Damian slowly wakes up as he is in pain, chained to the ceiling, almost all his other siblings are too, well the ones who used to be robin like he is, and … are they are on live TV..??
“nmgh..”
he mutters while he tries to get out of the chains.Damian realizes he cannot get out of the chains, they are holding on tight.
if he tries to get them off there is a chance he might either cut his hand off, OR get cut and possibly slowly die of blood loss.
He simply can’t risk that.
”Wh’re ar’ we..?” he … slurs his words?
what the hell?? was he
drugged?I mean I guess it would explain his exploding headache.
he tries to focus as he hears faint mumbling in the background.
he can’t listen, all he knows is that it may be his (idiotic) siblings, he needs to focus, and listen.
…
after a minute he finally focuses.
It’s Todd.. shouting.. at their kidnappers.
this imbecile.
“T’dd shush.”
Okay so less slurring now, maybe its been in his system long and is wearing off while he wake up.
Todd of course doesn’t shut up, he is mad,
and now instead of yelling at their kidnappers he is yelling at damian.
Somewhat quieter than he was at the kidnappers, but still is.
“what do you mean SHUSH??”
Todd yells at Damian.
Now, Damian would 100% be yelling at the kidnappers too if they weren’t on live TV, and there wasn’t some… numbers? above them all.
”Be.. qui’t.”
Damian repeats as he uses his eyes to point at the numbers above him, at the camera very obviously pointed at them, and the TV’s behind the camera with them on it.
Same numbers above them, it seems like a …
vote..?
Live TV votes from villian scumbags never lead anywhere good.
Todd silences as he realizes.
”oh fuck no.”
Todd had mumbled out
Damian looks around to take in his siblings injuries to make sure it’s nothing fatal.
He makes sure to make a mental note of their injuries, included himself.
Jason; ’Todd has a injury on his head.. its mild but he can survive for now, he won’t get anywhere with that broken ankle though. Grayson will have to carry him if he isn’t injured too badly. Knife from the side to back.. possibly to back. Didn’t seem to know how we got here, was yelling at kidnappers on how we got here so he is useless for this information. Awake and 100% ready.’
Brown; No fatal injures, from the looks of it a hit to the head, possible mild concussion.. Can walk/escape, she will survive.. Hand might be broken, nose as well, cut to the side. not deep enough so she bleeds out, but deep enough for scarring. Might not remember how we got here due to head injury. Awake, confused, ready.’
Drake; ‘Broken arm, knife wound to the neck, its not fatal or bleeding out though. he will be fine for now. He can walk/escape. Might have problems grappling as his dominant hand was broken. Good thing they were taught to use both hands well. Awake, analyzing, and ready. Good.’
Grayson; ‘Knife to the face, might scar if not treated soon. He will freak out over that. Broken arm, cast needed, suit torn, shown struggle unlike others, meaning he struggled more than he usually does. Maybe he remembers how we got here. Can walk/escape, I think. Can possibly carry Todd with one hand. Awake, silent, ready..?’
Damian/Himself; ‘Concussion, can’t remember how he got kidnapped, sore back, knife to stomach, not fatal though. He can walk/escape. He will be fine. Awake and ready.’
20 minutes later
Since Grayson is awake and most likely remembered how we got here he may as well ask.
”Nightwing.”
His slur is gone, thats good signs. Damian whispers to Grayson, silence goes on for a minute before he gets a reply,
”yeah..?”
Grayson replies whispering too? his voice is raspy, & possible he was choked.
”Do you remember how we got here? Or like, kidnapped?”
silence again, it’s like he is on death sentence, but he replies.
”Not really, just bits and pieces. Sorry baby bird..”
Grayson replies to Damian.
“It is quite alright Nightwing.”
Damian quickly replies quietly, why are they here on a vote?
He finally asks Grayson after a few minutes. It seems Brown, Todd, and Drake are listening too as he feels their stares.
”Nightwing, do you know why were here and on a vote?”
He whispers but loud enough for Todd, Drake, and Brown to hear,
Grayson suddenly looks a little scared.
He is never. scared.
what the hell?
silence for a minute, seems he woke first and got the know why were here.
”Were on live TV, people in Gotham are voting on who will stay and who will die. Only one dies, most votes stay, least dies.”
He finally replied with.
”what.”
Todd had replied Damians EXACT thoughts.
”what do you mean DIES?”
he raises his voice a little, suddenly he hears giggles from their kidnappers.
He looks over at the votes, so far no one is gonna die.
They are all basically tied.
It’s okay, the voting won’t end before father gets here.
he hopes.
Its been .. 7 .. hours..?
He can’t tell, everything is passing by in a blur.
All he knows is the live TV is still going on, and during these HORRID. 7 hours(?) he was hit a few times, not to hard.
Maybe they are being hit based on votes.
So far Drake has the most votes to stay,
with Brown in second,
Damian in third (he isn’t complaining.),
Todd is in fourth,
and..
Grayson is in last.
not his baba.suddenly after seeing Grayson’s votes he shouts.
”HEY IDIOTIC KIDNAPPERS CAN WE VOTE?!”
The kidnappers seem to jump a little at the suggestion.
Kidnapper#1; “Well, I meann, would it really do anythinng??”
Kidnapper#2; “mmm… I kinda like to see you guys panic without having the choice to who dies or not though…”
Kidnapper 1 & 2 say as they snicker.
”Robin what the hell are you doing?!”
Drake asks and says Robin as they are in their uniforms. Kidnapped on patrol, so foolish of all of them.
”I’m trying to see if we can vote RR.”
He replies back, as soon as he replies to Drake, kidnapper#1 finally replies.
Kidnapper#1; “you know what, sure you can vote, might leave an impact on who you don’t vote for.”
The kidnapper laughs.
Damian immediately replies,
”I vote for Nightwing than.”
Drake and the others get their votes out too,
and holy FUCK. he is disappointed in his imbeciles of siblings.
He voted for Nightwing.
Drake voted for Todd, he expressed he felt bad for all the bad things they did too eachother, and wanted to make up for it. (Good reason, sure but they are completely ignoring on who has the least amount of votes.)
Todd voted for Drake for the same reason. (+ for apologizing for trying to kill Drake.)
Brown voted Tim for their close bond. (Good reason as well but they are completely ignoring Graysons lack of votes.)
Finally it gets to Grayson, he thinks Grayson will vote himself as he KNOWS he will die if he doesn’t.
fucking Grayson had went and voted for Damian. Oh my god he is stupid.
“What the HELL was that you imbeciles!!”
Damian shouts at all his bat-siblings.
The first to reply was Todd.
”What? we all had good reasons to vote eachother.”
there is silence, and although they can’t see it in his eyes they can see it in his heavy breathing and angry looking expression.
”YES YOU IMBECILES HAD GOOD REASONS BUT WHAT ABOUT NIGHTWING?? HE HAS SO LITTLE VOTES HE WILL DIE YOU IMBECILES!!”
there is silence as they all realize, except Grayson and Damian.
”AND YOU NIGHTWING, YOU COULD’VE VOTED YOURSELF BUT NO YOU VOTED ME!!”
there is heavy silence as he looks at all the shocked faces, Grayson also looks shocked, Damian had barely ever lashed out like this.
Well in a serious way that is.
After a few seconds he hears the kidnappers giggling.
He didn’t care, Grayson knew his votes, and voted for Damian.
Soon enough Brown speaks up,
”Nightwi-“
halfway through her talking she was cut-off by Grayson.
”Spoiler, it’s fine, Batman will get here before the voting even ends.”
they all hoped.
Soon enough after ages of silence and the bickering from the kidnappers Damian passed out due to his injuries.
