(Takes place shortly after the ending of Smurfy Tales Chapter 6)
Currently, it was night now. Roughly five days since his friends and himself returned from their journey into the Forbidden Forest to find and warn the Smurfs on the other side of the Wall. Since they had met natural-born Smurf Girls. Since their village had expanded in population size.
Currently, at this moment, he was walking with Blossom back to their houses. Blossom had woken him up, asking him to help her find Hefty’s house to apologise for what she said. And when Hefty wasn’t there, to Smurfette’s house.
At this moment, his female companion was talking about something, but he couldn’t quite hear it.
Probably due to the fact that he was still trying to process what she said in regard to him.
“Uh, t-thank you,” Smurfette said, blushing from Blossom’s compliment about how pretty she was. Brainy was about to chuckle at her bashfulness when Smurfette spoke again, now with a smirk on her face, “Hey, Blossom, what’s your opinion on Brainy?”
He had only a moment to process this before Blossom spoke, “Very cute?”
What? He had been called many things by both himself and others. A genius. A know-it-all. The Smurf with the plan. Four Eyes.
Never had he been called cute since he was but a little Smurfling. Or anything close to that. He blushed, his cheeks becoming darker than usual.
It got worse when Blossom rushed over to him, getting really close to him, placing her hands on his cheeks and nuzzling him, “I mean, look at him! He’s so adorable!”
Brainy was still blushing as of this moment. He was still trying to figure out what she meant by that.
Did she…did she actually find him cute? Or did she mean it as a joke?
No, no, in the time he had known Blossom, she had proven herself to be one of the kindest Smurfs he ever had the pleasure of meeting. There was no way she would do that to him.
“Hey, Brainy?” His train of thought was derailed by Blossom’s voice and he nearly jumped back with how close she was to him, “What are you thinking about?”
“N-Nothing?” Brainy shrugged.
“Hmm…” Blossom stuck her tongue out as she tried to figure out what was going on. Then her eyes widened, “You’re thinking about what I said, right?”
“…” Brainy blinked as an answer before clearing his throat and speaking, “Y-Yes? I mean, I’m just wondering if you meant it—.”
“Of course I meant it,” Blossom gave a warm smile that melted her heart, “And if words are not enough…here’s some more proof.”
And then she leaned in to kiss him on the nose, causing his heart to skip a beat. After a few moments, she leaned back with a warm smile and a shrug before skipping away, singing her favourite song under her breath.
Brainy was left there, still as a statue. He could only move his hand to feel the spot where Blossom had kissed him…
