Chapter 1: A Suffocating Reunion
Summary:
Fleta Z isn't having a nice day, but a reunion with his carrier only makes it worse.
Chapter Text
Fleta Z is currently in a tough place, after all the events, Megatron kidnapping Blue Cop, Shockwave's experiments on Shadow X and Mega Trucker, Blue Cop and Jun's experiences with MECH, all of these have taken a toll on him. He takes Anna and himself away from the bots to get away from the chaos and get some peace for once. Once while flying in the sky he notices another plane following close behind him
He's cautious at first, not immediately recognizing it due to how long it's been since he's seen them, but the moment he does he's shocked. What is she doing here!? In this universe?! He lands on the ground and Sky Gallop follows. They both transform and Fleta Z puts himself between Sky Gallop and Anna. He's not too sure on what Sky Gallop's plans are anymore. It has been a while since he's seen his carrier and they didn't exactly part on good terms
Sure, Sky Gallop was a good carrier. Making sure he lived and encouraging his interests, but it was too much sometimes. He'd call her a kind of helicopter parent, he heard the kids use that term before and he found it fit. Every moment of the cycle she wanted to know what he was doing and where he was. She did love him, he knows that, but it never felt like it. Soon more and more arguments broke out and Fleta Z rebelled against her. He became a bounty hunter, a job he was more than good at to escape her
The last time they talked it was over his profession. She didn't like that he was doing that, she wanted him to stop. She demanded he stop. But by this point Fleta Z didn't want to listen, so many times her concern and love felt suffocating and he was through with it. His sire, Blastrain, tried to be a pacemaker between the two, but it was no use. After he left, they divorced Sky Gallop blaming Blastrain for encouraging his wandering which lead to the bounty hunting
And now here they were, in another universe and living new lives apart from one another. What would she do? Sky Gallop for her part looked shocked that Fleta Z was there. When she was brought to this universe she had only seen the bots she came with, Sparkbeat and Flashvector. She never thought she would see her sparkling again especially in this situation. At first she thought she was dreaming, but she could never forget her child, no matter how much time has past
She steps forward and held servo out as she questions, "Fleta Z?" Softly, not quite believing her optics. Fleta Z gives a tense nod and questions back, "What do you want Sky Gallop and why are you here" hardly. Anna looks between the two, confused on who the new bot was and how he knew her. "I, I don't know how I got here, but that doesn't matter. Why are you here?" Turning the question back and not answering the other, she takes in the sight of him
He looks tired, that's what she sees first. 'What happened' She wonders. And then she sees the girl, narrowing her optics at her. 'Why is a human girl with him? We aren't near any cities or towns, so why did he bring her?' Sky Gallop is pulled from her thoughts as Fleta Z responds, "I suppose we are similar in that regard, I have not an idea on how I ended up here." Fleta Z relaxed a bit, Sky Gallop seemed calm
Seeing this Sky Gallop takes a chance and moves a bit closer, still keeping her distance. "While that is concerning, seeing you after so long is much more important to me." She confessed. "Fleta Z," A voice whispered, he almost forgot Anna, "How do you know her?" She whispered as she stared at Sky Gallop from the corner of her eye. Before he could answer, the other bot intervened. "I am his carrier and who are you?" She answered, focusing her attention on Anna
Fleta Z tensed at this and drew Anna back a bit. Sky Gallop noticed, " Why are you so tense Fleta? Do you not trust me?" Fleta Z scoffed, the previous emotions he bottled up from the latest events in this world getting to him. "Why should I? After our last 'talk' I thought you wanted nothing to do with me." She flinched at that, remembering her words. Her anger in the moment had gotten to her and she had let out some things she regrets
"I apologize Fleta, I promise you I never meant to say that." Fleta Z glanced away for a moment before looking back, hardening his gaze. "Are you truly sorry or are you just sorry for letting me know your true feelings?" Sky Gallop looked taken back by that, "Fleta, those weren't my tru-" "They weren't!?" He interrupted, "Your actions spoke much louder than any words, carrier!" He hissed
Sky Gallop flinched back at that, standing still for a moment before putting a foot forward with a look of irritation across her face. "My actions were to keep you safe! I never meant to make you feel like you weren't loved." She evenly spoke. And Fleta Z knew that, but love can mean nothing without understanding. And she never truly understood him
"You," He pointed a digit at her, "kept me locked up! The only times I felt free was when my sire took me out to drive alongside me as I flew!" Fleta Z spat at her. "You didn't do anything for me." He finished
His carrier looked at him in displeasure, she didn't say anything, afraid of what she'd say if she did. She did everything for him, everything and he went to become a bounty hunter. Putting himself in untold amounts of danger. How? How could her love be considered nothing to him?
The two stared at each other, waiting for one to break. But it was instead broken by the forgotten spectator, Anna. "Fleta Z!" She yelled, startling the two bots. "Don't you remember? We need to find Blue Cop, yeah!?" She questioned, staring intently at him. He took the hint, "Yes Anna, you're right. Thank you for reminding me, it honestly slipped my mind." He turned his gaze to Sky Gallop
"If you excuse me, I do have places to be. I am quite a busy mech." He said, turning around and taking flight. "Fleta-" Her words were cut off as the two took to the sky, her arm outstretched towards them. She didn't follow, she stared until he became nothing but a speck in the sky. She let her arm fall as she stared at the ground
What had happened between the two, what had happened to her sparkling in this world, who was the girl, and could their relationship be fixed? Thoughts like these swarmed her mind, but she wouldn't get an answer
Chapter 2: A Conductor's Kidnapping

Chapter Text
Blastrain has gotten used to the constant stealing of his conductor, he honestly expects it by this point. The conductor stealing happened a lot when Fleta Z was little. He had to hide the conductor on several occasions because of how much sparkling Fleta Z stole him
Blastrain wishes he didn't have to go through this scenario over and over again, but atlas he does. And what scenario is that? Well the kidnapping of his conductor of course!
Flyers are known to steal/kidnap drones because of their hoarding tendencies. This became such a big problem that laws came about outlawing it, but that of course doesn't stop them from doing it.
It also doesn't help that his conductor is much more decorated than drones. Making it much more desirable to flyers. It's not even the first time this has happened. The first time it happened he was spooked the first time it happened.
Being able to see, hear, and feel anything his conductor did made it even worse. It was a disorientating feeling, being in two very different places at once. But now he barely flinches when it happens.
Driving along his tracks he comes upon the sight of a mountain with bits and pieces of Machinasium doting it. His conductor is somewhere in or around the mountain. He needs to reestablish the connection with his conductor to figure out where exactly he is.
Whenever this happens he shuts off most of the connection between them so he doesn't have that disorientating feeling. As he gets closer he reestablishes the connection to find him
"Look how cute you are~" A voice cooed startling him. 'That must be the flyer." He thought. He didn't get a good look at them when the kidnapping happened, but the flyer did have white covering most of their frame.
Switching to the conductor's vision for a moment he finally gets a good view of the kidnapper. A large flyer with white and black covering most of their frame, alongside with green, gold, and red accents. He met her green optics which showed delight.
"Just look at you! How could a drone be so absolutely utterly adorable!" She exclaimed, patting his head with a digit. She smiled with her optics as she took him in. "Aaawwww, I can't believe I was so lucky to find you!"
Blastrain switched his vision to his main form, optics pink and he remembered what she said. He knows she wasn't truly talking to him, but it didn't change anything.
Finally, he spots the entrance to what he assumes to be the nest. He drives up to the entrance, stops outside, and transforms. He then announces himself. "Excuse me, ma'am." He called out using his intercom, "I apologize for intruding on your nest, but you do have my conductor."
Nothing happened for a moment before the flyer came out of the nest. Tense and ready for a fight, he really hoped they wouldn't fight. It was never nice when he had to in order to get his conductor back.
"Who are you?" Cutting to the chase, she glared at him. Blastrain didn't let it get to him, "Once again, I apologize for intruding on your nest, but the drone you have is my conductor and I would like him back, please."
She stared at him before asking, "Your conductor?" Nodding Blastrain continues, "Yes ma'am. My conductor, the drone you have, is actually another version of myself. May I please have him back?"
She seems dumbfounded before pink rises to her optics. "Another version of you?" Pointing to him for clarification. "Yes ma'am." She looks down at the conductor in her hands, "Does, does that mean.." She trailed off
Understanding what she was getting at he nodded once more. "Yes, I do know everything about what happens to my conductor." Her optics had gone from pink to red, she looked back and forth between the two. Seeing the similarities between the two
"Oh- I'm so sorry. I-I didn't know, I wouldn't have if I did." She hurriedly handed the conductor back to him, looking away as she does so. "It's quite alright. You're not the first to make the same mistake." He reassured.
He checked the conductor to make sure he was in good condition, and thankfully he was. The tension which lined his frame left him after that confirmation. "Again, I'm so sorry. I never meant to do so."
Blastrain looked up at her, "And like I've said it's fine. You didn't even try to fight me." She looked startled at his last comment. "Fight? People have fought you over this?" She questioned.
Sighing he nods, "Yes, one flyer wasn't too happy about it and I had to retreat after getting my conductor." She laughs at that, "Must have been an event!" "Why it certainly was!" He agrees.
The two laugh a bit before she asks, "Well, I still feel guilty for causing you so much trouble. May I make it up to you?" Blastrain shakes his head, "There really is no need-" " No, no, please I insist. May I buy some fuel for you? Coming out all this way must have taken a bit out of you."
He did burn up some fuel coming out this way, he was worried for his conductor. Seeing the losing battle he relents, "Hah, Yes you may. But before that happens may I know your name? Oh! Forgive me for not introducing myself! I am Blastrain."
She looks him in the optics and answers, "My name is Sky Gallop. It's a pleasure to meet you, Blastrain."

Did you know that if your on a phone you have to copy each paragraph from Tumblr one at a time and can't do it all at once? Yeah, it's insane.
The only laptop I have is my school laptop and I refuse to open Tumblr on that
Chapter 3: "Little Bird, what happened?"
Summary:
Fleta Z finally gets a moment of rest with his sire
Chapter Text
The only reason Fleta Z hadn’t snapped under the pressure was the years of practice he had as a bounty hunter. Needing to stay quietly in one spot for hours on end, not moving an inch, waiting for his target. Waiting for the right moment to strike. That was the only reason he seemed so calm at the moment.
Even though he wanted to scream into the skies. If he was alone he would have done it, but he wasn’t. He had Anna with him, and he couldn’t cause her any distress. She already had enough stress. He couldn’t add on to that.
At the current moment, he had found an abandoned military outpost and decided to take a rest there. It was mostly for Anna’s sake. He saw the way she kept dozing off even if she denied it. She tried to protest, but it fell on deaf ears because she went to sleep the moment she could rest.
He quietly chuckles at that. There was a reason why he liked Anna so much, she had a fire in her and wouldn’t back down from anything. Just like Jun- Anyway, he turns to look back towards the night sky.
The stars weren’t ones he remembered back on Machina. He spent many nights just watching the stars to know what stars and constellations were which. In his early days, when he was still with his sire and carrier, his sire would take him out to the night sky and show him the different constellations. Explaining each one and the stories behind them. He even let Fleta Z fly up there to try and touch the stars, it never worked of course, but the feeling of it was one he still remembered all these years later.
He had to learn all over again when he arrived on Earth. All the stories he once learned were useless, none of them could apply to the stars he now saw. But when he first got the phone, he looked up all he could on constellations and learned about each one of them. By the time he met Jun, he could tell you all about the night sky. The internet really was a gift.
But now the sky looked different, as if shifted to the right. The stars were still there, like they were on his Earth, but not quite right. He really was in another world, huh?
He was pulled out of his thoughts by hearing… a train? He looked around him. Why would a train be in the desert? He didn’t even see any railroads when he checked the perimeter. He stood up, on guard, shifting himself to be closer to Anna to protect her. She stirred a bit, but went silent once more.
He focused his sights on the area where the sounds were coming from. And there he saw a train, but not a normal one. The tracks it was on seemed to be coming from the train itself and were green in color, lighting up the surrounding area.
It couldn’t be. But if Sky Gallop was here then surely he could be too. He sent a quick glance to Anna, resting on her side now instead of her back, and took off flying in the direction of the train.
He caught up quickly enough, it wasn’t difficult to, and when he got close enough he saw the train’s front windows light up. Green optics looked at him in surprise and he slammed on his brakes. “Fleta Z?!” So it was him, not like it was hard to tell. “Sire” he said as he landed next to him. His sire, Blastrain, transformed into his root mode. Without the extra train cars, making Fleta Z the taller one.
It was a bit of relief to see his sire again. Even though his relationship with Sky Gallop wasn’t the.. Best, the same couldn’t be said with Blastrain. He loved his sire, he always supported him and didn’t suffocate him in their so called ‘love’. He was always the peacemaker. Even when he became a bounty hunter and Sky Gallop wanted nothing to do with him, his sire always made sure that no matter what he would always welcome Fleta Z with open arms.
He never took him up on that offer.
But now with his sire standing right in front of him, it was hard to not just fall into his arms. Especially with how elated he looked to see Fleta Z standing in front of him.
“Fleta? Is that truly you my little bird?” Blastrain walked up to Fleta Z and put his hands on Fleta Z’s shoulders. “It, it is you!” His sire’s optics lit up, looking directly at him as if he was a treasure from Deus Machina herself.
He missed his sire so much.
“I haven’t seen you in so long. Is everything fine? Are you okay?” Fleta Z honestly forgot how much his sire cared for him. It almost hurts to have that care once more. “Your frame is filled with scratches! And you’re covered in dust and sand!” Blastrain began looking all about Fleta’s frame. “We need to get you somewhere to clean you off, and don’t worry about the scratches, I know how to fix those easily.”
Fleta Z knows his sire does. When he was little, he would constantly sneak out to get away from Sky Gallop, to fly in the skies without someone constantly telling to go lower, or go slower. He will admit, sometimes Sky Gallop’s warnings would come in handy. When he snuck back in the house he would be covered in scratches and his sire would always catch him.
He never got mad like Sky Gallop did. Instead he would just sigh as he saw Fleta Z freeze up in getting caught and motion him to come closer. Then he would give him a lecture, said in the soft tone he always talked to Fleta with, while he would fix the scratches and clean him up. After that Fleta Z always told him whenever he was heading out, he knew his sire wouldn’t be like Sky Gallop. Always wondering where he was going and always judging who his friends were, even if they were saints.
He had blocked out his sire ramblings and just fell into his arms, catching him in a hug. Blastrain froze for a moment, a barely noticeable moment, and returned the hug tenfold. “Little bird? Somethings wrong, something happened, right?”
He always knew. Even after all these years apart, his sire always knew when something was wrong. He started shaking and gripped his sire tighter. It was so long since he last saw him. After the last fight with Sky Gallop, he never stopped Fleta in becoming a bounty hunter. Only telling him to be careful and to, please, give him a sign that Fleta Z was fine. Fleta Z agreed, and would always play his flute to let him know.
Blastrain had started caressing his helm, moving his hand up and down. “Little Bird, what happened?” And, Deus Machina, after everything that happened, all the pain and torment he had gone through in this universe, that small pet name and that question broke him.
He cried, he sobbed.
He had been keeping in all the stress, all the pain, all the turmoil inside him. But he knew everything would be okay with his sire around. He could cry like a little sparkling again and his sire would only hold him tighter like he was doing now.
His sire held him so tight, whispering reassures in his audials, as he moved both of them to sit on the ground. He never let go of him for a moment.
He didn’t know how long he sobbed, he only knew he felt so tired by the end of it. His helm fell with a thunk to rest on his sire’s shoulder. “You can sleep, Little Bird. I promise, I will not go anywhere.” His sire nuzzled his helm. He wanted to rest, he really did, but he left Anna alone for too long.
“A-Anna” his voice had static around the edges, how hard did he cry? “You have a friend?” Fleta nodded sluggishly. Blastrain hummed, “Show me where they are and I’ll take you to them.” His sire easily picked him up bridal style, he forgot how strong he was in his base form, and went over to the direction Fleta pointed to.
Finally the outpost came into view and he could see Anna sleeping still, on her other side this time curled up. His sire quietly went on the other side of Anna and sat down, still holding his sparkling in his arms.
“Please rest, Little Bird. I promise I’ll keep an optic on both of you.” His sire reassured. Fleta Z only got halfway through nodding before he closed his optics. He fell asleep listening to his sire hum an old tune.
Chapter 4: A Thoughtful Reunion
Summary:
Sky Gallop is still hung up on her and Fleta Z's last talk, her ex showing up only makes things worse.
Chapter Text
Sky Gallop has been flying in the sky for the past 8 hours.
She knows she should land sometime soon, there isn’t enough fuel in the desert to easily refuel, but she can’t help it. After her last interaction with her sparkling with Fleta Z her processor was full of thoughts.
“"Why should I? After our last 'talk' I thought you wanted nothing to do with me."”
How could he think that? She knows how After everything she had done for him?! She was always there for him! She always made sure he was okay. More than okay! He had anything he could possibly want!
Any items which caught his optic would be his, any fuel he wanted to taste she would get for him. She gave him a wonderful spacious place to live. One of the rooms was even so big that anyone could fly in it without touching the ceiling! She had given him more than enough and this is how she’s thanked?!
She exvented heavily.
Fleta Z showed his gratitude for all her hard work by rebelling against her! Constantly sneaking out without her knowing, hanging out with all kinds of people she didn’t approve of, and even got into bounty hunting! Bounty Hunting!! Are you kidding her?!
She closes her optics, hoving in place in the sky. Trying to calm down, working herself up about this isn’t any good. She soon vents out as her optics open.
Even though she never imagined she would be living on another planet, she had to admit the sunsets on this planet were beautiful. The yellows, oranges, reds, and pinks made a masterpiece she couldn’t replicate even if she spent the rest of her life painting. She found a cliff and floated down until she could sit down on it.
She needed a rest.
A moment to just take in the sights.
It wasn’t like her to get so worked up about something, but she guesses Fleta Z could do that to her.
With that thought she drifts back to him. She truly loved her little spark. The moment she laid her optics on him, a tiny thing reaching out for her, she knew she would always protect and care for him. And she did. She always watched out for him, was always there for him. Even when he thought she didn’t need to, she knew that he was wrong. He wasn’t wrong, you were suffocating him. Young mechs always tried to go out on their own when they’re too young, she was just protecting him.
Blastrain was always too soft on Fleta Z. Which didn’t come as a surprise, he was always too soft, it sometimes made her sick. No it didn’t, that was one of the reasons why she loved him. He would always let Fleta Z get away with things.
Anything which was bad for Fleta Z, Blastrain would just shrug it off! Telling her her little spark needed to spread his wings. That she was hurting him in trying to help him. Which was insane! How is that even possible?! It wasn’t!
Liar
Growling, she picked up a piece of rock and hurled it at the setting sun. She was about to fly off again, to try to clear her helm even though it didn’t work last time, when she heard the rock hit something metal. A loud thunk resonated through the area before she heard a cry of pain.
Whipping back to see who she hit she saw a train.
A black and red train with gold accents.

Oh Deus Machina, that was Blastrain wasn’t it?
While she debated the pros and cons of talking to him, Blastrain turned to look at what hit him and saw his ex. Surprise course through his frame, but it wasn’t as surprising as it would have been. Fleta Z had told him about his recent interaction with his carrier, so her being in the area wasn’t as much of a shock and it was actually finding her.
And not even on purpose, he might add.
“Sky Gallop?” He questioned as he made his tracks appear in her direction. He should talk to her, especially if she had talked to Fleta Z recently. Especially because that talk didn’t go well.
Sky Gallop sighed as she turned around to face him. She decided to just get it over with. The sooner the two of them talk, the sooner the two could part again.
“Blastrain, I apologize for hitting you with a rock. It wasn’t my intention and I didn’t notice you, sorry.” She bowed a bit to show she meant it.
Blastrain chuckled and transformed once he reached her, in his combined form this time. You could have fooled him, since their last talk wasn’t good as well. “I accept your apology, Sky Gallop. I know that there wasn’t any harm in it.”
“Hmm” She stood back up to her full height and the two of them stared at each other for a while. What do you say in this situation? It wasn’t like either of them expected to see each other. And even if they did have something memorized, what good would it have done?
Blastrain cleared his throat, a trait he picked up from the conductor, and spoke, “Sky Gallop, it’s wonderful to see you again, it truly is, but we have to talk.” Sky Gallop invented and looked back at the sunset. It was almost past the horizon now.
“Talk, Blastrain? About what if I may ask?” She knew that he knew. She was just trying to prolong the inevitable. She knew that if they did talk about it, it would end in arguing again. Like it did every other time.
“About your most recent talk with Fleta Z,” He always got to the point, “From what I heard, it didn’t end well.”
She scowled at that, she knew it didn’t end well. He didn’t need to say that, her own processor remembered enough. You know he didn’t mean it that way.
“Yes, I am aware of how it went, Blastrain. No need to remind me.” She said quickly. Blastrain raised his arms up in a surrender motion. “I never meant anything bad about that. I’m sorry if it came off that way.”
She hissed a bit, “I know that.” Her conversation with Fleta Z was still on her after all this time. “"Are you truly sorry or are you just sorry for letting me know your true feelings?"” It was affecting her more than she thought. Blastrain looked at her with concern.
“Are you alright? If you're not then we can continue this conversation another time.” And he always said that, didn't he? He always knew when she wasn’t feeling well. Always. Blastrain got closer to her, reaching a hand out. Probably to comfort her, like he always did. “"Your actions spoke much louder than any words, carrier!"”
She slapped the hand away.
Blastrain startled at this, but quickly put his arm down by his side again. “Sorry.” He said quickly, she must have really startled him.
“It’s,” It wasn’t fine, nothing about her was fine, “It’s nothing, forget about it.” Blastrain nodded, clasping his hands together in front of him, but still looked at her in concern. Even more so than before.
Deus Machina, why did he always have to ruin everything? It’s you, you're the problem. You know it, so then why? Why won’t you just accept it?
“"You kept me locked up! The only times I felt free was when my sire took me out to drive alongside me as I flew!"”
She never wanted any of this to happen. All she wanted to do was to live the rest of her life, happily with her family. Being able to cuddle and kiss her conjux. Being able to nurture and watch her sparkling grow. Being able to live her life peacefully.
“"You didn't do anything for me."”
She needed to leave.
Blastrain being here only made things worse. That was the reason why Fleta Z rebelled. You know it’s not. Why he left her and became a bounty hunter. You know it's not. And why she left Blastrain in the end. YOU KNOW IT’S NOT.
She turned around, it seemed like Blastrain had been trying to get her attention, and flew off. She ignored his calls, she ignored the heart broken look on his face. She ignored him entirely and just flew off.
She left.
You were always good at pushing people away, weren't you?
Chapter 5: Anna's Thoughts
Summary:
Anna's thoughts on the current situation with Fleta-Z and his parents.

Chapter Text
She wanted to go home.
She wanted to go home so badly.
She wanted to wake up in her bed and go down to the dinning room to eat breakfast with her Father. She’d go off to school after telling her Father she’d loved him and he’d give her a kiss on her forehead, telling her he’d loved her more.
She’d go off to school, meeting up with Vera on the way. They talk on their way to school, Vera talking about the Metal Cardbots and how she plans to expose them and she entertaining her words while not telling her the truth.
They’ll arrive at school earlier and they’ll talk with her classmates and friends. Barnes and Ravi would be sharing their insane stories about the monsters they’ve come across. Vera would be trying to get more information for them while Jun and Theo discredited them. They would get into a petty argument over it before the teacher would come in and settle the class down.
They would go throughout the school day before the three of them would head to Edo’s shop. There they would have fun with the Metal Cardbots, she got along best with Fleta-Z and Dexter. She would listen to Fleta-Z’s music and listen to him teach her how to play the flute. It was a bit difficult at first, he didn’t need to breathe, but she was able to play along with him on the simpler songs.
She would play with Dexter’s cats, the two of them cooing over them. When one of them got pregnant, she’d helped him get all the necessary supplies to help the mother through it. She even took the mother to the vet to get her checked out, Dexter was very thankful for it.
That was months ago. She wonders what happened to the mother, she hopes she’s ok.
Now she’s in another universe, in another country, facing dangers she’d never thought of before. She’s scared. She wants her Dad. She wishes he was here so badly. She wants him to wrap her up in a tight hug, be able to feel the love, and tell her everything is okay, that they’re fine.
But he’s not here.
She only has Fleta-Z at the moment. And even though she loves her friend, he’s not a replacement for her Dad. No one could be.
She sighs, brushing her hair with her hands, trying to get it under control. She glances at the new Metal Cardbot out of the corner of her eye. When she woke up a little while ago she was bewildered to see him. She would have screamed for Fleta-Z if it wasn’t for the fact he was resting in the stranger’s lap. Recharging so soundly, so peacefully, something she hasn’t seen in a long while.
The stranger introduced himself as ‘Blastrain’, or Fleta-Z’s Dad. She could see the resemblance, the red and black color schemes, the green optics, and the manner of speech. She could see where Fleta-Z got his gentlemanly nature from.
She didn’t expect to meet Fleta-Z’s dad in this situation. She honestly didn’t even now he had parents until the encounter with his Mom. That wasn’t a good encounter. She felt the tension between the two, so thick that a knife would break if it tried to cut it.
She still remembers the anger, the rage, in his optics as he talked to her. The venom in his voice as he spit words towards her. She could see the disbelief in her optics, and then the indignation in her optics. The small argument they had seemed so small compared to the one they talked about.
She could see how Fleta-Z didn’t want to be there, how he didn’t want to be near her, and gave him a way out which he gladly took. He didn’t talk much about what happened, only that she was his Mother and that they didn’t have a good relationship. She didn’t ask him to tell her more, she knows when to ask questions and when to let things be.
But Blastrain seems to be the opposite in terms of relationship. Fleta-Z curled up on his lap, his servos holding on to his Dad as if he’d disappear if he didn’t. The look of love in Blastrain’s optics, stroking his helm and comforting him when Fleta-Z would rouse. How he called Fleta-Z, “Little Bird” with the same amount of love her Dad did whenever he said her name.
Fleta-Z had a good relationship with his Dad, and a negative one with his Mother. This she knows, she may not know the specifics on the situation, but this she understands. She may not remember her own Mother, ‘She would have loved you’ her Dad said with a look of grief and longing in his eyes, but she knows that a Mother and Son relationship isn’t the one Fleta-Z has with his Mother.
But the one he has with his Dad is one she understands well, and as she sees him wake up with a look of joy on his face as he sees that Blastrain stayed, she promises to make sure he can keep this relationship. That they would not be separated again.
She knows her Dad would be proud.
