Summary:

just some story ideas/outlines that I wanted to share, as I have a doubt whether to actually write it

Notes:

This is an alternate universe, where Chat Blanc has happened prior to events of Sandboy. Also keep in mind that the points may not exactly be in order, I wrote it at random.

(I just freaking realized a lot of people had the idea already and there's a lot of fics like this but I wanna write so why not let's see how it goes)

Chapter Text

Idea #1 (AU where Chat Blanc happened prior to Sandboy)

Using Sandboy, create Marinette’s nightmare manifested by said akuma to be Chat Blanc, instead of what happened in canon. This way, Chat Blanc has a chance to become ‘real’ and physical in a sense that has only been in her nightmares.

 

  • Possibly cause panic attacks?
  • Flashbacks from previous nightmares
  • Death
  • Destruction
  • Yet to decide whether I want ‘Sandboy Chat Blanc’ to cause any real collateral damage to Paris
  • Confrontation with Present Chat Noir
  • Confusion
  • A little off coordination in their attacks
  • Background nightmares or unnecessary?
  • Adrien having his nightmare will also play a relatively vital part but not as major as Chat Blanc
  • Perhaps add in a little deja-vu in between Ladybug and Chat Blanc’s face-off?
  • Interesting dilemma that considers CB knows Marinette is Ladybug… could b used for reveal.
  • Brushed off during akuma attack circumstances despite initial shock and uncomprehending
  • Later discussion b/w CN and LB about CB, it takes a little convincing (and calming the heck down) after the scare, but eventually LB confesses her ordeal with Bunnyx, that timeline and stuff.
  • So… yeah. Angst, definitely. Hurt/Comfort, and let’s make it Angst with a Happy Ending.
  • Partial Reveal halfway, and afterwards, complete reveal.
  • Ofc Adrien being conflicted due to CB and then Mari just… and then suddenly Adrien decides to, you know, reveal. Not the best reveal, but will include a few fluffy scenes to make up for it.
  • Might not be possible to tie things up with a perfect bow, so make sure to balance things with each draft. Don’t attempt to perfect things with first draft.

Idea #2 (Post Strike-Back events)

So… basically taking advantage of post-event angst, Mari being riddled with guilt, eating her up everyday because of all the Miraculouses being lost. She feels like she failed Paris, and is afraid of public opinion.

  • People whisper about their ‘failure’ and scattered doubt on ‘who will really save Paris’ kinda thing.
  • This extends to classmates.
  • Marinette and Adrien will naturally have a hard time attending school because of this.
  • I want to use an akuma… concept similar to The Spiral in TMA, which basically has spirals/fractals/or rather simply just winding corridors and several similar doors in a hallway and around to confuse the victim.
  • What kind of backstory will the akuma have to create this kind of premise?
  • Say… the child was in a maze (with doors, whatever symbols come up in the Spiral, not all is needed), perhaps in a gaming/arcade area, but since she was confident she could find the exit, did not go with an adult. This cost her, as she was wandering for quite some time, and gradually getting paranoid/frightened/scared. The akuma senses this and flies to the child, thus getting akumatized, and ‘trapping hapless people in their endless maze’ which is what she felt like the maze was to her. There may have been a possible panic button to alert the staff so they could give her an easy exit, however let’s say this child had a superiority-inferiority complex, kind of like Bakugou in MHA. Therefore, despite the child getting scared, it took a while to get there, and they refused help and was stubborn. That’s the main reason why.
  • The child is a female. Her name is Lorence. Her akuma name is Paranoic Horror, considering that was the emotion that she felt the most, trying to find the exit.
  • Now, this akuma alert sounds, and obviously, Ladybug and Chat Noir come. Now… let’s say the maze was a horror genre kinda thing. Wherever you go, a type of phobia/fear was there. Lorence loved horror, but she didn’t know how hard it would be to get out. The only way to get out of the maze was to find hollow corners or dead-ends that lead to another room that does not contain phobias/fears. It is not easy to find, even if there are quite a few for people to discover. In one of them, Lorence found one of her fears, and scared the life out of her. She was in shock, frozen, and before she could scream and press the button the akuma came.
  • So, this is why, a personalized/customized version of the maze akuma makes it cater to the specific victim’s fears. It is like playing a horror game singleplayer mode. This is why despite how many victims may be drawn into this akuma, they are alone, thus stirring up the emotions of Paranoia, similar ones.
  • So what happens when… Ladybug accidentally gets caught in the crossfire, ends up going through a door and finds… a room beyond her nightmares. All her friends/family abandoning her because of her failures, and she is left alone. Not even Chat Noir is there. Who can save her this time? It’s left to CN to figure out how to get Ladybug out. LB knows there is a door beyond, but staggers to find more of her fears. She has to find the while light between dark spaces, which may lead to the exit.
  • A loophole of this akuma is that is possible for others outside the akuma to try and break the illusion for people inside. Do the opposite of whatever happens inside. The kicker is that they don’t really know what’s happening, they have to guess. This might represent the panic button.
  • CN tries to guess at LB’s fears, and realizes it might just be losing the miraculouses and the consequences. Then reaches out to LB and begins breaking the illusions as much as he can. He begs her to reveal who are the people, and then manages to partially break the illusion. Then, he has a realization and as a result is able to help LB more and finally out. They defeat the akuma eventually, finding a blindspot in the outside person and doing it.
  • Chat confronts LB about his realization and she breaks down and tells him. Then… well, CN also reveals and eventually all is well.
  • I have doubts about this because is it too complicated and using the same premise as Idea #1?
