Chapter 1: Day 1: Vacation/Memory Loss

Chapter Text

The General did not relax . Nor should he. He had an important job to do, the First Order had a war to win. His intelligence and his experience were constantly needed on the Finalizer . In fact, he rarely got more than 5 hours of sleep a cycle, he was so busy attending issues. As he should. The higher you rose, the harder you worked - that was the philosophy he followed. He disliked the men who were his rank or higher who fattened themselves up with delicacies and sat in their plush chairs all day, going to pleasure houses by night.

But yes - the General refused to take any shore leave at all. The only time he had ever left his ship was for the missions that Snoke sent him on-planet for. But now Snoke is dead, and Kylo Ren is the Supreme Leader. And he had accumulated LOTS of shore leave. It would be a shame if Ren started off his leadership and the one general he had thrown around, the one general he refused to listen to, suddenly disappeared for two months of official leave built up across twenty years of working.

So, feeling vindictive and petty and most of all hurt by Kylo’s treatment of him, Hux left. He packed his bags and took one of the shuttles that brought Lieutenants and troopers alike to a planet that had a positive relationship with the Order. From there, if you disguised yourself, you could go anywhere in the galaxy you liked - except the New Republic, of course, but that was gone now.

Hux adjusted the cloak over his head. Best not let the lieutenants realize they were sharing a transport with him. As the ship traveled to the nearby planet, Hux mentally giggled at the mountain of paperwork that Ren was likely receiving by now. Hux did lots of unseen work, and since he wasn’t there to take care of it it went directly to the Supreme Leader - which was another reason why he didn’t leave when Snoke was in charge.

The ship lands, and dust kicks up as the lower echelon woop and giggle at their few cycles of relaxation. Most of them will stay on-planet, joining their friends at the natural hot springs on the surface, and then head back when their leave is over with higher spirits. Some in the higher echelon worry that yearly leave could inspire people to flee the Order, but Hux has found in his research that more people stay if they’re offered a few days off a year.

For himself, he was going to ENJOY these two months. He had a planetary catalog available, and he knew exactly where he wanted to go.

Naboo. A beautiful planet, described as the prettiest place in the galaxy. Wrought with war by first the Galactic Trade Federation in the Old Republic then pirates in the New. Had broken a peace with the Order for a percentage of their natural resources.

Hux paid with the credits he had brought for passage aboard a freighter that would take him to a closer planet, where he could find a ship to take him to Naboo. While he waited and the freighter took off and rolled along through space, he gently read the entry again.

Relaxation. Rejuvenation. Historically beautiful sights and culture. Come to Naboo!

A simple advertisement, but it had caught his eye years ago. He knew Ren’s history, knew who he really was underneath that mask. Knew that his family had come from here. Perhaps that had also been a part of it - he wanted to see where Ren’s doomed family line had begun. And Naboo was beautiful, and the last place Ren would think to look.

He completely expected Ren to chase after him. He wouldn’t be Ren if he didn’t.

Arriving on Naboo took nearly a day of traveling across hyperspace. Eventually, though, Hux got there. There was a giant, luxurious castle on a hill, complete with a giant lake next to it. Hux wasn’t staying there - he had booked a hotel in the town - but still, it was interesting to look at the castle and imagine, in an alternate universe, Ren running through it, causing chaos as a young Jedi. Well, he supposed it was for the better that that had never happened.

He checked into the gorgeous hotel, one that promised anonymity. When he removed his cloak, no one looked twice. Good then - this place was worth the money after all. A woman in a thin, white, knee length dress with some sort of flower in her complicated hair-do showed him to his room.

His credits had bought him a nice room, with a luxurious flower-shaped bed piled with expensive silks and threads with a mattress soft enough that Hux could melt into it, access to the ocean through the nice patio that had its own gate and plush chairs, but also its own deep bathtub - clam shaped - that Hux couldn’t wait to get in. The woman left him with some clothes ( on the house for such a generous customer ) and Hux quickly shed his uniform and slipped into the soft garments that had been provided for him.

It was time to get a massage.

The gentle bells chimed as he entered, and Hux already loved that sound more than the horrible dinging of his datapad every 2 minutes. The green-skinned alien at the front desk directs him to a back room, where he sheds his clothes and puts on a beautiful, skin-sheer robe, one that has little lotuses stitched in gold into it. He makes a mental note to tip extra credits - this is already more than he ever imagined.

As he slips into the soft massage chair, his bare back exposed, he lets himself take a deep breath. Finally, inner peace.

Rough, big hands massage the tense muscles in Hux’s upper back and he hums, shifting into it.

“Enjoying yourself, General?” the deep voice asks.

Hux immediately tenses. That voice is achingly, terrifyingly familiar.

“Come on now. Join me on the beach. I have something to discuss with you.”

The hands were gone, and Hux sat up with his heart beating faster than a sprinting fathier even as the confused masseuse asked him what had happened.

Hux put his clothes back on, keeping the robe and putting a generous tip on the massage counter. How dare Ren! First he snuck up on him, interrupting his well earned time off. And he dared to put his hands on him!

Hux stormed out to the oceanfront, shoes abandoned in favor of getting there as quickly as possible. He caught an eye of black hair, and fumed as he rushed towards it.

“REN, HOW DARE YOU-”

He stopped short, upon realizing one crucial detail. He hadn’t turned around to look at Ren in the massage parlor, nor had he seen what he was wearing.

Ren was shirtless, his wide chest calling to Hux like a siren song. His legs were on full display, and his arms were tanned and toned under the sun.

Hux swallowed around nothing, suddenly feeling very parched.

“General. There you are.”

“W-What in god’s name were you thinking, Ren, following me here? I am taking my vacation, as is my right.”

“As you should. I realized, upon seeing the terrible amounts of paperwork you left me, just how hard you’ve been working all this time with no recognition at all. You do it without the slightest complaint. And… perhaps I should have taken this into account after our previous Leader passed. I was reckless. And violent. And wrong.”

“Welcome to the present, Ren, I’m glad you’ve caught up.”

“I’m also sorry,” Ren said, taking one of Hux’s hands in his own, “that I didn’t see you sooner. That I treated you so terribly, and broke our friendship. Please… can we start over? Pretend we have memory loss, and begin again? You were the only one who never feared me, and I - I miss you.”

If there was a blush on Hux’s cheeks, it was the fault of the sun’s rays. Nothing more.

“Well. I suppose… if I had memory loss… it would not be terrible to try and make a friend. That is, if you promise to never use the force against me again.”

“Never,” Ren promised.

“Forgotten, then. But not forgiven quite yet. Perhaps starting anew is the best for us, and will lead me towards forgiving you for hurting me.”

“And will lead to me forgiving you for pulling your blaster on me.”

“I don’t deny it,” Hux said.

Ren chuckled, and Hux pretended that the ache in his chest was a sudden allergy to the sound.

Hux stuck out his hand to shake. Ren returned it, one eyebrow raised.

“Hello. My name is Armitage Hux. It is nice to meet you, stranger.”

“So formal,” Ren chuckled again, eyes sparkling.

“Do not insult a man you’ve just met,” Hux reminded him. Ren got serious again.

“Hello Hux. My name is Kylo Ren, and I am the grandson of Padme Amidala, thus giving me access to the castle. Would you like to join me?”

Hux felt his eyes drift towards the castle again. What beauty, what history laid inside? Ren had to know that he was aching to see it.

“Alright, just this once. I’m deciding to trust you, stranger. You better not take advantage of it.”

“I won’t forget that.”

Chapter 2: Day 2: Millicent/Secret Relationship

Summary:

Hux and Kylo get changed. The love story of Padme Amidala and Anakin Skywalker leaves Hux with an important question.

Also, Millicent's here.

Chapter Text

The boat ride over to the castle was absolutely magical. The water was a beautiful cerulean blue, and the boat wasn’t rocked at all by the calm waves. Ren was so large that his shoulders were nearly wider than the width of the boat, and Hux had to hold back a laugh at how he compacted himself to make room.

They were trying to start over. He might as well not make fun of men until he truly messes this temporary truce up.

The boat slows as they near the dock, and Ren looks up at him, those puppy-like brown eyes staring without end.

“What, Ren? Do I have something on my face?”

“No. I was just remembering the story of my grandparents.”

Hux was interested in the famed “true love” between Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala, and felt an interest spark.

“Tell me more when we get inside the castle,” Hux said, “and maybe after you put some clothes on.”

Ren was still in only his swim trunks, and it was bothering Hux to no end.

The boatman let them off, wishing them a good day and pleasant stay.

“Stay? What did he mean, Ren?”

“...Don’t get mad. They might have offered me a room here, being the grandson of their favorite queen.”

“Well. I hope you’ll enjoy your stay in the castle, Ren. It seems lovely.”

“You can join me, Hux. It’s allowed.”

Hux just nodded, hoping that this strange condition his heart appeared to be having wasn’t fatal. There were several people around the castle, and as soon as they saw Ren they hurried over, asking him where he had been, why he had disappeared with no notice. These must be the palace workers, Hux realized, and they were all wearing uniforms that seemed to mark them as such. Then they noticed Hux and their eyes widened.

Hux realized how this looked - here was Kylo Ren in nothing but his swimming trunks, together with another man in a silk robe and soft clothing. It looked like they had just come from a room together. Before Hux could correct the misunderstanding, the workers were exchanging knowing glances with each other and hurriedly escorting Ren and Hux inside to get changed.

They were brought into separate rooms, and though Ren appeared confused about this Hux knew exactly why - the workers thought that they would get “distracted” if they were both changing. Several of them asked Hux for his consent to remove his garments, and then after he gave it covered his skin in a soft lotion that they said would help his fair skin against the sun.

While they tried to figure out what fabric best fit his tone, Hux noticed one of the younger ones looking up at him and blushing, clearly thinking about what they had seen outside.

“I just wish to clarify… Re-” Hux stopped himself, realizing Ren must have given the Amidala name to get this treatment. Though it felt strange referring to the Supreme Leader with his first name, needs must. “Kylo and I are not in a romantic relationship. We are merely friends, and ran into each other when I was at the massage parlor and he had come from the beach.”

The young worker had the gall to look disappointed, but didn’t glance at him with embarrassment again.

They had Hux put a small mask over his face while being dressed, so he had closed his eyes. When he felt the mask lift, he finally opened him, and the shock hit him immediately.

He had always been told he had a feminine figure for a man, but this was the first time he had ever worn a dress. The floor length garment was a deep midnight blue, with soft shocks of emerald green between the sleeves and in the neckline. Silver stars embedded in the fabric glittered under the sunlight. The fabric was light and breezy, and the bottom of the skirt had a slit so that he could walk better. Thankfully, the dress was clearly not made for someone with a large bust, as it did not have a low neckline. But the centerpiece - a small black corset built into the dress somehow - accentuated his waist very nicely.

To Hux’s surprise, they had even put a dark blue flower in his orange hair, which made it stand out even more.

“You’re beautiful,” the young worker said, eyes glittering with admiration.

Hux dismissed the comment with a sharp turn of his head. Although, even in flats, (heels are a lot, even for a man who’s been wearing high boots all his life) he felt he had grown ten feel taller with the confidence this outfit gave him.

He left the room, and his jaw immediately slackened. Kylo was wearing a black and red ensemble, cutting a very handsome figure in the hallway, from the top of his braided hair down to his shiny black shoes.

Kylo looked over and his eyes visibly widened, scanning up and down as they properly took Hux in. He opened his mouth as if to say something, and Hux mentally prepared for the vicious insults that were sure to follow.

Before anyone could say anything, they were interrupted by a very familiar meow.

“Millicent?” Hux questioned, running towards the noise. He would know that incessant meow anywhere.

Around the corner, right by where Ren was, Millicent was trotting down the hallway like a proper princess. Her fur had been neatly groomed, and she had a lovely little blue bow around her orange neck.

Hux went to pick her up, but one of the workers quickly threw an all-black shawl over him. To stop the fur from getting on the nice dress, they explained. After that, Hux picked up his pretty girl, smiling as she purred in his grasp.

“How did you get here, my darling? I very much remember leaving Mitaka to babysit you,” Hux chided.

Millicent just meowed in her own defense, the very picture of innocence.

“I… may have brought her here. I was going to bring her to you, if you had not accepted my offer. I know that she brings you comfort, and the palace, unlike your hotel, is pet friendly.”

“But the ship here wasn’t, how did you get her here from the Finalizer?”

“...”

“Just tell me, Ren. I promise I won't be mad.”

“I brought her in my TIE fighter. She liked curling up on my cowl.”

Huh. Millicent HATED flying with a passion, and she had clawed her way out of Hux’s own transportation ship many times. But she endured it for Kylo Ren.

Interesting.

“Thank you for bringing her, Ren. I’m glad for her company.”

Ren smiled and nodded his head in acknowledgement. Hux smiled back, albeit for only a moment. But Ren noticed.

“You were saying earlier? About your grandparents?”

Ren perked up, motioning for Hux to follow him. They walked through an old, marble-filled hallway with sculptures and paintings along the walls. Beautiful floor to ceiling windows lit up the space, and Hux marveled at the gloriousness.

Ren stopped to motion to something, and Hux paused as well. It was a painting of a young woman with curled brown hair, dressed in a long floor-length gown similar to Hux’s. Hers was tan and yellow instead of blue, though, and on her head was a veil instead of a flower. Next to her was a young man with a scar over his eye, a small braid dangling from his hair over his shoulder. He was dressed in simple brown robes, and was holding the woman’s hand and looking at her with love in his eyes.

“This is my grandfather and grandmother. They had this painted when they got married. My grandfather, before he was Vader, was a Jedi padawan. They were not allowed to have attachments, as a rule, so he and my grandmother had a secret relationship. Their marriage was only known to the closest of confidants - his two droids and her handmaiden. Not even his Jedi master, and closest friend - the man whose name was my own, back in another life - knew about it.”

Hux looked over at Ren’s face, and noticed the reverence in his eyes. He longed to have something like that, Hux realized, a love so powerful that you abandoned everything else for it.

“Do you think you’ll marry her?”

“What?” Ren asked, turning to him with confusion clear in his eyes.

“Rey.”

“Why would I want to marry her? She is our enemy,” Ren said, eyebrows furrowed. “I thought we were forgetting the past, Hux. Why are you bringing this up?”

“It’s just,” Hux tried to explain, fingers stroking over Millicent to calm himself, “I found a copy of the tape from that day right before I left. There was audio. You proposed to her that night, even though I doubt she realized it. So, do you want to marry her?”

Ren looked pained, as though Hux had struck him right in the heart. Hux suddenly regretted bringing it up.

“...No. I don’t. That night I was out of my mind. Reeling from the death of my master, who had been controlling my mind since I was but a child. Reeling from the loss of what I thought was my only connection in the world, fabricated by the man I had come to think of as a father figure after the death of Han Solo. I acted out of desperation, wanting my only friend in the galaxy to stay. I should not have said any of that.”

Ren looks him in the eyes, his deep brown pupils seeming to stare right into Hux’s soul.

“I should not have hurt the one person who I actually cared for. I deeply apologize, and I understand if you can never forgive me. Just know that I will regret it for the rest of his life.”

Hux found himself speechless. Ren looked up at the painting one last time, then turned sharply and walked away.

After a few minutes alone, Hux realized Ren wasn’t coming back. He looked up into the eyes of Padme, Ren’s grandmother. He envied her. She got her fairytale love story, even if it didn’t have a happy ending. He then glanced at Anakin, whose eyes, he noticed, were that same puppy-dog brown.

“Are all you Skywalkers this dramatic?” he asked.

The painting did not answer.

Chapter 3: Day 3: Fear/Public Transit

Summary:

Ren runs away. Well, not really, but he does leave the castle. Also, Hux misunderstands why Ren is being so vague and cagey in the worst way possible.

Chapter Text

The palace was absolutely beautiful. Millicent eventually got tired of being held, and Hux put her in a fluffy cat bed that had been silently added to the room he supposed he was staying in, and then explored more of it on his own.

Every bit of it was archaic and decorated masterfully. It screamed wealth and prestige, but it also didn’t seem detached from the common people and the planet’s history.

Hux longed for someone to explain the paintings and the other statues he glanced at, but Ren had not come back since their conversation earlier.

He didn’t mean to upset him. He supposed he just ruined everything.

This is why you have no friends, Armitage, the voice of his father snidely says.

I know.

“Excuse me?”

Hux turns, and sees one of the workers shyly walking up to him. Ah - then he’s being kicked out. He figured Ren didn’t really mean he’d let him stay.

“Have you seen Mr. Amidala? He stormed off earlier and none of us know where he is.”

Oh. That was a problem. Ren may be thick headed and impulsive, but he was still the Supreme Leader. He couldn’t disappear whenever he wished.

“I’ll go looking for him. He can’t have gone far.”

Hux paced down the main hall frantically, wishing that his skirt gave his legs more room to walk. He felt a twinge of fear as he rushed toward the main door, a fear he hadn’t felt since his father stood at the spaceport while Arkanis burned and suffered around them, contemplating taking his only son with him.

A fear of being left behind.

The doors were flung open, likely by Kylo in a rage of some sort. Hux quickly shimmied down the stairs as best as he could in the long blue dress, the fabric definitely not made for exercise. This was why Padme Amidala always had some sort of pantsuit breathable fabric on hand, he supposed. It was far more practical to have a change of clothes in an event such as this - not that Hux, in his panic, would have considered changing out of the dress that seemed suddenly gaudy now that he was outside.

The boatman was leaning against the pier, eating some sort of vegetable that must grow natively here. He raised an eyebrow when he saw Hux approach, and moved to grab his oar.

“No, I am not leaving,” Hux said quickly, “I just need to know if someone else took your… transportation… and left this castle. Taller than me, wide as a beast, sullen, black hair, probably wielding a giant glowing red sword.”

“Nah, no one’s left yet. I did see a man of that description stomping towards the gardens, though. He might still be there.”

Hux thanked the man and started the grueling climb up the steps. A lesson learned for him in the matters of wearing fancy dresses when going outside. He took a moment at the top, exhaling a long breath, and then continued onwards.

The garden was easy to find, but it seemed the workers avoided it like the plague. Was it dead and decrepit? No matter, Hux didn’t care for flora. He followed the signs which led him to a garden filled with glorious flowers, quite like the ones that were in his hair.

In the center of the garden was a stone statue floating horizontally in a pool, with flowers placed all around it. The middle of the statue was rotund with obvious pregnancy.

Ren was standing over the statue, face yielding far too many emotions for Hux to tell how he was feeling.

“Supreme-”

“Hux. Please,” Ren said quietly, “not here.”

“Ren. I was… ehem, I was wondering where you had gone.”

“Am I not allowed to be on my own, Hux?”

“I felt I upset you, before. That was not my intention.”

Ren looked up at him for the first time. His long black hair was framed by the flowers around him, making him look nearly as prince-like as his namesake.

“You were right,” Ren said, “I was blinded. I thought I loved her. Like so many Jedi before, I thought my romance was something foretold by fate. I thought I would find someone like her.”

Padme Amidala’s statue floated in the pool, eyes forever closed. Hux disliked that she was remembered this way. Why not have a statue of her at her prime, as a queen and warrior? Why only as a mother?

He approached Ren, trying to say something in return. His tongue was caught in his throat. Maybe, he entertained, he was allergic to one of these flowers.

“I was wrong. I failed, just like the man who I was named after, to protect the person I truly loved. Do love,” Ren whispered. Hux, being so close, caught what he said.

This was news to him. Ren, loving someone? And someone in the Order?

“The person you love is… dead?” Hux ventured, seeing as Ren had said he wasn’t able to protect them.

“No. But I… I nearly killed them myself. They will spend the rest of their life hating me, which is somehow worse than knowing that we cannot be together romantically. At least before I - was kinder.”

Ah. Poor Mitaka. He could practically feel the man shaking already. Ren trying to kill him was old news, but Mitaka had said that he and Ren had had a somewhat cordial acquaintanceship before the droid incident. Ren falling in love with Mitaka was certainly a twist, but Hux supposed that dark haired and dark eyed short and mousy-looking people were Ren’s type.

“Well then… what do you plan to do about it? If that person hates you, as you say, will you pine forever or move on with your life? After all, if this whole trip was about getting away from that, I am on borrowed time. I have less than two months, so I suggest if you want me to do something about it then you do so quickly.”

Ren looked at Hux for a moment, seemingly dumbstruck. His brows were furrowed, and his hands were clenching and unclenching rapidly at his sides.

“You are the smartest man in the entire galaxy, Hux, I would dare say the smartest man in the history of the galaxy second only to Thrawn. But by the force sometimes you can be dense.”

With a wave of his hand, Ren walked away, shaking his head. Thankfully, he headed back into the palace, so Hux didn’t have to worry about him leaving.

But what did Ren mean?

Padme Amidala’s statue remained motionless on the water as Hux slowly walked away from it and back towards the castle, pondering.

Notes:

Sorry I was gone for a whole week haha. I got super busy with interviewing for a new internship, which I got so yay!! Anyway hopefully I can stay on track this time. Enjoy the slowburn!!

Chapter 4: Day 5: Roleplay/Ancient History

Summary:

Hux finally takes the several hints Ren has been full on slamming into his head, and decides to do something about it.

Or: a happy ending.

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Hux headed back inside the castle, trying to follow Ren. He didn’t understand. If Ren loved Mitaka, why not stay on the ship? Why follow Hux everywhere?

Why walk back into Hux’s life shirtless and invite him to his grandmother’s castle? Why had he looked so speechless when Hux had walked out in the dress?

Why did he keep telling him the love story, and say that he was in love with someone who would never love him back?

Why?

…Wait a moment.

Ren had hurt the person he loved. He had also hurt Hux, which is why he wanted to start over. Ren had gone to the trouble of bringing Millicent all the way here for him.

Ren had called him dumb.

But if Rey wasn’t the one Ren loved, then who else would he go across the galaxy for? The only person he had done this for so far was Hux, which-

Oh.

Oh.

Ren loved him.

Loves him.

How did he not see it? The man had been practically ogling him this whole time, riveting him with tales of love and bringing him things he liked - Millicent first and only among them.

And then Hux thought. Really thought.

He thought about the years spent with Ren, the rivalry that had slowly developed into a camaraderie and friendship, and even soft moments of mutual agreement.

He thought about the way Ren smiled at him, and how he and Ren saved each other time and time again with no strings attached.

For ten years they had fought together, worked together, been hurt by Snoke together. Ten years spent on the same shift, running the First Order together.

If that’s not love, what is?

…Hux supposed he did, in fact, love Ren.

What a discovery.

And the man thought he didn’t love him. Well, after ten years, Hux was going to tell him. And he was going to do it in a way he was sure Ren would appreciate.

Hux hurried back to the quarters which had been given to him, saying hello to a loafing Millicent before quickly asking a worker for some of the old history books about Anakin and Padme’s forbidden romance, and anything about Nabooian marriage.

The same worker who looked disappointed when Hux said he wasn’t in a romantic relationship suddenly perked up, and rushed out of the room, a mission in their mind.

After a few moments, the worker returned with two heavy tomes - one for each thing he had requested.

Hux opened the first one, stroking Millicent with one hand while he read. He had lots of research to do.

With everything in place, Hux asked one of the workers to go fetch Ren, and only tell him that Hux requested him urgently. For matters that were “politically confidential”. That was the key phrase Anakin and Padme used to communicate that they were to meet in secret. Hux hoped Ren would catch his meaning.

Hux was prepared. Flowers laid over the bed in proper Nabooian courting fashion. A keepsake from Ren - just as Padme had had one from Anakin - hanging around his neck. He couldn’t find anything better, so he just used a small part he had found on Ren’s TIE, one that could be put back.

And his outfit. He had perfectly detailed it to every last wrinkle. His hair was let down and without pomade, and his body was covered in a golden chiffon nightgown that left very little to the imagination, complete with stocking garters too.

He just hoped that he wasn’t completely wrong about this, else he’d never recover. He gently rose from the bed when he heard the door open, trying and no doubt failing to hide his blush.

Ren’s eyes were as wide as saucers, and they looked up and down his body multiple times. His mouth was open, but all that was coming out of it was, “I-you-huh-hmm-what”, which let Hux know the least that Ren liked what he was seeing.

“Come in,” he gently said, and Ren quickly did so, using the force to shut the door behind him.

“H-Hux. Hi. What, uhm, what’s all this? You look,,, hah. Um. Great.”

“Ren. Do you love me?”

“...What?” Ren said, casting his vision up at Hux’s eyes instead of at his pale legs.

“Do you love me?”

“Yes. Yes, I love you. Did you finally figure it out?”

“Yes. I did. And I figured something out about myself as well,” Hux said, gently stepping closer to Kylo.

“What did you figure out?” Kylo asked when they were nose to nose, his breath gently blowing Hux’s hair out of his face.

“I have terrible taste in men,” Hux said, and then he surged up and pressed those luscious lips onto his own.

Kylo’s hands immediately went to his ass, and they found their way to the bed, Hux hooking his long legs around Kylo’s hips.

“You into this ‘hidden lovers’ roleplay, huh?” Hux asked teasingly, when Ren had his lips against one of his legs.

“I’m just into you, Hux. And these garters, holy Sith Hells.”

Hux cackled, glad that Ren liked them so much.

“Let me just set expectations real quick. You’re not gonna be able to walk without help tomorrow, and I won’t take mercy on you the day after. Or the day after that. Or the day after that. Catch my drift? You’ve caused me a lot of frustration, Hux.”

“Mmm. Sounds good. I need to get plenty of bedrest anyway.”

“One last thing. Say you love me too. Please. I just wanna hear it.”

“Alright. I love you too.”

“Again.”

“Ren, come - oh, ah, yes!”

“Again.”

“I LOVE YOU TOO!”

“There it is.”

The next morning, Hux was covered in love bites, and his legs were so numb that he truly should not walk at all. Kylo, ever the breaker of promises, kissed where it was sore and swore up and down that he would be gentler the next time.

Hux just silenced him with a kiss. After all, they had two months to get the hang of this. He could allow for a few days of Kylo properly bedding him.

And for once in his life, he was grateful that he had taken his vacation leave.
