Chapter Text

Prologue:

Twilight Sparkle paced the map room anxiously, her cutie mark was flashing faster than it ever had before. Spike had given up on trying to calm her down and fell asleep on his seat around the map. The sound of fast hooves filled the hallway and twilight finally stopped pacing, waiting for her friends to appear through the door. And just like that, Rainbowdash charged through, followed closely by Apple Jack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Fluttershy.
“Twilight! What in equestria is going on?” Apple Jack said, stopping in front of her. The rest of the group found their seats around the map, waiting for answers.
“Me and Fluttershy were making cupcakes for derpys birthday party! And when we checked with her to see if the toppings were right, she told us our cutie marks were flashing like super duper crazy! So we looked down and they were all like flash flash flash flash flash!” pinkie exclaimed, while Fluttershy nodded in confirmation.
Twilight settled in her seat around the map as Pinkie spoke, and Apple Jack followed behind her.
“Let’s see what the map says.” Twilight finally looked down at the map, which was also going crazy. The silhouette of an unknown creature flickered the same rhythm as their cutie marks.
“W-what’s that?” Fluttershy asked, her voice trembling. A bright blue flashed where the creatures eyes would be, causing them all to jump back.
“It wants us to go there?” Apple Jack asked in astonishment.
“Not without preparing it doesn’t! I need to find out what this creature is and what it might want from us!” Twilight answered, determination causing her eyes to sparkle.
“So what do we do darling?” Rarity spoke.
Twilight tapped her chin with her hoof, deep in thought for a moment.
“Rainbow Dash, Apple Jack, you two prepare for any fighting that might happen, Fluttershy, Rarity, you help me find information about this unknown creature. And pinkie pie…. You just be pinkie pie. Alright! Together, we are the Guardians of Harmony!” The group exploded in to cheers, which finally woke spike up.
“Huh..? Morning already? What I miss?”

Chapter Text

Twilight had used her magic to teleport the 7 of them back to her treehouse so they could discuss their plans to find Geto and Nightmare Moon.
Twilight had her hooves deep in a book she hoped might have information about Nightmare Moons whereabouts.
Spike was beside her, writing down any notes Twilight considered important.
“this is boring! can’t we do something productive? like, actually look for them?” Rainbow dash questioned, laying nearby Applejack, who answered that question.
“we need a starting point, or else we would be searching all of Equestria and beyond for days.”
“And where would i find time to curl my mane?” Rarity added, sitting by one of the bookshelves with Fluttershy, a cup of tea at both of their hooves.
Pinkie pie was near by, with a magnifying glass inspecting words on a book, a pencil buried in her tail.
“ah hah!” she exclaimed, jumping up, before slowly sitting back down, as if she had lost what she was about to say.
“darling, that books about worms..” Rarity pointed out, looking rather disgusted.
“exactly!” Pinkie replied. the mention of worms sparked Fluttershys interest.
“worms? oh, they are such adorable little creatures. did you know earthworms are both male and female?”
“that’s like super duper awesome!” Pinkie responds. “wanna read this book with me Fluttershy?”
“i would love to!” Fluttershy got up and sat beside Pinkie pie, who was still analysing the book deeply. Rarity finished her tea and approached Gojo, who was sitting on a couch, fidgeting with the bandages which covered his eyes. he was pretty big for the place, but he hadn’t broken anything. …yet, atleast. the couch looked like it could break under him. he didn’t seem to mind that though.
“Gojo, how DO you keep your hair like that? it’s quite the statement!” Rarity asked, eyes glowing with interest.
“Well, it’s not something i go out of my way to achieve, really. the eye covering just makes it go upwards. but it is pretty cool, huh?” Gojo responds, a cocky grin across his face.
“it really compliments your character!” Rarity nodded.
“right?” Gojo agreed, and rarity chuckled, having expected him to just say thanks or something.
“Hey, Gojo, Wouldn’t you know wherever Geto is?” Rainbow asked, sounding bored as ever.
“i know as much as you do.” he answers simply. “he is somewhere in Equestria.”
Rainbow dash huffed in annoyance, but then twilight spoke up, quoting the book she was reading.
“the perfect time to form a pact, is the dark of night when the moon is halfed. when the moon is split so to will the prize be, deep in the forest of everfree.”
spike worked quickly to write that down, and everypony turned to look at twilight.
“Forest of Everfree?” Gojo repeated.
“The Everfree Forest is a forest located at the very center of Equestria. It is home to many wild creatures that are capable of taking care of themselves instinctivly without the need of pony aid. The plants also grow wildly and the weather natually occurs without pegasi aid either. How the forest does all this is unknown and feared to Equestrian ponies and is considered unnatual by them.” Twilight explained quickly, though her thoughts were more on the words of the book and not the words she was speaking. Gojo nodded in acknowledgement of the explanation and continued to toy with his eye covering.
“it’s a crescent moon currently, we should find them in the Everfree forest in 2 days.” Gojo announced.
“wait wait wait, how do we know they will even be there?!” rainbow was the first to question, Applejack nodded, wondering the same thing.
“Geto wouldn’t just take Nightmare Moons word on a deal with something so powerful. he would do an official pact like this.” He answered. the rest of the ponies hummed in agreement.
“so, what do we do until then?” spike asked.
“PARTY!!!” pinkie exclaimed, throwing confetti she got from who knows where into the air.
“something that’ll sharpen our skills!” Rainbow argued, and got nods of approval from Applejack and Gojo.
“i think we should relax a bit. we deserve it!” Twilight suggested. Rarity and Fluttershy nod in agreement with that.
“i have an awesome idea! an escape room!” Rainbow jumped up, flying in a loop as she spoke.
“its fun, good for sharpening our skills and like, 20% cooler than reading books all day.” she explained, doing her best to convince the group.
“ooh! ooh! that’s sounds like fun! i’m in!” Pinkie agreed.
twilight hummed in thought.
“it wouldn’t be a bad idea to improve our team-working skills..” she decided, looking around at the rest of the group. Applejack was also nodding in approval of the idea. Rarity and Fluttershy shared a look, and when Rarity nodded, so did Fluttershy. now, all six pairs of eyes (haha) were on gojo.
“an escape room, huh?” Gojo looked at his phone again, closing it when he sees all the missed calls. “i suppose i could find the time.”
and the ponies cheer, Rainbow of-course, the loudest.
Twilights horn glows a bright purple as she uses magic to take one of her many bookmarks to place in the book she had been reading from.
“alright everypony! we’ve got a plan!” she said as she closed the book and set it aside using her magic.
and with that, everyone started getting ready to leave.

Chapter Text

Gojo wiped away the purple blood of a cursed spirit off his shoulder.
“almost broke a sweat.” he said to himself, watching the curses body fade into nothing before going to readjust the white bandages to re-cover both of his eyes. he had moved it out of the way of his left eye so he could better fight the cursed spirit. before he could properly re-cover his left eye, he felt a sharp pain stabbing through his stomach.
he didn’t sense any cursed energy…
shock quickly worked to numb the pain and he looked down at the blood which was quickly escaping the wound. what was powerful enough to bypass his infinity? only one thing in his history as a jujutsu sorcerer had been strong enough to do that. could it be..?
“Hey there. have we met?” there’s the slightest hint of struggle in his voice.
“not yet! i’m twilight sparkle, the princess of friendship!” exclaimed a voice, before a shadowy figure emerged from the dark forest and into the light of the moon. it was… a pony?
5 others spread out from behind twilight sparkle, each a different colour.
“now this is way more interesting than that first grade…” Gojo inspected the 6 with his one eye.
“so, how did you stab through my infinity?” he asked.
“oh, that wasn’t us. it was the elements of harmony!”
“The elements of harmony… is that a cursed weapon of some sort?”
“The Elements of Harmony are six supernatural artifacts representing subjective aspects of harmony. They are six:” Twilight explained.
“Honesty!” Apple Jack began.
“Kindness..” Fluttershy followed.
Laughter!!” Pinkie exclaimed.
“Generosity.” Rarity bowed as she spoke.
“Loyalty!” Rainbow spun in the air.
“and magic!” Twilight concluded, the 6 looked at Gojo, who had a hand on his chin in thought.
“what do i have to do with the elements of harmony?”
“You are the wielder of the six eyes. they are connected to the elements of harmony.” twilight answered.
“connected?” Gojo continued to question, his expression more curious than mad or pained, surprisingly.
“Complex numbers are the numbers that are expressed in the form of a+ib where, a,b are real numbers and 'i' is an imaginary number called “iota”. The value of i = (√-1). For example, 2+3i is a complex number, where 2 is a real number (Re) and 3i is an imaginary number. when you apply this to the magic of friendship, Z=a+ib, where a,b ∈ R and i is an imaginary number, is used to denote a complex number. Z is the conjugate of Z in the complex number system. A complex number's conjugate is another complex number with the same real portion as the original and an imaginary part that has the same magnitude but a different sign. and when that meets cursed energy, x3+y3+z3=k, with k being all the numbers from one to 100, is a Diophantine equation that's sometimes known as "summing of three cubes." When there are two or more unknowns, as is the case here, only the integers are studied. to put it simply, the six eyes are connected to the elements of harmony, and when the elements of harmony are in grave danger which involves another curse user, you will be stabbed as a warning. since the elements of harmony are in danger from both a cursed user, (Geto), and a pony, (nightmare moon), our map has sent us to find you so we can join forces and protect the elements of harmony!” twilight explained quickly, while the rest of the ponies listened in confusion. pinkie pie, however, was nodding along. Gojo listened closely before Geto was mentioned.
“Geto? what does he have to do with this?” his eye narrowed as he spoke.
“oh, we suspect he took the elements of harmony.” Rainbow Dash answered, flying above the group of ponies.
Gojo couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought of his former best friend going out of his way to steal from colourful horses. the ponies look unimpressed with his unseriousness.
“what would he want with them?” he asked.
“well… they areeee just as overpowered as you are…” Rainbow rolls her eyes.
“something similar is strength to me?” Gojo asked thoughtfully, not looking for an answer. he knew what Geto would do with something of that power, and he couldn’t let that happen. even if it sounded crazy to work with a bunch of horses to do it. crazy was in the job description, after all.
“and what does the other pony want with the elements of harmony? to turn them into the elements of disharmony?” he joked, but it was met with silence.
until pinkie pie burst out laughing.
“oh, Gojo! that was a good one!” she giggled.
“not quite, sugar cube. Nightmare Moon wants to plunge equestria into an eternal darkness, and rule over the land.” Apple Jack explained, a solemn expression on her face.
“That’s right. and who knows what kind of deal she has with Geto.” Twilight added.
“so would you be a dear and help us find out?” Rarity asked, fluttering her long lashes.
Gojo looked at the time on his phone and shrugged, ignoring some of the missed calls.
“i have nothing better to be doing right now, so i can lend a helping hand. …or a helping *hoof*” he couldn’t help but add.
The ponies looked a little confused at first, but then broke out into “ooooh!”s of realisation. pinkie, however, had been laughing along with Gojos joke, until she realised the other ponies didn’t understand it, and acted accordingly.
“alright, you should be able to heal that wound with the reverse cursed technique, Gojo.” Twilight suggested. the rest of the ponies look at eachother in confusion as Gojo closes his eye, focusing his energy and eventually the wound begins to heal.
“awesome!” rainbow dash was the first to answer.
“my my..” Apple Jack said, shocked.
“fascinating!” Rarity spoke up too.
“um.. excuse me.. but how does that work?” Fluttershy asked, sounding amazed as well.
“oh! oh! cursed energy is negative energy, while it can enhance the body it can’t regenerate it! SO! you multiply that negative energy against itself to create positive energy! that’s the reverse cursed technique!” Pinkie answered before Gojo could open his mouth to speak.
“that’s right pinkie! and it’s easier said than done!” Twilight added.
Gojo looked amused by pinkies knowledge of the reverse cursed technique. a little surprised as well. it had taken him a long time to master. he finally re-covers his eye, making sure the bandages are sitting comfortably.
“that’s correct!” he confirms. “now to find Geto and Nightmare Moon…”
“YEEEEEHAW!” apple jack exclaimed in agreement.
