She is My Everything

Summary:

Ken hypes himself up in preparation to take his relationship with Barbie to the next level.

Work Text:

Barbie is perfect. Barbie is everything. I practically worship the ground that she walks on.

If Barbie is the sun, then I am the cosmic dust that floats around her in space, being drawn in by her gravity until I’m a part of her to her core.

I am not worthy because no one is worthy when placed next to a goddess like her. She is radiant perfection. Every strand of hair on her head should be worshipped. And I am here to worship them.

She is President and Astronaut and Ballerina and Painter and Cyclist. Barbie is them all and Barbie is good at being them all. And I am just Ken who is by her side.

Every morning, I wait on the beach for her to walk by at exactly 7:52AM. I don’t have a watch yet, but I know the look and feel of the sun at that time by heart.

I always wait on the side of the road with my surfboard and strike my best Ken pose. On most days, if I do my post right, she says hi to me. Yes!

That hi makes me the happiest man alive. It’s the highlight of my day and the highlight of my life, really, until tomorrow’s hi is even better and beats it for the number one spot.

I look into Barbie’s beautiful, always smiling face and I have only one thought: I love her.

I love her smile, her eyes, her hair, her voice. She is perfect to me (and everyone else too) and everything that I could ever need.

Nothing in the whole wide Barbieland could ever change that.

Barbie, I love you. I practice saying it in my head again. I’ve said it every single night to myself in the mirror for practice since I’ve ever existed. But tonight will be the night that I finally work up the courage to tell her.

Tonight will be special, I just know it. Maybe the start of Barbie and Ken instead of just Barbie…and Ken.

It could be the start of something magical and life changing and I am just so pumped about it I can’t even calm myself down with push-ups.

Barbie and Ken. Barbie and Ken. Barbie and Ken. I keep saying it to myself to get myself hyped up.

Getting back to my job of Beach, I look out over the sparkling sands and smile to myself. I have a really good feeling about this.
