Chapter Text

 Family Summary:

Peter Parker Alias; Spiderman:

The youngest of the family and the pride and joy to all.

Even before becoming a hero, Tony Stark, May Parker, and Ben Parker adored him and his family has been growing ever since. Even though he was coming out as a hero, only Stark and the avengers known as May is in the dark, and Ben was gone… Tony and the others often fret over Petey and like to keep an eye on him every now and then. Not many people know about Peter’s extended family except Harry and MJ.

Peter would stay at Stark Tower every other month as his Godfather has shared custody with his Aunt May. Often the baby of the group, his family is proud of the work as Spiderman and Peter Parker. Peter does display ‘Spider Habits’ some try to adjust to them and not to over worry, though it is in his secret medical file.

May Parker:

Widow of Ben Parker and Aunt as well as shared guardian of Peter Parker.

What you would think of what an aunt would be, May is not. Though loving and caring aunt to Peter, she is far from being a frail woman. She is a woman who takes life by the horns and likes to live every day to the fullest. That rough and tumble woman fought tooth and nail with Stark, earning his respect and somewhat fearful of her. May has been an inspiration for Peter as she has been the one to teach him things he’ll need in life.

May and Tony would have to communicate for a proper parenting style for Peter as there were some things, she didn’t approve of her nephew picking up from his Godfather. Raising Peter would be a thing they would have to do together.

Tony Stark Alias; Ironman:

The wealthy genius with an iron suit.

Back in the day his closest friend and colleague was the ever-intelligent and dreamer, Richard Parker. The two were almost like brothers. He wasn’t so sure when Richard wanted him to be the godfather of his baby boy, Peter as Tony was not the type to like kids. The kid manages to worm his way into his heart.

After his parents died, Tony fought tooth and nail to share custody with Ben and May. It was agreed that every other month, Peter would live with him, thus Tony putting in Peter’s room. You can say Tony spoils the kid as the boy saw him as a superhero, even before Ironman.

When Peter became Spiderman, Tony fretted more but promised to keep his secret.

Steve Rogers Alias; Captain America:

Uncle Steve gives Peter a moral compass since his Uncle Ben passes away.

Steve is often reminded of how Peter is so much like Tony but was thankful that he didn’t inherit everything. Peter was a good kid, just needed to think things through a little more. Steve would even let Peter clean his shield and watch him train. One day the boy would do great things and CA would be there to see him accomplish things. Just as long as the boy keeps his head on straight and is more insightful, he’ll be just fine.

Steve also helps Tony be less of an overprotective father towards Peter, even though Steve is protective himself. The boy needs to stand on his two feet and couldn’t be babied all the time. He would also need to help Peter become less dependent on technology and more one with nature, to better help with his inner spider. Though sometimes, the inner spider was worrisome, Steve knows it will come in handy to be one with nature and the spider side.

He would even tell war stories to the boy and share some trade secrets in heroism.

Thor Odinson Alias; Thor:

By the beard of Odin, there would be no worthier competitor for the title of Best Uncle.

Thor indeed loves the boy as he sees a warrior worthy of the Gods within him. Thor loves that the boy cooks as he makes wondrous feasts for him, Hawkeye, and Hulk. They would also enjoy movies of the monstrous kind as Thor would tell tales of his own monster battles. If only he could convince Tony to allow the boy a weapon, even though he was a warrior. Tony only allows Peter to go monster fighting with Thor if one of the other Avengers comes with them just in case.

Natasha Romanoff Alias; Black Widow:

The third mother to Peter with Aunt May being the second.

Though Natasha rarely shows it, she was a mother spider to Peter. If someone hurts her baby, there was a reason she was called the black widow. Peter has the ability to have the woman reach her inner motherhood. But if anyone ever calls her up on that, she’ll kill them. But Petey will always have a place in her heart.

Clint Barton Alias; Hawkeye:

If anyone would have a shot at being the best uncle, it would be him.

After all, who’s gotten more carnival toys for Petey, showing him how to be accurate, or even showed him the ropes? Other than worrying about the kid being a crime-fighting wallcrawler, the kid was too naive for his own good. The heart of gold sees the best in everyone. He needs to learn that there are people who will take advantage of him, and he rather not get a bad rep for starting a cemetery with the Avengers in the future.

Bruce Banner Alias; Hulk:

Another contender for the title of Best Uncle.

Peter was the first person not to see him as a monster but a friend, then later into family. Hulk holds a special place for Peter in his heart as they both share a hobby of collecting glass figurines together and eating out at food trucks. Hulk may get mad but messing with his nephew can be the worse possible thing you can do.

Bruce also helps out Pete with his homework and experiments as he helps Peter become a better scientist and engineer.

Never hurts to learn.

Sam Wilson Alias; Falcon:

New on the team, Falcon hasn’t gotten a family title, yet.

He often sees Peter but not sure of what to make of him as he was surprised to be Tony’s Godson and heir. As Spiderman, Falcon once planned a contingency for the boy as well when Peter first started out but hopes to never use it. He still likes to study Pete and can bribe some answers with cookies.

Harry Osborn Alias; Venom:

Peter Parker’s Boyfriend and son of the Green Goblin.

He discovers the true nature of Spider-Man but keeps it a secret after hooking up and promises to be there for him. He loves Peter but fears that he will become what he feared the most, his own father.

The Great Weaver:

The Spider God that Visits Peter's Dreams.

Not much is known about them besides being the Totem of the Spider.

The Spider Gods; Council of the Web of Life:

Consists of Loki, the Great Weaver, Arachne, Aeorp-Enop, Neith, Spider Grandmother, Jorōgumo, Tsuchigumo, Maman Brigitte, Mamitu, and Iktomi. They were seemingly interested in Peter Parker and often tested him. They care naught for humanity and often disregard them. They despise Bats and Goblins.

Man-Spider; The Spider who bit Peter:

Unknown data.

Chapter 2: Gaze Under the Web

Chapter Text

In the Center of the Web of Reality…

The Council of the Weaver was assembled once again.

The Weaver rose from the bowels of the web with his watchful eyes over the web and the Gods and Goddesses of the Spider that maintain and grow it. Like the wind of the mist, ethereally they appeared. First to come was Iktomi, Lakota Spider God of Tricks in his red shrouds with a massive spider on his shoulder in the form of a dark handsome man with long black braided hair. Spider Grandmother, in the form of an elderly woman with three spider legs on her back, was the next to arrive, knitting something from her thread. Arachne, the cursed human turned spider and Goddess of the thread, came next while being carried via palanquin. Aeorp-Enop lumbering and powerful with his spider legs emerged next after her. Jorōgumo and Tsuchigumo came next with scowls on their faces. Neith soon came with Maman Brigitte, Mamitu, and Iktomi following suit. The last to arrive was the trickster of the Norse World, Loki.

“Ah, it is so nice to see you all again. It is such a welcoming sight.” Loki greeted the group.

“What is the meaning of this meeting, Loki? Can’t you see I am very busy?” Tsuchigumo grumbled with annoyance.

“We just got here, and you can’t even warrant a hello.” Loki scoffed humorously, pretending to be offended.

“…Loki, tell us, what were your findings of the boy?” Aeorp-Enop questioned the trickster.

“You too, Aeorp-Enop. Sheesh, it looks like the spiders are drifting apart. Pity, that it was once a time that the Council and the Web brought us all together. But it seemed that… even our eldest members have forgotten courtesy.”

“How dare you? You are the youngest member!” Tsuchigumo snarled at Loki, showing her fangs.

“Tsuchigumo, enough. I will not have violence in this sacred place, especially not in front of the Great Weaver.” Spider Grandmother firmly warned the woman, “Loki, may you tell us about your discovery with the mortal child.”

“Thank you for your polite nature, Grandmother Spider. Now the reason I gathered you all here, the reason I summoned the Great Weaver is because of… him.”

A projection of Peter Parker appeared as the Spider Deity gasped at the sight of him.

“An avatar? Not possible!” Arachne gasped.

“There hasn’t been a mortal avatar of the spider in two thousand years, not since the Great Weaver ascension from the Goblin’s latest attempts on the omniverse.” Neith countered.

“And yet, here he is.” Jorōgumo pointed out.

“Interesting, the boy shows a lot of promise.” Iktomi hummed at the sight.

“I say he’s just a mortal, not understanding the gift he is given!” Maman Brigitte voiced while Tsuchigumo agreed.

“He may not be, my friends. After all, I have watched him for quite some time and was impressed by his show of power. I say him defeat gods, I see him outwit the strongest minds and I know what his future holds and so does the Great Weaver.” Loki campaigned.

“Great Weaver, what are your thoughts on this?” Mamitu asked the giant.

There was a deep sound…

“Test the boy, unlock his power, show the truth.”

“And I will be the first to test him.” Tsuchigumo declared while looking at the projection, “And when it is said and done, I will show everyone that he is just a mortal.”

At Stark Tower…

Peter was twitching and tossing himself in his bed until he awoke from his odd dream!

“Woah!” Peter gasped then realized he was in his bed, “Just a dream… just a dream… A weird one too, not what I usually get. Weird… why was Loki there and who were all those people?”

The young Spider-Man sighed and then decided to get something to eat to calm his nerves. He was so happy that his Aunt May made some apple pie. With a little ice cream, some whipped cream, milk… now you’re talking! He cut a huge chunk and placed it on his plate while piling on some ice cream and whipped cream.

“Having the midnight munchies, Kiddo?”

Peter turned around to see Tony Stark.

“Hey Dad, yeah, I got a bad dream and needed something to eat,” Peter admitted to Tony.

“Sheesh Kid, this is the third one this week. Maybe we should have the doctors look at you.”

“Well, it’s not like the dreams I usually have, this one was a really weird one.”

“Really? What was it about?”

Peter then told Tony about the whole dream while the pair ate some apple pie together. Tony took notes about the people who were inside his dream, the big red flag on Loki, and whoever this Tsuchigumo lady was. He should talk to Strange about these guys because it seemed that the dream was more than just a dream. After talking about his dream and finishing his ice cream, Tony led Peter to bed and began making some calls.

Chapter 3: Call of the Wolf

Chapter Text

Near the Space Station…

John Jameson, son to anchor, Jonah Jameson gazed upon the stone in its glimmering light as he tried to figure out what he found in space.

He wasn’t even sure how he even got this… maybe the astronaut should retrace his steps a little bit… okay, he was up in space, he was on an asteroid, he saw something glowing… he came back, and he still had the stone. Wait, why does he have the stone instead of turning it in? He should give it back to NASA, tell them what happened-.

“Do you not like my gift, Sir Jameson?” A soft and alluring voice, seemingly out of nowhere.

The spider’s web shining in the light in the midst of darkness…

“Who’s there? Who are you?” John gasped, searching for the voice while clenching onto the mysterious crimson crystal.

But he seemed to be all alone… but he wasn’t, someone or something was there with him… something menacing and dangerous…. Something old and cunning beyond anything of his understanding, or even humanity’s understanding. It was a deeply unnerving feeling.

The spider lowers down by a thin thread with her eyes staring upon her prey…

“You have forgotten me? That’s okay, I am the kind of woman who often forgets, especially when your mind was on survival. But of course, I was the one to have saved you.”

John was sweating, his chest felt like someone was pressing down on it.

“Saved me?”

The spider’s mandibles formed a grin while her eyes turned an acidic green…

“Yes, that creature almost killed you until I intervened. You were lucky to have found me, child.”

“Child? Wait, if you saved me, why did you give me a stone? How were you able to survive in space.” John questioned the voice.

“My kind has always been so… endurable. But that doesn’t matter now. What matters is that I can give you power, the power to never be harmed again.”

The spider’s legs twitched with excitement while the little claws touched tips in a pattern….

“Power?”

“It’s what you wanted when your crew was stranded with those monsters. You wanted power and I gave it to you, thus you return home.”

John still searched for the voice then turned to the stone.

“The crystal.”

“It’s called the Primal Prism of the Wyrd, as old as life and just as potent. Pretty nice huh?”

“It’s… beautiful.”

“And powerful, not many could withstand the responsibility of the stone. But you are very, very strong.”

The astronaut then looked at the stone, enveloped by its mesmerizing glow.

“Sadly though, its properties only last as long as you hold it. Once you let go, the power will return to the prism, and you will be at the mercy of any monstrous foe.”

John didn’t like the sound of that. This stone… he needed the stone; he must keep it.

“Don’t worry. I can make sure the stone never leaves you ever again… and you can become ever more powerful.”

The spider then lowered some thread down below.

“How?”

“Look behind you.”

John turned to see a luxurious and decadent collar with a stud at the center.

“I believe there is no need for instructions, eh?”

The astronaut smiled and knew what he needed to do.

“No, none at all.”

“Of course… enjoy.”

The spider then retreated back to her web, disappearing into darkness.

At Stark’s House…

Peter and Harry were watching TV together while cuddling together in a tender fashion.

“Sheesh, can’t they make the monsters any cheesier.” Harry laughed while Peter giggled at the sight of the creature in the film.

“I know, right? Look, I can see the strings.” Peter pointed out while he and his boyfriend laughed.

The two have been close since the whole Carnage thing and the reveal of Peter’s identity. After that, Peter told Harry everything that happened with his powers… how he became Spider-Man, Uncle Ben… and Peter’s ailment. Harry took in every word and embraced Peter after understanding everything. It felt nice; it was good that Peter finally had someone to talk to, a shoulder to cry on, or someone to talk to about everything. It made him feel lighter than the air.

“Do you guys need any cookies?” Captain America wondered about the boys on the couch.

“Nope, we’re good. Thanks again.” Peter answered.

“Good, now, don’t you crazy kids get too clingy.”

“Uncle Steve! No, we’re not doing that! Why do you guys always assume that-!”

“I understand, you’re young and at that age-.”

“Seriously!”

Captain America then left laughing a little bit.

“Sheesh.”

Peter and Harry then got comfortable again.

“Your family’s a hoot.”

“They’re something, but they do love me.”

“Speaking about your family, have they figured out about your weird dreams?” Harry wondered.

“Not sure, I do know that my dad is speaking with Dr. Strange, don’t know when he’ll be back.”

Soon an alarm went off on Peter’s phone and he knew duty called once again.

Chapter 4: A friend in Need

Chapter Text

At Sheild’s Office…

Spider-man’s team entered as Nick Fury was waiting for the heroes.

“Alright Team, time for you to take on an important mission. S.H.I.E.L.D. just received some reports of the mission astronaut, John Jameson has disappeared with his crew, this comes after his relaunch back from an unknown mission.” Nick Fury explained to the team.

“Jonh Jameson? John’s missing?” Spider-man spoke up while the team looked at him.

“You know this guy?” Nova wondered.

“Yeah, he was a friend of mine, used to babysit me and MJ when we were kids. He’s also that loudmouth Jonah’s kid.” Peter explained a little bit of their history.

“You were friends with the son of the reporter who’s always trashing you?!?” Powerman gasped a little as the team remembered how Jonah Jamerson treated him.

“SPIDER-MAN IS A MENACE!!”

“WEB-SLINGING VIGILANTE SHOULDN’T BE IN OUR CITY!!”

“Okay, okay, I get the message.” Spider-Man sighed while rubbing the back of his head, “Look John is an awesome dude. He’s like an older brother to me.”

Years ago, back at Aunt May’s House…

Peter was playing hero with his toys while a young John watched over him.

“Take that evil moon monster! You won’t take our planet!” Peter acted while using his Iron Man toy against the toy monster.

“GRrr… Roar! Curse you great Hero Parker, you defeated me again!!!” John acted, causing Peter to laugh and him to laugh with him.

“Hey John, do you think I can be a hero someday? With superpowers and stuff?” Peter wondered while a spider near the windowsill was making their web.

“Kid, not all heroes have power or wear capes. Being a hero is doing what is right, no matter the reward or what hills you have to achieve.” John explained his him when placed him on his shoulders.

“Really?” Peter grinned while his eyes sparkled.

“Really, look.” John explained while bringing him to the window to show a firefighter helping a cat out of a tree, “That woman is a hero, she’s helping that poor kitty down from that tall tree and that’s not just her. Firefighters put out fires, police arrest bad guys and protect people, and even doctors save lives every day and make people better. So, everyone can be a hero.”

“Really?” Peter squealed while a spider’s web was at the center of him without him noticing.

“In fact, that is what I’m planning on doing.” Then, John proclaimed, then looked to the sky, “One day, I’ll be helping people reach the stars and beyond.”

Present time…

“John taught me so much about being a hero. Like Uncle Ben and Aunt May, he shaped me into becoming the spider that I am. I will always come to his side.” Peter explained to his teammates.

“And now your mentor is in need of your help.” Ironfist nodded, understanding how Peter felt.

“He’s not the only one asking for help. We’ve also got word from John’s father. He sent us this.” Nick added, then played the tape.

“As much as it makes my skin crawl…. I need your help, Spider-Man…” Jonah Jamerson began…

In the Space Station…

The crew were being held captive in the webbing, trembling with fear at the guard dog that held them all prisoners.

“Good boy, such a good boy.” A female voice from above declared before coming down by a single thread, “Everything is ready for his arrival.”

“Please, lady, why are you doing this to-.”

His mouth was then muffled by her webbing from her mouth as she smiled with sinister intentions.

“Bait shouldn’t talk, especially when I am trying to prove something. I have everything ready to prove to them all that I am right, that he is no champion, not worthy of such gifts.” The woman declared with a venomous tone.

“Wh-who are you talking about? " one of the female astronauts breathed, causing the woman to turn her head around.

“The hero. He’s coming here.”

“Iron Man?”

“No.”

“Captain America? Mr. Fantastic? Thor?”

“No, none of them. You’ll know soon enough but until then…”

The beast lashed out and scared the crew with its deadly whims.

“Stay quiet and wait.”

She then looked at the window outside in space and smiled.

“Come to me, little Spider. Come and prove Loki wrong.”

Chapter 5: Is A Friend Indeed

Chapter Text

At the Dock of the Space Station…

After the team managed to dock their ship, Spider-Man was the first to get out.

Peter began to look around to see what had transpired in this space station. There was a strange smell that lingered in the world, something organic and familiar. Spider-Man spotted it in the corner while the rest of the team managed to climb out. He touched it and knew instantly.

“What did you find, Boy?” Nova joked to hide his fear from the creepy energy of the seemingly abandoned Space Station.

“See for yourself, Bucket Head. Look what I found.” Spider-Man, presented as White Tiger, took a closer look.

“Webbing… really thick and big webbing.” She breathed in realization while six pairs of eyes were watching them from the ceiling, “This is even thicker than your Man-Spider Web.”

“So, you’re telling me that a giant spider has taken over the station and is holding everyone hostage?” Powerman questioned, still freaked out at the possibility that a spider bigger than Man-Spider could be lurking about.

“No.”

Everyone then turned to Iron Fist, who approached the webbing and felt the powerful energy that still lingered within the webbing structure and design. It was both Supernatural and Natural at the same time… this magic, this energy… it was old, older than any old magic.

“This is not a normal thread.” Danny firmly answered while he looked troubled about the web.

“Yeah, no kidding.” Kid Nova scoffed, “A giant spider made it.”

“No, it’s more than just the size; there is carefully woven and laced magic within. I have never seen anything like this before, it is even older than the forces I find in the studies of K'un-Lun. This is long forgotten magic.” Iron Fist informed in great detail.

The spider’s eyes turned red, as bloody and red as a predator. Oh, it looks like Loki’s friend has a little hunting party of his own.

“So, a magic user is responsible.” Suggested by Powerman.

“No, something even stronger. This is a work of a God.”

The mandibles of the spider above twitched with hunger and excitement.

“So, we’re dealing with someone like Loki.”

Right, time to make an entrance.

“Oh, I wouldn’t put Loki on the same level as myself, my dear.” A voice sneered in a mocking tone.

The team was back-to-back as they tried to locate the source of the sound. That is when they suddenly felt something quickly crawling on their feet! Nova screamed with fright and floated!

“Spiders!” He shrieked in horror, causing the person to laugh!

The spiders climbed on one another, forming a huge heap, grossing out those who watched while the webbing formed around them! The heap and webbing transformed into a woman, in Edo era clothing and a spider-like fan.

“Tsuchigumo!” Iron Fist gasped, then bowed to the spider-woman.

“Who?” Spider-Man questioned his friend.

“Tsuchigumo, Twin to Jorōgumo, one of the two Japanese Gods of the Spider.” Iron Fist informed with great fear.

“Yeah, I’ve heard of her two, in legends. But-but she’s supposed to be-.”

“A giant, teeth-covered, malicious spider? My sister got the lion’s share of beauty from our mum. Well, this form I take is not my true self, but it helps me become approachable. I mean, if you saw what I truly was, you would have peed yourselves in fright. I mean, the floating one just did not too long ago.” Tsuchigumo scoffed, then laughed while Kid Nova looked away with embarrassment.

“That’s not True!” Kid Nova Shouted and tried to attack her.

“Sam No!” Iron Fist voiced while Kid Nova charged her!

But the boy was swatted away with ease, falling to the floor.

“You should listen to the monk, Mortal.” She laughed with amusement.

“No one does that to our friend!” Powerman shouted as he tried to punch her, but his fists collided with her hands, and she easily overpowered him.

“Such a brute, trying to hit a lady? You are strong, but not as strong as I.”

She then flung him aside. White Tiger, Spider-Man, and Iron Fist made no attempt to attack her, causing her to smirk.

“Ah, so there is those among you who have something in their caps. Now to business with you.” She breathed, then pointed to Spider-Man.

She then slowly approached him, as the pressure from her was massive, and Peter’s Spider-Sense begged him to run for his life. This woman… she was even more dangerous than the Green Goblin, more than Loki, heck, she could easily take down the biggest baddies!

“You are Loki’s 'Champion', eh? More like a clown than a warrior.” She scoffed at him.

“Well, you’re not much to look at either, Sister.”

“Spider-Man!”

“Ooh, Mouthy, just like Loki? Though I can smell your confusion as well as fear. He didn’t tell you anything, has he?”

“…”

“Didn’t think so, it’s not his style.”

“Listen, I don’t care about Loki, or you, or whatever is going on-.”

“You want the Colonel, am I right?” She interrupted flawlessly, “One of my customers, I saved his life, and he does this for me.”

“What for you?”

HOWL!!

The team looked around for the new sound.

“I want to prove something, I want to prove Loki wrong. So, we are doing a game, not like you have a choice, especially when your competitor will tear out the lungs of the prisoners here.” She coldly explained to him, “So, I will give you a five-minute head start before I release my pet-.”

HOWL!!

“You and he will compete to find the crew. Save them all and everyone goes free, or you could just let everyone around you die.” She darkly chuckled, “So, what do you say, Little Spider? Want to play?”

“…How do I know you’ll keep your word and let everyone go?” Peter questioned her, who gasped at the audacity.

“Sir! I am nothing if not for my word. I will make it interesting, I swear, by the Web of Creation itself to keep my word and free everyone on the station. Everyone can go home safe and sound.” She promised him.

Iron Fist then whispered in his ear, “She’s not lying, when a spider makes a promise on the web itself, they can’t break her word.”

Tiger then whispered, “But she won’t play fair, she’s going to do everything it takes to win. We have to be careful.”

Spider-Man took a moment to think about it…

HOWL!!

No, he’s not going to let John die here. He’s bringing him and the entire crew back home.

“Alright, let’s play.”

She then chuckled, “Of course you will. What was that saying about a friend in need? Good luck, Little Spider. I will see you at the command center.”

She then disappeared, leaving webbing behind.

Chapter 6: Spider Wolf Hunting Ground

Chapter Text

In the Space Station…

The group was forced to split up into two groups in order to find the missing crew.

Tsuchigumo watched with a smile.

Pitiful mortals… they naught understand the frailty of the web or the arrogance of the Totems that pin it together. We keep reality growing, thriving, changing, and then eventually, see its end… Thus is the duty of the Moon, the Wolverine, the Panther, the Black Cat, the Bat, the Spider… and the Goblin. Totems they be, born from the chaotic conflict of Creation and Destruction itself to create the order we were spawned from.  And the order was placed, and legend was spawned.

To we who forget those who came before us… this legend stands as a reminder of life, conflict, survival, love, and order…

The Totems have long been the connections of life and reality itself for their sole obligation is to the roles given to them.

To the Moon to act as the beacon of truth, magic, and justice. To the Wolverine acts as the primal instinct of survival, hunting, and endurance. To the Panther to act as the standards set for others and self for honor, duty, and dedication. To the Bat to act as the Omen of the End as Death, Decay, and forget. To the Goblin to become the want for Power, to strive for Strength, Knowledge, and Invincibility. To the Black Cat to trick for amusement or purpose, to birth deception, cunning, and superstition. To the Spider whose webs create beauty, to weave, create, and birth life into the world.

These primordial titans shaped reality as we see and yet, they themselves are not in harmony with their fellow Totems.

The Moon scorns the Black Cat.

The Black Cat shamed the Moon.

The Panther despises the Wolverine.

The Wolverine attacks the Panther.

The Bat eats the Spider.

The Spider poisons the Bat.

The Goblin… brings pain to all for they believed to be the one and only Totem.

Despite their hatred for one another, they never sought war… except for the Goblin.

One day, the Goblin tried to slay the other Totems by turning against each other, causing a terrible war. However, in the midst of the bloodshed and chaos, the Goblin’s tricks were exposed, and the Totems have sealed away to a place Ethereal while the Goblin was shackled by chains with his Demon Children. In order to continue creating the world they built, they chose champions to continue their role and enforce their laws. They would often pit their champions against others to see whose rules were over the totems.

The Goblin, trapped in the fires vowed that his champions will one day free them and they would rule the world.

Thus, she was here to test this unworthy one… one Loki believed to be the next champion. This test would prove to all the web that she was right and he was wrong. The alleged champion would fail and fail and fail, then she would kill him and enjoy watching Loki be made a fool.

“I wonder who the bigger fool is, dearest Sister of the Web.”

From out of the darkness came the Nordic God of Mischief and Spiders, Loki. He caressed the spider he loved so much while watching the mortals below him. The honed one smiled at the progress the boy was making.

“Loki, come to see your champion fail? Or are you ready to admit defeat, yet?” She smirked with the arrogance that came with it, but it only made Loki smirk.

“Shouldn’t you be admitting defeat?”

What?

“Please, with the Curse of the Wolf Spider, I’ve turned that idiot into a complete monster. He’ll rip the boy apart before he makes it to the first victim.” Tsuchigumo bragged while she heard the howls of her pet.

HOWL!!

“It won’t be long now…”

“You may need to assess your hypothesis, for the boy has already saved the first prisoner.” Loki joyfully mocked the spider.

“WHAT!?!?”

Tsuchigumo then looked to see that Loki spoke the truth while Peter Parker cut down one of the missing astronauts.

“It’s okay, you’re safe now,” Powerman assured the freed man.

“Do you know where the others are, or Colonel Jameson is?” Spider-Man asked him.

“…You don’t understand.” He whimpered to them before disappearing.

“…Nicely done, Phony. You managed by luck to rescue one. But the game is not over yet. There are still many more that need to be freed.”

HOWL!!

“And my pet is still hungry.”

“Hey, what did you do to that guy!?!” Powerman demanded from the disembodied voice.

“Calm yourself. I merely brought him to the safe zone at the command center. Every one you saved gets sent there.”

HOWL!!

“But I would be more worried about those you have yet to rescue.”

They watched the heroes, then continued to save the others or die trying.

Loki smirked with his arms crossed.

“Don’t act so smug, he still has much to do, and I still have a few tricks up my sleeve.”
