He woke up with a ringing in his ears and a feeling of bewilderment. His eyelids fluttered rapidly, trying to adjust to the white hospital light that flooded the room. He turned his head cautiously, finding Zeke sitting next to his bed, a worried expression seemingly etched on his face.
"Zeke, what happened?" He asked weakly, struggling to understand why he was here.
He took his hand tenderly, his eyes conveying a torrent of emotions. "You fainted while we were preparing breakfast. You scared me, Armin. My heart nearly burst out of my chest seeing you like that," he whispered in a shaky voice.
His thoughts reeled as he remembered the sudden dizziness that had overwhelmed him while he was searching for the bread. "Am I well?" He asked, eager for answers.
"They're waiting for the results of your blood test to find out what happened," he explained, his hand firmly squeezing his.
At that moment, the doctor entered the room, interrupting their conversation. "Very well, Mr Armin, you've woken up. We have your results," he announced with a kind smile.
His heart was pounding, afraid there was something wrong with him. "So what does it say?" He murmured, feeling like his own heart was about to burst out of his chest.
The doctor smiled even wider. "Congratulations, you're four weeks pregnant," he revealed, and his eyes widened in astonishment.
"Pregnant?" he repeated, the news echoing in his mind as he looked at Zeke, whose surprise mingled with a growing smile.
When the doctor left them alone, and Zeke could barely contain his excitement. "I'm going to be a dad," he said, his voice trembling slightly with the joy that flooded his being.
"We're going to be parents," Armin whispered, letting the reality of their new life together sink in completely. Zeke wrapped his arms around him in a warm embrace, his joy palpable in every movement. "I'm so excited," he admitted, his voice filled with tenderness. "We'll be the best parents, Armin."
A radiant smile spread across Armin's face as he lovingly caressed his cheek. "Yes, we'll be amazing," he replied with conviction.
And without thinking, the conversation turned to their hopes and dreams for their future child. "What do you think it will be?" Armin asked, his heart pounding with anticipation.
Zeke pondered for a moment before answering with a mischievous sparkle in his eyes. "Either way is fine. I hope our child ressembles you. Then they can have the same deep ocean eyes as you," he said, his tone filled with affection. Armin's eyes lit up with excitement at the thought, feeling his heart swell with love for this man who shared his dreams and life.
Unable to contain himself, he leaned toward him and kissed him passionately, feeling the connection between us strengthen even further in this moment of pure happiness and anticipation. Zeke responded to the kiss with a radiant smile, their lips meeting in a dance of shared happiness. After a moment, they broke apart, but his hand still held Armin's tenderly.
"Yes, it would be beautiful to have a baby," he reiterated, his eyes shining with excitement. "Imagine having our little running around the house, with your eyes and my smile."
The image painted by his words made Armin chuckle softly, feeling a comforting warmth flood his chest. "That would be adorable," he admitted, imagining the future that awaited them. But then, a mischievous thought took hold of him. "Although it would also be great to have a boy just like you," he added with a playful wink. "We could teach him how to play baseball and be a gentleman like you." Zeke laughed, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "That would be amazing too! We could do so many things together," he exclaimed, his enthusiasm infecting Armin.
They stood there, lost in their shared dreams of parenthood, talking about the adventures that lay ahead and how they would be the best parents they could possibly have for their son or daughter. At that moment, the future seemed full of promise and possibilities, and they were ready to embrace it together, with unconditional love and indescribable joy.
A month and a half had passed since they received the exciting news that they were going to be parents, and the world seemed to have filled with a new light. Zeke's grandparents as well as Armin's grandfather, had made sure everyone knew the happy news, spreading the word with typical contagious enthusiasm. Zeke and Armin had immersed theirselves in preparing for their baby's arrival, reading every book they could find about pregnancy and newborn care. There was nothing they weren't willing to do for their little treasure on the way. They had spent hours flipping through books, the pages marked with sticky notes, and their fingers were stained with ink from highlighting and writing.
As the sun set over the horizon, they decided to rest for a while, sitting together on the couch. The topic of baby names suddenly came up in the conversation. Zeke caressed Armin's belly tenderly, lost in thought.
"Any ideas on what we might name our son or daughter?" Armin asked, curious to know what thoughts were swirling around in his mind. Zeke smiled, his gaze filled with love and anticipation.
After weeks of anticipation, the day of their first ultrasound finally arrived. Zeke and Armin headed to the hospital with their hearts full of excitement and nervousness. They sat together in the waiting room, holding hands tightly as they waited for their turn. When their name was called, they entered the ultrasound room with palpable anticipation. The doctor greeted them with a warm smile and instructed Armin to get comfortable on the examination table.
The room filled with expectant silence as the doctor slid the transducer over Armin's belly. On the screen, the blurry image of their tiny, developing child appeared.
Zeke watched with shining eyes, his hand squeezing Armin's hand back tenderly. "Do you think we can tell if it's a boy or a girl?" he asked cautiously, his voice thick with emotion.
The doctor looked at them kindly. "Since it's only two and a half months along, it's a little early to determine the baby's sex. It's usually easier to identify around the fifth month of pregnancy," he explained. Zeke nodded in understanding, but a calm smile spread across his face. "I feel it's a girl," he said with conviction, his gaze meeting Armin's with love. Armin was touched by the certainty in his voice, and he could feel the connection between them strengthen even more in that moment.
Just then, the doctor pointed at the screen with a smile. "Look, here's your baby," he announced, and their eyes filled with tears of excitement as they saw the picture of their little miracle. "We can't wait to meet her," Armin whispered, his voice shaking with emotion as he held Ferit's hand tightly.
The doctor graciously offered them a printed photo of the ultrasound. Zeke gratefully accepted it, promising to treasure it. "I'm going to frame it and put it in a special place in our house," he said with a radiant smile, his heart filled with love for the little life growing inside Armin.
They hugged tenderly, knowing this was just the beginning of their beautiful adventure as parents.
After the exciting doctor's visit, Zeke suggested they go out to dinner to celebrate and unwind. Armin nodded enthusiastically, grateful for the idea. Together, they headed to their favorite restaurant, a place where the delicious food and cozy atmosphere always brought them comfort.
However, what they didn't know was that Levi, Zeke's obsessed ex boyfriend, had discovered the news that they were expecting a baby. The news had plunged him into a state of madness and resentment, fueling her obsession with hurting Armin.
Unfortunately for the couple, Levi worked as a cook at the restaurant they had decided to visit that night. Upon seeing them enter, a malicious smile spread across his face as he plotted his plan.
Levi surreptitiously left the kitchen and crossed to the nearby pharmacy, where he knew he could get what he needed to carry out his plan. With determination in his eyes, he began to put his twisted goal into action, determined to make Zeke and Armin suffer for what he considered his loss.
Meanwhile, Zeke and Armin enjoyed their dinner, immersed in their own happiness and oblivious to the dangers brewing in the shadows. Laughing and sharing moments of complicity, they immersed themselves in their love, unaware of the dangers lurking in the darkness.
They were enjoying a quiet dinner, immersed in the warmth of their favorite restaurant, when suddenly, the melody of their wedding song filled the air. Zeke's eyes met Armin's, and without needing words, he knew he wanted to dance.
He stood up from his chair with a smile, extending his hand to his partner. "Would you like to dance, love?" He asked gently.
Armin nodded with a smile, tenderly taking his hand. They headed to the small, open space near their table, wrapped in the sweet memory of their special day. They danced slowly, lost in their own world of love and connection, when he noticed a change in Armin's expression.
"Are you okay?" Zeke asked worriedly, seeing him frown. Armin clung to him a little tighter, his voice barely a whisper. "My stomach hurts a lot," Armin admitted, his tone filled with anguish.
Before he could answer, he saw Armin's face pale and fall in his arms. Panic gripped him as he held Armin carefully, desperately searching for an explanation as to what was happening.
It was then that he saw the bloodstain on Armin's clothes, and he knew something was terribly wrong. "Armin!" He exclaimed, his voice filled with fear and worry.
Without wasting a second, Zeke scooped Armin up in his arms and rushed him to the car, his mind racing with a thousand thoughts at once. "Hang in there, my love, everything's going to be okay," he murmured, trying to reassure him as he carefully placed Armin in the passenger seat.
As he drove to the hospital, his heart pounded madly in his chest, filled with fear for what lay ahead. "Little treasure, please hold on a little longer, hold on a little longer. Your parents haven't even carried you yet, please don't go," he pleaded softly into Armin's belly, hoping his words would reach their unborn baby.
They arrived at the hospital, and he rushed him to the emergency room.
Praying silently for the safety of Armin and their child. "Please tell them it's an emergency," he informed the medical staff as they wheeled Armin away on a stretcher.
Zeke sat in the waiting room, his heart in my mouth, waiting for news. Every minute that passed felt like an eternity, and his thoughts oscillated between hope and the deepest fear. Finally, the doctor approached him with a serious and concerned look. Zeke's hands trembled as he waited to hear the news about Armin's health and their baby.
"How is Armin? And our baby?" He asked with a lump in his throat, barely able to get the words out.
The doctor took a moment before answering, his eyes expressing a mixture of sympathy and concern. "I'm sorry, Zeke, but there are complications," he began, and Zeke felt his heart sink in his chest. "The bleeding Armin experienced indicates that there is a significant risk of losing the baby."
His eyes widened in horror at the doctor's words, his mind struggling to process the reality of what he was hearing. "No!" He exclaimed, denial and fear fighting to take control of his emotions. "It can't be! We can't lose our baby!"
The waiting room seemed to spin around him as he struggled to maintain his composure. Tears began to emerge, no matter how hard he tried to hold them back. He felt a lump form in his throat and an unbearable pain in his chest as the reality of the danger they faced took hold.
"No, please, no," he murmured between breaths, his hands balled into helpless fists. "I'll do anything, endure anything, but please don't take our baby away from us," he begged the universe, feeling his heart shatter at the prospect of losing their child before he'd even met them.
His tears flowed freely now, his pain and despair escaping with every breath. He clung to hope with all his might, but fear and uncertainty threatened to completely overwhelm him. At that moment, all he could do was hold on, pray for a miracle, and ask fate to allow them to keep their little family together.
