A club which Reo should've not joined, but did

Summary:

At Reo’s school, the more you do, the higher chances you'll be able to get scholarships. You can even get a scholarship for being in the bathroom the longest! Probably. Maybe. Okay, it's not that exaggerated, but if Reo is able to add “Gaming club” onto his college resume for extracurricular activities, he will.
Yes, he's already in eleven other groups, but he wants to hit the max. The max of twelve clubs.
Looking up at the board at the start of the school year, and again, no soccer. Reo grunts to himself as his eyes lower down to a crumpled up paper. “Gaming club, after school everyday.”

At first, Reo didn't think he would join an obscure group like that, he needed something actually productive. But with the deadline of elective picking almost coming to a halt, he got desperate. Real desperate.

So desperate, he made a promise.

Notes:

Warning!! I'm really repetitive with my words, so if you see the same word ten times in a paragraph, just ignore it 😭. Btw, I added little comments on my writing, just ignore it plss!! The concept is kind of stupid, but I love writing fluff. I just had to y'all!!

(Yes I'm indeed Texan. Can you tell with the last sentence?)

And also, it is kind of fast pacing for the first chapter(s), so something could happen and isn't fully developed correctly. Sorry!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: It's a promise

Chapter Text

At Reo’s school, the more you do, the higher chances you'll be able to get scholarships. You can even get a scholarship for being in the bathroom the longest! Probably. Maybe. Okay, it's not that exaggerated, but if Reo is able to add “Gaming club” onto his college resume for extracurricular activities, he will.

Yes, he's already in eleven other groups, but he wants to hit the max. The max of twelve clubs.

Looking up at the board at the start of the school year, and again, no soccer. Reo grunts to himself as his eyes lower down to a crumpled up paper. “Gaming club, after school everyday.” “Yikes, who would join that?” Mumbles of peoples opinions on specific groups spread around the whole board. Reo feels a light tap on his shoulder.

“Uhm.. You’re Reo right?” A girl, maybe at least 5’3, begins to become a giggling mess with her friends surrounding her. She continues, “We think you would be a perfect fit for our club, the–”

“Ahh, sorry ladies! I'm not really interested in anything else right now.” They all go screaming away, with a few, “I'm sorry!” and “Whatever you say!!”. He sighs to himself, what will be his last activity? He just needs one more. One..

Reo raises an eyebrow to that paper again.

Gaming club.. Maybe I'll just think about it~..

Well, he definitely thought about it. Because if he didn't, you wouldn't think he would be in front of a room with the words “Gaming club” plastered on the top. Weirdly enough, he feels.. Nervous? He takes a deep breath before he gives a harsh knock on the wooden door. Silence. Knock again.

Silence.

“Is there no one in the club?” Reo mutters to himself as he grips on his side bag aggressively. He glances at the clock. 4:20. School ended twenty minutes ago. Reo turns around sighing.

White. White hair?

“Uhm.” A white haired boy is staring straight at him. No emotion found in his face, not even any blood circulation. His hair was not well kept, and was messy. There was a large bang covering his nose. “Who was this guy?” Reo thinks. “I've never seen him here.”

“Are you a part of the gaming club?” Reo asks. The other boy just keeps staring at him. Eventually, he gets a key out of his pocket and slighty nudges Reo to the side.

“Hey! You could've said excuse me or answered my question..” Reo stutters under his breath.

“Ah. Sorry. Yeah, I'm a part of it.” Before he could even reply, he was ready to close the door on the most adored guy in the whole school.

“Woah, woah, woah! I want to be in the group, too.” Reo exclaims. The boy turns to him and tilts his head. His eyebrows furrow and ask a simple, “You for real?”

Don't ask how Reo got into this situation, he just did. He didn't realize how boring this guy could be. Surprisingly, he had most of his classes together. He would sit in the back of the class, rotting away in silence.

“Soo, what's your name, mysterious boy?” Reo has an obsession with teasing, but it seems like this guy didn't react in any way. He was sitting on a bean bag while Reo is sitting on a couch. This room is really nice compared to the classrooms. It was also quite warm, with it being at the very top of the building.

“Nagi Seishirou.” Ahh, Nagi. Now he remembers. He would remember how the girls in his class would rant about him. And not in a good way. They would start rumors about him which would travel around the whole school. The most popular one right now is “if you talk to him, you'll get bad luck!” Reo never really understood what was do different about Nagi, but I guess he understands now.

“Boo.. I died.”

“Hey Nagi.. Is this an actual club? Aren't there supposed to be at least four members?” Reo flops his arm over the back of the coach to get a better look at Nagi since the coach was faced the other way. Nagi looks up at him with wide eyes.

“Wait. Aren't you that rich guy who's in the student council?” He points a finger at Reo, almost like he's accusing him. But he isn't wrong, Reo is rich, and in the student council.

Reo rubs the back of his neck. Was this really all he was known for? “Uh, yeah. But I won't tell anyone about this if you are thinking that.” Nagi is giving puppy eyes, why? “You good, Nagi?”

Nagi lowers his focus back onto his phone. Maybe he was hallucinating, Nagi isn't the type of guy to do that. To do puppy eyes. “It's weird. No one has had an interest in me, so why are you trying to talk to me?” Nagi knows that Reo has heard about his rumors, and despite that, he's putting effort in for him. Or is he taking it the wrong way?

Reo hums. “I dunno, I think I'm just nice to everyone. Plus, everyone at this school is the same.. They're like clones!” Nagi agrees with him, nodding his head.

“I really hope I become close to you, it just feels like destiny.” Reo says. He gets out a compacted comb/mirror and begins to adjust his appearance.

“You know, you don't really have to do that. You're naturally handsome. Or pretty, maybe words have specific genders or something.” Nagi states blankly. Reo cheeks turn a light pink, and he immediately closes his mirror. He's never reacted to a comment like that. Why is Nagi affecting him so weirdly? “This is so weird.” Reo mutters, bringing his knees to his chest and crossing his arms.

Nagi hums in the silence.

“Oh my gosh, Chigiri! Stop!!” Reo blushes as he covers his face with his arms. He decided to leave the club early since he didn't feel good. At first, he thought some coffee would make him feel better, but with the redhead finding out about Reo’s symptoms, he began to mock him.

“Reo, Reo, you literally are thinking sappy thoughts about him and blushed when he complimented him.” Chigiri laughs off, pointing wildly at Reo. Reo bangs his palm on the table ready to justify his actions.

“Listen! It's normal to blush about compliments. Number two, they aren't sappy thoughts. Saying that he's affecting me weirdly is not like a crush. Number three, I met him today. Today!”

“Okay loverboy, whatever you say.~” Chigiri mocks as he drinks his coffee. Reo gives a deep sigh. “It probably isn't a crush, maybe it's just weird to not have someone be shocked talking to you.”

Even though Chigiri teases Reo, if he hears Reo’s actual emotions, he'll take them seriously. “Well, that is true. And him complimenting you was like, out of the blue, right?” Reo puts his head in his arms and nods in reply. “But this is Nagi we're talking about.. Maybe he didn't know he was flirting? He doesn't talk to anyone so I doubt he has communication skills.” The more Reo thinks about it, the more he wants to die inside. It’s embarrassing enough to be ranting about a guy like a middle school girl, but when you're a popular guy at your school that every girl, or even boys, blush about, that's on a whole nother level of embarrassment!

“I might just get Ba-Ya to pick me up.” Reo says digging in his pocket. “Where's my phone?” Reo shrieked, as he pats himself down.

“Reo!”

Reo’s ears turn red as he turns around. As he thought, Nagi.

“You left your phone.” Nagi grunts. He gestures to Reo to pick his phone out of his hand, aiming the device towards him.

“Ah! Thank you so much, Nagi!” Reo glees as he quickly snatches it out of his grip. Nagi gives a look over at Chigiri, who has an eyebrow raised at Reo.

“So you must be Nagi, right? Reo was–” Before Chigiri could continue, Reo gives a loud slap on his back.

“Reo was what?”

“Reo was trying to get coffee and this coward here asked why I wasn't at home yet! He got into my business and was asking questions about you! Wow, stories over! Now I'm going home, Chigiri is going home, and you're probably going home!” Reo was talking so fast that even the cars that were passing by were going slower. Nagi’s eyes go wide—again. “Those damn gray, lifeless eyes..” Reo pinches himself as he thinks.

“Well, anyway.. I'm going home, Reo. Have a nice talk with Nagi~!” Chigiri teases.

“Sorry about him..” Reo laughs off, rubbing his arm. He looks down, pressing firmly onto the power button. “Oh come on, turn on, turn on!” Reo repeats throughout his head.

He looks both ways of the road infront of him hoping for an answer, or an excuse, to get out of this.. situation. Nagi is still right by his side. Maybe that’s why Reo is feeling so tense. He really shouldn't have took Chigiri’s crush idea so seriously, because now he feels weird. And not a good weird. Like a strange weird, that Reo thought he could never feel.

A monotone voice breaks through Reo’s strong barrier of thoughts. “Is it dead?” Nagi asks.

“Hahaha.. Yeah.” Reo awkwardly replies, almost sounding drunk with the way he began to slur his words. Reo gives the taller boy a strong glance, and look at that, Nagi is already looking back. For some reason, there was so, so much tension between the two of them. The way Nagi’s eyes lazily scan over Reo’s features for any response of what to do, almost like a desperate puppy. “I really need to stop comparing him to a dog..” Reo turns his head the other way with an obvious whistle, screaming Please stop looking at me, I'm obviously embarrassed.

“Are you going to get going? It's getting late, Nagi.” Reo says, attempting to muster a conversation.

“Mhm. I was waiting for Reo to leave, since you know, your phone died.” Nagi states, ruffling his hair. He continues, “I thought you would call someone to pick you up.” “Oh. Ohh.. So that was what he was waiting for.” Reo sighs happily to himself.

“So, do you have a ride?” He asks, turning his head to Reo. Reo gives him a look back for a moment or two, before shaking his head no. “I live in the dorms, you can charge your phone over there and then text your parents to pick you up.” Nagi says in exchange to his problem. He begins to walk down the street where the dorms are located.

“Hey! I didn't say if I was going or not.” Reo grunts, trailing after Nagi. Nagi glimpsed over his shoulder to Reo ‘fast-walking’ after the tall boy. Nagi slows his pace and brings his palm up to his mouth to muffle his laugh. Reo Mikage, one of the richest CEO’s son, is running after him. Mikage. “Woahh, that’s a soothing last name that Reo has, maybe I should ask about it.” Nagi thinks as he notices Reo comes back to his side, losing his breath.

“That wasn't fun.. This isn't how our classmates describe you, you're an absolute tease!!”

Nagi, still covering his mouth, mutters out, “I'm not like this, I don't know why I'm acting like this.”

“Hm? Whatcha say?”

“Nothing, Reo.”

The path towards the apartments was surprisingly quiet. Usually it is packed with tons of people. But Reo usually only saw how it was around 4:00-4:10, when everyone is leaving for home. And of course, walking with a ‘freak’, which a ton of people would consider Nagi whenever they are around Reo to “impress” him, is going to feel awkward, leading to it being quiet. (Wow shocker I know I just over complicated my writing..)

“Reoo, get in your own lane..” Nagi whines, awakening Reo. His body has been colliding with Nagi the whole entire walk.

“Fine, fine.” Reo complies, brushing over his body. “Nagi, are we friends?” Yikes. Reo’s mind worked on its own without a warning and let out a question.

“Mhm. Not really, but if you want to be, sure.”

“What kind of answer was that?!” Reo offers him a disgusted look. He really needs to learn how to contain his facial expressions.

“What is that supposed to–”

“Reo, we're here.” Nagi unlocks the door, opening it wide open for the both of them.

Ah, this kind of looks like a..” Reo’s eyelids lower in disbelief.

“A prison cell.”

Nagi gives him a cold glance with a side of silence. “This is my home, not a cell. Blame the school for it being sucky..” Nagi whines in reply. Reo gives him a strong chuckle before he finally goes inside.

“So, where’s your room? I need to charge my phone, like, ASAP.” Reo warns as he nudges Nagi. He points towards the short hallway. Reo pushes the door open expecting a large mess (for some reason..), but was surprised with a clean, tidy room.

“Woah, Nagi!” Nagi tilts his head to the side as the shorter boy turns around quickly to look at him.

“Your own room is also like a prison!” Nagi should've expected this, it's not like he would praise a room this tiny. But he is a Mikage after all. He sighs under his breath as he watches Reo plug in his phone.

“Hey, get off my bed, Reo..” Nagi grunts as he dramatically drops down on his bed. Reo pulls up his body and a giggle leaves his body. Reo and Nagi lay eye contact, with Reo firstly departing, with a light tint covering his cheeks. Reo gets up brushing his clothes off. “Does Reo think I'm an actual peasant..” Nagi thinks.

“I'll get going no- HA?!” Reo gets rudely interrupted while getting pulled down to Nagi’s bed. His body weight falls onto the bed lightly, like a feather. He's now right by Nagi–once again. Even worse, in bed. Oh, how Chigiri would react if Reo told him he was already in a guys bed.. (I know, the 4th wall is broken, but the amount of times I said bed in this paragraph..)

“I have to get home, Nagi!” Reo utters out, with a strong force stopping him. Nagi has gripped onto Reo’s collar like a little kitten. Reo scrambles around on the bed, looking for an answer to get out of this mess.

“Hey, I just need to ask something.” Reo stops in place.

“I'm about to say something kind of weird. I want you to make a promise to me, for the next seven days, starting tomorrow, I want you to try to become as close as you can to me. Beg on all fours for all I care, I want to see how hard a Mikage can really try.” Reo gazes with curiosity. What was this all about?

“Ha! You think I could lose a challenge like this?”

“Mhm. I want to see how desperate you could get, ha..”

Reo gives a light knock on the top of Nagi’s head, confirming if he understands what he is saying. Nagi utters an ow as he rubs the spot.

“This can't be that hard, Nagi. You're about to lose!”

Nagi appreciates his enthusiasm. “This is a promise, not a challenge, Reo.~”

Reo gives a large wave goodbye at Nagi as he steps into his limousine.

“Reo’s kinda stupid.. Stupid Reo.” Nagi mutters, covering his blush blossoming. He gives back a wave, but quite smaller.

“It’s a promise, Reo.”

“It’s a promise, Nagi.~”

Chapter Text

“Oh my gosh, I forgot to get an extra electrive!” A girl rants, fidgeting with her fingers anxiously.

“Atleast you got one, some people forgot to choose.” Another woman replies, picking at her new done nails. The other girl nods her head quietly.

“Girls, did y'all hear about Shidou? He didn't pick one and got forced out of the school.” The girls laugh in unison.

“I think it was because he didn't like the elective he got. I'm pretty sure he got it with Rin Itoshi-” Before she could finish her sentence, she gets interrupted by her friend.

“Yeah, yeah! They're the worst pair ever, aren't they?” She states, twisting around her hair. They all agree, with their “yeahh” and “true” echoing.

“Those three are gossipers..” Nagi thinks. His head is burrowed under his arms, which are crossed. He brings one of his arms up to his scalp, massaging it lightly. “I guess Reo thought I was joking or something, he hasn't talked to me all day.” He sighs.

“Oh!- Hey Reo, How..” She coughs, attempting to clear her throat. “How are you doing? You wouldn't mind if I sat with you and your friends, right?” She says clearly, with her friends cheering silently, as if they're cheerleaders. Which, they are. Of course they are.

“Ah. Sorry, I'm kind of in the middle of something.” Nagi brings up his head with his eyes fluttering open. As expected, Reo is at the front of the classroom being surrounded by the three. His hand rubbing the back of his neck, he smoothly walks away from the crowd of multiple girls, and boys, asking him questions. “Ahh, such a pain.. So loud.” Nagi mumbled.

“Hey, Nagi! You haven't spoken to me at all!” Reo announces loudly, giving the whole class a chance to turn around.

“Huh?! Why is Reo speaking to that sloth..” A girl shutters, gripping tightly onto her hair. “I can't believe he chose to talk to him over me..” Reo puts a harsh hold onto Nagi's shoulder, shaking him.

Nagi brings his head up, blinking multiple times back at him. He musters a reply together, “No, Reo has been the one not talking to me. I told you, you're supposed to be the one trying to get closer to me, not the other way around.” Nagi states blankly. Did Nagi intentionally whisper out the last sentence so no one would hear it, other than Reo? Obviously, that's Nagi Seishirou for you.

“Alright then.. As soon as that bell rings, I'll follow you where you eat.” And that's Reo Mikage. He gets himself to sit at the desk in front of Nagi’s “rotting” body. He turns fully, now facing Nagi properly.

There was one class period before lunch, and the teachers had already left. It was now left with around twenty teenagers, waiting for that last ring. Nagi sighs, putting his head back down. Reo gives a light chuckle, rubbing through Nagi’s pure, white locks.

“Woah, Reo is really putting into this promise.” Nagi says, with one eye peeking at Reo. Reo gives a signal back, with his eyes glittering with hope. “Makes me sad, you're only doing thi-”

“RING! RING!”

Nagi angrily slams his head back into his arms–for the billionth time. Reo gets up, pulling his bag onto his side. He nudges Nagi.

“Come on Nagi, I said I'd follow you, didn't I?” He teases.

Nagi grunts, pulling his body back up. His head felt fuzzy, with his vision going black for a moment. “Alright.” Nagi nuzzles his hand into his hair. “Come on, Reo.”

“I'm following you, treasure.”

“Okay, boss.”

After the third staircase, they finally got to their destination.

“Nagi.” Nagi turns around to Reo, with his face already saying everything. There was a pinch of “are you serious?” and “no way” in his expression. But overall, it was definitely confusion.

“What?”

“You say everything is a hassle, but you think it's fine to walk through three, four, or whatever amount of stairs we just climbed?” Nagi glances at the door, which leads to the outside rooftop. Following Nagi’s eyes, Reo understands now. He pushes open the door, to the wind giving them a wide welcome.

“Go up that ladder, I like it up there.” Reo nods in reply, walking further outside.

Reo lays his back onto the wall while sitting criss crossed. Nagi is right beside him, slouching slightly towards Reo’s direction. He’s playing some sort of shooting game with zombies. “You really do like games, huh?” Reo hums silently, feeling relaxed. He rolls lower and lower down, until only his head and half of his back is set on the wall. Nagi replies with a lazy “yeah.”

He opens his backpack, bringing out a bento. On one half, there was rice filled to the brim with steak on the side. On the other side, there were 3 sushi pieces, soy sauce, and a soft boiled egg cut in half. “Woahh, Reo’s food looks nice.” Nagi observes, putting his phone down.

“It does, doesn't it?~” Reo teases. “What about you Nagi, what are you eating?”

He shrugs, staring down at Reo’s meal, like a hungry hyena. “I usually just drink lemon tea from a can or something.” Reo gasps, with Nagi eyes widening at the reaction.

“What the hell?! You're tall and have a regularly nice figure! You look so healthy, but you only drink lemon tea?!” He exclaims.

“Thank you?” Nagi states, raising an eyebrow. Reo didn't mean to make it sound like a compliment, but I guess it came out like that. “And you're forgetting that I also have other meals during the day.” Reo stares at Nagi with embarrassment. His face turns pink, with it reddening with him face palming himself.

“Yeah, sorry.. What else do you eat, then?” Reo says, rubbing his face, frustrated. Nagi scratches his head as he looks down to his shoes.

“For breakfast I eat jelly, lunch is lemon tea, and I usually skip dinner.” He shrugs off. Reo gives him a wide-eyed expression. “Nagi truly has to be the most lazy person ever, but that's the cute thing about him.” Reo thinks to himself, as he pulls his knees up to his chin.

“Hey, I already know I'm lazy, you don't have to remind me.” Nagi sighs, pulling his phone back out of his pocket.

No way. No fucking actually way. Like, actual pure NO fucking way.

“Huh? Did I say that out loud?”

“Reo, can you feed me? I'm actually hungry now because of your food..” Nagi whines, letting his head lay on top of Reo’s shoulder. Yup. Reo has to be dreaming right now. But at least this whole entire promise is going correctly, right?

“Yeah, sure.” Reo grabs his chopsticks and picks up some rice with the steak. It was tempting for Reo to say “Ahh” like he’s in the dentist, extremely tempting. But he complied with holding the food and shooting it into Nagi’s mouth while his other hand was underneath Nagi’s chin, to clean up any messes.

It was so.. Intimate? The way Reo’s stomach felt like it was flipping over on itself with the way Nagi closed his eyes carefully. Reo was going to explode if Nagi made eye contact with him as he was eating. With his hand moving on its own, Reo cups Nagi’s cheek, grazing off all the rice that surrounds Nagi’s mouth. Strangely enough, it didn't bother Reo with the way Nagi’s hair kept tickling his neck.

“Good?” Reo asks softly. Nagi hums in response, burrowing his head deeper into Reo’s neck. His breath evens out, signaling to Reo that he may or may not be sleeping right now.

“Oh my goodness, why did I agree to this promise..” Reo says, with his eyebrows furrowing. He runs his finger through Nagi’s silver locks, detangling any tangles. The pink shade on cheeks compliments his uneven bangs, which are dyed with a colorful violet.

“Nagi..”

“Nagi?”

“Na-”

“RING! RING! ALL STUDENTS MUST NOW GO TO THEIR FIFTH PERIOD! ALL STUDENTS MUST NOW GO TO THEIR FIFTH PERIOD!”

“Oh my Lord, please, please, please. Tell me I do not have to carry this sloth to his class.” He grumbled, massaging his temple. He yells out one last Nagi, with no response, again.

“Yoo! Reoo.. Reo? What the hell is happening with you?!” One of Reo’s “pals” quickly gets out of their seat to give a glance at what was making Reo make such an expression. Such an expression of exhaustion, embarrassment, and literally everything in between.

“Take.. Him off my back, already!” Reo groaned, pulling up his head. And there he was, Nagi in all his glory–On Reo’s back. The whole entire group of Reo fangirls went silent, with a few clicks of phones going off. He should've expected someone would take a picture of something like this. With Reo holding onto Nagi securely, the other boy holds out his arms to make sure to catch Nagi (or Reo) if he falls. Reo squats down, laying Nagi onto the ground with his head laying on the wall.

“Uhh, don't you think we should've just laid him in his seat?” The boy questions, looking over at Reo.

“Listen up,” Reo starts. “If I have to drag him to his seat, I might as well go insane. We'll just wait for him to wake up and go walk himself to his chair, alright?” He threatens, smiling his mouth off as he walks to his seat.

“Woah, Reo being threatening, who could've seen that coming?” Reo turns around so fast he might as well make a tornado with the wind he moved. And he as thought, Nagi is awake with his sleepy gray eyes, looking up at Reo walking again.

“I'm not dragging you to your desk. The teacher will come out any second now.”

“Wow, now Reo is being really mean.”

Reo gives him an annoyed glance as he walks back to his desk.

Reo waves his hand excitedly giving his friend a goodbye. “Bye! See ya tomorrow!” Reo screams out, walking towards the soccer field. No one was there, once again.

Something in his gut felt extremely strange, and it almost got to such a weird level that it made him want to puke. He kicks the ball into the goal once again. He rubs his hands together as he feels the cold air brush over his skin. He looks around for any other students blowing around warm air.

“Hey, you're Reo right? I've heard some stuff about cha’.” Reo turns to a, surprisingly, tall cyan head. He has headphones around his neck, with the normal uniform like everyone else. He has bright blue eyes with long eyelashes.

“Sorry, but do I know you?” Reo questions.

“It's nothin’, I'm not that known anyways. Name is Hiori, Hiori Yo.” He chuckles ruffling the back of his head. Reo tilts his head out of nervousness. He gives an awkward laugh before looking back down at his soccer ball.

“So, what do you need? Do you need anything?” Reo asks.

“Ya know Nagi Seishirou, right? He said he wanted me to look for you.” Reo keeps a loving smile, as if he was being held at gunpoint. He needs to find out about his feelings for this guy, because you should not be shaking in fear when someone mentions them.

Especially if you met them only one day ago.

Reo, get a gigantic grip.

Reo creaks the door open, peeking in. As he expected, Nagi was laying in the same spot he always laid in. Nagi quickly brings his head up to be met with Reo’s figure. Reo closes the door behind him before he speaks up.

“So?”

“So.”

Reo internally slaps himself (and Nagi, but he wouldn't do that.) as he forces a fake smile. “Okay, so what do you need?.” Nagi looks back up at him putting his phone down. He pouts, giving Reo an annoyed look. Obviously, there wasn't a ton of emotion painted on his face, like always, but it was enough to be shocking.

“Reo, you actually suck ass. People always dick-ride you, and I don't get it. You're not tryingg..” Nagi whines, purposely slurring the last word. Reo gives a large exhale. Behind Nagi’s large figure, he's secretly a big giant whiny baby. And now Reo understands that.

“Goodness, Nagi. How hard do you want me to try?!”

“As hard as me.”

“What?!” Reo’s face becomes flushed with pink as he looks the other direction. Nagi turns head slightly, attempting to understand why Reo is so embarrassed.

“I thought you liked funny guys.” Nagi asks.

Reo shakes his head. “How the hell was that funny.”

“I dunno.”

“Where’d you even hear that from?” Reo says, sitting beside Nagi. He wipes both his pants and the couch down.

“Some manga I was reading.” Nagi yawns, laying his head into Reo’s neck. Be breathes in his cologne, consuming him fully. His nose nuzzles into Reo’s bright hair, holding onto his arm.

“Goodness, you big baby.” Reo sighs. He brings his hand up to run his hand through Nagi’s hair. Nagi hums in response. Now Reo was really confused. Who would've known the biggest mystery of a guy at his school had attachment issues. Or even more crazier, attachment issues for the richest teenager in Japan.

And Reo was obsessed with Nagi the same way.

But Reo wouldn't say that aloud, or to himself.

Reo has been a statue for the past thirty minutes. Let’s just hope that Ba-Ya is not worrying right now. Maybe she should, because Reo’s blood circulation feels like it has been cut off. With a 6,3 man leaning all over you, you definitely are dying somehow.

Maybe Reo was dying. His face was fully red and he hadn't touched his phone once. He keeps glancing at the clock, and the more he looks, the more time goes slower. Soon enough, time will go so slow that Reo will finally understand he does may like Nagi.

Reo continues to do deep breaths. Until he hears someone call out his name. (Actually, it was Nagi’s, but it's pretty similar)

“Nagi? How did your little thing go?” Ah, it was that one guy. Hiori, was it?

“Hiori! Uhm, Nagi is a little asleep right now..” Reo gives him an awkward smile, playing with Nagi’s locks once again. Hiori’s face goes blank as he stares at Reo. Wait, no. He's looking at Reo and Nagi. Oh no.

Oh no. He definitely thinks me and Nagi are in a relationship! Is he going to tell his friends? What if his friends tell their friends and it goes around the school? And what was the whole “little thing” about?

“Well, Nagi’s idea worked I guess.”

What?

“Don't worry about it. How long do ya want Nagi to be stuck like that?” Hiori glees at Reo, waiting for a reply.

But Reo was still confused. What was the “little thing” that Hiori was talking about? And Nagi’s idea? How the fucking hell did it work?

Reo tilts his head curiously, looking back at Hiori. “I guess if he doesn't pull back, I can go.” Reo replies, moving back his hand from Nagi’s hair. Nagi was clinging onto Reo’s arm, nuzzling his head into his nape. His hot breath grazing over Reo’s ear made Reo feel incredible. It gave him warmth that he didn't know about. But he needs to go.

If he stays like this any longer, he will get attached.

“I’ll be waiting outside the school, usually my mom picks both of us up.” Hiori waves to Reo, walking into the hallway while closing the door behind him. Reo sighs, attempting to loosen up Nagi’s grip.

“What the hell?!” Reo stutters. Maybe it was because Nagi was gigantic? But was he so gigantic that he’s pulling down all his weight to Reo? Nagi’s grip wasn't loosening up at all! Reo begins to get desperate. He gets up, with Nagi still latching onto his arm, and starts to walk away. Or tries. Nagi tightened. Is he awake?

Reo quickly turns his head to a very asleep Nagi. He turns back to look at the clock. “Nagi, come on. I know you're awake. Let go of me!”

And as expected, he hears a whine. A very familiar whine, despite only hearing it to a max of two days. “Reoo~.. I'm tired, carry me again. Or cuddle with me longerr..” Oh, how Nagi knew how to absolutely push Reo’s buttons. Both his annoyance button and his soft spot button.

Reo is back on the couch since he got rudely interrupted with a large pull. Nagi gives him those stupid puppy eyes he always does.

“Hiori is waiting for you. Don't make him wait any longer or I won't come tomorrow.” Nagi groans, pulling back. He pouts as he watches Reo get up.

“Nagi, you look like a big baby. Come on, let’s get you home.” He puts his hand out and Nagi accepts.

They walk slowly down the stairs, with Reo watching Nagi’s every move. He didn't want him to randomly fall asleep and trip all over the steps. Their intertwined fingers lay over each other, like it was meant to be.

As Nagi looks up, Hiori and his mom’s car are already waiting for him. Hiori is in the backseat waving at Nagi through the window. Nagi looks at Reo. Oh, how Nagi fell for that warm smile Reo would do. The wind blew in such a perfect way, which made Reo look a goddess. The warm tint that ingrained his skin from the sun.

“Nagi?” Nagi blinks a few times before realizing how long he has been staring. They were already outside, so Reo had broken their hands a while ago.

“You gonna go to Hiori?” Reo asks. I wish I was going with you instead. Nagi thinks.

“Yeah. Bye, Reo.” Nagi turns around to a gleeful

Reo waving back at him. Nagi’s stomach twists as his eyes widen to the sight.

Oh, is he in love?
