This is my Marvel the Avengers fanfiction
Daughter of King Odin and Queen Frigga
With some changes to the fandoms used
Their romantic pairing(s): I'm undecided?
.....
Princess Sòl Odinsdottir || Emilia Clarke
"You forget, I am the Goddess of the sun. Should I really wish too, I could burn your disgusting planet out of existence."
Marvel Avengers cast || Their characters
"Uhm, actually he's the boss... I just pay for everything. Design everything. And I make everyone look cooler."
.... .
Disclaimer: I do not own the Fandoms, I only own my original character and their backstory. I also own some changes to the fandoms chosen, there will be some references from other tv shows and few movies, I hope you enjoy this fanfiction and the others I have made.
Need to know: So, my OC is the youngest child and the only daughter of Odin and Frigga. She is about 900 years old, so she is like a few hundered years younger than Thor and Loki who are both about 1200. She is the Goddess of the sun. In this AU, Hela is NOT Odin's daughter, instead, she is gonna be Odin's SISTER! Obviously, this is not going to be 100% canon compliant, I have made many changes to the mcu to fit my OC and my story. This is going to be set in phase two and three of the mcu, but I won't be including every single movie.
Sòl is pronounced like soul.
Warning; there is character bashing and call outs! This fanfiction is probably not for you if you can't handle your favourite characters being held accountable for their terrible decisions and shitty actions. After all, this is a fix it fanfiction .
This fanfic is set after age of Ultron, but the dark world has not happened yet, so Queen Frigga is still alive and healthy. I've shifted the movies around a little <33

I DID ORPHAN THIS STORY A FEW DAYS AGO, BUT I AM REPUBLISHING IT <33 so please don't report me for plagiarism or something, because this is my story.
Chapter Text
Sòl hated Midgard. It's not a secret... She truly did not understand her brothers love for this planet, or their people. She found the Midgardians to be undeserving of the world which they were given, due to their entitlement and self-serving nature. They have destroyed the beauty of their planet through war and greed. Sòl was over 900 years old, visited all corners of the galaxy and has met millions of different species, and can confidently proclaim she disliked Midgard the most... this opinion saddens Thor; Loki thought it hilarious. There was, unfortunately, no changing Sòl's mind. Its simply how she felt about that planet. So when her favourite Uncle, Heimdall, gave her a task involving Midgard, she threw a huge tantrum and Sòl wasn't as ashamed of having a major tantrum as a 900 years old Princess -- the future Queen -- should probably to be... She did not want to go to Midgard! But, unfortunately, the All-father forced Sòl to do as she was told. So, here she currently was, on Midgard.
She was standing at the boarder of some little nation named Wakanda. Admittedly, it was beautiful, and their invisible shield surrounding the entire country was quite impressive; far more advanced than what she has seen on Midgard before. Though it's not advanced enough to keep her out, Sòl could see right through the facade of dry, empty lands and into their major city. Wakanda reminded her of Xandar.
Sòl arrived to Midgard via the Bifrost, and she was given an Asgardian Longship to make her journey easier. Heimdall hadn't exactly explained his reasonings why yet, but several Midgardians -- heroes mostly, Thor's friends -- were being summoned to Asgard, and Sòl was not to take no for an answer. So, this should be interesting.
Unsurprisingly, she was met with caution and hostility. Wakandan men and women in blue cloaks met her at the boarder; all of them aiming weapons. Sòl just smiled at them, in no mood for a fight. She's only just had her hair done! She jumped down from her longship, she raised her arms in surrender and calmly walked towards the boarder. They were very tense, watching her every step. She spoke in English. "My name is Sòl, the Princess of Asgard. You may have heard of my brother, Thor? I'm here to speak with your King T'Chaka and Queen Ramonda. If you would be so kind to lower your sparkling sticks and show me the way? That would be appreciated."
A man stepped closer to the boarder. He was clearly their leader; handsome, dark skin, with a bald head, wearing gorgeous blue robes. The man frowned, he looked Sòl up and down, suspicious and unkind, then he coldly demanded, also speaking in English, though you could tell English was not either his or hers first language, their accents were thick and their words came out like their tongues weren't used to saying certain sounds. She probably should have worn her galactic translator. "What business do you have here?!"
"Bloody daft Midgardians, honestly." Sòl muttered with a sigh and rolled her eyes. "That is between me and your King. So, are you going to let me in, or am I going to have to embarrass you all?"
"Give me a moment." He replied, then he walked away from her and quietly spoke into the black bracelet he was wearing. It was even more advanced technology. He was gone barely five minutes, before the man came back and the soldiers lowered their spears, and the shield dropped. He gestured for her to enter. "You may come into Wakanda. The Council will see you."
Sòl beamed, and she skipped over. "Why thank you, kind sir. Oh, my longship! After your men rummage through it, make sure they clean up whatever mess they make." She asked him, almost certain they were going to snoop through all of her things -- they do it on Asgard too, precautions and whatnot. The man had awkwardly looked back at his soldiers, then he looked back at Sòl and he nodded his head with a tiny, sheepish smile, and they began to walk.
If Sòl had to live on Midgard, she'd do her best to live here. Wakanda was stunning. It truly was like being home, the buildings were gorgeous and the people, while they did stare and whisper, they were friendly. An Asgardian appearing at their boarders probably didn't happen too often, Sòl was guessing, and the Bifrost beam may have caused quite the stir for all who saw it. It would have also left a burn pattern in the grasses where it landed. Oops. With their vehicles, it didn't take too long to get to a palace; to where Sòl was assuming their royal family lived. It's lovely. It looked like something you would see on Xandar.
Sòl's first impressions of the Wakandan royal were; 'wow, what gorgeous people?!' Truly, they're probably some of the most beautiful people she's ever seen! Queen Ramonda kind of looked like Athena, the daughter of King Zeus. A Goddess. They were all so freaking stunning! Sòl almost forgot what she was doing there, which was a little embarrassing... King T'Chaka stood up from his throne, and he walked towards her. He reminded her of her own father. They had the same stoic walk. The Wakandan King looked at her, curiously.
"W'Kabi says you claim to be Asgardian?"
Sòl frowned, very confused. "Who?"
Behind T'Chaka, Princess Shuri started to giggle in amusement and Prince T'Challa elbowed her as their mother sent the duo a warning look, telling them to stop. King T'Chaka, bemused, gestured to someone standing behind her and said. "W'Kabi, he is the gentleman who escorted you."
"Oh..." Sòl turned to W'Kabi and smiled at him, and she turned back at King T'Chaka with a shrug. "He didn't tell me his name." Sòl has just been referring to him as 'their lead bald guy' inside her head... she didn't think to ask his name, truthfully.
"But you are Asgardian, aren't you?" The young princess questioned her, excitedly.
Sòl nodded. "I am Asgardian, yes."
"So, you're an alien?!" She gasped in awe, and Queen Ramonda quietly scolded her again. Something Sòl was rather familiar with. It didn't offend Sòl, being referred to as 'an alien', because she was an alien to them, just as they're all aliens to her. The Princess was very young, Sòl didnt really understand Midgardian ages, but 14 was an infant to her people, so she assumed it was very young to the Midgardians too. So, she pursed her lips and shrugged her shoulders, essentially agreeing with that statement. She's an alien. Her agreement with Shuri only got Shuri more excited.
"What is it, exactly, that the Asgardian's wants from us?" T'Chaka questioned her, managing to get things back on track.
Sòl shrugged, she truly did not know why Heimdall wanted the Midgardian's. "Your family is to come with me, to Asgard. My father, King Odin; the All-father, wishes to discuss something of great importance. Apparently, it requires the Black Panther. Truthfully, I was not listening. I'd prefer to leave this planet as quickly as possible, and I still have several other Midgardians to find -- and my elder brother too!? So, if you all would not mind deciding quickly? All your needs will be taken care of when we arrive, so no need to pack anything. If you'd prefer to stay, then tell me so I may leave. Discuss." Sòl rushed to explain the situation to them, begging the Wakandan royal family to hurry up and decide, since there was still so much to do here.
Annoyingly, they did not 'hurry it up'. They argued with the council instead. T'Chaka and Shuri wanted to go, they desperately wanted to visit an alien planet and make allies with people beyond the stars. They saw this as a benefit for their nation. But, no one else shared the same opinions as the father and daughter... Prince T'Challa and Queen Ramonda, and their council, thought it was stupid and reckless. They didn't want their royal family traipsing off to another world, with somebody they've only known for five minutes -- somebody who, very obviously, didn't know why they were even here?! It was madness! There was no logical reason for them to agree to something as crazy as going to space with anyone they didn't know, regardless of whatever excuse they gave.
Though, all their arguing was pointless because King T'Chaka has made up his mind already. "I will come with you."
"Baba! No!" T'Challa protested. They all protested against the idea. "She could be lying! This could be a trick of some kind. We cannot just leave Wakanda."
Another argument broke out.
In the end, it was decided the royal family of Wakanda were going to space! W'Kabi and General Okoye were to go with them, to ensure their safety. Sòl was okay with it, and she tried her hardest to rush them onto her Longship, so they could leave.
As a lover of science, Princess Shuri was obsessed with the longship. She looked like how Thor looked whenever they were on Nidavellier creating new weapons. It's very amusing. The Asgardian Longships were the inspiration for the famed viking boats used on Midgard, when the people worshipped the Asgardians as deities. In addition to the seaworthieness of their Midgardian counterparts, they can sail as well through the Sea of Space stretching endlessly between the stars. They can fly and travel through space. The Asgardian's also used Skiffs, which were identical to their Longboats, only much smaller. They were usually only three people vehicles.
Okoye continued to eye Sòl, scowling at the Asgardian and whispered to T'Chaka in Wakandan. "My King, I am not too sure about this... this could all be a trap to get vibranium from us." She warned the King.
"Asgard has no need for vibranium. It is a weak metal, by our standards." Sòl spoke up, surprising them. She grinned cheekily at the horrified Okoye, then gently tapped a small circular disk which sat behind her ear. "I found my Galactic Translator."
"Bast!" Shuri gasped.
And the adults shared concerned looks. She could understand them, no matter the language they chose to speak. Sòl threw a box at T'Challa, he caught it with ease. T'Challa opened the box cautiously, only to see several identical disks inside. Sòl wanted them all to wear one. "Unless you can all somehow speak Asgardian, you're going to want to put those on. Otherwise this would have all been for nothing. You put it behind your ear and yes, it will hurt more than a Bilgesnipe stampede, but it's going to make everything much easier."
Shuri snatched a translator from the box and forced it into her skin before anyone could even think about stopping her... As you can probably imagine, they panicked when she stumbled and almost fell. She looked quite nauseous and she suddenly had the worst headache that any person has ever possibly experienced. It hurt like a bitch! Thankfully, the pain subsided as quickly as it came. She stood up straight and blinked in confusion, she did not feel any different. Her family were at her side, bombarding her with questions, wanting her to confirm that she was unharmed by the alien device she foolishly shoved into her skin. Sòl spoke. "Are you okay?"
"I am fine." Shuri replied. Everyone stared at Shuri, they hadn't understood what Sòl just asked her. Shuri's eyes light up with excitement, gasping. "Did it work?!"
Sòl laughed and nodded her head. "It did, I am speaking the language of my people."
Shuri beamed. "Awesome!"
Reassured that their daughter was okay, T'Chaka and Ramonda carefully placed a translator into their skin, and reacted as their daughter did but they were fine. So, T'Challa, Okoye and W'Kabi followed suit with their own galactic translators. They could now converse with one another no matter what language they preferred.
"Where to now?" Okoye demanded from the Asgardian princess, still quite unsure of the girl. Sòl didnt take it personally.
"Some place called New York?"
"To the Avengers." T'Challa had realised.
Sòl hummed, nodding. "My elder brother is there. Oh, I've a few stops on the way. Some child in a place called Queens and a soldier, who's name I have forgotten."

AN -- AAAAAAAAAH WELCOME <33 I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS FANFICTION! I DO REALLY LOVE MAKING ASGARDIAN OC'S. They are so much fun! Tell me why there's little to no fanfictions where the OC is not human?! Like, there are so many planets in the MCU, so many worlds they could be from?! You could even make up your own planet if you wanted too! Honestly, what you can do is endless. I think that's why I like Marvel so much, because there is so much room for the imagination!!!!

Chapter Text
Tony had froze in disbelief and confusion when FRIDAY announced the appearance of a viking ship hovering over the balcony of the tower. Tony really didn't know what to say to that... it was just so strange. He pulled up the cameras and there it was, a freaking viking longship?! Just floating in the air, parked on the side of his building like a car would park on the street. Tony's seen a lot of odd shit because of who he was, but this was just plain weird. So, the AI gathered the Avengers team, Tony was not going out there without backup! There was Steven, Natasha, Clint, Sam, Rhodey, Wanda, and Vision. The heroes were very silent, staring at the ship, just as clueless as he was. None of them knew where the ship had come from. It was not until Thor stepped out of their kitchen that they got an answer of what the hell was going on, and suddenly everything made sense. It's something to do with the Asgardian's.
Tony was the first to question Thor about the longship. "Uh, so were you expecting to have any guests of the Viking variety?"
"I was not." Thor was confused.
Great. Thor suddenly moved, heading to their balcony, and the Avengers followed behind, grabbing weapons on the way.
They stepped outside onto their balcony, and they heard a woman's voice, and she was complaining. "By the Gods, FINALLY! Do you have any idea how long I've been sat here, waiting for you all to show up?! The Wakandan's were better hosts."
Thor seemed to recognise the unknown woman. He beamed, exclaiming. "SÒL?!"
This Sòl finally stepped into view. And, by the Gods, was she stunning! Sòl had long blonde hair, pale skin, and light blue eyes; very tall and lean, and she was wearing a flowy blue dress, which showed off quite a lot of skin. Sòl was also very feisty. "Oh, you remember my name? I assumed that you would have forgotten with how often you are away. How special I feel."
Thor rolled his eyes, but he's smiling and quipped back, matching her level of sass and sarcasm. "How could I ever possibly forget the lady who set my balls on fire?" Okay, what the actual fuck? The Avengers and Wakandan's looked between Sòl and Thor in utter horror. Did she really set his balls on fire? She looks so proud of it too.
Sòl grinned at him and calmly threatened Thor. "Get on the ship or i will do it again."
"Sòl, what are you doing here?! You hate Midgard." Thor wondered, still amazed at her presence here and totally unfazed by her threats of violence, and Sòl huffed.
"Ugh, papa is making me do things!"
Papa... Sòl was Thor's sister.
Thor laughed.
"THERE'S ANOTHER ONE?!" Tony yelled, gasping at that thought. What was it with these Asgardian's and invading Earth?!
Sòl smiled at Tony, in a way which would earn him a slap from Pepper. "Darling, I'm the best one." She replied, flirtatiously.
"Stop it." Thor warned her.
Sòl frowned, gracefully jumping over the ship and she landed in front of Thor. "I'm just saying hello?! I thought you wanted me to like your friends?" She asked.
"I do, but never that much." He grumbled. Forever the over protective brother. It was sweet. Their banter and teasing was put on pause for a moment, so that they can hug one another, and say hello properly. They haven't seen each other in a couple of months, Thor has been travelling. He's been looking for the Infinity stones, after what happened with Ultron. So, Thor has been quite busy. Thor was due home in a few more months, but Heimdall needed him home now. Thor kissed her head and he muttered softly. "I have missed you."
"It has been very peaceful without you." Sòl grinned and Thor pinched Sòl's side, making her laugh and shove him away.
"What are you doing on Midgard?" Thor questioned her again, putting emphasis on it, hoping to highlight how important this was for him to know. Otherwise, he was going to overthink and he'll panic.
"I am not sure..." Sòl admitted, which got everyone's attention. Sòl sighed and tried to explain the little she knew. "Heimdall's seen something. I know not of what was shown, only that it has frightened him to the point that papa has me collecting the heroes of Midgard and letting them onto Asgard?! And you know that papa shares my feelings about this trash planet! Have you ever known the All-father to change his opinion about enemies?! Also, I threw a tantrum and he didn't cave! He ALWAYS caves! Always! Never in my 900 years of life has that happened? Thor, is this what it's like being you, the constant rejections from a parent? Because I do not like it."
"900 years and you still forget that I have got feelings... papa has spoilt you rotten." Thor pouted at his younger sister and the heroes snickered a laugh at Sòl's genuine confusion and shock with what her papa did. Was this kind of conversation normal for siblings? Most of them didn't have any siblings, so this was very new to them.
"ARE WE GOING OR WHAT?!" Shuri yelled from the longship, making everyone look up at her in surprise. The Avengets didn't recognise who Sòl's guests were.
Ramonda pulled her back. "Shuri!"
"My love, leave her. She's doing no harm." T'Chaka laughed at his daughter's antics. He loved seeing his Shuri having fun.
"You're too soft on her." Said Ramonda.
Thor looked at his sister, confused. Sòl's smile was blinding. "Look, brother! I have befriended some Midgardians! That's the royal family of Wakanda. It is time for us all to go!" She then ordered, looking back at the Avengers team, they all seemed to freeze under her gaze. Did she want them on Asgard?! THEY'RE GOING TO SPACE?! Anthony Edward Stark did not need to be told twice! He was going to space! Tony's going to visit Asgard, see all of the aliens and learn alien science, and maybe never come back to Earth? Who knows what's going to happen?! He'd already started to walk to the Viking longship when Rhodey stopped him and pulled him back. Tony's too excited about this! Rhodey needed to be Tony's impulse control, whether Tony liked it or not. If it weren't for Rhodey, the billionaire would probably already be lost in space somewhere.. doing God knows what with God knows who.
"Do we get a say in this? What if we want to stay on Earth?" Rhodey questioned the Asgardian siblings, raising his hand.
Sòl smiled innocently, she threatened the man. "Well, you can come to Asgard with your cock attached, or without your cock attached? The choice is up to you."
They faced Thor, he warned them. "She is not joking... she will cut off your cock. She has done it many times before." And all of the men instantly started walking over to the Asgardian Longship.
Natasha smirked. "I like you."
"I like me too." Sòl replied, instantly.
Sòl waited until everyone was walking in front of her before she started to follow. T'Challa threw down the ladders and they started climbing up the ladders, then he and W'Kabi helped them all into the ship. And to their horror, they saw three people gagged and tied up with thick Asgardian chains. An unconscious man in his early 30's, with long brown hair, and a missing limb. There was a woman in scrubs, she was in her 30's too and a teenage boy, no older than 15 years old, scared out of his witts. The woman and teenage boy were huddled together, trying to hug. "Bucky?" Steve mumbled under his breath, eyeing the unconscious one-armed person. His voice was barely audible and he's already got tears in his eyes, staring in disbelief. Everybody else was more focused on the young woman and the teenage boy. They turned to Sòl, not sure of how to process what they were currently seeing.
The Asgardian princess did not seem to think anything was wrong about this. She smiled and said. "That is May Parker and her nephew, Peter, though you'll probably know him better as Spider-man. He is so strong! And that is James Barnes. Whom you all already know. He was very angry."
Thor closed his eyes and exhaled. "Sister, I love you, but what the Hel is all this? We have discussed this kind of behaviour!"
Sòl shrugged her shoulders and she was quick to defend herself. "They refused to come willingly! So, I just kidnapped them all. It was fairly easy. Although, the babe has potential to be a great warrior, but he is in need of some proper training! It was like fighting with an elfling." Sòl laughed.
"For the last time, I am not a baby!"
"Okay." Sòl snorted a laugh.
Peter scowled. "I'm the same age as her!" He argued, pointing at Princess Shuri. He did not like being treated as such, it was embarrassing! He's Spider-man, for God's sake! If he can save the entire world from bad guys, he can be treated like an adult. "I don't know how Asgard does age, but a babe is, like, months to five years old." He started rambling, getting flustered which only made his rambling much worse. The words just kept spilling out. Its like he just couldn't control his mouth, so Sòl shoved an a balled up piece of cloth into it.
"Sister." Thor sighed once more, he really didn't approve of her strange methods.
She argued. "He truly does not shut up."
Thor raised his eyebrow and he reminded her. "He is a babe. You've frightened him."
"Character building." She shrugged.
Sòl may or may not be crazy, the heroes of Midgard were a little too frightened to ask about her mental state. They barely got in their seats when the ship jerked forward and started to move, and Sòl snickered a laugh as they all stumbled and started to hang onto whatever they could, as tightly as they could, and Thor gave her another look. With a sigh, Sòl stepped away from the stirring stick and let Thor fly the ship, making the flight much more smooth. As Thor was flying them, Sòl moved around the ship with her box of translators. They watched in confusion as she knelt down besides the unconscious James Barnes, and unceremoniously attached the small device behind his ear. Much to her shock, he didn't move or cry out in pain. "What is that?!" Steve demanded from her, getting protective over his long lost friend. Steve stood up when she didn't respond to him and moved to get in her way. Steve asked his question again. "What was that?!"
Sòl smiled, giggling a little and replied. "You think you could take me in a fight? Thor, your friends are adorable."
"Captain, friend, Sòl did not harm James." Thor promised Steve, and moved his hair to show an identical disk behind his own ear. "It is just a translator, it allows us to communicate regardless of the language we speak. Everybody who is consistently travelling between planets wears them. It will make your time in space a lot easier."
Sòl gave Steve the small disk, letting him to inspect it. She explained its function in the simplest terms possible. "A translator implant that connects directly to the left hemisphere of your brain. I am unfamiliar with 1930's Midgardian learning, so that's the side of the brain where language and speech happen, if you did not know. That is how I'm able to understand and talk to you." Steve scowled at her, he really didn't appreciate Sòl's patronising tone... it was just unnecessary. He does not know who she is, how could he trust her gadgets?
"Will it hurt?" May wondered.
Sòl nodded. "Yes."
"It didn't hurt for long, and now I can talk to something called an... A'askavariians?" Said Shuri, offering the woman a smile.
Thor looked at his sister, astonished with what he was hearing. "They're new to the galaxy and one of the first species you've introduced them to is the A'askavariians? There are plenty other softer species out there. The A'askavariians, really?!"
"Shuri asked about tentacles! What was I supposed to say?" Sòl huffed, petulantly.
Thor shrugged. "What about a Flerkin?"
Sòl pouted, quite childishly and huffed in frustation. "You know I hate talking about Flerkins! Mummy won't let me have one! Apparently they're 'too dangerous', which is a load of Bilgesnipe because that Fury character has one! If that Midgardian can handle owning a Flerkin, I definitely can!"
Mummy? Exactly how old was Sòl in Earth years?! Although, that question when out the window when Thor replied, using the same terminology. "Mummy won't have a flerkin in the palace, not because she has no trust in you, but because Flerkin's are dangerous creatures. She'd sooner allow a Bilgesnipe into the palace. As for Fury's Flerkin, he belongs to Captain Marvel."
"Fury character-- you mean Fury, as in our Fury? You mean Nick Fury, the Director of SHIELD?! That Fury?!" Clint stammered in shock, trying to think back when he could have possibly ever seen some sort of pet alien running round his SHIELD office. He would know if his boss had an a pet alien on base, right?! How could he not know?! Clint's one of the best spies in the entire world -- known for his amazing eyes -- he should have noticed an alien somewhere at SHIELD -- or anywhere Fury has settled really! How could it be impossible that he failed to notice someone with tentacles? Clint was starting to spiral. How long has there been an alien pet amongst them?!
Thor and Sòl nodded. Thor added. "Yes. I believe the Flerkin was named Goose?"
Nat's jaw dropped. "You mean his cat?"
WHAT?! This was new information, which Tony loved. "Fury's got a pet cat?! Fury?!"
Wait... that cat is really an alien?
"We should have stayed in Wakanda." Said T'Challa, quietly whispering to Okoye and W'Kabi whilst he watched the Asgardians bicker with each other, and the heroes of America joining in with this conversation, about a cat, or an alien... or both, T'Challa wasnt really sure anymore. It's confusing and he was already missing home. These people were all crazy, and they were going to get him, and his family, killed. Once this was over, T'Challa hoped to never see the Asgardians and Avengers ever again. His life in Wakanda was pretty great and he'd much prefer to keep it that way, because whenever his family got involved with the US, something always went wrong.
Shuri looked up at her brother. "So, you're not even a little excited to go to space?"
... maybe a little.

Chapter Text
Peter was freaking out. An alien princess -- which, firstly, what the fuck -- just outted him as Spider-man to his Aunt May, then proceeded to kidnap them both and now, he's on some weird Viking longship that's flying up to space, with the Avengers and the Wakandan royal family! What the hell was his life!? Peter was only fifteen years old, this definitely wasn't normal teenage behaviour! He didn't know what to say or do, these Asgardian chains were chaffing and, for some reason, dulled his strength, which was incredibly inconvenient. May's crying still, completely freaked out, while the Avengers were having a conversation about a pudgy orange cat, that happened to have tentacles inside it's mouth. Peter will not pass out in front of Tony Stark! He wanted to cry, but he won't do that either! Who knows, maybe he was going to have fun with his kidnappers?!
"Ex-excuse me... uhm, Miss Odinsdottir?" He awkwardly stammered, trying to gain Sòl's attention. It worked, unfortunately... She turned to face Peter, knelt down and then jammed an implant into his neck. It burned worse than the spider bite. Luckily, he had his enhanced healing to get him through the worst of it. May, however, did not have any super human abilities, so it went into her skin and May started to cry again. It really did hurt, really badly.
"What do you want?" Sòl asked Peter. He shrunk back and suddenly could not talk. Sòl looked at Thor in a panic and told her brother. "I think I've broken the babe?!"
Tony Stark snorted a laugh, and shooked his head. Peter probably should not be as happy as he was, to have his idol laugh at him. Tony reassured the two Asgardian's. "The kid isnt broken, he's a nerdy teenage high school boy who wears tights to fight crime and you're a very beautiful woman. This is very normal nerdy behaviour."
"Trust." Rhodey nodded his head, patting Tony's shoulder and said. "He was one."
Tony wasn't ashamed. "That, I was. And now I am one of the richest men, ever!"
Sòl looked confused. "What is a-- nerdy?" The word felt so weird coming from her.
Their robot -- android was probably more appropriate terminology -- spoke up with a sweet smile and kindly explained to the Asgardian Princess. "Google describes a nerd as someone with a strong and often intense interest in a very specific subject, especially intellectual or academic areas. And, can also imply a lack of social skills or awkwardness, and the connotation of nerdy can vary depending on the context. It can be used in a self-deprecating way or as a source of pride for some." Wanda smiled proudly and nodded at Vision, the android seemed to turn to her as soon as he stopped talking, as if to ask her if that was right. Wanda wasn't 100% on that, as English was not her first language.
Sòl's eyes lit up with understanding and she grinned widely, then she essentially cheered. "LIKE LOKI?!" Her volume made everyone jump, she could be so loud.
Thor laughed loudly and agreed with Sòl. "They are nerdy! With all of their books."
"So, what is it that you want, nerd?"
Flashbacks. This will give him flashbacks to middle school. He sheepishly held out his chained arms then smiled bashfully. "S-since we're nearly in space, would you maybe... consider taking these off now? I mean, we're all kinda triends here, right?" He anxiously asked Sòl, since there was nowhere for him to go, safely, with May, he wasn't going to try and escape. Falling from this height, without any real support anywhere, would just end up killing Peter. He definitely wasn't going to risk his Aunt May's life with a swan dive over the side of an Asgardian's flying boat.
"Darling sister, just let the poor boy free before he pisses himself. And his Aunt too." Thor told Sòl, he felt horrible for the way Peter and May had been treated.
She freed the Parkers, but decided it was probably best for everybody here to keep Barnes tied down, given who he was. His mind was fractured dangerously and that made Barnes very unsafe to be around... hence when Sòl was forced to dismantle his mental arm, and separate it from his body. Steve, unsurprisingly, wasn't happy with their decision. Sòl was stunned with Steve's coldness. Steve's love for Barnes definitely clouded his judgement. No one else protested this particular decision for their safety. It's a good decision, probably the only good decision that they've heard come from Sòl... mayhaps there was hope for her just yet. And then, she threatened the group of Midgardians and warned the people of what may happen should they try to go over the ship once they have left Midgard's atmosphere. The ship was the one thing keeping their minds and bodies from exploding in space... the was a very good shield around their Longship.
"I am kind of terrified and attracted to her at the same time... anyone else? It is just me?" Sam mumbled to the people sitting closest to him, eyeing Sòl as she went to control some space mechanics he really did not understand. It wasn't just him. Sòl was gorgeous, and weirdly very enticing, they couldn't wait to see what she said or did next. It was all so exciting for them.
"She is stunning." Rhodey quietly agreed. "But I think she might be on something." Rhodey whispered, he and Sam eyed Sòl. Sam thought the exact same thing...
"Holy shit, guys, we're literally in space?!" Clint suddenly gasped, staring at what's now appearing all around them.
Space. They're freaking in space!?
Like, actually.
Space was so beautiful.
They all now understood why they were travelling by Longship instead of through the Bifrost. Words couldn't describe just how stunning space was. It was like they were entering a fairytale, it's so perfect. The Midgardians were quite speechless, jumping out of their seats and leaning as far over the ship as possible without the risk of dying. They were desperate to see more. Even General Okoye was smiling!? They have probably never seen the stars and planets so close. It was funny. They were all like children, noticing the outside world for the very first time. Midgard was laughably behind the other planets in the Nine Realms -- they were actually behind most planets, really... They were reluctant to explore space, though given what Loki put them through, it wasn't too urprising. Their first introduction to species beyond their own was a Chitauri invasion. Maybe this will change their minds, and they will even join the rest of the universe?
Sòl looked incredibly proud of herself for showing the Midgardian's space, Thor let out a little chuckle and shooked his head at the smug look on Sòl's face.
"This is so cool!" Peter squealed.
May was panicking at how giddy he was. Peter was rushing round like they weren't in space and they might die at any given moment. "BE CAREFUL!" She almost had a panic attack, when he started to climb much higher on the ship. Then Aunt May remembered he was Spider-man and she was panicking for a whole new reason.
The Avengers stared in disbelief when he started to climb the Asgardians longship. The kid really was that new vigilante from Queen. Tony barked out an amazed laugh and moved closer towards Peter, he was more interested in the kid. "HOW?!"
Peter smiled at him -- his hero! His hero who was talking to him. "I was bitten by a radioactive spider on a trip to Oscorp."
And Tony scoffed. "Oscorp? Of course."
Talk about a dodgy company...
Princess Shuri looked just as excited as Tony. She stood by his side. "A spider bit you and now you can stick to things?!"
He nodded, blushing now that everyone's attention was on him. "Yeah, basically."
Shuri grinned at Peter. "Cool."
Peter beamed and admitted to them all. "I'm also super strong and fast, and I can even shoot webs. Like a real spider."
Shuri sputtered at that, a little grossed out. "Webs? Like-- like out of your butt?!"
"NO!" Peter yelped, turning red. "Not-not out of my-- butt... out of my wrists! They come out my wrists! See!" He frantically corrected Shuri, not wanting his favourite heroes to think he had webs in his butt. He pulled up his sleeves, he jumped back down and he practically threw himself at Shuri and Tony, showing them the barely noticeable slits in his wrists.
"WHOA!" Shuri and Tony both gasped in awe, inspecting his wrists. Peter has the ability to spin organic spider webs! It was so freaking awesome!
"The babe stole my thunder." Sòl pouted at her brother, watching as everyone was more focused on Peter than her and the space around them. Thor laughed at that complaint, and he pulled his sister into a side hug, and he squeezed her, a little too tightly. Sòl started groaning in pain, tying to escape his hold but they didn't call her brother the 'mighty Thor' for no reason at all... Thor was annoyingly strong. And the second she began struggling to get away from him, he just held onto her tighter. Its terribly inconvenient. Thor, the cocky shit, knew that he was a stronger than both of his younger siblings (physically, anyway) and he loved to use it against them. Just like how Sòl loved to use her fire and Loki used their magic. Sòl yelped, groaning as his hold got much tighter. "BY THE NINE! STOP IT! YOU ARE SUCH A BRUTE!"
Thor was laughing and taunting her, and everyone turned back to face the siblings when hearing Sòl squeal. "Try to get out." The Avengers couldn't believe their eyes, they haven't seen this side of Thor before. While Thor knew how to laugh and tease, he was normally so serious, which made sense given the fact they were usually in the middle of a crisis whenever he came to earth. Still, they were shocked.
"I'M TELLING MUMMY!" Sòl yelled at her brother, but he just kept laughing at her. They were practically wrestling now, and Thor was definitely winning their fight... until Sòl's hand started to glow and burn hotter, and she shoved her hand in Thor's face, blinding and burning him. Naturally, Thor shrieked and jumped away, and Sòl straightened herself out with a huff.
Thor rubbed his eyes. "I can't see."
"It's just a little sun, be a man about it."
"I'm telling mummy." Thor repeated Sòl's threats, groaning, and blinking frantically. He moved his hands away and everyone saw the damage done; his eyebrows and eyelashes had all been singed off, and he had burns all over his eyes and face. Thor already started to heal, but it's still gross. Thor could see again and scowled at Sòl, who was smiling innocently, stirring their Longship like she hadn't done anything.
"What?" She asked him, innocently. Thor frowned at her and she started giggling, the two of them started bickering.
"Uhm, guys?!" Steve tried to get anyone's attention, but with Thor and Sòl taunting one another, that seemed impossible to do. They were ignoring him -- or couldn't hear him. Steve had to yell. "GUYS!"
Thor and Sòl turned. "WHAT?!"
"What is that?!" Steve asked, pointing at a speeding ball of light or fire, or some kind of energy, coming towards their longship as a rather scary speed. The Midgardians panicked, rushing to duck for cover. They didn't want to die in space! Sòl rolled her eyes at their dramatics, that was clearly a person not a weapon or an asteroid! They were not actually in any danger, and even if they were, their longship would protect them all from harm. Asgard were famous for their defence weapons. Sòl normally wouldn't care whether or not they lived or died, but the All-father and Heimdall do... so she cannot let anything happen to any of the Midgardians they have summoned to Asgard. She would get into trouble.
You could imagine their embarrassment when they weren't suddenly murdered by an asteroid or an alien weapon, but we're greeted by a glowing blonde woman.
"Hello Carol." Sòl smiled.
Carol bowed her head and smiled at Sòl, greeting her like an old friend. Frowning in concern at the state of Thor's face but he didn't look too bothered, so she didn't ask about it. He knew them long enough to know what probably happened to him. Sòl did it. "Princess Sòl. Prince Thor. Nice to see you again. I got a summons from your father, so I thought I'd come join you here." Carol didn't want to fly all the way to Asgard. It really was exhausting.
Thor nodded at her, smiling through his pain and assured her. "Captain Danvers. Please, you are always welcome here."
"CAROL?!" Rhodey gasped, in shock. He knew this glowing blonde woman?! They were in the freaking Airforce together!? They even dated for like three years! It's been several years since they have seen each other... Carol disappeared one day, and everyone thought she was dead. But here she was, with amazing new powers and flying through space, spending time with the Asgardian royal family. It was a lot to take in. Seeing Carol here might be more of a shock to Rhodey than being in space, on some Viking longship! Rhodey was utterly speechless. He truly couldn't believe she was here, flying. How long as she been living in space?! He had so many questions that he needed to ask her.
Carol was just as surprised to see him as he was to see her. She smiled awkwardly and she waved. "Hey, Jimmy. Tony." Carol spotted the billionaire stood behind him.
"Carol." Tony waved back, dazed.
Carol carefully lowered herself onto their longship. She stopped glowing. She now looked human, and they were just staring at each other. Sòl grimaced, as her eyes flickered between them and commented. "Awkward silences and tension make me very uncomfortable. I need one of you to say something, or to go sit elsewhere."
Carol pursed her lips and she nodded her head, then she pointed to where T'Chaka and his family were sat, and she told Sòl. "I'll just go over here." Carol and the royal family of Wakanda were fast friends.
Wakanda's King and Queen were already in stitches, dying of laughter, because of the conversations that Carol began. Even T'Challa, Okoye and W'Kabi liked her. And with their final passenger on board, Thor sped up a little, wanting to get home. The Thunderer preferred traveling via Bifrost, it was just so much quicker. He hated the wait that came with travelling by ship. He wasn't the most patient person. He could not stand having to stay still for too long. For him, that was just torture. Sòl, on the other hand, loved being able to relax. She liked the journey. It's fun for her. If Frigga and Odin let her, she would lie outside all day and soak up all of the sun. Being the Goddess of the sun, that shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody. Loki constantly poked fun at this, though. They called her a sunflower, and proclaimed to the entire realm that she photosynthesised. Sòl did not appreciate their jokes very much, even though Loki wasn't entirely wrong.
"Is anyone hungry?" Sòl asked the group of travellers, holding containers of foods which none of them recognised. "This is all safe for Midgardian consumption!"
Peter shyly admitted. "I'm a little hungry." Sòl grinned at him and threw a container at his head. Luckily, Peter caught it. "Are you sure Za-- Zargnuts... are safe for me to eat? Because this looks questionable and I already have a sensitive stomach." Peter asked the Asgardian's, concerned with what she's just given him to eat.
"Zargnuts are delicious, Nerd! And pretty expensive, so you will eat them!" Sòl told Peter, offended that he thought she was going to give them something that could hurt them -- or, potentially, even kill them. Sòl would not have spent all that time on Midgard, forcing the heroes to come with her, just to poison them on her longship.
Carol laughed. "Yes, they're safe to eat. And why are you calling him a Nerd?"
Sòl replied, shrugging. "I was told that's what he is." And Carol was laughing.
Peter hesitated, but he still ate them. His lit up in awe. "They taste like Lays chips!"
"I don't know what that is." Said Sòl. She continued to offer some food and water, and the longship quietened down. They were pleasantly surprised with what they were eating and drinking. As strange as they were, they were delicious. Everyone was happy. Chatting, eating and getting to know one another. They were starting to question why them!? What could they possibly do that was so important, King Odin and Heimdall wanted to see them?! The Avengers made sense, they're Thor's friends and all had incredible skills. Peter was the Spider-man while Carol could do whatever she did. But what did the royal family of Wakanda have to do with this? Why the hell did Heimdall and Odin want The Winter Soldier? The Wakandan's were very difficult to crack... they weren't going to give up the secrets they're hiding. The more they all spoke with one another, the more questions they had.
"So, what's Asgard like?" Wanda asked.
Thor and Sòl were smiling, they truly love their home. Thor spoke softly, showing a softer side of himself, which they did not really see often. "Asgard is not round like Earth, it's a flat, and it is much bigger. Our realm is one of the oldest and wealthiest in the entire galaxy. It is more commonly is known as The Golden Realm. Once you see it, you will understand why. Asgard is rich with wildlife; we have mountains and forests that stretch on forever. There is a vast ocean which sparkles like diamonds and it eventually spills over the edge, into the sea of space. There is one major city, smaller villages scattered throughout the entire realm, and then Heimdall's Bifrost. The Asgardian people are kind and loving and while we may look similar to you, we are quite different, culturally."
Sòl rolled her eyes at their confusion and she explained to them all, a little harshly. Sòl was being very serious with this. She's protective over her people, and she wont tolerate any prejudices towards Asgardian culture. "What my brother is trying to say is; keep those Midgardian sensibilities to yourself if you see men snogging. We do not punish and kill people on Asgard for who they love... unless, you know, they're paedophiles, then you may kill them."
Well, that's them told.
"We would never do such a thing." Queen Ramonda promised them, then smiled at her and informed the princess. "Wakanda is quite the same when it comes to love."
"Also..." Tony started, raising his hands at her, Tony then gestured between himself and the Avengers team members, and he questioned Sòl, with a raised brow. "Look at us, Princess, do you honestly think any of us are straight? We fight crime in thigh high boots and bullet proof tights."
Tony made a good point. Still, Sòl argued with him, scoffing and crossing her arms. "Well, it is not my fault your planet has a reputation amongst the galaxy!! Nobody likes Midgard." She proclaimed.
Thor pouted. "I like Midgard."
"You've always had questionable tastes."
Notes:
AN -- Lmao anyone who has not read any of the comics are gonna be so confused as to why I paired Carol with Rhodey 😭 I'M SORRY BUT THEY ARE VERY CUTE IN THE COMIC BOOKS. RHODEY DESERVES LOVE TOO!! He should have 100% been in Captain Marvel, I'm still very bitter about that 3 that would've been iconic. And I personally don't ship Carol x Valkyrie 🫣 i just don't see it. They don't even have any scenes together?! It always confuses me when people ship characters who haven't even interacted before. Seriously, how do people do that because I think I need me some of that ability?! ANYWAY, HERE'S ANOTHER CHAPTER <33
Q. What sort of magical creatures should be native to Asgard in this fanfiction?!

Chapter Text
When James woke up, he panicked. The last thing he could remember was some blonde broad with a weird accent kicking his ass. And she'd pinned him with ease, ripped off his metal arm and tied him up, then forced him onto her viking ship. She then knocked him unconscious... He had never been taken down so easily before. It was a little terrifying. HYDRA have spent the last seventy years turning him into an unstoppable killing machine, only for him to be taken down by a lady half his size... HYDRA certainly are not going to be happy with that. He doesn't know how long he'd been unconscious for, but when he woke up, he didn't recognised anything. They're not in Romania anymore. Steve was here! Steve Rogers. Steve was his last mission before he ran away from HYDRA. He was supposed to kill Steve, but he couldn't do it. The Captain made him pause. He knew him. He loved him. James didn't have his memories from before HYDRA, but knew Steve Rogers was important. So, after he ran, he started looking for answers.
He found out a lot. Most importantly, his birth name; James Buchanan Barnes. He was an American soldier, who apparently died in early 1945, and Steve Rogers was his oldest and closest friend. He had two younger sisters and two loving parents -- they were originally from Romania. There was so much information on who he was before HYDRA molded him into their 'fist'. Unlearning the things HYDRA's instilled in him felt impossible... He didn't know who he was anymore, and he hated it. James was overwhelmed with emotions that he didn't even know he could experience.
That's why he avoided Steve... that's why he didn't go to The Avengers for help. He was completely lost, and Steve looked at him like he was still that same fun-loving, cheeky-chappy from the 1940's. He didn't know how to handle that... he didn't know how to face Steve's disappointment.
James needed to figure it out on his own, without their expectations. James learnt everything about Bucky Barnes -- who he used to be -- but remembered none of it...
It was confusing, and so frustrating, and he was handling it the best he could, but the truth of his past was a daily struggle. HYDR put him into the machine a couple days before he ran, so everything before the Helicarrier incident was a blur.
So, having Steve Rogers in his face right now wasn't good for him. That soft smile on Steve's face stirred up awful feelings, and the tears in his eyes made him want to dive over board. Steve spoke so gently, in a way that he wasn't used too. HYDRA agents were always screaming at him, or they'd just ignore him and act like he was not there, and he does not talk to normal people unless he really had too. He didn't respond to Steve, he just stared at Steve, and making the Captain feel unbelievably awkward. He stumbled over his own feet and stammered out his worry, then finally turned around and looked at the others in the viking space ship for their help.
James recognised mostly everyone here; the Avengers team, original and new, and some royal family from a little country in Africa. He doesn't remember which one. But he did not recognise the teenage boy and young woman sat next to him. Or the blonde woman in a colourful flight suit.
Then, he spotted the lady who kicked his ass and kidnapped him. She was smiling and wiggling her fingers as if to say hello to him. They were all staring at him. They all looked nervous. They all knew exactly who he was. And they were all waiting to see what he does, if they needed to fight him. He doesn't want to fight anymore. He longed for peace. He longed for a corner of the world where nobody knew him as 'the winter soldier'; where no could reach him. He just wanted to be left alone.
James turned to face his kidnapper and he demanded from her. "Where am I?!" It hurt to talk. James wasn't used to it. His handlers never let him speak English, so it was uncomfortable on his tongue.
"Space." She nonchalantly replied.
James finally scanned his surroundings. He really was in space. He could see the stars and planets, and asteroids floating by. They were protected by a force field, which shined in certain lights. "It's okay, Buck, you are safe here." Steve promised him and James jerked back when Steve reached out to touch him, probably trying to offer him some kind of comfort, but it wasn't welcome. James didn't like to be touched. Steve jolted in surprise, hurt by his rejection, but Steve didn't try to touch him after that and even took a step away from him. That's all James cared about.
"My name is Sòl." His kidnapped told him, slowly walking over, making sure James could see her every little movement. She all but shoved Steve out of the way, knelt down in front of James. "I am Asgardian, Thor is my brother and I'm sure you know who he is. He helped save Midgard from my other sibling, Loki. We are on our way to Asgard. Asgard is our home planet."
This really confused James. "Why? Why are we going to your-- home planet..." He was stunned. They were in outer space?!
"I don't have that answer." Sòl admitted to him, with a shrug. James appreciated the honesty. "But you are safe. You've got my family's protection, I swear it. Asgard can help you. Our healers can fix what HYDRA broke. We could give you back your mind and body. Nobody will control you again." Sòl fiercely promised him. It sounded too good to be true, and he didn't want to get his hopes up but, who knows what other world's were capable of? Maybe they can help or maybe they'll only make it worse? He didn't know what to believe. Although, he knew he wasn't in a rush to let anyone else into his head anytime soon. Sòl saw his hesitation, and she quickly moved on from the subject. She gave him food and water, and the space to think about it. He didn't actually know what he was eating, but it tastes really freaking great.
"Can you really do that? Fix what HYDRA did to him?" Steve asked Sòl, he couldn't believe what she's just promised Bucky.
"Of course, Asgard is thousands of years ahead of Midgard." Sòl replied, in a 'duh' tone of voice, sounding offended that he would even dare question her. She really did not like these Midgardians very much. Well, she liked the Wakandan's and Peter, but she was not a fan of the Avengers -- well, it's mostly just Steven.
Thor jumped in. "Our Aunt, Lady Eir, she is the Goddess of Healing. She can cure all ailments of the mind, body and soul." Lady Eir was the one who healed Loki of whatever The Other had done to them.
Steve's eyes lit up. "That's great!"
"But only if he agrees." Sòl told him. "She will never work with an unwilling patient."
Bucky had to agree ! Why wouldn't he?!
"Steve." Sam cautioned, walking up to his friend with a sympathetic expression on his face that Steve really didn't like. They were all going to scold him, about Bucky, like they have done before. But, Sam was kind and gentle about it, unlike everybody else, who seemed to think he responded better to aggression and force. "One step at a time." Sam softly reminded Steve.
"Were you lovers?" Sòl questioned Steve, causing a few heads to turn. Shocked by how bluntly she'd asked. Thor closed his eyes and he let out a long suffering sigh.
Steve was blushing. "Wh-what?!"
"You and Barnes... Were you lovers?" Sòl asked, and she was just as bluntly as the first time. Even James was listening. He would like to know too. James knew bits and pieces of his life with Steve. None of it made sense, but he got the sense that their relationship went much deeper than just friendship. Steve looked like he was about to pass out. Sòl was giggling at his mortification and she added. "There is no shame in it, Steve. He is very attractive."
"We-- we weren't-- .... we're just friends."
Sòl smirked. "But you wanted to be?"
"Sòl, sister, stop torturing the poor man." Thor chuckled at Sòl's teasing, dragging her away from Steve. "I am very sorry."
Steve was still blushing red. "It's okay."
Thor turned to face his sister, chastising her for her lack of tact and reminded her. "Sòl, we have just been over this! Steven is from a time where men are imprisoned and even killed for loving other men! You cannot just ask people if they are lovers. Same sex relationships are still outlawed in some parts of their world, cruel as it is. And even so, I cannot imagine his history with James to be an easy topic for Steve to speak on. Doubtless, he's still grieving the love they once shared, before HYDRA and Nazi's waged war across Europe."
"Right..." Sòl pursed her lips and turned to Steve with a shrug, and explained to him. "I had forgotten, I apologise, Captain. By the Nine, it is no wonder why Loki tried to become your evil overlord! Brother, could you imagine how they would react if they weren't allowed to be with Ubbe because he has a cock?!" She laughed loudly.
Thor was smiling, there was a softness to his expression. He proclaimed to the heroes, actually sounding proud of their sibling. "Loki would wage war for Ubbe."
"Who is Ubbe?!" Clint wondered, wanting to what kind of person could possibly fall in love with someone like Loki?! The very same Loki who used magic to control his mind; killed thousands of innocent people and even tried to kill their brother?! Clint's finding it rather hard to believe someone could love them after everything they did. Clint did not care why they did it, they still did it! They weren't mind controlled when they destroyed New Mexico! Loki forced Clint to kill SHIELD agents -- his brothers and sisters in arms; people who were his friends and family! He was forced to help steal and invade, and attack Natasha. He hated Loki. Clint's pissed at how casually they were talking about Loki. Loki should be rotting in a cell somewhere, not living in a lush palace with servants and a man they would wage wars for! It was not fair on the thousands who were killed!
Sòl looked at Clint. "Ubbe commands the Einherjar. Odin's army. I wouldn't speak ill of this relationship when you meet Ubbe. Ubbe is a God of war, a Beserker, and has the temper to match. He's quick to make the square, and you will lose against him. They call him 'Widow Maker'." Sòl warned the archer, in a rather eerie tone of voice which sent shivers down his spine. Peter mouthed a 'whoa' at Shuri, the teenagers looked so excited to meet this supposed beast of a man. The others thought Sòl's warning to be more than a little ominous. But, the relationship now made sense.
Thor rolled his eyes. Sòl always made his life so dramatic. Thor assured the heroes of Ubbe's good character. "Treat him with respect and he shall do the same. He is a good person. But yes, Ubbe will definitely make the square if he feels he has too."
"What does that mean, exactly?" T'Challa wondered, actually excited to learn more about Asgardian culture, since they knew so little about Thor -- just about Asgard in general. It has been five years since Thor crash landed in New Mexico, and nobody really knew anything about him.
"It is a challenge of combat, either to first blood or to death. Branches are placed in a square pattern on the ground, and they fight inside it. Once their fight has ended, the matter is officially settled, regardless of who wins." Sòl explained to them.
Tony snorted. "That's a little medieval."
"It is our way." Thor shrugged.
Sòl grinned and helpfully added. "And it is very effective. And entertaining to watch, especially when they strip out of leathers and they choose to fight bare-chested."
Thor cringed. "I don't want to hear this."
Sòl smirked at her older brother and she started teasing Thor again. Making Thor squirm was Sòl's duty, as Thor's younger sibling. She'd be doing him a disservice, otherwise and she cannot have that. "We could talk about what you fancy instead? I am quite certain your humans will love to hear about Lady Sif? Should I tell papa to dig out our family's ancestral sword?" Thor gave Sòl a look, and Sòl's grin grew, and the Midgardians started to bombard Thor with questions, very enthusiastic.
"Why?" Thor exhaled.
Sòl shrugged sweetly. "Why not?"
And that's how they began a conversation about Thor's love life. Lady Sif was one of his closest friends. They fell in love fairly easily, and nobody was surprised when it happened. And they've been together for about as long as Sòl has been alive. They married soon after. Frigga and Odin were now pushing them for grandchildren. The realm needed Heirs, but Asgardian's were semi-immortal, and they weren't in a rush to have children. Much to his annoyance, Sòl and Loki brought up children as often as possible, and primarily when Odin and Frigga were there. As firstborn son, there were expectations Thor needed to live up too; marriage, children, becoming King. It wasn't as fun as one may think, so Thor's siblings felt it their duty to make it worse for him. And they were very creative about it. Their magic tended to play a big role.
With everyone distracted with Thor's love life, Sòl skipped back over to James. He's sitting where she left him, silently eating his alien snacks and watching everybody, and James' entire body tensed when she walked over to him. "Can I help you?"
"What would you like me to call you?" Sòl asked him. That question really confused him. "Are you Sargeant Barnes, or Bucky? Would you prefer us to call you James? Or the Winter Soldier? Or an entirely new name?" She questioned him.
He was silent, thinking about it. Then he looked up at her then introduced himself to her, still hesitant. "My name is James." He liked James. James sounded right. He was James Barnes. Sòl smiled at him.
Sòl nodded. "I will make sure everybody knows." And she will kick Steve's ass if he refuses to acknowledge this decision.
Notes:
AN -- JAMES MY LOVE <33 I love Stucky, but why would I make anything easy lol?!They're going to be on Asgard soon and it is going so fun. I plan to make Frigga and Ramonda besties who judge their sons of their actions. T'Chaka and Odin are going to make one kick ass alliance ❤️ so, as a reminder... Hela is Odin's younger sister in this NOT his daughter. Lady Eir, is also his sister, and Eir is another OC of mine. Hela is the middle child. Them middle children really love trying to take over the world lol
Q. What headcanons do you have about James Buchanan Barnes? In whatever era you would like? 1940's? Winter Soldier? Post-Endgame Buck?

Chapter Text
Asgard was known as 'The Golden Realm' because every surface was golden. Even their water sparkled like precious metals. They came over the Bifrost's observatory, and the famous rainbow bridge, and they were in awe of their home. Thor helped Ramonda and T'Chaka to the front of the ship, smiling. Was this how outsiders felt when they flew through Wakanda's sheilds and they see the real city?! As a King and Queen, despite them being Midgardian's, T'Chaka and Ramonda took priority. They were going to be first Midgardians to set foot on Asgardian soil in over a thousand years. More protocols. Their landing was rough; their longship slammed, hard, and everybody inside jerked violently, making the Midgardians groan. They all turned to face Sòl, and she laughed. "Whoops."
Thor pulled her away from the stick. "You are no longer allowed to pilot a longship." And Sòl started laughing again.
"What about the skiffs?" She wondered.
Thor rolled his eyes. She was a menace.
Peter shrieked. "YOU LIVE HERE?!"
There was soft laughter, everyone turned around to see a tall, gorgeous woman, in a golden dress and extravagant jewellery, was standing at the longship's ramp. She had been waiting for them to step down, but she got a little impatient. Seeing this woman, it was like Thor had turned back into a little boy. He was grinning, holding his arms out and exclaimed, rushing over towards the golden woman. "MUMMY!" It was actually very cute, but also hilarious, given the size difference. Thor was huge compared to his mummy. She'd basically disappeared when Thor hugged her.
"My darling boy." She smiled at him, more than happy to be engulfed by huge arms. Their mothers laugh was like music. Thor pulled back, and she cupped his cheeks, and said. "It has been too long since yo-- Thor, where are your eyebrows?" Frigga's question made Sòl giggle loudly as Thor began to frown and he threw an arm out.
"I will give you one guess." Thor pouted.
Sòl grinned. "I think you look great."
Frigga chuckled. "Hello, my sweet girl."
"Hey mummy!" Just like Thor, Sòl melted with her mother's attention. Frigga was a Goddess of motherhood. It's quite literally a gift she has. Sòl and Frigga hugged.
Frigga turned to the Midgardians and, as expected, she introduced herself to King T'Chaka and Queen Ramonda first. It was formal, which they were used too, but so friendly. There was an aura around Frigga and they all felt it. She made them feel so loved. Being in Frigga's presence was like being hugged and kissed by the greatest mom in the universe. Whether the Queen of Asgard really meant to do it or not, her divine gifts were touching them. Already, Frigga knew who the Avengers were. Her son has spoke of them often, Thor loved his Midgardian friends; Loki thought they were morons while Sòl was just glad that Thor was making some more friends.
Adorably, Peter was gaping at Frigga with awe and whispered without meaning too. "Whoa, you're beautiful." His spidey sense had never felt so relaxed. And then, Peter wanted to dive off of the Bifrost when he realised what he'd just said, blushing very red and very embarrassed. Frigga smiled.
"Where is papa?" Sòl wondered.
"Your father is in our family room, waiting for our return." Frigga explained to them.
Sòl looked at Frigga with suspicion. She pursed her lips and frowned. "The family room? Papa is allowing Midgardians into the family room?! By the Nine, Papa has started to succumb to the Odinsleep and doesn't believe he will awake. Is that the future Heimdall saw?! IS PAPA DYING?! I refuse to live in a world where Loki is the known as the bloody All-father! I refuse!" The Princess screamed in horror, already overthinking all of the horrible outcomes of Odin's possible death.
Frigga rolled her eyes. "Your Papa is not dying! Don't put that out in the universe." Manifestation was real. Frigga was raised by witches, so she knows the truth.
"So we're just skipping passed my reign?" Thor questioned his younger sister. He's going to be King next, he will the All-father of the Nine Realms, not Loki.
Sòl looked at her older brother, pressing her lips together and placed her hand on his shoulder, and said. "Your reign is too mortifying for me to even mention. You'll be a terrible King. Best to just abdicate."
Thor huffed. "You're a horrible person."
"Thank you, I try." Sòl smiled.
When, all of a sudden, a shrieking caught their attention; the ground beneath them shook, and they heard booming laughter, and then the voice of somebody familiar; someone the Avengers thought they had lost when Ultron came. "FLY! BIG BIRDY!" The Avengers rushed to climb off of their ship, needing to see him to really believe that he was here. The Wakandan's were a lot more cautious, but they too exited the longship, with W'Kabi and Okoye leading them. Followed by Carol, the Asgardian's and Parker's. Moments later, they all saw him. Hulk... THE HULK WAS ON ASGARD?! They were all suddenly speechless.
Hulk was in traditional Asgardian cloths. Smiling, carefree, and so happy. And Hulk was chasing something, Asgardians just stepped aside, allowing him run past him like it was no big deal. Hulk was giggling. He looked like a child chasing a butterfly, and it was weirdly adorable.
What was he chasing, you may ask? Well, he was chasing a dragon, which seemed to actually be playing with Hulk. Dragons were not as made up as Midgardians like to believe... they're fairly common across the galaxy. They're fairly social creatures; very intelligent, and loving. But they were also dangerously territorial and could be quite violent. They will live wherever they want; ate whatever they want. They lived by no ones rules but their own. They like Asgard more than most planets. It was a thriving realm. There's plenty of food and warmth, and safety here on Asgard. They also really, really liked Sòl Odinsdottir. As the Goddess of the sun, that wasn't very surprising to anyone, but it meant they're around a lot, especially when she was. It was a little inconvenient, but the people of Asgard would rather be dragon-friends than enemies. It's much safer that way.
There was one dragon in particular what loved Sòl, and basically moved into their palace. It was the dragon playing with the Hulk (obviously). It was huge, with golden scales and dark brown eyes, and wearing similar jewellery to the Princess Sòl.
Sòl lit up when she saw the beast, cooing at it like it were her baby. "MY SUNNA!" It came bounding towards Sòl, like a puppy. Sòl did her best to wrap her arms around Sunna's massive snout. Sunna purred.
The beast, Sunna, let out another shriek. They're assuming their beast was happy. And James mumbled. "Space is weird."
Sòl grinned at James and she asked him, in a flirtatious tone of voice which James hasn't heard anyone direct toward him in a very long time; without malicious intent. She was teasing him, James took that to mean Sòl liked him, which was shocking. "Would you like to ride her? She is nearly big enough for two. I'm quite small, there will be enough room for us both. Though we may have to share personal space."
James' eyes widened, and he took a step backwards. "I think I will stay over here."
Shuri looked excited. "Can I fly with you?"
"No, you cannot!" Ramonda told Shuri.
May looked at Peter, warning him before he could ask. "Don't even think about it."
Peter deflated. "Awe."
Tony sputtered, he gestured to Hulk and asked the group. "So, are we just going to ignore the fact Bruce is in space?! Bruce is here, on Asgard, in space?! How did he even get to space in the first place?!" The billionaire was spiralling, understandably confused and worried for Dr. Banner.
Hulk scowled. "NO BANNER! Only Hulk!"
"He can talk?" Rhodey whispered.
Hulk huffed at Rhodey. "Hulk not stupid! Hulk talk if and when Hulk wants to talk."
Rhodey raised his hands. "My bad."
Hulk couldn't look at Natasha and moved as far away from Wanda as he could, not wanting to be near her. He hated Wanda. Before she became an Avenger, she was with HYDRA. Wanda and her twin brother, Pietro, were volunteers. Sovokia was in a civil war, and the twins thought they were doing what was best for their country. So they volunteered for Struckers, and they were given amazing abilities -- they were the only two people who survived! When the Avengers came to Sovokia, trying to find Loki's sceptre, they fought. And they fought again, a few days later. That time, Hulk wasn't in the fight, but Wanda came for him still... she used her chaos magic and purposefully triggered the Hulk. The Hulk tore through an innocent village and he killed several children, because of the things Wanda made him see...
That's why Bruce fled. Bruce was running because of Wanda, so Hulk hated her. He knows Wanda switched sides in the end, but too little too late. The Hulk nor Bruce were going to ever forgive her. In Bruce's mind, if Pietro hadn't died and Wanda did not figure out Ultron's real plan, the twins never would've switched sides. And they (Avengers team) would most likely still be fighting against the Maximoff twins. So, he can't forgive and forget like everybody else apparently has.
"We're okay, bud." Bruce's voice echoed in Hulk's mind. "We're safe on Asgard, bud."
To no ones surprise, Frigga charmed the Hulk and calmed him down significantly, even agreeing to let Bruce out once they reach the palace. The Midgardians were now following Queen Frigga inside while she explained where Heimdall found the Hulk living. Some planet called Sakaar. A Valkyrie happened to be living with Hulk, so they were both here now. The Valkyrie didn't seem too pleased about their plans to return to Asgard but came with them regardless and then the Valkyrie saw the All-father and actually punched him! The guards would've had her arrested if Odin and Frigga hadn't stopped them. Valkyrie saw the Queen and broke down in tears -- they knew each other, personally. Before becoming their Queen, Frigga was also a Valkyrie. She was there, at the battle that almost wiped out the entire Valkyrior. So, they forgave her assault on Odin, for they knew the pain the Valkyrie was feeling.
Seeing the Valkyrie, Brunnhilde, Thor had a childlike moment of glee. He LOVED the Valkyrior so much. Thor sobbed for hours when they told him he couldn't become a Valkyrie. You had to be female to join their armies. Thor tried to talk about it with the Asgardian, but Brunnhilde wasn't really in any mood to discuss the Valkyrior.
There were other Asgardian's there also; Princess Eir, Odin's sister, as well as Lady Sif and Warriors Three; Hogun, Volstagg, and Fandral. Heimdall was standing by a large window, staring out at the stars. He was eerily silent, his golden eyes shining brighter than usual. He was worried. Loki was there too. This was their family, after all. Seeing them sitting there, unbothered by anything, their head in Ubbe's lap -- or, whom they're assuming was Ubbe -- Clint clenched his jaw, and Nat reached for his hand, offering the archer some comfort. His resentment and hatred for Loki came bubbling back up. Everything he felt and saw as a mind controlled slave. He really hated how easy Loki seems to have it.
Seeing Ubbe for the very first time was a shock. Compared to Loki, he's massive... All muscle. Hairy, tattooed, scarred. Ubbe looked like a bear. Definitely a war God.
For the most part, everyone got along, its still awkward, but they were managing.
"Loki does not have their magic, it was a condition of their release. They also can't leave the palace grounds, and paying for the damages caused to Midgard." Frigga explained to Clint, sensing his unease.
"I also wear a tracker, like cattle. So that my loving parents may know where I am, at all times." Loki added, without looking up from the book they were reading.
"Better than rotting in a cell." Said Ubbe.
Loki turned to their younger sister. "Have you got it all?" They asked Sòl, sitting up.
Sòl narrowed her eyes, and her lip curled in annoyance, then she scoffed at them. "Whatever happened to please and thank you?! How about some appreciation? 'Oh dear sister, my favourite sibling, thank you so much for doing this for me'. Awe, Loki, you are ever so welcome! It's no problem, I didn't mind spending two hours looking for your Earthly literary pornography." Sòl mocked Loki's voice, while she dropped a rathed hefty sack onto Loki's lap, making them groan. It was very heavy.
Loki rolled their eyes. "Thank you, sister."
"Hhm. That doesn't sound very genuine."
Loki shrugged, smugly then they told her. "Well, you could have said no if you-- OW! MAMA! SÒL JUST HIT ME!" They yelled.
Sòl scoffed, yelling back. "DID NOT!"
"You literally just did! They all saw you!"
"Mh, I don't think they did." Sòl sang. The siblings started bickering. It was another argument purposefully instigated by Sòl, and from the bemused look on her face, she's actually enjoying it. Sòl got under Thor and Loki's skin so easily, it was very funny. Watching them, those without any siblings were suddenly quite thankful for that fact, while those who do have some siblings were strangely missing them.
Odin groaned, irritated. "ENOUGH!"
Loki and Sòl stopped.
"Children." Thor shooked his head. Loki and Sòl looked up at Thor as he gave his younger sibling a look of disapproval.
Loki frowned at Thor and they demanded from their brother. "Why does your face look like that?" Sòl cackled with laughter, Thor, however, did not start laughing.
Sif looked at Sòl, upset, and questioned Sòl. "Must you set his face on fire? It's a pretty face. I'd like to keep it that way."
Sòl pouted, and she sassed Sif. "But you don't need his face, do you? It's the seed that's actually important, everything else is just -- there. Decorations, shall we say? So, if it's all the same to you, I think I will continue torturing my brother however I please." Sòl smiled innocently at Sif.
Loki cringed. "I beg, could we please not discuss Thor's seed?! By the nine, sister, there are two infants present." They said, gesturing between Peter and Shuri.
Thor grimaced. "Seconded."
They were all so very uncomfortable.
Sòl snorted a laugh, she stole some fruit from Ubbe. "The God of fertility does not wish to talk about his own seed?! Funny."
"Sweet girl, please. We have guests here. They do not want to discuss this." Frigga kindly reminded her daughter, pointing to the Midgardians, whom looked incredibly uncomfortable. Sòl huffed, she snatched the rest of the fruit out of Ubbe's hands and unceremoniously plopped herself on the large sofa next to her papa. Odin was trying to not laugh at his Sòl's mischief.
"Then what are we here to discuss?" Sòl questioned. "Uncle, please tell me there's a very good reason why I was sent down to Midgard, I really hope it wasn't just to make nice with the Midgardians."
Heimdall finally turned from the window. He looked at the group in front of him, a grave expression on his face. "Tell them." Odin told Heimdall, giving permission to hold nothing back. They needed to know every little detail; everything he saw in the future. They needed to know how serious this was, so that they could change it and save the galaxy from total destruction.
Notes:
AN -- I love them <33 Can we please talk about how young Loki and Thor are tho?! Because in the MCU, Asgardians live to be like 5000 years old and Thor and Loki are only 1500 years old. So, like, they're barely adults compared to the Asgardians around them. So, while Loki isn't sixteen in human years (like some people believe for some reason) their invasion of Earth was definitely their angsty teenage thing lol. And they lost everything in the span of 5 years. How devastating is that?! You are expected to live for 5000+ years and everything's taken from you like that. The trauma the Asgardian's go through is so overlooked by the fandom and by marvel itself 😭💔 they deserved more.
Q. Soooo, the reactions are going to start very soon. I'm starting with Civil War and then Ragnarok and then Black Panther <3 what would you like to see with these?!

Chapter Text
Heimdall saw Ragnarök. Heimdall saw the end of the universe. So that was not great. The Midgardians looked at the Asgardian royal family in confusion, wondering why they were so panicked by Heimdall's cold warning; they had no idea what Ragnarök was. The King explained the reasoning of their fears. Ragnarök was the end of days for Asgard; it's their apocalypse. Naturally, Odin's explanation made them panic. The Avengers loved Thor, and have started to love Asgard, they really didn't want to see it destroyed. Understandably, things were now incredibly emotional between Thor's family members. They were terrified.
King T'Chaka looked a little confused and questioned Heimdall and Odin. "Is that why you have summoned us? You would like our help to prevent this apocalypse? I did not think Gods would need our help."
Odin shooked his head, then he told King T'Chaka. "It is not, I summoned you here to stop your own Ragnarök. It is not only Asgard that was lost... Heimdall foresaw destruction across the entire galaxy."
Well shit. The bad news just kept coming.
Steve straightened, he stood taller and spoke in a deeper tone of voice, it was his Captain America voice, pressing for more information. "What happens?"
"How familiar are you all with the Infinity stones?" Heimdall questioned the heroes of Earth. They had some experience. The Avengers have fought battles which have used those stones several times. Steve's been dealing with the stones since 1943! Steve loathed the bastard things! Wanda's super abilities came from the mind stone, which now sat in Vision's head. The time stone was also on Midgard, protected by the Sorcerer Supreme... also in New York. The reality stone was hidden somewhere on earth, also. It was hidden there by Bor, Odin's and Eir's father. The space stone's currently on Asgard, in Odin's vault. There were two more -- power and soul. Nobody has seen the soul stone in over a millenia but the power stone had been found by a new team of heroes, the guardians of the galaxy, and it was taken to Xandar.
Upon hearing this, Loki sat up. There was a look on their face. Terror. It took a lot to really frighten the God of mischief.
"It's him, isn't it?" Loki asked Heimdall.
Heimdall sighed. "It is, yes."
"It's who?!" Ubbe demanded, frowning in worry with Loki's fear. Ubbe did not like it. "Gatekeeper! Don't keep us in suspense!"
Heimdall warned them. "Thanos."
"We are all going to die." Loki stated, sure of it. Everyone turned to them in disbelief and horror. Did they really think everybody was going to die, by hearing a name?!
Peter raised his hand, sheepishly, and he shyly asked the Asgardian. "W-who is he? Thanos, I-I mean... sir, uhm, Gatekeeper?" Peter was not experienced with aliens like the others were. Spider-man consisted of chasing down thieves and helping ladies cross the street. So, this was all very new to him -- and it was freaking terrifying!
Sòl jumped in before anybody else could, she explained to the Midgardians who he was. And, of course, she spoke with such drama. Sòl sounded almost excited about it, explaining thing like she was sharing a bit of gossip with all her closest friends. "Thanos is -- was -- a Prince from Titan. A fucking megalomaniac! He is OBSESSED with the Infinity Stones, and wants to use them to better the universe... and, by that, I actually mean Thanos wants to use the stones to wipe out half of the universe in the name of saving our future. Thanos is wanted in several corners of the universe but he has a vast army, and he has taken over several planets already. He destroys worlds so that whatever is left over has a chance to rebuild and then thrive. And it's actually worked once or twice, which has obviously encouraged his delusions."
"How do you know all that!?" Asked Loki. They've only told Auntie Eir about Thanos. They couldn't exactly like to her, given the fact she had to go into their mind to help them overcome the brainwashing.
Sòl shrugged. "I actually have friends."
"You have friends familiar with Thanos?" Odin questioned his favourite child. Odin wasn't too sure he wanted his daughter to have these particular friends.
And Sòl rolled her eyes and explained to Odin. "Papa, it's fine. Ares told me."
Tony interrupted the father and daughter, frozen. He looked a little scared, trying to process everything; the human billionaire asked Heimdall. "So, what you are saying is; we have fought this Thanos before-- in the future, I mean... I-I think?! But, we lost said fight, and he proceeded use a magic rock collection to kill half of the universe, and Asgard suffers a Ragnarök?! T-that is what you're trying to tell us?! We're going to die and the universe is ending. Lovely." Tony mumbled, pressing his lips together while he exhaled deeply, waiting for Odin and Heimdall to confirm or deny him.
"And why summon only a couple of us to Asgard?" Okoye was confused with their decisions so far. It made no sense to her. Okoye pursed her lips as she argued with the Gatekeeper. "If a threat was looming, someone whom was powerful enough to wipe out the universe, you would want to find allies everywhere you could."
Heimdall was annoyingly vague with his explanation. "We lose to Thanos because we lose ourselves. Thanos strikes when we have been weakened and separated... he is victorious because our secrets and our personal vendetta has broken us."
"Our circle of trust must be small. We do not want to trust the wrong person." Odin explained to Okoye, warning the general.
It was laughable. The power of friendship was real?! They lost because they fell out with each other? It sounded ridiculous.
"So we should probably start then. Make a plan to defest Thanos." Carol spoke up.
Heimdall nodded his head. "We will, in a moment. The Milano is now landing." He explained and Loki shot out of their seat by Ubbe, and they're seething in anger.
"You would invite Gamora here?!"
Heimdall exhaled, shrugging. "She is--"
"--I KNOW WHO SHE IS!" Loki screamed in anger and their eyes flashed dark green; their magic trying their best to overpower the dampeners they were wearing. They failed. Loki shoved Ubbe when he tried to calm them down and Loki stormed out of the family room, leaving everyone sitting here in confusion, all wondering what the hell just happened?! Ubbe followed them out, calling out their name, begging them to stop and explain what was wrong with them, why they hated Gamora so much?! The room was silent, everybody stared at each other in disbelief. The Midgardians didn't know Loki, but they knew that, that was not normal behaviour from Loki.
"Heimdall, what was that?" Frigga asked, worried for her child. She didn't like how distressed they were, they have come for far with their healing. She wanted Loki to feel safe and happy, and be comfortable in their own home -- it's all Frigga wanted for everyone. Though, Loki was definitely Frigga's favourite child, there was not any doubt about that. It was a known fact. So, she had a tendency to worry more about them as they're more sensitive than Thor and Sòl.
Heimdall sighed, turning to his wife. She was not happy, reluctantly explaining the issue to her sister in law, and everybody else here. "After Loki fell from the Bifrost, they were found by Thanos... where they were tortured for over two years. Thanos sent Loki, and the Chitauri, to Midgard, to invade the planet. Loki was brainwashed and they were forced to do it... Gamora is Thanos' daughter, that is where they met, and she saw it all, before she ran away to join the guardians of the galaxy. Loki has not been dealing with it very well, they're struggling still. I fear that having her here will set them back, and undo all the work we've achieved these past months."
"My poor child." Frigga gasped through a breath, she started to cry. Eir hugged her.
Why wouldn't Loki tell them?! They were family, they would have helped them. It's awful. They were angry. Loki was a very flawed person, they have made mistakes, but they didn't deserve whatever Thanos did to them. Nobody deserved that.
Lightning and thunder struck, Thor's eyes glowed an electric blue. Thor proclaimed, seething in anger. "I am going to kill him!" And Sòl was right there with him. She will mount her Sunna, they will go and locate Thanos. Sunna is going to feast for days. After Sòl has made it rain fire and burned their hearts out. They're all going to hang for what they have done to Loki! And they were going to make it very painful for the titan. Thor and Sòl were not easy to calm down, but Lady Sif and the warriors three did their best to prevent the two siblings from creating any natural disasters.
Clint was speechless. He did not want to believe it to be true, but why would Lady Eir make something like that up? Thanos was responsible for what happened in the city, Thanos just used Loki to do it. Clint's pissed. He already hated Thanos.
Natasha touched his arm. "You okay?"
"I'm something." Clint mumbled.
Peter (Parker) asked. "Is Loki okay?"
Frigga smiled at the young boy, nodding sadly. "They will be. Ubbe is with them."
Suddenly, the large doors opened and an Einherjar guard walked in, he bowed his head at the Asgardian royal family. "Your majesties, the Guardians of the galaxy."
The guardians of the galaxy were an odd looking group -- Peter Quill, their leader, a half human who was abducted by aliens and was raised as the Ravagers. Drax the Destroyer, a former assassin from Mount Kylos. A Flora Colossus known as Groot. Rocket, the genetically and cybernetically modified raccoon. Gamora and Nebula, the daughters of Thanos, and two of the galaxy's deadliest, enhanced assassins. And Mantis, a celestial hybrid, and Peter's half sister. They met at the Klyn, a prison, and they escaped together. They were an unlikely team of superheroes, and they'll often still commit crime, but they do help people in need. They're trying their best.
Peter Quill was the first of the Guardians to speak, pointing at Steve, confused and questioned him. "I'm sorry, but didn't you die, like, over a hundred years ago?"
All the Avengers stared at Peter Quill in shock. Tony asked. "You're from Earth?"
"I'm not from Earth, I'm from Missouri."
Peter (Parker) snorted. "That's on Earth."
"Oh right... well, I was abducted by aliens when I was a kid, so..." Peter admitted to them, with a shrug of his shoulders. The half-human then questioned the group of people. "Uh, why are we here, exactly?"
"We're here for Thanos." They heard Loki speak, everyone turned to see they finally returned, with Ubbe. Nebula and Gamora froze when they saw Loki, alive... Thanos said after Loki's failed invasion of Earth, they'd been killed by the Asgardian royals because of what they have done. Clearly, Thanos' spies were wrong, because Loki looked a lot healthier than they have ever seen them. Loki frowned at the sisters -- mostly at Gamora, they preferred Nebula. They looked to each other, before turning back to Loki with a guilty expression.
Gamora and Nebula watched as Loki and Ubbe returned to their seats. Their family instantly fussing over Loki, worried about them. Loki grumbled at them to stop. It's not something they wanted to talk about, nor were they entitled to know.
"What has father done?" Nebula asked.
The sisters did not need full details, they knew their father's plans. They were told these plans almost every day since their unofficial adoption. So, they have always known and they have actually been trying to sabotage Thanos! That's why Gamora tried to hard to find the power stone! She gave it to the Xandarians so that Thanos did not have it. Gamora had to fight back tears when Loki replied. "He does exactly what he said he was going to do. Thanos finds all of the stones, and wipes out half the universe... Heimdall has seen it."
Gamora exhaled deeply, looking down at the ground in thought. Fighting back her emotions. She looked up, pursing her lips and warned the group. "Then we have to do everything in our power to prevent his plans from being a success. Thanos has perfected his dream. He won't strike if he thinks there are stronger people pursuing him. Thanos is a very patient man, he will wait for as long as he has too. And, when it comes to it, you will need to kill me."
Whoa. Sam Wilson whispered to himself, but they all heard. "That took a dark turn."
As expected, this decision outraged the Guardians and confusing everybody else. The Guardians all cried out. "WHAT?!"
Peter (Quill) looked heartbroken and he stammered. "W-why would you say that?! That's crazy! We're not going to kill you."
Gamora argued. "You have too."
"No!" He scoffed, angry.
"You've got no choice!" Gamora snapped at him. "If you want to save the universe, then I need to die! I'm okay with that."
"WELL I'M NOT!" Peter shrieked. Gamora refused to explain why, but was sure that it needed to happen. She had to die. She wasn't going to put anybody else's life in danger with the knowledge that she had. They didn't need to know, only that it was crucial she die before Thanos got to her, otherwise they're going to lose this fight. And if her fellow Guardians couldn't do it, then she would ask someone who will do it. Loki would not hesitate. After what her father did to Loki, Ubbe's probably happy to do it; to do anything that will anger the Mad Titan. If Gamora really needed too, if everyone refused to do it, then she'll end her own life. Thanos cannot know what she knew! Gamora was not scared to die, especially if her death was for something this important. She was fine with that.
Frigga questioned her about it. "What do you know, that Thanos cannot know?"
Gamora replied, shrugging. "I can't tell you... because then you'll all know too."
"Ain't that the point?" Rocket sassed her, with his usual level of attitude, scowling at Gamora. The Midgardians looked at him in shock. Did that raccoon just talk?! Gamora rolled her eyes at him.
Sòl's jaw dropped, shamelessly staring at him, and noted. "That rabbit just spoke."
Rocket frowned at Sòl. "Rabbit?"
"I'm pretty sure he's actually a raccoon."
Sòl cocked her head, confused, and she questioned Shuri. "What is a raccoon?"
"He is!" Shuri exclaimed, snorting.
Peter Quill raised his hand, still angry. He huffed. "Could we please get back to the fact Thanos is apparently going to kill off half the universe and I'm supposed to kill my own girlfriend?! HOW AM I THE ONLY ONE FREAKING OUT ABOUT THIS?!" The half-human screamed, frantically waving his arms around in a panic, staring at the group in disbelief. They were just told the mad titan was coming to kill everyone and they have barely blinked an eye -- Gamora has just told them to kill her, and nobody's reacting appropriately! He couldn't hold in his anger. He was pissed and it's going to become everybody else's problem, if they continue with their nonchalant bull. Peter needed them to be as angry as him.
"Freaking out isn't going to help anybody." Said T'Challa, calm, in contract to Peter's panic. For the sake of his sister, T'Challa wanted Peter to calm down, especially if he keeps reaching for that weapon on his hip. He didn't like Quill standing so closely to his younger sister while he's consumed by his negative emotions. Peter turned to the Wakandan Prince, T'Challa continued to talk. "We are all here for the rest of the universe, not ourselves... If this Thanos is truly as awful as what's been claimed, we are going to have to do things that we do not agree with, or like... it'd be selfish."
Sòl pursed her lips, nodding with respect and she pointed at T'Challa. Breaking the tension between the men, the Asgardian princess commented. "This Midgardian, I like it. So professional. So regal. It's sexy. Should my papa wish to form an alliance with your people, I would not protest."
Frigga tutted, shaking her head. "Sòl!"
T'Chaka chuckled. He liked Sòl.
Ramonda wasn't so sure about her. She's so impulsive, and unfiltered... It was like Sòl physically couldn't stop herself from saying and doing everything that she has said and does. And, despite knowing Sòl was nine hundred years old, she couldn't help but see Sòl as a child. She acted no different to Shuri and Peter Parker... Also, Ramonda really liked T'Challa with Nakia.
"I'm certain Bast will give us her blessing, she loves me." Sòl was confident, smiling at a blushing T'Challa. Shuri was giggling while their parents stared at Sòl, not sure what to say to Sòl's generous offer. Then, they actually registered what Sòl just told them all, and they suddenly felt like they couldn't breathe. 'I'm certain Bast will give us her blessing, she loves me'. The people of Wakanda worshipped the Orisha. Bast was their Goddess. There's a reason why their ancestors chose the Panther.
"You-- you speak of Bast so casually..." T'Challa stated, he genuinely could not believe what Sòl was alluding too.
"I've known her for a very long time. The Gods are familiar." Sòl replied. Peter Quill huffed, turning away, throwing his arms up, again! It's like they have just forgotten why they're all there. It was very vexing -- and he was a generally vexing person too, so this was really saying something.
"So, all of the Gods just hang out?" Peter (Parker) questioned Sòl, this was rather interesting and he needed to know more. "Is there some sort of divine clubhouse?"
The Asgardian's confirmed it. "We do."
"So... they're all real? The Gods?"
"For the most part." Sòl nodded, then she grinned, her eyes flickering between Thor and the Avengers, and questioned them. "Do you like to know what Jesus is really like? You Midgardians just looooove him."
Thor groaned, loudly. "No! We do not!"
Space was so freaking weird.
Notes:
AN-- THE GUARDIANS ARE HERE YAAAY. I FREAKING LOVE THEM <33 Anyways... I hope no one finds the ending of this to be offensive lol it isn't meant to be. And I will usecANY EXCUSE to bring up the fact that in the PERCY JACKSON UNIVERSE written by Rick Riordan, specifically in the Magnus Chase books, Thor has beef with Jesus. I find it hilarious. Thor challenged Jesus to a duel but Jesus didn't show up to the fight and Thor held a grudge, which was so bad, the Norse Demigods do not use AD when referring to time... like, how can you have beef with the most famous pacific ever?! It's so funny. I love it.
So, given how I've set this fanfiction up, for me it makes more sense to react to Ragnarok first and then Civil War. Those movies happen at the same time, even though CW was released in cinema first. Plus, I think it would be nice to start with the lighter funnier movie :)
Q. What would you change about the Thor Ragnarok movie?

Chapter Text
Nobody knew what Heimdall was going to show them, but they definitely didn't think it was this; its dark and cramped , and soft red light of fire seeping through thick iron slats. Inside this small cage was a man, in large chains. Its Thor! His beard was long, m essy hair, and his clothes were torn and dirty. Thor looked so rough. T h ey couldn't see who he was talking too, but Thor was rambling , sounding very embarrassed and so depressed. "Now I know what you're all thinking. Oh no! Thor's in a cage. How did this happen? Well, sometimes you have to get captured just to get a straight answer out of someone. It's quite a long story but basically im a bit of a hero. See, I've spent some time on earth, fought some robots, saved the planet a couple of times. Then I t ravelled the known universe in search of those colorful Infinity Stone things. Sidn't find any. That's when I came across a path of death and destruction, which led me all the way here, into this cage... where I met you." He smiled . It was revealed that Thor was talking to a skeleton in chains.
They were silent, staring at these images of their future in disbelief. They looked to Thor, wondering what the hell was going on! Thor was flustered, stammering. This was probably one of the most humiliating things he's experienced. Then, Sòl started giggling uncontrollably and she told Thor. "By the Nine, Thor, you look like shit!"
Loki snorted a laugh and Thor frowned at them both and he told them, offended by their attitudes. "You know, as my younger siblings, you two are supposed to always be on my side!" With that declaration, Sòl and Loki looked at each other and began to cackle, that caused a little whine from Thor and those who had younger siblings felt for Thor, while those younger siblings laughed with Sòl and Loki. "Mummy!"
Frigga was smiling, bemused, then she half heartedly chastised her two younger children. "Loki, Sòl, be nice to Thor."
Ubbe snorted a laugh at Thor's childlike pout. "The Mighty Thor, everybody." Ubbe sarcastically commented, making their laughter worse, and Thor's pout to grow.
There was noise; sounds of metal gears being turned. Suddenly, the bottom of the cage opened and the floor dropped out. Thor plummeted, groaning when the thick chains cinched and abruptly halted Thor's descent. Thor was dangling six feet from the ground, which revealed a cavernous space. The walls, floors and ceilings were molten rock, which has creepy glimmers of fire within it and positioned right in the centre was a volcanic rock throne, and sat in that throne was a charred and demonic looking skeleton , and a rather deep voice spoke to Thor. "Thor, Son of Odin."
Thors chains turned him around, and Thor gasped in disbelief. The man who was sat on the massive throne was Surtur. He was eighteen feet tall, flesh made of fire, with huge spiked horns on his skull. "SURTUR? Son of a -- bitch... you're alive!? I thought my father killed you a million years ago ?!"
Surtur scoffed and corrected Thor. "I cannot die. Not until I have fulfilled my destiny and lay waste to your home. "
"THAT BASTARD IS STILL ALIVE?!" Sòl shrieked, looking to her father in a very accusatory manner. Sòl was insulted. "What the Hel, papa?! You know that its prophesied that Surtur kills the Princess of Asgard! HELLO! Bloody Princess of Asgard here?!" Sòl cried out, now a little terrified that she was going to die.
Odin shrugged. "I believed he was dead. He must've healed from his injuries."
"What about Princess Eir?" Asked Peter (Parker), in an adorably innocent tone of voice. It was a genuine question.
"It could be possible that the prophecy is about me." Lady Eir nodded at Peter. "But, when I was bestowed title of Goddess of Healing, it became less likely."
"Oh." Peter nodded in understanding.
Eir and Odin shared a knowing look with one another and Brunnhilde glared at the children of Bor. There was so much hate and anger in her eyes. She loathed them. Of course, Loki caught. They were hiding something from the rest of them.
Thor hummed, then he laughed to himself and he told Surtur. "Y'know, it's funny you should mention that because I have been having these terrible dreams of late. And in my dreams, Asgard is up in flames and falling to ruins, and you, Surtur, are at the center of them all." Surtur was proud.
"Then you have seen Ragnarok, the fall of Asgard." Surtur grinned evilly. "The great prophecy - -"
"--ooh, hang on." Thor interrupted Surtur, the chains had started to turn Thor away from Surtur. "I'll be back around shortly. I really feel like we were connecting there." Thor laughed and, after a beat, he finally rotated back around to face Surtu r.
When did Thor get so funny ?!
They liked this, despite the very obvious dangerous. They needed these laughs, knowing how serious and somber things were going to become, with Heimdall's warnings beforehand.
"You've been spending too much time with Tony." Rhodey told Thor, earning a little 'hey' from Tony. He wad great.
Thor laughed, he loved Tony. He loved all the friends he's made on Earth. "Maybe."
Surtur continued his villain speech, really getting into it. "My time has finally come. And when my crown is reunited with the Eternal Flame, I shall be restored to my full might. I will tower over the mountains and bury my sword deep in Asgard's-- "
Thor interrupted him again. "--Oooh, hang on. Give it a second." Once again, he was turning very slowly and Surtur started t o get very annoyed. Thor chuckled at Surtur and apologised. "I swear that I'm not even moving, it's just doing this on its own. I'm really sorry. Okay, there we go, I am back! Right, so, let me get this straight. You are going to put your crown into the Eternal Flame, then you will suddenly grow as big as a house-- "
"--A MOUNTAIN!" Surtur yelled.
Shuri was giggling, looking between her family members, and said. "I like space." Ramonda held her daughter close, she's not so loving space right now.
"I think we'll remain in Wakanda."
"Awe." Shuri deflated.
T'Chaka disagreed. He did like the idea of creating an alliance with the Asgardian's. They seemed like good people, they were advanced and wealthy, and well loved. Its going to benefit their country, if not their entire planet. They've already seen what happens when you make an enemy out of the Asgardian's... T'Chaka didnt want that.
"It will all work out in the end. We're all fruends here." T'Chaka told his family.
T'Challa hummed. "Are we?"
Thor hummed at that. "Uh-huh. Anyway . T he Eternal Flame that Odin keeps locked away on Asgard?" Surtur grinned, evilly.
"Odin is not on Asgard." Surtur was happy to tell Thor that fact . He was laughing at Thor. "And your absence has only left the throne even more defenseless."
That scared Odin and Eir a lot more than it should have, and nobody knew why. Odin rarely got scared, so when he's scared, it was best that you get scared aswell. All of a sudden, the children of Bor seemed to know why Ragnarök happens. They've already got some idea who's responsible for it -- and they were both terrified.
"We must tell them." Eir whispered to her brother. "They will find out regardless!"
Odin replied, and gestured to Heimdall's magic. "We are all going to see it now."
Listening to the Asgardian's bicker with each other, Peter (Quill) leaned closer to Gamora and he mumbled to her, quietly. "And I thought my family had issues..."
Peter's family did have issues... Peter was half human, but his father was a celestial being named Ego. A bloody psychopath! Peter was thrilled to find out he's actually got a father, but that feeling quickly went away... Ego gave his mother cancer. Very literally. HE PUT A TUMOUR IN HER HEAD AND IT KILLED HER! Ego purposefully got her to fall for him, so that she would get pregnant -- then he killed her. All because he wanted one of his kids to inherit Ego's powers so that they could then take over the universe together. His plans probably would've worked and he would've gotten what he wanted, if he hadn't killed Peter's mother. So, the Guardians killed Ego, and they rescued Mantis. She was also one of Ego's planned half-celestial kids... unlike his other children, she had some powers, so Ego chose to keep Mantis alive.
That elicits a concerned look from Thor. He had to ignore it for the time being. He questioned Surtur. "Okay, so where is it? This crown ? "
Surtur pointed to the horn shaped crown on his head and he exclaimed. "This is my Crown! Its the source of my power."
"That?! I thought it was a big eyebrow. "
Surtur exhaled. "ITS A CROWN!"
" Anyway, it sounds like all I have to do to stop Ragnarok is rip that thing off of your head." Thor told him and Surtur stood up and he approached Thor, dragging a huge sword with him. Surtur grabbed onto the chains above Thor's feet and he lifted him higher, so that he and Thor were face to face.
"But Ragnarok has already begun. You cannot stop it. I am Asgard's doom, and so are you. All will suffer, all will burn."
"That's intense." Thor commented, then he nonchalantly told Surtur, threatening him. "To be honest, seeing you grow really big and set fire to a planet would be quite the spectacle. But, it looks like I am going to have to go with option B where I bust out of these chains, knock that tiara off your head, and stash it away in Asgard's vault. "
"You cannot stop Ragnarok. Why fight it?"
Behind his back, Thor opened his hand. Sending out the SOS. He smiled at Surtur and said. "Because that's what heroes do!" Nothing happened and Thor looked very annoyed. Then, suddenly, Mjolnir crashed t hrough the wall and Thor broke free from his chains, grabbed Mjolnir and flew off. He threw Mjolnir back at Surtur, violently smashing t he giant in the face, then that hammer magically returned .
"You've made a grave mistake, Odinson !"
The walls came alive! A seemingly infinite swarm of fire demons rally to Surtur's aid. Thor responded, laughing at him. "I make grave mistakes all the time. Everything seems to work out."
"Are you certain Thor is not the adopted one?" Sòl questioned her parents.
Thor frowned. "Why?"
"Because you are a moron!" She told him, bluntly, and insulting as many people as she possibly can. "Spending all that time on Midgard has made you brainless. Sif, please, divorce my big brother and spare yourself the equally brainless offspring, I have no doubt, his seed will produce."
Thor threw his arms up in exasperation, and he exclaimed in annoyance. "When did today become 'bully Thor' day?!"
Tony commented. "Well, it is Thursday."
Sòl laughed at that response.
In the shadows, a massive fire dragon had roared. Those fire demons surge forward. Thor backed up, hammering away, leapt back, jumped off the wall and then landed hard and slamming Mjolnir down, and the resulting shockwave knocked back t hose fire demons. The dragon strained against a chain leash. Thor was now facing off with Surtur. Surtur thrusted his hands at Thor, generating a humongous projectile wall of fire! Thor spun Mjolnir so fast that it created a shield, keeping him from the painful death that should've caused. The God of Thunder and the Fire Giant engage in ferocious hand-to-hand combat.
Each landing power shots, sending sparks of both fire and electricity in the air. Thor slipped behind Surtur and he took out his knees. Thor launched high into the air and summoned a lightning bolt. Descending hard, he used his power to lop off Surtur's head from Surtur's body! So Surtur's body collapsed into a heap of charred bones, and Thor strapped the crowned skull onto his back. Then Thor turned around to find the army of Fire Demons regrouping while reinforcements flood in, filling the space to capacity. Recognizing their threat, Thor thrusted Mjolnir above his head.
They're speechless... The Avengers have never seen Thor fight like that. Of course they knew he could fight, but they have never seen him decapitate anyone?! It's a lot to take in. Rhodey whispered. "Wow."
May covered Peter's eyes. Ramonda did the same thing for Shuri. It was just too violent for them to allow their children to see. Rocket followed suit, he covered Groot's eyes, causing a very angry 'I am Groot' and a glare from Groot.
Carol grinned, cheekily. "I can do that."
"You wish you challenge me?" Thor had questioned Carol, he sounded excited by that thought. It was adorable. He really did love facing female warriors.
Carol raised an eyebrow. "You really want to spar with me? After the last time?"
"She kicked your arse." Said Hogunn.
Thor looked proud. "And it was brilliant!"
"Heimdall. I know that it has been a while, but I could use a fast exit!" Nothing. Thor just stood there as the Demons advanced. Thor frowned. "Heimdall? Uncle?"
That was so concerning. Heimdall always answered. ALWAYS. He took pride in that fact. Especially when Thor, Sòl and Loki were concerned. They were family. They were the three heirs of Asgard, ignoring their call was an act of treason! Lady Eir would kill him, especially given what her nephew was currently doing!
Heimdall wasnt there. Instead, it's Skurge manning their Bifrost... He's bald, strong, mean looking, a little eager to be liked. At the moment, Skurge was entertaining two Asgardian women. From the way the two w omen were dressed , it's safe to assume they were alehouse whores , and S kurge was gloating." Heimdall was an idiot. This job should've made him rich. Now, the job ain't easy, but it has its many benefits. The Bifrost gives me access to everything the Nine Realms have to offer. I mean, it is all mine for the taking. Behold -- my stuff!" Skurge drew their attention onto a pile of weapons and the treasures he has stashed off to the side.
They couldn't help but laugh. This was utterly ridiculous. Heimdall was horrified. Someone had turned his observatory into a freaking mop cupboard. The audacity of that!? Heimdall was pissed. Lady Eir gave her husband a comforting smile and she gently patted his shoulder, trying to hold back her own laughter and coughed over those giggles, weakly apologising.
"My love." Eir exhaled.
Heimdall was pouting now. "They have desecrated my place of work. Where I've stood guard for more than a millenia."
"We'll get it cleaned up." Eir promised.
Sòl snorted a laugh, gesturing to the two women. "At least he's hired good whores. Those are definitely Aslaug's ladies." That comment really didn't help. Sòl innocently smiled at her favourite uncle. The people of Earth grimaced at her casual usage of the term 'whore'. They didn't like it.
He held up two M-16 assault rifles, trying to play it cool, and continued to talk. "I am particularly fond of these. I pulled 'em out of a place on Midgard called Texas. I even named them. Des and Troy. When you put them together... they destroy."
They were laughing again, this was just so stupid. "Who the hell is this guy?!"
"His name is Skurge. He's an Asgardian warrior. He was an Einherjar." Said Ubbe, he did not look happy with this guy.
Rhodey sassed. "He's an idiot."
"Yes, that's why I said 'was' and not 'is'..." Ubbe told Rhodey, still frowning, shaking his head as he stared at Skurge. "Skurge is a disgrace to the uniform we wear, but comes from a very influential family."
Urgh. Nepotism.
Having expected to have been Bifrosted out of there, Thor was overun by the giant wave of fire demons! The Dragon broke free of its chain. Realizing he's in trouble, Thor took off, rocketing up to leave but suddenly crashed out of the ground then landed on a craggy surface. Disoriented and singed from the demon onslaught. Thor's cloak was on fire, and he frantically patted out the flames, picked up Mjolnir, held it up once more. Nothing.
"HEIMDALL, COME ON!"
Heimdall wasn't there, and it was really starting to get to him. It just felt wrong. It felt like something had been taken from him. Seeing someone else manning HIS Bifrost, was strangely violating.
The ground shooked! Like an earthquake. Thor backed up as the ground began to give way all around him. The dragon burst our of the ground! The dragon opened it's tremendous jaws for an ear-splitting roar but Thor stuffed Mjolnir into their mouth and let go. The hammer dropped, pinning the beast down by its bottom jaw. It was now trashing and growling at Thor, trying to break free but it's not worthy . "Stay!" Thor told the beast , before dashing away. He noticed that all around him the ground was crumbling like a field of sinkholes giving way to more snarling Fire Demons! T hor called for Mjolnir and took off. The dragon then screeched loudly!
Lady Sif and The Warriors Three were all collectively sharing a sigh. This was what happened when they didn't fight with Thor. Now this was just sad...
"Why would you go looking for Infinity stones by yourself?" Asked Fandral, genuinely confused by Thor's decision.
Volstagg spoke up. "We are a team!"
"We fight together." Hogun added in.
Sam was giggling quietly, watching them interact. Sam was sat next to James and Steve. "It's like the three musketeers." He commented, smiling, but their world war two soldiers looked confused. "Seriously guys?! You've got to know who the three musketeers are! They're super old! They were definitely around in the 1940's!"
"Vaguely." Steve pursed his lips.
James shrugged and he nonchalantly reminded Sam. "I have brain damage."
That shut Sam up very quickly.
Skurge continued to show off for the two ladies. Behind Skurge the Bifrost started moving. One of the women noticed . "Um, Skurge , is that important?" She asked.
Skurge turned and he finally noticed the Bifrost activity, and he grinned at the two women. "Girls, you are in for a treat."
Natasha's lip turned up in disgust, then said. "So, there are creeps everywhere."
"Unfortunately." Carol nodded.
And just when Natasha was starting to like space... it's a little disappointing to find out.
Thor was flying at top speed, but that fire dragon was on his heels and the demons launched flaming projectiles from below! Thor looked back, genuinely nervous. The dragon was opening their jaw to swallow Thor whole but then, suddenly, the Bifrost opened! The portal surrounded Thor and engulfed the dragon's head! In an instant, they were gone.
Skurge had plunged the sword down into the Bifrost, and Thor exploded out of the portal along with the severed head of the dragon! Blood and guts rained down onto Skurge and the two women, drenching them with purple gore. The dragon's head slid slowly across the floor, and landed to rest right in front of the women who were frozen in shock. The women shrieked and rush out of the Bifrost Observatory. Thor, however, was clean, and staggering back to his feet. He looked up to Skurge, whom was wiping dragon guts off of himself.
Drax laughed unnecessarily loudly and he yelled. "YOU GOT DRAGON GUTS ON EVERYTHING! THAT'S HILARIOUS!"
Mantis laughed with him, seemingly copying Drax's actions. "SO FUNNY!"
Aliens were wired.
"Idiots." Nebula rolled her eyes.
"Well well, look who had finally decided to pop in." Skurge met Thor. "Thank you, for scaring away my company and drenching my workplace in brains , by the way."
Thor frowned . "Who are you?"
"Don't you remember?! I'm Skurge. We've fought together, on Vanaheim. " He tried to get Thor to remember , but he couldn't .
"Where's Heimdall? " Thor demanded.
"That traitor?" Skurge snorted. "Nobody knows, he's a fugitive of the throne. " The accusation made Thor freeze in shock .
Thor didn't believe him. "Traitor? "
"Yeah, Odin charged him with negligence of duty, but disappeared before the trial... Lady Eir followed. Its hard to catch a guy who can see everything in the Universe." Skurge explained to him. Thor started to say something, but then gabe up. Instead he started towards the exit, Skurge stood in his way , but Thor shoved him out of the way. Skurge was panicking. "Hold on! I'm supposed to announce your arrival." He yelled. Thor spun Mjolnir and he took off into the sky. Skurge began the very long run down the Rainbow Bridge .
They couldn't believe what they were hearing. Heimdall, a traitor?! Odin calling his oldest friend a neglectful person?!
It made no sense.
"I would never betray Asgard." Heimdall insisted, and they truly believed him. It's all wrong. Something strange was going on, and they really didnt like it.
Notes:
AN -- so , I thought I would start out small because that's just the vibe I'm getting but i hope to make chapters much longer and it will be so much fun, though that also means updates will be slower, so please be patient with me because your badgering will only make me not want to update. I am trying my best lol. Lets all remember that we arent robots, we are people and we have lives outside these apps 🙏

Chapter Text
Thor arrived with Surtur's skull. There's a small crowd making their way through a threshold over, where a monument statue of Loki, with their arms out-stretched in the 'saviour' pose, was positioned. Highly confused, Thor turned to a theatre patron. " What the hell is that?" He continued into the the royal terrace , Asgardians were sat and stood around a theatre production as Loki fell into frame, gasping for breath... although it's not Loki. It's an actor , they're all watching a dramatised stage play and, in the background, a single musician was playing the haunting score on a pan flute. Suddenly, actor Thor and actor Sòl leaned into shot, both cradling actor Loki.
"My brother, sister." Actor Loki croaked, in fake pain. "T his is it. I take my leave. "
" You fool, you didn't listen! "
Actor Loki hissed. " I'm sorry. "
Actor Thor looked to Actor Sif. "Lady Sif! Get help." Actor Sif awkwardly ran off and Actors portraying The Warriors Three all stood around them, watching sadly, when a small choir joined in as the music builds to a crescendo.
"SOMEBODY HELP!" Cried Actor Sif.
What the fuck was this?! The Asgardian's looked at each other, speechless. They had no idea what was going on, why they were watching a play dedicated to Loki?! AND THAT GIANT STATUE!? It's hideous. Naturally, the Asgardian's turned to Loki, assuming this was their fault, causing a frown on their face. "Why are you looking at me like this is my fault?!"
"It usually is your fault."
Loki rolled their eyes, crossing their arms over their chest and mumbled under their breath, annoyed by them. "Ridiculous."
"I would never scream like that." Said Sif, fixated on the actress portraying her. It's a completely inaccurate depiction. She's much more tough. Especially where Loki's concerned. It was embarrassing.
Drax laughed loudly, he was absolutely loving it. "HA! LOOK AT THE ASGARDIAN SCREAMING!" Mantis laughed with him.
"It's best to just ignore them." Said Peter Quill, seeing how annoyed Lady Sif was.
In the middle of the play's audience Odin was sat upon a chaise lounge, sipping his wine and thoroughly enjoying the show. Unseen, Thor arrived behind the audience and watched. Actor Loki cried. " Sorry for all I've done. " Actor Sòl brushed their hair and wiped away Actor Loki's tears.
Actor Sòl smiled at Actor Loki. "It is okay, my most favourite sibling! You're okay."
" I'm sorry I tried to rule Earth. "
" T hey'd be lucky to have you. " Said Actor Thor, with a rather terrible fake laugh.
The Midgardians were horrified by what was happening right now. Lucky? LUCKY! Clint, understandably, looked angry.
Tony couldn't help but laugh. This play was ridiculous. "What is happening?"
"Loki is happening." Sòl exhaled.
Loki frowned at that accusation. "I have done nothing?! I am innocent in this!"
" And I am sorry about that thing with the Tesseract. I-- I just couldn't help myself."
" I know. " Said Actor Thor.
Actor Sòl grinned, emotionally, and said. " You're a trickster, Loki. So mischievous."
" I'm s orry about that time I turned you into a frog. " Actor Loki continued on.
" It was a wonderful joke. "
Chewing a grape, Odin snickered a laugh and he mumbled, to nobody in particular . "It w as indeed hilarious. " Standing guard, Ubbe rolled his eyes at the All-father.
Heads turned back to Loki, they became very silent, sinking into their seat as they avoided eye contact. That's definitely not Odin. Ubbe let out a little laugh, resting his head against Loki's shoulder as they stared at the couple. It was a little funny. Loki enjoyed shape-shifting into people, and causing some trouble. That was one of their favourite magic tricks.
"You've turned Thor into a frog?"
Loki was now grinning, laughing as they nodded their head. "We called it 'Throg'."
Thor was pouting. "It was NOT funny!"
"It was hilarious." Loki laughed.
James was stunned, staring at Loki in disbelief. He didn't know what to think. They could turn people into frogs?! Was this just normal in the 21st century?! He turned to look at Steve, needing some sort of confirmation, but Steve just gave him an awkward look and shrugged. The future was so freaking weird.
" You are the savior of Asgard." Said Actor Thor. "I will tell your story, w e will build a large statue for you. With your helmet on, with the big bendy horns. We'll tell Father what you did here today."
Odin mouthed Actor Loki's final line along with him. " I didn't do it for him." Actor Loki died . A ctor Sòl and Thor screamed, when they all froze in a tableau and Actor Odin steps forwards.
Ubbe exhaled, exasperated. "By the Nine, Loki, you have faked your death again!" It, apparently, was a problem Loki had... they did something heroic and "died", and they would all mourn and then Loki would just return like nothing had happened. It was exhausting. It's another favourite trick.
T'Challa blinked, did he mishear that? He questioned the Asgardian's. "I'm sorry, is this something they just do? They often fake their death?" Surely not...
"Yes." Said Thor. "All the time."
They honestly did not think Loki could get more twisted. Peter Parker's jaw dropped and gasped. "That is so messed up." He didn't know if he could befriend a person who purposefully made their loved ones believe they were dead... he has lost a lot of family; his parents, Richard and Mary, were killed in a plane crash when he was about seven years old, and his uncle Ben died when he was 14, in his arms... So, it was definitely a sore spot for Peter.
" And so, Loki died of their wounds, giving their life for ours. They fought back those disgusting dark elves. Brought a peace to the realm." Said Actor Odin as a little boy, painted blue , rushed into his arms . " Loki, my child. It was many moons ago I found you on a frost-bitten battlefield. .. On that day, I didn't yet see in you Asgard's savior. No. You were merely a blue baby icicle... that melted this old fools heart." Suddenly the crowd erupted in rapturous applause, and the actors bowed. And Odin stood up, leading the crowd's standing ovation.
"BRAVO! Well done. " Odin cheered .
When Thor stepped forwards , bowing to his king, as its their protocol. "Father."
" Oh, shit." Odin cussed quietly.
That confirmed it for the Asgardian's. This was, most definitely, NOT the real Odin.
Odin then smiled and announced to their crowds. "MY SON! My Thor has returned! Greetings my boy." Odin went through a weird internal transformation. His fluidity was replaced by a rigid and regal posture.
" I t's an interesting play. What's it called? "
" The Tragedy of Loki of Asgard." Odin told him, while smiling askwardly. "The people really wanted to commemorate them. "
" I ndeed they should." Thor nodded, and he gestured to the statue. "I like that statue. A lot better looking than they were when they were still alive, though... A little less weasely. Less greasy maybe." Odin soured but masked his agitation. Behind him, the corners of Ubbe's lips curled, amused.
Thor knew. He knew Odin wasn't Odin and he was trying to get a reaction from the shape-shifting pretending to be his father. "How do you know something was wrong so quickly?" Peter asked the Asgardian. Does he have some sort of Asgardian spidey-sense?!
"I have been alive for a millennia, I know my father." Thor explained, then told the group. "He doesn't even like grapes."
Thor held up the skull and he questioned Odin. " Do you know what this is? !"
" That's t he skull of Surtur. A formidable weapon." Said Odin.
Thor approached one of the Einherjars, he handed it over. "Here, l ock this in a vault so that it doesn't turn into a giant monster and destroy the whole planet. "
" So, it's back to Midgard for you, is it?"
Thor started yo-yoing, and turned back to Odin. " No, I've been having this reocurring dream lately. Every night I see Asgard fall into ruins.. . I decides to go out there and investigate, and what do I find?! The Nine Realms completely in chaos. Enemies of Asgard assembling, plotting our demise, all while you, King Odin, the protector of those Nine Realms, are just sitting here in your bathrobe, eating bloody grapes ?!"
" Well, it is best to respect our neighbors' freedom. " Odin quipped, shrugging.
" T he freedom to be massacred ?"
" And I have been rather busy myself."
" Watching theatre ?" Thor scoffed .
Again, Odin shrugged and he started to fidget with his fingers. " Board meetings, and security council meetings..."
"Where is Sòl?" Thor suddenly asked.
Odin froze slightly. "What?"
"My sister, Sòl, where is she? She loves a good play." Thor asked , still throwing and catching Mjolnir like it was a yo-yo. Odin didn't answer his question and Thor gave him an annoyed look, exhaling, and asked Odin. " Y ou really going to make me do it? "
" Do what?" Thor spun Mjolnir and then hurled it off into the distance, he grabbed Odin by the back of the neck. Odin's royal attendants gasped in shock of what they were seeing. The Einherjar guards rushed Thor, but he kicked them away.
"Leave him." Ubbe commanded, and those guards hesitated , struggling with what to do. Ubbe was their commander but Odin's the King. "I said ; leave them be!"
Damn. You knew Ubbe was really angry with Loki when he wasn't jumping to their defence, and protecting them from Thor. Could you blame him, if it was true and Loki did fake their death, again?! Ubbe's been through his several times, and as much as he loved Loki, it was exhausting and so painful. How could Loki do that to someone they claimed to be in love with?! It was just evil, in their opinion.
"And if that was Odin?" Asked Natasha, with a raised eyebrow. "What would you have done? You've just threatened the protector of the Nine Realms?"
Thor shooked his head. "That's not Odin." He repeated, just as confident as before.
Ubbe spoke up, also very sure of himself. "I could never allow anyone to harm the All-father. For a millennia, it has been my honour to protect my King. I've been with Loki for just as long, I would've figured it out very early." He told the Avengers.
"And you didn't stop them?"
Ubbe shrugged, unseathing his sword. "If they were a danger to Asgard, I would've stuck my blade through their neck."
Loki narrowed their eyes. "Romantic."
" You know that nothing will stop Mjolnir as it returns to my hand." Mjolnir stopped mid-air and started to shoot back to its master . " Not even your face. "
" Y ou've gone mad. You'll be executed for this! UBBE!" Odin stammered, and Mjolnir approached at a terrifying speed as Odin struggled . "ALRIGHT, I YIELD!" Loki yelled suddenly, and Thor dropped them on the ground and caught Mjolnir. Loki had been pretending to be King Odin for the past four years. Loki looked to Thor, hands up defensively. Skurge arrived on the scene, a little late to warn Loki.
" Behold! Thor... Odinson. " He panted .
"No no! You had one job! Just the one!" Loki yelled at him in frustation.
They laughed at that. Skurge was just a tragedy. Seeing Skurge back away like a wounded puppy was very funny.
" Where's Odin? " Thor demanded .
Loki groaned in annoyance , stomping like a child. " You just couldn't stay away, could you? Everything was fine without you with us. Asgard was prospering. You've ruined everything. Ask them." Those who weren't freaked out were becoming angrier. Thor started to advance on Loki, whom backed up onto the chaise lounge.
" Where's father? Did you kill him?!" Thor snapped in anger, his eyes becoming very blue , threatening Loki . "And where is our sister! Where is Sòl?! Did you kill our little sister too, hmm , Loki?!"
"I WOULD NEVER!" Loki yelled, offended by what future-Thor was accusing them of. Loki did love their little sister.
They didn't 100% believe them. . . given all they've done to Thor in the past few years. Loki's shown they were capable of doing anything to get what they want. They've tried to kill Thor many times, threatened to kill Doctor Jane Foster because Thor befriended her, and they've invaded Earth because Thor happened to love it there. Given everything they have experienced, they all believed they if they needed too, they'd definitely kill Sòl to get what want.
"Wouldn't you?" Sòl asked. As much as Sòl loved her elder sibling. She couldn't fully trust them. That hurt Loki.
"You have tried to kill everyone here, at least one." Fandral reminded Loki, getting a little protective over the Princess Sòl.
" Urgh, y ou had what you wanted, you had exactly the independence you asked for!" Said Loki and Thor pressed Mjolnir harder onto Loki's chest and Loki caved. " Ow-ow! Alright! I know exactly where they are!"
They were on earth, standing in front of a Shady Acres Nursing home... only it was being demolished . Thor and Loki wearing Earthly street clothes, were watching it. Thor carried an umbrella, Loki's dressed in a black avant-garde suit. " I swear, I left him right here. " Loki deadpanned.
" Right here on the sidewalk? Or in there, where the building being demolished?!" Thor snapped at them. "Great planning. And where is our sister ?! What have you done with Sòl?" Thor yelled at Loki.
" How was I supposed to know? Can't see into the future. I'm not a witch. " Said Loki, crossing their arms and rolling their eyes . "As for our darling sister , she realised my plans and threatened to expose me, so... I banished her down to Earth, so she could be with father. Just like she wanted ." Loki confessed, nonchalantly, and Thor looked at them in disbelief, shaking his head.
Odin looked disturbed, not because of what Loki has done but because he was no longer on Asgard. Odin and Eir looked at each other, sharing a panicked frown.
Sam's jaw dropped in shock. "You put the King of the Gods in a nursing home?!"
Loki shrugged. "Apparently."
"That's cold." Sam replied, stunned.
"Maybe you could do that to Thanos?" Peter Quill suggested, with a little laugh. Nobody found his humour amusing.
Nebula smacked Peter Quill.
"I'M ON MIDGARD?!" Sòl yelled, horrified by that thought. She hated Midgard, she would've preferred any other world.
Carol argued. "It's not that bad."
"Its a disgusting planet." Sòl insulted the entire human race, earning some looks from the Midgardians, even Peter Quill, who hadn't been on Earth since he was a teenager, before Yondu abducted him.
"All offence taken." Said Tony Stark.
" I can't believe you're alive. I saw you die. I mourned you, I cried for you!" He huffed .
Loki frowned. " I'm... honoure d?"
The siblings were interrupted by two girls, who were giggling at Thor. They wanted a photograph. Thor smiled at them and said yes, causing the girls to squeal and Loki rolled their eyes. The girls took the selfie with Thor and quickly scurried off. When a golden ring suddenly, magically , formed around Loki's feet. " What's this, what are you doing!?" Thor demanded off them.
Loki looked down to see that the sidewalk has started to glow beneath them, with a circle of ancient symbols. " This isn't me." Then, all of a sudden , Loki dropped out of sight, vanishing through solid concrete! Thor saw a card on the sidewalk exactly where Loki was just standing .
Thor poked the business card. "L oki?" He didn't get a response. He picked up the card. It reads: 177A Bleecker Street Thor picks up the card and started walking.
They were all laughing, mostly at Thor, who was flushed with embarrassment. "Did you really think Loki had turned into a piece of paper?" Tony asked, laughing.
Thor shrugged and argued. "They have transformed into much stranger things."
Clint snorted a laugh and he asked. "Like when they transformed you into a frog?" Thor closed his eyes and exhaled as the hall erupted into laughter once more.
He approached 177A Bleecker Street. He knocked once, twice, and then WHOOSH! He was suddenly inside Doctor Strange's lair! " Thor Odinson." A voice spoke from a dark corner, he saw a glimpse a Strange. Levitating, he drifted towards Thor. " God of Thunder. " Thor gave Doctor Strange a sideways look, but then set his umbrella down, and when Thor looked back up, the environment was suddenly furnished.
" So earth has wizards now? "
" The preferred term is the Master of the Mystic Arts." Dr. Strange told Thor.
" Alright wizard, who are you? Why should I care? " Thor snapped at him, he was way too busy to be doing this random shit.
" I am Doctor Stephen Strange and I have some questions for you. So, take a seat." Dr. Strange and Thor were now sitting in high-backed chairs.
"Since when could Stephen Strange do magic?!" Asked Tony, he knew Stephen. He's a doctor. A neurologist. Probably one of the best in the States. He was a man of science, not the Mystic Arts.
Heimdall explained to them all. "After his car accident, Dr. Strange was recruited by the Ancient One, where he was taught to use magic and he became the Sorcerer Supreme." Tony hummed. He always was a dramatic person -- he was always doing the most! His ego rivaled Tony's.
"So, he can just... do magic tricks now?"
Heimdal smirked, bemused. "Reductive, but yes. To my knowledge, the Sorcerer Supreme protects the Time Stone. That necklaces houses an Infinity stone."
Why did Earth have so many goddamned Infinity Stones?! No wonder Thanos set his eyes on their planet. That's annoying. The Humans honestly just wanted peace and love, they would be happy to never have to fight another battle again.
" Tea?" Dr. Strange offered him.
Thor's now has a cup of tea in his hand , and Thor frowned . "I don't drink tea. "
" What do you drink? "
" Not tea." Thor now had a stein of beer in his hand and he drank it, but it stayed full.
"DUDE! That's so cool!" Peter P. gasped. May gave him a look and he stammered. "Not-not the, uh, alcohol thing... but, the drink never emptying thing." Peter smiled sweetly and Aunt May hummed at him.
Shuri snickered a laugh, shaking her head at him. "That's just embarrassing." And Peter's blushing cheeks darkened even more. He was very red.
" So, I keep a watch list of individuals and beings from other realms that may be a threat to this world. Your adopted sibling Loki is one of these beings." Said Strange.
" They're a worthy inclusion. " Said Thor.
" Then why bring them here? "
" We're looking for my father and sister ... Loki claims they brought them here."
Dr. Strange hummed. " So, if you were to tell you where Odin and your sister were, all parties concerned would promptly return to Asgard? "
" Promptly." Thor smiled.
" Great. Then I'll help you." Said Strange.
That was easy. Thor could breathe again, knowing they would all be reunited finally and they could all fix everything that has happened since Loki became Odin. But, the look on King Odin's face wasn't very encouraging... it worried them, and Thor was not sure he would be able to handle anymore bad news.
Thor raised an eyebrow. "You can tell me where my father and sister have gone?"
" They're in Norway." Strange stood up and suddenly they're standing by a bookcase. He took down an ancient book and flipped through it. He explained to Thor. " I 'm just seeing whether this incantation requires any Asgardian modifications..." Thor had reached out to the bookcase to steady himself. When, suddenly, they were both across the room at Doctor Strange's work station, and because Thor was touching the bookcase, he has magically brought it across the room as well. Suddenly Thor's back across the room. Books fall off the shelf and Thor's beer spills. He's queasy and unsteady from the teleporting.
" Will you stop doing that? !" He snapped.
" I need just one strand of your hair. "
" Let me explain something, my hair is not to be meddled wi--!" Strange was behind Thor, he plucked a strand of hair. Strange extended the hair, infused it with magic, does a few gestures that create a bright light and, suddenly , they're at the b ottom of the stairs. Strange was standing. Thor was rolling down the stairs, and a magic portal leading into a peaceful meadow has opened beside Strange.
" We could have just walked. "
His magic was like a roller-coaster. It's nauseating. They felt sick watching Thor and Strange teleport, they couldn't even begin to imagine what it felt like actually experiencing that.
Wanda looked intrigued. Could she do that? She's technically got magic.
"That's magic?" She asked, almost shyly. HYDRA didn't exactly give her lessons in her powers... they taught her to kill, only.
Frigga took pity on the young girl, smiling softly. "It is. All magic is different, but we are all capable of great things. Mayhaps I could teach you, as I have taught Loki?"
This shocked Wanda. "Really?"
"Really." Frigga nodded. "You have a gift, you should be allowed to harness it. Use it for good. Learn to be unafraid. Asgard welcomes you." Frigga promised Wanda, and the human witch smiled at her. She's getting a little emotional, accepting that offer almost immediately. No one back on Earth could teach her, and she really wanted to learn. She was given this gift by bad people, but that didn't mean she had to be bad. The Avengers gave her a second chance, she wanted to prove her worth; prove that she was deserving.
"They're waiting for you. " Dr. Strange told Thor, gesturing to the portal . Thor stood up and Dr. Strange reminded Thor. " Don't forget your umbrella. " Thor extended his arm and held out his hand, when the men hear crashing... a lot of crashing. Finally, the umbrella flies into his hand.
" I suppose I'll need Loki back. "
Suddenly there was screaming, and from above, Loki dropped out of a portal. They landed hard on the floor and staggered to their feet, confused. "I have been falling FOR THIRTY MINUTES!" They yelled.
The hall erupted into laughter, Loki was frowning. That was just humiliating.
" You can handle them from here. "
" Yeah of course." Thor nodded and they shooked hands, Thor smiled at Strange. "Thank you very much for your help. "
" Handle me? Who are you? !" Loki glared at Strange and summoned their daggers, ready to attack Strange. " You think you're some kind of sorcerer? Don't think for one minute, you second rate --" S trange very quickly gestured with both hands and the magic portal was pulled over the siblings. Just like that, Thor and Loki were gone.
Clint laughed. "I like Dr. Strange."
Loki rolled their eyes.
"Why must you always reach for knives first? This is why people don't like you." Ubbe told his lover and, again, Loki rolled their eyes. They honestly didn't care.
"He insulted me." Loki argued, calmly. "As a God of war, should you not be praising my bloodlust? Seems a little odd for you to hold any pacifist values."
Ubbe replied. "Well, as a God of war, I know when to start a fight and when to leave it well enough alone."
"That's no fun." Loki pouted.
On the other side of the portal was a very beautiful cliffside close to the ocean. Loki landed, hard, on the ground as their portal closed behind them. "Papa?" Thor barely mumbled, seeing the back of his father by a cluster of boulders, next to Sòl. They're dressed plainly in humble human clothes, Sòl was braiding Odin's thinning hair. Thor and Loki approached them very quickly.
Odin didn't look away from the ocean, but he spoke to his children in a soft tone of voice. " Look at this place... It is beautiful. "
Thor frowned , worried. " Papa, it is us ."
"My children, I have been waiting for you." Odin smiled softly. Loki was surprised to hear Odin include them with this.
" I know. We've come to take you home. "
" Home, yes... Your mother, she calls me. Do you hear it?" Odin wondered.
Thor fired a look at Loki, they held their hands up in defense. "Li ft your magic."
"It isn't magic ." Said Sòl, her lip quivered.
This was beyond devastating, the hall fell silent while they watched the Asgardians reunite. Focused solely on the future.
Something was wrong with Odin.
Frigga let out a gasp, covering her mouth with her hand, suddenly emotional. Odin reached for her other hand, squeezing it. It didn't take long for the rest of them to realise what was happening. Though, the Midgardians were a little confused by it.
Odin was dying.
And Queen Frigga was already dead. She calls to him, to take his place besides her in the halls of their ancestors.
Odin turned to Loki, who stiffened up. But Odin smiled at Loki and he said . " T ook me quite a while to break free from your spell then your sister came to me. Your mother would have been proud." Loki was moved by this gesture. They'd looked over to see Thor staring at them, anger building. Sòl was refusing to look at Loki at all, acting like they weren't even there. Odin placed a hand on Thor's arm, calming Thor , and he smiled . " Come and sit with us. I don't have much time left."
" I know we've failed you, but we can make this right. " Thor told Odin, sitting next to his father, taking Odin's hand in his.
" I failed you. It is upon us... Ragnarok. "
" No, I've stopped Ragnarok. I put an end to Surtur. " Thor reassured his father.
" No. It has already begun. She is coming. My life was all that held her back, but my time has come. I can't keep her away any longer. " Odin vaguely warned them.
" Father, who are you talking about? "
" The Goddess of Death. Hela. My sister." Odin confessed to them, and Thor looked to Sòl, wanting a proper explanation.
Sòl sighed sadly, shrugging. "This is the most lucid he has been in months. We've spoken at length ... Hela is very real."
Odin and Eir have another sister?! WHAT THE HEL?! A thousand years, and they've never once mentioned another sister.
"What the fuck?!" Sòl exclaimed, angrily. "You have another sister? The Goddess of Death is our Aunt?! You've just kept it hidden from us?!" She accused them.
"We thought it best."
Loki scoffed, arguing. "The same way you thought keeping my own heritage from me was what was best?!"
"Hela killed the Valkyrior." Said Brunhilde, silencing the children of Odin. Everybody turned to her for real answers. Brunnilde wasnt drunk enough for this. . . "We were sent to put an end to Hela and she wiped us all out, like it was nothing. That's why I never returned. I was supposed to die on that battlefield, but I didn't, so I left. Hela is one of the most powerful people in the Cosmos. Locking Hela away any making everyone forget her was the only way to ensure Asgard's safety."
Peter (Quill) raised his hand. "How the hell do you kill the Goddess of Death?"
"Fire." Said Eir. "Fire can kill everything."
" Hela's violent appetites grew beyond my control. I couldn't stop her... I imprisoned her instead. Locked her away. Hela draws her strength from Asgard... and once she gets there, her powers will be limitless. "
" Whatever she is, we can stop her. We can face her together. " Thor insisted, begging his father to hold on so that they might go home and protect their people together.
" No we won't. I'm on a different path now. This you must face alone." Odin told Thor, looked in his eyes, struggling to breathe. Odin smiled weakly and he gently touched Thor's chin, then looked to Loki and then to Sòl. " I love you, my children." And, dor the briefest of instances, they all shared a quiet moment together. When tears start to well in their eyes. Sòl moved swiftly to sit in front of her papa, then she took his hands in hers, kissing them.
"Journey to Valhalla, be with mother. Tell her we miss her, and we will remain here on Earth, cheering you on until we can be together again." Sòl smiled, choking back her cry , teats streaming down her face.
Odin nodded , Sòl leaned up and pressed their foreheads together. Odin whispered to her. "The Valkyries have finally come." Ethereal sun-rays stream down upon the ocean. A warm glow washed over their faces . Odin was dissipating into stardust. The All-father died , and Sòl choked back a sob. Falling back onto the ground where Odin had been holding her up .
Odin Borson, the Allfather, King of Asgard, and the protector of the Nine Realms, was dead. He died in front of his children...
There was a lot of crying, and shock in the hall. Thor pulled his sister into a hug as she cried. Their papa was gone. Their mummy was gone. Now Asgard was in danger. It was too much for her.
Ubbe pulled Loki backwards, so that they were resting against his chest again, and he wrapped his arms around Loki, whom was motionless, staring at the magic. It's always seemed like an impossibility... the All-father was dead. It was just wrong.
Lady Eir smiled sadly at her brother, they knew this was coming the second Odin was lost on Earth. It broke her heart, but as the Goddess of healing, she knew it was apart of life. Eir wiped away the tear from her cheek and moved towards her elder brother, and she kissed his cheeks, she then turned to Frigga and she kissed her cheeks too, offering her an apology.
The Warriors three and Sif comforted each other, mourning the loss of their King and Queen, and their friends.
Brunhilde was horrified, with Odin gone that meant Hela was coming back. They were all going to die. She couldnt let that happen, not again... she already lost her sisters -- they died to keep Asgard safe, she wasn't going to let that be in vein.
The sky above darkened and the wind was picking up. Thor stood and turned toward Loki, his eyes burning with rage, and Loki took a cautious step back and electricity crackled in Thor's hands. Thor raised the hammer at Loki. " This was your doing. "
"Brother." Loki said, swallowing anxiously.
Sòl barked out a bitter laugh, shaking her head, fire consuming her eyes. "He is not your brother ! I am not your sister! You are nothing to us! You are no longer Odinson! You are no longer kin to Asgard. You are a curse to our family! Was it not enough to murder our mother , you had to take our father too?! YOU ARE A TRAITOR TO OUR PEOPLE! A USUPER! You are our enemy!" Sòl screamed in their face, shoving them hard and Loki let her do it. Loki staggered backwards, looking away in shame while Sòl's hands burned. "Odin should have left you in that cave as Laufey intended!"
The hall was deadly silent, staring. What in the Nine realms just happened?! Odin was dead. He and Eir have another sister. Frigga was dead. Loki was responsible.
None of them could believe what they're hearing. How could Loki be responsible?! They loved Frigga; practically worshipped the ground she walked on. It didn't make any sense. Loki refused to believe it.
"I didn't-- I wouldn't--" they couldn't speak, tears already spilling. Ubbe brought them into his arms, looking at their family with concern. Frigga's death would break Loki -- and if they're somehow responsible... it's going to devastate their family. Loki could not live with themself if this was true.
Frigga stood up and rushed to Loki's side and wrapped her arms around them. "It's alright, little one. I'm still here. The future can be changed. You are of Asgard." Loki looked so young, it threw them... seeing the same person who invaded the planet crying in their mothers arms was truly a sight to behold. After everything they've done and been through, it's Frigga's death that gets them to show raw emotion.
They got interrupted by a cracking sound and a black portal opened. Thor slammed down his umbrella , transforming into his iconic Asgardian armour with Mjolnir. Sòl gracefully brought both of her arms up, suddenly engulfed in flames, shifting into her own armour as a gold shimmer ran all over Loki, and they transformed aswell. A figure stepped out of the portal. It's Hela .
Hela, strangely, looked like Loki... usually, half of them would have commented on that and they would've made a ridiculous joke, but given what they're watching, it didn't feel appropriate to do so.
Still, they questioned why Loki and Hela were so identical. Loki's adopted... they were taken to Asgard as a baby, it'd been over one thousand years since Hela. So, they would not have chosen to look like her on purpose... Did Odin influence their change from Frost Giant to Asgardian!?
" So he's gone? That's a shame. I would've liked to have seen that." She spoke, there was a very tense atmosphere, as they all stared at each other.
" You must be Hela. I'm Thor, son of Odin. "
" Really, you don't look like him ."
Loki moved forwards a little, and asked. " Perhaps we can reach an arrangement ?"
" You sound like him." Hela eyed them and Loki shifted anxiously, Thor held Mjolnir righter. Hela cocked her head , eyeing Sòl. "You look like Eir. .. not much of a talker."
"I talk, I just don't like you ." Sòl snapped, making Hela chuckle at young niece .
"Kneel." Hela ordered them.
Deja Vu.
Loki frowned . "I b eg your pardon?" Hela manifested a long, pitch black blade.
"K neel, before your Queen !"
"I don't think so." Thor hurled Mjolnir at Hela... when the mighty hammer suddenly came to a cold stop, against Hela's hand. Thor was shocked. He stretched out his hands, trying to call Mjolnir back to him. The hammer trembles in Hela's hand, like a mini game of tug-o-war. But, ultimately, Hela kept possession. " It's not possible. "
" Darling, you've no idea what's possible. " Hela taunted Thor, she shattered Thor's hammer .
"MJOLNIR!" Thor yelped, flabbergasted that someone was able to crush Mjolnir like it was made of sand.
What the hell was happening?!
How was that possible!
Uru metal was one of the toughest in the entire cosmos, and Hela destroyed it like it was nothing?! Hela was worthy?! What hope do Ashard have if Hela was capable of that?! How could they stop her?!
The Avengers hoped Thor would come to them, so they could help save Asgard from the Goddess of death.
The blast of it's destruction sent a wave of energy through Sòl, Thor and Loki who braced themselves against the impact. Thor was stupefied. In shock. He looked up to see Hela running her hands back over her head to create the terrifying battle headdress. Sòl was just pissed, at Hela; at Loki -- at Odin... she wanted this fight. She wanted to kill Hela for what has happened, while Loki's reaction was more panicked... They'd stood up and looked to the sky, calling out to the Bifrost and Hela charged at them as the Bitrost enveloped all of them. They zoomed up, held inside this celestial beam warping them towards Asgard. The trio looked back down to see Hela was in the Bifrost, behind them and catching up.
Loki turned and threw two daggers at her. They find their mark, stalling Hela just for a second. But she flew right through Loki, knocking them out of the bifrost. Gone in an instant. "LOKI!" Thor had screamed.
"UGH! WHORE!" Sòl yelled in frustation, a ball of fire forming in her hand and threw it at Hela, burning her . Hela shot her hand up, grabbing onto Sòl's ankle and forcing her down; closer to her. They were eye to eye. "You are going to die for what you've done." Sòl promised, her hands burning as she gripped Hela's wrist and she violently slammed her head against Hela's, forcing her Aunt to let go of her and Sòl actually threw herself out of the Bifrost , following after Loki.
"SÒL!" Thor screamed again. When Hela projects a jet black grappling hook and she grabbed Thor. Drawing him to her, preparing to finish him off. Thor pulled up his legs, and kicked Hela with both feet. This effectively dislodges him from her grasp but also knocking himself out of the Bifrost! Now, they're all gone... If they weren't dead, then God knows where they went.
Well... that was really something.
Notes:
AN -- Ragnarök !!!!!!!! I am honestly very excited for this movie, yes I have taken out some of Thors lines because THOR IS NOT STUPID 😭✋🏻 some of the lines in this movie really paint Thor to be stupid and it really annoys me. They're also not funny . . . lmao maybe that's just me and my English inability to understand US humour, but I took them out regardless.
