Chapter Text

In a unicorn's journey through Hoenn Eri has defeated Team Magma and Aqua, defeated Overhaul, and Stopped a meteor from crashing into the my Hero world before Rayquaza Groudon and Kyorgre defeated all for one 

But the HPSC has taken interest in the Pokemon and I'm doubtful the heroes in the raid will take Eri leaving sitting down 

Now we pick up where we left off

Eri returned to littleroot town with the professor, may and Koko

Awaiting for them was a massive feast

Eri had never seen that much food before!!!

"Sister! It's time to feast!" Koko said

(KOKO - pokemon Trainer extraordinaire, biggest lisia fan, (Self-dubbed) big brother to Eri

physical description: He has dark green hair think grass green and is long but he likes to keep it tied up in a ponytail

He is very tall 6,5 to 6,7 and has good muscle

His eyes are brown

He wears a black jacket with a green shirt with a necklace barely visible around his neck

He wears long pants and boots

He has tan skin and no scars

Both of them dived into the food as did their Pokémon

"Wow, those two have an appetite." May said

"And their Pokémon too!" Professor Birch said

after a while once the feast was done Professor Birch approached Eri

"Eri come to my lab." Professor Birch said, "I need to talk to you about something."

Eri entered the lab

She had good and bad memories of this place

Her first normal experience with bandage changing getting her ID accidentally stealing dexter, her Pokedex

And discovering her quirk didn't work on Pokemon

(that last one was her favourite.)

"As you know I promised you a reward for the data on the legendary Pokemon you caught." Professor Birch said, "And I believe I found just the reward."

He pulled out a plane ticket and a small box

"This is a ticket to the Unova region." Professor Birch said "And this is a xtransceiver. Think of it as Unova's version of the pokenav."

Eri opened the box and put it on

"Now then my colleague, Professor Juniper will give you a Pokemon once you arrive." Professor Birch said, "There's also a gum challenge there so if you want to be the champion of two regions you can."

"Has there ever been one?" Eri asked

"Technically... the champion of Kanto and Johto is Lance but that's only due to their close proximity." Professor Birch explained "Moving on, the plane leaves tomorrow afternoon so be ready."

Eri nodded

The next day

Eri was waiting at the airport

She had already said goodbye to Koko and may

"We'll see each other soon sister! I promise!" 

So she was going somewhere new

Before (With overhaul) she was scared going to somewhere new Either she would get torn apart there or get taken back

But here? in this new world? She could truly be free and live the life she wants to live

And She's excited for it.

Soon her plane had arrived

The professor explained to her how planes worked and while she was nervous she was ready for her journey in Unova

Her entire team and every Pokemon she caught in Hoenn was in her box since she wanted to follow Her big brother's advice to start anew in a new region

Once she got on the plane she sat in her seat

She was seated next to a woman with blonde hair

(For some reason she swore she could hear piano.)

"Have I seen you before?" She asked, "Oh wait you're the new Hoenn champion!"

Eri was shocked she knew that

"I'm good friends with Wallace and he told me." She said, "My name's Cynthia by the way."

"Why are you going to Unova?" Eri asked

"I'm studying some ancient ruins." Cynthia said "And I'm going to have a vacation there. Maybe if I'm still there when you reach undella town you can pay me a visit. After all a friend of Wallace and Steven is a friend of mine."

"Thanks." Eri said

"What brings you to Unova anyway?" Cynthia asked

"Professor gave me a ticket." Eri said, "And I'm going on a journey."

"I'm surprised you don't have your team." Cynthia said

"My big bro Koko told me a reset of team was good for experience." Eri said

"Would this "Koko" happen to have an infernape?" Cynthia asked

"Yeah, how did you know?" Eri asked

"I met him during his gym run, gave him a togepi egg." Cynthia said, "He helped take on Team Galactic."

Eri was shocked

Her big brother took on an evil team on his own?

"He made it past the elite four and everything but lost to the champion." Cynthia said

(Side note Cynthia is still champion but she's keeping things vague in order to not draw attention to herself)

"Wow!" Eri said

After a couple of hours, the plane landed and Eri and Cynthia parted ways

Now Eri was headed to Aspertia city

Then her xtransceiver began to Ring

She picked it up and was met with a brown-haired woman on the screen

"Greetings Eri! I'm Professor Juniper." Professor Juniper said, "Me and the professors of other regions heard a lot about you from Professor Birch."

Wow was she really that noteworthy?

"A little girl from another world who not only defeated an evil team, captured multiple legendary Pokémon but also became champion? I mean the notes you're pokedex got about ghost types changed the field!"

"They did?" Eri asked

"Up until now we never seen ghost types gather to one person like that even ghost type specialists can't get that much attention from ghosts!" Professor Juniper said, "That only is a breakthrough in ghost-type behaviour!"

"Oh..Thanks." Eri said

"My assistant will give you a new starter Pokemon!" Professor Juniper said, "Look for a woman with a green hat and blonde hair."

Eri nodded before hanging up

She soon arrived in Aspertia City and began to look around for Professor Juniper's assistant

Soon she found a black haired boy and presumably his little sister

"Oh, you're new around here." He said, "What's your name?"

"My name is Eri." Eri said

"I'm Hugh." Hugh said, "What brings you here?"

"I'm here to get a Pokémon." Eri said, "I'm looking for a woman with a green hat and blonde hair."

Hugh went silent

"Take good care of your Pokemon." His little sister said sounding a bit sad

"I will." Eri said

"Go home sis. I'm going to help her find the person she's looking for." Hugh said

"Bye-bye." Hugh's little sister said before leaving

"Alright let's find the person you're looking for!" Hugh said

They began to look around for her

Soon Eri found her near a pair of binoculars

"It's sooo pretty! Hey there! Don't you agree?" She said before looking at Eri "Oh! My name is Bianca! I'm the assistant of the Pokémon Professor--Professor Juniper. By the way, I'm looking for someone. Do you know a person named Eri?"

"That's me." Eri said

"Oh, wait! You're Eri! Wooow! You're ex-act-ly like what I heard! Even down to the horn! Nice to meet you! I have a really important request to ask you! Will you help us learn even more about Pokemon?" Bianca asked

Eri nodded

"Oh, wow, thanks! Your support will help Professor Juniper's research move forward!" Bianca said, "Now then it's time to pick your Pokemon!"

She pulled out a container With 3 Pokeballs in it

"First up is snivy a grass type, then Tepig a fire type and the Oshawott a water type!" Bianca said

Eri looked at the 3 Pokeballs

She picked mudkip (Well technically Skippy was the only one left but still) last time so she decided to pick a non-water type

She eventually settled on Snivy

She picked Snivy's Pokeball

"Good choice." Bianca said, "Now here's your unovan pokedex it doesn't have an AI like your last one did but it's just as efficient."

She handed Eri the Pokedex

Eri sent out Snivy

Its body was similar to that of a snake but with arms and legs

Its tail looked like a leaf and it gave off a feeling of attitude

Eri then scanned Snivy with the Pokedex

"Snivy the grass snake pokemon A grass type Being exposed to sunlight makes its movements swifter. It uses vines more adeptly than its hands. This snivy is male."

"Sniv!" Snivy said with a bit of attitude

Yup Eri was right on the money with that

"Aww don't worry snivy I'm sure you'll get along just fine!" Bianca said

Then Hugh showed up

"Uh, what's that?" He asked pointing at the Pokedex

"It's a pokedex?" Binaca said confused "Who are you?"

"I'm Hugh." Hugh said "Can I have one? If I can get stronger by filling out the Pokedex then I have to!"

"Oh okay!" Bianca said handing him a spare

"Alright, Eri. Let's battle! I'll beat you with a Pokemon I raised from an egg!" Hugh said

Eri was glad she kept her mega tiara in her bag because if she didn't Hugh would not be as confident as he is now

"Go tepig!" Hugh said sending out a tepig

"Tepig the fire pig Pokemon a fire type. It loves to eat roasted berries, but sometimes it gets too excited and burns them to a crisp."

"Use tackle!" Eri said

Snivy (Begrudgingly) slammed into Tepig

"Use tail whip!" Hugh said

Tepig shook its tail causing snivy to drop his guard

"Use tackle!" Hugh said

"Dodge!" Eri said

Tepig tried to tackle Snivy but snivy dodged

"Tackle!" Eri said

Snivy slammed into Tepig one more time ending the battle

"Aw, man." Hugh said

Eri looked at snivy

"I'm gonna call you green." Eri said

"Woah that was an amazing battle you two!" Bianca said "Bravo!"

"Thank you!" Eri said

"Now then. Let me show you where to go." Bianca said

"Nah I'm going up ahead!" Hugh said before leaving

They walked around town with Bianca explaining things Eri already knew besides from pokemarts being in centres now

then Hugh's sister showed up

"Can you give this to my big brother?" She asked handing her two town maps "There's one for you too!"

Eri nodded and put it in her bag

And after that Eri was on Her way

She saw a bunch of new Pokémon she had never seen before

She wondered how many were Pokemon in this world

"You there, Trainer!" A voice said from above

She looked up and saw a red-haired man with an odd outfit

He jumped down from the cliff face

"My name is Alder! I'm a Trainer with a keen interest in the world. One of my goals is to tell people about how wonderful it is to walk toward the future together with Pokémon." Alder said "And you are?"

"Eri... I just came from Aspertia City." Eri said

"... ... Hmph! So you're Eri from Aspertia City!" Alder said "Your Snivy is a fine-looking Pokémon! But, you're not exactly a seasoned Trainer yet... Indeed! I'll train you a little! Follow me!"

He went off ahead

Eri internally laughed a little

(Oh he has no idea.) eri thought to herself as she moved ahead

Soon she was at the next town

"Oh, that's right! Eri, are your Pokémon well? Your Pokémon are always doing their best for you, the Trainer, so you must always be kind to them! My house is just a little farther! Stop by the Pokémon Center first if you'd like!" Alder said

Eri hadn't battled anyone so she kept going

Soon she was outside Alder's house

"Hey, this way! Shall we start training?" Alder asked

"By the way...why are you holding two Town Maps?"

"Ones for a friend." Eri said

"... Oh ho! It's your friend's Town Map, is it? Your friend is the one with the Tepig, isn't he? It just so happens, he was training his Pokémon on Route 20... Well, if that's the case, you should go give him the Town Map first! Just follow this road. It goes to Route 20!" Alder said

Eri nodded before continuing

She continued to walk noticing a hiker blocking a path on the way

Soon she ended up at a farm

"What a nice place." Eri said

Suddenly a Pokemon jumped out of the bushes

"Riolu!" The Pokemon said

"You want to battle?" Eri asked

Riolu nodded

"Alright go green!" Eri said, sending out green

"Snivy!" Green said

"Use tackle!" Eri said

Green moved around and hit Riolu with a tackle

Riolu moved like a boxer and hit green with a feint

"Tackle!" Eri said

Instead of using tackle Green sent out vines which hit Riolu

"Pokeball go!" Eri said throwing the Pokeball

After 3 shakes riolu was caught

"Alright!" Eri said, "I caught a riolu!"

She sent out riolu

Eri then pulled out two berries from her bag

"You two eat up." Eri said giving them their berries

Riolu quickly scarfed down the berry while Green was reluctant but ate it

"There we go!" Eri said, "Let's keep looking around for Hugh."

Eri continued to look around

and then Hugh came to her

"hey, Eri! Have you gotten stronger? Let's battle!" Hugh said as he sent out tepig

Eri sent out riolu

"Use feint!" Eri said

Riolu moved around to keep Tepig guessing before landing a punch

"Use ember!" Hugh said

Tepig shot out some fire which landed

"Now use tackle!" Hugh said

"Use feint again!" Eri said

Riolu moved under the tackle before landing a gut punch

"Tackle one more time!" Hugh said

Tepig ran forward and hit the attack

Only for Riolu to grab him and slam him into the ground

"Counter a move that functions as a counterattack it doubles the damage dealt and sends it back"

"Well, it seems I have to get stronger." Hugh said "Not bad... You're thinking about how to bring out your Pokémon's strength. I should be able to count on you for backup! What are you doing here anyway?"

Eri handed him the town map

"Huh? A Town Map?" Hugh asked

"Your sister gave it to me." Eri said, "To give it to you."

"Tch... She didn't have to do that... Thanks to you, too. We just left, and you've already helped me out." Hugh said

Then two farmers showed up

"I thought I heard something it was just the sounds of a good old-fashioned Pokemon battle." The male farmer said

"Who are you?" Hugh asked

"Why I'm the owner of this farm!" The farmer said

He looked around

"Say have you two seen a herdier around here?" The farmer said "They went out a while ago but they haven't come back yet. I'm starting to get a little worried."

"You're a little worried? Are you KIDDING me?! Your Pokémon might be lost forever! Whatever! I'll look! Eri! Help out!" Hugh said before he started looking around

Eri wondered why he got so upset

She then started to look around for herdier

After wandering about she soon found herdier with a weird man

"Hey back off!" The man said

"Who are you?" Eri asked

"Who am I?! Don't you recognize a member of Team Plasma?!" The grunt asked

Eri shook her head

"From two years ago!? Our goal was to liberate Pokemon!" The grunt asked

Eri shook her head

"Well then take this!" The grunt said before throwing a TM at her

It was labelled frustration

"I'm off!" The grunt said before fleeing

"What does frustration do?" Eri asked her Pokedex

"Frustration is a move that increases in power the more the Pokemon dislikes its trainer." Her Pokedex said

"That's horrible!" Eri said

At least Herdier was okay

Chapter Text

Soon after the team plasma Grunt fled hugh and the farmers showed up

"Oh good you found him." Hugh said before turning to the farmers "Be more careful! You could have lost him forever!"

Hugh then left

"I wonder what's up with that boy." The farmer said "Thanks for the help."

Eri nodded before heading back to Alder's house

"Oh! It looks like you've delivered the Town Map to your friend! Hrm... You were only gone a moment, but you and your Pokémon have grown." Alder said "Why, I could almost mistake you for someone else! Well then. Instead of training you, I would like you and your Pokémon to give me a hand!"

Eri nodded before she and Alder entered the house

Inside there were two trainers

"Mr. Alder are you to train us?" One of the trainers asked

"Yes! This trainer will assist you in your training." Alder said, "Have a battle with her."

"Okay!" The boy said before sending out a blue monkey while Eri sent out green

"Panpour the spray pokemon, a water type. The water stored inside the tuft on its head is full of nutrients. It waters plants with it using its tail."

"Use scratch!" The boy said

Panpour scratched at snivy

"Use vine whip!" Eri said

Green picked up panpour with its vines before slamming it into the ground with incredible force

"Scratch again!" The boy said

Panpour tried to scratch snivy but it missed

"Vine whip one more time!" Eri said

The vine whip connected and knocked out Panpour

"Aw, man I lost." The boy said

"That was a fine battle, both of you. Well, next we have..." Alder said

"I'm up!" The other trainer who was female said "There's no way I can lose!"

"First we have to heal your Pokémon, Eri." Alder said before healing green

The girl sent out a red monkey

"Pansear the high temp Pokemon a fire type. When it is angered, the temperature of its head tuft reaches 600 F. It uses its tuft to roast berries."

"All right pansear use ember!" The girl said

Pansear fired the ember but it missed

"Use tackle!" Eri said

Green slammed into Pansear knocking it back

"Scratch!" The girl said

Pansear tried to scratch Green but was met with a vine whip to the face

"Now tackle one more time!" Eri said

Green slammed into Pansear and it was knocked out

"Aw, man I thought with type advantage I would win." The girl said

"That was truly a rousing battle! I could tell that all of the Pokémon were enjoying themselves as well! How about it, Eri? Pokémon types are very important in battle, aren't they? Water is strong against Fire... Fire is strong against Grass... Grass is strong against Water... Type matchups don't decide everything, though!" Alder said "Let's heal those hard-working Pokémon!

Soon all of the Pokemon that battled were healed

"Snivy You did a great job for Eri! Meeting Pokémon and people you never would have met otherwise is truly one of the great things about travelling!" Alder said patting Green's head

"Snivy." Green said

"Thanks!" Eri said before leaving

When she got outside someone was waiting outside

"Greetings!" The man said "You seem like an inspiring young trainer! So take this!"

He handed her a box

"This is a Medal box! As you do things on your journey you get medals!" The medal guy said, "Here I'll give you one to start out!"

He handed her a medal

"There! Happy hunting!" The medal guy said before leaving

Then Alder walked outside

"Eri! As for the newly opened Pokémon Gym in Aspertia City, I heard a new Gym Leader has arrived there. You should go and test how strong you've become!" Alder said

"Alright!" Eri said before leaving

She soon began to walk back to Aspertia city

In an another universe in a secret lab

"How go the attempts to reach the place of those creatures?" The HPSC President asked

"We have made tremendous progress ma'am! We found it and are beginning to test travel." A worker said

"And how is that going?" The president asked

"HELP!!!!" Someone yelled as they got dragged into the portal by black tentacles

"There's another realm in between it and ours and a creature preventing our entry." The worker said

"Find a way around it the sooner we get there the better." The president said, "We have to get to the girl."

"The girl? Why the girl?" The worker asked

"That girl gained a new quirk that had nothing to do with her previous quirk or any of her family. I want to find out why." The president said, "Plus we can't just kidnap some random person if we want these creatures diplomatically we have to make peace."

"Should we be worried about the creatures?" The worker asked

"Why should we care? They're mindless beasts." The president said

Back with Eri

Eri had made it to route 19 when...

"Eri!" Alder said from above

He jumped down

"Excuse me! I forgot to tell you something important! First, take these!" Alder said

He handed her berries

"Those are Oran Berries! If you give one to your Pokémon, its HP will be restored." Alder said "What's more! You can give your Pokémon a Berry to hold! Like this Oran Berry, for instance. When a Pokémon holds this Berry, it can eat the Berry if it gets hurt in the heat of battle and regain some of its lost HP!"

Eri nodded in understanding

"Well... I just told you to challenge the Gym Leader. Aspertia's Gym Leader is a very strong Pokémon Trainer! But you have nothing to worry about! If you think hard about what the Pokémon at your side can do, and what you should do as a Trainer, victory will be yours!" Alder said "And then you should take on stronger and stronger Trainers... Actually, take on the Gym Leaders of each city! Working together with your Pokémon is what makes you grow as a Trainer. As you and your Pokémon grow stronger, your world will get broader!"

Eri nodded before continuing on

Soon she arrived back at Aspertia city

She was going to face the gym

Chapter Text

Eri looked at the gym

She entered

It looked like a classroom

they she exited the back and found the actual gym

huh nice place...

she went around back and was met with the gym leader, two trainers and a huge field

"You must be a challenger! Welcome to Aspertia City's Pokémon Gym. I'm Cheren, the Gym Leader! Hm? Well, maybe I'd better say that I just became the Gym Leader! More importantly, we need to prepare before welcoming you to the Gym."

He turned around to the two trainers

"We have a challenger! You two, take your places!" Cheren said

the two trainers nodded before getting into position

"If you can defeat these two, then I'll be your opponent!" Cheren said before walking off

Eri nodded and began

"I'm number one! Let's go!" The first trainer said

he sent out a patrat

"go riolu!" Eri said "I'm gonna call you emna."

emna nodded

"use feint!" Eri said

emna moved like a boxer And hit patrat with a punch

"use tackle!" The first trainer said

patrat slammed into emna

"use feint again!" Eri said

emna landed a punch and knocked out patrat

"aw man." The first trainer said

Eri moved on to the second trainer

"You will never beat me!" The second trainer said before sending out a pidove

eri sent out emna

"Use peck!" The second trainer said

"dodge and use feint!" Eri said

emna moved out of the way and landed a devestating punch

pidove recovered quickly

"use wing attack!" The second trainer said

"dodge!" Eri said "and use quick attack!"

Emna hit a devastating knee to the gut sending pidove back flying into the wall making it unable to battle

"well I guess you are going to the gym leader." The second trainer said

eri then moved on to cheren

Cheren stepped forward. “Impressive. You’ve got good instincts. But I won’t hold back.”

Eri held up her second Poké Ball. “Okay.”

“Then let’s begin!” Cheren said

Cheren tossed out his first Poké Ball, releasing a determined-looking Lillipup. The tiny Pokémon barked fiercely, eyes trained on Eri.

“Green, you’re up!” she called.

In a swirl of red light, her Snivy landed with a graceful spin. Green gave a little huff and flicked his tail, sizing up the Lillipup.

“Work Up!” Cheren commanded.

Lillipup closed its eyes and growled, its body glowing briefly as its attack and special attack increased.

“Leaf Tornado!”

Green spun, whipping his tail in a sharp arc. A funnel of spinning leaves surged forward and slammed into Lillipup, making it yelp and stumble back.

“Lillipup, use Bite!”

The small canine dashed forward, teeth glowing dark. It sank its fangs into Green’s tail.

“Use Vine Whip!” Eri said

Green winced but obeyed, sending two vines lashing from her back. He struck Lillipup across the face and flung it away.

“Quick! Tackle!”

Lillipup hit the ground and sprang back almost immediately, charging Green again.

“Dodge and Leaf Tornado!”

Green spun gracefully, leaping to the side and sending another swirling cyclone of leaves at the oncoming Lillipup. This time, it connected squarely in the face.

Lillipup collapsed.

Cheren calmly returned it to its Poké Ball. “Well done. But let’s see how you handle this. Go, Patrat!”

The familiar rodent emerged again, eyes glowing.

"use tackle!" Cheren said

tackle slammed into green sending him backward

"vine whip!" Eri said

green lashed out his vines and hit patrat

"use bite!" Cheren said

patrat bit down on green

"now use tackle!" Cheren said

tackle hit and Green was knocked out

“Green, return. Emna go!" Eri said

Emna returned to the field, rolling her shoulders.

“Work Up!” Cheren ordered.

Patrat growled, its strength increasing from the move

“Feint!” Eri said

Emna sprinted forward, fists glinting.

“Use Bite!” Cheren said

Patrat met her mid-run, its fangs sinking into Emna’s arm. But the Riolu didn’t stop—she punched through the pain, slamming a fist into Patrat’s side.

Patrat staggered.

“Quick Attack!” Eri said

With a flash of silver light, Emna vanished and reappeared behind Patrat, delivering a solid strike to its back.

Patrat collapsed, groaning, and didn’t get up.

Cheren stared for a moment, then gave a slow smile. “That was a clean victory.”

Eri smiled and returned Emna to her ball.

Cheren approached and handed her a small, rectangular badge. “You’ve earned the Basic Badge. And here—take this too.”

He handed her a tm.

“TM28. It contains Work Up. A great way to boost a Pokémon’s strength in battle. You’ve got a lot of potential. You read your opponents well and your Pokémon trust you.” Cheren said

“…Thanks,” she said quietly.

Cheren nodded. “I look forward to seeing how far you go. If you were my student, I’d tell you—you’ve already passed.”

Eri put the badge into her badge case (which koko had given her before she left)

She stepped away from the battlefield, into the sunlight.

Stepping out of the building she was greeted by Bianca

"Heeey! How was it? How did your Pokémon battle with the Gym Leader go?"

"it went good." Eri said showing off the badge

Oh! If it isn't the Basic Badge! Wow! Amazing! And you just set off on your journey with your Pokémon! You definitely have potential as a Trainer! I'm sure of it! This is from me! It's the TM for the move Return." Bianca said

"thanks!" Eri said taking the tm

"When a Pokémon knows Return, the more it gets along with the Trainer, the more powerful the move is!" Bianca said

"wow!" Eri said

"here I'll give you my number! If you ever need me to tell you how Pokemon evolve or how much they like you let me know!" Bianca said

"thank you!" Eri said

"hey Eri if you don't mind me asking is that horn real?" Bianca asked

"yeah it's real." Eri said "it helps me rewind things."

"IT WHAT-"

Meanwhile 

toga...wasn't doing so hot in terms of care

after all for one "tasted the rainbow" (aka got obliterated) the league disbanded because that blast also erased his quirk (which had apparently been copied and separated (don't ask her how that works) and mow she's on the run trying to get blood

and then she tripped and fell into a wormhole...Great

now, she's walking around a forest completely lost with no clue if she's even still in japan

also all these weird creatures keep staring at her

huh...they kinda reminded her of what she saw during the raid

well at least she's not in another world right?

Right?
