Chapter 1: Howdy Neighbor
Chapter Text
Today was the day.
Agatha looks herself over in the mirror, adjusting her pendant once more before giving it a nod of approval. “Hot.” she puckers her lips up at herself in the mirror before moving away to grab her jacket. A spritz of perfume and a mental count of everything she needed before walking out the door.
A quick pat down and she’s off.
Agatha had dressed to impress today, making sure to spread more pheromone oil on herself than she normally did in hopes that it would impress her new boss. The stronger you stunk of pheromones, the more impressed someone was of your possible status. Or at least that was how the world worked now that something had thrown the balance off in the magical world.
It hadn’t always been like this. There was always a power dynamic in the world, some had powers and others didn’t, but not like this. This was something to control who held a whole different kind of power.
Magic always had its place in Agatha’s life, her craft had always been important to her, but once she presented as an omega she had to learn to use her powers in different ways.
After Agatha had awoken as an omega, she knew she wasn’t going to be getting respect from anyone no matter if she was smarter, stronger, or more powerful. She was simply breeding stock to the people around her. She and every other omega that was so unlucky to awaken to sweat covering their bodies in their first heat. The memory of having to ride out her first heat with her pillow between her legs wasn’t one that Agatha wanted to live again.
Not only because she didn’t want to think about how agonizing that night was, but she didn’t want to scent through her panties with slick. She could suppress her scent all day but the moment she got wet she smelt like an omega in need.
Her walk to the office was as uneventful as ever, stopping at her local coffee shop being her only stop. As she stands in line, waiting to make her order, she recognizes a scent. It was common to get a whiff of the nearest Alpha trying to assert some kind of dominance so they could take the seat someone was sitting in, but this was different. This was a natural confidence that was much less common.
A short look around the room had her eyes moving, along with a few others, to a woman making her way to pick up coffee. A deep green leather jacket over a black dress shirt with a gray tie to bring it all together. The woman was dripping in the kind of confidence that brings down armies, but instead of flaunting it like others might she simply makes her way through the room silently.
There was no way she didn’t know there were eyes on her. Agatha shrugs as she steps forward, assuming that the woman in very nice dress clothes was simply used to it. The line moves and Agatha moves mindlessly with it, now at the counter but her attention is pulled back to watching the Alpha in the green jacket. She wishes the jacket were a little shorter so she could see the full shape of the woman’s rear, but what she was able to see was beautiful.
“Excuse me… are you ready to order?” Agatha’s attention was brought back to reality with the register girl’s voice.
“Yes… that woman that just left, I’d like what she had.” The poor girl behind the register simply tilts her head as if confused as to why this Alpha, Agatha, wanted the order of another Alpha.
“Are you going to take my order or not, girl.” putting her Alpha mask back on. The girl behind the register gets back to pressing buttons to make up the order and looks back to the barista who had made the drink for the unknown Alpha that Agatha felt might have changed the mood of the room just by walking into it. After paying for her drink, Agatha moves off to the side, near where the drinks are left to be picked up.
A few moments pass, and Agatha pulls her phone out, scrolling through a few photos on her phone before she hears her name called and a cup being sent across the small table meant for pick up. Just as Agatha reaches to take her cup the door of the store opens and the woman in the green jacket walks in, moving across the floor in shockingly long strides. Agatha turns just in time for them to be face to face.
She is so gorgeous.
Her warm brown eyes were wide, not expecting to run into someone. Agatha couldn’t stop looking at this woman. Her dark black curls, plump lips, and a gaze she felt like she had seen before. The woman smirks as she inhales the air around them subtly. A common thing for an Alpha to do when approaching someone new. Agatha had gotten used to doing this as well, lucky that most people she took the scent of didn’t hit her the same way this woman, standing in front of her, hit her.
The scent that hit her nose was like orange and cinnamon. The type of orange that refreshes you the moment you put it in your mouth, then the cinnamon spices the back of your tongue, reminding you that it’s there. She could taste the cinnamon, and feel the burn in the back of her throat. It was choking her.
“Excuse me.” her voice hit her ears like a siren’s song.
“Fuck” Agatha says under her breath, just looking at the woman in front of her.
“Come again?” The woman with green and black eye make-up says, unsure of why Agatha was acting the way she was towards her. Agatha didn’t show signs of challenging this Alpha, but the two of them just standing there, face to face, Agatha unable to communicate, stirs the slightly taller woman to reach past the stone-like witch. “You’re in the way of the stirring sticks.” grabbing a small wooden stick, exposing part of her neck directly in front of Agatha’s nose, then pulls away.
Agatha pulls out of her stunned state when the scent of this woman, now almost touching her, hits her with a fresh wave of pheromones. It was meant to get Agatha to back off or move, but her submissive omega mind stirred inside of her. A grunt leaves her throat and finally, she backs up, coffee in hand. Before she can apologize, the other woman is gone and she is there having to focus on her magic so she can keep her scent under control.
With a hurried pace, she leaves the coffee shop, doing her best to act like she wasn’t caught for letting out any possible scent. A few blocks down she’s able to find a small stall to hide in while she gets undressed. The day had just started and she was already ruining her panties over a stranger in the coffee shop.
A look over the light lavender-colored panties shows a crime scene of how turned on she had been just taking in that woman’s scent. “Fuck… really?” there wasn’t a point in trying to clean them up, the smell would stick unless she used her detergent. Turning to the trash to toss them, pulls up her pants without replacement panties, then heads towards work.
She could feel herself getting more and more annoyed by the thought of the woman. Her honey-brown eyes felt like they bore into Agatha’s very being. The softness of the way she spoke with her bottom lip, she wasn’t sure why she couldn’t keep her thoughts off that woman’s lips, but the slight hint of red on them.
A shake of Agatha’s head before she murmurs “Stop..” before she knew it, she was in front of the office. Agatha looks up at the building, then down at the doors in front of her. She takes two quick breaths and heads inside.
“Okay, nothing’s going to ruin this day.” she murmurs to herself as she looks to the elevators, realizing they’re about to close “Shit.. Hold the door!” she calls out, and as if magic was called on it stops. A smirk pulls across the omega’s face until she gets to the door to see the woman from the coffee shop standing in the elevator, holding her hand out.
Agatha lets out a throaty grunt at the sight of the woman, frustration starts to build again. “Really?” meant more for herself as she joins the coffee shop woman into the lift.
“What have I done now?” the green-jacketed woman asks, her head tilted at Agatha as she questions.
“Nothing. Nothing. It’s nothing at all.” she murmurs under her breath, not wanting to talk about it.
The ride up to the office space was silent, an aura of discomfort wrapping around them both until the scent of calm pushes through it. Agatha could feel herself shaking from it, looking over at this unknown woman who was pushing calming pheromones out in massive waves. Agatha can’t stop herself from asking “What are you..”
“I had planned on doing this alone in my office, but with the odd tension you’re putting off, I might as well do it now.” Those honey-brown eyes looked back up at Agatha, nearly stopping her breathing. “My name is Rio Vidal. You smell like you’re about to get sick just by looking at me. Have I done something to you?” Rio had felt the tension as soon as Agatha entered the elevator. The stink coming off of her was rotten, though Rio wasn’t unused to smelling rot. She still had her side hustle.
“No, I’m fine. Just not feeling well.” using her hair as if to try and cover her face. Of course, when she does this, Rio leans forward to get a better look at the woman she was bothering so much.
Agatha looks at her for a moment, letting go of her hair to let it fall back into place. “What?” using that fake Alpha attitude to try and get Rio to leave her alone. Rio leans back up with a smirk. “Apologies, m’lady.” Agatha furrows her brow. How can she be that hot and say shit like that? The scent dies down and the elevator doors open up. Agatha realizes she hadn’t pressed a floor button the moment she recognizes her office, then Rio’s back as she walks off the elevator.
Agatha looks around the elevator doors to see everyone in the office staring at Rio.
Fuck.
She had just snapped at her new boss and had been acting weird with her since the moment they had met. This was unfair, how was it possible that she was to find her new boss, the exact one she was trying to impress?
“Good to have you here, Rio!” a man’s voice could be heard as Agatha snakes her way out of the elevator and b-lines to her own office. “Fuckfuckfuckfuck” she murmurs as she walks. “I hope your trip here wasn’t too taxing. I know this is a bit smaller than your last office space but please feel free to take whichever open office we have.” the man continues. This comment causes Agatha’s eyes to widen as she passes one empty office, decently large, to get to her own office next to it. Pulling her office key out, she looks to the office to the other side of her, also empty. “I swear…”
“I think I’ll take this one.” Rio points out, her voice closer than Agatha had expected as she turns to see the man and Rio standing in front of the office Agatha had just passed. “I have a feeling this one will do just fine.” Agatha’s bright blue eyes looked like they were going to fall from her skull with how wide her eyes were when she realizes she was going to have to be office right next to the woman she had no interest in being around.
“Perfect! Agatha! Say hi to your new office neighbor!” the man says, Agatha gives a fake smile and a half wave. “Yeah, hi” is what she says as she forces her way into her own office. Just as she’s about to close the door she hears Rio speak.
“Good to see you again, neighbor.” her tone dripping like honey.
Chapter 2: Number 2 On My List
Summary:
Rio gets to find out a few vantage points in her office, meets the office security, then bothers Agatha.
It's another story building chapter, so bare with me my lovely friends.
Because of this, I'll be adding another chapter on Wednesday for you.
I'll be attempting to keep a schedule of posting on Fridays, sometimes if we are lucky I'll also post on Wednesdays as a little treat.
Chapter Text
Rio silently looks around the office she was given, the windows reaching from floor to ceiling but no curtains. The desk feels like a good, soft wood under her fingers. The chair was doable for something that had been there for Gods knows how long. After a look over the empty bookshelf behind her desk, she finally turns around to face the man who had greeted her when she first arrived. “Have someone bring me cleaning supplies. I’ll be bringing a few things from home to hang so I hope you don’t mind a few new holes in the walls and ceiling.”
The man shakes his head a few times before answering verbally “Of course not, make this your space. If you need anything at all please feel free to shoot me a message through text, email, message. Anything at all, really. I was told to make sure you feel at home.” he seemed all too eager to please, making Rio suspicious of him. She stands there, moving her fingers over the knuckles of her other hand, looking him over as if she were sizing him up. This man was an obvious beta. Trying to please anyone and everyone around him that could possibly have some kind of power.
“Thank you,” she says, breaking her stare. He had started to shift between feet as if becoming uncomfortable with her looking at him. Moving to stand by the wall that connects her office to Agatha’s and places a hand on it. “And you’re sure that everyone is fine with me hammering holes into the walls?” tapping her sharp nails against the wall she knew was likely thinner than anyone would like. The man looks to the wall, then to Rio “Oh, she’s just a little prickly. It’s fine. I believe it’s nearing time for her rutt so she’ll just be a little more aggressive.”
This makes Rio turn her head towards the man standing in the doorway. “She’s an Alpha?” not looking for an actual answer, but does think about the scent she picked up in the elevator and the coffee shop. She could have sworn she picked up a little bit of the omega need. Might have been someone she had been with in the past few nights. “Is that not an HR violation?” not bothering to look at the man when asked.
He looks shocked “I’m sorry?” questioning as if he didn’t realize he had done something wrong. A chortle slips past Rio’s red lips “If you, a manager, don’t know that it’s an HR violation to speak of someone’s cycles then it’s all too obvious why I’m here.” finally turning to look at him.
The man was visibly sweating.
“You’re dismissed. We will chalk it up to my pheromones. I relaxed you a little too much, my apologies.” even though she hadn’t been using her pheromones since the elevator with Agatha. Rio moves to sit in her chair, one leg crossing over the other before she looks back up at the man still standing in her doorway.
“I said you’re dismissed.” she repeats before putting off a pheromone that meant a gentle ‘leave’. The man took it a bit more aggressively than she had meant it, nodding his head up and down before stepping out and closing her door behind him, slamming it in his hurry.
A cringe rolls through Rio’s body at the slammed door, but her thoughts are brought back to the woman in the office behind her. She feels like she’s met that woman before and not just in the coffee shop. However, she couldn’t quite put her finger on where they might have met. Instead of mulling over it, she simply casts a short spell. Raising her hand and moving her fingers in a practiced motion as green and black wisps move around them. She then tosses her hand back, once wisp going to the wall, one small glowing orb moving to her ear.
Talk about HR violations.
She wasn’t worried about it, she hadn’t been caught casting magic in many years and there were very few that were able to pinpoint her magic specifically. Normally only banshees could call her out for using it in public.
Rio listens to the murmuring until it becomes clear in her ear.
Agatha, on the other side of the wall, was pacing in her office. The sound of her heeled feet hitting the ground was entertaining to the witch listening in on her.
“Of course, she’s the new boss. Of course, I snapped at her. Of course, I made a damned fool of myself in that fucking elevator.” whimpering out in frustration as she shuts the blinds in her office, blocking the visual of her acting like a fool off from the rest of the workplace.
“And she used pheromones on me?! Who does that to strangers?” the frustrated woman says in a half yell, realizing she’s been too loud she moves to her own window and looks out. Rio makes a face at Agatha complaining about her pheromones, but doesn’t move from her spot in her chair.
“Not to mention, she had three other offices to pick from that weren’t around me. If she knew I felt uncomfortable around her, why would she pick the office right next to me??” there was real question in her voice and Rio could tell without having to look at her demeanor.
Rio knew exactly why she chose this office. She had just met this… Agatha… and she was already interested in getting to know her better. She could tell this woman was another witch, but on top of that, her scent was interesting. Why would she be using false pheromones if she were a true Alpha? Rio had been able to smell the stench of the synthetic musk used. While some beta use them to be able to find a mate, using them in the workplace is so odd.
“Maybe she just wants to see me suffer. Typical Alpha, just wants everyone under her to feel her all mighty power.” Agatha groans out again as she moves to the wall she knew connected the two’s offices. A moment passes and she looks up at the vent just above where she was standing, then the same one on the other side of her office over her chair. The omega raises her hand into the air to see if she can feel air and as soon as she realizes she can’t, she sighs.
“Of course, there is both an intake and an A/C vent in here…” drumming her fingers over her own chin. Rio looks up to the ceiling to find that there were also two vents in her office but hers were both near her desk. Something evil brewed up in her when she realized that all the offices on this side of the building might have vents that are connected.
“Let’s test something out” Rio murmurs to herself as she puts out a pheromone that would cause calmness. She pushes out enough to reach the vent, then pulls it back. She didn’t want to overflow the vents, just wanted to know which way they blew. She had told Agatha she was planning on doing this once she was in her office anyway so at least she had a cover.
A few moments pass and she can hear another groan from the other side of the wall. A smile pulls across Rio’s face at the sound of the thump against the wall behind her. Agatha had thumped her back against the wall she had been standing at and slid down it. “And now I can smell her… can this day get any worse?” placing her face in her hands as if she needed a moment to sulk.
Without warning, a girl opens Rio’s office door and her focus is lost on the spell, dispelling it. A look of displeasure flashed across her face until she saw what the woman who had entered without knocking was holding.
“Mr.Stones told me you were wanting some cleaning supplies.” The woman states as her boots hit the ground with her steps. Rio looks at the girl in red over a few times, as she had with ‘Mr.Stones’, and hums “Thank you, feel free to set them here” patting at her desk. “And who might you be?” Figuring she had taken enough time to test out possible future she could bother her office neighbor without her realizing.
The shorter woman with raven black hair and red streaks in it starts putting things on Rio’s desk before speaking. “Alice. I work security. And errand running. And really anything that anyone in the office needs. I try to stay busy.” She admits, finally looking up at Rio, then dropping her eyes once more. “If there’s anything you need or something you need done, please let me know. I can get you meals, entertainment, and more.” Rio’s brows lift at the last comment.
”More?” It sounds like an actual question and Alice is quick to respond “Yes, I’m technically the office coordinator, but get paid for security so really anything you need me to do I can.” Making it clear she wasn’t just hitting on the new boss, but simply trying to be helpful. Rio nods a few times. “Come back to me in three months. I want to do a review of your responsibilities and your current position.” Leaning forward to take hold of one of the wraps Alice had dropped off “I have a feeling you’ve been doing far more than your job title lists.”
Alive gives a nod as Rio stands and turns to the wall behind her “If you could get me a few pallets from the nearby warehouse. Pull from their broken pallet stacks, offer them four dollars a pallet.” Alice was a little confused as to why she needed to get pallets, but she wasn’t about to question the woman who was trying to get her a raise based on her performance. “I’m on it. I’ll be back before lunch. Is there anything I can bring you?”
Rio just shakes her head as she touches the wall in front of her, then looks back to the rest of the room as if trying to figure out what to decorate with. Alice heads out and Rio follows behind her, Alice goes to the elevator and Rio takes a right. Her sights were set on the office door with the name ‘Agatha Harkness’ on it. A few knocks on the door and the sound of a crash from the other side of the door and Agatha cursing “Shit” under her breath before stumbling across the floor can be heard. “Hold on!” snapping through the door as Rio gave another light knock, smirking because she knew just how much she was annoying the poor woman.
Agatha swings the door open with a little more force than she had meant to “What?” realizing who she just snapped at, she makes a waving motion with her hand and contorts her face. Scrunching up her nose and puckering up her lips as if she were getting ready to snarl at the woman in front of her. “Sorry, I was just looking for something and…” realizing that what she was doing didn’t matter to the woman smirking at her as if she could see right through her.
“Anyway, what do you need?” Agatha’s tone was snippy, but not nearly as aggressive as she had been when she opened the door.
“I wanted to reintroduce myself. It felt like we didn’t exactly get off on the right foot before.” Rio tilts her head as she speaks. A quick inhale threw her teeth before she continued “I’d like to take you to lunch.” Agatha shakes her head “Come in, I’d like to set some things straight before we go out for some kind of meal.” her outside was stone cold and annoyed. Her internal self was panicking. Pacing. She was inviting the woman she had been checking out at the coffee shop into her office.
Agatha moves to sit at her desk, a heavy sigh as she roughly sits in her well-used chair. Rio follows, standing at the other side of the desk Agatha was behind. Rio takes notice that this is the same kind of desk that she has in her own office. It seemed as though Agatha didn’t care for interior decoration. She now looks around the room, scanning the items in the room. There was a bookcase just like the one in Rio’s office, but this one was half covered in books and half covered in random items. A torn-up-looking book lay down rather than sitting up with the rest of the books on the shelves. Rio tries to see the title of it but is brought back to this conversation when Agatha slaps her hand down on her desk.
Rio lifts her brows at this action but stays silent as it seems Agatha wants to get something off her chest. “So, I understand that I was a bit tense, but I don’t want you using your pheromones on me like that again.” Agatha leaned back in her chair, her legs spread a little too wide. “I don’t want you trying to influence me like that. I enjoy having my head about me and I expect to be respected for that. I am an Alpha as well and I don’t care if it makes things difficult for you, I-” Rio raises her hand, palm facing Agatha to cut off her words.
“Excuse me?!” Agatha barks out, Rio taking her palm and making it a single finger up at Agatha.
“Hush.” the order hit Agatha like a ton of bricks, shutting her up. Rio moves closer to her desk, places her hands on it, and leans in closer to the blue-eyed woman.
“I didn’t do that to control you. The second you walked into that elevator you started emitting a horrible scent and I didn’t want my new associates to smell the stench of discomfort coming out with us as we exited the elevator. I didn’t want them all meeting me like that and thinking I was being less than a model citizen while alone with you.” Rio explains. Agatha’s mouth opens and shuts like she has something to say but no words are coming out.
“I am the new boss here, you don’t think I know people are looking for reasons to hate me? The pheromones you were putting off were wildly inappropriate. I am here to improve this workspace and as of right now, you are number two on my list of things that need to be done.” her tone was cool. It was smooth. The way Rio spoke to Agatha was like she was speaking to an angered dog that needed calming. Agatha’s brows furrow at this comment.
“What do you mean I’m the second thing on your list? You just got here? You think you know enough about me to determine anything?” her lips pulled back into what would have been a snarl if she weren’t at work. Rio smiles at the expression, “You have an attitude about you that might intimidate those around you. While this might be a natural behavior of an Alpha, it’s not something I see helping this company in the long run.” leaning a little closer to Agatha. Agatha’s blue eyes travel down, realizing she can see right down Rio’s top, then looks away in a motion that looks like someone submitting.
“I want to get you more comfortable in the workspace and more comfortable in a space with others.” inhaling a breath through her teeth as she stood up straight again. “So I would appreciate it if you went to lunch with me.” walking towards Agatha’s office door. A thrill was rolling in Rio’s lower belly, an odd feeling for her to have for another Alpha, but a tilt of her head resulted in a crack of her neck before she stopped in the doorway, looking back.
Agatha was just sitting there, her mouth slightly agape, brow furrowed in confusion. The things Rio had said were shocking to her. How did she let any kind of scent, other than the oil she had put on herself, be detected? No one else has ever been able to pick up on her scents unless she had a heat slipup. Agatha looks up to Rio and nods a few times “Yeah, we can go to lunch. Don’t come back in here until then.” her glare was meant to keep the Alpha out of her territory, but all it did was bring a chortle from Rio.
“Te veo,” the new office manager says before leaving the office.
Chapter 3: Soup and Secrets
Chapter Text
Agatha couldn’t focus the rest of the day.
She might as well have been twiddling her fucking thumbs all day with how distracted she was after how the conversation with Rio had gone. Agatha was ready to rip out her own hair with all the questions she had, one of them being how in the hell Rio could pick up her scent when she was fully focused on it while she had been around her. Hell Agatha kept her pheromones in check every day of her corporate life.
Turning her head to press her nose to her shoulder and sniff. She couldn’t even smell her own scents, Rio had to be some grade-A witch or a super Alpha. “A freak is what she is.” murmuring as she typed up a few more emails before slapping her hands on her lap. “Done. Time to have lunch with-.” her words cut short when she looks up to see Rio at the entrance of her office.
The smirk on her face made Agatha’s blood boil.
And makes her rub her thighs together under her desk.
Agatha stands up from her desk, walking out from behind it as she says “Do you always creep in people’s doorways?” she asks as she brushes off the front of her dress shirt. Rio gives a half-cocked smirk, crossing her arms over her chest. “Not normally, but I didn’t want you to miss our lunch.” The cocky grin on her face infuriated Agatha, but she did agree to a lunch and she’d be damned if this woman was able to hold something over her head.
Agatha fixes her collar and straightens her pendant then moves to stand in front of Rio. She was about to step a little too close to go for a false Alpha intimidation tactic, but the woman’s scent was shockingly strong and the omega didn’t want to risk causing any further issues for herself. “Let’s go then, do you know any places in the area? Or are you expecting me to know where to go because you’re new?” Agatha’s snark brings a light laugh out of Rio, but this does not impress Agatha.
“No, I had Alice pick a place for us to go. I want you to feel like you can relax. Don’t need to make too many choices other than what you’d like to put in your body.” pointing a single, manicured, finger at Agatha before leaning back to leave her doorway and head to the elevator. “She informed me that there’s a really good soup bar you order from often. Why not have a meal in the bar for once?” speaking behind herself at Agatha, looking to make sure she was following.
The annoyed look on Agatha’s face, as she follows behind Rio, is enough for the green witch to be happy with herself. A press of the elevator button and they were off. This trip in the elevator was much less eventful, Agatha just as uncomfortable as she had been before. The ding of the ground floor was a relief to Agatha as she appeared to exit the small space like there was a fire left in it.
Rio tilts her head and smiles at the woman’s antics. “You are such an interesting character,” she said as she walked outside, holding the door open for Agatha. A shake of Agatha’s head when she walks through and goes directly to start flagging a taxi. Rio follows her out with a confused look “What are you doing? I have a car in the lot.” pushing her hands into her pockets, walking away from Agatha.
“You have a car? How did you get to work after me if you have a car?” she questions, a little jog to catch up to Rio. Luckily the wind was blowing away from her so she didn’t have to get a face full of Rio’s scent. However, the woman in green freezes for a moment, looking back at Agatha. Her eyes scan her over again, the same way she had done a few times now. “Yes.” a slight crack in her voice before she clears it. “Yes, I have a car. My condo is halfway across town. While it would be easier to just teleport here, it’s not as reliable.”
Agatha gawks at Rio for a moment “What?” the half shout was… ear piercing… and makes Rio let out a witchy cackle, then a woot. “I’m joking!” her laughing is dying down when they approach her SUV. It was a geyser blue Subaru Outback, the newest one on the market. “Are you kidding me? Could you look more like an Alpha female with this thing?” walking around to the passenger side. Rio places her hand on the door handle, the driver's side unlocking and opening. “Are you trying to say I’m confirming some kind of stereotype?” hopping in the vehicle and shutting the door, looking over at Agatha through the closed passenger door.
Agatha pulls on the handle and realizes it’s still locked. Looking inside the vehicle she can see Rio smirking as she presses over the button to unlock all the doors. “Haha, very funny. You have the humor of a child.” opening the door and getting in. Rio buckles in and push starts the SUV “You tend to bully the people around you that make you uncomfortable.” Rio calls out the woman next to her as she pulls off and starts driving to their destination.
Agatha is shocked silent.
—---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As the hostess seats them, Agatha notices that it’s one of those smaller tables by the fireplace that only has two chairs. “You didn’t think about getting a slightly bigger table?” Rio, looking over the menu, answers her “No. I didn’t think I was going to be having lunch today so it was a last-minute reservation.” calling a waiter over with a wave of her hand. Once the man comes over, Rio points down to the drink menu “I’d like a Midori Sour to start.” her eyes move to Agatha. “You?”
Agatha doesn’t bother to look at the menu before answering “Whiskey on the rocks.” speaking to the man as if he weren’t as important as staring down Rio. “So what’s your plan? You want me to act differently, and I want to know how you plan on making me do it.” spreading her legs wide under the table and slouched in her chair.
Rio’s legs were also slightly spread, enough that if she moved just a little her knee would brush up against Agatha’s. “I don’t want to make you act differently, I want to show you that there isn’t a need to be so hostile around others.” the waiter leaves to get their drinks from the bar. Rio’s brown eyes watching him leave before she looks back to Agatha, leaning a little closer. “I would like to become friends so maybe, sometime in the future, you can be more comfortable around me.” Agatha’s brows rise at this and she chuckles “Okay, so you just wanted an excuse to be my friend. This is a really weird way of going about it.” The waiter brings their drinks, setting down the whiskey in front of Agatha and a bright green drink in front of Rio.
“Thank you.” Rio murmurs to the man before looking to Agatha who purposely didn’t thank the man or simply forgot. “No, I didn’t do this just to be your friend. I took it upon myself to ask around and see how you treat others in the office. You normally seem quite professional and,” pausing to take a sip from her drink before continuing “, easy enough to work with. So I assumed that the issue was with me.”
Agatha shakes her head, glass to her bottom lip before a quick swig is taken and the cup is sat back down. “What makes you think you’re an issue with me? We’ve barely been around one another.” Trying to play it off like the woman hadn’t said she could pick up on Agatha’s scent.
”That’s the issue, I feel like I’ve seen you before but I really can’t seem to remember.” Taking another sip before her cup joins Agatha’s “And your scent tells me you’re terribly uncomfortable around me. I can smell you now.” Looking around a moment, then looking back at Agatha “I can also tell you’re drinking something you don’t even like the taste of.” Tapping her sharp nail against the rim of Agatha’s cup.
”Why would you drink something you don’t enjoy?” Rio questions. Agatha shifts in her seat, sitting up and clearing her throat “It’s what my father drank, I’d rather not have to explain why drinking it is gross, but comforting.” A lie and Rio could smell it on Agatha's scent but didn’t say anything.
”I see, my apologies. So why do you feel uncomfortable around me?” Tilting her head to accent her question.
Agatha inhales deep, then exhales loudly “Because you being here threatens my job. I’ve worked hard to get where I am now and I have done everything, and I mean EVERYTHING to keep climbing up.” Rio leans back while listening to Agatha speak, her tongue against her cheek, rolling over her teeth while drumming her fingers over Agatha’s glass.
”I have given up relationships. I have given up time with family. I have given up.” Stopping what she was about to say, grabbing the drink Rio had been playing with and takes a large gulp. “I gave up so much and having you here means I haven’t done my job well enough. It means that someone has to come in and be my partner in this because someone thought I couldn’t handle it.” Finishing up with another drink that empties her cup. Seeing the empty cup hit the table, Rio waves to the waiter, letting him know to get another.
Agatha could feel her heart pounding in her chest, threats of leaks in her pheromones caused her to tighten up on her magic as she let out a shaky breath. Rio nods a few times.
”Okay, Agatha. I want to start with the fact that you aren’t going to be fired and no one is thinking you can’t handle your job. I can’t tell you the exact reasons that I’m here because of HR regulations, but I can tell you that it has very little to do with you.” Rio attempts to reassure her. “I just don’t want me being here to cause you issues. I want to be able to work together. I do my part, and you do yours.” Inhaling through her teeth then taking a short sip of her drink, enjoying the bite of the sour. Rio puckers her lips this time, getting an extra taste that does the name of the drink justice.
Agatha just watches, her eyes glued to the way Rio moves her hands. How she moves her tongue over her teeth, the way her lips move when she speaks. Agatha wonders what those lips might look like around-. No. Stop those thoughts. She realizes where her mind was going and she really couldn’t risk this woman finding out her secret. She was already suspicious of how Rio wanted to get closer. “Very little to do with me. It’s my damn department you’re taking over.” Another drink was put in front of her and Agatha wasted no time in grabbing it and downing it quickly. The glass was half empty when it made its way back to the table.
Rio rolls her eyes at the aggression Agatha was putting off, the scent nearly choking her until she picks up on something else. The raven-haired woman’s eyes snap wide when she picks up the scent of an omega in need. She does her best not to make much more of a deal about it, brown eyes scan the room, looking to see if anyone else is bothered by it. No one. Not a single person seems to be picking up these scents that Agatha is putting off. I see, Rio thinks before returning her face to a neutral one and looking back to the woman across from her.
”I’m not taking your department. I’m trying to help you weed out the bad. Pluck the weeds. Then let you do your thing once I feel your workspace is rid of the bugs inside of it.” Rio admits, likely breaking some kind of rules. The look on Agatha’s face tells her that she won't have to worry about this woman ratting her out.
That look was one of realization through the haze of a buzz. “I see.” The way Rio was looking at her right now was making her feel a little like she was being pursued but before she could ask about the look, the waiter came back. “Have we figured out what we want to eat yet?” Oh yeah, they were here to eat. Agatha actually looks up at the waiter for a moment, then down at the menu.
”Just a broccoli and cheese soup.” Offering the food menu to the man as Rio orders “Loaded baked potato soup.” Her eyes never left Agatha. It was difficult for Rio to keep herself under control when she picked up the same scent she had in the coffee shop, but they were in public and she didn’t want to cause a scene. Mostly, she didn’t want to have to walk out of this place with a boner poking at the front of her pants.
“Listen. Let’s just eat some soup, chat a little, then we can head back to the office with a better outlook on things.” Rio tries to convince Agatha, but she seems unmoved on a few things. “I don’t trust everything you’re saying. You don’t smell like you’re lying, but I don’t know you.” This causes Rio to chuckle, but she simply takes a sip of her drink and nods.
”Alright, alright. Just try to enjoy the food and conversation then. It’s not like I’m going to be firing you over drinks and soup.” The light comment had Agatha giving off a more relaxed scent, but the undertone of discomfort was still there.
”Fine, but don’t expect me to go out to lunch with you again. This was a one-time thing.” Downing the rest of her drink, the waiter already arrived to give her another and take her empty cups.
Chapter 4: Drunken Touch
Summary:
Okay.... I finally added some spice. I hope you enjoy it!!
Chapter Text
“Come on, girl. Let’s get you inside the car.” Rio was speaking to Agatha like a scared horse she was trying to get into the back of a trailer. Agatha could barely see straight, let alone walk straight, so here she was with her arm slung over Rio’s shoulder and Rio’s arm around her waist.
“I don’t need you to treat me like a child. I’m perfectly-” pushing off of Rio only to stumble to the side, trip over herself, and tumbles into the side of Rio’s SUV. “Fuck.” she grunts out, sliding down the side of the passenger door until Rio grabs her by under her arms and lifts the woman back up.
In that moment of drunken weakness, Agatha leaned forward and pressed her nose against the scent gland on Rio’s neck. The Alpha was just about to pull away when she felt a hot tongue move across her gland, causing an uncontrollable shiver. Rio’s pulse picks up and heat starts building between her legs as a quiet gasp is pulled from her lips.
“You smell good.” Chuckling as she leaned back against the SUV to get a better look at Rio and wasn’t disappointed when she saw the lightest of blushes on the other woman’s face. Agatha’s smile grows wider. “You’ve been so suave until just now. You look cute with a blush.” The very drunk witch moving to touch Rio’s face. Just before making contact, Rio grabs Agatha by the wrist and presses her body tight against Agatha’s.
Rio lets out a low growl, the hand holding Agatha’s wrist pins it against the vehicle, and the other moves behind the slightly shorter woman to cradle her lower back. Agatha pushes against the taller woman’s body, happy to be held like this, and moans when she feels signs of arousal at the front of Rio’s suit pants as she gives her a quick squeeze. The green witch’s teeth are bared when she takes a step back, her head swimming with Agatha’s scent. This scent was so… sweet… like an omega’s scent. No, the booze has confused her a bit.
“This is wildly inappropriate for us to be doing and I think it’s better for you to head home for the rest of the day rather than go back to the office.” Rio was trying to keep a professional look about herself, but she could feel the shift at the front of her pants. “Let’s get you in the car and get you home. Can you tell me your address?” Moving to open the car door, only for Agatha to slam it shut again.
Rio looks up to realize that Agatha is no longer the happy drunk, she is upset. “What do you mean wildly inappropriate? You used your scent on me! That’s the second time now that you’ve purposely put your scent gland in front of me like you were trying to lure me in. Did you really think I didn’t notice what you were doing?” Calling Rio out for tempting her.
She could tell by the way Rio looked down that she wasn’t wrong. “It’s normally something I can control.” placing a hand over her own gland, feeling the oil that had built up there. Before making another mistake, she simply rubs the oil off on her pants and goes to open the car door again… Agatha slams it shut once more.
She can see the frustration on Rio’s face at what she was doing, but after the torment she had been going through she was ready to keep this up all night. “So you’re just going around scenting people in public without even realizing it, and you get upset when someone actually reciprocates it?” scoffing to punctuate her sentence. “I might be an Alpha, but when someone is showing interest I reciprocate.” looking Rio up and down “If interested.”
A shake of Rio’s head “I understand. I’ll do better to keep that under control. This doesn’t normally happen so I might be suffering from an illness. I’ll have it checked out tomorrow.” assuring her new associate that she wouldn’t be assaulting her with her scent again. Agatha points at hearing this, turning to open her own door. Fumbling with it for a moment before yanking it open. “Too bad. You’re kinda cute.” her drunkenness removing her filter.
Rio can’t help but smirk as Agatha climbs into the SUV. The green witch made sure everything was in the vehicle before shutting the door. A clear view of Agatha’s face scrunched up in a sneer as she says “I can do it myself.” Although her voice was muffled, Rio still found it entertaining.
Once in the driver’s seat, Rio presses a few buttons on the touch screen and a map is pulled up. “What’s your address?” pushing search to ready for the address. Agatha was sitting with her legs spread wide, one foot on the cupholder on the door, bringing her knee up a bit higher.
“I bet you’d like to know” chuckling to herself as she reached over to push the address in herself. She has to backspace a few times before getting it correct, but eventually, she hits go. The navigation takes them through a trip that would take ten minutes. “Thank you. Do you need anything before getting to your house?” Rio asks, figuring if they were already out, why not?
Agatha shakes her head “No, but I have to call the nanny.” The word nanny causes curiosity to rise within the driver as the drunk woman pulls her phone out to make a call. Rio stays quiet, listening to the way Agatha is breathing a little heavier. This was just supposed to be a trip to get to know the woman, now she’s not only harassed her new associate, she has physically assaulted her.
Agatha murmurs into the phone as she speaks with her slurred words “Yeah, I’m coming home a little early. Work lunch went a little too well so I’m being sent home.” The older woman looked over at Rio, rolling her eyes then looking back outside. “Just let him know I’m on the way home. I’ll still pay you for the full day.” A few more ‘mhms’ before Agatha ends the calls.
Silence sat through the car for less than a minute before Agatha spoke up.
“I’m shocked you don’t want to know who the other parent of my child is,” Agatha says in a snarky tone. The green witch shakes her head, continuing to drive down the road “I think we’ve crossed enough boundaries for the day. I’d rather just get you home and try again tomorrow.” she still couldn’t get the stiffy in her pants to go down, her face slightly flushed. Agatha gives her a wide smile “I could help you take care of that.” pointing down at the obvious tent.
“As I said, perhaps we should just get you home and try again tomorrow.” her face looked laser-focused on the road, but the only thing running around her mind was the thought of Agatha’s lips around her. She was making it worse on herself. A few breaths in and out and Rio felt she was better able to control herself. “I would like to get to know you as a person before any thoughts of physical interaction. I’d also not have to do a bunch of HR paperwork on my first day in the new office.” looking over at Agatha for a moment.
“Do you think you can handle that?” Rio asks, a little bit of a tease in there. An attempt to lighten the mood.
“As if I’m the one that needs to learn how to handle things.” her slurred speech came out in a scoff.
—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They were now driving down Agatha’s street, the passenger fixing her shirt and pants to look a bit more put together. Rio was thankful that the annoyance between her legs had gone down and she wouldn’t have to say goodbye with a boner. As they pull up the street, Rio can see a child playing in the front yard ahead of them. As if on queue, Agatha points to that exact yard “That one. Just pull into the driveway.” her tone was different from before. There was no hostility in it like there normally was, instead, she seemed relaxed.
This was the first time Rio was seeing Agatha relaxed.
That’s when they pull into the driveway and Agatha has a genuine smile on her face. Rio parks and without even waiting to say goodbye, the passenger makes her way out of the vehicle. Agatha rushes to the boy who had been playing, her arms wrapping around him in a big hug.
“Momma!” he yells out happily as he’s spun around in her arms.
“My Nicky!!!” her face was one of pure joy. Rio was in shock as she looked through the open passenger side door at how Agatha had lit up when she picked up the boy whom Rio figured was her son. The spinning finally stops when Agatha tumbles down onto the healthy, green grass. The boy and his mother laugh together until the boy looks up at Rio. The woman’s heart stopped in her chest. She couldn’t tell if her air was stuck in her lungs or had suddenly evacuated them.
Watching the way the two were together awoke something in Rio that she hadn’t realized was there. She was pulled out of her minor panic when the boy, Nicky, spoke to her. “Hey, who are you?” Rio clears her throat and smiles at the boy “My name is Rio! I’m your mom’s friend.” trying to cover her internal panic with enthusiasm. Agatha didn’t go back to her state before, but her smile of excitement did turn to one of thanks at Rio.
Nicky looks to his mom “You have a friend? I thought we were a coven two!” he demands answers from his mother as he crosses his arms over his chest. Rio lets out a chuckle “Don’t worry, I won’t be too much of a bother and won't be interrupting any coven time.” giving him a wave. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Agatha. It was good having lunch with you.” Rio’s fingers wave in a smooth motion at the woman in the grass, the babysitter closing the passenger side door. The green witch backs out of the driveway slowly, then heads back in the direction of the office.
Agatha keeps her soft smile as she watches the way her new co-manager looks at her and her son, then the way she leaves and chuckles as she turns back to Nicky, pressing her nose to the top of his head as she hugs him. “Come on, let’s go inside. I think I’d like to lay down for a little bit.” pinching Nicholas's sides to tickle him. The boy jumps up in a fit of laughter and runs to the house.
“No momma! Don’t tickle me!” The boy of, what looked to be, six years laughs out. Leaving his mother behind in the grass.
Agatha leans back and sighs. Giving herself a moment to process what had happened in the day. “Fuck.” she murmurs to herself as the babysitter offers to help her up. She was too busy thinking about what she had just done. What kind of acts she had just committed, and just how fucked she was for the next day.
She had not only gotten terribly wet from the little bit of action that had gone on in the parking garage, but she had gotten wet because of her new boss. Her new fucking boss. She had given up so much just to get to where she was now and she almost ruined it because her new boss was really hot.
Looking down at her palm, she remembers the way the woman’s shaft felt in her hand. While it wasn’t the largest she had felt, it was still a good size. Rio must have been a hell of an Alpha if she was ready that fast. Agatha shakes her head, takes the babysitter's hand, and heads inside with her son.
—---------------------------------------------------------
On the drive back to the office Rio has to stop. She can’t stop the aching feeling she was getting after seeing Agatha’s son. That boy had looked right at her with bright brown eyes as if he were staring into her very soul. Why did she feel like this? Did Rio regret touching Agatha the way she had without meeting her son? It wasn’t like this was something serious, it was just drunken touches… well… drunk on Agatha’s side.
There was something so familiar about the boy like she had seen his face before, but she couldn’t figure it out. Maybe she had met him in a past life.
Rio takes a few breaths, slowly in and out, then turns the car back on and takes off towards the office. Hopefully, the two could talk tomorrow and work things out.
Chapter Text
Agatha had awoken with a hangover and flashes of Rio pressed tightly against her.
“Fucking, Gods damn it, what the fuck.” the string of curses leave her lips as she kicks her blankets off. She had apparently chosen to sleep on the sofa instead of her nice, big bed.
“No cursing, Momma.” Nicholas could be heard from the kitchen.
“Good morning, Ms. Harkness” The babysitter was also in the kitchen, the smell of bacon filling the house. “Can I get you anything to eat before you head off to work?” she asks Agatha as she moves around the living room.
“Shit, I’m going to be so late,” she murmurs to herself, ignoring the babysitter. Agatha was then darting across the room to grab her keys, pulling off her shirt as she rushed to the shirt she noticed lying across an ironing board. It looked like it had just been ironed, perfectly pressed, the dark purple of the shirt shining. “I’m going to have to explain this, and so much more.” putting the shirt on at the same time she’s trying to put on her shoes. “Why are these so hard to put on!” she yells before stumbling to the kitchen. Agatha presses a quick kiss to Nicky’s hair, “Momma loves you” then grabs some of the bacon off of his plate “And she thanks you.” putting the bacon in her mouth as she runs out the door.
Today wasn’t the day to walk to work or stop for coffee, she had to get to work and get there before anyone noticed she was late. At each stoplight and possible traffic, Agatha fixes her hair to the best of her ability, landing on a messy bun. “Fuck it!” she says in frustration.
She pulls haphazardly into the parking garage, almost hitting a support beam, and leaves the little Civic parked crooked and unlocked. Agatha curses to herself as she taps her foot in the elevator. Once the door is open, Agatha’s eyes search the office next to hers. Alive was the only one in there, moving a few pots around and placing different cleaning supplies for Rio to choose from.
“At least I got a little lucky…” slowing her pace to walk the rest of the way to her office.
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“There doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with you, Ms.Vidal. You’re putting off a little more pheromones but that’s normal when put into new spaces for alpha’s like you. You’re simply marking your area, don’t think too much of it.” Rio was putting her shirt back on after her short examination of scent glands, listening to what the doctor had to say. She looks back at the man, a little shocked.
“I’ve never had issues controlling my scent. I’ve never been pushed to a point of wanting to breed another Alpha, or getting flustered that I can smell an omega on them.” Rio pulls up her pants and buttons them closed, tucking her black shirt into her dark green pants.
The doctor shakes his head as he looks back up at her “That’s also quite common. You’re nearing your rut, correct? Your body is trying to tell you it’s time to create children and seeing that another alpha is doing it while you aren’t is likely making you feel a heightened aggression towards them.” Looking back down at her chart “That would also explain the heightened testosterone levels. I can prescribe you blockers or you can find a rut partner for the time being.” he states while writing up the prescription before she even answers.
“No, I’m fine. I’ll find a rut partner.” Thinking back to her reaction to Nicky. “Do you think that might be the reason that I felt strange when I recently met a child?” The doctor looks up and tilts his head to the side “I’m not sure what you mean. Maybe explain it a little better?” he questions, wondering if maybe there was something wrong with Rio.
“The alpha that I had felt frustrated around has a son. I saw him as I was dropping her off and I felt something like,” pausing her description as she tries to think of the word she wanted to use. “A pull.” the doctor’s brows raise but lower. “I see, perhaps your body is simply reacting because of your rut.” finished out the prescription, tearing it off, and offering it to Rio. “Just in case you can’t find anyone. We can’t have an Alpha like you acting a fool out there.” the doctor says with a chuckle then leaves the room as Rio puts her shoes on.
This couldn’t be right, there had to be something else to this. There was no reason for her to be acting the way she was, especially when she was trying to change the workplace she was sent to help. Here she was, getting checked out because she couldn’t stop thinking about her co-worker groping her prick.
A shake of Rio’s head before she leaves the office provides her insurance at the front desk, and leaves to head to work. On the way there, she notices someone selling flowers on the side of the road. Rio rolls the window down “How much?” she asks the man and he offers her a bundle of 12 pink carnations. “Twenty,” he says shortly, looking elsewhere in case there was someone else at the stop who might be interested. Rio hands him the bill and takes the flowers. “Thank you” and drives off.
She takes a moment to look at the flowers once she’s parked and plants a hand on her forehead “This is shit.” grabbing them and heading inside.
As she enters the floor she works on, she notices Agatha in her office.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Agatha had been wondering where Rio was all day. Was she reporting her for what happened last night? It was kind of Agatha’s fault, but there was no way she could deny what had happened between the two. Rio was able to scent her omega and no matter how hard Agatha tried to hide or mask it, her power wasn’t strong enough. What was Rio that she was somehow able to sense Agatha with how well practiced she was in hiding her scent? How was it possible that Rio had such an effect on her?
It doesn’t matter, as she looks around she sees the different kinds of plants that Alice had brought for Rio. Agatha wasn’t exactly the green thumb kind of gal, but she did enough being around them. Taking a few steps further in, she pinches the leaf of a snake plant.
“Those are good for purifying the air in a room, most often found in bedrooms and smaller rooms in homes.” Rio’s voice startles Agatha, accidentally breaking the top off of one of the leaves of the plant. Rio leans over to see the broken tip and chuckles “And now that leaf will never grow again.” clicking her tongue at the woman who had broken it.
Agatha looks back at the plant, then to Rio “Are you serious??” Rio chuffs and shakes her head, stepping closer to the plant in question “No, it’s an old wives myth about the plant to try and get husbands and children to leave them alone.” Rio ghosts a finger up the snake plant leaf and as if it were told to, the tip of the plant re-grows as if nothing happened.
Agatha looked at the plant, then Rio once more “So you’re a green witch.” noticing the flowers she had in her hand finally. “And you have flowers.” The green witch smirks and lifts the flowers for Agatha to see “Surprise, m’lady”. The flowers bloom just a little more as Rio adds a magic touch to them. Agatha’s face is red, putting out that omega scent that says loud and clear that she’s flattered.
Rio is confused by what she’s seeing and smelling. The scent hitting her and bringing out a rumble in the green witch’s chest. “And I’m more like…. THE green witch.” Agatha takes the flowers and laughs “A little cocky aren’t you?” but something sparks in her memory as Rio is walking away. “You’re not the first one to say that to me. You green witches are all the same, aren’t you?” The last one she had met was at a bar in the middle of nowhere and the night ended with them in a cheap, trashing motel.
“That’s stereotyping, you make such rude comments to smell as flattered as you do.” she comments offhandedly as if it wasn’t that important, but Agatha moves to the other side of the room, closing the door. “What are you talking about?” the question confused Rio, sucking a breath in through her teeth “I don’t know, you’re putting off the scent that you’re flattered.” she answers before asking her own question “Why do you smell like an omega sometimes?” tilting her head to the side. “You keep on putting off omega scents, but claim to be an Alpha. What are you hiding?” even though at this point it felt all too obvious.
Agatha laughs out, turning to face the other woman in the room “How can you even tell?! I mask my scents to prevent shit like what happened yesterday! I use artificial pheromones to throw people off.” she was shouting now and glad the offices were soundproof… ish. Rio shakes her head at Agatha, watching her lose her temper “I’m only going to ask you to calm down once.” her voice was commanding and Agatha couldn’t help but obey. The scent rolling off of Rio was one of an annoyed Alpha. It burns the inside of Agatha’s nose as she breathes it in, making her feel like she was breathing in a dragon’s smoke.
“You’ve been nothing but inappropriate since the moment I arrived at this office. What have I done to deserve this? What is it that has bothered you so much about me that you had to drink yourself to the point of losing motor functions yesterday?” the more Rio spoke the more annoyed she was getting. It got to the point where she wasn’t able to control her pheromones, letting them fall from her like a cloud of toxins.
Agatha was having a hard time breathing with how much of Rio was in the air, she couldn’t stop herself from leaning over. Her head was getting fuzzy and her omega whining in the back of her mind. “Stop… please” she murmurs out between choked breaths, she could feel Rio’s dominance wrapped around her neck as if it were her hands. Squeezing around her, forcing her to listen instead of speak.
“I have done nothing but be kind to you and no matter what I try you find a reason to be upset about it.” Rio snarls out, not paying attention to Agatha’s words, too wrapped up in her own ranting as she sees red. “Tell me what I have done to you!” she orders and Agatha’s knees hitting the ground into a submissive kneel, her head tilts back to expose her neck to Rio.
Rio stops, looking down at the way the woman in front of her was acting, immediately pulling back on her pheromones after realizing she had filled the room. “Agatha…” she whispers. Rio can tell she’s crossed a line and forcing Agatha to her knees but there was simply no going back now.
The way Agatha grits her teeth when she looks at Rio, tears gathering in her eyes as she speaks through grit teeth. “I told you not to use your pheromones on me ever again,” she grunts out as a tear rolls down her cheek. “You don’t know how hard I have worked to keep this from happening.” The room fills with Agatha’s sorrow. Her scent turns sour to Rio making her feel like she needed to vomit.
“I have spent years learning how to prevent anyone from being able to scent me and you ruined me in two days.” Once she was able to finally breathe and remove herself from the submissive stance she stood up on shaky legs. “I was aggressive towards you because I needed to keep my secret.” looking up into Rio’s eyes, something any Alpha would know is a challenge “I tried to get you to not use your scent because it causes a reaction that I can’t prevent.” Rio attempts to help Agatha stand only to have her hand slapped away.
“Your secret?” looking the woman up and down until a whiff of the scent she spoke of hits Rio. An omega in need. “You’re…” she whispers when Agatha puts her hand up in Rio’s face, trying to get her to stop talking.
“Yes, my secret is that I’m not an Alpha. Hell, I’m not even a beta.” her piercing blue eyes looking through Rio. “I’m an omega.”

Chapter Text
Rio just stands there now that Agatha has confirmed her suspicions. “You’re an omega,” she states, rather than asking—all the things she had noticed before and questioned now made so much sense. ”So you’re an omega, why would you hide that?” now confused by the reasoning behind this woman’s upset.
Agatha snarls at Rio, “Do you know how hard it is to get promotions as an omega? Do you not realize how hard it is to simply get a job in an office while being an omega?” Rio licks the inside of her cheek as Agatha speaks to her in such a tone. Now everything was starting to click for the green witch.
“You’re hiding who you are in order to get further in the company?” she almost couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “You can do that as an omega, what’s the point in going through all of this?” She was annoyed with how she was being spoken to, but she felt she needed to understand. Agatha shakes her head at Rio’s last question.
“Because Alpha’s like you would have stopped me from moving up. Just like how you’re here to show me how much better you are than I am.” leaning over and placing a hand on her knee, still weak from being forced into submission. “Because Alpha’s like you think it’s okay to just throw your pheromones around like they’re a tool, but if I were to do it I would be called a slut and looked down on.” spitting the words out at Rio like venom.
Her voice shakes as she speaks “And I would get the same reputation that all omegas of any station get. I would be known for sleeping my way to the top rather than the hard work and long nights I actually put in.” moving to one of the short bookshelves holding a few potted plants. A shaky hand is placed on the top of the shelf to help her the rest of the way up from such a violent demand from an Alpha. “Not to mention I’m a single omega mother” shaking her head as she thinks about how much people would pick on her Nicky.
“Alphas can use everything about themselves to get further while I have to fight my way up. Hiding who I am is the only way I can get to where I want without being accused of sucking off every Alpha on my way up.” She explains, her shoulders sagging in exhaustion as she places her hand over her face as if to hide away from Rio’s stare. Something was making it difficult to look Rio in the face right now and she could only assume it was because she had been exposed as an omega, and how dare an omega look an Alpha in the face.
“I understand what you’re saying.” The words coming from the green witch’s lips cause Agatha to jerk her head up to look at the woman speaking. “I understand the need to get things done on your own, not wanting to lean on anyone else.” her brown eyes look over the woman in front of her. “But you don’t have to do this alone. I’m here to make sure this place is treating everyone fairly, that includes omegas.” Trying to assure the woman. Rio moves to where the flowers she brought in had been left on the floor and picks them up. A little flourish of magic brings them back to the lively state rather than the half-crushed one they were currently in.
“I don’t expect things to change overnight, but I want to make sure you feel safe-” Agatha cuts Rio off.
“Do you even know what you’re expecting? You’re trying to change the entire makeup of this society.” shaking her head “No one cares about what happens to an omega as long as they’re popping out babies.” finally stands up straight as she looks down at the flowers. “And you pretending to care isn’t helping any.” pointing to the flowers that Rio had gotten her. “You can’t act like you care by bringing flowers, then use your pheromones to force submission out of me. You’re a hypocrite.”
Rio places the flowers on her desk, leaning her butt against it as she crosses her arms over her chest. Realization blooms through the green witch’s chest. “You’re right.” Rio’s admission has Agatha’s face contorting in confusion before she asks “What do you mean I’m right?” taking a step closer to her, but not close enough to be able to smell one another.
“I mean you’re right. I started all of this because you seemed tense and I was trying to manipulate you into feeling relaxed around me in the elevator. Even before then, in the coffee shop. I saw you and thought you were attractive so I sent out a little flirtation your way. I didn’t know you worked here though.” smacking her lips before sucking in a deep breath. “And when the pheromones in the elevator didn’t work I thought a lunch to get to know one another would help.” A shake of her head as her voice lowers “I didn’t expect you to get wasted, I was trying to help make you feel comfortable with a few drinks. Maybe bring down a few walls.” her brows raise when she remembers the rest of the day.
Agatha scoffs at Rio, leaning her weight against one leg for a moment, then shifting it to the other. “I wasn’t expecting to get that drunk either. I was hoping I could just get the lunch over with and leave.” her eyes scan over Rio as she stands there, trying to think of what to say. Her eyes linger at the front of the woman’s pants, then keep traveling up to her chest which was now perked up by the arms crossed under them. She could see the cleavage perfectly through the unbuttoned parts of the white top Rio wore. “I’m sorry.” finally looking up to Rio’s bright brown eyes. She says her apology like it was difficult to get out, her voice cracking through it.
“I have been tense about you being here for a while now. The moment I was told that someone would be brought in I knew my career was on the line. I will admit that I did some things I’m not proud of to secure my position.” her eyes finally move away from Rio to look out the window leading outside.
“I don’t want to lose everything I’ve worked so hard for just because there are people here that think I’m not doing well enough. I'm doing everything I can without manipulating others with scent and people finding out about my being an omega will only make things worse.” Rio raises a hand at Agatha, trying to get her to stop rambling. Agatha’s blue eyes look over the hand, searching over the thin fingers that extend from the soft-looking palm.
“I wasn’t sent here because of you. I was sent here because there have been complaints from customers that this branch isn’t the most professional.” relaxing her arms enough to place one hand on the desk behind her to lean back, and then the other hand is placed in her front pocket. This puts Rio in a position where her pelvis is slightly jutted out taking a cocky stance. “Customers are sending reports into headquarters about sales making passes at them and management encouraging this with some kind of point system.”
Agatha’s eyes widen at the reason Rio was really here “How did I not know this was happening?”
Rio pulls her hand out of her pocket and points two fingers at Agatha lazily “Because you’ve been too focused on yourself and keeping your secrets hidden away. If you had just opened your office door and listened to the conversations happening around you, you’d hear them.” tilting her head against the shoulder of the arm she was leaning on.
“Let’s start this over, shall we?” her pointed fingers turned into an outstretched hand, palm open and ready to be taken. “I am Rio Vidal, I’m here to help this office, not get people who don’t deserve it fired. I want to create a healthy work environment and stop the unethical and inappropriate activities that have been happening.” sucking in a breath between her teeth “Even if I have now taken part in an inappropriate activity I hope you’ll forgive me for.” Agatha looks at the hand outstretched to her and closes the space between them just enough to shake Rio’s hand.
She can’t keep her eyes from looking at the slight bulge at the front of Rio’s pants but does snap her vibrant blue eyes back up once she realizes what she’s looking at. Rio could tell what Agatha was being distracted by, so leans forward when their hands came together into a full shake. “Agatha Harkness. Secret omega manager of this office. I appreciate you being here to help me keep this place under control. Just know that I could have handled this.” she keeps the shake going for just a few more moments before dropping Rio’s hand “And I have questions for you.”
Rio chuckles as she stands up straight from her lean, putting herself just a little closer to Agatha. “And I have questions for you. What is it that you’d like to do about it since my lunch idea seems to have just caused more issues.” Thinking that if she lets Agatha take control of the situation they are put in she might feel more comfortable. Knowing she was an omega was already helping her piece together the reasonings behind some of Agatha’s actions. It was like she was a detective or something in a past life.
“I’d like to try a casual dinner at my house,” she states confidently, knowing that if she were in her own home she’d be able to better control herself. Or so she thinks. “But my son will be there, my nanny can’t work nights.” oh yeah, she’ll be able to control herself if Nicky is there. He was her whole reason for living.
Hearing this, Rio freezes, “A meal at your place with your son. Do you not feel like that’s a little personal?” half of her wanted to have this meal so she could better get to know Agatha, maybe create a relationship that can aid them both in this workplace. A friendship. Then there was the part of Rio that didn’t want to see the boy again. She was already struggling with her rut being so close, she didn’t know if seeing the boy would make it worse.
“I don’t see why he shouldn’t be there, it’s his home.” trying to play it off cool while there is a storm brewing inside of her, stirring her up and bringing out a feeling she hasn’t felt in a very long time. Nervous.
“Would you like me to bring anything?” Rio asks, taking a deep breath to try and clear the breathless feeling she kept getting thinking about eating dinner at a table with Agatha and her son. She couldn’t explain what this feeling was, but she knew she needed to at least make a good impression if she were to do this.
“Just a bottle of wine. Nothing fancy, just something we can sip on while talking once I put my boy to bed. Does tonight sound good? I can have something simple made up, does spaghetti sound good?” proving that she was going to be controlling every part of the night, even the timing of certain conversations.
“Our night will end before ten and we will not be talking about things in front of my son that aren’t fit for his ears.” Agatha continues as Rio’s face breaks out into a smirk. “And if you try to stay longer, I will… Why are you smiling like that?” Agatha finally realizes that Rio is staring at her with that stupidly charming look on her face.
“It’s fun, watching you plan out an entire night just because I’m coming over for dinner. I don’t think I’ve ever had someone plan so quickly to have me over as a guest. You’re making me feel special.” Rio says as she offers the flowers to the woman once more. Agatha snatches them out of Rio’s hand and rolls her eyes “You’re insufferable.”
“No, I’m charming, and you like it,” Rio states as her smirk turns into a wolfish grin. She couldn’t explain why she was putting on more charm than she had been before, but something about Agatha planning their dinner tonight caused a reaction within the Alpha. She felt like she needed to represent herself in the best light like she were some young buck looking to win the heart of the one her parents were trying to set her up with.
“Just be there on time,” she says as she walks towards Rio as if she were planning on mowing her own. Rio takes a single step back, bumping into her desk as Agatha presses herself against the slightly taller woman, reaches behind her to grab a sticky note and pen, then leans back off of her. “Here is my number, if you don’t remember the address from yesterday just send a text.” scribbling down her number quickly, then slaps it onto Rio’s chest. The Alpha can’t help but be amazing at this act Agatha puts on.
“You know, you could use those flowers as a centerpiece on your table if you’d like. I bet they’d look lovely.” Rio calls out after Agatha, the purple witch already halfway out of the office when she calls back. “Shutting up is lovely too.” shutting the door behind her.
The smile on Rio’s face never falters as she moves behind her desk. This was twice now that Agatha had been pressed so tightly against her. She knew this wasn’t the proper or appropriate time to be thinking about these things, but her mind wouldn’t move on to anything else. All she could think about for the rest of the day was how that omega pressed so tightly to her chest, unafraid of what Rio might do to her.
The situation Rio had gotten herself into was one she wasn’t proud of, to say the least. She had been sent there to fix things like this and yet here she was, acting like a giddy child awaiting the date they were promised that night. While it wasn’t an official date, it was something that could help them get closer, no? The only thing still making the green witch nervous was the boy.
What if the boy's father were to hear of her coming and having dinner with their offspring? Would Rio have to explain that it’s just work-related? That wasn’t fully true for the Alpha, she had found someone she felt would make a good coupling for her. Maybe she could birth her a son like Nicky.
Rio looks up at the ceiling as she thinks about what this dinner could lead to. What kind of questions would Agatha have and if she was going to be telling the witch the truth? A knock on the door is heard and Rio simply says “Come in.” checking herself by brushing a hand down her entire front to make sure she is presentable.
“Ms. Vidal, you have a call on line two.” she didn’t recognize the voice, but she knew it wasn’t Alice or Agatha, so she peeked over to see a lovely-looking woman in a pink dress in her doorway.
“Send them through, also… what’s your name?” she asks, wanting to get to know at least some of the associates in the building before firing half of them.
“Jennifer Kale, but you can call me Jen,” she says with a smoother-sounding voice than she had heard from others in the office.
“Thank you, Jen. If you could bring me water as well, that would be wonderful.” A nod from Jen can be seen as she leaves the room, closing the door again.
Rio leans her head back against the chair’s headrest, placing her hand on the palleted plants just behind her and sighing. The touch she places on the soft green leaves starts to glow, Rio’s stress about tonight leaving her as the plants on her wall stretch further around her and the wall they are sitting against.
The phone rings and Rio answers with a sultry “Well, hello there.”

Hello!! I thought I'd give a treat by posting a day early!
Chapter Text
Rio had gone home right after work to freshen up and grab a bottle of wine she had stashed away. After her phone call with an old friend, she felt it was good to take care of a few things before heading over to Agatha’s place. One of those things had been grabbing one of the plants she had recently propagated that was now sitting in her passenger seat. Rio looks over at the plant one last time before picking it up “Wish me luck.” speaking to it as if it were capable of speaking back.
Rio exits her SUV with a bottle of wine in one hand and the potted plant in the other, her heart pounding in her chest as she makes her way to the front door. Leaning over to press the doorbell with her elbow but is stopped by the front door opening. There stands Agatha, hair up in a messy bun in her hair and an apron that says ‘Kiss the Cook’. Rio can't help the chuckle that slips from her lips even with how ridiculous she looks, leaning over with her hands full of a potted plant and bottled wine, she knew this was likely a little embarrassing for Agatha.
“Shut up and come inside.” not bothering to stay and hold the door open for her guest as she snatches the bottle of wine from Rio’s hand then turns and heads back inside. Rio looks through the ajar door to see the entrance of the house before stepping inside. “Thank you for inviting me in, chef.” setting the plant down on the entrance table to the left of her and closing the front door behind her.
“Cute.” Agatha can be heard saying followed by the sound of a cork leaving a bottle, the cook wasting no time in cracking open the bottle Rio had brought. “Oh, healthy pour,” she says to herself as Rio looks around the front room and sees that the home has an entertainment room just to the right of the entranceway that dips down into a carpeted section. A decently sized television and a few game systems surrounding it catch Rio’s eye, looking for a possible stack up of games available.
“Are you going to stand in the hall the entire time or come help me set the table?” Agatha’s voice breaking Rio’s exploring gaze has her moving to follow in the direction said voice was coming from. She does sneak a few looks around to find some toys lying around on the floor and a full bookshelf before stepping into the kitchen. “What kind of guest would I be if I wasn’t willing to help?” Looking at the small circular table in the dining room connected to the kitchen.
“Where do you keep your plates?” Rio asks while opening a few cabinets in search, finding only cups and bowls. Agatha looks back from the stove where she was cooking up the meat for the spaghetti. “One more cabinet over. Place two larger plates and one small, Nicky doesn’t eat much. Cups are in the cabinet in front of you and silverware is,” using her spatula to point at the drawer directly to her right. “Here.” then goes back to stirring and flipping the meat around.
“On it, is there anything else I can do for you?” a hint of playfulness in her tone as she leans towards Agatha, taking a step closer to stand in front of the plates cabinet and looking inside. Agatha has to think past the tone Rio has for her in her question and chooses to play things safe. “No, just set the table.” looking back at the green witch for a moment, watching her grab two larger plates and one smaller causing her heart to pound in her chest. Agatha shakes her head and turns back to her cooking, not understanding why Rio helping her was causing such a reaction from her.
She knew the reasoning but wasn’t about to admit that she enjoyed having Rio walking around her kitchen and setting her table for them and her son. Agatha’s brows furrow at this before she pops open the sauce jar and pours it into the pan with the meat she had been cooking. Plates being set at the table can be heard as Rio walks around the small table, now accompanied by light thumping coming from down the hall to the right of the dining room area.
“Moooooooommmaaaaaaa!” Nicky yells out as he runs towards Agatha with something supped between his hands, clearly intending on showing something to his mother. Rio looks down at the young boy, turning in his direction with one of the plates still in her hand. It was him, the boy she had seen in the front yard just yesterday but this time he was staring directly at her with bright brown eyes and a mystery held between his small hands.
“Oh, you’re the lady from yesterday. Hello, my name is Nicholas Scratch,” he states proudly. He then turns away to continue his journey to his mother, the sound of his bare feet hitting the kitchen floor in little slaps. Agatha watches him introduce himself to Rio, her mouth slightly agape in shock as she looks between the two. Her son standing in front of her breaks her shock so she can look down at him with the softest of smiles. “Hello, my sweet boy. What have you for your momma today?”
Nicky smiles big at his mom when she asks him this simple question, holding up his hands to show her that he had found a new stone that day. “It’s turquoise! Jen said it has healing qualities and helps with communication.” Rio smirks at his description of the stone's magical qualities and murmurs “That could be useful for tonight.” Agatha hears this and looks up to shake her head at Rio, but doesn’t speak on it as she looks back down to Nicky. “It does make sure to tell Jen that you appreciate her sharing her knowledge with you.” listening to the sauce boiling behind her in the pan as she runs her fingers through Nicholas’ hair.
“Go take your seat at the table, dinner is ready.” speaking softly to the boy like she was afraid he would break if she spoke too loud. The young boy turns on his toes and skips to the table, whistling as he does. A gentle smile pulls at Rio’s face when she whistles a part of the same little song Nicky was whistling. The boy smiles brightly at the green witch “You know my song!” Agatha looks between the two again as she starts putting food on everyone’s plates. The purple witch is confused, wondering how Rio would know that song unless…
“It looks like I do,” Rio replies, looking down at the boy as she answers, wondering how it was that he knew the random little song she made up when she was doing her side job. Agatha sits down at the table, one full wine glass in hand and a second one, empty. “I was planning on waiting to have more of this, but I feel it’s needed now.” sliding the bottle over to Rio inviting her to have a glass as well.
The green witch snickers at the way Agatha seemed desperate for some kind of release from the stressful situation she created herself. “I think I’ll wait until I’ve had the chance to taste this food, I’ve been thinking about it all day,” she says, knowing she was going to flatter Agatha. The redness in the omega’s cheeks proves that Rio was successful, the boy sitting across from Rio taking a bite far too large for his mouth, as little boys do. A satisfied sound hums from him as he looks at his mother, nodding his head in approval at her.
The redness in Agatha’s face starts to fade as she smiles at Nicky, his approval seems to be all she needs to pick up her own fork and start eating. “Thank you, sweet boy.” She looks at Rio and notices that she hasn’t started eating yet. “For being excited about it, you haven’t made any moves to actually try it,” she says, wanting to antagonize the woman next to her as if they were playing some kind of game between the two.
Rio grins at her co-worker, giving her a short nod as she takes a bite of her own. The spaghetti wasn’t anything special but it brought a warmth to Rio that she’s never felt before. Eating like this at a table with mother and son was like sitting at the stairs of your childhood home. There was no need to explain anything, you just felt like everything was going to be okay no matter the outcome.
The dinner guest was stuck chewing for a while as she thought to herself. Agatha’s brows furrow in concern at the lack of response from the other woman at the table. “Are you okay? You don’t have to eat it if it’s that bad.” a hint of offense in the cook's tone. Rio’s eyes meet Agatha’s and she can’t help but smile at the worry on the purple witch’s face. “It’s good, I was just savoring the taste,” she states after licking at the corner of her mouth to clean it of the red sauce.
Watching Rio’s tongue slip out of her mouth was enough to have Agatha’s face red again, a shallow gasp escaping her slightly ajar mouth. “Oh.” snapping out of Rio’s trance, “Good, because I wasn’t gonna be making anything else.” Her terrible attempt at brushing off the fact that her dinner guest was creating frustration within her causes Rio to chuff before taking another bite of her food.
The three continue eating together, silently chewing and slurping away at the food until Nicky breaks the silence. “Do you like flowers?” the young boy asks in a curious tone as if this were the best way to break the silence happening between the others sitting with him. The green witch perks up with a tilt of her head “Yes, I love flowers. I love all plants, actually.” answering the boy’s question with a gentle grin pulling across her lips.
“I like plants too, momma says I have the makings of a green witch.” Nicky states while turning to look at Agatha “And that I have to keep practicing.” The boy’s excitement about magic was visible as his big smile lit up the room like the rays coming off of the skyline at sunset.
Rio leans forward, making a show of dabbing at the small bits of food at the corner of her mouth. “A green witch you say? And you want more practice with it?” Rio now takes her turn looking to Agatha, the purple witch rolling her eyes at Rio as if giving passive-aggressive permission to the other witch at the table to speak more on the matter of magic.
“Did your momma tell you that I’m a green witch?” she asks. The boy's eyes grew wide in amazement like he had been speaking to his idol without realizing it. He looks to Agatha, who is now cleaning off the plates from the table, and she nods a few times as she gathers dishes. Nicky looks back at Rio and puts his hand up, palm facing her. “Wait, stay there,” he orders the green witch, her brows raise, but she does as he asks.
A few moments pass in silence for the two in the kitchen, Rio was going to ask Agatha if she needed help but wasn’t sure the wrath that would come from the boy that had been spawned from the shockingly aggressive Omega that was acting like a docile housewife in the kitchen now.
Agatha, on the other hand, was reeling. She wasn’t sure what to think of the fact that Rio knew the song that Nicky had been humming earlier. That was a song Agatha had taught him, giving it to him like a birthright after all, it was the only thing Agatha had left of Nicky’s father. Her head can’t be cleared of the fog trapped inside as she wonders if these terrible circumstances have brought in a familiar person to be her new boss.
“I’m back!” Nicky announces as if he were the star of the show in this house, which often he was treated as such by Agatha. In his hands, he holds a small pot, but growing from it are tall Ghost Orchids. “Look, momma got them for me from a trip and said if I could keep them alive through the winter she would build me a greenhouse in the backyard.”
Rio looks back at Agatha, the spirit witch scrubbing at a pot, seemingly in her own world, then looks to Nicky “That’s quite the task she’s given you. I believe you’ll be able to do it.” she says as she kneels to the floor, now eye level with the boy.
“You’ve done quite well already, it’s happy in your care.” moving her hand up to the bloom as if she were about to use magic to make sure it stay alive, but just touches the flower. “I’d have to say you’re doing a very good job, Nicholas.” moving her hand to place it on top of one of his. Green wisps dance around their joined hands as it was being held in place on the pot of the plant.
“Do you feel the warmth? The care in the magic?” Rio speaks softly to the boy she’s holding the potted flower with. Agatha turns to look over her shoulder at them. “This is the care and love we put into growing something that will never give us anything in return. This is why us green witches are so special. We take care of those that can never say thank you, never repay us, and never show their gratitude.” Nicky’s eyes follow the wisps of magic Rio is conjuring across his hands and arms.
“We care because we love to care.” the original green witch murmurs with a gentle smile at the boy. Her magic crawls its way up the flower's stem and caresses around the bloom, making it spread wider. Nicky’s mouth opens into a giant smile, hopping up and down a few times on his toes in excitement. “It likes it!” he murmurs as if he were afraid of speaking too loud. Agatha finally turns all the way around, but the look on her face isn’t one of joy like Rio’s and Nicky’s, it’s one of dread.
“Okay Nicky, it’s time for bed,” she says while clapping her hands to get the duo’s attention away from the flower. Rio lets go of the smaller hands in hers and stands up, brushing a hand across the front of her button-up to clear any wrinkles.
The boy can’t help by frown after finally getting to meet a green witch, but he dares not to disobey his momma. “Okayy.” looking up at Rio with a happy grin “Thank you for teaching me some.” Rio clicks her tongue and winks at the boy “If your momma is okay with it, I can come back and teach you some more if you’d like.” leaning over as if to whisper to him “But you have to make sure to be a very good boy and listen to whatever momma says.”
Excitement almost bubbles out of the boy as he speed walks in the direction of his room leaving the two adults in the house standing there in silence.

Chapter Text
Agatha pulls her son’s bedroom door closed as quietly as possible. She was thinking about how excited he had been to learn that the person she invited for dinner was a green witch. Her mind races at the possibility that her son might have met his father rather than just a random co-worker she brought home.
Using her hand to brush through slightly tangled hair as she tries to gather her thoughts. All these coincidental situations could just be that. There had to be a reason that all these things were lining up. The purple witch starts her journey back to the main part of the house, blue eyes searching the kitchen and living room at the front of the house until she spots Rio.
There she stood, fiddling with the plant she had brought as a gift, sipping on the half-full glass of wine in her hand. “Your boy will love this one, it’s fun to watch grow and fast at that,” Rio states before turning around with a knowing smile on her face.
”I’m sure he’ll figure it out. He has a natural talent for green magic.” Agatha states, a spark of pride in her tone as she walks towards the sofa facing a single seated chair. “Come and sit, you said you had questions. Now is your time to ask them.” her glass had been moved to the coffee table, courtesy of Rio, that sat between the chair and sofa. After a moment of looking at the drink, she takes hold of the stem and sits on the three-part sofa.
The eldest green witch in the house moves to the single chair across from where Agatha has chosen to take her seat. Humming in her throat like someone playing chess, feeling as though they’ve already won. “Straight to business, I like that about you, Agatha. You don’t bullshit like everyone else in that office and you don’t shy away.” her honey-brown eyes dripped up and down the woman seated across from her a few times while Agatha leans back, making herself comfortable before speaking. “I didn’t invite you here for an office review. You know my secret and I don’t want it getting out. I’m answering your questions in trade for you, keeping your mouth shut.”
Agatha brings the glass closer, her tongue snaking out to wet at her chapped lips before pressing the edge of her glass to them. She doesn’t shy away from the sips she’s taking, but she knows if she’s to keep this conversation in her control she needs to go slower than normal. “So start asking,” she states as the wine glass is placed on the coffee table in front of her.
She can see the gears turning in Rio’s head. Anxiety is eating at her very core as she waits, for what feels like years, for the new office manager to start speaking again.
“Why do you pretend to be an Alpha?” Finally, the eternity of silence ends but the need for truth begins. If there was one thing Agatha didn’t enjoy, it was giving straight answers.
”Don’t all alpha’s pretend at some point? Everyone pretends to be all big and mighty with their scents and-“The scent she was speaking on creeps into her nose, but only for a second. Bright blue eyes snap over to Rio as if she were trying to shoot lasers at the woman with her gaze alone. “Yes, that.” Rio’s expression was that of a fox watching a baby bird hobble its way across the preditor's path.
The purple witch shakes her head, trying to clear the scent out of it like it were rice being shaken from a shoe. “Don’t do that,” she demands.
”Then don’t dawdle. Answer my questions or expect me to stay here all night.” the threat from her boss sent a thrill through her she hadn’t been expecting. It was time to get this over with and there was only one way to do it.
“I pretend to be an Alpha because the one that impregnated me never helped me with Nicky. Probably doesn’t even know he’s of her seed. I tried to live my life as a single omega parent but every job I was offered was as a housekeeper making little more than change, a whore or” her brows crinkling together “A housewife in hopes that some Alpha would take pity on me and my boy.” Agatha can feel the tug at her chest, knowing that if Rio was Nicky’s father she might feel obligated to be there for them.
”But that was never what I wanted. I didn’t want to spread my legs for any Alpha or Beta that just needed to get off. I refused to be some Alpha’s little pity project either. I wanted to make it on our own. I wanted to show my boy that he can make it through life without depending on anyone else.” her eyes brimming with tears refusing to let them fall.
Rio’s expression changes as well, her mocking look turns to one of understanding and something else Agatha couldn’t put her finger on. “So you lie about who you are to make for a better life for Nicholas.” Leaning forward in her chair to reach for the bottle of wine, pouring herself some before looking up to Agatha. The neck of the bottle tilted enough over her nearly empty glass. A silent offer from Rio to pour a drink for the omega but places the bottle back down when Agatha shakes her head.
A gentle grip brings the now full glass of wine to Rio’s lips with practiced motion and grace only found in professional paint strokes. As Rio takes her short sip, she eyes Agatha up and down once. “And your boy's father is nowhere to be found, it’s a shame, he’s a good kid.” The comment brings a burst of emotion from Agatha, but she stays where she’s sitting.
“Yes, I lie so that I can make enough for the only good I have in this life because the deadbeat that helped me make him couldn’t even have bothered to leave a number before she left in the middle of the night.” Dark purple eyes glower at Rio while Agatha talks about the boy's father, but something in Rio isn’t connecting and Agatha can tell.
Another sip from her glass, casual as before, as she asks “So this was someone you were close to? Or just a one-night stand?” Rio asked questions far too personally, she knew this, but she also wanted to understand why an Alpha would just leave an Omega they were close enough to be with.
”She was the drummer for a small band I had seen in a bar. I did everything I could just hoping she would notice me, so when she finally did I felt like this was my chance to get to have time with her.” Shaking her head as she goes for the glass of wine on the table, feeling she needs to polish it off before she gets more into this story.
She can feel Rios's eyes on her neck, taking the rest of the soft crimson wine into her mouth, felt like the Alpha’s hands were wrapped around just under her jaw. She can smell the other woman's need, but this conversation is far from over. Placing the glass back down, Agatha continues.
“We spent all night talking, laughing, flirting, and at the end she invited me back to her hotel room. She said she couldn’t stay in town for long, but that she wanted to keep seeing my face in the crowd so she knew there was someone out there cheering her on.” Agatha says with a scoff, then continues. “So we went back to the hotel and fucked. She knotted me and we went to sleep. When I woke up she was gone, I was a mess, and not even a phone number had been left behind.”
A deep inhale was intended to calm Agatha’s nerves, but with that inhale she got a whiff of the Alpha sitting on the other side of her coffee table.
“A knotty one-night stand and gone. So why didn’t you follow her band?” tilting her head to one side, looking truly curious about why Agatha had given up.
”The band was gone. Disbanded, if you will. It was like they all just disappeared. I tried asking around and everyone just kept saying that they broke up after the singer was found dead and went their separate ways. No one could tell me which way any of them went. I can't even seem to remember her name.” She explains as her hand moves to her face, rubbing over her forehead. “And I haven’t been with anyone since then. I haven’t even been able to muster up interest in anyone.”
Her gaze moves to Rio “Until recently, that is.” The green witch puts on the hint of a smirk.
“Why do you think you’ve gained an interest as of recently?” Rio sips from her glass while Agatha stands up to answer her.
”You remind me of her. You remind me too much of her.” Crossing the distance between the two, giving the chair Rio was sitting in a push with her foot, scooting it out and away from the coffee table. “And I can’t tell if it makes me hate you.” Watching as Rio’s eyes never move from Agatha’s face. The purple witch, in her tight high-waisted jeans and tank top, presses a knee to one side of Rio. It settles between the green witch’s outer thigh and the arm of the red chair.
“Do you hate me?” Rio asks, her voice tense as if she wasn’t sure if she should be pushing the woman away or clutching her closer. She settles on placing a hand at the top of Agatha’s thigh, close to the hip so she would be ready when she made her choice. Agatha takes hold of Rio’s wine glass, swirling the liquid inside around a few times as she answers “I don’t know”.
Agatha positions a hand under Rio’s chin, leaning her head back in a way that her body follows into something of a slouch in the red chair they were now sharing. Agatha shifts her other knee up to straddle the green witch under her, knowing that there was truly only one way to know if this was actually the same woman that she had been with eight years ago.
”Do you ever think of her without hate?” Rio asks while scooting herself so that Agatha is now straddling right over her hips, all it would take is the woman with the wine sitting back to push this over the line.
”Sometimes during heats. I think about her when I’m touching myself.” Agatha says with a cheeky little smirk as she takes a sizable mouthful from Rio’s glass she has now reclaimed. Agatha dips down, pressing her lips to Rio’s. The green witch’s mind becomes fuzzy as her, now free, arm wraps around Agatha’s waist. She holds her in place while she opens her mouth to accept the wine Agatha holds in hers.
”Mmm~” Agatha moans as she realizes Rio is willing to take the wine from her. The tanktop-clad woman moves her hand to wrap around the neck of the woman she’s straddling, giving her a light squeeze to further test the boundaries.
It's now Rio’s turn to moan, her eyelids flutter as she gets lightheaded from the pressure around her neck and the front of her pants grows. Like the need of a starving animal reaching for the sweetest fruit just at the other side of the barrier. The wine starts to dribble from Agatha’s lips into Rio’s waiting mouth while she grinds down against the front of her boss’s lap.
Agatha revels in the feeling of the stiffness pressed firmly between her legs, emptying the contents of her mouth into Rio’s. The grip she has on the woman under her feels like she’s the Alpha, Rio allowing her the chance to choose the pace of their interaction.
After the transfer of wine is completed she feels Rio’s tongue slip into her mouth, licking across hers like she wanted every last taste of the wine they had just shared and would lick it from the bowl like a beast. The Alpha swallows Agatha’s moans when Rio bucks up against her, rubbing the tent that had been growing between her legs.
Agatha could feel the heat of their bodies together and the possibility of having found her son’s father after so long spurs her on. There was more than just a need to be touched under Agatha’s intent, she needed to know if this woman was the one who had abandoned them.
She pulls away, standing up for just long enough to strip her tight pants from her body, the scent of her sex filling the room as soon as her basic white panties are exposed.
She watches as Rio sucks in a breath while Agatha comes closer to reclaim her seat. “Fuck…” she hisses through her teeth as a rush of omega’s scent floods her senses. She then notices the wet spot that had been made on Agatha’s panties before it’s pressed to the front of her pants.
The hand that had been ready to shove the omega to the floor was now gripping like she was afraid Agatha might fall from her lap. There was more behind her eyes, but Agatha couldn’t seem to read what was going on in Rio’s head. Instead, she grinds her barely covered cunt across where the Alpha needs the most attention, already creating a stane there.
”Agatha, I don’t mind doing this, but realize that we have only just met.” Rio speaks through panting, her hips rolling up to meet the grind of the brunette in her lap. Another moan escapes through a bitten bottom lip as Agatha presses her chest to Rio’s face.
”Your reciprocation doesn’t make it seem like you really want me to stop.” Her hands snake between them to take hold of the button on Rio’s pants. “And since when do Alpha’s care if we’ve just met or not?” That comment earns her a stern look from Rio, the Alpha’s hands gripping around Agatha’s wrists to stop her from moving this any further.
”That’s not why I came here.” Pulling her hands away as she speaks “I came here to learn more about you, just like the first lunch we had but it keeps turning out like this.” She explains while Agatha grinds her pussy down to distract her boss. Rio hisses through her teeth, this woman wasn’t going to make this easy.
”Stop” unable to change her scent from the horny smell of an Alpha so close to rut, but her actions were very different from what her scent gave off. Rio stands up, using Agatha’s hips to move her to a standing position instead of falling to the floor.
Agatha just stands there in her panties, a look of confusion and desperation on her face causing her to scrunch her nose at the Alpha denying her. “Please, Rio, I need this.” Her tone is pitiful as she attempts to close the distance between them, only to be stopped by the green witch.
“Do you need this? Or do you think this is what it’ll take for me to keep my mouth shut about your secret?” Her brows pinch together as she questions the woman that she has just been kissing. Agatha can’t bear to look this woman in her eyes, so she looks down at the dip in her throat.
“Both. I don’t even remember what it’s like to be touched by someone else.” Turning her head to look in the direction of the kitchen, exposing her neck and scent gland to the Alpha before releasing the spell that keeps her scent hidden from most. The grunt from the green witch was all she needed to hear to know that the full force of her scent just hit Rio.
The Alpha was already struggling with controlling herself as Agatha stirred her on, now that she was getting the full effect of her scent she could feel the pre-cum beading up from her tip against her boxers. The throb of her member was starting to get painful, the dull ache at her base beginning to feel like a bruise. She needed to release, be it by Agatha’s hand or her own.
“Fine.” Is the last thing she says before Agatha feels Rio’s lips against her again, the kiss is so needy and forceful that it almost hurts. The spirit witch pulls away from it to look at the front of Rio’s shirt, finding the buttons and pulling at them to further open her shirt.
”Where is your room?” Rio’s voice was husky, lustful, and filled with intent. Agatha points in the hall just behind them, Rio following her motion and then turning back to pick the omega up. Agatha instantly wraps her legs around her hips and arms around her neck, Rio taking them down the hall leading to Agatha’s room. In the back of her mind, she was glad that her room was on the complete opposite side of the house from Nicky’s just this once.
Their kiss becomes heavy through mixed moans and licks of encouragement. Agatha becomes distracted from unbuttoning Rio’s shirt when she feels the way the Alpha lightly sucks on her tongue and bites at her bottom lip. The bite wasn’t hard enough to break skin, but it hurt, and the omega in her rolls around in a giddy fit. “Do it again, use your teeth on me.” She moans out, her back hitting her bedroom door both interrupting her and forcing another, much louder, moan from her throat.
”Hush… don’t wake him.” Rio murmurs against Agatha’s neck, scraping her teeth against the sensitive skin of her gland. Agatha didn’t know if she was more turned on that Rio was using her teeth like she had asked, or that she cared enough to worry about her son’s rest. With a turn of the doorknob they and both inside, the green witch turns to now slam Agatha against the bedroom door on the other side.
Another moan is ripped from the woman being thrown around and Rio’s hand slaps to the door behind her head. “I said… hush…” a green and black magic wisps around the witch’s hand, ghosting over the door, then the walls of the room. The purple witch grinds her soaked panties against Rio’s front impatiently, wanting this to move along so she could find out the truth.
Death sucks air in between her teeth as the barrier is placed around the room, her eyes glowing a bright green when she looks back to Agatha “You’re a brat”. The omega smiles at the comment, her tongue caught between her teeth as she does so. She giggles as Rio turns them around and tosses the woman onto the bed as if she were a doll. “You enjoy getting your way, no matter how you get it.”
Agatha lands on the bed with a bounce, her legs landing slightly spread and her mouth ajar in a silent gasp. “Of course, I enjoy getting my way. I don’t know anyone that doesn’t.” Her hand travels under her tank top to pinch and roll at her own nipples while Rio watches, slowly stepping closer.
A chuckle plays across Rio’s lips as she shakes her head, now standing at the foot of the bed with a finger crooked at Agatha “Come here. If you want this, take it out and prove it.” The command was said with a wave of dominance at half the potency of what she had used in her office on this same woman.
The omega lays there on the bed to stare at the Alpha daring to tell her what she needed to be doing. She couldn’t believe she was allowing it to get this far and yet the siphon needed the truth. Scooting to the end of the bed Agatha presses her hands to just above Rio’s hips, gripping the shirt there and pulling it up to reveal Rio’s abdominal muscles.
The green witch simpers, pleased with the way Agatha’s eyes dilate when she sees her stomach. Just to woo the woman further Rio leans back and flexes, her meal making the cut less defined but it still had the omega’s hands traveling over the definition. Blue eyes move up the valleys and dips until landing on the smug look on Rio’s face. “Of course, you have an insane body to add to it.” Pressing her fingers against the hard muscle under the soft skin, lifting the shirt the further up the siphon travels with her touch.
“To add to what?” Unbuttoning her top while Agatha has her fill of her stomach. When she’s able to pull her shirt apart she doesn’t even let it linger on her shoulders, the garment is disposed of in the corner of the room. She now stands there in her black pants and forest green, laced bra.
”To add to your annoying personality.” She quips at the woman she’s silently worshiping with her hands.
“You like it when I’m around, you can’t fool me.” The retort is accompanied with a hand to the back of Agatha’s head. Fingers comb through soft brown curls until Rio feels she’s found a good spot to scratch lightly against the omega’s scalp. It was a slow and meaningful action, taken to show that she would be patient and let Agatha take her time.
Agatha’s eyes roll back at the petting she was receiving, the weight of the hand on her head too much to keep her upright. Slowly, she begins leaning forward until her cheek is pressed against the strained erection in Rio’s pants. A subtle inhale of the Alpha’s scent is stolen, hoping it went unnoticed, helping the spirit witch’s body properly prepare with a flood of wetness gathered at the apex of her soft thighs.
She bites into her own bottom lip, a groan building in her chest as she watches Agatha turn and press kisses over the front of her black slacks. “Fuck~” the green witch moans out, her hips instinctively moving forward. The motion rubs the bulge against the other woman’s lips, Agatha opening her mouth so that her top lip drags against the fabric, showing her teeth when she looks up. Blue eyes find a predatory look in Rio’s brown.
”Are you going to be teasing me all night?” Massaging at her own chest with the hand that wasn’t rubbing soft circles at Agatha’s scalp. An open-mouthed smile appears against the omega’s soft lips just before she teeths lightly against where she now knows is the length of Rio’s dick.
“Agatha~” the name moaned out, reward enough for her to work her fingers back down Rio’s body to pinch at the button of her pants. She had found out pretty quickly that Rio was well-sized for a woman of her body mass, but she wanted to know the specific details of it, and the only way to find that out was to look at it herself.
The sound of Rio’s zipper was deafening in the room she hadn’t realized was almost silent, other than the sounds of their panting and the ruffling of clothes. “I like it when you’re around,” Agatha admits as she reaches into her boss's slacks, feeling that she isn’t wearing anything under them so her hand lands on skin rather than more fabric.
The simple touch causes Rio to suck in a quick breath through her teeth, her lace-covered tits rising and falling. She felt like there wasn’t enough air in the room to fill her lungs and yet here she was, greedily pulling more in no matter if it was needed or not.
“Warm” is all Agatha says while giving the thickness a test squeeze, trying to figure out just how thick the woman was before she eventually pulls the full member out between the unzipped fly.
“Big, too.” She adds, the moment Rio’s sex is released from its confines she hushes her breathing as much as she can so that she’s able to better focus on how Agatha reacts to her.
Agatha’s hand ghosts over the soft skin that covers Rio’s cock, gripping halfway down its length to give it a test jerk. Rio’s tip is now being revealed as her foreskin is pulled back in the jerking motion. She sucks air in through her teeth while watching the way the other witch tests her body and patience.
Uncut, like the one who had impregnated her. The test jerk turns into a full motion when Agatha presses her nose against the base of the member, her hand moving from the middle of Rio’s length to just behind her ridge. The green witch can’t hold her voice back any longer, a low groan rumbling through her throat as she tips her head back.
Agatha knew this was her moment to find what she needed to verify this woman was her son’s father. The siphon opens her mouth, her wet tongue slipping between soft lips to press flat against the underside of Rio’s cock. She gasps at the contact on her thickness but doesn’t look down, taking in the sensation of the hot muscle moving up the sensitive underside of her dick.
She tastes like she had taken a shower before arriving. A woodsy smelling soup within the small pubic hair that had crowned Rio’s base, and not a single hint of sweat. When her tongue touches where her hand is jerking, she stops the motion to press the full seven-inch length back to her boss's body, the tip just below her belly button.
As she travels up with her tongue, she flexes and moves the pink muscle to feel every detail of the veiny meat. Once she feels the ridge, she changes the shape of her tongue to a thinner shape that allows her better control when pressing the tip to the divot where her foreskin connects to her cock head. A strangled grunt escapes Rio above her in response.
Now was it, the purple witch leans back to look at the sloppily licked length in front of her in search of a freckle shaped like a heart halfway up only to find it bare. “What?” She murmurs, thinking she said it in her head. The Alpha looks down with confusion and arousal in her eyes. “What’s wrong?” The words come out shaky as she watches the way the omega scans her wet length with a frown.
There was no way this woman wasn’t the same green witch as before. There were so many similarities between the two, the song, the way she acted, the scent she carried. They were all the same! This has to be her! She hadn’t heard Rio’s question until a hand was placed under her chin to lift her eyes to meet the ones looking down at her. Only worry could be seen on Rio’s face now.
”We don’t have to do this, Agatha. I can go home and we can act like this never happened.” Taking a half step back before she’s stopped by Agatha reaching out to grip one of the open sides of Rio’s unzipped pants.
”No, I’m okay. It’s just been a while, I’m a little nervous.” Agatha lies and Rio can tell, leaning away from her to test the omega’s resolve. When the grip doesn’t lessen, she gently brushes the back of her knuckles against the brunette's cheek. “Tell me, if there is ever anything you don’t want and I will respect your choices.” Attempting to reassure her new lover.
Agatha shakes her head and murmurs “I’m not ready to be touched in return yet,” pulling Rio closer once more to press her forehead against her hip. “Not yet.” There were so many things running through her mind, one of them trying to rationalize that this wasn’t her son’s father.
”Let me please you,” her hand moving back to Rio’s member when she looks up once more. “Then share my bed with me. I want you to hold me.” There wasn’t a reason Agatha could give out loud but she knew she wanted this witch’s arms around her.
She gives the length a few more slow strokes before placing the tip against her lips, looking up at Rio as she slowly reveals the rest of the green witch’s tip by rolling her foreskin behind her ridge.
The new office manager is stunned by the beauty of the woman touching her. The way her eyes almost glow when she says “Yes” is like she was making a deal with the siphon.
When Agatha hears Rio’s answer, her lips slip over the tip, engulfing it in wet, vibrating heat when she moans at the taste she receives. The pre-cum that had been dribbling out of the Alpha’s tip was now rubbing a trail along the top of this omega’s tongue like a painter putting down their first test strokes. The raven-haired woman’s head rolls back with a throaty groan as more heat envelopes her length.
Agatha takes and takes until it reaches the back of her tongue, gags then pulls back to bobbing her lips over the Alpha’s ridge. The moaning only grew after the gag, showing that she enjoyed the feeling as well as the strangled moan it produced from Rio above her. The green witch was struggling to keep her hips from moving, little twitches here, a threat of a hump there, but all together she was shockingly still for someone being sucked off.
The steady strokes Agatha has been giving to the length her mouth wasn’t covering quickens as she reaches her free hand up to cup at the green-covered breast Rio had previously been busy with. She was glad Rio was fine with her full thickness not being touched as Agatha’s single hand couldn’t quite fit around it. The instant feeling of a hard nub behind the fabric sends a wave of thrill through the omega, wetness coating the panties she still wore while she pinches the nub between her fingers to roll.
Rio’s body shivers at the pinch, her hips jerking forward too far this time hitting the back of Agatha’s throat on accident. The sound of a gag makes Rio pull her hips back only to be stopped by the hand that was once around her cock. It grips at her pant-covered butt and pulls her closer again, pushing her tip to the back of Agatha’s throat again. Another gargled gag can be heard from the omega but this time it’s mixed with a moan.
Rio had mixed feelings about being too rough with this woman after how she had used her scent against her and met resistance but it seemed as though physical roughness didn’t bother her as much. The Alpha uses the hand, still at the back of Agatha’s head, to grip the hair at the back of her head. A test squeeze produces a gasp, then a harder grip elisites a full moan with more enthusiastic sucking.
“So you like it when someone takes control.” Rio’s voice was husky and hoarse with lust at this most excellent discovery. Agatha didn’t need to answer with words when Rio thrusts further into her mouth by forcing her head down on the length at the same time. The hand that had been at her rear was now between the omega’s legs rubbing frantically at the wet spot they had created together.
“You do” she practically purrs out.
“Then I’ll take control… if you want.” A pitiful-sounding whimper coming from the now-shaking omega.
Rio places a hand under Agatha’s chin, tilting it up, then spreads her feet apart so they’re spread to be parallel with her shoulders. “Tap my thigh if you want me to stop.” She instructs, waiting for some kind of sign from the woman with her lips around her.
A nod from the woman with her mouth full of witch was all it took for said witch to start up her hips, pumping her length into the spirit witch. Rio already felt like this woman was sucking the soul from her body, but when she hits the back of Agatha’s throat again, this time she feels the omega pushing it further down. The way brown eyes widen as a vision flashes in her mind for a split second.
It was this exact situation but at a different time.
Rio was fucking into someone’s throat, someone that looked familiar.
A fuzzy haze from the bar hung around the two as the same blue eyes that were looking up at her now look up at her in the vision.
In the vision Rio thrusts harder, pushing further into the throat that squeezes tight around her length, and in this moment with Agatha she does the same. The actions played out like some kind of muscle memory with Rio thrusting further down the omega’s throat with each pump of her hips.
The vision fades away only for another one to replace it, this time the face of the woman sucking her cock was more clear, makeup running down her face as she tears up. The vision fades and Rio sees the same face, but with less makeup and tamer hair.
”Aga-tha” she grunts as another vision flashes into her mind, this time she had pulled the past Agatha’s mouth off of her by her messy hair and motioned to the bed, it looked like a cheap motel bed, and says ‘Get up there, let me fuck that pretty pussy.’. A cold and selfish pang of guilt hits her at the center of her chest as the vision fades away. The last thing she sees of it is Agatha bent over, presenting herself.
“I’m gonna..” said between grit teeth when she felt a nose in the short pubic hair on her body, thrusting shallowly into the omega’s body while holding her head in place. Agatha’s hand went wild between her legs, rubbing so roughly at the cotton-covered clit while looking up at Rio. The tears stain her face as a gag tightens around the green witch’s full length.
She can’t hold on any longer and lets out a loud and uncontrolled sting of moans to accompany the ropes of seed she was now shooting into Agatha’s body. The feeling of a hand tapping at her thigh registers through her orgasm, somehow, a quick look down at the red face pressed to her groin as she pulls out of her fully. A slight scrape of teeth against her tip is responsible for the hiss Rio sucks in through her grit teeth but this doesn’t stop her from the orgasm rippling through her like high tide waves.
”Rio!” Agatha choked out while roughly gripping the covered breast in her hand long enough to keep the Alpha in place, then moved it to the pulsing length that had just escaped her mouth. She roughly jerks the slobbery, drippy, ejaculating erection and places the tip against her tongue that now hangs out of her mouth. Rio’s cum starts to coat the muscle while the one that seemed in control now orgasms over her own fingers.
The omega’s body shakes in her orgasm, intoxicated by the scent being put off by the Alpha filling her mouth with warm semen. Once she’s satisfied that she’s gotten every drop by stroking roughly from the base to the tip, she lets the member bob there in front of her. Pulling her fingers out from between her legs to examine the mess that had been made.
A look of shock when she sees her fingers covered in her own orgasm, looking between them to see she had created a large wet spot at the foot of the bed. “I guess towels will be needed next time.” The statement unintentionally came out.
Rio turns to flop on the bed, her back hitting the soft comforter. “Next time, huh?” Agatha could hear the smirk in her voice before even turning to look at her.
”Yeah, maybe.” Tugging on Rio’s pants. “Take these off. You’re not wearing outside clothes in my clean bed.” Moving to strip herself of her own clothes, pausing at the ruined underwear. After a short moment of thought, she drops them on the floor by the bed and slides in.
She hadn’t even gotten comfortable yet when she felt strong arms snake around her waist, pulling her butt and back into contact with Rio’s front. She was glad to feel that
Rio had left her boxers on rather than strip down naked as Agatha had, but she could still feel the erection in them getting softer with time.
”Relax, it’s time for bed.” Rio was able to feel just how stiff Agatha was while being held.
”I told you it’s been a while, give me a minute to be okay with someone touching me.” This statement rings true in Death’s ears as she evens out her breathing to mimic sleep.
————————
It hadn’t taken too long for Agatha to fall asleep, but a curse that Rio had to live with was the inability to sleep. She lay there, holding the other woman in her arms while thinking about the visions she had seen. It wasn’t like it was a dream she had before and she didn’t have past lives, so what was this? Imagination? Lost memories? Why was she seeing these images of her and Agatha being together in the past?
And the song. She could hear it being played in the background of these memories but still couldn’t pinpoint what the visions were about.
Words from the song can be heard though and she focuses ‘If I can’t hold you, remember what I told you’. This causes another flash of a vision, but this one is of Rio sitting at a drum set and someone in long robes singing out in front of her on the stage they were on. In the distance, she can see someone jumping up and down in the crowd. Someone she was glad to be seeing. It was Agatha, younger, but still her.
The vision dies down again and Rio is stunned by what she’s seeing. Why was she getting these memories? Where were they coming from?
A sudden spike in power nearby stops her thoughts, focusing on the strangely familiar magic she felt moving around. Rio then hears a notification go off on Agatha’s phone, sitting on the nightstand it shows there is activity at the front door on the notification.
Honey brown eyes glare at the bedroom door as she wonders what kind of powerful being is at Agatha’s front door.
Suddenly, the power is gone. Like it had been sucked up out of reality. “What the hell?” The green witch murmurs while sitting up in bed. That’s when she sees a hand reaching through a floor mirror at the other end of the room. Rio jumps up out of bed with her hands at the ready, glowing a bright green and black mixture when a figure steps out of the mirror.
The sudden loss of warmth awakens the spirit witch, turning to see Rio in a battle-ready stance. “What are you doing?” She asks, then follows her new lover’s line of site to see the figure closing the miniature portal behind her.
”Rio, what are you doing here?” The voice is all too familiar to the Alpha.
”Wanda, what the fuck?!” Agatha yells out as she pulls the sheets to better cover herself. “Have you never heard of knocking?!”
Chapter 9: Not your Prized Pony
Chapter Text
A sip of coffee burns Rio’s tongue, like the morning events weren’t enough to wake her up.
The green witch winces in pain as her attention moves to the other side of the table where green eyes look back at her. Wanda sits, looking both confused and annoyed while thinking about what could have possibly happened between Agatha and Rio. “So it seems we have a mutual friend.” the green witch chuckles, pulling up on her borrowed tank top to cover the crease between her breasts as she rubs her burnt tongue against the roof of her mouth.
“You two appear a bit closer than friends, don’t you think?” her voice hushed so the boy at the end of the table couldn’t hear them. Rio looks to Nicky who sits at the end of the table eating his bowl of cereal, his metal spoon clanking against his teeth now and then. Bright brown eyes look up to see the green and chaos witch looking at him. “What?” rubbing a small hand over his chin “Did I spill?” Wanda changes her face to one of a caretaker rather than an interrogator like she had on for Rio. “No, sweetheart, Rio and I were just-”
A plate is set down in front of Rio by the mutual friend they had been speaking of, Agatha glaring down between the other adults at the table. The plate lets off an aroma of eggs and lightly burnt bacon, the scent sticking to Rio’s nasal cavity like tack.
“What we are hasn’t been discussed and if it is to be discussed, said discussion won't be happening at the breakfast table. So can we all move past this and can you,” looking to Wanda “Explain why you felt you needed to enter my room without knocking?” then looks to Rio “And why have you chosen to steal my clothes not once, but twice now?” eyeing down to the boxers the green witch had on.
Rio can’t help the smirk that pulls at the corner of her lips as she leans forward, spreading her legs a little wider while digging a fork into the breakfast she had been given. “I figured if we were having a sleepover I could borrow something to wear while sleeping.” Nicky’s head pops up as he straightens his posture. “What? You spent the night?" The look on his face was one of a deeply offended child.
“What do you mean? And we didn’t make a sleepover fort?!” Agatha is just about to defend herself when Wanda speaks on her behalf “Nicky, go get dressed for our day out. We can have a sleepover tonight.” Her smile is soft and kind as she speaks to the boy like she has known him for years.
“Can Rio come too? She likes plants and I want to learn more.” He wonders, looking at his mother, then Wanda. Rio couldn’t put her finger on why this bothered her, but the way the boy looked between the others made it feel like Wanda was considered a parental figure.
“We can talk about it later, Rio might be busy tonight,” Agatha answers after a moment, wanting this moment to be over before it gets too far.
Nicky shovels a few more bites of his breakfast into his mouth, hums a reply, and then pushes away from the table. Agatha places her head in her hands once she’s sat down with them but chooses to wait for her son to leave the room.
After waiting for Nicky to be out of earshot and the sound of her son’s door slamming shut, Agatha looks to Wanda and whisper yells, “What the fuck do you think you’re doing??” The redhead looks unsurprised to hear Agatha using such a tone with her. A slow turn of her head brings green eyes to meet blue with an intense stare. The irritation in Agatha brings a smile to Rio’s face before a crunchy piece of bacon is placed into her mouth.
“I felt nothing coming from your bedroom. A complete absence of power. I know what your magic feels like and even that was gone. I was worried that something might have happened until I realized there was a barrier around your room.” Wanda’s look moves to Rio “And I only knew of one person who can craft a barrier that well.”
”Now I’m flattered, someone like you complimenting my powers.” Her words hold a mock flattery in them that has Agatha rolling her eyes.
"Your sarcasm is refreshing as always, Rio. Isn’t it a little low brow for someone like you?" seeming to not actually be enjoying Lady Death’s comment. A frown pulls at her lips before looking back to Agatha who appears confused by what her friend has said to her one-time lover.
“How did you two end up meeting? I figured neither of you would hang around the same crowd.” pointing a finger from one to the other.
Rio can’t help but feel like her friend, a beta, was trying to stake claims on the woman she bedded just the night before. It felt like she was trying to protect her from something.
While Wanda’s protective nature wasn’t unnatural for Agatha to see, it was strange to see it so strong towards someone she claims to be a friend. “We met at work. She came in as the new floor manager.”
Wanda tilts her head to the side just a bit as her brows raise. “Floor manager, I didn’t know the position was available.” turning to look at Rio who had now stopped eating, less than pleased with the way Wanda was treating her.
“Yes, it was available and something told me to go for it. It’s a pay cut, but not anything I need to worry about.” Rio’s voice feels stiff as it leaves her lips. “Do you have something you’d like to say? Because you’re starting to piss me off with this attitude.” Rio’s scent changes to one of a very unhappy Alpha. It burns Wanda’s throat, but she ignores it enough to seem unaffected.
Agatha moves her hand to her nose in an attempt to block out the unpleasant scent but turns away to hide that her eyes start watering. The redhead's hand reaches out to cup Agatha’s cheek, trying to soothe her, but is met with a snarl from Rio.
Both women look at the green witch in shock, Rio’s upper lip pulled back into a snarl while her brows furrow in displeasure. Wanda removes her hand from Agatha’s face and stands from the dining room table. “I’m acting like this because I could smell your scent all over her room like you had been marking your territory all night.” looking to Agatha as if she were a disappointed parent.
The spirit witch is done with the conversation being had around her like she wasn’t standing right there he stands from the table next and points a finger at Wanda “You aren’t my guardian. We’ve gone over this and you said you understood. Thank you for your help, but start knocking before you enter my bedroom. I need boundaries from your all-seeing eyes.” Wanda’s jaw flexes and Agatha’s frown deepens “You said you understood.” making sure the point sticks. The scarlet witch’s blackened fingers tap against the table, but she turns away in the direction of Nicky’s room.
Next, Agatha’s finger points in Rio’s direction. “And you, we had one night together. That doesn’t give you the right to start scenting all over my house and taking my clothes.” reaching forward to pinch the neck of the tank she wears.
“Agatha-“ Rio stands and tries to interject but is cut off by the woman she’s speaking to, taking a single step closer to her.
“We didn’t even bond, so stop acting like we did. We are just two people that work for the same place and you just so happen to be fun at the end of a long night.” the snarl that had been rumbling in Rio’s throat was now silent. She felt like all sound was dying out while Agatha spoke of what they had done.
”I had a secret and you knew it, now I have a little secret of my own to hold over you. I needed insurance, you gave it to me in a well-sized dick down my throat." The bite in Agatha’s voice has her speaking as though she’s worried her words will crack the room around them.
“So enough with this possessive Alpha act, I’m not dealing with you two,” pointing to Nicky’s room, where Wanda had disappeared to “Acting like I’m some kind of prized pony to be fought over.” putting her hand down when Nicky comes from his room, dressed in tan pants, a tan jacket, and a green t-shirt.
”I’m ready now, momma.” He says in a cheery tone, too young to be able to catch onto the scents going on around him.
Rio looks away for a moment, debating what the best choice of action for her would be, then looks back to the siphon with a smile. “Oh, Agatha.” there was pity in her voice. “I won't be fighting over you like some prize to be won, don’t worry.” the pity turned into a taunt with just a few words.
”I don’t need to fight over you.” motioning to Wanda who was now entering the main part of the house from Nicky’s room. ”Not with her.” giving the purple witch a wink then speaks to Wanda directly “Let’s catch dinner sometime, little red.”
The nickname brings a grin to Wanda’s lips, “Don’t worry, Lady Death. I won’t be missing dinner with you.” the grin turns into a poisonous smile.
This was a side of Wanda Agatha hadn’t seen in a while, and after what she had just heard the Scarlet Witch call Rio, she was genuinely curious just how they knew one another.
“I’ll come get my clothes later, I’ll be borrowing these until next time.” tugging at the boxers on her bottom half before she turns to the door, opens it without touching it, and exits the house.

Chap 10
“Look, momma!” Nicky yells out while running to the nearest animal enclosure, pointing his finger out at a big hippopotamus lounging in a man-made pond. The excitement in the boy brings a smile to his mother’s face as she and Wanda follow along behind him. Wanda smiles softly while Agatha waits for the right moment to ask her questions.
“You realize that I can feel the tension in your nerves, right? Asking your questions won’t ruin his day, he’s too into everything around him.” Wanda mentions before Agatha turns on her, keeping her body turned enough so that she’s able to see her son.
”You have no right to speak of what you can and can’t feel when you could likely feel just how pissed off I was when you showed up in my bedroom this morning.” Waving her hand through the air in front of Wanda as she speaks to better animate her point. “And just how uncomfortable I was when I found out that you and the woman I had just sucked off knew each other.” A mother and child walk by the two just as Agatha states this, the mother placing her hands over the child’s ears.
Agatha sneers, about to make a comment at the woman with her child but is cut off by Wanda giving her a fake smile “Sorry!” Giving her best suburban mom tone “Let’s move along, Nicky!” Wanting to put space between them and a few other parents.
“Don’t try and act like this is okay, you know far more about that woman than you’re letting on, so tell me.” Refusing to move. Wanda waves Nicky along then reaches back to grab Agatha’s wrist. The siphon yanks her arm back in a stubborn attempt to get her way.
“I want to know what’s going on. Not the partial story like you enjoy giving me, the whole thing.” Tempted to just dip into the woman’s mind on her own, but wants to respect the friendship they hold and the boundaries set in place.
”Okay, fine, but I’d like to get out of this enclosed area first.” Staring at Agatha intently for a few seconds before the spirit witch laughs out “Fine.” Whipping her hair behind her shoulder as she begins walking, like this was her idea stopping when she catches up to her son. A frown pulls at the corner of her lips as she follows Nicky out, not wanting to ruin his day.
It takes a short walk for them to find the giraffe exhibit, the young boy sees the booth offering food for the animals. Nicky looks up between the witches following him with big puppy dog eyes in hopes of persuading one of them to buy him some greens. Wanda pays for a whole basket of greens for Nicky, “Have fun, little man”. Letting him loose with his overfilled basket.
The witches move to a nearby bench, making sure to face towards Nicky before anything else.
“Speak” Agatha finally says after a moment of silence between the two, Wanda looking at her with a lack of shock.
“Rio and I have known each other for quite some time. Since I was a child, actually.” Pausing to let this sink in with the witch next to her. “She was the one who saved my brother and me after we had been trapped for two days.”
Agatha’s brows pull together at this information, interrupting the woman next to her “What do you mean? That’s not the story you told me when you first explained what had happened between you and your brother.”
Wanda shakes her head and shrugs “The story itself seemed unbelievable, I didn’t think you’d believe the full thing.” She says before continuing her story. “We had been trapped there when Rio showed up, covered in a black shroud and vines. We had no idea who she was or why someone like that was in Sokovia, but she told us to stay there for just a little longer until she had finished her job.” Chuckling as she realizes that the accent she had been trying too hard to hide was poking its head out during this story.
“Just as this mystery woman had said before, she came back to see us after a short while and told us she could bring us to a safe area. Who were we as children to say no to an adult with a kind face, willing to give up safety?” Using her middle finger to press the crease forming between her brows out.
“She took us to a shed covered in vines and foliage and told us to stay there while she worked. We didn’t understand it at the time, of course, but she was a very busy woman while working in a bombed city. She cleared the streets of bodies and helped the spirits across while we waited for her to return.” Wanda looks to the other witch to see the expression she had been expecting. Confusion.
“Rio isn’t just a green witch, she’s the original green witch. Rio is death itself and she has a job to do that keeps her busy most of the time.” Wanda explains a little further “Though I expect that hasn’t come up in the time you two have been with each other.” A smirk pulled across the Scarlet Witch’s lips.
“No, it hasn’t. We had other things on our mind if you couldn’t tell.” Agatha snaps back at the sass she was getting from her friend.
“Well, while she’s a dangerous being, she cares quite a bit about the people she takes in. She wasn’t around a whole lot when my brother and I were in hiding in that shed, but we always had fresh food and drink every day so we knew she was stopping by at least daily.” Wanda states while crossing her arms over her chest.
“She kept us out of harm's way, kept us from being bombed like the rest of those in the streets.” Tapping her fingers over her own arm for a moment. “And we were only ten, it wasn’t like we were really capable of doing anything helpful in the war efforts.”.
“So we stayed in the bunker for a few years. Every once in a while we would venture out but we didn’t start really moving around on our own until we were fifteen. Rio had given us more distance to find ourselves as people but she was always close by to make sure we were safe.” Wanda remembers back when she’d see a flower blooming in the middle of the ash-covered winters or eyes in the distance that glowed a bright green.
“So Rio was your babysitter. You made it sound like you two had been lovers.” Agatha says with a slightly relieved tone.
“Ah, not when I was younger, no, but Rio stayed with me for quite some time, even after I had joined HYDRA.” The shame in saying this to Agatha had faded after the first time she had told her, the purple witch reassuring her that witches do what they have to do to survive and there was nothing wrong with that. She wept in Agatha’s arms that night.
“She said she’d be waiting outside the faculty and she wouldn’t stop me from doing what I felt was right, but she did ask me not to go.” The Scarlet Witch leans back, placing an arm behind Agatha on the bench. “I had so much hate for Americans at that point I don’t think anything could have stopped me.”
“That’s when you learned about the experiments?” Agatha asks, not sure about what parts of Wanda’s previous story were true or not now.
Wanda nods her head in confirmation then continues. “They started testing on me and Rio said she couldn’t come visit inside of the facility because of the wards and runes put in place. I said I understood but I was hurt that she wouldn’t come see me or my brother.” Shrugging her shoulders as she lets out a long exhale.
“I finally got to see her again when I was seventeen. We were on the path to war when Pietro chose that moment to be a hero, dying in the streets for strangers. Leaving me alone.” Her words were calm and low like she had dealt with this pain before and simply accepted it.
“That’s when she came. The moment his body hit the ground Rio was there, waiting to pick him back up again and take him away.” There was sadness in her eyes but the pain was gone now after how many years had passed. “That’s when she asked me to follow her to another place so I could start over.” Motioning her hand in front of her, wiggling her fingers to show the chaos magic snaking through them.
“She said she could find me a place to live a new life, away from the war, away from the pain.” the magic in her fingers ghosts around her hand as it makes for a slow crawl up her arm. “And how could a teenager with nothing left turn away from the one person she knew?” Dropping her hand when she realizes that others are starting to stare at her.
“So we came to the States, Rio got me a little apartment and a job to help me find my footing in this new world.” A haze went over the red witch’s eyes as if she were remembering those first few nights. “Then for twelve years I never saw Rio. Or at least that’s what she thought.” Looking back to Agatha who was listening intently. “She tried to tell me that I needed to learn how to be my own person. How to make my own choices and love who I am.”
Agatha chuckles at this “She was trying to let you make your own new life, and by doing so abandoned you.” Wanda clicks her tongue against her teeth in response “Exactly. I hung on every word that woman said but she left me alone in a new place surrounded by strangers in a city I didn’t know the language of. I had to do everything the hard way and no one was there to aid me.” Her voice slipped back into that non-accented version of itself.
“What did you mean Rio thought it had been twelve years? Did you run into her before then?” Agatha asks, wondering what her friend meant by her words.
“Yes, I went out to find her during the blip. I figured with all the talk she had done about balance and how there’s a natural order to things, she might be a little fucked up with how many people just disappeared.” A shake of her head as she continues “And she was bad. She had pretty much gone on a strike from her job as death and had been going around from motel to motel, woman to woman, drug to drug. She was in bad shape.”
Agatha tries to imagine the woman she had been around the last couple of days as a party animal and the image simply wouldn’t form.
“I found her rutting into some girl in a cheap motel room and at that moment I realized there was more to her than I had previously known. That woman I looked up to, admired, and even loved, was so broken when things weren’t balanced out for her. It was like the moment things weren’t balanced out in the world she lost her mind.” Wanda remembers the moment she had caught Rio fucking some poor whimpering woman into the cheap bed sheets under her. The clapping of hips meeting ass filled the room while jealousy filled Wanda’s heart.
Agatha can tell Wanda isn’t telling the full truth of this story but doesn’t quite call her friend out on it yet. She wants to see how far the Scarlet Witch will go to keep certain secrets to herself.
“So after that, I went to a nearby bar, wishing I could ruin Rio’s life along with the woman she had been spending the night with. Drinking a couple of nights away there until I met you.” Green eyes look up to search for blues. Agatha remembers the night as her happening upon Wanda while Wanda remembers it as her waiting to find out what kind of woman Rio would bed.
“And we’ve been there for each other since,” Agatha adds.
“Not the way I had expected, at first, but I like where we are now.” Wanda tastes the sting of her own lie as it leaves her lips, Agatha frowning at this. “Don’t lie to me, Wanda. It’s not cute.” The Scarlet Witch looked over at Nicky to see him talking the attendant's ear off with information they likely already knew.
“Either way, you know of what happened with Vision. After meeting him I felt like life could go back to normal, then the boys were born and everything felt right. Then the government came to take him, claiming he was their property, and dared to call my boys collateral damage.” The red magic that had been swirling around her hands now started up around her entire body. The memory of soldiers gunning down Tommy and Billy filled the witch’s mind until she felt the power being drained from her. Yes, by Agatha, but not with her siphoning abilities. She wraps her arms around the woman next to her and pulls her into a tight hug.
While she wanted to comfort her friend, something about holding Wanda felt off. She was warm, but this wasn’t the same kind of warmth she had felt the night before when Rio held her. This was distant and humid and anything but enjoyable while through the entire night Rio had held her, Agatha felt nothing but comfort.
“I’m assuming you saw Rio again.” Agatha murmurs to Wanda, the red witch nodding her head in confirmation. “Yes, she finally came back after all those years and it was to take away the only happiness left in my life, again.” Tears pool up in Wanda’s eyes as she fights off the empty feeling in her chest.
“I begged her not to take them, told her I’d trade anything for her to just let them live.” A pathetic-sounding sound escaped Wanda’s throat as she choked back a sob. “She refused. She told me she hadn’t a choice in this and could only do as the balance demanded of her.” A low sigh leaves Wanda as Agatha releases her from the tight hug, leaning back once more to give some space.
“I offered her everything I had, my soul, my body, my everything, just to get the chance to let them live but nothing was good enough for the great Lady Death. Instead, she offered to comfort me for a short while, feeling she owed me this after having left me alone for so long.” The lump in Wanda’s throat only grows as she remembers the next parts of this story.
“She kept her word, she comforted me, but not in the ways that I wanted her to. I needed anything to feel again so I begged her to kill me. She refused. So I begged her to fuck me. Again, she refused. For a week we laid there in my bed, her arms around me while I sobbed, wishing there was something I could do.” A shake of her head as she lands her forehead in her palm.
“Nothing was good enough. Finally, I got out of bed and Rio left to continue her job. While I thought she had gone to take my boys across to her world, she came back to me a few days after to inform me that their spirits were nowhere to be found.”
Agatha thinks about what this might mean, being a spirit witch, she knew that there was only so long a spirit would stay connected to a body before moving on. “So they had moved on to somewhere else.” The statement hung in the air until the conversation was broken by Nicky running up to the pair, excitement and wonder on his face.
“MOMMA!! They said if we come back before the end of the day I can help them give dinner to the giraffes!” His big brown eyes looked to Wanda, the lump that had been stuck in her throat now felt like it might cut off her air. The way this boy looked so much like Rio was astonishing.
“Why do you look sad? Do you want to go see a different animal? I think the snow leopard is near here.” He looks around, hoping to find a different animal that might make his friend happier.
“No, sweetie. I was just thinking about your cousins.” The smile on her face is put on to try and ease Nicky’s worries but bends when he looks back at her with concern.
“Oh, momma said that Tommy and Billy are spirits now, but that they were never too far away.” His little eight-year-old hand moved to Wanda’s shoulder to pat her “So don’t worry, they’re not too far.” Taking her hand next and tugging at the woman to get her up off the bench.
Wanda stood up, a real smile moving across her face at the words the boy had offered her for comfort. “You’re right, Nicky. They’re never too far.” She says before looking back at Agatha, her heart swelling at how kind Nicky had grown to be.
“Come on, let’s find food, I’m hungry,” Agatha states as she stands up, finally.
————
The little group makes its way to food, all three sitting at a round table as Agatha takes a big bite of a corn dog. “So keep going. Tell me more. I have to be somewhere in this story again, you came to live with me and Nicky not too much longer after Vision was taken.” Talking with her mouth full of food.
“Momma, don’t talk with your mouth full, that’s not how ladies are supposed to eat.” Nicky corrects his momma.
Agatha points her half-eaten corn dog at him and says “What do you know about how ladies act? How many ladies have you eaten around? Huh?” Teasing the boy, both laughing as Nicky eats at his chicken tenders.
“You are both next up in my story. After telling me that the boy’s spirits were lost, she told me about a book that could help me. A book that I just so happen to know the location of.” Her brows raise as she looks at Agatha. The spirit witch rolls her eyes at Wanda, looking down to peak at the black fingertips the other woman sported.
“Yeah yeah, well you got your book and I got my friend back, so it was a win-win.” Taking a drink from her soda. “But what happened between you and Rio, it’s pretty clear that you two have still been in contact.” Agatha pokes to see if she can get any other answers out of Wanda.
“Yeah, after she lost the boys, she felt like she needed a distraction from her work so I helped her get a real job. A little tit for tat after she had helped me. That’s why she works for the same company as us now. I didn’t expect her to be moved here, but she was a big manager out in our main office.” A hint of irritation in Wanda’s voice when she talks about Rio moving to her new location.
“She seemed happy in this job though and it was a good balance for her other job. She felt like she could help like she could be looked on in a favorable light rather than be seen as this dark and evil thing that everyone hates,” she explains while dipping her French fries into some sauce.
“And every once in a while, I helped her out with her…” looking to Nicky for a moment, then to Agatha “Her quarterly needs.” Agatha’s mouth went slack at this reveal.
“So you got upset that I had a single night of fun with her while you’ve been letting her…” Agatha starts while reaching over to place her hands over Nicky’s ears. He continues eating as if he were used to this happening. “Rut into you every three months? Are you that jealous that we had a little fun?”
Wanda places her fry in her mouth as she thinks, hoping the chewing would last long enough to think of an excuse.
It didn’t.
“No, I was jealous because the two women that I have had feelings for for years were in bed together. One of those women refuses to bed unless it’s necessary, and yet she was there with you all night.” Brushing some of her hair behind her shoulder so it doesn’t fall in her food.
“I had tried for years to get her to care enough about me to consider me but all I get are the nights that she has to have with someone. She chose to take you. She chose to be with you. She chose to stay in bed with you. Did she tell you that she can’t sleep? So she stayed there with you all night when I can’t get her to stay for ten minutes after.” The tone turns to one of hurt as she continues.
“And you, I can’t even get you to talk about what we once were without you pulling away and acting like you’re disgusted by the very thought of us being together in some way other than physical. You know that thing you did to Rio, pushing her away with harsh words? You do that to everyone, Agatha.” A long breath is taken into the red witch, then exhaled slowly. She was attempting to calm her nerves, but it was hard with how hurt she felt.
“I have been acting protective because I don’t want you to fall for the face that will eventually be there to rip away everything you’ve ever loved. She cares deeply, but she will never stop doing her job.” Bloodshot eyes looking up into Agatha’s “And she doesn’t make exceptions just because she cares about you.”.
Irritation bubbles up in Agatha’s belly as she thinks about everything she’s learned so far. She had been having dinner with Death herself and allowed the woman near Nicky and their home. She had allowed death in through their front door, and yet there was a part of her that didn’t want to think of stopping whatever was happening between them.
There was this small voice inside the spirit witch that didn’t want to lose what was being built between her and Rio.
“I can’t explain what’s going on between us yet, but I know there’s something there that’s deeper than a normal connection. I can’t ignore something like this. She’s the only person able to pick up my scents when I’m controlling them. I have to understand why.” She attempts to put reason behind her actions, hoping it would convince her friend to not stick her nose further into the relationship.
Wanda simply shakes her head, “Okay, have it your way Agatha, but know I will be there when this all comes crashing down.” Taking another French fry into her mouth Agatha removes her hands from Nicky’s ears.
Chapter 11: One more, Bartender
Chapter Text
The smell of cigarettes and sweat fills the air of the cheap bar Rio finds herself in. Though in comparison to her previous outfits of suits, she looks like she belongs in her blue jeans and button-up plaid shirt. The green witch has chosen to drink her watered-down tap beer at the bar, watching the football game on the wall.
The Omega bartender bats her eyelashes at Rio, putting off a scent to show she is attempting to attract the Alpha's attention. Rio smirked when she picked up the scent of honey and vanilla, carried to her nose in a basket of lust. Her eyes lowered to her drink. "Hey there, my shift is over in ten minutes if you wanna head back to my place. I can't imagine that an Alpha like you comes to a bar alone just to drink piss beer."
Rio never looks up but can see the plump red lips of the waitress as she speaks, noticing the way her gapped front teeth bite into her bottom lip. A flash of a vision comes across her mind.
Teeth biting at a bottom lip, but this mouth was wider, the teeth straighter and the little giggle coming from the owner of it was undoubtedly Agatha's. The vision won't let Rio look anywhere else, but she can tell that the spirit witch is younger and being thrust into roughly. The white pillow behind her head was one of a hotel bed.
Rio shakes her head to rid herself of the vision that feels too much like a memory as she sips at her beer again. "I'm not interested, thanks though." a short rejection that the bartender doesn't seem to accept. A pale hand reaches across the bar in an attempt to touch Rio's hand as the bartender tries again "Come on, honey. Have a little fu-" her sentence is cut off when someone sits next to Rio.
The Omega bartender stops allowing her scent to flow freely when the beta comes up next to Rio, sitting a little too close with a kind smile on her face. "Could you get me a drink, sweetheart? Just a glass of whiskey, if you wouldn't mind." the voice was undeniably Wanda's, Rio finally looked up from her drink to see bright green eyes looking back at her.
"You always did have a thing for cheap bars in the middle of nowhere. It was harder to find you this time, with all the idiot's scents and thoughts muddling the area." tilting her head to look back at the bartender who hadn't moved yet. "A drink... please" her eyes glowing a bright red at the Omega.
The bartender's eyes glow red as well and her posture straightens up and she walks away. Rio watches the woman leave, scoffing at the Scarlet Witch's antics. “You know, when you force people away from me, it only makes you look silly.” Rio’s comment is meant as a joke but still pulls down at the corners of Wanda’s lips.
“And me finding you in bed with someone else makes you look like a dog.” Her words doing their job of biting back at the other witch. Rio rolls her eyes, smirking at the situation she seems to have gotten herself into.
“Not when we aren’t in a relationship, Wanda. We are bedmates during a time of need.” Finishing off her beer as Wanda’s ordered drink arrives. “Another” Rio orders, tipping her bottle toward the bartender. A simple nod this time instead of flirtation is all that’s given.
In a short time, another beer is slid to the green witch, the cap gone, and a napkin wrapped around the neck. Rio takes it in hand, sipping at it before speaking. "We look like the stereotypical lesbian exs that meet up at a bar to talk things out," Rio mentions as she chuckles.
"We've never even dated. We barely have an arrangement as it is, we're just two people that need to get off every once in a while." Wanda's words ring colder than the ice she spins around in her whiskey glass before taking a sip. Rio's face changes to one of upset, turning to face the woman she's speaking to so she has a full view of her.
"Don't pretend that I didn't get you through every hardship of your life. Like I didn't come to you when you called for me. I care about you so don't downplay what we are to one another." her nose scrunching up like she was smelling something terrible as brown eyes searched over her gentle-looking face. Gripping the bottle in her hand far too hard, lightly scraping the bottom of it against the wooden bar.
"And what are we to one another, Rio? You helped me through everything, of course, but you also ended up taking everything I ever loved away. You can't sit here and throw one side of this in my face when you taking away my brother and trying to take my boys lies right behind your words." now turning to face Rio so that they're looking face to face. "I begged you to stay with me so many times and you still left. Then you took. Then left once more." her kind face looked completely different.
The furrow in Wanda's brow acted like a crack in her mask, showing that she had emotions other than that of a caring woman. She had hurt and hatred in her that was hard to see behind the cloak she applied.
Rio inhaled deeply, filling her lungs unnecessarily, breath hissing through her teeth before she slowly blew the air back out in a heavy sigh. "Okay, I'm sorry. You're right about this." she starts, "But we're at least friends. You can't say that we aren't friends just because we have a history that's less than favorable." trying to compromise with the woman standing in front of her.
Rio can smell the rage coming off of Wanda growing the more that she listens to her speak. "What do you mean friends? When's the last time we spent any kind of time together other than fucking? When's the last time we had a real conversation without you needing to leave?" The upset was now clear on the redhead's face, a hint of red tinting her cheeks as she released the anger she'd been holding onto.
"Wanda, I left because you needed to find you. You needed to be your own person rather than the girl stuck fawning over the Alpha. I was watching you tear yourself to pieces because you couldn't be the Omega I needed. You were molding yourself, trying to fit into this role of housewife and mother when I didn't need that from you." again trying to explain her reasons for leaving her friend behind so many times.
"No!" She yells out, red magic swirling around both women as a whispy crimson crown sets itself atop Wanda's head. "You left because you had other things you wanted." the rage building as if Wanda was upset about something more than Rio not being there for her. Like she knew something Rio, the nearly all-knowing, didn't. Rio's brows furrow at this realization, taking a step forward in an attempt to place a hand on Wanda's shoulder.
Wanda pulled back, bumping into the person who had been sitting next to her at the bar. The patron stands from his chair with a wobble, due to both his drunken state and the startle Wanda's magic caused. "H-hey! What's your fuckin' problem?!" Grabbing Wanda by the arm to yank her closer, obviously not understanding the danger he's clearly in.
The grip on her arm was tight, her magic flaring chaoticly as she tried to pull her arm free of the drunk man. Panic sets into her bones because she doesn't want to harm the drunken man but he's hurting her. "I'll go, just let me leave." pleaded with the man to the best of her ability in her panicked state. She was just about to give him a short blast when a fist connected with the man's face.
"REALLY?! I couldn't get ONE night without this shit turning into some lesbian hero stereotype!?" Rio yells out before stepping over the man, who has released Wanda's arm and is now on the ground. The man holds his nose as it dribbles blood down his chin, looking up at Rio in horror. "You bitch, you hit me!"
Rio lets out a high-pitched cackle as if she were a mad woman about to go on a rampage. "You think I'm the bitch?? Wrong, buddy. YOU'RE the bitch, and I'm about to show you just how much of a bitch you are in front of everyone here." her pheromones fall from her body like a wave of fog covering the ground. The scent fills the room and instantly over half of the patrons are on the floor, kneeling, or covering their faces as they struggle to stay upright.
Wanda, shockingly, isn't affected by the way Rio is ruining the air around them with the scent of Titan Arum. She grabs Rio's hand and pulls at her "Come on, before it gets worse." turning to leave the bar. Rio's a statue until she feels the tug at her hand, letting it move her towards the door with Wanda. She didn't peel her eyes away from the man on the floor until she ran into Wanda’s back.
The Scarlet Witch stands there with two officers of the law standing in front of her. "Oh, well..." looking back at Rio like she's hoping the all-powerful entity will have a way out for them, only to find her with her free hand up in the air, palms facing out. "I surrender." Dread fills Wanda "This is what I get for depending on you." she murmurs to the woman while turning back to look at the officers. "I can explain." she tries as one of them pulls out a pair of cuffs.
"You have the right to remain silent." the officer starts while taking hold of Wanda's wrist.
"Fuck" is all she can manage to get out.
-------------------
"You realize that this could have been avoided, right?" Wanda says, sitting on one of the many benches in the drunk tank cell that holds her, Rio, and two others in it.
"It could have been, but then I would have to deal with the backlash. I live here now, I can't just run from the cops like I used to." Rio explains.
"No, I mean this situation with you and Agatha. This could have been avoided if you could just keep your prick in your pants." looking up from her hands to meet Rio's gaze. "Was I not satisfying your needs?" the other two in the cell move to the furthest seats they can after hearing this from Wanda, not wanting to be in whatever spat was about to happen. "You need to stop this thing with her, you need to keep things professional and stop with the outside-of-work interactions with Agatha. This isn't healthy for your work or social life."
"It's none of your business what I do with my time outside of work, and you did your part just fine. Just because you're my rut partner sometimes doesn't mean you have a right to control who else I spend my time with. If I want to fuck other people, I will." her words felt final in her drunken head, but harsh once left her lips.
"Who said I cared about who you slept with? I just don't think Nicky should be around you. Agatha has lost enough, she doesn't need to lose her son too." the words that come from the redhead sting Rio, but she accepts that after what happened with her boys, she can see the reason she worries.
"Do you think I just go around killing kids? I never once harmed yours." Rio says as she stands up from the bench that she had been sitting at, right across from Wanda. Her stride was slow, but her steps were sure as she made her way to stand in front of the other witch. Wanda might have been tipsy, but Rio was definitely drunk and it showed in the way she leaned against the bars behind Wanda. She was standing too close to someone she was arguing with. The Scarlet Witch has to crane her neck to look up at Death.
A breath is sucked in through her teeth before she says, "I think you know more about Agatha than you're leading on. I think you know who the father of her child is and I think you're trying to keep me from finding out." Rio accuses the woman she looks down at.
Wanda jumps up from her seat, ramming the top of her head into the front of Rio’s face. The two connect with a nasty cracking sound and a yelp and with that Rio knows her nose has been broken with the contact. The raven-haired woman puts a hand over her face to check if she’s bleeding.
“You’ve done enough already, just stay away from Agatha and Nicky and things can go back to the way they were.” Wanda’s voice hardened with a protective tone as she stepped closer to Rio who had stumbled back in the surprise attack. “And if I knew who Nicky’s father was they would be here.” Rio could feel deception in Wanda’s words, but couldn’t tell what the deception was.
Rio’s eyes darken as she says “Are you wanting things to go back for them or are you protecting your access to the Darkhold?” The accusation coming from Rio doesn’t surprise Wanda based on her lack of reaction. “It wasn’t hard to feel something like that sitting under the house. Like a rotten egg, you can smell it through the whole house, even if you can’t see it.”
“This has little to do with a he damned book.” Wanda defends herself “And even if it did, there’s more to this than that.” Watching Rio look into her bloodied hand with curious eyes. “And this is about you threatening my family,” Wanda admits.
“After everything that has happened with Vision and the boys, Agatha has given me a home again. She helped me feel like a mother again. I won’t lose that just because you think you have some kind of connection with her!” finally getting to the point of yelling at Rio when she hears the opening of the cell door.
"So this is what happens when I leave you two alone? You get in bar fights, get thrown in jail and once again speak of me like I'm some kind of prize to be won?" Agatha says with a scoff "If you're trying to flatter a girl, you're doing a shit job at it."
Chapter 12: Don't Make me Come Back There
Chapter Text
Chap 12
Agatha looks in the rearview mirror, glaring at the woman sitting in the backseat of her car. "I can't believe it. I leave either of you alone for even a night and you cause a damned bar fight." her nose scrunching up in the mirror at them. The two in the back sit quietly, allowing the Omega in the front seat to chew into them without interruption. Both looked dejected and Rio sitting with a rag-wrapped ice bag on her nose, blood staining the undershirt she had on under her plaid shirt that now sits unbuttoned and half opened. "And to add to it, I come to bail you out and you are now BOTH acting like assholes."
She turns sharply around a corner that leads to her house, "And I hope you both have tickets on your cars at that fucking bar. Or someone's spray-painted 'ASSHAT' on them." looking back once more as she drives down the residential street leading to her house. "And YOU," she says while looking at Wanda "I think you need to clear some shit up because based on what you said in that cell I'm pretty sure you've got some shit twisted." the purple witch says with a hint of venom in her voice.
Wanda rubs her forehead with the palm of her hand and then looks between Rio and Agatha. "When I said I didn't want you to break up my family... I was referring to my time with Nicky." her words came out reluctantly but came out nonetheless. "After my boys were taken." Rio's eyes dart towards Wanda. The Scarlet Witch realizes the words that had come from her lips and corrects herself "When my boys died... I had nothing left. I couldn't handle the reality of not having someone to love anymore, so when I came back to see Agatha she said she needed help with Nicky anyway."
Wanda's green eyes lifted up to look at Agatha through the mirror "Platonicly co-parenting him. I needed a child to look over and Agatha needed someone to help her when she got more busy." clearing up the sudden talk of breaking up families.
"And you think I'm the one who's going to break up your time with Nicholas? I've only met him once, I don't even know the boy." Rio states, confused about why Wanda would be worried about this. "And I've only known Agatha for a short while as well, I didn't even have long-term on the mind." pulling the rag away from her face to check if she was still bleeding. Yup, still blood. Placing it back in place with a hiss of breath between her teeth.
"And even if we did get serious." Agatha starts from the front seat. "It's not like I would ever stop you from seeing Nicky. He's your family and taking that away from either of you isn't something I had ever planned on." her eyes softened at the redhead before looking to Rio "And YOU." now getting to the green witch who thought she might be off the hook.
"What we do with the Darkhold is none of your business, I don't care what kind of entity you are." Rio's eyes go wide as she realizes that Agatha knows who, rather, what she is. "And if Wanda knew who Nicky's father was or didn't wouldn't matter because the mother fucker isn't here." her crass language made Rio smirk behind her bloodied towel. "Stop smiling." Agatha bites out at her, making her turn her head away to look out the window.
They pull into the driveway, Agatha throwing the car in park before clicking the lock button on her door. With all three of them locked inside she turns around in her chair to look both women in the eye now. First to Wanda "Stop acting like an asshole. I love you, but if I want to start looking for a partner, that's my business. Get over it. We are done and we have been for years." the Scarlet Witch's head plops back against the seat she's in as she murmurs "Just as expected."
Agatha then looks to Rio, pointing a finger at her "And I never said this was something serious. I don't know what have you thinking you have any kind of say in my life, but I do think it's time to have a little talk about what happened." looking to Wanda "Something that would have happened that morning but we were interrupted. Please knock next time." then looks back to Rio "So stop speaking like you have rule over the things that happen in my life just because you scented me. I am my own woman, living my own life, with my own choices that I make." Rio just sits there giving Agatha a confused look and hissing in pain again as she tries to crinkle her nose up at the woman. A slight nod is all she gives the woman.
Agatha looks between the two in the back seat letting out a long sigh "Do you two think you can get along now?"
Wanda and Rio look at one another and then to Agatha. A unison nod is given while Wanda says "Yes."
"Good, now get the fuck out of my car, you both stink." unlocking the doors and getting out herself.
Wanda and Rio stay where they are for a minute refusing to look at one another, but Rio is the first to speak. "I'm sorry for all the pain I've caused you. I've done my best to take care of you the ways that I know how to, but it's clear that it hasn't been enough." pulling the ice pack away from her nose, she finally looked at Wanda who was still looking at the seat in front of her. "And as you can see, this situation between Agatha and I might not even make it past the day." her voice holding pain.
"But no matter what happens, I'd never be the one to cause distance between you and those you love," she admits, Wanda finally looking at her. "So I'm sorry for everything I've done to make your life more difficult, Wanda." she finishes as she looks her friend's face over.
"And I'm sorry for everything I've done." not getting into specifics, but she knew at the back of her mind that something was going to slip sooner or later. "Rio, there's something that I think we need to talk about." worry weighing heavy on the woman's shoulders. "I've done something that I don't know if you'll-" her words were cut off by a hard rasping on the window. Wanda looks out to see Agatha, "Impatient as always." she says before looking back to Rio "We can talk later, it's not that important" losing her nerve to speak as she opens the door and exits the car.
------------
Wanda had flown home, having not taken a car to the bar she was free from having to retrieve a vehicle, and Rio entered Agatha's home. The green witch turns to close the front door behind her, pressing her forehead to the cool wood of it for a fraction of a second before straightening back up. She turns to walk further into the house and is met with lips crashing against hers. A muffled sound of surprise and pain vibrates her lips against Agatha's as the spirit witch's hands move to pull the plaid shirt off of the drunken woman.
Rio stumbles back, hitting her shoulders against the door behind her as Agatha assaults her lips with a shocking amount of vigor. She doesn't stop the brunette from undressing her, but she does place her hands on her shoulders to give her a little push. While she seems unstoppable in her advances, she does stop when she feels resistance from the other witch. "What? What's wrong?" She asks Rio like she hadn't just been yelling at her that same morning.
"I'm sorry, I'm a little confused. Are you needing more to hold over my head so I don't spill your secrets?" the question sounded more like she simply needed clarification.
"What? Oh, stop." The purple witch acted as if her harsh words before had meant nothing "You know people just say things sometimes in the heat of emotions. I'm not going to hold this above you." she says as she takes a step forward once more in an attempt to reconnect their lips once more. Rio steps to the side and shakes her head "What do you mean people just say things?" her brows pinching together into a furrow as brown eyes connect with blue.
She stops her advances, feeling like she has at least a little explaining to do. "I have a hard time getting close to people, especially getting close enough to be physical, so I push them away by saying shitty things." looking away with her arms folded over her chest. "Now that it's out, can we please move on from this?"
Examining the woman's body language, Rio can tell she's at least being honest about her red flags. "For now, but if it happens again we will be having a real talk about it."
Agatha rolled her eyes, tossing her hands up a bit then letting them drop to slap her thighs like a teen that had just been given a warning and told they'd be grounded the next time the bad act happened. "Yeah, okay." still refusing to look Rio in the face.
Rio lets out a soft chuckle, shaking her head, thinking about what she was getting herself into before closing the space between them with a step. Rio's hands cup Agatha's face to bring their lips together, the warmth of the touch causing her to hum. She enjoyed her time with Agatha very much and the way the spirit witch's hand rubbed at the front of her jeans let her know that she wanted it as well.
The Alpha couldn't help the gasp that managed to escape her lips when her omega rubbed her though roughly over where she could feel the length trapped behind her denim jeans getting harder. Their lips break apart in a breathy pause, both are panting. They hadn't realized just how intense the kissing had gotten Rio looked into Agatha's eyes as she asked. "So what is this?"
Agatha smirks at the question, her lips pulling back, showing her canines like she were an animal threatening a small animal, letting it know that she had it in her trap now. Rio had seen this grin many times in her days on this earth and each time the one that wore the smile was trouble. The thrill of this little game she knew had just been started was going to be dangerous and terrible; everything in Rio telling her this was a terrible idea.
"This," making quick work of the button on Rio's pants as she speaks. "isn't something that needs to be defined." slowly unzipped the offending jeans that confined the aching stiffness that Agatha clearly had her sights set on. "Why don't we just enjoy it, instead of demanding a definition to everything." her nose scrunching up as she speaks, slipping her hand into the front of Rio's pants.
"Fuck~" she exclaims, her hips jutting forward as if they wanted, no... NEEDED the touch coming from the woman in front of her. This felt more like an addiction than a simple action of getting her meat stroked. "Alright, Agatha. Let's leave it as it is, but I want some kind of definition within the next six months. If you can't give me that," her hand snaking to the back of Agatha's head, fingers entangling in dark, wavey hair. "Then this is cut off."
Rio's grip tightens in Agatha's hair, eliciting a moan from Omega that could only be described as desperate. "okay" she murmurs while her hand begins a stroking motion in Rio's pants. "And you'll stop getting into bar fights and fighting with Wanda. I don't want any more broken noses and trips to the local jail. Get along." she demands.
"Sure thing" Gripping Agatha's hair harder. "Now know your place." her voice demanding and domineering.
Chapter 13: Sweat
Notes:
I do want to express how sorry I am for things that keep happening to these chapters. Last night a drink was spilled on my computer and I wasn't able to post anything. I rewrote most of the chapter on my phone and here we have it.
I'll try to avoid crossing the paths of any cats or breaking mirrors so that maybe we can have a chapter that's on time next week.
Thank you all for your love and support!
Chapter Text
A low hum sets in Rio's throat as she enters the floor she now manages, a few eyes lift to look at her but most stay busy at their desks. It had been an eventful but short weekend after she had gotten her tongue lashings from Agatha about how unattractive it was to be playing the possessive game she had been with Wanda. They had a few makeout sessions ending in Agatha's lips wrapped tightly around her member until they had both agreed Rio would never leave if she didn't then.
The Alpha wore a forest green blazer with a silky silver shirt underneath, unbuttoned enough to see the hint of a lacy black bra under if she were to bend forward. Dark sunglasses cover her eyes enough so no one can tell she's looking into Agatha's office to see if she has made it in yet. Of course, her office was empty, while attempting to look like the perfect employee ready for all leadership she chose every day to be late to work. A shake of Rio's head at the way Agatha still tried to act like some kind of off-brand Alpha, even while at her house, and now she's skipping out on morning meetings.
As Rio enters her office she notices that her plants had been taken care of and set up in the most aesthetically pleasing arrangements after she had left on Friday. "Alice" she calls, her tone smooth and even. The smaller woman rounded the corner as if she had been waiting there for the Alpha to call her in. "Yes? Is there something I can do for you, boss?" She wore a button-up shirt and dress pants in what seemed to be her signature colors, black and red.
"Are you the one who rearranged my flowers? They look wonderful." She makes her way towards a bushy-looking China Doll on a shelf, just in the indirect light of the window.
"N-no, actually that was our designer, Jen." The name caught Rio's ear, and she realized that she had been spoken of by Agatha's boy. "Jen. Is being a designer her full-time job?" The questions don't seem to confuse or raise any suspicions with Alice, so she answers.
"No, she takes care of Agatha's son sometimes. Agatha's the one that helped her get the job here as a designer. She said she felt she needed to after her holistic business went under because they were found out for using non-organic products." Simply allowing every part of Jen's business out into the air for Rio was like she was compelled to. "And... you know... they're friends." A soft press of her finger is given to the soil holding her plant before she turns to look at Alice. The shorter woman startles a small amount and then straightens up.
"Friends," Rio repeats after Alice, pausing to look around at the surrounding plants from where she stands.
"Wonderful, please let her know I appreciate the care and would appreciate it if she continued if I'm not in the office," she states while walking to her desk.
"Speaking of Agatha," removing her sunglasses so Alice can see her eyes when she asks her "Where is she?" the honey brown eyes peering down into the dark pools that are Alice's eyes.
The young woman knew how to answer the question but found herself choked up by the stare down at her. "She's, uhm, she's on her way in. Agatha likes to come in a little later on Mondays. She says the best way to come into work on a Monday morning is late." averting her eyes once the answer was out. She had never held eye contact like that with an Alpha before and she can see now why most don't. She felt like her skin had ice under it, stabbing out in thin shards.
"I see, she’s not very professional when it comes to punctuality." Rio comments, watching the way Alice looks away. The Alpha looks at her computer screen to break the tension that has been building. “Please let her know I’d like will speak to her once she’s in,” Rio says, seemingly uninterested in furthering the conversation.
Alice then turns to leave, stopping to turn back around with her mouth opening and closing like she wanted to say something but couldn’t get it out. Rio looks up, a confused expression moving across her face until Alice finally says something. “No, never mind” turning away for a final time to rush out of the Alpha’s office.
“Interesting” Rio states, not having caught a scent from the other woman other than nervousness. It stuck to her tongue like sour candy, making her feel like she needed to rub the top of her tongue against the roof of her mouth.
——
An hour and a half passes by the time Agatha saunters into work with a coffee in one hand and her work bag in her other. Just as she reaches her office door she hears her name. “Ms.Harkness!” Alice calls, making her way across the very office space she had just yelled in. “Agatha, Ms.Vidal would like to see you in her office.” Smiling up at Agatha before realizing that the woman was glaring down at her.
“And what,” waggling her fingers at Alice “might the boss want from me?” Taking a sip from her cup as she waits for Alice to answer. Before Alice can answer, a voice can be heard from Rio's office.
"Agatha, I'd like to speak with you about your tardiness." is called out without Rio standing from her desk. She might not have been able to see Agatha, but she had a strange feeling the woman was rolling her eyes.
Just as the thought sits in the floor manager's head, Alice watches the action play out in front of her in real-time. Agatha rolls her eyes, bumps past Alice, and makes her way into the neighboring office. Agatha looks around the office as she places her hand on the door handle, wondering how many were going to start rumors about rivaling Alphas in the office because of these little talks in Rio's office that seemed to keep happening.
As soon as she opens the door she can see the shitty grin on Rio's face, "Please close the door on your way in, Ms.Harkness." the green witch says as she looks the omega-in-hiding up and down. Before Agatha can say something snarky in return, she realizes she's doing exactly as Rio had asked. Anger bubbled up in her as she turned to look at the woman still sitting at her desk.
"Thank you, I'm glad to see you're still following orders the way I taught you over this past weekend." her smooth, professional voice, brought memories of her murmuring filthy things to Agatha as she mindlessly sucked on anything she could get her mouth on.
"I don't think that's an appropriate thing to say to someone who you're the senior to in this company." Agatha retorts, trying to get some type of upper hand in this situation. She had been overpowered by this woman many times over the weekend when they were in the safety of her home, but now they were at work. This was the one place Agatha thought she'd be able to keep control over her needs and wants.
That was until she felt the slick dripping from her sex to ruin the inside of her panties. It didn't take Rio but a moment to realize what was happening in front of her. She might not have been a mind reader, but she was intuitive enough to be able to know when someone was turned on less than six feet from her.
"And I don't think you should be scenting that heavily when you're in the presence of said senior." the woman says as she stands from her desk. "So, are you always this late on the first day of the week?" tilting her head ever so slightly while she rounds her desk to sit at the corner of it, leaning so she's still able to look at Agatha.
"Yes, I make my own hours. As long as the job's done it shouldn't matter how late I come in." stepping towards the woman she was speaking to. "Did you not make your first day in the middle of the week rather than on a Monday? No one likes Mondays." the closer she gets to Rio, the more she can pick up the scent of sweat under a body wash.
"Why were you sweating?" Rio asks outright, not bothering to keep her questions to herself. The look Agatha gives her is close to one of victory, but she chooses to drag out the game a little longer.
"I always get a little sweaty before work on Mondays, it's the reason I come in late. Why do you ask?" a playfulness in her voice that Rio's able to pick up on, realizing she's being toyed with.
"Because I prefer for my co-workers to not stink when approaching me." sucking a breath in between her teeth before continuing. "Perhaps if I knew the reason you were coming into work smelling of a fresh shower after a sweat I might be more lenient with my standards." Leaning further to give only a short breathes distance between the two.
"What if I don't feel like telling you?" Agatha retorts.
"What if I said I don't give a damn?" Rio's voice drops lower, a serious look takes over her previously relaxed expression. "I want to know why you're coming in late and what's causing it, so tell me."
A shiver runs down Agatha's spine due to how demanding and pushy Rio was being with her. "I guess I don't have a choice but to tell you." pressing herself flush against the Alpha as she speaks. "I go to the gym on the second floor of the building. I like to get a little gym time in a few times a week before coming in, it helps relieve some stress." the siphon explains while placing a hand on Rio's muscled stomach, letting it slowly travel downward until she reaches the woman's black leather belt.
"Does me relieving stress with anyone but you bother you that much, boss lady?" speaking so close to the green witch's lips that they brush against one another as Agatha reaches below the belt to grip at Rio's crotch. The raven-haired woman grunts but doesn't push her away.
"Not at all. I believe it's important to keep a healthy mind and body." wrapping her hand around Agatha's wrist to keep her in place while she ruts into it "But if you really want to test this little theory of yours out, be my guest. I'll warn that it might not end the way you expect." finally letting go of her associate's wrist by shoving it away.
"Now get back to your work. If you say you can get all of today's work done before it's time to leave, prove it. I expect to be walked to my car. Oh, and you might want to change, even with your spell active others will be able to smell how wet you are when coming out of my office." smirking at a now flabbergast Agatha as she stood and walked back behind her desk.
Agatha can't argue with the woman she has just been touching. Hell, she can't even form a comeback at the woman with how turned on she was. The most she can give her without losing her dignity is a short "Whatever" as she leaves the office with her tail between her legs.
Chapter 14: The Gym
Chapter Text
As Rio settles back into her desk, she can't help but think about how sweet it felt to win against the infamasly-known-for-turning-people-down Agatha Harkness. Yes, she had looked through her file before transfering to this office, wondering who could have been the one to have over looked all the interactions between her assosiates that were clearly HR violations. It turned out that she wasn't social at all, any time she was asked out she would turn them away, and she hadn't dated anyone at all in the time that anyone had known her.
The only hint of a flirtation was with a woman at the gym she went to three times a week. Oh, Rio had an idea as to why the omega in hiding was trying so hard to cover up a scent after the gym and she wasn't shocked when the brunette lied about it. "To expect a straight answer out of that woman is a pipe dream." she says outloud to her empty office. The plants didn't answer her, but she still feels satisfied with the silence of the room she's in.
"I suppose it's time to get to work." taking hold of each side of her suit jacket to button shut as she stands from her desk. Rio brushes a single hand over the front of her outfit to smooth out any possible lines that had been presed while she sat, then heads to leave her office. She doesn't stop at Agatha's door when going to the elevator, but she can tell just by the scent coming from her door frame that the woman had been watching her. Rio finally looks back to the office occupied by the siphon witch, but only once she's in the elevator and the doors are closing.
Agatha's heart pouds relentlessly in her chest. The way the Alpha walks away, a slight swirve to her hips, makes the omega salivate. She didn't know where the raven-haired woman was headed but she knew she wanted to join her. "Excuse me, Ms. Harkness?" The voice from her computer brings her attention back to the virtual meeting she was in.
"Yes? What was it you were saying?" her attention only half back on the meeting as she looks back up to the elevator longingly.
"Is there something else you need to attened to? You seem a bit distracted." The voice from her speakers comes through again, causing Agatha to look back down to the screen. She knew she needed to be in this meeting but something was pulling at her to follow her new boss to wherever it was she was going.
"N-no, I'm fine. Just thought I saw something in the office, I was mistaken." attempting to turn her attention back to the meeting. "Anyway, where were we? Oh! So for the reports we had been doing for-" she was speaking, but her mind wanders to leave her meeting without much entusiasm or charisma. Instead she was thinking about where the Alpha could be headed off to. Once the meeting was over and the idle chat had stopped, Agatha realizes that she's been thinking about Rio the entire time she's been away from the office.
"What the fuck!" she yells out as the reality of her wanting to follow Rio around like a lost puppy dawns on her. "Are you fucking kidding me?" Her yelling, likely heard through the entire office, startles Alice as she had just been about to walk into the siphon's office. "Ma'am?" Agatha looking up from her computer, fuming. "What?!" Yelling out at her. The realization of her current state and how startling it likely was has Agatha breathing in and out a few times before repeating herself. "What do you need?"
Alice looks around the office, wondering what the woman had been yelling about. "I just wanted to let you know that you have another meeting in thirty minutes. Would you like me to bring you something to eat today? It doesn't look like the boss is here to take you out for lunch today." she states, spiking Agatha's frustration once more. "She doesn't have to take me to lunch for me to eat.” She gives a bit of a snap at the protection witch.
Alice puts her hands up in defense and walks out to get the irritated witch something to eat. Agatha spends her time between her meeting thinking about what Rio could be doing and what she could be doing.
—————
Rio was on a mission, not particularly work related, but she was told of the gym so why not go check it out? After hearing about how often Agatha actually went and the little fling she had there, why not check out where her Omega had been spending her time.
Well.
Not HER Omega.
"Either way" she says outloud, away from her thoughts as if she were shunning them to the back of her mind. Once she had made it to the second floor, the manager takes a look around to find the woman that had been discribed in Agatha's file. She knew the woman was pretending to be an Alpha, but getting herself in trouble with an Omega in a gym seemed like more than just a setup. It seemed like her and this girl might actually have something going on and Rio was going to find out about it.
Once she enters the gym she realizes the difference between this gym and otheres. This was an Alpha's gym. Her head shakes a bit as she realizes what this implies. All the workers are Omega's and all the workers are either dedicated to one or two Alphas, or there to be visual stimulation for the Alphas.
"Welcome." the scent of a needy Omega hits Rio like a ton of bricks. She tries to hide the way her breathing has changed, more ragged with so many Omega's potting off heavy scents. She could understand why, if anything's to motivate an Alpha to push harder that would be it.
Rio finally looks up to see who's speaking to her only to be faced with the discription of the woman Agatha had been caught having a fling with.
"Are you okay? I can get you something to drink if you need it. You seem to be a little stressed." The woman says, moving to press a hand against Rio's chest.
The green witch leans away from the approaching touch.
The shorter red head hums as she pulls her hand back. "I'm sorry, I should have asked before approaching like that." holding the offended hand in her other as if she were cradling it.
"No, I just wasn't exactly expecting it." If Agatha were to have gotten herself in touble here, that meant she must have been fucking this woman and gotten caught. "I came here to talk about lessons. I have a friend that comes here and she told me about someone she works out with." looking down at the nametage.
"And it seems as though I've found you" looking back into light blue eyes. "Natasha." speaking the name on the tag outloud.
-----
Nat couldn't figure out why, but this Alpha made her feel very uneasy. Like she had done something and now this Alpha was here to punish her. She'd felt this a few times but never had to worry. She was a trained assassin after all.
Her eyes scan up and down the well-dressed Alpha, tilting her head to the side "Are you looking to get started at the gym? If you're looking for a partner I'll find you one just as good as myself but I wont be able to take you on myself." pausing when she realizes that the Alpha had gone from a charming smile to a frown at the rejection. "Well, you see. I'm fully booked with others and don't have any spaces available." trying to defend herself without letting the witch speak.
"I was actually hoping to speak with you. We have a mutual friend that has been getting herself into trouble at work." the moment Rio talks about Agatha, Natasha knew this wouldn't be good.
"Oh, that was a little bit of a misunderstanding. There was a lot going on then and-" she's stopped from talking by a finger against her lips.
"Hush. I would like to speak privately."
Chapter 15: Do you Remember?
Chapter Text
Natasha sits across a large couch in the middle of a dimly lit room used, mostly, for private appointments with customers and their trainers. “You realize that you’re about to get the same reputation as Agatha if you shut that door, right?” The redhead says quietly as she watches Rio freeze her action to do just that. Only a moment passes before she finishes closing the door and then locks it.
“So you know who I was talking about.” Rio states as she turns to face the other woman in the room “And what gave me away?” A tilt of her head while the question leaves her lips. Rio was a bit shocked at how light this Omega’s scent was in comparison to what it was like out on the main floor of the gym. A short sniff of the air reveals the hint of false pheromones she hadn’t expected from an employee of an Alpha gym.
“I can smell her on you. I can smell her attraction to you on your clothes.” Looking the Alpha up and down before eyeing her crotch and pointing at it with a short nailed finger “specifically there” leaning her head back, hanging it off the back of the lavish sofa as she realized that her reputation was about to take another blow. “So let’s get to the point.” Looking too relaxed to be in a closed place with an Alpha that seemed worried about her interactions with their love interest.
“You’re observant. Did that come from the Red Room? Or does it come naturally?” Her questions sound like nothing coming from her lips, but the way Natasha darts up from the sofa and slides towards Rio says differently. Rio doesn’t bother turning around because she already knows that the woman is going to attack.
Natasha snakes her arm around the green witch's neck and places her in a chokehold, cutting off her air as she asks “WHO are you?” Tightening the restraining hold she has on Rio the Alpha turns her head to meet the eyes of her attacker, seemingly unaffected.
“I don’t think we’ve met before but I know all about you, Наталья Романова.” She says in what would appear to be a fluent-sounding pronunciation of her name. The shock on Natasha’s face turns to one of anger.
“Stop fucking with me and tell me how you know that name and how you know me.” Her voice lowered to a dangerous quiet a knife at Rio’s back now that Natasha knew that this woman knew far too much. Rio simply rolls her eyes.
“I’m someone who witnessed the bullshit you went through. Put the knife down, you can’t kill me.” Using her pheromones to calm the woman holding her in place. She didn’t expect the blade to press harder against her back in return for her efforts.
“If you knew so much about me, how didn’t you know that your pheromones won’t work on me.” The omega states while giving Rio a shove, putting distance between the two. The green witch stumbles forward but catches herself before becoming too caught off guard.
“I knew they’d taken your reproductive organs, I didn’t realize they trained you to be able to resist. I’m very impressed.” Standing up straight to look Natasha in the eyes. “So, if you’re this well-trained assassin, why do you work here and why are you getting particularly close to my associate when neither of you have anything to offer each other?”
A roll of Natasha’s eyes as she stays on her guard, but sits back in her seat, motioning to the chair across from her for Rio. “As I told you, it was a misunderstanding.” Crossing one leg over the other she sprawls out, appearing to relax while Rio can feel how uneasy she is. “She comes in to work out but doesn’t want others to bother her, so she started having me help her to keep others away while she blows off some steam. We went out for dinner to get to know one another and it was taken out of context.”
Rio comes to sit at the chair in front of the assassin, a smirk playing across her face like she knew more was going on. “And why does someone as talented as you work here? Especially with your…” pausing to suck air in through her teeth “condition.”
She’s much less stares at the green witch a moment before responding. “It’s a place to work where I’m not questioned about not having a scent or how I’m not bothered by all the Alphas trying to abuse their scent to fuck or manipulate me.” She says harshly towards Rio as if lumping her in with those she spoke of.
“So nothing is going on between the two of you?” Rio's eyes scan the woman up and down once more. She felt like she knew this woman, but couldn't put her finger on it just yet. "Nothing that could have caused someone to report you two?"
Natasha stands, clearly done with the conversation, when she walks past Rio to the door. "If you don't want the answers I have to give you, then go ask Agatha herself. I don't have time to keep speaking with you in this room; I have other customers." She begins to open the door, only to have a strong hand shut it.
"Stop, you're right. I believe you. Just be honest with me one more time." humming as she thinks of the proper way to put her thoughts into words. "Did you meet her before or after she had her son?"
The widow was a little confused by this question. She doesn't understand the importance of the timeline, but she answers this and hopes the woman will keep her word in making this the last question. "I knew her.." thinking back on the first time the two had met. She can't think of the exact moment she met Agatha "I don't really know. It's odd, but I just know we've been friends for a long time."
"I had a feeling," she says as she removes her hand from the door, allowing for the pair to exit. "I think we're done here. If you wouldn't mind opening the door, I'd like to leave now." Rio says like she hadn't been the one to close the door to begin with.
A scoff can be heard from Natasha as she opens the door, just to meet the blue eyes of Agatha, watching the two leave the same room. A room she knew very well.
"I think at least one of you owes me an explanation," she says through grit teeth.

Chapter Text
A mixture of moans filled the small space of the room Natasha and Rio had been in, but it was no longer the redhead and green witch. Rio’s hands are pressed tightly against Agatha’s sides, holding her in place against the wall behind her as her mouth travels up the omega’s neck.
“So… just talking… are you sure about that?” Agatha manages to get out through staggered breathing and breathy sighs. The siphon’s hands were already making a mess out of Rio’s hair which had once been clipped up into a bun. Teeth nip at the soft skin of her neck, pulling a shaky whimper from Agatha’s lips. “Fuck… stop touching me and answer my damn question.” Pulling the hair her hands were tangled in, Rio fought it for an instant before giving in the direction.
“Yes, Agatha, just talking.” Her answer was honest and serious, despite her lipstick smearing across her chin and Agatha's neck. "I don't have an interest in the woman, I wanted to know why you seemed to attempt to hide your aroused scent from me. It turns out... you're just extracting your scent oils to let her use."
Agatha's face didn't show any shock on it, instead, annoyance was painted over whatever had flashed into view for half of a second. "Yes. I extract my oils because she can't produce them. Now shut up and put your mouth to better use." the Omega demands while putting a hand on Rio's shoulder. There wasn't a lot of pressure put on the Alpha's shoulder, but enough to show that she wanted her on her knees.
Rio can't help the smirk that plays across her face once she takes a single knee in front of the Omega. Anyone else would have laughed at the sight of an Alpha kneeling to an Omega, but here Rio was, with all her power and a single hand had brought her to her knees. "Of course, I'll be sure to wow you with my performance," she says while unbuttoning the other woman's blazer pants.
Agatha couldn't believe that the request had been met with compliance. Her eyes widened for a moment when she saw how slowly and meticulously Rio was unzipping her pants. They turn to a more hooded gaze when Rio looks back up at her, brown eyes meeting green in a lustful look of understanding. The green witch keeps looking up at Agatha as if she were waiting on something, pulling at the Omega's pants much slower than she needs to like she was waiting to see if the siphon changed her mind.
"Go ahead... but... just your mouth... I don't... I'm not ready..." There was fear in her voice but it settled into a soft "Thank you" when Rio nodded her understanding to the woman above her.
No time is wasted as tongue meets soft cotton panties.
Rio presses her nose against the fabric as she plants her mouth directly onto Agatha's warm pussy. The taste of the Omega's wetness through the scent of laundry detergent was more intoxicating to the Alpha than she had expected. Brown eyes roll back under her eyelids as she inhales through the nose that is pressed so tightly against the mound above her lips.
"Fuck... Rio.." Agatha gasps out when she feels the Alpha's teeth scrap against her clit. Her hips jerk forward as her shoulders lean against the wall behind her, slightly spreading her legs to give the woman between them more room. She has had vaginal penetration since she had conceived Nicky, but not with an Alpha, and not with an Alpha that felt so... strong.
Agatha tentatively grinds her hips down, pressing her pussy more firmly against Rio's mouth. Her movements were accepted with a flat tongue pressed tightly against her soaked-covered sex. "R-Riooooo~" moaning out the Alpha's name as she starts a slow grind against the lapping she receives in response.
Rio's hands move up the Omega's legs after pulling her pants down to her ankles, silking smooth hands over lightly toned legs, dragging her dull nails against the back of Agatha's thighs. Shivers run but the siphon's body until it freezes when Rio's hands reach the inside of her thighs. Fear gripping the woman hard. "Wait.." she murmurs out, her legs threatening to clamp shut in an attempt to stop the traveling hands.
The single word does its job of stopping Rio's exploration, realizing this was where Agatha's comfort was limited. She pulls her hands away from in between her thighs and moves them to the outside of her thighs to slide up to her hips. The more Rio touches Agatha away from the area between her legs, the more relaxed she gets, sinking into the soft lapping of the tongue on her panties. "Thank you.." she murmurs as her eyes close and her head leans back.
Rio pushes her fingers into the waistband of Agatha's panties and waits to see if there will be a protest. When she gets neighter, she starts to slowly pull the small fabric down, leaning back to watch as the Omega's sex is revealed. A line of arousal connects the panties from the wet spot in them to where the wetness had come from. From the way she's angled, Rio can see Agatha's clit peeking out from under its hood and moving in to capture it.
A gasp echos through the mostly empty room when Agatha feels warm lips wrapped around her most sensitive of places, one of her hands moving to Rio's hair, pressing her head more firmly between her legs in an action she hadn't meant. "Don't stop... Rio.... keep going..." her breathing becoming more ragged, the panting leaving her lips laced in moans as the Alpha services her.
Rio is thrilled, the erection in her pants going mostly ignored other than the fact that with all her blood down there, she feels fuzzy while licking deeper between the purple witch's folds. When told not to stop, she showed that she had no intentions of doing so by placing a hand on the Omega's stomach to keep her in place while tilting her head back further to dip her tongue into the tight hole that had been dribbling wetness the entire time she had been in this position.
Agatha lets out a throaty moan, not caring if others could hear her when she says "I think you're the best boss I've ever had." soft, cocky chuckles turn into helpless whimpers when she feels the green witch's tongue dip into her. A rush of wetness dripped from her slicked cunt.
Rio groaned at the comment, realizing she was likely the biggest hypocrite of all time when it came to the reason she had been hired for this location, to begin with, but it didn't stop her from what she was doing with her mouth. She dips her tongue into the woman over and over, effectively fucking her with her human lengthed tongue until she gets tired of the ache in her jaw.
A little-known power of Lady Death is her ability to shape change, and Agatha learns this quickly when she has been grinding down against the shallow penetration of Rio's tongue to suddenly feel it reaching deeper. Slowly the tongue slips deeper and deeper into her vagina. 'This is... okay..' she thinks to herself as she slowly starts to pick up speed. "Oh... this is far more than okay. Fucking.. hells don't stop!" she moans out while feeling the wet pink muscle stretching her pleasantly.
Rio heard Agatha, not knowing about the internal thoughts, but knowing that this woman had just given her the okay to tongue fuck her with her extended tongue. The Alpha moves her arms behind Agatha's thighs and lifts her enough to be able to wrap her arms around and reach the woman's breast. While they were still clothed, she could feel the pebbled nipples poking through the fabric and into her hands while she kneads at the mounds.
"Yes~ Rrriiioooo~" Agatha moans out louder, slumping enough to put her full weight on Rio's shoulders, practically being held up by the woman while she feels the tongue inside of her thicken again, stretching her more to a place just on the edge of discomfort. "That- that's so good!" breathy moans spilling from her mouth mixed with a slue of "yesyesysesyesyes" while the siphon grins up against her Alpha's tongue.
Agatha feels the pressure of her orgasm building at a steady rate until the pressure from Rio's tongue is too much and spikes it, throwing her over the edge of the peak so that she is now tumbling into a mind-numbing orgasm "R-Rio!! My Alpha!!" she cries out as her hips buck uncontrollably against the woman between them.
Rio is pushed off balance for just a moment by the bucking before she recenters herself and doubles down on her tongue fucking. She fucks into the woman until her body is shaking from the over stimulation and she's pushing on the Alpha's forehead. "S-stop.. can't handle.. anymore." Agatha whimpers as they both slide down to the floor.
