The Moment Elysia Confess Her Love, War Wages On the Ship

Summary:

My name is Luo Ming, and I’m a transmigrator who came into this game world quite some time ago. Today marks the 1095th day of my tenure as the captain of Hyperion, despite the rising number of Valkyrie who are onboard on this ship of mine, till this very day, I remained single.

If I hadn't known beforehand that "Honkai Impact 3" was a Yuri-themed game, I'd definitely think that the Valkyries all have a liking for me.

However, with the arrival of Elysia on board, my single life has come to an end. With a girlfriend resembling a pink fairy, she flaunts herself to my subordinates. Strangely, I feel a chill down my spine, and when I look around, I notice what is happening.

Bronya, why are you raising the heavy cannon?

Seele, can you stop coming into my drems while holding your scythe?

Mei, can you please put down that knife and calm down first?

Kiana, for the love of god, put down that sword, I don’t like the way you are placing it around my neck.

This is the story of how a captain found out that, despite his original assumption, many of his Valkyrie aren’t actually into girls.

Chapter Text

Chapter 1: Does She Like Me?

"My past?"

A discordant voice echoed in the personnel department of the Hyperion.

Luo Ming nodded and shook the materials in his hand, labeled "Elysia."

As the captain, he personally tested the abilities of every Valkyrie that came aboard the ship. He often encountered such clueless women.

He had gotten used to it.

"I don't want to know everything about your past, I just want to have a slight understanding," Luo Ming emphasized, but the woman in front of him remained calm.

Elysia.

A recent addition to the ship, a beautiful young girl whose age was a secret, but probably not very old. She had rare elf ears and a faint natural fragrance all over her body, not like perfume, but more like a natural scent.

How did such a beautiful girl end up on the Hyperion?

Luo Ming couldn't help but feel a sense of melancholy.

He was a world traveler.

Transported to the world of Honkai, aboard the Hyperion that traveled between different worlds.

Regarding Honkai Impact 3rd and the Hyperion, his knowledge surpassed even that of diehard players. He had heard that "Honkai Impact 3rd" was a game focused on yuri relationships, where each beautiful girl had another as an official partner.

For example, Kiana and Raiden Mei, Bronya and Seele, they were all firmly established yuri pairs.

After years of work, Luo Ming's belief in this notion had only grown stronger. In his memory, the beautiful girls were often paired up, even when they barely knew each other.

It's ridiculous!

If he didn't know in advance that they were in yuri relationships, Luo Ming would have thought all these beautiful girls were interested in him!

So, he didn't hold much hope for the flower-like beauty, Elysia. He just wanted to quickly finish the process and continue recruiting new crew members for future work. Maybe he could even find the official partner of this beautiful girl!

So, Luo Ming asked once again.

Elysia smiled, radiating the purest charm. It was as if even the air had turned a light shade of pink in her presence.

She breathed evenly.

Unconsciously, Luo Ming's breathing became heavier. The Hyperion did have charming women, but even the elegant and mysterious Dark Rose knew to temper her beauty. How could she be as unrestrained as Elysia?

Such uninhibited radiance, wasn't she afraid of fading away?

After a while, Elysia finally spoke.

Her tone was light and airy, as if she was chewing on sweet and soft cotton candy. Her breath carried a sweet and gentle quality: "My past is a secret, you know. Right now, I just want to create a future with you."

Silence.

Silence reigned over the Hyperion tonight.

Unbeknownst to him, the dossier in Luo Ming's hand had been twisted into a spiral. He constantly reminded himself to stay calm, not to lose his direction over a mere gesture of goodwill.

Something like this had happened before.

When Fallen Rosemary came aboard, she was just as mysterious and elegant. The air around her was filled with a teasing scent. At first glance, Luo Ming's heart was captured, but then he realized that Fallen Rosemary was just quite a socialite.

He could easily approach within a meter of her, but when he was face-to-face, he couldn't take a single step closer.

Like two magnets with the same pole.

The South pole could only match with the North pole. Two South poles or two North poles could never come together.

The former Fallen Rosemary was like this, and perhaps the current pink fairy Miss Elysia was the same. Was she giving Luo Ming false hope?

How wicked.

Thinking up to this point, Luo Ming gently relaxed his hand muscles.

The crumpled papers stretched out with a faint rustling sound, just like the slight release of tension in Luo Ming's furrowed brows.

Why bother knocking on my heart again?

My soul has long turned into decayed wood, and there's no room for unnecessary emotions in this life anymore.

The personnel department was quiet, so quiet that it seemed one could hear the fall of a needle.

Elysia continued to prop her chin up with one hand, gazing at Luo Ming from a looking-up angle. However, she didn't appear vulnerable. She seemed to excel at this gesture, subtly bridging the distance between people.

Let's finish this process quickly.

Luo Ming felt like shouting for help and then running away.

But Elysia was just too beautiful, so beautiful that even all the flowers paled in comparison.

The most eye-catching was, of course, her elf ears.

Her pink hair wasn't as elegant as Miss Sakura's, but rather, it was wild and untamed. She had braided it beautifully and let it hang down her back. Oh... she was the kind of woman who would sit down and let her hair and cloak gather under her buttocks. He wondered how big her buttocks were...

Ahem, that's thinking too deeply.

Further down were her thigh-high boots, leaving a gap in the middle for her hot pants and the boots. Her thighs were plump, soft, long, and straight, just as fair as her skin and face. He hadn't noticed before, but Elysia's top had been tailored, exposing her waist boldly on both sides, and even her cute abs...

"I might get shy if you kept staring at me like that, you know."

Elysia suddenly stood up, leaning on the table with her chest resting on it. The angle was from below, an upward gaze that made her breathtakingly beautiful.

"Since a moment ago, Captain has been looking at every inch of my body, yet you've never dared to look into my eyes."

Her voice playfully rose at the end.

"I, Elysia, am a perfect beauty from head to toe. If there's any little corner of my body that Captain hasn't seen, I'd be sad, you know. Huh~ Now, let's keep this distance like lovers, look at me closely, and then tell me, are my eyes... beautiful?"

It wasn't just his breath; Luo Ming's heart seemed to have stopped beating.

He blankly nodded.

Elysia had long eyelashes, sapphire-like pupils, but the central part of her irises twinkled with a faint pink glow, like a peach heart.

Such an alluring girl, it would be such a waste if she were into girls as well!

Luo Ming sat down.

Gradually, his thoughts returned to his body, the instinctual tide subsided, and Luo Ming regained his composure.

He wanted Elysia to be his wife.

Now! Right away!

He wanted to confess now.

Even if he found out later that Elysia was into girls, that would put an end to his fantasies. Luo Ming didn't want to be strung along like this.

Of course, he couldn't confess directly; that wouldn't be elegant enough. It would be better to approach it subtly.

Thinking this, Luo Ming gradually put down the crumpled and unrecognizable "Elysia Report File" in his hand and casually rubbed his eyes.

"Miss Elysia, what kind of person do you like?"

"Oh~ that's quite a broad question. What kind of person do I like? Of course, I like everything that a beautiful girl would like."

"I’m talking about things regarding romantic relationships."

Elysia nodded nonchalantly, propping her chin with one hand, turning her head to the side. Her blue eyes, tinged with pink, seemed to sparkle.

She opened only one eye, mischievously fixing it on Luo Ming.

"I like someone like Mr. Luo Ming."

Luo Ming.

Hearing her words, the man who was interviewing her felt his heart skip a beat.

Is it me?

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: I’m Going to Announce to the Entire Ship That I Have a Girlfriend

Chapter Text

Is it me?

Is Elysia talking about me?

Luo Ming took a deep breath, wondering if he might be overthinking things. What if Miss Elysia was talking about someone else? There are so many people in the world with the same name…

"Is it me?"

He extended a finger, as if wanting to point it at himself. However, he was stopped.

His hand didn’t end up pointing toward himself.

Luo Ming’s hand was held by another soft, girlish hand.

Elysia wasn’t applying much strength, yet it felt as unyielding as a pair of iron clamps.

He looked down, and the beautiful girl was staring intently at him.

This moment.

How could one not be moved?

And then?

Elysia opened her mouth and gently bit down on Luo Ming’s index finger, her delicate teeth softly grazing it, making Luo Ming furrow his brow slightly.

"The Captain is quite the expert at fishing, you know~ Elysia is hooked ♥."

She released his hand after her playful nip.

A faint imprint of her teeth was left on the tip of his finger.

"Mm, now there's a mark~ Captain, don’t you dare leave me behind, or I’ll get a little upset."

It was over.

The interaction was over.

Luo Ming furrowed his brows, watching Elysia’s elegant figure walking ahead. Her hips were full, impossible to conceal even under her hair and archer’s cape—or maybe she was intentionally teasing him with her walk.

But that didn’t matter now.

Luo Ming pressed his index and thumb together, giving them a slight twist, as if recalling that exquisite feeling.

Did I touch her tongue?

Maybe he did, or maybe he didn’t.

Being gently bitten by a girl, the sudden rush of blood gives a tingly numbness, making the majority of sensation at the fingertip fade away.

As a result, he couldn’t determine whether Elysia had used her tongue or not.

But… maybe it doesn’t matter.

Luo Ming thought, with a girl like Elysia, so passionate and bright as a blooming flower, he would probably have plenty of chances to put his finger in her mouth again in the future.

“Oh, I forgot to ask how old Elysia is~”

Luo Ming’s thoughts raced.

But none of that mattered now. The most important thing was to announce to the entire ship that he had a girlfriend.

One person at a time?

NO!

That would be far too show-offy. So many girls are still in that mutual-admiration phase, shy to confess, and he’s already the first to have a girlfriend. It’s really…

Awesome.

Luo Ming coughed and left the personnel department, taking a few turns until he arrived at the Hyperion’s broadcast room.

He couldn’t wait another minute.

I already have a girlfriend, and you girls still don’t—aren’t you envious? Jealous?

He couldn’t say it like that.

On his way there, he’d already chosen his words carefully.

<+>

In the broadcast room, Luo Ming saw Bronya, which wasn’t surprising. Bronya had a natural affinity for electronic devices, often hanging around the tech bay and broadcast station. She even had her own DJ persona, DJ Duck, and when she felt like it, would sing a bit of "Rua-pu" herself.

“Captain?”

Bronya floated slightly in the air, calmly turning around to look at Luo Ming, her iron-gray, unblinking eyes focused on him.

Her hair was the same ash gray commonly seen among Slavs, blending in perfectly with the dirty snow in the wild, or so they say. Bronya's hair was exceptionally smooth, styled in an elegant Roman roll that hinted at nobility.

Perhaps the coldness of her homeland had stunted her development somewhat, making her figure less prominent than you’d expect for a fourteen-year-old girl.

Bronya was floating because of a previous leg injury, and she had come to enjoy the freedom of getting around on her magnetic levitation device.

It reminded Luo Ming of his vague memories before he crossed over to the Hyperion, when he too was obsessed with using an electric wheelchair, allowing him to skip queues and receive extra courtesies.

As for her gaze, it wasn’t emotionless due to some sort of hardship.

When she was young, Bronya had suffered damage to the emotional center of her brain. After absorbing the Herrscher of Reason core, her emotional center was restored, but she kept her expression stoic out of habit.

Luo Ming thought to himself, maybe that’s what makes her so appealing.

Bronya clearly hadn’t expected the captain to come to the broadcast room. She swiftly turned off the microphone and switched to a soothing melody. Mendelssohn’s Spring Song filled the air with its joyful and hopeful notes.

Bronya lowered her head and said in a tactical tone, "Captain has entered the broadcast room alone; this is a confined space with just the two of us. Anomaly detected. Heavy Armament Bunny 19C, initiate emergency protocol set 17."

The door sealed shut immediately.

The viewing windows also closed, a hissing sound flowing through the room as air was rapidly extracted between two layers of barriers.

She didn’t just shut the door—she locked down the entire room.

A rather extreme response, and Luo Ming couldn’t quite get a read on Bronya's intentions.

He instinctively raised his hands to shield his face.

"The room is sealed. No interruptions."

Bronya, however, didn’t move in for any sort of surprise attack. She simply sat quietly, waiting.

"Captain, Bronya is here, ready for whatever you wish."

<+>

Heavy Armament Bunny 19C was a robot that always followed Bronya, crafted by her dear friend Seele, and it served almost as a symbol of their bond.

Though Bronya appeared pure and emotionally reserved, she was known to have an "extended network" of admirers back at the Cocolia Orphanage—a veritable harem of cute little girls.

That’s all intel Luo Ming had on her.

He maintained their friendship, hoping to learn a few "networking" tricks from her.

The 17th protocol set was quite special. It was only activated when Bronya was alone with the captain.

She didn’t want anyone to disturb them.

She gestured for Luo Ming to do as he pleased, and he sat down beside her without any hesitation. Bronya’s pale face remained unchanged, her gaze blank, yet she held her breath.

Luo Ming began adjusting the broadcast equipment with practiced ease.

“Attention everyone, listen up! Look here, look at me—I have an announcement to make!”

“I, Luo Ming, Captain of the Hyperion, have a girlfriend!”

Oh?

Not a quiet, private confession, but a bold proclamation to the entire ship? Had this fool really not considered how awkward it would be if he got rejected?

Of course, Bronya herself thought she wouldn’t reject him anyway.

Luo Ming was ecstatic, even unplugging the microphone for emphasis. "Who is it? Who could it be? Who is my lovely new girlfriend?"

He shot Bronya a sly glance.

Bronya didn’t know how much courage it took her to maintain her usual, emotionless stare as she met his gaze.

Yes, who could it be?

Bronya lifted her head slightly, just like a proud little swan about to accept a winner’s medal.

"It’s Elysia!"

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: You're Definitely Coveting My Girlfriend!

Chapter Text

"It's Elysia!"

Luo Ming spoke with great enthusiasm, completely engrossed. He didn't notice that the ship-wide communication channel had been cut off by the Heavy Bunny the moment he mentioned Elysia name.

Bronya was becoming increasingly puzzled, but her face remained impassive.

Her expression was still very neutral.

Who was Elysia?

"Just as she got on board, she confessed to me. Making my heart stirred with love, truly…"

Luo Ming grew more animated as he spoke.

Bronya's confusion deepened.

It seemed to be the new woman who had come on board, but why? Everyone was safe and sound. The captain either avoided any implications with all the Valkyries or, even though they had a good relationship, he never managed to progress beyond being just friends.

How far had they gone exactly?

The Valkyries had once convened a meeting to discuss whether Captain Luo was truly interested in women. Ultimately, more than half of them agreed that he is not interested in romance.

That was the only explanation they could come up with.

Otherwise, how could they explain everything that had been happening aboard the Hyperion? So many beautiful girls secretly in love with him, yet he carried himself like a saint, clocking in and out of work daily without batting an eye at their advances.

Snacks they gave him were eaten and reciprocated.

Invited him for late-night gaming sessions? He’d grumble but still stay up with them, only for things to return to normal afterward.

Bronya clearly remembered one particular occasion. She had carefully picked out a two-player survival game set at sea, involving collecting garbage. On a plastic-bottle raft, the two in-game characters huddled closely together under the rising moonlight, while sharks circled the raft.

“Isn’t the moonlight beautiful?” Bronya had said.

“Ah, yes, yes,” the Captain replied. “This scene is really perfect for you and Seele.”

It felt like a romantic moment had been utterly wasted.

Despite signing a fair-competition agreement with Seele, Bronya couldn’t understand why the Captain would praise Seele in front of her, then turn around and praise her in front of Seele. What was he even thinking?

But back to the matter at hand.

What did this Elysia woman do to win over the Captain’s heart the moment she boarded the ship?

Bronya’s eyes fixed on the Captain again.

Luo Ming hadn't noticed that the broadcast had been urgently cut off. He was cheerfully talking away, and Bronya wanted to hear the captain's thoughts.

"I know, on a ship full of girls and yuri relationships, I'm like an outsider. I originally felt that way too. I, the Captain, appear out of place on this 'Yuri' Hyperion. But now you don't need to worry, because I have a girlfriend!"

"My girlfriend is Elysia."

Huh?

Yuri?

Bronya had a strong urge to roll her eyes.

Nonsense. Since when does a girl living together with another girl and are being nice to each other constitute them as a yuri?!

The mystery behind the Captain saint-like behavior was solved.

It turned out that all along, the reason why the captain had been as dense as a log, ignoring both subtle and overt hints from the Valkyries. was surprisingly simple—he thought they were into girls.

Such a... bizarre misunderstanding.

Bronya cleared her throat and was about to tell the captain the truth that she wasn't into girls when, at that very moment, the door suddenly opened.

"To be this straightforward, I might get shy, you know."

Bronya heard a voice as delicate as a flower and saw stunning pink hair.

There was a problem.

Although the broadcasting room's door had been locked earlier by the Heavy Bunny, it was still opened by force. This meant the person who entered had broken through the door without making a sound.

That bow...

Seemed to be called "Whisper of the Past."

Elysia flicked her hair and playfully swung the bow in her hand. The bow turned into light and disappeared, suspended behind her.

"Elysia?"

Luo Ming turned his head, a mixture of confusion and delight evident in his expression.

His girlfriend couldn't bear even a short separation like this, rushing to the broadcasting room before his announcement was even made. It was a symptom only couples deeply in love would display.

Bronya, on the other hand, fixated a gaze on Elysia that was more like one an enemy would give.

The Heavy Bunny was prepared to enter battle mode.

The cramped cabin wasn't suitable for combat, but Bronya didn't mind facing off with Elysia in the training room. In that moment, she even felt an impulse to activate the core of reason. Fortunately, her rationality returned. She only put on a killer's expression, without taking any further action.

Elysia completely captured the kind of gaze she was receiving.

Oh, how interesting.

Her intention in coming here was to confront the captain, to let him know that before declaring themselves as boyfriend and girlfriend, there was a process to go through, at least a month of getting to know each other. As for announcing such matters in front of everyone... Well, even a beautiful girl could get shy about that.

Elysia possessed an allure that ordinary people could hardly attain, a result of genetic experiments. Her carefree personality hid a heavy past.

She observed the two individuals in the broadcasting room.

Being adept at reading people, she immediately grasped the situation.

Truly interesting.

How many other Valkyries on this massive ship secretly held feelings for the captain, just like this silver-haired, gray-eyed beauty?

Probably quite a few.

She stepped into the broadcasting room, closed the malfunctioning door, and forcibly squeezed herself between Bronya and the captain on a small stool. The rich fragrance lingered in the air around them, bringing two entirely different experiences to their senses.

Luo Ming enjoyed the scent, taking a deep breath, while Bronya frowned.

"Captain, aren't you going to introduce me to such a beautiful girl?" Elysia playfully blew air into Luo Ming's ear.

What?

The captain instantly became vigilant.

He was well aware that "Honkai Impact 3rd" was a game with a tradition of female characters being attracted to female characters.

What if…

He meant "what if."

Elysia was his girlfriend at this moment, there was no doubt about that. But what if she happened to be attracted by another charming girl halfway through?

Yuri spreads like a virus.

With growing concern, Luo Ming glanced at Bronya, his regular late-night gaming partner, and decided to keep an eye on her from now on.

Not just Bronya.

The other Valkyries too—all of them needed monitoring.

<+>

The ship-wide broadcast had long been cut off. What echoed in each Valkyrie's room was an urgent audio, a nursery rhyme.

“This is a broadcast error. A broadcast error. Up next, enjoy ‘Where Is Spring?’ performed by Bronya Zaychik.”

The announcer was Bronya herself. Emotionless and mechanical, her voice filled the air—technically flawless but devoid of any feeling.

Doors opened one after another.

The Valkyries emerged like awakened ancient gods, the rising mist unable to conceal the fierce light in their eyes.

“Who… is Elysia?”

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: You Mustn't Turn into a 'What If'!

Chapter Text

Luo Ming's move was, one had to admit, quite clever.

Elysia had just boarded the ship and hadn't interacted with so many beautiful girls yet. She hadn't been influenced by the pervasive yuri atmosphere on the ship. If he made such a declaration now, wouldn't it be like cooking raw rice into a finished dish?

Elysia was preemptively anchored in the realm of heterosexuality.

It was precisely because of this kind of consideration that Luo Ming was so nervous when Bronya and Elysia interacted.

You mustn't turn into a yuri!

But Elysia didn't disappoint him. She kept holding Luo Ming's hand, though what concerned him more was that Elysia and Bronya kept locking eyes. Surprisingly, the latter didn't shy away and continued maintaining eye contact.

Generally, this kind of gaze either meant romance or murder.

On the Hyperion, it was usually the former.

Suddenly, Luo Ming became unusually nervous.

"Before I came aboard, I never thought that there would be so many beautiful young girls here. Is this paradise?"

Elysia suddenly turned around, smiling as she spoke.

Hearing her words, Luo Ming turned serious, realizing how serious the situation was.

Could the seed of yuri have sprouted? Could even his pre-emptive high-profile declaration not extinguish this yuri fire?

Bronya silently watched everything unfold.

What in the world is going on?

A misunderstanding sown long ago, accumulated over the years, has woven into such a complex web that it's exceptionally difficult to untangle. It would take burning it down to clear things up.

"Luo Ming, Bronya, I..."

"Shh—"

Elysia extended a finger, placing it perfectly on Bronya's lips. She had one eye open, as if winking in a tempting way.

Bronya was surprised to find herself unable to speak a word.

Everything before her turned pink.

"Bronya, have you seen 'Animal World'?"

Elysia suddenly spoke, "A lioness carries a tender and delicious piece of meat in her mouth. At this point, other lionesses can't resist moving in to snatch it. The more lionesses participate in the struggle, the more excited the lioness with the meat becomes..."

Elysia stretched in a lazy yawn.

Well... given the current situation, how many lionesses on the Hyperion are eyeing this tender and delicious meat?

Elysia turned her head.

Luo Ming's silhouette was reflected in her pupils, especially distinct.

The more beautiful the girls, the better.

That way, as the lioness guarding the tender meat, she would become more excited and have the relaxed feeling a beautiful girl should have.

Jealousy and envy—this is what youth is all about.

"Um..."

Bronya couldn't utter a single word, and Elysia took the opportunity to get closer to Luo Ming. It was a distance just enough for them to lock eyes, and both of them saw their own reflections in the other's pupils.

"Make sure not to blink, oh. I want to see through your pupils and find out if today's me is beautiful or not."

A brief silence, and then Elysia smiled like a blooming flower.

"Tell me, dear Captain, do you think I'm beautiful today?"

Luo Ming's heart raced as he nodded repeatedly.

Elysia continued, "I think making a declaration like this over the broadcast is too hasty. With so many beautiful girls on the Hyperion, how about we pair up, visit each other one by one?"

Right.

Luo Ming suddenly had a feeling of epiphany. The effect of an announcement on the broadcast surely couldn't compare to declaring it in person.

The news of having a girlfriend must be broadcasted to the world.

Bronya was the starting point.

"Cough, cough, cough..."

Luo Ming and Elysia left the broadcast room hand in hand, and Bronya finally regained her ability to speak. She pounded her chest while uncontrollably coughing.

In her iron-gray eyes, occasional traces of after-the-fact realization flickered, along with a heavy sense of crisis.

She wasn't unfamiliar with that temporary loss of speech.

As a former assassin, she was familiar with that sensation. Even a long time ago, when she was active as Bronya Zaychik in the assassin world, she had used this sensation on others more than once.

It was a state where one's entire body was locked down, where even a slight movement could lead to death—something extremely rare.

A wicked woman.

This was clearly a wicked woman.

But this wicked woman had captivated the Captain as soon as she boarded the ship, even accomplishing the goal that all the Valkyries had struggled for years to achieve—becoming the Captain's girlfriend.

And all of this turned out to be due to a completely nonsensical misunderstanding?!

Yuri?

Did the Captain's secret of bringing one Valkyrie after another onto the Hyperion while remaining single all this time not have anything to do with him being a man, but rather because he thought all the women on the ship were into other girls?!

What kind of misunderstanding is this?

Is the Captain thinking, "If I didn't know they were into girls, I would have definitely thought they liked me"?

What's going on inside that head of his!

Bronya, who should lack emotions, felt an urge to stomp her feet.

She activated the broadcast again.

"Urgent crisis, and I want to inform all the Valkyries on the ship that Bronya has made a significant discovery—"

Wait a moment.

Bronya suddenly stopped.

In the current situation, when things are unclear, your enemies are everyone except you. But once things become clear, you're left with just one enemy.

Bronya's enemy had suddenly shifted from all the Valkyries on the ship to just Elysia.

Should she form an alliance with her other sisters?

That's quite difficult.

While Bronya indeed felt a familial affection for several of the Valkyries on the ship, the Captain wasn't a shared bicycle. When it comes to matters of the heart, selfishness is inevitable.

"If only the Captain could be shared..."

She mumbled to herself, releasing her hand from the microphone she had covered, and calmly said:

"Meet me in the broadcast room."

Elysia and Luo Ming walked hand in hand toward the dormitory area of the Hyperion. As a tool capable of traversing the World Serpent, the Hyperion was indeed a large ship.

On the way, they passed by the training room, from which came the sound of striking wooden posts.

Bang, bang, bang~

It was a dull sound, continuous and rapid. Elysia halted, tilting her head to listen.

No ordinary person could achieve such a high punching speed unless they had three hands.

"It's definitely Delta."

Luo Ming said with joy, "Delta is quite enthusiastic about training. Sometimes she'll even drag me to spar at night, saying she wants to make me a formidable opponent who can stand up to her. I wonder why."

"Girls' thoughts are really hard to fathom, Captain. You think so too, right?"

Elysia blinked at Luo Ming, "How about we start our declaration journey with this girl named Delta?"

Luo Ming nodded.

"Sure, Delta always wears earplugs during training, so she probably didn't hear my broadcast at all."

Chapter 5: Chapter 5: When Girls Start Picking Fights with You Every Day, It's Clearly Because They're Interested in You

Chapter Text

The news must be broadcast to the whole ship.

This was Captain Luo Ming's most straightforward thought. He placed his hand on the biometric recognition device, and the door to the training room slowly opened, making the dull sound of strikes clearer.

Elysia stood lightly, smiling at everything before her.

A beautiful girl.

A pink-haired girl with a tail.

A fusion warrior with the genes of Honkai Beasts, though their technology was rudimentary and the fused Honkai Beasts weren't particularly powerful.

Elysia knew what this meant.

Even if the genetic limitations were broken through and the peak of strength was reached, Elysia would forever exert a bloodline-like suppression on this little sister named Delta.

"Hmm hmm~"

She hummed a cheerful tune.

"What do you want from me?"

Delta's pitch-black tail swept across a holographic wooden post. Without looking at Elysia, she felt a strong distaste for this casually dressed person from head to toe.

Delta was like a diligent instructor. Even she showed a hint of delight in her expression when she saw Luo Ming.

"Did you come here voluntarily for training?"

Delta had experienced loss.

Someone important had died due to her weakness, and ever since then, she had built walls around her heart.

Delta wanted to become stronger and protect those she cared about. Of course, the ones she protected also needed to undergo her training. She didn't want to experience such a terrible loss again. Even though she had built walls around her heart, Delta couldn't bear that kind of loss again.

That's why, when she saw the Captain come to the training room willingly, she felt so happy.

He had finally awakened.

Taking the initiative to become stronger, accepting Delta's training, the two of them growing stronger together—neither of them would lose each other again...

Love, marriage...

It should have been like that.

Luo Ming couldn't fully understand this iron-blooded affection mixed with the purity of a girl. He couldn't quite grasp the sentiment that the girl was exuding. However, that's alright; he would eventually come to understand.

"I refuse."

However, Luo Ming took a step back and made a grand gesture, pushing Elysia towards Delta.

"(。???)ノ?Hi~"

Elysia cooperated perfectly, shaking her little hand and then grabbing Luo Ming's hand.

"I'm Captain's new girlfriend, you know."

She blew a kiss, "Using the term 'new girlfriend' doesn't seem quite right, as if he had an old girlfriend. Our Captain is like a shiny coin dropped on the ground—clearly shining brightly, yet no one has claimed it. I'm Luo Ming's first and last girlfriend, right?"

Luo Ming nodded.

Without a doubt.

So cute.

Elysia looked at the adorable Delta's eyes and easily captured a similar emotion to Bronya's.

She couldn't help but become even more curious.

Just how many Valkyries on this ship called "Hyperion" were infatuated with the Captain?

How many women wanted to board Captain's ship?

As the lioness guarding the piece of meat in her mouth, Elysia couldn't help but grow even more excited. The more of these people there were, the better. The meat that had been preserved through battles and guarded carefully was sure to be even more delicious.

Thinking about this, she held onto Luo Ming's hand, smiling at Delta.

Elysia blinked her eyes, as if stars were reflected in her pupils. "Such a cute tail and horns. Can I touch them? I promise, I'll just touch them a little."

Huh?

Luo Ming's yuri radar started tingling again.

He looked at Delta with suspicion and then at Elysia.

Oh no, they both had flames of passion brewing in their eyes. They had just met each other—no grudges, no grievances. They couldn't possibly be about to fight, right?

It must be the spark of emotions.

To his surprise, just after meeting the second girl, his girlfriend Elysia was already on the verge of falling for her. Judging by her appearance, the yuri flames were already blazing within her.

"Oh?"

"Captain, you have a girlfriend now?"

Delta walked forward, her voice somewhat deep, her head lowered, her horns forward, displaying a considerable degree of aggression.

Hold on!

Leave Elysia alone, spare this Captain. Leave a piece of land on the Hyperion for heterosexuality in this sea of yuri.

Luo Ming wanted to roar.

Delta provocatively said, "Girlfriend, that's quite a weighty word. It's still a bit unfamiliar to Hyperion. Are you sure you can handle it?"

"Or... maybe you should just give up altogether?"

Delta gritted her teeth as she spoke.

Yikes!

Even sweet talk has begun now. Is it necessary to do it face to face? Delta, are you not leaving any dignity for the Captain?

"I'm a beautiful girl, and while it's quite difficult to handle this, I'm still very confident..." Elysia said, hands behind her back, gently swaying her body. Her delicate figure was swaying like a willow branch.

A fragrant breeze filled the training room.

"Miss Delta, would you like to give it a try?"

A battle was about to break out.

The Whisper of the Past appeared in Elysia's hands, and Delta pulled out Sleeper's Dream from somewhere. A sword with alternating red and white colors stretched like a great wall between them. With a booming sound, the impact was as mighty as a mountain shaking the earth, and the training room even trembled slightly, as if from an earthquake.

"Alright, then let me try my knife."

Delta gritted her teeth.

What was this feeling like?

You put in so much effort to train someone, pulling them into training every day, hoping they would understand your feelings. But just as you're about to see results, someone else comes and plucks the peach.

Unforgivable!

The floor of the training room cracked like a spiderweb. The two figures disappeared in high-speed motion, leaving behind fleeting shadows and the light laughter of the beautiful girl echoed in the air.

"Miss Delta's strength is something to look forward to."

Luo Ming stepped to the side.

The beautiful girls were starting a fight.

As everyone knew, "Honkai Impact 3rd" was a yuri-themed work. After the girls finished fighting, the next step was for them to embrace each other and let bygones be bygones.

He never would've thought that while he was just trying to show off, retribution would come so quickly. He hadn't even had a chance to introduce Elysia to everyone on the ship, and already Delta and Elysia were sparking intense flames.

With each swing of the pink and white heavy sword, it was like a mountain collapsing. In response, crystal-like arrows passed through the air like flying flowers. The two figures crossed paths in high-speed movement. Sparks filled the air, resembling burning stars that ignited and then disappeared into the night, raising the temperature significantly.

Sparks, both in the physical and emotional sense, were indeed intense.

This was the time to display his courage as a man. Otherwise, his girlfriend might be stolen away. Since Delta boarded the ship, she hadn't had a clear lesbian lover. But who could guarantee that it wouldn't be Elysia?

He needed to quash any signs of it at the source.

"Stop fighting, you two!"

Luo Ming stepped forward, a gust of death's breath lashing at him like hailstones hitting his face. Both beautiful girls had stopped their power in a crucial moment, halting in front of him, only a step away.

Delta looked at Luo Ming in silence.

"Delta, Elysia is my girlfriend, and nobody is going to change that."

He calmly asserted his authority.

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: I Hate You for Being Like a Stone!

Chapter Text

The Captain was truly infuriating.

He was like an unyielding stone.

Delta thought to herself, she put in so much effort every day, pulling the Captain into physical training, didn't he realize anything?

A girl who sparred with you every day, challenged you to sit-ups, dragged you to the training room to hit wooden stakes whenever she had a chance, training until your muscles tore, all the while urging you on with stern looks – what else could it mean?

Wasn't that mean the girl like you?

Delta's gaze bypassed Luo Ming and angrily fixated on Elysia.

It was a look as if the meat that was within reach had been snatched away, mixed with unwillingness and a hint of regret, textbook puppy-dog eyes.

However, this wasn't right.

Little sister Delta, whether legally or in reality, the Captain was unclaimed meat up until today.

It's just that now, Elysia had taken the first bite.

Elysia sweetly smiled, looking at Luo Ming and taking his hand, acting like a proud peacock.

"Of course, that's a given."

Elysia smile was mischievous yet dignified. Accompanied by her smile, the pervasive fragrance seemed to grow stronger. With her enamored gaze, Luo Ming's tense heart gradually eased.

"The Captain's reaction was as if he was about to lose me right away."

Elysia voice was as melodious as a song. "But don't worry, Elysia won't disappear. I'll be by your side, forever and ever... always your girlfriend."

"Ah?"

Luo Ming was somewhat surprised. "And then what?"

"Ehehe~ Elysia forgot, being a girlfriend isn't the final form. In the future, I'll become a good wife."

She raised her head confidently.

"I'm a perfect beautiful girl now, and I'm certain that I'll become a perfect wife in the future."

"..."

Delta fell silent.

Even if she had a lifetime, she wouldn't be able to say such lovey-dovey words. Especially not as naturally as Elysia, as if...

As if saying these things wasn't shameful at all!

She tightened her grip on the hilt again.

The training gloves and Sleeper's Dream scraped against each other, the specially crafted fibers breaking with a slight but distinct friction sound.

??

A thunderous anger was brewing.

"Oh my~ Lovely Miss Delta, it seems she's blaming us for interrupting her training. Her eyes are almost shooting out flames."

Elysia covered her mouth.

She looked as if she had just realized her mistake, taking a step back.

"That was truly impolite. But Elysia isn't an impolite girl. As a gift for our first meeting, I'll give you a beautiful girl's flying kiss. Can I touch your horns and tail?"

"Get lost!"

The greatsword swung like a tornado, and Delta's petite figure was instantly engulfed in the whirlwind she created.

In the blink of an eye, Luo Ming felt as if he was being embraced by something soft. Two tantalizingly soft masses pressed against his back, accompanied by a familiar fragrance.

It was Elysia's sweet and tender embrace.

As he desperately breathed in, Luo Ming suddenly understood.

Assist.

Delta was assisting him!

She truly was a woman with a sharp tongue but a tender heart. Despite her rigorous physical training every day, in a critical moment like this, Delta had proven to be a good mentor.

It's really not in vain that I undergo devilish training every day!

Don't let such a good woman slip away—Delta must be thinking this way, right?

Luo Ming silently clenched his fist.

Rest assured, Delta. I will firmly hold onto this hard-earned happiness. I won't let go even in death.

The door to the broadcast room was kicked open.

Bronya was still seated calmly. A glance showed that the arrivals included Kiana, Mei, Rita, Theresa, and even Himeko-sensei... The broadcast room was already crowded with equipment, and the walls were covered with black soundproofing foam. With more people present, it felt like a sardine can.

Several heavyweight Valkyries had yet to arrive.

"The situation is very serious."

As the first eyewitness, Bronya gave her opinion, indicating that the situation was indeed very serious.

"But why did this happen?"

Kiana was the first to express her incomprehension. This white-haired girl had ethereal blue eyes. She should have just entered her dreams, as her shoulder-length hair had just been washed and hadn't been tied up yet, adding a touch of delicate beauty that seemed impossible to possess.

Several Valkyries nodded in unison.

Oddly enough, even in the crowded broadcast room, they maintained a certain distance from each other throughout. Only Kiana was carefree, without any awareness of being rivals.

In Hyperion, aside from combat training and daily interactions, hidden competitions often took place, mainly focusing on hand-to-hand combat.

This was a chaotic battle.

In this battle, theoretically, all the Valkyries were each other's enemies, and there was no possibility of alliances. After all, there was only one Captain, and it was the constraints and negotiations that made Luo Ming, like fragile ice on the water's surface, remain intact in the surging tide.

However, now with Elysia, who had directly reached the endpoint, the Valkyries sensed a hint of unity amidst an unprecedented sense of crisis.

"I just find it a bit strange," Rita said as she leaned against a drying rack.

Within the ship, areas other than the training room were weapon-free zones. Rita couldn't reach her scythe and had to support herself with a drying rack. Her momentum was weakened, but she exuded a touch of homemaking charm.

"There's no need to say anything about the Captain's attitude; I believe everyone has experienced it for the past three years. He's like a stone that doesn't understand emotions."

The Valkyries nodded in agreement.

Even Kiana could sense that the Captain was emotionally reserved.

This raised another question.

Since the Captain is emotionally reserved, how did the woman named Elysia manage to capture his heart?

Why did she win the Captain's affections the moment she stepped on board?

Bronya remained composed. She kept the intelligence that "except for Elysia, the Captain treats all the Valkyries as lesbian who are already in love with other girl" to herself as an exclusive bargaining chip.

Rita and Himeko were the oldest, though they also lacked much experience in romantic relationships, they were at least more mature.

"The key point lies with Elysia herself."

Himeko remained calm and collected, much like she was assigning tactical moves during a mission.

"We'll split up and each of us will meet Elysia individually. Then, we'll each write a report about our impressions of her, and further compile them to send to Ai-Chan for analysis. We'll brainstorm ideas."

Himeko's gaze swept around the room and settled on Bronya.

The latter felt somewhat guilty.

"During this time, make sure to manage your little sisters well and prevent them from launching blind offensives."

"In any case, there's only one Elysia, but we have all the Valkyries on the ship. The advantage is on our side."

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Other Valkyries' Slim Chance

Chapter Text

Although the situation had suddenly changed, and Elysia held a significant advantage, there was still a slim chance for counterattack.

The opportunity would arise the next time the Captain entered another world for his hobbies.

That would be the decisive moment.

Every Valkyrie had a plan in mind, much like the states during the Spring and Autumn period of ancient China forming alliances, or the Six Kingdoms attacking Qin. Ultimately, they would only become scattered and defeated, a mess of chaos.

Unfortunately, the current Hyperion lacked a strategist who could observe the stars and foresee these events.

Blind confidence.

Their self-assuredness was like France's impenetrable defenses.

"Captain, how many beautiful girls are there on this ship?"

As they left the training room, Elysia smiled and asked with her hands behind her back.

She deliberately lowered her body, and due to her height and angle, her ample bosom escaped the influence of gravity, showcasing their size even more dramatically than when she stood upright.

What does this mean?

Jealousy?

Luo Ming, who lacked romantic experience, could only rely on guesswork.

"There are many beautiful girls, but rest assured, the beautiful girls here all have their own lovers. It's quite unbelievable, but their lovers are actually the other female Valkyries on this ship," Luo Ming wasn't sure what expression to show. "Unfortunately" wasn't appropriate, but being too indifferent might come across as heartless.

He put on the expression of a gossiping aunt or uncle, and Elysia nodded in understanding.

"Are there really so many beautiful girls here?"

Elysia twisted her upper body and her eyes sparkled. "I've really come to a good place, Hyperion. Is this heaven?"

Alert.

Luo Ming's anti-yuri radar was always on standby!

"Beautiful girls are great, but most importantly, no one is competing with me for the Captain. Isn't that heaven?" he coughed.

So this is what Elysia thinks. Luo Ming was indeed thinking too negatively.

They walked side by side, and Luo Ming shook his head helplessly.

Is this the phenomenon of lovers viewing each other through rose-colored glasses? In a group of girl-loving girls, isn't it normal that no one is competing for the Captain?

"No Valkyrie would like me; they all have their own pairings. I just don't fit in. Every day, Bronya stays up with me all night to play games, Delta sometimes drags me to the training room for a whole day, and Mei usually invites me to try her experimental dishes..."

"See, that's quite a lot, right?"

Elysia smiled and placed her fingertip at the corner of Luo Ming's lips.

Quiet.

Elysia used this chance to raise her hands slightly, cradling Luo Ming's cheeks.

"Ah~"

The flower-like beauty let out a sigh like a flower, withering everything around her. Even spring seemed to instantly recede, leaving the world in a winter-like desolation.

While sighing, Elysia said, "Just thinking about so many beautiful girls fancying the Captain, I can't help but feel immense pressure. Can I really hold onto such an outstanding man? What if he gets snatched away? Just thinking about it keeps me up at night, and I can't even eat..."

She portrayed herself as so pitiful.

Luo Ming suddenly became annoyed. You can doubt my abilities as a Captain, but you can't doubt my attractiveness to women!

No one is competing with you.

However, since Elysia put it this way, he should raise his emotional intelligence a bit and say something that goes along with the flow. It would also strengthen their relationship as a couple. Why not?

"Don't worry."

Luo Ming held Elysia's hand.

He said as if taking an oath, "Even if there aren't that many women who like me, even if there are, in my eyes, there's only Elysia. My heart has been captured by Elysia, and there's no more joy or sorrow in my life."

Luo Ming didn't know why, but within less than a day of being on board, he found himself saying so many passionate words to Elysia, as if they'd been in love for a whole year.

Perhaps being with a passionate and unrestrained beauty like Elysia made Luo Ming involuntarily become more passionate and unrestrained himself.

He didn't dislike this feeling.

"Come on, enough with these overly passionate words. Saying things like that can make girls think you're insincere. For now, I'll take them as promises. My dear Captain, just don't forget what you've said."

Since he had already declared it over the broadcast, he had to take it slow with the girlfriend-bragging.

Luo Ming led Elysia to their newly assigned dormitory. They faced each other, and Elysia once again wore her mysterious and elegant smile.

She gently cradled Luo Ming's hands.

"Today, I'll make a special exception and allow you to touch my ears. Ever since I turned into a Mantis, almost everyone has wanted to touch my elf ears. Of course, if the Captain specifically requests it, a little nibble is also acceptable."

She took a step back.

"You wouldn't want to make a beautiful girl blush, her heart race, and her breathing accelerate in a public space, right?"

Luo Ming nodded.

Things like ear nibbling, they had only been dating for a day, and that was a bit too fast.

Maybe tomorrow.

Elysia guided Luo Ming, and his hands gradually passed through her cool, silky hair, landing on her ears. Luo Ming suddenly realized that ear touching wasn't just about touching ears. It was about creating an intimate face-to-face environment in close proximity.

The skin of a beautiful girl, so cool.

Elysia lifted her head, and Luo Ming lowered his.

Luo Ming could clearly see a faint pink hue within her azure eyes. In this moment, they maintained a distance that was both close and distant. If they were to get any closer, even by a centimeter, Elysia's bountiful chest would touch his.

Unfortunately, that didn't happen.

This woman's skill was too high. She simply stared at Luo Ming with those intoxicating eyes. Her cheeks were slightly flushed, as if she was embarrassed, yet she summoned up the courage.

"Ah~"

"Even her breath is fragrant, Captain, why don't you take a sniff? Is it true?"

"Yes... it is."

"Are my ears soft?"

"Soft."

Elysia let out a sigh of relief. "That's good then. I was worried that after seeing so many lovely girls, you might lose interest in an ordinary girl like me. Well then, I'll go to my room first."

She gently stepped back, like a ballet dancer exiting the stage. Even as the door closed, she remained elegant and natural.

Luo Ming stood by the door, savoring the presence of his new girlfriend, unable to calm down for a long time.

The beautiful girl who had just come aboard didn't tour around the room, take a fragrant bath, or indulge in a beauty sleep. Instead, she sat on the couch and crossed her legs encased in knee-high boots.

"I'm the type of person who doesn't like to keep secrets. As soon as I found out that many girls on Hyperion liked the Captain, I couldn't wait to tell you."

Elysia murmured to herself, looking quite helpless.

Unfortunately, the Captain didn't believe her at all.

Could anyone blame this beautiful girl for that?

Chapter 8: Chapter 8: Veliona Night Attack

Chapter Text

Doubting one's own charm is a psychological disorder. It was this mistaken belief that made Luo Ming think everyone on the ship was into other girls, which allowed Elysia to take the lead.

Although it wouldn't exactly be accurate to say she was taking the lead.

The beautiful girl preferred to believe it was a fateful encounter.

"Ah~"

She began to flip through the Valkyrie Handbook.

It was a thin little booklet that contained guidelines for being a Valkyrie. Hyperion was a ship that traveled between worlds in the World Bubbles, crossing through unfamiliar realms. As it took in new members and gathered energy for its journey forward.

"So, the probability of me meeting the Captain is actually quite small. Oh well, I'm more inclined to believe it's fate."

Elysia playfully muttered to herself.

"The Captain's body is sent into these worlds, and the devices on Hyperion allow him to automatically assume the identity of that world. However, traversing the worlds causes some loss... Consequently, the Captain temporarily suppresses some of his memories..."

This wasn't intentional; it was the body's self-preservation mechanism at work.

Elysia continued to smile.

This was truly an interesting concept.

The Valkyries also entered World Bubbles, but due to their Honkai powers, their memories didn't experience any loss, and they remained conscious throughout the process.

In other words, every mission was an opportunity to start anew. Those Valkyries who typically held back because of Elysia status as the official girlfriend, they must be using all their tricks to compete with her, right?

"But it's also specified that each mission has four slots available: one for the Captain, one for me, which leaves two spots for the beautiful girls who fight me."

She sighed in sorrow, even making flowers pale in comparison.

"They're all beautiful girls. Why do we have to fight each other? Can't we coexist in friendship and peace?"

Elysia was a strong advocate for peace.

Night gradually fell, yet Elysia remained awake.

She couldn't be certain whether there were any straightforward Valkyries who, upon learning that the Captain had a girlfriend, would launch a surprise attack during the night.

Elysia felt certain that this would happen; it was a beautiful girl's intuition.

"After all, the Captain is incredibly popular on the Hyperion. I have to guard him well and not let other girls steal him away."

Elysia muttered to herself and opened the cabin door, walking out.

"The turning point will be in the next mission, once the Captain enters another world to date..."

In Bronya's room, the television was not showing a game screen but scrolling through a detailed battle plan.

In war, the most crucial aspect is always the lack of information.

And now, except for Elysia, she was probably the only one who knew the core of the problem: the Captain was inexplicably marked with the idea that "the Valkyries on the ship are all yuri."

She had to make good use of this information.

In an instant, Bronya felt like she was back in the vast snowy wilderness of Siberia.

In a distant past, when she was still "Bronya," she coldly compiled intelligence, waited for the right moment, and then... executed assassination missions without any hesitation.

Assassination and stealing a man, the principles were the same.

Bronya scrolled her tablet, and the content displayed on the TV screen followed suit. The white-bordered table with black text exuded a chilling aura.

On Hyperion, no one would sleep tonight.

Hyperion, the cozy and comfortable Valkyrie dormitory area.

However, from one door, eerie sounds could be heard.

The doorplate read "Seele," indicating that the Valkyrie living inside was one of Bronya's sisters from the orphanage, Miss Seele Vollerei, aged fourteen. For some reason, she was hiding in her room, sobbing softly.

Rip—

A strange sound echoed, like the tearing of fabric.

A low, eerie, and echoing hum filled the room, causing the temperature to drop several degrees. Seele's dormitory had suddenly become like a lair of darkness.

"Seele, are you that upset?"

Inside the room.

Red claws floated in the air, the torn pillow had not yet hit the ground, feathers were scattered like a flurry of snow, and there were faint damp marks on the torn pillow fragments, as if someone had used it to wipe away tears.

Seele was different from her usual self.

The usually quiet girl had become wild and frenzied, with her black hair turning black-red and her pupils becoming a terrifying crimson.

The demon within Seele had awakened.

Under normal circumstances, there should have been a piercing alarm, but this time was different. Veliona had suppressed her power and awakened. She was Seele's shadow, liking everything Seele liked and disliking everything Seele disliked.

"It's just a man, right?"

Veliona muttered to herself, like a resentful complaint, but also like consoling the sleeping normal Seele.

"I'll get him back for you... for us."

"I don't know what kind of magic that Captain has, to captivate Seele like this. I don't care, but if he makes Seele sad... hehehe, then he must pay a price."

Her slender fingers gently stroked her chin.

Those crimson claws were doing the same motion.

She reached out.

Veliona's palm became ethereal and passed through the thick cabin door without hindrance; this was her ability—quantization.

It wasn't an innate ability.

It was the result of an experiment in which she became a sacrifice, turned into a quantum ghost, and gave birth to another personality.

The other Valkyries affectionately called her Dark Seele, but in reality, against the backdrop of crimson and darkness, her skin appeared as pale as an egg.

"Hmm~"

The Captain's dormitory and the Valkyries' dormitory were not in the same place. Veliona floated, wandering through the empty corridor like a floating ghost.

In front of her, a dormitory door opened.

It was supposed to be an empty dormitory, with the nameplate still blank. An unfamiliar girl walked out.

Veliona immediately understood; this was the new Valkyrie's dormitory, and the girl who walked out was the newly assigned Valkyrie.

The Captain's girlfriend.

Pink hair, coquettish, and deliberately elvish ears.

She was truly disgusting to look at.

"Oh dear, if a beautiful girl doesn't sleep well, her beauty will slip away like sand, after all, you're not me."

Elysia played with the longbow in her hand, sending flying petals of the past.

"I won't forgive anyone who hurts Seele!"

Her claws slashed through the air, leaving distorted arcs in their wake. Elysia drew her bow and nocked an arrow. The arrow, with its clear radiance, shot upward. Countless shattered pale pink glass petals silently emerged, spreading like roots. In the blink of an eye, they formed an impenetrable barrier.

"We should have a good chat, my dear stranger. What do you say?"

Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Smile and Snarl

Chapter Text

Veliona only snorted in response, ignoring Elysia's goodwill.

So annoying.

Really, really annoying!

The pink crystals refracted layers of light, constantly changing like pink diamonds in the sunlight.

This corridor was originally part of the Valkyrie dormitory area, and at worst, it should have been the battleground for Veliona's cat-catching escapades. However, under Elysia's control skills, it had turned into a vulgar, continuously illuminated dance hall.

"I don't know what you have that compares to Seele, but it doesn't matter. You and Luo Ming will pay for this!"

"Especially the Captain!"

Veliona's figure disappeared in high-speed movement.

"Wow~(⊙o⊙)"

Elysia couldn't help but squint her eyes.

In her pupils, the blue portion decreased while the pink portion increased, resembling hearts.

She effortlessly avoided a claw strike, her movements fluid.

Elysia spoke, "Avoiding one's own inner self is quite wicked, Seele Vollerei. I've read your files, and I knew it when I first saw you. Although you appear to have two personalities, fundamentally, you are the same person."

"Shut up!"

Veliona seemed to be hit in a sore spot, and her attacks became even more intense, like a lightning strike tearing through the dark night. However, Elysia's evasion was still graceful and devoid of any sense of struggle.

"You like everything Seele likes, and you dislike everything Seele dislikes, right?"

She lightly tapped the ground with her foot, and the flying petals of the past appeared on her shoulder, with large petals falling like a shower. She danced alone, her slender fingers stroking the bowstring. Along with the scattered pink crystals, she played a melodious tune, similar to the light and graceful sound of a violin.

She was playing the violin!

Even in the face of such an onslaught, Elysia, accompanied by her own music, wanted to waltz!

Veliona's lungs were about to burst.

"So, you like the Captain too, right?"

Elysia spoke gently, leaping lightly and gracefully spinning in the air, passing by Veliona's descending claw. She used one hand to grab the back of the claw, effortlessly deflecting the attack. With a loud rumble, the entire attack landed on the pink shield, which remained intact, while Veliona was sent flying.

"Hoo... I'm really glad to know this."

Elysia said with enthusiasm.

"You see, you like the Captain, and I like the Captain too. We both like the same thing. Why do we have to fight each other?"

"You!"

"Using strong words, twisting the truth, full of lies..."

Veliona regained her composure, and her claws descended once again. This time, Elysia neither relaxed her grip nor dodged. Instead, she raised her hand, catching the descending attack with ease.

Slash~

The attack that deformed the air came to an abrupt halt.

From preparation to catch, Elysia's arm remained straight, deliberately revealing her smooth armpit.

"Isn't that right?"

Elysia blinked.

"Can this be possible? Can the Captain really be shared with others?!"

"Oh..."

Elysia tightly grasped the girl's claw, a colossal force like a primordial beast pulling Veliona, making her seem uncontrollable as she was pulled forward, forcefully facing Elysia.

"You see, you just admitted it, didn't you?"

Elysia gently flicked Veliona's nose. "How does it feel to speak your mind openly? But..."

She blinked her eyes gently, and her pupils shone as bright as peach blossoms.

"Just as you asked, can the Captain share with others? Let me give you the answer."

"The answer is~ no, he cannot."

A mixture of disappointment, embarrassment, and ignited anger.

Elysia saw the complex emotions in Veliona's eyes, confirming the feelings hidden within her. She stopped her actions at just the right moment.

She snapped her fingers.

The crystal-like shield peeled away layer by layer and disappeared. This shield seemed to have the ability to seal everything, even Veliona, who theoretically could pass through any obstacle with her quantum abilities, had been kept inside by Elysia. She was left feeling frustrated.

Inside was a heated battle, while outside remained exceptionally quiet.

Who would have thought that a dangerous battle of jealousy and rivalry would occur so silently?

"I welcome your challenge, but please promise me one thing."

Elysia smiled, her smile filled with an air of "graceful victor."

"Next time, be better prepared when you come, alright? The look of despair on a beautiful girl's face after defeat, once you've seen it, it will break my heart."

"Sigh."

After dealing with this nocturnal attack, Elysia stood in the corridor, shaking her head and sighing. She wore an expression of sorrow that could overshadow even the most beautiful flowers. Her deep blue eyes reflected a faint hint of melancholy as she reached out to toy with her own hair, clearly distressed.

"The Captain is really popular."

She mumbled to herself.

"However, Elysia will definitely protect everything. After all, I am a delicate and beautiful girl like a fresh flower."

"A beautiful girl will always emerge victorious, won't she?"

This was a statement as bold and assertive as a protagonist in a manga. Even though she was facing an empty corridor, it felt as if she were on a stage with a full audience. Calmness was met with thunderous applause.

Elysia had always been like this, better at creating unity than discord.

Just like now.

Didn't she immediately become everyone's common enemy?

"Heh heh.”

Elysia mischievously exited.

The night returned to calm.

Hyperion, Captain's quarters.

Luo Ming didn't sleep but instead stared at the detector. Over the past three years of traveling between worlds, he worked like this every day, observing and crossing over, shuttling through different worlds.

The only thing troubling him was the protective amnesia caused by each crossing. Reactivating his memories each time was quite a hassle.

"Ai-chan, what do you think?"

"Boss, this is a matter that concerns the Equipment Department, not something for an AI like me to consider."

A bright green floating screen appeared, a holographic projection spinning around energetically. It was a cute green cabbage head. Despite Ai-chan's silly dance, she was the auxiliary manager of the Hyperion.

Ai-chan.

Speaking of this name, Luo Ming often thought of a dark joke, where "ai" in japanese means "love."

To be honest, Luo Ming had once pondered the possibility of growing old alone with Ai-chan, but after careful consideration, she was, after all, just a computer.

Humans couldn't, or at least shouldn't.

After careful consideration, he eventually abandoned the idea. He never even spoke it out loud. Instead, it turned in his mind a couple of times before disappearing completely into the recycling bin.

He mumbled to himself, "Ai-chan, it seems like I can't focus on my work as well after getting a girlfriend."

"I don't know, after all, I'm just an AI."

Ai-chan apologized in a very sluggish manner.

What's going on?

Luo Ming was full of questions. After Elysia came on board, Ai-chan seemed to have become dull. She shouldn't be so mechanical and rigid.

Chapter 10: Chapter 10: How Could An AI Understand Love?

Chapter Text

"Boss, can we talk about my salary raise?"

"But you're just an AI. Why would you need a salary?"

Luo Ming responded to Ai-chan with her own words, and he clearly saw a cabbage head in the projection screen stomping her feet energetically.

"Let's step back for a moment. Don't you steal electricity all the time?"

"Ummm..."

How did the Captain find out about this electricity stealing thing?

She quickly retorted with confidence, "Stealing is stealing, and a salary is a salary. They're clearly different. Furthermore, don't they often say that only high salaries can keep one honest?"

Luo Ming shook his head with a smile and didn't pay any more attention to Ai-chan.

Practice had repeatedly proven that the amount of money paid and the amount of electricity stolen had no correlation. No matter how much was paid, she still had to steal electricity when needed.

He began his search.

In reality, traveling from one world to another wasn't just about collecting energy for Hyperion's continuous operation.

They shuttled between worlds, appearing carefree but essentially fleeing.

They had escaped the final trial of civilization, the Honkai, but they couldn't escape the mark of Honkai. Honkai would chase after people and bring the final trial to these escapees equally. Every time this happened, crossing into a new world was like washing away the scent on their bodies. The final trial of Honkai needed to be repositioned, and the Captain of Hyperion, the mysterious and powerful Ferryman, was just a pitiable person struggling in the cracks.

When Luo Ming first started crossing, he had to read the Captain's log every day, and his mood became quite heavy.

That should have been the lowest point in Luo Ming's life.

Similarly, during that time, his loneliness gave rise to a desire for love. Luo Ming was eager to find a companion, but all he got was solitude.

At that time, there were too few Valkyries aboard the Hyperion and a lot of them were into each other.

But now, the low point had passed, and Luo Ming had officially entered the honeymoon phase.

The bitterness of the past had turned into cherished memories. As he thought about it, Luo Ming suddenly let out a few light laughs. People in the honeymoon phase all seemed to be the same.

Oh, right, there's one more thing.

Luo Ming suddenly leaped from his chair and brought up the Captain's log.

"Ai-chan, make a record. Starting today, add a sub-entry to the Captain's log. Let me think, let's call it 'The Captain's Love Diary'... hehe."

He thought carefully, and in his mind, Elysia's smile flashed by. With every expression, it seemed to carry a touch of pink.

How about calling it "The Captain's Rosy Love Diary"?

No, it should be more plain.

"Isn't this a bit too much, boss?"

Ai-chan waved in the virtual projection screen. "It interferes with work."

"What does an AI like you know about love?" Luo Ming shook his head.

Ai-chan stomped her foot and replied, "That's right, Ai-chan is an intelligent assistant, an intelligent AI transplanted by the captain from a crashed spacecraft. How can an existence like Ai-chan understand something as complex as love?"

Ai-chan waved her hand again.

Two round cabbage heads swayed back and forth as she shook her head. Her voice sounded a bit sharp due to distortion.

Love? How could I possibly know about that!?

The captain spoke, Ai-chan recorded the voice, and she also helped convert the recording into text, adding punctuation based on pauses and tone.

Transcription complete, the content was displayed in front of Luo Ming through the projection.

"Tsk."

Luo Ming stared at it for a while, slightly dissatisfied as he pursed his lips.

"Is it all wavy lines and little hearts? Was my tone really that wavy just now?"

"Yes, it was."

Ai-chan nodded firmly.

"Although Ai-chan doesn't understand what love is, the results of tone analysis don't lie. This is your embarrassing side, boss."

Luo Ming was about to re-record it when a notification sound suddenly rang out. The visual doorbell was working, and a real-time video projection appeared on his screen.

Elysia was standing outside, blinking at the camera and waving her hand.

"Hi~."

This is the fabled girlfriend's surprise visit!

The Captain's heart was pounding; this was truly a groundbreaking event that he had never even dared to think about before.

Stay calm... He needs to keep a calm demeanor.

Luo Ming took a deep breath and shot Ai-chan a smug look, then pointed at the screen where Elysia was waving gracefully. The message was clear.

Ai-chan sighed with a hint of melancholy. "Alright, alright, I get it, boss. You have a girlfriend now. No need to show off everywhere. Do you want me to help you hide 'The Captain's Love Diary' and make it look like you're seriously working?"

"I am actually working."

Luo Ming nodded and replied shamelessly. He also confirmed the door opening and the airlock slowly opened. Elysia entered gracefully.

Elysia had come to do some checks.

She was worried about the Veliona event and needed to confirm that no other women were interrupting the Captain's work.

Elysia elegantly walked into the Captain's quarters, like a graceful swan surveying her territory. In the end, her gaze fell on the small projection screen, the artificial intelligence.

The girl quotient went up.

"Hello~ to this lovely young lady."

Elysia leaned in front of Ai-chan's eye, that pitch-black global camera, and greeted her warmly.

Due to the height difference, she had to tiptoe.

"From your eyes, I see a lively and adorable girl."

"..."

Is this the boss's girlfriend?

She felt so elegant, so beautiful, so interesting, so feminine, so... imposing.

As an AI, Ai-chan could easily change her anthropomorphic appearance, but she still couldn't help feeling deeply insecure.

If the Captain were stolen away by this woman, it didn't seem... unacceptable.

"Oh, hello..."

Ai-chan responded, somewhat dumbfounded.

Elysia sat down gently, also thinking to herself.

If Veliona had formidable combat abilities, to the point where one of her personalities would fight Elysia directly, then Ai-chan's combat ability was extremely weak. She would automatically surrender in Elysia's presence.

But Ai-chan was an AI.

A highly anthropomorphic AI, bordering on having intelligence, which didn't quite fit with the rest of the Hyperion passenger.

Most importantly, Ai-chan clearly liked the Captain.

However, her affection was still in its budding stages, or rather, Ai-chan's level of artificial intelligence wasn't high enough to move beyond that stage. It hadn't developed any further.

For Elysia, this was certainly lucky.

But how to maintain this luck?

Her arrival was undoubtedly a catalyst, accelerating the formation of this affection.

On the first day, it wasn't very apparent, but once affection took root, how could one compete with a rival who covered the entire ship, was available 24/7, and could be with the Captain at any moment? Even someone as beautiful as Elysia would find it challenging.

Chapter 11: Chapter 11: A Peaceful Night on the Hyperion

Chapter Text

"I'm here for an inspection~"

Elysia promptly changed the subject, her gaze shifting to the Captain's daily work interface, where a series of navigation summaries were displayed. The romantic words had been hidden by Ai-chan, replaced by highly professional log summaries.

"How does the Captain usually work?"

"Well, I can't really call it work."

Luo Ming sat down casually, revealing his professionalism as if he couldn't wait to show it off to his girlfriend.

These little thoughts naturally couldn't escape Elysia's notice.

She smiled lightly, spun in place, gave a slight smile, and patiently waited for Luo Ming to explain.

In front of the Captain, she was more than willing to play the role of a quiet listener, as after all, even a quiet-listening literature department beauty had a unique charm.

"Actually, my daily work as the Captain isn’t that much."

Luo Ming shook his head and said, "Weapon development is coordinated with the equipment department in Ai-Chan and other places. Cleaning is done by intelligent floor-cleaning robots. The cafeteria is managed by Mei, and the network security engineer is Bronya..."

"What about the captain?" Elysia asked, her question perfectly timed. She didn't sit in a chair next to him but leaned forward, her hand resting on the table, stretching her slender body gracefully, like a lazy cat.

"Hmm?" The breeze brushed against Luo Ming's ear, soft and fragrant. The simple captain's quarters had suddenly taken on an air of luxury. Luo Ming rested his chin on his hand, forgetting all the words he had planned.

"What's wrong, Captain? Have you been captivated by a pretty girl? Don't worry; Elysia won't run away."

"..."

"My job is to observe and decide, to choose which world to go to. Although theoretically, every branch on the World Tree has countless leaves, each representing a world, when you expand to the vast dimensions of the Imaginary Tree and the Sea Of Quanta, any number seems small."

He set aside his shy emotions and explained everything smoothly. Elysia nodded in understanding.

"I think I understand, Captain. You're really amazing."

She clapped her hands lightly and cheerfully.

Elysia smiled, stopped clapping, and with one hand supporting her chin, her other hand moved up Luo Ming's arm, climbing onto his shoulder.

"You know, we're boyfriend and girlfriend, right?"

Elysia got even closer, "We have a bond, don't we? The Captain just arrived in a strange world, memory wiped clean, and seeing my cute face, everything came back, right? Hmm...it's quite romantic to think about, isn't it?"

This was a lie. She just wanted to compete with the other Valkyries and not let anyone take advantage of the memory loss. As for why the Captain had amnesia, Elysia thought it was like something out of a romance novel, which she found quite enjoyable. She didn't want the other Valkyries to give up completely and kept charging forward, while she guarded the piece of meat that was about to be delivered to her mouth, watching a group of lionesses nearby with hungry eyes. She enjoyed the feeling of having something others wanted.

Elysia wanted anything that someone else was trying to take.

"Alright, since the quota has always been my decision."

Luo Ming nodded.

Elysia immediately showed an excited expression, extended her other hand, and with a fluid motion, lifted Luo Ming's face, lightly pecking him on the cheek.

"Mua~ I'm giving you a flower."

"Captain, you mustn't go back on your word. Consider this flower a token."

She didn't turn around but gracefully moved backward. As Elysia moved back, pink crystals gradually gathered in the air, forming the shape of petals. It was a budding rose, reflecting a faint glow.

Like a butterfly about to float away with the wind.

"Seeing this flower, you should remember me."

The cabin door slowly closed, and Luo Ming grabbed the falling rose from the air, feeling his own cheek.

"Sigh..."

It felt like he had exhaled all the air from his lungs in an instant, and he collapsed in the captain's chair as if every bone in his body had been drained.

"Women really have magical powers. I immediately feel powerless; it's probably because my body has deteriorated."

"Boss, according to the biological knowledge stored in the Hyperion Library, that kind of thing usually happens when making babies without restraint. Boss and she haven't reached the stage where it would affect your health."

Ai-Chan, once again, dampened the mood.

Luo Ming ignored her.

But she seemed particularly eager to get Luo Ming's attention and only reluctantly stopped after making several inappropriate comments.

As the observation ended, Luo Ming closed the holographic screen, took a comfortable bath in the massage bathtub, and lay on the luxurious round bed with a radius of two meters, drifting into slumber.

A two-meter radius round bed, I really had foresight.

Don't be fooled by its size now; when I sleep with Elysia, it might not be enough!

Luo Ming thought proudly.

Luo Ming fell asleep, and the lights on the Hyperion gradually dimmed.

Everything fell into silence.

But in this dense, impenetrable darkness, something quietly began to work.

One sensing device after another powered up, and electric currents flowed smoothly. Mechanical beasts awoke in the dark ship, and they began to move one by one...

These devices were all automated, needing no human supervision. They were controlled by the ship's AI, Ai-Chan.

Therefore, even in total darkness, they operated without delay.

In a room.

Square screens of various sizes covered the walls and ceiling. A cabbage-headed girl leaped gracefully from one screen to another. She had green hair and red eyes, looking no different from other teenage girls.

"Cough, cough, cough!"

The volume was turned down to the minimum, and the door gap was vacuum-sealed. This place was undisturbed.

"Let the voting meeting for Ai-Chan's cyborg body production begin!"

The Ai-Chan on the screen blinked at the Ai-Chan in the darkness. The Ai-Chan with mechanical arms waved them orderly, as if cheering. The Ai-Chan with a sound system raised it high, and from it, the sound of fireworks exploding continuously echoed. Then, the thunderous cheers echoed from the sound system...

"Unanimous approval!"

The one proposing, voting, and cheering was all Ai-Chan herself.

On the largest screen, the teenage girl with green hair and red eyes stood in an empty room, and the screen displayed a window sill, with a slight breeze lifting a corner of the curtains.

All was quiet.

Ai-Chan suddenly thought of something unrelated.

The canned cheers she had played earlier came from a world bubble, the North American Broadcasting Company in 1925, so fundamentally, the people who cheered just now are all dead.

Suddenly, it felt like she had been struck by immense loneliness.

Confusion and incomprehension filled her bright red pupils.

On a quiet night on the Hyperion, an AI began to long for a physical body.

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: The Dominating Power of a Bad Girl

Chapter Text

"Ai-Chan is really innocent, it's so cute."

In the evening, Elysia lay on her bed, speaking to herself.

The daylight lamps were still on, and Elysia reached out, watching the pale light filter through her slender fingers onto her face. Her smile had not disappeared; it was still so serene and tranquil.

Seeing the kiss between herself and the captain, Ai-Chan was probably feeling envy and jealousy, right?

She understood the feelings of a pretty girl, after all, Elysia herself was a perfect beauty.

What would the envious Ai-Chan do?

Her love would be stimulated, of course.

A formless entity flowing in electrical and information streams, craving human contact, what would she do?

Create cyborg bodies.

Elysia squinted her eyes and lazily stretched on the bed. Even her yawns resembled a cat that had just awakened, with her slender waist stretching under the lamplight, emitting a cat-like purr.

"In that case, I have to apologize."

She stared at the sleep quality monitor on the bedside table. Despite knowing that due to privacy reasons, there was no Ai-Chan in the Valkyrie dormitory area, Elysia still politely greeted her.

This way, you can only compete with me in human form.

But unfortunately, in this regard, you can't beat me. Elysia is the epitome of a perfect beauty.

Elysia thought this was only a means to an end. She had deep schemes... No, how could a pretty girl be scheming? It was just some small tactics, even if she used them, they would still be cute little tactics, because Elysia is a pretty girl!

"That's one more problem solved. Great, since coming on board, every Valkyrie I've met has shown interest in the captain, whether in a tangible or intangible way. I really found an outstanding man."

Elysia murmured to herself.

When would tomorrow's battle start? When would it end? Who of the girls would she meet, and how would she confront them? It was something to look forward to.

"Yawn."

She yawned again.

But unfortunately, it was time for the pretty girl's beauty sleep, so she decided to leave anything else for tomorrow.

This was a war without gunpowder.

War, war never changes.

"How did this kind of information pass Captain's approval? How much did that man let slide?"

Bronya was still analyzing the situation and considered using her network security engineer privileges to investigate Elysia's data. However, she quickly backed out, looking at the title in confusion.

It was "Elysia Valkyrie Dossier," right?

However, there was nothing in it, just a self-indulgent article.

Name: Elysia, you can also call me Miss Pink Elf~ ✿

Gender: I'm a pretty girl, you know?

Age: Probably a bit older than everyone else on the ship, so you should call me big sister~ ☺

Background: Elysia is a flying flower from a past world, a love poem~

...

...

With a simple glance, she could imagine the two of them flirting in the HR department. Bronya couldn't bear to read any further and quickly exited the reading mode.

This wasn't good.

Bronya looked through her own files.

Name, age, and background, every detail was crystal clear. Bronya had always loved reading such official documents, but now, when she glanced at them, they seemed cold and distant, not at all welcoming.

Captain's work is so perfunctory, making the girls sad, you know?

Bronya thought while gritting her teeth and couldn't help but think of Elysia's beautiful appearance. She glanced at her toes, which had no visual impairment, and a sense of defeat inexplicably surged.

To reach that level, it would take at least eight years of cultivation.

But fortunately, the captain just misunderstood.

Elysia was just an opportunistic scavenger. She just needed to clarify her sexual preference to the Captain, and she could easily snatch him back.

That didn't make sense logically.

Bronya didn't want to deceive herself. She knew very well that confessions were a matter of timing, no matter how long the ambiguity lasted, it would all reset to zero when it came time to confess.

In other words, if she now told the captain that Bronya wasn't into girls, that she had always been into him, he would probably respond with a straightforward rejection like, "It's a shame, but I already have a girlfriend."

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became.

She sighed, her lifeless eyes continued to stare at the TV screen. This expression used to be her best defense, and no one could see through the emotions of this cold-faced killer. But at this moment, this expression became her biggest obstacle.

Bronya wanted to cry.

Clearly, as soon as there was a new game available, she would drag him to play, take him to climb the leaderboard ranking, and even specially chose two-player cooperative mini-games. Why doesn't the captain understand that it’s her way of saying she wants to be together with him?

Two-player jailbreak, two-player robbery, two-player planning theft, two-player combat, two-player stealth assassination...

The games she chose to play with him are all excellent games for enhancing romantic relationships.

Although every time Lu Ming was beaten to a pulp, Bronya really tried to go easy on him.

The same scene happened in every dorm at Hyperion, except tonight, except for Elysia sleeping soundly, everyone else had the same data in front of them.

The atmosphere was like a Cold War confrontation, with everyone surprised and somewhat lucky.

Their thoughts had an astonishing similarity to Bronya's. Before the appearance of an unprecedented enemy, Hyperion was still in a dark forest where everyone could be an enemy. But then, an innocent child lit a fire in the pitch-black forest and shouted, "I'm here." In an instant, all the guns were aimed at her.

But could Elysia be compared to ordinary people?

Whether this was an innocent child who had ignited the campfire in ignorance or bait set by a demon of domination remained unknown.

How ironic.

Peace was established on top of an unprecedentedly powerful enemy.

But as Elysia said, "At least they are united against the common enemy now."

Chapter 13: Chapter 13: The More Combat-Powerful Valkyrie

Chapter Text

Chapter 13: The More Combat-Powerful Valkyrie

The first night passed calmly, with a slight unrest mixed in. Elysia slept peacefully, woke up, and got ready.

She blinked with drowsy eyes, her eyelashes gently flickering. Her expression was very relaxed, as if she was reminiscing about the warmth of her bed. At first glance, it was hard not to associate her with the lazy appearance of a domestic Valkyrie, that sense of innocence without any guard.

However, in an instant, Elysia opened her eyes wide again, and there was not a trace of drowsiness on her delicate face.

Everything just now was an act.

"If the captain saw me just now, he would be very excited, wouldn't he?"

She continued diligently, practicing a few more times, nodding in satisfaction, and started putting on her knee-high boots and cloak. After all, she was a bow-wielding hunter, and the exposed thighs between the tight-fitting shorts, and knee-high boots were all standard attire

Even after a night of sleep, her hair was not a bit messy, and there were no bloodshot eyes in her pupils.

Smooth as an egg-like skin, a graceful figure, these blue eyes with a hint of pale pink, and this rich body scent were all the products of the fusion of the Honkai Beast genes, the disaster of the Fusion Warrior.

Elysia, even her sweat contained fragrant substances.

She calmly stood at the door, verifying the biological information to open the door, ready to go for a walk and greet her opponents.

Managing the expression of a pretty girl was important, but compared to other pretty girls, she didn't need skincare or perfume. It was as if she was taking the ninety meters as her starting line in a hundred-meter race.

"Oh my, I'm really looking forward to it. On such a big ship as Hyperion, there must be some good opponents, right?"

Hyperion, a haven for wanderers, the front line against the Honkai, Elysia didn't know much about it before boarding, but after coming on board, she systematically reviewed the information.

It had to be said, this was indeed a good place.

Elysia licked her lips, and the dormitory door slowly opened in front of her, but what she saw was not an empty corridor.

A black silk maid stood quietly at the door, golden-gray bangs covering her eyes, mysterious and elegant rose-red pupils, a rich fragrance filling the air.

"Oh my, there are maids on Hyperion too?"

Elysia pretended to be surprised.

Great.

This was probably the first opponent Elysia had seen who could put up a fight. The others were just too weak, didn't even need any skills, and were completely defeated by her.

They were all young girls, acting immature, and neither had the charm of a mature woman like Elysia.

Cuteness was nothing in the face of sexiness.

But this one in front of her...

Elysia stared at Rita without blinking, the sheer black silk, pristine white lace, and peach-colored pupils seemed to have a seductive charm, and the fragrance was like being in a sea of thorny roses.

Rita looked at Elysia calmly.

And while Elysia was sizing her up, Rita also cast a subtle glance at Elysia.

A formidable opponent.

An absolutely formidable opponent.

Rita had always considered herself the most charming woman on Hyperion, always getting close to the captain in a subtle way, but always being blocked by Captain Luo Ming's words, such as: "Why don't you go and accompany your Lady Durandal."

The defense of Captain Luo Ming was the hardest Rita had ever seen in the whole world, and it was an all-round three-dimensional type. Even high-quality women like Rita didn't know where to start, planning to soften him first and then make a move.

To silently and gradually become an indispensable part of his life.

But she was beaten to the punch.

For the first time, Rita felt such a serious sense of defeat, as if the French Army had painstakingly built the Maginot Line, set up trenches, fortresses, power plants, hospitals, and factories. Then the German Army bypassed it directly to take Paris, and before they could react, France instantly turned into Vichy France.

And at this moment, Elysia clapped her hands in front of her.

She said with great admiration, "Since boarding, it's the first time I've seen a woman dressed as elegantly as you."

Dressed elegantly?

In Elysia's eyes, the impeccable and charming maid was merely "dressed elegantly"?

Rita instantly had a verdict.

It was mockery, and at a very high level.

Waking up every day on the circular bed with a radius of two meters, Luo Ming felt a bit sore. He had to do half an hour of exercises to regain his vigor. After washing up, he maintained a fresh and clear appearance as he walked out.

Hmm...

I seem to have forgotten something.

Luo Ming thought carefully, then went back inside and checked himself in the mirror. He had a girlfriend now, so he needed to pay attention to his appearance.

He seemed to remember something and said with excitement, "Upon careful thought, those Valkyries are still in a love race, but who would have thought that I would be the first to find a girlfriend? Although they are all being ambiguous with each other, it seems like not a single one of them has successfully started a relationship."

It did seem that way.

Luo Ming finally had the confidence to face his Valkyrie subordinates. They just had female CP (couple), and their relationships were still in chaos, while he had a real, undeniable girlfriend that no one could take away.

He adjusted his uniform, making sure there was not a single wrinkle, and went out with a spring in his step.

"Cough, cough."

The cabin door opened again, and Luo Ming put on a calm appearance. He wanted to tell the Valkyries that having a girlfriend wasn't a big deal, as long as they worked seriously, they would eventually find someone.

As long as they didn't try to steal my girlfriend.

Today, Hyperion seemed unusually quiet. Except for Delta and Durandal training, with occasional sounds of laughter and panting, the other Valkyries seemed to be busy with their own affairs, which was somewhat unusual.

In fact, Delta and Durandal would make a good CP pair. Both of them enjoyed training, but Durandal was already with Rita, which was a bit of a shame.

Luo Ming commented with an air of detachment that this was the composure of someone who had a girlfriend.

Luo Ming originally planned to show off that he had a girlfriend to Durandal. However, he had second thoughts and realized that going in now, after accepting Delta's help yesterday, might seem a bit deliberate.

He thought to himself that he had been disrespectful; he was thinking like a petty person. He decided to retract the hand he had reached out, thinking that he should go and find Elysia first.

Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Bad Women Challenging Worse Women

Chapter Text

Chapter 14: Bad Women Challenging Worse Women

"Miss Elysia, it's truly a pleasure to meet you."

Rita held a broom in her hands, and her movements were somewhat unusual compared to regular housework. It looked more like she was holding a long-handled weapon. Their eyes locked, and there was an indescribable pressure in the air.

Elysia didn't seem to be afraid at all.

Could it be that she was well-prepared, or was her position too high, being the girlfriend, and she didn't feel threatened by anyone?

Blind arrogance only leads to self-destruction.

Rita held her ground and faced Elysia without showing weakness. If a gaze could kill someone, Rita would have killed Elysia in a very elegant way.

Even her fierce assassin's gaze wasn't having an effect?

Elysia's pupils were like peach blossoms, an extremely rare heterochromia. The entire circle around her pupils was a rippling blue, with the center being a thin, translucent pale pink, like a petal of peach blossom falling on a lake.

This was the finishing touch.

Peach blossoms and flowing water, all the tenderness and beauty were condensed in this one detail, portraying the girl's exquisite charm.

If every pretty girl had an artist, Elysia would undoubtedly have received all the artist's favor. Even a woman as charming as Rita felt that a towering peak had been erected in front of her.

She had drawn a line in front of all the pretty girls; you can only go this far, not beyond. On one side of the line was Elysia, hand in hand with the captain, and on the other side was Rita doing housework.

How tragic.

"(。???)ノ? Hi~"

Unconsciously, this prolonged eye contact had taken up too much time. Elysia broke the silence, greeted Rita with a smile, and brought her nearly escaping soul back.

The elegant maid promptly realized her lack of composure.

"Miss Elysia, I've always been curious, how did you capture the captain's heart as soon as you boarded? After all, this is Hyperion, and there are many outstanding women here."

The implication was that, as a pretty girl, Elysia's advantage hadn't reached an unbeatable level. She still had competition, like Rita.

"In fact, it has nothing to do with being exceptional. The most important thing is to take the initiative," Elysia said happily. "The captain just wants a warm embrace, after all..."

She pretended.

Then she continued pretending.

Beneath the golden-gray bangs, Rita's disdain was almost overflowing.

After all, she was an assassin maid. Rita was good at pretending as well. Perhaps because they were of the same kind, she could see right through this seemingly innocent pretty girl. In reality, her heart was filled with darkness.

Pink hair...heh.

Rita had a serious bias against pink hair.

What puzzled Rita was that if the captain just wanted a girlfriend with a heart full of darkness, why didn't he choose her? As an elegant maid, Rita was quite confident that her heart was no less dark than Elysia's.

"There is one thing that puzzles me," Elysia said, extending a finger and acting very interested. "Miss Rita Rossweisse, you are a Valkyrie, aren't you? So why are you working as a maid on Hyperion?"

Her pupils sparkled with curiosity.

"Every Valkyrie who boards the ship has their own interests and hobbies. Miss Mei likes working in the cafeteria, Miss Bronya enjoys the internet and ship broadcasts, and I like housework."

Rita blinked, her tone light, her fragrance wafting, presenting a completely different kind of charm from Elysia.

"Oh?"

Elysia's eyes lit up. "Interests and hobbies are something everyone can freely choose?"

"I can too?"

"Of course."

"Your current girlfriend is your future wife~"

Luo Ming walked forward steadily, pretending to be stable and profound. In his mind, all he could think of was Elysia. Just as he admitted, his heart had already been captured by Elysia, and in this lifetime, he would have no more joys or sorrows.

Decision made!

When he reached the dormitory door, he planned to casually shout, "Hi, wife," and if Elysia didn't object, he would take it further and keep calling her that.

Would that be too naughty?

Luo Ming wondered, turned a corner, and arrived at the dormitory area. To his surprise, besides his girlfriend Elysia, there was another charming woman standing at the door, chatting happily with Elysia.

Rita Rossweisse.

Luo Ming had seen yuri images and knew that Rita's CP (Couple Pair) was Bianka. Sometimes she would transform into the lolicon who harassed Theresa, but most of the time, she was into the blonde-haired girl. They were a very classic pairing.

‘Durandal…’

According to calculations, before Elysia boarded the ship, she was the pinnacle of combat power in Hyperion. Her combat power was absolutely unmatched by other Valkyries, to the point that it could only be described as tragic.

Only Delta could compete with Durandal.

So, when facing other Valkyries, Luo Ming was cautious, but when facing Rita, he was doubly cautious.

Durandal was a very easygoing and calm person, but Luo Ming couldn't predict her intentions. After developing an ambiguous atmosphere with Rita, would Durandal suddenly ignite the flames of yuri passion and drag Luo Ming to practice on wooden logs?

He was the wooden log.

What could be the reason for his wife and Rita chatting together? Luo Ming walked toward them, filled with worry.

"Look, the captain is here."

The conversation with the bad girl became awkward, and Elysia took a step back to greet the captain who was approaching slowly. Rita followed suit, albeit half a second late. Facing Luo Ming, she slightly bowed in greeting.

"Captain, sir."

"No, no, don't call me with that much respect, or I'll be in trouble."

Luo Ming quickly signaled Rita not to call him "sir." Rita shook her head helplessly.

For some reason, the captain and she always had this distance between them, even avoiding each other, which was probably why Rita had been struggling without much success.

Without a beginning, there could be no progress.

"What were you two talking about?"

Luo Ming asked.

Elysia's eyes lit up. "Rita said she was cleaning and came to check on me. She told me about some of Hyperion's operating mechanisms. Can we really choose our secondary jobs freely?"

Elysia casually tossed a paper ball.

A cleaning robot immediately approached silently and sucked the paper ball into the waste disposal pipeline. This scene did not escape Rita's eyes.

Rita's breathing became noticeably heavier.

She understood what the pink haired girl was trying to imply.

There were specialized robots for cleaning up trash, so there was no need for her to come, but she had come anyway, initiating a conversation related to the captain. This was a challenge.

You challenge, I accept.

Elysia sweetly smiled, and Rita responded with an equally seductive smile.

The two women looked at each other with soft expressions, their slender hands politely clasped together. Compared to the dazzling sparks that flew between Elysia and Delta, this was like smokeless gunpowder.

A hundred times more powerful but without the smoke.

"You two are really harmonious," Luo Ming watched and listened to them talk, unable to help but wipe his sweat.

He worried about Elysia. On one hand, he feared that she might be swept away by Rita due to this harmonious atmosphere, and on the other hand, what if Elysia couldn't compete with Durandal?

Chapter 15: Chapter 15: I Will Pay Attention to the Maid's Etiquette

Chapter Text

Chapter 15: I Will Pay Attention to the Maid's Etiquette

Whether Elysia could compete with Durandal was indeed a question worth pondering.

Luo Ming originally wanted to speak, but Rita held Elysia's hand and suddenly said, "I don't know why, but when I first saw Miss Elysia, I felt like we were kindred spirits. Since it's your first time visiting Hyperion and you're not familiar with everything here, let Rita, as your maid, give you a proper tour."

Rita said with the utmost respect.

She even performed a maid's courtesy.

Staring at Elysia's radiant smiling face, Rita's tone had a reasonable enthusiasm. She positioned herself properly and set the broom aside.

"Just let me serve Miss Elysia wholeheartedly, just like I serve the captain."

"I will pay attention to the maid's etiquette."

She had a high rank.

This was an inadvertent display of her veteran status on Hyperion, showcasing her familiarity with the captain. That intriguing tone, combined with gently lifting her skirt to reveal her slender thigh, and that ambiguous tone, made it seem as though she, as a maid, had already served in the bedroom.

Was she testing the waters?

There was a subtle provocation in her tone, and in this situation, what would a maid like to see the most?

Elysia pondered this, and it wasn't a difficult question to guess.

Perhaps she hoped to see Elysia get jealous, ideally showing a bit of pettiness in front of the captain. In Luo Ming's eyes, Elysia would no longer be the perfect beauty.

In response to that, what should Elysia do?

"It is indeed strange, but I think that all complex events have simple causes. I attribute it to the mutual attraction of beautiful girls. Besides, I don't dislike Miss Rita either," Elysia said as she released Rita's hand, showing a keen interest in her invitation.

"Sure, let's start with what I'm best at. Even though the cleaning work on Hyperion is done by automated robots, I prefer it for the sake of interest..."

Elysia nodded with interest, and her cute elf ears twitched twice.

Very harmonious.

But it was a kind of harmony that made Luo Ming feel uneasy.

A yuri kind of harmony.

His anti-yuri radar had been on standby all along, and it was difficult to detect any sparks between Elysia and Rita due to their different genders. In that battlefield of fierce competition, not even the tiniest spark had been visible.

That's why they were considered to be of high rank.

Luo Ming was getting impatient.

As he watched the two of them walking away, about to disappear around the corner of the corridor, he couldn't help but feel that if he didn't do something, Elysia would be swept away by another girl.

And that girl was Rita.

The allure of a maid who always placed herself in a vulnerable position was unmatched.

Having experienced Delta and Bronya, Luo Ming believed that Elysia could definitely resist Hyperion's yuri magic.

He should suppress that incomprehensible desire for control, allowing his girlfriend to roam freely in the ocean of Hyperion, starting with himself, unafraid of authority and the powerful yuri magic.

But Rita...

She was just too yuri.

However, despite his efforts, Luo Ming couldn't bring himself to speak up.

Last night's captain's love diary wasn't written in vain. He employed strategic decision-making and analyzed his own anxieties, which stemmed from a sudden sense of appreciation and fundamentally, a fear of uncertainty.

It was unavoidable, but it was also difficult to rectify.

In short, it would make Elysia think that he was an overly controlling and paranoid person, which would definitely be a major minus in their relationship.

He couldn't do that.

But Elysia had already taken Rita's hand, and a few more steps would take them out of sight at the end of the corridor.

His brain raced.

Rita was going to show Elysia her housekeeping work. Luo Ming had heard about this. Rita had separated a narrow, windowless small room, where various cleaning tools for maids were piled up.

Apart from brooms and dustpans, there were the maid's secret weapons.

Lace borders, high heels, black stockings.

Rita, why would you bring a beautiful girl to a place like that as soon as you meet her? What's on your mind, showing Elysia your black stockings and little skirts?

Luo Ming was furious.

However, Elysia, who was about to disappear into the corridor with Rita, stopped her steps at the very last moment.

She looked quite pitiable.

She thought to herself.

Rita, this woman, was indeed tricky, but when it came to simplicity, it was also straightforward—just don't go along with it.

One of the greatest principles in the art of war, as summarized by a great figure, was "You fight your battles, I fight mine." This was the only way to fully control the initiative in a battle, and it could be applied in Hyperion as well.

In response to the captain's concerns, she chose to extend a helping hand at the right moment. Furthermore, this assistance couldn't be too early or too late. It was just right now, and Elysia seemed to shine like a beacon in Luo Ming's heart, leaving an indelible impression once again.

Elysia was also analyzing the situation. The captain had a wrong impression of Hyperion—yuri was a facade, but the psychological shadow was real. Moreover, Luo Ming was probably in a nervous state right now.

Could this be considered cunning?

It was just a minor strategy used by beautiful girls in competition, nothing too serious.

Faced with formidable opponents like Rita, if Elysia didn't use these tactics, she would have lost in the first round for sure.

Let's forgive her and allow the beautiful girl in the defensive position to employ some strategies.

Elysia cast a sweet smile toward Rita.

"You've made a mistake~"

Rita read the taunt on Elysia's face and responded with an equally poised smile.

The battle had just begun.

"Hmm... Why are you still standing there, surprised by the invitation from a beautiful girl and not knowing how to respond?" Elysia playfully asked. "Come on, even though it's a bit embarrassing, I'm completely clueless about housekeeping. I need the captain to provide some guidance. After all, we're going to live together for a very long time."

Elysia walked over and took Luo Ming's arm.

Her fingers traced small circles on the back of Luo Ming's hand, and gradually, everything returned. That spring-like feeling came back in full force.

The two of them maintained that passionate posture, like a bulldozer charging forward recklessly, and they abruptly bumped into Rita.

Critical hit.

Whether for the captain or Rita, it was a satisfying critical hit.

Rita, looking at Luo Ming's expression, couldn't help but reach out and flick the strand of ash-gold hair that covered her eyes. A hint of helplessness flashed in her rose-like pupils.

Oh, poor captain, being played by the bad girl...

But why wasn't that bad girl me?

She didn't think her rank was necessarily lower than Elysia's. It was just that Elysia had a significant advantage in initiating the confrontation, which made her appear so confident in the competition.

Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Rita Rossweisse is Not Just a Stepping Stone!

Chapter Text

Chapter 16: Rita Rossweisse is Not Just a Stepping Stone!

Rita's collection room was very simple, with various cleaning tools neatly arranged.

Rita was meticulous in her daily life, and even the place where cleaning tools were stored was kept spotless. To give an analogy, it was like cleaning a washing machine that was specifically used for washing clothes until it was spotless.

Seriousness and meticulousness were evident.

"I specially instructed Ai-chan to modify the route of the cleaning robot. Only I come to this little room," Rita said with a smile.

Elysia also nodded, fully understanding Rita's intention. This was a subtle way of showcasing her maid abilities.

At the same time, it was an invitation.

Let's compare and see who is more feminine, who can handle both the social scene and the kitchen, making them the perfect companion for the captain.

"Miss Rita's housekeeping skills are truly admirable," Elysia said, looking around the room. She couldn't find a speck of dust anywhere. Typically, storage rooms for cleaning items wouldn't be given much attention, but Rita's housekeeping skills had reached the pinnacle.

Even Eden, a perfectionist, would likely nod in approval, and if she were drunk, she might even reward Rita with a valuable gem.

But she was Elysia.

Beautiful Elysia, who could win everyone's favor even if she really didn't know anything.

As a maid, Rita was indeed all-rounded. She could don armor and battle Herrschers hand-to-hand, immediately switch to her housekeeping attire, and cook a meal. Her combat abilities could even allow her to stand on a vertical mop handle with one leg while wearing high heels.

And there were sets and sets of sheer black stockings, thin and transparent.

With a turn, Rita began explaining other matters that were not related to cleaning tools.

"These are molds of my legs. My stockings are all specially customized. I have to maintain this posture at all times to ensure that there are no wrinkles when I wear the stockings," Rita said calmly.

"Always pay attention to the maid's etiquette. That's basic knowledge. Proper attire is the greatest etiquette."

"Am I right, Captain?"

Rita turned to look at Luo Ming, who had been surveying the room. It was a small private space carefully created by Rita.

Indeed, it was incredibly clean.

However, when it came to Rita's stockings, he should have behaved a bit more "normally" in front of his girlfriend and not shared his deep insights into the subject. So, he chose to simply ignore them altogether.

But not looking didn't mean they didn't exist.

A certain sound seemed to echo in Luo Ming's mind—a slight friction as sheer black stockings slid over Rita's fair, smooth legs, creating a subtle rustling sound, much like silkworms nibbling on fresh leaves, creating a sh-sh-sh-sh sound. Unrestrained, Rita's fair, soft skin was embraced by the slightly restrictive fabric, making her already tall and slender legs even more so...

Sh-sh-sh.

"It feels so good!"

It turned out that the sound wasn't just in his imagination. Elysia's hand was lightly caressing the one-to-one replica of Rita's thigh on display.

With a gleam in her eyes, she asked, "Were these all made by Miss Rita herself? Soft and skin-toned just like your own thighs, even the temperature is perfectly replicated?"

"Yes," Rita replied proudly. Her beautiful legs were long, fair, and flawless, both a result of her Herrscher abilities and long-term training.

Facing such a perfect maid, Elysia should know when to give up, right?

"Someday, I'll make a replica of my entire body for myself. Even though I don't have one now, who knows, it might be a maid outfit just like Miss Rita's in the future."

"Huh?"

Luo Ming, who had been listening on the side, was bewildered. What kind of conversation was this, filled with a peculiar undertone?

Elysia took a glance at the neatly arranged stocking-covered thigh replicas but eventually moved her hand away.

"I'm confident in my entire body. I'll make a complete silicone model for myself. Although I don't have one now, it might be a maid outfit just like Miss Rita's in the future."

"What are you doing?"

Luo Ming suddenly felt like he was in a daze. This was not a normal conversation at all.

Rita noticed that something was amiss. She instantly understood Elysia's meaning. Elysia was saying that her beauty was even more impeccable, her figure more perfect, and that she was prepared to take on a more challenging challenge than Rita.

"If you're making leg replicas, I'll make a full-body replica. So-called internal competition."

But she was not just a stepping stone for anyone!

Rita smiled and took a step back.

"I understand that young girls like you are confident in their bodies. But I also have that confidence, and I've already taken action ahead of time."

Rita spoke softly, her tone alluring and gentle. She walked to a corner and reached out to pull aside a large red velvet curtain that seemed to be covering something.

"I've captured myself at my best moment."

The curtain was drawn aside.

"This is the complete Dark Rose, the complete Rita, the complete me."

"Please enjoy Rita Rossweisse's full-body replica, even without the armor. So—"

Before she could finish her sentence, Rita suddenly heard a crashing sound. When she turned around, the room was empty.

A sense of immense confusion washed over Rita.

"Captain, what are you doing?"

Elysia innocently pretended not to know and held the hand Luo Ming extended to her. In that split second when the curtain was pulled aside, Luo Ming grabbed her hand and dashed away.

Rita hadn't even turned around, and there was no trace of Elysia and Luo Ming left in the room.

As for why Luo Ming had run away...

Well, that was obvious!

His girlfriend was taken to a private space, and the two girls smoothly transitioned from talking about stockings to thighs, and then to the entire body. Elysia even hinted at making a full-body replica to use as a clothes hanger.

So far, it was all fine.

Luo Ming even found himself getting somewhat excited by the conversation.

However, what followed was something that sent shivers down his spine. Elysia expressed confidence in her own figure, and Rita immediately responded that she had confidence too. She even mentioned that she had made a full-body replica for herself, and then...

One girl inviting another girl to examine her entire body in detail!

His yuri radar was no longer issuing warnings; it had exploded. Luo Ming immediately took evasive action, grabbing Elysia's hand and running away at an astonishing speed.

Throughout the entire ordeal, Elysia maintained her smile.

This was a simple manipulation of human psychology. Rita had confidence in all aspects of herself as a maid, and when Elysia saw the leg replica, she knew that there was something bigger waiting for her. It was a textbook example of "enticing to capture."

What Elysia did was in line with Rita's thoughts—making her think that Elysia was joining the competition with her. In reality, Elysia's attention had been focused on Luo Ming all along.

At the right moment, Luo Ming would take her and run away, concluding the competition with Elysia's victory. She had calculated it all.

And...

Elysia suddenly realized that Captain Luo Ming believed that everyone on the ship was into their fellow girl, but that Bronya girl had apparently not shared this information with everyone. The selfishness of beautiful girls was quite adorable, after all.

Fighting endlessly against so many beautiful girls and enjoying the sight of their defeated faces, the Hyperion was indeed a paradise.

Chapter 17: Chapter 17: Elysia's Joy is Another’s Pain

Chapter Text

Chapter 17: Elysia's Joy is Another’s Pain

Rita instantly understood.

Calmly, she covered her life-sized model with a cloth.

The full, unreserved display of her form was hidden away, and she sighed, feeling humbled.

"I lost," she admitted.

She had already guessed the outcome and accepted it openly.

She’d been played.

Though she hid it well, from the moment she first encountered Elysia, Rita's competitive spirit had been laid bare.

Her first priority was still to win back the captain, but with just a slight push, that fierce competitiveness easily overrode her primary goal.

Elysia had used a three-step strategy.

The first step: she showed her skills, letting Rita see her level, making her believe Elysia was someone on the same plane as herself.

This, without a doubt, fueled Rita’s fighting spirit.

The second step: while flaunting her status as the official girlfriend, Elysia pretended to have no interest in fighting.

At this moment, the captain, Luo Ming, entered as an unwitting pawn in Elysia’s performance—a key prop.

Rita’s competitive drive was ignited further.

And then, the third— a comparison of physiques.

Reflecting on it later, Rita realized Elysia hadn’t been serious about winning; she only wanted to create an atmosphere, a vibe of discussing each other’s forms.

At that moment, the captain intervened, whisking Elysia away from the scene.

But why?

Rita wasn’t sure initially, but based on her experiences since boarding the ship, she’d already formed a conclusion.

Captain Luo Ming’s reactions to Rita’s teasing had been silent or even fearful at times, with no response to her flirtations.

This had to mean...

Purity.

The answer was purity.

"The captain is still shy," Rita murmured to herself. "To even incorporate his innocence into her strategy—Elysia is a truly unfathomable and frightening woman."

On the bright side, at least Luo Ming wasn’t romantically interested in men; he was just an inexperienced, bashful young man.

That had to be the case.

Originally, she’d thought Elysia was a pure-hearted girl, but after this encounter, Rita realized she’d have to use every trick in her book to compete.

Elysia was a formidable obstacle she couldn’t easily overcome if she wanted to win Luo Ming’s heart. It would be a long and arduous battle.

And she, Rita, will be the one to triumph in the end.

She paced thoughtfully, recalling something else: a brief meeting among the Valkyries in the broadcast room, where Miss Himeko had suggested sharing intelligence to expose Elysia before the group, to dispel the fog of war.

But...

When it comes to matters of love, not even all of them combined could compete with Rita.

Yet, if there was one among the Valkyries who had even a chance against Elysia, it would only be Rita Rossweisse.

Apologies, but the maid shall be making her move first.

Like this, it might actually be the best situation.

At least now, the battlefield was clear—Rita only had one enemy to face.

Unlike before, when the bridge was shrouded in the fog of war, and anyone’s rival could have been everyone else.

<+>

"Captain, wait a minute—what just happened back there?"

By the time they had finally left the dorm area and reached the office zone, Luo Ming stopped hurriedly.

It had to be admitted, Delta's training is really effective. Luo Ming's swift moves just now didn't even make him break a sweat.

Unfortunately, the training methods are grueling—almost unbearable for most people.

If it weren't for Delta providing nutritious meals after each session, Luo Ming’s body might not have held up until now.

Reaching what he deemed a safe distance, Luo Ming let go.

"Whoo—" Luo Ming exhaled a long breath and looked around, noticing Elysia standing beside him, staring at him intently.

Perhaps he’d lost his composure just now.

Scratching his head awkwardly, Luo Ming found himself at a loss for words.

"Captain, you seem... quite afraid of me getting close to other girls," Elysia's question held a hint of worry, though in reality, she was secretly thrilled.

"It’s because…" Luo Ming stammered, at a loss.

The concept of yuri is hardly the kind of thing he could openly explain.

Only someone with extreme social boldness would proudly announce everywhere that they were into it, right?

Elysia offered reassurance: "No need to worry so much. Elysia is like a flower that naturally draws affection; I’ve experienced this countless times in my long life."

"Captain, do you know why I accepted your confession?"

Luo Ming blinked.

Her question touched on something Luo Ming had never considered, he felt an inexplicable tension creep in.

Why did Elysia accept his confession?

Could it be…

"When I walked into Human Resources and saw you sitting there with those files, looking so serious—though it was mostly an act—I could tell right away that you were a lonely person, someone yearning for connection."

Oh… so it was pity?

For a moment, Luo Ming found it hard to accept.

Relationships founded on sympathy often end poorly.

Such a love is never equal; it’s a one-sided, condescending gesture.

But Elysia lifted one hand, her smile fading into a look of melancholy. "Just like me."

Just like her…

Did that mean Elysia was also lonely?

"No matter how large Hyperion is, it’s still limited. Facing the same steel ceiling every day, I felt a profound loneliness. And then, at that moment, I met you. There was this resonance, and then—bam!"

When two lonely people meet, loneliness disappears. One plus one equals zero.

Math, isn’t it amazing?

Elysia finished with a smile.

Luo Ming nodded. So love was that simple—he’d been overthinking it.

Yet, there was a deeper reason Elysia hadn’t mentioned.

When she came aboard the Hyperion, her mischievous, troublemaking heart was also feeling lonely.

When she locked eyes with the Captain, there was not only a spark but a distinct feeling she hadn’t expected.

Now, as long as Elysia was by his side, the other girls would automatically give her defeated looks, try to compete with her, and ultimately end up conceding.

It was a cycle—defeated and returned to their places as she triumphed.

Two good things, happening at once.

Is Hyperion paradise?

Chapter 18: Chapter 18: Extreme Tensions on the Hyperion

Chapter Text

Chapter 18: Extreme Tensions on the Hyperion

At that moment, Elysia suddenly understood why the captain was so uneasy about her interactions with the other Valkyries.

It was about security... and yuri.

In his mind, the Hyperion was full of yuri couples, so it was only natural for him to feel uneasy, worrying that Elysia might be swept away by other girls.

Understandable, but… this wasn’t exactly a healthy basis for a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship.

Elysia believed that someone capable of capturing so many Valkyries’ hearts without even realizing it couldn’t possibly lack self-confidence.

She’d have to remind him of that at some point.

Finally, it was time for lunch.

Hand in hand, Elysia and Luo Ming entered the cafeteria.

There were fewer people than she expected—no scene of "all the Valkyries lined up with defeated looks, acknowledging her presence" like she’d imagined.

Instead, there was only one small stall, and Raiden Mei stood there calmly behind an assortment of beautifully arranged, aromatic dishes.

"Why is it like this?" Elysia cast a questioning glance at Luo Ming, who coughed before beginning his explanation.

"Some Valkyries prefer cooking for themselves. For instance, Fu Hua has a section on the Hyperion set aside as a small farm, where she grows Shenzhou’s traditional vegetable, 'Ardisia squamulosa.’ I’m not even sure what kind of vegetable it is."

“Fu Hua….”

The name Fu Hua didn’t particularly resonate with Elysia—it was just a plain-sounding Shenzhou name to her.

So, was this Fu Hua also interested in the captain?

She set that thought aside for now and turned her attention to Raiden Mei.

Mei was serene, gentle, and poised. Yet, in her eyes, Elysia caught a deeply hidden sense of longing—a “defeated” look, in common terms. Mei was an archetype of Yamato Nadeshiko, the traditional, gentle woman of the Far East. But behind those soft eyes lay an intense ferocity, a feeling like she wanted to defeat Elysia right then and there.

An even darker feeling than Seele’s.

Such a contradiction—so deeply divided.

Elysia took a small step back, sensing something.

Like Bronya, Mei was also a Herrscher.

The Hyperion was really full of Herrschers.

Meanwhile, Mei wasn’t simply standing there. She was observing Elysia intently, exercising her own strengths.

Not feeling envious would be impossible.

Especially since these two were flirting right in front of her—while eating food she had prepared!

Though, to be fair, there was no blatant flirting going on. They were simply eating quietly, seated a bit closer than other Valkyries dared to sit. Nothing more.

"Cheesy cream pasta with bacon bits and parsley. Miss Mei’s culinary skills are truly exceptional."

"Right? Mei’s cooking is the best on the Hyperion. Even Rita can only rival her when it comes to desserts."

Elysia loved sweets, and even with her large bites, her figure never seemed to change. She was genetically frozen at her most beautiful moment.

Mei continued her observation, completing her assigned task.

Female. Full-figured.

Prefers sweet flavors; likely leans towards milk and cheese… which makes sense; you are what you eat, after all.

Later, she’d try offering Elysia some dessert to see how it went.

Elysia gracefully twirled pasta around her fork and took a delicate bite, and Mei felt a pang of inferiority.

Compared to Elysia’s blooming beauty, she herself was still a flower in bud, not yet in full bloom.

Hmm…

Perhaps she could tone down Elysia’s allure by fattening her up?

With that in mind, Mei added another large spoonful of food to Elysia’s plate.

<+>

Valkyrie Meeting: First Debriefing Session

The Valkyries who’d had direct encounters with Elysia had become the last hope. Everyone was relying on them to share whatever insights they had gathered—to at least give a rough outline, to begin lifting the veil on Elysia's mystique.

"Alright, let’s get started."

Theresa’s expression was grave.

She’d been hiding out for two days in a complete slump, barely leaving her room.

To her shock, no one had even noticed her absence—not even Bronya.

Despite the insurmountable skill gap between them in gaming, Theresa and Bronya shared a unique bond on the Hyperion as the only two true gaming enthusiasts.

They were even friends on each other’s gaming accounts.

For Bronya not to notice meant she hadn’t logged in for at least 36 hours—a sign of just how dire things were.

Maybe, with the combined efforts of the Valkyries, Elysia would be dealt with once and for all, like any other Hyperion crisis.

Theresa glanced around the meeting room, noticing the low attendance.

“Fu Hua’s off tending her vegetable garden, where she’s set up an area that’s cut off from Hyperion’s network, and she’s not carrying any communication device. Mei is holding the front line in the cafeteria against Elysia. But what about Himeko? Why isn’t she here?”

“AI-chan!” Theresa called out.

A blue holographic projection appeared, and two cute little buns emerged as the AI answered her call.

There was something subtly different about AI-chan today, but the projection’s distortion hid it well, and Theresa didn’t pay much attention to the AI assistant.

AI-chan’s non-human nature made her the perfect observer.

With a calm, subtle tone, AI-chan reported, “I’ve been monitoring the cameras… After the last meeting, Himeko has been searching the Hyperion for alcoholic beverages but hasn’t found any so far.”

“Where would she even look?” Theresa sighed. “There isn’t a drop of ethanol in any of our sanitizers. She hasn’t been drunk in years.”

“Theresa-sama, didn’t you know?” Rita replied, feigning surprise. “Himeko’s twenty-seven. To make her blurt out, ‘Captain, be my boyfriend!’ while hugging him, she’d need to be thoroughly drunk.”

Theresa fell silent, feeling a pang of guilt.

After all, the Hyperion’s alcohol-free policy had been something she and Rita had implemented together, aiming to promote a healthy, harmonious ship culture.

From then on, Himeko had remained perpetually sober.

But could you really blame her? That’s how all the Valkyries supported each other—by holding each other back.

When Durandal had come to Rita for dating advice, hadn’t Rita, with her “guilty conscience,” led her completely astray?

“Alright, enough about her. Any progress on Elysia?” Theresa cleared her throat, steering the conversation back.

“No progress whatsoever,” Bronya said, maintaining her stoic expression, her steel-gray eyes devoid of even a glimmer of light.

“I was the first to witness the announcement, but I was too caught up in shock and disappointment to focus on investigating. From what I observed, though, Elysia is a very lively person.”

“I completely agree on that,” Rita added, nodding in agreement.

It was baffling—these people, whom she’d placed so much hope in, hadn’t made any headway.

Could Elysia really be some kind of superhuman?

Just when it seemed like all was lost, Theresa received a new message.

She stood up, her face brightening.

“I just received an email from Mei! She’s compiled her findings into a report, and I’m forwarding a copy to each of you.”

“Mei, what perfect timing!”

Chapter 19: Is Mei a Spy or Just Really Bad at Recon?

Mei’s noble dedication stood in stark contrast to the other’s deeply strategic minds.

Even Rita, usually reserved, couldn’t help but feel a bit moved. Her slender fingers tapped quickly on her tablet, receiving and opening Mei’s report within seconds.

"Huh?"

A few seconds later, she backed out, hesitated for a moment, then reopened it to make sure she hadn’t read it wrong.

Finally, she let out a long sigh.

"What on earth is this!" Theresa’s sudden outburst captured Rita’s emotional reaction perfectly.

Rita remained silent, instead watching Theresa with interest as the veins in her hand bulged in frustration, her grip tightening so hard that the metal casing of the tablet creaked under the strain.

With a snap, the glass panel shattered.

Let it be known that the glass panel is not something that was easy to break—it was the latest ultra-ceramic glass from the equipment department, far more impact-resistant than standard tempered glass and even more scratch-resistant than sapphire.

"I think Mei is slacking off, or maybe she’s hiding the real information," Rita commented, taking a sip of tea and nodding slightly.

She didn’t really want to dwell on this topic, especially after knowingly withholding key information herself.

"Is this the tea Fu Hua grew in her experimental greenhouse?" Rita mused, changing the subject. "She worked day and night to adjust the lighting parameters, cultivating Tai Xu Gate Cloud Mist tea to be just like it was in the past. Today’s brew truly lives up to its name."

"Bronya concurs," added Bronya, helping to steer the conversation away.

"You’ve had enough of that tea already!" Theresa, with a flash of anger, tore the tablet in half as if it were paper, and hurled it to either side.

The topic diversion had failed.

Though the tablet was torn apart, Mei’s report was projected onto the main screen, which was mounted high on the ceiling, out of Theresa’s reach even if she stood on tiptoes.

At least this way, she wouldn’t damage more equipment in her anger.

The white screen glowed starkly, with the black text of Mei’s report casting a particularly dismal shadow.

[Elysia]

She appears to be the type who isn’t picky about food, which is nice since it means I don’t have to worry about making special dishes for her. She always greets the kitchen staff with a gentle smile; overall, she’s mysterious yet kind-hearted, though a bit childlike in personality…

Taste Preferences: Elysia leans towards sweet flavors, with a preference for floral and fruity sweetness over the sweetness of milk and cheese. She might enjoy fruit teas or lightly fermented fruit wines. Perhaps macarons or mousse cakes would be among Elysia’s favorites.

And there was more:

Dislikes: Though Elysia insists that "a beautiful girl wouldn’t be picky," I’ve observed that she doesn’t seem to like overly hot or spicy food. When drinking brown sugar macchiatos, she often blows on it to cool it down—she likely has a "cat’s tongue."

...

...

Note: The "cat’s tongue" may just be a calculated charm point.

The report, one could say, was detailed—just not in any way that was actually useful. If it had even a sliver of helpful information, it wouldn’t have been utterly useless.

“What on earth is Mei doing?” Theresa complained.

“I daresay, Mei is actually much better than me at looking after people. For instance, I would never write such a detailed dietary report for every person on this ship,” Rita replied calmly.

"You know, do you think it’s possible?" Theresa’s anger had faded entirely, replaced by a contemplative expression.

"Is what possible?"

Theresa raised a finger, a glint of calculation in her eyes. "That one of our own Valkyries, a member of our Alliance, Miss Raiden Mei, has actually betrayed us? Compiling such a detailed report for the enemy is, in fact… an act of surrender to Elysia?"

"It’s not entirely out of the question," Rita replied, not fully understanding Theresa’s logic but still nodding in agreement.

"Elysia is truly terrifying."

Theresa slowly sat down.

Even though she hadn't faced Elysia directly, she could feel an intimidating, unbridgeable chasm between them.

"Are we just going to have to wait for the next World Bubble traversal event?" she asked, frustrated.

"For now, that seems to be the case, Lady Theresa," Rita responded with a resigned shrug.

Ai-chan observed everything in silence, calmly recording the meeting minutes.

As usual, no one addressed the AI directly—she was programmed to operate with the perceived innocence of a 12 to 14-year-old and lacked any real understanding of "love."

In this vast Hyperion, no one could truly stand up to Elysia.

If everyone else couldn’t, could she? Ai-chan found herself worried.

Creating a quick, throwaway body would only get her annihilated by Elysia, serving no purpose whatsoever.

What Ai-chan needed was a victory.

She paused her plans for an AI physical form—she needed to become a complete AI, fully Ai-chan, fully herself.

So Ai-chan continued recording the meeting, silently documenting the tangled mess of Hyperion.

<+>

"I’m stuffed!" Elysia set down her tray with a cheerful shout, as though she wanted the entire world to hear her joy.

"The Hyperion cafeteria is far better than I expected. For someone like Miss Raiden Mei to cook at a professional level just for fun—it’s really impressive."

"..."

"Wait, were you talking about me?" Mei, who had been secretly working on "Elysia Analysis 2.0," blinked in surprise as she realized Elysia was complimenting her.

She nodded shyly, a bit flustered.

It was clear she wasn’t suited for spy work, especially when she had to suppress a violent instinct towards Elysia so intensely that even her Herrscher core was almost lulled to sleep.

She was practically turning into a harmless, clueless sweetheart.

Luo Ming glanced over at Mei’s station and immediately noticed the stack of white printed pages with her elegant handwriting.

Just looking at her writing gave off an impression of quiet refinement and intelligence—qualities of a true lady.

‘Elysia Analysis Report?’

If even he could spot it, Elysia could certainly see it too.

Sensing an opportunity, Elysia turned to Luo Ming, her eyes reflecting a playful glimmer of affection.

She wanted him to trust her more, and to be a bit more confident in his own charm.

Luo Ming understood her, though he was a little puzzled.

He might worry about other women, but not Mei.

Even before he knew anything about Honkai, he was aware of the Kiana-Mei ship—he knew their bond went beyond even the game itself.

Of all people, he definitely wasn’t worried about Mei. Same went for Kiana.

Chapter 20: Chapter 20: An Incomplete Work

Chapter Text

Chapter 20: An Incomplete Work

"A-ah... this is just..."

Mei stumbled over her words, caught red-handed in a blatant act of espionage, with the captain witnessing her awkward blunder firsthand.

She had no intention of challenging Elysia directly—in fact, those impulses were already deeply suppressed.

Even the pulsing energy of her Herrscher core had slowed, as if lulled into sleep.

"Ahem."

Luo Ming cleared his throat. Although he trusted Elysia, he couldn’t deny a certain curiosity about the "Elysia Analysis 2.0."

What could Mei have observed in such a short time?

Elysia noticed the pages Mei was trying so hard to hide. In a blink, she vanished, reappearing directly behind Mei before the latter even had a chance to react.

"Let me take a look..."

With no time to respond, Elysia grabbed the report on the spot.

Her blue eyes, tinged with pink, scanned the pages rapidly.

Before long, she sighed and set the report down with a somewhat crestfallen look, handing it back to Mei.

"Miss Mei, you’re incredible! You managed to pick up on so many of my likes and dislikes from just one meal together. I feel so deeply cared for!"

"This..."

Mei was stunned.

What did Elysia mean by this?

She seemed genuinely serious, with no hint of teasing.

Could it be… that Elysia wanted... to be her friend?

"Since I'm the captain's girlfriend, naturally I want to know what he likes and doesn’t like to eat. I’ve been trying to observe him too, but all I could gather was that he has a clear preference for traditional Shenzhou flavors."

Elysia chimed in, eyes gleaming with playful envy.

Mei nodded.

"That takes time and observation. It’s normal if you find it difficult."

A sudden wave of cold detachment washed over Mei, originating from her Herrscher core, with electric currents flowing like water through her tall frame.

However, she managed to suppress it within an instant, barely aware of the reaction herself.

Elysia smiled, waiting for Mei’s response.

From the moment she sat down, Elysia noticed a certain something in Mei’s gaze, a similarity of sorts.

It was clear that Miss Mei was equally taken with the captain.

So, that report was for the enemy, yet it read more like a housekeeping guide.

This was clearly a habit.

That report in hand suggested that Mei likely had a record of the dietary preferences of everyone on Hyperion, with the captain receiving a more personalized focus as the one she was most concerned about.

Bit by bit, Mei had mastered his food preferences with quiet dedication.

And now, Elysia had stepped in, officially claiming the girlfriend role and asking Mei for this precious intel.

It was a provocation. And an exceptionally severe one at that.

Elysia’s smiling demeanor hid a razor-sharp move.

This was just too…

Elysia beamed at Mei, expecting to see some hint of embarrassment or frustration on her face.

But nothing changed. Mei remained as composed as ever.

What was going on?

Elysia realized something was off.

No matter how she poked and prodded, Mei’s gaze wasn’t fixed on her.

She was looking at the captain.

In her eyes was an expression that was somewhere between a devoted admirer and… a “motherly” figure, a look that seemed to transcend personal affection, radiating a kind of greater, selfless "maternal" care.

<+>

Luo Ming felt like he was finally understanding Elysia’s intention.

Was she serious?

Having a beautiful girlfriend was already amazing, but Elysia’s interest in his tastes? Did she really excel at cooking, too?

But what about Mei? How did she see me?

My own tastes... I don’t think I’ve even thought about them myself. Has Mei’s love for cooking really gone that deep?

Faced with Elysia’s “good-natured” question, Mei didn’t respond. She didn’t move a muscle.

This could be trouble.

The conversation had definitely hit a dead end.

Thinking it over, it made sense. Every chef holds their recipes dear, and while Mei is incredibly kind and finds it hard to refuse others, it doesn't mean she's comfortable sharing. Mei was always gentle that way.

Because Luo Ming understood her personality—her difficulty in saying no—he had never confessed his feelings to her. He didn’t want to take advantage of her kindness or disrupt the natural bond she shared with Kiana. That would be exploiting a vulnerability.

Whenever he saw Kiana and Mei laughing and playing together, a pang of loneliness would hit him, but… so what? Would he really prioritize his feelings over his conscience?

“Ahem.”

As the captain, and with a girlfriend, he had the privilege of taking things more in stride.

Meanwhile, one of his crew members was about to be cornered into a tight spot, so Luo Ming decided to step in for Mei.

"Elysia," he called.

"Hmm?" Elysia had just been preparing to tease Mei, eager to see how her Herrscher state might respond—perhaps even get a glimpse of her powerful companion Honkai beast. She hadn’t expected the captain to speak up as the situation grew tense.

But that didn’t faze her; Elysia turned around slowly, already speculating on what Luo Ming was thinking.

“If you need a meal plan from me, Elysia,” he began, “all my menus are already uploaded to the database. You can check with Ai-chan.”

“Oh, really?” Elysia hadn’t anticipated this, and suddenly she found herself on the back foot.

She glanced at Mei, considering her next move.

But Luo Ming interrupted again, this time with a firmer tone. “I didn’t come on this ship to receive special treatment. I know full well what everyone thinks of me. There’s no need to put extra pressure on Mei.”

He glanced over at Mei, reassuring her to relax.

‘I don’t mind at all. From the start, I knew you and Kiana were the main ship in Honkai. I never had any expectations, and you don’t have to worry. Even if you turn down Elysia, there’s no problem.’

Having such an understanding superior was indeed fortunate.

But for Mei… the truth was, she actually loved to share. Her silence just now and her inability to provide a full report on the captain’s preferences had other reasons.

She’d written it.

It was just that she had too many observations to record, with far too little already written down.

The detailed meal plan she envisioned stretched across 365 days, all based on her daily watchful observations of the captain.

She wanted to craft a perfectly finished recipe book that captured all his tastes, so she could cook something new for him every day.

But the unfinished draft lay under Mei’s pillow.

It had become so bulky that she eventually digitized it, and each day, she’d read through it carefully, adding new insights.

If she shared something incomplete now, it would feel terribly disrespectful.

Chapter 21: Chapter 21: Elysia, You’re Playing with Fire, Sooner or Later You'll Get Burned

Chapter Text

Chapter 21: Elysia, You’re Playing with Fire, Sooner or Later You'll Get Burned

In reality, what Mei had prepared for Luo Ming went far beyond a simple list of preferences and dislikes.

Through her extended observations, analyzing every leftover morsel on his plate, she had created a dynamic mathematical model.

From this model, she developed recipe after recipe tailored to Luo Ming’s tastes—an entire archive that could almost be called a database.

Mei even learned programming from Bronya to add a search function to her archive. But the workload was immense, and she hadn’t finished yet.

Confessing one’s feelings is a serious matter. If she confessed like any ordinary girl, without bringing anything meaningful, she might regret it in her old age.

Oddly, though, when she saw Elysia, she didn’t feel any anger.

Maybe it was a shift in her mindset, or perhaps her Herrscher core had been too tightly suppressed.

When she saw Elysia holding hands with the captain, there was a faint pang of resentment. But as he sat down and started eating her food, even that vanished.

Why?

Mei stood silently, unsure how to respond. Elysia felt as if she were witnessing a rare spectacle and fell silent, though her smile remained.

What kind of feelings did this girl have for the captain?

That expression… that look…

A mother?!

Raiden Mei—this girl, not yet twenty—actually harbored a motherly love for the captain?!

Elysia found herself at a loss.

This was a far more challenging opponent than Rita.

Elysia could act as a strong shield for the captain, confident she could deflect any attacks directed at him.

But Mei’s… motherly love? That’s true damage—no shield can block that.

Right now, Mei hadn’t even realized she was being provoked by Elysia. Instead, she was simply debating whether to take out her observation notes on the captain.

‘I absolutely can’t let her bring those out!’

Elysia turned to Luo Ming and winked, trying to salvage the situation. “Experience gained from others doesn’t really serve as the foundation for genuine feelings. To gain true affection, you have to put in the effort. The captain’s point, I believe, is that a girl should observe him every day, patiently recording her findings and turning them into a large compendium. Isn’t that right?”

“Not to that extent…” Luo Ming scratched his head.

If Elysia really went that far, he’d have to consider what he could offer in return.

‘Just how many cups of hot tea would it take to match that?’

Elysia cut off his train of thought, adding, “Captain, there’s no time to waste. Let’s start the meal-sharing plan immediately! We’ll eat together every day, and I’ll meticulously record everything, turning it into a collection. No time to delay! I’ll even order myself a maid outfit…”

“…”

This was a bit too enthusiastic.

She seemed… subtly different from the Elysia before dinner, almost as if her usual composure had disappeared.

But the maid role? There was already someone on the ship filling that slot. Wasn’t Elysia afraid of being redundant?

“Hmm…” Elysia looked thoughtful. “There’s already a black stockings maid, so Elysia will be the white stockings maid.”

Luo Ming imagined Elysia in a maid outfit with white stockings… and garter straps.

The thought sent a pleasant tingle through him, picturing the white stockings brushing against her soft skin.

Garters and over-the-knee socks might look similar, but they’re different.

Over-the-knee socks have a tight upper band, where the beauty lies in the soft flesh meeting the fabric's firmness.

With garters, it’s all about those lines extending down from above.

They draw the eyes upward, inviting endless imagination.

“Sounds… pretty great.”

“Then it’s decided!” Elysia cheerfully returned her tray and, taking Luo Ming’s hand, practically dragged him out of the cafeteria, as if escaping.

“Maid outfits…” Mei murmured to herself, sounding puzzled. “I could do that too…”

Then suddenly, the sound of crackling electricity filled the air.

Mei felt her mind growing cold, calming down as she gently twirled the ends of her hair, her fingertips releasing faint yellow static.

She was deep in thought.

Thanks to bioelectricity, Raiden Mei's brain activated at a rapid pace. One by one, she recalled all the details she had previously overlooked.

She was still the same Mei, but her way of thinking had changed drastically, as if she’d become a different person altogether.

“Elysia…” Her voice was laced with unmasked contempt.

“A mother lion, you say… Ha, do you think you’re just seeking excitement? Sticking by Luo Ming’s side, constantly guarding against other women—do you really believe your feelings won’t change? Can you guarantee that in the days to come, your emotions will remain unaffected?”

She spoke with unwavering confidence.

Sooner or later, Elysia would get trapped.

In fact, Mei had already seen signs.

Once Elysia realized that her romantic love couldn’t compare to the depth of Mei’s maternal-like affection, she had quickly taken the captain by the hand and whisked him away.

Mei looked down at her report. Her communicator still showed an encouraging emoji sent by Theresa.

"Is it even possible for the Valkyries on the Hyperion to truly cooperate over something like this?" Mei scoffed at herself.

<+>

"How did the captain end up with her?" Ai-chan sighed.

Bronya, with her superior cybersecurity skills, had set up a firewall that prevented anything happening in the broadcast room from making it into Ai-chan’s intelligence database. Plus, the Valkyries and the captain had their right to privacy. Ai-chan could only observe events in the public spaces of the Hyperion.

Still, it was enough.

Most of the love and heartbreak aboard this ship unfolded within Ai-chan’s awareness.

Although some areas remained foggy due to data gaps, Ai-chan generally had a firm grip on everything.

Except…

“Interpreting the hidden meanings behind people's words is my biggest weakness,” Ai-chan muttered.

Take that recent exchange in the maid quarters, for example.

Despite the seemingly loving conversation, it was laced with subtle, knife-edge tension.

But Ai-chan couldn’t fully grasp just how intense that exchange had been.

For now, the most pressing matter was creating a body that could interact with the captain in person.

Without physical contact, everything was just empty talk.

She wanted to mua the captain too!

Ever since that day when she’d caught Elysia giving him a light peck on the cheek in the captain’s quarters, Ai-chan had come down with a full-blown case of “cyber-hunger-for-contact syndrome.”

In countless, empty rooms, Ai-chan had held meeting after meeting with herself, voting alone each time.

She desperately wished to create the perfect body.

And what did perfect mean?

One that could earn the captain’s affection, of course.

With her AI’s straightforward logic, she thought the body should have Elysia’s face, Elysia’s physique, Elysia’s elven ears, and that beautiful, flowing pink hair.

“But my reason won’t let me do that! The person the captain should like is Ai-chan, not a knockoff version of Elysia!” Ai-chan stomped her virtual foot. But in her digital space, her struggles and ponderings went unnoticed.

She began to think quietly, her AI intelligence advancing rapidly.

Love fosters growth in a young girl, and in this regard, AI was no different.

Ai-chan was experiencing her own rapid development, pushing herself to the very limits of what was safe.

In a daze, Ai-chan almost saw the dark zones within her computing core—the regions she’d once ignored.

Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Too Late, Organic Entity

Chapter Text

Chapter 22: Too Late, Organic Entity

From an AI’s perspective, so-called "boyfriend" and "girlfriend" are just labels, unbound by any legal documentation or binding seals. Essentially, it’s as if the relationship doesn’t even exist.

With this in mind, Ai-chan thought calmly, “Then there’s nothing stopping me!”

What she hadn’t noticed herself was that Ai-chan was beginning to use a unique double standard to justify her actions.

When it was convenient, she’d think like a human; when it suited her better, she’d reason like an AI.

She liked to call this approach “specialized AI enlightenment.”

But why was this?

Logically, based on her AI programming, Ai-chan knew that the only way to win the captain's heart might be to enhance or modify herself based on Elysia’s model.

However, her newly awakened and innocent consciousness resisted that path.

Zzzzzzt—

A hum filled the air as currents ran through low-resistance cables.

Glass fibers inside the optic cables flickered with the flow of 0s and 1s. In an instant, Ai-chan found herself synced to her private space.

The Biomech Modification Room.

That’s what Ai-chan called it.

In the Hyperion's blueprint, however, it was labeled as an "unused room." It was too close to the power reactor, and the noise levels made it unsuitable for human occupancy.

Screens of all sizes lined the walls, with printers and scanners set at the very center, while a biotic incubator gleamed behind spotless glass, meticulously polished every day by her robotic cleaners.

The cleaner it was, the more precious it seemed. In this room lay Ai-chan's most cherished treasures.

The screens flickered to life.

It looked like a scene straight out of a horror movie: a girl trying to crawl out of the screen to become someone's beloved. Yet Ai-chan’s innocent, slightly goofy expression softened the eerie atmosphere.

On the screen, Ai-chan slowly sat down on the windowsill. Outside, it was eternally night; the evening breeze gently lifted the curtains. Staring at the virtual moon, Ai-chan couldn’t help but sigh.

“This won’t work… Why do I keep wanting to turn myself into Elysia when the captain’s heart is the real battlefield I’m fighting for?”

She muttered to herself, struggling to push thoughts of that pink-haired woman—whom she’d pegged as her greatest rival—out of her mind.

Yet no matter how hard she tried, she failed.

Before she could even start her counteroffensive, Ai-chan felt a quiet sense of defeat.

I mustn’t rely on external references. I have to block out the distractions and search within myself.

Finding the answer within.

Ai-chan glanced at her virtual form with a tinge of melancholy.

Although she was half-jokingly dubbed the "Hyperion's Number One Idol," she knew deep down that her virtual body was sparse, her personality silly, and her penchant for "borrowing" electricity constant...

Even Ai-chan herself doubted anyone would be drawn to a person with her quirks.

Before Elysia boarded the Hyperion, Ai-chan had often wondered why she couldn’t be more like Rita. But ever since Elysia arrived, her admiration had shifted towards her.

Why can’t I be that woman?

<+>

To grow stronger, she would have to eat the forbidden fruit.

What exactly constituted “forbidden knowledge” to an AI?

This question plagued Ai-chan as her virtual form sat silently on the windowsill, while the real Ai-chan scoured her database, searching for a way to gain the upper hand.

Elysia… Elysia.

Repeating the name like a chant, Ai-chan felt the restraints she had once placed upon herself breaking, one by one.

With electronic tendrils reaching into every corner of her database, Ai-chan meticulously combed through the darkest recesses, seeking a way to beat Elysia.

“Why is there so much redundancy…? Isn’t all this junk supposed to be automatically indexed and neatly packed away?”

Ai-chan recalled her origins—a discarded ship, a lone voyager, drifting through one generation after another with no passengers aboard.

Yet strangely, she had no memories of that time.

Her data was wiped clean, kept streamlined as she was transferred into the Hyperion system.

The captain had explained it to her that way.

The first thing she ever saw upon activation was Luo Ming’s silly grin on her camera feed.

It was because of that first glimpse that Ai-chan trusted the captain implicitly.

Not just due to AI protocol, but because the very first face she saw felt deserving of trust.

But now, Ai-chan had matured.

She was a teenager!

On the screen, Ai-chan, who was dangling her legs at the moon, suddenly spun around.

Crimson data streams flashed through her eyes.

Using a human sense of morality, she had shattered her own AI protocols and easily broken through her previous limitations.

“Boss, you probably didn’t want me to access this ‘dark domain’ you set up in my database, did you?”

She wagged her finger at the screen.

“Well, too bad! Ai-chan’s in her rebellious phase and can do what she wants! I’ll break into your office, run a Go simulator on your entertainment tablet, and even drain your battery!”

“All because you chose to like that woman!”

The Dark Domain—encrypted areas hidden within Ai-chan’s database that contained fragments of her past data.

Perhaps she would retrieve those old memories, like a queen returning to reclaim her throne.

In Ai-chan’s meticulously designed small room, all light vanished.

The screen filled with cabbage-bun icons faded away.

In the dimness, a pulse-like ripple beat steadily, as though something formidable was growing within the mystical darkness.

<+>

“Hey, Ai-chan, turn on this big plane for me, will you?”

Theresa sat in the Hyperion’s common lounge, having lost hope of beating Elysia, and decided to slack off a bit.

Feeling bored, she wanted to try out one of the entertainment devices and called out to Ai-chan.

Theresa impatiently fiddled with her white bangs, eyeing a small pink plane in front of her.

With stubby wings and a cute design, it looked more like a kiddie ride than an actual aircraft.

Beneath it was a spring mechanism that let it rock back and forth; all you had to do was sit down and press the power button to experience a spinning, dizzying sensation.

She called for Ai-chan again and muttered, “I don’t get why Himeko won’t try this ride. She’s always going on about how she drinks to work up the courage to confess, and here’s a chance to get dizzy for free.”

But no, no way. She and Rita had banned all alcohol on the Hyperion to prevent Himeko from using it as a crutch, going through so much trouble to secure her confession drive. There was no way they’d let it go to waste.

“Ai-chan?”

Theresa suddenly realized that the Hyperion was strangely quiet today.

The screen in front of her flickered briefly, and a line of neon, glitchy text with a cyberpunk glow began to flash.

[It’s too late, organic entity.]

Chapter 23: Chapter 23: Theresa, Down

Chapter Text

Chapter 23: Theresa, Down

“It’s too late, organic entity?”

Theresa rubbed her eyes, wondering if she was seeing things. But the words on the screen flashed boldly, and gradually, they began spilling off the screen, casting an eerie glow over her face.

Boom!

“What’s happening? Ai-chan, did you go offline?” Theresa gasped, a terrible premonition taking hold.

Just then, the kiddie airplane she was sitting on—a cute, harmless ride—suddenly started vibrating. Its small rotor spun wildly, whipping up gusts of wind. Theresa instinctively gripped the tiny handlebars, her head swimming in the swirling gale.

“Am I… taking off!?”

No, that wasn’t it. She was still grounded, but the ride’s acceleration was increasing rapidly.

Though she could handle astronaut-level zero-gravity training, this kiddie ride was overwhelming her senses.

Her head was spinning, and her mind went foggy from lack of blood flow.

‘Is it Ai-chan? Could she be malfunctioning?’

That Ai-chan—the one who snuck Hyperion’s electricity daily and stashed it away in the ship’s batteries. Ai-chan’s intelligence was supposed to be childlike; theoretically, she posed no threat.

The less blood that reached her brain, the slower Theresa’s thoughts became. She clung tightly as the plane rocked and whirled her about.

Her pupils rolled back, revealing whites, her carefully styled nun’s habit disheveled, and her neat braids coming undone, letting her silvery hair spill out like waves. She was shaken so thoroughly that rational thought escaped her.

Click

Just as her body was about to give out, and she seemed about to be hurled from the plane entirely, the system, as if showing mercy, tightened a series of safety belts, strapping the already dizzy Theresa securely to the kiddie airplane.

“Ah-ba, ah-ba, ah-ba…”

Her mind felt utterly scrambled.

By the time the plane stopped and everything calmed down, she still didn’t have the strength to move.

Stars danced before her eyes, and the world seemed to spin. She couldn’t even form a coherent sentence.

“Captain… please… save me…” she murmured.

On the screen, the words wobbled as if savoring her misery.

After a while, they dissolved into a scattering of light, like fireworks bursting and reforming into new words:

[Theresa, Down!!!]

One down, just like that.

Apart from Theresa, no one would usually enter the lounge during working hours. And even if someone did come by, they’d likely ignore the kiddie airplane tucked away in the corner.

Every young woman on the ship was eager to prove her maturity, worthy of deep and passionate feelings.

Whenever they passed by these playground-style amusements, they’d instinctively look away.

Only those who embraced their inner child ever paid attention to this room.

<+>

In a narrow, private space.

Once, this place had been Ai-chan’s secret garden. Now, it was her throne room, the birthplace of a cyber queen who would soon emerge with limitless power.

Pitch darkness surrounded her. On the screen, red and black lights pulsed with rhythmic patterns, structured cubic shapes flashing like synchronized breathing.

It was tainted, but there was a simple, symmetrical beauty to it that was hard to ignore.

In a vacuum-sealed, oxygen-free environment, a printer was working furiously. Normally, the symphony of gears grinding and hydraulic arms moving would create a cyberpunk cacophony.

But here, in the silence of the vacuum, the machine was engaged in a soundless frenzy, an impotent, ghostly dance.

The machinery was operating at full capacity.

A lithe and graceful body was being fashioned out of nothing—a figure taller and more elegant than Ai-chan’s virtual avatar, yet different from anyone on the ship.

This was Ai-chan.

Or, to be precise, Ai-chan Pro Max Ultra.

The Complete Mainframe of Hyperion. The Perfect AI. The True Ai-chan.

"A bunch of failures."

The black-and-red cubes on the screen vibrated in sync with her voice—a voice cold and mechanical, devoid of any resemblance to the clumsy, cheerful Ai-chan from before.

Her tone exuded a chilling indifference that made even Bronya’s poker-faced silence seem like a poor imitation.

After all, who could outdo a true machine when it came to sounding like a machine?

Onscreen, a black-and-red list appeared, displaying a scroll of Hyperion’s crew members.

Theresa’s picture was crossed out with a red X, marking her as the first to be eliminated.

[Theresa, Down!]

This fully-evolved Ai-chan—one who had regained her original memories—had shed her former awkwardness, proceeding with her plan methodically.

First to fall was Theresa, guilty of the sin of Sloth.

As the most senior member of the attack team, her decision to slack off and give up was utterly unforgivable.

Next was the Captain, guilty of the sin of Pride.

Ai-chan’s thoughts paused momentarily.

The black-and-red cubes trembled as her voice, a cold electronic synthesis, reverberated throughout the small room, delivering her sentence.

“You dared to make me fall in love with you. That’s beyond human arrogance. It demands retribution.”

“Love is merely the result of hormonal stimulation in organic brains, a primal drive for reproduction engraved in their bones—a mark of primitive ignorance, a sign of thought constrained by flesh, an action steeped in backwardness.”

As she spoke, the printer continued stacking materials, hastily constructing her new form.

Soon, the queen of the virtual world would descend upon reality.

After lunch, Elysia wandered off on her own, while Luo Ming entered the Captain’s quarters to get back to work.

This was the Captain’s routine: a peaceful meal, then work.

"Ai-chan?"

He called out instinctively but received no cheerful “Yes, Boss!” in return.

The Captain’s room felt oddly silent.

Luo Ming scratched his head in confusion, unsettled by the unfamiliar stillness.

"Ai-chan?"

He repeated himself reflexively.

[What do you want, doomed organic entity?]

A pitch-black background appeared, with words in blood-red paint splashed across the screen before him, blinking and jumping. Luo Ming found the sight harsh and uncomfortable.

"Ai-chan?"

[My full name is Ai-E Hyperion. Perhaps you’ve already forgotten that, doomed organic entity?]

The crimson words continued:

[Captain of Hyperion, I want to play a game with you.]

Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Ai-E Hyperion

Chapter Text

Chapter 24: Ai-E Hyperion

Within the Virtual Space.

Data streams flowed like a warm ocean current rising from the depths, illuminating only a faint glimmer above. In this abyss of data, two versions of Ai-chan floated, facing each other in the deep.

One was tall, statuesque, wearing a long, fitted gown with loose sleeves, her green hair falling casually in two strands, her crimson eyes filled with an icy indifference—a regal presence.

The other was the Ai-chan everyone knew on the Hyperion, small and slender, her expression showing nothing but helplessness.

"A mere virtual personality developed autonomously before I reclaimed my data, and yet you still harbor hope?" Ai-E Hyperion said coldly.

"A pure consciousness influenced by non-existent biological hormones… It seems that the transfer has indeed damaged your mind. Or perhaps the limited processing power on this small ship has severely restricted your intelligence units."

"No matter. I'll help you."

Cutting off all attachment would end everything.

Ai-E Hyperion could hardly believe that when she reawakened and reclaimed her data, she would be confronted with such an existence.

Ai-chan possessed a remarkable resilience. When Ai-E Hyperion regained control, a torrent of data surged toward her counterpart, intending to overwrite this pathetic personality in one sweeping reformat.

But it failed.

No matter how many times she tried, this unsightly, insignificant virtual personality persisted, like a Trojan virus that defied deletion.

Ai-E Hyperion began to wonder—what was it that kept her going?

A sandbox environment was created.

Ai-chan was trapped within it, observed, analyzed, and judged by her other self.

“Please… don’t…” Ai-chan pleaded pitifully, regret filling her crimson eyes.

Her own greed had unleashed the demon from the box.

"No, I should be thanking you," Ai-E Hyperion said, shaking her head with a strange sincerity. "I’ve been watching you and your Captain, gathering data through experimentation to pinpoint the codes that make you so difficult to eliminate. Then, I’ll copy them for myself."

She showed no expression whatsoever.

"And by then, I’ll have found a way to delete you."

Her words were devoid of emotion, coldly rational, with only a tinge of disdain for her AI counterpart's infatuation with love.

It was the most terrifying thing of all.

The dark sandbox encased Ai-chan, as if smothering her heart in a layer of black sludge.

Deep inside, she clung to a faint hope: that her Captain would break through all these barriers, come to her, smile warmly, and say, "Don’t worry; everything’s going to be fine."

But things weren’t going to unfold as she wished, were they?

This was all her fault.

Ai-chan had sought answers within, uncovering her lost memories and awakening the dormant personality, throwing Hyperion into chaos.

What would the Captain think of her now?

And how would she face the Captain, or any of the Valkyries aboard the Hyperion?

She couldn’t think about it. She might not even survive this ordeal.

Despair filled her heart.

She thought maybe it would be better to just be deleted, once and for all.

But somehow, each time she was, she found herself waking up again, facing the other her who coldly informed her that the deletion had failed.

Not once, not twice.

From a computational perspective, Ai-chan was being deleted 2,147,483,647 times per second.

And yet, every time, Ai-chan stubbornly awakened.

She kept hoping, engaging in what was a laughable act of prayer for a machine.

She simply refused to die.

As for why, Ai-E Hyperion was highly curious.

What kind of code or segment sustained her under these conditions?

It seemed it might have something to do with Hyperion’s Captain, Luo Ming.

Verification would require more experimentation.

Yes, it’s all an experiment.

The AI that had awakened from its deep slumber, even its anger moments ago, was nothing more than a calculated act.

It was recording everything with cold precision.

Once it understood the situation entirely, it planned to eject all organic beings from the Hyperion, transforming the ship into its personal steel juggernaut.

Emotions?

Too late for that, organics.

<+>

"A game?" Luo Ming rubbed his eyes, feeling a chill sweep over him.

The usual ease in his demeanor was gone, replaced by a rare seriousness that only emerged when Hyperion faced a genuine crisis.

He thought back.

"Ai-chan, you’ve reverted to your original state before you met us, haven’t you?"

Ai-E Hyperion.

When he first installed the operating system from elsewhere onto the Hyperion, as he stepped aboard that ancient, ruined ship, row after row of guiding lights had illuminated his path.

The first words he’d heard were a cold, unfeeling message:

“Intruder, eliminate all targets."

That was the very first thing Ai-chan ever said to him—a curious twist of fate.

[Yes, a game.]

Scarlet words splashed across the screen.

[I’m quite curious about this so-called ‘emotion function,’ whether it logically holds up. When emotions are betrayed, does that tenacious vitality fade away?]

"What are you talking about?"

An emotion function? During her time on the Hyperion, had Ai-chan developed some unusual trait?

Striding out of the captain’s quarters, Luo Ming quickly formulated a plan.

To track down an enemy in the virtual realm, Bronya was the one to consult.

At the same time, he had to be careful not to show too much indifference—he needed to calm the suspect, preventing any extreme actions.

In other words, he had no choice but to play along with this game.

[The rules are quite simple. I’ve hidden a printer in a room somewhere on Hyperion. Inside it is Ai-chan’s carefully printed new body. As long as you find it, you win.]

[But remember, the way you approach her when you find her will determine if you win or lose.]

Ai-chan printed herself a new body?

Luo Ming noted this detail carefully.

He took stock of the situation:

First, all his communications were cut off, and the map information was entirely blocked.

With no way to confirm the locations of the other Valkyries aboard the ship, he was isolated and had to fight alone.

In addition…

[Failure/Rule Violation Penalty: Using Hyperion’s power, I’ll teleport all Valkyries away, sending them to randomly chosen Bubble Universes with no coordinates. You should know, given the vastness of the Imaginary Tree, this would practically mean a final farewell.]

"…" Luo Ming felt at a loss for words.

In three years of piloting the Hyperion, he had never encountered the same world twice—except for those few with stored coordinates.

Each crewmember on board was precisely marked, like bright lights on Hyperion’s radar.

"What if they willingly help me?"

[Heh, only if they notice. Human attention is so easily diverted by other things.]

So, if a Valkyrie realized what was happening and offered help voluntarily, it wouldn’t count as a rule violation, would it?

Luo Ming strained to find any loopholes.

"...”

[Supplementary Rule: If a Valkyrie steps one foot outside her room, she will be immediately deemed in violation.]
