Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice

Summary:

“If he asked you, would you?”

“As long as he tops? Absolutely at this point. I know he’d be good about it all. He’s actually quite caring and gentle.”

“Would you tell him before or after that you're a virgin?”

“Eh, probably only if it’s necessary. Like if I get nervous or he’s much bigger than I think and needs to be more careful.”

"And what about if he wanted something more than the arrangement, Min? What would you say then?" Felix knew where Seungmin's heart lay but he wanted it laid bare on the table.

"It's not going to come to that Felix. I'm just arm candy."

"But imagine, just for a moment. If he asked you, would you?"

"Absolutely."

Kim Seungmin is PHD student struggling to make ends meet, so what better place to look for financial stability then a Sugar Daddy? And what better person to fall in love with then your Sugar Daddy?

Notes:

If y'all saw my previous 2 oneshots get posted and their notes, my grandfather has finally died. At least he's not in pain anymore, right? Any who classes are starting up this week as well so I've gone through a spree of writing but it will probably cut down as I buckle down and focus on my grades. Gotta keep that financial aid or else I'll pull a Seungmin here.

Enjoy the read! I did my best to keep it happy in lieu of events.

Work Text:

Why did he allow Felix and Jisung to talk him into this? Why did he let them set up and run an account for him? And why did he actually agree to go on a date?

Because Seungmin was a broke graduate student trying to pursue a PHD while paying his own way through and he had become desperate is why. Of course he would finally cave after the other two spent literal weeks trying to convince him to set up a sugar baby account in lieu of adding more hours to his already packed schedule. Of course he would only accept the date because the sugar daddy actually seemed decent and not a creep, by Seungmin’s standards. He wasn’t too old, 39 to Seungmin’s 24. Plus his profile clearly stated that he was only looking for company both on individual dates and to public events. The sugar baby had to be okay with potential news articles about them though. That was the biggest deterrent for most candidates it seemed. Good thing Seungmin no longer had any shame when it came to his financial situation. It was this or become a stripper, honestly, and being a piece of arm candy to some rich man wasn’t the worst way to earn money. Plus Seungmin was known to have two left feet.

Though staring up at the hotel that the restaurant was in, was making Seungmin second guess this whole endeavor.  When he showed Felix the location the sugar daddy had picked, immediately his outfit choices were pulled into question. Which meant Seungmin found the suit from his father’s funeral and sent a photo of it to the sugar daddy to make sure it was okay. It wasn’t. He was sent a new location for a very high end boutique that had Felix begging to be allowed to “chaperone” him to it. The sugar daddy had set up an appointment for him there and whatever the stylists picked would be paid for automatically by him for Seungmin to keep. He felt like he was in a completely different world then the one he was used to.

Which now meant Seungmin was wearing something that probably cost a semester’s worth of tuition at least. He also was clearly dressed for what suited him but would be to his sugar daddy’s tastes. He was wearing an oversized white cardigan that was not quite a crop top, but shorter than normal. It had red flowers along the bottom of it. The top button undone but the rest were done up, per a request by the stylist. It sat over top of slightly baggy tan slacks and no undershirt. Everything had been tailored to his exact measurements. His shoes had been polished to shine. Even his socks were a perfect fit, not something Seungmin had ever thought about. He didn’t even want to consider the cost of his jewelry. His sugar daddy seemed quite happy to learn his ears were pierced which lead to Seungmin wearing red diamond earrings to match the flowers on his shirt.

Seungmin finally convinced himself to enter the building and the grandness of the hotel lobby was not lost on him. It was a place that Seungmin doubted he would ever see inside of before and probably not ever again once this arrangement is over.

“Kim Seungmin?” A voice off to his side called out to him.

Seungmin turned towards the voice and was face to face with, honestly, a very handsome man. His hair was slightly curly and ginger. His eyes reminded Seungmin of a fox. He was wearing a simple, but probably pricey, loose button up, tucked into tan slacks. The top 3 buttons were undone, letting Seungmin see his collarbone and the start of his chest.

“Yang Jeongin?”

The man nodded in response. “You look even more ravishing in person, I must confess. I’ll have to thank the stylist for their work on you.” Jeongin held out his arm for Seungmin to hold onto as he led them up to the restaurant, “I’ve already ordered wine for us. Don’t feel pressured to drink if that’s not your thing. Tonight is about us getting to know each other and if we will be compatible.”

Seungmin simply nodded and followed. He was getting a bad case of imposter syndrome as they walked to their table. It ended up being a slightly secluded one in the back corner by a window overlooking the city. Jeongin pulled out the chair for Seungmin before sitting on his own.

“I ordered a Cabernet since this place specializes in steaks. You're not a vegetarian, correct?” Jeongin waved his hand as he spoke and a server appeared next to them to pour their drinks. “Alcohol is okay, right?”

“Uh, yeah. I’m good to drink some.” Seungmin stuttered out, amazed at the server pouring the wine, "And no I'm not a vegetarian."

“And what were you thinking for dinner Sirs?” The waiter asked.

Jeongin looked expectantly towards Seungmin.

Seungmin blinked a few times trying to even process what the options may be. He never saw a menu. “I’ll just… I trust you to decide for me.” He looked back at Jeongin, hoping that was the correct answer. This was as much as a test as it was a date. He knew he was not the one in control here.

Jeongin smiled and ordered for both of them, seemingly pleased with Seungmin’s choice. The waiter took the orders and disappeared as seamlessly as he had shown up.

“So tell me about yourself Seungmin. Your profile said you’re in college? Elaborate.”

“Well, I- I’m working towards a PHD in philosophy with a focus on feminism in philosophy or lack thereof for quite some time. Especially in the more western world. I find it quite fun, grueling at points, but a good brain exercise.” Seungmin knew his face lit up at the topic of his schooling. He originally was doing business like his father had wanted but found a love for ethics that he chose to pursue instead.

Jeongin’s eyes seemed to assess Seungmin as he talked, “So you’re pretty and smart. A real treat.” Seungmin found his face heating up at the compliment, “How did you find yourself here though? Be honest.”

“I’m paying my way through college and unfortunately it is not cheap. As an undergraduate I had been working full time as well as school and it about killed me mentally. I really enjoy learning and I wasn’t able to pursue anything as in depth as I wanted because I always had a shift to get to. I’m trying part time now at the campus library but it’s just not cutting it if I want to afford school and eat.”

“That’s understandable. At least the money would be going to something worthwhile. I’d like my companion to be more than just a bumbling himbo.” Jeongin took a slow sip of his wine, hsi eyes never leaving Seungmin's face.

Their dinner arrived in between the pauses of their conversation. Or more so the first course arrived.

“What about you Jeongin…sir?” Seungmin paused, not sure what to call the older man who was his senior in more ways than one.

“Jeongin is fine. I’m here because I need a companion. I’m quite busy which has not left much time to pursue a relationship, which is where you come into play. I need someone to talk to that isn’t just business partners. Plus you would accompany me to events and help keep unsuitable suitors at bay. You will be featured in gossip articles. If that is an issue then we can cut this arrangement here.”

“That won’t be an issue.”

“Your family won’t question you being with an older man?” He quirked an eyebrow towards Seungmin.

“If they’re questioning me, I think they’ll care much more about the man part than the older part. But then again they’ve already made their opinion on that fact of me very clear.”

Jeongin sat back in his chair, his hand swishing his glass of wine in contemplation before speaking up, “You’re paying your way through college. Did they disown you?”

Seungmin let out a snort, “Disown is a kind word. Once my father passed, my mother and grandparents made it very clear. I either marry a girl they picked out for me or I would better be off disappearing from their life than- …I chose to disappear.” He cut himself off. This wasn’t his therapy session, this was a date with a sugar daddy.

“Disappearing is never a bad option if it’s the safe one.” Jeongin said before taking a few bites of his course, “And as I had stated in the profile, this arrangement won’t require any sexual favors. For payment we can use the service provided so it can all be tracked and properly filed for taxes. Any sort of gifts, such as your clothes, you can keep, no strings attached. Depending on the social event, both in press coverage and length, the payment will vary, probably between $1000-$2000 per event. These types of dates that are one on one we can keep at $500 a piece. We will meet weekly, usually the one on one date, but if there is an event that week we will skip the one on one.”

Seungmin simply nodded. He must have passed the test. Plus the payments he was being offered were outstanding. 500 a week minimum? It was most definitely not a job quitting payment but it would help him eat better. Maybe he could actually get Felix and Jisung birthday gifts this year. It was going to help him sleep better at night.

“You should send me your class schedule and work schedule as well so none of the dates can conflict. And I’d like to be kept up to date on your studies. Think of it as an incentive of sorts.”

“Of course. I’ve an excel sheet of my classes and assignments. I can add a section for my shifts as well. Would you like that emailed to you?” Seungmin had finished most of the first course while Jeongin talked. The waiter came around and switched them out for the next course. Seungmin also, finally, drank some of his wine.

“God, a nerd. Yes I’d love that.” He pursed his lips in thought, “I think I’ll have the stylist play up that idea in your outfits. The cute chic look is nice but I think I’d love to see you in glasses and- what do you think about skirts?”

“Skirts?” He blinked in confusion but the blush on his cheeks gave away his initial reaction, “I’ve never really thought about them. One of my friends really likes to wear them. He says they’re very comfy.”

“If I had the stylists pick out some skirts would you wear them?”

“I wouldn’t have any issue with that. As long as I can wear some sort of shorts under them so I’m not one breeze away from flashing the neighborhood.”

Jeongin smiled, “Good because I think you’d look great as a sexy nerd. A nice pleated skirt and an oversized jumper with a button up under it. Maybe some knee highs.”

Seungmin’s face flushed at the idea. He knew there was no sexual aspect of this expected of him but it would make sense that Jeongin would want him to look good. Both for the press and probably for his own thoughts when he’s alone. If he was lonely enough to take on Seungmin then he probably wasn’t going out and getting laid every night. Not that Seungmin was complaining, he liked looking good and being desired.

They spent the rest of the dinner idly chatting. Though it was more of Seungmin talking about himself than Jeongin talking. During the main dish he had spent the entire time it took Jeongin to eat talking about the lack of representation of women in philosophy in Ancient Greek times and how they were seen as incapable of rational thought. It only took Jeongin telling him to shut up and eat to notice that his plate was still full. Though Jeongin never seemed upset at how much Seungmin talked. Seungmin would even argue that Jeongin enjoyed listening to him talking.

Soon enough Jeongin was walking him out to a cab, paying for the ride, and sending him off. Seungmin was a little tipsy at this point as well. Though he didn’t miss the notification on his phone of a payment of $500 being sent to his account.

*********

It was the following Friday now. They had decided that that would be the regular date night and yet Seungmin never received a location by the time he was done with his part-time job. He had met earlier (and now had a standing appointment every week) with the stylists and was sent home with a fairly relaxed outfit.

Seungmin sent a quick message to Jeongin about it, just in case he missed the text with the location. Very quickly he got a response.

Yang Jeongin

You are correct, I didn’t send one.   [16:32]

This week at work has been very draining and just would rather not deal with many people tonight.   [16:32]

Kim Seungmin

That’s okay.   [16:34]

I can use the time to work on a research paper.   [16:34]

Yang Jeongin

I don’t want to cheat you out of a payment. Would you be interested in coming to my apartment tonight? You can work through your assignment. Talk to me about it.   [16:39]

You can say no if that is not something you are comfortable with.   [16:40]

Kim Seungmin

Can I share the location of your apartment with my friend while I am there?   [16:46]

Yang Jeongin

Absolutely if that is what makes you comfortable.   [16:48]

[Address Attached]   [16:50]

Wear something comfortable that you would wear for normal study time. Don’t worry about dressing up for this.   [16:51]

Seungmin opened up the address given in his maps and found it smack dab in the center of the luxury apartments. He really needed to look up who Yang Jeongin is at some point but part of him liked not knowing. He switched to a different message strain to send some texts.

Minnie Mo

*********

Seungmin was finding him yet again in another world that he never would fit in outside of this arrangement. Maybe his basketball shorts and sweater were the wrong call. He looked so out of place in the apartment building and was getting stares from the rest of the people in the lobby. He had to check in at a desk and they paged Jeongin to confirm his identity and to come take him up to his apartment. Which ended up being the penthouse at the top of the building.

“Wow…” Seungmin let slip without much thought as he set his messenger bag on the dining room table but his eyes were locked on the view. If he thought the view from the hotel was beautiful, this was breathtaking. He could see the river cutting through the city. Tall buildings adorned with lights decorated the skyline.

“Pretty.” Jeongin’s voice came behind him as he walked over to the window.

“It is. It really is. Look at all that life. It just makes us feel so much more insignificant and I love that.”

“Oh yeah, the view is pretty too.” A chuckle from behind him, “You find comfort in insignificance?”

Seungmin turned away from the view, it did take some effort. The rest of the apartment felt very modern and bare. Like it was merely a place someone resided and not somewhere someone lived .

“I like knowing that everything we do doesn’t matter really and yet we still do it. There might be no point to it beyond making us happy for a few small moments in time and yet that is still enough for us. No one else may ever know what it was but we do. We know it. That’s what makes it important to us. Who cares if it makes the history books or not? Doing things when we are insignificant in the grand scheme of the world means so much more.”

“God, you’re so cute when you talk. I love it.” Jeongin turned away from Seungmin and walked into the kitchen area, “I had the chef make us dinner as well as some snacks while you work. He also may or may not have added some ice cream to the groceries.”

Seungmin hadn't moved from his spot by the window, his ears turning bright red at the comment. He also realized how stark his idea of comfort was to Jeongin, who was still dressed up nice enough to meet the president and here he was in an old christmas jumper and basketball shorts.

Jeongin came back out with two plates of food, “How do you feel about pet names? I really want the suitors to back off and using our government names isn’t the best look.” Jeongin asked, completely oblivious of the red on Seungmin's face.

“Oh…yeah that’s fine.”

Jeongin placed the food down and went back to bring out a cup of water, an empty wine glass, and a bottle of wine tucked in his arm. “How’s baby then? Also, I assumed no alcohol since you’re studying?”

Seungmin openly cringed at the name ‘baby’. “Yeah, no wine for me tonight.” He moved to sit at the seat where Jeongin put the second plate.

“You don't seem to like the term baby. Fair enough. How about sweetie? Or love? Though that might come on too strong for you. I could also call you Min or Minnie.” Jeongin also sat down to begin eating. "I've got a friend who goes by Min as well, could get confusing."

“I- I mean- you can use any of those.” Seungmin stuttered through his response. His ears were definitely stark red by now. The hopeless romantic in him enjoyed the names even if they were fake.

“So, love” Jeongin tried out, “What about for me? You can use baby with me if you really want. Some of my friends call me Innie which can work as well.”

“Yeah, yeah I'll use those.” Seungmin turned his attention fully to his food to eat, trying to hide the blush that was prominent on his face. Maybe he needed just as much company from another as Jeongin needed, real or not. And maybe he was enjoying it more than the other.

They are in silence for the rest of the meal. Jeongin took the plates back to the kitchen and returned with two small bowls of ice cream, which they also ate quietly.

“Will the dining table suffice for school work or would you rather my study? I’ll have to move my work though.” Jeongin offered as he took care of the now empty bowls.

“The table is fine. I’ve more than enough room to spread out on it.” Seungmin pulled out his papers and laptop to set up. He wasn’t lying. Usually he was stuck using the small table in his shared apartment because his room was much too small to fit a desk comfortably. Felix and Jisung were more than used to sharing a dinner with an assignment.

“I-… yeah you do that.” Jeongin sputtered to an oblivious Seungmin who was now too focused on setting up his work space just as he wanted it to catch the accidental innuendo in his words.

It wasn’t long before Seungmin was fully into ‘school mode’. Any other thoughts vanquished from his mind as he worked through his paper.  At one point Jeongin had left and come back with a laptop and situated himself on the couch in the nearby sitting area.

2 hours had passed in silence before Seungmin was pushing back his chair and turning back to the city skyline, muttering under his breath all the while Jeongin was staring at him.

“Everything okay?”

“Oh, yeah.” Seungmin pulled his attention away from the view to look at the older man on the couch. When did he change into shorts and a tee shirt? “I needed a break from working before I ended up just ranting about utilitarianism instead of actually writing the paper.”

“What’s the paper about?”

“Nothing really. It’s more of a fun assignment I’m doing. Kind of stupid.” Seungmin scratched at the back of his neck.

“I doubt it’s stupid if you’re doing it for your graduate degree.”

“Well… I’m writing about the morality of Albus Dumbledore from the Harry Potter series.”

Jeongin raised his eyebrows, “I thought you were doing feminist ethics or something?”

“Well yeah,” Seungmin sat down in his chair, “But I do need to think about other discipline of ethics and I chose to use Albus and his take on the war to explore some of the other philosophers. Hence why it’s more of a fun assignment. I have to find something I enjoy to apply them to, to actually take the time to fully grasp everything.”

“That sounds smart. The patience you have to pick apart an entire world like that is interesting. Especially for the fun of it.”

“I guess so. To me it’s a normal night.” Seungmin bashfully hid back behind his laptop, “What are you working on?”

“Eh, nothing nearly as fun or thought provoking as that. Just answering emails from work and planning out some meetings for next week.”

“Oh.”

Seungmin knew he had been more productive in the past hours than he usually is. Working side by side with someone else seemed to motivate him. Plus he wasn’t being interrupted every five seconds like he usually was and he’s being paid to be here. He’s the sugar baby after all. So he should spend more time with the one paying.

“I thought you were drained from work? Why don’t we watch a movie or something?” He offered up, closing his laptop.

“No, I’m all good. You’re here to do your homework.” Jeongin said but the smile on his face at the idea gave him away.

“If I keep working on this I will go insane. I need a solid break from it all.” Seungmin dismissed the sad excuse of an argument and got up to join Jeongin on the couch, “Pick something good. My frontal lobe isn’t fully developed yet, got a few months left, so I don’t know what counts as a mature enough movie.”

Jeongin whacked him with a pillow nearby once he put his laptop on the coffee table, “Just because I’m older does not mean I’ve lost my taste for adventure.”

“You’re doing emails on a Friday night.”

“And you’re dissecting the morality of a movie character. Especially when you’re at the prime in your life for going to clubs.”

“Just pick a movie, old man.” Seungmin teased back but did watch Jeongin’s facial reactions to see if he had crossed a line.

Jeongin simply rolled his eyes and flipped through various streaming services before settling on a movie.

“Princess Bride? God, you really are showing your age.”

“Oh shut up you nerd.”

**************

A couple months had gone by and Seungmin had found himself looking forward to every Friday night. Even when he was in the midst of his finals for the semester he enjoyed the break from it all. Most of the dates were back out in public, including the one on his birthday, but there had been 2 other dates at Jeongin’s place, back to back. The Friday before finals and the Friday after they were done. Jeongin had helped him study for the finals the week prior, claiming that he got just as much enjoyment and use out of it as Seungmin did. Whatever that meant. The one after finals week was over they originally were going out somewhere but one look at the tired Seungmin had Jeongin calling his driver back and heading back to his place.

Jeongin had given Seungmin some of his pajamas to wear so he wouldn’t have to lounge around all dressed up as he was. Seungmin picked a kdrama to watch and they marathoned it until Seungmin had fallen asleep on the couch. He knew that Jeongin must have carried him as he slept because he found himself waking up in the guest room to a series of texts from Felix asking if he was actually dead this time.

There was a change of clothes for Seungmin and when he wandered out of the room he found breakfast and Jeongin waiting for him in the dining room. They had shared a peaceful breakfast and Seungmin found himself wishing he could linger because the soft domesticity of it all was pulling at his heart, sugar daddy or not. He found himself beginning to want more.

Once he left he had gotten a text from Jeongin asking if he made it safely home and then a payment of $2000, both as an apology for keeping him so late the night prior and as a reward for making it through his finals week.

Yang Jeongin

I told you to keep me up to date on your studies as an incentive. Of course I’ll reward you for getting through the semester and no doubt passing with flying colors.   [12:09]

Seungmin had found himself wishing more and more that this wasn’t just an arrangement in the weeks that followed. He knew it was stupid. He knew he was just pretty arm candy for Jeongin. He had heard the comments from Jeongin about how he looked more than enough to know he was feeding into some sort of nightly fantasies but Jeongin never acted on it with him. Now Seungmin wasn’t an innocent angel either. He definitely had his own dreams and fantasies involving the older man. It didn’t help that it felt more and more like a solid friendship the more they were together.

“So there still is no sex?” Felix had joined Seungmin for dinner one night.

Seungmin shook his head, “No. He holds very true to that, even when I fell asleep there. I’ve never felt pressured. But I’ve told you, I’m confident that he probably jacks off to the thought of me. I do see how he looks at me.”

“Yeah and I’ve heard you one or two nights moaning his name so it’s not like you’re against the idea.” Felix teased back.

“I try to be quiet, sorry.” His ears flushed red.

*************

It was Thursday when Jeongin reached out to him again.

Yang Jeongin

There is a charity event on Saturday and you will be my plus one. No need to meet up tomorrow. You will take a cab to my apartment at 6pm so we can arrive at the venue at the same time, in the same car. The event will most likely go well into the night but we will leave no earlier than 11pm. Wear the outfit with the black skirt from a couple weeks ago. Silver jewelry only. The black top and bomber jacket with knee high black socks. I will be matching in all black. I want to show you off. It will be your debut as my partner to my world.   [14:25]

Kim Seungmin

Any makeup?   [15:04]

Yang Jeongin

If your friend Felix can do that smokey eye on you again that would be appreciated. Keep everything else fairly natural.   [15:17]

Kim Seungmin

Will do.   [15:21]

How formal is this event? I feel like I’m going to look like your goth girlfriend.   [15:22]

Yang Jeongin

I want to play up your youth. It’ll be fairly formal. Cocktail dresses for most women and button up and slacks for most men is the bare minimum. I’ll be in an all black suit.   [15:24]

We will talk in person about what sort of touching is acceptable between us. I need people to notice you and know you’re there with me.   [15:29]

There will be alcohol. If need be depending on your sobriety levels and the lateness of the event you are welcome to sleep in the guest room again so bring pajamas and a toothbrush.   [15:30]

Kim Seungmin

I’ll bring those. Anything else?   [15:33]

Yang Jeongin

Be prepared to get unwanted attention. Unfortunately some of my associates are lacking in the moral sphere.   [15:35]

Kim Seungmin

Aye aye captain   [15:37]

************

They were in the car, probably ten minutes out from the event. Seungmin knew, as he watched the streets pass by out the window, that Jeongin hadn’t taken his eyes off of him since he got out of the cab to meet him at the entrance of his apartment building. Not that Seungmin was particularly complaining. He liked feeling good and to have his sugar daddy so clearly into him felt really good. Plus if his skirt was hiked a little higher than normal and he had gotten the shirt cinched in slightly, he would never tell.

“You’re really 100% comfortable with what you said for touching? Thighs included?” Jeongin broke the silence.

Seungmin turned away from the window to see Jeongin’s eyes were roaming over the space between his socks and where his skirt had ridden up while sitting.

“As long as it’s you. I rather everyone see you touching me and not think that I’m open for business. Thighs, back, arms? They’re all okay. Kiss on the cheek as well if need be. Arm around my shoulders or waist is also okay. Need them to know who I belong to.” Though as true as his statement was there was the underlying desire to be touched and wanted by the man he was beginning to want more and more.

“…Belong to?” Jeongin’s voice was quiet at that statement. Which stirred something inside of Seungmin. He probably just unlocked another wet dream for the older man. Not that he was upset at it. Possessiveness might be a good look on Jeongin.

“Yeah, I need you to clearly have a claim on me tonight. Both so your suitors and the press can see but also for your morally uninclined associates.”

“Uh… Yeah… that.” Jeongin was clearly faltering. His brain short wiring. “If- if I go too far with anything or you retract any of that consent let me know immediately.”

Seungmin simply smiled as they pulled up to the venue. Jeongin got out first and went around to open the door for Seungmin. He helped the younger out and Seungmin wrapped his hands around Jeongin’s arm. As they entered the venue there were already quite a lot of people inside, mingling with each other. Though immediately eyes were on the pair of them, clearly assessing the new person on Jeongin's arm.

“God, don’t leave me. I think I’d get lost.” Seungmin said as he assessed just how busy it was inside.

“Don't worry sweetie. I’ve got you.” Jeongin patted Seungmin’s hand as they worked their way up to a group of people.

“Chan! I can’t believe you actually showed up.” Jeongin held out a hand to shake one of the gentlemen's in the group, “Did you manage to convince Changbin to make it today? His husband is always a treat to be around.”

“They’re both around somewhere. Hyunjin wanted food. You think any of us would miss an event hosted by Minho? I would rather die. “ Chan let out a hearty laugh, his eyes drifting over to Seungmin but not quite ready to mention it.

“Most of the folks here are only here for good press. These sorts of events always have the least amount of anonymous donations. They talk big game but if you’re one on one with them in a room they’ll call us all sorts of slurs and how the queer community is ruining the city and our industries.” Jeongin said, looking around the room, his voice dripping in contempt.

“Of course. Now Innie, you’ve chosen quite an event to finally introduce us to your mystery man,” Chan turned his attention to Seungmin, “He talks a lot about you. Seems quite proud of your graduate work.”

Seungmin blinked in response. Did Jeongin’s friends know about the arrangement? If not then how long exactly did Jeongin plan on it continuing? Seungmin wasn’t complaining but he’d like to know.

“Don’t be shy sweetie. This here is Bang Chan, current CEO of the Bang Enterprises. They specialize in medical instruments. Chan this here is Seungmin, my partner, a current graduate student in philosophy. He has some wonderful points of feminist ethics that I believe Minho would love to hear.” Jeongin introduced them to each other.

Seungmin smiled at Chan but did not move his hands from where they were wrapped around Jeongin’s arm. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

“And you as well. We’ll make sure you get a chance to talk to Minho tonight. Heavens knows that once he does the expected socialization he’ll be attached by the hip to us.”

“Is Haejun here? I know they had a nasty split.” Jeongin asked Chan.

“Unfortunately. He said he couldn’t just not invite him. I said he should have kicked him to the curb when we first caught wind of the cheating but Minho really wants to be the bigger man.”

“God, he's just an issue maker. I hope he steers clear of us all night. I might punch him. I always knew he was trouble. He always made crude comments to Minho.”

“Changbin would beat you to it if he could. But let’s please try and keep the peace tonight.”

At that moment a waiter came around with a tray of champagne glasses and Jeongin took one and offered it to Seungmin, “I’ll limit my intake tonight or else I’ll be kicked out the second after I see Haejun.”

Seungmin happily took the glass and sipped on it while he listened to the older gentleman talk business. He still hadn’t done any research of his own on Jeongin but had a small grasp of what he did. He was the heir to his grandfather’s business, but his father was currently running  as acting CEO until his grandfather finally died or stepped down, even if he was practically bed ridden. The business held a major hand within the medical industry as a whole, hence how he met Chan. And with Chan came Chan’s longtime best friend, Changbin, who was the CEO of an entertainment company and married to a famous model. They all knew Minho due to his open stance on supporting the LGBTQIA+ in the country and had become fast friends at one of these events.

A while of them talking and Seungmin finally spoke up, whispering into Jeongin’s ear, “Where’s the bathroom?”

“Oh, it’s over there, near the coat check and food table.” Jeongin pointed past Chan, “Do you need me to take you there?”

“I’ve got it. Be back soon, Innie.” Seungmin gave him a squeeze around his arm and slipped away from the group.

He actually had no issue finding the bathroom. He chose a stall due to his skirt and just was more comfortable there than a urinal. He simply did his business and went out to wash his hands. Once clean he used the mirror to adjust his skirt and fix his hair.

“Oh you’re a pretty thing.” A lewd voice entered Seungmin’s field of vision in the mirror, “Dressed all slutty to get a business man to take you home and spend money on you?”

Seungmin didn’t entertain a response to the man and simply tugged the hem of his shirt in place before turning to leave, not once looking at the man.

The man was not pleased at Seungmin’s lack of acknowledgement of him and reached out to grab Seungmin’s shoulder, yanking him to face him.

“You look at me when I’m speaking to you or did your mother not teach you manners?” He spat into Seungmin’s face.

“My mother taught me that if I’ve not anything nice to say then I keep my mouth shut,” He laid the sass on thick.

“Oh? You’ve got some rude things to say? I know a nice way to keep you shut up. Bet your lips would look pretty stretched around my cock. That’ll keep you quiet.”

Seungmin was seething. Guess he found one of the immoral associates of Jeongin’s.

The man still had a grip on Seungmin’s shoulder but used his other hand to pinch at Seungmin’s waist, “So pretty and small. Bet I could throw you around like a sack of rice.” The touch felt like it was burning holes through his clothes and skin.

It was the gods on Seungmin’s side when he heard the bathroom door open.

“Jiyoung! I’ve been looking for you everywhere.” A voice behind him said as they approached the two.

Immediately the other man backed off, releasing Seungmin, “Oh Hyunjin, I didn’t know you and Changbin were bringing a third. Guess he wanted to upgrade to something younger and prettier.”

The newcomer, Hyunjin, finally made it to them and stood protectively in front of Seungmin, “Don’t you dare say anything about me or my friends Haejun. We haven’t jumped you yet because Minho has decided to be the bigger man than you ever could be and we will respect him, not you.”

So this was Haejun. And also Hyunjin, Changbin's husband, whom Seungmin was already fond of.

“Whatever. Keep an eye on your little play thing less someone else nabs him up.”

Hyunjin wrapped an arm around Seungmin’s shoulders and led him out. Once they were well clear of Haejun he spoke again.

“I’m going to take you to my friend group for a while until Haejun fucks right off and then we can find who you came with. God I wish Minho would blacklist him. I’m Hyunjin.” Hyunjin introduced as he steered him away from the bathroom.

Seungmin didn’t really offer up his name. The actual shock of the situation was setting in. He just wanted a familiar face. He wanted Jeongin.

Hyunjin luckily was going to the friend group that Jeongin was a part of. As soon as they were in sight, Seungmin shook off Hyunjin’s arm and beelined for Jeongin.

“Minnie! I see you found Hyunjin.” Jeongin smiled as he saw the two approach.

Seungmin latched himself onto Jeongin’s side. “Put your arm around my waist, please. Hold me tight.” There was a hint of desperation in his voice that he wasn't even aware of.

Jeongin merely raised his eyebrows in confusion but did as he was asked. His hand came to rest on the spot that Haejun had pinched Seungmin and he felt like it was being washed away. Jeongin was safe.

“Oh? I didn’t know you were with Jeongin.” Hyunjin said as he found himself wrapped from behind by Changbin as he joined the group, “Maybe that’ll give Minho more reason to kick out Haejun.”

“Haejun?” Jeongin asked, his hand tightening around Seungmin’s waist, “What did he do?” His protectiveness started to kick in.

“From what I walked into, he was borderline sexually assaulting, but definitely harassing your boy there.”

“Seungmin, his name is Seungmin.” Jeongin turned to search Seungmin’s face, “Are you okay, Min?” The hand on Seungmin's waist began to draw light circles.

Seungmin buried his face into Jeongin’s shoulder, “I’m not leaving your side. Make sure they know whose I am and that I’m not to be touched.”

Jeongin listened politely and placed a soft kiss on the top of Seungmin’s head before addressing the rest of the group, “Haejun had the audacity to touch what’s mine and in such a crude way. If Minho doesn’t blacklist him from all future events then none of you will see me or my Seungminnie there.”

The group let out hums of approval at that statement. Seungmin knew his ears were surely bright red at that. He hadn't even considered that Jeongin would react like that, so clearly upset at Seungmin being uncomfortable.

“Of course Innie. None of us like him anyways. Maybe Minho will actually do something since he’s not the victim this time.” Chan gave a reassuring pat to the side of Jeongin that Seungmin was not monopolizing.

“If I see Haejun tonight, it’s on sight. Believe me.” Changbin growled from behind Hyunjin.

“How about we all go out to the garden area? I’ll text Minho where we are and he can meet us out there? I don’t need any of the press hearing us talking.” Chan offered, starting to usher the group around, “Minho always has a press free zone.”

The group followed where Chan directed them. Seungmin never once moved from Jeongin’s side. The garden area was down a somewhat secluded hall. It wasn’t that big, but what else could you expect in the city?

They ended up finding a small table to sit at which had just enough chairs for all of them.

“Can I sit on your lap, please?” Seungmin asked. His logic was that they would need a chair for Minho when he arrived and also that he had no desire not to be glued to Jeongin right now. At least if he sat in Jeongin’s lap then it would be impossible for anyone to not know he’s with him here. Lastly, he figured that if he sat facing Jeongin, he could hide his face in the other’s chest or neck.

“I- are you sure? You’ve not been drinking too much have you? I know you had the champagne but was there anything else?”

“Just the champagne. Please? Only if you want to as well. I don’t want to face anyone both literally and figuratively.”

“Okay then. Let me know if you change your mind.” Jeongin sat down in the chair and smoothed out his pants.

Seungmin assessed for a moment on how he was actually going to accomplish this. It took some finagling but he managed to get his legs slipped through the chair’s arms and undoing a couple buttons of Jeongin's suit jacket to wrap his hands under before laying his head on the older’s chest. His skirt got bunched up quite a bit but he was wearing shorts so he wasn’t concerned.

Jeongin wrapped a loose arm around Seungmin’s back and began to rub soothing circles. His other hand stayed on the arm of the chair.

“He looks so cute with you, Innie.” Hyunjin cooed at Seungmin as the others got comfortable in their chairs.

“I’ve never known you for much skinship ever Innie. Know you are special, Seungmin.” Chan added.

“You are really cute.” Jeongin whispered to Seungmin, “Let me know if you need anything.”

The rest of the night went by until Minho showed up over an hour later. Seungmin hasn’t moved from where he was sitting but he could make out the additional body sitting in the chair next to them from how his head was laying on Jeongin’s chest.

“What? Is this real? Is our little Innie finally settling down?” The new voice spoke up.

“Honestly they already seem like newlyweds to me.” Changbin piped up.

Chan though cut right to the case, “You have to ban Haejun going forward.”

“Why-“ Minho started but was cut off.

“He was sexually harassing and touching Seungmin without consent.” Jeongin tightened his arm around the boy in his lap, “If he is at any future events you can’t count me out. I will not put my partner in any situation like that willingly.”

Seungmin snuggled closer to Jeongin at that. Finding himself liking the protectiveness the other was projecting and also hearing him called my partner

“I won’t be coming either. He made crude comments about Changbin and me and I can’t sit here and just let it be.”

“You didn’t tell me tha-“

“He actually did that? He made you guys uncomfortable?” There was a hint of disbelief in Minho’s voice but not that towards his friends but that Haejun actually stooped so low.

“I know you want to be the bigger man and part of you probably still loves him because it is hard to forget 6 years with him, but please Minho, for all of our sake’s blacklist him.” Chan’s voice sounded reassuring.

“Fuck… I-, yeah. I’ll do it. I’m not hosting an event for a couple months so hopefully it won’t hurt as much by then. I hope.” He seemed so defeated. Seungmin could hear movement and then saw Chan come into his view to hug Minho.

They all sat in silence for a while before Minho pulled himself together and spoke up again.

“So you must be Seungmin, mystery man in my friend’s lap. The ethics guy who had Innie’s heart in all sorts of knots.”

Seungmin merely nodded. He felt sleepy in Jeongin’s arms. The soothing circles seem to draw him closer to actually falling asleep.

Jeongin let out a soft chuckle, “I do think the little baby is tired. Maybe later you two can discuss philosophy and such.”

The rest of the group awed at them and Seungmin could feel his cheeks burning with blush.

“Wait, those two can be so overly touchy but I give my husband, the man I’m legally married to , a kiss on the cheek and I’m the one being gross and displaying too much pda? What the hell?”

“Innie is our baby and Seungmin here is his baby. It’s like cuteness squared.”

“My own husband? Against me!?”

Another month had passed since the last charity event. Seungmin did end up staying the night at Jeongin’s. He also had fallen asleep in the garden on him. Jeongin had joked later about just carrying him through the crowded venue to the car so as not to wake him up but didn’t want anyone else to see him so vulnerable. Also Jeongin wasn’t lying about Seungmin making the cover of gossip articles. Someone had even taken a photo of them in the garden, which had Minho seething since that was a press free area but Seungmin had printed out the photo to hang up.

“It’s been a literal month. Why are they still writing about you two?” Jisung scrolled through another article, showing it to Felix and Seungmin.

“You really are a hot commodity in the business world all of a sudden Min.” Felix scanned through the new article.

“At least they aren’t calling me an escort, prostitute, or gold digger in that article. Even though they might technically be right with all of those claims.” Seungmin didn’t even look up from the assignment he was working on.

“Don’t say those things!”

“I go on dates with this man and get paid for it because I want money? It’s not false.”

“But we all know that you want it to be real. Seungmin you only dated one guy in college and broke up with him because he was and I quote ‘Too caught up in foolhardiness. Didn’t understand the work it went into making a name for yourself. Wouldn’t set aside time for you either. Didn’t want to support your studies but wanted you to drop everything when he failed a test he refused to study for. And all he cared about was going out and partying.’ Of course you actually fall for someone who does have their life together. And they clearly care about your studies.” Jisung was right in everything that Seungmin had said about his ex.

“You’re allowed to like an older man Min,” Felix was less head strong in his argument and more comforting, “You’re both consenting adults. I can understand why you might be cautious because there is that power dynamic because of the money but you said he never holds that over you. The way you talk about him, he seems genuine and nice to you. He cares. He threatened to cause a scandal essentially by never going to Minho’s events again if he didn’t blacklist the guy who harassed you. Why not take the risk?”

Seungmin set down his pencil and pushed his notes away from him, “Because I like what we have. What if I’m the idiot who caught feelings and he’s uncomfortable with that and cuts the arrangement? Then I lose both a steady source of income and his companionship.” As he spoke his phone went off.

Yang Jeongin

Change of plans for Friday. Hyunjin and Changbin invited us to join them for some couples painting/drinking event. Couldn’t really tell you what that even means. I’ll assume we are supposed to slowly get drunk while following a painting tutorial and then laugh at the outcome?   [20:48]

Wear some shorts and an oversized sweatshirt. You’ll look cute and sort of artsy.   [20:49]

I hope   [20:50]

Wherever Hyunjin goes, the paparazzi are sure to follow unfortunately.   [20:50]

“Text him back something flirty!” Felix unhelpfully suggested.

“Yeah because that’s something I do normally.” Seungmin rolled his eyes but did try to think of something flirty to say. (He didn’t know how to flirt)

Kim Seungmin

What will you be wearing   [20:53]

Will we match   [20:53]

Yang Jeongin

I haven’t thought that far ahead actually   [20:54]

Kim Seungmin

I’ll wear light colors if you can as well.   [20:55]

It’ll look good with your ginger hair.   [20:55]

:)   [20:55]

“That’s the best you can do?”

“Shut up.”

Yang Jeongin

I’ll see what I can do   [20:59]

*************

Friday rolled around and Seungmin was waiting for Jeongin near the address he was sent. It didn’t take long until he spotted the older man. He was wearing a sky blue jumper over top of white pants. Seungmin blushed, his sky blue shorts and slightly off white knitted sweater matched too perfectly with him.

“You wore light colors.”

“Hi to you too Minnie.” Jeongin laughed and slid his hand into Seungmin’s. “Let’s, shall we?”

“They look good on you,” Seungmin had a boost of confidence enough to say that but not enough to not tack on a witty remark, “Almost look a year or two younger.”

“You’re one to talk. You almost don’t look like a school boy today,” Jeongin teased back as they headed in.

“By all definitions I am though. I’m a boy and I am in school.”

“Okay, first you turned 25 a few months back. Your frontal lobe is fully developed so you’re a man. Second, you're a hard working graduate student, don’t play that down to just a school boy.”

They walked into the event full of smiles, happy to greet Changbin and Hyunjin.

“See Binnie, I told you that we should have worn a couple outfit. Innie and Min are showing us up now.” Hyunjin whined to his husband when the other pair joined them at their group of easels.

Seungmin blushed and leaned into Jeongin’s side, “I’m sure you two will make up for it throughout the night.” He was comfortable with Jeongin’s friend group, which was a surprise to himself, but having them all speak up or defend him even without knowing who he was did help propel the comfort and trust faster.

“You know you’re not allowed to sit in his lap today, right? You two have to sit in your own chairs in front of your own easels.” Changbin didn’t hesitate to tease back.

“That’s going to be difficult.” Seungmin’s eyes crinkled with how hard he was smiling. When he stole a glance at Jeongin he could see the older man’s face turning a shade of pink.

“Everyone take a seat! Drinks will be around shortly.” The teacher at the front of the room called out to everyone.

Jeongin and Seungmin sat in the chairs next to the other couple as wine was brought around and they began painting.

Half an hour had passed before Seungmin spoke up. “You know Innie it’s supposed to be a cow.” The alcohol was turning him a little tipsy as he looked at the other’s painting.

“It is a cow! Your’s looks like a blob of brown. Mine at least have eyes.”

Seungmin dabbed his brush in some red paint and reached over to put a swipe of it in the corner of Jeongin’s painting.

“What the hell?” Jeongin used his brush that currently had blue from the sky on it to put random splotches on Seungmin’s painting, but the air between them stayed light and joking.

Seungmin merely laughed at their antics. He wasn’t sure if it was the atmosphere or the alcohol but he was finding it easy to tease the older one.

They continued their paintings until the tutorial was done and they were allowed to stay and fix it up. Most others were mingling around but Seungmin and Jeongin were stuck in their little bubble.

“It’s a horse. You made a horse.” Seungmin’s smile was wide and his laughter was flowing freely.

“At least mine looks like an animal,” Jeongin used his brush to point at the failure on Seungmin’s canvas, “Did you just draw a pile of shit?”

“No!” Seungmin pointed at various spots, “There are the eyes, the bell, the ears. It’s a cow. I even added horns.”

Jeongin scooched his chair closer to peer at Seungmin’s painting, “Those are horns? I thought those were the ears. And I thought the ears were just a lumpy part of the head.” He was laughing at the painting.

“What?” Seungmin started to complain but as he looked at Jeongin all words died in his throat. Maybe it was the alcohol in them that made Jeongin’s smile contagious. His eyes light with joy and laughter. Maybe it was the painting that calmed them down, brought them into this headspace. Maybe it was just them and nothing else was affecting Seungmin. Maybe Seungmin was just tired of wanting.

Seungmin closed the gap between them, his lips meeting the smile on Jeongin in front of the canvas. At first Jeongin seemed surprised but he melted like chocolate in the hot sun into the kiss. His hand going out to gently cup at Seungmin’s face, holding his cheek like it would break if he indented it.

Seungmin felt like he was floating. The paint on his hands transferred to the white pants on Jeongin’s thighs as he kept his balance. Both were so gone to the world, in their own universe that they never heard the clicking of the cameras.

“You actually kissed him and then you two continued on the night as if nothing happened?” Felix could not believe the retelling that Seungmin gave him.

“Not 100%. He seemed more touchy to me. More open to hold me close and just brush up against me.” Seungmin was scrolling through all the news articles from Friday night. There were a few photos of the kiss which he saved to his phone. Jeongin had warned him that there was a chance of paparazzi. “How did they get my name though?”

“They had a month to do the digging on you. That or someone got the participants list from the painting thing.” Felix was scrolling through the articles as well, “Something sinister? Do they think you’re going to murder him?”

“Oh that article? No, they talk about him grooming me as if we didn’t only meet this past year. Half of these articles are just junk. They want clicks.” Seungmin dismissed that article. He felt sort of numb to all the articles, even the ones being rude towards him. They just didn’t matter. What mattered to him was the way Jeongin had kissed him so gently, his lips soft and careful. His hand holding his face. His warm thighs under Seungmin’s hands. That’s what mattered.

Felix clicked off his phone, “You’re going to talk to him right? Actually discuss the feelings? You’ve been doing this sugar baby thing for 6 or 7 months now. You guys saw each other over the holidays and both of your birthdays. He has to feel something too. You should text him.”

Seungmin glanced up at his friend, “Text him what exactly?”

“Take initiative on the date this week. Ask for it to be a home date.”

Seungmin let out a sigh. It wasn’t a bad idea, just not ideal. “Fine.”

Kim Seungmin

Hey Innie   [11:18]

Yang Jeongin

Everything okay?   [11:27]

Kim Seungmin

Yeah   [11:30]

Just wondering what your plan was for this Friday?   [11:31]

Yang Jeongin

Sorry. I got pulled into a meeting   [12:59]

I didn’t have anything planned just yet   [13:00]

Why?   [13:01]

Kim Seungmin

Can we do one at your place?   [13:08]

And talk   [13:08]

Yang Jeongin

Of course sweetie   [13:09]

Are you sure everything is okay   [13:09]

Is Friday too late   [13:09]

I can make time earlier in the week   [13:09]

Kim Seungmin

Nothing bad   [13:10]

I promise   [13:11]

Friday is perfect   [13:11]

See you then Innie   [13:12]

Yang Jeongin

Let me know if anything changes   [13:12]

See you then    [13:16]

Jeongin had been typing for a while so Seungmin was surprised to only get the ‘see you then’ as a response.

“Felix I think I will have to call off the arrangement nonetheless. If he likes me then I don’t want to just be a sugar baby. If he doesn’t I can’t stay in the arrangement because I’ll always want more.”

“And that’s fine. I’ll make sure Jisung is free on Friday and we will have a big bowl of ice cream waiting for you.”

***********

The week leading up to Friday felt like it was going to kill Seungmin. He couldn’t focus in any of his classes and all the work he did was well below par for him but he couldn’t really care. He was turning his stomach into knots trying to plan what he was going to say when he finally saw Jeongin.

Felix had helped him pick out an outfit, and they ended up on the sexy nerd outfit that Jeongin had described so long ago on their first date. Now Seungmin was waiting in the apartment lobby for Jeongin to come get him, fiddling with the hem of his skirt.

“Min?” Jeongin’s voice startled Seungmin, he was too caught up in his own head to notice the other getting here, “Minnie, sweetie, are you sure you’re okay?” Concern was written all over his face.

Seungmin gave his head a shake and smoothed out his skirt, “Yeah, yeah. Can we head up now?”

“Of course.” Jeongin took his hand and led him up to his apartment. “I thought we could get take out? What’s your favorite place?”

Seungmin beelined right for the couch, plopping himself down in lieu of actually answering.

“Or food can wait.” Jeongin followed suit and sat down next to, but not quite close, to Seungmin on the couch, “What’s on your mind?”

Might as well rip the bandaid off, “I want to end the arrangement.” He blurted out.

“Oh,” If he was looking he would have seen Jeongin’s shoulders slump down and a sad look cross his face, “That’s fine. You’re more than welcome to do that. I understand if it’s the articles or anything honestly. You don’t need a reason.”

“Wait, shit, no.” Seungmin’s brain caught up with what he said, “That’s not what I meant. Or well it is but not how I meant it … fuck.”

“So do you or don’t you want to end it?” The older man asked cautiously, not quite sure what Suengmin was getting at.

“Yes.” Seungmin took a breath in hopes to gather his thoughts, “I want to end it because it’s not what I want. Shit, that still doesn’t sound good. It’s not that I don’t like it or don’t want you. The issue is I want you and I want you so fucking much. I want to end the arrangement because I want to be your actual boyfriend, not just the sugar baby. But if you don’t want that then I need to end it because continuing when I like you so much will destroy my heart.” He rambled out.

“God you’re so cute when you talk but I think you need to shut up for once,” Was the only warning Seungmin got before soft lips were meeting his.

Seungmin let out a small “Hmph” as the space between their bodies closed and he was pushed back into the couch.

Jeongin pulled back, only a few centimeters to allow them to breathe, “I’ve wanted you genuinely since you ranted about Aristotle, you damn nerd.” And then he was removing Seungmin’s glasses and setting them off to the side before closing the space again.

“That was-“ The first date. Seungmin tried to speak but it’s a bit hard to get words out when someone else’s tongue is in your mouth.

He felt Jeongin’s hands slide up his sides, squeezing him softly at his waist. Seungmin reached out with his hands and found Jeongin’s chest, where he ended up resting them lightly.

Jeongin moved one of his hands up to hold the side of Seungmin’s neck as he kissed him deeper, pushing him back into the cushions of the couch. He shifted his own body from next to Seungmin to partially on top of and in front of Seungmin.

“So…damn…pretty.” Jeongin mumbled in between kisses. Seungmin could feel the pressure increase on the back of his neck where Jeongin’s fingers were.

“Mmmm,” Moaning into the kiss was all Seungmin could do at that point. He grabbed at the older’s shirt to pull him fully over top of Seungmin as he slid down so he was laying on his back on the couch. Jeongin was now situated on his knees with one thigh in between his legs, Seungmin’s skirt fanning out.

Jeongin shifted with him as he moved, using the hand on the back of Seungmin’s neck to guide him down softly. He moved his lips to press kisses along Seungmin’s jaw, “Is this okay?”

“Yes… God yes.” Seungmin panted out, already very affected. He moved his hand so one was on the back of Jeongin’s scalp and the other was holding the couch arm above his head.

Jeongin sucked a small mark just below Seungmin’s ear, winning quite a moan from the younger, “Say something smart.”

“Wha-?” Seungmin’s brain felt too fuzzy to understand that.

“Tell me your stance on immortality or something.” Jeongin’s hot breath tickled Seungmin’s ear, sending a shiver right through him.

“Immortality?” The question knocked Seungmin off kilter slightly until the older continued his work on his neck. “Fuck…”

“Use your words sweetie.” Jeongin paused, pulling back from Seungmin, “First, actually, what are you okay with if we continue this?” The question and seriousness of it quite jarring in the current atmosphere.

“God, anything.”

“What counts as anything?” Jeongin ran a tender hand up and down Seungmin’s side. “I need you to be very explicit darling, because I want you but I’ll only take what you give.”

Seungmin’s face blushed as he realized he was going to have to quite literally spell out what he wants and what he wants is to be fucked stupid. “Touch me anywhere. Tease me. Kiss me… Fuck me.”

Jeongin’s pupils were blown wide now, “Are you sure? 100%?”

Seungmin nodded, “Very much so. I- You should know…” He trailed off.

“What should I know sweetie?”

“I’m a virgin.” His voice was barely a whisper, why he felt embarrassed was beyond him.

“Fuck. That’s okay sweetie. I’ll be careful. If you don’t like anything then you tell me okay. And if you want to stop then I’ll stop no questions asked. Okay?” Jeongin placed a soft kiss to Seungmin’s forehead, “I want this to be the best first time anyone could ask for. You just lay there and be pretty. I’ll take care of everything else.”

“O-okay.”

“Now tell me about immortality, sweetie.” Jeongin didn’t hesitate getting back into riling Seungmin up now that he had the consent, “Your brains make me so horny.”

Seungmin would normally laugh or tease the other at such a comment but found any teases dying in his throat as soon as the other had moved a hand under his shirt, working its way up to his chest.

“I think… I think it’s horrible to be immortal. It’s just that.. fuck,” Jeongin’s hands had found his nipple and was swiping back and forth against it.

“Keep talking, sweetie.”

“What’s the point of…god.. what’s the point of doing anything when you have all the time in the world- Innie!” Jeongin was now twisting his nipple under the shirt while still sucking marks into his neck and seemed to have found a sensitive spot on his neck.

“When we die our choice…our choices matter more. What we decide to do when…when…fuck, when we have a time limit is important.” Seungmin’s hands on the arm of the couch tightened as Jeongin was now pushing his thigh up into Seungmin’s crotch, rocking slightly.

“Why’s it important Minnie?” Jeongin’s voice came out very cocky. He was enjoying this.

Seungmin had his eyes screwed shut in hopes of focusing on what he was saying but as they say, when one sense is cut off the others heighten. “If you’re immortal then you can learn every language…. Oh fuck… but when we have to choose what to learn or do, that means we choose what matters to us. We choose to do what we love instead because we don’t have…have all the time in the world. Plus … fuck fuck. Too much.”

Jeongin stopped his thigh that was grinding against Seungmin, “Can’t focus Minnie?”

“I don’t want to… come in my underwear like a school boy.” Seungmin panted as he

forced himself to settle down.

“Tsk, so sensitive sweetie.” Jeongin pulled at the hem of Seungmin’s tops, “Let’s get these off at least.” Seungmin allowed him to pull the sweater and button up off, tossing them to some place in the room. Jeongin ran his hands gently across the now exposed skin, “So pretty.” He shifted down slightly to start leaving marks on Seungmin’s chest, “Keep talking darling. I want to hear more.”

Seungmin squirmed under the new sensations. He really didn’t want to talk but he also wanted to be good . “Plus everything dies. Every living being dies… it’s, it’s the one thing we all have in common. Some just take… fuuuck,” Jeongin had latched his mouth onto one of Seungmin’s nipples, his hands playing with the other, “Some take longer to die than others but we all die. Being…immortal takes away that one thing that we all- we all share.”

“Does it now?” Jeongin hums into Seungmin’s chest in response, sending a warm feeling all throughout his body.

“Y-yeah.” It was getting really hard for Seungmin to concentrate on anything besides Jeongin. His mouth, his touch, his warmth. Especially now that his mouth was moving more south. “All humans die one- one day. Is it what makes us human? Fuck… probably not since … since… since…” Seungmin trailed off as a hand replaced the thigh on his crotch and Jeongin started to palm him through the shorts under the skirt.

“Focus darling.” Jeongin tutted out. Seungmin could feel the smirk of his lips against his hip as he continued to cover Seungmin in kisses and marks.

“It’s- its hard, Innie.”

“I know you’re hard sweetie, but I’m not done listening to you.”

Jeongin pressed harder against Seungmin causing any attempt at speaking again to be cut off by a whine as his body arched into the touch, “Innie, Innie please.”

Jeongin removed his hand from its ministrations and sat back on his heels to look down at Seungmin. There was spit glistening his lips and his eyes were dark with desires. “Should we move this to the bedroom, sweetie? My bed is much more comfortable than this couch.”

“Yes. Yes please.” Seungmin was quick to agree to the change.

Jeongin removed himself from the couch and before Seungmin was even aware of what was happening he found himself being bridal carried to the bedroom.

“Fu-“

Jeongin let out a small chuckle, “You remember our third or fourth date when you mentioned your insecurities with your weight? Even though you are so fucking perfect? I made Changbin take me to the gym almost daily after that so I could pick you up if the opportunity ever arose. Such as now.”

Seungmin hid his face in the crook of Jeongin’s neck. He was sure that his cheeks and ears would match a ripened tomato if he could see them.

They made their way to the bedroom and Jeongin softly deposited him on the bed. The older man stood at the foot of the bed and removed his shirt in one practiced motion before crawling on to the bed and over top of Seungmin. “Now where were we darling?” He tentatively ran his finger along the waistband of Seungmin’s shorts, “Can I take these both off? I’d like to leave the skirt if possible.”

Seungmin nodded enthusiastically in response. Jeongin ran his fingers under the waistband of the shorts from the front to Seungmin’s hips and then pulled them down and off. His boxers followed shortly after. Now Seungmin was left in just the skirt and knee highs from earlier.

“So pretty. So very pretty.” Jeongin was peering up at Seungmin through narrowed eyes, his voice dripping with want. His hands were now kneading at the soft skin on the inside of Seungmin’s thighs. “I want to just take you apart piece by piece.”

At that Seungmin spoke up, “Wait…”

Jeongin paused his movements and looked up, curiosity and concern in his eyes, “Yes sweetie?”

“I- I don’t like overstimulation. Never really enjoyed it when I’ve… when I’ve done it alone. I get really sleepy after one orgasm. We can try that some other time but not tonight. Not for my first time.” Seungmin felt so embarrassed to have to voice that but he needed to. He knew both he and Jeongin wanted this to go well which meant he had to explicitly state what he wanted or didn’t want.

Jeongin leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on Seungmin’s forehead, “Understood sweetie. So what do you want exactly? I can blow you if you want and then we get showered and come back here to sleep?”

“I- I really want you to fuck me.” Seungmin admitted.

“Have you ever been fingered by someone before?”

Seungmin shook his head in response. He's obviously done it to himself but he knew the feeling was going to be drastically different with someone else doing it.

“Then maybe we leave the fucking for another day sweetie? It’s not that I don’t want it, trust me I really do. But I also want this to go well for you. Fingering can be a lot for someone, especially for their first time.” Jeongin was being so caring and it only made Seungmin want him to fuck him even more but he also knew there was probably a lot of truth behind his words, so he should trust him.

“What about for you?”

Jeongin ran his hands up and down Seungmin’s thighs, “There’s nothing to worry about for me. I’ve gotten so much from you talking and I’ll get even more from listening to your pretty whines and moans.”

“But-“

“Darling, this is your first time. The only thing you’re allowed to think about is how good it feels. Okay? Trust me when I say that that will be enough for me.”

And trust him he did. It wasn’t much longer until Jeongin was buried three fingers deep into Seungmin, pulsing in and out while occasionally stroking at his prostate. This had left Seungmin in a whiny mess. He never had had a partner in bed before so he wasn’t even aware of how loud he got in the bedroom. Just like promised, Jeongin seemed to be enjoying every moment of Seungmin.

Jeongin placed sloppy kisses along Seungmin’s now shaking thighs, working his way inward. One swipe of his tongue was the end for Seungmin who wasn’t used to this much sensation before. Having another person doing it seemed to only multiply the effect tenfold.

“God…” Seungmin hit his high with a cry. His legs trying to close against the fingers still in him. His back first arching up and off the bed before he was curling in on himself. Jeongin simply helped him through it and once he was done he removed both his hand and mouth.

“You look like sin Minnie. Such perfect sin.” Jeongin's voice was hoarse as he scanned Seungmin’s spent body.

Seungmin rolled his head to the side as his chest heaved. He felt very exposed all of a sudden, skirt and socks be damned.

Jeongin crawled up further and kissed Seungmin’s panting mouth, “You okay sweetie? Was it too much?”

“No…no. It was good. So damn good.” Seungmin felt his eyes fluttering shut. He felt so heavy and tired now.

“Would you be upset, darling, if I got off over top of you? You just look so damn good right now sweetie. I’ll clean you up I promise.” Jeongin asked, quite politely even if his body and voice told Seungmin just how badly he wanted it.

Seungmin wasn’t going to admit just how good that made him feel. To know he was desired so much that just how he looked would be enough, “Please.”

Jeongin pressed another kiss to his cheek before shifting backwards. Seungmin allowed his eyes to fully close but he could hear the sound of Jeongin over him. His moans are more breathy compared to Seungmin’s whines, mixing in with Seungmin's pants to fill the room. It didn’t take long before he felt an additional layer of warmth cover him.

Next thing he knew Jeongin was lifting him up and carrying him to the bathroom. He helped strip off the now ruined skirt and socks, guiding Seungmin into the shower with him following behind. Jeongin didn’t allow Seungmin to do a single thing in the shower and opted to clean him himself. Soon enough Seungmin was toweled off and helped into some of Jeongin’s boxers and pajamas and then guided back to the bedroom.

Seungmin fell asleep content and happy in a warm bed with Jeongin holding him close.

**************

It was now lunch time and it was also the first time Seungmin had ever gotten a chance to see the chef in person versus arriving to recently made food and no chef in sight. He honestly thought that Jeongin might have been lying about the chef but here he was making them lunch.

“We do need to talk, sweetie. About this.” Jeongin broke the silence of them eating.

“Hmm?” Seungmin mumbled around his food.

“This relationship. I know you don’t want the arrangement but I don’t want you to worry about finances either.”

“I don’t want to just be your sugar baby.”

Jeongin smiled, “I know and I much rather you be my boyfriend too but I would be a bad boyfriend if I let you struggle when I’ve got more than enough. A simple allowance wouldn’t even dent my pockets.”

It would solve Seungmin’s issue but he didn’t want this to feel like an arrangement again, “I have my part time job at the campus library.”

“And you can keep it if you want, only if you want. I’m not asking for you to give up your independence. Giving spouses an allowance is common in my world. Now you’re not allowed to be a trophy husband because I want you to keep working on your brain. It’s too smart to not be used.” He added on that last bit to hopefully ease the tension and joke around.

“And what if I did quit my job and only focused on my studies and you?” Seungmin asked, curious if that would be okay.

“I would support you fully. It’ll mean I get more time with you as well. Plus there will be the added benefit of you having more time for your studies.”

“Okay.”

“Okay?”

“Yeah. I’ll do the allowance. After all, I would love more free time with my boyfriend.”

“God I’m never going to get tired of hearing you say that. I get a pretty and smart boyfriend.” Jeongin’s eyes crinkled as he smiled, reaching a hand across the table to brush his fingers against the tips of Seungmin’s.

“Your sap is showing, old man.” Seungmin teased but he would be lying if he said his heart wasn’t singing right now.

“Whatever you nerd. I still like you.”

Notes:

Hope y'all liked it!! Give me comments or critiques please

You can see that this is part of a series but the only one currently. I have full intentions to write a MinChan in this universe. I could see it taking form as I wrote this story. Keep an eye out for that eventually.
