Undertale AU/MV Ship Prompts & Short Stories

Summary:

This is my collection of a bunch of different oneshots for UTAU/MV!
There's a whole bunch of everything here if I'm being honest

Chapter 1: Welcome!

Chapter Text

So this exists here now!

This book is a giant(-ish) collection of my written ship oneshots that all relate back to Undertale AU/MV

If you're ever curious about whether or not requests are open, you can check this chapter because I'll list it at the bottom

——————————————

Rules for requests:

- Specify what ship you want along with whether you want it as angst or fluff

If you have a specific plot that you want as well, let me know! It helps me get started.

- No self-inserts please!

I don't really know how to write them, sorry (trust me, if I did, you'd all be DOOMED)

- Try to limit OCs!

Please only suggest them if they've been very developed/designed, so I'd know how to write them. Also please don't request them often- Try to stick to well-known UTAU/MV Sanses.

- Nothing heavily NSFW

There are certain topics that I'm not ok with writing, so just keep in mind a general no heavy NSFW rule. Feel free to ask if there's something you're unsure about! I'll let you know :)

- No being pushy in the comments

So far on Quotev, things have been cool about people not asking where their requested fic is, but I don't need that to start. Please don't ask me why I haven't written your request, I write them all down in the order that I get them, and I just take a long time to write sometimes.

- I may not choose to write your request (unlikely)

Sometimes people have certain requests that they desperately want written and are not willing to budge on what they want. If this request does not align with what I'm comfortable with, I'll have to deny writing it.

- Undertale, not Deltarune

This is pretty self-explanatory. I don't know enough about Deltarune to write anything about it.

Potentially more to be added later

REQUESTS ARE CURRENTLY: CLOSED

Thanks for reading!

Have fun!

Chapter 2: ColorKiller Angst

Chapter Text

For such a long time before, Killer had been sneaking out of Nightmare’s mansion to secretly meet up with Color. What they had together was beyond words and honestly beyond Killer’s comprehension, he just knew it was something. Something that he didn’t have with anyone else. Something he never wanted to have with anyone else.

It was thoughts like those that disturbed him.

Especially now.

He had never even known what he was feeling, but he only wanted to feel them for Color.

Unfortunately for him, Nightmare had grown tired of these “secret” meetings of theirs and decided he would put an end to them.

He had let Killer have his fun, but all good things must come to an end to make way for such delicious despair.

So now, in the Waterfall of a desolate AU that had been their chosen meeting spot, Nightmare stood above a kneeled Killer, a tentacle wrapped around his soul in a threatening manner.

Just off to the side was Color, who had been pushed out of the way when Nightmare made his appearance. He was struggling to get up in the face of the sheer amount of Negativity in the atmosphere, but kept trying to inch closer to Killer, to get him away from danger, to protect him at any cost necessary. His flames were burning a vibrant purple and orange.

“... don’t…” Killer rasped aloud, but to whom he was begging was unclear.

Was he telling Color not to bother with him? Was he telling him to run?

Or, was he begging Nightmare to leave Color alone? Was he pleading with him to spare the only life he held any value to?

“I’ve grown tired of your insolence, Killer. With you constantly sneaking out to meet with this walking rainbow, you’ve lost your true reason for living; your only purpose. You do remember what that is, hm?” Nightmare asked him, cocking his head and smirking down at the pitiful display before him.

Instead of answering him, like he knew he should have, Killer stayed silent and stared at the floor.

“Killer… you don’t have to listen to him. It’ll be fine, I promise.” Color said to him, hoping desperately to prevent a stage shift.

Killer looked up at him momentarily and his soul throbbed. What was he feeling right now? Why did it hurt so much?

Whatever it was, it made Nightmare’s smirk drop instantly and his tentacle coil just a bit tighter. Tight enough to make Killer curl over himself and let out small, very obviously repressed sounds of pain.

“Stop that!” Color yelled at him as he summoned an arm blaster and prepared to attack. However, before he could hardly charge it, a tentacle quickly wrapped its way around his arm and tightened significantly, severely breaking it.

In response, Color yelled out in pain and hunched over, cradling his arm, or what was left of it.

Killer’s eyesockets widened and he looked up at Nightmare with such a desperate look and pleaded, “Please stop! Please!”

Reveling in such potent Negativity from the two skeleton’s, Nightmare just laughed at him and shook his head in amusement.

“You know, I’m feeling rather generous right now, so I’ll give you a choice: Come back with me and leave Color behind, alive; or leave with him.”

Silence followed.

“Don’t do it Killer. Go with him. There’s some sort of trick here, I know it. Please, go with him. I’m begging you.” Color begged him, his eyelight shaking as he could feel in his gut that something was so very wrong here.

“Well?” Nightmare asked, seeming to taunt him even with a single word.

“... I choose to leave with him.” He said, glaring up at the one so clearly superior to him.

“Oh, how disappointing.” Was all that could be said before a tentacle pierced its way directly through Color’s soul.

There was hardly any sound as Killer was forced to watch the most important person to him turn to dust.

The tentacle unwound itself from Killer’s soul, leaving him to support himself, which he could not do, instantly falling further to the floor and letting out sounds he didn’t think he could make anymore.

These sounds were ones of true agony. The ones that only come when you’ve just lost something truly dear to yourself. The ones that come after you’ve lost the one person you’ve ever loved.

“You know, maybe if you’d chosen to go with me, this wouldn’t have happened.” A small sigh and click of his tongue, “Look what your choice did, Killer. Look what you’ve done.” Nightmare murmured to him, right beside his ‘ear’.

A heart-wrenching wail was the only response to be heard before Nightmare sighed once again, saying something about a mess, before leaving.

As Killer sobbed, he apologized and screamed for forgiveness to the point that his throat had grown raw and scratchy.

He stayed there for so long, crying and screaming for Color to come back, that he was so sorry, that he hated Nightmare for what he had done.

Nightmare showed no signs of coming back, but that made sense because that was what Killer had chosen. He chose for him and Color to leave, but it was never specified like in the first option that both would be alive.

Killer stayed there so long, hunched over and crying to no end that he hadn’t noticed that his soul didn’t look target-shaped anymore. It now looked like an upside-down heart.

He was in Stage 1 and he wasn’t able to go back.

He was stuck with this agony and he would have to live with it forever.

And Nightmare was just fine with that.

Chapter 3: Crepic Fluff

Chapter Text

Things were getting out of hand.

For 2 months now, Epic had been staying with the Bad Sanses, often found lounging around in the living room or side-by-side with Cross. Or both.

The two had practically grown inseparable, even going as far as to have sleepovers in each other’s rooms more often than not. They were constantly smiling around each other, laughing, having fun, looking over at one when they thought the other wasn’t looking, being so overwhelmingly positive that it made Nightmare slightly physically sick-

You know, all that stupid pining stuff.

It had gotten to the point that Nightmare actually avoided being in the same room as the two of them since the affection (that was visible to everyone but them) was honestly a nasty taste.

Killer decided he had to do something about it, and the others all agreed.

“Ok, so the plan is that we surprise them with an intervention.”

Dust looked over at Killer and rolled his eyes, “What’s that even supposed to mean? This isn’t some AA meeting where we can just take away their booze and hope for the best.”

“Yeah… if we separate them, it’ll just confuse and upset them.” Horror said from across the table that they’d all gathered around.

“Shhhhhhhh-shut. Shut the fuck up. Hear me out. Ok? Listen, I’m not saying separate them, I’m saying confro-”

“So, we should confront them directly and tell them that they’re both sickeningly attracted to one another? Hm, that’s a rather good idea.” Nightmare cut in, smirking as everyone else praised him for ‘his’ good idea.

Killer gave him the finger and said, “Yeah. That’s what we’re gonna do. Great idea, boss.”

“Thank you, thank you.”

Killer raised his other hand and gave Nightmare that middle finger as well, to which he replied with feigned shock.

“So, what? We’re just gonna trap them in a room and tell them that they like each other? Cross is socially stupid, so he’s just gonna shut down and deny anything Epic asks him.” Error said, finally looking up from his phone and joining the conversation.

Silence followed.

“Man, why couldn’t you stay quiet.” Killer groaned, allowing his head to fall to the table harshly.

“Because I love unnecessarily stirring up shit, that’s why.” He replied smugly, looking back down to his phone.

“What if we just did it anyways? Sure, he’s really stupid when it comes to this kind of stuff, but if they were locked together for long enough, don’t you think he’d say something eventually?” Horror asked tentatively, looking around between everyone.

“I suppose… Plus, telling them gets it out into the open, so they’d be aware of it at the very least.” Nightmare added, eager to get all of this over and done with.

Killer was quick to chime in, “Alright! So we have a plan, when are we going to do it?”

———

The day had come for Cross and Epic to be locked in a room with each other.

Everyone was unsure of whether or not the plan would even work, since it had just been made yesterday, but it was their best (and only) hope.

The two blissfully unaware memelords had been walking down the hallways aimlessly, talking about nothing and enjoying each others’ company, when suddenly a portal opened beneath their feet and they wound up in a rather cozy looking room.

Cross was the first to gain his bearings and leapt to his feet quickly, eyes darting around the room and looking for danger. After realizing where they were and he was sure that nothing was wrong, he quickly made his way back over to Epic and helped him up since he was just sitting on the floor.

“Soooooo, where are we, bruh?” Epic asked, staring around at their surroundings in complete confusion.

“Actually, I think we’re still at the mansion… It looks like one of the secondary sitting rooms, but I have no idea why we’re here or how we even got here.” Cross replied, still searching the room, double and triple checking that absolutely nothing could hurt Epi– that nothing was wrong.

“Heheh, heyyy losers.”

The two spun around and saw Error looking at them through one of his portals, with the other Bad Sanses watching from behind him.

Suddenly, Killer pushed Error to the side, much to his outrage, and leaned through the portal.

“Soooooo, we just figured that we’re gonna magically and… uh, code-ingly… lock you two in this room and make you talk.” Killer said teasingly to them, resting his chin on his palm. Error rose from behind him and gave him a look that promised murder later.

“Wait, but we always talk?? Why are you going to keep us here just to do something that we always do anyways?” Cross asked, raising his arms in disbelief.

Killer let out an evil laugh, drawing looks from the others, and said, “Oh, that’s the good part. You two are finally going to tell each other how you really feel! Which is complete infatuation of course.”

“Honestly, it tastes rather disgusting, thank you very much.” Nightmare chimed in from over Killer’s shoulder.

“You taste emotions?!” Epic asked, dumbfounded.

Nightmare just sighed.

“Wait wait wait, hold up. No. Backtrack. What do you mean, ‘infatuation’?” Cross asked abruptly, eyelights shrinking and a purple blush dusting his cheeks.

Error could be heard giggling in the background as he yanked Killer back with his strings and closed his portal.

Both Epic and Cross were silent for a few minutes, looking anywhere but each other at this point.

“Sooooooo, uh. You… too?” Epic said finally, in an awkward and hesitant voice as he glanced over at Cross.

“What.”

Epic quickly looked away to face the newly interesting wall.

“Nahhhh no way. This must be a dream or something. It has to be. This literally only happens in my dreams.” Cross muttered to himself and he paced anxiously across the floor.

“No wayyyyyy, you dream about me, bruh?” Epic asked as he suddenly popped up in front of Cross’s face, causing said purple skeleton to stumble back and fall down in surprise.

“N-No! I totally don’t, dude… no way. That’s gay and I’m wearing socks, so it can’t be.” He replied, looking away with a shaky smile.

“Hm, you’re right… So it can’t be that.” Epic laughed out as he looked down at Cross.

A beat of silence as both of their faces turned even more purple.

“But what if I… I uh– Took off my socks?” Epic nervously asked him, still looking down, but now at the floor.

More silence stretched between them.

“… Then that would be pretty gay, dude.” Cross replied, smiling even more as he looked up at him.

“Is that such a bad thing? If I wanted to be sockless with you?”

Cross’s eyelights shrunk slightly as he registered the question.

“I- I think… I think that’d be pretty cool actually.” He breathed, making eye contact with Epic as he did.

In response, Epic smiled wide and plopped down on the floor beside Cross.

They sat in amicable silence for a bit, Cross’s head resting on Epic’s shoulder, before Epic asked him,

“Heh, so you dream about me?”

“SHUT UPPPPP!”

Chapter Text

It had been only a few days since the fight.

A few days since the accident.

A few days since Dust’s careless mistake.

A few days since Killer had died.

It’s felt like ages that the mansion had been far too quiet without all of his constant disturbances… but oh how the others would give anything to hear it all again.

They wished they could hear his jokes, his flirting, the sound of a vase breaking upstairs, the sound of his maniacal laughter in the training room, and every other sound he would make.

Even though they hated them before, oh what they wouldn’t give to be the recipient of one of his pranks.

Everyone missed him so much. So much that it hurt.

Since that day, Nightmare hadn’t cracked open a book, Error hadn’t eaten any chocolate, Horror hardly ate at all, Cross locked himself in his room, and Dust… well, Dust wasn’t doing much of anything.

No one blamed him for what happened, but all Dust could think about was that it was all his fault.

If he hadn’t summoned that attack, if he hadn’t poured in that much magic into the attack, if he wasn’t so careless, then maybe he would still be here.

All it took was one carefully placed strike to his soul, and Killer had fallen to the ground in sheer agony.

Dust sobbed, magic pouring from his eyes, which he hastily brushed away when he heard his door open.

Nightmare didn’t need to say anything, he didn’t need to ask what was wrong or if he was okay. He already knew the answers.

All he did was walk up to him and squeeze him tightly in a hug.

Dust could feel him shaking, and he hugged back.

“It’ll be okay…” he heard, but he didn’t know who Nightmare was reassuring.

The hug never broke, neither pulling away, but the others piled in when they saw the open door, each one joining the hug; even Error.

They stayed like that for a long time, tightly holding one another, whispering reassurances, and desperately hoping that someone would make some kind of joke to lighten the mood.

But no one did.

That was Killer’s thing.

So instead of saying anything, they held each other, sobbing until their eyelights had burnt out.

Everything hurt.

No one had expected him to die.

No one realized just how mortal the majority of them were.

And for the ones who were immortal?

For them, it only hurt so much more because they were now forced to realize that eventually the others would turn to dust before their eyes as well. Whether it be a painful death like it was for Killer, or peacefully, it didn’t matter.

They’ll have to watch everyone they love turn to dust no matter how they’re lives turn out.

Even if a truce is formed between the two sides, it wouldn’t fucking matter, because they’ll all die anyways.

Error sobbed, desperately fighting off a crash. He wouldn’t. Not now. He can’t. He can’t. He needs to be there for them. He won-

A high pitched buzzing rang through the room as Error went limp.

Horror just hugged him tighter.

How were things supposed to be okay without Killer?

Without him, everyone was at a loss.

Who would foolishly try and wake up every morning before Nightmare? Who would carve those stupid little wooden statues when Error was crocheting? Who would make a mess of the kitchen when Horror was trying to make dinner? Who would make things so interesting with their tricks and games when sparring with Cross? Who would complain about Dust being in the library too long and drag him out into the “real world”?

Nightmare’s tentacles wrapped around everyone, squeezing them softly.

Time passed by as the group embraced one another with the company of one less person.

Honestly, this one is my favourite

Chapter 5: Kerror Angst

Chapter Text

There was one day in Outertale, when everyone; the Stars, the Bad Sanses, and Error, had all coincidentally met in the same timeline. They’d all silently agreed to enjoy the atmosphere and the company together without all of the usual fighting and threatening each other.
The stars were shining just a bit brighter than usual and the ambient sounds were so peaceful, it was hard to even want to fight anyone here.
No one really knew anything about Error; he’d always kept to himself, hardly ever speaking to anyone unless he was yelling at them mid-fight. Because of this, there were some certain people that took a special interest in getting some answers out of him.
Ink and Killer especially had crowded him, pestering him with questions piled on top of questions, barely giving him a single moment of reprieve or even time to answer anything.
If you looked closely, you could tell he was getting overwhelmed.
Time passed, and the groups eventually said their goodbyes, saying they’d see one another again soon, but knowing that it wouldn’t be on good terms.
Error walked through a portal to the Anti-Void and fell right down onto his beanbag, utterly exhausted from all the socialization with people he didn’t even know he knew.
—————
“Hey Error! It’s good to see you again huhhhh? Did you miss me?” Came an obnoxious voice directly above Error’s shoulder that sounded faintly familiar.
Error immediately spun around to see a skeleton monster with what seemed to be liquid hate leaking from their eyesockets. He narrowed his eyes in suspicion… How did he know his name?
Without a single word, Error opened a portal to some random AU and left.
The skeleton monster was left blinking in confusion, not understanding why whenever they would speak, he never seemed to recognize him.
—————
Killer was going to try a new tactic.
If Error wanted to play hard to get and pretend he didn’t know him, then so be it. He would play along.
He saw him sitting on the same ledge in Outertale as always, and slowly walked up behind him, making enough noise so he wouldn’t startle him away like he’d done before.
When Killer got beside him, he sat down, causing Error’s attention to be drawn to him immediately. Quickly, he shifted away so as to not trigger the other’s haphephobia any more than he may already have.
“... Can I help you?”
Killer’s eyes were instantly drawn back up to Error’s face, sockets widening as he stammered, “Uh, hi! I figured we could talk since you were out here by yourself. I see you out here a lot, so why not?”
“Oh, um. Okay… then? If you really want, then sure.” He replied, looking away and back out to the stars surrounding them.
“… Stars, he's beautiful out in this light.”
Killer’s cheekbones quickly heated as he looked away.
They sat in amicable silence for a while, before Killer looked over at him and asked, “So why are you out here so much? I get that it’s pretty, but don’t you ever get sick of it?”
Error breathed out a laugh and smiled, “No, I don’t get sick of it, stars… How could I? It’s absolutely gorgeous and it always feels like I’m seeing it for the first time whenever I’m here again.”
“You know, you have a really nice smile- Um, wait oh shit that’s really corny…” Killer laughed out awkwardly as he raised a hand behind his head in embarrassment.
Error finally looked over at him, sockets wide and a faint yellow over his cheekbones.
“... What?”
“It’s nothing! Don’t worry about it. I’ll flirt with you later when I’m thinking straight, okay? I promise.” He replied, a flirty smile on his face as his gaze was drawn back to Error’s face.
The only response given was soft laughter as he looked back to the sky and away from this truly strange skeleton.
Every now and then, the two would start up a conversation again, always resting in amicable silence when they weren’t. It really was one of Error’s better days. He didn’t have to worry about the Voices, or crashing, especially when this skeleton seemed to know which triggers to avoid.
… Error actually didn’t like thinking about that last part.
There was some nagging feeling that he should know this monster, but whenever he tried to remember, it just hurt to think about.
Eventually Killer’s phone rang, bearing summons from Nightmare back to the castle. As he stood to leave, he glanced down at Error, “We better talk soon, I’m counting on it to keep that promise.”
“Promise?” He asked.
“You know, the one where I said I’d flirt with you properly.”
“Pfft, okay sure. We’ll get right on that.” Error said teasingly, smirking up at him.
“We will! Bye!”
Killer jumped through a portal and Error was left to watch the stars alone once more.
—————
The next time they saw each other was in an AU that Error was in the process of destroying.
Killer ran up to him, waving his arms ecstatically in greeting, only to be strung up and thrown backwards.
The look that he got from Error was one that seemed like it could kill.
“… Error? What’s the matter?” A short laugh, “What, you don’t want me to keep that promise?”
Error stared at him, head tilted to the side in confusion.
Suddenly, a tentacle coiled itself around Killer’s waist and yanked him back towards Nightmare.
“There’s no recognition, Killer.” Nightmare said in a somber tone to him, tentacle still wrapped around him to prevent him from running.
Killer didn’t look at him, still staring straight ahead, “What do you mean..?”
“He doesn’t know you.”
“That can’t be possible.”
Error could be seen rolling his eyelights and turning away to walk further into the AU, deeming them as not threats.
“… Listen, Killer. I’d only been able to guess before, but this only confirms it.” Nightmare said quietly to him, a secondary tentacle petting the top of his head comfortingly.
Killer said nothing.
A deep sigh, then “I believe a certain type of memory loss. Anterograde amnesia to be specific. Simply put, I don’t believe he’s capable of making new memories. Usually it’s temporary, but with Error I’m not too sure.”
“Wait, so he doesn’t remember me… at all?” Killer asked shakily, grasping the tentacle wrapped around him.
“I don’t know. I’ve never interacted with him enough to develop a memorable bond, so I’ve had no way of knowing.” A brief pause before he continued, “However, Killer. I truly don’t recommend a continued interaction with him if we confirm this.”
Killer’s head shot up to look at him, his newly formed eyelight shaking in his socket.
“He’s an extremely dangerous, untrusting, and paranoid monster, and if he never remembers that you mean him no harm, then he’ll likely be quick to lash out and hurt you.” Nightmare told him, his tone gentle, but firm.
Killer moved his mouth to speak, but no words came out.
The two stood there, Killer trying to think of the words to say while Nightmare passively collected Negativity.
“Can we just go home?”
“Of course.”
Error watched from the treeline as the two left, his skull feeling like it would rip apart any second now. He thought briefly about Outertale, but he didn’t know why… Something about bright stars and peaceful ambiance rang through his head, but he didn’t know why.
He touched his face to feel something wet running down his cheekbones as he tried to remember memories he didn’t have about a monster he didn’t know he loved.

Chapter 6: OuterError Fluff

Chapter Text

On one of the farthest cliffs in Outertale, sat a monster renowned for his violent tendencies. He was known throughout the Multiverse for brutally slaughtering every monster within an AU without a single thought for their lives. After he erased that world from the very files of existence, he would wipe their dust off his jacket and move on as if nothing had ever happened. There few very few AUs that the Destroyer would leave untouched, saying that "he'd get around to them later" when he knew very well that he never would. One of those such AUs was Outertale. The first time he opened his portal here with his sights set on destroying it, he'd stepped through and immediately paused. It had only then occurred to him that he'd never seen the stars before; not really, at least. He'd visited frequently after that, always finding a spare moment to just sit on the cliffs and relax by himself.

As Error sat on that cliff now, the stars were somehow even more beautiful than they were every other time in the past. They shone and danced way up high in the night sky, shimmering with a wonderful display of colours and light. The sky itself was a deep inky black, but if he looked hard enough, he could see the purples and blues wafting and swirling through the cosmos. It all came together to be the most breathtaking sight he'd ever seen. Every time he came here, he would sit on these cliffs and stare out to the sky in silent peace, content to sit here forever if he could.

Alas, there were anomalies to destroy.

Speaking of, one such anomaly was sitting down beside him on his right, quietly looking out to the sky. Error stared at him, his mouth gaping as he took him in. He should have been confused as he looked at him, he should have been wondering when he got here, how he got there so quietly, if he was a threat, or countless other much more important things. Instead, all he could think about was how the stars weren't the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen anymore. This monster was absolutely breathtakingly perfect. Error quickly shook his head free from his thoughts and pointedly stared to his left, away from this weirdly appealing monster.

It was silent for quite some time before the monster quietly spoke up, "You know, I see you sitting out here by yourself pretty often. I know it's a nice view to enjoy all alone, but I figured that you wouldn't mind some company every once in a while." He smiled at Error and stuck out his hand, "I'm Outer, what's your name?"

Error stared down at his extended hand before slowly raising his eyes to meet his gaze.

"Huh."

Outer blinked as he lowered his hand. Quickly, he grinned and said, "Well, that's a pretty star-tling choice of name, but I guess not everything can mete-or expectations."

There was a quick pause before Error finally got a hold of himself, laughing a bit as he said, "Hey, there's a real gravity to this situation, okay? Being named 'Huh' has caused me a lot of problems and confusion! Don't even get me star-ted." Outer's grin got bigger as he laughed loudly.

The two sat there for a while, exchanging puns and eventually Error's real name. They talked and got to know each other, smiling and just enjoying each others' company. Time passed and they got much more comfortable in each other's presence than either of them had expected.

"So, why do you come out here all the time, anyways?" Outer asked him, facing him directly now as they had both abandoned the stars to properly look at each other. Error paused for a moment, looking up at the sky and contemplating.

"Well, it's just… I don't know. It's nice here. It's quiet and I can have time to just… to just do nothing and be nothing and just…" He sighed, "I don't know. It's just nice here." He continued to stare up to the stars above, watching them twinkle and shine. Outer lifted his gaze to watch as well.

"Yeah, I get that. A lot of people come here to just… breathe. They come to relax and unwind and hey, I'm not gonna stop 'em. It's a nice place, trust me I know." He replied softly, marking the stars and constellations in the sky that he'd known for practically his whole life. He didn't notice that Error had looked down and was now watching him instead. The two were silent for a while, just content to sit there together and enjoy the view.

"You know, I think you were right…"

"Huh? About what?"

"… It is nice to have some company every once in a while."
