Chapter 1
Notes:
All drones are going to be sized up! The Kaiju Drones (aka Worker Drones) are 5ft and above at least. Which means Uzi gets a height increase of about 1 foot! (Her canon self would be seething lmao)
Chapter Text
[Breaking news! Another nuclear power plant has melted down!] A news reporter said, coming from a video on a computer screen. [Officials say that it was a fault within the system, causing the meltdown. Thankfully, no Kaiju Drones were harmed in the panic of shutting the plant down.] He went on.
“Yeah right. ‘A fault within the system’ my fluffy ass.” A girl’s voice scoffed bitterly.
The sound of a wheeling chair heading towards the computer came, a sharp raptorial leg pressing the space bar. A pair of moth wings, large and nearly twice the size of the drone herself, fidgeted.
“It’s just a damn cover up. A lie for what really happened.” The girl continued, sipping on a can of oil. “But I know what had caused the ‘meltdown’! And it certainly wasn’t any ‘faulty wiring’, or whatever!” She then exclaimed as she slammed her can down.
The girl got up from her desk, heading over to her bed. Her feet, shoeless and clawed like a bug’s, trotted over to her closet. Opening it up, she pulled out a jacket and backpack. Both were shrugged on quickly.
“I’ll go over there and get some cold, hard evidence to show all my viewers that that wasn’t a mere accident!” She proclaimed, her fuzzy white and grey abdomen twitching.
Clipping on her bag between her wings, the Mothra Kaiju Drone hurried out her bedroom door. She grabbed her beanie from the stairs banister and picked up her house keys from the table sitting just before the front door.
Stepping out of the house and locking it, the Mothra Drone Uzi Doorman spread her large wings wide before flapping them. With a few good flaps, she was soaring through the sky. The lavender purple fluff all around her neck bristled in the winds. Her also-purple, fern-like antennae whipped against the top of her royal purple tresses.
The Mothra Drone flew past slower-flying Kaiju Drones, whizzing right by in a hurry. Some become disgruntled, but the young adult Kaiju Drone could care less at the moment.
Uzi turned her bright lavender gaze downwards, gazing at the city below. Kaiju Drones of all types milled about, to work, to cafes, to restaurants, to tiny markets, to going home.
Turning her gaze back up, Uzi increased the flapping of her wings, speeding up. Her trip was going to take quite a few minutes, but with her great flying skills, she’ll be there in no time!
“Just wait! I’ll get the evidence needed to show that this wasn’t any accident!” She told herself again, sounding confident and determined. “In fact, I’m sure this ‘meltdown’ was caused by only one type of drone!”
“A Titan Drone.”
Uzi landed down quietly within the tree line. She trotted up towards the front, taking out a camera and readying it. Also taking out a pair of binoculars, Uzi looked around to see who might be lingering. Her antennae twitched as she sensed for the presence of anyone else.
There weren’t any police nor clean-up crew members. The nuclear power plant looked totally abandoned. The only thing there was the remains of the broken-into facility and the caution tape creating a barrier around the place.
Not that Uzi cared very much. She hopped over her bush and ran towards the site whilst putting her binocs away. Once up close, she took a few pictures of the outside area. Shrapnel, debris, some ashy bits, nothing too unusual.
“To the untrained optic!” Uzi told her camera, which she was now recording with. “But if you’re anything like me, and have been studying the elusive Titan Drones for some years now, you’d know just what to look for!” Her triumphant grin was hidden behind her camera.
Looking around through her silver device, Uzi took note of anything that seemed even relatively off. There wasn’t too much, at least not here. It led her to traveling farther in, hopping over rubble and watching her step around sharp metal bits.
“The police and news all say that this was just another ‘nuclear meltdown’ but I highly doubt that.” Uzi spoke to her camera. “Does this place look all blown-up to you? No! It doesn’t!” She exclaimed, looking all around.
Lifting up a small chunk of rubble with her secondary moth arms, Uzi let it fall back down after finding nothing. She carried on, making her way towards the center of the place.
“Guys! Look!” She spoke to no one in particular. “Claw marks! Huge ones, too!” The Mothra Drone pointed out, a secondary arm smoothing against it lightly.
“Yeah. There’s no way this was yet another faulty machine thing.” Uzi said, turning to head towards the nuclear melting pots. “And if my hunch is right -and it always is-, then the nuclear waste and fluid must be-!” Her voice stopped suddenly for effect, running down a ramp.
“-Gone!” She exclaimed, stopping right at the edge of the catwalk and looking down.
Below her was an empty nuclear reactor. There was a little bit of nuclear waste goo left, but certainly not enough to be useful.
“This is just like in all the other power plants!” Uzi told her camera. “Each one of them had been broken into, and then all the nuclear reactors were sucked dry! Like an oil pouch!” She noted.
“And look! There’s even some more claw marks on the other side!” She pointed out with a pointing raptorial claw, her camera sliding up and zooming in.
True to the young Mothra Drone’s word, more large gashes lined the edge of the ruined tank. It also looked like it was torn open with the way the metal looked to bend and have been physically ripped.
“Maybe I can find some more evidence, like bite marks or something.” Uzi murmured, turning back the way she came.
Looking around some more and making some idle chatter for her fans once she edits and uploads the video, Uzi searched around for anything more she can use as evidence these meltdowns were nothing more than lies covering up for what were actually attacks.
More gouges were found, as well as a wall being broken inward instead of outward. The Mothra Drone even found some odd scrapings on a cement wall, like some really tough sandpaper was ground against it. But it wasn’t until she got to the back that she found something akin to pure gold to her.
“HOLY SHIT!!” Uzi cursed loudly. “Are you seeing this, guys?! It’s a footprint!” She all but yelled as she ran over, her wings fluttering in excitement.
Turning her camera down, Uzi zoomed in on the print. There were four claws, with the outer toes being the smallest. The center one, the second toe, was the biggest and had the deepest gouge.
It also looked elephantine in nature with how wide it was. Not much like a T-rex, the back half was rounded. This was clearly made for firm support on the ground for something particularly heavy.
“This is undeniable proof that all the nuclear power plants had been attacked by something!” Uzi shouted giddily. “Perhaps the news wants us to think nothing’s wrong other than old machines needing maintenance, but I’m not falling for it! Not at all!” Uzi declared.
Taking a quick glance around, Uzi searched for more tracks. She found another print some feet away, deciding to see how far she could follow it. She of course recorded every footstep she found, but as soon as they reached the grass, the steps all but disappeared.
“Stupid grass. Covering my amazing find…” Uzi grumbled, stomping back the way she came. “Whatever, guys. At least we have some damn good proof that this havoc was done by none other than a Titan Drone!” The smile returned to both her lips and her voice.
“But I should probably stop here,” She said, stopping in her tracks just before the police tape. “I don’t wanna get caught, and I have no idea when someone might return.” The Mothra Drone said.
“This is DarkWolf podcast here with yet another amazing find on the nuclear power plant attacks and more evidence that the elusive Titan Drones do! In fact, exist!” She started to bid farewell, zooming in on the ruined remains of the nuclear facility. “And now this is Darkxwolf17, signing off!” She finished, pressing the stop button on her recording.
Lowering her camera, Uzi stared at the remains through her optics and not her recording device’s lens. She still couldn’t help but think there was something more to this, all of this.
Like why are these places being attacked? Why nuclear power plants in specific? No other place has been ransacked for things, not even the gas stations! And how do the Titan Drones get around so quick? They are definitely big, do they maybe just have super speed?
These were all questions Uzi has been trying to find answers to. But she can’t get them without finding a Titan Drone herself. So for now, she’ll have to settle on proving their existence.
Turning around, Uzi scampered back into the woods. She found her backpack, shooed away all the wild robo-roaches with her wings, and clipped it onto her back. Leaping into the air and spreading her flying limbs, she started making her way back home.
Uzi realized she was out much later than she first thought, the sky colored orange and yellow as the sun was setting. Uzi clicked her tongue and mentally cursed, speeding up again to make it back home before nightfall.
Not only would her dad be pissed at her, she also doesn’t want to know if any Titan Drones are nocturnal hunters. Plus, she could easily get caught by some winged Kaiju Drone policemen and be taken into custody because she was out too late.
Uzi rolled her optics at the thought, flapping her mothy wings harder. She was starting to feel the exhaustion of her constant flying, her wings starting to tire out. Uzi shook her head, continuing to push herself.
By the time Uzi got home, the sun was nearly all gone. She cursed herself for somehow slowing down without realizing it too late. She can only hope her dad either isn’t home from work yet, or hasn’t noticed her ab-
“Uzi Doorman! Where have you been?!” Nevermind.
The said female drone flinched, her antennae flattening against her head before falling limp like her wings and four arms. She turned for the living room, meeting her father’s disapproving and stern glare and crossed, muscular and black-furry arms.
Khan, much like, literally everyone else in this city, was a Kaiju Drone. The great ape Kong, specifically. Which meant he looked much like a gorilla, down to the overabundance of dark fur being everywhere.
“III was… Taking an evening flight??” Uzi said back in a questioning tone, holding her four arms behind her back as she rocked on her insectoid feet.
Khan’s glare didn’t ease up, only seeming to deepen. Uzi could feel the sweat drop trying to blink onto her visor, though she wouldn’t let it. But her father then sighed tiredly, rubbing his visor in much the same way.
“Uzi, did you sneak out to visit that recent nuclear power plant meltdown?” He asked, really hoping he was wrong.
“What?! Of course not, dad! Why would I go to someplace so dangerous?!” Uzi inquired back, her smile wavy and nervous.
Of course, Khan didn’t believe that. He knew his daughter far too well by now.
“Uzi, how many times do I have to tell you not to go sneaking around places like that?!” He asked her, tone more worried than angry. “What if you get caught by the police?! Or get hurt doing something stupid?!” He went on, brows furrowing.
“As if!” Uzi scoffed with a roll of her optics. “Besides! It’s not like I can’t fly my way out of harm’s way!” She added, twitching her wings for good measure.
“What if the danger is in the air? Or is faster than you can fly?” Khan inquired, his hands sitting on his hips. “It’s still far too dangerous, and you shouldn’t even be around those parts, anyway!” He continued, motioning mildly with one hand.
“Ugh! Stop being such a worrywart! I’m fine, and I’m always going to be fine!” Uzi retorted, turning for the stairs.
“Uzi! Don’t walk away from me!” Khan told her. “Have you even eaten since you went out?!” He then asked in more worry.
“Yes! I drank some oil before I left!” His daughter called from the stairs.
Khan sighed again, his muscular shoulders sagging in defeat. He knows he can’t control his daughter, but he really wishes he could control her dangerous, risk-taking habits.
“It’d sure reduce a hell of a lot of the stress she causes me…” Khan murmured, heading for the kitchen.
While he did that, Uzi locked herself in her bedroom once again, already at her computer and downloading her new footage onto it.
“Alright! Let’s get this thing edited!” She uttered excitedly to herself, staring determined and eager at her editing software.
Here's Mothra Uzi! A few other characters will also get refs, though not everyone since some characters might appear, but only as minor roles. Uzi also has more fluff on her back and the bases of her wings, it's just unseen since this is a front-view. Her butt is also fluffy as well, so do with that information what you will lol.
Chapter Text
Uzi’s recent podcast episode had gotten quite the positive reception! She’s glad more drones are tuning in to hear all her theories and look at the evidence she’s been accumulating against the news and power plant companies.
With the undeniable evidence she’s found recently, it’s going to be quite hard for all those outlets to keep avoiding the truth! And since Uzi knows they will, she’ll keep gathering more evidence debunking them all!
After work, that is.
Uzi sighed as she finished putting a generator back together. A sigh blew past her lips as the Mothra Drone sat back, staring at the ceiling and leaning on her oily hands. The entire garage smelled of motor oil and grease, something Uzi’s gotten so accustomed to smelling that she barely can anymore.
“Finally got that generator working?” Someone asked.
Uzi turned her head to see Thad coming over towards her. The Anguirus Drone handed her a stained towel to wipe herself off. Taking the offered item, Uzi stood up and let her wings twitch.
“I’m about to find out.” She told the spiky-backed drone. “By the way, you’ve got some nuts stuck on your crown of thorns.” She informed him with a mild gesture to his head.
“I know! I just needed someplace to put them without losing them, haha!” Thad laughed back, plucking the tiny metal bits from his head spikes poking out of his hair. “You gonna try turning on the generator now?” He then questioned as his spiky and hard-plated tail waved.
“Yup. Just gotta put some gasoline in it and pull the string.” Uzi replied as she stood up.
Grabbing a canister of gas, she poured some into the tank of the machine. Capping it back up, she flicked a switch and started pulling on the string. Multiple rounds of the engine trying to start up reverberated across the room. On the fourth attempt, it finally sprung to life.
“Hey-ey! You did it!” Thad cheered, fistbumping his friend.
“Of course I did!” Uzi smugly replied, her three other arms resting on her hips. “Now that I’ve finally got this son of a bitch working again, I can send it back to its owner and get paid!” She cheered herself, her wings fluttering.
“Sounds like you’ve been looking forward to this.” Thad chuckled.
“Of course I have!” Uzi exclaimed back with jerking wings. “With this paycheck, I can get myself a brand-new camera! All my footage will look ten times better!” She went on in an excited rant.
“Oh yeah, you’ve got that uh, that podcast thing going on, don’t you?” Thad wondered, already knowing the answer as a sweat drop blinked onto his visor.
“The only one around that actually sees through all the LIES that the power companies are trying to spew at us!” Uzi retorted with crossed arms.
“I-I’m sure it is…” Thad scratched his cheek nervously. “But uh- Don’t you think it’s a little, I dunno, dangerous to be doing that kinda thing?” He asked her, his tail swishing anxiously.
“What do you mean?” The Mothra Drone asked, turning her optics towards her coworker.
“I mean, I doubt the power companies are very happy about your podcast, and you’re starting to trespass. If you get caught, you’ll be arrested!” Thad pointed out.
“I always make sure to wait a few days before trying to explore, dude!” Uzi defended.
“I don’t think that really matters-” Thad tried to say.
“Besides! I can fly right out of there! They won’t catch me if they aren’t as fast as me!” Once again, the Mothra Drone looked smug.
“But-” Thad once more tried to argue.
“Anyways! I’m gonna get this thing packed up. I’ll cya later, Thad!” Uzi bade farewell with a wave as she turned off the generator and started wheeling it away.
Thad opened his mouth to say something more, but couldn’t. He watched as the spunky Mothra Drone walked off, sighing in defeat as his spiked shoulders fell.
“I really worry about her sometimes…” The Anguirus Drone muttered to himself.
Uzi glided over a chain fence, landing on the ground and proceeding to take a quick look around. She didn’t sit still for long, jogging further into the restricted area. She took out her camera, turning on the night vision.
Crouching down inside a bush, Uzi prepared to wait. She plopped her backpack onto the ground, checking to make sure she had everything. All her food, oil, a jacket, a flashlight, battery unit for her camera, she had it all!
Taking out her notebook, Uzi flipped through it. She reviewed her recent theory, that a Titan Drone would be coming by for this power plant specifically.
“I swear there’s a pattern here.” Uzi whispered to herself. “And I think it’s that all the power plants so far have been the big ones, the ones that make the strong stuff.” She went on.
“If we go down the list, both the size and output of nuclear power decreases. Whatever this Titan Drone is doing, it’s already measured which plants have the most and least power.” She concluded.
A smile then spread across Uzi’s lips, her gaze returning to the nuclear plant before her. If she was right -and she always is!- then the Titan Drone should strike here next.
“Which is exactly why I’ve planned a stake-out tonight, hehehe!” Uzi giggled to herself, hiding deeper in the bush.
If she can get footage of the Titin Drone in the midst of it attacking the building, this’ll prove without a doubt that these ‘meltdowns’ are anything but! All Uzi has to do is stay up long enough to catch the drone on camera.
“And with the amount of energy drinks I brought, it should be a piece of synthetic cake!” She said as she pumped her fist, looking very sure of herself.
Despite her mothy tendencies, Uzi’s head was starting to loll as she kept waiting for something to happen. She didn’t want to doom scroll on her phone in case she missed something, and she didn’t want to go to sleep for the same reason. Not to mention either activity could get her caught by guards.
Uzi was then startled into full awakeness by a loud crash. Springing up into a straighter sit from her slouched position, she whipped her head about for the source. Sirens started going off soon after, various Kaiju Drones running from the building.
Realizing this is what she’s been waiting for, Uzi shook the leaves from her head and scrambled around for her camera. It was too dark to see, her hands and raptorial legs blindly grasping about for her device.
Another loud crash, this time accompanied by a small explosion. Uzi finally found her camera then, but the staff had begun running into the forest right by her, too. Uzi ignored them, hopping out of her cover and towards the commotion.
“The hell are you doing?! We need to get the hell out of here!” Someone said, grabbing Uzi’s arm.
“W-Wait! But I have to film the Titan Drone!” She exclaimed, dropping her camera from the sudden jerk.
“You’re gonna get yourself killed!” The man said, continuing to pull her away.
“MY-Y CAMERA!” Uzi yelled, realizing she’d dropped her precious device. “I need my camera, so let me the hell go!” She then directed at the male drone, yanking her arm from his grasp.
A slight sting flared in her bicep, the guy’s hands being clawed. Uzi ignored it, running back towards her hidey bush. She picked up her backpack and took out her flashlight, searching for her camera.
“Turn that thing off?! Do you want us to get caught?!” Some woman screamed, smacking the torch from her hands.
“My flashlight!” Uzi yelled, her antennae jerking up and her head whipping towards where it was sent flying.
She ran towards her light instead, quickly finding it since it was luckily still on. Other drones tried to avoid her as best they could, leaving tons of space between them and the Mothra Drone.
Running back to where she last had her camera, Uzi searched all around for it. Finding it took far longer than she wanted to admit. Once she had her device though, she raced towards the concrete building.
Uzi bolted in through the front door, searching all around for the halls leading to the fusion or fission or whatever energy-creating machines. Something being torn apart led her down the right side hall.
The lights above flickered until they went out completely. Uzi turned her flashlight back on, continuing to run down the halls. Making a sharp turn, she raced towards the door at the very end.
Barging in, Uzi already had her camera at the ready. She’d freeze in place, eye lights going hollow and her wings freezing.
The whole room was torn apart, the Titan Drone having looked to have come in on a rampage. Ceiling lights were dangling by their wires, machines were gouged into, cooling water was spilled all over the floor, many walls were caved in, visible waves of heat simmered from the main nuclear energy pot, whatever it’s called.
Uzi walked further into the room, feeling her dark clothes get warmed up. Sweat drops blinked onto her visor, both from nerves and the heat. She looked around as she walked, staring at the wreckage.
Remembering her goal, she turned her camera up only to realize the footage was far too grainy and spotted. Uzi didn’t think about the radiation coming into here, ticking her tongue and turning off her dirty device.
“Maybe my phone will work.” She thought out loud, taking her phone out of her pocket.
Making it to the other side of the room, the Mothra Drone found the entrance and exit of the rampaging beast. She trotted over, looking for tracks of any sort. While flinging her torch around, the light got brighter but also was reflected by something.
Uzi’s eye lights widened at it, quickly changing course to follow the robotic beast. She was soon met with dry grass and ferns, groaning as she began shuffling through them all. As she got farther away, the light of her flashlight died down back to normal.
“Come on, come on!” Uzi muttered through grit teeth. “Just one glance! Anything I can get on my phone!” The Mothra Drone begged.
Uzi kept going, speeding up to hopefully find the Titan Drone again. The female Kaiju Drone didn't even realize when she’d entered the forest again, her focus so solely on finding the bigger robot again.
Her wings itched to just fly after it. Not only would it make the search faster, but maybe even easier. But Uzi didn’t wanna give herself away too much, instead sticking to blindly searching around on the ground.
Uzi suddenly stopped in her tracks. She spun around, searching for any sign of the Titan Drone. There was nothing. Not even an odd reflection of her light. Uzi then stood in place for a moment, panting.
She swallowed, her arm slowly falling back to her side. The Mothra Drone’s gaze fell to the floor, a raptorial leg rubbing along her injured bicep. Uzi hissed at it, forgetting she was cut.
Looking at it with her flashlight, Uzi saw that she was bleeding a little. She huffed, setting her raptorial leg back at her waist. Her wings twitched and jittered in annoyance, a feeling of deep frustration and fury rolling over her.
Without a second thought, only an angry one, Uzi threw her flashlight into the forest. She proceeded to kick away a stray rock or two, faintly hearing them clatter against a tree. She wiped the frustrated tears from her eye lights before shrieking out to the sky.
“THIS IS SO STUPID!!” She hollered. “ROBO-GOD, JUST-!” Her sentence stopped on its own.
Uzi puffed, her fists clenched tight at her sides. Her wings continued to vibrate and flick in anger. Even her antennae were vibrating from the sudden wave of pure rage.
Hiding her vision with her hands, Uzi took a deep vent. She kept taking them, trying to calm herself down. It didn’t really work when she’s been trying to get actual footage of this monster for ages, and when she’s finally got the chance, it just up and disappears!
“How the hell can a giant fucking robot move so fucking fast!?!” Uzi asked in another yell, kicking at a stick.
She turned around to start stomping away when she heard the stick bounce off something. The sound made her halt.
‘...That wasn’t a tree it just hit…’ Uzi thought, all too familiar with the sound of metal being hit.
She turned her head towards where the stick went soaring. The Mothra Drone shuffled towards the light of her flashlight, going to grab it. Something rumbled from within the darkness of the overgrown forest.
Uzi froze, not moving a wire. Her eye lights went void again, this time from fear. She slowly took her phone back out, booting up her camera app. Turning on night sight, she lifted her device.
Uzi’s eye rings went bold.
She couldn’t make it out, not really, but she did know there was something lying in wait within the treeline.
SSKKRRREEEEEEEOOOOOOONNNKKKK!!!
And something else was here, too.

I love the onomatopoeia for Godzilla's roar lol. It's so goofy-looking.
Chapter Text
Trees broke as something was thrown into them. Uzi dashed her way through the overgrown forest, hopping over rocks and roots, pushing against trees for more speed, and feeling her oil pump pound within her chest.
She took one second to glance back behind her, spotting something tumbling towards her. She shrieked, her wings instinctively flaring out and flapping. Uzi was thankful for her instincts, having been saved from being crushed.
It wouldn’t save her from the rocky debris that struck into her back from whatever was stomping over. Uzi yelled in pain and fell, grunting as she met the hard ground. Scurrying back to her clawed feet, she got back up and started running again.
This forest was far too dense to fly in. Not without hitting some branch or another, anyway. All Uzi could hope was that she found some sort of open area to finally break for the winds.
The monster that was thrown, looking to be more of a crawler than a walker, tried to scramble away. Uzi could hear it as it screeched in fear, something grabbing it and dragging it back.
Uzi ignored the pained sounds and harrowed howls. She kept running, her clothes and plating becoming filthy. She couldn’t dare look back again, or else she might get caught.
A loud crash, the high-pitched sounds of tearing metal, splattering fluids, more animalistic noises. One of the two beasts behind the Mothra Drone came barreling right by her, rolling on the ground.
Uzi caught the thing’s eye, the ovular light hyperfocusing on her now. With a newfound fright, Uzi flared out her wings again in a defensive stance, her raptorial arms lifting up to look as threatening as possible.
Of course, when you’re so much smaller than however big that thing is, it doesn't have much effect. Which Uzi cursed because now the thing was going after her. Uzi could barely make out a mawed, pale face. More skull-like than rounded, she even noted.
Now being targeted like the prey she probably was, Uzi attempted to flap her wings to avoid its narrow jaws. She ended up hitting a tree, hurting her wing and not being able to escape in time.
Things went dark for Uzi as those metal-rending jaws bit down on her.
Uzi gasped as she awoke with a start, popping right out of her purple and white, pill-like state and in her larval form. She looked down at herself, patted her frame with her few tiny arms, then cursed and hit her bed with a fist.
“I FRIGGIN’ DIED!” She shouted in angry offense. “Damn it! Stupid Titan Drones…!” She continued to curse as she crawled out of her comfy nest and onto the floor.
“Wait a minute! MY STUFF!!” Uzi then shrieked in horror.
She quickly scuttled towards her chair, struggling to climb onto it. As soon as she could, she turned on her computer to check everything. She’s lucky she put a little tracker device thingy in her backpack in case it ever gets lost or stolen.
But to her unfortunate dismay, Uzi’s tracker didn’t pop up. She tried refreshing the app, searching up her specific tracker, everything she could think of. But that little green dot didn’t show up.
Uzi sighed in somber defeat as she laid her chin on her desk. If she had to guess, she lost pretty much everything. Her notebook, her camera, her phone. All of it gone, just like that.
“Maybe this whole thing is worthless…” Uzi muttered.
Things went quiet after that, the night still late and her father most likely asleep. Uzi stared at her desk in dismay, her tiny, pointed limbs dangling limp. She took a glance up at her monitor, hoping that familiar green dot would pop up.
But her wishes wouldn’t be given, as nothing continued to happen. Uzi sighed once again, her sights turning to some cords connected to her PC. They were used for her camera, to transfer the video files so she could edit them for her podcast.
As the larval state Mothra Drone kept staring at them, an idea started to cross her CPU. If she can transfer the video files of her camera, could she transfer the memory files from her CPU?
Uzi wasn’t sure it would work due to her whole reincarnation mechanic thing she’s got going on, but she does retain her memories from her past-... Life? Body? Whatever it is, so maybe she could use those!
O-Of course, it’d be far easier to do such a thing when she’s got actual arms to do it with…
“Uzi… Did you die somehow?” Khan asked as he poured himself a cup of oil coffee.
“Maybe.” Uzi muttered back, stretching out her renewed limbs.
“Can I ask how?” Her father continued, a brow quirked up.
“...Garage accident…” Uzi lied, averting her gaze to fix her cropped, periwinkle sweatshirt.
“Uh-huh…” Khan nodded as his gaze narrowed, definitely not quite believing her.
“A-A machine had just fallen right over me! It’s not like it hasn’t happened before!” Uzi argued, walking past him into the kitchen.
“I guess not…” Khan sighed, remembering when he’d seen a car fall right on top of his daughter when she was fixing it.
Uzi took out a bowl, some computer chips, and the nectar jug. Sitting at the table, she made herself some breakfast to munch on as she tried to mental math transferring her memory files onto her computer.
‘I’m sure I could do it. I wouldn’t even be surprised if there’s some medical procedure or another that’s similar to it.’ Uzi thought, eating her nectar-covered chips. ‘I just need to make sure I have the right cords.’
“I’m heading off to work. Don’t get yourself into any trouble, Miss!” Khan sent her a stern glare.
“Robo-Ancients, dad! I’m a grown adult! Stop acting like I’m still a child!” She told him.
“Sometimes I think you might still be…” Her father grumbled back as he shut the door.
Uzi huffed an annoyed sigh and rolled her optics, her antennae and wings jerking in agitation. Returning to eating her breakfast, she quickly scarfed down her bowl before putting it in the sink.
Returning to her room, Uzi checked what type of socket she had in the back of her head. Looking through all of her wires, she pulled out the right one and connected it to her head.
Logging into her PC, Uzi booted up her transfer files and started to sort through them. The process was far easier than she was expecting, though she’s also just connecting herself to her own computer…
Either way, Uzi selected the files she needed and started to download them. There was an odd feeling in her CPU as she made copies, something akin to a tingling sensation like electricity zipping across it.
Uzi gave a light shake of her head, ignoring the feeling and watching the green bar slowly snake across the tiny pop-up. While waiting, she pulled up her browser and checked the latest news articles.
All of them were talking about how there was another ‘meltdown’. Uzi huffed at seeing them repeating the same lie over and over. She changed to checking different social medias. Again, the news outlets spewed the same bullcrap.
“Do literally none of these guys know how to say something else for a change?” Uzi asked herself.
Scrolling through the tag correlating to the nuclear power plants, Uzi gazed at the posts made. Different drones were giving their theories and opinions on the whole fiasco, the fear evident about the entire thing.
The Mothra Drone’s eye lights would go wide and her antennae would perk up when she came across one post, however.
There was a picture attached, blurry from some swift movement, but still interesting nonetheless. It looked to be from atop some building, maybe through the window of a house. Creating a diagonal line in the sky was a bright blue, thick beam.
Uzi’s optics squinted, as if it would help her make out just what this huge line was. It surely couldn’t have been some sort of explosion from the plant, that was for sure.
Reading at the caption, it said ‘i saw this while the plant was blowing up. but it doesnt look like an explosion. does anyone know what this is???’.
Uzi scrolled down to the comments. More theories and wild guesses, but the general consensus was that no one knew a thing.
The loading bar window popped back up, startling the Mothra Drone. Her files were done transferring, which meant she could start editing them for her next podcast episode.
Uzi grinned, excited at the new -if scary- evidence and prospect at getting closer to finding out the truth about this whole thing. She did want to check back by where she died to see if any of her stuff lived, however.
Taking the cords from her head, Uzi moved to get up. Yet she halted in her tracks just as she leaned over, her toe joints pushing on the ground and her hands just about to help lift her up.
She felt something prod at her waistband. The inside specifically.
‘Ah. Right.’ Uzi thought. ‘Reincarnation thing.’
Uzi slowly sat back down, stared at the floor with possibly the blankest expression she could ever put on. A hand moved to lightly press against her stomach, feeling that familiar but hidden mound.
The Mothra Drone covered her face with her hands, her antennae drooping and her wings shaking. After about a minute, she suddenly got up with a deep intake of her vents.
“I hate this.” Uzi muttered, heading for her nest beside her bed. “I hate this. I hate me. I hate my body.” She went on, ditching her clothes.
“I hate this. I absolutely hate this. Why the hell am I like this.” Uzi continued her rambling, taking a pillow from her bed. “This is stupid. Why am I like this. Why do I need to be like this. Literally why couldn’t there be any other way-” She sat down in her nest, made of blankets, comforters, and rounded cushions.
Uzi laid herself down, got into some comfy position, buried the lower half of her face plates into her cool pillow and held tightly onto it with all four arms. She took a few deep vents, bringing up her ‘reincarnation code’, as she calls it. Selecting what is basically the start option, Uzi waited for the fucking agony that is to come.
“I fucking hate my life…” Uzi whined, her frame tensing and wings jerking as she felt her first contraction.
He can’t believe he let such simple prey get away. That tiny thing was a free snack, yet he lost it to a damn Skullcrawler. How embarrassing…
Not to mention the damn thing was so desperate for food that it tried to attack him whilst he was in the midst of eating. Surely this thing cannot be that stupid? Well, he supposes extreme hunger will make you do things.
A snort left his metallic nostrils, mist puffing out. His heavy footsteps pounded against the ground as he dragged the Skullcrawler’s limp body along. The thing’s oil created a trail behind him, the tiny robotic bugs and lizards crawling over to lick at the stained rocks.
Making it to his den, he walked all the way towards the back. He had to drop the body and get onto all fours, dragging in his recent kill with his teeth. Heading towards the back where his comfy nest lie, he again dropped his catch.
Large, thick-clawed hands pried at ruined metal. His mouth opened wide, head lunging towards the inside of the carcass. More oil spilled, flowing down his chin and speckling the ground.
Wires snapped and machines were torn out, all to be chewed up and swallowed. The creature’s core was not even spared, holding plenty of radiation for the amount lost in the fight.
The grotesque sounds of something being eaten echoed throughout the cave, yet the predator was unperturbed. Even smaller critters were not so easily grossed-out by such a thing, waiting for the dead body to be left outside and abandoned.
It still frustrated him, though, to be interrupted like that. And for losing such easy prey to this thing. Well, he supposes he still has the bug’s scent, her oil now memorized.
He’d actually smelt it from a bit farther back, but the Skullcrawler was in his way and had tried to disturb him from eating. The damn thing needed to pay, to be taught that he was the top predator around here.
Plucking the last of what was edible and tasty from the corpse, he dragged it back outside. Scaled feet and clawed hands dug into the ground, stopping just before his den’s entrance.
The empty body was tossed outside where the other tiny creatures could snack on. He turned back into his cave, his long tail swaying. Returning to his nest, he lied down and got comfy. He closed his bright blue optics, letting a full tank lull him into rest.

Tfw you're a Mothra and then you die and then you gotta do Mothra things 😔
Chapter 4
Notes:
Fun Fact: Mothra’s Song from Godzilla: KOTM was sung by Elsie Lovelock, Uzi’s VA! So it actually becomes a little more fitting that she’s a Mothra in this au lol!
Chapter Text
“Stupid-ass rebirthing mechanic…” Uzi grumbled, treading her way through the long grasses. “Having to fucking give birth to myself every time I die. What the actual hell.” She kept going, searching for her stuff.
She’d returned back to the power plant after laying her egg to finally get her stuff back. Maybe. Possibly. Hopefully. Uzi has no idea if the monster that killed her tore through her backpack or not, though she’s hoping they didn’t.
Reaching the place where she'd died, Uzi was quick to find her body. Well, what remained of it, at least. Ignoring the oily sight, the Mothra Drone turned to look for her backpack or any of her other things.
Sifting through the taller grasses rewarded her with her binoculars, albeit they were cracked on the lenses. She also found her notebook, though it was filthy with dirt and leaves. No food seemed to remain, most likely pillaged by wild robo-critters.
“At least I have my important stuff.” Uzi muttered, referring to her notebook. “I’m not sure I’ll be getting my flashlight back anytime soon though.” She let out a disgruntled hum, turning back.
She kept searching the ground though, trying to find her camera. Her luck seemed to have totally run out however as she couldn’t find heads nor tails of it. Uzi clicked her tongue at her misfortune. That camera was expensive, you know!
“Then again, I was gonna just replace it.” Uzi said to herself, still searching carefully. “But it’d have been nice to see if I could trade it in or something.” She added, a furrow to her digital brows.
From her continued search, Uzi found her backpack. Her phone wasn’t turning on, so she’ll have to try charging it at home. Not to mention the cracked screen. Hopefully that’s just the protector, though. Nothing else seemed to have survived, unfortunately.
Having gotten what she could, Uzi turned to leave. She huffed as she walked, crossing her raptorial legs over her chest as she juggled holding the rest of her things. The reminder of her deathly experience passed by her, damage done to trees, the ground, rocks, and oil splattered in various places.
Uzi made sure to take good, long looks. She can use this as more evidence that the Titan Drones exist and add it to her podcast.
Sighing, the Mothra Drone kept going, making it back to the nuclear power plant. It wasn’t any more or less damaged than it was before. Uzi shook her head, intending on heading back home.
Yet the various claw marks in the ground caught her attention. Her gaze trailed towards them, following the trail. A few footprints could be made out, scraping against the ground. It led towards the back of the plant. It looked to be part of the battle that had gone on.
Uzi stopped in her tracks, staring at the trail and prints. Her legs started to move on her own accord, following the markings. She knew she should be getting home, yet her curiosity was too strong.
Going over to a random bush that was relatively clean of dirt or oil, Uzi hid her stuff. She only took the binoculars and flashlight with her, as the latter still worked.
Going back into the forest, the young Mothra Drone followed the path of destruction. The spilled oil reflected the sun’s light, more fluid that most certainly couldn’t be oil splotched in places. It made her feel uneasy, but Uzi kept going.
She passed where she’d died, continued forth along the trail. She took note of anything and everything, spotting many markings. Some were frantic, others were calculated, a couple looked like missed attacks.
“This must’ve been one brutal fight.” Uzi spoke to herself softly, eye lights gone void at fallen trees.
As she delved deeper into the forest, it seemingly got darker. It felt like Uzi was entering some dangerous, unknown place, like a never-ending storm was brewing just in front of her. It made a shiver crawl down her spinal ridge, yet Uzi kept going.
The jungle-like forest got denser and denser, unusually so in Uzi’s opinion. She swore she was going to have to break out the flashlight midday, which was odd to think about.
Climbing over an old, fallen tree, Uzi followed the trail of oil and a mysterious fluid. The sun looked to finally be returning, peeking through the canopy of thick tree branches and many leaves.
The Mothra Drone’s walk kept going. It felt like she would be walking forever at this rate. The urge to start flying was strong but the trees were too close. Uzi cursed the forest for being so stupidly dense.
Her gaze then trailed up towards the leafy canopy. A realization came to her, one that she even cursed herself for not thinking of sooner.
Uzi flapped her wings, grappling onto a nearby tree. She climbed up, using her raptorial legs and clawed toe joints to help her out. She made it to a tree branch, hopping up to a higher one, then another, and another, and one more to reach the top.
Breaking through the tiny branches, Uzi hovered in place with her flapping wings. She looked around, finding that she was much farther from the plant than she first thought. Did she loose track of time? It’s possible…
Shaking her head, Uzi turned it back the way she was going. There was a lot more forest to trek, and she’s very glad she has wings in this moment. Without another wasted second, Uzi started flying in the direction she was following.
Her flight most certainly sped up the path she’d been tailing. Within several minutes, Uzi had to stop and pause at the place she’d reached. A brow quirked down on her visor as she stared.
There was a cave entrance tucked inside a mountain. It looked large enough to fit an eighteen-wheeler, yet there was no asphalt road. Uzi descended closer to it to inspect it further, finding the path she’d been following now pretty much gone.
Making a quick check around, Uzi didn’t find anyone around. Turning back to the cave, it was completely dark on the inside. It made her uneasy, how a place could be so dark even in the middle of the morning.
Taking out her flashlight and tucking her raptorial legs closer towards her frame, Uzi entered the cavern. Stalagmites and some minor moss greeted her, the latter quickly disappearing as she delved deeper.
Markings from claws lined the walls and towering rocks. Some minor oil and mysterious fluids speckled the ground. A few shiny rocks littered the floor, glinting against her flashlight.
Uzi’s fluffy antennae jittered, her wings twitching. Ignoring the unnerved feeling in her tanks, she kept walking through the cave. Things were quiet, not even water droplets dripping into tiny puddles sounding out. The only noise was Uzi’s own steps and vents.
She wished her camera actually worked right now. She’d be making the discovery of the century right now! Does anybody else even know about this cave?! She doubts it, to be honest.
Uzi shook her head again to refocus. She sped up her walk, making a light jog through the large tunnel. Whatever’s at the end of this must be something huge.
“How… The hell… Is a cave… SO DAMN LONG!?!” Uzi shouted in fury.
She’s been walking for what feels like hours. Most likely, considering her trot through the forest earlier. With an angry growl, Uzi stomped through the tunnel. She was tired of seeing the same damn marks over and over again, ignoring them all by now.
At least Lady Luck seems to have blessed her just a tiny bit again, as Uzi saw a speckle of light at the end of this never-ending cave. She smiled wide, her wings flaring out as she flew the rest of the way through the cave.
Reaching the other side in record time, Uzi flapped her wings to suddenly pause. She stared out at the sight before her, even more stunned then when she’d first found the tunnel.
It looked like a paradise. Like some vacation paradise, to be specific. Well, sorta.
There was a large beach, what looked like tanning rocks right by it, plenty of flora and foliage for eating and shade, a whole garden of flowers and fruits, a dusty prairie, and multiple smaller caves.
The one thing Uzi took note of the most, however, were all the Titan Drones.
They came in various shapes, sizes, builds, and colors. But of course, Uzi could tell they were huge compared to a Kaiju Drone like her. Not that it particularly deterred her, but still.
The sound of a helicopter coming near startled the Mothra Drone. She quickly flew down and landed in a tall tree. Gazing through the shaded canopy, she watched the flying vehicle, accompanied by some flying Kaiju Drones, carrying something in a big bag of sorts.
Once it was by the beach, it slowly descended down. Hovering just above the blowing sands, the winged Kaiju Drones unclipped one side of the fabric and let its contents fall. It looked to be food of various kinds, organic and synthetically robotic.
Uzi did a double-take with her binoculars. Was that… An official government vehicle?? A-And were they feeding these guys???
Looking through her binocs again, Uzi saw many Titan Drones running for the food. The helicopter lifted back up and began flying away. Uzi could only stare dumbfounded at what she just saw.
‘So-... The-e government knew?’ She questioned mentally, staring after the flying vehicle.
She quickly turned her sights back to the pile of fresh snacks, already completely raided by now. But with the delivery came fights, too. Quite a few Titan Drones were scrabbling for scraps and forgotten grub.
A few of the tinier Titan Drones who tried to get away with something were either squashed flat by a much bigger drone, or were eaten without remorse. It was a gruesome sight that Uzi wasn’t all too privy with.
A rumble stirred her from her Titan Drone watching. Looking down, the Mothra Drone saw a particularly angry-looking Titan just below her. Sweat drops blinked onto her visor in plenty.
The much larger drone rammed its side into the tree, making Uzi fall right out with a yell. She thankfully and quickly caught herself with her wings, flapping them hard enough to gain air.
The beast snarled at her and gnashed its teeth, its furious red eye lights sharp and narrowed onto her. Uzi laughed and pointed at it in a taunt.
“HA! YOU CAN’T GET ME WHILE I’M FLYING, CAN Y-!” Buuuut she was interrupted when a dark red, scaled, bird-like Titan Drone grabbed her right from the skies.
Uzi had died before she even knew it.
With a startled gasp, Uzi unrolled into her larval form. She looked around, a tad bit dazed but mostly confused. When it clicked in her CPU, she made a particularly loud and foul-mouthed string of curses that would make even sailors blush.
“I WAS RIGHT FUCKING THERE!!” She hollered to her room, scuttling out of her nest. “I CAN’T BELIEVE I DIED! AGAIN!” She went on.
“Stupid fucking Titan Drones! I did literally nothing, those assholes!” She continued to curse, crawling into the kitchen. “Next time, I’m so getting them back for that! Whoever had killed me!” She swore, opening the fridge with a spit of sticky thread and a good tug.
Uzi took out the carton of nectar with another pull of thread. Closing the fridge, she returned to her room and climbed back into her nest. Getting comfy against some pillows and pouting, Uzi unscrewed the cap to her nectar, took a straw from between her cushions, opened the wrapping up, and stuck it inside the carton.
“Just wait till I expose you all! We’ll see who’s going to be coming after me then…” She grumbled, drinking her sweet flower juice as she waited to ‘grow’ back up.
As about a minute or two passed, her angry expression lessened. Her slurping slowed down until Uzi paused, taking the straw from her mouth. A pensive expression crossed her features then.
“I wonder what had killed me…” She mumbled aloud. “It was obviously a Titan Drone, but one that could fly. I think all I saw was a blur of dark red and the feeling of something very hot.” She went on, tapping some tiny pointed legs against her stomach.
“Even more importantly, that helicopter had dropped off food to those guys. There’s something more here than even I thought there was…” She trailed off, her brows on her visor furrowing.
Uzi shook her head, returning to sipping on her drink. First, she should focus on growing her frame again. Then, get her memory files copied and transferred to her computer. After that, she’ll have to make her next podcast.
It was a lot of work, and it made Uzi sigh at knowing how busy her schedule had suddenly become, but it’d be worth it for the sake of science and the truth.
“It has to be…” Uzi muttered. “Otherwise, what was mom doing research on for so much of her life…?”
Chapter Text
“Did you hear the new podcast?”
“The footage looks so real…”
“There’s no way it can be real, dude!”
“Do Titan Drones really exist?”
“What else can create those marks and footprints?”
“I wonder why the nuclear power plants are being attacked, though…”
Uzi smirked at hearing and seeing all the whispers on the streets, the truth finally being put out there for all to see. She was slowly changing their minds, getting them all to see that there’s something more here than ‘nuclear malfunctions’.
Jogging through the busy sidewalks, Uzi made her way to the edge of town. She didn’t want to be spotted, so she walked and wore her greenest clothing. Which… Wasn’t a lot.
At all.
But she can worry about that later! Uzi has much more important things to do, like getting back to that weird Titan Drone paradise, or whatever it is!
‘But let’s head to the tech store first.’ Uzi told herself, making a quick turn.
With her new camera in hand, Uzi trotted through the forest. She made it to the cave, quickly entering inside. Before she left the house, she made sure to take a small bag and to double-check that she laid her reincarnation egg.
‘I’m so fucking glad I can reincarnate myself.’ Uzi thought. ‘Though, I wish I didn’t have to go through the pain of birthing an egg.’ She added bitterly.
Shaking her head, Uzi flew through the cave, cutting the time of her first trip here in half. Once on the other side, she gazed out at the overcast fields. She was breathless for a moment, the place beautiful even with rain on its way.
Uzi’s fists balled and she moved in further, fluttering down the steep cliff she came out on. Once at the bottom, she made sure to keep checking her surroundings. She can’t let herself die here.
Twitching her antennae every now and then, the Mothra Drone jogged forth. Her wings jittered with dreadful anticipation, waiting to be flapped so she could make a quick escape.
‘I can only hope that I can out-fly any flying Titans here.’ Uzi thought, a sweat drop on her visor.
She crouched behind a few large rocks, taking out her camera. Turning it on, she gazed around through it. Uzi made sure to get good shots of the Titan Drones nearby, those big and small.
Of course, she also wasn’t privy to staying in one place for too long, so she was quick to get a move on. And lucky for her too, as a large Titan Drone was thrown into the rocks she was hiding behind.
Uzi moved quickly from one hiding place to another, narrowly avoiding death each time. She didn’t allow herself the split-second to sigh in relief, only continuing to get as much footage as possible.
“How much will be enough though?” Uzi muttered to herself, checking her camera’s plentiful battery. “I would like to get a decent amount of Titan Drones on camera at least…” She trailed off in thought.
The ground rumbling in time with steps stirred her from her thoughts. Uzi turned from her cover, gazing up at a huge Titan Drone. Her glimpse would be just that, however, as the thing started bolting towards something.
Uzi swiftly lifted her camera to get the thing on footage. She grinned widely, watching as the giant robotic monster picked a fight with a Skull Crawler.
Her joy was ruined when something hissed above her, drool seeping to the floor. Uzi turned to stare up at a thin, lithe, simultaneous snake-bat Warbat Drone.
“Shit.” Uzi swore.
Her wings barely carried her fast enough through the air, dodging another lunging strike from the winged serpent. Uzi nearly got her wing clipped by his fang, just managing to barrel roll out of the way in time.
The Mothra Drone spotted a mantis-like Kamacuras, flapping her wings harder towards it. Whizzing by, she managed to get the Warbat Drone to knock right into it and start a fight. Uzi didn’t stick around, not even to record, as she flew away.
Landing in a tree to catch her vents, she came to the quick conclusion that it was a very bad idea. Many spider-like Kumonga Drones peered down at her hungrily. Uzi was just as quick to leap from the tree and into the skies.
Only, those weren’t much of a solace either as Rodan Drones tried to nab her. Uzi squeaked and shrieked as she fluttered around all of their attacks, the bigger drones even getting into fights with one another.
Uzi landed roughly onto the ground in an attempt to escape, only to have to start running again as a Skull Crawler came after her. She even swore it was the same one who’d killed her before…
Either way, her life was short-lived as a different Titan Drone squashed her flat.
Returning to Titan Paradise, as Uzi will call it from now on, she managed to get her camera back. She also came to the conclusion it’d be too risky to keep it out here, as it could get broken -Again.
Burying her stuff under moss, leaves, and sticks in the cave entrance, Uzi returned to the expanse of Titan Paradise.
And again, she didn’t get very far when a surprise Hellhawk grabbed her right out of the sky.
Avoiding EVERY Titan Drone she could, Uzi hurried across the forest and towards the dusty prairie. She ducked under Titans, skid across their stomping feet, dodged thrown debris from fights, and fluttered over lunging claws.
Finally getting back to the prairie, Uzi lugged herself over a rock, only to come face-to-face with a Mantleclaw. Uzi’s expression fell with an exasperated groan as the far larger robot lunged at her.
Since neither the sky nor the forest nor the prairie worked, Uzi tried a different approach in the form of the beach. The Titan Drones were smaller here, and while still dangerous, were definitely more manageable.
At least, Uzi thought so at first.
Turns out she’d be dead wrong when she found out that Scylla and Manda Drones came from the ocean. It was a very stupid and bitter death for her.
“I swear I’m going to run out of clothes…” Uzi grumbled, stomping her way across the dusty prairie.
Things were most certainly not going her way today, having already died more times than she ever cared to count (or admit). At this rate, she’s going to become so used to rebirthing herself that she won’t feel any pain at all when doing so!
“Well, that wouldn’t be half bad, actually.” Uzi muttered, taking refuge inside some bushes. “Maybe I won’t even have to push too hard, the egg’d just slip right out.” She went on, holding her knees with her four arms.
She took a look around, spotting the various Titan Drones of all kinds of shapes, colors, and sizes. Sizes that were still far larger than Kaiju Drones like her, but there was variety!
‘A variety that can kill me in one fell swoop.’ Uzi pointed out to herself, a light grimace on her features.
Shaking her head, she stood up from her cover. This time she appeared to have more luck, the Titan Drones mostly having disappeared. Uzi has no idea the reason why, maybe another shipment of food, but she’s glad for the break.
“I should probably check those caves before they get back.” Uzi spoke quietly to herself, flying over.
Staying near the trees in case she needed to hide, the Mothra Drone touched down by a large cavern entrance. She peered inside, hiding most of her frame with the wall. She couldn’t see anything inside.
Uzi kept her antennae twitching and searching for anything that could still be in here, or even outside. With no interruptions, Uzi hurried her steps inside the cave.
It was dark, but that wasn’t unexpected. The ceiling reached up high, ample room for her to fly around in and for some other Titan Drone to walk about. The feeling that something was still here made her uneasy, but she wasn’t going to back down now.
With shifting wings, Uzi continued to step deeper inside the dark cave. Her only light came in the form of the sun peering in from the entrance. It at least gave her enough light to adequately use night vision.
But before she could even turn it on, something growled. Uzi whipped her head around, trying to search for the sound. She couldn’t find anything, so she turned on her night vision to-
A pair of bright, electric blue eye lights blinked open in front of her. Uzi’s gaze trailed up, peering back at the black, marquise pupils with ringed eye lights of her own. She felt her joints lock up and her core freeze, her vents suddenly shutting tight.
Another growl, and the thing started to move.
Uzi turned right on her heel and flew right out of the cave. Yet she could hear the loud roar that chased after her, loud stomps accompanying it. Uzi beat her wings faster, blitzing past the entrance.
She turned, only to have to dodge a thrown rock. It knocked right into her wing, knocking her out of the sky anyway. Uzi fell with a heavy and reverberating thud, making her systems falter for just a moment.
Pulling herself together, Uzi yelped and rolled out of the way of a stomp. Scrambling to her feet, she ran for the woods. Her oil pump beat hard in her chest, her vents already searing from fear and exercise.
The Titan Drone behind her gave easy chase, running head-first into trees without a care in the world. Uzi was nearly squashed once more as a dark-scale plated tail slammed down in front of her.
Flapping her wings on instinct, Uzi was caught by a large hand. She began to struggle, the constraining hand keeping her painfully in place. When she felt hot snuffs of air against her, she turned her head up at the Titan Drone.
Uzi could feel the prickling, terrified tears in the corners of her eye lights. The beast’s mouth glowed bright blue, a hot energy formulating in its throat and chest somewhere. Uzi spit out a glob of sticky thread, making the other drone startle and release her.
The Mothra Drone wouldn’t let herself hit the ground again, swiftly flapping her wings to gain air. She heard the dark-scaled monster roar at her again, its tail smacking her right out of the sky.
Uzi screamed in pain as she hit a tree and then ground once more, feeling her plating dent and her clothes dirty. She stumbled to her feet in a heartbeat, avoiding a slam from a clawed palm.
Running back over to the caves, Uzi spotted cracking stalagmites above. She needn’t look behind her to know the Titan Drone was right on her abdomen. As she ran right under it, Uzi turned and spewed another string of thread.
As the Titan Drone ran under the stalagmite, Uzi tugged on the thread with all her might. Luckily for her, the large rock was loose enough to fall, landing right over top of the Titan Drone.
It bellowed in surprise, falling to the ground as part of the cave came crumbling down. Dust clouds billowed in the air, obscuring everything and making Uzi flinch. When the sound of falling rocks died down, she fanned the dust away with her aching wings.
Once it all cleared, the Mothra Drone was able to get a good look at the Titan Drone who wanted to make a snack out of her.
Along its back and tail were ridged, staggering plates, forming three rows at least. Its tail was long and segmented, the thick and rough scales dark like on the rest of its frame.
Its huge hands had equally huge claws. The thing’s fangs poked out from its lips, still threatening even now. And the robotic monster’s messy hair was a pale, dusty grey in color, the tips painted blue.
The whole thing left Uzi both speechless and breathless. The latter mostly because of fear and her near-death experience. In any case, Uzi opened her wings to fly right over it and back home.
But the Titan Drone’s visor booted back up. Uzi was met with bright blue eye lights once more. She felt her whole frame tense and freeze up, small lines curving just beside her eye lights in terror.
The Titan Drone arose, easily lifting the rocks upon its back and letting them fall. Uzi stepped back as she kept her gaze locked with the Titan Drone’s. The said robot snuffed, mist coming from his noticeable nostrils. His eye lights then narrowed in thought.
“Mmmm… Tiny wife…” It- He, muttered with a growl.
“...Wh-... What…?” Uzi asked back, not believing what she just heard.
The Titan Drone then leaned down, scooping Uzi up in his hand.
“H-HEY! HEY, HEY, HEY!! NO! NO TINY WIFE, NO TINY WIFE!!!” Uzi hollered, kicking her feet and thrashing about.
The Titan Drone ignored her, exiting the cave and sweeping some of the rocky mess away with his tail.
Heeeeere's Godzill-N!! And yay!! We finally see N! And he’s also 20 whole feet in this au! (Also yes, that is in reference to something lol. And sorry for the bad lighting, had to use flash at a weird angle so as to not get a nasty glare on the drawing.)
Chapter Text
Uzi was set down on a rock, the Titan Drone -a Godzilla Drone, Uzi notes- in front of her sitting back on his haunches. The two stared at each other for a few moments, Uzi with a sweat drop on her visor, and the Titan with narrowed optics.
Said huge robot huffed, leaning in all of a sudden and pressing Uzi into the rock. The Mothra Drone yelped, thinking she was going to be eaten again. But she didn’t feel the painful rend of her metal, nor be suddenly turned offline.
The Godzilla Drone nuzzled into her, his hands resting on the rock as he pressed his short snout against her. Uzi tried to push him off, but the far larger drone had far more strength.
A lick was then made across the entirety of her frame, leaving Uzi soaked and trembling. Her neck fur was sticking up and her antennae twitched with disgust. Her expression wasn’t much better, frozen in displeasure.
“This i-is… So disgusting…” Uzi muttered.
She was then nuzzled right back into, the Godzilla Drone huffing and puffing onto her. Uzi used every limb she had to try and shove the far larger robot off of her to no avail.
When she was finally freed, the Godzilla Drone stared down at her. Uzi stared back, clearly not all that pleased.
“Stay.” Was all the Godzilla Drone told her before turning around.
Uzi’s eye lights went void. She sat right up and watched him walk off. She was stunned for a few moments, wondering what had just happened. Uzi was quick to snap herself out of it, shaking her head and hopping off the rock.
She flew towards the entrance, being wary of any dangerous Titan Drones nearby. She was lucky this time around, getting back to the cave entrance without much trouble.
Picking up her stuff, Uzi took one last look at the Titan Paradise. Things were naturally chaotic, always messy and never peaceful. It was the complete opposite to the civilized life she’s grown up in.
Uzi huffed and ran back into the cave, making her way home. She’s already spent more than enough time here as it is.
Returning to the spot he had left his wife, Noji found that she was totally gone. He searched around, dropping the fresh kill he’d hunted just for her. Sniffing the air, he didn’t smell her oil.
He sniffed all around the rock, trailing her scent through the prairie. It was up high, meaning she had flown. Noji had to hope she wasn’t caught by another drone around here. And looking around, he didn’t see any Hellhawks or Rodans picking at a tiny carcass. Even so, he kept going, eventually being led to the mountain cave.
Her scent was still strong, fresh. Noji’s gaze narrowed, a guttural growl rumbling from his chest as he walked into the cave. He doesn’t know why his wife ran off like that, but she needs to come back so he can protect her.
And to perform his mating ritual.
Uzi was lucky enough to get home just before sundown. She headed straight for her room and closed the door, dumping her stuff on her desk before flopping onto her bed. She proceeded to groan loudly into her pillow, whining at the whole new mess she just got herself into.
All she had wanted was to get some good footage of Titan Paradise. She didn’t want to die nearly ten fucking times and then become a ‘tiny wife’ to some random Titan Drone! She doesn’t even know how or why he decided to make her of all drones his wife, but she supposes she isn’t single anymore!!
Uzi turned her head up, staring at her wall pensively. She… Doesn’t know whether or not she should be happy she’s technically in a relationship now… Even if… It was kinda just thrown onto her…
Hrm…
The Mothra Drone’s thoughts came to a halt as she noted the sound of rumbling. Not like an earthquake, but more like footsteps. Growing confused, Uzi got up from her bed and stumbled down the steps. She swore that the rumbling was getting worse…
Opening the front door, Uzi was greeted by the Godzilla Drone’s face.
She slammed the door closed.
Noji snorted, his optics narrowing at his wife trying to keep him out from her… Strange-looking den. He busted the door down with a flick, making his wife scream. Deciding to feel guilty later, he stuck (read: shoved) a hand inside and grabbed her.
Taking her from her den, Noji held his wife close. She wasn’t all that happy, but he knew it was because she just didn’t know him yet. Once she sees how strong and capable he is, she’ll want to stay as his mate for sure!
Noji stood back up, making his way back to his home. He wasn’t a big fan of coming here, only for the radiation caverns. All the tiny robots got on his nerves, and he hates being stared at like how they are now.
With a huff, he used his tail to sweep away unwanted observers. They cried out and ran, more making room in front of him. His wife kept yelling at him, but he ignored her for the time being.
Making his way towards the forest, he held his wife secure and firm by his chest. He felt her feet kicking at him, and her wings jerking about. Not only that, but she was getting louder. It was honestly starting to annoy him, as much as he hates to admit it.
“Quiet.” He told his wife, bringing her up to his face.
“Hell no! You just kidnapped me!!” She hollered back.
Noji growled out a grumble, his expression falling. He wasn’t kidnapping her, just retrieving her so he could perform his ritual! Those were two completely different things!
“I’m not ‘kidnapping’.” The Godzilla Drone voiced his disagreement.
“Like hell you aren’t!” His wife shouted back. “If you weren’t kidnapping me, you wouldn’t be taking me from my own house!!” She added.
Noji stared down at her, eye lights narrowed in thought. He still wasn’t quite sure what she was going on about. Her home is now his, as is his home is now hers. If he’s taking her back to his home, he’s taking her back to her home as well.
“I’m taking you home.” Noji told her.
“You just took me from my home!” The Mothra Drone ground out.
“My home is yours, and your home is mine. We share.” Noji clarified, starting to walk again.
His wife kept silent. Maybe now she understood he was being a good mate and taking her back to her rightful den.
Uzi stared up at the Godzilla Drone in shock. He calls her his ‘tiny wife’ and now she’s suddenly living with him? What the fuck is this guy on?! She’s afraid to want to try it herself at this rate!
The sound of a helicopter took her attention away from her thoughts. Uzi looked up, as did the Godzilla Drone. There were a handful of the aforementioned flying vehicles, and another handful of government trucks.
The Godzilla Drone huffed in annoyance, a snarl forming on his lips. The cars stopped a few yards away, one of the doors opening swiftly.
Out stepped a female Muto Drone, her hair red-brown and held in a ponytail. She had four large and almost insectoid arms pressing against the ground, helping her as she walked. Her bare feet had two thick claws on the toe joints.
Her lips were pointed like a beak, yet never protruded. On them was a layer of stark orange lipstick, just like her bodily lights. The unknown Muto Drone woman also wore a grey business suit, an orange tie included.
“Ya’ve got something that doesn’t belong tah ya, Noji!” The woman with an apparently southern accent called into a megaphone.
‘Noji’ growled back, Uzi able to feel the vibrations run all throughout her frame from being pressed against his chest. His bright blue eye lights flickered into a horizontal hourglass-like shape, all straight lines.
The woman clicked her tongue, stepping forward. Noji growled louder, his tail whipping into some trees and breaking them.
“Stop it with tha temper tantrum! And put tha kid down!” She called again into her megaphone.
“Hey! I’m not a kid! I’m twenty years old, thank you!!” Uzi called angrily back.
“Oh yeah? Well Ah’m nearing mah damn fifties! Yer’re like ah toddler tah me!” The woman retorted.
Uzi gasped in offense before trying even harder to break herself free. She demanded that Noji let her go so she could kick the unknown Muto Drone’s ass. But still, Noji refused.
“My tiny wife!” He snarled, leaning Uzi away from the cars.
“Tiny- Oh mah Ancestors…” The woman groaned, rubbing her visor. “You! Girl!” She then pointed.
“I’M NOT A GIRL!! I’M A WOMAN!!” Uzi shouted back.
“What tha hell did ya do?! How tha hell did ya become his mate?!” The woman ignored her other statement.
“How should I know?!” Uzi hollered back.
The older drone growled, her stare focused on Uzi. Noji wasn’t a big fan of that. His visible core glowing even brighter as the back of his mouth started to ignite in energy. The woman took note, her eye lights going void.
“EVERYBODY! SCATTER!!” She commanded, already running.
Uzi whipped her head up to Noji, only to watch him fire off a hot and blinding blue beam of radioactive energy. A few blue rings formed around the beam as he trailed it across the area.
Trees, rocks, grass, and more were utterly destroyed from the blast, blowing up, melting down, and turning to ash. Luckily for everyone, the government men had hit the floor as soon as the woman’s panicked call went out.
As the rumbling came to an end and Noji’s bright beam thinned into nothing, the said drone turned and ran. Uzi yelped, now even more scared than ever. She stopped trying to thrash about and free herself, simply not wanting to die again.
Reincarnation egg or not, this drone knows where she lives, and she might not be able to lay another egg in time before he comes literally breaking into her house to kidnap her again.
Alice watched Noji run off towards the mountain cave. She clicked her tongue and sent a glower the retreating Titan Drone’s way, but turned to her men to see if they were alright. Once they counted up their numbers, she hopped into a car and spoke into the radio.
“We found tha Godzilla Drone, but he’s got ah civilian girl with him. He says she’s his ‘wife’.” She said.
[What?! How?! When?! Why?!] The man on the other side spoke frantically.
“Hell if Ah now, Ron! Just tell everyone we’re gonna need some back-up. Noji is apparently possessive.” She hissed, already feeling exhausted.
[U-Uh-! Will do!] Ron replied.
The radio cut off, Alice all but slamming it down onto the car console. She pinched her visor, a guttural and tired growl escaping her voice box. An army man slipped into the driver’s seat, ready to go when she was.
“Are we going after them?” He asked.
“...Ah suppose…” Alice sighed, buckling in. “When we get near Noji, let’s slow down. We don’t want tah startle him.” She advised.
“Will do, Ma’am.” The soldier replied.
Returning to his home fields, Noji slid down the cliff and hopped with a heavy thud onto the ground. He didn’t stop for a second, continuing to run across the prairie and towards his den.
Other Titan Drones either scurried out of his way or watched him bulldoze by, squashing tinier Titans without a care in the world.
Uzi noticed how all the Titan Drones now seemed wary of him. They kept their distance and merely observed, some even trying to hide. It made another sweat drop blink onto Uzi’s visor, but she ignored it in favor of Noji stopping.
He set her back down on the rock he’d left her at before. The Godzilla Drone then looked around, trying to find something. He made an annoyed huff when he couldn’t find it, looking at the dusty field.
Uzi didn’t try to run, not this time. The fear that this very dangerous drone would kill her for it made her sit on her knees, only now noticing her dirtied clothes.
“Right. That fight…” She muttered to herself, rips and tears and loose threads littering her shirt and shorts.
Figuring she wasn’t going to get out of here anytime soon, Uzi used a raptorial claw to take some thread from her mouth, a pair of hidden mandibles coming out as well to guide the produced silk. She carefully started to patch up the tears, at least making sure her shirt would survive longer.
It wasn’t long before she looked up, getting startled from Noji staring intensely down at her. Yet when Uzi recovered from clutching her core, she found a look of curiosity on his face plates. His eye lights had returned, now wide as he stared at her shiny silk.
“What?” Uzi asked, her tone not all that pleasant.
Noji’s optics flicked up to her before returning to her thread. He snorted a light huff of air before getting up, trotting away again. Uzi watched him, now just more confused than ever.
“Whatever. Since I’m stuck here, I might as well fix up my clothes.” She grumbled, returning to stitching up her rips with her silk.
‘Hopefully those government guys can get me the hell out of here soon.’ She added in her thoughts.
Notes:
The symbol on Noji's visor is the Monarch logo from Monsterverse, btw!
Chapter Text
‘What do females like?’ Noji thought, searching around.
As far as he knows, they like big, strong mates who can protect and hunt for them. They also like it when they’re gentle but still fierce. Someone who’s brave, too. Noji’s positive he’s all those things, so that shouldn’t be a problem.
The only thing left is to impress her. He figures a good kill will suffice, to not only show off his strength and prowess, but also that he can protect her if needed.
With a snort, Noji started to trot along the beach. As he caught the sight of a Scylla Drone, his visor flickered to the horizontal hourglass figure. When he got close, he let out an audial-piercing roar.
The Scylla Drone could barely even turn before getting tackled into. The crabby, shelled thing flailed, its long legs trying to pierce into Noji. He smacked its legs out of the way, slamming into it with his tail.
The Scylla Drone shrieked as it fell, scrambling back up. It lunged and grappled onto Noji, wrapping its tentacles hiding its beak around his neck. The aforementioned beak attempted to gnash into his plating, Noji keeping it at arm’s length.
He let out a strangled roar, running towards the nearest rock. Noji ran right into it, bashing the other drone into the hard edge. The Scylla Drone shrieked again, letting the Godzilla Drone go.
Noji roared one more time into the crab-like drone’s face, grabbing it and keeping it pinned. He charged up an atomic breath, quickly letting it fire off right onto the robot.
It made one last dying, pained bellow before it blew up into goopy bits and shrapnel. Oil and melted metal splattered all over Noji and the beach sands. He let his atomic breath die out with a growl. Licking some of the oil from his face, he picked up the corpse and dragged it away, now without most of its upper torso.
“Finally! Damn!” Uzi exclaimed quietly, finishing patching up her clothes. “Once I’m home, I am so going clothes shopping…” She muttered, patting her newly-fixed clothes down.
The Mothra Drone then heard some bushes rustling behind her. Whipping around, Uzi stared at the foliage. There was a tense moment of relative silence, some sweat drop now adorning her facial screen.
Her wings and fluffy antennae twitched. Uzi moved to get up, only for the Warbat Drone to lunge at her. Uzi screamed and flinched, falling right back onto her ass. She attempted to hit the thing out of instinct, though her tiny fist didn’t even make it nudge.
Not that she needed it to because the snakey robot had suddenly paused right before her. Its mouth hung open as its optics narrowed onto her. After a moment, its tongue flickered out in front of her.
The thing’s optical lights went hollow, the WarBat Drone immediately backing up in fear. Uzi stared quizzically at it as her arms slowly fell and her wings untensed.
The Warbat Drone kept backing up, now hesitant to even go near her. In one swift movement, it turned on its heel and slithered back into the forest. Uzi was left in bewilderment, simply staring befuddled at the creature’s odd behavior.
“Any other time it’d love to kill me…” Uzi muttered.
The sounds of cars speeding up to her alerted Uzi in the other direction. She sighed at seeing the familiar government vehicles, though she only now noticed the horizontal hourglass on the hoods of the jeeps.
“Took you long enough.” Uzi said as the cars stopped.
“We wouldn’t even be here if ya didn’t go poking your damn antennae around places ya shouldn’t be!” Alice yelled, stepping out of the vehicle.
“Well, maybe, if you guys didn’t keep giant fucking secrets like this whole place, I wouldn’t have gone snooping!” Uzi argued back, her wings jittering.
“We kept this place outta tha public optic for ah damn reason!” Alice retorted, her fists balled up tight at her sides. “Now, we’re gonna take ya home, yer gonna forget about this entire thing, and yer gonna delete EVERYTHING related tah this place and tha Titan Drones off tha internet! Do ya understand?!” Alice commanded, eye lights hollowed in rage.
“What?! Hell no!” Uzi shouted. “I’ve worked my ass off looking into this thing! And for so long! Like hell I’m gonna delete it all or pretend it ‘never happened’!!” She said.
Alice growled, her eye rings emboldening. Her secondary limbs even twitched, urging to stomp on the ground. But she wasn’t a child, so she took a deep vent in and controlled her anger.
“Listen, yer in over ya head here,” Alice started, her voice much calmer. “Ah can’t be givin’ out classified info, but just know there’s dangers that come with this place.” She told the Mothra Drone.
Uzi’s glare deepened, not believing the Muto Drone. Alice sighed in agitation, physically feeling her oil pressure rise. With another calming vent, she spoke again.
“Ah get ya’ve been snooping around about this whole thing for ah long time now, we’ve known it-” Alice started again.
“What wait-” Uzi tried to intervene.
“-But trust me when Ah say that this isn’t somethin’ ya want tah get mixed up in!” The Muto Drone continued. “Just come with us and we can take ya home! And we can help wipe all your research off tha internet!” She pleaded.
Uzi’s expression and posture fell a bit, a sweat drop scrolling down her visor. As her wings made another twitch, the sounds of heavy footsteps could be heard approaching. Everyone turned their heads towards it, finding Noji coming back.
And when the Titan Drone finally saw the government vehicles and drone, he snarled and started running over.
“Hey, Noji! Noji!!” Alice called, her hands moving in a placating manner.
The Godzilla Drone only responded with a mighty roar, scaring away other nearby Titan Drones. Alice, Uzi, and everyone else flinched and covered their audials.
Noji stood between Uzi and the government officials. He roared at them again, dropping the desecrated Scylla Drone corpse. When it ended, he stepped back closer to his ‘tiny wife’ and encircled her with his tail.
Alice stared up at him, only to spot the dead Scylla Drone. She let out a shriek, now freaking out about the dead Titan Drone.
“DID YOU KILL THE SCYLLA DRONE!?!” She bellowed, dropping her accent from the shock.
“Don’t touch!!” Noji snarled loudly.
“WHY THA HELL DID YOU KILL ‘EM?!” Alice asked, gesturing to the dead robot with all of her available limbs.
“It’s for tiny wife!” Noji replied, still baring his sharp teeth.
“That’s for me?!” Uzi asked, appalled.
Noji turned around, sending one last glare to the government officials. His fierce expression fell into a -somehow- more puppy-like one as he kneeled down and stared at Uzi.
“You need to eat.” He said. “This is for you.” Noji added, picking up the carcass.
Uzi stared in absolute disgust at it, frozen in place from the gruesome sight. Noji didn’t seem to notice, only tearing off one of the tentacles from near the Scylla Drone’s mouth. He plopped it in front of the Mothra Drone.
“Oh… My Ancestors…” She muttered in repulse, holding her hands to her mouth.
Noji cocked his head, clearly confused about her reaction. He heard Alice sigh behind him, making him turn and growl at her.
“She ain’t gonna accept it, Noji.” Alice said, sounding more tired than ever.
Again, Noji growled at her. And again, Alice sighed.
“Ya know, there are way better options than her.” The Muto Drone said with a point.
Uzi’s optics turned to the older woman, sending her an offended glare and growl.
Noji was just as offended, herding his wife close with his arm as he snarled even deeper. His tail started to swish about, Alice and her men needing to back up to avoid being hit.
“Listen tah me, Noji! All Ah’m sayin’ is that there’s way bigger, way stronger, way better Titan Drones out there!” She said.
“Can you stop acting like I’m bad at existing or something?” Uzi asked.
“Ah mean, what about that one Rodan Drone ya visit sometimes? Or tha Tiamat Drone? They’re nice fellas!” Alice went on, totally ignoring Uzi.
Noji’s glower deepened, tilting his snout up, as if he was disgusted at the prospect. He then suddenly squished Uzi against his metallic chest in a protective manner.
“Oh-” Uzi muttered, her visor going flush.
Alice felt a sweat drop scroll down her visor in worried stress. Letting the topic drop for now, her orange gaze turned to Uzi.
“Okay. Fine.” She spat, pinching her visor. “Keep tha damn Mothra Drone. Like Ah could give a Doug Drone’s robo-ass anymore…” She muttered at the end, turning for her jeep.
“H-Hey! Where are you going?!” Uzi yelled.
“Ah need tah make ah quick call, and yer gonna sit there as Noji does his thing!” Alice replied, sitting back inside her vehicle.
Her men all did the same, even backing up their vehicles. Uzi called out to them, starting to freak out again. Once they were a few yards away, they stopped. Noji’s tense posture fell some, returning to his mate.
The Godzilla Drone nuzzled into her again, leaving another sloppy lick along her frame. Uzi yelped out in disgust, shivering at the warmth and sudden coldness that followed.
“And you’re still covered in freaking oil!!” Uzi whined, trying to wipe the slobber from her clothes.
Noji snuffed, nudging his snout into her back. Uzi fell over with another yelp. She tried to get back up, but the Godzilla Drone nuzzled into her back. He sniffed at her fluff and wings, his hot vents brushing all along Uzi’s body.
“Gaaaahh!! Get off already!” Uzi cried, struggling to crawl away.
“Stop strugglin’. It’s only gonna make this take even longer!” Alice called with a megaphone inside her car.
“Bite me!!” Uzi shouted back.
Noji finally lifted his mouth off her back. Uzi scrambled onto her clawed feet, trying to get some distance from the Titan Drone. But she couldn’t escape, Noji picking her back up again.
“For the love of our Ancestors, let me go!!” Uzi shouted and kicked her feet, her wings flapping about wildly.
Noji made a rumble, climbing atop the large rock. He then sat down and held Uzi up to his snout. As he started to nibble at the fluff around her shoulders, Uzi freaked out even more.
“HE’S EATING ME! HE’S EATING ME!! DO SOMETHING!!” Uzi hollered in fear.
“He is not, calm down.” Alice told her.
“HE’S FUCKING BITING ME!!” Uzi shouted in argue.
“Ya told him to.” Alice returned.
“IT WASN’T DIRECTED AT HIM!” The Mothra Drone yelled, an anger tick blinking onto her visor.
“He didn’t know that.” The Muto Drone responded, an amused smirk on her face plates.
Uzi glared harder at her, only to yelp as Noji nibbled a little too hard on her shoulder. Said drone whined and started to lick at her, trying to make up for hurting his wife.
“STOP, STOP! ALRIGHT, I GET IT! JUST PUT ME THE HELL DOWN!!” Uzi roared, kicking and shoving at the taller drone with her feet.
Noji stopped licking, staring down at the Kaiju Drone. With a small whine, he gently set her down. Uzi glared up at him, now soaked in Titan Drone slobber.
“Looks like she accepts tha offer, Noji!” Alice spoke loudly.
“What?! What offer?!” Uzi asked, whipping her head over to the woman.
“Tah be his tiny wife.” The Muto Drone replied.
“I DID NOT-!!!” Uzi screamed in rage.
Noji suddenly tackled her into the rock with his snout, nudging and nuzzling into her all over again. His long tail wagged fervently in his excitement. Uzi was almost crushed as he pressed his face hard into her front.
Alice sighed, putting down her megaphone in favor of her radio.
“Ron. We’ve got ah problem.” She spoke.
[Did the Kaiju Drone die?] He asked.
“No, she didn’t die.” Alice sighed. “She got mated.” She told him.
[...] Ron was silent. [She-... She got what?] He questioned in astonishment.
“Ya heard me.” The Muto Drone said.
[I-... Boss is gonna kill us…] Ron sighed in despair.
“Tell me about it.” Alice grumbled, her brows furrowing. “At least we don’t have tah deal with ah death, though.” She said optimistically.
[I think I’d rather deal with another Titan Drone-caused death than a Titan Drone marrying himself to a Kaiju Drone civilian.] Ron commented.
“Same here, Ron. Same here.” Alice slumped in her seat, staring miserably at the new couple. “This is gonna be ah pain in my ass.” She then spoke to the roof, tilting her head up.
[This is gonna be a pain in everyone’s asses.] Ron said.
Alice grumbled again, letting her arm fall into her lap.
“Robo-goddamnit, kid.” She muttered in stressed exhaustion. “Alright, Ron. Tell the Ladies of Paradise they’re gonna get a new Shobijin.” She told her coworker.
[Already on it.] Ron replied.
“Good.” Alice nodded despite the other drone not being able to see it. “Let’s hope she takes well to her new ‘job’...” She then said, watching as Uzi was finally released by Noji.
Chapter Text
“Where are we going again?” Uzi asked, her arms crossed.
“Infant Resort.” Alice replied flatly from the front seat.
“And just what is this place?” Uzi questioned, watching Noji running beside the group of cars.
“It’s basically tha headquarters tah this whole paradise. Should tha Titan Drones need maintenance or help with injuries, they go there for some R&R.” The Muto Drone explained.
“Uh-huh…” Uzi nodded and hummed. “And why am I going there?” She asked next.
“Because ya got yourself married tah Noji.” Alice answered.
“I’m not exactly sure what that has to do with anything.” Uzi retorted.
Alice growled and turned in her seat.
“Since you’re married tah Noji, he ain’t gonna let you out of his sight so easily. Besides, we also need tah get ya registered in our system and ah new change of clothes.” She snipped.
“Hey, don’t get all pissed at me! It’s not my fault I don’t know shit about this place! You guys are the ones keeping secrets here!” Uzi argued, her brows furrowing and wings twitching.
Alice made another growl, deeper this time. With a huff, she sat back down. The Muto Drone felt a wave of relief at seeing the large building on a nice beach slowly coming into view.
“We’re coming up on Infant Resort, Ron.” Alice spoke into the car’s radio.
[Alright! The two Shobijin are already waiting for you out front!] The unseen drone replied.
Alice put the radio back, waiting for them to get to the resort. It took a few more minutes, those of which Uzi thankfully stayed silent.
Said Kaiju Drone looked at the change in scenery. Gone was the messy expanse of various biomes all clashing into one big land, and arriving was a beachy oasis filled with fruits, flowers, sun, sand, and clear blue waves.
Uzi could see a few Titan Drones milling about and minding their own business. They weren’t aggressive at all, keeping their distance and going about their sunny day.
‘I wish all Titan Drones were like this…’ Uzi thought as her expression fell.
The government Jeeps pulled up to a huge and fancy resort. The front porch was massive, with the building being as big as an apartment building and as long as half a football field. Uzi supposes such sizes were necessary considering their residents.
Looking about, there was also some sort of garage-looking part off to her right. The doors were closed, so she couldn’t tell what was inside.
Looking to her left gave her the view of the nice beach and some giant, flat rocks. A few Titan Drones were sunbathing on the rocks. A couple babies were digging around in the sand.
“Welcome to Infant Resort! The Titan Drones’ paradise amongst paradise!”
“Welcome to Infant Resort! The Titan Drones’ paradise amongst paradise!” Two girls suddenly spoke.
Uzi startled and whipped her head towards them. Just a few feet away were two Fairy Mothra Droness, one cyan blue and the other cobalt blue. The twins wore special outfits, brick red two-piece dresses with fluffy white shawls over their shoulders.
They had sand-colored sandals. On either side of their fluffy headbands were flowers, the cyan girl’s pinky-red, and the cobalt girl’s orange.
As for their frames, they were identical to Uzi’s. The main difference was hair, lights, coloration, and wings and wing pattern. Otherwise, they looked much the same.
“I am Emily, Shobijin to a male Muto Titan Drone.” Emily introduced with a bow, her high pigtails held by sand-colored hair ties.
“And I am Amelia, also Shobijin to the same male Muto Titan Drone.” Amelia mimicked her sister, her low pigtails dangling.
“These two are in ah similar situation as ya.” Alice told Uzi. “Tha way they ended up marrying ah Titan Drone was far different, but ya all have tha same job in tha end.” She said and put her hands on her hips.
“Wait- Same job-?” Uzi went to ask.
“Despite how Noji looks, he’s quite the sweetheart. I’m sure he’ll treat you well and keep you safe from the more hostile Titan Drones.” Emily interrupted, now straightened.
“The ones that hang around here aren’t anything to worry about, however. I’m sure they’ll warm up to you with time!” Amelia chimed in.
“Okay, but what about that job thing-” Uzi tried speaking again.
“Come with us! We’ll give you some new clothes!” Amelia said, taking Uzi’s arm.
“After that, we’ll show you around and get you acquainted with the Titan Drones here!” Emily said right after, taking Uzi’s other arm.
“Wait- M-My question- Hold on- HOLD ON-!” Uzi panicked, unable to get out of their surprisingly strong holds.
The Mothra Drone was taken inside the building, Noji whining at her departure. Alice scoffed and shook her head, all while crossing her arms.
“Calm down! She’ll be back!” She told the Godzilla Drone.
Noji retorted with a tiny growl, glaring at the Muto Drone. Clearly, he was still angry about before.
“Uhm. Why am I wearing the same outfit as you guys?” Uzi asked, having just come out of the changing room.
“Because! You’re a wife to a Titan Drone now!” Emily replied cheerily.
“That doesn’t explain literally anything.” Uzi told her flatly.
“Just tell her the truth, Emiloo.” Amelia huffed and nudged her twin.
“That is not my name!” Emily exclaimed.
“Sure it isn’t. Just tell her already!” Amelia rolled her optics.
“If you want her to know so bad, then you tell her!” Emily retorted and crossed her arms defiantly.
“Fine. I will.” Amelia shrugged.
“HUH-?!” Emily whipped right back around.
“You should prepare yourself now for this new job. You won’t be leaving here anytime soon, and certainly not if Noji has anything to say about it.” Amelia told the Mothra Drone.
Uzi blinked at her quizzically.
“Say goodbye to your old life as well. Also all your old friends. And your old family. And your-” Amelia went on.
“AMELIA!! SHUT UP!” Emily yelled, slapping her hand over her twin’s mouth. “Hahaha! Sorry about her! She can be such a prankster!” The Fairy Mothra Drone then turned to Uzi.
But the said drone looked horrified. Her purple eye lights were voided and her wings were limp. Even her antennae went completely limp, falling onto the top of her head.
“I’m what…?” Uzi asked faintly.
“Look what you did, Amelia! Now you’ve scared the poor girl!” Emily scolded.
“She was gonna learn sooner or later! Either way, she was gonna become like this regardless!” Amelia argued, pushing her sister away.
“It doesn’t mean you should dump it all on her at once!” Emily argued.
“So… I’m not gonna go home ever again…!?” Uzi asked, snapping the two girls from their squabble. “A-And I’m not gonna see my dad again!? Or anyone else for that matter!?” She went on, staring at the ground and lifting a hand to her head.
“W-Well, it’s not as bad as it sounds-” Emily tried to say.
“I’m gonna have to live here? Where I’m basically fighting for my life every damn day!?” Uzi went on, her core starting to beat hard in her chest.
“I may have- O-Overexaggerated a bit-” Amelia tempted to chime in.
“Am I just going to be like- Forg-gotten or something?! Is anyone that’s ever known me gonna have their fricking memory files wiped of me?!” Uzi asked, clearly in a panic.
“N-No! No one’s going to be forgetting about you!” Emily exclaimed, trying to reach for her.
Uzi slapped her hand away, her wings lifting up and vibrating. Her fuzzy antennae trembled as they stood on end.
Emily had recoiled at the Mothra Drone’s harsh touch. Now she and Amelia’s eye lights were void, too.
“Okay, I didn’t mean all of that when I said those things!” Amelia confessed.
“But you still mean some of it!” Uzi yelled back.
“Well, the whole ‘say goodbye to your family’ thing wasn’t part of it!” She retorted and took a step forward.
“And what about my home?!” Uzi shouted.
Amelia paused and hesitated. Even Emily was silent.
“Well- That-” Amelia stuttered.
Uzi could feel fearful and sorrowful tears prick at her eye lights. She turned on her heel and ran off.
“WH-WHERE ARE YOU GOING?! UZI!!” Emily called, chasing after her.
“I’M GOING HOME!” Uzi told her, turning down a hall.
“AND HOW THE HECK ARE YOU GOING TO DO THAT?! YOU’LL BE PLUCKED OUT OF THE SKY!” Amelia questioned.
“I’VE GOT AN EGG AT HOME! I’LL JUST KILL MYSELF!” Uzi answered.
“YOU CAN’T GO HOME THOUGH! NOJI WILL JUST TRACK YOU DOWN AGAIN!” Emily reminded her.
Uzi skidded to a halt and stopped in her tracks. Emily and Amelia caught up to her, though they were out of vents. Uzi ignored them, remembering how Noji had come after her when she’d returned home.
“Then…” Uzi grit her teeth and balled her fists. “Then what do I do…?” Uzi asked, her wings and antennae drooping again.
The twin Fairy Mothra Drones stared at her. Emily walked up to Uzi and patted her back comfortingly. Uzi slapped her hand away, still not willing to be touched.
“There isn’t much you can do, unfortunately.” Emily told her. “But it really isn’t as bad as how Amelia put it. Nor as bad as you may think.” She offered a reassuring smile.
“Yeah, I-... Sorry about that.” Amelia came up to apologize. “I shouldn’t have said all that, especially the whole ‘never seeing your family and friends again’.” She rubbed her neck.
“You think?” Emily glared.
“Shut it, Emiloo!” Amelia growled back. “Anyway, some of that is still true. This is still your new job. Titan Drones don’t like it when their mates go too far away.” She told the Mothra Drone.
“Then what about my dad? Will I ever see him again?” Uzi questioned, hugging herself for comfort.
“Actually, he’s on his way here now.” Emily informed.
“Huh?” Uzi hummed and turned to her, surprised.
“Yeah, we haven’t been able to tell you yet. Once somebody becomes a Shobijin, any close family gets contacted about it. They have to sign a confidential agreement of course, but family is allowed to visit every now and then.” She explained with fluttering wings.
“Friends are a little more tricky, so don’t count on Ms. Alice letting any of them come over.” Amelia told her. “You can still make calls and stuff, though.” She added.
Uzi supposes… That’s a little comforting…
“What about my house though? Not only did Noji destroy it, but will I ever even be able to go back?” Uzi questioned next.
“Monarch will fix up your house for you! Your family won’t even have to pay a thing!” Emily assured with a brighter grin.
“Monarch…?” Uzi mimed in question.
“It’s the government organization that manages this whole place and the Titan Drones!” Emily supplied. “Me, Amelia, Ms. Alice, and now you are all a part of it!” She told her.
Uzi didn’t know how much she liked being affiliated with the government now. Especially because of her big government conspiracy regarding this whole place.
“I hate to cut this chat short, but I think we should be getting back outside. Ms. Alice is still waiting for us.” Amelia butted back in.
“Oh! Right! Let’s go!” Emily remembered as her antennae perked up.
She grabbed Uzi’s arm and started jogging off. Uzi yelped and nearly tripped. Amelia huffed a tiny laugh and followed them.
Alice turned her head up upon seeing the three Mothras finally return from the building. She leaned off the car as they approached. Alice eyed Uzi up in her new outfit.
“Ya finally look tha part. Congrats.” Alice told the Mothra Drone.
Uzi only grumbled back at her. Alice ignored it, moving on quickly.
“Yer father is coming tah get filled in and see ya one last time.” Alice informed.
“We told her!” Emily chimed in.
“Ah’m sure he’ll have ah lot of questions and be against this whole thing, but we don’t have any choice now.” Alice ignored the cyan Fairy Mothra Drone.
“How often will I be able to see him?” Uzi asked while her wings drooped.
“Depends.” Alice shrugged. “He’ll have to request a visit first, then we approve of it, pick him up, and bring him here for a short while.”
Uzi’s antennae fell a bit. She wished her father could visit sooner. Maybe she’ll at least be able to call everyday.
Her optics flicked to the Godzilla Drone she somehow ended up marrying. They went wide at seeing his intense yet puppy-like stare on her. Noji was lying on his stomach just to see her. Uzi wasn’t sure how it looked so oddly adorable.
“Welp. We should give you a tour of the place and explain your new job. Hop in the car and we’ll get started right away.” Alice spoke, stirring Uzi from her thoughts.
She made a sigh and moved to follow the Muto Drone. Except Noji had some other plans as he picked her up right off her taloned feet. Uzi flailed about a little in startle, but quickly calmed herself down with Noji’s gentleness.
He laid her down in his hands, holding her carefully. Uzi couldn’t help the flushing of her visor at being held bridal style in his huge hands like this. But she refused to enjoy this in any capacity, turning her head away and glaring at some random rock on the ground.
“It’s gonna be hard tah tell her what she needs tah do, ya know!” Alice called from below.
Noji only growled and bore his teeth back at her. Alice sighed in defeat and pinched her visor.
“Fine.” She sighed.
The Muto Drone then turned for the car. Amelia and Emily waved up at Uzi as they got into the vehicle as well. The Mothra Drone only rolled her optics and scoffed, crossing her arms as her wings twitched.
Noji leaned his head down to nuzzle his snout into her neck fluff. Uzi cried out and whined in protest, trying to get him to stop.
Noji didn’t listen.
Emily and Amelia's designs! I had to separate the wings since it wouldn't fit on my tiny-ass sketchbook. I admit though, I definitely like this wing design a lot better than Uzi's. Feels just that bit more moth-like than I ended up making hers. Still very butterfly-ish, though.

“Over here is tha path that leads ta tha Garden. It’s safe for tha most part, but ya never know when ah hostile Titan Drone might pop up.” Alice informed Uzi with a megaphone, sitting on the hood of the Jeep.
“Is there any way to like, not be in immediate danger of dying by literally everything here?” Uzi asked from Noji’s hands.
“Not really.” Alice replied. “But if ya keep that outfit on and smell like Noji, ya should be fine.” She added.
Uzi guessed that was the best protection she was going to get. Though, she has to wonder why all the Titan Drones keep their distance from the aforementioned Godzilla Drone.
“By the way,” Emily called from below, catching Uzi’s attention. “The beach next to the resort is relatively safe as well! Just make sure not to stand below anybody!” She told her.
Uzi nodded back, turning her head towards the scenery again.
Noji strolled around with the government Jeeps. A glimpse at his face told Uzi he was perfectly content, like the words ‘Life is good’ were painted in bright colors along his visor.
Uzi huffed and turned away. She could feel her facial screen light up again at the ever-constant reminder that she was being carried by some random guy. It was embarrassing, not to mention she could just, you know, walk on her own.
“You won’t need ta worry about feedin’ any Titans, by tha way.” Alice spoke again. “Us government folk will deal with that. Ya just need ta make sure tha Titans are happy and healthy.”
“How do I do that? I don’t think you ever explained it before.” Uzi inquired from above.
“You’ll be doin’ basic maintenance. Cleanin’, groomin’, repairin’, even just spendin’ time with tha guys.” Alice answered, keepin’ an optic out in case. “Emily and Amelia can show ya tha ropes since they do tha same thing.”
“I see…” Uzi replied in acknowledgement.
“It takes a bit of time, but with the three of us, things should go a lot smoother!” Amelia chimed in from the car.
“Wait a minute- Then how long have you two been doing this all on your own?!” Uzi questioned in shock, her optical lights wide.
“A few years.” Amelia replied with a giggle. “I honestly couldn’t tell you how long, but it’s been a while.” She added.
Uzi’s antennae fell a little flat at that. She wasn’t so much looking forward to staying here for the rest of her life.
“We’ll be comin’ up by tha volcano region soon.” Alice informed.
“V-Volcanoes?!” Uzi mimed in shock.
“Don’t worry! They aren’t active!” Emily reassured with a smile. “They're man-made and inactive. It’s for all the Titan Drones who like to keep warm, like the Rodans!” Her antennae twitched up in a friendly manner.
Uzi only gave her a skeptical glare back. The blue Fairy Mothra Drone’s antennae flicked uneasily at the glare.
“Make sure not ta go flyin’ off. The Rodan Drones will take every opportunity ta pluck ya right outta tha sky.” Alice warned the winged robots.
“We know, we know!” Amelia rolled her optics. “You tell us this every time!” Her wings fluttered.
“Because Ah can’t trust ya two ta listen ta me!” Alice yelled back.
“I try to listen! It’s Amelia who keeps running off making me run after her!” Emily accused with a pointing finger at her twin.
“I DO NOT!” Her said twin yelled back.
“DO TOO!” Emily retorted just as loudly.
The two started a slap fight. Alice pinched her visor and Uzi stared with an unimpressed expression at them.
‘They sure are siblings at least.’ The purple Mothra Drone thought with a sweat drop on her visor.
“ENOUGH, YOU TWO!” Alice hollered.
The Fairy Mothra Drones flinched and sat back down. As Alice scoffed angrily, Emily and Amelia huffed and turned away from each other. At least they weren’t fighting anymore though…
“Let’s just get ta tha damn volcano…” Alice muttered.
As expected, the volcano region was hot and sweaty. Even from down by the base, Uzi could feel the sweltering heat of the lava pools higher up. There were even quite a few of them, ranging in size.
Some Rodan Drones bathed in the lava, their heads having two back-facing horns on them and their arms being dark crimson wings. None of them minded the heat at all, having fun grooming each other and diving into the pools.
Uzi fanned herself with her shirt, trying to keep from overheating. She could see the other Kaiju Drones battling the heat as well. Part of her was glad to know she wasn’t alone in this.
“Ya really shouldn’t need ta come here, but if ya do, please tell someone.” Alice asked. “Or even take Noji with ya. Just don’t go alone.” She added with a pointed look.
“Yeah, yeah, can we just get out of here?” Uzi asked back, the sweat drops pouring down her visor.
“Yup. Get us outta here.” Alice nodded and waved to the driver.
They quickly sped off, Uzi relishing in the brushing winds as Noji jogged after the Jeep. She doesn’t think she’s liked the blowing of air against her more than this moment.
“Ya should generally just steer clear of the main prairie here.” Alice spoke through her megaphone. "Most of tha hostile Titan Drones hang around these parts. Although, Noji’s den is also here, so Ah guess ya gotta take yer chances sometimes.” She proceeded to wave off with a shrug.
“Wow, thanks for caring about me so much.” Uzi replied sarcastically, sending a glare at the older Muto Drone.
“Not mah fault ya got married ta Noji of all Titan Drones.” Alice retorted back.
Uzi growled as her antennae twitched. Opting to look around, she could see familiar faces staring at the group. They all kept their distance, never coming close to them and looking afraid of all things.
“What’s up with all the Titan Drones? They’re unusually passive.” Uzi inquired.
“It’s because we’ve sorta trained them to not attack us.” Amelia answered.
“How so?” Uzi asked, now intrigued.
“Well, if they attack or kill us, they won’t get any food! It’s like the whole ‘Don’t bite the hand that feeds’ sort of mentality.” Emily chimed in helpfully.
Uzi nodded with a quiet ‘ooohh’. She turned back to the other huge robots, still so hesitant to even sit there. It was almost worrying in a way, but Uzi felt a hell of a lot more smug being on their ‘Do Not Eat’ list now.
“There’s one thing ya should remember about the prairies.” Alice spoke up again. “Ta tha north are tha snowy mountains. Ta tha east is tha beach. Tha west holds tha Garden and tha forest. And tha south is where the volcanoes and Infant Resort is.” She informed, pointing to each direction.
Uzi hummed back in acknowledgement. The ride then became quiet after that. Uzi noticed Noji hadn’t talked once the entire time. Looking up, he was focused on the area around them.
Shaking her head, Uzi focused back on the Jeep in front of them. They looked to be returning to the resort. Maybe Uzi will be able to get some rest. Despite not even being the one walking, she’s exhausted.
‘I really just wanna return home…’ Uzi thought with a falling expression.
After the whole paradise tour, Noji finally let Uzi back on the ground. She ran over to her father. The two hugged tightly, Uzi having to fight the happy tears from prickling at her optics.
“What kind of trouble did you get into this time?” Khan asked as he let her go but kept hold of her shoulders.
“I… I don’t even know anymore.” Uzi sighed back in defeat. “All I really know is that I’m stuck here now.” She said as she crossed her arms.
“If ya didn’t go stickin’ yer antennae inta other drones’ business, this wouldn’t have happened in tha first place.” Alice commented from beside them.
“Yeah, I know! You don’t have to keep rubbing it in!” Uzi shouted back.
“Uzi.” Khan soothed quietly.
His daughter took a deep vent and rubbed her face plates. All she wanted was to prove a government conspiracy, to tell the public everything the government wouldn’t. She didn’t want to get roped into marrying a guy she doesn’t even know, much less a Titan Drone.
“I’ve heard about what happened.” Khan said, bringing Uzi from her thoughts. "They-y had me bring some of your stuff, including your reincarnation egg. They’re setting up a room for you now.” He told her, a sweat drop on his visor.
Uzi’s only had exhaustion lines sprout from the inner corners of her optical lights. Khan’s sweat drop scrolled down his visor at it.
“Let’s talk inside. We can eat somethin’ and have more privacy.” Alice said, her tone and volume unusually soft.
Uzi could only nod back. Khan took her shoulder and led her inside. Emily and Amelia had already gone in to prepare dinner.
Noji stared after his wife mutely. As soon as the doors to the resort closed and he was left alone, he sat on his haunches. His optics stayed glued to the door. After some minutes, a quiet whine left his voice box.
He was missing his wife already.
“Are you sure I can’t ever go back home, Ms. Alice?” Uzi questioned quietly, sitting at a table.
“It… Depends.” She said cryptically.
Uzi only looked up to her with her tired eye lights. Alice sighed and leaned back in her chair. She was beginning to lose her appetite with such a miserable expression on the Mothra Drone’s face.
“If Noji can learn ta live without ya, then ya could go and visit yer father and friends.” She said as she crossed her arms. “Just don’t count on it right now. Judging by how Noji’s acted earlier today, he’ll be pretty attached ta ya for ah bit.” The Muto Drone went on.
Uzi’s shoulders sagged further. Her gaze returned to her metallic food, her fork twirling the wires over and over. She heard her father sigh and shift in his seat, Uzi’s stare turning to him.
Although he didn’t say anything and only gazed down at his own meal -barely touched and going cold-, Uzi could see everything he wanted to say right on his face plates.
‘How could you get yourself into this mess?’
‘How did this even happen?’
‘I told you not to go snooping around.’
‘I told you it was dangerous.’
‘I can’t help you out of this one.’
‘There’s nothing I can do.’
Uzi hated seeing the somber disappointment on her dad’s face. Even though he wasn’t looking at her, Uzi could feel the luminance of his silver optics bore into her head. Her wings shifted closer together and her antennae fell onto her head.
“Ah should mention that visitation hours will be monitored.” Alice spoke up, hating the uncomfortable silence. “It’s ah safety precaution more than anythin’. But we also are subject tah change when yer father can visit based on events happenin’ in tha paradise.” She added.
“Makes sense, I guess…” Uzi mumbled back.
Alice stared at her. The Mothra Drone was playing with her food. She’s not even sure she saw the girl take a single bite. It made the Muto Drone sigh and untense her posture.
“Today’s been ah long day. Why don’t y’all hit tha hay. We can continue this conversation tomorrow mornin’.” Alice suggested.
Uzi only nodded and got up. She headed for her room, being guided by Amelia to it. Khan watched her leave, words on the tip of his tongue, but his lips unable to form them.
“It might be best ta give her some time.” Alice told him. “It ain’t easy havin’ yer life flipped upside down, no matter if ya just meant to get some “cool footage,” or if it were ah complete accident.” She didn’t look at him, only her cold food.
Khan blinked at the Muto Drone. All he could do in reply was nod his head and say a quiet “Right…”
“This is your room. Mine and Emily’s are just down the hall, across from each other. Rooms 94-A and B.” She told the other Mothra Drone.
“Thanks.” Uzi nodded back, her voice soft.
Amelia’s kind smile fell. Her pretty blue wings fluttered anxiously and her antennae flicked.
“I-If you need anything, don’t hesitate to come ask me or Emily for help.” She offered, rubbing her neck fluff.
“Sure thing.” Uzi said back, sorting through a suitcase of her clothing.
Amelia stared for another few moments. Emily came by, having just finished cleaning up dinner. She peeked into the room, making a similar expression as her twin sister. The two looked to each other, then the purple Mothra Drone again.
“G-Goodnight, Uzi.” Amelia spoke one last time.
“Night.” Uzi responded flatly.
Amelia and Emily stared for a few more seconds before deciding to close the door. Uzi was left in the dark of her new room. It was a sizable suite, bigger than her room at home.
It was decked out with a nice bedroom, a tiny kitchen, a small bathroom, a closet, a small living area, and even a balcony. The whole place was nice and smelled like flowers. The decorations were sparing however, but still nice. Garden and beach-themed. Some Monarch logos were here and there.
As for furniture, Uzi’s bed was nice, big and rounded. She had a couple of nightstands next to it, plus a large vanity and chest of drawers on the other side. The kitchen had a fridge, stove-top oven, microwave, and a small table and chairs.
A sofa and coffee table occupied the living room with a nice TV. The bathroom had the usual stuff, including an open washing floor. There wasn’t much other furniture besides that, and whatever else was the norm for hotel suites.
Uzi sighed and shrugged on some pajamas. She closed her suitcase, then moved onto another one. It was thicker and tougher, hard plastic held within the sturdy fabric to keep its shape.
Opening it up, Uzi saw her reincarnation egg inside. The Mothra Drone looked around for someplace to keep it safe. She doesn’t know whether this building is sturdy against brawling Titan Drones.
After about a minute, she opted to tuck it in the corner of the room by her bed. It was the best place she could think of right now. It was either that or her sturdy suitcase, and Uzi didn’t feel like waking up in that the next time she loses a life.
Making sure the nest was set up just the way she wanted it, Uzi stared at her egg for a minute more. Her wings flicked and her antennae lay limp on her head. With a short sigh, she got up and went to bed.
It was admittedly nice to have a rounded bed, because then Uzi could splay out and spread her wings with little worry of them falling off the mattress. And with the headboard against the wall, Uzi didn’t need to worry about hitting the wall with her wings.
But even so, it didn’t lift her mood entirely.
Chapter Text
It was hard to stay asleep tonight.
Uzi woke up to a dark, unfamiliar bedroom. It took only a few short seconds to remember this was her new home. A soft, somber sigh left her vents as she rubbed her visor.
Rolling over and checking her phone, it was 2:27. The sun wasn’t even up at the moment. Uzi made a small groan and set her device down. As she lay on her stomach for some time more, her wings twitched.
Uzi’s optics drifted around the room. The fancy headboard, the thick comforter draped over her, the neat wall decorations, the spotless nightstand. So drastically different from her own bedroom. So unfamiliar.
Closing her lenses and shutting off her optics, Uzi tried going back into Sleep Mode. Things were quiet, nearly silent if not for the soothing sounds of music box crickets outside.
The minutes ticked on as Uzi lied still in her new bed. Her antennae gave the occasional flick, or her wing gave a sparse twitch, but she didn’t move otherwise. And neither did the world around her.
Everything was as peaceful as peaceful could be. Even the Titan Drones outside were silent. Maybe that’s why the crickets came out to sing.
But despite all that, Uzi was unable to go back to sleep. She started to toss and turn, flip her pillow, stick a leg out from her blanket, bury her face into the coolness of her cushion, hug it like a stuffed animal. But nothing worked.
She ended up just futilely trying to head back into Sleep Mode for nearly an hour. With an annoyed and swift sigh, Uzi sat up in her bed. Now that she realizes it, even the mattress is unfamiliar to her.
‘It’s too springy.’ Uzi thought, lightly bouncing on her bed.
“Whatever. Maybe I can at least watch the sun rise.” The Mothra Drone huffed.
She got out of her bed, her nightgown falling to her knees. She carefully put on some slippers, wary of her toe joints’ claws. Pulling her uniform’s fluffy shawl over her shoulders, Uzi opened up her balcony curtains.
“HOLY ANCESTORS-!!” Uzi shouted in surprise.
Noji was peering in through the balcony window doors. How long he’s been there, Uzi has no idea. And she isn’t sure she wants to know, either. In any case, she turned back towards him to give him a glare.
Her expression soon fell, however. She couldn’t even keep her anger for very long when she was so tired. With drooping wings, she walked over and stepped onto the balcony. Noji leaned back a little, though he was still certainly close.
“Hey big guy. What’re you doing up so late?” Uzi asked as she stood by the stone railing.
“Waiting.” He replied simply.
“Waiting for what? To be fed?” Uzi asked.
“For you.” Noji corrected.
Uzi wouldn’t admit that her visor went a little flush at that, or that her antennae perked up just a tiny bit.
“Why are you waiting for me?” Uzi decided to ask.
“I heard you.” Noji said. “And I miss you.” He added, averting his gaze as electric blue blush lines blinked onto his visor.
‘Is he seriously getting bashful right now?’ Uzi wanted to ask.
“That’s, uhm… That’s very kind of you.” She opted to say, a finger twirling an antennae. “But you should be getting some sleep. We can always see each other in the morning.” The Mothra Drone advised.
“What about you?” Noji inquired.
“What about me?” Uzi questioned back, leaning both arms onto the railing.
“You’re not asleep.” Noji pointed out.
“Y-Yeah, well-!” Uzi fumbled, her mouth making like a fish as she tried to make an excuse for herself. “I-... Woke up and… Couldn’t go back to sleep.” She confessed, averting her own gaze out of embarrassment.
Noji stared at her, his blue eye lights big and wide like a puppy’s. Uzi wasn’t quite sure what he was thinking.
“You cannot go back to sleep?” He finally spoke.
“N-No. I tried, but I couldn’t fall into Sleep Mode again.” Uzi shook her head.
Noji was silent once more, seemingly thinking. He then moved, his arms coming up and gently taking his brand-new wife.
“Oh okay. This is happening.” Uzi spoke to herself.
Noji carefully settled her in his arms, the tiny Mothra Drone sitting on his forearm. The Godzilla Drone then started to walk off, his steps shaking the ground. Uzi could only look around as he took her somewhere.
They left the Infant Hotel and entered the beach area not far from it. The sands were barren of any Titan Drones. The waves swashed peacefully onto the beach. The moon’s light danced elegantly across the ocean’s surface. It was a pretty sight, all things considered.
“Is there some specific place we’re going?” Uzi questioned as she looked around.
“Mm-mm.” Noji shook his head. “Just walking.” He told her.
“I see…” Uzi nodded in acknowledgement.
Things fell silent between them once again. Uzi’s antennae kept twitching, searching for other aggressive Titan Drones. She couldn’t find anything, just more quiet beach and a darkened jungle in the distance.
All of the scenery, the distant music boxes, the peaceful stroll, the warmth of Noji, and the dim moonlight were actually making Uzi a little sleepy. Not enough to be passing out right in the Godzilla Drone’s arms, but she could feel it.
With a yawn and a stretch of her many limbs, Uzi cuddled closer to Noji. She pulled the shawl tighter around her shoulders, her wings tucking closer to each other. Her husband took notice, adjusting her so she was lying in his arms.
“I don’t need to be coddled.” Uzi grumbled.
“You are not cold?” Noji asked her with a cocking head.
“We-ell, I never said that-” His wife replied.
“Then I will warm you.” Her husband told her.
“Well then, I don’t need to be coddled to be warmed.” Uzi argued with a pout.
Noji snorted. Uzi thought maybe she pissed him off, her frame jerking. But looking up to him, Noji was smiling. It seems he’d taken amusement in her words.
“I’m not sure what you think is so funny, Mister.” Uzi tapped his chest.
“You are.” Noji said truthfully.
“I AM SO NOT FUNNY! I AM SERIOUS AND COLD AND A LONE WOLF!” Uzi barked loudly.
“You are funny.” Noji only replied.
“AM NOT!” Uzi argued more.
“Are too.” Noji retorted playfully, his tail tip wagging.
“You’re an ass!” Uzi exclaimed and crossed her arms, turning her head away.
The Godzilla Drone laughed. Uzi’s visor went flush as she realized she was acting like a total child.
“Shut up…” She muttered, pouting harder.
Thankfully, Noji listened to her this time. Their stroll went quiet once more, the beach far more expansive than Uzi first realized. She’s positive they’ve been walking for over half an hour by this point.
Looking towards the horizon, Uzi could see the sky slowly brightening. Noji could see it, too.
“Do you want to see it?” He asked her, looking down to his wife.
“What do you mean?” Uzi asked back, a brow quirked.
“The sun. Do you want to see it?” Noji elaborated.
“...” Uzi was quiet, thinking. “Sure, I guess.” She shrugged.
The Mothra Drone assumed Noji was going to go running off to some mountain or another, get a higher and better view point to see the sun rise. What she got instead was Noji heading straight for the water and quickly trotting inside.
“HEY! HEY, HEY, HEY! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?!” Uzi asked, scrambling up to Noji’s head.
But her husband didn’t respond. Just moved to float on his stomach. He pushed off the beach with his feet, Uzi taking to the air to save herself from getting wet.
Noji turned back to look at her, silently telling her it was alright. Uzi felt a sweat drop scroll down her visor. She was still wary.
But… She sighed and followed him anyway.
The Godzilla Drone swam further out to sea. Uzi followed in the air, the winds making her colder. She wished she had put on some pants at least. Her legs wouldn’t be so cold, then…
Soon enough, Noji had slowed to a stop in the water. He drifted idly, turning his head to his wife again. Uzi stayed in the air, giving him an unsure and narrowed look.
“Sit with me.” Noji requested.
Uzi made a hum. With a defeated huff, she descended from the air. She carefully touched down upon his ridged back, careful of the water around them. Uzi held onto one of the many rough plates sprouting from Noji’s back.
The ocean was quiet, all the way out here. The crickets were too far away to be heard. There was no rustling of foliage. No rhythmic stomping. No need to search for predators.
It was just Uzi, Noji, and the ocean. The only sound was the tiny waves brushing against Noji’s frame. The only thing Uzi had to worry about was the water itself. There was no need to be so alert.
“You like it?” Noji suddenly asked.
Uzi startled, whipping towards her husband. For a moment she was confused. But then she noticed the water glowing brighter. The reflection of the moon was getting warmer.
Turning her gaze up, Uzi watched as the sun began to rise. It was slow, as though it were sleepy and struggling to get out of bed. The deep blue sea was there to greet it, to urge it to wake up by absorbing the sun’s gentle warmth.
“Yeah… I like it.” Uzi whispered.
Noji’s visor went flush. He was happy that his wife was happy. After some trial and error, he finally showed her something she liked. It made his tail wag beneath the waves.
Turning his own gaze to the horizon, the Godzilla Drone watched the sun rise with his Mothra Drone wife. Nothing needed to be said right now. Things were peaceful, tranquil. It was a moment that neither drone wanted ruined.
“Thank you for this.” Uzi said softly.
“Of course.” Noji returned.
At some point, Uzi had fallen asleep. The sun was just over the horizon line now, and Noji didn’t want its bright light to wake her. So he swam back to shore, not returning to the hotel.
Instead, Noji swam to a calmer place on the peninsula. As he made landfall there, he carefully took the Mothra Drone from his back. Noji traveled into the jungle forest. He made sure nothing hit his dearest wife on the way.
The forest was calm as the Godzilla Drone walked. No other Titan Drones messed with him. They steered clear and simply watched. When Noji finally passed them by with no problems, they scurried away.
After some time, Noji finally made it. He came across a flower-laden field. Tiny butterflies and other bugs he had no idea the names of flitted about. Noji walked into the field, getting down onto all fours.
Making his way to the center of it, he lied down. Noji got comfortable and made sure his wife was, too. He held her securely to his chest. Uzi made a hum but thankfully didn’t stir more.
Winding his tail around them both, Noji buried his head into the flowers. Their natural scent carried into his nostrils and was filtered by his ventilation system. The butterflies and other bugs around them danced about around the pair.
The morning sun cast gentle rays upon the two. Uzi turned towards her husband to shield her optics. She was quick to settle down again, her wings flicking and her antennae twitching.
Noji waited some minutes more before deciding to let himself fall asleep. He wanted to be sure his wife was safe and sound, was comfortable enough to stay asleep. When he found that she was, he finally let Sleep Mode take him over.
Letting his systems shut off one by one, Noji’s vents fell into a rhythmic pattern. The area around them was quiet, letting the two rest again.
As the two vastly different drones slept the early morning hours away, the many mechanical insects around them gently petered around the two. Some found resting places on the Godzilla Drone, others were curious about the unusually large moth that was the Mothra Drone.
And for the first time since she’s been here, Uzi’s had a splendidly peaceful time.
Chapter Text
Alice was going to kick Uzi’s ass!
First thing she’s told when she’s woken up is that the new Shobijin is gone! Just gone! And the only clue they have is that her bed was left messy and her balcony curtains were open. Which would imply Uzi might’ve gone out for a fly.
But she clearly didn’t die if her reincarnation egg was still there. So at least Alice didn’t have to deal with something like that.
“But Ah guess Ah still will once Ah kill her myself!” Alice ground out, speeding down the beach in a government jeep.
If Alice could have it her way, she’d have taken Uzi into custody, wiped everything related to the Titan Drones from her CPU, and placed her back in her home to be a good little girl.
But she can’t.
So she’s stuck out here babysitting.
“At least Ah also know that Noji was a part of this.” Alice sighed, glancing at the large tracks in the sand.
The sun’s rays were comfortably warm on Noji’s back. His plating greedily soaked up the heat, relaxing him along with the multitude of butterflies fluttering about. It was truly the perfect place for a nap.
Unfortunately, Noji’s nap was rudely interrupted by the sounds of a rumbling vehicle. Noji opened a blue optic, glancing around for the car. Its sound suddenly cut out, telling Noji that someone was going to come by personally instead.
Noji tucked his wife closer towards his chest, careful of her tiny frame and her larger wings. Picking up his head with a huff, Noji watched the edges of the field. After a few minutes, he spotted Alice coming from the underbrush.
“So this is where ya’ve been, huh?!” Alice all but yelled.
Noji growled threateningly, trying to keep the rumble quiet. Uzi stirred in the crook of his arm, rolling over. Noji went quiet, leaning down to sniff at her. Alice could only watch with an anger tick on her visor. With an agitated sigh, she pinched her visor.
“Can ya tell me what ya two are doin’ all tha way out here?” Alice asked, her voice quieter.
“Sleeping.” Noji barked back quietly, setting his head back on the ground. “Now leave.” He then ordered, his tail carefully thumping on the ground.
“Ah am not leavin’, Noji. Uzi’s gotta come back ta learn how ta do her job.” She said pointedly, her orange optics narrowing.
Noji made another weak growl.
Alice sighed again, holding back the mean retort in her voice box. She then tried to “smile politely,” though she’s positive she looked anything but.
“Noji, Uzi agreed ta work here. If she doesn’t learn what she needs ta do, she can’t do her job.” Alice tried to explain. “And that job also includes tending ta Titan Drones like you! So if ya want her ta take care of ya, then you’ll wake her up and tell her she needs ta get back ta the resort!” She added, clasping her hands together to look even more convincing.
The Godzilla Drone stared at the Muto Drone with narrowed optics. He took a minute to mull over Alice’s words, slowly driving her up the wall with the prolonged silence.
Finally, Noji snorted through his nostrils and obliged. Alice was about to start cheering in glee, but held herself back. No need to embarrass herself like that.
“Uzi. Wake up.” Noji gently nudged the said drone.
Uzi made a whine, refusing to do so.
“Wake up. You have a job.” Noji went on, nudging a little harder.
Slowly, Uzi roused from her slumber. Her vision was fuzzy and unfocused, making her rub her visor. Sitting up, Uzi stretched her four arms and wings above her head. With a shake of her head, she looked around.
“Sh-Shit…” The Mothra Drone muttered. “Why the hell didn’t you take me back to the resort, Noji?” Uzi asked, clambering out of his arm.
“Sorry. This place was better.” He answered.
Uzi grumbled something, but her new husband couldn’t understand it. Fixing her pajamas, Uzi stumbled her way towards Alice. She was clearly still half asleep, but she was at least willing to go back.
“Sorry. I wasn’t really sleeping well last night, so me and Noji ended up going for a stroll. I guess I fell asleep here.” Uzi spoke, just before a yawn could interrupt her.
“Well, at least yer honest about it.” Alice huffed. “But let’s go. Tha sooner we get back, tha sooner you can start training.” She said and turned.
Uzi followed tiredly behind. Noji stretched much like a cat, arching his back and tail. As his frame relaxed again, he stood up and followed his wife and the bossy Muto Drone.
Uzi made another stretch as she walked out to the resort’s backyard. Emily and Amelia were there waiting for her, presumably checking over large machines to assist in caring for the Titan Drones.
“Sorry I’m late. Noji had me go on a walk with him late last night and I ended up falling asleep with him in some field.” Uzi greeted, fixing her shawl.
“Aww! That sounds adorable!” Emily cooed with fluttering wings.
“Surprised you didn’t die out there.” Amelia teased with a smug grin.
Emily retorted to it by tossing a towel in her face. Amelia yelped and fell back, fumbling with the cloth.
“Anyways! We were just checking over the machines we use for Titan Drone maintenance! You haven’t missed much!” Emily spoke cheerily. “Well, besides breakfast.” She added.
“You should probably go see your dad, by the way. He was all freaked out when we found out you went missing.” Amelia advised, sitting on the floor.
“Stop lazing about, Amelia! Help me set up!” Emily scolded.
“I am not lazing about!” Amelia denied.
“Are too!” Emily shouted.
The two twins soon started to bicker. Uzi turned back for the resort and headed inside. She could tell today was going to be hot, relishing in the AC of the pseudo-hotel. But besides that, finding her dad was easy. Just ask around a little, get directed to the cafeteria, and find him sitting at a table all alone.
Uzi sighed at the pitiful sight, walking over and sitting down across from her father. Khan perked up immediately, smiling brightly at her and handing a plate of food over. Uzi took it, not surprised to see it’d gone cold.
“You have no idea how darn worried I was when you went missing, Uzi!” Khan began to scold.
“I know, I know! I didn’t mean to be out there all night!” Uzi stopped him right in his tracks. “I ended up going on a walk with Noji. I fell asleep in some clearing with him, so I was at least safe the entire time.” She explained, chewing on a pancake piece.
“You still shouldn’t disappear like that, Uzi!” Khan argued. “At least tell someone, leave a note, something!” He pressed, his eye lights going void.
His daughter only stared at him with drooping antennae and creased brows. Her lavender gaze fell to her plate, suddenly losing her appetite. Uzi had even noticed Khan didn’t eat very much, much like how she didn’t last night.
“I didn’t mean to get caught up in this mess, dad…” Uzi spoke quietly. “I just-... I wanted to prove to the world that there was more being hidden from us.” Her wings twitched and her raptorial legs tightened against her sides.
“...” Khan was quiet.
“You were right.” Uzi admitted, her voice tiny. “I should’ve just forgotten about the Titan Drones and the government conspiracies and sneaking out and trespassing and everything.” She went on.
‘Because now I’m stuck here, married to a Titan Drone, unable to return to a normal life.’ The Mothra Drone thought.
Khan opened his mouth to speak, to try and reassure or comfort his daughter. But Uzi stood up and started walking before he could say a word.
“I should go. I’ve gotta learn how all those Titan Drone maintenance machines work.” Uzi said to excuse herself.
She left her plate and her father behind. The cafeteria fell into silence again.
Heading back outside, Uzi was greeted with Emily and Amelia already tending to a Titan Drone. From the looks of it, the species was a Rodan.
‘One of the big ones, too.’ Uzi noted as she walked over.
“Sorry I took so long. Is there anything I can do to help?” Uzi asked the two Fairy Mothra Drones.
“Hm? Oh, we’re almost done here! Just need to rinse her off!” Amelia waved dismissively.
“You sure?” Uzi asked.
“Yep! We’ve got it covered!” Emily said from the other side of the large Rodan Drone.
Said robot turned her yellow optics to the new Mothra Drone. Her dark red-brown, bobbed hair was smoldering on the bottom. And her arms were simply whole wings, the edges of her membranes having veins glowing with heat.
Uzi felt a sense of unease as the Rodan Drone stared at her. She thought it’d be best to move on and ask her coworkers if there was anything else she could do. Preferably farther away from the Titan Drone.
“Is there anything you want me to do besides helping you clean this guy?” Uzi asked with a gesturing point to the Titan.
“Uhmm… You can see if there’s any drones waiting in the garages!” Emily said. “And if they need more refreshments, could you get them? All you have to do is pull a lever!” She said.
“They’re labeled, so you don’t have to super memorize them.” Amelia chimed in, scrubbing one of the Rodan Drone’s claws.
“Got it!” Uzi nodded and trotted away.
She couldn’t help the sigh of relief as she finally got away from that giant fried chicken. Though, maybe she should’ve stuck around, because as soon as Uzi opened one of the garage doors, she was met with a whole group of Titan Drones.
Then again, they were all cowering against the wall.
Uzi stared in utter confusion at the jumble of various giant robots. Turning her gaze, she found the source of their fear: Noji.
‘But he isn’t even doing anything.’ Uzi thought, noting how he was sitting peacefully in one of the painted boxes on the ground.
Shaking her head, Uzi walked over to her husband. He was quick to notice her, his tail beginning to wag like a dog’s.
“Shouldn’t you be out somewhere killing other Titan Drones, or swimming, or something?” Uzi asked, a small smile on her lips.
Noji shook his head, looking particularly excited.
“Is that so?” Uzi huffed a laugh. “Well, then can I ask what’s in your mouth?” She then questioned, noticing some tiny things peeking from his lips.
Noji promptly opened his maw. Out came a truckload of flowers and other plants, each other covered in saliva. Uzi was all but crushed underneath the large pile, yelping out in shocked pain. A few butterflies had even been trapped, twitching amongst the petals and leaves.
“Thanks, Noji…” Uzi rasped out.
Her husband made an affectionate rumble, digging through the pile to pluck his wife out. Setting her back on her feet, Noji tried to lick her clean. It only ended up covering her in even more of his spit.
“That’s okay, Noji!” Uzi finally yelled, stopping the Godzilla Drone. “I’ll just ask Emily or Amelia to spray me off. You sit here and… Wait, I guess.” She said with a ‘stay’ motion.
Noji watched her stumble away, muttering out grossed phrases under her vents. As the garage became quiet again, the Godzilla Drone turned his gaze to the other Titan Drones there.
They all flinched and averted their gazes, trying to look distracted or busy with literally anything else. As one quadrupedal and stubby Varan Drone watched Uzi walk away, Noji let out a growl. No one looks at his wife so hungrily like that!
“At least Noji’s trying to be nice, you know?!” Emily asked, wiping all of the said drone’s spit off Uzi.
“Don’t get me wrong! It’s flattering and all, I just don’t think he realizes how big the sheer size difference we have is.” The Mothra Drone returned, her visor going a little flush at such kindness.
“Yeah, probably.” Emily giggled, her expression turning a little guilty.
“Uhhhh- Heeeyyy, Emily?” Amelia poked her head into the room, looking nervous.
“Don’t worry, we’re almost done.” Her twin replied, not even sparing her a glance.
“Uh- Well- I think you’ll have to be done now.” Amelia said, her antennae close to her head. “Uhm- Noji’s kindaaaa- Killing a Varan Drone right now, soooo…” She trailed off with pursed lips.
Emily whipped her head around. Even Uzi turned, accidentally getting slapped in the face with Emily’s hand.
“Did you tell Ms. Alice?” Emily asked.
“UUUhhhhhhh-” Amelia hummed, simply staring back at her twin.
“GO GET MS. ALICE!!” Emily all but screamed.
Her darker-blue twin startled and scampered off. Emily threw Uzi a fresh set of clothes, hitting her right in the face by accident. She then hurried out of the supplies station and towards the growing commotion.
“Son of a-! Dammit, Noji!” Uzi cursed, hurried putting on her attire. “You were literally just sitting there!!” She then yelled to the sky, rushing out just like Emily did.
Nothing good ever lasts for her, huh?

Chapter Text
Alice stomped outside, a mean glower on her face plates. She spotted Noji using a rock to smack the Varan Drone into a sparking, oily heap. She let out an irritated sigh, pinching her visor.
“Noji!! Put tha rock down!” She ordered as she came up to him.
The Godzilla Drone glimpsed at her. He continued to bash the remains of the offending robot. Alice’s large secondary legs dug into the ground in growing anger.
“Can someone please come help me? Noji’s at it again.” She then spoke into her walkie-talkie.
Uzi put the machines back into their locked resting places, the other Titan Drones cleansed and off to do their Titan Drone things. As she sprayed off some soap from the concrete porch, she glanced over at Noji.
He’d basically been put into the time-out corner. On top of that, he was forced to wear a comically large cone. Uzi couldn’t tell if it was a cone of shame or to genuinely stop him from biting other titans.
Either way, Noji wasn’t going to be bothering any other said giant robots anytime soon. Uzi does feel a little bad for him, though.
“Does he often get that Cone of Shame?” Uzi asked as Amelia passed by.
“Huh-? Uhh…” She paused to think, carrying some towels. “Sometimes he would if he was in a bad mood. Not so sure what spurred this fight on though.” The Fairy Mothra Drone replied.
Uzi made an acknowledging him back, turning her gaze back to the Godzilla Drone. She sighed and resumed spraying the suds off the concrete porch, feeling the sun’s rays warm up her wings.
‘It’s barely around lunchtime and things have already gone awry.’ The purple Mothra Drone thought.
Noji watched his tiny wife head back inside after putting the hose away. He stared at the hotel’s back door, waiting for her to return. As the minutes ticked by and nothing happened, he huffed and stood up.
Ditching the stupid cone, Noji walked off towards the volcano. Other Titan Drones observed from afar, scrambling out of the way as he neared. Noji’s nostrils flared once he could smell the sulphur and smoke of the hot place.
He went up the mountain, where the grasses and trees exchanged for rough rock and rugged ground. A few smaller Rodan Drones watched him from their lava pools or stony perches.
Noji traveled up to the top half of the volcano where the heat rose above anything a Kaiju Drone would be comfortable with. He reached a large lava pool, another inhabitant already lounging inside.
Bobbed, dark red-brown hair with bright, smoldering ends. Two dark red horns on her head. Having dark red wings for arms, the bottom half of the webbing smoldering. She had a tiny tail, dark red like the rest of her plating.
“͎W͎͎h͎a͎͎t͎’͎s͎ ͎g͎͎o͎͎t͎͎t͎͎e͎͎n͎ y͎͎o͎͎u͎ ͎i͎͎n͎͎t͎͎o͎ a͎ ͎m͎͎o͎͎o͎͎d͎?” The large Rodan Drone asked with a grin.
Noji gave her a glance. He huffed and plopped inside the pool on the other side, turning to rest on his arms.
“͎N͎͎u͎͎t͎͎h͎͎i͎͎n͎’...” He muttered back.
The Rodan Drone made a laughing squawk. The bob-haired woman obviously didn’t believe him for a second.
“͎W͎͎e͎͎l͎͎l͎ ͎n͎͎o͎͎w͎ ͎I͎ ͎k͎͎n͎͎o͎͎w͎ s͎͎o͎͎m͎͎e͎͎t͎͎h͎͎i͎͎n͎͎g͎’͎s͎ ͎u͎͎p͎.” She said, her smoldering, red wing arms resting on the edge of the pool. “͎A͎͎n͎͎d͎ ͎i͎͎f͎ ͎I͎ ͎h͎a͎͎d͎ ͎t͎͎o͎ ͎g͎͎u͎͎e͎͎s͎͎s͎, ͎i͎͎t͎ ͎h͎a͎͎s͎ ͎s͎͎o͎͎m͎͎e͎͎t͎͎h͎͎i͎͎n͎͎g͎ ͎t͎͎o͎ ͎d͎͎o͎ ͎w͎͎i͎͎t͎͎h͎ ͎t͎͎h͎͎e͎ ͎n͎͎e͎͎w͎ ͎S͎͎h͎͎o͎͎b͎͎i͎͎j͎͎i͎͎n͎.” She then spoke.
Noji let out a weak growl, his expression falling flatter. He groaned and turned around, just to tilt his head to the sky and let out a feeble rumble. Noji sank lower into the lava pool, until only the top half of his head could be seen.
“͎G͎͎r͎͎o͎a͎͎n͎͎i͎͎n͎͎g͎ a͎͎n͎͎d͎ ͎g͎͎r͎͎o͎͎w͎͎l͎͎i͎͎n͎͎g͎ a͎͎b͎͎o͎͎u͎͎t͎ ͎i͎͎t͎ ͎i͎͎s͎͎n͎’͎t͎ ͎g͎͎o͎͎i͎͎n͎͎g͎ ͎t͎͎o͎ ͎m͎a͎͎k͎͎e͎ ͎i͎͎t͎ ͎b͎͎e͎͎t͎͎t͎͎e͎͎r͎.” The Rodan Drone said.
Noji made some sort of mumble, but it only came out as bubbles in the lava. The female robot across from him rolled her yellow optics.
“͎Y͎͎o͎͎u͎’͎r͎͎e͎ a͎͎c͎͎t͎͎i͎͎n͎͎g͎ ͎l͎͎i͎͎k͎͎e͎ a͎ ͎h͎a͎͎t͎͎c͎͎h͎͎l͎͎i͎͎n͎͎g͎. ͎A͎͎c͎͎t͎͎u͎a͎͎l͎͎l͎͎y͎ ͎s͎͎i͎͎t͎ ͎u͎͎p͎ a͎͎n͎͎d͎ ͎t͎a͎͎l͎͎k͎.” She said, tone stern.
Noji supposed she was right. So he sat back up and made himself comfortable on the edge of the hot pool.
“͎O͎͎t͎͎h͎͎e͎͎r͎ ͎t͎͎i͎͎t͎a͎͎n͎͎s͎ ͎k͎͎e͎͎e͎͎p͎ ͎e͎͎y͎͎e͎͎i͎͎n͎͎g͎ ͎u͎͎p͎ m͎͎y͎ ͎w͎͎i͎͎f͎͎e͎.” He started.
The Rodan Drone quirked a virtual brow at him.
“͎A͎͎n͎͎d͎ ͎t͎͎h͎a͎͎t͎’͎s͎ a͎ ͎p͎͎r͎͎o͎͎b͎͎l͎͎e͎͎m͎, h͎͎o͎͎w͎?” She questioned.

The Rodan Drone leaned back at the outburst but was otherwise unaffected. She couldn’t even get another word in before Noji started up again.

“͎S͎͎H͎͎E͎ ͎I͎͎S͎ ͎N͎͎O͎͎T͎ ͎W͎͎E͎͎A͎͎K͎!” Noji bellowed.
His friend recoiled, slapping her wing hands over her audials. She then sent a glare the Godzilla Drone’s way, Noji realizing his outburst and sitting back down.

He became too bashful, quickly dipping below the lava until only the top half of his head poked out. His buddy watched him for a few moments, taking in the information. In the end, she sighed and hung her head a little.
“͎W͎͎e͎͎l͎͎l͎, ͎I͎’͎m͎ ͎n͎͎o͎͎t͎ ͎g͎͎o͎͎n͎͎n͎a͎ ͎c͎͎o͎͎n͎͎v͎͎i͎͎n͎͎c͎͎e͎ ͎y͎͎o͎͎u͎ ͎o͎͎n͎ ͎w͎͎h͎͎o͎ ͎y͎͎o͎͎u͎ ͎s͎͎h͎͎o͎͎u͎͎l͎͎d͎ ͎o͎͎r͎ ͎s͎͎h͎͎o͎͎u͎͎l͎͎d͎ ͎n͎͎o͎͎t͎ ͎c͎͎o͎͎u͎͎r͎͎t͎.” She muttered with a scratch to a horn. “͎J͎͎u͎͎s͎͎t͎ ͎d͎͎o͎͎n͎’͎t͎ ͎g͎͎o͎ ͎d͎͎o͎͎i͎͎n͎͎g͎ a͎͎n͎͎y͎͎t͎͎h͎͎i͎͎n͎͎g͎ ͎s͎͎t͎͎u͎͎p͎͎i͎͎d͎. ͎Y͎͎o͎͎u͎’͎r͎͎e͎ a͎͎l͎͎r͎͎e͎a͎͎d͎͎y͎ a͎ ͎w͎a͎͎l͎͎k͎͎i͎͎n͎͎g͎ ͎h͎a͎͎z͎a͎͎r͎͎d͎ a͎͎s͎ ͎i͎͎t͎ ͎i͎͎s͎.” The woman advised.

Noji made a grumble, one the other robot couldn’t decipher. Either way, Noji turned to the sky, noting the early evening sun. He didn’t realize he’d spent so long away from his wife!
“͎W͎͎e͎͎l͎͎l͎, ͎I͎’͎l͎͎l͎ ͎b͎͎e͎ ͎o͎͎f͎͎f͎. ͎T͎͎h͎a͎͎n͎͎k͎͎s͎ ͎f͎͎o͎͎r͎ ͎t͎͎h͎͎e͎ ͎c͎͎h͎a͎͎t͎, ͎V͎͎o͎͎d͎a͎͎n͎!” The Godzilla Drone said as he stalked off.
“͎L͎a͎͎t͎͎e͎͎r͎!” Vodan waved back at him.
The day passed by far sooner than Uzi thought it would, or liked! She sighed as her aching legs protested her walk down the hall, having been busy helping various Titan Drones all day.
‘Not to mention having to learn everything.’ Uzi thought, heading to her room. ‘Maybe I can take a quick nap before dinner.’
Opening up her bedroom door, Uzi was met with that ever-unfamiliar sight. Some sunlight spilled into her room through the balcony. The corners were cast with a light shade. Furniture was stiff where they sat.
Overall, it felt like it had never been lived in.
“And yet, this is my new home.” Uzi sighed as entered her room.
The door was closed behind her, the Mothra Drone flopping face-first onto her bed. She let out a tired groan, exhausted and sore. She wasn’t looking forward to the even worse ache tomorrow.
Uzi carefully rolled onto her back, gently splaying her wings out. The bed felt nice and cool after having been outside for a majority of the day.
Opening her optics, Uzi was met with the rounded light sitting dark over her. There was still enough sunlight to keep it off. But Uzi didn’t like that light design, nor its color.
She liked her purple fairy lights better. She liked the purple fire stickers lining her bedroom walls. She liked the messy but lived-in clutter of her floor. She liked her old and squeaky bed, her idle PC, and her childhood vanity.
But she had none of that here. No memories, no familiarity. Just average hotel-ness. A hollow sense of life. Unrecognizable belonging.
Uzi’s antennae flicked, trying to sense anything that might seem familiar or comforting. But all she found was nothing. And she doesn’t think she’ll ever find anything.
Glancing towards her balcony, the sun hadn’t moved at all. Or it hadn’t moved enough to notice, at least. It made Uzi sigh and lower her head back down, staring at her ceiling again.
“I wonder how Noji’s doing.” She muttered aloud. “He walked off after having that cone get on him. I hope he isn’t trying to kill other Titan Drones.”
The Mothra Drone took a deep vent in and got back up. She went over to her suitcase, digging out her camera and laptop. She opened up the latter, looking for any new updates on her podcast or social media sites in general.
It was the same old stuff besides a couple of drones wondering what was up with her sudden silence. Theories were already going about, many Kaiju Drones saying the government caught up with her.
Many more mocked and made fun of her for her “phony findings.” Mean words and rude remarks, all aimed to knock her down her already feeble pegs. It made Uzi’s wings drag closer together and her antennae droop.
Scrolling past all the mean comments, Uzi looked elsewhere. There were a couple people questioning Noji’s sudden appearance, wondering what the hell it was all about. Evidently, whatever the government did to try and cover it up didn’t work as well as they wanted it to.
‘At last a few drones still believe in me.’ Uzi thought with a tiny smile.
She checked out some of the linked news articles covering Noji’s rampage through town. Most just regurgitated whatever the government paid them to. A couple actually proposed a few theories.
All in all, Noji’s crop up scared civilians, also leaving them confused as to what to believe regarding him. The government’s obvious lie, oorrr that it was a “new” robotic species having come out of hiding.
In any case, drones were still confused about it. But at the same time, it also seemed to be old news. Noji hasn’t gone sneaking around lately so things have begun to quiet down.
‘No doubt Alice likes that.’ Uzi scoffed.
Glancing at her balcony, Uzi saw that more time had finally passed. The sun was beginning to set, which means dinner will be ready soon. Uzi closed her computer and exited her room, heading to the dining hall.
Part of her was a little hesitant. Her father is still visiting, which means they’ll be having dinner together again tonight. At the same time, it’s his last day for his visit. Uzi will have to say goodbye to him and count the days until he’s allowed to return.
‘Maybe I should think of something to say before meeting back up with him.’ Uzi thought, continuing down the hall.
As the sun dipped below the horizon and the Titan Drones returned to caves or came out to hunt in the quiet of night, Noji was making his way through the desert-like expanse of the place.
His home felt surprisingly empty when the majority of robots went to Sleep Mode for the night. And even the ones that were nocturnal were few and far between, not to mention steering clear of Noji himself.
With a snort through his nostrils, Noji climbed up a slanted cliff ledge. He stomped onto the flat grass and into a long tunnel. He crawled on all fours, making himself smaller in the cave.
Long and thick stalagmites were scraped and scratched up by his tough and rigid spinal plates. His claws dug into the stone floor, leaving marks behind. As one of his plates scraped some dust off a stalagmite, Noji sneezed it back out and shook his head.
He kept going further into the tunnel, the place dark, cramped, and moist. The bright blue light of his optics was reflected back at him via the sparkling rocks in the walls, or the tiny water puddles under hanging stone formations.
After some amount of time that Noji never bothered to count, he made it onto the other side of the tunnel. He stood back up and looked around, the forest dark. Noji tilted his head up and sniffed the air, his spinal plates emitting a soft glow.
They swiftly dimmed back down as Noji turned and started heading off again. Grasses, sticks, and other fauna was crushed under his feet, branches and leaves scraping against his plating. As Noji walked, a pensive and annoyed look crossed his grey face plates.
Something has been nagging at the back of his CPU lately, like a sixth sense foretelling a great danger heading their way. He had debated telling Vodan about it before, but got caught up gushing about his new wife by accident.
Even so, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to visit her again and talk to her about. If anything, Noji can at least wrap his thoughts around this feeling a little better. Until then, he’ll keep on gathering nuclear power until whatever this dreadful sensation is comes to pass.
Noji has a feeling he’ll need it.

Chapter 13
Notes:
It's been a while since I've updated this, huh?
Chapter Text
The cafeteria was semi-busy this morning. A few government staff milled about at tables and had some friendly, idle chatter. It was a little jarring to see, considering Uzi’s only ever seen the place so empty.
But she heads over to one of the food bars and grabs a tray. She’s a little more willing to eat dinner today, but apprehension and guilt still grips at the back of her CPU. Her antennae twitch and her wings fold closer to her back.
Grabbing a small carton of nectar, Uzi turns and gazes out at the large space. There’s plenty of tables for her to sit at, and a lot of them are devoid of any personnel. Yet she disregards them and heads over to where her father is sitting.
Even as the Mothra Drone takes a seat across from him, things are tense and silent. A sweat drop blinks onto Uzi’s visor as she glances up at him. Khan says nothing. Uzi says even less.
The tense and awkward silence lingers on for a while longer. Uzi chips away at her meal and sips on her nectar. The organic fruit here is quite tasty, she can’t help but think.
‘So juicy and flavorful. I’d say even more so than the ones at our grocery store at home.’ It makes her optics widen.
“Is it good?” Are Khan’s first words.
His daughter startles and turns up to him. She nods and stuffs more banana slices and blueberries into her mouth. The sweet juice of the berry energizes her further, much like the nectar.
“How’s your food?” Uzi asks in return, looking up to her dad again.
“It’s good! The fruit and vegetables certainly have more flavor to them.” He chuckles.
“I thought so.” Uzi smiles.
She takes a bit of some wires and computer chips. Her wings flutter and her antennae perk up. Who knew the government could make such good food?
“Today is my last day here.” Khan speaks again.
Uzi feels her appetite plummet.
“Yeah…” She said softly.
The two go silent. Their forks become still, leaning against their dishes.
“I’ll try and call as much as I can.” Uzi offers.
“You better. I’ll be worried about you the whole time.” Khan returns, trying to grin.
Uzi can see how strained and sorrowful it is. This heavy feeling of guilt in her chest only weighs on her core even harder. Like it wants to rip it from her chest and splatter onto the floor. Like it wants to kill her.
“Maybe, if Ms. Alice lets me, I’ll send a few pictures of the scenery here. There’s a really pretty flower field Noji brought me to.” The Mothra Drone speaks through her clawing guilt.
“That sounds nice.” Khan nods. “Just make sure to be careful. Not all Titan Drones are nice like Noji, right?” He adds.
“Yeah, I know! You don’t have to tell me twice.” Uzi waves off with a sigh.
She turns her lavender gaze back to her father. Her wings jerk and her antennae start to droop.
“You’ll be fine in the shop without me, right?” She questions.
“Yes, I’ll be fine. There’s still plenty of other helpers, you know.” Khan reassures.
“Just thought I’d ask.” Uzi sighs.
She goes back to eating. She can hear her father do the same. Things are still tense. It only makes Uzi’s appetite worsen. It’s starting to get so bad that she’s beginning to feel physically sick continuing to eat like this.
“I’ll see how long it takes for you to be able to visit again.” Uzi breaks the silence.
“It probably won’t be for a while.” Her dad replies.
“Probably, but there’s no harm in asking, right?” His daughter looks up to him.
“Not unless it gets on Ms. Alice’s nerves.” Khan huffs a light laugh.
“Everything gets on Ms. Alice’s nerves.” Uzi retorts.
The two break out into a small fit of laughter. It doesn’t last long, and the mood still feels troubled, but it’s at least something to distract them from it.
“If you’re done with your plate, I can take it.” Uzi speaks as she gets up.
“Oh, thank you.” Khan hands her his tray.
The Mothra Drone takes it and moves to give the dishes back to the chefs and dishwashers. Uzi sets the trays onto a cart for whoever to take them and wash them. As she returns to her dad, she spots Alice talking to him. The Muto Drone is quick to notice her approach.
“Ah, Uzi. Tha sun’s goin’ down, so Ah was just tellin’ yer pops about needin’ tah leave soon.” She informed the Mothra Drone.
“I-Is that so…?” Uzi replies with a trail.
Her optics flick to her father. He looks like he doesn’t want to leave, not yet. Or perhaps not without her.
‘Yet I can’t do anything about it.’ Uzi internally sighs.
“Do you need any help getting home? Like, bags and stuff?” Uzi asks her father.
“No, some government folk have already packed my bags into a car for me.” Khan shakes his head. “Thank you for offering, however.” He smiles.
“Sure.” Uzi nods.
Alice stares at her. Uzi can see it from the corner of her optic.
“We should get goin’ before it gets too dark.” She speaks.
“Right.” Khan gets up.
Uzi follows them outside to the front doors. A car is waiting for her father in the car loop. A couple government faculty are waiting as well.
Khan and Uzi stop just before the car. Alice gets inside and leaves them with some privacy. She orders for the other Kaiju Drone to do the same.
“I won’t be able to see you for a while.” Khan starts. “So in the meantime, you be careful, okay?” He grins at her gently.
“I know. I’ll try.” Uzi nods back.
“Try?” Khan asks with a small laugh.
“It’s kind of hard to stay ‘safe’ in a place like this.” His daughter shrugs.
“I guess so.” Her dad sighs.
“Like I said though, I’ll try and take some pictures for you. Let you know how I’m doing and all that.” Uzi told him. “If… Ms. Alice doesn’t stop me, first.” Her face plates are graced with a tiny smirk.
“Maybe you should just take them discreetly then.” Khan advises.
“Yeah, then I’ll get into even more trouble with Ms. Alice when she finds out.” Uzi giggles.
“It’s not like you aren’t a troublemaker already!” Khan argues, his brows furrowing as he smiles.
“Alright, you got me there.” Uzi holds her hands up in mock surrender.
There’s a short fit of laughter. The two quiet down quickly and simply stare. Digital brows furrow and a sense of dreariness forms over their heads.
“I’m sorry.” Uzi eventually whispers, her head turning to the ground.
Khan stares and blinks at her.
“I know.” He replies.
It was the same thing her mother said-
Khan walks up to his daughter and embraces her. Uzi hugs him back twice as firmly. She buries her face into the crook of his neck, feeling his synthetic hair one last time. For as much as his ever-rampant shedding irritated her, she think she’ll actually miss it.
“I’ll come and visit as soon as I can. Be good while I’m gone, alright?” Her father tells her.
“I will. Don’t worry.” Uzi replies through a teary strain in her voice.
Khan pulls back and holds her face. He wipes the virtual tears from them with his thumbs. Uzi feels like a child as she leans into his touch, but she can’t help it. She won’t be able to feel his touch for who knows how long.
And as her dad’s hands pull away, Uzi has the urge to follow them. But she doesn’t. She just turns and watches him get into the government vehicle. Khan returns her gaze from the car window.
“Ah’ll be back soon. If ya have any questions, ask Emily or Amelia.” Alice tells the Mothra Drone.
“Right…” Uzi nods in reply.
Alice glances at her for a few seconds.
“Let’s go.” She tells the driver, turning her gaze back around.
Uzi watches the car pull away and travel onto the dirt roads and pathways into the forest. It becomes lonely and she feels her guilt and sadness writhing within her frame. The weight of her guilt only tugs harder on her core, trying to makes the wires and tubes helping hold it up snap.
“Are you alright?” Emily’s soft voice asks.
“...” Uzi is completely silent.
“Uzi-?” Emily calls, cocking her head.
“I’m going to bed.” Is all the Mothra Drone says.
Uzi turns around and heads back into the hotel. Her shoes scrape against the ground as she barely picks up her feet. Emily watches with the concern written all over her face plates.
But she doesn’t chase after her. She doesn’t think that’s what Uzi needs right now.
Opening her bedroom door, Uzi was met with the unfamiliar new room granted to her. She walks inside with trudging feet and closes the door. The curtains are drawn and are dark enough they block most of the light.
Locking the door’s handle, Uzi leans against the barrier. She slides to the floor and stares at her taloned feet. Uzi pulls her knees to her chest and hides her face in them. Her arms grip tightly at her legs and her wings slump to the ground.
The pale purple antennae on her head fall completely limp and drape gently over her forearms. A few sobs quake from Uzi’s voice box. Hiccups interrupt her tears and force her to take rapid vents.
But Uzi doesn’t allow herself to cry above a whisper.
And she falls into Sleep Mode some hours later, sitting against her door.
Sirens blare and ring loud in his audials. Red flashes all around and fires break out beneath his feet. Fearful screams try to rise above the smoke and ringing, but are still drowned. Radiation is absorbed through his plating.
Noji tears his way through the nuclear power plant. He gives little notice to the Kaiju Drones trying to avoid his feet. He makes a bee-line towards the nuclear reactor, the feeling of radiation growing stronger as he approaches.
His claws grapple onto the tile floors of the hallway. His spinal plates tear through the ceiling above, making dust and debris litter the floor. He leaves nothing less than a destructive trail behind himself.
Upon reaching the nuclear reactor, Noji bursts in with a headbutt. He rises up to his full height as he gets inside, a growl leaving his throat and mist puffing from his nostrils.
Noji continues to ignore anyone else and makes his way towards the nuclear reactors. He rips them open and opens his mouth wide. His spine plates glow as bright a blue as his throat. Releasing the energy, Noji melts down the radioactive material and cooling rods.
Metal burns and concrete crumbles and melts. The stench of iron fumes and scorching ash fill the air. The radiation grows more and more as a meltdown takes effect within the power plant.
Noji’s atomic breath wears off and thins out into nothingness. The rings dissipate and he leans forward into the reactor vessel to consume his prize. The burning hot sensation of molten iron and liquid nuclear fuel is energizing to him.
And it doesn’t take long for Noji to finish his meal. He moves on to the next reactor, repeating the process. Just as the radiation rises to critical levels, perhaps even past that, it lowers as it is all eaten up, leaving nothing more than Elephant Feet in the Titan Drone’s wake.
Once he’s finished, Noji growls and huffs. He heads towards the other wall, bursting through it with the bulk of his frame. More fires light up the night as lighting wires snap and ignite fluids or begin to burn.
Sirens and lights continue to fill the building with commotion. Noji sees no more Kaiju Drones as he leaves and returns home. He licks the remnants of the cores from his lips, satisfied for another night.
But the nagging feeling of dread and something powerful still lingers in the back of his head. It annoys Noji to no end, and he starts to wonder if it isn’t just him starting to lose it.
‘No. It’s not.’ He tells himself, his blue gaze narrowing on the forest. ‘It was the same with Vodan.’
‘It is danger.’ A snarl leaves his baring fangs.
It has to be. Because when else has this feeling crept upon his back and spinal plates?
Though, Noji has to admit, it feels especially strong this time. Just what kind of danger could be encroaching upon them? What will he have to face this time?
Noji shakes his head and speeds up. He begins jogging through the forest, pushing trees out of his way. Branches break and deep grooves are left from his claws. He huffs and pants with his jog, eager to get home.
He’ll have to go out tomorrow night and stock up on more fuel and energy. He needs to be prepared for the danger that’s coming their way. With it still being an unknown threat, who knows how much he’ll need.
But until this said threat makes itself known, Noji will put a little more focus into his wife. She must be lonely without him!
Oh, and- Maybe talk to Vodan too. He almost forgot.
Chapter Text
Uzi stretched out her back and wings as she headed for the large garage. She let out a strained sigh as her frame relaxed, pain running along her spinal ridge and shoulders.
‘I should’ve gone crying in my bed instead.’ She outwardly huffed.
Tuning back into her surroundings, Uzi headed out into the sunny weather. The said sun’s rays bathed upon her plating gently. The humidity warmed her right up from the chilly A/C within the hotel.
“Hey, Uzi! You’re finally up!” Emily greeted with a wave. “Thankfully, we don’t have too many Titan Drones to take care of today, so it shouldn’t be too hard.” She grinned.
“That’s a relief. My back is killing me.” Uzi replied as she stretched her neck.
“Did you sleep wrong?” Amelia asked next, pouring soap into kiddie pools.
“Uh– A bit…” A sweat drop blinked onto Uzi’s visor. “I’ll be fine, though! It’s not like I haven’t strained my back before.” She was quick to wave off.
“If you say so…” Emily shrugged. “Anyways, the Titan Drones are being fed by helicopters right now. Some are bound to arrive for some cleaning afterwards, however.” She spoke, bringing out some mops from a closet.
Uzi caught one of them in her hand. “Is there anything else on the schedule today?”
“Check stock on supplies are report it to Ms. Alice.” Amelia spoke, swirling the soapy water around with her mop. “And also help around the hotel a bit. There’s bound to be more chores given out by Ms. Alice later.” She added.
“Doesn’t sound like we’ll be that busy.” Uzi noted.
“Well, taking care of the Titan Drones already takes multiple hours on its own,” Emily pointed out, dipping her mop into the kiddie pool. “By the time we’re done, it’ll most likely be late afternoon.”
Uzi let out a sigh at that. She had no real desire to be all giant robots’ nanny. It wasn’t even her intention upon discovering this place…
“Oh, did you hear? There was another attack on a nuclear power plant.” Amelia suddenly spoke. “I saw Ms. Alice when coming down for breakfast this morning. She was pissed.” She giggled.
“Again? Really?” Emily sighed back, her expression falling. “How many times is Noji gonna do that? He’s bound to get himself locked up…”
Uzi’s optics narrowed on the two. Her wings and antennae twitched as she dipped in the tip of her mop from further away.
“I’m surprised he wasn’t after the first attack!” Amelia laughed with fluttering wings. “But… This is still strange.” Her grin was quick to fall.
Uzi’s antennae flicked closer to them.
“He doesn’t usually go outside of the paradise, even when in a hunting frenzy.” Amelia noted.
“That’s true…” Her twin nodded back. “Makes you wonder why he’s doing so all of a sudden.” Her wings drooped.
A Titan Drone came into the garage, lying down onto one of the box silhouettes on the floor. Amelia picked up the large hose to start spraying her down.
“Do you think Ms. Alice would tell us about it if we asked?” The Fairy Mothra Drone wondered.
Emily shook her head. “Doubtful. I’m sure it’s supposed to be more classified information.” Her mop slapped onto the robot’s side.
Amelia clicked her tongue. “She always gets to know all the good gossip…” Her lips pursed in a pout.
Uzi gave them a narrow stare. The Titan Drone huffed and she stirred back to reality. Uzi rubbed down the giant’s tail with her mop, getting into the crevices to get all the dirt out.
“Hey, Uzi! You’re buddies with Noji, right?” Amelia poked her head around the robot’s back. “Do you have any idea why he’s going around and attacking nuclear plants?”
“If I knew, I probably wouldn’t be here right now.” The Mothra Drone sighed back. “To be honest, it’s how I got stuck here in the first place. I was trying to figure out that mystery myself, then got led out to this hidden place.” Her wings flicked in mild annoyance.
“I heard something about that. You used to have a podcast, right?” Emily questioned next.
“Mhm.” Was all Uzi hummed.
“Sorry you had to stop doing that. Ms. Alice has her reasons, though!” The Fairy Mothra spoke with a small smile.
Uzi glanced at her. Her brows furrowed deeper and she spun her head away. Her antennae fell a bit and her wings tucked closer to her back. Even her grey, fluffy abdomen twitched.
“If you all were really ‘sorry’, you’d let me go from this damn place.” She huffed.
Emily and Amelia watched as her grip on her mop tightened. Sweat drops blinked onto their visors at it.
“We can’t really do anything about that. You’d have to convince Ms. Alice to do that.” Amelia told her, turning away.
Uzi just flicked her wings. Their conversation died right on the spot after that.
Hours of cleaning Titan Drones, feeding them snacks, keeping them entertained enough to stay still, and getting ordered around by Alice left Uzi thoroughly exhausted. And also sore.
She took a seat on the warm grass of the back patio right behind the garage. A sigh left her lips and Uzi arched her back to ease the pain in her wires. Yet nothing she did seemed to work.
“Is your back getting worse?” Emily asked as she came over, wiping down her hands.
“A bit.” Uzi replied as she stretched out her wings.
“Maybe you should take the rest of the day off? It’s already lunchtime, anyway.” Emily suggested with a grin.
“If I do that, Alice will get all pissy with me.” Uzi scoffed with a jerk of her antennae.
“I’ll tell her I said you could! And I’ll even make up for your shift!” Emily smiled wider.
Uzi stared at her for a moment. “Still doubt I’ll get out of a scolding at least.” She said.
“Well, a scolding is better than an actual punishment, right?” Emily cocked her head.
“Mmm… I guess so…" Uzi leaned onto her palm, her lips pursing.
“Then go and take a break! The flower fields here are super nice and have tons of natural nectar to drink! You might like it!” The Fairy Mothra Drone waved her hands in a shooing motion. “It’ll be good for your back as well! Less moving around and twisting!”
“Alright, alright! I’m going!” Uzi huffed as she got up. “But you’re taking any and all punishments Alice might give me!” She pointed.
“That’s fine! Just go!” Emily giggled.
Uzi gave her one last light glare before finally turning. She spread her wings and fluttered up, making a U-turn towards the flower fields. Emily watched her leave until her form disappeared behind the hotel.
With careful flaps, Uzi lowered herself into a vibrant and thick field of flowers. She looked around at the many pops of color dazzling underneath the sun’s rays. Smaller butterflies flittered and danced about with the bees.
Uzi took some careful steps through the grasses and flowers. She could smell all the natural floral scents without even having to lean in close. It eased her nerves and made the tension in her frame relax a little.
A sigh passed right through Uzi’s lips. Her antennae rose a little higher and her wings brushed gently against soft petals and leaves. Her hand stretched out to run her sensory pads against the bright petals.
Crouching down, Uzi stared into the yellow pistil. She took a good whiff of it, catching a hint of nectar. Opening her optics, Uzi glanced around. With the coast clear, she opened her mouth.
Her mandibles extended out and grasped carefully onto the flower. Uzi brought it close before shooting out her tongue—her proboscis. She sipped up the nectar hidden inside the large flower, hesitant at first before realizing how good it tasted.
Uzi drank up the nectar with a little more fervour. When the flower was emptied, she took a minute to linger on the taste.
‘Very sweet. More than the stuff I buy at the store, I think.’ Her eye lights were wide in shock. ‘The taste is also strong. Almost too strong.’ Her secondary arms fidgeted.
“It’s… Good.” Uzi nodded in finality.
She got up and looked around for more flowers to drink from. With so many around, it wasn’t hard to find good ones. Of course, she had a bit of competition with the butterflies and bees.
But as Uzi was going around and inspecting each flower, a pair of white eye lights stared at her back. Uzi’s antennae twitched and she spun around, proboscis tongue sticking into a flower. She saw no threats or Titan Drones of any sort behind herself.
As soon as she turned back around, the eye lights reappeared. Flowers and vines disturbed and rustled, causing Uzi to spin right back around. But still, she saw nothing. A sweat drop blinked onto Uzi’s visor as she slowly turned back around.
She barely got her proboscis back into her flower before she felt a pair of her optics on her once more. Getting fed up, Uzi flared out her wings, blowing bust, leaves, and flower petals all around.
Uzi spun right on her heel in the midst of the floral torrent. Yet she froze right in place as she locked optics with a creature far larger than her. And for a solid minute, the two of them were utterly silent. It allowed Uzi to get a good look at the robot, especially with the debris falling back down.
A Titan Drone, that was for sure. Long hair that couldn’t decide if it wanted to be grey or green, the ends tied with thorny yellow roses. A large rose sat on the back of her head. The Titan’s chest was covered in metallic vines, holding some large, orange-glowing core inside.
Moss and leaves clung to the seams of her plating. The Titan Drone wore a dress made of humongous, emerald green rose leaves, making it impossible to know what was underneath. Though, Uzi swore she could see a couple of roots sticking out beneath the dress’ underskirt.
And for some odd reason, the dress really reminded her of a maid outfit. The multiple thick vines with mouths on the ends did not, however.
Uzi’s wings flared out in panic. More petals and dirt went flying about. The action didn’t phase the larger robot(?) at all. Uzi debated hard on whether or not to fly away, on whether that’d be a death sentence or not.
“You are big brother’s wife!” Though, it seems the decision was made for her.
Uzi was swiped right off her feet by the larger robot. She yelped and kicked her legs about, trapped within the grasp of the planty Titan Drone.
“He has talked about you! He likes you!” The grassy drone simpered. “He likes your fluff! I like it, too!” She giggled as her vine heads came near to sniff the Mothra Drone.
One of her thumbs ran over Uzi’s neck fur. She shrieked and thrashed about harder. The grassy robot just brought her close to her chest, nuzzling into Uzi’s cheek.
“It is nice to meet you! I have been waiting!!” She exclaimed jovially.
Uzi took a pause at that. For once, she took a couple seconds to actually process what this giant was saying.
“You– You know Noji?” She asked through her voided eye lights and panting vents.
She nodded. “Mhm! He is my big brother!” The other girl returned.
Uzi blinked at her a few times.
“You look nothing alike.” She noted.
“We… Get that a lot…” The other robot laughed nervously. “But I have finally met his wife! I am so happy!” She giggled again, lifting Uzi back into the air.
“Oh! I am Hyacinth! What is my brother’s wife’s name?” She cocked her head.
Uzi just stared back at her in pure shock for a few seconds. “U-Uzi…” She finally replied.
Hyacinth hummed in delight. “It is nice to meet you, Uzi! I can’t wait to be friends with you!” Her vine heads smiled with her, each and every mouth showing off sharp and thick fangs.
‘And of course, it’s impossible to miss the small tusks in the back corners of her jaws…’ A sweat drop scrolled down Uzi’s visor.
“That’s… Soooo something I’m looking forward to as well…!” Uzi then vented out with a nervous grin.
The two’s conversation was cut short as the rumbling of a car came close. The two ladies turned in time to see a government Jeep stroll up to them. As soon as Alice stepped out, Uzi felt her mood plummet even more.
“Ah see you’ve met Hyacinth.” Alice spoke in greeting. “And Ah see she’s pretty excited about it.” She smirked.
“I am!” Hyacinth nodded eagerly. “I can see why my brother likes her! She is pretty and fuzzy! It tickles my face!” She laughed along with her vine heads.
“Yeah, yeah! That’s nice! Can you put me down now!?” Uzi shouted, getting fed up with being manhandled.
Hyacinth did as told, gently setting the Mothra back onto her taloned feet. Uzi scooted back whilst brushing moss and dust off her clothes with all four hands.
“Ya don’t need tah look so angry or defensive. Hyacinth won’t hurt ya.” Alice told her.
“For now, maybe.” Uzi grumbled as her wings twitched.
Alice rolled her optics. “If Noji isn’t gonna hurt ya, then it’s ah guarantee she won’t, either!” She exclaimed. “Just play nice, even if ya don’t like her.” She muttered behind her hand.
Uzi still wasn’t sure if she believed that or not. But Alice turned to the Titan Drone and addressed her.
“How have things been lately, Hyacinth? Tha flowers still growing well?” The Muto Drone inquired.
“They are! And their nectar is very sweet this year!” The other robot said.
“That’s good! Ah’m sure some of tha other Titan Drones will be glad tah hear that!” Alice grinned. “You keep up the good work!”
Hyacinth nodded. “By the way, how has big brother been doing? He has been so busy, we barely talk.” She questioned with a cock of her head.
Alice stiffened at her, her smile threatening to fall. “He’s… Fine.” She spoke shakily.
Hyacinth didn’t seem all that convinced that he was so “fine.”
“I thought he attacked another nuclear power plant recently– OW!!” Uzi yelped and rubbed her arm.
“Shut it, Doorman!” Alice grounded out, reeling her secondary arm’s elbow back.
Hyacinth let out a forlorn sigh and lowered her head. “I have heard that he has been sneaking out lately.” Her gaze turned towards the sky. “He is paranoid, afraid. He thinks something dangerous is making its way here.”
Alice and Uzi both had sweat drops blink onto their visors at that.
“Just like with Vodan?” The Southern Muto inquired.
Hyacinth nodded. “Just like with Vodan.”
Uzi glanced between the two. Alice noticed, flicking her orange optics towards her for a second.
“Ah’ll explain later.” She muttered to her.
All Uzi could do was nod in return.
“Well, ya keep an optic on yer big brother. If he does anything dangerous—more than he already is—tell me.” Alice turned back to the Titan Drone.
“I will.” Hyacinth nodded again. “And you will visit again sometime, Uzi?” She turned her white gaze to the said woman.
Uzi flinched for a second. “S-Sure. The nectar here is good. I like it.” She nodded back unsurely.
Hyacinth beamed. “Big brother will be glad to hear you like them! So I will keep the flowers healthy!”
“Well, we better be off. Uzi’s lunch break is long over.” Alice spoke up again, turning for the car. “Let’s go, Doorman.” She waved.
Uzi waved the Titan Drone goodbye. Hyacinth waved back excitedly. As Uzi took a heavy seat in the back of the Jeep and let out a sigh, she turned towards Alice as she started the car.
“So… What even is Hyacinth? I can tell she’s more than just a robot.” Uzi’s gaze narrowed.
Alice let out a sigh from her vents. “She’s ah Biollante Drone. She’s both ah robot and ah bushel of roses.” She told her simply. “Ah’ll tell ya more about her during dinner. Right now, there’s still work tah do.”
Uzi didn’t say anything in return. She had a feeling Alice was keeping a lot of information from her. And not just about Hyacinth.
