Chapter Text

On the island, A new day has begun. Which also means a day full of adventures for our friends. Rose, Suzie and quincy walk along a town, chattering about on how to get to the next key and obtain it before anyone else does. It was around 10 am, the sun was in the sky accompanied by some clouds.

Suzie then suggested to the 2, " I've read from an article that there is another island not far from here. We could try going there because i doubt people would travel across the sea for a key. "

Rose found the idea quite unique but was unsure if it would be safe, she said, " You sure? like what if something happens? "

Suzie the reassured Rose, " Its alright! if something does happen you and quincy have doodles that can help us. I think. "

Rose replied, " Yea right, i doubt they can do anything. So if we die then its your fault. "

" Okay sure. So its decided? " Suzie then looked over to quincy who was just listening to the discussion. Quincy then said, " Well i guess we can go. I'll get tickets for a cruise if we're gonna cross a sea. "

The group then stopped walking, Suzie then said, " Nah nah nah, We're gonna cross the sea the old fashioned way! " Suzie looked excited with the idea she thought, " We're gonna travel with a pirate ship! "

Rose said, " Is that even legal? " Suzie said, " Legal or not! lets make the most fun out of these adventures we're having. Who knows, after the key hunt we wont have any fun ideas left to do. "

The group stood silently for a moment, quincy then spoke up, " Suzie thats a very dumb idea. No way I'm gonna get us a pirate shi- "

They then got a pirate ship to cross the sea. I dont know how but they managed it.

Rose and her friends got on the ship, Rose looked rather excited about this while suzie was very happy, and quincy looked annoyed. he said, " This is a very dumb idea. Like where do you get these ideas from?? "

" Im very delusional. " Said Suzie.

Suzie then told Rose something, Rose then nodded and rummaged through her backpack. She then took out some packets. She said, " Suzie gave me an idea about dressing up as pirates. " Quincy looked at the packets, " What- "

Suzie excitedly said, " Isnt this an amazing idea! " Quincy replied, " Can this get any dumber? "

Rose shrugged, Suzie then took the outfits packets from Rose's hand and gave one to Rose, another to quincy and kept one for herself. She then explained, " Rose will be the captain because she basically leads the group i guess, and we'll be the crew! "

Quincy sighed and said, " Well I guess i have nothing to do. "

So the group wore the outfit. Rose then said, " Time to set sail to that other island and continue our search for the next key! Are we ready! " Suzie said, " Aye Aye captain! "
Quincy played along for once, " Yep we're ready! "

And the group sail off, ready to start their adventure on the sea. Lets see what happens next!

Chapter Text

The sun shone at its highest point in the sky, it was covered with clouds though, causing the surrounded areas being not as bright as it should seem.

Rose, the 'captain' of the ship was standing at one edge of the ship, looking at the sea. The ocean didnt reflect much light as it wasn't too sunny, thanks to that Rose didnt burn her eyes. She looked up at the crows nest (the high place where the crew can look at the ocean with a better view). Suzie was standing at the crows nest, looking at the sea.

Rose asked with a loud voice just so suzie could hear her, " So how long can it take for us to reach the island we're going too? "

Suzie looked down at Rose and shouted back, " Not sure Captain, probably 1 or 2 days. "

Rose then said, " Y'know you dont necessarily have to call me captain! "

" Why? It's fun that way! " Suzie then again got back to looking at the sea. Rose had a feeling Suzie was enjoying her time cosplaying as a pirate. Rose then looked at the deck for quincy and spotted him looking at the sea at another edge of the ship. Rose then walked up to him, she thought that since she had nothing to really do, why not talk to quincy?

" Hiya quincy, what ya doing? " She asked.
" Not much, trying to pass the time. " Quincy replied.

Rose stood beside quincy, not too close but not too far. The 2 stared into the distant, Rose spoke to break the silence. " Suzie sure has fun ideas to make sure we have fun, her energy is what i like honestly. "

" Her ideas are sometime childlike and dumb, but i guess it does help to light the mood. " replied quincy.

" Hmm yea. " Rose looked back to look up at suzie, still standing at the crows nest. She sure loves her job. She looked at one of her doodles, Garghoul was flying around the ship which she intentionally released not long ago just incase if they see anything else they need to see. Rose looked back at Suzie and noticed suzie was looking at the sky, Rose glanced at the sky noticing the clouds have covered the sky and sun. The clouds were gray. But after noticing the sky, a few drops of rain started to drip, its starting to rain.

Quincy ran over to a shaded place while Rose called out to Suzie to come back. Suzie climbed down from the crows nest and the 2 also ran over to the shaded place where quincy stood. Rose noticed the wind was abit strong and it was raining abit heavily pretty quickly. She took out an empty doodle capsule from her backpack and shouted to her doodle which was flying, " Garghoul! come back! the winds are abit too strong for you to fly around in! "

Garghoul flew near to Rose, The empty capsule in her hand opened and Garghoul turned into a white silhouette, entering the capsule. Rose looked at the capsule which contained Garghoul and put it in her backpack again. She then said, " Did it seriously have to rain now?.. " Rose looked annoyed at this. the ship started to rock abit from the winds and rain, Rose tried to maintain her balance as the floor got slippery, She looked at her friends holding onto something to not slip. She just hopped this storm would pass fast as she didnt want to get sea sick by any chance...

Sometime passes and the storm calms down,
It continued to rain though. Rose gave a sigh of relief as the storm calmed down. The wind also looked somewhat not too strong, so she released Garghoul back into the air. As suzie wasnt on watch duty, she had to make sure they dont get into any danger on the sea. She looked as Garghoul flew at the air, trying its best to handle the wind, even if its not strong, it was still windy. She had no other choices though.

Suddenly Garghoul shrieked loudly as a warning call, this alerted Rose and the others. The 3 of them hurried over to the edge of the ship to see whats caused the doodle to warn them. They saw another ship, and the people they saw on it didn't please the 3 and worried them.

Zavier was staring at them from the ship, Quincy then grumbled, " Oh come on! not that guy again.. ". Rose face palmed, who knows what trouble would they face now. Suzie then called out, " Is that... Mr. Riffraff?? "

Mr. Riffraff shouted over, " Ahoy pirates! Fancy seeing you 3 here! "

Their ships werent that far and the rain not being too loud made their words pretty hearable. Suzie then shouted back, " Fancy seeing us here? Like are you 2 also trying to get somewhere? "

Mr. Riffraff nodded, He was also cosplaying as a pirate crew. He said, " We were trying to get to an island not far from here to get the key. "
Zavier looked very irratated and then said, " But then this maniac made us act like we're pirates. "

Rose said, " Not gonna lie it fits y'all. "
" WHAT?! " Shouted Zavier angrily. He in particular wasnt wearing any extra cosplay, though Mr. Riffraff had made him wear a captain hat. He then took out a doodle capsule and released a doodle in the water, it was a Gomutt!

Rose then asked her friends, " What is he planning to do?.. " " Something we wouldnt like i think. " Replied Suzie from the side.

" Since we have met again, Why not hand those keys over to me? " Zavier asked over to Rose. Rose was the holder of 5 keys which she hasn't given up yet or given to doodle co.

" Why should I? " Said Rose, Its obvious she wont give them up right now. Zavier then said, " Well if thats how you want it then i have no other choice... Gomutt, Capsize! " He shouted to his doodle which was swimming in the water. Gomutt didnt waste any time and did what it was told, It rammed into Rose's and her friends ship causing it to tilt and make her and her friends slip back. Rose then stood up, regaining her balance and shouted, " I'm not giving up the keys without a fight! "

Rose took out a doodle capsule and released Zapoeira, " Zapoeira! Shock Gomutt! " Zapoeira nodded and shocked it causing it to retreat. It was clear to everyone that its time to battle. Zavier took out another doodle, it was Taryonix. Rose also took out her doodles to battle. And like this the battle started and went on, Once a doodle went down another got sent out. But after sometime Rose was struggling, her doodle were getting swept and her healing items were running out, she didnt buy many items. Zavier must be training his other doodles more after their last battle back at arid mines. She then noticed the Mr. Riffraff was also sending out his doodles to back up Zavier. This genuinly scared her, like who knows how long this battle may go on for.
Suddenly from the side she noticed Quincy releasing his doodles in the battle to help Rose.

This gave Rose relief, giving hope that she wont lose that easily. She then looked at Zavier and Mr. Riffraff with a determined smile, She had a plan that could distract them. She called over Garghoul who luckily didnt faint yet but was injured. She then told it, " Can you distract them? " Garghoul thought abit then nodded. It then flew over to Zavier and Mr. Riffraffs ship and grabbed Mr. Riffraff in attempt to distract him from battling. Due to Garghoul annoying Mr. Riffraff, his doodles werent getting any orders whatsoever and started to retreat or faint from battling. Suzie was looking at all this from the side as she had no doodle of her own, though infact she was helping the injured doodles heal, she took the healing items from Rose or Quincy.

Soon after sometime, Mr. Riffraffs doodles were down but the battling continued. During this the storm again picked up its strength causing stronger winds. Suddenly due to the electricity coming off from some of the spark type doodles in the battle caused a huge thunderbolt strike in between the 2 teams ships causing a huge wave and very bright light. Rose and her friends couldnt see anything from the storm, and from the sudden lighting so close caused Rose to slip back and hit her head with force causing her to lose consiousness and faint. (hehehehehh clicheness activated)

Sometime later...

Rose opened her eyes as she woke up, The weather was calm and the sun shone in the sky. She saw Suzie sitting infront of her, " Heyy you're alive! I mean i knew you were- he he- " She smiled to see that Rose woke up. Suzie stood up and helped Rose also get up, " How long was I out for exactly? " Asked Rose, Her head was sorta hurting from hitting it before. Suzie answered, " Hmm not sure, we also went out like a light after you slipped away. But we were the first to get up and you woke up not too long after. "

Luckily, Due to the storm, Zavier and Mr. Riffraffs ship got off course as they were out of sight.

Suzie had changed her outfit to her regular outfit not long ago. The cosplay outfit got wet from the rain. Rose looked at Quincy who was sitting with his doodles, He also changed from that pirate outfit. Rose thought she should also change her outfit out, She didnt want risk catching a cold.

Soon Rose also changed back to her regular outfit. She healed back her doodles to full health. They have set the ship to go the right direction as it also went off course from the storm.

Rose then sat with her friends as they chattered about the recent encounter. And it looked like they are still far away from their destination, so they will still be traveling across the sea for sometime. Let's now hope thet arrive to their destination safely and get the key...
