Work Text:
Luca took the wrapped gift out of his locker surprised that it was there. He’d already opened what was in his stocking from Hondo. He’d also got the golden ticket with Chris. That was awesome as well. There wasn’t a name on the gift to give any indication of who it was from. It was Christmas Eve, so he unwrapped it after he sat down on the bench. The others had already left to go home. He’d already gotten something from all of them before since they hadn’t thought they’d be working today or yesterday.
When he got the paper off it was a painted picture framed of a sunset. The frame itself was also painted in colors you’d find in the sky at dusk. It was beautiful. He smiled looking at the ocean that had been painted in the picture as well. The waves coming up and there was someone on a surfboard. There had been time spent on this because it was neatly done. The shades of paint blending to make it look like the ocean was meeting the sky. The surfer was reaching for it as well with his hand held up.
After a moment he realized that the seashells hadn’t been carved into the frame, but they’d been put there. Someone had gotten them off the beach and glued them to the frame. At the top of the frame were the words ‘Gorgeous, Like You.’ At the bottom it had the words. ‘Forever Yours.’ The words were glued on the frame made from more seashells. It must have taken the person hours to make each letter before they’d put it onto the frame. Then they’d painted it, or maybe they’d painted it before gluing it. The G had probably been the hardest letter to make and there were two of them. Then again maybe it had been the U’s or E’s.
He carefully sat it on the bench before he got changed. Once he was, he picked it back up cradling it to his chest scared he might break it if he wasn’t careful. He didn’t want to break it that was for sure. He left the locker room going down the hall to where some of the higher up S.W.A.T. team leaders had offices. Hondo technically had a desk in one of them, but he hadn’t really seen his boss use it since he’d made team leader.
The door to the office he was looking for was open and he could hear the guys in there laughing and joking. It didn’t have the family feel like the 20 squad did, but the 50 squad was taking the down time after the night they’d all had. They wouldn’t get out of there until the sixty squad took over at three in the morning. With it being Christmas Eve schedules were a little off, over time and if something big like earlier came up it was all hands on deck. He also saw Stevens in there sitting on the edge of Mumford’s desk. Mumford was behind it and he spotted one of the other guys in the chair. Two other guys standing and one was behind the other desk in the room. Two of guys on the team weren’t in the room.
“I thought you would have already taken off, the rest of your squad about ran out of here.” Brandsen said from behind Luca.
“I was fixing to leave. Did you see anyone messing with my locker earlier when you were in there?” Luca asked.
“No, sorry, man. Haven’t been in there since this morning. I had my gear stashed in here. My locks been broken. Rocker had to take the door off to help me get my stuff out after we got back. I had to borrow some gear to roll out.” Brandsen explained. “Three weeks I’ve been complaining about it. I’d been sticking it in Rocker’s but he wasn’t here the other day, so I chanced it.”
“Thanks, Brandsen.” Luca said.
“If someone messed with your locker you should say something. I know Hondo already left, but I think Cortez and Hicks are still here. Mumford and Stevens are in there. I know we all do some pranks, but if something got damaged that’s not right.” Brandsen said.
“No, nothing was damaged, someone left me something. No name on it, I just wanted to thank them.” Luca said.
“Ah, can I see? I might could tell who left it.” Brandsen offered. “I won’t be a jerk about it like some might be.”
Luca looked down at the framed painting. He didn’t know a lot about Brandsen, the guy was new to the 50 squad this year. He hadn’t heard anything bad about him and he had talked to him before. He’d had a crap shift one day and Brandsen had told him that he shouldn’t let it sour his mood for the rest of the evening. Go do something that he enjoyed and think about the fact that they’d saved the little girl. She’d have a better night because they had been there. He had needed those words then. So, he turned the frame around showing Brandsen.
“I have this thing about sunsets. They help calm me. No one on my squad did this. They know I love sunsets, but ever who did this…” Luca trailed off.
“They put a lot of thought into it. Dang, I wouldn’t have had the patience to do all this. My wife loves jigsaw puzzles and after fifteen minutes I’m wanting to walk away. It’s beautifully done. You have a secret admire. Kind of Secret Santa since it is technically Christmas now that it’s after midnight.” Brandsen said. “Wow, this frame was actually carved by hand. You can tell here that no machine made this.” He said pointing to the area. Seeing the frame, he had a suspicion of who had left it. The painting gave more away. He just wasn’t sure if they wanted to be known if they left no note.
“I didn’t even see that at first.” Luca said. “Do you know who did it?” He asked.
“Yeah, they did something a while back for my wife’s birthday when I was stuck on what to do.” Brandsen said. “Don’t say I told you okay and technically I’m not saying, but they’re on the back of their truck in the parking lot. Said he had something he had to do. So, Your secret Santa’s outside now.”
“Thanks, Merry Christmas, I won’t say anything, and I am going that way.” Luca said with a smile.
“True, Merry Christmas.” Brandsen said back going around Luca into Mumford’s office.

Luca got outside looking around. He could hear Christmas music playing nearby and when he walked out more, he spotted someone on the back of the truck beside his bronco. He knew who the truck belonged to. He walked up putting his duffle on top of the hood, but he kept the frame against his chest. He noticed the book sitting on their lap open to a page with a bunch of questions on it. The guy hadn’t noticed him yet, so he looked at a couple. It looked like a practice test. The pencil was tapping against the page for a moment before it came up to his mouth. The pages were turned back to the front, and he looked focused on reading the page he’d turned to.
“I thought you were already a sergeant?” Luca asked startling the guy. The book got shut and the pencil dropped. “Sorry, was fixing to leave and saw you over here. Figured I’d say something, so you didn’t jump when I cranked up.” He said. Damn, did the man look cute at the moment. “Guess I failed in doing that.”
“I zoned out, I know a stupid thing to do, could get me killed somewhere else, but I didn’t figure anyone would be coming at this hour to do anything. Then again there are crazy people out there.” He seriously should have kept himself partially alert.
Mumford would kick his ass for the rookie mistake, but it was late, and he needed to study. He had four more days before he took the test, and he hated written tests. The other part he had no problem with, but he’d always thought he was doing better than he was in school only to flunk a test. Tests were meant to stump you at times too, which sucked.
“It’s my fault, should have found a better way to alert you since I could tell you weren’t paying attention. Don’t worry, secrets safe with me.” Luca said. “I wouldn’t dare rat you out to Mumford. Even if it would be a little bit nice to see you stuck in the gun cage doing inventory. I’ll be nice, it is Christmas.” He grinned. “You are his favorite, so he might not make you do inventory, but I won’t chance it.”
“I’d pull rank and get you in there too.” He grinned back. “It’s the level two sergeant’s exam I’m studying for. I don’t want to be stuck as his shadow forever, plus he’ll either retire or I don’t want to think about the other.”
“True, when Mumford’s out you’re in charge of the 50 squad and you’re good at it. He has kind of trained you to take over if you think about it.” Luca said. “Pushes you a little harder than the other ones on the squad. He knew you had potential when you started here. Sure, you got a snarky prankster side at times, but when it counts you’re all in. Focused as hell and when we team up, like tonight, I’m glad you got our backs.”
He wasn’t sure how he was going to bring up the painting he was holding. Brandsen said the person was out here and he hadn’t been expecting Rocker. It wasn’t a bad thing, he had noticed him before, he’d watched him a few times hoping he didn’t notice that he’d been checking him out. He sometimes wondered if the stuff that Rocker did hadn’t been a way of flirting. He’d brushed it off, but maybe he wasn’t so off about it. Some of those things had been when Rocker first started at S.W.A.T. he’d brushed them off as rookie nerves, but maybe not. It had said ‘Forever Yours’ on the frame. It had to mean that Rocker had been watching him back.
“Thanks, Luca. I’d never do anything to screw up out there.” Rocker said. “We all got things want to prove or try to hide from being seen.”
“Maybe you should take a chance on one of those things.” Luca said. “I found the gift in my locker; I forgot at first that you paint. I remembered the painting you gave Cortez last week for the charity event. You didn’t find it, you painted it, like you did this.” He said, turning the painting around. “I love it, which you knew I would. You made everything on here handmade. Why didn’t you say something instead of putting it in there? I wouldn’t have found it for days since I wasn’t supposed to be working.”
“I might be good at my job, but taking risks on other things, not so much. I wasn’t expecting you to be here. That was the whole reason I put it in there. That way you wouldn’t be able to guess.” Rocker said. “I didn’t want to have to see the look when you said thanks, but you weren’t into me.”
He had been watching Luca for years. He’d tried flirting, but it always came out wrong. The first time he’d seen him he’d barely gotten through a sentence. Still felt embarrassed at times about that. Mumford had thought he’d been drunk. Who wouldn’t think that the way he’d been acting. It had taken a lot of practice not to screw up around Luca. He’d gotten so good at hiding things that he had hoped he wouldn’t figure out the painting. However, Luca was smart, he should have known he’d be found out.

Luca laid the painting inside his Bronco. Then he got up on the back of Rocker’s truck. He had felt Rocker’s eyes on him as he’d put the painting up. He hadn’t gone over the tailgate, instead he’d climbed up using the back tire. So when he landed he was squatting right beside Rocker. Rocker’s eyes on him, he could tell he was waiting to see what he was going to do. He hadn’t said anything in return on Rocker’s statement, but he had gotten up here.
“Maybe you should let me decide what might or might not happen.” Luca said. “I’ll take the risk since you didn’t.” He added before he leaned in the last few inches.
His hand came up to Rocker’s face before he kissed him. He heard Rocker’s moan. He took that as an agreement that he liked this. The slight part of Rocker’s lips was enough to allow him to slide his tongue inside. He deepened the kiss going for Rocker’s tongue with his. He’d thought about a lot when Brandsen had told him the person was out here. The love that had gone into the gift, the time, plus the beauty of it. Finding out the Secret gift was from Rocker made it that much better.
He heard a slight thud before he was being pulled closer. He figured it was the book that had been on Rocker’s lap. He went with the pull straddling Rocker. One knee on either side of Rocker’s legs, caging him in.
His felt Rocker’s hand slide into his hair, the other one sliding under his hoodie and shirt both. He moaned this time feeling the chill of the night air against his back when they were pushed up. It wasn’t freezing, but it was a lot cooler than usual. He wasn’t even sure why Rocker was out here in the coolness. He did have a hoodie on too covering up his S.W.A.T. shirt. When his lungs demanded it, he pulled back from the kiss. He gasped as pleasure went through him feeling Rocker’s thumbs brush over his nipples. The other hand had moved from his hair joining the first one. His body felt more alive right now than it ever had since he’d been a teenager.
“So fucking gorgeous. If it wasn’t cold and we weren’t here, I’d be tempted to beg you for more.” Rocker confessed meeting Luca’s gaze.
His entire body was on fire, but he didn’t want just sex. He wanted more, no one and done would be enough. He hadn’t been expecting Luca’s reaction to the gift. Like he’d said, he had thought he’d get it after Christmas. This did give him hope though. The way Luca had just kissed him, it didn’t feel like a one off. He loved the sound that escaped as he moved his fingers. That pure bliss in Luca’s eyes right now.
“You don’t stop you’re going to cause me to do something I haven’t in years.” Luca said.
He didn’t stop Rocker though, he braced his hands on either side of Rocker where the truck bed met the cab of the truck. He shifted forward just enough gasping when he felt Rocker’s cock against his own even though they were both covered under jeans and cargo pants. He went after Rocker’s mouth again. It wasn’t as frantic this time, less teeth, more lips and tongues.
Rocker’s thumbs were still moving over his nipples getting whimpers and moans. They were always sensitive, but fucking hell it was like they were trigger points right now. He moved one hand from the truck sliding it into Rocker’s hair pulling slightly. He got a groan, but he knew it wasn’t from any real pain. Over the years he’d heard Rocker’s pain groans after an injury when they’d been in the locker room together.
“Stay until my shifts over, follow me home, if you want to. I would really like it if you’d give me a chance. I don’t want to just fuck, and it be forgotten. I like you and I know I was horrible at showing it, but…” Rocker trailed off as Luca’s mouth covered his cutting his babbling off.
“Yes, I’m glad you were my secret Santa. Kind of makes sense too, I may have left you the birthday gift you never figured out who gave you.” Luca said when he pulled back seeing the surprise look on Rocker’s face. “Yeah, I was seriously concerned you might drown or get hurt if you didn’t learn how to surf properly.” He said.
“Well damn. I actually know how to surf, I just seemed to have had the same issue as being around you here when it came to the water. I kept falling off the damn board and nearly drowned that day.” Rocker said before they both started laughing.
“You can surf?” Luca asked when he got the laughter under control.
“Since I was seven. I used it to get out of the house away from my parents. Had a friend’s dad teach me.” Rocker explained. “When I got near you, I seemed to have forgotten everything.” He said.
He seriously shouldn’t have agreed to that surf off that Tan had thrown out, but he’d thought he could. He hadn’t realized Tan invited Luca though. He’d lost a hundred bucks. He’d also gotten a lung full of water that day. He’d been confused over the surf lessons and Tan had sworn he hadn’t done it. The other man had been laughing though. He hadn’t been mad about it, he just couldn’t explain it unless he’d explained that he was in love with Luca.
Luca placed several more kisses on Rocker’s mouth before he pulled back. His shirt and hoodie falling down. He already missed Rocker’s touch, but they couldn’t get carried away here. He was hoping the cameras hadn’t caught them already, but no one was really there with it being Christmas. He reluctantly sat beside Rocker before picking up the dropped book.
“We got until three, every right answer you get a kiss. Wrong ones, I’ll think of something. Maybe how long you have to wait until you cum.” Luca said. “Here’s hoping this won’t be like the surfing or those first few weeks on S.W.A.T. for you.” He smiled. He pulled the blanket over part of his lap too before he opened up to the page of the test questions. When he’d been standing he hadn’t noticed the blanket since it blended in with the color of Rocker’s pants.
“I suck at tests, so it might be your presents that throws me.” Rocker said.
“You made sergeant, and you became a cop to start with. You kicked ass getting into S.W.A.T. I saw your test scores, Rocker. You are going to make level two without a problem.” Luca said.
“A friend helped back then. I guess I got sick of doing push-ups and sit-ups for wrong answers.” Rocker replied.
“Well, I think kisses and orgasm release is a better incentive for getting things right.” Luca stated. “I have something I can wrap up for you for later when you get all of them right. Never used it myself, still in the package.” He grinned. “Might have you sit with it in that perfectly tight ass. It vibrates too.” He saw the glint in Rocker’s eyes at what he was suggesting. “That got your attention. Let’s begin.” He added.
Luca felt Rocker’s hand slide into his as he started asking the questions. He used his free hand to keep the book open. He liked the feel of Rocker’s hand in his. His cock was still hard from the make out session. Every question he called out Rocker was getting them right. He kept his word, giving a kiss for the right ones. By the time he had asked all the ones on the practice test he’d given ninety-seven kisses. Rocker only missed three and those three had been ones he’d been second guessing too. He’d also circled them to look up because he felt the book was misleading. He was getting to be a training officer this year so he wanted to make sure if they came up on the regular S.W.A.T. test too that he could explain them better. They did do practice tests too.
After he’d read out the multiple choice answered he’d turned to one of the scenarios in the back reading it out and getting Rocker to explain what he’d do differently than had been done. He had smiled listening to Rocker. He had no doubt that he would pass making Sergeant II. He put the book aside after that. He knew if you studied too much you could do more harm than good. He also understood Rocker when it came to tests. He had struggled with dyslexia and had fallen under special circumstances. His test had been read to him because of it. It wasn’t as bad as some had it, but there were times it could still trip him up. They talked about stuff while they sat there. Luckily the 50 squad didn’t get another call out and the shift ended.
Luca had to shake Rocker awake because he’d fallen asleep laying against him. They’d both been stiff from sitting on the truck without moving for so long. They might have also ducked down when they’d heard the other members of Rocker’s squad leaving. They really didn’t want to explain anything. When he chanced looking to see if the cost was clear he found Brandsen standing between the bronco and Rocker’s truck.

“See you figured it out. The hickey’s you two got I’m guessing it wasn’t a bad surprise.” Brandsen said with a laugh. “Merry Christmas you two.”
Luca felt his face heat up. They may have made out more during the time after he’d closed the book and before Rocker dozed off. “Merry Christmas, thanks.” He said. He heard Rocker stumble through a Merry Christmas reply too. He looked back at Rocker finding his face also red. “We’ll just have to make sure we put them other places in the future.” He smiled.
“I’m not going to be able to change in there until the ones you made elsewhere go away.” Rocker said.
Luca had lifted his shirt and hoodie up at one point when they’d pulled the blanket up. His mouth had gotten him almost to the point he’d been cumming. Luca had backed off though. He’d been moaning and whimpering while he’d been playing with his nipples. He hadn’t realized it was something he’d enjoy that much. Luca seemed to have the right touch.
“Might be along time, I’m going to add more.” Luca said. “Go get your stuff, I’ll be in the bronco. I’ll follow you home.” Luca said before he got off the back of the truck.
Rocker followed Luca off the back of the truck. He’d put the blanket and book through the open sliding back glass. He’d also dropped his phone through it too. They’d long since turned the music he’d had playing on it off. When he was on his feet he pressed Luca against the bronco and found his mouth.
He held Luca’s hands in one of his sliding the other one under his shirt and hoodie. He kissed Luca while working his nipple with two fingers. Luca moaning and bucking against him as he did it. When air became a problem he ducked his head down capturing the same nipple he’d been torturing sucking it into his mouth after pulling his shirt and hoodie up.
He felt Luca stiffen before his name was tearing from Luca’s mouth. He moved to the second one giving it the same treatment. This time when Luca got close he didn’t switch or pull away. He was blocking Luca’s body from the camera so no one would notice. He slipped his hand just inside wrapping it around Luca’s leaking cock and tugged. Two quick strokes and Luca was cumming in his hand. His body shaking as he went over the edge. He felt Luca’s hands holding onto him after he let go, his breathing coming in pants and gasps. If he wasn’t holding him up, he was sure Luca’s legs would have buckled.
“Merry Christmas, Luca. That’s the first of many I’m giving you today. You’re my Christmas gift, don’t need anything else.” Rocker said. “Whatever your record is, I’m going to break it, maybe not today, but as long as you’ll be mine.” He kissed Luca again before he untangled himself. He made sure Luca wouldn’t fall before he left to get his stuff.
He was glad that Luca found the painting. He was going to have a better Christmas than he had first pictured.
Luca stood against the bronco for a while watching Rocker walk away. He had a feeling that he was going to be left breathless a lot more often. He smiled before he finally got in once his legs were able to move. He’d pay Rocker back later for making him cum in his pants. This was the best Christmas he’d had in a while. He had a feeling the day would only get better. He wasn’t just Rocker’s gift; Rocker was his as well.
~THE END~
