Chapter Text
Kim Namjoon stared out the window onto the bustling streets of Seoul. He could see everything in the city from his penthouse window. Sometimes, he wondered if someone would be staring at him from below. His phone buzzing on the table behind him snapped him out of his thoughts. As he recognised the familiar caller ID, he picked up the call calmly. “Jimin?”
“Hyung, somethings wrong,”
“What happened?”
“The money that's supposed to be brought in today has been stolen.”
“Fuck, how much money?”
“1 billion Won,”
Namjoon exhales. What’s he gonna do now?
“Don’t worry, I’ve sent our team to look into it.”
Namjoon sighs in relief, knowing that his team will take care of everything. One billion Won isn’t even that much money. Maybe it’s the fact that someone stole from him. Either way, he wants that money back and wants to punish the fool who thought it would be a good idea to steal from the biggest gang in Seoul.
“The men who were transferring the money were both killed. So it isn’t someone inside.”
“Anything else you know?”
“The bag that the money was being carried in was empty except for a bouquet”
“That’s stupid, what does that even mean?”
“We don’t know, but the label leads us to a local florist. I’ll send our team there tomorrow to investigate it.” Jimin adds.
“I can always rely on you, Jimin.”
“It’s my job,” he replied before Namjoon hung up on him. he rubbed his hand across his face from exhaustion. It’s late now, he should sleep, he thinks, before walking over to his bedroom.
The next day, after more investigation, Jungkook, one of Namjoon’s men, sent out a team to get more clues on the stolen money.
He sent Sophia, Manon, and Daniela to the florist, which the flower's label had mentioned. The bag had thistle flowers in it, which were used as a symbol of aggression and intrusion. Whoever had stolen their money was threatening them and warning them as if there were going to be more problems their way.
The girls wore casual clothes not to draw much attention towards themselves as they walked into the florist's shop. The intense aroma of the flowers laid out there was something the girls had to get used to.
Sophia ruffles through her black locks before walking up to one girl with wide eyes to ask her, “Do you sell thistle flowers here?”
The worker nodded and spoke softly in English, “We do! Would you like to buy them?” Manon was quite surprised by this as the girl spoke English fluently despite living here in Korea, maybe she isn't Korean?
Sophia shook her head “Do you have the name of a customer who bought thistles yesterday?” She questioned as the worker's expression shifted to one of confusion.
“I'll look into that, just gimme a minute,” she muttered before walking behind the counter and past the door over there. Manon could hear her talking to another girl over there, but they weren't loud enough for her to hear what they were saying.
The worker stepped out the door with another girl who had a clipboard in her hand. There was something about the other that Manon found incredibly attractive, maybe it was her curly black hair, her siren eyes, or the small detail of the piercing on her long nose. The girl’s facial structure and skin colour make her look Indian. Manon took the time to notice what she wore, a baggy hoodie falling loosely on her shoulders, paired with dark jeans. Despite her wearing casual clothes, her beauty still stood out. Manon’s eyes trailed over her collarbone, which was revealed through her hoodie.
“Someone called, Son Chaeyoung bought the flowers yesterday”, The other girl said while looking at Sophia.
“Do you remember what she looked like?” Manon asked.
“She was wearing a hat so I couldn’t see her face, but she had long black hair,”
“Anything else you remember?” The worker shook her head with a frown.
“Alright, thank you,” Sophia nodded before she started walking away to the door as Manon followed behind her. They walked out of the shop and Sophia stood in front of their car while Manon leaned on it facing the shop. She could see that the girl in the shop was looking at her, but turned away when their eyes met.
“You think we've got enough details?” Sophia sighs
“Boss would want more, though.”
“Yeah, but we got a name for now.”
Manon couldn’t take her eyes off the girl inside the shop; something about her was just so captivating that it drew Manon closer and closer. What Manon found more attractive was the fact that the girl was also taking glances at her, and it was pretty obvious.
“Can we go back now?” Daniela, who was in the driver’s seat, yelled. They got into the car and drove to where Jimin was to tell him the information. Once they reached outside of Jimin’s apartment, Sophia walked out of the car to talk to him while the other girls stayed inside.
“Dani, you wanna go to one of the clubs today? I’m kinda bored,” Manon said.
“Yeah sure, let’s just hope that we don’t have anything else to do today,” Daniela replied. Sophia hops back into the car and speaks,
“That was so exhausting, can we please go somewhere less boring?
“You wanna come to the club with me and Manon?”
“Yeah sure, we don’t have anything else to do,”
“It’s too early to go there now, I’m gonna go back home and we’ll go at night, sounds good?” Manon suggested, and both of them nodded, as Daniela drove to Manon’s apartment. She scrolled on her phone for a while before the thought of the girl came into her mind again. Why can’t Manon get her out of her head? She doesn’t even know her name. Maybe she should stop by the florist more often, she could buy some flowers for her house.
Chapter Text
It's evening, and the girls go to one of Namjoon's clubs. They park their car in front of the building, which has a neon sign that reads “House of Cards.”
They walked into the building, and the bright blue lighting was off-putting at first, but they eased into it. They scanned around the room for any open seats while Manon walked to the bartender to get a drink. As she waited for her order to be prepared, she noticed a familiar face from the corner of her eye. It was the curly-haired girl from the flower shop. Why was she here? Manon wondered, but she walked to the table with the drinks in her hand, where Sophia and Daniela were.
As they kept talking and drinking, Manon couldn’t distract herself, her eyes kept finding their way back to that girl. Daniela suddenly snapped her out of her thoughts,
“Why do you keep looking over there?”
“Those are the girls we spoke to at the flower shop. It looks like they both are here, too,” Manon sighs and takes a sip of her drink.
“You wanna go talk to them?”
“Should I?”
“Maybe go buy her a drink if you wanna flirt with her,” she suggested, and Manon stood up from her seat and walked to the girl, adjusting her suit. The girl turned towards her, and she softly smiled.
“You're the girl from the flower shop, right?”
“Oh hey, I'm Lara,”
“You can call me Manon.” She took a moment to notice the black dress she wore and how it wrapped around her figure perfectly.
“Can I buy you a drink?” Manon asked nervously but didn't let it show.
“Sure”, Lara replied, her lips twitching up into a smirk.
As Manon handed over her drink to Lara, she felt curious and asked,
“Are you dating anyone?”
Lara's eyes widened at that, but she replied confidently,
“Aren't you curious to know?”
“I would hope that you're single, but I wouldn't be surprised if you weren't.”
“Lucky for you, I am single.”
“That's good to hear,” Manon smiled as she moved her hand up to Lara’s ear, tucking her hair behind, revealing her earring that sparkled almost as brightly as her smile.
She felt herself melting under the intensity of Lara's gaze, her heart fluttering when she leaned into her touch.
Fuck
Manon suddenly recognised a familiar voice in the building, she snapped out of her thoughts and turned her head to find her boss talking to Daniela and Sophia. “I have to go, I'm sorry”, she said to Lara, who tried to grab her wrist but ultimately failed.
Manon walked towards Namjoon and bowed to greet him. She noticed that accompanying Namjoon was his right-hand man, Min Yoongi, as well as his most trusted members.
“What’re you kids doing here?” Jin, Namjooon’s boyfriend, asked.
“Aren’t we allowed to have a bit of fun?” Daniela replied. “Why are you also here?”
“We have a meeting now, unfortunately,” said Hoseok.
“Manon, who were you talking to, huh?” Taehyung slyly asked while stepping forward, while Manon scoffed. “That’s none of your business.”
“And I thought I was quite the playboy,” Jungkook joked, making everyone but Manon giggle. “Don’t y'all have a meeting or something?”
“Since you girls are here too, you should join us,” Namjoon ordered firmly. The girls rolled their eyes in frustration, but they attended the meeting anyway.
They stepped out of the private room in exhaustion, smelling like alcohol and cigarettes. Their boss discussed the current problem they were facing and how to resolve it. Manon was spacing out most of the time and didn’t remember most of the details, except for the fact that Namjoon ordered them to collect more clues and information from the connections they had. It was late at night, and Lara or her friends seemed nowhere to be found, suggesting that they had left. And so, Manon also decided to head home.
The next day, before Sophia and her team headed out for more clues, they stopped at their usual coffee shop in the city. They parked their car quite far from the building and walked closer to it.
Looking through the glass doors, Manon was shocked by what happened inside, freezing for a moment before she ran into the building. Her eyes fell onto the unfamiliar man in a suit, who was being tackled by Lara. She swung at him, her fist hitting his jaw, throwing him unconscious onto the ground. She turned to see Sophia and Daniela holding Lara back and making sure she was ok.
Standing behind the counter were the florist and another girl who looked Asian.
“Y’all okay?” she asked while the two girls nodded nervously.
Her eyes darted back to Lara, who stepped closer to her, “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” Manon breathed. “What’re you doing here anyway?”
“We work here part-time”, Lara added.
“Can we get some coffee?”
Lara was a bit thrown back by this, but still took down their orders. The three sat down at a table after tying up the guy and throwing him in the trunk of their car, waiting for their orders to be prepared. She placed their drinks down on the table along with some sandwiches that they didn’t order.
“We didn’t buy this,” Sophia mentioned.
Suddenly, the younger-looking girl from behind the counter spoke, “Oh, it’s fine, just have it, you basically saved our lives.”
“You guys must be hungry, right? So just eat it,” The other girl added.
“What’re your guys’ names?” Sophia intrigued.
“I’m Megan and she’s Yoonchae,” they introduced while Manon, Sophia, and Daniela did the same.
Lara asked out of curiosity, “You guys work for Kim Namjoon, right?”
The others were quite surprised by how she knew, and Daniela asked.
“How did you know?”
“I saw you guys talking to him at the club, and I just guessed,” She explained.
“Didn’t know such pretty girls work dangerous jobs,”
“We’re full of surprises,” Manon added before they finished drinking their coffee and headed out for the day. She also managed to get Lara’s number before they left.

Chapter Text
The day after, Sophia and her team headed out again hoping to find more information on the girl. In the end, it was already the evening and they had nothing as no one seemed to know about her. Tired and hungry, the three of them went back to their usual cafe. Manon opened the door hearing the jingle of the bells and was greeted by Lara who was preparing an order behind the counter. Despite her being busy her eyes seemed to land only on Manon.
She placed the orders for her team and sat down at the table facing the window. Lara called out her order and Manon went to pick it up when Lara asked,
“Can you do me a favour and stay here for like 10 more minutes? I just wanna talk to you outside,”
Manon nodded, not knowing what to say. She was a bit curious to know what it was about but still excited. She took the drinks from her and headed to her table.
“What did she say,” Daniela teased, her voice filled with mischief.
“None of your business,” Manon snapped back.
“Come on, we're just curious,” Sophia added.
“She wants to talk with me in about 10 minutes,”
“Hope you both do more than just talk,” Daniela said, making Manon sigh heavily.
After she drank her coffee, the shop slowly became empty with even Sophia and Daniela leaving.
Lara walked towards Manon and gestured for her to go outside with her.
The cold air hit them as soon as they stepped outside the building, they walked towards an alleyway, and Manon leaned on the wall and lit a cigarette for her to smoke, while Lara observed her standing beside her.
Lara's eyes focused on Manon’s lips as she took a drag of smoke before huffing it out. “You said you wanted to talk,” Manons said, snapping Lara out of her thoughts.
“Uh- yeah, you were looking for someone called Chaeyoung right? I remember her face and when I went to the mall yesterday I saw her there.”
Manon’s eyes widened, “What was she doing there?”
“Don’t know, she was just walking alone,
I noticed a tattoo on her neck by the way.”
“Oh yeah? What kinda tattoo?”
“It had the letters ‘JYP’ on it,”
Manon raised her hand and rubbed it on her face upon hearing her words.
“Is that bad?” Lara inquired
“Don't worry about it.”
Manon sighed and she could feel Lara's gaze on her, intensely piercing through her skin. She turned her head to look right at her which was a bad idea considering the fact that Lara gave her shivers down her spine.
Lara lifted her hand to take Manon’s cigarette, brushing her fingers and taking a smoke of it without breaking eye contact. She got a faint taste of Manon’s lip gloss before she gave the cigarette back to Manon whose heart was racing.
“You're shaking,” Lara teased, her voice soft.
“Who wouldn't be, you’re looking at me like you wanna eat me,” Manon said, forming a smirk on Lara’s face.
Namjoon and his men gathered for a meeting at Yoongi's house. They didn't know why when Jimin announced the information that he got from Manon. While the rest of them carefully listened and discussed plans, their youngest, Jungkook struggled to stay awake through it all. He slumped against Yoongi who was beside him, closing his eyes and breathing in his scent. Though the others noticed him sleeping, they were too worried to wake him up. Despite the random yelling, arguing and loud giggles Jungkook managed to fall deep into sleep, nothing in the surroundings disturbing him.
Jungkook slowly woke up in Yoongi's house, his eyes still blurry, his head resting on Yoongi's lap as he brushed through the younger boy's hair while smoking a cigarette in his other hand. He sat up on the sofa without saying a word, grabbing Yoongi's attention.
“How long did I sleep?”
“Two hours?”
“Sorry for sleeping through the entire meeting.”
“It's fine, get some more sleep,” Yoongi sighed.
“What did you all talk about?”
“Jimin got some information saying that the person who stole the money was working for Jin Young Park, he's pissed off.”
“Why would he be pissed off?”
“His ex-girlfriend worked for him,”
Jungkook's eyes widened at that.
“What do we do now?’
“We're gonna send in our people to look into that gang because we don't know much about it. Maybe find out the boss’ location and other things to get the money back,” Yoongi explained.
Jungkook nodded and leaned on Yoongi's shoulder.
“If you wanna sleep more you can stay the night, it's late.”
“I'll just sleep right here.”
“Really? You're not gonna let me move?”
“Nope.”
Yoongi sighed and threw away his cigarette before closing his eyes and leaning against Jungkook. He usually takes a while to sleep but this time he seems to fall right into it. Maybe it's the temperature of the room or even Jungkook's scent that helps him sleep. The younger boy too falls asleep quickly, his heartbeat slowing down.
Yoongi looks back to the time he first met Jungkook.
It was a typical day in high school when Yoongi showed up late and was held in detention, and he met Jungkook. He was different back then, small with big doe-eyes and shorter than Yoongi.
They were good friends in high school. Yoongi doesn't remember what happened back then after he got hit in the head really hard once. He never asked Jungkook about the things they did together in high school because he always looked a bit upset when he mentioned it. Yoongi hates to see the boy upset so he never asks again. But sometimes he liked to wonder what really happened back then.
He woke up to see Jungkook still leaning on him. From the light passing through the window, he understood that it was early in the morning. He gently moved away from Jungkook, trying not to wake him up to get ready for the day.

Chapter Text
Jungkook drove carefully down the street, his hands gripping the steering wheel, while Hoseok and Taehyung sat in the back, curious to know where he was taking them. After some time, Jungkook parked his car in front of a tattoo shop and stepped out of the vehicle.
“This is where you brought us?” Taehyung asked.
“This is the guy who does my tattoos; he might know something about Jin-Young,” Jungkook replied before walking into the store.
The parlour had a dark interior, with a few neon signs on the walls and several posters of rock bands. Next to one of the chairs was a black- haired man with a sleeve of tattoos on his arm. Jungkook went up to him and greeted him, “Hyung! What’s up?” while Hoseok and Taehyung stood behind him, confused. The man patted Jungkook’s back and stood up, facing the others. Jungkook introduced the man as ‘Park Jae-Beom’.
“Did you guys come here for a tattoo?” He asked.
“Actually, we think you have some information that might be useful to us,” Hoseok said.
“Do you know anything about Park Jin-Young?”
“I’ve tattooed a few of his men, but he’s never come here,” Jae-Beom explained. He thought for a moment and spoke again, “He owns a lot of casinos, big on gambling.”
“Do you know which casinos he owns?” Taehyung questioned.
“I don’t know about any of that, but I think I know someone who does. Her name is Lee Ji-Eun.”
“Oh, Yoongi knows her well,” Jungkook added.
“I think we’ll take it from here. Thanks for the help,” Hoseok mumbled before turning away and walking to the car.
“I’ll see you later, alright,” Jungkook added once more before following the guys to the car. They all sat inside and thought for a while before Taehyung broke the silence.
“What now?”
“I’ll call Yoongi,” Jungkook said before rummaging through his pocket, getting his phone and calling Yoongi. He picked up relatively quickly, which surprised him.
“Yoongi-hyung?”
“Yeah?”
“You know Lee Ji-eun, right?”
“Hmm?”
“She might know something about Park Jin-Young. Apparently, that guy runs several casinos, so we should probably ask her.”
“I’ll set up a meeting with her, thanks.”
“Can I come?”
“Sure, why not? I’ll tell you the timings later, don’t be late,” Yoongi advised before hanging up the call. Taehyung and Hoseok turned their head curiously,
“What’d he say?”
“He said that he’ll meet her later, and I’m going with him,” Jungkook added, and the others looked away and nodded, relieved that they had no more work to do.
.
Manon sat next to her window, watching the droplets of rain sliding down the glass. The sky was grey, covered in mist; she could barely see the trees beyond it, and the sound of the rain soothed her. She grabbed her phone and played her usual set of favourite songs. They were all from the same artist, ‘Rajberry’. Manon liked her voice; it made her feel like she was floating, plus she liked the beats she made.
Whenever the song called ‘Homegirls’ started playing, Manon would fantasise that it was her with an imaginary woman; this time it was different.
Lara
She was thinking about Lara. The lyrics, music, and whole vibe of the song reminded her of Lara. She had never thought about a woman like this, let alone be obsessed with one like this. She hoped that Lara would also think about Manon like this. But what if she doesn’t? Manon would feel like a loser.
The music stopped, and the phone rang. Reading that it was Lara who was calling made her anxious; it was almost as if she jinxed it. She took a deep breath before picking up the call.
“Hello?”
“Hey!” Lara spoke softly. “What’re you doing?”
“Just listening to music.”
“Are you free right now?”
“Yeah, why?”
“Wanna go out and get dinner?” Lara suggested, making Manon even more nervous.
“Where?”
“I’ll send you the location.”
“Gimme some time to get ready, I’ll be there,” Manon sighed.
She quickly did her makeup and changed into something more stylish, a top with a leather jacket and some cargo. She grabbed her keys and helmet before walking out the door, checking her phone for the restaurant’s location. It’s not too far away, she hopes that she will arrive early and that Lara doesn’t wait for too long. She hops onto her bike and drives through the streets of Seoul, always full of hustle and bustle.
When she finally gets to the place, she carefully parks the bike and takes off her helmet while scanning the parking lot. She locked eyes with Lara, who walked closer to her, the car behind her driving off.
“Didn’t know you were a biker girl,” Lara added, a surprised expression on her face.
“Do you like it?”
“You look hot like this,” she teased, making Manon blush like a teenager. She looked away and replied,
“Thanks, you look great too.”
Just before they stepped into the building, Manon’s phone rang. She was confused, as it was Min Yoongi who was calling her. She hoped that she didn’t have any jobs right now.
“Hello, sir?”
“Manon, why are you going on a date right now?”
She jumped a bit, making Lara confused. Manon turned her head and looked around the place, only to spot Yoongi’s car parked not too far from her and Lara. She walked towards the vehicle, and Yoongi rolled the window down, revealing his face and Jungkook, who was sitting beside him in the passenger seat. Manon immediately bowed and looked at him, confused.
“That’s the girl you were talking to at the club, right?” Jungkook asked, and she nodded.
“We just wanted to prank you a bit so you can go now,” Yoongi explained with a small smile.
“Oh, okay, but what are you doing here?”
“We just came to talk to an associate about the whole Park Jin-young situation.”
Manon nodded understandingly and walked away after a moment. She sighed, a bit relieved that it wasn’t anything serious. She smiled and explained to Lara that it was just her boss before they finally stepped inside the building.
Chapter Text
Yoongi looked out of his car window, and Jungkook looked at him. The surroundings were dark and cold as he stared at the restaurant they had come back from. Yoongi snapped out of his thoughts when Jungkook asked,
“Have you ever been on a date?” The words came out of his mouth unexpectedly, as if he didn’t think about it for even a second.
He thought for a moment and answered, “Only a few times, it’s mainly just meetings with old people.”
Jungkook nodded. He sat quietly before he asked again. “Let’s go on a date”
It was awkward to ask someone who cared for you like a brother to go on a date that was primarily intended for romantic relationships. But Jungkook just wanted to spend more time with Yoongi.
Yoongi turned to him, confused and asked, “Why?”
Jungkook looked away to the other window and spoke softly, “Just for a break.”
Yoongi smiled softly, brushed his hand through his hair, and agreed to it.
.
Lara and Manon sat at a table near the window in the building, with Manon momentarily glancing at Yoongi’s car until it drove away randomly. She snapped her head back to Lara, who asked,
“How did you end up with these guys anyway?”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, how did you become a gangster, like how did you just start working for them?”
“My parents also worked for them, so I joined.”
They took a few bites from their dishes before Lara asked another question.
“Do you have any hobbies, you know, other than committing crimes?”
Manon ruffled her hands through her curls and spoke,” I guess I work out, and this is random, but I like riding my bike around the city while listening to music,” Manon explained, making Lara smile.
“Biker girlfriend”, she mumbled, hoping that Manon wouldn’t hear.
“How come you live in Seoul?” Manon asked, looking up at Lara.
“I was born in New York, but I moved here ‘cause of family business,” she explained.
“Where do you live?”
“I have an apartment with my friends, and we all go to the same college. What about you?”
“I live in an apartment not too far from here.”
They spoke casually, asking each other many questions to get to know one another better. Once they finished eating their dinner, they stepped outside. Manon turned to Lara and asked,
“How’re you gonna go home?”
“I’ll ask Megan to pick me up.”
“I’ll drop you off if you want,” Manon offered while patting the seat of her bike.
“You know what? Why not?” Lara muttered before getting onto the bike, softly leaning against Manon. She nudged Lara’s hand gently and said, “Hold onto me”
She felt her arms wrapping around her waist and looked at the mirror to see Lara’s head resting on her shoulder. Manon's heart fluttered a bit at the action, but she started the bike, the sound of the engine startling Lara slightly before she drove off.
The feeling of driving through the bustling streets of Seoul at night, with the wind flowing through her hair, was surreal to Lara. She had been on bike rides before, but none of them felt this thrilling. Every time they made a sharp turn, she gripped Manon tighter and occasionally, Manon would take glances at the mirror, admiring the girl sitting behind her whenever she told her the directions to her house.
When they finally reached the small apartment, Lara got down carefully, still fazed by the ride. “Today was really nice,” Manon said.
“I enjoyed it too,” Lara smiled, looking at her reflection on the visor of Manon’s helmet. Lara didn’t seem to think even for a second before she reached out her hand and gently lifted it, revealing Manon’s vivid, deer-like eyes. Manon felt her cheeks heating up as Lara admired her. Before either of them could say anything, Lara’s expression turned unreadable, and she closed the visor again, turning around to catch her breath.
“Well… I’ll see you later, I hope,” Lara mumbled, still confused as to what she just did.
Manon swallowed and managed to say,” Yeah, let’s hang out again.”
They looked at each other once more before Lara waved and stepped into the apartment. Manon waited for her to get into the elevator before she started her bike again and drove back to her house.
.
Yoongi and Jungkook barged into the building, tired, drunk and full. They just reached Yoongi’s apartment after getting some more food together. Yoongi groaned as Jungkook plopped down onto the couch, “Don’t sleep here, come upstairs.”
“Hmm?” Jungkook wondered. Yoongi patted the younger boy’s shoulder and nodded, implying that he followed him. Jungkook got up lazily and slung his arm around Yoongi’s shoulder.
They walked to the bedroom, and Jungkook didn’t think once before getting onto the mattress and wrapping himself under the blanket. Yoongi took off his jacket before lying down beside the boy.
Jungkook fell asleep soundly; nothing could wake him now, unlike Yoongi, who woke up in the dead of night to a suspicious noise. It was like a clicking sound followed by several thumping sounds. He jerked up and looked at Jungkook, who was still asleep.
What the hell?
He opened the bedside drawer and picked up the handgun while making his way to the door without a sound. He opened the door with his back pressed against the wall, and he poked his head, looking around the hallway for anything.
He was thrown off by a shadowy figure that swung at him as soon as he stepped out of the room. Yoongi tried his best to fight in the dim lighting where he could barely see the man’s face. There were 3 men in his house. He just hoped that he could finish all of them before they got to Jungkook or stole anything valuable. The gun in his hand was empty, so he hit the back of the gun against a man’s head, smoothly knocking him out.
Yoongi stood there, breathing heavily, the bodies of the men smothered with blood all across his kitchen.
Jungkook?
He ran back to the room and sighed when he saw Jungkook in the same position as if nothing had happened.
Chapter Text
Namjoon and his men gathered at his penthouse for a meeting. Some of them were sitting down on the velvet couch, while others stood near the kitchen counter, grabbing themselves a drink. Everyone was present, everyone except for Jimin.
“When is Jimin gonna get here?” Jin groaned, rubbing his temple and taking a sip of his drink.
“I heard that he was out talking to the girls,” Yoongi mentioned.
“Let’s just wait until he gets here before we start talking,” Namjoon said, but was cut off by the sound of footsteps behind him. It was Jimin, strutting down the hallway as if he were a model, looking like he spent too much time on his hair and outfit.
“I thought you were working?” Jungkook questioned but turned away.
“Why’d you call us here, hyung?” Jimin asked, turning to Namjoon before taking a seat and crossing his legs.
“This Jin-young Park case is really pissing me off. He’s stolen so much from me, and we haven’t even seen what he looks like. The point is, Yoongi and Jungkook have found the location of one of his casinos, and I think one of the ways to get back at him is through this,” Namjoon explained as the others listened carefully and nodded.
“Should we like, burn it down?” Hoseok suggested, making all the heads in the room turn to him.
“That’s what I thought, too, but that would put several lives at risk. I planned to rob his casino to make it equal. We don’t really have to worry about security. I don’t expect his casino to be very high-end, so this might be quite easy for us.”
“How many casinos does he own? If there are too many, we have a high chance that his security system would be too hard to break into.” Jin advised patting Namjoon’s shoulder.
“We’ll send somebody to look into the place, find out everything that goes on over there. But, who should we send?” Yoongi spoke and then turned to Jimin.
“Yeonjun is good at that stuff, I should probably send him.”
“Send one more person so that it isn’t too suspicious,” Taehyung spoke up.
“Sophia is also really good, let’s send her?” Hoseok asked, looking over to Namjoon with curious eyes.
Namjoon thought for a moment and finally nodded, “Yeah, I think that’s good for now”.
“What do we do after that?” Jungkook popped up with wide eyes.
“We’ll come up with a plan to break into the vault according to how the place is,” Yoongi reassured.
“That’s enough serious talk now, let’s relax now,” Jin added, trying to calm down the others. Jungkook leaned back into the couch, letting himself breathe, and his eyes fluttered shut as if he had been trying hard to keep them open for a while. Like a dream, a soft voice speaks to him. “You tired?” Jungkook opens his eyes and looks at Yoongi,
“I didn’t sleep much,” he replies. Yoongi nods softly and adds, “Me neither”.
“I think the time I slept at your house was the best sleep I got so far,” Jungkook says, making Yoongi’s eyes slightly widen, but he brushed it off as if he didn’t want the younger boy to notice, but he did.
.
Manon was driving Sophia to the casino as the boss ordered her to. Sophia would meet there with Yeonjun, and they would be looking around the place and collecting all the information about it.
“I’ve never met this guy before, only heard about him. What do you think he’s like?” Sophia was intrigued, taking a sip of the coffee in her hand.
“I’ve never heard of this guy either, but if he works for Namjoon, he should be a good guy,” Manon guessed, hands on the wheel. Both their eyes widened when they noticed the glowing building in front of them. The casino was huge, bigger than they had expected. As she parked the car, Sophia stepped out and immediately walked to Yeonjun, leaning on his car and ruffling his red hair.
Manon had a lot of time for her now; she had to wait in the parking lot and answer the phone immediately if Sophia had called her. Looking around a building that big would take a very long time. What to do? She wondered. She took out her phone, connected it to the speakers of the car and played some of her favourite songs. It was no surprise that she played the songs by Rajberry again. Her voice gave her goosebumps, the kind of feeling she gets when she’s talking to Lara. Fuck, she’s thinking about Lara again. Why was she always stuck in her head? Why her?
Manon wasn’t the type to catch feelings for people easily, so why does she feel this way? Maybe it was Lara’s siren-like eyes, or the way she dresses so flawlessly, maybe it’s her scent that she really likes. The song that played reminds her of Lara, and she can’t stop listening to it. It’s getting under her skin; she feels possessed by the song. Every time the artist said ‘baby’, Manon felt like she was going to float; she wished it was Lara who would call her that.
After the song ended, Manon calmed her heart down a bit before realising that a new song by the artist automatically played after. A new song with a cover of the city at night and a bike in the frame. The title was called ‘Revved’, like a bike? She wondered if the singer likes to bike as well. She immediately connected with the song; her voice and the beats were perfect to Manon’s taste. She decided to leave a comment under the song, hoping that the singer would see it. Little did she know…
Lara sat in front of the computer, her hands playing across the keyboard in a paced manner. She was listening to her new song over and over again, making sure it was perfect. Being a producer wasn’t easy, especially when she was the one who wrote and sang her songs. She scrolled down to look at the comments and what the people thought of it. Thankfully, all of the comments were positive, but one caught on. A user called ‘Peanutbutterlover02’ wrote a long message on how she loved all of the music she made. It seemed to warm Lara’s heart, and for the first time, she replied to the comment.

The men gathered around the table every now and then glancing at the map in the centre. It was the layout of Jin Young’s casino. Sophia and Yeonjun did a great job at helping them get to know the in and out of the building. While taking in the structure of each feature Namjoon got a little worried, the place had high security despite it not being one of Jin Young’s major casinos. How was he going to break into the vault?
Say, if he somehow manages to get past the security and bypass the laser-system, how would he get out of the place without anyone noticing the money had disappeared? He sighed heavily, worried.
“There’s got to be an easier way to do this,” Jin scratched his head, frustrated.
“Wouldn’t it be more efficient if we burnt down the place?” Hoseok suggested.
“I don’t want to put other people’s lives in danger, Jin Young is the enemy,” Namjoon said.
“We can’t just break into this shit and get out alive,” Yoongi grumbled and sat down away from the group. “Give me some time, I'll figure it out.”
“Damn he’s really focused,” Jimin teased playfully.
.
“Wanna go out again? I’ll drive this time”
Manon read the text from Lara, still confused on what to do. She’d already seen the message so she replied quickly without thinking much. “Yeah sure”
“Can’t wait, I’ll pick you up”
Damn what the hell is she doing, going on dates when their boss would probably give them work to do soon. It was all worth it when it’s Lara, she thinks she’s obsessed.
She puts on her favourite song which oddly reminds her of Lara, on her phone and places it down on the stand before going to get ready. She wears a dark shirt with a jacket on top and heads out. She stood and waited on the street before the black-car pulled next to her.
She opened the door to find Lara at the driver’s seat looking at her eagerly to get in, with hooded eyes. Her hands rested on the wheel, while her fur jacket loosely hung on her shoulders.
“Missed me?” Manon asked while adjusting her seatbelt. Lara doesn’t take her eyes off the girl and replies with her voice low, “Don’t even joke.”
She starts the car and drives to the restaurant, the streets are dimly lit by the traffic lights and everything is gloomy, exactly how Manon would like the city to be. On the highway after a while, two cars zoomed past them with extreme speed leaving behind smoke and dust. Startled, Manon turned her towards them and for some reason it looked familiar. She had seen that exact car somewhere and the driver too looked like someone she knew.
.
Yoongi and Jungkook left Namjoon’s apartment at the same time and feeling playful, they decided to race each other. They zoomed through the city in speed and style. It was a playful duel but the adrenaline was high, but like all challenges Jungkook won.
He demanded a barbeque from Yoongi and they parked the cars and went to their local restaurant. The red lights and lanterns of China town and the constant yelling of people was something they were familiar with. The cold air brushed past them and Yoongi took a deep breath getting a whiff of the street food.
They ate and drank well, maybe a bit too much, so they sat in the back of Jungkook’s car which was closer, for a while until the alcohol wore off. This is fine right? He’s just a little distracted but he’s happy, as long as he’s with Jungkook.
“Do you believe in aliens?” Jungkook rambled as Yoongi sighed, “How much did you drink? You idiot.”
“What about other universes? Do you think we’re still friends in another universe…?”
Yoongi groans dramatically.
“Do you remember the plan?” Jungkook nods in response.
“Remember it's you and Tae that have to do most of the work. Me and Hobi will make the first call, after that when the alarm goes off you and Tae can go into the vault and get the money out. Then you both can transfer the bags to the girls. Got it?”
Jungkook hums in agreement, leaning his head on Yoongi.
“Don’t forget whatever I said ok?”
.
In the backseat of another car, Manon sat next to Lara and took out a box of cigarettes and a lighter. Manon looks over at Lara who’s on her phone, scrolling through a playlist of songs. Lara has a great music taste, all the songs she plays on the car are soothing Manon. The blur of city lights against the dark sky with the cool breeze brushing through her hair feels surreal.
“You want one?” She asked, gesturing to the box in her hand. Lara takes one in her hand and Manon follows. The older girl closes the box and flicks the lighter, bringing her closer to the flame.
Before she pulls back Lara moves in close to her, bringing the stump in her mouth near the flame, and rests her hand on Manon’s neck making sure she doesn’t move, their foreheads nearly touching. The action sends a shiver down her spine and when they pull back Lara stares at her with hooded eyes, teasingly.
The song changes into something more familiar, giving Manon goosebumps when Lara spoke up, “What do you think of this song?” Manon thought for a moment slightly distracted by the way Lara was looking at her.
“It’s one of my favourite songs, It reminds me of you,”
Before Manon could say another word, she was silenced by Lara’s soft lips crashing onto hers. Her mind went blank and she leaned into it. Manon cups her face gently while Lara wraps her arms around her neck, pulling her closer. There was a faint taste of smoke and lipgloss against her mouth. Lara finds her way onto Manon’s lap, legs on either side of her waist, her hands tracing lines all over the older girl’s body driving her insane. Only for them to get interrupted by a phone call from Lara’s sister.
“I have to go home now, we’ll continue this another time alright?"

Chapter Text
The morning breeze is calm and refreshing, the kind that would help you relax on a weekend. But not today, especially when Jungkook and Taehyung snuck into Jin Young’s casino through the back door after knocking out the guards there and wearing their clothes. They dragged the unconscious bodies and tied them up before locking them into a supply closet.
Jungkook let out a sigh out of nervousness, “My heart is racing, this is scary.”
Taehyung patted his shoulder and reassured him, “We can do this, let’s go.”
Hoseok sat near the bar, his eyes scanned around the room before it landed on a brown-haired girl who was walking towards him. He stood up when he recognised her and immediately asked, “You remember the deal?” She nodded before taking her phone and dialling a number.
“Boss, there’s an emergency at the casino. We’ve received a bomb threat. Chan and Changbin are missing too; this seems legit.” She paused before ending the call.
She looked up at Hoseok, who handed her the cash “Thanks, Sana”. He waved at her before walking to the security room, where Yoongi and Namjoon were. They had kicked out the worker there before Namjoon sat down and observed all the cameras with Yoongi and Hoseok.
Everyone was already running out of the casino in the face of a bomb threat. The sounds of people screaming didn’t seem to bother Jin, though, as he walked with quick steps to the outside of the building, where he was met by Jimin, who handed him the security codes. Jin took his phone and alerted Yoongi before they moved on to the next step.
Jin Young strutted fiercely into his casino, alarmed by the warning he had received. He gathered all his workers, mostly men who wore all black and whose faces were covered by a mask. He sent two of them to get the money out of the vault, while the remaining would search the whole place for anything suspicious.
The two men who were sent to the vault were none other than Jungkook and Taehyung. They scanned the card, which allowed them to bypass the laser system and get to the vault. Jungkook entered the code that Jimin had mentioned, and they got into the vault.
They stepped inside the cold room before alerting Yoongi about their positions. They leaned down and picked up the bags, slightly struggling. “Damn, there better be a whole ton of money in here if it’s that heavy,” Jungkook grunted.
“Let’s get out of here before they notice,” Taehyung said as they walked out of the safe and in front of Jin Young. The man wore a 3-piece navy suit, and his hair seemed messy. “Get the bags into the car”, he ordered.
Jungkook and Taehyung placed the bags into the familiar car and sat down as fast as they could. Jin Young looked at them through the window as the men removed their masks, and he realised that those were not his workers.
“They're stealing my money, Fuck!” He yelled out before ordering his workers to chase them down. Jungkook and Taehyung, at the back of the car, cheered and laughed as Manon pressed down harder on the accelerator.
Jin Young’s workers and he were right behind them, chasing them down the streets of Seoul. They tried to keep as fast as they could, but the gap between them only got wider. Manon’s car took a sharp turn, and the other followed right behind.
Jin Young got confused but also glad as they were slowly catching up to the car; it seemed to slow down before it stopped near an empty warehouse. Jin Young and his workers stepped out with their guns pointed at the vehicle. They slowly opened the door to see nobody there, but a time bomb with 3 seconds left. They panicked, and before they could run far, the bomb detonated.
.
All of Namjoon’s men arrived at the club, and they changed out of their work clothes into something more fit to be partying. The club was packed tonight. There was no reason why, but Namjoon and his brothers were here to celebrate their successful mission. Namjoon and his boyfriend, Seokjin, were the first to arrive. They sat in their private room and waited for the rest to arrive. Yoongi and Jungkook showed up together, the younger one dragging Yoongi to the dance floor. They were met by Manon, who instantly greeted her bosses.
“Yoongi-hyung wasn’t lying, your driving skills really are amazing. That sharp turn into the other road, so that they would chase the fake car, insane.” Jungkook praised the girl who bowed shyly.
“Hmm, Manon, where’s your girlfriend?” Yoongi inquired. The curly-haired girl’s face went red before she spoke.
“Uh, we’re just friends, and she should be here by now.”
“You two aren’t dating? But I think it’s pretty obvious that you like her,” Jungkook teased.
“Well, it’s complicated,” Manon stuttered before her eyes landed on Lara. Yoongi and Jungkook chuckled at how quickly they ran towards each other. The girls wrapped their arms around each other, and the look in their eyes seemed genuine, at least that’s what Yoongi thought.
“They seem to really like each other, don’t you think?” Jungkook asked.
“I should probably talk to Manon more,”
“You should, she looks up to you like an older brother.” Jungkook placed his hand on his hyung’s shoulder and looked at his face, like he was analysing it.
After the crowd became quieter and the night was growing old. Yoongi and Jungkook wanted to leave; the party exhausted the introverts. They stepped out of the building and headed to the car. Yoongi didn’t quite start the vehicle yet; they just sat in the silence the night offered. The car was warmer than the temperature outside, or it’s just his mind getting fuzzy.
Jungkook took his hand and ruffled through Yoongi’s black mullet, and he leaned into it.
“Hyung, I love you.”
“I love you too.”
“Will you do me a favour?”
“Yeah?”
“Kiss me.”
Yoongi didn’t think twice before pressing his lips onto Jungkook’s.

Chapter Text
The door shut with a click, and Lara jumped immediately, catching Manon’s lips in a fierce kiss. Their hands were all over each other, creating a sense of rhythm to their rushed desire. Lara's hands confidently sink deep into Manon’s curls while the latter gently grips onto her waist, slightly pushing her back to the door. Lara bites down on her lip, teasing just enough to make her dizzy.
They pull back to look at each other, their flushed faces parallel, before Lara grabs Manon’s hand to drag her to the bedroom. Manon turned around to look at the dark interior of Lara's apartment and said, "You decorated the place well."
"Is that what you're looking at?" Lara breathed.
"Sorry, I got a little distracted."
Lara grabbed the older girl by her neck, pulling her closer to kiss her once more before pressing their foreheads together and whispering, "Can't have you losing focus, baby."
She pushed Manon until her legs hit the bed, and she sat down to look up at Lara.
"Then let me take care of you tonight," Manon said, looking up at Lara with those deer-like eyes full of temptation. She pressed her face close to Lara’s waist and was testing how long she would last.
Lara didn't seem to respond in words; instead, she just pushed Manon onto the bed and crawled on top of her, straddling her lap. Manon was met with Lara's piercing and unfaltering gaze that made her shiver. Lara leaned back down to kiss her, more intensely this time, especially with Lara's hands caressing Manon’s abs under her shirt. "Your abs are really good," she mumbled, and Manon just jerked her hips up in response. Manon’s quick hands seemed to tug at Lara's shirt, causing her to pull back and look at the girl below her in that teasing way. "Can I take this off?" She asked with pleading eyes, making Lara smirk and nod quickly.
She quickly tossed the top over her head and admired Lara's exposed curves. Her hands rested on the side of her waist before Lara gripped her wrist and pressed Manon’s palm onto her bare stomach, like an invitation.
Manon’s grip on her tightened, and she quickly swapped their positions, pinning Lara onto the bed. She left a trail of open-mouthed kisses from her neck to her shoulders, with small bites in between that made Lara gasp.
Lara slid her hands under Manon’s shirt once more, urging her to take it off. Manon sat up and obeyed, taking the shirt off in one smooth motion. Lara admired the view in front of her. Manon’s body was toned and muscular. One thing that caught her eye was that she even had a tattoo under her rib.
She brushed her thumb on the wording there that read, ‘Femme fatale’.
“Like the tattoo?” Manon asked.
“I have a similar one, did you not notice?” She said, pointing to the one she had on her rib. Manon’s eyes widened in curiosity, and her mouth immediately latched onto it. Her tongue worked carefully, as if she were tracing each letter of the tattoo on Lara's rib.
Lara gripped onto Manon’s hair, while her other hand scratched her back, leaving bright red marks. Lara let out a choked gasp when Manon’s hand traced the line of her bra.
She reached behind to take off her bra before she took off Manon’s bra as well. One more thing she just learnt about Manon- she has her nipples pierced. “What the hell… you're so hot,” Lara gasped while teasing Manon. The older girl rolled her head back to the feeling of Lara's hands on her. “Lara- god-”
Manon quickly moves downwards, kissing and licking Lara’s abs and waist before she stops at her pants. She teases the younger girl by playing with the button, sliding her fingers carefully against it.
“Please…” Lara pleaded, looking into Manon’s eyes with that usual sense of danger, the kind that makes Manon want to just give in to her. But tonight, she wanted to take things slow and make Lara ask for it nicely.
She moved closer, putting her face right next to the zip of the pants, opening it with her teeth as she kept her eyes right on Lara. Her hands found their hold onto Manon’s hair once more and pressed her head down to where she needed it the most.
Manon’s head is tilted up with the force of Lara’s arm. She’s looking right at her, and goddamn it, she’s losing her mind. Lara's eyes are filled with lust, looking like she wants to just eat her up or out. The younger girl cups Manon’s face and brings her dazzled nail near her mouth to tug at her bottom lip. A bit of her teeth is showing now, just before Manon completely sticks her tongue out to get a taste of Lara. She sucks on the digit without breaking eye contact, hoping that whatever Lara is doing to her, she feels the same back.
Manon removed the last piece of fabric before delicately working on Lara clit. The sudden feel of her tongue made Lara arch her back and dig her fingers harder into Manon’s curls. The dim light peaking through the window of Lara’s bedroom makes the scene more calming, far from whatever she was feeling at the moment. Especially when Manon’s eyes always found their way back to hers, with that look of mischief.
Manon, on the other hand, is trying so hard not to just die from the feel of Lara’s hands through her hair and the noises she’s making. Now and then, Lara praises the girl, saying things like, “You’re doing so well,” or even “Good girl,” which makes Manon want to die in her. With a final lick of her tongue, Lara hits her climax, making a high-pitched noise that almost shocks Manon.
She lies down next to the girl and admires her in the state she’s in. Her hair is so messy, but it’s framed perfectly, at least that’s what she can see through the moonlight.
Chapter Text
Yoongi and Jungkook pulled back from the haze and looked at each other’s dizzy expressions before Yoongi looked away and turned his attention to the wheel. He spoke softly, “I’ll drop you off at home?”
“I can’t sleep well at home. Can you come with me?” The younger man pleaded.
“Fine,” Yoongi said, though he really wanted to visit his house. He started the car and turned it around on the road. The city was quite empty at this time of night, and it was cold too, especially with the windows down and the autumn breeze flowing through their hair. Jungkook stared out the window and gazed at the moon, which was framed by the clouds.
Through the side mirror, he could see a single car behind him. That’s odd. He stared at the front of it first, then looked at the license plate, before he realised that it was a familiar car he had seen at the club.
“Hyung,” he said, alarmed. “I think a car’s tailing us down. Make a quick turn.”
Yoongi listened and turned around a building before looking back to see the car still there. Just to be sure, he made three more turns so that they went a full circle around the town and to his annoyance, the car was still behind.
“Kookie, take the gun from the glove box and aim it at them,” Yoongi ordered, and Jungkook did as he was told.
He took the pistol and first poked his head out the window to see a man wearing a hat pointing a gun right back at him through the passenger window. He pulled his head back fast enough to dodge the flying bullet that flicked the mirror. “Fuck”, he hissed before sticking his arm out to shoot the man right in the head. “Whoa, lucky shot”
He spoke too soon as another bullet shot through the back seat window, breaking the glass and displacing the shards all over the car. “Open the sunroof and get them!” Yoongi yelled, pressing the button to open the sunroof.
Jungkook manoeuvred his head through and quickly aimed at the driver of the car and shot two bullets. The man in the car dodged the two but drove the car haphazardly, almost crashing into a building. Another man climbed into the passenger seat and aimed at Jungkook.
He acted quickly, ducked down back into the car, escaping from however many bullets that came his way. He nodded to Yoongi to reassure him that he was fine before he stood up again and shot back at the car. To his surprise, he hit them both, but the driver was still conscious. Jungkook felt dizzy and weak for a second; his muscles were cramping up, and he felt like he was about to pass out. Focus, he told himself before he shot one last bullet into the man’s head. He was relieved, but that didn’t last long. The empty car was still chasing behind them without any sense of direction or control. He aimed for the wheels of the car, but before he could see if it landed, Yoongi took a sharp turn.
Jungkook returned to the car and slumped against the seat, exhaling violently. His arm hurts for some reason, and everything is blurry. “Jungkook, you okay!?” he heard Yoongi say. “Jungkook!” he yelled. It's pissing him off.
“Your arm-” He looked at his palm, which he placed on the wound. It’s red. His right is bleeding. The second, Yoongi’s hand presses his deltoid, and he screams. Yoongi flinches but remains to apply pressure on the wound.
.
Manon sat in her room, headphones plugged in, playing her favourite songs. She stared at the punching bag in the room and then at her bruised knuckles; her boss hadn’t given her any work for today. She wonders why. She wondered what Yoongi hyung was doing at the moment. She wondered how he trained in fighting when he was her age.
But all the thoughts disappeared when she heard an unfamiliar song playing. The voice was Rajberry, definitely, but the song, she had never heard of it. She tried to understand what all the lyrics were, each beat and adlib behind the notes and who the artist was singing about, if it was about somebody. Their music really is addictive, it’s like my paradise, Manon thought. She left another comment on the app.
.
Lara picked up the phone. It’s been a day since she posted that new song. Of course, no one knows it’s her behind the screen; she’s a faceless artist, and her stage name is fake. Another comment from ‘Peanutbutterlover02’, she smirks at the name: it’s endearing. Whoever that user is knows the right words to say to Lara. She’s curious and looks for the same account on Instagram.
Her face lights up when she sees the profile picture; it’s none other than the biker girl she wrote a song about.
.
Jungkook slowly opens his eyes and takes in the dark surroundings of his bedroom, this is his house. He looks around the room but no one’s there yet. He can’t move at the moment his body feels like its attached to the bed. The door opens and Yoongi walks in and rushes to Jungkook, caressing his hair gently.
“How do you feel now?” He asked.
“It’s alright I can’t feel anything,” Jungkook replied and Yoongi nodded. He shifted the younger man onto his stomach so he could remove the old bandage.
“Did Jin-hyung put the bandages?”
“Yeah,” Yoongi answered while he gently removed the dressing, he then cleaned the wound, Jungkook felt the pain getting more evident now, the medicine was wearing off. He squirmed on the bed but Yoongi helped him through it showering him with reassuring words and caresses. It’s calming but it’s something Jungkook never expected to do, it is his first time getting shot though. It was ironic how Yoongi’s hands give Jungkook goosebumps but in this case, it’s also somewhat comforting and calming.
