Work Text:
When the day of the event finally arrived the staff woke up at 4 in the morning to get Kinn ready. The event was scheduled at 7 and had to wrapped up quickly and in order for that to happen they had to make sure it went by smooth.
The tailor had delivered the outfit 2 days in prior of the event. The fitting was immaculate, the sign of perfect art.
The flowers were ready and so was the music. The wedding altar had been decorated with grandeur.
Soon enough the family members got up and started dressing in their suits while Korn checked up once on Kinn to make sure he was being dressed properly.
It was supposed to be quite formal and plain but Tankhun had insisted that the event should go just now Kinn had wanted. He had spent months planning it with Porsche. His special day had to be completely perfect.
Guests were to be dressed in formal suits while they both had designed their traditional garments themselves. Porsche had wanted the venue to be decorated with roses but Kinn had made a last minute change without informing Porsche and had added sunflowers instead which were Porsche's favourite.
It all looked very bright and beautiful. Just as they both had imagined.
The makeup artists were very careful with their work and the staff was done putting Kinn in the outfit. Initially Kinn had wanted very light makeup but that just wasn't possible because they had to use lots of foundation and colour corrector to hide some marks on his face.
After they were done Kinn was escorted outside. All the guards and other staff members held their breath when they saw him. He looked absolutely ethereal. All signs of the stress and past mental breakdowns gone. He had been so stressed before the event but now he was glowing.
When he entered the venue his family stood up to welcome his arrival. The priest present their chanted prayers to bless him and he was led up to the altar where pictures of him and Porsche together were kept decorated amongst gorgeous flowers.
Lots of prayers, chanting and rituals after the event was almost close to completion. One by one his family members said a few words for him, all except Kim who as always wasn't willing to speak out.
Then finally his older brother went up. He was yet to receive credit for his preparation after all.
"I have brought in a paper with me today with a few lines I wanted to speak out... Please pardon me if I fumble. I couldn't really think of much to put down here. It took me a lot of effort to write this and I swear I did this without anyone's help. This is entirely by thoughts and blessings for my brother Kinn and Porsche.
Everyone was against me when I wanted to make a few changes to the decorations but I knew what my brother wanted the most. Today as he finally bonds himself with Porsche leaving us all behind he carries with him several bouquets of sunflowers that he wanted to gift Porsche. In his pocket there's a letter he wrote to Porsche describing all his love on a piece of paper and I know he wants to hand it over to Porsche himself.
Even with high fever and shaky hands he penned down everything last night and kept it beside his outfit. He has a box with a pendant in it that he wanted to gift to Porsche after the wedding ceremony was done. They both definitely left with a lot of unfulfilled wishes" .
Kinn's entire world used to light up whenever he watched Porsche's face light up with a soft smile as he excitedly planned things for their wedding.
He wanted it to be a blend of both their tastes. He was even working twice as much to make sure nothing urgent came up on their special day.
Every night he used to kiss Kinn and hug him happily while feeling deeply content. All the burden he had carried in his entire life was finally leaving him and he was getting a chance to start a new life for himself with the man he had loved so deeply.
To see that happiness and sincerity in Porsche's eyes brought infinite peace to Kinn because he knew that he was finally in a place where he was going to be loved unconditionally.
It was all just so perfect. They were so close to getting their dream life. Why did it all have to crash down the way it did?
Kinn's blood had run cold when he had recieved the call about Porsche being shot. The assasin had managed to get away with absolutely no trace.
He had watched helplessly while fighting back tears while the man struggled in hospital while choking on his own blood. He was panicking because he could hear Kinn but for some reason wasn't able to see him anymore, perhaps due to the blood loss.
"Will you wait for me Kinn?"
He had somehow managed to let these words out before everything went dead silent except the machine letting out a high pitched sound. The doctors made futile attempts to bring him back to consciousness but to no avail.
His Porsche was gone. His dreams were gone.
"I'll always wait"
He finally spoke those words before letting out a dry laugh. The funeral happened so swiftly that he barely remembered any of it. The day of his wedding was approaching rapidly and he knew that he was going to be standing alone on that altar now. His love had left him.
The ring on his finger felt like a lie and the promises Porsche had made to always stay by his side felt like like hurtful lies.
For days he couldn't even fully register that Porsche was really gone. He had to take the man's clothes and other things out and place them in boxes before putting them away.
Suddenly all traces of life and warmth were gone from his room and he was stuck in a cold prison.
He cried, begged, yelled and brought gifts but Porsche was too upset with him to talk to him anymore.
He no longer woke him up with hugs or described how his day went. There were no more fresh flowers in the vase and he had re learn how to sleep alone.
He drank like a maniac but even that didn't bring him even the slightest hallucination of Porsche back.
Then he recieved the outfit. Porsche's outfit had been done in advance and he was buried with it while Kinn sat holding his.
A bitter smile spread across his face as he accidentally dropped the glass of alcohol on the floor before getting up to leave.
He had slipped on the split drink and pieces of glass had cut deep into his skin before he somehow managed to step outside stinking of alcohol and blood.
He went to Porsche's grave and sat there. The cold marble was somehow warmer than anything else. He happily repeated his vows before collapsing there and sobbing like a hurt child.
His location had been traced and he was brought back and locked inside his room to make sure he couldn't escape.
He had managed to leave though. They had found him in the bathroom in a pool of semi dried blood and a blade.
He had left to search for his Porsche.
"Kinn went just where his heart belonged. He couldn't stay with us no matter what. I'm happy I could give them both this little ceremony as their wedding. Now it's upto Kinn to find his love and convince him to accept those sacred vows"
He was buried within the next few hours right beside his Porsche to stay handcuffed to him for eternity.
