Shortcake|| The chain

Summary:

Isis a baker found herself to receive an unknown package instead of ingredients.

Idea from ShadowsfromMoonlight. Go see their work.

Chapter Text

Hey, author here! I got an idea of doing this by ShadowsfromMoonlight, this will be happening in the current world where the chain has been transformed into little toys by some strange magic and has been shipped to be in Isis's house for some reason.

Isis owns a bakery which was temporarily closed for renovations for almost a month, she had taken that time to try out some new recipes that could cost less or get alternatives for allergy friendly products.

Isis is a sweet 28 year old, she would have a bunch of kittens or puppies if it weren't for the fact that that they risk getting fur in her recipes. She's about 5"9 tall which is only a little taller than most women. She always smell like freshly baked cake, very pleasant.

Chapter 2: Not ingredients???

Summary:

Isis finds some little guys in her fridge.

Notes:

Hey, author here! So I got the idea from ShadowsfromMoonlight and asked for permission too so now I'll just write it my way but with the small toy theme the other author did.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

"This" is when they speak.

'That' is when they think.

I might use other things later on or maybe not.

3rd POV

——————————

——————————

Isis was preparing to do a new type of recipe with new ingredients she had made deliver, she had all the other ingredients along with the tools now the only things missing were the new type of flour and sugar that she had found on a new cooking ingredient site that were less costly and seemed a good quality despite the lower price. She was currently wearing brown cargo shorts, white spaghetti strap tank top, some brown tactical boots and was now putting on her baby pink apron as a step to get ready. She was counting her ustensiles and bowls on the kitchen counter for the new cake recipe, a swiss roll cake, with a vanilla base, a blueberry jam filling with vanilla cream and powdered sugar on top to look pretty. She was making herself drool just at the thought of tasting the new cake recipe. "Can the package be anymore late"? She spoke up to herself as she was now pacing around her house waiting for the ingredients feeling a bit restless by now at not doing something even if she wanted to desperately do something else than just pacing around, having cleaned her whole house three times over to keep herself busy in the previous days of her prompted vacation.

The front door doorbell rang loudly across the house walls while she was in the middle of reorganizing her stuff in the kitchen. 'They said it would arrive a bit later... weird' She thought to herself with a slight confusion as she walked to her front door, opening it to be met by the delivery man on the other side. "Isis Taffeta? I need you to sign here" The delivery man asked as he handed her a clipboard with a few documents and papers for her to sign. She wasn't too surprised by the papers as ingredients came with more paperwork in general, which is the usual for owning a bakery, having to order everything in bulk, which costs a lot more for the baker and the company they order from. The companies don't want a lawsuit if the baker messes up so they have to add recorded documents of agreements from both sides. It would be less of a problem if she didn't live in some little town nobody knows about and the stores do not have any diversity in their products of any kind. She handed the clipboard back to the delivery man once she signed everything that had to be signed, taking the package afterwards, feeling a bit confused that it wasn't all that heavy after all.

"Good luck" The delivery man commented blankly as he turned around to walk towards his truck. "Thanks, good day to you too... wait..."? She said happily before turning to confusion as she realized that he didn't tell her 'good day' but instead 'good luck' for some reason. She closed her front door with her foot, choosing to put away the box instead of risking dropping it by trying to lock the door with one of her hands. She walked through her house towards her kitchen before opening the door to her walk-in fridge, putting away the box on one of the shelfs. 'Probably some other stuff that I forgot I had ordered or something, I'll check it out later' Isis thought to herself as she stood still in her walk-in fridge for a moment in a thoughtful manner.

"What should I do while waiting for that flour and sugar"? She spoke to herself with a sigh before walking out her walk-in fridge, closing the door behind her. Walking back to her front door to lock it before she would forget about it. "Now to just wait... WHY IS IT TAKING FOREVER"?! She tried to be calm for a moment but the anticipation of doing a new recipe made her feel very restless. She decided to work on what the new menus would look like at her bakery with the new baked goods. Putting together what would be broadcasted above her at the bakery for the customers. She was also developing an app so that people could just order in advance, go into the bakery, show Isis their phone for the order and she could give it without talking to the customers. She wouldn't have done it normally as usually most of her customers were old people that liked ordering in person and talking her ears off about whatever was happening in town or all types of politics.

By now it was around ten at night, she had done a bunch of phone calls for her app, but now it was a bit late for calling places. While working on her menu at around five in the evening she had received a notification on her phone that the delivery driver had made a detour because one of the tires of the truck had a flat and there was too much air going out to just tough it out until he got to town. It wasn't really a detour after all he just had to call in a car mechanic to change the tire, but it took as much time as if he would have had to do a detour. She was now running on five hours of sleep, spite and those weird dragon fruit energy drinks that could probably give the average man a heart attack by drinking half a can, she drank seven at that point. It was a miracle that she hadn't started to just shake even if she had built a resistance to caffeine by this point in her life.

She really wanted to get some sleep but she had to wait for her packages to arrive. She had forgotten about the other box that weren't her ingredients at this point during the time she had taken to work on her menu and app for her bakery. She had been more worried about the ingredients that she hadn't received yet that she had often gotten lost in thought while working. When she finally heard the doorbell ring again for the second time this evening she sprinted to the door, fiddling with the handle for a few moments before unlocking the door so she could open it properly. Almost ripping the door off of its hinges as she opened it, being greeted by a delivery man again. "Isis Taffeta"? The delivery man spoke up to seemingly make sure it was the right person, seemingly a bit tired from the day of driving. "Yep, that's me" She said calmly with a nob as she shifted her footing in place in her house entrance. "Please sign here after reading the paper" He mumbled with a sigh as he handed her a clipboard with a pen for her to sign the documents. She signed the documents without reading them like any other person before handing him the clipboard and pen back to him. "Would you like a cold drink sir, it's hot tonight" She offered him as she saw sweat dripping down his neck while he stood in front of her. "That would be appreciated ma'am" He said with a sigh as his tone seemed a bit sheepish. "Any allergies"? She asked out of habit as she started to walk towards her kitchen to get a drink from her fridge. She heard a faint "No" coming from the man at her door.

She handed him a simple orange plastic bottle of orange juice. "Man, those are the best kind of orange juice" The man said with a happy expression as he opened the sealed cap on the bottle. "Yeah, that's why I always have some" Isis replied with a chuckle. "Anyways, how'd you repair the flat tire you got mister..."? She asked about his situation and his name as it wasn't the first time she had met the man for the deliveries. "Oh, my name is Frank. Honestly I don't know shit about how to change out a tire" He said with a sigh as he sipped on the orange juice he had been given. "Jeez, my grandpa was named Frank. How did you get your truck working again then"? She commented with a chuckle before asking him about his truck. "Had to walk all the way here and get to the town's mechanic shop. Jim drove me back to my truck to bring it to the shop" He explained calmly with a sigh, making her cringe at the words. "Jim, he must have been pissed, he was probably watching baseball" She spoke with an amused huff. "But, you got here without a map"? She asked him as she wondered how he managed to find his way to the town.

"Part of my family lived here so I visited a few times as a kid. I know how to get here, that's why I'm one of the few that makes deliveries to the town" He explained calmly to her and she gave a nod of understanding. "Also, I never heard of anyone called Taffeta as a kid" He commented nonchalantly to ask her where she came from. "Oh, I saw an advertisement for the bakery at a good time. It was a twelve hour drive that I had to do just three times, thankfully" She explained with a slight frown, remembering the long drives to the town as she had driven a rental truck to get her stuff in her new house, drive back the truck to her city, drive back to the town with her car and the rest of the stuff from her house, some groceries and other stuff for her bakery. "Must have felt like it was never going to end" He replied with a low whistle. "Yeah, had to sleep in a few sketchy motels" She added with a nob which earned a chuckle from Frank as he remembered the long drives himself as a delivery driver.

"You got the house modernized while not changing much how it looked, even got the AC to cool down the house properly"? He asked as he closed the cap on his orange juice bottle. "Yeah, I hate when people change a unique house to look like a lame minimalist style house. Just buy a newer house at this point" She said with a slight frown, a sigh leaving her. "That makes the two of us" He replied before looking down for a moment. "I have to go, I'll settle in the Inn, I have to deliver other packages for tomorrow" He said calmly as he gestured back to his truck. "Yeah, I have to bake a new recipe with the new ingredients. Till next time"? She said as she grabbed the boxes. "Yeah, thanks again for the cold juice" He replied with a nob as he made his way back to his truck. The two yelled their goodbyes as they parted ways after having a good conversation about their lives and the town.

——————————

——————————

She set the boxes at her kitchen table, checking her recipe list for how much she needed of both new ingredients. She put in a good amount for her new cake recipe. She started making the blueberry jam now that she had the sugar, making the vanilla cream filling in the meantime. She put the filling in the fridge as it didn't take time to do it with a mixer, changing the mixing bowl to a spare clean one before putting a new whisk mixer that she also had a spare of. "Oh shit I forgot to put away the flour and sugar in the walk-in fridge" She exclaimed as she quickly got the boxes, opened the walk-in fridge, put the boxes on a shelf and got out while closing the door to get back to the blueberry jam before it would burn. "Ouch, damn it" She exclaimed as she got a little burn on her palm as she put the blueberry jam away to use for later. She put her hand under lukewarm water to soothe the skin before putting a quick bandage to cover it up to continue making the recipe.

She started the oven to preheat it for the cake base she would soon start to make. "This is missing a bit of music" She muttered to herself as she pulled out her phone, opening her speaker and connecting it to her phone. She put on her cooking playlist which is just a bunch of upbeat songs, starting with emo boy, cpr, wap, breakin' dishes, maneater and oops I did it again. It would shift to more rock songs in the middle before getting a mix at the end of the playlist. She went to work on making the cake base, soon being done making the batter. She put some parchment paper on a mold, not cutting herself again as she didn't use a knife to cut the paper like she did last time. She put a bit of oil on the paper before pouring the batter in the mold, taking a spatula to not waste any of it. She put the mold into the oven before putting on a timer on her phone. "Might as well clean up while it bakes" She spoke to herself as she started to clean up the mess she had made in the kitchen.

She had also taken the time to also clean up the burn she had on her palm and properly bandage it. She pulled out all the stuff to finish up the cake after she checked it, needing a couple more minutes of cooking. She made sure everything was ready as she put them in her fridge in the meantime. She soon after got the cake out of the oven, letting it cool down on the stovetop while she got her other tools for the last part of making the cake. Once it cooled down enough she cut the excess, putting it in a separate bowl as she cut the cake in two like she was making a two layer cake. She put the cream and the jam before rolling the cake carefully. She finished off the cake with a bit of powdered sugar on top of the two cakes. She used the excess stuff to make little balls of cakes with blueberry jam in the middle. "It's finally time to taste it" She said to herself out loud eagerly as it was now close to midnight, she took a bite and was positively surprised. "I didn't expect the new ingredients to actually taste good in the cake with how cheap it is" She spoke out loud as she ate a few more bites of her creations before finishing cleaning up her stuff.

——————————

——————————

She finally could sit down and relax after being on her feet for most of the day. 'I still have to take off my apron, boots and get into comfortable clothes...' She thought to herself as she attempted to move off of her couch but promptly fell asleep as she tried to get off of the couch, basically passing out on the floor of her living room, unaware of the eight and a half pairs of eyes watching her pass out.

The group of heroes had woken up in a dark and cold place, they had managed to quietly make themselves known to each other. They had walked along the inside of the box's wall until they had all met at the same place. Sky had managed to cut them out of the box as they found out it was made in a weak enough material to pierce and cut. It was colder outside of the box and barely more light than inside the box. They had been sure that if they made light themselves it wouldn't just burn everything down around them. They had managed to climb down to the floor of the cold room, it was colder there but they would be closer to the door. Eventually a woman opened the door, holding boxes in her arms, she was a giant to them as she didn't even seem to notice them as she walked to a shelf to put the boxes there. The group had taken the time to run out of the room before the woman could get out and close them in again.

They quietly watched her make the cake, getting warmer now that they were outside of the cold room. It smelled good in the kitchen, the group of heroes talked to each other in sign language now that they could see each other clearly. They got startled when suddenly loud music started to play out of nowhere. They got startled by the music being mostly very inappropriate but quite interesting to listen to, the woman singing along to some phrases from time to time as she made what seemed to be a cake. Wild got interested in her cooking as she was using ingredients he had never seen before. They watched as she ate the product of her work, their own mouth watering at the smell and the fact that they were starving at this point.

They quietly watched as she passed out on the floor of her living room, seemingly out of exhaustion. "She's kinda interesting" Four exclaimed quietly as the group made their way back to the kitchen, where Wild immediately went to climb the counter where she had left the cakes she had made. "Cook, this is a bad idea" Warrior spoke out as the man with the longer hair started to push the plate of cakes to the edge. "Do you all want to eat or not"? He replied with a hiss as the others quieted down as they in fact felt very hungry right now. It fell and broke the plate, making the cake scatter as they themselves scattered from the scene. Soon the woman walked in all groggy. "Oh, it fell" She spoke out loud with a sigh before picking up the broken pieces, drinking some water and walking out the kitchen, too tired to remember to pick up the cakes that stayed on the ground. She got in the shower, the running water making the group get out of their hiding spots.

They ate the cakes, all of them almost passing away from how good it tastes. "This is literally to die for" Wind spoke up with a sigh as the others let out a hum of agreement as they continued to feast on the pieces of heaven. The water stopped running, Legend and Twilight being the first to scramble off to hide somewhere. Followed by Time who had picked up Four and Wind with him as he ran off. Wild also bolted off, pushing Hyrule and Warrior who were in his way. The two men barely had time to hide as the woman rounded the corner to her kitchen finding Sky face down on the ground as he had fallen while trying to run, now choosing to play dead as a last resort, hopeful on her not eating him alive or something. He was about to scream out when he got picked up and turned to face her but his voice got stuck in his throat as he was greeted by the sight of the sleepy woman that had just gotten out the shower, his face flushed as his eyes widen, feeling her slightly moist skin of her fingers on him.

"L-let go of him s-succubus"! Warrior screamed out with a slight stutter as he jumped out of his hiding spot, also quite flustered by the woman's state of undress. "Put some clothes on"! Legend commented as he too jumped out of his hiding spot. "Succubus"? She spoke with a confused tone as she tilted her head, turning to look down at the ground where Warrior was standing, his sword drawn and pointed towards her. "Yeah you have the markings" He said firmly as he pointed vaguely to her with the tip of his sword. "You mean my tattoos"? She corrected him as she pointed to the tattoos on her torso. "Oh" He replied feeling a bit embarrassed about the mistake he had made. "How many of you are there"? She asked curiously with a slight chuckle. "We'll tell you only if you put some clothes on and put him down" Legend spoke up firmly as he pointed at her with his hand.

She agreed to that even if she wasn't really naked, putting Sky down carefully before making her way to her room to put on some more clothes to cover up more. She came back soon after wearing a white and green frog theme hoodie. She sat on the floor on her knees as a group of nine guys cautiously stood in front of her. "I'm Isis Taffeta, who are you guys"? She introduced herself before asking them who they are. The tallest of the little guys approached her cautiously. "I'm Link, the hero of time. They are also all called Link" He introduced himself before vaguely pointing to the others. "Hero of time? Where do you all come from"? She asked as she tilted her head with curiosity. "Hyrule, is this the north side of Hyrule, it's cold here" Time spoke to the taller woman. "I don't know about any Hyrule, we're in Canada right now. It's pretty warm tonight actually" She explained with a confused tone as she didn't know any place named Hyrule. 'It's not like I'm an expert in geography, actually almost failed that class' She thought to herself as she watched the smallest of the bunch approaching her with a curious look on his face.

"Excuse me, but you seem to have more advanced technology" He said with a nervous but very curious body language. "I'm Link, hero of four swords" He added his introduction afterwards as he seemed to realize that he didn't introduce himself to her yet. "Well, it's nothing too fancy actually" She said with a soft chuckle, scratching her left cheek awkwardly. "You have things we've never seen, a type of Sheika slate that can put on all kinds of weird music, things that keep ingredients cold and fresh. Tools to cook and also that thing that seems to have an infinite amount of clean water" The second smallest guy spoke up as he pointed to various things in her kitchen. "Also I'm Link, hero of the wind" He introduced himself as he turned to look at her again. The others took their turn to also introduce themselves to her, some having to somewhat coax an introduction from them. "So you all are named Link uh? Well, I'll find some nicknames for you all eventually" She said with a sigh as she played with the strings of her hoodie.

"Well, since you kinda locked us in a cold room for hours, you have to find us some food and things to eat, you know as repayment for our suffering" Legend spoke like he deserved to be treated like a king. "Sure, I'm guessing the cake wasn't that filling"? She said calmly with a slight chuckle as she saw him actually look stunned that she agreed to take care of them. "I have some sausages and potatoes. I'll make some mashed potatoes with the sausages" She said mostly to herself as she got up from the ground, being careful where she stepped. "W-wait lady Taffeta, if you wouldn't mind, I want to see you cook" Wild spoke up as he stepped closer to the woman, preparing himself to be picked up. "Sure I don't mind" She said calmly as she walked to her fridge. "Uh, I need your help getting on the counter" He added with an awkward cough as he looked up at her. "Right, sorry" She said with an awkward chuckle as she had forgotten him.

——————————

——————————

They figured out a way to pick him up comfortably, simply scooping him up and letting him get off on his own afterwards. She took the time to cut up the potatoes after pealing them to make them boil. Speaking with Wild and taking the time to pick up the others to put them on the table while they waited for the food. She got little tea cup plates for each of them, putting a small amount of mashed potatoes and putting very small pieces of cooked sausage on each of their plates. Also putting a small amount of mayochup condiment for the meat. "You have something to drink, Miss Taffeta"? Warrior asked her as they observed the food, nearly jumping on their plates. "Uh, yeah wait a sec" She said as she got a bottle of orange juice. 'How are they even going to drink this'? She questioned herself before getting the idea of getting the little syringe for the medication bottle, she cleaned it, poured some orange juice in the cap it came with and sucked some of it for them to drink.

It worked surprisingly well and they shared the juice with a satisfied hum. "What kind of fruit is this from"? Twilight asked as he handed her the plastic syringe for her to put more juice in it. "An orange, it's a citrus, I think? It's good so I have some in my fridge most of the time" She said as she ate some of the food from her own plate. "So you mentioned we are in Canada right now? You wouldn't mind showing us on a map where that is. I'm Link, Hero of Hyrule" Hyrule asked the woman for a map before introducing himself to her. "Oh, yes hang on a minute, I'll bring the globe" She said calmly as she got out of her seat to grab what she needed. "Globe"? Legend wondered out loud with a confused look on his face, she soon returned to her seat after putting the globe on the table. She rotated it and pointed to someplace in Canada on the globe. "How big is this place"? Warrior spoke up as he observed the globe trying to clean the orange juice that he had spilled all over himself while trying to work out the syringe. "Also this needs more juice" He added blankly as he handed the syringe back to her. She looked over and saw the small puddle on the table that was suspiciously near Warrior's plate. "Right..." She said while trying to hold back a laugh at his demeanour. 'How did he even manage to make a mess so quickly'? She wondered as she put more orange juice into the syringe.

"You didn't spill any right"? She asked with a raised eyebrow. "...no" He replied with a serious look on his face. "So when I eventually have to pick you up, you won't be sticky or wet right? And I don't have to clean the table of any puddles"? She inquired as she tilted her head, his face became flushed red along with the tip of his pointed ears. "Fine, when I tried to use the thing it squirted all over us" He said with shame as he looked down at his feet. "Well, not all of us, but most of us" Legend spoke up with a laugh beside Time as the two men had managed to not get orange juice on themselves as they had kept their distance. "Well, it's a cheap syringe so it isn't that surprising that happened. I'll get something that'll be easier to use than a cheap plastic syringe" She said calmly with a soft chuckle as she put more orange juice into the syringe. "Do any of you want more before I put it away"? She asked them calmly, a few did step up, including Warrior. Hyrule, Wind and Warrior hadn't had the time to get some of it before Warrior messed up the syringe.

This time around she was the one giving the orange juice to them to avoid any more messes. She grabbed a bowl with a flat bottom and put some warm water with a bit of hand soap instead of just dish soap. She took the seven wet and sticky little guys one by one to make them wash up while she cleaned the table. She wetted a cloth after putting some spray on the table, using it to clean the table before going to her bathroom to get a hairdryer to dry them after their bath and her shampoo so they can clean their hair. She used a big spoon to put the shampoo on. "What's that"? Wild asked as he watched the woman put the spoon near them. "Shampoo, it's for washing hair" She said calmly as she held the spoon to them. Warrior was the first to use it, letting out a relieved groan as he felt all the grease and grime leave his hair as he rubbed the product in his hair. "Smells good" Twilight commented before using some himself. "It's honey sakura scented" She said calmly as she watched each of them take some to wash their hair.

She walked back with a towel after they finished washing themselves, she put the towel on the counter before pulling them out of the bowl one by one. She threw the water out before replacing it with just warm water before putting them back in so they could wash the soap off properly off of themselves. Afterwards she again put them on the towel before dumping the water out again, this time leaving the bowl in the sink. "Alright guys, I'll dry you off with this, it's going to make a lot of noise and it will push out warm air but it's harmless" She explained calmly as she showed them the hairdryer, also showing them what it does when it's on. She then blasted them with the hairdryer until they were all dried up from the bath they took. "That's good I didn't want to wait in wet clothes while drying up" Sky spoke up with a sigh, having almost fallen asleep because of the warm air on him.

She got a heated blanket to put on the couch for them before she all transferred them from the kitchen to the living room. "Miss Taffeta, the constant noise is bothering me" Wind spoke up with a yawn as he laid there. The constant noise was the air conditioning running. "You want some noises to help that"? She asked him as she opened the TV. "Noises"? He inquired as he looked at the screen. "Yeah, like forest ambience, beach ambiance, rain ambiance or stuff like that" She explained and watched as Wind's face lit up. "Beach ambiance"! Wind exclaimed excitedly, the others protesting at not having the choice themselves. "Calm down guys, we'll make a system for when you guys have a turn each at the choices around the house" She said calmly as she found a good video to play before lowering down the brightness of the screen.

"Good night guys, sweet dreams" She said softly as she entered her room after putting some pillows down on the floor in case they would want to get up in the morning by themselves. 'Time to hide all my toys and stuff, wouldn't want a bunch of men finding them' She thought to herself as she did a quick cleaning of her room so it would look presentable at the least. She took off her hoodie to go to sleep, choosing to keep the pink tank top instead of just sleeping in her panties only like usual. She went to sleep as soon as her head hit the pillow, barely getting comfortable under her blanket.

Notes:

Hi, author here! Finished the chapter with a lot of words. I wanted to make this more detailed with the characters. About 5300~ words for this chapter, pretty good, I took a bit of a break because I was kinda tired of writing and had less time to write too.

3rd POV

——————————

——————————

Isis had unfortunately forgotten to set up her alarm on her phone before going to sleep so now it was getting pretty late and she was still deeply asleep. The group had quickly noticed that as they had been awake for a few hours even if they woke up later than they usually do, they put the blame that they fell asleep very late but Isis still being asleep was getting ridiculous. They had tried making Four sneak in her room by wiggling him under her door as he was the smallest of the group. Her door gap was too small for him to fit under the door and he had almost gotten stuck completely under the door in the process. Thankfully they had managed to pull the smith out from under the door before he could start freaking out. They had to try another way as they weren't even sure if it would have worked if Four had gotten in her room to try waking her up. The group had noticed that the TV was still on and that the TV remote was in their reach.

"She used it to put on noises on the slate thing on the wall. She put it low so maybe we can put it loud"? The chosen hero spoke up as he held up the remote that had been left on the floor by Isis. "That might work but how do we use this thing"? The champion said as he observed all the buttons. The group took the time to fiddle with the buttons of the remote to figure out how it worked, the TV luckily had still been on youtube when they opened the screen from sleep mode. They had managed to go into the youtube search bar like they had seen Isis do the previous night but the alphabet was gibberish to them so they were left a bit stumped by the brick wall blocking them as they now now noticed that they had been speaking another language than Hylian the entire time they had been in this world, but they couldn't seem to read that other language and there was words that Isis said that were confusing to them. "Maybe we can speak to the thing since we can speak the same language somehow"? The traveler spoke up as he tilted his head at the object that Time was now holding, noticing the mic button that they hadn't tried out yet.

"We can try it out, I'll hold the button and you speak to it" The old man explained the plan on how to use the TV. "Loud sounds" Hyrule spoke into the remote after Time gave him the signal to speak. "Shouldn't we have asked for a Cucco screaming or something"? Wild inquired as he crossed his arms while he watched the two men work the plan. "We don't even know if they even exist in this world" Time replied as he saw that there were a bunch of different videos, with a sigh he pressed play on the first video from the search, it played the sound but it was on a low volume. The old man fiddled more with the remote until the sound was at 100%. They immediately regretted their choice as they were blasted with the loud sounds from the video. All of them trying to block the sound by pressing their hands on their ears. "IF THIS DOESN'T WORK I'M KILLING YOU GUYS"! Legend screamed out angrily at Time and Hyrule who were the ones that were the closest to the remote that was now on the ground.

A few moments later Isis bedroom door opened as she walked out of her room the noise having startling her from her sleep. The woman walked to the living room as she tried to rub the sleepiness from her eyes, her hair all over the place and tangled from having tossed and turned in her sleep. She fixed her tank top before bending down to get the TV remote from the ground, she lowered the volume before closing the TV fully. "Why did y'all do that"? She asked them with a sigh as she put the remote on a shelf of the living room putting a hand on her hip. "It's late, you sleep more than the chosen hero at this point" Legend replied with a scoff as he pointed at Sky behind him with his thumb. "Hey"! Sky said in fake offence at his words with a huff leaving him. "We had to make do with what we could" Time added with a sigh as he crossed his arms. "We're starving lady Taffeta"! Wind spoke up with a slight frown as he approached her. "It's afternoon at this point, we understood that we stayed up late, but we can't do much at our size right now" Twilight said as the group also approached the woman who opened her phone to look at the time. "Oh shit... it's 2 pm, my bad guys" She said sheepishly like she didn't just almost sleep for half the day.

"I'll go make something for y'all to eat" She said as she started to move towards her kitchen. "You're forgetting us again miss Taffeta"! Four spoke up before she could get too far away from them. "Sorry" She said awkwardly as she got on her knees so they could climb on her arms, the group gripped at her tank top for dear life as she stood up and moved towards her kitchen. 'I should make a thing to move them around without having to hold them in my arms' She thought to herself as she put them at the table, this time not forgetting to bring Wild with her so he could watch her cook. She ended up making an omelette for everyone adding some veggies and pieces of sausages she had cut small from the night before. She had started up the coffee machine before making the omelette, having the time to plate the omelette for the little guys before it finished filtering. She put all the plates on the table, including her own plate before making herself a cup of coffee adding some creamer and caramel in her cup. She got the syringe and orange juice for the group before sitting at the table with her cup of coffee as well.

"Don't let the captain get a hold of the juice this time" Twilight commented with a chuckle as he watched the woman put juice in the syringe. Warriors almost choked on his bite of omelette as he got all red from the words. "Shut it ranch hand" He replied with a scoff as he rolled his eyes at the words. "I'll be the one handling the fluids for now" Isis chimes in with a chuckle as she gestured for them to get closer to get some of the juice. "After this I'm going to get a few things for you guys" She said calmly as she took a sip of her coffee. "We will come with you" Twilight spoke up as he licked his hands after finishing his plate. "Yes, we are curious about the world here, so we will accompany you lady Taffeta" Time spoke up calmly with a nod of his head. "I don't mind, I do hope you guys can fit in a purse because y'all can't hang on my clothes all the time" She said with a chuckle as she ate the rest of her breakfast calmly.

The group stood in her bathroom for the first time while she took a shower, lounging on a shelf as they had requested to stay with her so she could answer some questions. "So what do you use as currency in this world"? The traveler asked Isis as he played with a Q-tip he found in a box nearby. "Well with the many countries there are many currencies. We mainly use metal coins, paper or plastic strips. But, nowadays we use more of a digital form where you only need a phone to pay or a plastic card" She explained calmly as she started to wash her hair with her shampoo that she thankfully didn't forget to put back in the bathroom. "Why are you so comfortable with us being here while you're naked"? The veteran asked with a scoff with a flushed look on his face as he had peaked at her body while she got undressed like a few of the others had done.

"What, never seen a naked woman before"? She asked teasingly at the question, the men collectively decided to not answer that question. "But, I know you guys won't do anything, from what I've witnessed you all are a lot more respectful than most men I've met in my life" She said calmly but loud enough for them to hear over the running water. "Are all the men in this world scums"? Warriors asked with a huff, the group felt bad as they imagined how bad she had been treated to be saying that kind of stuff. "Well, it is a world controlled by men" She replied as the water stopped running, she grabbed her fuzzy pink towel to wrap it around herself before stepping out of the shower. "I'll go dry off and get dressed, wait for me" Isis spoke up as she left the bathroom to get dressed. She came back wearing a short pink dress, the back being open, the front showing quite a lot, it fitted snugly on her and the side cut open to show her hips.

She began to blow dry her hair while she brushed the knots out with one of her hair brushes. "I put all of my biggest purses on my bed, you can all try them out to see which ones are the best to hold you all comfortably" Isis said as she got them in her arms so she could get to her bedroom to get ready while they choose their method of transportation. "Those ones are too small" The oldest of the group spoke up as he helped Isis to know which ones she had to put away. "The others are big enough for all of us to fit so you may choose which you want to take" Time added as he spoke to the taller woman. "Well, there's also how they are worn so let's test that out too" She said as she gestured for them to get in one of the five purses that looked big enough for them to fit in. This one was a maroon colour with a very long strap, it hanging almost lower than her dress. "I'm going to walk now" Isis warned before starting to walk around her room to test it out. "Okay, this is not going to work" Sky voiced out with a strain in his voice.

They all got out the purse with grunts, feeling like they had been thrown around while in a cage. "We can see why you wanted to test the purses out lady Taffeta" Time spoke up with a sigh. 'Boy am I glad that she thought to test the purses out, it would have been really uncomfortable' Time thought to himself as he watched the woman put the maroon purse away. "Are you sure you can see it as well old man"? Legend spoke up with a smirk, earning a blank stare from Time. "Speak for yourself Vet, you need a good bath" Isis spoke up as she seemed to place her purses back in her walk-in closet before walking back to the bed. "What, you're going to force me into a bowl like the others"? Legend inquired with a cocky grin as he watched the woman walk up to the bed with a sort of black cylinder in her right hand, she shook it slightly. "I don't think we have time for that" She said calmly before spraying him down with axe deodorant spray.

The veteran coughed as he was sprayed with the scented chemicals turning his back to her, the others backing away to not get the spray on them. "What in the three golden is that?! Poison"?! Legend spoke up between his coughing now that she had stopped, doing a quick spray on herself before putting it away. "No, it's to stop from smelling bad, well more like masking bad body odour" She said with a chuckle as she watched the man coughing. The others laughed at the veteran now that they knew it was harmless. "Why am I the only one that got sprayed down?! The old man also didn't take a bath"?! Legend spoke up with a grunt as he rubbed his eyes. "Does he smell bad"? Isis inquired with a raised eyebrow. "...No he doesn't" Legend replied with a huff, finally turning back to face the woman. "You got your answer" She replied with a smug smirk on her face.

"Well, let's test the black purse next" She said as she moved to pick up the black purse that sat on the bed, this one having the shortest strap that was mostly for show as she had to hold it in one arm all the time. "I'm not even going to try this one out, the goal is having both of my hands free" Isis said with a sigh as she moved away to put away the purse. She came back soon after to test out the green one, the strap was the perfect strap length but they were suffocating inside it because of how the opening was made. The only two options left was a baby blue purse and a yellow purse with the perfect openings and perfect strap length but the baby blue was too heavy and blocky unfortunately. "That one would have fitted so well with my dress, damn it" Isis voiced out her disappointment with a whine as she clenched her fist. 'At least the yellow one does fit well with my dress still, just not as much as the baby blue one' She thought to herself as she painfully put away the baby blue purse.

She started to do her skincare routine which was pretty basic after months of trying out pretty much everything in the market that didn't give side effects. She fortunately found a Japan Sakura set. It worked well with her oily skin and the set was pretty, a win for her. She put on sunscreen before doing her skincare, having to spray down her back for a while to not miss a spot, using a cream sunscreen for the rest of her uncovered body as she could reach everywhere else. Legend hiding when he saw her spraying the sunscreen on herself, there was not much place to actually hide on her dresser. "What's that"? Four asked as he saw the woman put on said sunscreen. "It's sunscreen, it protects the skin from getting sunburns" Isis explained to him calmly before turning her attention to them. "You all should also put some, it's hot and sunny outside" She said as she gestured for them to get closer so they could get some cream from her. "I don't need that to go under the sun" Legend said with a scoff. "I'm gonna spray you again, this one burns way more in the eyes" Isis warned him blankly as she reached for the spray can. "Fine! Fine" Legend said as he rolled his eyes, stepping closer to get some of the cream.

After everyone was creamed up she started her skincare which interested the captain. "More sunscreen"? He inquired with a raised eyebrow. "No, it's skincare for oily skin" Isis explained with amusement at the tone he used to ask the question. "What! They make stuff like that here?! Put that on me right now"! Warriors exclaimed with excitement as he practically jumped up at her while making grabby hands. 'That's absolutely adorable' Isis thought as she almost just instinctively pat furiously at his hair. "Sure, don't squirm around too much" Isis said with a chuckle as she scouted herself closer so they could both do the skincare. The others took interest with a few of the products and a few tried them.

"Clear lipstick"? Warriors inquired again as he saw the woman twist off a lip balm, tilting his head with curiosity. "No, it's lip balm, helps with dry lips" She explained calmly to him before putting some on her lips, rubbing them together afterwards. "I want that too" He spoke up as he again made grabby hands. 'I'm going to die of a heart attack at this point, this is so adorable' She thought as she looked at him making grabby hands. She used her pinky finger to help apply lip balm to his lips. A few others also sounded interested about not having dry lips, even Time got some. Only Four, Wind and Legend declined having some, Legend out of spite while the other two didn't really have dry lips so didn't need lip balm.

It was now almost 4 pm at this point, finally putting on her shoes to get to her car to drive to the Dollarama to get stuff to craft things to help the group. The group being taken outside for the first time since getting here, they felt the wet hot air of the outside. "Is it the middle of the summer"? Wild asked with a slight groan as they all felt uncomfortable by the humidity. "No Fall just started" She said calmly as she opened up her car to get in with them. "Fall? But, it's so hot outside"? Twilight inquired with a sigh as she closed the door of her car. She buckled herself and the purse in the passenger seat, starting up the car with a turn of the keys. 'I could be at home gooning right now' She thought to herself as she almost let out an audible whine at the thought, feeling a bit annoyed at her privacy being taken by the group.

They got a bit shaken up as she drove the car as they weren't used to being in a car at all. "Do you guys accept to cuss out any guys that get creepy, I'll reach in the purse just climb on" She said with a smug grin. "Sure we'll see if it happens" The oldest replied with a sigh, grounding himself in the purse as Isis turned sharply to go park at the building. She unbuckled herself and the purse preparing to get out as she put on the purse. She finally got out of the car after making sure everyone was doing alright in the purse walking to the building before entering it. She found a cart so she could put the purse down to find a few things she could use to craft up useful things for the group. Mostly things that would help them drink, eat, sleep and maybe take baths. She hasn't great hopes for the last thing on her mental list but she will search for something anyways just in case.

She found some sippy bottles for water you have for hamsters, the box having three inside. "You guys wouldn't mind sharing those"? She asked them as she peeked inside the purse to look at them while she spoke. "We already shared that other thing you used" Twilight replied to the question calmly to remind her of the fact. "Oh, right, forgot about that" She said with a sheepish chuckle as she played with a piece of hair. She grabbed other stuff to help her build like plastic sticks of the glue gun or pieces of wood that would help her build things. She pushed the cart to another aisle, about to skip it because it was just mostly kids toys but in the edge of her sight she saw a small bag of miniature utensils. She knew they were probably bad quality but it could still be useful for eating instead of just using their hands all the time. "Jackpot" Isis spoke up with a smile as she did a fist bump in the air. "What's a jackpot"? The youngest chimed up from the purse. "When you win something big or interesting" Isis explained calmly as she put what she found into the cart.

She walked towards the front of the store to go pay everything she had in her shopping cart. "This is a lot of stuff Isis. Are you doing a new project"? Mary is an old sweet lady still going to work at her old age as a cashier to help pay for her grandchildren's schools and other stuff since her retirement money was only for minimum necessities for one person. She put all the items on the counter so the older lady could scan the objects that seemed very random for Isis to buy. "Yes, doing some miniature art structures. I thought it would look cute" Isis replied with a polite smile as she nodded her head, waiting for all the items to be scanned. She prepared a bag to put all the items in after she would have paid for everything. "How have the grandkids been doing"? Isis asked as she waited for Mary to finish scanning everything. "Yes, I have been well, Lucas just graduated high school and Kristine just won first of her class in art" Mary gushed happily to Isis about her grandkids.

"What about the bakery, I'm starting to miss all of your baked goods"? Mary inquired as she pressed on the screen to calculate everything with the taxes. "As far as I know it should be open again in a month or so if all the renovations goes smoothly" Isis explained calmly as she got her card out to pay for everything, getting the receipt from Mary. She put what she had paid for in a bag before bidding goodbye to the older cashier going back outside to her car shortly after. "Are we going back to the house now"? Hyrule asked with a grunt, the lights of the store giving headaches to the group of heroes. "I'm going to the metro next, to pick up food. The lights there aren't as intense" Isis said and added the last part when she heard the whole group giving a strained whine as she got back in her car.

——————————

It was a fairly short drive to the next grocery store, putting on her purse again before walking out of the car again to go to the more cooled down building. "Ah, Isis, would you like to try these new fruits? Some may interest you for new recipes" One of the workers said from behind a sample stand after noticing the woman walking in the building. "Sure, I don't mind, what you got for me Sam"? Isis inquired curiously as she walked up to the stand. "You also don't mind my little friends try them out too"? She added before Sam could say what fruits were on display, moving her purse so they could get on the stand easily. "U-uh... yeah they can... Anyways we have new fresh cranberries for the season, Japanese pear and green apples" Sam presented the fruits calmly. 'I don't get paid enough to care this much' He thought to himself as he saw a group of very small men move around. They first started with the green apples, the group a bit unsure but nibbled at the piece of green apple when they saw Isis eating her own piece without hesitation.

"Is something wrong with the apple"? Isis inquired as she noticed their hesitancy on the fruit. "Green apples aren't a thing in Hyrule, it just means they aren't ripe enough yet" Wild spoke up to explain their hesitation before they gave her the rest of their piece, now curious about the next fruit they are going to try. "This one tastes like an apple but the texture is different" Sky spoke up as they now tried the Japanese pear, also giving her the rest of the piece they didn't eat. They all made sour faces when they ate the cranberries and Isis managed to take a quick picture of their reaction without them noticing. "Mhn, the cranberries are good, is this a new brand"? Isis asked Sam as she ate the cranberries that the others didn't eat. "Yeah, they are a new brand, but they're almost double the price of the ones you usually get from here" Sam said with a sigh. "Well, they lost some money with us because no one is going to buy cranberries that expensive. Except maybe David who'll make wine from them" Isis said with a laugh, a bit confused as to why this brand even bothered to get the cranberries in this small village out of nowhere.

After tasting the fruits and talking to Sam for a bit Isis made the group go back in the purse before putting them back in the metal like before. She checked in her metro app for coupons or discounts of this week for a quick meal tonight, she didn't really feel like cooking something tonight. 'Oh, strawberries and blackberries for less than two dollars, nice' She thought to herself as she spotted the berries nearby, putting them in the cart. She skipped the uncooked meats in the app and stuff she didn't need before finding rotisserie chicken already made with fries along with poutine. 'Well, they'll have to experience Canadian foods one way or another' She thought to herself with a shrug as she picked up the last items here.

While going back to the front of the store to use a self checkout she passed the spice section of the store almost just walking past it if Wild's voice speaking up from inside the purse. "What's all that"? He spoke up with a confused tone, what he was seeing wasn't anything he had seen elsewhere in the store as the spices didn't have any special design on the containers. "Oh, they're just spices" She answered calmly with a shrug not thinking much of it as she continued to move towards the front of the store. "Those are all different spices"?! He spoke up with surprise and excitement as he tried to squirm closer to the spices. "Yes, I have a cabinet full of them, you can all try them out when we get back if you want" Isis said with an amused chuckle as she gestured for him to settle down. She continued her walk towards the self checkout, scanning all the items which were only four things. It cost a total of 24.27$, simply paying with her card before grabbing her stuff after putting the cart away and putting on her purse again.

——————————

The drive back home went quite well, the group happy to be back in the calm and cold house after being outside where it was loud and way too hot during fall season. She brought the groceries from the car, putting the berries in the fridge before plating the already made stuff for everyone. She quickly washed the sippy bottles thingies putting water, orange juice and cola since they got interested in the bubbles the drink had. She found something to lean the bottles safely, planning on making a proper platform after eating. "You might have been sent to take care of us from the three golden themselves" Legend spoke up with a chuckle after they had watched her get everything ready for them and herself. "Three golden"? Isis repeated with a confused look on her face. "You know, the three goddesses"? Warriors added like it was obvious but did raise his eyebrow at her confusion. "I don't know about them, is that a religion where you all are from"? She asked with a curious look on her face as she tilted her head.

"They created our worlds, it's not just a religion it's very much real" Legend spoke up with a huff as he crossed his arms. "We don't really speak of religion here, it caused many wars and genocides" Isis spoke in a weary and somewhat sheepish tone as she scratched her cheek. "Well, it's not like I'm going to bring you all everywhere anyways" She added more calmly with a sigh. 'Maybe not until my bakery opens up again, or when I get stuff from stores... Yeah, maybe I'll have to bring them everywhere with me after all' She thought to herself as she returned to eating her meal. They all eventually finished eating, feeling quite satisfied with their portions as she cleaned everything up. They made small chitchats while she put everything away.

She picked up everyone to bring her into her study so she could craft up stuff to help carry them around and for other stuff. She first decided to make a belt with a small basket attached to it so she could carry them around without using her hands, using an old clip belt and a bread basket from restaurants to build it, adding some stuff and cloth to make it more comfortable for them. She made the platform to attach the sippy bottles safely next after testing out the belt with the group. "Okay, so for how to figure out stuff like who gets things first, I'm going to write your names on small wooden sticks so I can randomly choose, is that alright with everyone"? Isis spoke up as she got nine sticks for every single one of them. "But, we are all named Link and using the nicknames seem to make it more likely for you to lie or be biased" The oldest spoke up as they seemed unsure with the method she would use.

"What about titles? Aren't you guys heroes, you aren't sharing the same hero name like your first name"? Isis inquired with a raised eyebrow. "I guess, that would work for the names, but that doesn't help with the fact that we can't read the language here, so we can't make sure you're saying the truth about which you pick" Time said with a hum before asking further for the method she would use. "Well, the sticks are going to be upside down in a plastic cup. I also am going to show you all how your names are written. If you all are sceptical after that, I can just use my phone to read what is written out loud" She explained in a more detailed way how she would use the random picking to them.

"Fair enough" Time replied with a sigh as they stood around the small wooden sticks giving their names and watching how she wrote them. She made them small beds with those weird squishy purple beds she had bought in bulk for shits and giggles. Gluing the small beds together to fit them properly, they also got to choose the cloth she would put on each of the beds so they wouldn't get mixed up. She took the time to put their beds in the spots they liked in the guest bedroom, leaving the door open after saying goodnight to them and heading to her room to also get some sleep, leaving her own door open so the incident of this morning wouldn't happen again. She made sure she had an alarm set up on her phone before scrolling in bed until she fell asleep while watching a video on YouTube.

Notes:

Hi, author here! This is the end of this chapter, it's pretty good work. About 5200~ words. I can't believe I'm writing this but, I'm not searching for commission for my work, don't get me wrong my heart would literally do backflips if I saw fanart of any of my ocs but, unless I say so, commissions are not quite in my mind of wants. Also posted the blueprints of how Isis house looks like on instagram. Also going camping, but I managed to finish this chapter before going there.
