Chapter Text
The vast world of the Lands Between hold many mysteries and inhumane origins. Queen Marika the Eternal, once a common Numen villager from the distant Lands of Shadow became the reigning divine sovereign of the Lands Between; and vessel of the Elden Ring. Not much people knew about the origins of their new Queen and how she came to be a god, but she made it so that nobody would ever find out; save for the chosen few that she deemed worthy of trusting.
With the power and title being bestowed upon her from the Greater Will, she could finally shape the world as she seemed fit. But she knew she couldn't rule forever, so she decided to enact such an act that would even surprise the Greater Will themselves, and that is to take away the very concept of death itself. To create a world free of Destined Death and achieve immortality. By doing so, she took away its very rune and tasked her loyal Shadowbound Beast and half-brother, Maliketh to protect it.
Once the plans were enacted, only then would the establishment the Golden Order finally form, in hopes of creating a future that could brighten up her dark past.
In the duration of her reign, Marika took in a consort named Godfrey; formerly known as Hoarah Loux. Before granted such title, Godfrey was a ferocious warrior, one who thrives off of war and battles. Because of his unrelenting thirst for battle, the Queen saw this opportunity and decided to leverage his skills by turning him into her first consort to the throne, turning him to become the first Elden Lord in her Golden Order.
Before it came to be an embodiment of the Order, almost everyone was in opposition to the Erdtree. This age would then begin amidst conflict, and Godfrey was regarded as the Lord of the Battlefield
The two would eventually bear three children and one of the first demigods to come to the Lands Between. Their eldest, Godwyn the Golden, was the most cherished and loved demigod of the lands between; making him a scion of the Golden Lineage. The other two, however, were cursed upon birth by a disease known as Omen.; a curse-born, ogre-like being banished from grace. Marika, upon seeing this outcome, banished the two down the sewers of their capital city of Leyndell despite the pleas of her Lord Consort. Sent away to forever be forgotten. Godfrey never understood his wife and her hatred against Omens, and it seemeth he would never find out.
However near the end, he lost that sense of thrill and excitement for combat and eventually lose the sight of grace itself. It wasn't long until Queen Marika had-
"Hey, I think they're asleep now..." A voice disrupted behind the storyteller as he turned around, looking away from the book that he was reading.
The man turned towards the three sleeping children by the soft cotton beds before him, only noticing that they have succumbed to sleep long ago.
Perhaps he was so invested to the story that he wasn't aware of the sudden outcome.
"Does thou think narrating her Majesty's entire life would be wise? What if one of them suddenly risked their lives on a journey trying to find the truth only to get imprisoned due to a story their dear uncle read to them as a bed time story?" The voice whispered behind him before silently standing up from his chair and making his way towards the door where that same person stood by.
The person was none other than his dear sibling and older sister Stella, one of which he was tasked to look after not after putting his three rousy nephews and niece to bed.
He slowly brought the two of themselves out the room before gently shutting the door behind them in hopes of not disturbing the three sleeping beasts.
"Calm thyself sister, it was the only book I can find that would be boring enough to put your lovely children to sleep." Her brother assured before giving out a small mischevious smirk.
"Just be glad I was able to ease their energetic selves to sleep, just wish I could say the same to a certain someone I know here..." He added to tease her not before receiving a playful smack from his sister.
"Shut your trap already, I was told from our neighbors that there was some people looking for you. Haven't got the clue as to who it was though..." Stella informed as they both walked towards the living room.
Her brother let out a quick sigh as he scanned around his sister's place. Their house was a simple wooden shack located just a few ways out the lands of Limgrave. It is definetly no royal guestroom, but it is a cozy home regardless. She had called her brother over to stay over her place since her husband was a scholar at the Academy of Raya Lucaria. Not that she gave her brother a choice since his niece and nephews would practically bawl their eyes out the whole duration of their lifetimes if he declined to do so.
"It might be them..." He assumed as he went to grab his boots and coat on.
Stella merely gave a nod in return before crossing her arms in slight distress.
"You don't think, they're gonna do anything bad to you... Would they?"
Her brother didn't say a word in return, and instead equipped his things before standing up and giving his sister a comforting hug.
"I think the Greater Will has stacked the odds against me this time..." Her brother stated out of nowhere before his sister could say anything in return.
"Give my apologies to the kids, for not keeping my word to them. As to you..." He muttered before parting ways and heading towards the door.
Knowing what was about to happen, she held in her tears as best she could before letting out some final words.
"Whatever happens-" Stella spoke out causing him to stop in his tracks.
"-or whatever thine has done in the past... Just know that we all love you. So whatever happens, you go make this world a gentler place. For us all..."
Listening to her words, the blue eyed man looked down on the ground as if he was thinking real hard on it, but alas only a few seconds passed by. With nothing else to say, he simply gave her a quick nod of acknowledgement before grabbing his trusty weapon hidden and wrapped by a black cloth to keep it inconspicuous.
Once he had finally set foot outside their home, he was instantly met with the eyes of over twenty soldiers, some sat atop their steeds and others standing beside each other with a couple of banners representing the city of none other than Leyndell. The Royal Capital of the Lands Between and home to Queen Marika the Eternal.
There were even two Tree Sentinals standing guard on each end, making sure that nothing gets out of hand.
It wasn't long until a soldier approached him with a parcel in hand, asking a question he dreaded of being revealed.
"Art thou the warrior of his former lord majesty Godfrey, and once Bulwark Knight of the Lands Between, Sir Marius?"
It appears the cats out of the bag now, and his past has now made its way back to the present. The man now known as Marius, was one of the many Tarnished warriors who served Lord Godfrey long ago before he was entitled the First Elden Lord.
During their reign, Queen Marika and Lord Godfrey had formed together a small band of elite warrior protectors who would be tasked to defend regions across all the Lands Between. Despite them being few in numbers, their unparalled strength and devotion makes them stand out compared to all the other elite knights and warriors across the Lands Between. They were blessed from Queen Marika herself, taught from the wisdom of Lunar Princess Ranni, and indirectly trained by one of the most feared warriors of them all...
Malenia, Blade of Miquella.
Albeit they weren't taught from her directly, instead they were trained by the Cleanrot Knights; handpicked by Malenia herself to be warriors and servants to both her and her beloved brother Miquella. To be trained and taught under her rule is a privilage itself.
The Bulwark Knights were each tasked and trained to fight foes and enemies alike that would pose a threat to the Demigods or the Greaterwill themselves. Keeping them safe from vicious enemies like the Gloam Eyed Queen and her Godskin Apostles, the ever mighty Dragons, and Tarnished traitors that oppose the Greater Will.
In rare occasions, the Queen would task the mightiest of them all to watch over her children Demigods, if one has the honor of doing so. However, not one was worthy of such a task.
Despite their skills to fight, there is no more important task than to defend and protect the very citizens that serve the throne. Bulwark Knights are the very walls that protect the people from harm, and to see to it that they all make it out in one piece.
Each Knight were specialized in a wide variety of weapons and shields, while others dedicated themselves to master one weapon alone. The most common weapon used aside from shields, were the twinblades. One of the hardest blades to master.
Not only is it a swift and agile weapon, but rumours say that with just the right amount of training, they can twirl the blade as fast as the eye can see; being able to nullify all magical and physical attacks if done correctly. Foolish ideas really.
The Queen decided that having mere armies to fight for them weren't enough, despite the Demigods' strengths and their respective warriors, Queen Marika still had doubts running inside her head; worried about what the future might inevitably bring.
From protecting themselves from the end itself such as the Three Fingers and Frenzied Flame, the task of seeing the Rune of Death properly attended to, the uprising of the Dragons, discovering the mysteries of the Outer Gods, and the unknown enemies that lay beyond the very stars. The threats of these possibilties knows no bounds.
Thus comes to the conclusion of forming another defensive measure, and that is the Bulwark Knights. Unfortunately not many are left nowadays.
With most of them being either dead, deserted, captured, or lost in action due to the danger they have to put themselves in. No surprise really after seeing the amount of wars and battles that have unfolded throughout the centuries, and creating a Bulwark Knight is a task that would eventually be deem impossible to create due to the little willing volunteers and the dangers the role asks for.
Eventually, after the banishment of Godfrey, the group was eventually disbanded; with the remaining few being either dead or in hiding due to the targets they have on their backs. Queen Marika had ordered the search for the remaining Bulwarks so that she may find use for them elsewhere, or simply have them killed if not. The news have spread like wildfire at the time, causing the remaining few to flee the Lands Between to save their own skin, or to hide from their captors.
The reason to this was because nearly all of the former Bulwarks have lost their sight of grace the moment the Queen banished Lord Godfrey and his warriors. The ones who did have did not last for long for they would eventually fade as well. Marius was no exception to this outcome. Despite him losing sight of grace, he had never once 'died' in all his battles. He was one of the few whom had received the attention of the Demigods and Gods themselves, thus making his capture and discovery a bigger surprise to reveal.
Which was why Marius was worried to see his location discovered, from the Leyndell Knights no less.
Did someone tell them about his location? And what were they doing in Limgrave of all places?
Deciding that lying wouldn't do him any good considering his family behind him, he didn't want to cause them any harm. Eventually Marius revealed himself to the soldiers ahead of him.
"...Yes."
With that simple answer out in the wind, the soldier reached towards his bag before bringing out a letter.
"By the decree of Queen Marika, thou are accused of abandoning thy place and duty as a Bulwark Knight, and are hereby being detained and transported towards the Capital of Leyndell. Thou shall then be sent as a candidate for a future endeavour that shall be later discovered once we hast reached the city." The Knight revealed before placing it back in his parcel.
"That is all. What say thee?" He asked with a hand positioned above his scabbard.
Marius closed his eyes before slowly reaching behind his back to his weapon, which was still covered in its case.
The Knights all readied themselves for a potential fight before noticing him slowly putting his weapon down.
Marius then brought his hands out before placing them in front of him for the Knights to detain.
"Uncle!"
A child's voice screamed behind him before noticing it was his niece, the youngest of Stella's children.
The Knights all turn their gazes towards the child behind Marius with their hands rested on top of their weapons.
Stella swiftly ran out to grab her before she could run towards their dear uncle.
"Luna! Stay back!" Marius warned as the Knights slowly approached them.
Just as a Knight was about to intercept, he was stopped by the officer whom announced the message earlier.
"Halt soldier, we are only here for him." He ordered before the soldier as he quickly obeyed and stayed his post.
"Uncle Marius please don't leave us!" Luna begged as she was held back by Stella whom was holding back her tears as she watched her brother get taken away from them.
She knew it wouldn't be long until they would eventually find her brother, after trying to hide themselves from Queen Marika and her armies for so long, it was bound to happen. Because none can escape her grasp so long as they are living under her rule.
But she knew her brother could take care of himself. He is her children's caretaker after all...
Marius gave his niece a comforting smile despite getting detained from behind.
"You follow your mother all right?" He let out some last words trying to hold his emotions in.
"Don't forget to remind your brothers get to bed on time, and to not skip out on your studies. T-They're very important..."
Marius reminded her with small tears slowly forming under his hardened eyes.
"If you don't... It will make me very sad, so can you do that for me?" He choked in his emotions before being abruptly brought up by the sodliers behind him.
The Knight noticed the current situation before bringing a hand up to signal his soldiers to stop their rough actions.
Luna eventually broke free of her mother's grasp before running towards her uncle, engulfing him in a emotional hug. His niece bawling her eyes out, not knowing exactly why he was being taken away from them.
"P-Please don't go! I need you! Don't leave me!" The little girl bawled out, trapping him in her small yet loving embrace.
Marius broke off the restraints behind him without any problem before wrapping his own arms around her, now crying himself.
The two other children were seen hugging their mother behind them, also crying to the scenario before them.
Marius lets go their hold on one another before placing both his hands on her small face, making her focus on his blue eyes.
"More importantly, never forget... The love that I hold for you, your mother, and brothers, will never leave you. All right?"
Luna motioned a small nod, ignoring all the tears now fallin down her face.
"So long as you remember that, I will always be with you..." Marius muttured before giving her one last hug and sending her off to his sister.
He gives them one last look before wiping his tears away and turning towards the Knights waiting for him.
"You stay alive, you hear me!?" Stella exclaimed with a sob in her voice, holding her children tight whom were also breaking down in tears.
Her brother let out a small chuckle before giving her a small smile.
"Of course, I still have to finish that story of ours to them!" He replied back before being dragged away from them.
Stella let out a small laugh, smiling at the fact that he still hasn't changed.
As the guards finally brought him away, the Knight from earlier turned towards the crying family before giving them a small bow of respect. A gesture to apologise for how things turned out.
Stella and Luna merely ignored his act and simply held one another as they watched their uncle be sent away. The two brothers however, all stared at the knight with determined eyes and anger. The Knight was taken aback from the responses before following along their caravan.
Marius was then placed alone inside the dark carriage, with the soldiers all following along outside the caravan.
He slowly brought himself up before trying to peak through the hole by the walls, trying to see his family one last time; but to no avail.
He collapsed in defeat before clutching onto his head in distress.
I'll come back to you guys...
I promise.
---
As the Sun slowly peeres over the glorious Lands Between, the caravan eventually made its way towards Leyndell, the Royal Capital City. Where Marius would eventually meet his fate before being sent as a prisoner to the Queen and her Royal family.
He peered out the small holes inside the caravan, seeing them pass by the huge mountains of gates as they enter towards the capital. All soldiers and Sentinals alike all watched as the caravan passed by the very gates.
A Bulwark Knight has finally been found and captured, after centuries passed. Marius had mixed feelings regarding the Golden Order. Ever since his Lord Godfrey had been banished alongisde his many other Tarnished brethrens, he was opposed to Queen Marika and her ways of handling the order of her lands.
She was too blunt.
Too distinguished.
Too unpredictable.
If anything, he had somewhat of an idea as to why they had decided to bring him back instead of outright killing him then and there.
She had plans for him.
Or at least someone does.
The Knights from earlier had mentioned Marius being a candidate for something. But one thing is for sure, he is not going to ever serve that bitc-
"On your feet prisoner!"
The loud clanks coming out from the caravan reached into his ears before eventually opening the hatches beside him. The bright lights blinded his eyes as he could see a whole crowd forming outside the caravan, all wanting to see one of the remaining few Bulwark Knights in the flesh.
Appearance wise, the Bulwark Knights are no different from your ordinary soldiers. They vary from genders, heights, size, weight, and appearances.
Only but one rule stands to serve before Queen Marika.
No Omens.
That is one of the definite rules that she abides by. The question as to why does she hate them so much? Not one of them there knew.
Marius slowly exited his prison before looking around and seeing where he was. The Royal Capital. One of the many places he despised staying in ever since.
There was just this uneasy feeling that made him go uneasy. Knowing that the Omens were trapped beneath the very grounds they stand on, not helping with the fact that the Queen and her family currently reside just by the Erdtree.
Ah yes, the Erdtree.
There it stood in all its rightful form, shining its fully bright yellow rays beside his field of view ever to glow.
One he wished would soon turn red in the far future.
"Keep moving!" The Knights shoved him forwards before heading towards one of the stairs leading up towards the council by the Erdtree.
"Where are we going?" Marius asked as he was no longer wearing restraints but instead being escorted by the elite soldiers of the Golden Order. The civilians and soldiers alike all turn towards the commotion as the Knights escorted the former soldier.
There were even people throwing trash and food at the man, disgusted by his betrayal and undevouted loyalty to the Order and their Queen. The soldiers tried to hold the commotion as they passed through center of the city, only to be graced by a rare event. The crowd surrounding them eventually became too much to handle and a few passed the security. They scratched, punched, kicked, and cursed at the traitor as he crouched over protecting himself.
He protected all these people, risked his life for them and this is how they treat him back?
Before the Knights would resort to violence, and even bigger surprise appeared to the scene.
Graced by the appearance of a Demigod.
His hulking and massive figure loomed over Marius and everyone around him, causing all of them to kneel out of instinct and respect.
His long flowing red hair flew across the wind and his golden eyes stared at the black haired man beneath him, surprised but not intimidated by the slightest.
"General Radahn..."
Marius called out as he stared back at his golden eyes with profound strength and acknowledgement.
Marius had mixed feelings when it came to the Queen and her Demigods. From his history with Demigods, they all had their ups and downs. In terms of standing, he'd say that Godwyn is his most trusted ally and friend, but he could hardly say what he thinks of the former Bulwark Knight.
Since he served Lord Godfrey at the time, it is no surprise that he would have to serve his descendants with the equal amount- if not upmost respect.
Unfortunately he never fully met his other two brothers, Morgott and Mohg for they were banished to the underground long ago, never to be seen again. Because of it, he was only able to fully converse with one of his three children, which was Godwyn. It was no lie when others spoke of him as the kindest and gentler Demigod out of all the others.
He was always true to his words and have respected others who deserved it regardless of friend or foe. He was the one he always looked up to.
Marius fought alongside him during the dragon siege on the capital, and he was definitely a force not to be reckoned with.
The same could be said with the one in front of him. The towering Demigod, with his armour inspired by his former Lord.
General Radahn was one of his idols when he trained to become a Bulwark Knight. Times during his trainings with the Cleanrot Knights, he could spot glimpses of the giant Demigod passing by; riding atop his trusty steed Leonard.
He was told he specifically learned gravity magic, all so he could ride his favorite horse. And if Marius was being honest, he found that to be admiring.
Despite his strength and status as a Demigod, he still had wants and desires. And that was to be with his favorite horse. While others laughed, he smiled. Smiled knowing that despite being a Demigod, he still has his mother's loving care.
Radahn's younger sister, Lunar Princess Ranni; was a mischevious sort of last he remembered. She was always distant to the rest of her siblings, but not towards him. Whenver she would venture out throughout the city or castles, she would always bring him along just for the sake of good company.
Marius was honored to be trusted as such in her eyes. He was one of the few people Ranni had the closest ties with whenever she was visiting over in Leyndell. For the reasons, however, he did not know much as to why.
Quickly bringing his thoughts back to reality, Radahn let out a small yet heavy scoff at the person beneath him before doing something nobody would ever expect.
He spoke.
"Stand, strong warrior."
Everyone including Marius himself was shocked to even hear the mighty Demigod speak. Others thought he was just incapable of speech, others thought he would only speak to those worthy.
Maybe this was one of them.
Marius didn't waste another minute before picking himself up with the guards still faced down on their knees, not given permission to do anything unless their General commanded to.
"Anyone who continues to violate the peace here, shall suffer the same fate you have inflicted upon this man." Radahn announced with his giant and heavy voice as he eyed the audience around him, lowering his once crossed arms.
"Now. Leave."
Not even a second after, all the civilian ran off from the area with some bowing their heads apologetically to the Demigod before getting dragged away from the others. The soldiers were then able to stand before fixing themselves to escort the prisoner. Before any of them could give their thanks, Radahn jumped himself out of the city and managing to land directly to where the council of the Demigods, King and Queen would await his arrival.
Now that he placed more thought into it, he was scared beyond imaginable. Not once was he scared during his many battles in his past, nor in the face of death. But the mystery as to why he was being summoned here, to the very Queen and the gods no less.
But there was one- no... Two Demigods that he would fear from.
---
"So this... is the infamous warrior of Godfrey, and a former Bulwark Knight it seemeth..."
The godly voice rang out to his ears as he could not believe what he was looking at.
There they all were in the flesh, the Demigods of the Lands Between. The Erdtree still beaming its shining rays of light behind them as if he was looking at the Greater Will themselves; basking the Demigods with all its glory.
The one whom graced him with their voice was none other than Rykard. One whom he was not overly close with.
Marius doesn't even know what to do or react since he was kneeling down right at the center for all the Demigods to see; all sat in their respective chairs.
The Queen however was nowhere to be seen; nor the Elden Lord.
But to say Marius wasn't frightened right now would be a big fat lie. It's not that he has never seen any of the Demigods eye to eye, hell he even conversed with some of them before. But never has he been brought to his knees and granted audience by all the Demigods and soon the Queen and King themselves.
He couldn't do anything but kneel as the eyes of nearly all the Demigods looked down on him.
Marius turned his gaze starting from the right, trying to see who was there.
Lunar Princess Ranni.
There she sat in all her glory. Her long red hair gently breezing through the wind with her sharp golden eyes piercing through the soul of Marius as if he just murdered one of her pets. She wore a simple robed dress, inspired by the uniform of the Raya Lucaria Academy with the red and blue hues imbedded to her collars and robes. He wasn't sure why she was acting like that. But nonetheless, he was kind of glad she was still here safe and sound. She was one of the very few Demigods he could normally speak with. They were like partners together. But now, with the way she was scowling at him he doesn't know what to think anymore.
Praetor Rykard.
First born of Radagon and Queen Rennala of the Full Moon. Rykard and his siblings were later raised to demigods by their new step-mother, Marika, ever since he heard that Radagon had left the Queen of Lucaria to become Elden Lord. He never saw the red-headed Demigod as much; the same goes for the Queen of Raya Lucaria despite his brother in law taking his studies there. Maybe they just couldn't care less about some elite knight when they got other problems to take care of at the time. And Marius couldn't blame them. Marika and Radagon has some fucked up family issues and unfortunately Renalla was dragged upon their mess. Like his other two siblings, he had red facial and hair features inherited from their father. His hands resting atop each other by his legs as he stared at Marius seemingly with no interest whatsover. His rich appearance with a crown and robes shows that he was a man of knowledge, and a man to be feared upon. Not many knew, but Rykard is a ruthless justiciar who commanded a company of inquisitors that hunted those who oppose the Erdtree and the Golden Order.
General Radahn.
The mighty General sat on his bigger sized chair compared to the rest, arms crossed as he sat there with a stoic face; Marius still somewhat shocked from his earlier speech of words. He called him strong, and that was not something Marius has heard from somone before; even more so coming from the mighty Lion himself. From a young age, he was inspired by his step-father and Marius' previous lord and former Elden Lord Godfrey. To the extent that he would engrave his armour with Lions inspired from his step-father's ideals and design. He would later then be entitled Starscourge for he is the one holding the very stars themselves, and considered to be the strongest Demigod of the Lands Between.
Godwyn the Golden.
The Scion of the Golden Lineage sat on his chair, cross-legged as he stared at the blue eyed man before him. The Demigod couldn't help but smile at his sudden appearance, relieved that Marius was still alive and not taken down like some sheep in a slaughter. The two were well aquainted in the past, enough that they could be considered as comrades in battle. With Godwyn's good willed nature and Marius' admiration to the man, they were still both on good terms to say the least.
And then there they were...
The Twin Prodigies, Miquella and Malenia.
Two of the five known Empyreans in the Lands Between. One being Queen Marika herself, the once Gloam-eyed Queen whom was struck down by Marika's half-brother Maliketh; the keeper of Destined Death. He knew not much about those two, but perhaps it is for the best it stays that way. Aside from the twins, the last known Empyrean is surprisingly Ranni. When Marius heard news about this before his sudden disappearance, he knew she must've had deep thoughts and mixed feelings regarding the sudden title bestowed upon her.
And that just made him feel even more guilty towards himself, because that was the moment he left her. So yeah, now he knows why Ranni is giving him interesting looks. Still it-
"Is there something the matter, Bulwark Marius..."
The younger sibling Malenia spoke out, making Marius shutter from just hearing the mere voice of the Blade of Miquella.
Malenia saw the way he was looking at them, the gaze of fear and helplesness as he knelt beneath them.
She was hesitant about his capabilities as a worthy candidate. Until she turned to her older brother Miquella. The ever youthful twin of hers; staring in awe at the man. His golden eyes and child like features gazing at him as if the Knight before him was the answer to something he was searching for his whole life.
Marius, however, tried his best to speak up without sounding impolite.
"My deepest apologies, Lady Malenia, I stared impolitely and should have known mine place..."
He knew what she was capable of, knew that it was her ways of the blade that gave him the skills he has now. He had never once seen the two twins during his time serving the Golden Order. It was these two twins that he had heard so much about. The two Empyrean prodigies.
Aside from that, he knew not much about them other than their curses and skills. Malenia embedded with Scarlet Rot, a disease that eats away the very life from the inside and unmatched skills with the blade; and Miquella cursed with ever lasting youth. Searching ever for answers while sustaining his chidish body and mentality.
He was informed from Godwyn decades ago, about how Empyreans would have their own Shadows to serve them; sent from the Two Finger's as guidance. But, Marius didn't recall hearing ones from either of the twins. He heard that Ranni's shadow was a half wolf named Blaidd, approved by her mother, Queen Renalla as her stepbrother.
Queen Marika's with Maliketh...
But what of Malenia and Miquella? Perhaps this explains his unexpected worry and fear towards the two, the mysteries that hold towards the two potential gods. Malenia suddenly noticed the odd silence coming from her older yet child brother beside her, shifting her gaze towards him.
"What is it, Miquella?"
Malenia asked as she looked beside her other twin sitting beside her. The Empyrean ignored what was going on as he continued to stare towards the kneeling Knight, still bewilidered to his potential strength and possibilities. Everyone was looking at him like Miquella was planning or seeing something none of them could see.
Their voices started to fade away as Marius continued to receive an uneasy gaze from the Empyrean Demigod in front of him. All but two words exited Miquella's mouth as he sat closer towards him.
"He's perfect."
