Chapter 1: Dark clouds above us

Chapter Text

When Oboro died, Aizawa didn't know what to feel after that drastic moment, which changed his entire life.

.... Sadness?

....... Soreness?

........ Or maybe distress???

Or some form of unknown internal sensation that something definitely isn't alright, that something isn't as it should be, even though everything should be absolutely fine because he is a hero and he can save everyone.

At least, that was what Aizawa always told to himself at all times.

And it was true... right???

H-He can save everyone when he gives it all. Gave his ultimate maximum in the form of glorious and famous plus ultra!

That's just how life should be.

Relaxing and joyful. Every day filled with happy adventures, which every time end with happy endings, because he is a hero who saves it all.

R-Right?

Wrong.

At the end, it wasn't either of those feelings. And he also found out that life really isn't a peaceful walk in a beautiful park.

But what hurt the most was a complete understanding that he was not really a true hero. Even though he might not have even finished the U.A. Hero High School in a hero course, he knew that he had no right to continue.

And what gives him even that right?

For allowing a giant building to get his best friend killed???

No.

Absolutely not.

Definitely not heroic.

And definitely not what he can just by a snap of his fingers bring back.

This wasn't a happy fairy tale after all. And it never will be...

"S-Sho?"

The sudden gentle sound of his name was heard in the background of the room, which forced him to come out of his thinking trance to turn his head to the person that called out.

His best friend and the love of his life, with whom he had been together in love for a few months already, stood there in a middle of the wooden door frame wearing an elegant black suit, with a white shirt with buttons peeking out from underneath. Around his neck was also an adjusted black tie, which added to a complete look for a formal meeting.

Under different circumstances, Shouta would say that his man in front of him looked definitely majestic and breathtaking, but right now, in a situation where he was wearing a black suit too for an event he was not prepared for even in his worst nightmares, it definitely didn't feel alright. And if his lover's posture was any indication of how he felt at that moment... he knew it was mutual.

Hizashi's eyes looked tired and without a sparkle, which usually stayed there almost all the time. His whole body was surrounded by a mistic steam that could not be seen by a normal basic eye, but could be felt a hundred meters away. The result of a mix of fatigue, misery and mostly desperation.

The aura that occupied Shouta himself.

He knew at that moment that he should answer Hizashi with at least something, but he couldn't find it in himself. He was more exhausted than ever, and even a "Hi" felt like carrying stones over the mountains with hidden traps on a road.

In the end, how reliable and caring his boyfriend always was, he stepped into the room after him and closed the door with a lock. He took him by his arms from behind and gave him a tight hug.

"It will be okay." Hizashi whispered in his left ear when he rested his head on his shoulder.

But will it be?

Did he have the energy to continue? To continue in this world, which was perfectly made by a society?

Heroes and villains.

What was even a difference? Where was that line where if you just crossed it, you would turn to the lighter side? Or more likeable, to the darker?

Shouta wasn't after Oboro Shirakumo's death 100% himself. He knew it, but these thoughts kept flying around his head. He wasn't able to not think about them. It was just a question of time, because he was starting to change...

------://////////:------

When they arrived at the cemetery, the dread in Shouta's stomach was even more excruciating. It was raining that day. The day he would bury one of his best friends.

It was kind of ridiculous that at Oboro's burial day there were dark clouds with a lot of rain to pour on Aizawa's black head. To show how useless his actions to prevent this day from coming truly were.

He was aware he deserved it. He was the reason why this was all happening at the end.

But if he could do just a little more before, maybe...

"R-Ready?" said once again the voice of his lover who brought him back to himself. Even though this time the voice was more raspy and sounded as if thorns were preventing the words from being spoken aloud.

Hizashi held the handle of the blue umbrella higher than usual, so he could cover both of them to prevent them getting more wet. He really appreciated the gestures of his boyfriend. He really did. But the question to which he asked, he could give nothing but a pitiful answer.

"Ready to accept that life is going on, or ready to accept that life will never be the same again and that it will change?"

After he said these words out loud, straight to Hizashi's dull green eyes, he already knew he wouldn't hear an answer because they knew each other really well.

They just continued in a direction where the people who were close to the Oboro were supposed to meet and wished them a typical sincere farewell. The Oboro's side of the family didn't look at Shouta the most nicely but still accepted the shake of his hand. Even if it was mostly for Shirakumo's calm rest that the family respected his friends.

The whole process was never-ending and overloaded for both of them, but what hurt them most was the awareness that when the coffin was placed in the ground there would be no body to bury at all. It was never found under that hoard of rubble and ruins of building. Only a lot of blood with the confirmation of the Oboro's DNA.

The speculation that the rocks deformed it to the degree that they were unable to receive even a whole arm was a possibility. And Aizawa believed it. He saw the puddle of scarlet blood himself.

When the funeral ended, the only ones who stayed at the grave in the end were Shouta and Hizashi. After a while, even Hazashi left and told Shouta he would wait for him at the gate of the burial ground. He didn't even keep the umbrella with him that Hizashi offered, he just stayed in front of the grave and was even glad that it was raining that day. If tears streaming down his face had a words to say to that.

He lasted there maybe for twenty more minutes, until he finally said his words, which had been drowning him from the inside for a very long time.

"I'm s-sorry..."

Two simple words. Yet hard to say.

Two simple words. Yet they were transferring the whole meaning of Aizawa Shouta's life.

Two simple words... which will never be heard by the second side again.

The Oboro Shirakumo's side.

The human who should be here, but isn't. Who should be here instead of Shouta, but isn't.

The world is a joke... A very cruel place. And it seems Shouta Aizawa isn't able to change it. A hero can't change it.

So who ca–

If the suffering scream that suddenly rang throughout the entire empty cemetery wasn't heard by a neighboring countries, Shouta didn't know who could. With the last tiny bit of a hero instinct left in him, he decided to start to run to the unknown source. He almost tripped on the sliperry ground twice when he was trying to get closer and closer to the loud commotion.

He expected maybe some quarrel between families or maybe some late cry of pain from a loss, but what he definitely didn't expect was his loving boyfriend sitting on some man's chest and constantly punching him in the face with a rage on his face that could kill by a mere sight.

Some other random guy next to them was trying to stop them, but from a Shouta's view, he wasn't very successful. He stood there for maybe another whole minute from shock, until he decided to finally do something to shut it down.

He hooked his arms under Hizashi's and pulled him quickly away. It took more of his core strenght than he expected, as Hizashi's thrashing didn't slow down, even though he alredy held him tightly in his arms. His boyfriend should at least recognise that his second half is by his side, but it continued without a success.

Aizawa couldn't not notice the painful words that still came out of his lover's mouth as he was trying to get him away, but he had to stop him first and get some good fucking reason why he was even attacking someone from nowhere.

"Hizashi, stop it!"

"No! Let me go! I must do this!"

"Hizashi, no!"

"If you don't let me go, I'll scream until your ears are dripping with waterfalls of blood!"

"Hizashi, it's me! Aizawa Shouta, it's ME!"

And that was the moment Hizashi finally stopped to thrash with himself and ended his tantrum screaming. He turned to him fast and fearfully stepped away. Startled, when he looked at Shouta as some unknown person. Like at somebody, who just flew from a Mars and came from another realm.

Hizashi then decided to look at his hands, which were dirty with the blood of the person who had been hit hard by his unforgivable fists and which also slowly started to shake.

That said hurted man started to hastily stand up and gave Shouta the look, which sent madly shivers by his spine. There was something about this guy which sent chills even to him and that was a lot to say.

Before he could say something or grab Hizashi by the trembling hands and calm him down, the guy covered now in his own blood overtook the shouting position and started screaming.

"Who do you think you are brat, that you can just punch a pro-hero in the face!"

Well, and that was definitely a problem if some teenager still without a hero license started to knock the shit out of an authorized hero. But Shouta as always began to think rationally, and made several plans in advance to get them out of this awful situation.

"I am really sorry for my friend that he did this to you. I don't know the reasoning for his action, but I believe he has a reasonable reason why he acted so suddenly, even though it absolutely doesn't excuse him from his actions. But firstly, I think it would be better if we could discuss this with you at a different place, as right now we are still at cemetery and–"

"I don't care about anything you say, kid! You two will nicely go to jail with me, as you attacked a hero. Me! A pro-hero Shell-maker! And I didn't even mention a quirk usage your friend used! How dare you, you absolute pieces of shits!"

Great. Of all the pro-heroes Hizashi had to attack, it had to be this asshole.

Aizawa didn't even know who this Shell-maker was, but the hero seemed confident in himself, so there was a big possibility there were threads by a rich family or agency behind him. He needed to act quickly and think of some solution to this situation, as he didn't want at one of the worst days of his life to end up in a jail too.

As if Hizashi started to read his mind, he started to slowly formulate his words through a quiet whispers, which itself was unusual for a loud hero in training.

"It's him... H-He is the r-reason, he..." Hizashi's breathing was unsteady. And Aizawa at that moment decided that he had to calm him down first, before it could turn into an undesirable panic attack.

He himself knew how horrible panic attacks could feel.

"Hizashi, breathe. I'm here. Inhale. Exhale. Right, that's good. And again. Inhale. Exhale."

This continued for some time. Shouta helped through a warm touch of their hands to match their shaky breathings and didn't take his eyes off the other, as if the outside world never even mattered.

The progression was after some time quiet visible in Hizashi's posture when he started to calm down, but because of the pained pro-hero's ego that didn't last another minute without public attention, it had to recall a fame for himself.

"Did you hear what I said? Stop pretending you are suddenly some hurt boy! You are nicely going with me to the police!"

And at that moment, even Aizawa started to lose his patience and wanted to tell a hero to just shut up for a second, but his beloved preceed him in action and started to defend himself with words, Aizawa so early won't be able to forget.

"No! You are the one who should go in a jail! You are the r-reason... T-The reason... The reason Shirakumo Oboro died!"

And the world suddenly stopped.

Everything was slower, as if time decided to take a break.

Only the hollow echo of words that alternated between Hizashi and the hero were heard by Aizawa's ears.

Pro-Hero...

Who was someone the reason for the Oboro's death.

Did he really hear that right? He still couldn't get away from this sudden static of the sound barrier and paralysis of his body to be capable to do even a tiny movement, so how could he be sure?

But it didn't take longer than five minutes for a tenacious hero to convince him otherwise.

"If you are talking about that cloud brat who decided to try to save the life of a villain, who wouldn't say that doesn't make him a villain too? I just decided on the best course of action in that situation!"

Villain?

He dares to call Oboro a villain? The piece of shit who doesn't even know the right protocol when someone in distress starts to attack a hero? He calls Oboro a villain, a boy who if it wasn't for him, Aizawa wouldn't be alive? How dare he say even his name aloud???

"Don't you ever talk about Oboro like that ever again, or I assure you, you won't be able to see the light of the next day."

His rage now boiled through his words, and he knew he wasn't able to stop them. Hizashi and even the pro-hero froze like stone statues when they saw his red, furry eyes and hair standing in the air. With the look of a monster that was surely radiating from him, he must be seen as a demon summoned from the depths of the most terrifying hell.

The second guy in the back froze as well when he saw the ultimate state of Shouta. But he must have had a little more courage than the hero because of the large distance between them, as he decided to slowly unpack his phone from a pocket of jeans and started to dial random numbers into it.

Probably to call for help, but at that moment, Aizawa absolutely didn't care.

He just saw a pro-hero as his next victim. No more able to scare Shouta with his adult, angry eyes.

No, quite the opposite...

The sides changed now.

"Did you understand what I said?"

He thought when he saw in what terrified state the pro-hero was that he would just start to run and finally get away from both of them, but ohh, Shouta forgot how stupid the pro-hero was.

"D-Don't you dare to talk to me l-like that, you monst... you brat! He caused it to himself! Y-You are nothing to me, and you should be rather grateful that I didn't kill that other brat then and ther—"

It didn't even take a second, and Shouta was flying towards the guy with a hard fist as well. He couldn't control himself. He just couldn’t. He needed to kill... to knock him to the ground so he wouldn't be able to walk on his feet the next day.

"I will show you an understanding!" He said angrily, no longer able to have that monster inside him on a leash.

From the background noise, he was very aware that he could hear Hizashi's stressed-out cries for him to calm down and step away.

But it doesn't matter. He has someone to put in the right place.

"Y-You won't be able to get through this!" said the pro-hero suddenly, who was miserably trying to use his quirk against Shouta in the form of some red barrier for protection to prevent him from getting to him again.

Well, what a shame for a hero that his quirk is working just the right way for him to erase it away.

It only takes one look and "poof."

The barrier is gone and another hit for Shouta's jackpot.

Unfortunately, it didn't take long, and he got some good hits from a pro-hero on his body too. To the stomach and on one side of his face. But as usual, it didn't stop his movements, because he needed to show this man what he deserved.

Even though if in a milisecond, Aizawa haven't seen the pro-hero taking the knife from behind his back in a small glance, the cut on his cheek would be much deeper and more hurtful than it was just now. To his advantage though, he was more capable in physical training of his body than most of the people, so he was able to quickly dodge away from the weapon range.

The blood from his cheek was now slowly flowing down to the ground. It was fastly continuing to get dangerous. He realized it. But for some unintelligible reason, Shouta wasn't trying to back out, quite the opposite, he was getting more and more excited to provide a show.

While the professional hero was hurrying at Aizawa again with a knife, he dodged with a maneuver where he pulled the pro-hero's arm more quickly to the side and kicked him with his knee right to his ribs.

In horrendous pain, the hero dropped the knife and grabbed his chest by his hand, where it must have left a nice bruise. They managed to change sides with a cheesy dance-like spin, where now Aizawa took advantage of the wall on his side, which he bounced off with his foot and jumped directly onto the adult's shoulders. He used this to his advantage and began to choke him with his hands to keep him from getting any unnecessary air.

Shouta thought at that moment that he had won the fight, but it turned out that the hero could use his last brain cells better than before. He took Aizawa to the wall, more directly to the glass, and threw him backwards through the now broken window.

It didn't even take a second, and Aizawa was racing through a nightmare of memories.

In was the flashbacks where Oboro had throw him out of the building, before he could stop him. It felt like yesterday as he was falling through the air and approaching the ground. His sturdy and irreplaceable scarf that had helped him not hit the ground and get him to a higher place before was now nowhere to be found.

Instead, he found himself on a wooden floor. He was in some building that was most likely the House of Sorrow, where they had been just a few hours ago.

He knew that there were no drastic injuries on his body, but he still couldn't stand up. He felt as if something was holding him down and strangling him. He kept having this vision of Shirakumo's eyes as he pushed him out the window. That painful understanding in his eyes that on one side a sacrifice had to be made.

It hurt so much. He wanted to end it. He never wanted to see this again. He wanted to give up. But in all of that blurry vision of his nightmare, he heard the whisper of a quiet voice that brought him back through it all.

And it sounded so much like Oboro's voice.

Don't give up!!!

The nightmare gone and in front of him was just a pro-hero with a frown on his face and his hands on his neck.

And the understanding was complete.

The pro-hero apparently got in here through the window and started to strangle him because he was obviously mentally gone.

With the last of his oxygen and strength in his body, he kicked the pro-hero in the gut and threw him away. He used the pro-hero's confused reaction for himself and got a few good and deep breaths of air.

The room where they were now was only lit by a few candles, which made his vision worse. His eyes were already hurting from his use of the quirk, so he needed to end this really fast.

When the hero threw his body at him again, he rolled away and quickly got on his feet. He tried to kick the pro-hero in the head with his leg, which threw the pro-hero a little onto the candle stand that fell to the ground but still kept the pro-hero standing.

Damn it!

They spun in a circle, watching each other like predators, while the fallen candles began to spread fire and create black, dark smoke.

If the vision had been terrible before, it was disastrous now. But Shouta was not stupid. He could use this to his advantage, so he took more steps into the smoke to hide and to listen carefully to the angry screams of the adult.

It didn't take long before the hero's back was turned, and he was able to attack and get him on the hard ground. He tied his hands with a white cloth, which he found by an altar, and took the adult's hair in his left hand and pulled hard to get a yell from an adult hero.

He then got closer to his head, and with a monster voice he kept inside him, he roughly whispered to his ear.

"You are the villain who should be killed."

When he said that, he saw how a few drops of sweat ran down his stressed face. He didn't know, if it was from the heat that was increasing in the room, or from an intense fear, but his subconscious told him it was the latter.

Before he could do anything else though, the doors in the background threw themselves out, and the shouts of heroes and police were heard in the distance.

"Hands up and don't move!"

Aizawa could already see some resemblance of famous heroes, which immediately separated them and put them away from each other. But as lovely justice to Shouta was, it decided the main villain here is him, which was proved by anti-quirk handcuffs around his wrists, while the pro-hero who was hurt by him and Hizashi was smiling at the polices officer's faces and freely shaking their hands.

It didn't take long for Aizawa to let anger control him again.

"No! You must put him in handcuffs too! He definitely did something! Please, you must believe me! Try to review the death case of Oboro Shirakumo. He must have done something! He–"

"Shut up! You have no right to speak! You would be judged by an unreasonable attack on pro-hero Shell-maker together with your friend! Every further resistance you make will have a deeper consequence!" And like that, he was hardly pulled by the handcuffs in the direction of the outside of the house, where he could still see a smirk on a Shell-maker's face behind him.

He will do anything to get the whole truth out of him! He will not stop until he sees him in prison with himself behind the bars! He has already given up his career as a hero, for he wasn't capable of saving Oboro, but if he can't be a hero, he can't be too!

"I will take you down with me! You hear me! I will make sure you can't ruin another person's lif–" Before he could finish his hysterical drama, he felt an electric baton strike him directly in the stomach, knocking the breath out of him.

Right after, he was slammed face down into the trunk of the car and couldn't utter a single syllable. The only person he could see was standing behind him, shouting orders for him to follow. Then he was thrown into the back of a car seat and taken away from the crime scene.

------://////////:------

The half hour it took them to transfer him to the police station had given him a good return to the reality of what exactly had happened and had already made him wonder what would happen to him and Hizashi from now on.

As the police officer opened the car seat door again and took him out, he immediately started to search for his boyfriend. Aizawa needed to know if he was okay.

When he saw how the other police officer took Hizashi from another car, the relief flowed through him, and he was finally able to exhale most of his worries. But before he could form a word to the blonde man, he was instantly pulled to the inside of the police station and behind bars.

It took a few hours until he was reunited with Hizashi in a conference room for an interrogation. It would be better if they had a better place where they could together get their minds and hearts in the right place, but before they even knew where to start with what happened, the principal of their U.A. Hero High School entered the room and they had to shut up.

"I think we have a lot to talk about and that you young men have good evidence to explain what you got yourselves into." The present principal of U.A. Hero High School, Yagi Toshinori, or as the public knows him, one of the most popular hero, All Might. The principal, who Shouta doesn't have good experience with, mostly because he thinks that the glorious All Might isn't an appropriate candidate to lead a hero school and their students.

He knows he saved a lot of lives, but a good hero doesn't make from you a good principal.

"We want to open a case into the death of Shirakumo Oboro, as we think it wasn't just a coincidence, but that someone is behind it."

The principal's look didn't loosen even a little bit, as Shouta addressed directly his goals. Not to be surprised. He knew also that Shouta was honest at every hero lesson he had the honor to learn with All Might.

The principal at this just straightened up his posture, put his hands on a table where he leaned on them in a thinking position and started speaking again.

"And what exactly does this have to do with you two attacking a pro-hero out of nowhere?"

It was Hizashi now that decided to answer the All Might's question.

"W-When we were at Oboro's... at Oboro's funeral... I-I heard him speak about that incident with another person. I wouldn't care less, b-but when the pro-hero mentioned how he could save O-Oboro, but didn't. I wasn't able to control myself...

Aizawa's breath was harder after that sentence. He thought he'd get a bullet to the heart. But the bomb in the form of Hizashi's words was just slowly coming.

"...not even tried w-when I heard the reason of the collapse of that building was his idea."

If his heart would be able to explode just by pure rage, Shouta's would be damaged at least six times in a row. He clasped his hand on his chest and, with his eyes closed, tried to force himself to believe that no matter what happens, he still can't bring Oboro back to life. That he lost him. And that's the cruel reality.

But to know that there was another person that could but didn't do anything. And that the person even planned to collapse a building. He wished for his enemies to pray that he didn't find them, because he wouldn't give them an easy death.

When he finally opened his eyes, he forced himself to look at the principal's reaction to see what he thought about this, but this was from Shouta's side mistake too.

"You knew about this." Aizawa said without any stuttering in speech and with the most confidence he ever had.

"You knew exactly what happened."

If the lazy posture of All Might didn't tell it himself, then his eyes did.

All Might looked Shouta in the soul and directly answered the basic "Yes."

Hizashi and Aizawa immediately froze without a catch of life, but All Might apparently took it as a chance to start his story.

"I didn't want to get this on your shoulders. I knew you would be better without all the accurate details, as the death of a friend is a painful experience." He took a deep exhale, cracked a few bones in his hands, and continued as if he were talking about the sunny weather for the next day in Musutafu.

"The truth is that when you were there on your internship the Shell-maker, as the main boss, was in charge in there. Suddenly a villain broke into a building and started to steal the technology by using his quirk, which was stored there for protection. The Shell-maker just made a decision to rather destroy the center, than let information fall into the hands of criminals. But with that, the whole building collapsed. The Shell-maker directly told me that he had everything under control at that time, even an inter students."

All Might coughed a little after that into his hand, as if to better prepare his throat for a little more talk.

"When he found Oboro, he was under a big mouintain of rocks, which he held by his cloud. Under him was an injured villain, whom he refused to let go, even when he learned the truth. Shell-maker just couldn’t allow the villain to escape through the commotion while he would help your friend. He himself, the Shirakumo Oboro chose rather a death than let that villain die."

The silence that followed in the interrogation room after All Might's verbal monologue was unbearable.

Hizashi looked like he was going to faint at any moment from how pale his face looked, and Shouta was unusually quiet too.

Just only a tiny whisper was able to get away from his mouth.

"You killed him."

It wasn't a question. And All Might knew it.

If his posture wasn't pointing it out, then his open mouth to verbally defend himself definitely did.

However, the black-haired teenager wouldn't let him, as the volcano in his body reached its highest peak, allowing the eruption to cause him to slam his hands hard on the table and his scream to vibrate the entire room.

"You killed him! You let him die! Just because... Just because of the peace of technology! You can't be serious! Which hero in their right mind can decide it's best to let a building fall while there are people still inside!!??

Oh, the anger that was now flowing through Aizawa was hard to keep under control, even the handcuffs he was bound to were having a hard time.

"Calm down, young Aizawa, hero Shell-maker was doing just his job, there wasn't an option where he could help your friend. Oboro shonen chose his fate." said All Might while he still sat relaxed on the chair and waved for Shouta to sit down, but the raven boy didn't plan on doing anything more than what this hideous man commanded.

"His fate!? His fate!!! He was a hero who saved me when a building started to fall and no one told us that it would happen. He even tried to save another person who needed help! But when he needed it, you just turned your back on him! The only hero was him!"

At this, the principal finally showed some human reaction with a rage and stood up to show the young in front of him that it was going too far.

"Do you even listen to yourself! He tried to save a villain who was the cause of that. Not Shell-maker. If he let him be, he would be ali–"

"He tried to save his life! As a hero would do! Even if the human is a villain, or a hero or anyone. We are supposed to save them! That's our job! That was Shell-maker's job, which he didn't do right!"

Aizawa didn't care that he jumped in the middle of the speech of the principal when he was talking, even if he was God he wouldn't care. He needed to show him how stupid and irresponsible they were!

But at this, the water crossed the threshold, and All Might didn't alow any disrespect from the cheeky teen.

"That's enough. It's clear that you haven't grown up yet, and you don't see a clear reason for a pro-hero's action. If you and your friend don't apologize and ask for his forgiveness for what you did to him, you'll be facing more than just three months in a prison."

With that, All Might stood up and tried to leave.

Shouta tried to get after him, but the stupid handcuffs on his wrists didn't allow him.

However, it was another angry fist that was able to stop him.

It was a fist of Hizashi who, with a tears in his eyes, was trying to hurt a big hero who through his muscles didn't really feel it. But he tried again and again. Just for his friend. For Oboro. He couldn't give up.

Shouta, still tied to the table, was shocked how Hizashi got away. But when he saw a clip he wore in his hair on a table, it caught him right away.

While Shouta was arguing with the principal, Hazashi was trying to use it as a distraction to get away and hurt All Might himself.

But it was in vain. The principal's large hands grabbed Hizashi and threw him to the ground. He then called the security guards, who took them both back behind the bars.

This time they were in the cell together, but they didn't feel any better. It was actually even worse than before. They didn't even have words to say aloud. They just sat next to each other and let their thoughts fly in the clouds.

------://////////:------

It went on like this for three days, until they received an unexpected visitor.

An unexpected guest, as it turned out for the police too, because Hizashi nor Aizawa didn't expect anyone. Hizashi's family lived in America, and Aizawa only had his grandmother, who took care of him, but due to her illness, she couldn't get away far from home.

When the unknown guests come to their cell, Aizawa immediately stood up before Hizashi to be sure he could protect him at any time if necesarry. He couldn't lose anyone else.

The people now in a room noticed their sudden behavior and caution, so the one in the middle decided to start speaking quietly and slowly, like to a frightened animal.

"Don't worry, younglings. We are here to simply present you with a few options for your future. We aren't here to do any harm."

The little mouse, which was now closest to them with his two armed bodyguards behind, devilishly smirked at Shouta and caused him mixed and uneasy feelings in his stomach. There was something about this mouse in a suit with a tie that caused chills on Aizawa's back.

Is it even a mouse? It definitely looks like one.

"Who are you?" Shouta decided to ask, as he saw it as the safest path to get some information.

The mouse just blinked a few times at him and let out a deep sigh of understanding.

"Oh, I'm sorry about that. I should have introduced myself first. I am a leader and organizer of a new revolutionary group under the name of Alvis Taloons. The symbol of wisdom, knowledge, and also of death."

The mouse presented it as if it was the most famous rock star group in the world. Magnificent and high pride in his voice. But truthfully, Shouta was a little embarrassed that he had never heard about it before. Not even a word.

"Sorry, but the name doesn't ring a bell."

The little cheeky animal in front of him just smiled more creepily and cheerfully clasped his paws.

"Well, of course you didn't heard about it yet. We're a simple organization that's starting to build their name. Our goal is to finally establish a deserved justice and peace in a world with any means necessary.

Well, that isn't scary at all...

Even Hizashi didn't seem to be really convinced by the little creature, and Shouta knew he was the best at reading people by their facial expressions.

"What does that have to do with us?" asked this time uncertainly Hizashi, and the animal cheerfully answered this too.

"Well, as I was saying at first, I am giving you options to choose for your future. First opinion. You can go with me and become my subordinates like these two humans behind me. We would together try to change the system of society, which I am aware you experienced its consequences a few days ago too..."

This little shocked them, but they stayed calm to hear what else the mouse had to say to them.

"...or you can stay here and pretend you never saw me before and wait three months until you apologize to a form of a devil, which called himself Hero in front of you."

And if that wasn't a dagger to their chest, then they don't know what it was.

They observed the animal and the two people behind, just to find some lie or betrayal.

When both of them looked closer at the bodyguards, they saw how their outfits symbolized the owl. One had feathers in their head, while the second one had claws on his fingers. They both looked predatory with a hunger in their eyes. It was a dark spark of revenge, and it was certainly also a desire for a change.

They didn't even realize it, and they somehow saw themself in this figures.

"I'm sorry to interrupt your internal deliberations, but we only have a few minutes left before the cameras will turn back on and the police will find out about our unplanned visit. I'd like if you would give me your final answer." called the mouse again, but truth to be said, they still didn't know what to do.

It was scary. It was seething with danger. Just by how the little beast seemed to know everything about them. But how many possibilities did they had? The apology was out of the window. The career of a hero also.

They wanted a change, and this was it on a golden plate.

With a look of determination and by their nod of their head in a synchronized manner, they finally decided for the answer to be "Yes, we would like to go with you."

The mouse, or more now their leader, clapped his paws again and snickered under his whiskers.

"Very well then, welcome to the Alvis Taloons. The organization that changes fates. You are now new members of this group."

With that, the mouse and his comrades turned around and started to walk away from their cell. Aizawa and Hizashi with their held hands, were right behind their tails.

Aizawa didn't even realize at that moment that this day would change his fate so much.

That in the future, he would be one of the most popular villains in Japan, that he would be one of the captains of the Avil taloons, and that he would fight for justice, where if necessary, the heads would be cut by his blade, which gave him a dreaded and famous nickname: ERASERHEAD.

Chapter Text

"Is it going?"

"Yep, you should be live."

"Oh, yeah? Well then... Hello, hello listeners!"

"As always, I Mic Ripper am here for you to bring you the latest reported news and alerts from our trustworthy sources. But before, I hope your work is continuing very smoothly and that you are enjoying the very beautiful day!"

Yamada Hizashi, or under his secret nickname Mic Ripper, didn't even know how, and this has somehow become more of his daily hobby than an assigned job.

He of course lived and enjoyed every moment of it!

"Firstly, we will start with the last alert on Higishiki Street, where one of our Owlets spotted a few more heroes together with a suspicion they are preparing for some unknown big action, and..."

In a few years, he became a famous radio announcer for the spectacular and revolutionary Alvis Taloons, which is now the most feared organization in Japan that fights against the HPSC and U.A. as equals in strength.

"Next we have a few Deracticors who have a patrol in bigger numbers near a Chasingem square with the statue of..."

He did this almost every day and wouldn't change it for anything. His main job was to inform members of the organization for possible dangers so that there would be less damage and prevent lower numbers in their groups.

Not just anyone could get access to this station of course, as it is strictly classified, and several steps had to be taken before a member could be accepted. All of this was controlled by their leader Rat-God Nezu, who always ensured that everything was in good function.

"And at the end the police decided to get a new law, which certainly wasn't affected by our lovely Hero Public Safety Commission and U.A. Hero High School. No, no, absolutely not."

It was on a daily agenda for new rules and prohibitions to be added almost every week, but ordinary people were already used to it and didn't see it as any new surprises.

"Ha ha ha, who am I trying to deceive here! We already know how the society and the politics operate in this century. It's the reason why we are all here, right?"

The Alvis Taloons by a years got a big name, and more and more people because of injustice by heroes and high-placed people decided to become reliable members. It didn't take long, and they had secret hideouts in every big town.

"... and because of this, we are trying to fight with all our guts to win this war! Don't lose hope my little listeners! Because we can, and we will, change the fate of Japan for the better!"

------://////////:------

"Mhm... mhm.. "

The music in Hizashi's ears played at maximum volume as he slowly walked down the street towards his house, singing along to it under his breath.

He listened to it through his blue Bluetooth headphones with music from the 1980s that not many people enjoyed anymore, but Hizashi loved.

"This will be a good day, this will be a good day." he said melodically, while he was happily hopping on a road like a young child.

"This will be a good–"

A sudden vibration through his pocket interrupted his walk, as he felt it coming from his cell phone. It was his second phone, which he used only for his job as a loyal member of Alvis Taloons.

He looked at the messages and saw at the top a new message from a Rat-God Nedzu. A smirk came to his face immediately when he read it and found out his day was going to be even more exciting.

His walk suddenly turned into a run as he hurried to his house to now report a newly assigned mission. It didn't take long, and he was already looking for the keys and trying to unlock the door, but as always with his exciting behavior, he wasn't able to stick the key in a lock.

Who even thought of making them so small?

"Come on, come on..."

Hizashi swore that one more minute and he would kick the door to the ground, but thanks to the light that heaven had brought him, the door suddenly opened and an angel was waiting for him at the door.

"Oh, the love of my life, how did I miss you!" He instantly jumped to his husband's neck and hugged him tightly with happy tears of gratitude that he didn't have to fight with the lock anymore.

"What would I even do without you!" He then tried to pretend to wipe his deceptive tears, which was not dramatic at all for a tall, grown man.

His husband just deeply exhaled and with one word, welcomed him home.

"Hizashi."

Oh, how his husband managed to say his name with both the greatest irritation at his childish behavior and also with the greatest fondness of love was still a mystery to Hizashi, but that was precisely why he loved him so much.

When he pulled out from his neck, he saw a cup of very dark coffee in his husband's right hand. The dark circles under his eyes were also more visible than normal, and Hizashi wondered if his raven man was again overworking himself.

"I guess you have a lot of work?" he asked just for a confirmation, as he already knew an answer.

"Yeah. The Rat decided to get me more work than I already had, and it's exactly that type of work I can't even reject."

And by a can't reject it's a documents and papers that need to be filled out by authorized people for the smooth running of the organization. And one of the higher-ups is apparently his husband, Shouta Aizawa, as a Dominant of class S and the captain of the Alvis Taloons Association here in Musutafu.

His husband was a big figure in this world, but Hizashi wouldn't want to change it even for a hundred milion dollars. He didn't have the patience for it like Shouta did.

But he can't think about it right now!

He had to brag about his new jooob!!!

"Oh, and listen Sho, I received a work abo–"

"I am sorry Zashi, but I probably won't be able to go with you to the Cat Cafe we planned tonight."

Aaaand this sentence from his husband was a little bit disappointing, but you could tell that Hizashi was expecting it. Lately, HPSC had more patrols and put further pressure on both sides. It is in these cases where people need strong leaders to get through difficult times. And his Shouta was one of them.

So as a loving husband he was. He took Shouta's face in his hand and gave him a passionate kiss on the mouth. He needed to tell him, even by gestures, that he is always by his side.

"Don't worry about it, I am sure Nem and Hitoshi will keep me busy. You mainly focus on work, and in the evening when I get back, we can have a movie night!" He then deviously winked at him and slowly approached a bathroom. He will firstly need a good shower because of how he stank from a sweat caused by the hot weather outside.

His husband meanwhile just smirked at him with a little shake of his head from behind, and slowly went to his work office. Before he could get inside though, he could hear him say a words, which instantly stopped him in his track.

"We can open a brand of wine tonight if you want."

And after that closed a door with a click and left a silence with Hizashi in a hall.

No.

He's taking it back.

His husband wasn't an angel.

His husband was a devil for getting this stunt on him, as it means when they would drink the wine in the evening, the situation would be more heated and romantic!

Oh, how excited he is again!!!

He already wants for the evening to come and to enjoy it together with his husband in his embrace, but if he wants a roof on his head as a right adult and a peace of mind in his soul, he must do his own work first.

Argh, why adults always have to work!!!

------://////////:------

The Cat Cafe

Cafe where lost, abandoned, and stray cats can find their home.

Hizashi always loves to come here for a good coffee and to pet the cats of all kinds. He even had a favorite with a funny name, Nutmeg.

A middle-sized orange cat with a white belly and paws. He loves him mostly because he's the only cat who hates Shouta, and every cat loves Shouta, so this is kind of a miracle.

He also always does some kind of drastic mess and makes it everyone's problem. He would say he likes him the most because the cat reminds him by the personality of himslef, but that's a secret that can't be said out loud, so shh.

As he entered the cute interior of the Cat Cafe, the bell on the doors frame rang and he was immediately welcomed by a bunch of fluffy cats.

Nutmeg even tried to climb on his black leather jeans to get to his head, but Hizashi took him under a belly and held him in his arms, where he began to gently stroke his fur.

He was so happy!!!

He would be happy even longer if a certain woman didn't decided to show her existence.

"Look who we have here! Already petting a Nutmeg, mhm? And where is your black company, which should be covered with a pile of cats by now?"

A woman who spoked up to him with dark blue hair and with a black and white dress of a waitress stood at the counter, where she was wiping the glass cups and putting them on a shelf.

Kayama Nemuri, or as members of Alvis Taloons know her, Midnight.

The Dominant of a class B, with a quirk that is able to put people to sleep, was one of Hizashi's most loyal and trustworthy friends. They knew each other even before they both became members of Alvis Taloons. She was one year older and his reliable upperclassman while he was still studying at U.A. as a hero student.

If there was some trouble or arguments between Shouta and him, Nem always intervened and helped them through hard times. She was even the only one, who at that time in the past was trying to get them out of jail, even though Shouta and Hizashi didn't know it at that time.

But by a fate and helping hand in the form of Rat-God, all three of them got a chance to join a group. And after she learned the whole truth about Oboro's death too, she didn't even hesitate.

And exactly because of all of this, Hizashi wasn't even able to say a bad word at her joking, but just a simple "Hi to you too, Nem." with a spark of fondness, was enough.

Kayama then friendly smirked at him and indicated with her head where he should sit.

"The same order as always?"

"You know me well."

With a Nutmeg still in his hands, he slowly walked to the table and made himself comfortable in a chair with a soft seat cushion. It didn't take long, and Nem was already sitting opposite him and giving him his sweet, hot coffee.

She didn't even wait until he tried to sip from his drink to taste it and already started to form a wide dialogue between them.

"If my women's senses are right, and they're always right, I am convinced that our grumpy mister is right now in a mountain of work."

No shattering. Just 100% sure conviction. And she was obviously right.

But before Hizashi answered her, he looked around the cafe to be sure no one was bothering them and exhale when he was right.

"Your senses are indeed working. The leader decided to make from Shouta's life a living hell this weekend. I just hope that everything will be okay as soon as possible."

And he was seriously not kidding. It would be nice if Shouta had more time for himself.

And for him too...

"I am not surprised" said Nemuri with deep sigh, as she leaned against the bench and crossed her arms on her chest.

"I already expected some troubles. Just by the bigger numbers of the Deracticors, I can see the situation is getting more serious. Even though Deracticors themselves are not the problem. There is strength in numbers, and their proliferation is accelerating."

This problem was indeed a thorn in their eyes. It's that kind of situation where any helping hand is God's present, but the biggest problem is whether the present is trustworthy or whether it is hiding a drop of falsehood.

Alvis Taloons can't just randomly take a new member. Not without precaution.

But the HPSC with U.A. can. They had more sources for that.

"I think Shouta is on the same page. He would appreciate more help, but I know he is so stubborn that he wouldn't admit it." answered Hizashi with a smirk on his face, as he imagined how his husband would answer a question of "Would you need help?" The only result in his head was "I'm fine" and a little added growl for a bonus.

It looks like he can't ever get his husband out of his head. He is addicted.

But never mind. He didn't come here for this.

"Anyway, how's Hitoshi doing? I heard he is trying to get to a higher position."

And at that exact same moment, the doorbell suddenly rang with an indication that the new humans had arrived.

It was a couple in love and a well-known teen with purple hair styled up towards the ceiling and wearing a typical black uniform of an Aldera student.

Aldera Middle School provides for their loving students a whole black uniform with yellow buttons on a long-sleeved shirt and some black bags for school aids.

Not exactly extravagant, but who can choose these days?

When the teen went further inside, he immediately noticed them both and welcomed them with a basic "Yo" and went to the back rooms to change his clothes with no absolute care in the world.

This gave Nemuri a warm smile on her face and made her act as a waitress she was.

"I think you can now ask him yourself. He will probably be here in 10 minutes, so just wait a little bit and enjoy your coffee." She then stood up and came to welcome a new customers and serve them their ordered drinks.

If Yamada calculated it right, it probably took a little more than 10 minutes (possibly 20) until Hitoshi showed up again.

Or more Shinso Hitoshi, Alvis Taloons secret name, NightHide. His quirk is able to brainwash people by his voice and control their movements. He even has a modulator to help him change voices to better trap people by his power.

If you asked Hizashi, he would say to you it is a really cool and fantastic quirk, but not many had the same opinion as him, and because of this, the boy knew the true meaning of quirk discrimination in his life.

He wasn't the only one, and because of this, the Alvis Taloons fights the HPSC system to get a better chance of life for people who didn't choose their lucky card with which power they were born.

And Hizashi would do anything to accomplish this mission.

"What's up uncle." called Hitoshi suddenly, as he sat down right in front of him and nodded his head to acknowledge his presence.

Oh right, they had an interesting topic to discuss!

"Well, hello to you too, Hitoshi! How are the exams going? I heard you are hardly preparing for it. Are you excited?"

Yamada couldn't mention exactly that his nephew was trying to get from a position of Fledgling to a position of Owlet because of the people around, but smart Hitoshi knew right away what he was talking about.

He stopped to pet a white cat on his lap for a second, determinately looked into Hizashi's green eyes, and proved him right.

Wait, when did the cat manage to get to his lap???

"Yes, I am trying to be better. Our club in a school is giving me an exam in a few months, so I hope I will be able to success." He said it in a lazy manner, but Hizashi knew him well and knew he was stressed. But he never even thought that his amazing nephew wouldn't get it on the first try.

"I believe in your knowledge and your strength, so I know you have it right in your pocket!"

Then, as the comically foolish uncle he was, he fired a guns with his fingers at the purple boy, which caused a light color of red to form on his cheeks from embarrassment.

"Y-You don't have to do this anymore! I am not a child! I-I will be an adult in a few years!"

Adorable, just adorable. Hizashi didn't have any words.

"Ha ha ha, well you should worry then, because you would always be my little nephew, even if you would be all grown up!"

And to get a cherry on top, he started to make the sound of guns in the form of "Poow, poow" and "Bang, bang" to make it the most embarrassing moment for his beloved nephew.

It looked like Hitoshi was reaching the maximum and had enough of his embarrassing uncle, so he tried to defend himself at least with some little effort.

"No, stop it! That's eno—"

"Never!"

"Just don't–"

"But it's so much fun!!!"

"Not for me!!!"

"Are you embarrassing my son again, Hizashi?" The exchange of words between Hizashi and Hitoshi suddenly interrupted Nemuri, who looked at them with gentleness in her eyes.

Yamada knew she was just a mom who cared about her son, so he assured her that everything was fine.

"Don't worry! We were just playing a game, right Hitoshi?"

"No, we weren't."

"But we had so much fun!"

"As I said no, we weren't!"

"Na na Shinso, you already know how uncle Hizashi really is, you should at least have some immunity barrier by now."

That was right. They had known each other for some time already. There almost weren't any secrets between them, so there could be a possibility that Shinso built some shield for himself, but by Hitoshi's frown, Hizashi guessed it was a big no, no.

"Not a chance. I never met anyone crazier than uncle Hizashi."

"Oh, thanks for the compliment kiddo. That warmed my heart!"

After that, the frown appeared on Kayama's face in the form of jealousy instead, because someone else had received a compliment, but she hadn't.

"Don't I get a compliment too? If you don't give me any, I will hug you until you won't be able to breathe my sweetheart!"

"No, mom! Not you too!!!"

But Kayama didn't release her hold on Hitoshi, quite the opposite, she tightened the hug even more.

The fond, loving look in front of him Hizashi could only express in one word:

Family.

The duo of mother and son, who meant the world to each other.

Something Hizashi himself wasn't able to describe.

Just a look at them gave him a smile on his face and grateful feeling that they were happy, but... there was something more.

Something that hurt Hizashi...

It was... Happiness?

No, that wasn't right.

Jeaulousy, maybe?

It must be.

But... why???

Maybe because he never had the chance to feel that way? Never had his own family? Never had a chance to be a parent?

Never... had a kid of his own?

Well, that hurts.

He should probably go now.

"I should probably go. My work is waiting for me, and I can't let it wait any longer if I don't want to have a problem with a boss!"

Nemuri, as observant as she was, knew instantly something was up with him. She wasn't an idiot, but for this time, she let it go

"Well, that's the mission of the adults.

"I hope you will enjoy it at least."

"Don't worry, I will!" Hizashi then turned around and walked towards the door.

Before he could leave though, he heard behind him the "Come back anytime again!" sentence and returned it to them in his own words with "I will!"

------://////////:------

A leisurely stroll to Alvis Taloons' secret hideout, where Nedzu usually assigned him a filthy work, gave him a little more time to think about what had actually happened at the Nemuri's Cat Cafe.

His thoughts were still returning to the idea of what it would be like to be a real, upstanding parent.

To have a young child of his own that he can care about, to protect with all of his might, to teach him how to fight and hug him in a clouds of affection and so much love.

The possible image was definitely there!!!

But as blonde as he was, he wasn't so stupid as to not discuss it with Shouta first. If they would want a family in the future they would need to have a face-to-face conversation together. To question it, if it would be even possible.

They would definitely need to adopt, as guys together didn't have so much luck to have their own. And someone older because of their time at work. They can't take a tiny baby that doesn't even know how to walk to their home.

But maybe with all that in mind, it could work out?

"Welcome Mic Ripper, the Dominant of class A. The prisoner is already tied to the chair in a cell, as you wished for in your messages." said the duo of Fledglings in a synchronized manner and respectfully bowed to him at the entrance. Both in masks resembling an owl, with outfits customized by their desired wishes. It kind of looked like Hatsume Mei's work, who was one of the most skillful members in their group.

Hizashi honestly wasn't so much into authoritative performances and other things like etiquette and greetings to the higher-ups, but he understood the significance of why they had to do this.

The Rat-God definitely didn't have to explain it to him three times, absolutely not.

"Thank you for your hard work. I believe I can take care of everything else. You can go home now."

With that they bowed to him again and continued on their way home. Hizashi meanwhile walked to the end of a hall and tapped a code into the monitor to open up a big iron door, behind which was located a large den with a lot of changing rooms.

Time to finally dress up as a big villain he was!

He had his hair styled up upwards with a gel and three feathers attached on the right side of his hair. The upper part of his body was covered with a tight, long-sleeved black T-shirt, and on it a coat of a yellow-orange color (Hizashi would say that it was more of an amber shade) with black notes at the bottom. The coat was also extended and parted at the back in the form of feathers.

The lower body part was covered by black leather jeans and proper high black and gray boots.

As his weaponry, he used a polished CD players of his favorite songs covered under the sleeves of the coat, a blue guitar attached to his back, and a voice module on his mouth that helps him adjust the sound and even form him a digital smile to his own liking.

Also, like every member of the Alvis Taloons, Hizashi was supposed to wear an outfit with some resemblance of an owl, and he obviously did, but his beloved Shouta said he looked more like a cockatoo than an owl, which certainly didn't piss him off.

After a long changing, he finally went to the cell with the prisoner's folder of papers, from whom he needed to obtain important information and, as a bonus, have some little entertainment.

A prisoner was already waiting for him in an iron cell, tied tightly to a chair with a big frown on his face. He was wearing a simple black suit that resembled his own, which he had worn on that fateful day that changed his life.

Like a drama queen he was, he stage-coughed into his hand and slowly started to read a folder of papers, which had an interesting information about a chair-tied guy.

Oh, this will be fun!

"Well, well, well... who do we have here? Oh, look at this! An illegal importation of humans to another countries, selling bodies to the HPSC for experiments, and we can't forget about a murder of 5 innocent people. Tsk, tsk, tsk, that's a lot."

The man in a chair merely glanced at Hizashi's theatrical performance with his dark blue eyes, which could cast any nasty curse on the victim he would look at. All it would take was a few candles, and the ritual would be set.

Good that Hizashi knew from his own experience what a curse in a life really signified.

"Any word?"

"No??"

"Okay, sooo... can you please explain to me why you've done so many horrific deeds? Like this, you definitely won't get any christmas presents from Santa this year."

Hizashi childishly blinked at him a few times and slowly approached him, so that his gaze was directly above him. The prisoner meanwhile had enough, and with his high ego, he spat on Yamada's black boots and said a few unpleasant words.

"I don't have to explain to you a shit! You Alvis Taloons think you are heroes, but that's a lie. You are villains just lik– Argaaah!!!"

The knife was immediately stabbed into the man's thigh, causing unbearable pain and blood dripping onto the ground.

"Drop."

"Drop."

"Drop."

The blood dripped slowly by the prisoner's leg and Yamada, no Mic Ripper now, had also no more patience to maintain in himself. He gracefully walked over to the table with a torture tools on it and did a fairy-like twirl to appear right in front of a bastard's face.

"Yeah, Alvis Taloons indeed had killed a people. But the difference is, we killed the ones who deserved it. You see, right now, the whole Japan is on the brink of a war between us and the HPSC with U.A. hero school. Only time will tell when the fight will finally begin."

Trembling and with a hint of fear now on his face, the prisoner chose to just listen to Hizashi's world-wise words.

Good. That's right. That's how it should be.

"And the bickering between us and the HPSC doesn't mean that scoundrels like you don't bother us. If the heroes can't do their job right, then we must. And the job is to disarm a dirt like you, who is in our way to build a fine society."

With iron tongs in his left hand and a knife in his right, he gently allowed the man to choose an option.

"So tell me, which one will it be?"

"Y-You won't get from me anything!"

"Reallyyy??? So let's start to play then."

------://////////:------

Two hours after incredible torture and with all the information out from a prisoner that the Hizashi needed, their final game was approaching, and they were coming to a last game.

"Drums, please!!!" said Hizashi in the most cheerful and lunatic voice.

Trump, trump, trump!

"The game is Poow, Poow shooting! Created by my own adorable nephew! I will take a gun. Get it to your head, and your next words will be—"

"Y-You are c-crazy..."

"Oh, you guessed it right. Well then..."

Bang!

And the head of the villain now had a giant hole in a head.

Who would take care of a body now?

Also a basic picture for an illustration of Hizashi's villain costume, as I am not good at describing someone :)

Chapter Text

"Good eveving everyone. Today as always the MariaActuality are bringing you the most current news from the whole world. In Japan, more precisely in a big town in Musutafu, was today morning found a dead body of one of the most popular politicians and economists Kohu Hanabata, who was controlling many bank transfers and administrating documents of many people in Japan. He was found in..."

"Izuku."

"... an almost unrecognizable state, which according to our confirmed sources was caused by the well-known Japanese villain organization Alvis Taloons, who are very popular for similar events like this one. The police and heroes are still trying to properly investigate the crime scene in an attempt to find any evidence that would lead them to the people who caused this, and finally get them..."

"Izuku!"

"... behind the bars. People are starting to be more anxious and nervous about a situation, as an Alvis Taloons is becoming more and more dangerous and seems to be slowly unstoppable. The increased number of Deracticors and heroes doesn't seem to be helping Japan either, so people are starting to wonder, who would be able to stop this organization and finally establish the peace that people have been waiting for so long?"

"Izuku!"

"Y-Yee-s?!"

"I called at you three times and you still ignored me and hung around in your junk! How many times did I need to tell you that you are a son of one of the most successful men in the world and should leave the manufacture of devices to the lowest subordinates!"

If boy green as emerald with the name Midoriya Izuku was somewhere in a story as a main character, he would definitely be the lowest of the low. But in this reality, they say he is some rich boy with an intelligence quirk and the son of the office administrator, who is also the head of the technology factory and who is being currently transferred from America back to Japan due to an urgent situation.

And the urgent situation now being the world-famous Alvis Taloons.

"Ach, what am I supposed to do with you?"

Maybe let me be?

"Come on, our jet is already waiting at the hangar. We need to get from America to Japan as quickly as possible. I have an important meeting there that I can't miss."

"Yes, F-Father..."

Izuke then turned off the TV with the news and started to pack up by his father his last junk, which was an electric drone in the shape of a ball that has cameras on all sides and an electronic tablet that looked like a larger red book with a windows on the left side that allowed you to mix the ingredients inside depending on which chemicals you chose.

According to Izuku, they were amazing machines, and it wasn't because he made them himself, but because they were excellent at gathering information and analysis and using it to create a weakness for the dangerous enemies in the future.

Izuku was very proud of them and wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. There were also his red shoes and analysis books that he couldn't forget about to pack. It would probably take him a little longer to prepare than he had planned, but it wasn't like he cared.

His father never really cared about him, so why should he?

After 30 slowly passing minutes, he packed all of his property and his analysis books for a not-possible future into the suitcases and headed out of the testing rooms, already dressed in a formal white shirt with a green tuxedo vest and black jeans, towards one of the most expensive and precious jets that his family owned.

His father already sat in one of the VIP leather seats inside and out of "respect" Midoriya decided to sit down in one across from him too.

"Did you already send an application to U.A.? You know how I really want from you to be a good hero. It would make a perfect name for our company." said unemotionally Midoryia Hisashi, the obvious Midoriya Izuku's father, or better said his DNA creator, who typed at his phone some messages to someone and didn't even look at his son in the eyes.

"Yes, I did." answered Izuku, who already had enough of his parent by now and couldn't imagine how his father would look like if he knew that he didn't even want to go to that school.

His dream had already been for a few years to become a professional analyst and inventor for hero costumes.

Not to become one.

"Good. We will be in Musutafu at 7:00 in the morning, until then, don't wake me up."

Don't bother me. Live your life. You are nothing to me...

And another 1000 words Izuku could describe his father's feelings to him.

He perfectly understood. He knew his father was treating him like trash, but he wanted to say at least something to him at the end.

But as weak as he always was, he wasn't able to do that. He only mustered a basic "Okay" and that was it. That was everything he could say aloud.

Look out! The greatest and bravest hero in a world right in front of our eyes! Let's all celebrate his awesomeness! Yuhuuu!!!

Yeah...

That's hardly imaginable...

------://////////:------

"Hello, Mister Midoriya Hisashi and Midoriya Izuku. Welcome to our best 5-star hotel in this jurisdiction. We have already prepared the room according to your wishes. Our staff will deliver your bags and other luggage to your room in a few minutes."

Hisashi just growled in annoyance at the woman with his black phone still in his hand and didn't give Izuku any chance, just to asnwer "Thank you" to a nice lady instead.

"You are welcome. Oh, and also your own maidservant Lady Nagant will start your cleaning on Tuesday and from then every second day in a week. She is best at precision, so you don't have to worry about any dirt in your home."

Izuku nodded in understanding and followed after his father, who was already boarding the elevator to the top floor.

When the elevator opened on the 20th floor with a "Ding" sound of a bell, his father didn't even look at the space inside and instantly went to a living room and sat down on a couch with his legs now lying on a small coffee table.

Right, his father doesn't care about anything. Money buys him everything.

When Midoriya Hisashi decided to not look at the interior of an expensive rooms, it was Izuku's job to at least take a look around his new home.

Right in front of him was a large living room with a 4K Ultra HD television and two big blue sofas, one of which was already lazily occupied by his "favorite" family member. There were also large glass windows in the back, through which people could see an entire city of Musutafu.

On the right side was a kitchen with a modern design furnished in black and white colors, and on the left were two mahagony doors, one leading to a toilet and the other to a Greek-style bathroom.

There was also a spiral staircase made up of glass, which led up against the wall, leading to the two large bedrooms and a tiny guest room. The second bedroom, further to the left from the stairs, with green sheets on the bed and four viridian walls, was definitely Izuku's.

Home sweet home.

Izuku never really knew the meaning of a true home, even in America he was always traveling from place to place and never found his true place where he belonged. Maybe now that he has returned to Japan after many years, he will finally find something or someone to cherish and love.

Perhaps I-I will finally find some new f-friends here and won't have to w-write only Melissa to have a nice c-conversations, and m-maybe they will not call me a weir-rdo now, as they always do, and also I-I might learn something n-new, as Japan has a good advanced t-technolochy here, and then...

"Izuku!"

S-Shii-tt!

"How many times did I tell you that your mutterings are damaging my eardrums! If you don't shut up, I will make you!"

"Y-Yes, I w-will!"

Well... he is taking it back.

He will never feel loved and happy until he has this horrible man in his life.

------://////////:------

Sitting in a large kitchen behind a wooden dining table, Izuku was now eating a pork meal with rice and a carrot salad, which was made by a skilled chef of a 5-star hotel.

Although it was a delicious and warm meal for dinner, it definitely didn't feel like one. It wasn't of course a mistake of profesional chef, but a mistake on Izuku's part, as he missed a totally different type of cooking.

More exactly, his mom's cooking.

Midoriya Inko's katsudon, which was his favorite in a top 10 rank of his mother's meals. He even now remembers the wide smile that she gave him when she was precisely preparing it for him.

Sincere and full of love.

Made by not the most professional hands, but still really delicious.

He always lived in a seventh heaven when he tried a bite of her food. Almost like an addict waiting for an opportunity to steal possible food from her own small kitchen. He even now can imagine that memory, where they cooked a food together and enjoyed every minute of it.

Izuku, are you watching that video again? You've already watched it for 3 hours straight, I should give you some time limit on that.

But Mom, All Might is so cool!

He can save everyone with a smile on his face! I want to be a hero just like him someday!

Sure, sure, you can, but that's enough for today. Come on, I need your tongue to taste if the katsudon is finally ready.

Mom, have you made a katsudon?

You are so great!

Not yet. I need you to finish it for me.

Alright, mummy.

So, what's missing?

Mhm, I think we need a little more pepper and then it will be fine.

Okay, so we will add a little amount of pepper.

And what about now?

Yup, this is how mom's katsudon is best!

Thank you.

Thank you for your help too, my little hero. You saved our delicious dinner today, and for that I am grateful.

You are welcome mom!

But don't worry about calling me again, because you know I AM HERE for you!

Right ha, ha, ha. Thank you honey. I can't imagine a world without you.

Me too, momma! Me too!

However, not everything can remain as a beautiful dream, and that's why it changed on that one fateful day.

A day that changed his whole life to the worse.

It was a fight in which Midoriya Inko found herself unwillingly. She went to the store to buy some basic groceries for her precious son when a sudden attack began out of nowhere.

It was a battle between organizations that were just starting to make a name for themselves throughout all of Japan.

A conflict between Heroes and Villains.

A struggle between HPSC and Alvins Taloons.

A wrestle, which didn't even have to happen, but it did, and took his mother's lovely life.

And Izukus life slowly either...

The reason he hadn't wanted to be a hero since he was six years old was precisely because of this. It cost him his last hope in believing in magical things and fairy-tale dreams.

It took him everything.

How can I be a hero mom when I wasn't even able to save you? The glorious All Might couldn't, so how can I save someone else?

Father wants from me to be a hero, but the truth is, I am not predicted to be one. How can I change that? How can I be a stronger version of myself?

I need you mom...

I miss you so mu—

"Izuku, I am going to a meeting now! Try to study to be prepared for the exams at U.A. We can't allow from you any other mistakes. Not in this one." said his father suddenly and got Izuku away from his thinking coma. He was already prepared in an expensive grey suit with a silver rings on both of his hands.

The total image of an absolutely lofty man.

His father's eyes were aiming at his downcast posture with something darker in them, and Izuku instantly knew what it exactly represented.

By his first mistake, he definitely meant his quirklessnes.

It was obviously a main reason why his parents divorced, and he lived only with his mother from the age of four. But when Midoriya Inko died and sudden custody was passed to him, he raged and breathed a blazing fire like a giant, terrifying dragon.

Hisashi used his intelligence for analysis and crafting to make for him a useful quirk on a formal paper with a helping hand from the higher-ups and also from people who owed him money.

Because by his words: I can't have some quirkless, useless boy as a son! Not a chance! So now, you will have a slightly improved intelligence quirk, and you won't say a word about it!

Yup, not really made up at all.

But he also can't forget how badly he was beaten up because of it, even though it wasn't his fault he was born like that, he still suffered a few unpleasant hits, which gave him a reason to never remind his father about his quirk error at all.

Well, that's in the past, beatings are now sometimes too, but they are not so severe as they were. The only thing he can do right now is to make his father satisfied and start to study for a position, he would definitely regret in a future for a 99,99%.

------://////////:------

The few months passed like a whiz for Izuku, and he was already waiting for an exam at U.A. to begin.

The writing part was the easiest one. He didn't have a made-up intelligence quirk just for nothing, but when it came to the physical part, theeere Midoriya had a little problem trying to stay alive.

It started with multiple green robots on a field, where Izuku might not have been able to do much damage without his drone and tablet, but thanks to an approval document that allowed him to bring his own tools, he eventually managed to destroy them without a blink of an eye.

However, he mostly tried to save people first, like a great hero would do, because his internal instinct told him that there has to be some version of save points or something similar, since this was obviously a test for future heroic students, not for a bunch of simple destroyers.

And he couldn't possibly be wrong.

His ultra instincts never lied.

R-Right...?

But before he could think about it more, the real fun came to Izuku in the form of the biggest robot, where he saved a short-haired purple girl with electronic cables coming out of her ears (probably a partial mutant quirk) from a near-death crush by that said robot, or as the robot was called, a Zero Pointer, who was not far from taking her life.

He really hoped that the committee that was watching them through expensive cameras and drones had some controls by which they could stop the robot at any time, as Izuku knew if he hadn't been there, it could have ended up really badly.

But in the end, everything went well, and he was returning with a good feeling in his heart while he was sitting in a white limousine, which was driving him home with his bodyguards.

It would be nice if he didn't have so many bodyguards everywhere and he could enjoy a nice walk at least once a week, but it seems by his four watchdogs sitting peacefully around him that he wasn't allowed to do that.

But maybe...

"Can we stop on this side of the road, please? I need to go to the toilet, and I think I'll be there for a while because I'm not feeling really good right now."

It didn't take long, and the bodyguards were submitting to his request, as he was without a doubt a son of one of the most famous administrators in America. And now obviously in Japan too.

He cleverly used it to his advantage and slipped through the small bathroom window of a luxurious restaurant, where they had stopped nearby with their expensive limousine.

When he was finally outside, he took a deep breath of the air that smelled of freedom and went wherever his feet took him first. He later found himself in a central city park, where he climbed onto the branch of the nearest blooming sakura tree and silently watched the children's playground right in front of him. There were many children playing games and trying to learn new ones from their neighborhood friends with smiles on their faces and with no care about the future problems of the world at all.

And oh, what Izuku would give for that, people couldn't even imagine.

To have many funny and interesting friends, a family who would care about him, experiences full of adventure, and a good feeling that he was living his life to the fullest.

Is that too much to ask?

Can he someday be the kid that he always wanted to be too?

The questions in his mind weighed heavily, and he knew that there was probably no possibility for it to come true, but he still repeated it in his head over and over again, as if it would change the outcome, which he so much wished for in his unfulfillable dreams.

His dreams that will never come true because of a certain man in his life. A man he would gladly send to a deserted island with no food, no house, and definitely with no possible way to return.

The question now is... how can a 15-year-old teenager do it without anyone noticing?

Before he could come up with an idea, a sudden panicked screams were heard from behind him, and he could slowly see the hazy outlines of his bodyguards in the distance.

It took them less time than before. That's a new record ha, ha. He should prepare some celebration for them.

Well, karma is a bitch, and she found Izuku in the form of a branch that broke when he tried to get down to the ground. He expected to fall hard and break a bone or two, but what surprised him the most was that his fall wasn't that hard and that the ground even let out a painful groan.

W-Wait, could it be-e???

And he was right. Right below him was a man dressed in all black with long black hair, wrapped in a yellow sleeping bag with a white scarf around his neck. He looked like he was resting under a tree until Izuku fell on top of him, interrupting his peaceful sleep.

God, this is probably the exact time when he should apologize and start panicking! So...

"I'm so s-sorry!!! I was sitting in a tree and suddenly a branch broke and I didn't know you were here. I wouldn't d-do this to you on purpose, I certainly wouldn't! I just... A-Are you okay? Should I call an ambulance?... If y-you can't answer, just show me one finger for yes and two for n—"

In his panicked state, a rough man's hand suddenly covered his mouth, preventing him from saying any more words.

"I am alright kid, so please just calm down." said the deep voice of the man who was starting to slowly get in a sitting position and stretch his back with a quiet crack.

R-Right, right, he can calm down. Nothing happened. It l-looks like the man is fine. Even though by his appearance, he would say that he is homeless...

Wait. T-That makes the s-situation even w-worse!!!

"I'm really sorry again! I didn't mean to do it. If I can help you someho—"

"No, I'm fine."

"B-But, if I can—"

"No, it's alright."

"But, I'm r-really so—

"Kid, if you say that you are sorry one more time, I swear to you, I wouldn't be sorry if I make you shut up by any means necessary." said the now tired and irritated man, who, judging by his black circles under his eyes, needed several years of sleep and at least five coffees a day.

Izuku immediately closed his open mouth after the man's sentence and waited for the now unknown stranger to start a conversation first. But all the exhausted man managed to do was to steady himself, pack his sleeping bag, and stand up to leave.

However, Izuku couldn't just let him go without some form of forgiveness. He should have at least invited the man for a coffee, bought him something to eat, or given him some money for his back pain. The mister looked very much like a homeless person, and his heart had to act on it.

"Please, wait a minute!" he screamed loudly from his lungs when he was running to catch a homeless-looking fellow.

"Ach, what now kid?"

"Please, take this."

When Izuku tried to put the money in the man's hand, the tired man only looked at him even more exasperatedly and pinched his nose with the other hand and exhaled deeply.

How can he look even more tired than before!?

"What are you doing now, kid?"

"Giving you a m-money."

"Why?"

"B-Because...

It was hard for him to formulate a meaningful reason for why he was doing this, but he figured honesty would probably be the best option.

"I-I know how hard the life of a h-homeless man in a big town is, and because of that I am giving you some m-money I have near me. P-Please, buy some warm food or new clothes, o-or just what you need, and use them for your own good."

Right after he finished his sentence, he shoved the money into the man's hand, who instantly froze after his act and was unable to move even a step. The stranger's eyes were also wide open, and it looked like they might fall out if he didn't decide to close them soon.

Izuku didn't know if the reason for the homeless man's sudden change in behavior was from a pleasant surprise, or from the shock at what Izuku had just done, but he couldn't be with the man any longer, as his massive bodyguards were already on the lookout 10 meters away.

"Oh sorry, I must go now! Have a nice day!" He said now satisfied, and quickly started running away from the surprised person and also away from the park. Although the man looked like the most mysterious beggar in a park, Izuku still hoped that he would meet him someday again.

At least, so he can buy him that dark coffee to function better. He will totally need it in this world! Maybe he should start looking under the sakura trees and near the trash cans to find him again?

------://////////:------

He knew he didn't want to be a hero.

He really didn't...

But this was even worse!

Maybe he didn't hear it r-right? He just needs to play it from the start again.

"Hello, Midoriya Izuku!"

"Today we are happy to announce to you that you have been accepted as a student to the U. A. Hero High School!"

"Firstly, in your writing exam you scored with a 98% score, which is the highest record achieved in the last 10 years. That's really good intelligence young man, keep it going! And from the practical exams, you placed in twelfth place from all participants with 25 villain points and 40 rescue points. Very well done too! However, based on your use of the quirk, tools, and the comparison of the number of points with the other students, we have decided with a committee of teachers and pro-heroes to not include you in the hero course but in the D.E.C.U. course instead!"

He must be kidding, right?! There's no other way...

"Here you can help Japan to prosper in many ways, as you would become a help assistant to a hero, and your main job would be to help him catch the villains and mainly the members of mischevious Alvis Taloons. You will also try to find new clues and information about them and their secret hideouts. Be of course the right-hand man to your assigned hero and the pride of a town!

So, welcome again, Midoriya Izuku, as a new:

  • Deratizational
  • Exterminator
  • Containing
  • Ultra-cleanliness

D.E.C.U., or under another name as Deracticor.

Yup, his father is definitely going to kill him.

Chapter Text

When Midoriya Izuku says he is in big trouble. It is usually a reaaaally big trouble, and right now, he was looking at the proof of that.

The holographic video player, which had been replayed for the sixth time in a row, was currently lying on the other side of the room due to the rage that had suddenly consumed him because of him becoming a new Deracticor.

A Deracticor!!!

After everything he had done, he had to become a stupid Deracticor instead of a hero!

Was it because he wasn't good enough? Did he make some mistake somewhere that he overlooked? Was it really because he saved more people, as a normal hero would do, instead of destroying silly robots?

He just couldn't believe it, just couldn't!

But the proof was right there smiling at him in a destroyed state and telling him in a voice of glorious All Might, that yes Midoriya, you have become a Deracticor and now you have to face the consequences in the form of your loving father.

Great...

Just great.

What more could he wish for?

After a deep and tired exhale, he decided to get up and sweep up the broken pieces of equipment, which he then threw into the trash can. He also headed out of his room and found himself in the spacious kitchen, where he prepared colorful cereal in his white bowl with black cat paws and sat down slackly at the dining table.

While he was sitting and eating children's cereals, he was thinking about the true reason why he ended up as Deracticor.

And there was only one possible reason...

His quirk.

Although U.A. doesn't know he is quirkless, the committee probably thinks that a slightly enhanced intelligence quirk is better for search and assistance than for superheroing, because he can't show it off fashionably in front of a big crowd and that without his made-up gadgets, he wouldn't have scored as many points as he did.

It was obviously awful. It was unfair. It was stupid to judge someone based on their quirk and evaluate their full potential because of it, even though that person could have been far more greater than that with a powerful quirk.

But it was also something Izuku knew quite well in his life and every time he couldn't change it. The minds of people still saw him as a useless little boy who couldn't accomplish anything, and that's presumably how it always will be.

And they are probably right...

Even now with a fake quirk, he isn't able to accomplish one simple thing.

"Izuku? I'm home! Did your results from U.A. come in yet?"

Double great.

"I-I am in a kitchen!"

It didn't take long, and his father was already sitting in front of him on the other side of the table, asking him questions that he didn't want to know the answers to.

"I heard from a colleague at work that the son of a famous hero has already received a response from the U.A. that he was accepted as a hero, so how did your exam tests go?"

After thousands of years, Midoriya Hisashi looked up from his expensive phone into Izuku's green eyes and asked him the question he wanted to hear the least in the world.

As a child, Izuku always tried to demand attention from his occupied father. Only after years did he realize that it was pointless and that it wasn't worth it. But now that his father was staring at him with that fixed, terrifying sight, he wanted everything looking at him, just not his parent's "worthy-of-expectation" gaze.

"It's that I... Well, you see, I-I... How should I tell you this... They-y... Ahh... I—"

"Izuku, you know how your muttering is driving me crazy. If you don't stop it and start acting like a well-mannered young man, I'm actually going to send you to articulation classes."

Right now, it would be 100% better for Midoriya than telling the truth. But Izuku knew he had no choice. The vein on his father's forehead was starting to get bigger and bigger, and he knew his father wouldn't stop until he got the truth from him.

"I-I've become a D-Deracticor..." he whispered as slowly and quietly as possible, and because of this, his father obviously wasn't able to hear him.

"What did you say? I didn't hear you?"

"I have become a Deracticor!!!" From a panic that was gradually building in him, the sentence he wanted to say aloud sounded like a scream now.

A scream, which froze up his father on a black chair like an icicle.

And the silence was heavy. So heavy that Izuku thought he would suffocate on the floor in any second.

His father still sat on the other side, emotionless and unresponsive. Almost like those guys who got paid for not moving in the squares with funny costumes or costumes of a statue.

Oh, but this was totally a different situation. And Izuku knew it. The universe knew it. Everybody knew it. But Izuku still hoped that there would be some tiny chance that his father wouldn't explode like killer dynamite.

At least, he really wished for it...

It took maybe five slow, long passing minutes until his father decided to quickly stand up, walk over to him, and place his hand on his messy, green hair.

But, w-why?

The last time his father patted him on the head for doing something well was before he was four years old. Is this that wished miracle he thought of? No, that can't be right. So, what's happening now—

SLAM!

And his head was suddenly slammed hard against the table by his parent's big hand. He could already imagine the painful lump he would have on his head for a whole two weeks, but the worst part of the situation was that his loving father decided to keep continuing in what he was doing.

"You useless thing! You had one job! One job to become a hero and to make a name for yourself, and even that you weren't able to do right!!!"

SLAM!

"How can you be so useless! Even a rat can lead a secret villain organization, and you can't even pass the easy exams!"

SLAM!

"What am I supposed to do with you? Mhm!? This is not something I can just change! There are big figures in the U.A. who are not to be messed with!"

SLAM!

"You will become a hero even if your hands are cut off, you understand!? I don't care what scene you will perform, but do something to get transferred, because if you don't, only then will you see what happens to people like you!!!"

After that the man in the role of his father let go of his head and walked outside of the kitchen to his large bedroom, where he hardly slammed his door from behind.

Izuku on the other hand was in a totally different kind of situation.

The lump on his forehead was taking on new forms, and he could already see drops of dark blood on the table too. He would have to clean it up and bandage it properly by himself. There was also a spilled bowl of cereal and milk he would have to take care of later. He will probably try to call Lady Nagant for help and hope she won't be mad.

No, he won't burden others with his incompetence. He has already done enough trouble for today.

Honestly, Izuku had expected this reaction. Even though it was in worse form, he still knew it could happen.

He was a disappointment to his father.

A disappointment to his status.

And now disappointment to himself.

And disappointments are not so easily forgiven...

------://////////:------

A week and a half passed, and Midoriya still had a painful lump on his head. He wouldn't have minded so much if he hadn't had to go to one of the most famous hero schools in Japan with a bandage on his head on his first day.

The U.A. Hero High School.

The school where everybody wants to study and have a chance to become the greatest hero.

Everybody except Izuku.

And Izuku wouldn't even study to be a hero here, no, no, no. He would study here to become a Deracticor who would try to track down and find the Alvis Taloons organization, which has been causing problems in Japan for several years, or at least problems for the government and high-ranking people.

Japan simply can't accept the fact that there is a rat who is smarter and more skilled than them, and now they're putting the problem on Izuku's shoulders.

What more could he want, right?

Izuku wished at least that they would send him to another course like General Education, Support, or maybe a Management course or something else. But fate wasn't so kind to him as to everyone else and sent him to the D.E.C.U. course instead.

Yeah, he hates this...

Well, he hopes at least classmates will be fine.

He really hoped it wouldn't be like years in the past, when kids and his classmates called him a weirdo, a crazy psychopath, and a hundred other hideous nicknames, just because he was different from them. Or better said, smarter than them.

However, as he stood for 15 embarrassingly long minutes in front of the big doors of class 1E, he began to think something different.

With a big, deep inhale, he gathered all the courage he had in himself and warily opened the large door to his new starting chapter in his life.

Now or never.

With an open door, a crowd of people were already looking at him and slowly reading and coding him whole from his head to his toes. Izuku obviously wasn't surprised, because he started to do the exact same thing.

However, he wasn't interested in the nice looks and personalities of various people in class, but about their cool quirks instead.

And it was mostly because he could use his matured analytical skills to find out if his theorethical assumptions were true. And in a few moments, he could say that yes, he was right.

Most people, at least those who had visible signs of quirks, had abilities similiar like Izuku's.

Searching, listening, and finding out.

For example, the one boy in the left corner who had six big arms instead of the basic two was able to form an ear on his one left arm, thanks to which he was probably able to listen to the conversation of two boys sitting right next to him.

Then there was an invisible person whom Izuku almost didn't notice if it weren't for the moving clothes in the air. Based on the type of school uniform the silhouette wore, he had guessed that it was a girl.

And it looks like there is also a familiar young girl standing in front of him whom Izuku managed to save during the Zero Pointer tests. He assumed that the electronic cables from the ears could also serve very well as a listening tool. Either sounds or some code signals. Definitely an interesting quirk too.

There were certainly many more people like that who could be analyzed into more deeper details, but before he could approach it, the purple-haired girl was slowly heading towards him and looking at him with her dark, black eyes.

Huh, why is she coming towards me? Did I stare at her frame for a long time? Or did I mutter as I usually do? Or-r—

"Hi. I'm Kyoka Jiro. Do you remember me from an entrance exam?" The purple-haired girl started to talk suddenly and got him away from his tiny panicking circle.

Ah, r-right he should probably answer...

"Y-Yeah, you are that g-girl from an exam. I-I remember y-you."

Why does he sound so stressed out? Maybe because he didn't have so much experience with girls in his miserable past before, except with Marina? Oh no, this will end terribly.

"Yes, I just wanted to thank you for saving me from that giant Zero Pointer robot at the exam. I really thought I would be demolished to the death at that time by that thing." she said now shyly, not looking him directly in the eyes, with a closed, precarious posture.

Izuku was honestly just glad he was able to help, but there was something else starting to irritate him, as he was starting to hear the sound of a ticking timer from somewhere in the background. By the facial gestures, it looked like the guy with six mutant arms noticed that too.

"I-It was nothing, you are welcome." When he finally got his mind off the irritating unpleasant sound, he tried to answer the girl with at least some assured sentence, but immediately after that followed between them an awkward, embarrassing silence.

It was the friendly-looking cable girl again, who broke off the silence.

"Yeah, and by the way, what's your name?"

"Ah, r-right. My name is Midoriya I-Izuku."

Wait, was he starting to smell the smoke now too?

"Well, thank you again, Midoriya Izuku. I hope we will be good classmates or maybe even friends in the futur—"

Before she could finish her sentence though, a mysterious voice suddenly called from nowhere and interrupted them in their little, unfinished dialogue.

"In 1 minute, 30 seconds, and 21 milliseconds a middle-sized bomb will explode here, and you have no idea it's even going to happen, and on top of that, you want to make your last friends here?"

"What a silly kids, aren't you?"

After these few words, every head in the classroom turned around to the source of the deep voice, where in a left corner behind a teacher's table stood a man leaning against the wall with his arms folded. He had short white hair and a long converted black coat with a white shirt underneath and a black tie around his neck. He also wore high black boots with black, baggy pants, which completed the look of cold, dark nightmare.

The exact nightmare, when you fall asleep in the middle of the night and suddenly realize that there is a dark person standing in your room right in front of your eyes, and you aren't able to move around even a tiny bit, because of the paralysis, which is starting to burn you alive.

But the most terrifying feeling for Izuku wasn't even the aura of the man, but that he didn't even know he was there until the person didn't decide to call out.

He is literally perfect in observing, so how could he missed him out?!

"There was a whiff of burning in the air for ten whole minutes, and at the same time the ticking of the clock indicating the decreasing time of possible danger, and not one of you was going to speak up and report the strange phenomenons. How do you want to be Deracticors when you can't even figure out that you have a bomb above your head?"

At that, the mysterious man took a black katana from behind his back and cut the ceiling of the classroom with a small jump, from where the bomb fell with small pieces of the wall. The bomb also had a digital timer in front, which showed that it was supposed to explode in one second.

Where did he even get the katana, and why does the bomb look like a real one?! Is this a test? What's going on?!

"If you think you came here to make friends, you are mistaken. Your job is to investigate and search. To be your hero's right hand, and not to be his lovely buddy. If you want to make friends here, you can leave now."

After his words, the mysterious man pointed his katana towards the door and looked with serious eyes into the souls of the entire class.

Everyone was silent at that, with no tiny move of their bodies at all. No one dared to say anything about the mighty authority that stood right before them.

The man at this just looked from side to side around the classroom with his blazing eyes and nodded slightly with his head.

"Good. My name is Touya Todoroki. Call me Todoroki-sensei. I will be your homeroom teacher from now on. Take your exercise clothes made by the school in your size and go after me. We are going to have a first lesson exactly at 8:45." said his now new, scary homeroom teacher and started walking towards the door out of the 1E classroom.

Before he could leave though, the invisible girl asked him a question half of their classroom had in their processing minds.

"Wait, shouldn't there be some school tour or something? Will we have the first lesson the first day in our school?"

The Todoroki-sensei slowly glanced at this with his head behind, and answered nonchalantly to her quiestion.

"As the hero's assistants, you won't have time to play and look around. You'll have to look around when you get the chance. Now, everyone who doesn't want to be thrown out from the school yards, follow after me."

Not even a second passed, and everyone ran after the unknown man. Nobody obviously wanted to be kicked out from the U.A. Hero High School on a first day.

They were quickly dressed in a few minutes in the changing rooms, and after that they found themselves in a large hall with a big white screen that looked like a large vestibule. They sat down on the red chairs in front of the screen while their teacher turned on the presentation.

On the screen was visible a good quality camera recording of a few people who were exchanging secret hand signals between them. It was probably villains of Alvis Taloons, as their feathers were seen as part of their villain costumes.

Izuku was starting to analyze the video and their secret signals before his sensei even started to explain their lesson.

"As you can see, and as you probably figured out, this is a record of Alvis Taloons, which we captured two days ago in the Blue district near Mantrela Street. Your task would be to figure out from the video as much information as you can, and when you find something, you will report it to me by raising your hands..."

Oh, that's not so hard. He might even enjoy it.

"...and also whoever ends up at the last place with the least amount of points received from how many times you raised your hand and found important information, that person will be kicked out from this course immediately."

Wait, what?!!!

He can't be serious, right?

But the devilish smile on his new sensei's face was telling Izuku something otherwise.

Okay, he just needs to figure out some good evidence from a recorded video. H-He can do it.

He instantly opened his analysis notebook to a new page and started to write his possible theories. His classmates were slowly starting to raise their hands and getting some points for their right answers, but Izuku was keeping his hands down with something different in mind.

The pattern just didn't make sense to him. There must be something more to this. It was too easy to read the signals from the video and figure out the location for their next meeting.

Could the rat which led the organization for years let something like this slip up? Could he maybe be reading too much into this? Will he again regret his intuition instinct?

What should he do?!

It took another 30 minutes until Izuku collected all his confidence in himself, and raised his right hand.

"Yes, Midoriya."

"The a-answers of the classmates, they are... T-They are wrong... p-probably. There is possibility that I-I might be wrong... of course, but..."

SLAM!

And his words were suddenly interrupted by the sound of the strong foot strike. It was the feet of now angry Todoroki-sensei.

"If you can't answer straight and be confident with your decisions, you are just a liability on a field. You need to think sometimes for your hero too, and if you aren't able to do that and believe in yourself, you can just leave."

And wow, he isn't sure why these words hurt so much. He knew he didn't want to become a Deracticor. He knew it.

But right now, he wanted to prove himself  in front of his new sensei, that he is able to do something right for once in his life.

That he can't give up!

"O-Okay, so... As we can see, there's a clear indication that their next meeting will be held in the Yellow district on Garandola Street near a statue of Poriklonos, but I think this statement is false. First of all, the Poriklonos statue was once a symbol of peace and tenderness in the 16th century. It would be quite perverse to have their meeting there. Even though we can notice their hand signs and symbols that they often give each other, the individual members don't even look at it as if it doesn't have any meaning. That's why I started looking at their eyes. Each one of them blinks their eyes at different intervals, but when they look at each other, you could say that the blinking is almost the same. I think that their secret coding is based on the teachings of the ancient Marklan, who used a similar communication when trying to communicate between animals. By counting the number of times they closed their eyes, I was able to research the individual numbers and calculate the correct coordinates that were repeated twice in the video. So in the end, I think this is the correct place for their next meeting."

After the tiresome talking with a deep exhale, he tore a sheet with numbers from his notebook and showed it to everyone in the class. Everyone else was left speechless by his mutterings, but Izuku wasn't interested in them right now. Izuku mainly wanted recognition from his homeroom teacher.

The teacher in question just stared at Izuku with no emotion on his face, and looked him slowly over in detail with his eyes from top to bottom.

After a few seconds, however, he decided to close his eyes and announce the news that almost caused Izuku to have a heart attack.

"That would be the end of our first lesson. Let's take a look at your number of points collected."

And on the screen were now results of the all classmates points with Izuku right on the last place.

Oh, no. He raised his hand just once! He had only one good point! He is last, and now he will be kicked out of a course!!!

Why is his luck so horrible?!

Before he could drown himself in the sea of depression, his devilish teacher burst into the volcano of blue flames, and started to monstrously speak to whole class again.

"Also I was lying, no one is going home. That was just a rational deception to make sure you gave it your all in the test."

"What!" said all the classmates together with their mouths widely open.

But what surprised Izuku twice as much as his classmates, was that his teacher wasn't just any hero, but that he was famous underground flame pro-hero Dabi, who is also one of the most popular heroes in the underground for his high rate of reducing crime and catching a high number of villains.

He is one of the best, and now he will have him as a teacher! He can't believe he only recognized him after he showed up his blue amazing flames!

Maybe this course won't be so terrible form him in the end after all! He is excited!

"Okay, now we'll go through five more videos like this and whoever finds the least clues will clean the school's toilets."

Or maybe not...

Somewhere in U.A. Hero High School in the late afternoon:

"Beep"

"Beep"

"Beep"

"What do you want, Dabi? Why are you calling me? We don't have any meeting today, you dumbass!" said some mystery, tired voice on the other line of the pro-hero's phone.

"Well, well, well, I was thinking you would like to hear what I found out from our new kid today." answered now the flame hero, who had high expectations from this ordinary phone call.

"Don't delay Dabi and get to it."

"Okay, so..."

.

.

.

After a long conversation between them, only a few words could be heard on the other line in a dry voice.

"I will send Kurogiri to you. Be prepaired."

Chapter Text

Aizawa Shouta was tired.

It of course wasn't anything new or something entirely surprising, but these last few months he was so tired that he could go into deep hibernation for years and not even care about it.

The main reason for his tiredness was work.

It was always the work...

Many, many meetings, sessions, and papers that needed to be done still lay on his table unfinished and unrealized. From the piles of documents that looked like skyscrapers in his working office the new city began to take shape and Aizawa could say that it all looked kind of ridiculous.

He was one of the most responsible people in his job, but even for him, what was too much was just too much, and he admitted to himself that he needed a nice, long break.

At least for a few goddamn minutes.

So after long, thoughtful consideration, he decided to go for a good walk to the main park of a town. He of course took his yellow sleeping bag with him, as he knew he would definitely need it.

After a quick search for a perfect spot, he found a nice place to relax under a beautiful sakura tree, where he slowly lay down in a shadow and let his mind finally rest. But with his luck these days it didn't take long, and in the background he was awakened by the sound of laughing, crazy children.

Of course he needs to lie dowm near a kids playground with a lot of loud children. He couldn't have just one minute of peace in his life.

But as he was watching the kids play and run around the climbing frames, he started to think about another problem that occupied his overcrowded mind.

A few weeks ago, they had a little surprising and strange talk with Hizashi about a kids. Hizashi honestly told him one evening when they were drinking wine that he was thinking about having a child whom he would take care of. Like how when he saw Nemuri lovely hugging Hitoshi, it hurt him badly in his chest and made him feel uneasy. The weird feeling in his body that wants him to experience the same with another child of his own.

The wonderful experience of being a father.

And after this particular talk, their relationship somehow started to grind between their teeths. And it wasn't of course because they didn't love each other anymore, but because Aizawa honestly told him that he doesn't know if he is prepared to be a father. His relationship with his parents wasn't the best, and he doesn't know if he can be a proper father figure to some random child. Or when they would take them in to their child.

He was scared, he needed time to think it through properly, but even he knew this decision took him longer than his other ones and that Hizashi could feel his indecision and uncertainty too. That most probably, he wouldn't want a child to take care of and love as his own.

And that made their relationship drive on a rollercoaster of emotions.

Up and down.

Up and down.

A little messy circle.

And again up and down.

Aizawa honestly didn't know what to do!

Everything was starting to be slowly more messed up, but it seems fate decided to not give up on him immediately, as it brought him an opportunity in the form of a girl who lost a ball while throwing it with someone in the park. The ball rolled right towards him and hit his right leg. It looked like the kid didn't register his presence until he decided to pick the red ball up in his rough hands.

Maybe like this he can get more into contact with children? Should he start to spend more time in a park? Or go to some parent's meeting and see how it works?

Well, maybe this little girl can actually help him get through this absurd fear.

"Here is your ball. Be careful next time when you throw it." he said as softly as possible and tried to get the ball to the kid's hands. Before he was able to do it though, the kid suddenly started crying and quickly ran away from him without a glance back.

That was... weird?

It looked like the tiny girl suddenly saw a ghost or something. Was the child scared?

Wait, was the child scared of... him?

Well, at least he now has a good answer to his question.

With a big, tired exhale, he put a ball gently down on the grass and lay down back under a tree again. He was honestly little angry that child was scared of him just by a mere sight, but it was to be expected. He knows he doesn't look very nice or sympathetic, and that he has the aura of a villain. Aizawa had come to terms with it long before as how people saw him, but it still didn't hurt any less.

At times like this, he always thinks about his dearest friend Oboro. If he would accept who he had become or if he would advise him on how to get out of this problem. Oboro was something like a compass to him, and now it is gone.

Oboro, if you were here, what would you do? With what crazy idea would you come up with?

Oh buddy, can't you at least send me a sign from up there?

As if on cue, just as he was about to close his eyes again and rest, he heard a tree branch above him snap and a mysterious boy was suddenly falling down on his chest. At the last second, he tried to soften the fall with his hands, but it still didn't hurt any less.

Shit. How could he not register the child earlier up there? He is one of the best villains out here and he can't even feel the presence of a child?

As he slowly tried to stand up and get into a better position, the green-haired child started talking to him in a panic and waving his hands in front of him nervously. He tried to reassure the boy that he was okay, but the child wouldn't let him speak until he put his hand over his mouth.

"I am alright kid, so please just calm down." He really didn't have the mood to handle another scared child. One per day was enough.

He waited a few more seconds before he pulled his hand away from the boy's mouth to allow the child (or rather teenager, by the look of it) to calm down, but it didn't seem to help because the young one immediately started talking again.

"I'm really sorry again! I didn't mean to do it, if I can help you someho-"

"No l'm fine."

"B-But, if I can-"

"No, it's alright."

"But, I'm r-really so-"

He really started to lose his temper now. He was of course surprised the boy cared about him and didn't instantly run away, but the amount of work and the thing with Hizashi was already enough on his shoulders.

"Kid, if you say that you are sorry one more time, I swear to you, I wouldn't be sorry, if i make you shut up by any means necessary."

There was definitely anger in his voice now, confirmed also by a boy's surprised body posture and shocked face. The child then immediately decided to close his mouth shut and fell silent. Shouta took this as his final sign that he needed to leave and began to pack his sleeping bag.

Before he could take more than ten steps, the child behind him called out again and quickly ran towards him.

What is with this kid? Why is he so persistent? Why is he not scared as everybody else?

He should probably ask him straight up because this running around the circles is no longer entertaining him.

"Ach, what now kid?"

"Please, take this."

And the said kid was now trying to give him a good amount of cash. If he better looked at him now, the boy really looked like a rich family kid by the clothes he wore. They were definitely from a famous, brand-new stores.

"What are you doing now kid?" He asked again, as he still didn't understand the teenager's intention.

"Giving you a m-money."

Yeah, he can see that...

"Why?"

"B-Because..."

The green-haired boy then instantly began to nervously play with his small fingers and looking everywhere, just not directly into his eyes, like he was trying to come up with a good idea why he was doing this.

If this is some kind of joke, he swears he will—

"I-I know how hard a life of a h-homeless man in a big town is, and because of that I am giving you some m-money I have near me. P-Please, buy some warm food, or new clothes, o-or just what you need and use them for your own good."

Wait...

What??!

The boy thinks he is... Homeless??? Does the job damage him so much that the boy thinks he doesn't have any money?!

What gave him that idea?

He didn't even realize he was frozen up by this answer for a whole 5 minutes until the rich-looking teenager decided to run away from him and away from a park.

"Oh sorry, I must go now! Have a nice day!"

"No, wait kid! It isn't like tha—"

But before he was able to finish the sentence and explain the embarrassing misunderstanding, the boy was already gone.

What a day...

Nope. Not a chance. He doesn't have a tiny guess how to work with kids.

They are all just problem children. He definitely needs his dark, hot coffee now...

------://////////:------

A few weeks after that unfortunate event in the park, Aizawa found himself in an old gasoline factory, where he had arranged to meet with the other strong members of the Alvis Taloons. They come here for an important meeting about tomorrow's attack on USJ at U.A. Hero High School to plan the exact steps to achieve their goal.

And their goal being momentous All Might.

A great figure who is loved by the whole world, but Shouta hates him to the core. One of the most fake and hideous heroes Aizawa has ever known. He of course knows this from his own terrible experiences, but also from the stories from other members of their team.

They planned this meeting to weaken him, or if possible, to destroy him because they need to act quickly, as the HPSC and the U.A. are becoming more and more powerful every second. They have to destroy at least one of their most powerful pillars, which is the omnipotent and famous number one hero, All Might.

Right now at this moment, there were five of them already prepared and waiting for the rest of the team plus their boss Rat-god, so they can start their fate-changing meeting.

"Does somebody know when the Rat-god is supposed to come?" asked his husband Hizashi, as he also came as additional reinforcement.

"I am not really sure. His last message I got from him was that he needs to check something important, so who knows what malicious surprise the boss is planning today?" said Tensei Lida, or under Alvis Taloons secret name Excidium, who was one of their fastest informants and the liable captain of a smaller group of Owlets and Fledglings in the southern part of the city.

"It's taking him longer than usual. I hope it's at least worth it because we've been waiting here for over twenty minutes and doing exactly nothing." said now Sekijiro Kan, also known as Blood Snatcher, who started to be more and more impatient from the endless waiting. He also as Excidium was an important captain of certain members of Alvis Taloons, but more in the northern parts of the city.

Aizawa honestly also started to be impatient, because he could lie on the couch with his two cats right now and not worry about anyone present, (only for his husband) but instead of that he is waiting here who knows how long for their boss, who doesn't care to show himself up at the agreed time.

There was something not playing right with Shouta, and it was starting to give him creepy goosebumps.

"I don't have a good feeling about this. Something smells bad here." He said it more loudly than he wanted, and of course one of his "best friends" needed to get under his skin and make his eye twitch.

"Oh, and what is it our Mister Crumpy? Should we be scared? Is your instincts whispering you something lovely again?"

How even Rat-god decided that Nemuri is a reliable member of theirs is still a mystery to him.

"Don't play with me Midnight, you know very well what I mean." Nemuri just laughed at him and started playfully wawing her hand in front of her face.

"But yes, of course, Shouta. Don't worry, I trust your instincts more than my ex-boyfriends."

How many times does he need to say this...

"As I said hundreds of times before, and as I am saying right now, don't say my name on our missions aloud. I am Eraserhead to you at the moment."

After his sentence, she started to laugh even lauder and with a smirk on her face surpassed once again his patience limit with her sly, devilish words.

"Oh yes, yes. How could I forget about that important statement, ERASERHEAD."

He really thinks that today is that special day when he's going to try out that stupid trick with his scarf where he strangles a person in the air on a lamp.

So why not try it immediately on one of his coworkers, right???

"Na, na, na, let's calm down, shall we? A better question is, did you ever even trust your ex-boyfriends before?" asked suddenly his husband Hizashi, who was already reading his thoughts telepathically and could tell that if he didn't stop this somehow, the final result would end with scarlet blood on the ground. And it of course wouldn't be his.

"Nope. Never ever. But it's so much fun to play with them." answered again Nemuri, who didn't feel ashamed by her answer and still playfully enjoyed everyone's attention on her.

But Shouta, on the other hand, had already enough of her show.

"I am going home."

"Wait, ha, ha, Eraser—"

Before she could stop him though, a mystic, purple portal appeared out of nowhere, surprising them all.

Shouta couldn't even react properly, and two red feathers instantly flew out of the portal, grabbed his coat, and forcefully smashed him through the wall, sending him flying outside in the air.

He could already feel a few bruises forming on his back, but even with that he knew he needed to act quickly, as he could assume that the attack directed towards him wouldn't end just with that.

He hardly cut the two feathers by his blades in half and fell down in a somersault onto the roof of the mentioned gasoline factory. He immediately got himself into the fighting stance and carefully observed his surroundings and everything that could be seen as unusual.

He expected for his teammates to come to check on him, but instead of that he heard a commotion a few meters away and his husband's screaming, so it dawned on him quickly that he was not fighting the battle alone.

Is this another villain group attack? Or hero attack? If yes, how could they find out about their secret meeting?! They've never done this before!

Is this some kind of trap to get him away from the others? Because if it is, he needs to go quickly to their side and hel—

Before he could finish his thoughts and return to where he came from, a red feather was aimed at him from the right side again approaching his chest at the speed of light. At the last second, (before the sharp, hard feather could make a hole in his chest) he managed to dodge and grab the pillar with his scarf so he could at least have a slightly better view of the surface.

He hardly tried to find the source of these ridiculously fast feathers, but it didn't take long and the subject started to show his presence by words alone.

"Wow, you really are cool Eraserhead. So the tales about your crazy abilities weren't a lie." said a mysterious, young voice whose location Aizawa still couldn't decipher. It was dark outside and there were only buildings around with no movement to catch with the eye at all.

"Who are you, and what do you want from us?" asked now Shouta, as he needed from the mysterious person to talk as much as possible so he could find their exact location and find out why this unexpected surprise was even happening.

Although it seems like it would be difficult for him to do it because the voice from before was heard from a higher position in the sky and sounded as if the person was probably moving through the air, so his best guess was that the mystical person was able to fly.

"Who am I? Mhm. How should I describe myself? Probably as the most handsome and beautiful bird in the sky who ensures peace on the streets and tries to make sure all the heroes deserve a proper day off?"

Aizawa knew instantly after that sentence who this mysterious person was, as there is only one person who could talk about himself so carelessly, but still radiate the aura of one of the most powerful and clever humans on earth.

And it was no other one, than the number 3 hero...

"Hawks..."

"Bingo! You got it on first try! Congratulations! So... where did we end before? Oh right, I remember now... The hide and seek game!"

While Hawks tried to distract Shouta from his next feather attacks, Aizawa already held two blades firmly in his hands and quickly activated his quirk. He knew the quirk wouldn't make much sense now since Shouta still didn't know where Hawks was or when he would show up, but there was still a chance that he could catch at least a glimpse of him.

The feathers started quickly coming at him in increasing numbers and Aizawa felt himself slowly losing control of the situation. The feathers acted as if they knew exactly where his next attack would come from and always tried to hit his weak points.

It occurred to him that Hawks must have with his mutant type of quirk also some sort of telekinetic quirk that helped him scan his surroundings and helped to control the feathers from distant places.

Great news. As if Hawks' flexibility and speed weren't enough.

If Hawks could at least show up so he could try if his theory is right, even though there may be a way how to get him out...

He decided to test his theory and "unintentionally" lose his control of his dodge and let a feather to pierce deeply into his right calf.

Shit! The feathers of Hawks are really pointy as hell!

"Starting to lose balance already? Come on Eraserhead, don't be a little chick and show me what you've really got." said Hawks very joyfully and instantly let more feathers fly towards a famous black villain.

The said black villain Aizawa Shouta started to get in a really miserable situation when blood was quickly flowing down from his calf and he could barely stand to avoid the other feathers.

Come on Hawks, catch into the trap already!

It took maybe ten more seconds to catch a glimpse of movement right above him, and it took even less when Hawks flew at the speed of lightning to knock him down and stand on his lying form on the roof. Hawks had two of his feathers crossed in X on his chest, which were only separated from him by his two blades, which were also crossed in the famous X position. The whole situation looked kind of ridiculous, but to get Shouta the plus point this is exactly what he wanted.

Gotcha little birdie!

He didn't even hesitate and activated his quirk. All the feathers around him stopped working and Shouta was able to use it to kick Hawks off from his body and tried to catch him in his white scarf.

However, he missed by a centimeter, and Hawks managed to take off by his wings (or what was left of them) a few meters away. They looked at each other like two cowboys in a wild western and waited who would make the first important move.

It was Hawks at the end who broke the tense silence.

"You stopped my feathers. I am surprised. It was told to me you can't erase a mutant quirks so this is kind of unexpected. But what to expect from a big villain like Eraserhead, right? Ya know, you would be a really good hero if you would choose the other side."

The number 3 hero said it as if he would immediately switch sides now, but he knew better and that's why he said his next words confidently and from his whole heart.

"That won't ever happen."

"I was thinking that you would say that."

Not even a second pass after their little conversation and another fight broke out between them again. Shouta mostly used his blade and combat training against Hawks, but thanks to the hero's agility, Hawks still managed to dodge him or fly away. With the hole in his right calf now, Shouta was aware his speed wasn't the best, but he still tried to end the fight as quickly as possible.

Before they could get into the deep fight though, the voice from his secret transmitter started suddenly working and unclear words were heard from the other side of the machine.

"Eraserhead! Rat-god here! I am sending you the closest help! It should come in a minute! Get from up there with others as quickly as you can and get to our main base in the Red district. That's an order!"

What?!

Now the mouse decided to show that he is even alive?! And what does he mean by sending other help?

It didn't take long and his inner question was answered by a teenager's loud and angry call with sparks of explosion as a bonus.

"Dieeee! I am going to blow you to shreds!!!"

Perfect...

From all Rat-god could send, it had to be these crazy kids.

Their tense fight with Hawks was then immediately interrupted by a strong explosion, which separated them on each side of the roof of the building. To his right side came a red-haired kid who was able to harden his skin as a rock, and to his front came a blonde-haired kid who was the cause of the big explosion, who based on the fire and force he used, didn't even think about the consequences.

He wanted to say at that moment that he was glad that Rat-god sent him some help, but he definitely wasn't, because Rat-god decided to send him for help kids who were still in training! Why did his boss think this was a good idea?! And by the look one of them couldn't even keep his hormonal swings under control!

"Stay back! Don't mess in this fight! I have everything under control!" He said really hardly and loudly so it would be clear for their teenager's foolish brains that they don't have to interrupt the fight and just stay in the background position as an emergency force. But of course by their confident and resonant answers, it seems they understood the exact opposite.

"Sir! We came here by an order from the Rat-god who told us to help! You can definitely trust us sir, as we are a reliable force to serve your command hand!"

"I won't just sit here and look at how you play with a birdie guy! I am going to destroy him and grill that red chicken for a dinner!"

"Wow, Eraserhead, are all the members in your group of villains so energetic and chaotic? I really didn't take you for a funny guy, but it looks like you are surprising me even more."

Can he just... die now?

And why did Hawks even mix up to their conversation?! Never mind, he's not paid enough for this...

When this stuff is over, he'll demand a bigger payout from that cheeky mouse in an instant!

"Listen to me, brats! You will try to hold Hawks back as much as you can while I use my quirk on him. Don't go to him any closer than necessary! In the meantime, I will try to come up with an escape plan. Do you understand?!"

After his clear and mandatory sentence, the blonde-haired kid already had to do the exact opposite of what he demanded and attacked a hero with all of the power he got.

"I am not a brat but a Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight, you got it! And you don't have to tell me what to do! I can do this by myself!"

Hawks of course wasn't just some basic pro-hero and knew how to fight with quirks which were fire basic and his biggest weakness, so when the blonde-haired kid attacked him after his loud scream of dominance, he immediately backed out a little from a shot with his wings and gave a returned blow to the blonde's head with hardened feather in his right hand.

"Need a little more training for that hot guy." said Hawks right before he prepared to knock the explosion teenager out. He almost succeeded, if in the last second the other red-haired kid didn't decide to cross his arms in front of his friend and stopping his hard hit thanks to his strengthening quirk.

"Don't worry sir, we've got this! Just try to come up with something as fast as you can!"

Well, Shouta didn't have any chance just to trust the red-haired kid's words, so he could come up in the meantime with some solutions for how to get out of this situation with the least possible injuries.

And of course to keep kids still alive.

When he looked around, his eye immediately caught on an old-looking barrel, which was placed near a wall of the factory on the ground and had a mark similar to those for flammable and explosive substances.

Bingo!

While he grabbed a large barrel with one end of his scarf, he grabbed two energetic teenagers with the other end and got them out of the Hawk's reach. When he had the children in safety right next to him, he gave an order for blonde-haired kid to use his quirk. The explosive kid immediately knew what to do and used his explosion to try to hit the barrel that was already flying towards Hawks with strong explosive substances.

Hawks meanwhile flew out of the range of the barrel out of caution so he could be prepared for anything from the villians. What he wasn't prepared for though, was for the flames to spread around quickly and separate them a few meters away from each other.

Because of the large, spreading flames, Hawks couldn't risk using his feathers, so Aizawa and the two children who he had tied hardly close to him had a chance to escape quickly into the shadows of the large buildings.

When they were a few kilometers away, Aizawa could finally breathe and got from himself a deep, tired exhale. He internally asked himself once again, why did he even decide to do this job and why he didn't want kids in the first place at all.

------://////////:------

"I need an answers and right now!" Shouta said so angrily that even Satan himself couldn't hide from him in caves of the mighty hell.

He was now in the main office of the Red District building, where he and the other main members of the organization sat on either side of the table with his amazing boss Rat-god right at the end.

He couldn't wait one more minute to hear about answers from a mouse, which would give him a good explanations of why everything so suddenly went to shit.

"Calm down, Aizawa. There's no point in dwelling on what has already happened. We need to think more about steps to prevent it from happening in the future. We managed to get through this problematic situation rightly, and for that I am proud at all of you." said Rat-god in self-defense so Shouta could stay calm, but oh the mouse forget he won't be caught by his manipulation words so easily.

"Stay calm? Stay calm! Pre heroes suddenly attacked us out of nowhere and knew our exact location! This is not a situation where we can stay calm! The Blood Snatcher had twisted fingers from a fight with pro-hero Kamui Woods! I myself had a hole in my right calf and the consequences could have been even worse! It was just our luck that all of us could run away from that surprise attack!"

The anger was boiling inside Shouta like a geyser now, waiting for his permission to allow hot fumes to get out. Everyone in the room didn't even try to stop his outburst, as they knew what he was saying was right. Hizashi tried to at least help him by pressing his hand as reassurance on a table, but he himself knew he wouldn't calm down until his boss gave him a clear answers.

The mentioned boss at his outburst of anger just closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and began to talk again.

"I know, Aizawa-san, but that was why I didn't show up at the meeting. I received information from my secret sources that the heroes called a secret meeting together for some event. I called in nearby reinforcements just to be sure that we have enough power if something unexpected happened. And I'm glad I acted on my instincts."

He knew he should be glad that his boss called for additional help, but why didn't the boss let them know sooner that something was happening? Why did he send the kids still in training on the attack with the pro heroes? And why—

"Also, before you run at me with other questions in your mind, let me firstly explain everything, alright? Would you all be so kind and let us here with Aizawa-san for 5 minutes alone?" Rat-god then nodded with his head to the door for others to slowly depart from the room. It was the click of the closing door that made his boss to place his paws on the table and continue his statement.

"Firstly. Let's discuss what was the cause of this attack. With my biggest predictions and possibilities, which I have been running in my mind for the last 2 hours, I think that U.A. Hero High School added a new support to their reinforcements. Or rather, one or more of their new students had the talent to track down our settlement."

Aizawa didn't really think the mouse would bring that up as a possibility, so he asked his boss again if what he heard from a mouse was truly right and not just a concussion from his last fight.

"You think a student was the cause of the sudden attack?"

The cheeky mouse just smirked under his whiskers at his question and continued in their started dialogue.

"That's right. There wasn't any big change in their actions or operations in the last few months. The only big thing that changed was their admission of new students to their ranks. With an 8,49% probability, it is possible that they got a new strong reinforcement in the form of their new student, but of course right now it's just a basic theory. I will try to hack through the new database of students of U.A. and find out who might be a possible candidate to fit this theory. The Sport Festival broadcast on TV will certainly also be our confirming point whether my theory is correct or not, but first of all, this is not all what I wanted to discuss with you, Aizawa."

Shouta definitely didn't like the determinate look on the white creature in front of him, which always came up with some lunatic ideas out of his sleeve, but he challenged his guts and with a confidence still in him asked directly what his boss really wanted.

"Oh, and what's more to discuss here?"

"As you could have experienced on your own skin in the fight with kids against Hawks, you could say they are not quite as disciplined yet as they should be. They need someone to guide them on their path to mastering their better strength and teamwork. Someone who is experienced enough to take them by the right hand. They need someone like you, Aizawa. They need a teacher."

When the mouse finished explaining, Shouta swore that if he drank dark coffee from his cup right now, he would immediately spit it out of his mouth.

How can his maniac boss possibly imagine him as a teacher?! Him! A man who absolutely isn't able to work with kids! A man who kids are scared of him! It just doesn't make sense!

"You can't be serious! You want me to be a teacher to these two kids?!"

He prays to everyone up there (whoever is there) that this is just a funny joke, because if it's not a joke, then he will probably—

"Not just these two kids, but around 14 more. We have a high number of Owlets cadets who need a guidance to become proper Dominants in a few years. I believe in your power and right choices, Aizawa. I chose you, because I don't trust anybody as much as you to manage this work. So, will you accept my request?"

Shouta knew he should say no. Anyone in his place would have said no, but then he remembered the sad and disappointed look his husband had on him when he told him he was incapable of working with children and that he didn't have the courage to have a child on his own. For some unexplainable reason, that image hurt him very much, so he decided to face his primitive fear and say the words he would surely regret in the nearby tragetic future.

"Okay."

Deep inhale, exhale...

"When will I need to start my first class?"

Notes:

So it looks like even in this universe our Aizawa will become a teacher. One of the thinks that can't be changed XD. Also sorry for a late update but who knew an inflamation of wisdom teeth can cause so much troubles? Anyway, I am not a really quirk analyst like Izuku, so the fight between the Hawks and Eraserhead is just my imagination. I don't know how the real fight between them would really be. So have a nice day and see ya next time : ).

Chapter Text

Midoriya didn't even know how, and he had already spent almost two weeks on U.A. grounds as D.E.C.U. student. He was currently attending his rescue class with his new uniform, where he would be assigned to a student from the Hero course who would be his partner for the next few lessons.

His uniform looked like an emerald green scout uniform, consisting of a short-sleeved shirt and long pants with large pockets containing small research aids. He also had something like a gas metal mask over his mouth and a crossed-out rat circle on his back, which was meant to symbolize him as a deratizational protester against the white rat boss of Alvis Tallons.

Izuku understood the persistent hate against the white rat boss because of his behavior towards the goverment, but what he didn't understand was why they had to put all their disgust in his course name or his uniform. It was stupid and they could come up with better ideas in the form of tactics or plans on how to destroy him rather than show him by the clothes they wore that they loathe him so much.

Not a really good way to spend time if you would ask Izuku, but that wasn't his business at all.

Right now he had to pray that when he would choose the number of his future partner, it would at least be a heroic student who wouldn't despise him so much because of his weirdness. His choice of number depended on the peace of this lesson, so he decided that he had to give it his all.

He put his right hand into a blue box, shook the papers inside properly with his eyes closed, and carefully selected one of the twenty papers.

His homeroom teacher took it from him, looked at the information inside, and said the name aloud.

"Number 9, Todoroki Shouto."

Shouto...

Todoroki...

Well... shit...

How can he have so much bad luck these days that he ends up with the famous fire Todoroki family at every occasion?

Is his life making fun of him with popcorn in his hand? Because if yes, it definitely needs to stop!

It looked like his sensei didn't even register his messed-up turmoil in his head, as he continued in his explanation of today's activity.

"Right now we will have a lesson about the Trial of Rescue. We will take a lesson here at the Unforeseen Simulation Joint Facility, a practical training area that is designed to simulate any kind of possible accident or disaster that can happen in the future. Your task will be to analyze the best rescue method that the hero we have assigned to you will have to perform and complete the mission." After that, Touya-sensei exhaled deeply, as if he wasn't in the mood to engage with them anymore, and said his last words without a tiny piece of enthusiasm.

"Try to work together and good luck."

Yeah, yeah... good luck, good luck, he heard that before....

"Hello. Nice to meet you. I am Todoroki Shouto."

Izuku might have had a heart attack if he wasn't used to his father's sudden loud screams in his home, but he couldn't say he wasn't close to it right now when a boy with a strangely colored head and a scar on his face suddenly appeared behind him and greeted him with an unusual, nonchalant voice.

H-How did he even get behind m-me?! Is he a n-ninja or something!? Wait... T-Todoroki? This is Todoroki?! The youngest child of the T-Todoroki family, who he would work with for the next few lessons?! Oh my g-god, if he is already so good in stealth right now, he wouldn't even n-need him! A-And why is he so t-tall?!

"M-Midoriya Iz-uku, and nice to m-meet you too..." was the only words that fell out from his mouth, as he was still in shock from the sudden appearance of the famous Todoroki member.

He would be shocked for maybe another ten more minutes if Todoroki, who was standing right in front of him with an indescribable poker face, didn't decide to get him back to reality by his unemotional question.

"Will you not take analyzing machines to help you as everybody else?"

Izuku didn't even register when he was in his trance that his whole class was already choosing their best machines to help them analyze and to figure out the best methods and routes. He knew that if he chose from the machines, it would make his work faster and easier, but when he looked at them closer and saw the creator's mark, he knew he needed to decline immediately.

"I don't need them." Todoroki gave him a slightly judgmental look at that but decided not to say anything and just continued by his side to the designated place where their rescue should have taken place.

The rescue with Todoroki was surprisingly smooth going and easy to procedure. Todoroki was really talented and with his ice-fire quirk they managed to get their job done in record time. He didn't regret at the end that he chose Todoroki as his hero.

The ice-fire boy was definitely one of the quietest Izuku had ever met, but he was still respectful, listening to his advice and not interrupting him in the middle of explaining. He even shared ideas with him on how to improve their rescue tactics, which Midoriya greatly appreciated.

He wasn't so happy in a long time, but eventually it had to end because his homeroom teacher decided to tell him that the principal of this school wanted to speak with him about something substantial.

"P-Principal wants to speak with me? Am I-I... Am I in trouble?" He asked with a completely undisguised tremor in his voice when he heard this unexpected news. His head was already spinning with the thought of what the principal of the popular hero school might even want from nobody like him.

W-Why do I need to talk with the principal? Did I do something bad? D-Did I not do my lesson r-right?! Wait... Did they find out that I am quirk—

"You should definitely get your muttering under control, Midoriya. The enemy can use it against you. But to answer your question, I don't think you are in trouble, just get to the U.A. roof and let me know when you're done with him. He should be there by now."

And with that, Touya-sensei just walked out from his side and joined other students who still didn't finish their work at the USJ.

Meanwhile Izuku exhaled deeply from the tension and slapped his hands over his face again and again to remind himself not to say what he was thinking out loud.

I almost told my teacher that I am quirkless!!! Omgaaaat that would be so bad! Come on Izuku, be more careful damn it! Your life depends on it!

Stupid!

Stupid!

When he finally told himself a million times how not to let his mind and heart talk loudly in front of everybody, he headed to the roof of U.A. Hero High School, as his teacher had told him to do earlier.

At first it was a little hard to find a way, but eventually he reached his destination, where a person on the other side of the roof was already waiting for him. What surprised him most was that the principal he was supposed to meet was someone he thought he would never meet, even in his beyond-possibility dreams.

"Hello. You must be Midoriya Izuku. I am the principal of this school, Yagi Toshinori, or you can also know me as—"

"All might." Izuku didn't even realize he had interrupted the most famous hero in all of Japan. All he could think about was how his childhood hero was standing right in front of him and somehow knew his name.

Midoriya has long known that this is not his favorite hero since a certain awful incident, but his inner child still screamed at him that yes, this is him, and now he is standing right in front of you.

His idol also noticed that Izuku was being controlled by his childish self and that he had no words to be found, so he decided to continue with his popular smile on his face and give Midoriya a gentle come back.

"That's right. I hope I am not taking from your precious time, young man, but I wanted to talk with you about something important."

That was definitely something that was able to get Izuku back, as when the word "important" is mentioned in his life, it's always nothing good.

"I-Important?" He asked cautiously as his fingers began to move on their own and nervously played with his uniform.

"That's right. You see... Dabi told me how you perfectly analyzed the villain video and read out the information in details. Your quirk must be really strong."

Ha, ha ha...Yeah, his quirk. It's definitely his quirk...

"Yeaah. It's really... U-Useful..."

"I can see that, and that's why I called for you today. You know I would like for us to meet more frequently, at least once a week here on the roof or at my office, so we can use that quirk of yours for a better good. You want to become someone beneficial for the future, right?"

His disappointment that his childhood idol was also looking just at his quirk as everyone else was obvious to every basic eyes, but it seemed like his great hero ignored it and smiled even more. Like he had no idea about emotions of people at all. It was really weird for Izuku because everyone described All Might as a mighty god with the biggest heart and smile, but he started to consider the truth of this statement in deeper way.

Something didn't sit right with Midoriya, but right now he ignored it as he needed to answer All Might's question first and ask an important question too.

"Yes. That's right. I-I want to become at least... s-someone. But I actually w-wanted to ask a question too..."

Deep breath in, deep breath out. You can do this Izuku. It's just your biggest childish hero from the past and the most famous hero of all time... What's so terrible he can tell you that will make you feel so bad, right?!

"Can I-I b-become ... Is it-t possible for m-me to..."

(...become a hero even if I don't have a quirk, so I can make my father finally happy?...)

"...become a hero too?!"

For a few seconds there was an empty silence. Everything around seemed to have stopped living and only the wind fanned him and waved their hair in the air. It was as if the planet decided to not turn around anymore. Izuku had never experienced such silence before, and it gradually began to unsettle him.

It took another minute before everything came back to normal, and when the great hero finally put that indescribable smile on his face and said his final words aloud for Izuku's heart.

"But yes, of course you can. There's a way how students can transfer from the other courses to the Hero course, you know? The only thing you need to do is show your powers at the Sports Festival to the people and let them acknowledge you. But from that little time I know you, I believe that you can become a hero."

Hero...

He can become a hero, so his father is finally proud...

Not because he wants it, but because his family and his status need it...

Even though the question he asked wasn't the most honest one, and the answer of All Might wasn't the most sincere either, he got for himself at least a piece of hope.

A hope, which he will use to the fullest.

"T-Thank you, All Might. I-It really means so much to me." He bowed to his hero from the past and, with determination in his eyes, returned to an upright position and spoke his final words with radiating confidence as never before.

"It would be an honor to work with you, so please, show me how to become a proper hero like you!"

------://////////:------

"Okay, so I need to write down that the green-haired girl's quirk is able to..."

Time flew by, and Midoriya was already recording the fights of his classmates and their assigned heroes in his sketchbook at the Sports Festival. In the 2nd round they were supposed to go against his classmate Koda and his assigned hero Ibara.

Since the D.E.C.U. course is included in the U.A. now, the Sports Festival has changed with that around 180 degrees. When final matches were held between the hero students, it was not basic one-on-one fights as before, but two-on-two with two D.E.C.U. course students and two Hero course students.

The higher-ups thought it was a good idea, because in the last round it was usually just the Hero course students who got so far away, so they decided to assign them their D.E.C.U. partners so they could get used to fighting with them from the very beginning. Izuku and his classmates could then join in the fight and use their quirks as well, since they hadn't had the chance to join the entire game before.

Todoroki also took a liking to him for some unknown reason and said he wanted to team up with him for more classes and also for the Sport Festival. Izuku of course didn't mind at all because he had a great time working with Todoroki too.

But when he thought about it, where even was he no—

"Midoriya?"

"A-Aaah!!!"

"Are you alright?"

W-What was the saying? Speak of the devil? Yeah, it was definitely something like that...

"I-I am fine. You just s-scared me... D-Did you need something, T-Todoroki?"

Todoroki frowned slightly at his question and raised one of his eyebrows, as if disappointed by what Izuku had said, even though Midoriya had no idea what he had done wrong.

"You know that I already told you that you can call me Shouto, right?"

Ouch, and here is the reason on the golden plate.

"I-I am sorry, I f-forgot. I will t-try my best next time, Todo-.. I mean S-Shouto."

The mentioned red and white haired boy just exhaled tiredly at his answer, smirked with his tiny smile subtly, and continued speaking.

"Well, we are supposed to discuss together our tactic against our next opponent, so I was thinking we can do that now?"

Oh, how could he forget even this!!!

"Oh yes. I-I am sorry. I was just thinking about t-tactics against the others, and I got lost inside m-myself... Ha, ha, ha, but it's not like I'm ignoring y-you on purpose. No, no, no... I would never d-do that... Y-You know what, it's o-okay, you must think I'm weird, and t-that's fine. If I-I were you, I would think s-so too and—

"Midoriya. I don't think you are a weirdo."

"W-What..."

Izuku Midoriya.

The biggest rumble speaker was once again stopped by the others.

But right now it was different, it felt kinder. It felt so nice for Izuku. And if the next words, which came from a Hero course student didn't melt his heart even more, he didn't know what else could.

"I said I don't think you're a weirdo. In fact, I think you're a really smart guy. If our collaboration at USJ was anything to go by. You shouldn't think so low of yourself, you know?"

He will cry...

He will definitely cry... W-Wait, no he is already crying... Why is h-he doing this to him!?

"T-Thank you so much, S-Shouto... I-I will try n-not too...

And Shouto Todoroki.

The only friend he had after a long time was just amusingly shaking his head to the sides and clapping him awkwardly on his shoulder, as if he also didn't know how to show somebody proper affection but still tried. And Izuku really appreciated the nice gesture.

Okay, he needs to stop crying! He needs to show him that he can be a reliable friend too!

"O-Okayy, so firstly we should aim for our first opponent, who is Ibara from the Hero course and after that for Koda from my class, and start with your fire quirk first to use it as..."

------://////////:------

After that they continued together in their plan on how to weaken and neutralize their opponents. The fight was really quick and thought out, so he and Shouto didn't even break a sweat. With his clever ideas of how to use Todoroki's fire against Ibara, he didn't even have to get involved in the fight at all.

"Midoriya, that was a really great plan. We finished the fight in the recording five minutes. I really didn't know we could use my fire quirk like that. You're a really smart guy, aren't you?" said Shouto in a slightly more emotional voice than usual, and smiled at him with the corner of his mouth.

"Well, it was mostly you. I didn't really need to help because you managed to get them both alone."

And it was true. Izuku didn't actually do anything, he just stood aside and watched how Shouto got Koda behind the white line and knocked out Ibara with his fire.

"But it was thanks to your premeditated plan that I was able to get them both out of the game. You should really not underestimate yourself, Midoriya."

Well, maybe he shouldn't, but it's still hard to admit that his ideas are useful.

That he is useful...

"I-I just think that I didn't do pretty much a-anything when I was just standing on a sideline and you instead did e-everything by yourself."

Ugh, maybe he really should have done more, maybe he could have helped out somewhere, maybe he could have been even bett—

"That's not true, Midoriya... And you know it."

After that sentence the sparks in Shouto's eyes definitely make Izuku change his mind. They were so shiny and full of faith that even he couldn't underestimate them. Shouto really believed him, and his eyes were just enough to make him realize that what he meant was true.

But in the end, he couldn't look at them for long, because Todoroki decided to turn his head away from him and look at something else in the distance, as if he was now questioning himself.

"If you don't mind, Midoriya... I actually wanted to ask you something else."

Ask him s-something? B-But why with that sad and uncertain face?

"Y-Yes, of course. What d-did you want to a-ask?" Izuku tried to sound as if he didn't care, but his voice probably still sounded tense. He knew he wasn't the best at pretending and because of that, he already started to think over how to improve his acting skills in the future.

"You know, I noticed already at USJ during our rescue classes that you avoided the machines to help analyze the situation. I know you have the talent and quirk not to have them, but I believe it would make your job easier, and... Why don't you use them when you have a chance? Why don't you use them like everyone els—"

"That's difficult."

Izuku didn't want to interrupt Todoroki. He really didn't. But it was his inner fear that made the words come out of his mouth.

"Difficult?...Why?" Shouto asked him once again uncertainly and crossed his arms on his chest as a gesture of stability and that he had no plans to go anywhere in the future until Izuku got him the answer he wanted.

Izuku knew that he needed to be honest. Todoroki deserved to know the truth, but it was still so hard. He still couldn't find an easy way how to get his words out of his mouth. But he needed to try. Needed to damage at least one of his many accumulated walls.

"Because... t-to tell you the truth... these m-machines are from my father's company, which he sells all over the world to support h-heroes. But before that they were my inventions. M-My ideas... But my father stole them and started manufacturing them all over the w-world with his expensive materials and with the help of money from his people. S-Since then, I have given up on them because they were no longer m-mine... "

Izuku then took a deep inhale of breath and began to continue in his outpouring of feelings, which he hasn't told anyone in a long time.

"I-I would say that my relationship with my f-father is not the best, but... I mean... L-Like I said, it's difficult... And I don't want to use my father's m-machines for my own betterment. I would h-hate myself for it. I just basically don't want to be like h-him..."

Todoroki just stood there motionless with his eyes closed after his eloquent speech, as if trying to decipher his words in his head carefully and into deeper details. He stayed like that for a few more seconds before he confidently asked Midoriya a thoughtful question once again.

"But it's still your ideas, no?"

"Yes, but they aren't mine anym—"

"So I don't think it can be changed, Midoriya. I know your father made them, but that doesn't mean you don't know how they work best or how to reform and improve them. It's your ideas. Not your father's."

This time Todoroki interrupted him, but he wasn't angry. No. Not at all... Izuku was actually glad because he had never thought about it like that before. He had always assumed that what was his was automatically his father's. That it belonged to his father as much as he belonged to him. But maybe that wasn't so true in the end after all.

"Todoro—"

"Please, all present competitors, prepare for the next round! I repeat, all current competitors, prepare for the next round!" said a female announcer's voice suddenly, interrupting Izuku's thoughts. Todoroki on the other hand was already moving and walked towards the big entrance of the arena, where the next match awaited them with their new competitors.

"Let's go for number one, Midoriya."

With such powerful words full of faith and belief from ice-fire boy, it wasn't long before Izuku began to quickly move as well. Thanks to his friend's advice, he didn't even realize how it affected him so much until he ran after his powerful friend with a new perspective on certain things and with a new weight of specific machine he now held tightly in his right hand.

------://////////:------

They won! They really won!

And now he can be transferred to the Hero course and study with Shouto so his father can be happy and proud of him! Yuhuuuu!

Did his luck finally got on his side now?

"Midoriya shonen." said a mighty and glorious All Might behind a corner of the stadium and gestured with his finger for Izuku to go to his side.

"Come here for a word." And so Midoriya did. He quickly told Todoroki that he would be gone for 5 minutes, to which he just nodded in agreement slightly, and also went to see his father Endeavor to have a few words with him after their victory.

All Might then took him to the back of the stadium, where he leaned against the wall, crossed his arms over his chest, and plastered a frown on his face.

But why is All Might looking at him so disappointed? They won, didn't they? So why is he looking at him like that?

It didn't take long, and All Might dropped his opinion on what his resentment really meant right to Izuku's uncertain face.

"You know you disappointed me, Midoriya shonen... I expected more from you. Just standing on the sidelines and watching others fight for you doesn't make you a hero. That's not how a real hero behaves."

But he didn't just stand on the line! He helped! He was there and...

Wait... What did he really do?

Did he do something right? He knew Todoroki told him that it was thanks to his smart brain that they managed to win all the fights, but... others obviously didn't know that. People in the whole stadium and who were also looking at him through TV didn't know that. All Might didn't know that and...

He really is useless, isn't he...

"By your expression I can see you understand how bad you looked Midoriya. You were the only D.E.C.U. who didn't go into the action. Like this, you can't be transferred to the Hero course any time soon, and I think you're well aware of that."

"Yes, sir."

And it wouldn't make sense if Izuku didn't. He knew 100% that he had failed completely, and All Might knew it too. And if his subconscious was right, his father already knew it too.

"Good. I still see potential in you, young man, so we'll meet once a week as we discussed before to at least make a better person from you. You don't disagree with that, do you?"

"No..."

"Okay. See you later then."

With that, All Might left towards the exit, leaving only filthy dust and Izuku behind. Midoriya didn't last long in that place either, and out of disappointment in himself, he decided to quickly run away and not even wait for his medal to be awarded in front of everybody eyes.

CRASH!

"Midoriya?!" said suddenly the only person standing in his way, who he unexpectedly bumped into. Todoroki tried to stop him and get from him some explanation for his sudden change of mood, but Izuku wasn't physically and even mentally able to do that, so he pushed Shouto's firm hands that were trying to steady him aside, and continued on his way to his home.

"Not now Todoroki... I-I am... I am sorry."

From behind, he could still hear his friend's panicked shouts for him to come back and to calm down, but he simply couldn't hear them properly. The only thing he knew was that he needed to run away until he miraculously found himself back in that abandoned and lonely home he had hated so many times before and cry under the covers of his sheets until he couldn't cry a single tear more.

------://////////:------

When Izuku finally came back to his apartment and the elevator opened once again with a "Ding" sound of the bell on the 20th floor, he instantly saw his father standing in the living room in front of the big expensive TV with his hands clasped behind his back, and with a grimace on his face that could kill a person just by a mere sight. The only thing he could hear from his father's cold mouth without turning around was a sentence that always made his stomach turn inside out and made his skin 30 shades paler.

"You know what's coming, Izuku. You have been a bad boy for a really long time now. Get to the door in an instant!

"But father I-I—"

"No excuses! Door! Now!"

Izuku tried to change his father's mind many times before in the past, but nothing ever worked out. No matter how hard he tried to prove to his father that he was not the biggest disappointment in history, he always got even worse punishment that was planned for him, and therefore, with his eyes closed and his whole body trembling, he decided to obediently reach the massive bathroom door, where his father had already walked out to.

"Get your fingers on the frame." said his only living parent with malice and venom in his voice, whom Izuku would probably hate for as long as he would live in this tragic and pathetic world.

In the end, Midoriya grabbed the thick frame with a shaking hand, and hoped it would end as soon as possible. What he didn't expect, however, was that for his father's satisfaction it wasn't enough.

"All of them!" His father then grabbed his other hand on the doorframe, reached the large wooden door with his right hand, and with a devilish expression on his face, slammed the door hard and as fast as he could.

BANG!

Izuku then felt ony painful agony as he lay on the cold floor in immense pain while his fingers slowly turned to a dark purple color.

For Izuku, even his home was not a safe place, so when his great pain finally became bearable after a few hours of non-stop crying, he amateurishly bandaged his fingers as best as he could and immediately got to his feet again, so he could escape the house to somewhere, where nobody could finally find his presence hateful or unuseful. To anywhere, where he woudn't have to see his father's eyes.

He ran like this for a long time without stopping, until he accidentally bumped into someone once again, for a second time that day. However, instead of shouting or hurting him, the person politely asked him what happened, and even called him by a strange nickname.

"Are you alright, little listener?"

What Izuku didn't know at that time was that this person would be one of the many who would change his life completely and probaly also in a better way.

Chapter Text

Today, Hizashi Yamada expected a normal day as always.

He would slowly wake up and take a proper shower. Make a delicious breakfast for both of them and go to his radio station to announce new news for their Alvis Taloons members. Maybe do some basic tasks that the Rat-got orders him to do. Then go to the Cat Cafe and chat with Nemuri and Hitsohi for around an hour, and finally enjoy an evening with his husband by watching a nice Disney movie.

Not whatever was this.

"You are going to be a teacher today... For a bunch of kids.

"Not only for today."

His husband was washing his face in front of a sink in a bathroom with an expression like what he said was nothing, while he was leaning against the frame of their white door and couldn't quite wrap his head around what his husband was even talking about. It really didn't make sense after everything they were discussing together these last few months and made him question even his own sanity.

"... Is this some kind of joke, because if yes, it's definitely not funny."

Maybe his husband hit his head somewhere??? He had the evening shift tonight, so it was possible... He really should have talked with Rat-god before about cutting his husband's hours, because it's ruining his mind now and making him talk nonsense about—

"I know what you are thinking about, but I assure you it's not like that and that you should stop."

His husband was looking at him with amusement plastered on his face. He slowly walked over to him from the sink to the door, tucked a strand of his blonde hair that he had tied in a messy bun behind his ear, and whispered a gentle words to him in a low, husky voice.

"You're overthinking too much."

It would have seemed like a very sexy and romantic moment for both of them if Hiazshi wasn't so out of it right now. All he could think about was whether his husband was going crazy from all of his work or if he started to be delusional from some kind of drug he didn't even know he used.

"But love, this doesn't sound like you! You want to teach around 20 kids? That sounds impossible even for you! You said that you aren't sure with one around and now you are telling me that you will teach a lot of more? If you would be on my side, what would you think?!"

He didn't even register when he put both of his hands in panic on Shouta's cheeks, until his husband took them slowly down with his own and squeezed them tightly in assurance.

"I know what I said, and I am aware of what I am going to do. First of all, I want to try. Not because of Rat-god or some random kids, but because of me. If I can't manage a bunch of kids, how do I want to call myself a leader?"

Well, that was true... But it still didn't make sense! Why so suddenly? Why after all those hesitations and rejections? Why did his Shouta suddenly want to work with kids so much that—

Wait...

Is this about...

"Sho, if it's because of our talk, you know you don't have to force your—"

"As I said before, this is for me. Not because of anything else. It's my decision and I want to keep it that way."

Before he could convince Shouta that he didn't have to do it just for him and that he understood, his husband didn't hesitate for a second and managed to cut his unfinished sentence with his "rational logistic".

He then also stubbornly kissed him on the forehead and went to change into his villain costume. By the time Hizashi had come to terms with why he was still standing in the doorway of their bathroom, his husband was already half-dressed in his all-black outfit near their entrance door and reminded him once again why his Friday won't be normal as always.

"Anyway, I need to go already. Rat-god wants for us to meet him at six in the evening in his office, so we will see each other there."

Already??!

Well... here is going their breakfast together in the waste...

Why is today so weird???

It seemed that his Shouta saw his mixed-up thoughts in his mind clear as a mirror, and so when he quickly finished his dressing, he slowly crept up right in front of him and gently lifted his head so that his gaze was on the same level as his own. When Hizashi finally looked into his husband's sincere eyes, his love of his life just smiled and said their last goodbye words that they say to each other almost all the time.

"If I am the monster that protects you from darkness..."

It was something like their ritual, where Shouta starts first and he finishes it second. They say these words usually when they go on some dangerous missions or won't see each other for a longer time, but sometimes they say these words to each other just to strengthen their love, which Hizashi always gladly reciprocrates.

"...I will be your star that shines the brightest."

When Hizashi finished his part with more peacefulness than before, his love grinned even more and gave him a warm and passionate goodbye kiss on the lips. Before Shouta turned around and walked away from a door, he took a sandwich from a table that Hizashi made in the morning and said in a sarcastic voice a message that needed to be sent exactly to two specific humans in a certain cafe.

"Also, don't forget to tell Nemuri and Hitoshi to finally stop feeding my cats so much. I want them to have at least three more lives left each."

This sentence didn't stop Hizashi's laugh from escaping his mouth and returning the gesture by saying a nice goodbye with a kind wawe of his hand.

"Ha, ha, ha, of course I will. Love you! Bye!"

After that his husband just smirked slightly with the corners of his mouth and left their tiny apartment through a door.

He will never stop loving this man, will he?

No...

Probably not in thousands of other galaxies either.

If he wants to at least keep his day as normal as always, he should start to dress up as well.

He doesn't want to miss his radio job and nice coffee in his favorite cafe, as today he would gladly accept one with more sugar than usual!

------://////////:------

After that Hizashi's day went more smoothly. He didn't even get a job from Rat-god to run behind the scenes, so he could go to the Cat Cafe even earlier as usual. There, Hitoshi was already waiting behind the counter, where a glance was enough, and the purple teenager instantly started making him his favorite caramel latte.

Hizashi chatted with Hitoshi for a few minutes and even learned that he was also included in his husband's new class. Hitoshi said that he had never experienced such a severed hand from uncle Aizawa before and thought about whether or not he should change his career from an Alvis Taloons member to a hugging pillow for cats.

Hizashi was of course amused and said that he would like to see Hitoshi's suffering with his own eyes. At this, he just got a grunted huff from a moody purple teenager and a sentence along the lines of "You're so alike. Psychopathic traits long before in genes. I'm not even surprised that you're married anymore."

Of course, it wasn't far from the truth, and he didn't have to confirm it for Hitoshi to know he was right. Hizashi thought he would talk to Nemuri also, but Hitoshi said she had a side mission at some bar and wouldn't show up until 23 pm and that he was also temporarily covering for her job at the Cat Cafe.

Hizashi said it was okay and that he would come visit her next time. However, as he finished his coffee and finally left outside of the Cat Cafe, something else that Hizashi didn't have planned in his schedule caught his cautious eyes.

A green-haired boy in a U.A. Gym training uniform was running down the street with his eyes closed and with his face tear-stained from nonstop crying. Everyone on the sidewalk was avoiding him like a rabid animal and cursing him to get the hell out of their way and not causing commotion. But no one on the whole street tried to stop him. Not people, not police, and not even the hero who was on guard and standing on the rooftop.

And that's exactly why this was one of the reasons he hated the heroes so much, and why he also became a villain he is. No one was bothered by the crying child running down the street in stress. No one thought to stop him and ask if he was okay and if he needed help. No one, unless some villain from the dark corners of the city decided at the last minute to jump in his way.

And by a "surprising coincidence," this mysterious villain was now him.

"Oh, sorry! I didn't look where I was going! I should have looked better when I walked out the door! That's totally my mistake! Are you alright?"

The mentioned green-haired boy bumped into him hard, couldn't keep his balance, and fell to the ground. Anxiety and panic were visible on the boy's face, as if he didn't know how he ended up on the ground or where he actually was. It looked like the kid didn't even register his presence, which immediately made his instincts act on impulse to bring the boy back to reality so the boy would be able to avoid an unpleasant panic attack.

"Hello! Hello! Earth is calling a Green Bean back! Are you alright, little listener? Didn't you hurt yourself somewhere?" he tried to ask slowly and loudly at the same time so he could help the boy to get over a shock. He also crouched down and started stroking him up and down gently with his hand on his shoulder, so that he could feel some presence and warmth of human and conclude by himself that he was real and not just some part of his imagitation.

It seemed to work after a few minutes of constant soothing, when the boy's breathing finally slowed down and his eyes stared at him intensively. The first time the boy tried to open his mouth to answer, he started coughing painfully, but after coughing a few more times, it was better the second time.

"I-I yes... No, I mean... I am o-okay... T-Thank you for-r... Thank y-you for your k-kind concern."

The boy's response was so hurt and shaken that Hizashi wanted to hug the boy immediately on the place, but he knew he had to keep a calm facade so as not to scare the poor thing away.

"That's nothing, kiddo! What even got you into such a fast mode that you couldn't see what was in front of you? You were running like someone was chasing your life." He tried to act normally as any other worried citizen with a smile plastered on his face. The questions he asked were half-aimed at deducing the situation, but it seemed like he had asked them too soon, as the boy immediately began to panic again.

"Ohh, that's uh...it's h-hard to explain...A-And there was this t-thing that happened... and... Oh, I didn't say s-sorry that I bumped into you! I-I'm so sorry! Are you alright, sir?! I-I didn't hurt you a-anywhere, or did I?! D-Did you hit your head o-or—"

What a thoughtful kid... He worries about others first and then about himself. Even though it should be the other way around!

"Calm down, kiddo. It's okay! Deep inhale... and exhale. Perfect. That's right! And don't worry, I didn't even fall down. I am in my best condition!"

And it was true. He was perfectly fine. But on the other hand, when he looked at the condition of the boy, who looked as if he had been hit by a car, he couldn't say the same.

But wait...

Is that?!

"First of all, are your fingers all right little listener? The color doesn't look really nice."

And even he exaggerated. They didn't look nice, they looked terrible!

At this the Green Bean just grimaced awkwardly and tried to hide his hands behind his back.

"Oh, that's n-nothing. T-They are fine. Y-You don't have to w-worry about... me."

Well, now he didn't know what was worse.

The condition of the kid's fingers, or the boy's lying. The kid definitely didn't know how to cover a lie...

But it's not the right time to point it out! He can actually use it for his benefit and maybe sometimes learn a boy how to lie by himself.

"Well, at least I can help you bandage them better! It doesn't look the best, and it should probably be wrapped more tightly, but luckily for us, I have a friend right here in this cafe who can help! We can also have a cake inside while we're at it."

For a second, Hizashi thought the boy's head was going to fall off when he suddenly started to shake it from side to side so violently. He also seemed to have lost a shade of his skin color and began to mumble under his breath.

"N-No, that's okay! Y-You don't have to d-do that! I-I am really fine! I-I should a-actually be the one w-who should buy y-you a coffee for an a-apology and—"

"Nonsense! I have a stable job and monthly salary! I can manage one more coffee and cake for my new companion! We will just properly check and bandage your fingers, okay? If at any time you don't feel comfortable in my presence, you can leave."

Hizashi knew that maybe he shouldn't have interrupted the stressed kid, but he couldn't help himself. He wanted to show a kiddo that he is someone who he can trust and rely on, not to be someone who he needs to apologize for everything he has done.

Even if the thing wasn't even bad in the first place!

The boy in question looked focused, as if he was pondering in his head whether to go with him or not. It took some time, but in the end, he decided to ask him a confirmation question.

"A-Are you sure?... That it's o-okay... with you?"

And for him it was quite an easy question. If even not the easiest!

"For 100%. I promise!"

The boy then let out a heavy exhale and nodded with his head in agreement slightly. Hizashi quickly took advantage of it and jokingly announced their entrance to his favorite cafe with his radio voice.

"Okay, sooo nice coffee and sweet cake here we cooome!!!"

Green Bean just giggled softly at his embarrassing performance and offered the world a small smile. Hizashi took it as his biggest accomplishment of his day and gently put his hand on the Green Bean's left shoulder to lead him inside to the cafe.

Wait, when did he start to call him Green Bean so much?!

Hm...

Never mind.

The nickname kind of suits him, so it shouldn't be a problem!

When they were finally inside the cafe, Hitoshi instantly gave him "Why are you back already, and who is he?" look, he immediately reciprocated with one of his own in the form of "Play it with me and I'll explain everything to you later."

Hitoshi, as stubborn as he was, for a moment doubted his uncle's plans, but after a moment he subdued himself and settled into the role.

"Hello, uncle. What can I give you for today?"

It seems Hitoshi has learned a lot during his time in the organization, as he now can see that his playing is flawless.

He really has an incredible nephew, doesn't he!

"Hello, Hitoshi! Long time no see! I just came here with my new friend to buy something for our sweet tongues. And also, could you be so kind as to bring the first aid kit to the back table in the right corner, please?"

"I will be there right away."

"Thanks!"

As Hizashi already moved towards the table, he noticed that a certain green-haired teenager was not following him behind and was instead watching Hitoshi as he searched for a first aid kit on the shelf. He also noticed a little blush on the Green Bean's cheeks and his eyes moving up and down on a purple-haired boy's body posture.

Wait.

Could it be?

"Hitoshi is quite an attractive young boy, isn't he?" he asked Green Bean slyly, as he bent to the green-haired boy's ear and whispered quietly.

"You know, I can give you a contact on him if you want. He is something like my nephew, and I can guarantee that he is a good boy!"

His teasing whisper about offering Hitoshi's phone contact seemed to finally snap Green Bean out of his deep thoughts and make him blush even more from the embarrassement .

"What?!... N-No, you don't have to! It's not like that!... I-I was just, aah... I-I was just looking... around? Y-Yeah, that's right! I-I wasn't looking at him like that! No, no, no, I was just..."

Green Bean then continued to explain how he hadn't looked at the purple boy in any particular way for a full minute without taking a breath. Hizashi of course found it funny how his new companion wanted to play innocent and interrupted his ramblings with laughter.

"Ha, ha, ha, it's okay! It's okay! Don't worry. I was just kidding with you. Sooo, are we going to sit down and eat something, or are we going to keep looking at the decor around the cafe?" Hizashi also could not forget to emphasize the word decor more significantly and wink with his right eye at the end of his sentence for a bonus. This embarrassed the little green ball even more and made him leave for the back seat quickly even without him.

Oh, he hopes he will see this boy around more often! Teasing him is so much fun!

When they finally sit down together behind a table, Hizashi began to debate how to start a proper not-so-much-interrogation-conversation, and in the end, he concluded that the best thing would probably be to introduce himself.

"Well, I didn't properly introduce myself before, but I am Yamada Hizashi, an adult who is dedicated, or even if not addicted to music and radio broadcasts. And who do I have the honor of meeting?"

It looked like that Green Bean didn't want to introduce himself at the start, but in the end, he said his whole name aloud.

"Izuku... M-Midoriya Izuku."

Mhm, he had definitely heard something similar before, but he didn't want to think about it too much. He had an injured kid to care about!

"Nice to meet you, Izuku! You can now look at the menu and choose whatever you like!"

Hizashi then waited for Izuku to choose his favorite food, but as he was looking at the menu on the large plastic board, he noticed by the Green Bean's shivery posture that he was still uncomfortable and nervous, which was instantly confirmed by his next question directed at him.

"B-But, is this really alright for y-you to pay for s-somebody like me? A-And are you sure that—"

Hizashi knew where this was going, and as quickly as he could, he put his pointer finger in front of Green Bean's face and stopped his senseless talking.

"Na, na, na, as I said, this round is on me, and you can choose whatever you want. It doesn't do me any problem and I would be glad if you would enjoy a meal, as I think this place has a lot of good stuff to offer."

He also offered a kid a nice smile so he could show him that what he said he thinks sincerely. It seemed to somehow work after that, as the Green Bean then gave him a tiny smile of his own and continued to study the menu.

Before Izuku could get too engrossed in deciphering the menu, several cats appeared around him and began to fondle their new visitor. When the cat first touched him, Hizashi thought the kid was going to have a heart attack from how surprised he was, but then more surrounded him and started purring loudly, which slowly calmed Green Bean down. He even began to gently stroke the kitten's fur as best he could with his badly injured fingers.

These cats knew how to read a person the best, and Hizashi immediately realized that Izuku must be a very good child if every cat in this cafe was not afraid to approach him. It was something like a miracle in this whole town and thing you not see every day.

"Oooh, it looks like cats like you a lot! Even my favorite Nutmeg! I know one or two persons who would be jealous of you right now!"

Aaand looks like one is coming...

"Here is the promised first aid kit. Would you like something to order?" said Hitoshi unemotionally as ever, as he slowly took his blue pen and paper into his hands to write down their orders. Hizashi also noticed that his nephew couldn't take his eyes off a pile of cats on Green Bean and how he studied Izuku's reactions to the cats.

"You know me well Hitoshi, but what about you kiddo? What would you like?" Hizashi asked Izuku nicely and started petting his orange cat on his lap as well, who decided to come to him from Green Bean's presence.

"Mhm. I'd l-like some green tea and p-pistachio cheesecake, please." replied Izuku gratefully, trying to look anywhere but at the purple waiter next to him.

The mentioned waiter finished writing dowm their orders and asked for a request from them too, or more specifically from one small green-haired guest.

"Alright. Also, excuse me, but could I take a picture of you? You and the cats are truly an indescribable phenomenon in this cafe, and I would like to have proof for one certain person that something like this happened."

Hizashi wanted to laugh again at how his new companion had changed color so many times in the past few hours, but he remained calm and just chuckled quietly into his palm while Izuku fought his inner self to get the words out.

"Y-Yeah. Of c-course... W-Why not???"

Not even five seconds later, the sound of a camera clicking echoed through the almost empty cafe as a new photo was taken. The reason, of course, was none other than Hitoshi, who muttered "Cute" under his mouth and quickly went off to made their orders.

If you would ask Hizashi, he would tell you one hundred percent that the photo would never fall into Shouta's or anyone else's hands and would rest in peace in the gallery of the young waiter who had his eyes nowhere else but on the photo.

Certainly an interesting turn of events that he didn't expect, but he never said he won't support it!

But first...

"Okay, let's check your fingers, buddy! I will try to be gentle, but if at any time it starts to hurt too much, just tell me."

Hizashi then slowly began to check the condition of Izuku's fingers. He tried to determine by a touch if they were broken or bruised, but it seemed that with great luck they were just severely bruised. He then started to wrap them in a strong elastic bandage so the fingers were immobilized firmly and correctly. The hardest part was listening to Izuku's whimpers, who was obviously in a lot of pain, but still tried to hold on as much as he could.

After Hizashi finished his work, he offered Green Bean some painkillers to help him cope better, but it would take a while for his fingers to fully recover. Or even until his mental state, which Hizashi suspected wasn't very good, would restore back.

"You know, you still didn't tell me how you were so lucky that you end up like this. Was there some free street fight that I haven't heard about?" He tried to ask jokingly, when he finally put everything back into the first aid kit bag and looked back at his well done job. Green Bean then just looked away anxiously, trying to figure out what to say.

"W-Well, there was this... accident in my home that happened... and somebody u-unknowingly closed the door when I had my fingers placed on the... frame... and then... I-I panicked and started running without thinking... and... I don't want to go into deep details about that right now, I'm sorry... b-but nothing serious happened, you don't have to worry... all of that was my mistake anyway."

Fidgeting, increased blinking, sweating, covering the mouth and nose, giving too little detail, angling the body toward the door for an escape, or speaking in a disjointed manner... And other thousand typical body lying signs Hizashi could count in his head. He didn't just interrogate and torture people for nothing. He already knew all the signs when people were hiding something from him, and the Green Bean was clear evidence.

But right now he couldn't say it aloud. He needed to play a secret game!

"It's totally fine, little listener! You don't know me well, and you can't be 100% sure to trust me. I got it! But just to be sure... Does at least someone from your parents know about your condition?"

At his other question, the boy was no longer so much afraid to look him in the eyes and honestly told him the truth.

"Yes... f-father knows."

So the green bean's father is definitely not a good person. That's checked out. What kind of parent would even let his child run around the street in such a state?!

Now he had at least his first suspected culprit, and he didn't like where it was pointing out at all...

"C-Can I ask you something, mister Y-Yamada?" asked him suddenly Green Bean, waving his little hand in front of him to get his attention.

Oh, he must have been lost in thoughts... What a trained villain he is to get lost in his thoughts so easily?!

"But of course kiddo, what would you like to ask?"

When he finally gave the little listener space to talk, the boy fidgeted in his seat for a moment, but not for long, because in the next few seconds he found the courage to ask him another stressed-out question.

"I-Is there a chance that we've m-met each other b-before?"

Aaaand... This was something he didn't expect...

They never met before, he was definitely sure... And Green Bean couldn't recognize him from anywhere, as he now wasn't even in his villain outfit and...

Wait...

Don't tell him that this kid...

"...O-Or aren't you some f-famous singer by any chance? Because I am almost s-sure that I saw you somewhere b-before. M-Maybe on video r-recording or something? Because there is s-something familiar about your h-hair? Facial features? B-but I just can't figure it out exactly... Oh, and t-there is also your familiar v-voice that..."

Nooow Hizahsi was a person who had forgotten how to speak and was immediately frozen in time from the kid's analytical theories. He knew the boy was from the U.A. because he would recognize their training uniform anywhere, but he didn't expect the boy to recognize him just because of the video footage the U.A. has on them. Not even some of the members could figure him out of his costume, so he definitely didn't expect for a kid to do it.

This is not good. If the kid figures him out, he needs to apprehend him, as he can't allow for his secret to get away, even though he really wouldn't like to do it, as he already likes the kid so much. But in the end he wouldn't have a choice, he would have to do what is necessary and without discussion.

The boy in definition probably sensed his alarming change of attitude, as he immediately stopped talking about his theories and began to apologize to him without taking a breath.

"Oh, I-I am sorry that must have sounded creepy! I-I was just thinking that m-maybe I recognized y-you from somewhere before, but I was probably m-mistaken. I am s-so sorry if I made you u-uncomfortable! Please pretend that you didn't hear about anything I said!" The kid then instantly curled up into a ball and hid himself behind his hands in horror.

Right... he forgot this kid is one big anxious ball...

But fuuu, if it wasn't too close. He has to be careful what he says from now on because he doesn't know what this kid's quirk even really is and how much he knows about him.

But maybe it wouldn't be bad to learn more about him, right???

"That's okay, kiddo! Don't worry! Don't worry! You just surprised me with your amazing brain! I am not mad at you at all!" He said happily with his crazy personality of somebody who doesn't take things seriously and is for all the fun.

The Green Bean at that just peeked between his fingers curiously and asked him in a whisper an affirmative question.

"R-Really?... Y-You don't think I-I am... weird for it?"

Oh, how can this kid be so cute?! And how can anybody think that this kid is weird?! If anything else, he is glowing with talent! Maybe he could just kidnap him for himself???

"Absolutely not! Your talent should be appreciated! I bet that you must be one of the best in your school! But to disappoint you, I think we have never met before and know nothing about each other, buuut of course that can be changed!"

This confused a Green Bean a little, as he didn't understand what he meant.

"Huh? What can be changed?"

At that, Hizashi just smiled from ear to ear and gave the little listener an easy explanation.

"Knowledge about ourselves! Just because we don't know anything about each other doesn't mean we can't learn a little more now, sooo let's start with... Mhm, for example... What's your favorite hobby kiddo?"

------://////////:------

They continued talking like this for almost two hours without a break. The shy, anxious boy even turned into a talkative and laughing boy, who thanks to a little confidence and that someone was listening to him and not judging him, changed into a totally different person. He even knew how to make a joke out of himself or make a joke out of Hizashi.

When Hitoshi brought their orders, Hizashi really enjoyed Izuku's red face when he offered to help feed him the cake with a spoon, since he couldn't use his own hands much due to his injured fingers. Hitoshi also helped him drink his tea better by offering him a paper straw.

It was also confirmed to Hizashi that Izuku was a really smart boy, if not a genius like his boss. And how many things they had in common, Hizashi wasn't even able to count. Music, humor, sweets, and even the same type of favorite animal.

Hizashi had to say that this was one of the best days he had ever had, even though the start wasn't so great. Izuku was very good company, and deep down he knew he would give anything to have a child like Izuku. If only to give him a family that would care about him or give him the attention this amazing boy deserved.

Hizashi almost slipped out of his mouth if the boy was really safe in his house and if he wouldn't rather stay with him, but a certain man in a black suit who ran suddenly into the Cat Cafe ruined it all.

"Midoriya Izuku! The son of Midoriya Hisashi! What are you doing here without your security?!"

Green bean couldn't even react to it properly, as the black-suited man had already walked to their table quickly and wrapped his hand tightly around his forearm.

"You know you aren't supposed to go away without us, and you run away again anyway! How are you going to explain your reason this time, huh?!"

While the security guard was yelling, Izuku started hyperventilating again like he did at the beginning on a street, still trying to explain the situation to his security guard.

"I-I am so sorry! I didn't mean to run away! I just panicked and—"

"Nonsense! Stop with your stupid excuses finally and get your ass back to—"

"Gentleman. I would advise you to get your hands off that child, because I guarantee you will never see your hand again."

Hizashi saw everything he needed in that short time and decided to act quickly as well. He grabbed the security guard's hand with which he was holding Izuku and squeezed his hand so hard that the security guard shouted loudly from pain. The wicked guard of course didn't take it kindly and started yelling at him as well.

"W-Who do you think you are?! I'm his security! My job is to protect him and keep him safe from people like you! So don't be in the way and get the hell out of... Aahhh!!!

Hizashi was losing his patience now and gripped the guard's hand even tighter than before. With the monster hiding inside him, he grabbed the guard's tie with his other hand, pulled him closer to his face, and with malice in his voice, summoned the demons of hell themselves.

"Well, you definitely didn't do your job right, so you won't need this hand anymore, right? Or shoud I just strangle you with your tie so you don't breathe oxygen like everyone else who deserves it?"

Hizashi couldn't allow anybody to talk to him like that, and especially not to his Izuku. He was ready to break the guard's arm in his own in a second beyond recognition until a certain little green bean called out to him in a panic.

"S-Stopp! P-Please, m-mister Yamada. D-Don't hurt him!"

Hizashi then instantly looked to the side, where he saw Green Bean's frightened face with eyes full of distress. When he glanced back, he could sense Hitoshi behind the counter, ready to attack at any time if necessary with a knife in his hand, waiting only for his signal. He could also see some people in bigger groups who were looking through a window if there was some commotion happening inside.

Everything looked like a great chaos with a lot of unwanted attention on him and his started action, where only Izuku managed to get his by his words alone.

"D-Don't hurt him, m-mister Yamada... Please."

Hizashi could say that he was able to find his weakness today, as when he heard that pleading voice from Green Bean, without thinking twice, he released the guard from his grip on the ground and relaxed his fighting posture. He would never have done this under any other circumstances, but it seems that a certain green-haired child completely changed his mind.

Just thought where he imagined that Izuku would be more scared of him than the stupid bodyguard driven him to madness. He just couldn't let it happen at any circumstances, and because of that he retreated from a fight.

It didn't take even a second after that, and three more security guards appeared at the door, about to take out their weapons from their pockets to direct them to his head when they saw the condition of their dear comrade on the ground.

However, Hizashi's words stopped their movements in concern, as he spoke the made-up truth out loud and raised his hands in surrender.

"Don't worry guys. There is nothing serious going on. We already discuss it with each other. Right, security guard?" He also gave a murderous look just for the fallen security guard as a bonus to make him understand the situation.

It seems he understood it correctly when he stood up and quickly ran to the security guards to confirm that everything was fine and nothing serious had happened to him or to their young master, and that he wasn't a dangerous threat to them.

Meanwhile Izuku, who was standing beside him on his left side, exhaled a heavy breath of air out of his lungs and tremblingly started saying his goodbye.

"I-I need to go already, mister Y-Yamada. Thank you for your hospitality, it was nice meeting you, and t-thank you also for your—"

"Your phone, kid. I'd like to put my number there for the next meeting. Our conversation about learning more about each other is definitely not over, aaand no more Yamada either! Call me Hizashi from now one."

Hizashi expected confusion or anger that he interrupted the kid and wanted his phone to write his number there, but what he didn't expect was for Izuku's face to light up and that he would offer him his phone with no difficulties and with big happiness.

He of course put it in there in one minute and nodded satisfied when he was finally done. Izuku in the end also unexpectedly bowed to him and expressed all his gratitude.

"T-Thank you once again, mister Hizashi! Y-You were my... You were my h-hero today! Thank you a-and have a nice day!"

Aaand before he knew it, the kid was gone.

Hizashi really didn't want for the kid to leave, as he wanted to know about the kid more, but four bodyguards with other people outside would have attracted a lot of attention, even if he had Hitoshi as a backup.

But he's not called a bad villain for nothing.

Chips existed in this generation so people could put them in phones and other devices to find what they thought was theirs at any time.

And one of them was flashing in red light on his phone, showing him an exact location of a certain green-haired kid.

Hero...

Ha, ha, ha, he didn't hear that in a while.

------://////////:------

Even though Hizashi didn't want to come to this meeting with Rat-god after all the things that happened today, he knew that it was his duty and that he had to participate.

At the moment, he was already in front of the big white door of his boss's office and waiting for permission to come inside.

When the door opened by itself, Hizashi could already see the mouse sitting behind the desk and his husband standing on the left in front. He of course didn't hesitate for a second and went inside quickly to join them.

With a small bow of his head and a cheeky smile, he greeted his husband, and then with a bow and with welcoming words, he greeted his boss.

"Good evening, Rat-god! I hope you had a fantastic day today!"

At this the rat just smirked under his whiskers and greeted him nicely too.

"Hello to you too, Mic Ripper. Today I had quite a peaceful and relaxing day. Thank you for asking. So, if there is nothing else to say, let's start our meeting. I will show you a picture of our today's theme first."

Always straight to the point. His boss never changes.

Rat-god for a moment was typing something on his computer until a certain photo of a person Hizashi knew very well appeared in the hologram.

"Green bean?!"

"Problem child?"

They said with his husband at the same time with confusion plastered on their faces.

"Wait, you know him?"

"Wait, you know him?"

They said at the same time once again, now with both of their sentenses same as well.

"It looks like both of you had the honor to meet this young U.A. student. Can you Aizawa please start first with how you met this boy and what do you think about him?" said the little mouse already mischievously, with no pleasant feeling in the air at all.

"Ach, I met this kid in a park when I was lying down under a tree in a shadow. At some point in time he fell down on me from a branch. From the little interaction we had, I could say he is a really skittish and anxious boy. His voice trembled uncertainly when he spoke to me, and he lacked confidence. From his clothes I would judge he is coming from some rich or noble family, as he also offered me a large amount of money by misunderstanting."

Thinking about it, his husband one day mentioned a funny turkish drama that happened to him in the park.

Well, why not tease his husband a little bit?

"Wait, was that the boy you said thought you were homeless?"

With a frown and a flushed red face, his husband answered him sharply.

"Not a great time to talk it out, Mic Ripper."

"Ha, ha, ha. Yeah, yeah, sorry, sorry... But it suits the boy. In my experience, I met him today and I agree with his description of Eraserhead. He seems like a really nervous wreck at first, but once he gains confidence, he's a really sincere and funny guy. But if I may ask, why are we discussing this boy in our meeting today? What exactly does he have to do with us?"

He really doesn't like how the sunshine of the boy was mentioned at today's meeting. Does Rat-god want to take some action on U.A. which includes mostly the boy? Or does Rat-god not like that he chipped the child's phone?

In any case, he needs to find out so he can plan the best way to protect the boy.

"Good questions, Mic Ripper. The thing is, I figured from my secret sources and video records that this certain fidgety child is behind the unexpected attack of pro heroes at our last mission."

"What?!" Hizashi screamed so loudly that he almost activated his quirk, while his husband's eyes opened wide in shock.

Rat-god waited for them to process their new information for few seconds, and than continued in his talking again.

"Before you start, I will describe him more to you. Midoriya Izuku, son of a Midoriya Hisashi, head of the factory for hero technology and all sorts of nano-inventions. He is also a D.E.C.U. student at U. A. with the highest percentage of points obtained in written exams and very good results in practicals. His quirk is called slightly enchanted thinking, and he is one of the best students in his year. At the sports festival, he didn't help his hero partner at all, but I personally think that he is behind all the combat tactics against their opponents."

The Rat-god coughed a little into his tiny paw and began to enrich them with information again.

"When this young man entered school, our units began to be more overcrowded, and many of our combat actions had to be canceled due to the hero's rounds following the intervention. There were many other similar coincidences like that and because of that I think this kid is behind it all."

No, no, no. He knew the kiddo was smart, but this smart??! It is dangerous for them to let U.A. use this boy's intelligence and Rat-god knows it well. His devilish eyes is telling it all!

He planned to adopt him as his kid in a few weeks when he would find his shitty-ass father and get rid of him! Not this! He needs to stop this before it's too late and ASAP!

"Wait, Rat-god please. Let's not rush. From what I found out, the kid didn't even want to study at U.A. at all. I assume that his family is behind it, specifically his father, who is forcing him to do it. I think Izuku is a really good boy, and he doesn't deserve something bad from us. He doesn't need to be punished."

Hizashi knew he was probably begging the mouse with his eyes as a tiny pup, but from that little moment with Izuku, he would do anything for his Green Bean and he wasn't afraid to show it.

He expected from his boss to order him to back off or something, but he didn't expect him to be on the same page.

"Oh, don't worry, I don't want to eliminate Midoriya Izuku, if that is what you meant. Quite the opposite! I want for him to join us! As his cooperation with U.A. is dangerous. Cooperation with us could bring us great benefits."

At this time, it was his husband who suddenly inserted himself into their conversation

"If what Hizashi said is true, how do you intend to convince a kid from U.A. grounds to join us voluntarily?"

The mouse just smiled cheekily and put his paws together on a desk in front of him with calm and confident posture

"We may have to approach with a firm hand at first, but I believe that eventually, when he would see our true form, he will want to join us. There is also a little secret I am sure hewould like to know."

However, his husband didn't buy it and asked for the exact opposite outcome.

"And if not?"

Hizashi swore that if he ever saw the King of Ruthless in front of himself, it would be right now, as the white rat had transformed into one.

"Well, he won't have a choice."

The office had a dark gloom for a full minute until a mouse didn't broke it by his words.

"Anyway, don't worry. I don't plan to hurt him. First of all, we need to resolve another action before we start joining Izuku to our side."

"A-And that is?" Hizashi asked unsurely, as he once again didn't know what was wrong with this absurd Friday.

"Action in Hosu, of course."

Notes:

A little later update as i was on unexpected holiday. Also sorry but no picture of Izuku's uniform today, as I didn't have time to finish it up. But next chapter I will post it I promise! Thanks for patience and bye bye!

I'm trying to learn to write better in English. This seemed like a funny way to learn it, so here I am.
