Chapter Text

Peter finally has a day off and hates being cooped up in his tiny apartment so he decides to take a walk. Most of the time, even on weekends he has some kind of work to do, grading papers, going to different labs to help with student projects, etc. He does this to himself, not everyone is this hands-on with their students projects and course-work but he really believes in the work he is doing. Honestly he doesn’t have much time for any sort of social life. Unfortunately he’s been pretty distant with most of the people in his life the last few years, so he doesn’t really have people to hang out with. He sees Deadpool most nights, and tries to see Aunt May at least once a month. Other than that though, he’s pretty lonely. Being in his apartment for a full day will only remind him of that fact. So he throws on a light blue hoodie, some jeans, his beat up sneakers, and he sets out into the city.

Peter doesn’t really have a plan of what he’s going to do or where he’s going but he hopes maybe it will come to him once he’s outside.

He walks for a bit, checking his phone every once in a while. It’s not like anyone texts him or anything, he mostly just wants something to do with his hands. One of the times he opens up instagram and scrolls while walking. There’s nothing incredibly interesting on Instagram right now but that doesn’t stop him from being completely unaware of his surroundings. The next thing he knows he’s ramming into the back of a large stranger. “Oh shit, sorry!”

Peter looks up and sees red, a lot of red. Black too. Peter realizes he’s just ran into Deadpool, his sort-of best friend/colleague/mercenary/man he maybe has a tiny crush on. Deadpool turns around and the lenses on his mask go impossibly wide when he sees Peter. He’s quiet for a bit. It’s almost eerie to Peter because Wade is always talking. Peter gets really nervous. Does Wade somehow know who I am?

Meanwhile all that’s running through Deadpool’s head is a blaring alarm screaming about how hot this guy is. I mean, messy brown hair, big beautiful brown eyes, the freckles. Oh god, am I scaring this guy? The man who ran into him is looking up at him like a deer in headlights. Wade thinks that he has to say something fast. He shakes his head a bit to clear it and -

“Hey there sweet thang!” Deadpool goes to casually lean against the wall in a cool and sexy way but underestimates how far away the wall is and loses his balance a bit, stumbling forward. “I’m Deadpool!” He says, trying to play it off as him trying to reach for a handshake. “But - uh- you can call me the man of your dreams”

Peter giggles at the awkward display coming from the man who he knows is normally not so flustered. Peter then reaches for the hand that Deadpool offered him and shakes it quickly.

“Peter”

Regaining his confidence, as Peter goes to pull away from the handshake, Deadpool grabs Peters wrist pulling him forward a bit too harshly. At the same time he pulls forward Deadpool turns his body in the same direction as Peter and slings an arm over the shorter man’s shoulder, stabilizing him.

Deadpool looks down at Peter from right beside him. “Tell me Peter, what’s it gonna take for me to get your number? Cause let me tell you, I’d probably do anything, and I mean it! Need me to buy you a coffee? A drink? A meal? I’ll let you hold my gun .. I’ll let you hold something else too ;).. Mow your lawn??” Deadpool’s voice gets lower and darker as he leans in to say “need me to kill someone for you?”

Again Peter finds himself giggling, it’s funny that Deadpool is giving Peter the same kind of attention he gives Spiderman. It’s even funnier that Peter is so into it. A smile is stuck on his face as he gives into the flirting (blissfully ignoring Deadpool’s offer to murder someone for him) something he never lets Spiderman do.

“Hmm, a coffee sounds good, and if you’re a perfect gentleman, I might consider giving you my number.” Peter replies, tapping his chin.

“I’ll give it my best shot! To the coffee shop!” Deadpool says entirely too loud as he steers Peter toward a nearby cafe.

It was a short distance to the cafe, but Deadpool doesn’t stop talking the whole way. Rambling on about how he doesn’t usually drink coffee because it doesn’t do much to him but sometimes he enjoys the flavor, then bouncing to semi-related topics, like breakfast foods, which leads to a comment about how bagels are like beer and donuts are like wine. Which Peter doesn’t fully get but can understand the thought process. Peter is so used to listening to Deadpool ramble that he sort of tunes it out at this point, which kind of sounds mean but if you heard how much the Merc talks you would too. By the time they reach the door to the cafe Wade is on some tangent about how Raccoons are way too cute to be as vicious as they are and that he would really like to be bitten by a radioactive raccoon and become raccoon-man, though he doesn’t want to steal SpiderMan’s whole schtick so he’ll stick with just his healing factor.

Peter tenses up at his casual mention of Spiderman, but Wade doesn’t seem to notice because his arm slides off Peter to open the door to the cafe.

Deadpool opens the door dramatically, and gestures for Peter to walk in first. “M’lady”

“Oh how kind of you sir! Such a gentleman!” Peter says in a silly high pitched voice but with very sarcastic undertones. He walks in and Deadpool follows close behind.

“Order anything you want Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater! I’ll buy the whole menu two times over if it means I get to keep looking at your sweet face.” Deadpool says cheerfully, sliding up right next to Peter again and reaching out to boop Peter’s nose.

This is not the first time that Deadpool has tried to boop his nose, but Spiderman usually dodges or smacks Wade’s hand away before the boop gets a chance to land. Peter doesn’t do either of those things, he just, lets it happen, and honestly it’s really fucking cute.

“Just a small iced coffee and an everything bagel please” Peter tells the cashier taking their order.

“Aaaand I’ll have the same thing, but I need lots of cream, please and thank you!” Deadpool takes out his wallet and pulls out quite a bit of cash. He hands two twenties to the cashier and tells her to keep the change. Wade then leans into Peter a whispers “you can have some cream too if you catch my drift…” Deadpool pauses. “ Oh shit, that wasn’t very gentleman-like. Can I have a take back on that comment, and it doesn’t get counted against me? Please”

“I’ll allow a take back for that comment, but you only get one so you’re on thin ice Deadpool.” Peter tries to look stern but honestly the comment didn’t bother him, in fact it made him blush a bit. Something Peter is thankful Deadpool didn’t comment on.

Peter and Deadpool find a table in the cafe to wait for their order. The store is not that busy for a Saturday afternoon so they find a spot easily. Once they sit down it starts sinking in to Peter that he’s sat in a cafe with the man he considers to be his best friend. Only, his best friend doesn’t even know it’s him. A wave an anxiety washes over him. He realizes he has to be pretty careful about what he says or Deadpool will find out.
The thing is, Peter knows that Deadpool has a thing for Spiderman. Well.. he doesn’t exactly know? Deadpool definitely comes onto Spiderman a lot, but over the year he’s known Wade, he can’t really tell if the Merc is actually into Spiderman or if he’s joking. Sometimes the man is so hard to read. All Peter knows is that over that time he’s definitely started to have a thing for the Merc. Of course Spiderman would never do anything about it, he wants to try and keep the relationship professional, especially because Deadpool can be really useful during patrol, and he’s grown really fond of his constant need to fill silences. It helps keep Peter’s brain occupied on slow nights. However the biggest reason Spiderman never made a move is just because he wasn’t actually sure that Deadpool would like Peter Parker. Spiderman is cool, confident, and wears a tight spandex suit. Peter Parker is, well, Peter has always considered himself kind of boring. Finding out the man he’s been slowly falling for doesn’t like the man under the mask would be crushing. That’s the driving factor for why he hasn’t revealed his secret identity to Wade. He wants to keep the facade that he’s actually cool and desirable.
Yet here he is, on a, sort-of date (?) with Wade. Apparently he does like Peter Parker. Apparently he also catches onto the anxiety that Peter is feeling -

“You okay handsome? You look like you just remembered you left the oven on. If you don’t have time to hang out with lil ol’me, don’t let me steal you away from whatever’s stressing you out. I can just take your number now and we’ll call it even for you ditching me.” The last part came out as flirty as ever and was accentuated by a wink through Deadpool’s mask.

“Oh! No!” Peter fixes his face the best he can. “You’re good! I actually have plenty of time today. You can steal as much as you want. I was just thinking about a … work … related.. thing? “ Peter didn’t sound convincing but it wasn’t really lying, he considers Spiderman-ing a job of sorts.

“No friends to hang out with on a Saturday? Rather be spending your time with a dangerously-armed-masked man?”

“I generally try to spend at least one Saturday a month with a dangerously-armed-masked man. That’s not how you spend your Saturdays?” Peter joked.

“Ah you see, being a dangerously-armed-masked man kind of means I spend everyday with a dangerously-armed-masked man. Voices in my head and whatnot. This is the first I’ve spent with a dangerously-attractive-definitely-too-cute-for-me-unmasked civilian though.”

“I think we’ve said dangerously-armed-masked-man one too many times”

“You’re right freckles, you can call me Wade”

“Okay Wade, it’s nice to meet you. I thought you told me to call you ‘the man of my dreams’.” Peter puts dramatic emphasis on ‘the man of my dreams’ to poke fun at how cheesy that pick up line was.

Wade laughs, “I’ll settle for that too, something tells me I have to earn that title though”

“Well you’re doing a great job so far.” Peter flirts back.

Wade and Peter eventually get their order and they sit back down. The conversation between them flows so naturally, like two very close friends. Well, they kind of are close friends, but Wade doesn’t know that. Though the conversations between Deadpool and Spiderman are a little different from the conversation happening between Peter and Wade right now. Peter is a lot more receptive to Wade’s flirting, and even flirts back. They fall into a comfortable rhythm. Peter always loves how easy Wade is to talk to. They flirt, tell jokes, laugh, and share small touches above the table. Soon minutes turn into hours, and a couple more cups of coffee, all on Wade’s dime (not that he minds of course).

Wade never actually ate his food in front of Peter. He slipped a few bites of the bagel under his mask, and had eaten a large majority of it when Peter had gotten up to go to the restroom. As for the iced coffee, the straw was long enough to awkwardly push under his mask and drink through. Peter can only assume that it is because he didn’t want him to know about his scars. He only knows because Spidey knows. For a long time Wade would turn his head to the side and slip his mask up discreetly to take bites of food, then pull it back down to face Spiderman. One day Spiderman had accidentally seen the scars due to an injury Deadpool had from one of their fights. After that Wade was less careful about hiding them, still never showing his full face.

They both could sit there for forever but it’s starting to come time for Deadpool to actually meet up with Spiderman for patrol. Plus the little cafe is closing very soon so they decide they need to wrap it up, after Peter makes a lame excuse about where he has to be. They walk outside the cafe and stand on the street facing each other.

“Well pretty boy, to say I’m smitten is an understatement, and I want nothing more than to bring you back to my place. But! I promised to be a perfect gentleman. So! I will settle for your digits, the promise of a second date, and maybe a kiss on the cheek?” Wade holds out three fingers, counting them as he lists the things he’ll settle for.

“Woah, that’s a lot of asks big guy, last I checked, the only thing I offered was that I might give you my number.” Peter says back trying to give Wade a hard time, still in a very lighthearted tone.

Wade laughs and puts his hands up in surrender. “Okay okay, you’re right petey-pie, did I at least earn your number?”

“You did, and I will grant you a kiss on the cheek as well” Peter turn his head a little sticking out his cheek for Wade to kiss. Deadpool keeps his mask fully on, but leans down and places a peck on Peters cheek. “As for the second date, I think that’s something we can discuss over text. Give me your phone.”

Wade is visibly excited and rushes to grab his phone out of one of his pouches, almost dropping it. He opens it up and hands the phone over to Peter. Peter grabs the phone and notices the Spiderman wallpaper on his Home Screen. It makes him laugh internally.
Peter puts his number in and hands the phone back to Wade. “You can text me anytime.”

“Oh honey, you are soooo going to regret saying that. I am going to abuse the hell out of this number.”

“I look forward to it.” Peter winks “bye, Wade.” And he takes off in the direction of his apartment, he needs to get changed into his suit pretty quickly.

Wade just stands there where Peter left him. He replays moments from the last several hours in his head. He 100% was not expecting for the cutest guy he’s ever laid eyes on to be so receptive of him. Now I have that cute guy’s number? What the hell did I do to deserve this? His head swimming with so many thoughts about Peter, and how he can’t wait to see him again. Then he remembers that Peter most definitely will not like him once he sees his face. That thought makes him pretty sad but he kicks himself out of it after a second. At least he got to have this date with him, maybe he can stretch it out for a while before Peter wants to see his face. A huge smile is plastered on Wade’s face and he realizes he’s still just standing there in front of the cafe. He needs to meet Spiderman, Spidey is probably already waiting for him. Wade takes off towards the rooftop that he usually meets Spidey at, humming along to whatever song is playing in his head. On the way there he opens up Peter’s contact on his phone.

Chapter Text

Peter isn’t even all the way to his apartment when he feels his phone vibrate in his pocket - several times.

[unknown number] heyyy bb ;)

[unknown number] thanks 4 indulging me 2day \(^_^)/

[unknown number] ur super fcking crzy hot btw 🥵

[unknown number] will b thinkin bout u 2nite <3 <3

[PeteyPie] All good things I hope :)

Peter quickly changes Wade’s contact name in his phone as he runs up the stairs of his apartment complex.

[Wade] of corse

[Wade] those doe 👀s ‘n freckls will b in my dreamzz 💤

[Wade] spank bank material for dayzz 💦💦💦

Peter laughs, he’s got the number, he guesses that being a gentleman is out the window. Not that he really minds, Peter thinks it’s exciting to be wanted this much.

[PeteyPie] lol hope I’m more than just a pretty face :P

[Wade] fo sho, that ass if p nice as well ;)

[Wade] gotta go 4 2nite bb, TTYL

[Wade] <3 🍆💦

[PeteyPie] I’ll be waiting 👍

Peter changes into his Spider-man suit as quickly as possible and rushes out of his apartment. He’s definitely going to be a little late meeting Deadpool. Hopefully that won’t make this whole situation too obvious. Peter swings toward the building that they usually meet up at. Deadpool is already there waiting for him.

Deadpool is sitting on the ledge of the building, quietly singing to an upbeat song, kicking his feet out, and swaying his head. He must have a sixth sense for spidey, or maybe he just heard him coming. Because as soon as Spider-Man made it to the building Wade excitedly shot up from where he was sitting and faced Spiderman. “Heya Webs! I thought maybe you started without me!”

“Hey DP sorry, I got caught up so I’m a little late getting started today” Peter hoped Deadpool didn’t press about what he was doing because, Peter was a terrible liar.

“Oooh, you have a hot date Spidey? I know I did!”

Peter truly was not expecting Wade to bring up their coffee date to Spider-man. Now here comes some weird mental gymnastics of listening to Deadpool talk about a date they were both on and pretending not to know anything about it ? Why did I decide to do this?

“You -uh - had a date?”

“Yep! I think it went well actually. God webs, when I tell you this guy…” Deadpool huffs out a breath that says DAMN. “He’s got to be probably the most attractive man I’ve ever seen. Like I’m talking earth shattering beauty. He’s the kind of person you write poems and sing songs about.”

Peter blushes like crazy and thank god Deadpool can’t see it. “Uh - I -I’m really happy for you Pool.”

“You know you’re my one and only spidey-babe. But hey, a man can only flirt so much and get nothing in return before he has to take a hint. New guy is taking some of the heat off you. - Well, don’t feel relaxed for too long, it’s only a matter of time before this new guy wants to see my face. Then it will be game over - roll credits-  for sure. A guy can dream though.“ Deadpool looks at the ground for a bit, his mask shows some of the sadness in his eyes. “Anyway, why did you say you were late?”

“I didn’t. Family stuff.” Does Deadpool really think Peter won't like him if he sees his face?  Peter (as Spidey) has only seen the bottom half of Wade’s face before, when they are eating food and talking after patrol. He’s also seen his hands on rare occasions. Peter knows that Wade’s body is covered completely in scars, but from what he’s seen, he really doesn’t mind them. They aren’t as grotesque as Deadpool seems to think they are. A little surprising at first, sure, but they just feel like him. “Also pool, I’m sure whoever this guy is won’t mind seeing your face, and honestly? If he does, he’s not worth your time.”

Deadpool stills for a second. “Wow webs, that sounded dangerously close to a compliment. You sure you’re not falling for me.” He lets out a laugh. “Incase you’ve forgotten, you also haven’t seen my face, sooo you have no idea just how unlovable this fugly mug is.”

Peter rolls his eyes, and hopes it translates through the mask. “ I’ve seen some of your face. Enough to know that you’re full of shit. Seriously DP I’m sure you look fine, this boy would be lucky to have you.”

There’s an awkward silence from Deadpool. He doesn’t really know how to process spidey being so nice to him. He usually just laughs along with his self deprecating comments, or brushes them off all together. “Whatever Webhead, why are you suddenly being so nice to me? You jealous of this mystery boy? I can ask him, maybe he’d be down for a threesome.

“Oh fuck off”

“There’s the Spidey I know!”

“Whatever, you ready to stop some bad guys?”

“Always.”

Patrol goes as smoothly as it could have. They fall into their natural rhythm. Spider-man and Deadpool always fight so well together, it’s like they always know what the other one is thinking. It’s not a super busy night. One small robbery, a couple muggings, one young woman who needed an escort home. Everything was mostly normal, but Peter noticed Deadpool was flirting with him significantly less. There weren’t as many inappropriate comments about his ass, he didn’t shoot Spiderman any lewd hand gestures, and he only called him baby-boy like one time. This had Spidey feeling a little conflicted. On one hand, he assumed Deadpool was doing this because he liked Peter so much, which was very flattering and honestly sweet. On the other hand, he kind of missed the constant sexual harassment? Spiderman was almost feeling jealous of Peter. Which didn’t make any sense cause he’s Peter. Or did I make Wade mad when he pushed about his scars?

They ended the night in the same way they always do, sitting on the roof with a bag of take out. Deadpool was talking about this song he listened to recently, which of course sent him on like 5 other tangents about things that were only marginally related to the original topic he was talking about. Peter tuned him out at some point but the background chatter was nice. He could sit comfortably and half-listen to Wade talk for the rest of his life he thinks. However, it’s getting late and Peter is getting tired. Wade never seems to get all that tired, but he can tell when Peter is.

“Hey Webs, you ready to call it for the night? I’m talking your ear off over here.”

“You always talk my ear off.” Peter mumbles back. “But yeah, all these sleepless nights are really catching up to me.”

“You gotta take care of yourself more. Can’t take care of the city if the little spider can’t even catch a wink of sleep.”

“Like I’m going to take advice from you. I’m fine.” Spidey very lightly punches Wade in the shoulder, more of a tap really. “Hey, uh, DP? Before we turn in, can I say something?”

“Oh god I’m not in trouble am I? I don’t know if I can handle daddy-spider getting on to me tonight.”

“No, I guess I just wanted to say thanks for being my friend.” Peter stands up from where he’s sitting. “I know you don’t know much about my life but you’re always a highlight of my day. Guess I don’t show it enough.” Peter shrugs and doesn’t wait for a response, he just dives from the building and swings off into the distance.

Wade heads to one of his safe houses.

Both boys try to get some sleep, separately replaying the events of the day over in their heads. If Wade touched himself thinking about Peter, that was between him and his right hand. And maybe god

Chapter Text

Peter woke up naturally. He opens his phone and blinks at his screen, still groggy. A text from Wade. His face suddenly feels warm. He thought about me first thing. It’s stupid and he feels like a little kid with a crush, Deadpool should definitely not be making him feel like this.

[Wade] mornin luv ⊂(♡⌂♡)⊃

[PeteyPie] good morning :)

[Wade] u sleep well bb ?? 💤💤

[PeteyPie] I slept okay, hbu?

[Wade] mm been thinkin bout u alllll nite

[Wade] cant get u off my mind sweethart 🍭❤️

The thought that Wade was in his bed thinking about him set his body on fire. Maybe Wade was just being flirty but Peter needed to hear more.

[PeteyPie] oh yeah? What exactly were you thinking about?

A reply didn’t come immediately, Peter started to feel a little weird. Maybe the text didn’t come off as seductive as I wanted it to? After a second he added-

[PeteyPie] ;) I know what I was thinking about…

God, he felt stupid typing that. But he still hit send anyway. What are you doing Parker ?  More silence. Maybe he overestimated what Deadpool thought about him. Bzz. Bzz. Bzz

[Wade] tryin 2 find a way 2 stay respectful bb. Ur makin it hard

[Wade] makin other thangz hard as well 🍆

[Wade] Ill tell u wut I was thinkin if u tell me 1st

Damn, he turned it around on Peter. Peter would be lying if he said he wasn’t thinking about Deadpool in a certain type of way. The way his suit hung on his body doesn’t leave anything up to the imagination. Peter doesn’t know if he is into really fit/muscular men, or if he is just into Deadpool. Honestly Peter only recently accepted that he’s bisexual, and it was all Wade’s fault. The way his biceps flexed in his suit made Peter drool. Of course Peter could easily overpower Wade, super strength and all, but he wanted those strong arms to hold him in place as the larger man did unspeakable things to him. Shit I’m taking too long to reply. He didn’t exactly know what to say. He’s not great at this over text. In person Wade has enough charisma for both parties, it oozes out of him, making it easy for Peter to say something back. Maybe he’ll just type something open ended. -

[PeteyPie] Just thinking about all the things you could do to me…

[Wade] oh ?

[Wade] wut things ? Im interested luv

Shit.

[PeteyPie] Mostly about your hands on me. Holding me down. Letting you do whatever you like..

[Wade] fuuuuk

[Wade] Petey is dirtier than I imagined 🤯🤯

[Wade] want me 2 b ruff wit u bb ?

[PeteyPie] … yes

[PeteyPie] Hey, you said you’d tell me what you were thinking of. So spill.

[Wade] y dont I just sho u ? ~(>_<~)

Peter’s heart started racing reading that text. Was Wade asking to hook up? Would Peter go through with this? It’s all been fantasy up till now.

[PeteyPie] I’m free today if you want to…

[Wade] wait ? …

[Wade] rlly?

Wade blinked at his phone. Man, he did NOT expect Peter to accept his offer. Maybe he should have, the boy was more than receptive to everything else. Fuck. If Peter comes over, he’s going to want to see his face. Or the rest of his body. Maybe it’s better to rip the bandaid off and deal with rejection now before he falls too hard for this angel of a man.

Meanwhile, Peter felt a little sad that Wade seems to have not meant what he said. Maybe he pushed Wade too far? Maybe Wade wanted to keep it light and flirty. Peter knows Wade is insecure.

[PeteyPie] Sorry, I mean I’m willing to wait. I didn’t mean to come off so strong.

[Wade] ur not cutie. Id luv 2 have u over. Maybe we can hang out and 👀 where it leads. 👉👌❓💦

[Wade] - Address

[Wade] free all day bb, let me kno <3

Wade sent his address. Peter knows he has several through the city. This one is in Queens, it’s actually not too far from him. Peter feels kind of lightheaded and floaty, he can’t believe that this is happening. He kind of wishes he wasn’t lying to his friend but at this point he’s too scared to tell Wade. And this is all too thrilling.

[PeteyPie] Hanging out sounds nice. I’ll be over soon.

Even though Peter just woke up, it’s actually not that early in the day. Wade sent the first text around 7am (when does this man find time to sleep) but Peter gave himself the luxury of sleeping in today. He didn’t see Wade’s text until around 11:40. It was nice to finally catch up on some sleep. Peter throws himself off the bed, and heads over to the bathroom. He decides that he should probably take a shower before going over to Wade’s. So he does. When he’s done he tries to find some decent clothes to wear, with no success. Not only does he need to do laundry, but he also just doesn’t own nice clothes. He settles for the same jeans as yesterday, and a simple T-shirt with a stupid science pun on it ‘I don’t trust atoms, they make everything up.’ Aunt May had gotten it for him on one of his birthdays. Peter pulls up the address, and starts walking.

Deadpool thought this man was fucking crazy for trusting him enough to come over to his house the day after they met. Wade looks around his apartment. Damn, i should clean up a bit before this guy gets here. Wade sighs. Not that he’s going to stay for long after he wrestles Wade out of his mask. Wade wasn’t in his full suit, but he had his mask and gloves on. The rest is covered by a hoodie that is oversized for even him, and some baggy jogger sweatpants. Fuzzy socks cover his feet. He cleans up a bit, making sure at least all the weapons are pushed into non-visible spots. He lightly scoots a gun under the couch. Pushes a set of katanas into the broom closet. The knives he has on the counter waiting to be sharpened get shoved into a drawer. There.. Now he looks like a civilized person.. sort of. As he’s thinking about if he has any snacks to feed Peter, and deciding maybe they will have to order doordash or something, he hears a timid knock on the door.

Chapter Text

Wade opens the door and is greeted with a big smile from Peter. Wade takes a second, looks Peter up and down, mask lenses widening and squinting as he looks him over. Just as pretty as I remember. Peter is starting to look uncomfortable and it’s cute. He notices Peter’s shirt, some goofy science shirt.

“Nerd” Deadpool says poking Peter in the chest right where the big atom figure is. Peter scrunches his face up and looks down at where Deadpool is pointing. Wade quickly moves his hand up, flicking Peter’s nose. “Gotcha.”

He laughs entirely too hard for the childish prank he just pulled. His head falling back and shoulders bouncing. He wipes a fake tear from his masked eye.  It was the surprised and almost angry look on Peter's face that made him laugh so hard. Fuck he’s cute when he’s angry, I’ve gotta keep that in mind. Wade very suddenly grabs Peter's shoulder and yanks him inside his apartment.

“Welcome to Casa De Deadpool Petey! Make yourself at home! What’s mine is yours and all that jazz.” Wade steps in front of Peter escorting him through the kitchen into the living room area. It’s all open concept so it’s not far to travel. “Hey, I have something for you.”

“You do?” Peter knows Deadpool well enough to know that sentence should scare him a little.

“Yeah.” Wade picks up his wallet from the counter, flips through some cards, cash, and crumpled receipts. He finds what he’s looking for with a quiet ‘ah-ha’ and flips the card over, passing it to Peter with two fingers.

It’s a library card? Peter slowly grabs the card, very confused. He looks at it, Wade W. Wilson. The card is VERY expired, and not even for a library in New York. “Wha-“ Peter’s question is cut off.

“Library card! Cause I am checking. you. out. Handsome!” Deadpool has a goofy smile so big that Peter can make it out through the mask.

Peter laughs at that, blushing slightly. He doesn’t know what he was expecting but a cheesy pickup line makes sense for Wade. “You’re not getting this back. Wilson.”

This is actually Peter’s first time learning Wade’s last name. Not that Wade was really keeping it a secret from even Spider-man, it just never came up. Peter slides the card into his back pocket.

“Eh. Don’t need it.” Deadpool shrugs. “I’m being a terrible host. Do you need anything? Water? I don’t have much food, so I figured I’d order us something if we got hungry. It’s getting to be lunch time, have you eaten anything?”

“Not yet.”

“Petey-Pie” Deadpool pouts. “No breakfast for you baby? What do you like? I can order you anything.”

They talk about it and land on ordering Indian food. Wade orders entirely too much food, telling Peter about how his healing factor makes his metabolism crazy high and he can PUT DOWN some Indian food. Peter knows what he’s talking about. Spiderman and Deadpool usually share mass quantities of takeout when they eat together. Which is usually good for Peter because he forgets to eat a lot of the time.

Once the food is ordered the boys go to settle on the couch. Wade sits down and as Peter starts walking to the opposite side of the couch, Wade grabs his hips and pulls him closer. Peter stumbles at the sudden pull, nearly landing on Wade’s lap. At the last second he regains enough balance to just slide right next to Wade. One of his gloved hands still holding Peter’s outside hip, and the other resting on his stomach now. Very softly moving up and down. Peter feels so warm at the contact. Wade’s hands are big and they hold him so perfectly.

“This okay love?” Wade asks closer to his ear in a low gravely voice, as he holds Peter a little tighter to him. That sends a shiver through Peter’s body.

Peter nods, his face feels hot. That voice.

“Whatcha wanna watch Petey?” Deadpool's voice is cheery again.

“Hmm something funny.” Peter says mocking a ‘thinking hard’ face, hoping that Wade will just decide for them

“Princess bride?” Wade offers.

“One of my favorites!”

“Pete, you’re going to make me fall in love with you.”

Peter doesn’t know that liking a movie warrants falling in love with someone but he’s not going to argue. “That’s the goal, big guy.”

Deadpool mumbles something about The Princess Bride probably being the fanfic writer’s favorite movie as well. Peter never really knows what he’s talking about when he says stuff like this but always lets it slide. Wade cues up the movie but they wait until the food arrives to press play. It doesn’t take long, before there’s a knock at the door and Wade unwraps his arm from around Peter. Peter stays on the couch while Wade goes to grab the food. When he comes back with the food the Merc sets everything on the coffee table, sits back down and stares straight ahead not saying anything.

Wade had decided in the time it took to get the food that he was just going to let Peter know about his scars. Spidey was right, if Peter can’t handle the scars then this isn’t going to work out.

Wade turned to Peter after some time. “So. I have this … skin .. condition.” He breathes out harshly and continues. “It’s not very pretty to look at. Honestly I wouldn’t be mad at you if you decide to leave right after I show you. I should have mentioned it sooner but honestly I was going to try and wait longer because I really like hanging out with you. Like I said no hard feelings if you want to leave because I understand. Just tell me upfront if you can’t handle it, befo-“

“Wade.” Peter cuts Wade off with his hand lightly over his masked mouth. Not enough to actually cut Wade off but he got the hint, maybe he was spiraling a bit and was about to start talking himself in circles.

Peter’s hand slides off his mouth and goes to hook his fingers under Deadpool’s mask. Very slowly he rolls up the mask to his nose. Peter does what he’s wanted to do since the first time he saw Wade’s scars. He very lightly brushes his fingers across the scars along Wade’s jawline. He feels the soft parts of the skin mixed with the rough scar tissue. The way it dips and raises. He takes in, for the first time in full lighting, the different colors of the patterns on his skin.

“Is it all over?” Peter asks, knowing the answer.

Deadpool’s voice is so quiet in response that without Peter’s enhanced senses, he might not have been able to make out what he said. “Yeah. Everywhere.”

“Can I, see your eyes too?” looking for permission to pull the mask the rest of the way off, Peter’s fingers hover where the mask is sat on his nose.

Wade just nods in response.

Peter grabs the mask and pulls it the rest of the way off. He feels bad that Spider-man is also seeing Wade’s face. Peter got permission but Spidey didn’t, so he doesn’t know how this feels morally. It feels like he’s taking advantage of his friend. But he really wants to see Wade's face so he ignores the guilty feeling.

Wow. Wade has electric blue eyes. Nice face structure too. The scars are not so bad and honestly, even if they were, it’s still pretty obvious that Wade is a very handsome man. Sharp jawline, nose with a slight bump on the bridge, good cheekbones, bright eyes (even right now as he’s visibly anxious). It’s honestly a shame that Wade finds himself so ugly. Peter traces his thumb down the bridge of Wade’s nose while he cups the side of his face with the rest of his hand.

“You gonna say somethin’ sweetheart or do I just have to sit here and wait for you to tell me how bad it is?” Wade tries to push for his normal cheery/joking tone but fails.

“You’re beautiful Wade.”

“Fuck off.” Wade seems genuinely angry. He pushes Peters hand off him, turns away, and goes to stand up.

Before he can get very far off the couch, Peter grabs his shoulders and yanks him back down with a force that maybe a normal civilian wouldn’t have… Wade looks a little surprised by how forcefully he was dragged down.

“I’m serious, listen to me. If you want me to walk out that door, I will. But I’m not going to leave without telling you that I genuinely think you’re attractive. The scars don’t bother me at all. I need you to believe me on that.” Peter tries to sound a little stern when saying this so his sincerity is properly expressed.

Wade looks actually surprised now, but it seems like he believes Peter at least a little. “You’re - -  actually not joking.” More of a statement of realization instead of a question.

Peter doesn’t respond with words but he leans forward for a kiss. Hands leaning on Wade thigh and closing his eyes. He gets so close that their lips do brush against each other but waits for Wade to offer a full-on kiss. Peter hovers there for a second while Wade’s brain does a mini reboot. All at once Wade grabs Peter and pushes them together, kissing him with passion. Wade grabs the nape of Peter’s neck with one hand and pulls Peter toward him by his hip with the other. Peter’s hands move to stabilize himself just below Wade’s pecks as he’s jolted forward by the sudden movement. They kiss for a couple moments longer when Wade pulls away. Peter leaning half on him.

“Sorry I just assumed you were being a dick.” The Merc mumbles.

“Promise to keep kissing me like that, and you’re forgiven.” Peter smiles, pecks Wade on the lips, and pulls away fully.

“Promise. Cross my heart Petey.” Wade mimes a little x over his heart with his finger. “There more where that came from.” He winks.

“Good, but let’s eat first, I’m starving and the food is just sitting here getting cold.”

They tear open the food and press play on the movie. Wade makes commentary the whole time, talking through the movie. Once the food is gone, Peter leans back into the larger man, half listening to him babble on about different things in the movie, with his arm slung around Peter’s shoulder, hand resting on his chest. Wade had taken his gloves off before they started eating so Peter reaches up to hold onto the scarred hand. He uses his fingers to massage the scars lightly, tracing the raised patterns on his skin. Deadpool’s fingers twitch slightly as he does this. They sit like this comfortably through the whole movie, Peter sometimes interjecting his own commentary or quoting lines from the movie out loud as they happen.

The movie ends and Deadpool leans to the side, crowding into Peter’s space. Nuzzling his face into the back of the boy’s shoulder. “I have Minecraft.” He says as an offer for what to do next.

Peter lights up, “oh sounds fun! Wanna place our beds together?”

Wade shoots up from the couch very quickly, jostling Peter. “Yes, yes I do, you romantic little shit.” He goes to turn on his console and switch the HDMI on the TV.

The boys play Minecraft for entirely too long. They do place their bed next to each other but not before arguing for a solid 30 minutes about what type of wood their house should be built with. They settle on cherry, which is Wade’s suggestion. Peter gave in after Wade said please in this low gravelly voice that made his face flush again and sent a shiver down his spine. Not good that Wade now knows what kind of powers that voice holds, hopefully he will only use it to get what he wants in Minecraft.

Time passes too fast, and when Peter starts to yawn it hits him very quickly that neither of them had been out on patrol tonight. Sometimes Deadpool skips out on patrol and Spiderman just does it without him. Wade probably thinks that Spiderman really won’t care that he didn’t show today. He doesn’t know that Spiderman also didn’t show up today. God I’m a fuck up, I spent all afternoon and most of the night playing Minecraft instead of being in the city I swore to protect. What time is it?

He pulls out his phone - 10:43 - he’s been over at Wade’s for so long. But it’s not too late, he can still get in a couple hours of patrolling done and maybe not feel so bad.

“Wade, I’m so sorry, I actually have to get going, it’s pretty late.”

“Sorry for keeping you so long PeteyPie.” Wade frowns. “You got a bedtime baby?”

“I uh - yeah. I have - like -  work in the morning and stuff - and well - I should just go.” Peter was panicking a little, he didn’t even know what for, it’s not like New York was going to fall apart if he wasn’t out there for a couple hours. Maybe he was nervous about Deadpool finding him out?

“Hey, take a breath, it’s okay, you want me to walk you home? You said you didn’t live far.”

Peter says no and Wade accepts that answer as long as he texts him when he’s home safe. A gesture that Peter thinks is cute. He agrees and Wade walks him to the door. They exchange goodbyes and Peter turns to leave. Last second, Wade pulls Peter into a hug from behind, bending over and wrapping his arms around the smaller man’s waist. He hugs tight, kissing between Peter’s shoulder blades and mumbling to him that he had fun today. Wade letting go felt like hell but he needed to get home. He turned quickly to tell the other man that he also had a great time and can’t wait to do it again before turning back and walking out the door.

Wade kept the door open and watched Peter walk out the front of the apartment building. He really does have a nice ass.

Chapter Text

Peter rushes back to his apartment and puts his suit on as quickly as possible. He remembers to shoot Wade a text before setting out for -a very late - patrol.

[PeteyPie] Home.

Wade messages back immediately, he already had it typed just waiting for Peter to text.

[Wade] have a good nite luv (๑♡⌓♡๑)

[PeteyPie] you too :)

Spiderman ventures out into the city. It’s an eerily quiet night. Maybe I should have just stayed at Wade’s. Peter swings around the city for a while, looking for anything to do. He eventually just settles on a rooftop, kicking his feet. He looks down at his hands and starts tracing the webbing on his fingers. Patrol is always more fun when Deadpool is around. The hero gets lost in his thoughts, thinking about Wade. He had such a nice time today, he was sure Wade was going to try and have sex with him by the way he was texting, they never got that far. Maybe Wade wants me to make the first move? Peter would have been fine with having sex but he also thought today was great and didn’t mind just hanging out. Wade is weirdly super sweet. He always kind of knew that, but Spider-man never gets to see that side of him. He likes that Peter is doing what Spider-Man never had the guts to. Wade is ... a moral gray area - he kills significantly less now, only kills really bad people, and never in New York anymore - but Spiderman still shouldn’t be as heavily involved with him as he is. Peter on the other hand..

He’s suddenly pulled from his thoughts by a large boom. That’s not good. Peter looks up to try and make sense of where the sound came from. Another explosion goes off, this time he is aware and can fully tell which direction he needs to go. Jumping into action, the spider swings toward the sound. It came from several blocks away. No other explosions go off.

When Spiderman gets to the scene, there’s rubble scattered and smoke coming from a building. A building he recognizes, it’s a small science research lab. He’s talked to a few of the scientists and interns that work in the lab, he’s even landed a few of his students internships there. Spider-man approaches cautiously, not really feeling like getting blown to pieces tonight. He doesn’t immediately see any people around. They could be inside, trying to steal something in the loudest way possible. Once he turns the corner of the building he is greeted by 3 large men, they seem to be standing watch, so Peter assumes there are more further inside.

“Hey guys, being a little loud dontcha think? People are trying to sleep.” He waves at the men, as he looks around trying to assess the situation and see how many other people there are. None in this room.

One of the men talks like he’s speaking into an earpiece. “We’ve got Spiderman here, we’ll distract him. “

“Distract me from what? - OH GOD WHAT IS THAT!?” Spider-man frantically points behind the men. They all turn their heads around. Right as they do he jumps into action, aiming a web on the ceiling above them, slinging himself into the man in the middle feet first, kicking him to the ground. We webs him to the ground and looks at the other two men. “Ha! Are you always that gullible?”

The men both reach for their guns. He webs one of the guy’s hand to his holster before he can even grab his gun. When he goes to try and pull his hand away Peter webs the other hand down, immobilizing his arms. The man just struggles uselessly against the webbing. In the time it takes, guy number three has his gun pointed right at Spider-man’s face.

“ Hey w-“ before Spiderman can finish his sentence a cheery voice rings out from the hole blown in the wall.

“Spider-Babe! Need any help?” Deadpool came out of nowhere, already having his gun out (loaded with rubber bullets) and fixed on the third guy. “Hey man, I really don’t like when other guys point guns at my spider.”

While the last guy is distracted by Deadpool, Spider-man shoots a web that sticks the goon’s gun to the wall. He webs up the two men still standing. Walking over to Deadpool who has put his gun away and is admiring Spidey’s work, he greets the Merc.

“Hey DP where did you come from? Assumed you weren’t going to be out tonight.”

“Totally got distracted by a super hot guy in my apartment. But then he left and I felt lonely so I came looking for my favorite Spider-themed-hero. Figured you’d be wherever the big booms were coming from.”

“Can’t believe I’m your favorite Spider-themed-hero. I’m really flattered considering how many of us there are.” Spiderman snorts a small laugh. “There’s a couple other guys in the other room I’m assuming, these knuckleheads were talking through an earpiece. Wanna take ‘em down?”

“What can I say? I’m a man of great taste.” Deadpool shrugs before pulling his katanas from his back. “Let’s get these bitches”

There are three more men in the next room, looking like they are trying to steal some equipment, like Peter had assumed. Who goes to steal some boring science equipment with big ass bombs? The masked duo easily take down and web up the three men before calling the police and fleeing the scene.

They spend the rest of the night on a random roof, Deadpool buys them dinner like usual. There’s only so many places open this late at night so they tend to eat the same things over and over again. Neither of them mind though. They talk, poking fun at the men they just took down. The rest of the night is uneventful, and they turn in around 2:30am, going their separate ways.

Chapter 6

Notes:

Smut in this chapter, nothing crazy, just a blowie.
You can end at Peter saying “doesn’t matter to me” if you wanna skip it.

Chapter Text

Peter wakes up to his alarm blaring. 7am, he teaches his first class at 8am so he has a little time to get ready. 4 hours of sleep. That’s okay, right? Ugh. He gets ready for work and heads out, forgetting to eat breakfast, but he remembers the important stuff. Brushed teeth. Check. Wearing clothes. Check. Wallet + Keys. Check. Laptop. Check. Okay. Let’s go.

The day drags on, going a little slower than usual. He keeps checking his phone thinking maybe Wade would text. Nothing. God I’m like a school girl, I need to focus on work. On Mondays and Wednesdays last his class ends at 3, which gives him time to grade papers and do lesson plans before patrol in the evening.

Night time rolls around and he gets his suit on. Still no text from Wade. Did I do something? Should I text him first? I’ll worry about this later. Deadpool meets him for patrol and nothing seems off. He’s his normal energetic, bouncing off the walls, talkative self. As a change of pace, tonight is extremely busy. Nothing too crazy though, no big villains or anything, just a lot of small stuff. Break-ins, robberies, muggings, the usual. The duo ends the night like they always do, takeout on a roof. The conversation is just Deadpool rambling about a movie he’s watched recently.

Deadpool is actually the one who calls it early for the night. He gets up, says bye to Spider-man, and makes his way down the fire escape.

It’s 1:43am, definitely an early night for them but he’s thankful he’ll get a little extra sleep tonight. As soon as he gets home and gets out of his suit, he hears his phone buzz. Peter lights up immediately, knowing the only person who would be texting is Wade. I should not be getting this excited over a text.

[Wade] heyyy bb u awake ?? ☺️

[PeteyPie] yeah actually.

[Wade] Jeez !? Y r u awake ??

[PeteyPie] you’re also awake right now dork

[Wade] I hav reasons.

[Wade] want 2 cum over ? (^_<)

[Wade] no funny biz unless u want 🙏 mite git handsy tho ✋🤚

[Wade] need cuddlez

[PeteyPie] sure.

[Wade] :O

[Wade] can’t wait 2 see u 🫶

Peter puts together a bag, he assumes he’s staying the night if Wade ‘wants cuddlez’ so he needs clothes for work in the morning and his laptop. Peter finds the way Wade texts mildly annoying, though everything about the Merc is mildly annoying, that’s just who he is. Peter has gotten used to it over the - little over - year he’s known Deadpool but this is the first stretch of time that he’s texted with him. He guesses he’ll get used to the text speech, purposely misspelled words, and aggravating amount of emoticons at some point too. Peter makes the walk to Wade house, and knocks on his door.

When Wade opens the door he is greeted by Peter smiling up at him. Fuck he’s pretty. Is he real? The Merc’s eyes immediately drift to the satchel that Peter is carrying with him. “Packed an overnight bag baby? I’ve got stuff here you can use.”

“I just have work in the morning, so I brought a change of clothes and my laptop.”

“Oh, you didn’t have to come over sweetheart.” Wade chuckles lightly and crowds in the doorway, grabbing Peter by the hip with one hand, pulling him close. “Sorry Dr. professor sir. Kinda forgot people work regular jobs ”

“Haha, not everyone wants to murder for a living.” The sass oozes out of Peter as he rolls his eyes.

“Wow. okay, Pete, I thought my job was kinda sexy.”

“Not sure that I think bullet wounds are sexy.”

“You’re starting to sound a little like Spidey. I love the guy, but it kind of harshes my cool and sexy, mysterious masked mercenary vibes.”

“Not sure Spiderman is the only person who’s opposed to murder.” Peter rolls his eyes again, finally looking past the larger man. “Can I come inside or not?”

“Of course my love.” Wade hand wraps around Peter’s lower back as he moves to the side and pushes him inside.

“You know I’m honestly surprised you haven’t brought Spider-man up yet. I don’t know, I feel like every interaction I have with a civilian is a means to talk about my relation to ol’Spideyboy.” Wade says candidly, walking into the living room.

That makes Peter a little sad. The man can’t have an interaction with someone without Spider-man coming up? He must be exaggerating.. though Spider-man does have a sort of fanbase. He doesn’t really think the mercenary has the same reputation, probably a little more now that he’s been working with Spider-man. “I don’t know, I guess I just don’t think about him?”

“Not trying to get into that tight spandex Pete?” Wade mimes grabbing someone’s ass and looks over to Peter.

“Leather is more my type” Peter tries to steer the conversation away from Spiderman. He still feels a little uneasy about lying to Wade but the fear of telling him is stronger.

“I can get behind that.” Wade moves closer, his scarred hands are on Peter’s hips again. A couple fingers delicately reach under his shirt and rest there. “Don’t know if the world would be able to function if the two hottest twinks got together.”

Peter scrunches his face up at the word. “I am not a twink”

“Fine, wanna go to the bedroom? Twunk?” Wade turns his head to the side when he says twunk. He’s trying to annoy Peter a little and it looks like it’s working because Peter furrows his brow even more.

“You don’t get to call me that either. Let’s go.” Dropping his glare for a softer expression.

Wade smiles wide before he roughly spins Peter around and grabs onto his shoulders steering him to the bedroom. They get into the room and Peter looks around, it’s pretty plain - closet, dresser, bed, nightstand, small pile of clothes on the floor- that’s it. Not that Peter’s place is any more decorated.

Wade leans down to Peters ear and quietly asks “Big spoon or little spoon?”

“Doesn’t matter to me.” Peter has only ever been the big spoon and he doesn’t mind it, he also wouldn’t mind if Wade was the big spoon and wrapped his huge arms about him. Honestly he might prefer being the little spoon, he wants Wade’s hands all over him.

Like he could read Peter's mind Wade, still standing behind Peter, drops his hands from the shorter man’s shoulders and starts rubbing them down his torso. His hands find the bottom of Peter’s shirt and slide under. He rests his head in Peter’s neck and gently explores his stomach and chest.

Wade’s scarred hands light Peter’s body on fire. His breathing quickens. He wants Wade’s hands to push a little harder, go a little lower.

“Damn, you’re hiding some serious muscles in this little nerd body. You okay with this so far baby?”

Peter nods fast. “Yes, please keep going.”

“Good.” Wade says this in the same low tone that made him give up their fight when they were playing Minecraft. Peter thinks that he would probably listen to anything Wade said if he keeps talking like that. It makes Peter shiver and with their backs pressed together the mercenary feels it. Wade is only encouraged by Peter’s physical response, he wants to make him shake more, needs to hear him too. He starts to kiss the man’s body, he lets his teeth graze the base of his neck. A small quick gasp escapes Peter, making Wade smile against Peter’s neck before saying “good boy.” in the same voice as before. Kissing his neck some more. His hands haven’t stopped lightly pressing all over the man’s torso.

Peter doesn’t know if he has a praise kink or if it’s just Wade, but hearing Wade call him a good boy pulls a quiet moan from him. He wants Wade to do more, to just be completely consumed by Wade’s hands and mouth.

Suddenly though Wade’s hands are off of him and he is being pushed forward lightly. “Get on the bed, love.”

Peter feels empty without those big rough hands on him. He does as he’s told, but he doesn’t know exactly how Wade wants him on the bed, so he settles for sitting on the edge.

Honestly Wade wasn’t sure how Peter was going to take the command of getting on the bed either. He was just going to follow his lead once he placed himself there. Peter sitting on the edge is actually perfect. Wade moves forward, stopping right in front of Peter.  He grabs Peter’s face, and leans down to kiss him. It’s slow and full of desire. When Wade taps the inside of Peter’s ankles with his feet, he’s pleasantly surprised at how quickly and obediently the man took the hint to open his legs. With his spot freed up, Wade breaks their kiss and slides down to his knees in between the open legs.

Now it’s Peter who is looking down at Wade. He feels hands on his waist again. Then they slowly slide lower to Peter’s thighs, giving a quick squeeze. Peter feels his breath get caught in his throat. He’ll let Wade do whatever he wants to him. So when one of Wade’s hands slides up to Peter’s erection and he looks up to him asking for permission, Peter nods so fast. “Yes. Yes please.”

With permission Wade presses harder into Peter’s dick, making both of them moan. Wade is so excited about how hard Peter is for him, and Peter is chasing the pressure on his dick. “Let’s get these pants off baby boy. Sound good? You okay with how this is going? Want me to suck your dick, baby?”

“Yes yes yes please.” Peter's voice comes out as a whine, which normally would embarrass him but right now he couldn’t care less. He doesn’t think he has ever been so turned on by someone before. Peter lifts up a bit so that Wade can slide his pants and boxers down. Wade does both in one quick movement.

“So good for me.” Wade looks down at Peter’s feet helping him kick off the pants completely. “Boxers guy huh? Not judging, I’m just a boxer-briefs man myself. Don’t they get all bunched up in your pants?”

An interesting choice of conversation to have right before he’s about to get his dick sucked, but Peter bites. “Yeah I guess, it never bothers me too much though. More room to breathe.”

Deadpool shrugs, “okay” he says right before licking his hand and wrapping it around Peter’s dick.

Peter moans at the sudden unexpected action and looks down at Wade. Wade is laser focused on Peter’s cock, slowly pumping it in his fist. His mouth hangs slightly open and he licks his lips.

Looking up, making eye contact, Wade says “I don’t have a gag reflex Pete, if you feel the need to grab me, you can go as hard as you want, I’m serious.”

Before Peter can respond and say that he doesn’t want to hurt him, that thought is pushed away because Wade’s mouth is on his dick. At first just the tip, the Mercs tongue swirling around expertly causing Peter’s breathing to quicken and punching out the occasional whimper. He stays like this for way longer than Peter wants him too, slowly teasing him with his tongue.

Finally Wade starts to slowly slide down his dick. Pooling his saliva and adjusting his mouth to the length as he moves down. Once Wade takes it all to the base he stays still for a second. Peter is panting at this point waiting for Wade to start moving, but he doesn’t. Peter’s hands now rest on top of Wade’s hands clinging to his upper thigh. He squeezes Wade’s hands tightly hoping it will urge him to move. “Fuck Wade, please.” He sounds so desperate but didn’t have time to feel the embarrassment because the man below him immediately starts moving.

Wade pulls back on Peter’s dick slowly regaining the ability to breathe, not that it really matters to him right now. Right after he reaches the top and flicks his tongue across the tip, he starts to slowly glide back down, having Peter hit the back of his throat. Wade moves at a torturously slow pace, savoring every moment and tasting Peter as much as he can. Listening to Peter’s soft whimpers.

Peter can’t take the slow pace anymore and before he has any time to think about it, he grabs onto Wade’s head and pushes down fast, definitely harder than intended. Peter’s action pulls a loud rugged moan from Wade, only slightly muffled by the dick hitting his tonsils. Peter didn’t realize how much the man below him was enjoying this until he heard that. Wade grip tightens around his thighs, it’s only then that Peter realizes he is still holding his head in place. Peter starts to move Wade's head, at a quicker pace than before but still being gentle with the Merc.

Wade lets his jaw rest open so that Peter has better access to fuck his face. He lets the drool roll out of him, making everything a little sloppy and it feels so good for all parties involved. They both moan desperately every time Peter bottoms out hitting Wade’s throat. The vibrations when Wade makes noises only bring Peter closer to the edge.

Peter is starting to lose what little control he felt like he had and is slamming Wade’s head down faster and harder. The wet noises coming from the mercs mouth are truly something beautiful. His orgasm is going to come very quickly if he keeps up this rhythm. He becomes less consistent with his pacing and tries to warn Wade what’s coming. “Wade  .. I - fuck “

Wade’s hands tighten on him even more, most likely leaving fingertip shaped bruises. The slight pain mixed with everything else sends him over the edge. He grabs Wade’s head harder and holds him down as his dick twitches in Wade’s throat forcing him to take it all. He feels Wade’s throat spasm on his dick as he works to swallow everything. A little bit of cum bursting out the sides of Wade’s mouth as he slowly comes down from his orgasm. He moves his hand away from Wade’s head allowing him to come up.

Wade pulls himself off of Peter’s dick, gasping for air. Peter takes some of the cum rolling out the sides of his mouth, scoops it up with his thumb and pushes it into Wade’s still open mouth. Wade makes a strangled whining noise as he does this.

“Fuck Peteypie, you’re perfect, that was perfect. Everything I wanted. You’re so good. So so good, baby.” His voice is wrecked. Halfway through talking he rests his head on Peter’s thigh, trying to even out his breathing. “Let’s get some boxers back on you, but can you take off the shirt?”

“Wait, you don’t want me to… you know ? “

“Nah, you’re good, baby boy, you’ve got work in the morning, I don’t need to keep you up any longer. I’ll be fine. Promise.” Wade does the same little x over his heart gesture as the last time they hung out.

Peter can’t argue with the fact that he’s really tired. So he does what Wade requested, he takes his shirt off and puts his boxers back on. All while Wade heads to the bathroom to clean his face up. He meets Wade in the bathroom, where the man is brushing his teeth for bed. Wade stills the toothbrush in his mouth and reaches over to hand Peter a new, unopened toothbrush. He takes it, starting to brush his teeth next to Wade, looking at the two of them in the mirror. We make a really cute couple. As if Wade can hear what he’s thinking, he smiles at Peter in the mirror then swings his hip to the side tapping Peter lightly. He smiles back. Peter can’t help but wonder if Wade wants to be in a relationship.. you know .. with him? He doesn’t really know if Wade is the type to be in a committed relationship, they haven’t talked about it, as Spidey or as Peter. Maybe this was a hit it and quit it type of thing? Or just FWB? Those thoughts make Peter sad. What makes him even sadder is that he started the relationship off with a lie. Though he’s really not sure that things would be the same if he was open with Wade from the beginning. It could have been awkward, he actually really likes that Wade met Peter without knowing about Spider-man, it makes it feel more real and authentic.

They finish up in the bathroom and head back to the room. Peter flops down on the bed on his back. Wade comes right up next to him.

“I’m big spoon Mr. Professor.” Wade waits for Peter to take the hint and roll to his side. He wraps his arm around Peter as tight as possible, squeezing for a moment before loosening his grip. He nuzzles his face in between Peter's shoulder blades and curls up behind him.

Peter is lulled to sleep by the nice pressure of Wade's bulky arms and the hot breath on his back.

Chapter 7

Summary:

Pete has a panic attack :(

Notes:

longer chapter for this story, smut at end of chapter.
Sexual stuff starts at Wade saying “Aw so you mean it was on the table before?” And goes to the end of the chapter.

Chapter Text

Peter wakes up in Wade’s arms. Looking around the room, he can tell it’s pretty late in the day by the way the light is shining through the window. His brain takes a second to catch up. Fuck. Fuck i forgot to set my alarm. He shoots out of bed so fast, waking Wade up. He looks around for his phone and finds it on the ground next to his pants. 11:44. Damn. He’s missed two and a half of his classes today, he has multiple emails from students and the school.

“Fuuuuck” Peter’s hand smacks against his face.

Wade is finally alert enough to respond after being shaken awake so violently. “What’s wrong Peteypie?”

Peter runs out of the room to grab the bag he left in the living room. Yelling from the living room back to Wade. “Forgot to set my alarm! I’m late for work!”

Wade throws on a shirt and sweatpants to follow Peter into the living room. He finds Peter panicking to the point of shutting down.

Peter can’t decide whether to start replying to emails explaining the situation, or start putting on his clothes to get ready. - What do I even say? I can’t tell them I was over at some random fucking guy’s apartment to get a mind-blowing blow job  and forgot about all my responsibilities. - Was the last rational thought he could make out. He stands there with the phone in one hand and shuffling through his bag with the other, pulling his clothes out and haphazardly throwing them on. His body is shaking at this point and he’s pretty sure he’s going to die. He’s starting to feel nauseous and his chest feels impossibly tight. His breathing is coming out shallow and irregular. The thoughts swimming in his head are going so fast he can barely catch them.

Wade watches for a second and realizes what is happening. “Peter. Breathe.” He walks up to the man in his living room. “I’m going to put my hand on your shoulder.” Resting his hand on Peter’s shoulder, he starts to exaggerate his breathing in and out slowly so that Peter has something to follow.

Peter is still shaking, but Wade’s hand grounds him enough to know he needs to start taking deep breaths. He lets go of his phone. Trying to let the tension ease out of his shoulders, slowly he starts to breathe. After a while his brain is still going crazy but starts to feel more rational. “I need to get to work.”

“You’re not going to be any good at work if you can’t calm down a little. I don’t think I can comfortably let you leave when you’re feeling like this.” Wade easily guides Peter to sit on the couch. He kneels next to him and slides his hand down to the top of Peter’s leg by his knee. “Keep breathing and focus on the pressure of my hand, baby.” He says as he starts to gently squeeze his hand on Peter’s leg a couple times.

Peter does what he’s told and his head starts to clear up. The feeling of impending doom starts to fade and soon all he’s focusing on is the man helping him. “I’ve never been late to work like this, I’m always so on top of things, I don’t know how I let this happen. I’ve never even called in sick before.” Peter quietly says when he regains the ability to form words.

Wade notices that Peter has come back down to earth and stops squeezing his leg, letting his hand rest there. His other hand reaches up to Peter’s face. “It's my fault, sorry for keeping you up on a work night.”

“I’m an adult, I made the decision to come here.“ Peter says, shaking his head and pressing it into Wade’s hand. “Shit, now I just need to think of an excuse for why I missed my classes. All my students were emailing me.”

He reaches to pick his phone back up and scroll through some of the emails. They are mostly just worried about him. It is pretty out of character for him so maybe they assumed something bad had happened. Even the one from his boss had an undertone of ‘Please just tell me you’re okay Dr. Parker’. Which is a lot better than an undertone of ‘if you don’t email us right now you’re fired’.

“You said you’ve never called in sick? So call in sick! Everyone gets sick sometimes! And you can just say that you missed your alarm cause your body’s trying to fight it off! Perfect excuse!”

Peter thinks about it, and decides that maybe one sick day won’t be the end of the world. With any luck Wade will let me stay and we can hang out again today. “Yeah. I guess I can do that. I’ll start emailing the school and my students.”

“Want me to make you some breakfast?” Wade stands up and is already on his way to the connected kitchen.

“Yeah, that sounds good.” Peter smiles at Wade. That sounds suspiciously like an invitation to stay a little longer. “Since I’ll have the day off, I could, you know.. hang out? If you’re not busy today. If you are, that’s okay. I’ll have to do a tiny bit of work on my laptop but nothing crazy.”

Walking back into the living room, Wade comes behind the smaller man on the couch and leans over him. He grabs Peter’s face and pulls it back to look up at him. “Baby, you can stay as long as you want. You could move in today and I wouldn’t put up a fight. Might need to figure out some extra closet space though. I could probably stand to get rid of some things.”

“No need to free up closet space now, let’s see how I feel about moving in after breakfast.” Peter says laughing.

“Deal.” Wade leans down and kisses Peter on the forehead. He can’t wipe the huge smile off his face, both him and Peter know that the moving in thing is a joke, they’ve only known each other for a couple days, but it’s cute to think about. He’s really falling for this guy.

Wade wanders back into the kitchen to get started on breakfast, while Peter pulls out his laptop. He crafts a very apologetic email to his boss, a bulk email to the students whose classes he missed, and another one for the students in the day’s upcoming classes. He then decides to work on a couple things for labs and other lectures this week. He can’t be completely unproductive today. He has a hard time doing things for himself, spending time not getting things done gives him hives. Honestly this past weekend with Wade was the first time in a very-very long time that he even allowed himself to not have something work or Aunt May related. He still always does Spider-man stuff no matter what. He hasn’t missed a day in the several years that Spider-man has been active. Yes, it gets stressful, and maybe he’s running himself into the ground but he really doesn’t know how to function any other way.

Peter works away on his laptop listening to Wade hum along to the songs in his head as he cooks. Wade is so damn cute sometimes. He doesn’t know if Wade would even accept that compliment or believe it. But outside of the Merc’s abrasive personality, often crude jokes, and violent tendencies, he’s so caring and thoughtful. Peter has been having anxiety attacks for most of his life, never has he had someone take the time to help him through it the way Wade just did. It’s like he knew exactly what Peter needed. He didn’t call Peter irrational or tell him to get over it, he didn’t leave Peter alone or use too much force. He was the exact calming presence that was needed. And, now he’s in the kitchen cooking Peter breakfast and cheerfully humming. Peter feels warmth growing in his body, he really truly cares about the man in the kitchen and wishes things could stay like this forever. He knows that one day he’s going to have to tell Wade that he’s Spider-man but right now he just wants to keep all the attention for Peter Parker.

He closes his laptop, not being able to stand working right now when all he wants is to feel close to Wade. Walking over to the kitchen, he comes up behind the larger man and wraps his arms around his midsection, burying his face in the man’s back.

Wade chuckles and tells Peter, “You’re restricting my movement baby boy.”

“Work around it, big guy.” It comes out a little muffled because his face is currently smashed into Wade’s back, but he hopes the other man hears him enough to understand.

The Merc laughs again, “Alright, but when you have some ugly ass pancakes, you’re the one to blame, not me.”

They stay like this the rest of the time as Wade finishes up breakfast. Peter just takes in everything Wade; his warmth, the muscles on his stomach, the way his back tenses and relaxes as he moves, his smell, his voice as he talks quietly to himself. When breakfast is finished Wade plates the food, moving as little as possible to not disturb the man clinging to him. After everything is played, he reaches down to grab Peter’s hands and slowly pry them off his stomach. Turning so he’s facing Peter, and leaning down to whisper that breakfast is ready, he grabs the plates and hands one to Peter.

“God, these are ugly ass pancakes.” They looked fine but Peter wanted to be an asshole.

“Oh haha Smart guy. Like I said, that’s on you.”

Peter looks down at the pancakes in his hand and decides to bring up his whole meltdown from not too long ago. “Hey, sorry.. for earlier.”

“For what love?” Wade turns his head to this side looking genuinely confused.

“Um. Panicking. In your living room. Kind of embarrassing.. it wasn’t even that big of a deal.”

“No need to be sorry, sweetheart. I know you can’t control that shit. Just glad you were able to calm down. It made me sad to see you hurting like that.”

“I’ve -uh - been having them since I was in high school. Never had someone deal with me like that, you were very helpful, so ..  thanks.”

Wade smiles wide. “Anything for you Pete!.” He pushes Peter toward the living room with his free hand. “No more sappy shit, let’s eat.”

They set their plates on the coffee table and begin eating. Like always, Wade continuously talks about random topics, oftentimes with his mouth full. Peter thinks it’s a little disgusting, but… loveable? I’m in too deep. When they finish their food Wade takes the plates to go clean them. After a short second Peter follows like a puppy.

“Whatcha wanna do today?” Peter asks, sliding up next to the man as he’s washing dishes.

“I was thinkin‘ about doing you, Peteypie.” Wade flicks some of the dishwater at the smaller man’s face.

Peter scrunches his face in disgust. “Ew Wade. You might have just lost your privileges.”

“Aw so you mean it was on the table before?”

“You gave me the best blowjob of my life last night. I think I’ll let you fuck me however you want big guy.” Peter lightly bumps into Wade with his shoulder, chuckling while he’s talking. He watches Wade face go stone serious, not saying anything back. It makes Peter uncomfortable. Did I say something wrong?

Wade dries his hands quickly and faster than Peter can process what’s happening. - He knows he’s not in danger and besides his Spidey-senses stopped working with Deadpool a while ago.- Wade grabs him by the waist and easily places him on the counter next to the sink. Peter doesn’t even have to think before he’s wrapping his legs around Wade.

Right as Peter wraps his legs around him Wade says “Good boy.” Again in that voice Peter loves so much. Wade puts his hands around Peter’s waist and holds him hard.

Peter’s face flushes and his dick immediately starts to harden at the words.

“You like when I call you that, baby boy?” Voice still low and serious, sending shivers through Peter with every word.

“Mhm.. like when you do anything really.”

“I’m gonna take such good care of you, sweetheart. You gonna keep being a good boy for me and take it?” Wade grinds forward making Peter feel his erection.

Peter’s brain suddenly feels light and airy. there’s no thoughts other than this moment. His face turns an even darker shade of red and his mouth hangs open trying to respond. He nods and after a second is able to croak out a “..yes”

“Gonna carry you to the bedroom, hold on to me.”

Peter does exactly as he’s told, throwing his arms around Wade’s neck and tightening his legs. He’s not exactly sure why he always listens to Wade so quickly. Peter has always been a very hard headed person, someone says ‘do this’ and Peter suddenly loses interest. It’s a power struggle in his head, everything feels like a challenge to him. Including actual challenges, he would never be the person to say ‘uncle’ or tap out. Maybe he sees Wade’s request of being a ‘good boy’ as a challenge? Or maybe with Wade things are just different and he feels like he can let go. Either way he is being carried into the bedroom, with Wade hands supporting him around his ass and his back.

Wade throws the man on his bed, not too roughly but enough to make Peter bounce slightly. “Clothes. Off.”

Again Peter is obediently following directions. Maybe sometime he’ll fight back against Wade but right now he wants whatever is happening to go a little faster. So he listens, stripping all his clothes except his boxers. He feels slightly weird because Wade hasn’t taken off any of his clothes, he’s only watching Peter strip. His eyes scanning over every inch of Peter like he’s about to jump him right here.

Wade reaches out to put a finger in the waistband of the boxers, he pulls and snaps them against Peter’s skin. “These too, love. Can’t fuck you if you’re all covered up.”

Now’s when a little bit of defiance ripples through Peter. “You can’t fuck me if you’re all covered up either. You lose your clothes before I take ‘em off.” Peter raises an eyebrow waiting to see how Wade responds to him talking back.

Wade raises his hands in defeat and starts to take his pants off first. “You’re right.. brat.” He smiles as he undresses.

Peter feels a familiar heat pool in his body when Wade calls him a brat. Fuuuck, do it again. It’s his turn to watch Wade. The man really is beautiful. His thighs are so thick and the textured swirls and divots covering them are so hypnotizing to look at. He wants to reach out to touch. Wade is taking his shirt off. So he takes the opportunity and places his hand on the muscular thighs, they feel so strong and warm. He doesn’t know if Wade has always been like this or if it’s his healing factor constantly regenerating his cells but the man is a furnace. He radiates heat like no one Peter has ever met.

Wade being left in just his boxers as well, he grabs ahold of the hand resting on his thigh and gently guides it to his erection. Giving himself a squeeze with Peter’s hand. He lets out a soft groan at the feeling.

The smaller man’s mouth goes dry, he feels like he can’t swallow. It’s no secret that Wade is a big man. But feeling his dick through his boxers Peter is starting to get an idea just how big Wade is down there.

Wade must have seen how Peter’s face changed when he felt his size. Nothing bad about Peter’s expression, just a soft surprised look. Wade laughs quietly, and reaches for the other hand. Placing both of Peter’s hands on his waistband, inviting him to take Wade’s boxers off himself.

Peter takes a moment to get back at Wade by snapping the waistband of the larger man’s boxers, a little harder than he did to Peter. The corner of Wade’s mouth turns up into a smirk and he places a hand in Peter’s hair. He tugs slightly, nothing that would hurt Peter, especially since they haven’t discussed kinks or anything, just enough to call him a ‘brat’ again. Peter lets out a small gasp and it slides the boxers down causing Wade’s erection to jump out. He lightly grabs on to Wade’s dick taking in the scarred ridges. Rough in some spots and smooth in others, he wants it inside him, like now.

Wade kicks the boxers the rest of the way off. Turning his attention to Peter’s hands around his member. Wade makes a tsk sound and takes Peter’s hands off his dick. As much as he wants the hands there, Peter still hasn’t held up his side of the deal. Pointing towards Peter’s boxers, he says, “Your turn, baby boy.”

Oh yeah I forgot. Peter thinks as he goes to take his boxers off, lifting up off the bed to shimmy them down. Not the most sexy or graceful thing Peter has done but he’s starting to get desperate for Wade.

“Good.” Wade is about to do something but gets side tracked with a thought. “Hey Pete, maybe we should talk about likes and dislikes in the bedroom before we keep going. I don’t want to push too far and I want everything to be comfortable for you.”

He hates that Wade is being so responsible right now. Don’t be sweet right now Wade, grab me and do whatever you want. Is what he wants to say, but he understands why Wade is saying this. They have sorta kinda fallen into a more sub/dom dynamic, one that Peter is a little unfamiliar with but would definitely like to explore more in depth. He likes when Wade praises him, but loves when Wade calls him a brat. He can tell that Wade takes a more controlling role pretty easily but last night it seemed like he also enjoyed letting Peter be rough with him.

Wade continues after a second. “I’m fine to keep going the way we are but we have to set some boundaries. Just letting you know upfront, I’m vers in the bedroom but I generally like to take a more dominant role no matter the position, if my partner is into that. If not I can go 100% vanilla for you, baby. Up to you honestly.”

“I guess I never really thought about it, I assume I’m a bottom with men.. that just , feels right? I don’t know, I like what we have going on right now. Really like when you’re talking to me in that voice you do, it makes my head feel floaty. Only ever had sex with women and it was all pretty plain. I’d like to explore more with you. I do like it when you manhandle me a bit, it’s hot.” Peter was embarrassingly transparent and felt a bit stupid saying all that but Wade said he wanted to talk about it so he tries not to feel weird about the words coming from his mouth.

Wade goes completely still. “I’m .. your first time? With a guy?”

“yeah..”

“That tells me everything I need to know, I’ll be gentle with you, baby boy. You tell me if you need to stop or slow down at any point. I can also check in with colors, red- yellow-green, to tell me how you feel. Sound good?”

Peter nods.

“Can I get a verbal confirmation, love?”

“Yes. Sounds good.“ Peter was going to continue and ask to please get started, but Wade was way ahead of him, crashing their faces together in a heated kiss.

Wade’s hands glide their way up and down Peter’s body finally landing on his dick, giving it a couple gentle strokes. Peter moans into Wade’s mouth. Wade deepens their kiss with his tongue but only for a second before he starts moving down placing small kisses across Peter’s jawline. After reaching the spot behind the other man’s ear and sucking where it’s sensitive, causing another moan to escape from Peter’s mouth, he separates them completely. He quickly heads to the nightstand near the bed and retrieves a bottle of lube. Tossing it on the bed and reconnecting his lips with Peter’s. They kiss for a minute longer before Wade pulls away again.

“Go a little further on the bed Pete.”

Peter just nods and moves himself to the center of the bed, lying on his back, waiting for Wade to join him. He wants to feel the pressure of Wade above him so badly. His wish is granted after Wade takes a couple of seconds to look him over with hungry eyes.

Wade takes in Peter’s body, “You’re fucking gorgeous.” He can’t hold back from touching any longer, hovering over the man, one arm keeping him held up next to Peter’s shoulder, the other hand rubbing soothing circles on his waist. He trails his hand down to the smaller man’s thigh and pushes it open so he can slot himself between Peter’s legs.

Peter takes in all the sensations Wade is giving him. The looming presence above him, the rough hand roaming over his body, the feeling of Wade between his legs. Everything is so perfect with this man. Normally he would be slightly annoyed with how long everything is taking, but Wade seems to be enjoying himself and that’s enough for Peter. He hopes they have more sex in the future, a little rougher, a little quicker, more desperation. But right now he’s just enjoying the ride and finding it very sweet that Wade wants to be so gentle with him. He can’t help but wonder if he would be as gentle and caring with Spider-man, taking as much time exploring his body. Either way he had Wade now, as Peter, and he intends to keep it that way. Though a part of him would like Wade to know that he’s not as fragile as the man might think.

“Gonna open you up now Petey, you ready for me?” Wade sets back on his heels, still between Peter’s legs. He’s holding the bottle of lube and waiting for a response.

“Mhm. Go for it.”

Wade gets some lube on the fingers on his right hand. He places his left hand on Peter’s stomach, light pressure, not enough to hold him in place, just a comforting touch. Wade slowly inserts the first finger, eliciting a small gasp from Peter. When he gets his whole finger in he lets out a quiet ‘so good for me’ making Peter’s dick twitch.

A moment of adjustment before he slowly starts to move inside the man. Curling his finger around, exploring the inside of Peter.

“Ready for another love?”

“Yes, please.”

Wade adds another finger working it inside Peter like the first one. Before long he’s asking Peter if he’s ready for a third.

The answer is a resounding ‘yes yes yes please’ as Peter feels more desperate. He’s fingered himself before, so he knows he likes the sensation, but the position is awkward, his fingers aren’t nearly as thick as Wade’s are, and there’s something special about how much care Wade is putting into every action he takes. All he knows is, this feels great and he wants more. But suddenly he has less, a lot less, as Wade pulls all of his fingers out.

Wade puts some lube on his dick and spreads it around before leaning down to kiss Peter. Wade says, “Did so good with my fingers, honey, ready for more?” He reaches between them as he’s kissing on the smaller man’s neck, lining his dick up with Peter’s hole. Only putting slight pressure while he waits for a response.

Peter lets out an embarrassingly high pitched whine and squeaks out a “yes”

Wade laughs and tells Peter he wants him to breathe while he pushes in. Peter is glad Wade reminded him to breathe because as soon as he felt Wade push past his entrance his brain short circuited. Everything going blank he focuses on the stretching sensation, it only hurts a little, but a good type of pain that turns itself immediately into pleasure. As Wade slides inside in short increments, giving some time to adjust each time, Peter tries to pay attention to his breathing like the Merc told him to. Peter breathes in between the small whimpers escaping him.

Wade finally bottoms out and groans, falling forward to rest his forehead on top of Peter’s forehead and looking into his eyes. “What’s your color Petey?”

Peter is breathless at this point but wants Wade to start moving. “Green.” He says panting.

Wade begins moving. A slow and delicate pace. Adjusting his face to kiss Peter again. Peter can’t focus hard enough to kiss him back all that much, which makes Wade smile against his mouth. So he starts to move down Peter’s face, trailing kisses down his jaw, behind his ear, along his neck, to his shoulders, and arching his back up enough to reach the top of the man’s chest. He has no intention on picking up the pace this go around, he just wants to feel everything for as long as possible. Loving the small noises that are coming from the man below him.

Back up to Peter’s neck he sucks lightly, not really enough to leave any marks. He can’t resist talking between his open mouthed kisses along Peter’s skin. “Feels so good, love…taking it so well…you sound so sexy for me…” etc. Wade has always been one to praise his partners -though he feels the need to do it more with Peter, he’s just so good and deserves it more than anyone I’ve ever met- , and he’s what one might call a service top. He genuinely doesn’t care if he gets off so long as his partner is having fun. Right now Peter seems to be having a good time but he wants Peter to cum before him. So he reaches down and grabs Peter’s cock to start stroking it. He moves in the same rhythm that he’s thrusting and after a short period of time Peter is coming completely undone below him.

Hearing Wade mumble sweet things to him is going to send him over the edge. Peter grabs onto the arm that Wade is using to support himself and squeezes tightly, he uses all of his brain power to make sure he doesn’t use too much of his strength. It’s nice to focus on something because Wade fucking into him and stroking his dick in sync is starting to become an overwhelming feeling. Not bad, just a lot, which probably means his orgasm is quickly approaching. He wants to warn Wade but words are escaping him right now, so he reaches to touch the wrist of the hand pumping at his dick. Hoping that Wade will get the hint. Wade reads his message loud and clear so he starts to pump just a little faster, chasing Peter’s release.

Peter spills all over his own stomach and Wade’s hand. Gasping as he orgasms. He feels Wade slow inside of him but he wants him to finish too, mostly to make him feel good, but also in a selfish possessive way. So he grabs Wade’s hips with his legs and draws him in tightly. Thankfully Wade takes this hint as well and continues to fuck into him. At a somewhat faster pace this time. The sensations are overwhelming but he’s starting to calm after his orgasm. He finally comes down from the high to be able to tell Wade exactly what he wants. “Want you to cum in me Wade, please.”

Wade figured that’s what was going to happen but hearing Peter say it like that in his stupid-sexy-seductive voice with that fucked out look on his face, absolutely sends him over the edge. He lets his orgasm rock through him, and with a few final thrusts he fills Peter up.

They stay there for a moment before Wade moves to pull himself out of Peter. Before long he’s jumping up to go get after-sex essentials. He leaves Peter in the room telling him to stay where he is.  Peter listens and Wade returns with a damp towel and a bottle of water. He hands Peter the water, and starts to clean them both up with the towel. Peter hasn’t said a word, he just watches as Wade does everything. Wade doesn’t actually know how to stay quiet for very long so he softly sings a song while wiping down their stomachs, his hand, and the extra lube and cum around Peter’s ass.

It’s silly watching Wade sing and bob his head while he takes great care in cleaning up their mess. Silly and oh-so endearing.

When Wade deems them sufficiently cleaned up, he takes up cuddling with Peter. They talk for a while in comfort. Wade said if they were going to continue seeing each other they really needed to talk more in-depth about bedroom activities. So they did, it didn’t feel nearly as uncomfortable as Peter would have thought, not with Wade. After a while of talking they both ended up with erections again so they agreed on round two. Wade felt a little more comfortable going harder this time. And Peter realized just how much he likes letting others take control in the bedroom. He suspects that it’s because outside of the bedroom he’s got so many responsibilities and he’s always stressing himself out for other people, so taking time to let someone else lead is invigorating.

After they clean up again, Wade suggests moving to the living room and expanding their Minecraft world. Peter agrees and they spend the rest of the day doing just that. Only pausing to eat lunch when the time comes. Peter spends his time in the mines, fighting mobs, and collecting materials for his Minecraft boyfriend. Because Wade likes to spend his time decorating their house, finding wolves and cats to tame, and burning down villages. He also makes a pretty nice farm.

It’s starting to become evening time and Peter needs to find an excuse to go home so he can patrol tonight. Thankfully Wade makes an excuse for him.

“Hey Pete, as much as I love hanging out, I gotta go to meet Spidey for patrol, and you should probably not be kept up all night for work tomorrow.”

So they say their goodbyes, kiss for a little longer than necessary, and Peter -once again- promises to text Wade when he gets home.

Chapter Text

The rest of the week goes by smoothly for Peter. He keeps busy with work, there’s some pretty big projects and papers coming up for his students as it gets closer to semester end, so when he’s not actively on campus, he’s answering emails from students. He hasn’t gone to hangout with Wade as Peter again for the rest of the week. Though, they have been texting everyday. Sometimes it’s all flirting and other times they just talk like they would if they were together in person. Peter is getting more used to Wade’s texting style though he maintains the thought in his head that it seems like more work to text that way. Wade has also begun texting him his every waking thought. Sometimes when Peter is at work and doesn't check his phone very often he’ll come back to 46 unread messages from Wade. That part he really doesn’t mind, he likes scrolling through all the absolutely random things that deadpool has sent him, he picks a couple interesting ones to respond to to show Wade that he’s reading them and to encourage him to keep blowing his phone up. After a day full of messages, they meet up for patrol. Patrol has also been pretty uneventful - not that it hasn’t been busy - just your everyday crime. Stuff that, frankly, Spider-Man can handle on his own. He likes Deadpool being there anyway.

Saturday rolls around and he doesn’t have any work but he promised Aunt May he’d come and help her with some stuff around the house. Some things are getting harder for her as she gets older, so she usually makes a list for him to do when he comes over. This Saturday she definitely keeps him busy, he’s sure that she is fully capable of doing a lot of the tasks. It’s probably some sort of punishment for failing to call her as often as she would like. After successfully finishing everything on her list at around 4:50pm, Peter sat at the dining room table while May cooked them some food. They talked, the conversation was just simple catching up about general life stuff. May talked about her new neighbor, who was apparently a very nice lady. Peter talked about work and a couple of his students who were doing some very impressive research things.

While they were talking Peter received a few texts from Wade. He took some time to look at the texts and respond while still trying to engage in small talk with Aunt May.

[Wade] miss u 😢

[Wade] u busy tmr??

[PeteyPie] Not much going on, I can make some time

[Wade] aww 4 me?? 🥰🥰

Peter breathed a small laugh at his phone, while Aunt May was still talking.

[PeteyPie] No, for some other guy.

[Wade] (╥﹏╥)

[Wade] ouch bby

[Wade] iz he hot? 🔥

[Wade] he can cum over 2 ;)

[PeteyPie] 🙄 What time do you want me to come over?

[Wade] anytime luv 🌸🩷

“How does that sound, Peter?” May’s question snapped him out of his phone and back to the conversation.

Damn, I didn’t hear what she said.

“Mhm that sounds great, Aunt May.” Peter tries to cover up the fact that he totally didn’t hear whatever it is she said. The cover-up obviously didn’t work because May quickly shot him a look of disapproval.

Shaking her head and sighing she just says “I didn’t actually say anything, I could just tell you weren’t listening. You were so distracted, who’s the lucky lady?”

Peter got a little flustered knowing that May could tell he was texting someone. He knew she would be happy he’s getting out there though. She’s always onto him about that stuff. He also knew that she wouldn’t actually judge him for talking to a guy either, she really only said ‘lady’ because that’s all she’s ever seen Peter with. So he spills a little about Wade, especially since he feels like a child with a crush and really has no one else in his life to talk to about everything. He makes her aware that they’ve really only started hanging out this past week but does mention he’s known Wade for longer. He just tells her that he and Wade met as coworkers, but then they went on a coffee date. Peter is not a great liar but he’s very good at omitting enough information to the point that it’s not -really- a lie.

Aunt May is ecstatic to hear about the other man. She tells Peter about how it’s been so long since he’s mentioned someone she was scared he just gave up on dating. It is humiliating to hear that she thinks about how bad of a love life Peter has, but it’s all not entirely untrue. Being Spider-Man, dating does scare him, it puts his partner in danger and he really doesn’t like that. Fortunately for him, he ended up falling for a man who literally cannot die, so that’s a win.

They talk for a little while longer and May finishes the food. They eat and talk some more. May definitely tries to pry more information about Wade out of him but he says he’ll talk more about it if they start dating. That’s a good enough answer for right now it seems, so she moves onto other topics. Eventually, Peter is saying goodbye to his Aunt and heading out the door, promising to call her more. He goes home and takes the extra hour before patrol to clean up his neglected apartment.

Wade doesn’t show up for patrol tonight. Not the end of the world, but it does make the night a little lonelier. Maybe he’s feeling a bit lost in his head tonight, he takes a few more hits than he should and doesn’t pull his punches as much as he normally would. He usually has Deadpool’s constant rambling to keep him out of his head enough. He still effortlessly quips with his opponents but that is all autopilot by now. End of the night comes, he’s feeling pretty sore and he’s sure a couple of the criminals he fought are feeling the same way. They are probably going to wake up in their cells with some pretty nasty headaches, which does make Peter feel bad. I have to focus more. I’m losing my control.

He stumbles into his dark apartment, stripping himself of his suit and flopping onto his bed. Drifting off to sleep pretty easily, his dreams are clouded with an ominous haze. He can’t actually make anything out but the whole thing puts him on edge. He gets the feeling like things are going too well right now and it’s all about to change for the worse.

Chapter Text

Peter wakes up on Sunday morning knowing he’s going over to Wade’s soon. He tries to focus on that but it’s all completely overshadowed by a persistent worry in the back of his head. Something about his dream last night has left a lasting sense of impending doom that continues to ripple through him. It isn’t like his Spidey-senses, it’s just pure anxiety. He knows he’s being irrational, things are just going great right now and his brain loves to sabotage that. So he tries to make a point not to let it. It doesn’t stop the constant swirling thoughts. He knows from experience when his anxiety gets like this and it starts to take over his life that he’s more susceptible having panic attacks. Which, in turn, causes more fear, making the feeling worse. A terrible spiraling road that he’s been down too many times to count. It’s a feeling that causes constant nausea and makes it hard to focus on any task. He admits to himself that maybe after all these years he should get a therapist to help in times like this. But, at this point, this is just how life is to Peter. Though something about the feeling this time is absolutely deafening.

When he’s finally finished getting ready through the foggy haze of his mental distress, he sends Wade a text asking if it’s okay that he comes over now. After getting confirmation he makes the short journey over to the other man’s apartment. God, it’s cold out . Peter doesn’t know why he decided to just wear a short sleeve shirt when it’s the end of November. Just evidence that his brain is not in it today.

He must look out of it when he arrives, because Wade’s smile almost immediately drops when he sees Peter.

“You look like someone dipped their toes in your cereal, baby boy”

Ew . “Just tired I guess.” He didn’t want to burden Wade with his deteriorating mental state.

“Aw, I had some stuff planned for us in the outside world today, but we can skip all that and just ‘lax if you want.”

Peter didn’t know Wade had a day planned for them. That sounds like it just might be distracting enough to ease him out of his stress, depending on what he has in store. “No, let’s do whatever you have planned, I’ll be fine.”

“Oooookay.” Wade said suspiciously, knowing that Peter wasn’t telling him what was actually bothering him. He shifted gears. “Why aren’t you wearing a jacket, sweetheart? You’re going to turn into a Peter-cicle if you go out like that.”

Peter shrugs and before he can respond Wade is dashing into his bedroom and coming back with a hoodie. He tosses it at Peter, who doesn’t even react fast enough to catch it. Man, I am out of it. Patrol better be slow tonight, I don’t know Spider-Man will be functioning . Though putting on the mask usually helps with pushing bad mental health away for long enough to pretend he’s okay.

He slips on the hoodie and it’s definitely too big for him but it feels so nice and smells just like Wade. He looks over at the other man and Wade is looking back at him with the biggest heart-eyes. Peter doesn’t think he’s ever seen someone look at him with such fondness.

“Think everyone will know it’s your hoodie?” Peter says pulling at the length of it.

The noise that comes out of Wade is a strangled whine, maybe? A moan? Something in the realm. There is a possessiveness there, that tells Peter Wade wants everyone to know it’s his.

Wade is emboldened by seeing Peter in his clothes and decides this is the right moment for what he was already planning on asking today. “Hey, Pete, how does it feel? The fabric okay on it?”

Peter is confused by the question. I mean, yeah, it’s a good quality hoodie. It’s comfortable, but he doesn’t understand why Wade’s asking. He looks down at the hoodie, eyebrows furrowed, he picks at the fabric, wondering why it’s special enough to ask about. Wade is suddenly very close to him while he’s still inspecting the fibers. Wade also picks up a part of the hoodie, near the bottom, rubbing it between his finger, his knuckles lightly brushing against Peter’s stomach.

“You see this is a special hoodie. The fabric… it’s made from boyfriend material.”  Wade made it through the sentence but as soon as that last part came out he couldn’t stop himself from laughing.

Peter takes a second after Wade stops talking and processes how dumb he feels to not have seen that pick up line coming. Wade is actually a professional at saying the cheesiest pickup lines known to man, and he absolutely walked right into that one without a second thought. He starts laughing as well, smacking Wade’s shoulder a little harder than necessary. “Dumbass”

Through the laughter Wade says, “Fuck, baby boy, you should have seen how confused you looked.”

“Definitely not gonna be your boyfriend after that one.” Peter weakly pushes on Wade’s chest as Wade pulls him in closer.

“Aw come on Pete, don’t be like that.” Wade fake pouts. He pulls the smaller man in and runs his hand under the hoodie and shirt, making contact with Peter’s skin. “You would make the prettiest boyfriend ever”

Peter can feel himself melting into Wade’s embrace. This is what he needed today. “I’ll be your boyfriend, on one condition.” Peter’s words muffled by Wade’s chest.

Wade pulls back looking down at Peter. “Yeah? What’s that, love?”

“I get to keep the hoodie.”

“I think that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.” He leans down and pulls them into a kiss.

After a while, they set out into the city. Before they leave, Wade pulls on his mask and gloves. Wade refuses to tell Peter what his ‘plans’ are, making him more anxious than before but he’s trying not to show it and just go with the flow. I am not good at ‘going with the flow ’. They end up at the Queens Center mall, Peter genuinely hadn’t been to a mall since high school and even then he hadn’t been very often. Do people still go to malls? Apparently, the answer is yes because it was decently busy in there. When Peter asks Wade why they are going to the mall he shrugs and says “shopping date” he really just wanted to get out of the house for something other than meeting up with Spider-Man.

Making their way through stores. Peter tries his hardest to focus in on Wade talking instead of the loud/bright atmosphere. Malls -  Not the best place for someone with crazy high anxiety and super senses. So he ended up clinging to his boyfriend for most of the time, Wade didn’t seem to mind and kept checking in with him to make sure he was okay. Very kind, but Peter is nothing if not hardheaded, so he intended to do whatever it was that Wade wanted to do today without complaint. Peter didn’t have the money or want to buy anything even though Wade constantly insisted he pay for anything.

“There it is! That’s why we are here.” Wade stops walking and gestures a hand toward a Build-A-Bear.

Peter deadpans looking at the other man who is visibly shaking with excitement. “Wade, we are grown men.”

“Yeah so ? We can get matching outfits!” He drags Peter into the workshop.

Peter knows they look so stupid standing and picking out a bear to make. Thankfully the store isn’t busy and they don’t look like they are creeping on any kids. That’s a whole different type of fear that would be living in Peter right now. They get matching bears, his is light blue and Wade’s is pink. Peter tries so hard not to make eye contact with any of the workers. They go through the whole process: hearts, stuffing, picking (matching) clothes, birth certificates. The whole time Wade is talking and laughing with the nice employees, they said it’s not that uncommon for adults to come in there, making Peter relax a bit. The men finish up, Wade pays, and as they leave Peter tells the other man that it was a thoroughly horrifying experience and that he needs something to eat.

So they venture over to the food court to eat. Despite wanting food not too long ago, and not having eaten anything today, Peter’s nausea takes over and he just ends up picking at the food his boyfriend bought. After they finish eating Wade tells Peter that he can tell something is bothering him and they can finish the rest of the day at his apartment instead of being out. Peter tries to explain that there’s really nothing wrong, it’s just a constant feeling that something is going to be wrong. They head back to Wade’s apartment anyway and spend the rest of their time there until it is, once again, time to head out for the night.

Putting on the Spider-Man mask always gives Peter an extra layer of confidence that he wears like armor. The persistent worries are still spiraling in his head but he’s able to clear them enough to focus on his hero duties for right now.

During patrol tonight, Deadpool excitedly tells his good friend that he’s a taken man and that Spidey needs to stop looking at his ass. Which earns him a swift punch to the arm from the hero. They have a big drug bust that seems like it’s going to turn into something a lot bigger. Something that neither of them are able to investigate more tonight, especially since Deadpool blew their cover while they were listening-in to the criminals plans. He’s pretty impulsive sometimes and this time it cost them what could have been a bigger bust. They are now going to have to wait for this same ring to resurface somewhere else to take down the rest and finish the job.

They named their bears Wade jr. and Peter jr.

Chapter Text

The following weeks, the men spend more and more time together. There was a two day period where Wade went out of town for a job, but they texted each other the whole time. Other than that, It seems Peter is always at Wade’s apartment. After he’s done with his lectures he’ll come over and finish his workday on Wade’s couch. Since Deadpool meets Spider-Man at night it’s always a good excuse to ‘head home’, he really just keeps this suit in a bag and changes quickly where no one will see before joining Deadpool. Then, after patrol Wade usually texts Peter to come over again. It’s a great thing that they live so close because Peter really doesn’t mind. And sleeping over at Wade’s is so nice. They get into this routine, and become completely inseparable.

Wade is still blissfully unaware that they are literally always together because he still has no idea about his boyfriend also being his colleague/friend. Yes, Peter knows he has to tell him but the longer that it goes on, the harder it is. At this point though, how the hell would he ever tell his boyfriend everything. I am in way too deep. He’s definitely past the point where coming out and saying it would be acceptable or something they could just laugh off. Now, it would just be insane. It’s no longer about the fact that he doesn’t want Wade knowing. Now he’s driven by the fear of losing his best friend - now lover. He’s so sure that Wade would break up with him that he just became determined to never tell him.

To top off the persistent war waging in his head, Peter’s anxiety is only getting worse. He’s constantly on edge and it’s starting to bleed into Spider-Man stuff. He’s losing control, having bursts of anger, even his Spidey-senses are in the fritz - signaling at weird times or not firing at all. It’s causes more than a few blows to land on him in fights and it’s getting hard to hide his jumpiness from Deadpool. Deadpool being the caring friend he is, has notices that something is off with him and offers to give him some days off. Telling Spidey he’d go patrol and keep the city safe while he took a break ‘no killing or maiming, scouts honor.’ He says. Peter believes him but refuses to believe that Spider-Man needs a break.

So here he is sitting on the roof with Deadpool, because they just heard about their drug supply ring from a couple weeks ago resurfacing. They are working out a plan to take the whole thing down. The product being distributed isn’t the normal run-of-the-mill drugs you get from the alley. It is some sort of new drug that is turning people into raging monsters. It turns its users fear response on overdrive until they act like a scared wild animal, it also seems to give them bursts of superhuman strength. Recently, Spider-Man and Deadpool have had to deal with more than a few people whose normal Coke was laced with this new stuff. People aren’t ingesting it willingly, which makes sense because from what they’ve been told it’s a pretty unpleasant experience. But, that means someone is out there turning these people into temporary monsters for some reason. Maybe just to cause havoc in the city? Whatever the reason is, Peter is determined to put a stop to it before people get hurt.

Through some expert detective work (if you can call Deadpool threatening a man to the point that he pisses his pants and gives them the information they want ‘expert detective work’) they find out where the big boss of the operation is going to be tonight. They also know that most - if not all - of the drug supply will be at the site. So it’s a perfect opportunity to strike. The plan: web up the bad guys, get the police involved. Super simple, easy to remember, no one gets hurt

Except when things go wrong. Maybe Peter’s never-ending anxiety was all a build-up to this moment.

They burst into the warehouse and easily take down a large portion of people inside. There are only a few people left in the main room and they know the boss has to have been alerted by now. So, Spider-Man tells Deadpool to run into the other room and stop the others from leaving while he finishes up. Right after Deadpool leaves Peter’s sight, his Spidey-senses start pinging like crazy. A tingle rampages through his body. All of his senses start going off like sirens. He can’t make out any immediate danger, the three men who are left don’t have even have guns or anything. This should be an easy take-down but his alarms keep ringing. I’ve got to get this anxiety under control, my senses are broken. He works to push through it and finish the job so they can call it an early night and maybe he can calm down.

He crouches down in his signature stance to fight the three men. Of course, like most criminals, they think they can somehow beat Spider-Man and they start towards him. Why can’t the bad guys ever just make it easy and surrender or something. The next part of the fight is done in a complete haze. The men come at him, he counters all their attacks and fights back. Maybe he’s attacking too rough, they seem to be just average people who got caught up in the wrong crowd. No, he’s definitely attacking too rough. It’s like he can’t control his body or his strength anymore. One of the men throws a punch that Peter catches, but instead of just pushing the man back like he normally would, his hand clamps down and shatters the man’s hand in his grasp. The crack of the bones and the man wailing in pain isn’t enough to pull him out of his haze.

Another wave of nausea inducing fear rocks through him. Making the blaring alarms in his brain somehow louder. He doesn’t even register his body moving to swipe at the next man’s feet knocking him to the ground. Through the screaming fog in his brain, he fails to notice the last man coming for him, he gets punched in the face but his body is tingling to the point of numbness - physically he doesn’t feel a thing. A primal rage floods through him and he punches the last man directly in the side of the head, there’s a loud crack and the man is flying through the air from the impact.

Peter’s vision cuts in and out in the following moments. He falls backward, he hears a muffled voice, it’s familiar. Deadpool. His body suddenly loses all the tension that it was holding in every muscle of his body out of fear. Blinking his vision back into focus he makes out Deadpool leaning over him.

“Spidey! Hey man. Webs!” Deadpool sounds like he’s underwater, everything is muffled and there’s a ringing in his ears. “Did you get drugged?”

A few more moments and it’s all gone. He can feel his body again, the ringing stops, he can hear Wade talking, his senses calm down and everything feels normal. There’s a dull pain where he got punched and he can feel Wade’s hands on his shoulders. His body just feels weak from the extreme tension that had a hold on his muscles.

“Webs? You good? Everyone’s all tied up. I don’t think that guy is good though.” Wade is pointing towards the man Spider-Man has punched. “His face kind of looks like a deflated balloon.”

Oh god the nausea is back. Peter looks over at the man and he’s definitely, 110%, not okay. Peter gets up and stumbles over to the man, Wade is right. The man’s head is completely caved in. It’s grotesque to look at. I did that. Tears well up in his eyes under the mask. Peter falls to his knees near the man’s body. ‘No no no no I’m sorry’ is all he can say before one of his panic attacks starts to build up. All at once he’s fully sobbing, his brain is swimming again. He rolls up the bottom part of his mask to get some air but it doesn’t help. His chest is tight and he can’t get air in properly. I didn’t want anyone to get hurt. I failed at everything I ever stood for. I can never put the suit on again.

That’s when Wade starts to help Spider-Man though his panic attack the same way he helped Peter. He tries to help guide his breathing, and give him something to focus on. Eventually his breathing calms enough to choke out another ‘I’m sorry’ to Wade before he quickly stands up and flees the scene.

He hears Deadpool calling after him, “Spidey! Wait up!”

He quickly loses the other man and swings his way home. When he gets there he takes his suit off as quickly as possible. Shoving it in the back of his one tiny closet. His breathing picks back up as he cries some more. Spider-Man is a murderer now.

Chapter Text

The next few weeks, Peter is living in some kind of mental purgatory. Peter has to go on living his life like normal, like he wasn’t the cause of someone’s death. Work like everything is normal, talk to Aunt May like nothing happened, keep seeing Wade and pretending like it’s all okay. He really wants Wade’s comfort right now but to get that would require one of two things. 1. Telling Wade that he’s Spider-Man. Or 2. Putting the suit back on and meeting with Deadpool. He can’t do either. If he tells Wade about his identity, he’s sure to lose him as a friend and boyfriend. That’s something Peter just can’t afford. And, he can’t bring himself to put the suit back on.

Peter watches all the New York news outlets for reports that Spider-Man killed someone during the drug bust. But, it never comes. The city remains unaware of his crime, unknowing that the man who promised to protect them killed one of their own. Even if he was a criminal he didn’t deserve that. However, the only Spider-Man related news that is reported everyday is the lack of sightings.

Because he’s so close to Wade, Peter knows that despite Spider-Man not being around, Deadpool still goes on patrol every night. It makes him not feel like a total piece of shit for not keeping the city safe. Knowing someone is out there doing something.

Wade has started to let Peter stay at his place even when he goes out on Patrol. Peter is very thankful for this because his apartment is just hard to be at right now. The weight of his suit in the closet and the stinging feeling of loneliness is too much to bear. A depression is starting to take hold of him. It’s making the everyday function of life nearly impossible. Wade is incredibly patient and caring but he feels so bad for putting his boyfriend through all this without telling him what’s wrong.

Wade’s apartment is actually where he is right now. He’s lying on the couch, Wade is out on patrol. He could be watching a movie or playing a game, something to distract him from the despair that is settling in every ounce of his body. But, instead he just stares straight ahead, at the wall. There’s only 2 days left in the semester at work, he has research projects to grade. Another thing he could be doing right now. But still, he stares at the wall.

His brain has this constant tv static sound playing, and his insides feel numb all the time. He never feels totally inside his body anymore, it’s like he’s watching everything play out incapable of actually thinking or doing anything.

After several motionless hours on the couch, Wade gets home. He stomps in through the door and heads to the bedroom to change into some normal clothes. When he comes back to the living room he approaches Peter quietly.

“Hey Pete. You haven’t moved since I left.” Wade’s tone is so soft.

I really am a piece of shit for making Wade take care of me like this. He doesn’t deserve any of this. We haven’t even dated that long and he’s shown me more kindness than I deserve. I should end this now to save him from me

Wade moves to sit on the couch, he gently lifts Peter’s head and rests it on his lap. “You know, I’m having a really hard time helping you when I don’t know what’s going on.”

“M’sorry” Peters voice came out quiet from not being used

Wade rambles for a while. “I’m no good at talking about feelings and shit. But I’m stressed the fuck out. My two favorite people are both having a really fucking shitty times right now and I can’t do anything to fix it. Trust me Pete, I’d do just about anything for you two. Well, you’re the only one I can do anything for. I don’t have a way of reaching Spidey. I wish I could, I gotta tell him that the city needs him. I can’t even pretend to do the stuff he does. That guy has a heart of gold and it sucks what happened but it wasn’t even his fault. It had to have been the drugs or something. I cleaned up the mess so his reputation wouldn’t be ruined. He’s the hope in the heart of the city, I just hope he isn’t done for good. “

Peter couldn’t respond. He just sat there feeling like an idiot. Wade is the reason the man’s death wasn’t reported on and no one has turned against Spider-Man. He also didn’t realize that not only is Peter causing Wade stress but so is Spider-Man. The way that Wade talks about his hero persona makes him realize that keeping Spider-Man from the city because of one mistake is not doing what he thought it was doing. He felt like he failed in his responsibilities so he took a step back but the real failure was the step back. Wade continued to talk and mentions how people stop him on patrol and ask him where Spider-Man is. It really sets in that the people want him out there.

Chapter Text

So Peter is back in the suit, swinging through New York. It still doesn’t feel right but he tells himself that he’s doing it for the city and he’s doing it for Wade. Deadpool never stopped loyally waiting for Spidey on their rooftop each day before starting patrol. So he knows where he has to be.

There Deadpool is, sitting on the ledge, singing a song. His singing is loud enough that he doesn’t notice Peter arriving behind him.

“Hey pool.”

Wade turned and shot up from where he was sitting. On his way up he stumbles forward. Catching his balance he makes his way to stand right in front of Spider-Man, hands on the hero’s shoulders, “Spidey! Hey! Wow! I’ve been patrolling for you, I didn’t know when you were coming back.”

“Thanks for that.”

“Yeah, no problem. Are you, like, good?”

“I will be. Yo-“ Spider-Man is completely interrupted by a cacophony of sounds. A loud boom, screeching and crashing, all followed by screaming.

Apparently tonight was the night I needed to come back.

Both men know they need the get there fast. “Swing with me.” Peter says and he grabs ahold of Deadpool and starts toward noises. Another blast and screaming can be heard. Wade adjusts himself so he’s clinging to his friend and it frees up Spidey’s second hand.

They land on the ground near the scene and take in whatever is happening. People are running in the streets, abandoning their cars.  A huge pile up of crushed cars making a wall around a man dressed in pretty normal clothes outside of a very large glowing belt. A couple of citizens notice the two masked men in their frenzy. ‘It’s Spider-Man!’ A man yells. Spidey takes a moment to wave at them, telling them to get to safety.

Another blast happens and it’s sends all the cars flying even further backwards causing a bigger pile up. The blast caves in the wall of a building this time. Peter sees a young woman inside the building about to be crushed by debris so he dashes forward to pull her out. This puts him directly in view of the Villain. He lowers the woman to the ground and tells her to run to safety.

“I even got Spider-Man out of hiding. Hello spider, I’m going to crush you like the bug you are.”

“Man, bad guys love using that line, I don’t know how many times I have to say the spiders aren’t bugs.”

The man sends out another blast. It’s a wave of energy that throws everything in is radius outward with incredible force. This one sends both Spider-Man and Deadpool flying. Spider-Man is thrown into a car, the glass from the window cutting him open, he’s bleeding. Deadpool gets launched into a building. Pulling himself out of the car Peter takes inventory of his injuries -eh they’ll be fine- and Deadpool, whose body is peeling off from the brick wall that his body made a home in -he’ll be fine too-. Now he can see where the energy waves are coming from, the villains belt, duh. Peter tries to talk to the man, because he knows if they try to get close again it’s just going to send them flying back. But this guy seems completely unwilling to cooperate, his whole idea of being a bad guy just to cause destruction. It’s annoying when that’s their only motive and they are succeeding.

Peter shoots a web at the man’s belt, which sends out another wave, larger than the last. They seem to keep getting bigger. This time it sends Peter into a bus stop awning, cracking his body into a metal bench, more glass falling all around him. Ow. That didn’t work. Wade is now in the road to the side, one that has significantly last cars than the side Peter is on. Both of the heroes barely have enough time to recover before another wave comes. Now suddenly Peter is flying through the air, he’s able to shoot a web quick enough that he doesn’t land painfully this time. Swinging in near the bad guy. He lands pretty close, so he can try and web the man up, starting with the feet and restraining the rest of his body. Hopefully, he can’t send anymore blasts out. Peter notices that Deadpool, hasn’t come any closer after the last wave, he’s off in the distance fiddling with one of his guns.

Peter is wrong about how webbing the guy up would stop the blasts because another one comes. Apparently the device is working on its own, the guy only has to stand there, we gotta damage that gadget. Peter’s close proximity is not a good thing, he felt the energy push through his body painfully, is feels like his chest is going to cave from the pressure. He is slung through the air, and through the wall of a building. The bricks snagging on parts of his suit cutting him open in multiple spots.

There is a nasty gash on Peter’s forehead, from a pipe that luckily did not impale him, it’s so bad the blood is clouding the vision on his right eye. His suit is ripped in so many places with scrapes and cuts. He’s 100% sure he has a couple of broken ribs as well. He doesn’t know if he can get up, his body not listening to him when he tells it to move. Especially with his vision blurred so badly. His ears are ringing and his head feels like it might explode. Spider-Man hears another wave of energy, sending his body further into the rubble, then finally a gunshot. Peter realizes that Wade was probably switching out his bullets, hopefully he shot the device and stoped the shockwaves. A fuzzy numb feeling starts to take over when he hears footsteps and Deadpool’s voice.

“Spidey?” Deadpool came into view through his left eye. “Oh boy, you don’t look so good Webs.”

“Well I feel great.” Spiderman struggled to get the words out and managed a laugh but his ribs hurt so bad, the laugh just tuned into groans of pain.

“I’m gonna get you fixed up, Webs.” Deadpool sounded way too serious, which freaks Peter out.

I must look pretty bad. There is a shooting pain in Peter’s side as he feels himself getting lifted. It’s all so painful that it makes him shiver in Deadpool’s arms.  A small involuntary sound comes out of his mouth. He feels the his own blood coming out of -frankly- too many parts of his body.

“Sorry Spides, gotta lift you to get you somewhere safe. Hang in there.” Deadpool tries to keep a comforting tone.

They make the trek back to Wade’s Queens apartment where he’s been staying almost exclusively, because of Peter. The Merc carries him into the bathroom and as gently as possible sets Spider-man in the tub. Wade takes off his own mask and gloves to see better and not get whatever is on his gloves in Spidey’s wounds. He gets to work tending to all of the cuts. Starting from the bottom. Thankfully, even the really bad cuts will still be healed in a day or two but for right now they need to closed. Peter tries to stay as still and quiet as possible while Wade works but it is a little hard at times. Wade makes his way up Spider-man’s body before he reaches the gash on his forehead. It is not pleasant to look at. The white of Spiderman’s right lens and even a little of the left one is covered in red. The cut is open wide and long but it didn’t make a clean cut on the suit. The stretchy material held together in the middle, making it impossible to get a good look at it while the mask is still on.

“Webs .. you know we gotta take the mask off right ? "The words come out of Deadpool very carefully.

Panic washes over Peter, Wade is about to find out he’s been lying to him. Not only is he in a lot of pain right now but he’s about to lose his best friend and boyfriend.

“No, we - I … can’t “ Wade can hear the panic in Spiderman’s voice but thinks it is only about him discovering the hero’s identity.

“Spidey, we have to. It’s really bad, it’s still bleeding everywhere. You have to know I would never ever do anything to hurt to. You have to know that by now. Please, let me fix this.” His voice a little pained because it hurts knowing that even while he’s sitting here bleeding Spider-man still didn’t trust him.

“DP .. it’s not that.. I trust you .. it’s - I - uh I’ve been keeping a secret. And, well.. I’m scared you won’t like me after you find out.”

“What, are you ugly under there or something?” Deadpool laughs, trying to keep it lighthearted. “Webs, I promise whatever it is, it will be fine. I’m taking this off now.”

The Merc reaches for the mask. Peter shuts his eyes as tight as he can. He can’t bear to look at Wade’s face of - what will most likely be - betrayal. The mask is off. Silence. The seconds are grueling, feeling like they stretch on for hours. Wade is so quiet. Peter’s curiosity gets the better of him. He opens his eyes slowly. Wade just has a blank stare while he takes in Peter’s face. Still saying nothing, his mouth just slightly open.  The man lying in the tub can’t make out what Wade is feeling and he freaks out even more. The dam breaks and he lets out a word vomit.

“Wade. I’m so so sorry. I wanted to tell you. So many times. It’s just - I just. Fuck, I don’t know. You met me as Peter that day and I guess it just felt good to be wanted as Peter Parker instead of as Spider-man. I’m sorry. I don’t know why I never said anything. The longer it went on the harder it was to let you know. I just - ugh ! God !And at this point , it’s been going on for so long that I thought telling you would make me lose you. I don’t want to lose you Wade. You’re so important to both Peter and Spider-man. I - god, can you please say something , I’m freaking the fuck out right now.”

Scarred hands reach up to the gash on Peter’s forehead. “Let me clean this up.” Wade’s voice is quiet and even.

The men sit there in silence as Deadpool finishes stitching up hero’s forehead. Peter takes Wade’s response as confirmation that he definitely, 100%, without a doubt, fucked everything up. This is the last time I’m going to see Wade.  Tears well up in his eyes, he tries to make them go away and not let them fall because it’s all his fault anyway. I don’t really get to be sad about this.  On the last loop of the stitches, one tear falls down Peter’s face and he hears Wade whisper something to himself.

“I’m dating Spiderman.” Wade then leans back, admiring his fine medical work.

Peter cannot believe that Wade doesn’t even sound mad at him, and on top of that, did he just confirmed we are still dating? “Can we - Are we -? “

Wade cuts him off with a laugh. “Peteypie, you don’t think you can get rid of me that easily do you? You’re going to have to do a lot worse to me than lie about a secret identity to get me to leave you alone. In fact, I really don’t think there’s anything you can do that would make me break up with you.” He laughs again, louder this time throwing his head back. “Sorry Nerd, you’re stuck with me! This is pretty funny though, how long were you planning on keeping this up baby boy? You know, Pete, people usually live double lives to get away from their ‘old ball and chain’ not to double up on time spent with the same person.”

While Wade was talking and laughing through his sentences, the horror and disbelief Peter was feeling slowly melted into something calmer, chuckling along with him. “What can I say Wade, guess you’re just irresistible.”

Wade laughs again, and looks down at his boyfriend with softness in his eyes. A look that Peter will never get tired of seeing directed towards him.

“So you’re not mad ?”

“Baby boy” Wade pouts, shaking his head. “I could never be mad at you.”

Peter laughs quietly, releasing some tension in his body. “Can you please be a little angry at me though? I kinda deserve it , I feel guilty as shit.”

“You want me to be mad ? I mean I can try, we could have angry sex or something.”

Peter winces at the thought. “Uh, maybe when I look and feel a little less like roadkill.”

“Okay, okay, no angry sex for the broken spider.” Wade starts to help Peter out of the tub. “But we do have to talk about all this, I kind of need some answers.”

“Deal.” Peter limps into the bedroom with some help from Nurse-Deadpool. He sits down on the edge of the bed. “Can we, talk about it in the morning though? My head is killing me.”

Wade brings his boyfriend some of his clothes after fishing them out of the drawer. He walks over to the injured man and places a quick kiss on the side of his forehead that isn’t cut. “Deal.”

The Merc helps get Peter out of his suit and into the clothes. A shirt and some sweatpants that are both way too big for him. Wade then changes out of his suit and turns the light out. They both settle into the bed next to each other. Peter feels like there’s a huge weight off his chest and drifts to sleep with Wade comfortably snuggled next to him.

Notes:

Had like 4 different identity reveals planned and 3 of them pre-written out for this fic, I just picked one. Hope it’s okay.

Chapter 13

Notes:

Mostly dialogue

There is sex in this chapter but it’s non-graphic. Starts after Wade’s “that just sounds like a good time.” And is just that little paragraph. :)

Chapter Text

The men wake up around that same time, Wade’s inability to stay still waking Peter up. Peter can feel his boyfriend’s face smashed into his back as his arms are pulling him in close.

“Hey” Peter’s voice is hoarse from having just woken up.

“Mornin’ hotstuff” says the muffled voice behind him.

Peter pries Wade’s hands off him and turns so they are facing each other. They lock eyes and both smile before Wade pulls his boyfriend in for a loving kiss.

Peter is the one to break the kiss, mumbling. “It’s morning, so I guess I owe you some explanations.”

“Yeah, I guess you do, psycho. Honestly though, I understand most of it, and now that I think about it, the signs were there. I guess my biggest question is just. When did you start liking me? Was it when you met me as Peter, or was it before that?”

“Definitely before that.”

Wade seemed surprised by that answer. Spidey liked me? “How long?”

“I don’t know, a while. There isn’t a start date. Just happened over time. I knew I’d never say anything as Spider-Man, too much on the line. And I wasn’t actually sure if you seriously liked me or not, so I wasn’t going to take the chance. Then you met Peter and it felt more… real?”

“Yeah that makes sense.” Wade takes a second. “For the record, I was serious about liking Spidey too.”

“I know, I’m just .. dumb I guess” Peter sighs.

“Dumbest smart guy I know” Wade moves his hands to Peter’s hips pulling him in slightly.

Rolling his eyes, Peter says. “There aren’t exactly textbooks on how to handle the complexities of interpersonal relationships between masked vigilantes”

“You could probably write one on ‘what not to do’”

“Fuck you.”

“That just sounds like a good time” Wade pulls Peter directly on top of him so his boyfriend is straddling him.

Peter looks down at Wade with a fond smile, before he leans in for a kiss. Peter’s body still hurts in a lot of places but it’s something he’s willing to ignore right now. They move quickly and soon, after some half-ass prep and heated kissing, Peter is riding Wade. They hadn’t been in this position before, Peter likes when Wade decides to take control by grabbing his hips and thrusting upwards. Wade, now knowing his boyfriend has enhanced healing as well, decides they will make a morning of their activities to see how many times he can make Peter cum. The answer: a lot. Painfully so. But that’s their business.

Peter is in Wade’s kitchen in his boxers and the hoodie he lovingly trafficked from his boyfriend. After this today’s escapades, modesty isn’t really necessary but Wade’s apartment is cold as fuck. He’s making himself a bowl of cereal as a late afternoon snack, when he sees his phone ringing on the counter next to him.

Aunt may is calling. Quickly before he answers he calls out to Wade in the living room. “Wade, wanna meet my aunt?”

“Yeah! Aunts love me!”

Peter answers the phone, “Hey May, sorry I haven’t called. What’s up?”

“Just calling to check up on you dear, I know you’re busy with your boyfriend, but you really should come by. I don’t want to be forgotten about with Christmas coming up. I’d love to meet him.”

Damn I forgot Christmas is this month, I’m still worried about my last two days of the semester this coming week. I still need to get Aunt May a gift… Wade too I guess. “Uh, yeah we actually just talked about it, he’d love to meet you too, this coming weekend okay?”

“That sounds perfect dear, we can catch up then. Love you, see you soon.” Peter didn’t even get a chance to say ‘love you’ back before May hung up.

He moves his way out of the kitchen with his bowl and slides next to Wade on the couch. “Dinner with May next Saturday, best behavior.”

“I am always on my best behavior.” Wade pouts, feigning innocence.

“Knowing you and hearing that is incredibly concerning.” Peter can tell that Wade does seem a bit nervous though so he eases up, “She’s going to love you, I promise.”

They spend the rest of their day just lounging, playing some video games. Peter definitely gets too heated during the shooting game, so they switched to something more peaceful and start a farm together in Stardew Valley. Peter really should be working on end of semester things before patrol but that’s a problem for tomorrow Peter.

Chapter 14

Notes:

I was gonna do one big long chapter but I broke it in two so i will have the next one out pretty soon.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Ugh Monday. Peter thinks that waking up to Wade pressed into his back hasn’t gotten old yet, he loves it, but it does make the whole ‘I have to get out of bed and go to work’ thing a lot harder. Plus he happens to be a little behind on work things so he’s dreading it even more. Two more days of work then a small break. Actually, today is the last day of finals for his students so tomorrow will be mostly filled with other stuff.

Peter slowly and carefully maneuvers himself out of bed to not wake the sleeping pile of bricks next to him. Why he did not wake up to the alarm is a mystery. He then quietly pulls clothes out of the drawer Wade had given him to use and slides into the bathroom. He takes a shower, brushes his teeth, and gets dressed before emerging. For a beat he thinks about walking back into Wade’s room to give his boyfriend a goodbye kiss but decides against unnecessarily waking him up.

Peter walks into the living room/kitchen area, and it already smells like coffee. His bag is sitting along the wall next to the couch. He bends over and quickly shuffles through it, making sure he has everything he needs.

Wade's voice behind him makes him jump and stand up straight “I like the view.” He didn’t know Wade had gotten up, had been in the kitchen, and is now staring at his ass.

Peter turns to Wade and sassily says “take a picture, it’ll last longer.”

“I just prefer the real thing.” Wade shrugs. He hands Peter a tumbler and a lunchbox with a smile. “Here. Coffee and lunch.”

Wade packed him a lunch and made him a coffee to-go. That’s so fucking cute. Peter took a second to look at what his boyfriend just handed him and his warm smile fades into a deadpan. “Wade, I am not bringing a Spider-Man lunchbox to work.”

“Why not, baby boy? What better way to hide an identity than in plain sight? Who in the world is going to think Spider-Man is some boring nerdy professor carrying a lunchbox with his face on it? Genius!”

Peter laughs, rolling his eyes. “Okay insults aside, that’s actually true and kind of funny.”

So he goes to work, with the Spider-Man lunch box, and yes, he feels weird about it the whole time.

His last two days before winter break roll by without any problems, his work finished, all of his students did great this semester (he’s very proud), and he’s ready for a little break. The little bit of extra free time he gets during breaks is always nice, most of the time a little lonely, but nice. Usually he just ends up getting bored and does some extra Spider-Man-ing, but this time he has someone to spend his free time with. Wade decided not to take any jobs in December so that him and Peter can spend the holiday season together as a couple. It’ll be nice.

Peter feels a little nervous about introducing Wade to Aunt May this week. Not because he thinks that May won’t like Wade, more because he’s always done a good job at keeping everything Spider-Man and Peter Parker separate. And, well, now it’s not. Deadpool is becoming as much of a household name as Spider-Man is, since they work together so often. But it gets tricky because Wade has not been nearly as careful about his identity as Deadpool as Peter has been about Spider-Man. That’s why they’ve agreed to keep it strictly professional when in their suits. If people start connecting dots about the closeness of the two masked vigilantes, finding out who Wade is wouldn’t be that hard, making it very easy to figure everything else out. This is now a dangerous game he is playing and Aunt May is not an idiot.

The men agreed to not tell Aunt May that Wade is Deadpool. Which seems like the best option but to Peter it feels like his life is just constantly a web of lies. Why can’t things be easy?

Time passes and now it’s Saturday. Peter can tell Wade feels nervous but is making an effort to not show it and be his usual light-hearted self. He’s stated a couple times that he’s ‘not normally the type people bring home to family’ he frames is as a joke but is obviously very insecure. Not telling Aunt May that he’s Deadpool means that he can’t wear his mask which is making things a bit worse. Usually can feign confidence if there’s something to hide behind, but he has nothing now.

“Do we have to bring anything? Should I bring something? I can make something really quick before we go, or I can pick up a bottle of wine. Does she like wine? What about flowers? I don’t know how to be a good guest. Let’s pick up some flowers.”

“We can pick something up on the way if it’ll make you feel better but we really don’t have to bring anything, Wade.”

They stop and get some flowers because it does make Wade feel better, not coming empty handed.

They finally reach May’s apartment and climb the front stairs. Stalling right outside the door, Wade looks at Peter. “Last chance to spare your poor aunt and ditch me. I’ll go home, you can tell her that I got sick or something. Enjoy a nice night, and keep me far far away from anyone you love.”

“Can’t really keep you away from yourself, dork. But if you really don’t want to do this, you can go home, I’ll make something up. You gotta decide right now though, I’m about to knock.”

Wade got stuck on Peter’s first sentence. “You just said you love me.”

Peter shrugs. “Yeah, I guess I did. I’ll say it again for real. I love you Wade. Now, are we doing this or not?”

Suddenly all of Wade’s nervousness melted away, “I love you too Pete. I - yeah let’s do this.”

knock. knock.

Notes:

Yeah, so I was gonna put their time at aunt May’s in this chapter but I wanted it to have its own chapter. So I just made this one a weird like, shimmy to get to the next chapter. So yeah. Next chapter is Aunt May’s house. Will be coming soon. I just gotta get the dialogue how I want it. Thanks for reading.
