Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Percy limped across the ruin that was once known as Camp Half-Blood, his home. He choked up as he passed the bodies of his fallen friends. He sobbed as he passed Thalia and Nico. He broke down as he passed Annabeth. He felt numb by the time he limped past the bodies of Chiron and Grover. He was scared, terrified even. He wanted the pain and suffering to stop.

His lungs hurt and there was a sharp stinging pain on his head. He realized that he was screaming. He realized that the stinging pain was from his ripping chunks of his own scalp off as he brought his hands down to see clumps of bloody hair and scalp. He stood and screamed as loud as he could muster for as long as he could. His screams shook the earth and rampaged all across the world.

His vision was blurry with black spots dancing around what little he could see. All he could feel was pain enveloping every muscle, every tendon, every nerve in his body. He reached the water, but it was already too late. He knew that it was too late as he collapsed in the water and let it pull him away from the shore. For the first time in his entire life, he prayed to his father. He prayed as his vision finally went dark and his mind was clear.

"Father, please! Father! Please help me! Dad I'm scared! I don't want to die! Please dad! Daddy-"

His painful wails were cut off as he was dragged out to sea. His vision turned fully black. He fought hard to stay awake. He fought against the overwhelming exhaustion waiting to take him into its grasp for eternity. He fought, to no avail. Consciousness finally slipped through his fingers and left him alone in the middle of the sea.

If he were conscious - and alive - he would have felt the entire earth tremble and shake and crack as his father raged in mourning. He would have felt the water move him faster. He would have felt his body hit the sea floor. He would have noticed his father picking up his limp body and carrying it to his palace. He would have noticed the funeral his father held for him. He would have heard the broken and strangled sobs of his Step-mother and step-siblings. He would have heard the loud wailings of his mother and his father. He would have noticed the elements and the world raging with and against each other in a heartbroken symphony. He would have seen the shadows enveloping his body in a sorrowful hug. He would have seen the sun dim even though it was high in the sky. He would have felt the temperature drop despite the sun being up so high yet so close.

But he wasn't conscious. He wasn't alive. He didn't notice any of that. Didn't hear any of that. The only thing he could feel, see, touch, hear, breath, or taste was darkness. He thought it tasted like black licorice. He hated black licorice.

He opened his eyes, hoping for Paradise. Hoping for his fallen family to be right there to greet him into the afterlife. But no. Life was never easy or fair, so why should death be any better?

He was in a room. It was narrow, but it was tall. He couldn't even see the ceiling. Surrounding him were rows and rows of shelves holding books of many sizes. With each book, was a roll of string and fabric. Not one roll of fabric ever being the same color as another.

He looked around for a little bit until he came across a door that was a color that Percy is pretty sure doesn't even exist. It was a blue so dark it looked like a black hole. It was darker than the darkest black Percy has ever seen. He could tell it was blue, but it was so dark he would have thought it would be black.

Being the reckless idiot he was, he opened the door and walked in. He took one look inside and attempted to turn back before he realized that he couldn't move anymore.

"Perseus Achilles Jackson."

He glared at them. He hated the Moirai. It was like a million voices were speaking back to him. The sound of the voices was grinding against his ear drums.

"Lady Clotho, Lady Lachesis, Lady Atropos." He greeted them all with respect, albeit reluctant respect, but respect nonetheless.

"A great wrong has been done."

"Very wrong."

"Someone has-"

"Tampered with-"

"The String of Fate."

"Not meant to happen."

"Not supposed to lose."

Percy's head was spinning. The Moirai seemed almost...scared.

"Wrong ending."

"We must fix it."

"We must repair what has been done."

"Go back."

"Back in time."

"To where it all began."

"Perseus Achilles Jackson, age 12."

"Fix it."

"Change the future."

"Save the world."

"Save your world."

What? Percy didn't understand what was going on. He didn't understand why the Moirai were telling him this.

"Differences."

"Many differences"

"Change"

"Nothing will-"

"Be the same"

"You will gain-"

"Your true abilities"

"Your true power"

"Perseus Anteros Rhodos Jackson, age 12"

"Are you ready?"

"You have no choice in the matter"

"Be prepared"

"For you will have no memories of your previous life"

"And always remember, divinity is much more than just immortality."

For the first time in his entire life, he saw the Fates smile. It was not happy, or proud, or even amused, it was sad, sorrowful, and worst of all, regretful. It made Percy tear up. It made him want to rip his hair out all over again. It made him want to-

Then he blacked out.

(everything that is said at this point is actually said in Greek until further notice)

"My sea shell, you must come with me! Please!" The god begged and pleaded. He wanted nothing more than for his mortal lover and his child to go with him to his home.

"I already said no! My husband still awaits for me, my eternal love!" She yelled.

"Salacia, please! He will not be safe! Especially not with him!" He cried.

Sally wouldn't budge. "No! Forgive me, Lord Poseidon, but I cannot allow this."

"What if you were to go with Aphrodite! I cannot have my son stay with that monster!"

"That monster is my husband! As much as I love you, I still love him!" She shouted.

Poseidon stood tall, his eyes glowing an angry green.

"Fine! You refuse my help, my love! Then you shall have no more! No matter how much you beg or call, you will have no more help from I nor Aphrodite! We shall only show face when it comes to our son!" Sally watched as he disappeared in a swirl of water.

Sally fell to the floor and sobbed. She barely registered the door to the house opening. She barely registered her husband's voice trying to calm her down.

It registered in her mind that her husband didn't yet know that she was with-child. She could pretend that the child was his.

She turned to her husband and hugged him.

"Sally, my love, what is wrong?" He asked.

"Oh Nicodemus, I have fallen pregnant. I am to birth a child in less than nine months!" She cried. She was careful to not say that it was her husband's child so as to not anger the gods any further.

"What?! You are with-child?! Oh Sally, that's fantastic!" He cheered. He held out his hand to help her up.

Sally smiled and grabbed his hand.

-5 and ½ months later-

"Nico! Husband! Somethings happening!" Sally screamed out.

'This must be a mistake! It hasn't been enough time! Why are you punishing me like this Poseidon!'

She knew deep down that it was Poseidon doing this to her. Aphrodite would never hurt her like this. In fact, Aphrodite stopped interfering with her life after that summer in America.

Nicodemus Jackson ran into the room at his wife's cries to find her on the floor, liquid streaming out of her.

"Let's go my dear!" He picked her up and carried her to the car. He ran back inside and grabbed their bags.

"It's going to be ok my love, we'll be alright." He soothed as he rushed to the hospital.

×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×

Sally screamed as she pushed out the child. After 25 excruciating hours, her baby was finally born.

Sally looked up to see several doctors rushing around in a state of panic. She was wondering what they were doing, when she realized that she could not hear the cries of a child. Her husband was crying, her Nicodemus was heartbroken.

"Nico?" She whispered. "What is wrong, my love?"

He looked at her and got on his knees by her bedside as he squeezed her hand.

"I am so sorry my eternal wife, the child is a still-born. He is not alive." He cried out.

Sally's eyes widened in fear. Poseidon will rage. Aphrodite will be angered. She nor Nicodemus will live much longer. She had killed the child of two of the eldest gods. She had killed her child.

"No no no no no NO! He can't be dead! Let me see him!" She cried. Her son couldn't possibly be dead. She had to see it for herself.

"I am sorry my love, but he was born too early." He said. She could hear the sadness creeping into his tone. He still thought that the child was his.

"Let me see my child!" She sobbed.

A doctor brought the baby to her arms. She held him against her skin and sobbed.

"Oh my baby! My greatest joy! I am so sorry! My sweet boy!" She sobbed as she held his still body.

She stilled when she heard the sound of crying. Not just any crying, and infant's cry.

She jerked her head up to see her baby crying.

"Nicodemus, my husband, look!"

Nicodemus looked at her to see her baby moving and very much alive.

"Doctor!" He shouted. "The baby is alive!"

Doctors filed in and tried to grab the baby, but Sally wouldn't let them.

"No! Don't touch my baby!" She yelled as she swatted away a doctor's hand.

"Mrs. Jackson, we have to take him." A doctor said.

"Not yet! Not until I can name my baby!" She cried.

The doctor's reluctantly agreed.

Sally looked at the baby, love engulfing her entire soul.

"Oh my baby, my little boy. My sweet baby dove." She cooed.

"Your name shall be Perseus. Perseus Anteros Rhodos Jackson of Ithaki island." She announced proudly.

She could see the already forming scales on him. She could see his tiny little wings sprouting out of his back. She could see the little gills on his neck and on his ribs. She could see his sharp claws and the tips of his fingers that were colored a light purple. As he stared into her eyes, she could see his shifting eye color that always remained to have a circle of black around the iris. She could see the water that circled in his eye sockets, acting as eyes. The child was of a broken oath and wasn't fully hers. The child belonged to the Styx as much as he belonged to her.

Sally could see the tips of sharp little teeth, poking through his gums. The little horns on his head, the little tail on his bottom. This child is not a mortal, and it never will be.

-1 week later-

It was finally time for Sally to go home with her baby. Nicodemus was coming to pick them up in a few minutes.

She was relieved that her baby would survive.

"Mrs. Jackson? You're husband is here."

Sally gathered her stuff and nodded. She grabbed her baby and took him outside to the car where her husband was waiting.

When they got home, a white box was waiting on the front step.

"Nicodemus, my husband, was this here when you left?" Sally asked, hiding the fear in her voice.

"No? This must have just been left." He answered.

All of the color drained from her face.

"Grab my stuff and take it inside." She said as she grabbed Perseus.

When Nicodemus got inside, she grabbed the blue box and fled to the nursery she had set up for her son.

She set the baby down in his bassinet and opened the box. Inside were three rings, a bracelet, a necklace, and a pen. There was also a note from Aphrodite.

A little color returned to her face.

The note read:

Dearest Salacia,

I hope this letter finds you in good health. Poseidon and I have worried about you and the baby, though Poseidon refuses to acknowledge his feelings. I am grateful that you gave our son two middle names, both of which are that of my children's. Anteros is a great middle name, and I am sure that Rhodos will be happy to know that her namesake is also her baby brother. Poseidon is not happy about the choice of first name, but I think it suits him well. He is strong and will be a great young man.

I just want you know that there is a place where he can be safe from monsters. It is called Camp Half-Blood. It's for young Demigod children. I fear that it is a bit of a long ways away. It resides in Long Island Sound in New York. It is in America.

I also wanted to let you know that the gifts in the box are for Perseus. They are from both Poseidon and I. The blue ring is to help him channel his magic. As a child of mine, he will undoubtedly inherit some of my magic. The purple ring can transform into a specially made trident if you twist is to the left, and a bow if you twist it to the right. The black ring will alert Poseidon and I if he were to be in danger. The bracelet can transform into a suit of armor if you tap on the charm. the necklace will turn into a spear if you tug on in, and a dagger if you twist it before tugging on it. And last, but most certainly not least, the pen will turn into a sword if you uncap on it. The pen can change forms if the owner so wishes.

Please give these items to Perseus as soon as you can. Thank you, my love.

P.S Poseidon is still angry at you.

With Love,

Aphrodite.

Sally hid the letter and put it back into the box before hiding it in the closet.

-1 year old-

"Nicodemus Jackson! Can you please watch the baby while I take a shower!?"

Sally was exhausted. her baby was certainly energetic. Her loves warned her that this would happen. She wish that she had listened. Sometimes she wished that she had taken Poseidon's offer.

"Sorry dear! I'm busy!" He excused as he handed the baby back to her.

She stared at him as if he had said something in a foreign language.

"What?" She asked.

"I'm busy right now. I cannot watch him." He replied.

"Why not?"

"I'm busy." He said.

Sally got angry. She got really angry.

"Nicodemus Jackson, you will watch my son for fifteen minutes while I take a shower!" She screamed as she placed the baby in his arms and stormed off towards the shower.

Nicodemus looked at Perseus and then back towards the bathroom.

"Is your mother alright?" He asked.

Perseus looked up at him and giggled.

Nicodemus sighed and sat down on the co uch.

-5 years old-

Sally pushed a stroller while her husband held Perseus's hand. She had a set of twins, three years old and about ready to transition from the stroller to full on walking.

"Mama!" Her daughter giggled.

Sally smiled down into the stroller that held her daughter and her son.

"Mommy?" Perseus asked.

"Yes Perseus?" Sally stopped walking and looked at her young boy.

"Why is that man with one eye staring at me?" He asked as he point over to the right.

Both Sally and Nicodemus jerked their heads over to the right. Sally saw a man in a trench coat with a big eye in the middle of his face.

A cyclops. Damnit Poseidon!

"Nicodemus, we're going home. Now!" She turned around and headed back to the car.

×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×

-7 years old-

Perseus held his brother and sister close to him under his bed as his mother and father yelled at each other. They had many of these fights now. They never got along anymore.

"Bubba! Why're Mommy and daddy fighting?" Cried his little sister, Penelope.

"I don't know, sister." He answered.

"When are they going to stop?" His little brother, Orion, asked him in a small voice.

"I wish I could answer that." Perseus said solemnly.

They huddled together for what seemed like hours until the shouting suddenly stopped.

Perseus peaked out of the window to see police cars.

He sighed and told his siblings to stay under the bed and left the room.

His mother had retreated to her room again and his father was passed out on the couch surrounded in bottles of beer.

The police were po unding on the front door.

Perseus opened the front door and looked up.

"Hello Officer." He greeted.

"Perseus? Where is your mother?" The officer asked.

"Mother and father are asleep." He answered.

"Really? We just got called in for a noise complaint again."

Perseus teared up. "I apologize officer Monty, but you must be mistaken. Mother and father have been asleep for a while."

The officer narrowed his eyes, but said nothing more. This happened almost every night.

Perseus shut the door and turned to clean up the house. After he was finished picking everything up, he went to go get his siblings.

"Penelope, Orion, it's safe to come out now. Let's get you to your room"

He led his siblings down the hall towards their room and tucked them in. Afterwards, he left towards his mother's room and knocked on the door.

"Come in." She said quietly.

Perseus opened the door and peaked his head in. His mother was lying down on her side.

"Mother? Are you ok?" He asked her.

"I'm fine Perseus." She answered softly.

Perseus said goodnight and left.

×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×~×

-10 years old-

Sally cried as she hugged her son. She wasn't ready, but it had to be done.

"Oh Perseus, I am so sorry." She cried.

"What? What's wrong mother? Why are you crying?"

Sally cried harder.

"I am sending you away to live with your father." She said as she tucked a strand of hair behind his ear. His hair was long, he liked growing it out.

"What? But my father lives with us." He said, confused.

"Oh sweetheart, Nicodemus is not your father." She said sadly.

"What? But-"

"I know sweetheart. All will be explained once you meet him." She said as she handed him his bag.

"What about Penelope and Orion? What about you?" He asked frantically.

She sniffled and wiped her tears. "We're moving to America." She answered.

"What about fath- Nicodemus?" He asked, tears brimming his eyelids.

"He's staying, he can't co me with us. He is unsafe."

Perseus got into the car without asking another question. Sally grabbed the twins and their belongings and got in too.

Sally drove him to the beach and helped him out of the car.

"Mother? What are we doing here?" He asked.

"Just wait right here sweetheart, he'll come get you soon." She gave him a hug and got back into the car.

Perseus watched in horror as his mother drove away.

"Mother! Stop! Don't leave me!" He begged as he raced after her. He raced after her until she drove into the open road.

When it became clear that he would not catch up, he walked back over to his belongings.

Why would his mother leave him behind? He thought she loved him. Was he not enough? Why?

He messed with the black ring he had on his ring finger. He had four rings, a bracelet, and a necklace.

"Child?" He heard a deep voice.

He jerked his head up and nearly gasped. The man in front of him looked almost exactly like him, except with dizzying, sea green eyes. Perseus had bright violet eyes that were rimmed with black.

The man smiled softly and knelt down.

"Hello Perseus. It's great to finally be able to meet you."

Perseus was confused. "Who are you?" He asked.

The man's face darkened before morphing into something sorrowful.

"I should've known she wouldn't tell you, but I could only hope." He muttered.

"What?" Perseus said.

"Where is your mother?" The man asked, ignoring the question.

"Uhm, she left me here and drove away with my younger siblings." Perseus answered.

The man's eyes widened and his jaw clenched.

"Ok. Well Perseus, I am your father. I came because the ring alerted me of your distress."

"My- my father?" Perseus stood up quickly and bowed. He didn't pay any mind to the comment about the ring. He didn't really care.

The man chuckled. "You have no need to do that."

"Sorry sir." Perseus said.

Perseus's father looked at him. "You can call me dad, you know."

Perseus looked only slightly uncomfortable. "O-ok...dad."

Poseidon smiled and gestured for Perseus to follow him.

"So...where do you live?" Perseus asked, trying to make small talk.

Poseidon stopped walking and looked down at Perseus.

"She never told you?" He asked.

"Told me what?"

"That you are a demigod." He said simply.

Perseus completely shut down for a second.

"What?!" He exclaimed loudly.

"Yes, of course. I figured you would have known with all of those scales, and feathers. And the wings of course. And the horns and tail, and the teeth, too. Oh, and the fact that you have no eyes."

Perseus never really thought about why he had any of those things. It's just something he had, and no one else talked about it.

"O-ok. If I'm a demigod, then which god are you?" Perseus asked.

"I'm Poseidon of course." He answered casually.

Perseus dropped to one knee and bowed his head.

Poseidon rolled his eyes. "Stand up."

Perseus stood up and looked at him.

Poseidon smiled and led the boy to the edge of the water. He grabbed Perseus's shoulders and dissolved into mist.

When they reformed, they were in a palace.

(Now they're speaking High Atlantean, although Perseus doesn't realize it)

"Follow me Perseus, it is time for dinner. You must meet your true family. And, your mother is coming over." Poseidon said as he quickly transformed Perseus's clothes into a deep blue chiton with leather sandals. He also had on a purple himation and a golden trident pin.

"My mother? Didn't she just leave me?" Perseus asked, now completely confused.

"Yes, but I'm talking about your other mother."

"Other mother? Like, from Coraline?" Perseus asked.

"No. I mean Aphrodite. You are a tri-blood, meaning you are seventy-five percent god and twenty-five percent mortal. Meaning, you have one mortal parent and two godly parents." He explained.

"The goddess Aphrodite is my mother?!"

"Yes. Now, here we are. Pay no mind to your eldest brother, he is a bit rude when you first meet him."

Poseidon opened the double doors and any conversation happening inside seemed to cease as all eyes turned to them.

"Husband? Who is this boy?" A lady asked. The lady had a mermaid tail and long, soft blue hair. She was beautiful. Perseus guessed she was Lady Amphritite, Poseidon's wife.

He bowed. "Lady Amphritite, it is a great honor to meet you."

"Rise. You needn't bow." Poseidon said as he moved to sit down at the head of the table.

There was a seat open on his left. Poseidon gestured for Perseus to sit down, so he did.

"Husband, I am serious. Who is this?" She asked once more, clearly agitated.

"This is Perseus. The son I told you about." He answered.

Every head in that room snapped towards him, jaws dropped.

Perseus straightened up and cleared his throat. "Hello. My name is Perseus Anteros Rhodos Jackson. It is an honor to meet you all."

A girl with short black hair, and bright yellow eyes, squealed. "Did you say Rhodos? Oh please tell me you said Rhodos!"

"Uh, yeah. That's part of my name."

She looked ecstatic.

Poseidon was about to speak when the door slammed open and seventeen people walked in.

"Hello." A woman waved. She was beautiful in the way no woman should be.

She looked around the room until her eyes landed on Perseus. Her eyes widened and her mouth fell open.

"Poseidon. Tell me why you did not inform me that OUR son would be here." She said, somewhat calmly.

Every person she walked in with turned to stare at her.

"Uh- surprise?"

The woman huffed before waving, making the table large enough to fit sixteen more people.

"Why did you bring your children?" Poseidon asked.

"Well, why not." She replied as she sat down.

Perseus cleared his throat again and looked at the woman.

"You must be Lady Aphrodite, my mother." He said, unknowingly switching languages to French.

She turned towards him, obviously taken aback.

"You know who I am?" She asked, her face slowly forming into a joyous smile.

"Yes." He said simply.

She laughed happily and clasped her hands together. "You have to meet everybody!" She giggled.

"You obviously already know me and Poseidon. I assume you know Amphritite." She said. "Everybody introduce themselves."

"I'm Triton." The man rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. He obviously hates the fact that Perseus was there.

"My name is Benthesikyme. You can call me Benthy."

"I'm Pegasus, I'm just in my human form."

"I'm Chrysaor. Call me Chrys if you want."

"Hello! I'm Rhodos! You're my namesake!" Perseus smiled brightly and waved.

"My name's Kymopoleia. Just call me Kym."

"I'm Eros."

"I'm Phobos."

"I'm Deimos."

"My name is Harmonia."

"Call me Pothos."

"Anteros." Perseus smiled widely and waved to him too.

"I'm Himeros."

"What's up, I'm Hermaphroditus."

"Priapus."

"I'm Peitho."

"Tyche."

"Eunomia."

"Aeneas."

"I'm Aglaea of the Charites."

"I'm Euphrosyne of the Charites."

"I'm Thalia of the Charites."

They all smiled at Perseus, except for Triton.

"It's nice to meet all of you. I'm Perseus Anteros Rhodos Jackson. You can call me Percy if you want. No one ever does when I tell them to, though."

They all ate their food and talked.

-12 years old-

"Young prince. It is time to wake up. The king wishes to see you."

Percy groaned as he woke up. He didn't want to be awake right now.

"Ok, thank you Nylla. I'll be out in a minute!" He called as he sat up.

He got up and went to the bathroom. When he exited, there was an outfit sitting on his bed. It wasn't like the outfits he usually got. Instead of the chiton and himation, there was a pair of jeans and a plain black shirt. There was also a dark blue hoodie and Nikes.

He quickly changed into the outfit and made his way the throne room.

When he got there, he knocked on the doors.

Instead of answering, like a normal person (he technically wasn't a person, but Percy didn't think that was relevant) the doors just slammed open to reveal his father on his throne in front of a bunch of lords.

"Perseus. Come here, my son."

"Yes father."

Percy walked through the large hall and stood next to his father.

Poseidon waved the court away. He waited until everyone was gone to talk to Percy.

"My son." He said.

"Yes dad? What is it you wanted to talk about?"

"You must prepare. It is time for you to go to camp. You leave in an hour." He said, his face not giving away his emotions.

Percy looked down. "Yes dad, I understand. I will get Nylla to pack my bags."

"Speaking of Nylla, she will be coming with you."

Percy nodded and left. He ran to his big brother's room and pounded on the door.

"Percy? What's wrong?" Triton asked worriedly as he opened the door.

Percy jumped to hug his brother and cry into his arms.

"Percy? Is everything alright?"

Percy shook his head. "No! I'm leaving today! Dad said I'm leaving in an hour!" He cried.

Triton wrapped his arms tightly aro und his baby brother.

"It's going to be ok Perseus. I'll have Rhodos visit you if you want."

Percy nodded his head and wiped his eyes. He stopped hugging Triton.

"I have to go get ready. There is no way I'm leaving any jewelry behind."

Triton laughed and watched as Percy walked towards his room.

Percy fidgeted nervously as he was transported to land. He hasn't been on land since he left Ithaca. He still spoke broken English and didn't understand most things. He only left the water to visit his mother in her kingdom.

He tapped his pen on his hand when he appeared in the streets of Manhattan.

"I apologize Percy, but I cannot take you any closer to camp without the gods being alerted." Poseidon told him.

"Where are we?" Percy asked.

"We're in the upper east side of Manhattan. I deeply apologize, but this is where your mortal mother lives." He answered as he pointed to the apartment in front of them.

Percy was silent for a few minutes. "Which apartment?"

"What?" Poseidon was shocked. Percy swore that he never wanted to talk to his mother again. He remembered that Percy never swore it on the Styx, but still.

"I want to see my little siblings. They should be ten by now. I haven't seen them since I met you."

Poseidon pursed his lips. "Apartment 304. 4th floor."

Percy nodded and gestured for Nylla and Nella to follow him. Percy only had five bags with him, so he carried one while his nereids carried two each.

Poseidon watched as Percy walked into the building before leaving.

Percy stood in front of apartment 304 for what seemed like hours before finally knocking.

"Coming!" He heard a familiar voice yell.

His breath hitched when he heard his mother's voice. He didn't realize how much he missed her.

The door opened. Sally's eyes widened.

"Περσέας;" She asked in a quiet voice.

"Salacia." He replied. He didn't even bother speaking to her in their native tongue.

"Wha- what are you doing here?" She asked, her tears forming.

"I want to see my little siblings."

She stuttered before allowing him and his nereids inside.

"Πηνελόπη! Ωρίων! Έλα εδώ!" She yelled out.

Percy watched as two kids walked into the room. They looked sad.

"Αδελφός; Αδελφή;"

Their heads shot up as he was talking.

"Αδελφός!" They ran up to him and gave him a hug.

"Good to see you." He said as he hugged them back.

"Where have you been?! Momma said you ran away!" Penelope exclaimed.

Percy's eyes widened as his head shot up. Sally looked guilty.

"What!? Όχι, η μητέρα με άφησε πίσω στην παραλία στην Ιθάκη!"

The twin's heads snapped towards Sally.

"Momma? Is this true?" Orion asked.

Sally nodded hesitantly.

Orion and Penelope yelled at their mother. She burst out in tears.

"I'm so sorry! I was just so angry! When Nicodemus found out that you weren't his, he left me alone!" She cried.

Percy looked down at her and said in a cold voice "I do not forgive." And he left after giving his siblings a hug.

He stepped up to the tree next to the camp border.

He turned and looked at the tree. "You will be saved cousin, I swear it on the river Styx."

Thunder boomed across the valley. Percy took one last look at the tree and stepped inside the border.
