PROLOGUE: MISSION ISSUES
*****
An hour ago, a plan was set in motion to have Joey, Dawn, Nikita, Matt, Jack, Jael, and Ryu to travel to Purgatory on a rescue mission to rescue the fallen YouTubers from the clutches of The Collector, who’d placed them in her Museum of the Dead.
In order to make the trip, the Life Crystal, the Crown of Oblivion, and one of the artifacts from the 1920s house was needed. Because of this, Joey and Dawn returned to the 1920s house with Jack, unaware that a former blogger named Jermaine Whitehouse had stole away in the back of the jeep.
The box containing the artifacts was retrieved from the estate, and the team meet up at a location used by the Society Against Evil for teleporting to other realms. Joey and Dawn were surprised when Bretman Rock showed up, having been invited by Nikita, even though they hadn’t wanted to take anyone who hadn’t been involved with them on the mission.
Following Jael’s instructions, Dawn infused Bretman with some of the Light for additional protection since there wasn’t time to tell him the full story, and she was given a crystal pendant to wear to ensure that The Collector wouldn’t be able to sense her presence while at the museum as long as she avoided using the Light.
Using the Life Crystal, the Crown of Oblivion, and one of the artifacts, along with Jael and Ryu’s Life Magic, a portal to Purgatory was opened. Joey, Dawn, Bretman, and Jack managed to make it through before everything went wrong when Jermaine also jumped through the portal, leading to the destruction of the Crown.
This resulted in the portal closing, making it impossible for Matt, Nikita, Jael, and Ryu to follow the others into Purgatory.
Trapped, those who made it through now had no choice but to travel to the museum, find their fallen friends, and hoped that a means to escape would be found either in the museum itself or on the other side.
*****
Matt and Nikita were still trying to make sense of what just happened while Jael and Ryu gathered up the remains of the Crown of Oblivion, having managed to find all of the gems intact, and they all turned when a black SUV with the SAE symbol pulled up next to the jeep.
The doors opened and James McCoy got out, along with Jonas and two agents, and they walked into the meeting area.
“What happened?” James asked, looking between the quartet. “There was a magical surge that was felt by even the Council of Elders. Where are Joey, Dawn, and Jack?”
“There was an incident, sir,” said Jael, and she explained to the Society leader of what happened. “…and as far as we know, they made it, along with whoever went through the portal and caused the crown to explode.”
James was looking grim since this wasn’t suppose to happen, and he turned slightly to one of the agents. “Retrieve the data crystal to determine what happened,” he ordered.
The agent nodded and went to one of the stones, tapping the side so that a small section glowed and slid open to reveal a slightly glowing blue crystal, and he extracted it. He gave it to his partner, who inserted the crystal into a device, which buzzed and clicked a few times before a blue beam of light shot out, transforming into a scene that began playing out what occurred an hour ago.
James watched silently as the scene played out, noting the arrival of Bretman, him being imbued with the Light, the opening of the portal, and seeing Joey, Dawn, Bretman, and Jack run through the portal. Seconds later, another figure ran toward the portal-
“Freeze,” the Society leader ordered and the scene stopped on the figure. “Isolate and enhance.”
The agent worked the device, making the changes, and the figure was pulled from the scene into a full 4-D image. “I got it isolated and I’ll clean it up so I can get an ID match.”
James nodded, watching as the agent worked on the image, removing most of the shadowing and lighting up parts until the figure became clearer, and he scowled when he realized that the figure was Jermaine Whitehouse. “Dammit.”
“How – how did Jermaine get here?” Matt asked, confused. “And why did him going through the portal make everything go wrong?”
Nikita agreed with Matt’s questions. “What the hell? How did he ruin everything?” she demanded.
James sighed and explained the best that he could while picking up one of the golden shards that had once been part of the Crown of Oblivion. “The portals work best when only those authorized go through them, and since Whitehouse wasn’t authorized, the portal ended up collapsing and making the mission harder then it was suppose to be.”
“So, this has nothing to do with me inviting Bretman?” the Troublemaker questioned. “Because, he didn’t exactly have authorization from anyone to come here.”
“Nikita, when I asked Dawn to imbue Bretman with the Light,” Jael explained, “that made it possible for him to enter the portal without causing any issues. Whitehouse wasn’t imbued with the Light, and so when he went through the portal…”
Matt groaned. “…it caused the portal collapsing and the crown being destroyed,” he realized. “Is – is there anyway to repair the crown so that we can get to Purgatory in order to help our friends?”
“Unfortunately repairing the crown won’tbe easy,” James explained. “This was created by the Cursed God, and with dark magic originally. After Tyler used it to break the Sorceress’ spell, that magic was cleansed, and that was one of the reasons why it could bring Joey back to life.” He pondered the remains and then looked back at Matt and Nikita. “However, there might be those within the Society who may be able to restore the crown. I’ll get in contact with the Council of Elders to update them on the situation and see if I can get permission from them to find someone to get here as soon as possible.”
“And what do we do until then?” Nikita questioned. “Just sit here and wait?”
“For now, yes.”
Nikita wasn’t keen on waiting, but she wasn’t about to argue, as much as she wanted to, and just watched as the Society leader left with the agents. “Great, just frickin’ great.”
Matt knew how his friend was feeling, he didn’t want to wait, but that was what they were going to have to do…for now.

CHAPTER ONE: THE MUMMY LIVES!
*****
An hour ago, a mission to the Museum of the Dead in Purgatory was set into motion with the opening of a portal that Joey Graceffa, Dawn Hatcher, Bretman Rock, and Jack Harkness ran through, but before Matthew “MatPat” Patrick, Nikita Dragun, Jael, and Ryu could follow them, someone else ran through the portal, causing it to collapse and the Crown of Oblivion to explode.
The person that ran through the portal turned out to be Jermaine Whitehouse, and he was now trapped in Purgatory with Joey, Dawn, Bretman, and Jack. Despite the trouble caused by the ex-blogger, they continued with the mission with the hope that a way could be found to get them all out of there once the fallen YouTubers and Jack’s friend could be found.
The group found the museum and saw The Collector leave with the Gorgon through a portal. They entered the grounds of the museum, and in a courtyard, they found ten of the fallen YouTubers on display in glass cases, Justine, Timothy, Benny, DeStorm, Tana, Gabbie, Alex, Colleen, Esther, and Ro. Joey used a battle axe in order to destroy the power source keeping them trapped, even though Dawn had wanted to just cut the vines.
Their friends were freed and Benny surprised Dawn by giving her a kiss on the lips that she actually enjoyed. Despite that some of them weren’t too happy to see Joey and Dawn, they were all eager to find Jack’s friend, find the rest of their missing friends, and get the hell out of the museum before The Collector returned.
There were complications of Colleen, Ro, Esther, Alex, Dawn, and Justine getting captured by the Egyptian guards, and because of this, they ended up being locked in the same cage with Mortimer. Although Dawn wasn’t too excited to see Mortimer after his betrayal in Everlock, she was willing to give him another chance to redeem himself and regain her trust. They worked on finding a way to unlock a box that was in the cage, and found the solution in a book that helped them open the box to find some kind of stone egg and a fancy-looking box.
*****
While they were trapped, Joey, Benny, Gabbie, Tana, DeStorm, Timothy, Jermaine, and Jack entered the museum itself to figure out how to rescue their captured friends, and they ended up coming face-to-face with the Sorceress. Jack was able to stop the Sorceress from harming anyone, placing a brand on her wrist that would zap her if she tried to kill any member of the group.
The Sorceress was going to help them, even though it was clear that she didn’t like doing it, and she gave Joey an onyx trinket, claiming that was all that she knew. And it turned out that she’d tricked them when the Savant placed it on a clock, which became active, and a note revealed that it was the museum's security system, the Armageddon Clock. That they would have until sunrise to escape or else they all would be Thanos’ snapped into piles of dust, ending up in hell.
Joey punched the Sorceress out of anger, and the group split with DeStorm, Jermaine, Timothy, and Tana going with the Sorceress to locate the Ruler’s Rod, while Joey, Bretman, Benny, and Jack went to see if they could rescue their friends from the cage. Although Joey wasn’t thrilled to see Mortimer when they found the cage, he chose to let Mortimer’s actions in Everlock be put aside for now.
With the help of the two eggs found by those locked up and three additional eggs, they were able to find a key to the cage and some kind of headdress, and they were able to open up the cage to free their friends.
*****
The other group worked on finding the Ruler’s Rod, and Tana amazed everyone by solving a puzzle with the right Egyptian symbols, small statues, and the Ruler’s Rod was found. When everyone came together, Joey was able to place the headdress on the rod, enabling him to take control of the Egyptian guards, and he had them do the dance from Thriller.
Using the box, the group removed a painting that revealed both a vault and a note that told them that they would need to find ten jeweled keys in order to open the vault and locate the Cosmic Sphere, and that those who died in the final death challenges wouldn’t be coming back.
To find the first jeweled key, the group entered the Egypt exhibit, where they found instructions of how to revive the dead pharaoh, and when they did so, a mummy came out roaring, scaring the daylights out of all of them.
That was an hour ago.
*****
The sarcophagus began to glow with a golden light, transfixing the group, and then the lid popped open, releasing the mummy, which roared loudly.
The group screamed and ran for it, tumbling over each other to get out of the exhibit without getting caught by the enraged mummy.
“Run!”
“It’s Imhotep!”
“Get out! Get out!”
The Sorceress was the last one out, and she shoved the doors shut before running after the group since she knew that there wasn’t any point of trying to lock them now that the mummy was active.
Seconds later, the mummy shoved the doors opened and stepped out of the exhibit, roaring loudly.
*****
The group ran down the hallway with the mummy giving chase, and when they managed to get through a set of red doors, Mortimer, Jack, and the Sorceress managed to slam them shut and locking them just as the Mummy collided with the doors, trying to get inside while snarling loudly, plus it was also letting out loud roars.
While the Mummy banged on the doors, the group were taking the opportunity to recover from being chased, and they all were seriously rattled by the latest jump scare.
“My heart," Gabbie whimpered. "Oh, my heart."
"Omigod, omigod, omigod," Tana panted.
Dawn was leaning against one of the display cases, breathing hard. “You – you – you think after going through this before, I’d be used to running so much,” she wheezed.
“You going to be ok, Dawn?” Joey asked the brunette, who nodded. “Ok, just work on taking slow breaths.” And when she nodded again, already starting to look better, he looked around the round room, and he noticed that there was a scroll on the central dais. “Look, a scroll.”
Bretman was remarking of how the mummy, which had given up on trying to get inside since the banging on the doors had stopped, needed lotion as the group gathered around the dais, and the Savant opened the scroll.
“‘The Pharaoh was a kind ruler, but those close to him were not’,” Joey read. “‘They killed him using dark magic and did not understand the evil consequences of their actions. As a mummy, his mind is a blur of hate and revenge, but only he knows the location of the first jeweled key’.”
“So, Imhotep knows where the key is, great,” Dawn said sarcastically. “Where’s Rick O’Connell when you really need him?”
“Duking it out with a mummy in China?” Tim joked, and the group chuckled while the brunette stuck her tongue at him, grinning.
“So what do we do?" Tana asked. "Go back and talk to him?”
“Hell no,” Joey protested.
Gabbie noticed that there was a box on the dais and she tapped it. “No, we obviously have to open this thing.”
“Yeah, let’s figure out this box,” Justine agreed, and the group began looking around for clues to help them get the box open.
Notes:
Welp, they gotta figure out how to get the information about the location of the first jeweled key from the mummy without getting killed. Loads of fun, right? Bye for now! R&R everyone!

CHAPTER TWO: CAT PAWS AND PAINTING
*****
While the group was looking for clues and such, Mortimer took the Sorceress aside to speak to her, and this did get the attention of a certain former time agent.
“Hey," he whispered, hoping not to attract the attention of a certain actress. "I saw what you did. I know you have a bigger plan here.”
The Sorceress smiled. “Such a sweet face,” she remarked, running one of her fingernails along his cheek and chin. “I'd like to do sick things to you.” She smirked when he chuckled nervously, and then shook her head while lowering her hand. “But, uh… I need someone a little more fierce for my plans.” And she turned away from him to see what the YouTubers were doing.
Mortimer sighed and turned, nearly bumping into Jack. “Oh, sorry, man.”
“No problem,” said the former time agent, and put an arm around the younger man’s shoulders, steering him so that he could talk with him in private and not draw attention at the same time. “So, what is the Sorceress up to?” he asked quietly. “I saw you talking to her, and I’m sure that she’s up to something, too.”
Mortimer hesitated and then told Jack what he’d seen her do at the cage. “She killed the captain of the guards, and I think she’s wanting to take control of the museum from The Collector.”
“That doesn’t really surprise me at all,” Jack remarked, noting the younger man’s surprised expression. “I’ve had enough experience with power-hungry villains wanting to take control of planets, even the universe, to know that they won’t ever change, and the Sorceress is no exception.”
Mortimer nodded. “Yeah, that pretty much sums it up,” he agreed. “So, what do we do about her? ‘cause I’m sure that she’s using the group for her own plans.”
“Yeah, she’s using the group all right,” the former time agent agreed, “and right now, all we can do is keep an eye on her while keeping the group safe as much as possible.”
Mortimer nodded. “Yeah, good idea.”
*****
Colleen was tempting to believe that Joey had lied to them about wanting to rescue them, she could believe that Dawn wanted to save them since she had tried to keep her from dying in Everlock, but she chose to focus on finding clues instead, and because of this choice, she found a small box that had a cat on it. She picked it up and showed it to her friends. “You guys! You guys! This little box with a cat…” She opened it and found a note inside, which she took out. “There's a note in it.”
“Girl, that was not there!” Bretman protested, having not seen the box earlier.
“This happens more often then you think, Bretman,” Benny pointed out.
The Duchess took the note out of the box, setting the box down, and she read the note. “‘The Pharaoh's cats turn from stone to flesh by the light of the harvest moon and leave footprints of their travels. Their paths lead to Egypt's most sacred symbols, which must be painted beneath their feet’.”
“There’s cats right there,” said Esther, pointing to four cat statues that were sitting on pedestals by one of the windows, each had a different symbol, and there were scattered all over the floor were cat paw prints going in different directions. “What do we do? Follow the paw prints?”
“Maybe…” Dawn was pondering the paw prints, the symbols on the cat statues while politely ignoring the fact that Tim was taking a drink from a flask that just happened to have a cat on it, and something clicked. “Ok, I think we need to follow the paw prints to the matching-”
The Mummy burst through the outside doors and into the circle room, making the group scream and flee, and it snarled as it tried to capture them. And when it failed, it growled in annoyance and stormed back out of the room.
Everyone came out of hiding while Mortimer hurried to the doors and shut them as securely as possible to keep the Mummy from bursting in on them like that again.
“Hate it when that happens,” DeStorm grumbled.
“Yeah, so what were you saying about the paw prints and the symbols?” Gabbie asked, not admitting to anyone that she had peed herself when the Mummy showed up.
“Uh, sorry, still rattled,” the brunette admitted. “But I think it was to follow the paw prints to the matching symbols…I think?”
Jermaine snorted. “You think?” he repeated. “You think? Wow you really are re-”
“Don’t you dare finish that sentence,” Joey warned, glaring at the ex-blogger, who shrank away.
Colleen, however, figured out what the actress had meant. “Dawn’s right,” she agreed. “The paw prints lead to the symbol, look for the paw prints and where they lead to.”
The group started following the paw prints, finding that they were indeed leading to similar symbols, and Bretman figured it all out.
“Right here!” Bretman exclaimed, pointing to a symbol that resembled a knife. “There's a knife right here, sis! And then there's a symbol on top of this!” And he pointed to the other knife symbol on one of the cat statues.
Alex found a rug and rolled it out, revealing more paw prints. “Here’s more.”
“Right here!" Ro exclaimed, getting down on her hands and knees, adorably poking the paw prints as she followed them. "Boop, boop, boop, boop, boop! I'm following them! I'm following them!” She then got up so that the rug could be repositioned, and several pedestals were also repositioned until each trail of paw prints lead to the right symbols.
“All right, now we need to paint these symbols under the correct cats,” Benny reminded his friends.
Dawn, Bretman, and Alex all grabbed one of the jars of black paint, along with paintbrushes, and they went to work on painting the correct symbols.
“Alex," Bretman teased, "paint me like one of your French girls!”
This got some chuckles, and it wasn’t long before each of the four symbols were painted…well, Dawn and Bretman had managed to paint the symbols correctly, while Alex’s looked like a broken trumpet that was also bleeding.
The box suddenly popped open, scaring the group and they all jumped.
“Freakin’ jump scares,” the brunette grumbled.
“Girl,” Bretman snapped at the box, “you did not just open up like that.”
No one bothered to point out to the Playboy that things randomly opening like that was par for the course.
Joey reached into the box and took out a large scarab beetle. “A scarab beetle!”
“Oh,” Tim scoffed, “a beetle.”
Gabbie checked the box and she found a note, which she took out. “And a note,” she said, unfolding it to find a map on it. “Oh, it's a map.” She read the note that was also on the map. “‘The Sands of Egypt hold many secrets and must be journeyed into to find the magic needed to gain control of the mummy's mind. Place the scarab on the door to enter’. This was outside.”
“All right, back outside we go,” said Joey, and they all headed back outside.
Notes:
Cats, paw prints, and jump scares, just what you expect when trying to look for clues, am I right? And Mortimer did tell Jack about the Sorceress' plan. Bye for now! R&R everyone!

CHAPTER THREE: SANDS OF EGYPT
*****
While this was going on, inside the Sands of Egypt, the Mummy was stalking around, growling and searching while a woman in royal Egyptian clothing hid herself behind one of the pillars to avoid being found by the Mummy, and she remained there even after the Mummy left the area.
*****
The group returned outside and went to a tall door that was set into a wall made out of sandstone bricks, and there was a single door with Egyptian symbols on it, and in the center was the symbol of a scarab.
Joey handed the scarab beetle to Alex. “Want to give it a go?”
Alex nodded, accepting the scarab beetle, which he cautiously placed on the door, and it immediately swung open with nothing bad happening. “Well, that worked.” He, Joey, and Dawn all moved cautiously toward the open doorway.
“Oh, y'all are just gonna go for it," Tana commented. "Okay.”
‘This is how we get killed,’ Tim thought, following the group through the doorway and mentally kicked himself for even thinking that. ‘I’m notgoing to end up like Matt Hagg. I’m not!’ He did wonder where the rest of their friends were, and hoped that they were better off then he was right now.
*****
The group walked down a flight of circular stairs toward a large sand-covered area that was clearly the Sands of Egypt, and there were large sandstone pillars, black pedestals, stepping stones, and some statues. The air was also dusty, making some of them cough and even sneeze, and they were still keeping a look-out for the Mummy.
The group reached the bottom of the stairs and, suddenly, the Egyptian woman came out of hiding to confront them with an angry and anxious expression on her face.
“What have you done?" she demanded. "Why have you awakened the mummy? He'll kill us all!”
“Is this The Collector?” Gabbie wondered.
“No this isn’t The Collector,” said Dawn, suppressing an eye-roll and a sigh.
“Who are you?” Tana asked the woman.
The woman threw her shoulders back to seem taller and imposing. “My name is Nefael and I was once the Pharaoh's wife and queen," she explained. "Now I have nothing." Her voice rose in fearful intensity. "What do you hope to gain by bringing this tortured soul back?”
“We're looking for a key with a gem on it,” Ro answered quickly.
Colleen nodded. “What she said.”
“A jeweled key,” Alex added.
The Egyptian queen scowled, for she clearly knew what they were talking about. “The jeweled key drove him mad," she told them angrily, "and it will do the same to you. But if it will bring him back to a peaceful rest, I will help.”
Joey could tell that Nefael clearly had some strong negative feelings, but he chose not to worry about that and, instead, he moved over the sand to where there were two black statues set up. Reaching them, he found a note. “Guys, there’s a note over here.”
The group gathered around and Benny read the note. “The twin sphinxes hold the key to the mummy's mind. The first one lies near the Pharaoh's sarcophagus, and the second only can be summoned by placing the golden obelisk here’.”
“Clearly, we’re gonna have to split up to find these sphinxes,” Joey remarked, and there was tense agreement to that since no one in the group liked splitting up, having gone through it before. “Who will go with me?”
Justine was quick to volunteer, as was Benny, and Gabbie, Alex, Dawn, and Colleen joined them as well, which meant that Bretman, Tana, Ro, Esther, Jermaine, DeStorm, and Tim were in the second group.
Once this was done, Joey’s team left the area, both the Sorceress and Jack going with them, to go back to the Egypt exhibit to locate one of the sphinxes.
*****
Leaving the Sands of Egypt behind, the team cautiously entered the museum and headed for the Egypt exhibit while keeping an eye out for the Mummy, not wanting to be captured or killed by him. They followed Nefael, who was leading the way, and they entered the exhibit without any trouble…at least for now.
The Egyptian queen went over to a gold box, which she unlocked as they gathered around, and she opened the lid. “There is something the Pharaoh kept hidden from me." She took a beautiful red ruby and turned, presenting it to Joey, who was immediately fixated by the beautiful crystal. "I don't know why…it’s so beautiful.”
“Gorgeous!” the Savant gushed, making his friends snicker since they all knew just how much he loved crystals.
‘Yup, know Joey to go starry eyed for a crystal,’ Justine thought, snickering a little. ‘That will neverchange and I’m happy for that.’
Dawn took a closer look at the ruby, and she saw that there was something inside it. “Joey, I think there’s something inside the gem.”
Joey held the ruby up to the light for a better look, and he saw that the brunette was right, he could see a scroll or something inside the gem. “There’s a scroll.”
“How do we get the scroll out?” Alex wondered.
“I think there’s only one way to do it,” said Benny, realizing what the Savant would have to do in order to retrieve the scroll. “Break the crystal.”
Joey pouted. “Oh, do I have to?”
“Yeah, I think you’re gonna have to break the crystal open,” Colleen agreed, and she could tell that he reallydidn’t want to do it.
“Tough choice to make,” Gabbie agreed.
“Joey, when we all get out of this place, I’ll buy you as many crystals as you want,” Dawn offered. “And I can smash it instead, if you want me to,” she added.
Joey really didn’t want to break the ruby, and so he agreed to let the actress do it for him. “All right, you can do it, Donny.”
Dawn nodded and accepted the crystal. “Might want to back up a bit,” she suggested, and her friends did so. Steeling herself, she threw the crystal onto the floor as hard as she could, and it shattered into pieces that did fly a bit, but no one got hurt.
The Savant bent down and retrieved the scroll, opening it and he read the contents.
“‘One of the twin sphinxes is locked inside the Mystic Box and can only be opened by the blood of one responsible for the mummy's return’,” he read and they all exchanged uneasy looks, wondering if this meant Tana, seeing how she’d been the one to place the ankh on the sarcophagus earlier. “‘The path to truth lies in urns holding the Pharaoh's organs. One at a time, each of you must select an urn and place it in the right location. If correct, the goddess blinks once. If wrong, she blinks twice, and you must try again. Each wrong placement puts your card in the voting pile. The oldest starts, then selects the next to go, and so on’.”
Dawn groaned and hung her head. “And guess who just happens to be the oldest one in this group.”
“You sure that you’re the oldest?” Justine asked. “I mean, my birth year is 1984.”
“I’m sure, Justine,” said the brunette with a sigh. “1982, and I’m currently 36. Which means, I’m the oldest.”
Joey gave his friend a hug. “You’ll do fine, Donny.”
“Let’s hope so.”
Dawn was so not looking forward to this challenge.
Notes:
Now, before anyone bugs me about having Dawn being in the same group with Joey, there's a reason for it. Dawn is two years older than Justine, and so that's why she's going first with the urn challenge. Bye for now! R&R everyone!

CHAPTER FOUR: POSES AND URNS PART ONE
*****
DeStorm’s group exited the Sands of Egypt and Mortimer shut the door behind them. Once they were all outside, they wondered what they needed to do in order to find the golden obelisk.
“Where we going, Mortimer?” Tim asked their helper.
Mortimer shrugged and tapped the note that Ro was holding, having been given it by Joey earlier. “I don't know,” he admitted. “What does this say?”
“I think we have to do this,” Bretman remarked.
Ro opened the note. “It says ‘mimic us’.”
“Look on the back, I think there’s something on it,” Esther suggested.
Ro turned the paper over and sure enough, there was a picture on the back that showed two guys standing underneath a doorway, doing what looks like a sick dance move together.
“Where’s this door?” Bretman asked, looking around.
DeStorm looked around and saw that there was an archway identical to the one in the picture nearby. “Oh, there it is! Right here!”
“Oh wow,” said Jermaine sarcastically, “an archway.”
Tim rolled his eyes and confronted the ex-blogger. “Here’s an idea, bud,” he suggested, “shut it.” And he turned away, but not before seeing the guy’s shocked expression. ‘It was bad enough when Matt talked like that two years ago when he gave up hope,’ he thought, ‘not having that happen here tonight.’
Ro hurried over to the archway with an eager expression on her face. “Let's do it! In front of here!”
“Give me the note, Ro,” said Esther and the Socialite handed it over. “Ok, you and DeStorm need to pose like in this picture.”
“Why me?” DeStorm asked, but instead of getting an answer, Ro pulled him over, and so, repressing a sigh, he and she went to work to mimic the dance move.
After DeStorm went down a bit and Ro got on her tippy toes, they managed to mimic the move – and a scroll dropped down on a rope, startling all of them.
“Omigod, y'all need to stop with this!” Bretman yelped, not used to things suddenly appearing like that.
“It's a tarantula,” Tim joked.
“That’s just how things work around here, Bretman,” said Esther, retrieving the scroll from the rope. “Things just pop up when you least expect it.”
Ro was thrilled. “We did it!”
“Hey, come on,” said DeStorm, offering her a double high-five, which she accepted happily. “We out here. That's what I'm talking about.”
Just then, the Mummy showed up growling and snarling, and the group screamed, scattering like jackrabbits to avoid being captured as it came after them.
Jermaine tried to run, but he ended up tripping on one of the paving stones, and was winded by the blow as he hit the ground. “Ow,” he muttered, getting up – and was immediately grabbed from behind by the Mummy. “No! Let go! Help!” he screamed, sounding very much like a little girl as he was dragged kicking and screaming out of sight.
The others watched him disappear and exchanged looks, debating of whether to rescue the ex-blogger or focus on the new clue. They chose to focus on the new clue and leave Jermaine to his own devices, figuring that the Mummy wasn’t going to kill him right away.
*****
“Get off! Let go!” Jermaine screamed, struggling in the grip of the Mummy as it dragged him through the museum, and into the lounge of all places, which confused him. “Why are we in here?” He didn’t get any answers, instead he got shoved onto the couch, and his wrists were tied behind his back.
“Huh?” Now the ex-blogger was really confused. “Why’re you leaving me here for?” he demanded as the Mummy walked away. “Hey! I’m talking to you! Get back here!” But he was left all alone instead.
“Great, just great.”
*****
Back in the Egypt exhibit, the group was gathered around the pedestal that held six urns and had a black/gold female statue in the center, holding a light above its head, which was suppose to be the Goddess that would let them know if they were right or wrong with where they placed the urns.
“Dawn,” Joey said with a sigh since his friend was looking nervous, “you’re first.”
‘Yeah, I’m first, and if I screw up,’ Dawn thought, looking at the urns, ‘my name will go into the voting pile.’ She pushed those thoughts aside and took a breath before choosing an urn, picking it up to reveal a circle with words. “Ok, I choose this one,” she said and read what was in the circle. “‘High above, two become one’.”
“What could that mean?” Justine wondered.
The brunette furrowed her brow, thinking as she chewed her lip and walked around the room, examining the various symbols to choose from. “Well, it could mean the sun and moon,” she guessed. “They’ve been known to meet in the sky as an eclipse.” She kept looking at the symbols, not sure of how much time they had before the Mummy would show up to growl “Boo!”
“Feeling nervous, Light-bearer?” the Sorceress asked snidely, and was disappointed when the actress ignored her.
Dawn was feeling nervous, and she finally found a symbol of a flying beetle holding a circle. “Well, let’s see if this work,” she said finally, hoping that this would be right, and she placed the urn on the symbol.
They all looked at the Goddess, which ended up blinking twice, and that meant that the brunette had gotten it wrong.
“Dang it,” Dawn muttered, picking the urn back up. “This is stressful.”
Joey went to the actress and squeezed her shoulder. “You can do this, Donny, just take a breath and think about it.”
“Joey’s right,” Benny agreed. “You got this.”
The brunette nodded and looked at each of the symbols again, this time pausing at a different symbol that was a circle between two mountains, and something clicked in her mind. “Wait, this is the symbol Akhet,” she recalled from a memory of studying Ancient Egypt. “And it’s been said to represent an eclipse.”
She placed the urn on the symbol and glanced at the Goddess, which blinked once, and she grinned while her friends were thrilled. “Yes.”
“Knew you could do it,” said Joey, giving her a hug. “Now you have to decide who goes next.”
Dawn nodded and looked around the group. “Any volunteers? Or should I randomly choose?”
“Might as well do it randomly,” Colleen suggested.
The brunette nodded, feeling the stress return, but not as badly, and got an idea. “Ok, choose a number between 1 and 50, and I’ll let you know if you’re right or if you’re close, and whoever’s closest will go next.”
Her friends agreed and confirmed when they each had a number in mind, and Dawn asked each of them in turn for their numbers. “Ok, so Justine, your number was closest.”
Justine nodded, feeling nervous. “Great.” She turned to the urns and chose one. “Well, I guess I'll take this one.” She picked it up and read what was underneath it. “‘I eat and I speak’.” She then inspected the symbols, wondering which one was the right one. “I mean, this one's an eye," she remarked. "This one looks like a leg. This one's a…It sort of looks like a parrot?" She was feeling stressed. "I don't know! I'm just gonna go with this one.”
She placed the urn on top of the symbol, and glanced at the Goddess, which blinked twice. “Dammit.” She picked the urn back up, knowing that she was going to have to try again, and she tried a different bird symbol – only to have the Goddess blinked twice again. ‘Great, now my name is going in twice!’
Things weren’t looking too good for the Adventurer.

Did I have the Mummy grab Jermaine instead of Tana? Yes, yes I did. Hehe! Yeah, that urn challenge isn't an easy challenge. Bye for now! R&R everyone!

CHAPTER FIVE: URNS AND THROWING PART TWO
*****
In the Egypt exhibit, Joey and his friends were doing an urn challenge, where Dawn had gone first and had messed up the first time, but had managed to get it right the second time, and Justine was struggling, having messed up twice.
Alex looked around at the symbols, wanting to help the Adventurer, and noticed that there was a symbol that was mouth-shaped. “Wait, this kind of looks like a mouth," he remarked, tapping it with his finger. "I eat and I speak?”
“I thought it was an eye,” Justine confessed, walking over to the symbol she’d dismissed earlier.
The Aviator shrugged. “It looks kind of like a mouth.”
The Adventurer sighed and placed the urn on the symbol, and then looked over at the Goddess, which blinked once.
“We got it!” Joey cheered. “Yes! That one's right!”
Justine smiled, but she was really wishing that she’d solved the riddle on her own the first time around, and without any help. ‘My name will be going in twice,’ she thought while deciding who should go next.
*****
Meanwhile outside, DeStorm’s group opened the scroll to find that it had the image of a small Egyptian figurine sitting on a rock and instructions.
“We need to knock that figurine over,” said Ro, reading the instructions.
“Where she at?” Bretman contemplated, and then he gasped dramatically, startling his friends. “I know where this b*tch is!” And he immediately ran off like a shot.
“Oh, God," Tim laughed as they followed after the Playboy. "Screaming all the time.”
*****
Bretman ran around a corner of the museum, almost tripping, and kept running until he reached a balcony, and sure enough, across from him was the small Egyptian statue on the very rock. “She's right here!”
He hurried back to the group, nearly running into Ro when he turned the corner and found them.
“She's right here." He pointed at the figurine. "Do you have the rocks?”
“No! Oh, shoot!” Ro gasped, having forgotten that they would need rocks in order to knock over the statue.
“Go grab the rocks," the Playboy instructed. "I think we're supposed to throw it at that.”
DeStorm, Esther, and Ro went back to get the rocks they’d run past, the Enforcer grabbed rocks and put them in a basket that the Lounge Singer had found, and the Socialite quickly grabbed a small pile of rocks.
“Ok,” said Ro, straightening up. “Here you go, DeSto-” And she found herself face-to-face with the Mummy, which had managed to sneak up on her, and she dropped the rocks as it grabbed her, dragging her away as she screamed.
“Ro!” Esther tried to go after her, but DeStorm stopped her. “Ro!”
“There’s nothing we can do for her right now,” the Enforcer reminded her. “I’m sure she’ll be fine, let’s get these darn rocks and get that statue knocked over.”
The Lounge Singer really wanted to go save Ro, but she knew that DeStorm was right, so they gathered up the rocks and hurried back to Bretman, Tim, Tana, and Mortimer.
*****
Meanwhile, Ro was trembling in the grip of the Mummy, having been captured for the second time that night, and she was wondering what was going to happen to her, when they entered the lounge and she saw Jermaine tied up and sitting on the couch. “Oh!”
Jermaine twisted to look behind him and scowled when he saw the Socialite. “Oh, great, the small one,” he grumbled, looking away as the Mummy tied her wrists behind her back and forced onto the couch. “So much for being rescued.”
“Hey, be nice for once in your life,” Ro scolded. “The others will find us and untie us once they’re done with the tasks,” she added.
“Yeah right.”
*****
“We heard screaming,” said Tana when Esther and DeStorm returned with the rocks. “Where’s Ro?”
“The Mummy took her,” Esther replied. “Come on, the sooner we get that statue knocked over, the better.”
Agreeing, Bretman took the basket, the others each taking some rocks from it, and they all took turns throwing rocks at the statue, missing. But when it was DeStorm’s turn, he managed to knock the statue over on his first try, and a scroll fell out of the sky.
The Playboy, having expected it to happen this time, grabbed the scroll. “Right here!”
“That’s how you do it,” DeStorm said with pride as they walked away to follow the new clue. “That's how you do it!”
*****
Back in the Egypt exhibit, Gabbie was chosen to go next, and she picked up one of the urns, finding the riddle. “‘I walk without legs’,” she read and recalling that there was a snake symbol on the dais where the sarcophagus sat, she hurried over to it, and she placed her urn on the symbol.
They all looked at the Goddess, which blinked once, and they all cheered while the Hollywood actress beamed, pleased that she’d gotten it right.

CHAPTER SIX: URNS AND BEETLES PART THREE
*****
“You’re up, Joey.”
Joey nodded and, taking a deep breath, picked up the urn to read the riddle. “‘I take what's left’,” he read and, recalling that there was a vulture, he went to it. “This could be a vulture,” he guessed and set the urn down on it, glancing toward the Goddess, which blinked once. “Yes!”
“I’ll go next,” said Colleen, picking up one of the remaining urns and sighed, realizing this wasn’t going to be easy. “‘I hold the meal’.” ‘Great, know me to pick a tough one,’ she thought, going over to where there were two symbols, one of a hand and one of a bowl. “Well, this kind of looks like a hand, and there's a bowl?”
“I think that could be a bowl,” Gabbie guessed.
Dawn bent down, looking between the two symbols. “Well, hands can hold meals, and this definitelylooks like a hand,” she remarked, glancing up at the Duchess. “I say go for the hand.”
‘Dawn didn’t vote for me back in Everlock,’ Colleen thought, ‘and she did try to keep me from dying in the Maiden of Madness. I can trust her.’ She nodded and placed the urn on the hand.
The group all looked at the Goddess, which blinked once, and they all cheered.
“Thanks, Dawn,” said the Duchess, “you were right.”
“Yeah, and I’m really sorry for failing to save you from the iron maiden back in Everlock,” Dawn apologized, “it wasn’t fair, and I’ve been feeling really guilty about it these past months.”
Colleen could tell that the brunette was being honest. “I accept your apology, Dawn,” she told the actress, who smiled. “I know you didn’t want me to die and you did do your hardest to save me.”
Benny went to take his turn and picked up one of the remaining urns. “‘I die and I live’,” he read, forehead furrowed. “Well, the Egyptians believed in being reborn, and…oh!” He hurried over to the scarab beetle symbol that Dawn tried earlier, and placed the urn on it while glancing at the Goddess, which blinked once. “All right!”
“Last one,” Alex said, picking up the remaining urn and read the riddle. “‘I burn for hours’.”
“A candle, right?” Colleen guessed.
The Aviator went over to the dais with the sarcophagus and pointed to one of the symbols. “It could be a candle holder. Like, an old-timey one?"
"That's what I was thinking," Gabbie agreed. "It might be a little flame."
"Okay." Alex shrugged and knelt down. "I'm just gonna do it.” He placed the urn on the symbol, and the Goddess blinked once.
“You got it!” Joey cheered, for it was the last urn.
Off to the side, a chest popped open, and they all hurried over to it. The Savant reached inside and pulled out an elegant Egyptian staff. “Whoa, what is this?” he wondered. “Cool!”
“Oh, another note!” Alex exclaimed, pulling out a piece of paper from the chest, positive that it would explain the purpose of the staff.
*****
Meanwhile outside, DeStorm opened the scroll, which held the image of a beetle and what looked like a well. “‘Touch us’,” he read. “Touch what? This beetle? Where the hell is that?”
Bretman, however, figured it out. “This well is over there,” he said, tapping the picture and pointed toward the rotunda that had once been a cage. “And we gotta touch some beetles.” And he ran that way, leaving the group with no choice but to follow.
*****
They entered the rotunda, which Esther wasn’t too happy about returning to, and found that the floor was covered with leaves, skulls, and various body parts.
“Ew,” Tana moaned. “This gross.”
“I know,” the Lounge Singer agreed, grimacing.
Tim agreed with the girls. “There's body parts all over.”
“It's probably in the damn well,” DeStorm guessed.
Bretman started kicking at the leaves and dirt to see if he could find a beetle or at least the symbol of a beetle while ignoring Tim as he teased DeStorm with a dismembered arm, grossing Tana and Esther out in the process, and he soon spotted a black beetle symbol printed on the floor. “B*tch, is this a beetle, or is it not a beetle?”
“Let’s see if there’s more beetles,” Esther suggested, and they resumed looking around for the beetle symbols now that they knew what it looked like.
Soon four more beetles were found, and they all stood on the symbols. A few seconds later, a golden obelisk descended from the display above them.
“Oh, we got it!” Tim exclaimed.
DeStorm retrieved the golden obelisk. “All right, y’all, let’s get out of here.”
“Agreed.”
*****
Returning to the Sands of Egypt, DeStorm set the obelisk on one of the podiums, and a chest popped open. “Oh! That's what I'm talking about!”
Bretman danced over the stones to reach the chest, where he found a shiny gold sphinx inside, and he quickly snatched it up, liking how it went with his jacket. ‘DeStorm, Tim, Esther, Rosanna, y'all better not touch this sphinx,’ he thought smugly. ‘I earned it. It's mine. So there.’
“Honey, I’m coming home!” DeStorm shouted to the stormy night sky as they left the Sands of Egypt to rejoin and find the others.
*****
In the Egypt exhibit, Alex read the note. “‘The Staff of the Nile was used by the Pharaoh to determine the guilt of criminals. When touched to their forehead, the crystal will glow if they're guilty. Test everyone in the group’.”
“Guilty of what?” Colleen and Gabbie asked at the same time.
“The Pharaoh's death…I think,” Joey guessed.
“So, this staff will work as a lie detector,” Dawn remarked. “Neat.”
‘A magic lie detector is cool,’ the Aviator thought, and looked at the Savant. “Put it to your head first.”
Joey felt nervous, but he nodded and placed the staff to his own forehead. “Ok, is anything happening?” he asked after about a minute.
Benny shook his head. “Nope, nothing.”
The Savant removed the staff and turned to Justine, who was closest. “Ok, Justine.”
Justine made a face as the staff was placed against her forehead. “Oh, come on now.” And nothing happened.
Notes:
Did I choose to have Colleen get her guess right on the first try with Dawn's help? Yes, yes I did, for I didn't want her to have her name put into the voting pile like that. Bye for now! R&R everyone!

CHAPTER SEVEN: GUILT AND BLOOD
*****
Joey went around the group, testing Gabbie, Benny, Jack, who did a cross-eyed look that got laughs, Dawn, who made a face that got a few laughs, and Alex, who made a show of looking scared, which also got laughs. And none of them were guilty.
“I’ll try the Sorceress,” said the Savant, and he placed the staff on the evil woman’s forehead – and nothing happened.
This was surprising to Dawn, but then she realized that there was one person who hadn’t been tested yet. “Wait, that just leaves the Pharaoh's wife,” she realized, turning to the Egyptian woman.
Joey also faced the Egyptian queen. “You.”
“I loved my husband," Nefael insisted. "I had nothing to do with his death!" And then she took off running down the hall.
“Get her!”
*****
The group chased after Nefael, with Dawn and Benny pulling ahead and they managed to capture her. “Oh no you don’t!” And they forced her to return to the room.
“Why would you kill him?” Joey demanded once they were all back in the room, and he was facing the Egyptian queen.
“I just wanted what rightfully belonged to me,” Nefael admitted scornfully.
Gabbie pointed to the staff, which had a red gem that was now glowing. “What is that?”
“It’s glowing!” Alex exclaimed.
The Savant held the glowing staff to the Egyptian queen’s forehead, where it glowed even brighter. “You murdered your own husband,” he declared.
“Egypt should've been mine!" Nefael snarled, a nasty look etching itself across on her face. "I was born to rule! The Pharaoh was weak!”
“No, you’re weak for murdering your own husband,” Dawn snapped. “Murder is wrong, and what you did was wrong.”
Gabbie realized that now they had the guilty party, they needed the Egyptian queen’s blood. “Joey, I think you have to kill her,” she told the Savant.
Joey’s face paled at the thought. “No, I'm not…” he stammered, for that was the last thing he wanted to do. “I'm not doing it.”
Suddenly the Sorceress, who was standing behind Joey and Dawn without their knowledge, pulled out her knife and had an evil expression on her face.
“Joey, Dawn, watch out!” the Hollywood Star shrieked.
The Savant and the actress both yelped and were pulled out of the way by Jack and Benny as the Sorceress charged and tackled Nefael with a scream, knocking her to the floor.
Before anyone could do anything, the Sorceress proceeded to stab the Egyptian queen repeatedly until the woman was dead and bleeding from the various stab wounds. She then got up, cleaning off her knife with a smug expression on her face. “There, she’s dead.”
Joey and Dawn were looking shell-shocked, Jack and Benny were stunned, Justine had backed into the nearest wall with a wide-eyed expression, and both Alex and Gabbie were floored, unsure of what had just happened.
The Sorceress actually helped them?
“Ok,” Justine whimpered, “so we have the blood now.”
Gabbie went over to the dead body, dipped two of her fingers into the blood, and then she went over to the mystic box, touching it with the blood. She jumped back when it opened, revealing the golden sphinx and a note.
Pushing off the wall, Justine hurried over and retrieved the sphinx, along with the note, and held it up. “We got the sphinx, let’s get out of here.”
Agreeing with that, they all headed for the doorway to leave the exhibit, having had enough, and yet they all knew that there was still a vote waiting for when they rejoined their friends.
“Thanks, Sorceress,” Gabbie said to the evil woman as she left the room.
“Thank you!” Justine echoed.
The Sorceress smirked and trailed after the group. “Don’t mention it.”
*****
Meanwhile outside the museum, the Mummy entered the Sands of Egypt, growling and snarling as it went to the center of the sandy area.
Once it was there, it looked around before it let out an almighty roar, unleashing hundreds of flesh-eating scarabs that proceeded to crawl down its’ body to the sand, where they buried themselves to wait.
And they were very hungry.
Notes:
Murdered by his own wife, ouch. And I agree with Justine's shell-shocked expression when the Sorceress killed the Pharaoh's wife, that was scary since I was certain she was going to go after Joey and Dawn since she was right behind them. Bye for now! R&R everyone!

CHAPTER EIGHT: VOTING DEBATE PART ONE
*****
Meanwhile in the lounge, Jermaine had been trying to get free of the rope tied around his wrists without any real luck, and he glanced over at Ro, who was just sitting and quietly humming a song to herself.
“How can you be so calm at a time like this?” he demanded, getting her attention. “We’re tied up and that Mummy will probably come back and kill us both.”
“No, I think the others will find us and untie us,” Ro said confidently. “That’s generally how this works.”
The ex-blogger snorted. “Yeah right, nothing works like that.”
Just then, the outside doors opened and DeStorm, Tim, Bretman, Esther, and Tana entered the room with the gold sphinx.
“Guys!” the Socialite exclaimed, jumping up and presented her tied wrists. “Can you untie me?”
Bretman went to help untie Ro while Tim untied Jermaine, who wasn’t about to admit that Ro had been right, and then the rest of their friends arrived from the Egypt exhibit.
“Guys!” Alex called out, holding up the sphinx they’d found.
“Guys,” said Joey, “we found one.”
“You got it!” Ro cheered.
Bretman was showing off the other sphinx when Jermaine pointed at the Sorceress, having seen that she had blood on her hands. “That’s blood! Someone was killed! Murderers! You all are murder-”
The Sorceress suddenly sprang forward and grabbed the ex-blogger by his neck, cutting off his ability to speak. “Would you like to die next?” she asked with a cold glint in her dark eyes.
“Let him go,” Jack ordered, and when the evil woman refused, he tapped a command, and she shrieked when the brand zapped her.
Jermaine gasped, clutching at his throat while the Sorceress retreated, shooting evil looks at the former time agent.
Justine cleared her throat to break the awkward silence that’d fallen over the group, and held up the note.
“Guys, listen,” she said, sitting down on the couch and they gathered around, keeping some distance from the Sorceress. “We found a note with our sphinx. ‘To recover the jeweled key, three must be chosen by vote to brave the Sands of Egypt. However, you may only choose from among your own group. Friends will betray friends. Discuss among yourselves, and then select the card of the person you want forced into the death challenge. Choose wisely, for two will be chosen from one group, and just one from the other group. Revenge is a dish best served cold’.”
Dawn groaned and buried her face in her arms. “Not again. This wasn’t suppose to happen.”
“What does this voting even mean?” Bretman inquired. “What will happen?”
Benny sighed, choosing to explain. “What happens, Bretman, is that we first discuss among ourselves who to vote for, then we vote, and either two or three people, in this case, will go into what we call final death challenges.” He sighed. “Generally only one or two people make it out alive…most of the time.”
“But, which group will put up two people?” Tana wondered. “That hasn’t happen before, has it?”
“No, that’s a first,” Joey agreed. “I guess we have to worry about that when it comes to the results of the vote.”
Figuring that he was right, the two groups went to opposite sides of the room while Mortimer went to a table and began pulling out fourteen stacks of cards to set up when it was time to vote, separating the stacks for the two groups.
Jack joined him at the table. “You know how to do this?” he asked, flinching slightly at the images on the cards since they weren’t pretty to look at.
“I saw Calliope do this back in Everlock,” Mortimer answered. “Shouldn’t be too hard to do.”
“Yeah, doesn’t look that hard at all,” the former time agent commented while keeping tabs on the Sorceress, who was standing in a corner, glowering.
*****
Justine was talking with Alex and Colleen about who to vote for, and she was worried since her name would be going into the voting pile twice. “I got two,” she reminded them, “and Dawn has one, but I don’t want to vote for her since she tried to save me from being buried alive, and I owe her for that at least.”
“And there’s that whole matter with the Light-bearer bloodlines being inside her,” Alex added. “I don’t think we should vote for Dawn.”
Colleen nodded. “And Dawn did try to save me from being killed back in Everlock,” she agreed, not wanting anything to happen to the actress, and she turned to Alex, getting an idea. “You know, you should take one for the team,” she suggested.
“I should?” Alex stammered, wrong-footed. “Okay, but you guys remember this if I do this.”
“We’ll remember,” Justine promised the Aviator and the Duchess agreed.
*****
In a different corner, Benny was talking with Gabbie, Joey, and Dawn about the upcoming vote, and who to vote for.
“Given that three are going into this challenge,” said the Marine, “it’s going to make this a tough vote.”
“I know,” Joey agreed. “This is so difficult.”
“And I really don’t want to vote for anyone,” Dawn confessed. “But nothing with this mission has gone right so far.”
Gabbie understood where they were coming from, especially Joey and Dawn, but she also knew that someone needed to be voted into the final death challenge. “I know,” she said, thinking. “It's really hard, but I just think because Justine's already more likely to be in there, then we might as well just lean into that.”
Both the Savant and the brunette stared at her like she’d gone mental. “What, Justine? No.”
“She already has her name going into the pile twice,” the Hollywood Star reminded them, “and she did struggle with the urn challenge, so it just makes sense.”
Joey was feeling conflicted since this isn’t what he had wanted to do, and then Justine walked over. “Justine.”
“Joey, can I talk with you, Dawn, and Benny?” the Adventurer requested.
“Ok.”
“Sure.”
“Yeah.”
Gabbie watched them walk away with the blonde and then went to talk with Alex and Colleen, having come to a decision.
Notes:
Now, what could Gabbie be up to? What decision has she made? Bye for now! R&R everyone!

CHAPTER NINE: VOTING DEBATE PART TWO
*****
Moving to the doorway, Justine turned to her three friends, and she was about ask them something that she knew that they wouldn’t want to do, but she knew it had to be done. “I’m guessing that Gabbie is wanting to vote me into the final death challenge.”
“Justine-” Joey began.
The Adventurer held up a hand to stop him. “Listen, I get it, I messed up during the urn challenge, and my name is already going in twice as it is,” she said, having suspected that she would be targeted. “Which is why I want you three to vote for me.”
Benny blinked. “Wait what?”
“No,” Joey protested, taking her hands into his. “No, I can’t do that to you.”
“And I won’t do it,” Dawn said firmly. “Don’t ask us to do that to you, Justine.”
“Neither will I,” the Marine agreed.
Justine wasn’t surprised that they were objecting, given that the three of them had refused to vote for her, along with Matt Haag, to be buried alive, and while she didn’t want to put them into this situation, she needed them to do this for her. “And I rather not ask you to do this,” she agreed, “but I know that I’ll be going into the death challenge, and I rather do it on my terns.”
The Savant felt his heart hurt. “Justine, please, this isn’t why we came here,” he objected. “We came to save everyone, not send anyone into final death challenges.”
“I can do this,” the blonde insisted. “I’ll win and I’ll come back, please, trust me to do this and vote for me, ok?”
Reluctantly the trio agreed, they would vote for Justine.
*****
“Guys,” Gabbie said to Alex and Colleen. “I don’t know who you two are intending to vote for, but given how things played out during the urn challenge, I’m pretty certain that Justine will be voted for since her name is already going in twice, and if two are chosen from our group, then I think we should put up Dawn.”
“Uh, why Dawn?” Alex asked, glancing at the brunette in question.
“Well, for one thing,” said the Hollywood Star, “she and Joey are responsible for us being dead to begin with, and while I understand why, I think Dawn should have a chance to prove herself is all.”
“No, not Dawn,” Colleen protested. “She may have been directly and/or indirectly for the deaths, but she did her level best to prevent my death back in Everlock, and I can’t vote her into a final death challenge.”
“I don’t know,” said Alex, who wasn’t looking convinced. “What about the bloodline business? What if she dies, all twelve bloodlines will be wiped out, going back to the first twelve Light-bearers? What will that do to the timeline?”
Gabbie shrugged, not really caring or believing the whole Light-bearer business. “It’s just a risk we’ll have to take.”
*****
While all of this was going on, the other team was also discussing of who to vote for, and Jermaine was fuming since he couldn’t vote for Dawn or Joey, plus that his name was going into the voting pile with Ro’s, just because they both had gotten captured by the Mummy earlier.
‘I shouldn’t vote at all,’ he thought sourly, ‘I’m not one of them, I shouldn’t have to do it.’
Bretman was having similar thoughts, and he was planning to give Nikita an earful when he next saw her. ‘This might be common for them,’ he thought, sitting on a chair near the couch, ‘but not for me, and I’m not going to let them drag me down to their level.’
“We all pretty much pulled our weight during this last challenge,” said DeStorm, pulling the Playboy from his thoughts. “With the exception of Jermaine, as he mostly complained and got caught, so his name is already going in once.”
“Excuse me,” the ex-blogger protested. “I’ve been helpful, and don’t forget, Ro here was also captured by the Mummy.”
Ro glared at him before defending herself. “I'm a team player,” she insisted, “and I'm not coming for anybody. I'm just here to support everybody, and I really wanna get home." She thought of her dog, Cookie. "I have a fur baby at home. She doesn't have anyone else.”
“And Bretman, he killed the game, and plus, Bret's my Asian brother, so I'm not gonna vote for Bret,” Tim stated firmly.
The debate went on a bit longer until Mortimer cleared his throat to get the attention of the group, and they all returned to either sit or stand. “All right, guys, look, it's time to vote," he announced, and there were fourteen stacks of tarot cards lined up on a table in front of him. "If you got captured, or if you made a mistake in the urn challenge, you already have a strike against you." He took a Socialite card, a Blogger card, an actress card, and two Adventurer cards to start the two voting piles in order to keep the two teams separate. "Once the voting has been completed, then the captain of each time will flip a coin to determine which team will lose. Alex, you can go first.”
Alex went to the table, a bit unnerved of how each of the cards, saved for Bretman’s and Jermaine showed how each of them actually died, and even Dawn’s cards showed her getting sliced on the right arm with the Sorceress’ knife. ‘Sorry, Donny,’ he thought, picking up one of the actress’ cards and handed it to Mortimer, ‘but I’m sure that you can handle it.’
One by one, each of them went up to vote for who would be going into the final death challenge in order to get the first jeweled key. And when Bretman voted, he turned back with a little flourish before sitting back down.
DeStorm was the last to vote, and he decided to ruffle some feathers by voting for Ro, for he was sure that no one else was going to vote for the cinnamon roll.
Notes:
It wasn't easy for Justine to make that request of Joey, Dawn, and Benny, and I find Gabbie wanting Dawn to go into the final death challenge to be a bit sus. Bye for now! R&R everyone!

CHAPTER TEN: RESULTS
*****
Mortimer waited until everyone had voted, having to stop Jermaine from grabbing one of Joey’s cards, and he took a coin out of his pocket. “Ok, before I shuffle the cards, the leader of each team will need to determine which team will give up two people for the challenge.”
Not looking forward to this, both Joey and DeStorm stepped forward, and once he knew who had heads and who had tails, Mortimer flipped the coin into the air, catching it and placed on the back of his hand, keeping it covered.
“Should the winner or the loser give up two people?” he asked.
“The loser should,” DeStorm stated and the Savant nodded.
“All right,” said Mortimer, and he revealed the coin. “Heads.”
The Enforcer beamed while Joey groaned, and they both went back to stand with their friends. Dawn gave the Savant’s hand a squeeze, and he returned it.
Pocketing the coin, Mortimer picked up the first pile and shuffled the cards several times before drawing one. “The first person from the first team to go into the challenge is…the Adventurer.” And he revealed one of Justine’s cards.
Hating herself for being right, Justine hunched over, her hair hanging loose, her mind swimming with pain and regret while most of her friends were handling the news with pained expression and voicing their shock.
‘I knew this would happen,’ she thought, taking a deep breath and straightening up. ‘I knew it, and I’m going to prove that I can win.’
Mortimer shuffled the cards a second time and drew another card. “The second person from the first team to go into the challenge is…the actress.” And he revealed one of Dawn’s cards.
Dawn moaned and hid her face in her arms, her shoulders shaking with grief while both Joey and Benny did their best to comfort her, fearful of what would happen if she did die. “Great, just great.”
“Not Donny,” Ro protested, reaching behind her to squeeze her friend’s hand. “Not you.”
Mortimer set aside the cards and picked up the second pile, shuffling it before choosing a card. “Second group…” he said, getting their attention and held up a Pin-up Girl card. “Tana.”
Tana gasped, not having expected to be voted for since she was sure that she’d carried her weight quite a bit in the challenge, and she wasn’t the only who was surprised by the fact that she would be going into the first final death challenge of the night.
“Omigod,” said Joey.
“Whoa,” said Gabbie. “I actually did not see that coming.”
The Pin-up Girl wiped away the tears that were starting to fall and nodded to Justine and Dawn. “They’re gonna beat me,” she declared, positive that she was going to be the one to end up dying at the hands of the Mummy.
The Hollywood Star shifted slightly, fearful for the trio, especially for Tana. “For sure,” she agreed, “but we loved having you here.” And she grinned when the Pin-up Girl stuck her tongue at her, and most of the group laughed.
‘I want all three of them to come back from this alive,’ Joey thought as hugs were exchanged among the group, and he made a point to give tight hugs to Dawn and Justine, hoping that they would both come back alive, along with Tana. ‘I came here to save my friends, not send them to their deaths a second time.’
“If you can help Justine,” the Savant whispered to the brunette, “and not get in trouble during the challenge, then do it.”
Dawn nodded. “I will,” she promised quietly. ‘Great, first final death challenge of the night, and I’m going into it. Argh!’
“See you in a minute?” Joey asked Justine quietly, earning a small smile from her.
The blonde nodded. “Yeah, see you in a minute,” she agreed, “and I’ll do everything I can to help Dawn, so that she can come back, too.” And she hugged the Savant a second time for good measure.
Once all of the hugs and well-wishes were completed, Mortimer and Jack lead the way out of the room with the three girls following, and the group all exchanged looks, wondering if all three would be able to come back, would two come back, or would only one of the girls returned.
“Ok,” said Benny, fixing the group with a look, for he wasn’t thrilled atallthat Dawn had been voted for. “Who voted for Dawn?”
Meekly, Alex and Gabbie both raised their hands, earning a shocked gasp from Joey, and the Marine scowled.
“Seriously?” Benny demanded. “You both know about the prophecy, the twelve Light-bearer bloodlines, and what will most likely happen should the prophecy fail or what will happen to the timeline should the bloodlines get wiped out.”
Jermaine snorted. “You don’t actually believe all that nonsense do you?”
“It isn’t nonsense,” Joey objected. “It’s the truth.”
“Yeah, so just shut up, Jermaine,” Colleen added, hoping that the brunette would make it back alive, and she was proud of herself for not voting for Dawn. ‘Please come back, guys, come back alive.’

Well, we now know that Justine, Dawn, and Tana are going into the final death challenge to face the Mummy and get the first of the jeweled keys. Bye for now! R&R everyone!

CHAPTER ELEVEN: SAND EVERYWHERE!
*****
Mortimer lead the way back to the Sands of Egypt, opening the door to let the girls through, and both he and Jack followed them down the stairs to the sandy area, almost positive that they could see faint movement under the sand from time to time.
Reaching the area, they saw that there were stepping stones sprinkled on top of the sand like toppings on top of a frosted birthday cake. Two simple pedestals stood a few stones away, and at the center of the clearing, three fancier pedestals, each one guarded by a statue of an Egyptian God, flanked an even fancier pedestal made of gold. The Mummy was standing guard over it all, and he looked as though he'd waited a thousand years for this night.
“Oh gosh,” said Justine as she, Dawn, and Tana made their way over the stepping stones while Mortimer and Jack remained by the edge of the sandy area, and she saw that there was a note waiting for them on one of the pedestals that they needed to place the twin sphinxes on. “Oh, there’s a note! Ok.”
Reaching the pedestals, Justine and Tana placed the sphinxes on them while the Adventurer picked up the note, and they saw a fancy gold scepter appear on the golden pedestal.
“Ok, I think we need that scepter to control the mummy,” Dawn guessed.
Tana figured that the brunette was right and she read the note. “‘The Scepter of Isis cannot be touched until one of you has built a pyramid in her name. Gather the pieces and assemble them. The first to do so can claim the scepter and command the mummy to retrieve the key. However, the mummy has cursed the sands with flesh-eating beetles, and you may only travel on the stones. Stepping on the sand or getting touched by the mummy will take you out of the challenge for ten seconds’.”
“Ok, that’s crazy,” said Justine, not liking the sound of the challenge at all. “Because those are very precious seconds.”
“And I rather not reenact any scenes of being eaten by flesh-eating beetles from The Mummy,” Dawn stated, cringing when one of the large scarab beetles surfaced briefly. “Yikes!”
Tana didn’t blame either girl for being uneasy, for she herself was feeling super uneasy, especially since she was having serious doubts of surviving the challenge. “Well, we all should just do the best we can,” she stated and they agreed as she set the note back down.
“Begin!” Mortimer called out, and all three girls went hopping along the stepping stones to locate the pieces for their pyramids while the Mummy began stalking around the area, trying to capture at least one of the girls, and he kept missing…for now.
Because of how the pieces were scattered, getting to them wasn’t that easy, but each girl did manage to find a piece each, despite the attempts of the Mummy trying to capture them, and almost falling off the stones themselves.
They also managed to get the pieces to the three pedestals before dodging the Mummy and headed back out to find more the pieces.
*****
Five minutes went by with the girls struggling to get around the stepping stones, avoiding the Mummy, which had managed to grab Tana at one point, costing her ten seconds, and getting the pieces back to the pedestals to assemble them.
Now both Justine and Dawn were starting to resemble pyramids, saved for the top pieces, while Tana’s look absolutely nothing like a pyramid, and none of the girls knew for sure how much time they had before the Mummy would just up and decide to kill all three of them.
*****
“No! Let go!” Dawn shrieked when she got grabbed from behind by the Mummy and dragged away. “Let go! Let go!” And when it finally did, she mentally counted to ten and then went back to searching for the final piece. “Stupid Mummy.”
“I can’t find the last piece!” Justine complained, positive that she’d searched just about everywhere in the immediate area, and had seen a fancy-looking knife lying on the base of one of the statues, but not the final piece.
Finding the final piece, Tana raced back to the pedestal and tried assembling the pyramid, making something odd, and shrieked when the Mummy grabbed her from behind and dragged her away to wait ten seconds.
Justine did take a peek to see what the Pin-up Girl had made and shook her head, confused. “Ok, like…she built that way wrong.”
Tana returned after the ten seconds were up, trying once again to build the pyramid. “How many blondes and brunettes does it take to build a pyramid?” she wondered, getting snickers from her two friends.
Dawn was searching for the final piece, and she just happened to find both hers and the one that the Adventurer needed. “Justine!” she called out, grabbing them both. “Over here! I got them!”
Justine raced across the stepping stones to reach the brunette and was thrilled. “Yes!” she cheered, taking one of the small pieces. “Come on!” And they both hurried back toward the pedestals to complete their pyramids.
*****
“Ok, ok,” Tana muttered, focused on the pieces of the pyramid, having taken it apart to try again, and this time, she put it together the right way and finished it. “Wait, I did it!”
Both Justine and Dawn froze, just two stones away from the pedestals, and they stared in stunned shock at the Pin-Up girl, who had been successful in building her pyramid. They exchanged uneasy looks, knowing that they had just lost, and the Mummy was going to kill them both.
Notes:
Uh oh! Uh oh! Uh oh! Are Justine and Dawn going to lose their lives?! You'll just have to wait until next week to see what will happen while I leave you all with an evil cliffy. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Bye for now! R&R everyone!

CHAPTER TWELVE: THREE LIVES, ONE DIES
*****
‘Did I just win?’ Tana wondered, admiring the pyramid that she’d built, and it was when both Justine and Dawn started screaming in terror as the Mummy began chasing after them, that she remembered what she had to do.
The Pin-up Girl ran to the pedestal that held the scepter and snatched it up just as the Mummy managed to grab both Justine and Dawn, and she held it high in the air, her hat falling off in the process. “Mummy, mummy, stop!” she commanded and it did stop, its’ arms wrapped around the two terrified girls. “Bring me the jeweled key!”
Much to the relief of Dawn and Justine, the Mummy released them and marched away, and Tana, having retrieved her hat, made her way over to them, creating a three-way-hug.
“Oh gosh, do you think all three of us will get to live?”
“I hope so.”
“Same here.”
They watched as the Mummy marched over to a fountain that had a large black/gold Sphinx in the center, and it raised one hand. Its’ hand glowed gold and before it, a large green box appeared, and the Mummy took it, carrying it to the remaining empty pedestal, where it sat the box down so that they could see that there was the jeweled key that they needed.
Ending the hug, Tana made her way over to the box and tried to open it, but found that it was locked. “Huh?” she wondered and found a note on top that she read, feeling her heart freeze and drop into her stomach. “‘Your betrayal is not yet complete. You must order the mummy to kill one of your friends if you wish to claim the key’.”
“Oh crap,” said Dawn, exchanging an uneasy look with Justine, having been in this kind of situation before, and she knew that whoever Tana chose to kill, it was going to eat at her soul for a very long time. “Tana…”
“No,” the Pin-up Girl protested, throwing down the note in disgust. “I'm not gonna order him to kill Justine or Dawn. Like, what kind of sick and twisted bullsh*t is that?”
Justine knew that Tana didn’t want to have either of them die, but she also knew how the game worked, and it was likely that if a decision wasn’t made soon, then all three of them would die. “Tana, I don’t blame you at all,” she told her fellow blonde. “Command the Mummy to kill me.”
“What no!” Dawn immediately protested, staring at the Adventurer in shock. “Justine, no!”
The Adventurer turned and fixed the brunette with a look. “Dawn, it hasto be me,” she insisted. “You need to live and stop The Collector. None of this is your fault, and I’m glad that both you and Joey came to save all of us.” She hugged the actress and then pushed her toward the edge of the sandy area. “Now, get out of here and survive.”
Dawn stumbled on the stepping stones, regained her balance, and turned back to go after her friend, but got pulled to safety by Mortimer and Jack. “No! Justine! Let me go!”
Justine turned to face the Mummy, and nodded to the Pin-up Girl. “Do it, Tana, it’s time.”
Tana felt her heart breaking as she gripped the specter and, ignoring Dawn’s pleas and protests, looked to the Mummy, which was waiting motionlessly nearby. “Mummy,” she said sadly, “I – I – I command you to kill Justine. ‘cause I just wanna go home.”
The Mummy suddenly turned toward Justine, its dead eyes were fixed on the Adventurer as it stomped across the sand toward her, crushing any beetles that were foolish enough to rise to the surface, and it started reaching for her.
Justine, however, wasn’t about to go down without a fight, something she hadn’t been able to do the first time she died, and she bolted toward the two statues to retrieve the knife she noticed earlier. She snatched it up, and she faced the Mummy head-on, plunging the knife into its chest repeatedly, forcing it back. “Die, you jerk! Die!”
Tana cheered her fellow blonde on, hoping that the Adventurer would be able to kill the Mummy, and that way she would get to live. “Get him, Justine! Get him!” And she could hear Dawn, Mortimer, and Jack cheering as well.
Justine kept attacking the Mummy, stabbing every part of the chest that she could reach, even stabbing it in the neck, forcing it backwards with each stab, and each time, golden energy would shoot out of its’ body. “If anyone is going to die!” she shouted. “It’s going to be you! Now die!”
For a few seconds, it looked like she was going to get out of her with her life – but the Mummy suddenly lunged forward, wrapping its’ hands around the Adventurer’s neck, forcing her back while squeezing.
Justine couldn’t breath, her vision was starting to go dark, and she was vaguely aware of Tana crying, Dawn screaming, and yet, she kept stabbing the Mummy until her hand went numb, resulting in the knife falling out of her hand.
‘This isn’t your fault, Donny,’ the Adventurer thought as things went black. ‘This was never your fault, and I will never blame you or Joey.’ And then everything went black and silent.
*****
Tana knew her heart was breaking with guilt as she rested her hand on her arms and the top of the box, weeping as the Mummy lowered Justine’s limp form onto the sand, and she laid there, looking as if she was just sleeping.
‘But she isn’t sleeping,’ the Pin-up Girl thought, wracked with guilt, especially since the brunette was sobbing into the front of Jack’s coat as he held her close, and even Mortimer was looking devastated, ‘she’s dead and it’s all my fault.’ She started when the box unlocked, and she was able to take the jeweled key out.
Gripping the jeweled key in one hand and the scepter in the other hand, Tana glared at the Mummy. “Mummy,” she ordered angrily, “go back to your sarcophagus. Now.” And she watched as the Mummy left the area.
Once it was gone, the blonde went over to Mortimer, Dawn, and Jack. “Dawn, I am sosorry,” she apologized, her voice cracking with shame and guilt. “This is on me. Justine’s death is on me.”
“No it’s not, Tana,” Dawn said, pulling away from the former time agent to look at her friend. “This isn’t on you. If anything, this is on The Collector for bringing you all here in the first place, this is on the Sorceress for tricking Joey into activating the Armageddon Clock, and no matter what it takes, I’m going to find a way to get Justine back from wherever her soul ends up. This is the last time we go through this hell.”
“Well, you can count on me to help,” said Tana, giving the brunette a tight hug. “Now, we better get back to the others and let them know.”
The actress nodded and they all left the Sands of Egypt for the final time. Had they stayed, they would’ve seen Justine’s body glow an eerie green color and transformed into an orb of green light, and it flew away into a different part of the museum.
Where did Justine’s soul go? And what did it have to do with the final death mentioned in the letter?
Notes:
RIP Justine, at least you got to go down fighting this time. When I first saw this episode, I hadn't expected Justine to be the first one to be eliminated, and at that time, I hadn't known about the whole issues with a certain YouTuber despite picking up on the fact that there was tension among the group that even I picked up on from the start.
And as for what happened to Justine's body after her death, well… I have a theory, but I'm not going to reveal it just yet. Bye for now! R&R everyone!

CHAPTER THIRTEEN: THE FIRST KEY
*****
Meanwhile in the lounge, the group was waiting to see who would be returning from the final death challenge, and Joey asked Colleen if he could talk to her for a minute.
Colleen wasn’t too keen on talking with Joey one-on-one, but she didsee this as her chance to chew him out for voting for her and causing her death.
“Colleen,” said the Savant, after moving away from the group, “I’m really sorry about what happened in Everlock, for forcing you into the Maiden of Madness, and I had no idea that you were pregnant at the time. Had I know, I never would’ve invited you on that mission.”
Colleen was wrong-footed by the apology, but she could tell that Joey really meant it. “Thanks,” she said. “And you should know that Gabbie was the one who was insisting on voting for Dawn, claiming it was for her to have a chance to prove herself, and yet I had a strong feeling that Gabbie had a different reason for voting for Dawn.”
“Like what?” Joey asked, curious.
Before Colleen could answer, DeStorm called out to them, having been examining the Armageddon Clock. “I don't know if y'all realize this,” he informed the group while pointing at the clock, “but the damn Armageddon Clock is at twelve midnight now. Last time we was here, it was at ten o'clock. The sun comes up at six o' clock in the morning, which means that this thing is gonna turn all of us to dust. Well, all of you to dust," he corrected himself, "cause I'm not dying.”
Ro was getting scared and fanned herself with her gloves while taking off her white coat, feeling hot and scared. “Ok. I need to breathe.”
“Now isn’t the time to be selfish, DeStorm,” said Benny. “None of us here want to die, so get off your high horse.”
The Enforcer opened his mouth to retort, but stopped when the outside doors opened, and Mortimer, Jack, Dawn, and Tana all entered with the pink Pin-up Girl holding a jeweled key in her hand.
“Tana? Dawn? What happened?” Joey asked, shocked and confused since Justine wasn’t with them, and that meant that she was dead…again. And he could tell from the expression on the brunette’s face, it’d been brutal.
“I won the challenge,” Tana explained, choosing not to be cocky after what she’d just witness, “and in order to get the key itself, I had to order the Mummy to kill either Justine or Dawn, and Justine insisted on it being her. She went down fighting though, Justine grabbed a knife, and she fought the Mummy, almost getting him. She went out as a warrior and a hero.”
“Is that what really happened?” Bretman asked, and it didn’t really make sense to him, given what he’d been told about the death challenges of the first three incidents.
Dawn nodded, removing her glasses to keep them from getting dirty when she started tearing up. “Yeah, Justine insisted on keeping me alive,” she confirmed. “I – I couldn’t save her, and I really wanted to.”
“Where did she go?” Ro wondered.
“She's in Hell!" Gabbie exclaimed, startling the group. "The paper said Hell! We'll be sent to Hell forever!”
The brunette shook her head, wiping her eyes and put her glasses back on. “No it didn’t, Gabbie. Justine isn’t in Hell. That’s what will happen if we don’t get out of here before six am.”
“No, I know that I’m right,” the Hollywood Star insisted. “The note said hell, and that’s where Justine has gone.”
Dawn rolled her eyes and pulled out the note that’d been on the back of the picture, quietly rereading until she found the right passage.
“Listen. ‘To retrieve them, you must unravel the evil mysteries of her museum and vote on two or three who must undertake a challenge that will end in a final death, for which there is no return’. That’s what it says, and there’s no mention of hell, Gabbie. You’re thinking of the note that was with the Armageddon Clock.”
Gabbie blinked. “Oh…ok…” But she still didn’t look entirely convinced.
“Besides, somehow I doubt that The Collector is just going to let our souls go to either heaven or hell after working so hard on collecting you guys,” the actress added.
“I’m with Dawn,” Esther agreed. “Based on all the stories that I’d heard concerning The Collector, it’s unlikely that Justine has gone to hell, and for all we know, The Collector could have some kind of storage area where she’s keeping the souls of our still-missing friends, and that’s where Justine’s soul could’ve ended up.”
Tana held up the jeweled key, reminding them that she still had it. “Anyway, here’s the first key for the vault. Should I put it in?” she asked.
Colleen didn’t think that it was a good idea. “Wait, do you guys understand what's about to happen?” she asked the group. “As soon as she puts that in there, one of the exhibits is gonna get unleashed.”
“Is that what happens?" Tim asked. "What else could it be?”
“Ok, Justine didn't die for nothing," Joey reminded them. "Just put it in the slot.”
Knowing that the Savant was right, Tana went to the vault, inserted the key into the first lock, which matched the jewel, and she turned it, making the lock start glowing.
A nearby box popped open, startling the group, and they gathered around as Alex reached inside, and he pulled out a gold coin that had some kind of inscription written on it. “What is it? Can you guys see what it is?”
Gabbie took a closer look. “It looks like bones…”
The Aviator glanced over at the windows, where he could see that fog was starting to form. “Oh, whoa, look at the…look at the fog!” He gave the coin to Joey and went to the door, which he opened – and the next thing he knew, he was being choked by a freaking bird!
To Be Continued…

Notes:
Yikes! Save Alex!
Now, I want to clear up a few things: I did tone down Tana's cockiness since I found it a little inconsiderate so soon after losing Justine, and while I don't know if Gabbie forgot about the second note or not, but those who died in the final death challenges weren't going to Hell, just a final death. It's the note from the clock that hints toward them ending up in Hell if they can't get out of the museum before 6 am.
And after watching the first two episodes for ETN 4, I started coming up with a theory that I will share just a bit with you: Now, given how The Collector clearly had to work hard to collect the souls of the fallen YouTubers, with only a handful of them being put into the exhibit and the rest stored away in that jar that Liza found, and I suspected that The Collector wasn't going to just let the souls head to heaven or hell. Instead, I believe that the souls all end up in that jar with the rest, for I don't see The Collector willingly giving up on any soul she worked so hard on collecting to cross over into either heaven or hell.
Of course, this is just a theory that I've been working on, and yet, for me it makes sense. Anyway, I will see you all for the next episode to see whether Alex survives his encounter with that freaky bird or not. Bye for now! R&R everyone!
