Chapter 1 A princess and a witch

Sophie’s perspective

Sophie had waited all her life for today, the day where one person gets chosen to go to the coveted school for good a school for the rich, powerful, and gorgeous. People like Sophie people destined for greatness.

“Aggie darling does my hair look ok?” Sophie Asked admiring herself in her compact mirror as they sat in the dank dirty hall for evil waiting desperately for the announcement to be made

“You look perfect like always and I know you're going to get in.” Agatha reassured Sophie with a smile. A snort came from next to her best friend “that just because everyone else would rather die than go to that place” Hester snorted arm wrapped around Anadil. “I’d quit like would you three shut up your going to give me wrinkles.” Sophie interrupted a very posh grey-haired woman indicated for everyone to be silent up on stage, but nobody was.

“QUIET!” lady Lesso shouted “and if i hear anyone else speak there going straight to detention” the weaselly boy Hort who was seated in front of Sophie jumped when she shouted

“now” lady Lesso continued “we all  know what today is about so let's get on with it then” she looked toward they grey haired woman who stood up an replied with a nod “ thank you lady Lesso” she looked out to the sea of children down below Sophies heart was racing she could pitcher herself shaking the woman hand and being whisked off to a castle full of princes and princesses

“Now my name is  Clarissa Dovey And i am Dean of the school for good and as you know one very lucky student  is chosen every year to join our prestigious institution now this year it was extremely difficult to choose as you all shone in your own light but one shone above the rest now may i welcome our newest student” Dean said pulling out an envelope from her pocket slowly Sophie was nearly out of her seat ready to to claim her place “Agatha woods!” the Dean boomed Sophie stood up oblivious “thank you Thank you wait WHAT!” Sophie’s head whipped around to look at her supposed best friend blood boiling as Agatha sat there eyes wider than usual “come up here Dear” the dean gestured Agatha stood up eyes looked on Sophie but Sophie looked away unable to hear the cry's for forgiveness Hatred bubbled up inside her as she watched as her “best friend” take HER place, HER scholarship, HER handshake and her trust. Sophie's heart shattered like glass against stone wall along with her dreams of being someone special like her mother promised, and now Sophie didn't see her best friend she saw a witch a horrible ugly WITCH.

Agatha’s perspective

Agatha sat in the in the Pew her head spun to Sophie who was looking at her in horror. “Sophie am sorry I sewer I didn't put my name in-” but her best friend wasn't leaning she was looking straight ahead tears streaming down her cheeks  Agatha look back up at the Dean how gestured for her to join her on stag “come up here dear” Agatha walked  up eye sill glued on Sophie who look back at her as if she was seeing her for the first time gilt built up inside her she turned to the dean. “There must be some mistake I didn’t write an application” Agatha said “Oh but i have it right here.” the Dean replied holding out a sheet of parchment, fair enough it had her name and her information but in her mother's handwriting she tried to tell the Dean this but she was already being ushered  into to the next room where her mother sat “Hello dear how exiting is this I'm just finishing up the last of the paperwork.” her mother spoke with a smile.  Agatha was still in shock of how fast it had all happened the next thing she knew she was in the car on the way home Sophies vengeful face imprinted in her mind “isn't this exciting you get to go one of the best schools in the world for free!” Calis Exclaimed “you sent it in, you caused this” Agatha blurted out “What?” calis replied Agatha shouted unable to keep the tears from strolling down her face  “again, with the Sophie YOU PLAN YOUR WHOLE LIFE AROUND THAT GIRL i just want you to have a chance to go somewhere better.” her mother spat back  “YOU DIDN’T THINK ABOUT WHAT I WANT!” Agatha exclaimed through tears “YOU DID’T EVEN ASK ME!” Her mother signed “because I new exactly what you would say! You’d tell you couldn’t because Sophie wants to, well I don’t care about Sophie I care about you and your future I don’t want you to waste your life in Gavaldon waiting for Sophie to take you on walks like a dog, you a smart girl Agatha and you could really go places if you put more time into yourself. So, forgive me for trying to give you a better chance at life.” Agatha opened her mouth to protest but Calis interrupted her “you’re going and that’s that, I don’t want to hear anymore about it.” And that was the end of that. Agatha picked up her phone she. She’s been blocked by Sophie on messenger she she went to WhatsApp blocked there too had Sophie blocked her on Everything, Instagram There to. wait Sophie is TikTok right? Agatha rush to download it as soon as she could. great they weren't home yet no Wi-Fi. She would just have to wait till she got home luckily, she did not have to wait long and immediately it started downloading she created an account as fast as she could. Sophie king Yep there, she was Agatha she rushed to message her, but she was blocked before could.
