Chapter Text

The sky was dark and cloudy as the four brothers jumped their way through the city. They all laughed at some dumb joke their brother made, laughing again when the youngest almost face planted into one of the gutters.
“Hey,” Mikey started. “That wasn't funny,” They continued to bicker, becoming silent when they arrived at their destination.

“So,” The eldest started, glancing towards the leader of the group. “Going in there ablaze?” The turtle wearing blue shook his head. “You heard me before, Raph, this is an intel mission. We’re not going in or causing a commotion.” The eldest sighed, pacing around the roof. “Yeah Raph,” The youngest chuckled, joining in with the turtle wearing purple.

Getting sick of his brother's annoying comments, Raph slapped the youngest head. “Why don’t you find that funny Mikey,” The youngest huffed. “Donnie was laughing too,”

“Shut up, you three, you’re gonna draw attention,” The leader hushed them, turning his focus back to the looming building. “Leo’s right,” Donnie hummed, handing his brother a pair of binoculars.

The night drew on, the wind getting colder. “Man,” Mikey whined. “I wish we had fur, like master splinter,” The three ignored their brother, causing him to complain more.
“Mikey shut up!” All three screamed.
Their small bickering was cut short by the sudden movement from outside the building.

A large number of foot ninjas headed into the back door, heading down the basement. The four glanced at each other, nodding as they quickly headed.
The door was kept slightly open as they quietly got in, using the large roof to hide themselves.
Their steps were silent and precise, keeping themselves cast away from any enemies. They all looked around, trying to find where the foot ninjas had run away to.

Their questions were answered when the youngest was pulled from his spot, thrown down onto the ground. Thinking quickly on his feet, Mikey pulled a ninja star as his brothers joined him. “It’s a trap,” Donnie stated.
Raph shrugged, pulling his twin sais out, reading for a fight. “It’s not like we can’t beat them,”

The bots surrounded the turtles, multiple arms reaching out to them. The two eldest went out on their own, leaving the youngest to help each other out.
“Wow,” Raphael started. “That was easy,” They all agreed. “I don’t think it’s over,” Leo held his katanas tightly, glancing around the dark room. “Shredders up to something, something with the Kraang,”

After his sentence was finished, two mutants appeared. “Oh, if it isn’t fish-face,” Raph smirked.

Before any of them could think, they were attacked. A black figure came out of nowhere, slamming the eldest's head down onto the floor. The other three went into motion, defending their brother.
They were used to fighting the foot bots and fish-face, but this guy was different; they were new; they were skilled, fast, so fast the brothers could even catch a glimpse of them.

The less beaten brothers helped walk Mikey as they helped him sit on the couch. “What is the meaning of this?” Splinter called out, glancing at his bruised sons. “We were ambushed,” Leo mumbled. “There was someone new, Master Splinter.” Donnie huffed, joining his brother on the couch. “We couldn’t handle them. They were going for all four of us.” Raph added in, leaning his head back as he sighed to get off his feet.

“They were a ninja,” Leo stated. “Master, they used our weapons against us.” The rat stroked the long, platted fur on his chin, humming thoughtfully. He pondered intently, glancing at his beaten sons. They all held their breath, waiting for their father's response.

“My sons,” He started. “Such a problem like this hasn’t arisen before. I must take my time and meditate, because of this, you will stay and take care of your injured brothers.”

The three glanced at the turtle in blue, waiting for him to say anything. They all sat in silence, their father already left. “So, Leo,” Raph started. “We’re going to attack back, right?” The second eldest sighed, slightly hunched over, unlike his usual posture. “No Raph. We couldn’t even get the upper hand with all four of us against that guy. And now with Mikey down, what do you think will happen when there’s only three of us? Not to mention, we’re all seriously injured.” Leo lectured, causing his brother to huff angrily. “Are you kidding?”
“Dudes,” Mikey cut in.

“We have to do something,” Raphael felt anger for his brothers. Leo sighed, rolling his eyes. “I told you. Did you not listen to anything Master Splinter said?”

Light rain tapped against the turtle's skin as he stayed perched on top of his hiding spot. After arguing with his brother, Raph had decided to just watch the building. That ninja they had faced was too good for Raph to even consider facing them on his own. So, he was going to settle for just watching, that is, until his father had made a decision on what to do next.

Raphael’s attention was caught by a large fish leaving the building. Now that was someone he could handle. By himself.
The pursuit was easy, the large fish didn’t hide himself; instead, going about his business completely out in public.

“Hey, fish-face!” Raph called, catching the red fish's attention. “What are you doing all the way out here? By yourself?” The turtle smirked harshly, the wounds from his previous fight still showing through his green skin. Because of these marks, the fish smirked. “Who says I’m alone?” A large tiger jumped out at the turtle, claws whipping towards his face.
Raph knew that tigerclaw was a formidable opponent, but he could still hold his own, even with his injuries. The tiger pinned down Raph, pulling a gun from his holster. Before he could shoot the turtle, he escaped, backing away. “You’re still so naive, little cub.” Raph scoffed, twirling his sais.

Feeling a person behind himself, Raph stiffened, coming face to face with the ninja from last night. They stood still, almost like a machine. “What do you think will happen when there’s only one of you to fight, little cub?”
The ninja was slightly taller than Raph, hand resting by their side; they wore armour, covering everything. The silver was clean and shiny. To Raph, the ninja reminded him of a samurai.

The fish chuckled, joined the tiger. “I told you one would show up,” Realising he was set up, the turtle decided he needed to get out. Before he could get out, a hilt of something was brought against the back of his head.

Leo paced nervously in front of his sensei's room. The door suddenly opened, causing the turtle to flinch and bow. “What is it, my son?” Splinter questioned. “Raphael went out on his own, and he hasn’t been back for over an hour.” The rat sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. “Very well,” He muttered.

Raphael awoke to a fly buzzing around, muttering to himself. He tried to move, noticing he was strapped onto a metal table. “Oh!” The fly exclaimed. “You’re awake?” The turtle struggled more when the fly buzzed closed, poking the captured teen. “Get off me, buzz face!” Raph spat.
A large needle pointed at the turtle's face as the fly chuckled softly.
