Chapter 1: forgotten but not on paper

Chapter Text

It had been a slow couple of months. The last dregs of winter were making way for spring. It was late March, almost April, and after April was May. Peter was dreading May. 31 days of her . He had gotten a low paying mechanic job not too long ago, which paid for his apartment. Now all his life was spider-man and the free hot dogs he gets sometimes and heading to work to pay for a place to sleep.

Being forgotten is hard.

Thankfully he still had his 2 best friends. No not Ned and MJ, although he wished he was talking about them. No, he was talking about his girls, Edith and Karen. Thankfully they still remembered him, and he still had papers, at least to the world he exists.

It was another day of the same, well maybe a little different as it was the end of the week, he got his paychecks at the end of the week. He went to work in the morning, 8am to 1pm, ran to the bank to cash the check. Then he went out as spider-man.

The nanites covering his body were now soaked with blood, getting stabbed was not fun. It was only 11 but he decided to head in early. Cant be seen as the friendly neighborhood spider-man caked in blood, letting it drip onto the streets and passerbyers.

He got home quickly, climbing into his window. Using a wet washcloth he wiped the blood off. Once it was clean Karen formed into the usual hearing aids he wore, they dampened the sound around him, so he heard at a usual volume. It was nice hearing the person talking to you without listening over their heartbeat. The thumping of someone's life is loud ok.

Don't think about hearing Tony and May’s hearts stopping.

Wrapping some gauze around the slight stab wound, he hoped taking a nice long nap would at least let it scab over. Thankfully he had the day off tomorrow. Without a TV he decided to put on Edith. She instantly started playing a Star Wars movie for him. He would be afraid to break his tech if Karen hadn’t expressed concern that he slept like the dead, not moving.

It was probably the spider.

The radioactive spider that bit him.

Which made him Spider-man.

And killed his loved ones.

Turning away from those thoughts! He paid more attention to his movie. He had fallen asleep somewhere between Luke finding out His father was Darth Vador and the end of the movie. Edith turning it off as his breathing evened out.

His breathing was not even.

Suddenly he was falling, his back hit something hard. The ground? Concrete? A table?

Groaning he sat up, pulling his glasses up to his head like women do with their sunglasses. His eyes were still blurry from sleep, his mind foggy. Taking its sweet time to catch up. There were a bunch of people around him, they seemed to be in various states of distress. Standing up and holding weapons, or hands ready to grab one.

At what seemed to be the head of the table, was the biggest set off of his senses since Osborn. His brain finally caught up.

Where is he???

One man, in a blue suit with a red cape, a red S on his chest came a little closer. His hands towards the ceiling in what was supposed to be a calming gesture. His heart thrummed in his ears, his senses screaming at him to move. Jumping up he latched onto the ceiling, scuttling into a corner, appeasing the spider in him for the moment.

“It appears we are not in the apartment, Peter” Karen spoke, deafening in the silence. It seemed to echo around the room of.. Actually he still didn't know who. He ignored Karen, opting to continue freaking out in his corner.

Chapter 2: space????

i have up to chapter 4, then i got stuck.... uhmmmm its coming soon guys i swear.

Chapter Text

Karen had allowed the volume up, letting his hearing go back to normal gradually. He heard the thrum of all the heartbeats in the room; They were strong. What worried him the most was that he couldn't hear anything else, just the people around him and a few lesser heartbeats that must be workers. Why did they have soundproofing?

Freaking out he ignored the people below him, and how high up he was.

“How did he jump so high? And how is he just sticking up there?” Flash asked, it was what they were all thinking.

“What was that woman's voice that came from him?” Batman asked, shuffling to the front closer to the boy next to Wonder Woman and Superman.

“That doesn't matter right now, that is a child. We should help him, he's clearly lost.” Wonder Woman spoke up next, the voice of reason to the rest. “Clark, could you fly me up to him so I can calm the child?” she asked, arms raised slightly for better grip.

Peter’s mind came back to the present when a woman came closer, being carried by the same man who tried to talk to him earlier. His senses seemed calm when faced with the woman, her heart beat seemed to ground him. She reminded him of May.

“Hello sweetie,” he flinched at the sudden loudness of a voice near him. He instinctively shrunk into the corner more. Lowering her voice, “I am sorry, my name is Princess Diana, you may call me Wonder Woman. Could you tell us how you got here?”

Princess? Peter unwound slightly, sticking out his hand to the woman who took it. He shook her hand lightly, “nice to meet you ma’am, I'm Peter.” she seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.

“Would you mind coming down?” she asked. Peter suddenly realized how ridiculous this was, her name was Wonder Woman, it doesn't take a genius to figure out they’re super heroes. As Peter crawled down the wall, the man, who was thankfully silent the whole time, lowered her to the ground.

Once he was a few feet from the floor he leapt down, landing silently. He took in the group of people surrounding him. They were all standing around him. He felt dumb that in his sleep meddled brain and adrenaline he was in a corner. Wringing his hands together he smiled sheepishly, “sorry,” he breathed out.

Wonder Woman came closer, holding some kind of golden rope. “Ok Peter, this is my golden lasso, it has the power to force someone to tell the truth. It was given to my people by the gods.” she spoke, holding it out, chuckling at his wide eyes and whispered cool. “May I tie it to your wrist and ask some questions?

Immediately he stuck out his wrist. The rope was slightly warm around his arm. Before they could ask something he quickly questioned, “what god is this from?” he bounced on the balls of his feet. Inspecting the rope.

“It was forged by Hephaestus, given to me by Ares.” she chuckled, ignoring the glare batman was giving her for telling the child information about herself. Peter looked away from her with wide eyes, “Greek gods exist? I thought it was just Norse!” Wonder Woman seemed puzzled by that response.

“And why is that young one?” she asked, subtly starting her interrogation. “Oh, Thor and Loki told me, said that the Greek just took their stories and made it weird.” He went back to looking at the lasso.

Diana looked around at the shocked faces of the people around her, who thankfully haven’t spoken up yet. The child was clearly traumatized by something and is only just trusting her.

Clearing her throat she asked another question. “Could you tell me where you're from, Peter?” He looked into her eyes, was she concerned?

“Queens, New York!” He answered happily. She smiled at him, it felt approving and nice. He smiled wider. “That's good, where's your family?”

His smile dropped. The room seemed to hold its breath. “Dead.” He answered, seemingly ignoring the people around him.

He listened to the comforting words Karen was speaking into his ears. It was good to have his friends with him, and that they work.

He was snapped back to reality by another question. “Can you tell me what happened honey?” Wonder woman asked, her voice smooth and soft, comforting like a mother.

Or like aunt May.

“Well my parents died when i was 4,” he heard a sharp intake of breath from a few people. “And then I lived with my aunt and uncle. My uncle was shot in a robbery when I was 14 and my aunt died a few months ago.” Tears pricked in his eyes for a moment.

“And how old are you?” Another question, but this one seemed more like a distraction. Her voice was choked as she asked. “18.” It was a short and sweet answer

“It will be ok Peter, you have me and Edith now. We will keep you safe. Allow these people to help, we’ve run tests on them. We are in a different universe, although these are the avengers of this world. The Justice league. I can't seem to connect to Stark industries, but I have connected to Wayne.”

Peter allowed the soft explanation of this world from Karen to distract him. It didn’t take too long before he opened his eyes again. The man with the S on his chest-Superman-was looking at him weird. Right has great hearing and can hear Karen.

“Uhm.. excuse me.” He spoke up, their attention was turned back to him. “I believe I know what's happening. I'm kinda from another universe?” His voice raised an octave looking at the shocked faces of the people around him.

“I messed with magic a few months ago, a wizard helping me out with something personal. And uh my universe must’ve decided to kick me out. I was just trying to go to bed and suddenly I'm falling on your table.” He rambled on a bit.

“Well this makes more sense now.” The man in all black who still set off his senses said. Turning around to sit at the table. The others seemed to follow his lead, sitting down in their own chairs. Wonder Woman took her lasso off his wrist and sat him down next to her.

“We’ll find some accommodation for you, most likely in Gotham because the government won't notice fake documents being added. I'll call Zatanna and have her see if she can send you back.” He spoke matter of factly, like it was a usual occurrence.

They ended their meeting quickly, Peter having a whispered conversation with Karen and Edith, having put his glasses back on. He stayed in his chair waiting to be told what to do as everyone seemed to chat with each other.

There was a man in black with a blue bird on his chest and a black domino mask, his short black hair looked soft. The main reason he was watching this man was he noticed he came up to Wonder Woman first, and the second was that he looks familiar.

Way too familiar.

Getting up he walked over to the man. He wasn’t much taller than Peter so he tapped him on the shoulder. It seems he startled the man because he yelped before turning around.

“Jeus how are you so quiet!? Especially in space! You should be really confused with your center of gravity.” The man's scared shouting and him hiding in the arms of Wonder Woman who he was still talking to pulled everyone’s attention.

Peter raised his eyebrows. “I'm in space again?” He asked, finally looking out the windows and seeing earth floating in the black expanse.

Huh

“Anyway, i wanted to ask you, what's your name?” That dragged anyone who wasn’t listening's attention. “You look oddly familiar. Like I've seen you in a picture.” Peter squinted, getting a better view as he looked at the man, grabbing his chin in thought. He seemed to sink more into Wonder Woman's grip.

“Stop looking at me like that!” The man cried, finally getting up. “You look like my brother before he tries to stab one of us.” That brought out a collective chuckle from the heroes. “Don’t talk about your brother like that.” It was Peter's turn to scream and jump into Wonder Woman's arms. She pulled him closer, in a weird hug.

It was Batman, he seemed to be… reprimanding the man?

THAT'S HIS DAD?

Peter got down, much to the much taller woman’s disappointment. Peter turned back to the black and blue man.

“Can you answer my question?” The man turned to him, humming.

“I'm nightwing,” he reached out a hand to shake but Peter ignored it. Listening to Karen's explanation.

“Nightwing, aka Richard “Dick” Grayson-Wayne. Father Batman, or Bruce “Brucie” Wayne. He has a 98% match with your biological father Richard Grayson-Parker.” Peter listened to the backgrounds of this man and his father, especially how similar they are.

Everyone seemed to be watching for what would happen next. The only one who seemed to know was Superman. Who was currently standing open mouthed as he watched and heard what was going on.

Peter turned to his favorite person Wonder Woman-who was also reminding him of Nat as well-ready to ask a question. He knew exactly what would happen. He loved this part, Karen and Edith had turned silent, also little drama loving queens.

“Ma’am,” he asked, “could I go with my father in this universe?” Pointing at nightwing.

All hell broke loose.

Chapter Text

People were talking over one another. Wonder Woman was laughing as Nightwing stood there with his mouth open. Superman who knew what was about to happen had his mouth quirked up, amusement sparkling in his eyes.

Batman seemed to glare-when wasn’t wasn’t-but softer? Nightwing seemed to regain himself first, somehow. Clearing his throat he squeaked, “what do you mean father?” he coughed a bit more, Batman patting his back like it would help.

Peter took out his “hearing aid” and the nanites formed into a little speaker.

“Go ahead and explain your scan Karen.” he spoke to the device. The indifferent voice of Karen talking to others floating into the room. She sounded almost bored, nothing like the sass she gave Peter.

“Richard Grayson-Wayne has a 98% match to Richard Grayson-Parker, Peter’s biological father in our universe.” she switched back into a hearing aid so Peter put it back in. Giggling at the immediate complaining she started up in his ear.

“Bruce, can I adopt your grandson?” Wonder Woman asked, earning a glare from Both Bruce and Dick.

Peter felt his senses warn him before he felt the strong arms of his father wrapping around him. “I know you aren’t technically my son, but you are my son.” He started leading him away towards a humming room. Bruce was following them.

“We’re gonna live at the manor and i'll introduce you to my siblings, your aunts and uncles, and depending on the time of day we can get you some clothes and things to decorate! And you can meet Alfred, he’s basically your great grandfather. Like Bruce is your grandfather! Oh my god we have so much bonding to do!” Peter's head was spinning as his dad talked the entire time, even in the weird tube thing they used to get to this “manor.”

Chapter Text

They arrived in some kind of cave. He could hear the fluttering and light screeching of bats was heard above, it echoed around the cave. Peter looked around, the dim lights brightening as he looked on. There was a waterfall that led to a pool at the bottom with various boats and jet skis.

Around them were cars of all kinds, all black. With multi-colored motorcycles in one area. A helipad was also in there, behind it sat a statue of a- DINOSAUR?????? Next to the statue was tubes with costumes and a computer next to them. No matter how bright the lights got, the ceiling was too far to be seen.

Standing around a computer was a gaggle of people, all talking over one another to a woman who seemed to be on call through it. They  all stopped at once, also creepily turning together. They looked like owls, blinking at them with wide eyes. At once they rushed at them, talking once again, pouncing over each other. It was very impressive considering some were brick walls and way too tall.

Dick stood in front of him, he gladly took the opportunity to make himself as small as possible, spider instincts and all that. Also the putrid hate he has for being the center of attention. It's been happening way too much today.

“Ahem.” that shut everyone up, even Peters spiralling thoughts. Wow that was weird. Everyone looked to Bruce, who was standing forgotten next to Dick.

His dad hehehehe.

He hasn't had one in a while and Tony died before they could define their relationship ok.

“You all already know everything, so please just introduce yourselves on the way to dinner.” he sighed, rubbing in between his eyes. You know what? Real; space is exhausting. Peter could use a meal and a good long nap.

Somehow they all fit into the elevator, with room to move around. And they were. Everyone was moving in front of him, trying to talk to him before getting pushed by another sibling. Only two didn't move to introduce themselves, resigning to where they are. One spoke calmly over the others while leaning against the elevator wall. Jason. While the other was a 10 year old kid who just scowled at him. It was creepy.

In the dining room-which was way too fancy-was also way too much food. Looking around, Steph and Duke were already piling their plates full. Cass didn't get as much, while Dick and Jason got none yet, opting to wait for the children. Peter was sat next to Dick and the tiny mean child, who’s still glaring at him. Bruce had his plate filled by an older man, who moved onto the child next. He seemed to only go for vegetarian dishes, there was no meat smell coming from his plate.

Still lost at what to do Peter just sat there still. His dad leaned over, still not having gotten his plate, Jason had loaded his plate after the older man finished.

“Feel free to grab whatever, and however much you need. You are enhanced if you need more you only just need to ask.” He smiled as Peter loaded his plate, finally consuming into his hunger. He hadn't eaten as well as he needed in a long time. Usually only Tony could afford to feed him like he needed.

……..

Oh look, food!

“Oh Lad,” Bruce suddenly said, looking at Peter, who was still stuffing his face. Taking a pause and swallowing his food he sent Bruce a look conveying he was listening. “This is Alfred, the one my son was telling you about.” he gestured to the older man standing off to the side. “The one sitting next to you is Damian.” he seemed to stop glaring at Peter instead scowling at Bruce.

“Now as you know, I'm Batman, a vigilante. And so is Dick, your father. But so is everyone else.” he pointed to everyone and said their secret identities. Peter nodded along, pretending like Karen didn't let him know the moment they laid eyes on him.

Edith and Karen were still complaining about everyone, this wasn't new though. They did this even around the avengers. At first it was just Karen then when Edith was added they were salty to each other. Now they were best friends, who also consequently made it very hard to not look crazy and laugh at some of the things they say.

“I'm a vigilante too, Spider-man, although I'm trying to retire.” Now that seemed to shock people. Jason stared wide eyed, staying quiet till this moment. He burst out laughing.

“Of course, even from another universe, everyone in our family fights crime at night.” he wheezed out between giggles, clutching his midsection. A few others laughed, finally understanding the laughter.

They had a quick dessert, then Alfred and Dick walked him to his new room. There was a bathroom connected, it was the same size as his room at the compound. Bed, desk, nothing unusual, it just wasn't decorated yet.

“We’ll go to the mall tomorrow, for now just get some shut eye.” closing the door Peter collapsed on the floor, then took a shower. He put on some of the clothes that were in the dresser, then plopped into bed, falling asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. For the first night in a long time he had no dreams or needed a movie, just the ever consistent complaining of his two girls.

Chapter 5: Tony?!?!

Summary:

Peter and tony?!

Like i said, finished it… enjoy!

Chapter Text

Peter slept in. Like a lot. It was well past 10 when he woke up. He hasn't slept like that unless he had a severe injury as Spider-man. Must've been the space travel. Getting hit in the face with a traumatic experience, and then just playing it off was exhausting.

Rubbing the sleep from his eyes he sat up, hearing aids and glasses falling off his face and into his lap. Karen and Edith must've gone to sleep to charge at some point.sighing he got up. Putting on more of the plain clothes that were in his drawers. He really needed a science pun shirt, or 10.

He didn't know what the weather was like but if the multi-colored painting of leaves outside his window was anything to go by, it was colder out. Slipping on a hoodie over the shirt he slipped his girls in till they woke up. He went to the bathroom to brush his hair and teeth, pausing to look at himself in the mirror.

His hair was longer, the curls more wavy from being weighed down and he had bags under his eyes. The clothes were soft and warm, but it was nothing compared to his MIT hoodie he stole from Tony. he never wore it to campus, only around the city or his apartment.

He shut the door to his room behind him, using his senses to guide him. The sound of voices crowing louder, along with their heart beats. No one was in the dining room so he followed them to the kitchen. They were all sat around a large island, bowls of cereal sitting in front of them. Alfed, Bruce, and Jason were nowhere to be seen.

Everyone looked up as he entered. Dick got up and guided him to a chair next to him, Peter looked at him oddly before sitting down and making a bowl of cereal.

That's how every Saturday morning was. It had been two months and Peter still hadn't been to the mall to decorate his room. He had some clothes delivered on amazon the first week. He couldn't go without his science puns.

Everyone, even Damian, had warmed up to him being there, he was just another member now, except instead of a sibling, he was their nephew. Which was thrown into his face a lot, especially by Damian. Who mostly just wanted to use him for art projects. Peter was happy to oblige, he needed some way to fill the time till school started up again. Which was in a week.

Hence why he was currently at the mall, a few posters in his arms, with bags and bags of clothes. He was starting at Gotham University, the top college in the area. And the east coast. He had long given up his dream of MIT. he did still buy a hoodie as soon as possible though, in the same red as Tony’s old one. It wasn't worse for wear and covered in oil stains but it would work.

His dad was walking with him, they talked about anything and laughed. It was just another day of hanging out. No one looked their way, the news of a new wayne died down in a week, it happened so often it was expected the older kids would do the same as their dad and adopt kids whenever.

They walked form the manor to the mall and were currently on the way back, everything stuffed into a backpack to lessen interest on muggers radar. They passed a few stores, looking into all the windows with curiosity till something caught his eye.

Peter grabbed his dads wrist and sent them down another street.

Walking a little further, ignoring the questions his dad was sending him, he stopped outside of the place.

Stark Repairs

It was an auto body shop, it had some tech inside but not much and wasn't very interesting to people passing by. But to Peter it was the most interesting store. Because there, in the flesh, alive, talking with a random customer, was Tony.

His father-figure mentor.

In the flesh.

He even still had his irregular heartbeat, arc reactor shining through his t-shirt.

He didn't notice he was crying till his dad was in front of him, he was trying to talk to him but Peter couldn't hear anything. Tears stained his cheeks as he side stepped his dad, he opened the door and walked in, he felt like a robot going through the motions.

Right foot

Left foot

Right foot

Left foot

Stop

And there, in front of him, just a countered width away, was Tony. he was staring wide eyed. He was less gray than when he last saw him, the same amount as when he was dusted.

He didn't know how long he stood there, he was clearly worrying his dad though, he was fluttering around him trying to get a reaction, a word, something. The tears still fell silently down his cheeks, they flowed from Tony’s too.

“T-the sign,” Tony rasped out, “switch it from open to closed, w-we’re closed.” The tears fell from him harder. Peter didn't feel like anything was real, like he wasn't real. Dick did as Tony asked, still heavily confused.

“M-mr. stark?” Peter asked, his voice quiet, hopeful. That seemed to break the dam as he rushed around the counter and held Peter close. Peter clutched back, tighter than he meant to probably leave a bruise, but it was ok. Because Tony was ok.

After a while and they had calmed down Dick got to ask his questions.

“Wait, who are you? How do you know my son? Why does my son know you? Are you from the same universe? What's going on!?” he frantically asked, taking a step closer to Tony as he asked a question, finishing only when he was inches from Tony's face, breath heavy.

“I am Tony Stark, your son was my mentee, I was a billionaire in our universe but something happened and I died.” That seemed to calm Dick down who nodded, understanding their reactions now. Turning his attention to Peter, Tony started to explain. “It was after I snapped, the stones decided I had a good heart and to save me, they sent me here. I had nothing so I made some papers, and have started building my company up again. I wasn't expecting to see you here, or to see you again. I invented time travel for you yet never got to spend time with my kid.” he smiled and ruffled Peter's hair, ignoring the bewildered look Dick sent him.

“Hey wait, that's my kid.” he spoke up from next to Peter, a protective arm snaking around his shoulders. “Yeah well, he was my kid first.” Tony shot back. It delved quickly into an argument. Peter squirmed away and put on the glasses and hearing aids. Karen and Edith comforting him as he relays what happened to them quietly.

“Peter, which of us is your dad?” Dick suddenly asked, jolting Peter from his conversation with his girls. “Awwww, look he looks just like me with my glasses on!” Tony said, cooing over him. Peter looked between the two with bewilderment.

“Both.” he said evenly, they gaped at him.

“Hey dad,” he said looking to Dick. “Can dad move in with us?” he asked, pointing to Tony. they both sighed and chuckled, arms snaking around his shoulders.

“Sure buddy.” Dick replied evenly, leading them to Alfreds car; he had called him while they were hugging.

Chapter 6: Stark vs wayne

Notes:

Ok boom thats it, please let me know what chu think

Chapter Text

It had been about 3 weeks since Tony moved into the manor. The three having a wing of the manor to themselves. But throughout the whole wing, his dads took the rooms right next to him, claiming to want to be close in case something happens. Like another alien invasion, or a house fire, or a rogue breaks in.

They were very thorough with their reasonings. The problem though, has been his papa (tony) and his grandpa. They were constantly fighting about whose tech was better. It was obvious it was Tony to the entire house, Bruce just refused to admit it. Which caused some tension at the dinner table.

He wouldn't have it any other way though. Tony and Dick always sitting near him, on the couches during movie night, allowing him to lean into them, head resting on their chest.

Another new thing was they stopped bickering over him, they must've created some kind of agreement or chart who gets him when? That theory was quickly thrown out the window when they started arguing over who got to be on his left vs right one day at dinner. Apparently he favored leaning to the right.

Yeah he wouldn't change a thing.

Tony never took his glasses back, complaining that Karen and Edith were practically dating now and he couldn't take them from each other. Peter noticed how when Peter wore the glasses his smile softened.

And that's how life was, chaotic with his big family, but happy. He went out as spider-man every now and then, but he did truly want to retire, besides. Ironman just made an appearance in Gotham, and in the JL, his favorite member was still Wonder Woman.
