel clock ticked too loudly. The room smelled of cigarette smoke, mildew, and the kind of loneliness that clung to walls long after the guests had gone. I sat on the edge of the bed, fingers tangled in the cheap bedspread, and let the silence tell me the truth: I'd been left behind.

Normal girls my age were probably sitting at kitchen tables, eating cereal, rolling their eyes at their moms. I wanted that so badly it hurt; I wanted the kind of life that didn't end in blood, betrayal, and the hollow ache of empty rooms.

But I wasn't normal. And tonight, neither was the world.

Lucifer was about to rise.

I was in the middle of a field, grass brushing my knees, stars smeared across the sky like ash. My voice cracked when I shouted.

"Cas!" I yelled. "Castiel!" My knees hit the damp ground. "Goddamn it, Cas." The tears burned, but I couldn't stop them. Ever since he'd been dragged back to Heaven, chaos had followed. He hadn't responded to me. Sam disappeared. Dean went after him. I hadn't seen either of them since.

"I can't find my brothers!" My voice splintered. The air smelled like rain and iron. I felt like I was at the beginning again. Both my brothers are gone. I'm alone. Weak.

"You are not weak."

The voice cut through the night. My head snapped up. Cas stood in front of me, trench coat ruffling against a breeze that wasn't there. His eyes were softer than I remembered. I reached for him, and he pulled me to my feet.

"Where are they!?" I begged. His sigh was heavy, ancient.

"Dean is under our care... Getting ready for Armageddon..."

I wrapped my arms around him, tears spilling. His presence was the first thing in weeks that felt solid.

"Sam... Is..." He stuttered. "Going to break the last seal by killing Lilith and letting Lucifer free." He whispered.

"What?" My stomach dropped. His gaze met mine, sadness thick in his eyes.

"I'm sorry- I just found out myself-"

"No... No..." My fingers dug into his shoulders. "Please, Cas, stop this... We need to stop this."

"My superiors-"

"This is wrong!" My palms framed his face, desperate. "Fall for me," I whispered. His eyes widened.

"You said you would fall for me if I asked..." My voice broke. "You were gonna help us! Before they took you away, we were so close, we were... together." I reached down, taking his hand.

He pressed his forehead to mine, our noses bumping.

"I'll Fall..." He whispered. "For you." He leaned in closer. "We must work quickly." His breath fanned my face.

I kissed him. For a second, he tensed, then slowly kissed me back. When I pulled away, he smiled, a real smile, rare and small but warm enough to reach me. It made me smile, too.

"Let's stop Armageddon," I whispered.

He nodded. His hand closed around mine, and the world blurred.

We were suddenly in a very nice room, a sharp contrast to the cold field, where Dean was standing. Cas grabbed him, turned him to the wall, covering his mouth and shushing him. I pulled out the demon's blade, handing it to Cas. He cut his palm, painting the sigil on the wall.

"Castiel?! Y/N!?" Zachariah's voice thundered. He appeared, but Cas didn't stop.

"Would you so kindly explain what you're doing!?"

Zachariah charged, but Cas slammed his hand down on the sigil. The angel's light flared, and he was sent back to Heaven in a beam of white fire.

I flipped him off as he vanished.

"Dean, we need to stop Sam!" I said, turning. Dean's eyes burned with confusion.

"Why!? Where is he?"

"We don't know, but I know someone who does. We must stop him, Dean. From killing Lilith." Cas said.

"But Lilith is gonna break the final seal-"

"Lilith is the final seal!" I yelled.

"She dies, the end begins," Cas said, gripping our arms. In the next breath, we were at Chuck's.

He gave us a new chapter.

"St. Mary's, the covenant?" I asked, and Cas nodded.

"Uh, yeah! But you guys aren't in this story, you're not supposed to be there!" Chuck's eyes darted around.

"Yeah, well..." Cas looked at me. "We're making it up as we go."

I smiled a little, but the house started to shake. Lights blared through the windows.

"It's the Archangels! Go and stop Sam! I'll hold them off, I'll hold them all off!" Cas shouted over the screeching.

"What!? No, you'll die!" I grabbed him.

"Well, at least I fell for you before I did." His smile broke my heart.

"I'm not leaving you here!" My voice cracked.

He smiled, kissed my head, pressed his fingers to Dean's forehead, and Dean vanished. He looked at me, and I shook my head. He leaned in, but before our lips touched, he sent me away.

Suddenly, I was next to Dean.

"No!" I screamed. Dean grabbed me.

"Y/N! We have to stop our brother!"

I nodded, swallowing hard. "I-... Okay," I said.

We ran into the convent. The hall smelled of old stone and candle wax. We saw them ahead. Ruby turned, slamming the door shut on us.

"Scabies bitch." I muttered, trying to flash inside, but my power fizzled. We pounded on the door, kicked it. Nothing.

"Sam!" Dean yelled.

"Sam, don't do it!" I screamed, slamming the door.

"Sammy!" We yelled in unison.

"Dean, move!" I ordered. He backed up. I lifted my hand. A bright flash ripped the door off its hinges.

"You're too late!" Ruby sneered.

"Like we give a fuck." My voice was low.

Sam grabbed Ruby, holding her. I pulled my angel blade, and Dean pulled out hers. Together, we sank them into her, killing her instantly. She crumpled.

Sam looked at us, eyes hollow.

"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry."

I grabbed him. "Let's go!"

"Dean... Y/N... He's coming..." Sam whispered.

We ran for the door, but it locked. The screeching rose like metal on bone. My knees hit the floor, and then, suddenly, we were on a plane. Calm.

"Y/N?" Dean mumbled.

"It wasn't me," I said.

The pilot's voice crackled. We were over the city where the convent had been.

"Weren't we just there?" Dean muttered.

Then- BOOM. A blast of light. The airbags dropped. I grabbed mine, snapping it on.

Later, in Chuck's town, the world felt off-kilter. His house was a mess, blood smeared on the walls.

As I turned, someone came at me with a plunger. I ripped it away with a flick of my wrist.

"Y/N? Dean?" Chuck exhaled. "Thank God you're okay."

"Where is-"

"Sam, thank god you're alive!" He rushed to Sam. "My last vision- your heart rate was 200! Your temperature was 150! Your eyes went black!"

"Your eyes went black?" Dean mumbled.

I turned Chuck to face me. "Where... Is... Castiel!?"

"He's... He's dead."

I froze.

"Or gone! The Archangels smote the crap out of him! I'm sorry, Y/N I knew about it... You guys..."

"Are you sure? He didn't go into the light or something-"

"Oh no- he like EXPLODED! Like a balloon filled with chunky soup!"

The words blurred. Tears streamed uncontrollably.

"Oops." He whispered.

I turned away, walked to the front porch, and covered my face.

"Cas?" I whispered. Silence answered. I sat down and cried until I saw a flash — wiped my face clean and popped back in.

"This sucks ass," Chuck muttered.

"Damn straight... I'll be at the motel," I said, vanishing.

I got a room. Sat on the bed. And cried. Someone that close to me. Exploded. Dead.

Dinner with my brothers was silent until there was a knock. We all sat up. I stood beside the table, Dean on the bed. Sam opened the door. A girl stood there, hyperventilating.

"You okay, lady?" Sam asked.

"Sam? Is it you!?" She stepped forward, touching his chest. "And you're so firm!"

"Uh... Do I know you?" Sam asked.

"No, but I know you. You're Sam Winchester, and you're-" She stopped when she saw Dean. "Not what I pictured."

"Ha!" I laughed.

"And you're Y/N! You're better than I pictured!"

"Okay, okay, what's the message?" Sam asked.

"Michael's sword is on earth. The angels lost it."

Becky's eyes shone. Sam pried her hands off. Eventually, I sent her outside.

I was in my room, staring at the ceiling, tracing cracks in the plaster with my eyes like they were roadmaps out of this life. The motel smelled like old smoke, stale coffee, and every broken promise we'd ever made each other. My brothers were somewhere else, chasing monsters, chasing revenge, chasing anything but me.

Then I heard a whisper.

Y/N...

It wasn't a sound so much as a thread pulled tight through my chest. Dean? Was he praying to me? My stomach turned cold. I blinked, and the room dissolved.

I popped downstairs into chaos. Bobby was on the floor, blood blooming through his shirt like a black flower.

"No!" I screamed, dropping to my knees.

A demon was on Dean, straddling him, fists slamming into his face. Dean fought to push him off, but he was losing fast.

The angel blade was already in my hand before I could think. One clean stab and the black smoke ripped out of the body, shrieking, before disappearing into nothing.

Another demon—the one beating on Sam—whirled on me.

"Meg," I hissed, blade up.

She gave me that smirk like she'd been waiting for this, then smoke poured out of the host before I could strike..

I scrambled to Bobby, pressing useless hands to his wounds, my heart pounding so hard it made my vision shake.

Hours blurred. The hospital smelled like disinfectant and hopelessness. Machines beeped in rhythm with my breath. Dean's eyes met mine, and for a second, we were kids again, back in some ugly motel with Dad gone.

"I'll stay," I said before he could ask. "You two go."

Dean hesitated, jaw tight, but nodded. Sam's face was unreadable.

"I'll keep him safe," I promised.

They left.

I made up a story about a mugging for the cops. They let me sit in the room after surgery. Bobby looked small under all that tubing. I sat down and waited, answering questions I didn't remember answering, staring at the door like maybe my brothers would walk through it, like maybe this time would be different. My eyes stung.

"Don't cry."

My head snapped up. My heart stuttered.

He was standing there, a faint smile on his face.

I stood so fast that the chair scraped the tile. Then I was in his arms, and the hospital room dissolved.

"How?" I laughed, tears hot against my cheeks.

"I have no clue," he murmured into my hair. "But I'm here."

He pulled back, his eyes endless. "I need to do something to you."

"Okay... What is it?"

His hand pressed against my chest. A fiery pain seared through my ribs. I gasped.

"I'm sorry," he whispered. "But I engraved Enochian into your ribs so no angel, even Lucifer, can find you."

"How will you find me?" My voice was small.

He pulled out a phone.

"My phone number?" I smiled through the sting.

He nodded.

"Can't we just do our thoughts thing?"

"If that is better. But I may need to call sometimes."

"You gonna text me and stuff?"

His brow furrowed. "What is text?"

I almost laughed. "I'll teach you."

He leaned down, forehead pressed to mine, a strange awkwardness to his tenderness.

"This is to show my affection to you," he whispered and kissed me. His lips were warm, unpracticed, but the meaning was clear. I wrapped my arms around him, breathing him in like I could keep him here.

"I have to go," he whispered.

"Call me?"

"I will."

Then he was gone. The air felt emptier without him. Seconds later, the boys walked in, smelling of road dust and grief.

The next morning, I sat in a plastic chair reading a mythology book, its pages soft from too much use. Sam and Dean stood at the door talking, voices low, like I wasn't there.

My phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Y/N, it's me, Castiel."

I hummed. "Calling me already?"

"That I am. Where are you?"

"Same hospital as last night."

"I will be there."

"Bye," I said, and he hung up.

"Who was that?" Sam asked as I stood.

"Cas. He's heading over."

Almost seconds later, he was walking up. Dean's eyebrows shot up.

"Really? Cas? Since when do angels need to use cell phones?"

"You're hidden from angels now," Cas said flatly. "All angels. I won't be able to simply-"

"Enough foreplay!" Bobby barked from his bed. "Get over here and lay your damn hands on!"

I had tried to heal Bobby myself, but paralysis was too much.

"Get healing!" Bobby yelled.

"I... I can't." Cas's voice cracked.

"Say again?" Bobby turned to face us. Cas grabbed my hand and pulled me with him, like he couldn't stand without touching me.

"I am cut off from Heaven, and much of Heaven's power," he said. "Certain things I can do and some I can't..."

"You telling me you lost your mojo just in time for me to get stuck in this trap for the rest of my life!?" Bobby roared.

"I'm sorry..." Cas mumbled.

"Shove it up your ass."

"At least he's talking now," Dean muttered.

"I heard that!" Bobby barked.

I held Castiel's arm tighter. He glanced at me, eyes darker than I'd ever seen them.

"I don't have much time to talk," he said, turning to Sam and Dean. "Your plan to kill Lucifer—"

"You wanna help?" Dean asked.

"No. It's foolish. It can't be done. But I think I have a solution."

"What is it?" I asked.

"The person who can stop Lucifer and end the Apocalypse."

"Who?" Sam asked.

"The one who resurrected me and put you three on the plane. God. I'm going to find God."

I stared at him, heart rattling.

"God?" Dean asked.

"Yes."

"God?"

"Yes. He isn't in Heaven, so he has to be on Earth."

"Try New Mexico. I heard he's on a tortilla," Dean said, smirking.

I rolled my eyes.

"No. He's not on any flatbread," Cas said after a second of thought.

Dean laughed bitterly. "Even if there is a God, he's either dead, and that's the generous theory-"

"He is out there, Dean-"

"OR! He's up and kicking and doesn't give a rat's ass about any of us. Look at the world right now! We're at the end of our days and he's somewhere drinking booze from a coconut, alright!?"

"Enough!" Cas's order cracked like a whip. I shivered.

"This is not a theological issue. It is strategic. With God's help, we can win!"

"It's a pipe dream, Cas."

"I killed two angels this week. Those are my brothers. I'm hunted. I rebelled, and I did all of it for the sake of you, and you failed."

The words landed like a blade. I slipped away from him, shame coiling in my stomach. I had asked him to fall. I had asked for this.

"You and your brother destroyed the world!" His voice rose, but he didn't look at me. He didn't say my name. "And I lost everything but one person, and I thank the universe for that..."

Who? My heart caught.

"So keep your opinions to yourself."

Dean narrowed his eyes. "You just didn't come here to tear a new one into us. What is it you want?"

"I did come for something. An amulet. Very rare. Very powerful. It burns hot in God's presence; it'll help me find Him."

"Like God EMF?" Sam asked.

Cas nodded.

"I don't know what you're talking about. I don't have anything like that," Bobby said.

"You don't," Cas said, looking at Dean, then at the necklace on his chest.

"This?" Dean asked.

"May I borrow it-"

"No!" Dean growled.

"Dean, give it to me."

"Alright..." Dean started taking it off. "I guess." He held it out. "Don't lose it!"

Cas nodded, slipping it into his coat.

"Great... Now I feel naked." Dean rolled his shoulders.

"I'll-"

"Cas, can I talk to you in the hall?" I asked.

He looked at me, nodded, and followed. The hallway smelled like bleach and ghosts.

"Do you blame me, too? Did I fail you?" My voice cracked.

He shook his head slowly. "Your brother Dean broke the first Seal, and Sam broke the last... You simply got caught in the crossfire. I can not blame you for something you had no part in. You can not fail me." His hand cupped my cheek. "As I said, I lost everything but one person. You."

The words hit harder than any blade. My chest tightened.

He smiled faintly. "Now I must go. I hoped this was some consolation."

"It was," I whispered.

He leaned down, kissed me softly, and then he was gone.

I stood in the empty hallway, the smell of bleach rising like a tide, the sound of the hospital machines muffled behind the door. For a moment, even with everything falling apart, I didn't feel abandoned.

The ride back to the motel felt longer than it was. Dean kept one hand steady on the wheel, the other drumming restlessly against the console. He finally broke the silence.

"How did you know to come in? Right then?"

I hesitated, eyes fixed on the streaks of light blurring past the windows. "I just... did."

Dean glanced at me, like he wanted to press, but thought better of it. "Well. You were right on time." His voice was flat, tired, but under it, I caught the gratitude he wasn't good at saying.

I nodded, but didn't answer. Because how was I supposed to explain it? I felt him pulling me, like gravity. That I'd always feel him, even when he was halfway to Heaven's doorstep.

When we got back, the motel room was still the same stale box it had been that morning. Dean collapsed onto one of the beds, staring up at the ceiling with that tight, haunted look he wore like a second skin. I sat across from him, hands knotted in my lap.

For a long time, I just listened. To the whirr of the old AC unit, to Dean's breathing evening out, to the nothing pressing in from every side. And in that nothing, the truth hit me again: it wasn't just that people left. It was that they left pieces of you behind with them.

Sam had taken my trust with him when he followed Ruby. Dean was still here, but the angels had their grip on him, tugging him toward something I couldn't reach. And me... I was stranded in the space they left behind, piecing myself together from scraps.

I thought of Bobby, the way he'd pulled me out of my own darkness when no one else could. He'd reminded me I was more than bloodlines and prophecies. But nights like this made me wonder if he was wrong. Maybe all I'd ever be was the girl stuck between two wars, waiting for whichever side claimed me first.

I turned my head and looked at Dean. His eyes were closed, his shoulders finally slack. He'd fallen asleep in his boots, like he couldn't risk letting his guard down all the way. For a moment, I let myself believe that hearing him... really hearing him; meant I wasn't completely useless. That even if I couldn't stop Sam from slipping further, or the angels from taking what they wanted, I could still anchor Dean when he needed it most.

It wasn't normal. It wasn't a kitchen table or a safe morning. But it was something. And tonight, something had to be enough.

Chapter 14: Love and War.

Chapter Text

After the call, Bobby got from Rufus, we headed out to River Pass, Colorado. We parked the impala at the broken bridge and I grabbed my brothers and popped us over into town. We talked about the road seeing overturned cars and abandoned buildings. We checked cars and buildings. One car I did notice was the bright red one, which Dean and I whistled at, we looked at each other smiling, but then saw blood splattering the ground, following it we heard a gun cock so we turned and saw... Ellen.

"Ellen?" I asked.

"Hello, you three." She said putting the gun down and walking over.

"Ellen, what the hell is going on here?" Dean asked. She threw holy water at him and then drew the gun again, but nothing happened. Duh. "We're us." He said and she then just walked away, we walked with her, going to her hideout We stopped and she turned.

"I'm so glad to see you guys." She hugged Dean tightly before pulling away and slapping him hard, I flinched. "The can of whoop-ass I ought to open on you!" She yelled. "You can't pick up a phone!? Are you allergic to giving me peace of mind!?" She yelled. "I had to find out you were alive from Rufus!?"

"We're sorry..." We all mumbled in unison.

"You'd better be! You better put me on speed dial!"

"Yes ma'am." We muttered in unison. She went silent before hugging me, and then Sam, we walked down and I spoke up.

"What's happening here, Ellen?"

"More than I can handle alone, kid."

"How many demons?" Sam asked.

"The whole town, minus the dead people and these folks." She said and I looked at the group. She looked at us. "Is it end times?" She asked.

"Seems like it," Sam mumbled. We walked in the group looked at us.

"This is Sam, Dean and Y/N, they're hunters and they're here to help." She said.

"You guys hip to this whole demon thing?" A guy asked us and I nodded.

"That we are," I said. "You?"

"My wife's eyes turned black and she came at me with a brick. Kinda makes you embrace the paranormal." A guy mumbled and I got a bad vibe from him, I hummed.

"Catch us up," Dean said.

"I doubt I know much more than you. Rufus called and said he was in town investigating omens, all of a sudden the town was possessed, and I was nearby-"

"You and Jo hunting together?" I smiled and she hummed nodding.

"For a while now. Anyway, we got here and the place was like you see it." She said and I hummed. "Couldn't find Rufus, then Jo and I got separated, was out looking when I found you."

"We'll find her," I said and she nodded.

"These people can't just sit here, we need to get them out now," Sam said.

"Not that easy. We've been trying, and once we made a run for it-"

"What happened?"

"There used to be twenty for us." She said.

"I'm gonna take a look around," I said and she went to speak but I was gone. I was out in the street it was seemingly empty I hummed then I was by a different street, and then I was back. Ellen was gobsmacked.

"What the fuck!?"

"Is she a demon!?" The one with glasses yelled.

"No! No!" Dean yelled putting his hands up.

"Oops," I whispered. "Dean it's okay, I got this." I smiled and I stepped forward. I flashed my eyes blue. "I'm an angel," I said and they gawked. "That was cool right?" I giggled and Dean rolled his eyes.

"You're an angel!?" The priest gasped and I smiled.

"That I am! I can't even get possessed." I giggled and I popped up next to him. "Well, I'm half angel, half human," I said. While my brothers left I helped the people learn how to use the guns I had on me, they learned fast, and I strayed away from Roger, he was weird. I looked at him and his energy was just off... I sighed.

"You wanna come with me?" Ellen asked and I hummed nodding.

"It was weird Ellen," I said and she looked at me. "I didn't sense one demon coming into town..." I said and she hummed. While walking outside I hummed. "This is so odd," I said and she looked at me.

"Darn tooting. Especially you! You're half-angel?"

"Dad fucked Angel wearing mom's meat," I said and she looked at me.

"Like mom- mom? Mary?" She asked and I nodded.

"Yeah, Meredith was the Angel, she borrowed Mom's body for a John joy ride," I said and she hummed.

"Hey look!" Sam pointed to smoke.

"A chimney," I said.

"Demons don't get cold." He said as we walked to it.

"So what are they burning," I whispered as we walked up onto the porch. Suddenly we got jumped and I popped away to the other side, but when I looked at them, I saw black eyes but no demon, their eyes suddenly faded as I realized there was something up.

"What the?" So I kept avoiding the hits, I didn't want to fight back.

"How is she doing that!?" Jo yelled and suddenly Ellen ran off, and I grabbed Jo.

"I don't have black eyes!" I yelled and she looked at me.

"You- You don't." She said and I nodded.

"It's me, Jo," I said and she sighed, my brother was now knocked out. We went inside and Rufus tied Sam up against my protests.

"How were you doing that... Teleporting?" She asked.

"I'm half angel, my powers didn't kick in until after Dean was raised from hell," I said and Rufus laughed.

"Full of shit! Angels don't exist!" I stood up and tapped his forehead showing him all my powers and the angels, he gasped.

"Now enough. What's happening!?"

"Demons are filling up the town."

"No there isn't. I can see Demons... Their real faces." I said and he tilted his head. "I haven't seen one," I said and she hummed. "I gotta go. I'll be back." I said. "Oh and... Don't hurt my brother," I said and I popped up in the church. "Dean there are no demons," I said and they looked at me.

"We just figured it out," He said. "It's War, the horsemen."

"The cherry mustang," I said and he snapped at me. "I haven't seen one demon," I said.

"But their black eyes." The guy said.

"I'm not like you," I explained. "I don't see the person, I see the demon's face, the real face behind the meat suit," I said and they looked startled.

"Isn't that scary?" The pregnant woman asked.

"It was yeah, at first... When I was little all they had were black eyes, but when I got my powers... Their faces are horrific." I said. "But it's normal now," I said and I huffed. "I'm gonna go back." I popped out and I was in the room with Sam, and Roger was there. "You," I whispered and he smirked running out. "Guys, you need to listen to me."

"No time, we gotta prepare." He said leaving and I huffed, for the next while they ignored me until while they were putting pipe bombs up I said.

"It's the apocalypse," I said and they looked at me. "The four horsemen." And then Boom! They went to the boom and I sighed. "No one ever listens to me!" I yelled as I ran upstairs.

"Y/N!" Sam yelled and I ran in.

"It's war." We said in unison.

"Dean figured it out, I knew the whole time their demon thing was off," I said, cutting him free. "We need to find the Roger fake," I said and he nodded.

"It's the ring." He said and I nodded. I pulled him up and we ran downstairs, we ran to the Mustang, and I popped up in front of him.

"Hey War," I said and he smiled at me, Dean got him from under the arms and Sam pinned his arm, I pulled out my blade smiling wide.

"Okay okay, that's a sweet knife but you can't kill war kiddo." He said and I hummed.

"I know," I said slicing his finger off the ring dropped, and he and the car were gone, I picked up the ring.

Sitting on the side of a mountain Sam confessed he was leaving and I felt a sting in my heart, I hugged my brother before he left, and then he walked away. Dean and I just continued hunting... Today we got a motel and we both got our rooms, for once we were both alone, which was very odd. I sat on the bed and looked at a photo of us three, happy, before all this bullshit, I sighed putting it down on my side table. I felt the bed shift and I saw him laying there. "Hello, Y/N." He said and I smiled moving to him.

"Do you ever get comfortable?" I asked and he looked at me curiously. "You're wearing three layers... Do you have time?"

"I have time." He said and I chuckled.

"Then shed some!" I pulled on his jacket and he sat up slipping it off, then his other one leaving him in the white one. "Shoes," I said and he huffed removing that as well. "And lastly, the tie." I loosened it enough to just pull it off, and then I pulled him done, lying down. He pulled me to him and I played with his hair. "Now isn't that comfortable?" I asked and he hummed.

"You are right." He said and I hummed smiling, he was just looking at me.

"Can you stay the night? I whispered and he nodded.

"I need to speak to Dean in the morning anyway. He's asleep though." He said and I nodded. "I wanted to see you first anyway." He pushed his face into my neck and he hummed, I smiled. "I've never... Felt, let alone this way."

"What do you mean?" I asked and he gazed at me.

"This feeling of..." He trailed off. "Fuzzy." He mumbled confused and I chuckled.

"Are you saying you're feeling... Love." I whispered and he looked at me nodding.

"For you." He said and I bit my lip. "Tell me how to express it to you properly." He said squinting at me and I chuckled. "Relationship." He said and I looked at him surprised.

"I've never... Been in a relationship." I confessed and he nodded. If you ever be in a relationship, be ready for them to be in danger 24/7, they might die, and it'll be on you, little girl. My dad always warned me about love. "But... You're not human. So... You're in danger anyway." I murmured. "Okay," I said and he began smiling. "We can be... Boyfriend and girlfriend." I chuckled, so corny. "So lover boy, why do you need to talk to Dean?" I asked.

"Both you." He said looking down at me. "I'll tell you tomorrow. For now, sleep." He whispered and I sighed, leaning in and kissing him.

The next morning we popped into Dean's room, where he was cleaning his jacket from our latest vampire. Castiel was right behind Dean and I smiled. Dean looked up and jumped. "Goddamn it, Cas!" He groaned. "Don't do that!" He turned around and they were very close in proximity. "Cas..." He whispered. "We talked about this." He said and Cas nodded. "Personal space." He said and I giggled, Dean, looked in and saw me on his bed.

"My apologies." He whispered.

"How'd you find me? I thought I was flying under the angel's radar?" Dean asked walking over to me and his bag beside me.

"You are. Bobby told me." He walked around seemingly searching for something. "Where is Sam?"

"Sam and Us are taking separate vacations for a while." He said and I looked down, Castiel looked at me and tilted his head. "So! Have you found god yet? More importantly, can I have my necklace back?" Dean said, irritated, he's been over-irritated recently.

"No. I haven't found him, that's why I'm here. I need both of your help." He said.

"With what? A 'God' hunt? Not interested." He said.

"Not god. Someone else." He said.

"Who?" I asked.

"The Archangel. The one who killed me." He said.

"Excuse me?"

"His name is Raphael," Cas said stepping toward me.

"You were wasted by a Teenage Mutant Ninja Angel?" Dean asked and I laughed.

"Good one!" I giggled and Cas looked at me. "It's a reference," I said and he hummed.

"I've heard whispers that he's walking the earth. This is a rare opportunity."

"For what? Revenge?" Dean asked.

"Information." Cas corrected.

"So what? Do you think if you find this dude he's just gonna spill God's address?" Dean asked.

"Yes." He said looking at me. "Because we will trap him and interrogate him." He said and I hummed.

"You're serious about all this?"

"Yes."

"So what? I'm Thelma, you're Louise and we're just gonna sail off this cliff together?" He asked and Cas looked very confused.

"Another reference," I said and he nodded.

"Give me one good reason why I should do this?" Dean asked.

"You're Michael's vessel and no Angel would dare to harm you," Cas said. "And most fear Y/N." He said and I smiled.

"So I'm a bullet shield and Y/N is a scare tactic!?"

"I need your help. Because you two are the only people who will help me." He said and I frowned.

"I'll help for sure!" I said and Dean glared at me. "Please, Dean?" I pouted and he sighed.

"Alright. Fine." He said and I smiled. "Where is he?"

"Maine. Let's go!" He went to tap Dean's forehead but Dean freaked out.

"Woah, woah!"

"What?" Cas asked concerned.

"Last time you zapped me someplace I didn't poop for a week!" He said and I rolled my eyes. "We're driving." He said and I huffed.

"We're here why?" Dean asked as we got out of the car and I fixed my jacket.

"A deputy laid eyes on the Archangel," Castiel said and I hummed.

"He still has eyes?" I asked and Cas hummed.

"What's the plan?" Dean asked and he looked at me.

"We'll tell the officer he witnessed an Angel of the lord and he'll tell us where he is," Cas said plainly.

"You serious you're just gonna go in there and tell him the truth?" Dean asked and Cas hummed.

"Yeah, why?"

"We're humans Cas," I said taking out a fake ID for him and opening his jacket putting it in, then I straightened his tie. "Humans will think you're crazy so we lie. And when we want something bad, we lie." I said and Cas hummed.

"Why?"

"Because that's how you become President," Dean said smiling and I nodded.

"Wh-..." Cas trailed off. We walked in and I saw the officer.

"Deputy Framingham?" I asked and he turned. "Agent Stevie Turner, FBI these are my partners, Alonzo Mosely and Eddie Moscone," I said pointing at Dean and then Castiel. Dean flashed his Badge but Castiel just stood there. "Also FBI," I said and tapped him.

Take your badge out.

He then reached into his jacket and pulled his badge out and opened it holding it upside down. Without saying anything I reached over and took it turning it around and placing it back in his hand, which he didn't move as I did. "He's new," Dean said smiling and the deputy nodded.

"Mind if we ask a few questions?" I asked and Cas looked at his badge curiously, then slipped it back into his jacket, he was adorable.

"Yeah, sure. Let's talk in here though." He said and we nodded as we followed him into the office. "My hearings all blown to shit in this one." He pointed to his ear and I hummed.

"So, what happened recently?"

"At the gas station?" He asked and I nodded. "That's why you're here ain't it?"

"Yes, it is," I said and he nodded.

"You mind running us through what happened?" Dean asked and he nodded.

"A call came in, Disturbance out at the pump n' go on route 4." He started and I nodded along with him.

"What kind of disturbance?" I asked and he huffed.

"Would not have believed my eyes if I had not seen it myself. We're talking riot. Full scale." He said looking at me and I nodded.

"How many?" I asked and he sighed.

"Thirty, forty?" He questioned. "In all-out, kill or be killed combat." He said and I hummed.

"Any idea why?" I asked and Cas placed a hand on my thigh.

"It's angels and demons probably." He said and I looked at him. He did not- "They're skirmishing all over the globe." He looked at the deputy.

"Come again? What did he just say?"

"Nothing." Dean and I said in unison.

"Demons," Cas said at the same time.

"Nothing." Again Dean and I said in unison.

"Demons," Cas said once more and I huffed.

"Inner-Demons! Drugs, Alcohol, Adultery." I laughed awkwardly.

"We all have our demons, Walt. Right?" Dean asked and I nodded.

"I guess..." He mumbled and I hummed.

"What happened next?" I asked and he relaxed a bit.

"Freaking explosion. That's what," He said and I raised my eyebrows. "Oh, they said it was one of those underground gas tanks... But I don't think so." He said and I leaned forward.

"Why not?" I asked.

"It wasn't your usual fireball." He said trailing off. "It was..."

"Pure white?" Castiel leaned forward, his eyes tense but... Questioning. His hand hadn't left my thigh either.

"Yeah!" he said surprised that Castiel knew. "Gas station was levelled." He continued explaining. "Everyone was... It was just horrible." He huffed. "Then I see this one guy, kneeling there... Real-focused like. He was just standing there, not a damn scratch on him."

"You know him?" Dean asked and he nodded.

"Donnie Finnerman. The mechanic there."

"And let me guess. He just vanished into thin air?" Dean asked slyly.

"Uh, No, Kolchak." He said and I snorted. "He's down at St. Pete's." Castiel turned toward me, looking me in the eyes stating.

"St. Pete's." I blinked at him.

"Thank you," I said nodding and he smiled at me, winking, before looking back forward. We left after that and left for St. Pete's, where we were shown his room and we looked through the window. He was slumped over, in a wheelchair, I could see there was no angel there, and there barely was a person.

"I take it that's not Raphael anymore?" Dean asked and I nodded.

"Just an empty vessel." Castiel huffed.

"This is what I'm looking at if Michael jumps my bones?" Dean asked and Cas turned to him.

"No, not at all. Michael is much more powerful. It'll be far worse for you." Cas said and I hummed.

"Put it bluntly Cas." I chuckled.

"I did." He said and I shook my head smiling. Later that night I sat on a couch that was barely a couch, I saw Dean then walk into the room carrying a book. Cas was suddenly next to me holding two old vases.

"Where ya been Cassy?" I asked leaning on my arm and smiling flirtatiously and he looked at me.

"Jerusalem," he said and I hummed.

"How was that?" Dean asked and Cas walked to the table putting down the vases.

"Arid." He put it simply.

"What are the Vases?" I asked standing up.

"Oil. It is very special and very rare." He said and I hummed, he sat down pulling me to him.

"Good, we're gonna trap Raphael with a nice Vinaigrette?" Dean said sarcastically.

"No."

"So this ritual of yours, when is it gonna go down?" Dean asked and I looked at Cas for the answer.

"Sunrise." He said, rubbing my back.

"You keep saying we're gonna trap this guy," Dean said. "Isn't that like trapping a hurricane in a butterfly net?" Dean finished.

"No. It's harder." He said and I gulped.

"Do we have any chance of surviving this?" I asked and Castiel looked up at me.

"You two do." He said and I looked at him.

"What?"

"Odds are you're a dead man tomorrow?" He asked and I looked down.

"Yes." He stated.

"Oh." Dean walked to us. "So last night on earth... what are your plans? Do girls booze? Or you just gonna die a virgin?" Dean questioned him, I rolled my eyes at him.

"Women and alcohol are not of import. I was going to spend it with Y/N," he said and I tensed.

"Doing what?" Dean asked and Cas looked at me, I looked back at him.

"Sit here quietly." He said and I smiled a little.

"Okay well..." He looked at me and then at Cas, I cocked my head for him to go where he wanted, 'cause I knew he wanted to. "I'll be at the strip club." He said walking out and I looked at Cas, he smiled at him. suddenly he was standing and pushing me, and then we were in a bed in the motel I still had rented, I giggled and he kissed me.

"Cas," I whispered as he pulled from me. "You won't die," I said. "I won't let you," I said and he smiled at me. "My brother was surprised by what you said..." I chuckled.

"When you looked my way, I knew you had not told him." He said and I nodded slowly.

"Dean isn't himself right now... He's irritable." I said and he nodded at me.

"I could tell." He said and he leaned in, his lips moving against mine softly, his hands moving to my neck and hips, he pulled back again looking at me.

"Why do you keep pulling away?" I whined and he hummed.

"Because I wish to tell you... If I die..." He mumbled and I frowned. "I do not wish to die a... virgin as your brother put it." He said, squinting at me and I felt fire erupt inside me. He wanted to... Have sex? "Yes. I want to have sex- to make love with you." He said and I chuckled a little.

"Okay," I said feeling hot, I kissed him and he kissed back passionately, I pushed on his jacket and he peeled it off, both of them, I undid his tie and as I did I slipped my tongue into his mouth, he grunted as the kiss turned open mouth, his tongue sliding against mine. He unbuttoned and pulled off my plaid shirt, leaving me in my tank top, I began undoing his button, he ripped it off impatiently and I giggled.

I sat up a little pulled my tank off, and flipped him, straddling his hips I looked at his chest and body, and I smiled. I moved down his body, unbuttoning his pants, pulling his belt out, and yanking his pants off, I pushed my hand against the tent in his boxers and he hissed out a moan. I felt proud I was the one making him all hot and flustered. I stroked his cock through his boxers smiling, his was bigger compared to the guys I've had in the past for sure but still average. I sat up and pulled my jeans off, and that left us both in our underwear, I hummed, might as well give him a show for his first time, he prompted himself up on his elbows and I pulled my bra off first and he watched licking his lips. "You're beautiful." He whispered an I smiled, I then moved to his hips and pulled his boxers down, I watched his cock pop free and I licked my lips. I tossed his boxers aside and I licked a stripe up his cock, he rolled his head back, moaning softly, I smiled and took him into my mouth, bobbing my head, he grabbed my hair and thrusted into my mouth, and gagged a bit, his voice gravely as he groaned, it gave me shivers, I felt so wet. He looked down at me, those blue eyes flared up for me. I pulled off and he huffed looking at me. "Y/N-" he grunted and I smiled pulling my panties off, I crawled up him, straddling him again.

"You ready for the main event?" I whispered and he nodded at me, his hands rubbing my thighs. I positioned myself and I listened to him as I sunk, feeling him fill me. He let out a shaky breath, I watched his eyes roll back as his head hit the pillows, and his lips parted as I heard him moan, long and strained. "Fuck." I muttered, he just made me even hornier the way he reacted, I raised myself and sank again and he grunted, his hands gripping my hips.

"Please keep going-" he begged and I shivered, raising my hips and slamming back down the way he wanted, as he filled me again I whined in pleasure, his hips started involuntarily bucking up to meet with mine and I moaned out as he did, suddenly he was grabbing me, flipping us, I looked up at him surprised at first but his thrust cut that short and I yelped in pleasure, he leaned down wrapping his arms around me as he kept going, again and again, he was panting into my neck when I grabbed his face and kissed him, and he kissed me back. I reached down rubbing my clit as we kissed and I squeaked as my orgasm approached.

"Castiel- I'm gonna-" I gasped as he did one hard, and it happened to hit my G-spot and I tensed, gasping, my legs beginning to shake as he continued through my orgasm, I grabbed his shoulders and his thrusts became sloppy and lost rhythm until he froze burying himself deep inside me, groaning deeply and I moaned feeling him cum inside me, I groaned as he slowly thrust, riding out our orgasms, and when stilled he laid on me and I wrapped my arms around him playing with his hair. I suddenly got a call and I reached over, neither of us moving and I answered. "H-Hello?" I asked and was silent for a split second.

"You okay? You sound like you ran a marathon." Dean said.

"Oh! Uh, took a shower and ran out to get a coke." I said and he hummed.

"So you're at the motel?" He asked and I grunted.

"Yes sir, Cas and I... Watched a movie and talked." I said and I felt him chuckle. It was a cute one.

"Anyway, I was just calling to make sure you're both okay." He said. "Got back to the house and you both were gone so." He said and I hummed.

"Okay, buh-bye," I said and he hummed and I hung up, Cas hovered above me smiling. "Let's shower," I said and he hummed.

"I don't need to." He held his hand up but I grabbed it.

"I want to, with you," I said and he began to smile, and he nodded. He pulled out slowly and I grunted, he helped me up and we walked to the bathroom. "You're so lucky I'm on birth control," I joked and he grunted, he was leaning into me, he looked tired but he was just distracted by thought, I could tell. We stood in the shower. "What?" I asked and his lips did this half smile and I just melted seeing it.

"I'm replaying everything in my head." He whispered into my ear and I shivered. "It's very nice." He said kissing my neck.

"Oh, heavens, you're gonna kill me," I whispered and he hummed continuing to kiss my neck. When we went back to the house, Castiel had a smirk on his face and seemed way more relaxed, the wonders of Sex. Sunrise came and we snuck into Donnie's room, locking it, Cas put him in the middle of the room, and he began pouring the oil.

"When the oil burns, no Angel can touch or pass through the flames or they die." He explained and I hummed.

"Okay, so we trap him in a steel cage of holy fire, but uh, one question. How the hell do we get him here?" Dean asked.

"There's... Well, almost an open phone line between a vessel and his angel." Cas explained closing the case and putting it down. "One just has to know how to dial." He said bending down beside Donnie and chanting Enochian before saying. "I am here Raphael. Come and get me, you Little Bastard." I smiled as he came and stood beside me.

"Just wondering. What is the average customer wait time to speak to an Archangel?" Dean asked and he looked at me as he lit a match, dropping it.

"Be ready." He said, before leaving Castiel explained there was a high chance that Raphael wouldn't come because he knew it would be a trap, so we set one up back at the place to trick him. I crouched down and looked at the fire.

"You think that dying thing would happen to me?" I asked.

"Please don't test that theory," Cas said and I smiled standing and looking at him, he had a fond smile on his face too. We left after the whole day of waiting.

"That's a day I'll never get back." Dean sighed. I walked in first.

"Y/N! Wait!" Cas grabbed me and I looked inside seeing Raphael, his wings were electricity, it was shocking, heh, he blacked out the room we were in. We walked in slowly as he looked at us.

"Castiel." He said.

"Raphael," Castiel replied, the looks on their faces intense.

"And here I thought you would be impressive. All you do is black out the room?" Dean asked sarcastically.

"And the eastern seaboard." He said and thunder stuck outside. "It is a testament to my unending mercy that I don't smite you here and now." He said, his eyes flashing to me, then to Cas.

"Or you're full of crap!" I said and he looked at me, Cas just as shocked. "I think you're afraid God will bring him back again, and again. Putting him back on the chessboard." I said.

"And smite you, with your candy-ass skirt," Dean added and I held back laughing. "Hi, by the way, I'm Dean."

"I know who you are. And now thanks to him, I know where you are." He said.

"You won't kill him, you wouldn't dare," Castiel said.

"But I will take him to Michael." He said.

"Well, that sounds terrifying. It does." Dean walked to the cooler took out a beer and opened it. "But I'm not going anywhere with you."

"Surely you remember Zachariah giving you stomach cancer."

"What?" I asked confused.

"Yes, that was hilarious." Dean rolled his eyes.

"Yes, well, he doesn't have anything close to my imagination," Raphael smirked.

"Oh yeah?" Dean asked Raphael slowly walked forward and I took a few steps back, bumping into Cas, he wrapped his arms around my waist, and I had my lighter in my hand ready.

"I bet you weren't imagining one thing," I said and his beady eyes snapped to me.

"What?"

"We knew you were coming, you stupid son of a bitch." I said flicking the lighter, his eyes widened, and I dropped it, it lighting the flame, and instead of a low flame, it grew massive in height, and my eyes widened. He looked at Dean.

"Don't look at me, it was their idea." He said and both Cas and I slowly turned our heads to look at him.

"What the fuck?" I whispered and he shrugged.

"Where is he?" Castiel asked and Raphael crossed his arms.

"God?" Cas nodded slowly. "Didn't you hear? Castiel?" He asked. "He's dead, Castiel." He started firmly. "Dead." He sounded hurt himself. I looked up at Cas from behind. "There's no other explanation. He's gone. For good." He said.

"You're lying!" Cas accused

"Am I? Do you remember the 20th century?" Kinda facts though. "You think the 21st is going any better?! Do you think God would have let any of that happen if he were alive?"

"Oh yeah? Then who invented the Chinese basket trick?" Dean asked and I groaned.

"Careful." He spoke softly. "That's my father you speak of, boy."

"Yeah, who would be so proud to know his son jump-started the friggin apocalypse!" Dean yelled.

"Who ran off and disappears? With no instruction and a world to run!?"

"So your dad's deadbeat?! You decide while he's gone to end the world!?" I accused.

"You are living in a godless universe. We're tired." He sounded sad all of a sudden, tears were in his eyes. It pulled at my heartstrings. I started to tear up too like it was my father, when my dad died all I wanted was peace too. "We just want... Paradise." He said.

"So god dies and makes you boss, you think you can do whatever you want!?" Dean yelled and I saw Raphael blink his tears away.

"Yes! And whatever we want, we get!" He yelled the windows blasting out and I jumped closer into Castiel.

"If God is dead, who brought me back!? Who did it!?"

"Did it ever occur to you that maybe Lucifer raised you?" Did he have that kind of juice? Raising the vessel is one thing but an angel?

"No," Cas said.

"Think about it, he needs all the rebellious angels he can find. You know it adds up."

"No, it doesn't!" I yelled and Castiel looked surprised. "Lucifer just another angel like you, do you have the juice to raise an angel?" I asked and he looked at me, silenced. "And besides that, one angel doesn't make a difference in a war of hundreds," I said and Cas pulled on me.

"Let's go." He said and we turned to leave.

"Castiel, I'm warning you, do not leave me here. I will find you." He said and I looked down.

"Maybe one day." Cas pulled me to his hip. "But today, you're my little bitch. I shivered at his words, his voice got so low and dominant.

While driving I couldn't stop thinking about Raphael. How all he wanted was his dad and peace... I thought about my dad, and how... He was. "Guys!" I whined and they looked back at me. "I forgot something at the motel. I'll be back okay!?" I asked and they nodded, I popped up in front of the house, and walked in slowly, as I did, I saw him sitting on the floor, his knees to his chest, his eyes raised and laid on me, he straightened. "I saw the emotion on your face," I said and he looked down. "You're sad," I said and he nodded slowly. "I know a thing or two about deadbeat dads," I said. "My dad would disappear... And half the time I thought he was dead." I said grabbing a wooden slab and pulling the chair to sit in front of him, the piece of wood in my lap.

"What did you do?" He asked.

"Well, unlike my brother, who searched for him... I knew dead or alive... It didn't matter because I had to keep my family together." I said and he looked down. "Maybe starting the Apocalypse wasn't a good idea, and maybe Paradise After doesn't even exist," I said and he shook his head. "But... family does now," I said. "I shouldn't be helping you," I said simply, and I stood up. "But I sympathize for you." And I dropped the plank, breaking the circle. He stood up and stepped over the flame. He faced me, I felt intimidated.

"I shall not forget this." He said touching my cheek. "Your... Words have helped." He explained and I nodded and then he was gone. I was stuck there for a minute before I left.

Chapter 16: Half.

Chapter Text

Sam joined back up with us, and I didn't bat an eye, today though was an odd case, a girl scratched her brains out because of itching powder and a man was electrocuted to death because of a handshake buzzer, then a man de-toothed by the tooth fairy. Dean put together that everything was a childhood lie that parents tell their kids for some odd reason. Dean and I currently sat at the table eating ham sandwiches because well, it would go bad otherwise. Sam walked in. "Guys- seriously!? Still with the ham!?"

"We don't have a fridge!" We yelled in unison with mouthfuls.

"Well, I found something." Dean and I stood to see what Sam had found. "Tooth Fairy attack was here, pop rocks and coke, then itching powder, face freeze, and electrocution. They're all located in a 2-mile radius."

"So blast zone of weird and inside fantasy becomes reality," Dean said.

"So that means what's at the center?" I asked and Sam stood straight.

"Well, four acres of farmland and a house." He said and I hummed.

"Our motel isn't in that circle by chance?" Dean asked and I hummed.

"Yeah, why?" Sam asked he slowly raised his hand and hair was growing from it.

"Dean what the fuck!?" I gawked. "That isn't what I think it is, is it?" I asked and he chuckled.

"I got bored- that nurse was hot!"

"Dean, go and shave it!" I said.

"You can go blind from that too!" Sam said and I looked at him humming.

"Never heard that one," I said and he shrugged.

"Dean don't you use my razor!" He yelled and I chuckled.

"I'm so happy I have a personal room." I sighed. We drove to the house and while we walked up I sensed something, I hummed and Sam went to pick the lock but I stopped him, knocking on the door, he looked at me and then the door opened he smiled at me thanking me. "Hey, there little dude. Your parent's home?" I asked and he hummed.

"Who is asking?"

"The FBI," I said pulling out my thing and holding it up, as did my brothers, he took mine.

"Lemme see." He said and looked it over before handing it back. "My parents are working."

"You mind if we ask a few questions?" I asked.

"Take a look around the house?" Sam followed up.

"I don't know..."

"Trust us, we're the authorities," I said and he nodded slowly. We walked in and he had the stove going to warm soup.

"What's that?" Sam asked and he looked at him.

"Called soup, you heat it and eat it." I chuckled at his response.

"Yeah, I know it's just... I used to make my dinner too when I was a kid." Sam said and I rolled my eyes.

"I did too," I said and Sam looked at me.

"I'm not a kid," Jesse said and I nodded.

"For sure. I'm Y/N." I said and he reached up shaking my hand.

"Jesse." He said and I nodded. This kid had mega energy, but it wasn't angelic or monster-ish, it was demonic, but he was just a kid.

"Nice to meet you." I smiled.

"You draw this?" Dean held up a drawing and I smiled.

"That's the tooth fairy."

"That's what you think the tooth fairy looks like huh?" Dean asked and he nodded.

"Yeah, my dad told me about him." He said and Dean hummed. "What? Didn't your dad tell you about the tooth fairy?" Jesse asked and I chuckled.

"My dad?" Dean asked and he nodded. "No, my dad told me different stories."

"Well, the tooth fairy isn't a story." He said and I hummed.

"Yeah? What about itching powder?"

"That stuff will make you scratch your brains out!" He yelled and I nodded.

"Pop rocks and coke?" I asked and he gasped softly.

"You mix them and you'll end up in the hospital. Everyone knows that."He said and I chuckled, dean then pulled out the buzzer, and he flinched.

"You shouldn't have that."

"Why?" Dean asked.

"It electrocutes you." He said

"It can't," I said. "It's a wind-up toy, completely harmless. Doesn't even have batteries." I said.

"It can't shock you?"

"Nope! All it does is vibrate, when you shake hands, see?" I asked taking it from Dean and pressing it to my hand, and it just buzzed in my hand, he chuckled, We walked out afterward, talking about the unnaturalness of Jesse. we found out that Jesse was adopted, so I took them to go meet the mother, Julia Wright, We walked on the grounds, with no trespassing signs everywhere, ringing the doorbell, and we could talk to her through the door.

"Whatever you're selling, I don't want it." She yelled.

"We aren't salesmen! Agents Page, Plant, and Turner. FBI." I said as we held up our badges.

"Put your badge in the slot, and your partners too." She said and I slipped mine in, then took Sam and Dean's and slipped those in too. After a moment of waiting, a bunch of unlocking happened and I shared a look with my brothers. She opened the door handing them back to us. "What do you want?" She asked.

"We have some questions. About your son?" Sam asked and she looked confused.

"I don't have a son." She said and I hummed.

"He was born March 29th, 1998 in Omaha," I said. "He was put up for adoption. Perhaps his birth wasn't that normal... Even... Demonic?" I asked and her eyes went to terror.

"Stay away from me!" She tried slamming the door but we stopped her.

"Miss Write, wait!" I yelled and we chased her in, she ran to her kitchen and when I ran in she threw salt at me.

"You're- you're not demons?" She asked and Dean spoke.

"How do you know about demons?" He asked if she made us Tea after that, and we all sat down to talk.

"I was possessed. A demon took control over my body and I hurt people." She said after taking a sip.

"That wasn't you Julia," I said and she nodded.

"But I was there. I heard a woman beg for mercy... I felt a young girl's blood drip down my hands."

"That's how you knew about salt," Dean said.

"I picked up tricks, I was in my head for months."

"It wasn't Nine, was it?" I asked and she looked at me slowly nodding. "So your son," I said and she nodded.

"The whole time, the pregnancy, the birth, all of it... I was possessed. The night the baby was born, I was all alone. The pain- the pain was overwhelming. I screamed and it came out as a laugh because the demon was happy." She shook her head. "It used my body, to give birth to a child. When it was over something changed. Maybe it was because the demon was tired or if the pain helped me fight it, but I took control, the demon wailed inside my head and pounded against my skull. I thought my head was gonna explode but I knew... I knew what I had to do." She looked down. "And when I was alone, with the baby... Part of me wanted to kill it. But god, help me, I couldn't do that so I put it up for adoption and I ran." She huffed.

"Who was the father?" Dean asked.

"I was a virgin." She said and I huffed. "Have you seen him? Is he human?"

"His name is Jesse. He lives in Alliance. He's a good kid." I said. "Innocent," I said and she nodded smiling a tad. We left sam looked at us.

"He's half demon," I said and they looked at me. "I'll call Castiel," I said and I grabbed them and popped up in the motel sitting in the bed.

Castiel, there's a boy here, named Jesse, he's half human, Half Demon.

"You're lucky you found the boy." He said and I stood up huffing.

"Real lucky," I said and he nodded.

"What do we do with him."

"Kill him."

"Cas!" I yelled and he turned to me.

"He is Half human half demon. He's far more powerful than either. Other cultures call this hybrid Cambion or Katako, you know him as the antichrist." He said and I looked down. Cas sat in a chair and obnoxious farts erupted, we all froze looking at Cas and when it finished he huffed. "That wasn't me." He pulled a whoopie cushion from underneath him.

"Who put that there?" Dean asked holding back laughter.

"Wait so- Jesse is the Devil's son?" Sam asked and I rolled my eyes.

"No, he's not. Your Bible gets more wrong than it does right." He said. "The Antichrist isn't the devil's son, it's just a demon's spawn but it is one of the devil's greatest weapons in the war against heaven, just as Y/N is to heaven against hell." He said and I gawked.

"Wow." I huffed.

"If Jesse is a Demonic howitzer what's he doing in Nebraska?" Dean asked.

"Demons lost him but they are looking."

"They lost him how?" I asked.

"His power hides him from both demons and angels for now."

"Well he's got a demonic force field around him, problem solved!" Dean said.

"With Lucifer risen this child has grown strong. Soon he will do more than just make a few toys come to life. Something that will draw the demons to him, the demons will find this child. Lucifer will twist him to his word, and with one word, this child destroys the host of heaven."

"He's gonna nuke the angels?" I asked.

"We cannot let that happen," Cas said.

"We're the good guys! We don't kill children." Sam said and Cas stood looking at him.

"A year ago you would have done whatever it takes to win this war," Cas said.

"Things change," Sam said turning around.

"We aren't killing Jesse, but we can't leave him here either, we know that. All this kid needs is the right influence. We can take him to Bobby's -"

"You'll kidnap him?" He asked me and I nodded.

"Yup!"

"What is going on in this town is what happens when this child is happy. Besides now would you hold him? With a thought, he could be halfway around the world."

"He's half demon, well I'm half angel, I'll do what it takes not to kill this poor child. I know what it's like to have demons on my ass." I said. "I'll even tell him the truth, what he is, what's going on! He might make the right choice. Like I did." I said and he stared at me.

"Sam didn't." He said and Sam stared at him. "I can't take that chance." He was suddenly gone.

"No!" I yelled and I followed him to Jess's home.

"I'm sorry-" I heard Cas as I ran in.

"Castiel stop!" I yelled as his hand went in the air to kill Jesse and then he was gone. But he wasn't gone, he was an... Action figure on the ground? "Jesse, are you alright?" I asked running to him and he nodded at me, that was when my brothers burst in. "Come sit Jesse." I grabbed... Castiel the action figure and Jesse sat down as I looked at him.

"Was he your friend?" He asked and I looked at him.

"Yeah, he is," I said. "But I would never do what he tried to do. Know that Jesse." I said and he nodded at me.

"I did that!" He said and I nodded. "How did I do that?"

"You're a superhero!" Dean said and I looked at him confused. Sam and I shared a look. Dean just started to lie through his teeth.

"Dean can I talk to you in the" I froze. "She's here," I said and Dean went flying into the wall. Then, She tried to do it but it didn't work, and she sighed.

"They're lying to you, Jesse." She said and I went to move but I couldn't.

"I can't hurt you Sam, orders. And you two, hurting you two is encouraged."

"Y/N-"

"I can't move!" I growled and they looked at me. She started throwing Dean around, and he grunted, she stopped when Jesse yelled.

"Leave him alone!"

"Jesse-" She huffed. "You're gorgeous. You have your father's eyes." She said.

"Who are you?" Jesse asked.

"I'm your mother." The demon said.

"No, you're not!"

"I am. You're half human, half one of us." She stretched her arms out.,

"She means demons, Jesse!" Dean yelled, the demon then held her hand up and my brothers started groaning.

"Those people you call your parents, they lied to you." She said. "You're not theirs, not really."

"My mom and dad love me."

"Do they? Is that why they leave you alone all day? Because they love you so much? These people, these imposters, told you the tooth fairy was real, that your toys could hurt you, and 100 other things that aren't true. They love you so much that they made your whole life a lie. Look into your heart, Jesse. You've always known they aren't your parents, that you're not theirs, and everyone has lied to you! They aren't real FBI agents. You aren't a superhero."

"What am I?"

"Powerful." She said and I was trying to think of what to say. "You can have anything you want, do anything you want."

"Don't listen to her, Jesse!"

"They treated you like a child! They lied to you, everyone lied to you! Doesn't that make you angry!?" I saw Jesse clench his hand and the house began to shake.

"See it does make you angry."

"I didn't!" I growled and they looked at me. "We did lie, but I didn't treat you like a child." She suddenly punched me in the face and I buckled to the ground. "I'll tell you the -" she kicked my jaw.

"Stop it!" Jesse said and she froze. "I want to hear what she says."

"We lied to you." I wiped my nose of blood. "I'm sorry we did. Here's the truth." I said and he nodded. "My name is Y/N Winchester, these are my brothers, Sam, and Dean. We hunt monsters." I said.

"Except when you are the monsters? Right Y/N? Sam?"

"That woman you're looking at is your mother Julia. But the thing inside her, the one talking to you, isn't. It's a demon." I said and he gasped.

"A demon??"

"They have done nothing but lie to you! You shouldn't listen, you should punish them-"

"Sit down and shut up!" He yelled at her and a chair flew to her forcing her to sit, and she couldn't speak.

"Jesse, you are Half human just like she says, and Half demon," I said and he looked scared. "But I'm half human too." I finally took a step, and moved to him, sitting him down. "I'm half human, half angel, so I know how you're feeling," I said and he looked down.

"So are you good and I'm... Bad?"

"No," I said. "See right now, there's a war between Demons and Angels. And we're both in the middle of it."

"But I'm a kid! You're not."

"It's a bit unfair, I know but... If you go with her, we can't stop you, no one can, but if you do millions of people will die. You may be half-demon Jesse, but you're half-human too. You have choices, just like I did. Demons came for me too and tried to take me, just like you... But that man there..." I pointed at the action figure. "He protected me. And now I'm protecting you. You can choose, you have choices, but the wrong ones will haunt you for the rest of your life." I said.

"Why are you telling me this?" He asked.

"Because I believe in you," I said and he nodded, looking at his mom.

"Get out of her." He said and she shot back, smoke leaving her mouth and leaving the home. He went to check on his Biological mother and looked at me.

"Will she be okay?"

"Soon, yeah," I said picking up Cas. "Jesse, I wasn't lying to you when I said this was my friend. Can you turn him back maybe?"

"He tried killing me!"

"Yeah, you're right, I know people get scared and they do regretful stuff. He was scared." I said sitting down and holding him.

"I'm gonna talk to Sam and Dean okay?" He asked and I nodded, I stared down at Castiel, and I touched his plastic hands. I was sad he didn't listen to me, at all. I put him down next to me and covered my face suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Jesse left," Castiel said and I nodded.

"I know. I felt it." I sighed.

"I'm sorry." He said and I didn't look his way. "I should have listened... You were right." He sighed and I looked down.

Chapter 17: Trickster.

Chapter Text

When I walked into the room I saw Dean watching Dr. Sexy MD. "Dr. Sexy?" I asked and he looked at me.

"How do you know Dr. Sexy?" He asked and I chuckled.

"What else is there to watch?" I asked. "I'm a girl Dean, this stuff... fascinates me." I loved watching his face contort to confusion. "Anyway we gotta go," I said and he nodded, Sam walked out as Dean turned the TV off and we winked at each other following Sam out.

"Mind telling me why the FBI is here exactly?" The officer asked and I hummed.

"Maybe it has to do with a local getting his head ripped off.?" I asked

"Bill Randolf was killed in a bear attack."

"How sure are you that it was a bear?" Sam asked.

"What else would it be?"

"Well, whatever it was it chased Mr. Randolf through the woods... Smashed through his front door, followed him up the stairs in his bedroom." Dean said.

"Doesn't sound quite bear-like to me..." I hummed.

"Depends on how pissed it is... Yeah. Look the Randolfs live way up in the country. You got trout that'll make a grown man weep and bears."

"The report said Mrs. Randolf saw everything? she said it was a bear?" I asked and he looked at me.

"Kathy Randolf went through a lot of trauma, she's confused."

"What did she say?" I asked. When she came down for questioning, I decided to go at it alone, with the boys behind me, I thought it would be easier for her to talk to me.

"It must have been a bear." She said.

"But what did you see? what do you think it is?" I asked and she looked hesitant.

"No-No I remember clearly now, it was a bear." She stuttered and I smiled softly.

"We're sure it was, but it helps us to hear every angle, especially with what you saw..."

"Well... it's impossible but I could have sworn I saw... The Incredible Hulk..."

"Like the big green guy?" I asked and she nodded.

"I told you it was crazy!" She looked down.

"Banner or Norton?" Dean suddenly asked and I giggled.

"No those movies were terrible, the TV show Hulk..."

"Lou Ferrigno?"

"Yes." She nodded.

"Spikey-haired Lou Ferrigno?"

"Yes." She stated again.

When I got home I went to my room, and there I sat on the bed, suddenly feeling hands on my shoulders, I smiled leaning back and looking up to see him, Cas smiled and I giggled. He pecked my lips and I turned to kiss him, his hands on my face and we laid back, me on his chest and him holding my waist, suddenly I was hearing Y/N! Get here Now! from Dean. "Mmm Dean's calling, so I gotta go," I whispered as he nodded.

"Don't be long..." He whispered and I nodded, with that, he was gone, I was leaving, and I popped up in a hospital.

"Dean?" I called and that's when I turned to see them, in doctor's scrubs. I looked down seeing- I was in nurse scrubs. "Why am I dressed this way?" I asked and they huffed.

"We're in Dr. Sexy," Dean said and I looked at him confused.

"Come again?" I asked and he pointed and I saw Dr. Piccallo. "We're in Doctor Sexy," I said and he nodded, suddenly I smacked his chest and he looked, there he was, Dr. Sexy himself, I moved between my brothers, and he walked up and even Dean looked nervous. I chuckled and looked at him.

"Doctor." Dr. Sexy said.

"Doctor," Dean answered.

"Doctor." Dr sexy said to Sam. who stood there but Dean patted him, he then gave in.

"Doctor," Sam responded.

"Nurse." He then looked at me and I hummed.

"Doctor," I said and he looked at Dean again, that was the longest interaction I'd ever had.

"You wanna give me one good reason you defied my direct order to do the experimental face transplant on Mrs. Beale?" He asked Dean and Dean looked surprised, he looked red and nervous, I swear sometimes he was so fruity.

"O-One reason?"

"Mhm."

"Well..." He looked down and slowly started patting me, I followed his gaze, Dr sexy wasn't wearing his signature cowboy boots. Dean suddenly pounced, grabbing him and slamming him into the wall.

"Woah!" I giggled.

"You're not Dr. Sexy."

"You're Crazy."

"Really? Because I swore part of what made Dr. Sexy, sexy... is the fact that he wears cowboy boots and not tennis shoes."

"He says he's not a fan," Sam said to me and I chuckled.

"Guilty pleasure!" Dean snapped at us and I giggled.

"Call security!" Dr sexy yelled.

"See, we know what you are," I said and everything froze as I said that and I looked around. Dr. Sexy suddenly turned into Loki, the trickster.

"Get us out of here."

"Or what? I don't see no wooden stakes." He said pushing Dean off him with ease, obviously hurting Dean, I popped up next to Loki he looked at me, seeing me looking at him confused.

"That was you on the police scanner, right? And this is all a trick," Sam said and I stared longer, it was as if his real face was blurry, and I could see the fake face, I was so confused.

"Uh, Helloo! Trickster, Come on. I heard you two yahoos were in town, including the lovely sister of yours and how could I resist, I mean-" He turned to me and we were close, I tensed and he smirked stepping toward me. "You like everything? it's homemade."

"Loki, we need your help," I said and he huffed.

"Let me guess... You three want my help because you broke the world, and want me to fix it."

"Please Loki, we just want to talk it out," I said and he scoffed leaning down and getting close to my face.

"Play the game, and then we can talk."

"What game?"

"My game." He opened his arms at the surroundings. he then was gone and I huffed turning to Dean.

"What now?" I asked and we started walking the halls. suddenly Dr. Piccalo popped up and tried slapping Sam but he dodged.

"Woman, what the hell?"

"You are a brilliant, brilliant-"

"Coward. you already said that. but I have news for you, I am not a doctor."

She looked flabbergasted. "No! Don't say that!" She said. "You are the finest Cerebrovascular neurosurgeon I've ever met!" She said emotionally. "And I have met plenty. So that girl died on your table! it wasn't your fault! It wasn't anyone's fault, sometimes people just die." She said and I looked at Dean holding my laughter.

"I have no idea what you're saying to me." Sam huffed.

"You're afraid. You're afraid to operate again, and you're afraid of love." She said storming past him sobbing, I laughed aloud and started to walk when I heard a gunshot and jumped, turning and seeing Dean falling to his knees.

"It's real! It's real!"

"No! No! We need a doctor!!" Sam yelled.

"You are a doctor!" I yelled and he looked at me. In the operating room, Sam took the liberty and used what we knew, I was the nurse helping him and we got the bullet out and he was sewed up fine, I smiled at Sam. We suddenly were in another room, I was standing next to Dean as he and Sam were on podiums, their feet strapped down so they couldn't move, a man burst in speaking Japanese and I looked around and saw women dressed in sexy devil costumes. I was so confused and suddenly Dean yelled at me.

"What are you wearing!?" I looked down seeing myself in one of those matching costumes, but mine was an angel, I did a spin as I tried to see the wings, and I was shocked.

"What the hell?!" I looked at them and Sam covered his mouth trying to hold back laughter while Dean just laughed at me. I growled.

"Let's play, Nutcracker!" The man yelled pulling me to him and I followed confused. I saw that the boys had stepped down for a reason.

"You laugh at me but it looks to me like you're gonna get it in the balls!" I yelled and they looked at me and looked down at it too.

The man asked a question in Japanese, and Sam panicked. "Uh, I don't know Japanese!" He tried to negotiate with the man but he didn't listen. He asked again. "Are you screwing with me- I don't know Japanese!" He yelled and I rubbed my head. I felt cold. the man then yelled Ruby, that was the answer, I looked at Sam worried.

"I am sorry Sam Winchester..." He said.

"Sorry, Sorry for what?" He asked and suddenly that bar with a ball at the end swung up and it hit him in the balls. Dean and I jumped and hissed watching it happen.

"Sam?" I whispered and he looked at me pitch red, I hissed. suddenly we heard banging on the door behind us, and it opened to Cas.

"Cas!" I yelled and jumped into his arms. he looked at me.

"Y/N! What are you guys doing here?" He asked.

"Us? What are you doing here?" Dean asked and he looked down at me, and what I saw wearing.

"What are you wearing?" He asked and looked down at my body.

"Oi perv! I asked a question!" Dean yelled and he looked at Dean.

"I've been looking for you, you've been missing for days!" Cas said and I grabbed his attention.

"Get us out of here then, Every time I try to leave i'm zapped back!!" I said and he went to touch my forehead but he vanished and I huffed.

"No-No-No! Mr. Trickster doesn't like pretty boy's angels!" He said and I rolled my eyes. He then turned to ask a question to Dean, who started panicking.

"What do I do?!"

"Play your role!" I yelled and he looked at me. "In the hospital, Sam played a doctor, you're playing a contestant, play one! just answer the question!" I yelled and he slammed on the button at the last few numbers of the count down. Dean answered in Japanese and I watched hopefully.

"Dean Winchester! Nutcracker Champion!"

"Dean you did it!" I yelled and he laughed,

"How did I do that!" He laughed and I shrugged.

"So that's it, we play our roles, we survive!" Sam yelled.

"For how long though!?" Dean asked.

"Good question," I asked and suddenly we changed again, and I was sitting on a bench with the boys playing basketball behind me, It was like he didn't want me to do anything else but be eye candy, I was so confused

When the Place changed again, I was sitting at a motel table and Sam was escorting out a woman. after a brief conversation, Cas burst in again, I stood and he looked at me, he was bleeding, I was next to him in a second. "What happened are you okay?"

"I got out. I'm fine." He huffed. "Listen to me, somethings not right, this thing is much more powerful than it's supposed to be." He said and I looked at him.

"It doesn't have a normal face either, he won't let me see his real face," I said and he looked at me.

"The trickster."

"If it is-" He flew across the room, I gasped and popped up next to him and Loki burst in, I looked at him as the crowd applauded, I helped Cas up and he looked at Loki as if he was familiar, I looked at him and he looked at me. Duck tape was put over his mouth and he looked at Loki.

Y/N He's-

"Hi, Castiel, Bye Castiel." And he was sent away immediately before I could hear him.

"You knew him?" I asked and Dean asked.

"Where did you send him?"

"Relax! He'll live. Maybe..." I popped up in front of him and he grabbed me as I tried pouncing on him. "Don't worry princess, your boyfriend will be fine. just maybe damaged." He said tossing me into Dean.

"All right, you know what? I'm done with the monkey dance, Okay? We get it."

"Get what?" He asked.

"The game, This!, Play our roles!"

"What's the other half?" He asked and Dean looked confused. "Play your roles. But out there." He waved his hands.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Sam, starring as Lucifer, Dean starring as Micheal and Y/N, staring as the rebuilder of paradise." He said and I looked at him confused. "The celebrity deathmatch, play your roles."

"You want us to say yes to those suns of bitches?" Sam scoffed.

"Hells, Yeah. Let's light this candle!" He laughed.

"We do that the world ends," I said and he looked at me, pulling me to him, and turning me to face my brothers.

"Yeah, and whose fault is that, princess?" He waved at my brothers. "Who popped Luci out of the box? it has started, they started it, and now it can't be stopped!" He held my waist and I squirmed trying to break free from him. "Let's get it over with!"

"Let go of me!" I couldn't fight he was so much stronger, which was so abnormal... "You are playing a confusing game! What side are you anyway?!" I growled finally breaking free, though he just let go.

"I don't bet for either." He said.

"Yeah right," I said.

"You're grabbing ankle for Lucifer or Micheal. Which one is it?" Dean asked pulling me to him.

"You listen to me you arrogant dick." Dean pushed me behind him as Loki walked his way. "I don't work for either of those SOBs, believe me."

"No- You're somebodies bitch."

"Dean-" At that moment Loki grabbed him and slammed him into the door.

"Don't you ever assume to know what I am? Here's the thing. You're gonna suck it up and play the roles that destiny has made for you."

"If we don't?" I asked.

"You stay here in TV land. 300 channels of never-ending shows." He smiled and suddenly a flash happened right in my eyes. I hissed and looked around I was in a pencil skirt.

"For the love of god if I end up in another pencil skirt!" I stomped and Dean and Sam looked at me. we wore matching clothes, professional clothing and sunglasses at night.

"So what do you think?" A guy asked coming up to me.

"I think you should go fu-"

"Excuse us for a minute." Sam pulled me away and I huffed. "You need to calm down."

"Calm down?" Dean asked. "We are wearing sunglasses at night, you know who does that?"

"No-talent douchebags," I said.

"I hate this game!" Dean yelled and I pulled the skirt down. "I hate that we're in a procedural cop show, wanna know why?" He asked.

"You hate procedural cop shows," I asked and he looked at me.

"Exactly." He said. "There's like 300 of them and they're all the same."

"I like Chicago PD though..." I mumbled. "But at least they don't wear this shit, why- This is so unpractical." I groaned.

"Hey-"

"What?" Dean and I growled.

"Look at sweet tooth over there." He said and we looked.

"You think it's him?" I asked.

"Could be, we just have to play our role," Sam said and I nodded. we slipped our glasses on, walked over, and started to make those cheesy jokes they make on the shows. when we got the guy, well it wasn't the guy, Sam ganked him and we went on our merry way, except everything felt weird. while in my room, I couldn't hear cas, nor would he answer my calls. Dean ended up coming and getting me and on our way to find Sam, he ended up being in the Car. On the drive, we started talking.

"I don't think hes a trickster," I said.

"Yeah, he got so mad when Dean brought up Micheal and Lucifer, and you heard Cas, he said it's too powerful..."

"He got really upset."

"Oh my," I said. and Dean looked at me. "I think I know what he is, and it makes so much sense," I said. we made it to the field where Dean called out to him, and when he showed we trapped him in holy fire. after that, we find out he was Gabriel after he dropped the illusion. He was the archangel, I had known that was why his face looked so weird. he was hiding his true form. the moment he brought Cas back I jumped into his arms. I reached up and touched his nose, he hissed, it was broken and because of his lack of power, he wasn't gonna heal properly so I held it gently and healed it for him. I left with Cas the moment it was over, looking Gabriel in the eyes, It was uncomfortable. I sat in my room thinking how he looked at me and called me a rebuilder, what was that supposed to mean, I didn't know.

"Y/N," Castiel whispered as his voice ran shivers down my spine, I looked at him.

"Castiel," I whispered, he sat next to me, his hand coming and meeting my cheek, my eyes looking into his. "I am..."

"Worried." He stated. "Is that what this is?" He asked and I nodded simply. He leaned to me, and I looked at him, a smile faint on my lips, and I leaned in as well our lips meeting, his lips moved against mine but I pulled away.

"Cas?" I touched his face gently with my fingertips.

"Yes?" He whispered.

"Gabe... He called me a... Rebuilder of paradise." I said and he looked down at my eyes and sighed.

"That's because... God intended you to be that. Your brothers were to be decimated in the battle... And you would rebuild paradise for those who were affected..." He said and I looked down.

"I have that kind of power inside me?" I asked and he nodded.

"Yes. It's deep in there... I would have to presume that it would unveil itself in the sorrow of losing both your brothers. At least that's how god intended it." He said and I looked down.

"Why would he put me through that kind of pain?" I whispered and he looked at me surprised. That instead of focusing on my power or paradise... I went to the pain. "Losing my dad? Never having a mom... Losing the boys who raised me, my brothers?" I shook my head. "That's a curse."
