Chapter Text

 The only sound that could be heard was the squeaking of shoes on the gym floor as the Seirin basketball team was in the middle of after-school practice. Riko Aida, the coach for the boys' basketball team, was watching them off to the side of the court when she heard someone yell out, "Kagami, pass the ball! Hyūuga's open!" She sighs as she watches Kagami, who grinds his teeth as Kiyoshi Tippei, the center of the basketball team, has just stopped him from shooting the ball into the hoop. "Kagami! Why didn't you pass the ball to Hyuuga? He was open." Izuki Shun said the point guard asked as a non-starter on the other team made a basket, earning points for their team. Kagami grunted and said, "I thought I had the shot." Izuki and the other second years sigh, and Kuroko Tetsuya looks at Kagami with a blank look as he jabs him in the side hard. "Ow! What the hell, Kuroko, that hurts!?" Kagami yells as he holds his side and glares at Tetsuya, who looks back at him with a slight frown and says, "Kagami-kun. you should have passed the ball to Hyugga-senpai, who had the better chance of scoring than trying to get past Kiyoshi-senpai."

 Kagami just grunts and glares at him as he says, "I didn't see him and thought I could get past senpai to make the shot myself." Hyuuga clicks his tongue as a tick mark appears on his head and says to Kagami, " At least one of our first years knows how to listen and respect their senpais. Unlike you, Bakagami." Kagami rolls his eyes as he turns to walk off the court, and Izuki and Kiyoshi have to hold Hyuuga back from going after Kagami. Kuroko watches Kagami walk away with a frown and goes to say something when he feels a hand on his shoulder and looks to see Kiyoshi standing behind him, shaking his head slightly before looking over to where their coach is standing, watching them with a frown. She glances at Kagami with a frown and a slight glare as he walks over to the bench and picks up a towel, and starts wiping his face free from sweat before sighing, saying, "Okay, boys, I think we're done for the day. Good job." She looks at Kagami again, but this time she has a menacing look on her face as she speaks again in a tone that makes them all shiver slightly "Kagami-kun, I do hope that you're in good condition tomorrow because you're training menu is now double for your disrespect towards your senpais today."

 Kagami gulps slightly as he looks at her with wide eyes filled with fear and nods quickly as the door to the gym is opened and they all hear "Kurokocchi!!" Seirin turns their heads towards the door and sees Kise Ryouta, a member of the Generation of Miracles and Kaijo's basketball team, smiling widely as he runs towards Tetsuya and clings onto him. They all stare as Tetsuya sighs slightly, that sounds a bit fond as he says, "Hello Kise-kun. What are you doing here at Seirin?" Tetsuya looks at Ryouta and notices the excitement in his eyes and thinks to himself a bit wearily, 'He's excited about something, I'm just not exactly sure if that's a good thing or not.'  But just as Ryouta opens his mouth to answer, a voice calls out, "Oi Kise! I told you not to run off without the rest of us!" Kise and Seirin turn to the doors again and see the rest of the Kaijou high basketball team standing there and realized that the one to call out was the captain of the team, Kasamatsu Yukio.  Kise looks a bit sheepishly at him and rubs the back of his head and says, "Haha...Ah, sorry, Kasamatsu-senpai. I just got excited when I saw Kurokocchi's school."  Kasamatsu sighs and looks at Hyuuga and Riko and nods to them in greeting before saying, "Sorry about the intrusion. But as you can see, he seems to forget his manners when it comes to Kuroko. I apologize if he interrupted your practice."

Riko shakes her head slightly and says, "It's fine, we're just finishing anyway." Hyuuga nods his head and goes to say something when Kagami rudely says, "Oi! Why are you still holding onto Kuroko!?" to Kise.  Everyone turns their heads and sees that indeed Kise is still hugging Kuroko and raises their eyebrows at them.  Tetsuya sighs quietly and glances at Kise out of the corner of his eye before saying, "Kise-kun, please let go of me now."  Ryouta pouts and lets him go, but not before sending a heated glare towards Kagami, who returns the glare with just as much heat if not more heated than normal which earns him a raised eyebrow not only from Kise but also from Kuroko, Kiyoshi, and Izuki who notices the exchange between the two aces of the teams. 'Tsk Kagamicchi just had to ruin my cuddle time with Kurokocchi, didn't he?  Although... Kise glances at Kuroko slightly and notices that he looks slightly disappointed himself that Ryouta had let go of him 'I wonder why Kurokocchi let me hug him for as long as I did and not jab me in the side to let go of him like he normally does when I cling to him for too long.'  Yes, Kise knows that he will cling onto Kuroko for a long time if the pale bluenett will let him, he can't help it! He misses being able to see and hang out with Kuroko every day since they graduated from middle school. 

"Kise-kun, can you please answer my question?" Tetsuya asked as he looked at Ryouta with a slightly confused look and raised eyebrow as to why Kaijou is in Seirin's gym and why his question hasn't been answered yet.  Kise looks at Kuroko with a startled look and smiles a bit sheepishly before replying, "Ah...sorry Kurokocchi. We had just finished practice and were on our way to Maji's, passing by Seirin. So, I wanted to stop by and see if you wanted to join us." He waves a hand towards the rest of Kaijou, who had by now stepped into the gym instead of hanging out in the doorway.  Kuroko looks at Kise and sighs before nodding and smiling slightly when he hears Kise yell out happily that 'Kurokocchi agreed to go out with them!' before looking towards his coach and captain in slight questioning them if it was okay for him to go with them. Riko sighs as she nods and says to him, "Go and have fun, Kuroko-kun."  Kise then lunges to hug Kuroko again, and Tetsuya just sighs, letting it happen when they hear a scoff from behind them and both look to see Kagami looking at them with a scowl and glaring at Kise.

"Is there a problem, Kagami-kun?" Tetsuya asks as he looks at him with a frown, and Kagami looks at him with a slightly softened look, which Kise notices and narrows his eyes at him as Kagami says, "No, there's no problem, Kuroko."   Kuroko looks at him with a blank expression, but his eyes are looking at him with suspicion, nodding slightly before looking back at Kise, who was still holding onto him but looking at Kagami with narrow eyes and a slight frown on his face. Kuroko looks at Kise with a slight frown and starts to open his mouth to question Kise when he hears him say, "We should probably go Kurokocchi before it gets any later than it is."  Kise lets go of Kuroko so that he can go grab the things that he needs to leave but keeps his eyes on Kagami with a narrowed look.

Tetsuya sighs to himself and nods before walking over to the bench and grabbing his backpack. He looks at Riko and says, "I'll see you tomorrow, Coach. Everyone." Riko just nods her head as the rest of the Seirin boys head to the locker room to change and get ready to head home themselves.  Kuroko and Kise walk over to the rest of the Kaijou players, who were standing by the door waiting for them to leave.  As they walk out the gym door, Kuroko doesn't notice the angry, slight, possessive look that is shot at him by Kagami, who watches him away without a backward glance at him. 'Tsk that damn Kise coming and stealing my idea and time of being able to hang out with Kuroko.'  Kagami thinks as he scowls at the door one last time before walking towards the locker room himself to change and head home. 

Although what Kagami doesn't know is that two other people in the gym had noticed the look that he gave Kuroko as he was leaving, they weren't sure what to make of it yet but as Kiyoshi and Izuki looked at each other they both nodded and came to the silent agreement to watch Kagami closely and not interfere yet.  They both knew that Kagami had feelings for Kuroko that went beyond their friendship.   However, they weren't sure about whether Kuroko returned those same feelings for Kagami, though Kiyoshi had a slight feeling that Kuroko didn't have the same feelings for Kagami.

'I have a feeling that I'm going to have to talk with Kagami soon.'  Kiyoshi thinks to himself as he walks into the locker room with Izuki and watches as Kagami slams his locker door closed and storms out of the locker room.   "What's with him today anyways?" Hyuuga asked as he closed his locker and looked towards Kiyoshi.  Kiyoshi shrugs slightly. "Who knows with Kagami?" He said as he gathered his things from his locker and left the locker room and gym with Hyuuga and Izuki walking beside him.  As they walk off school grounds and head to their homes, Kiyoshi notices Kagami slightly ahead of them and narrows his eyes as he watches him stand in a walkway looking off in the direction that he normally takes to go to Maji's with Kuroko before walking in the direction of his apartment. 'Going to have to talk to Kagami soon, definitely.'  Kiyoshi thinks again to himself.

Tetsuya, however, was unaware of what was going on at Seirin after having left with Kise and the rest of Kaijou, and had arrived at Maji's was slightly amused, not to mention surprised by the way that they were acting around him, even though he was on a different team than them. Kasamatsu, who was standing beside him in the restaurant as they were waiting in line to order, glanced at him before saying, " Normally, they act more mature in front of other people, but after the intense practice we had today, it seems like they decide to act like they regressed in age more so than normal it seems." He grimaces slightly as he shoots a look over at the table where the rest of their group was when as it seemed like Kise had gotten into a loud argument with another player of the team, if Tetsuya remembered correctly, his name was Hayakawa.  

Kuroko smiles slightly as they get to the front counter and order their food, and says, "I'm used to this kind of gathering, Kasamatsu-san."  They walk over to the table with their food, and Kuroko notices how Kise seems to be the first to notice them coming and sees how his eyes first flicker to Kasamatsu and then away to him quickly. Tetsuya raises an eyebrow slightly before glancing at the alpha walking beside him and notices the slight smirk on his lips as he looks at Kise as they walk towards the table.  Kise blinks at Kuroko's tray as Tetsuya sits down across from him, surprised to see that he had gotten a burger and fries instead of just his vanilla milkshake that he normally only gets when he goes to Maji's.  Kasamatsu sits down next to Kuroko, which earns him a quick glance from Kise before returning to Kuroko.

"Ne, Kurokocchi, are you feeling ok?" Ryouta asked him as he looks at Tetsuya with a confused, shocked look on his face as Kuroko looks back at him with a mostly blank look, though there is a bit of amusement in his eyes as he says, "I am feeling fine, Kise-kun. Why do you ask?"  

"It's just that you don't normally get anything else besides your vanilla milkshake. Unless Akashicchi or Aominecchi makes you get at least a burger to eat when we come here, when we went to Tenkio."  Kise says as he looks at Kuroko with a curious look before grimacing and looking towards Kasamatsu, who was glaring at him. "Why did you kick me, Kasamatsu-senpai!?"  Kasamatsu replies by saying, "Kise! It's rude to comment on someone else's eating habits." Kise flushes slightly and opens his mouth to argue with Kasamatsu when they both look at Kuroko, when he lets out a small chuckle. "K...Kurokocchi?" Kise says confused about why he's laughing, and Kuroko gives him a small smile before glancing at Kasamatsu out of the corner of his eye. 

"Kise-kun isn't being rude, Kasamatsu-san. He's correct in what he said. I normally don't eat very much and just get a vanilla milkshake. So please don't be too hard on him." Tetsuya said as Kasamatsu nods slightly before narrowing his eyes at Kise, who looks at him with a smug look before looking away when Kuroko continues by saying, "As to answer your question Kise-kun Seirin also had a tough practice so I had to use more energy than I normally would in during in practice."   Kise nods his head with a slight frown, looking at Kuroko, who looks back at him with a slight challenging look on his face that makes him sigh slightly before shaking his head with an amused smile.  Kasamatsu raises an eyebrow at the exchange between them before looking at Moriyama, who was sitting by Kise and across from him, before rolling his eyes slightly at the two Generation of Miracle members sitting with them. 

"So, are you guys feeling ready for Inter-high that's coming up in a week, Kurokocchi?" Kise asks as Kuroko takes a sip of his milkshake and looks at him with amusement and a bit of fondness as he hears Kasamatsu groan before growling lowly at Kise-kun as Kise whines and pouts at Kasamatsu and Moriyama as he was kicked under the table again, and the back of his head was slapped at the same time.  "Ow! Why I wasn't asking it to be rude or anything!? I'm seriously curious!"  Kise whines at them with a pout as Kasamatsu says, " You still don't ask like that bluntly!"  Kise blushes slightly when he realizes that Kasamatsu was right and turns his head to look at Kuroko with an apologetic look as he says, " Kasamatsu-senpai's right, I shouldn't have said it like that. I'm sorry for that, Kurokocchi."

'He's matured a bit.'  Kuroko thinks fondly to himself as he looks at Kise and sighs before saying, "You're forgiven, Kise-kun. Though, please be more careful with how you word your question next time."  Kise nods his head as Kuroko then says, "But yes, I think we're as ready as we can be for the Inter-high competition coming up soon." Kuroko then looks out the window and notices how late it has gotten and says, "We should all probably head home now, seeing how late it is." 

Kasamatsu also looks outside and then pulls out his phone to look at the time before agreeing with Tetsuya. "He's right, it's time for all of us to head home. We do have school tomorrow, not to mention practice."  Everyone nods as they stand up and take care of their trash before walking out of the restaurant. They all go in their separate directions to go home, but not before Kise hugs Kuroko tightly and lets go quickly, waving bye to him and the Kaijou basketball, yelling that he'll see them tomorrow. 

Kuroko watches him go with a blank look and smiles slightly as he turns to Kasamatsu, who sighs loudly as he also watches Kise disappear out of sight with a slight fond smile on his lips. Kuroko bows slightly to him, and Karamatsu waves him off as they also head home in different directions.   Kuroko enjoys the slight breeze that's blowing as he walks home that evening. He had just reached his home and walked inside when he's phone dinged once letting him know that he had a text message.

He pulls his phone out of his pocket as he closes the front door and takes his shoes off, leaving them by the front door. He touches his messaging open on his phone screen as he walks up the stairs towards his room and sees that the message is from Kise-kun.  He walks into his room, sets his backpack on the floor by his desk, and sits on his bed and read the message that Kise had sent him.

Kisu-kun;  Kurokocchi! I'm so happy that we got to hang out today, even if the rest of my team was with us! I hope you had fun too! Maybe next time it can just be the two of us like the old days.  Well, goodnight, Kurokocchi. Hopefully see you soon, if not, then see you at Inter-high!

Tetsuya smiles as he reads the message and chuckles slightly to himself as he sees that Kise didn't message him privately but in the group chat that was for all of the Generation of Miracle members. 'Kise-kun must not have noticed that he clicked on the group chat instead of just my name before sending that message.'   He thinks to himself before smirking slightly as he sees that the others have seen the message and types his reply.

Kuroko: I'm happy too Kise-kun. I had fun today hanging out with you and Kaijou-minaa-san.  I wouldn't mind hanging out with you again sometime soon. I hope to see you soon, also, if not, then at Inter-high. Goodnight Kise-kun.

 Tetsuya's smirk widens slightly as he watches the green tick marks appear under his message to show that his message has been read by almost everyone in the group, and mutes it before closing the messaging open and locking his phone.  'Poor Kise-kun has no idea of how the others are going to react to those messages.'  He thinks as he pushes himself off his bed and ignores his phone buzzing in his hand as he walks into the bathroom connected to his room to change and get ready for bed for the night. 

He walks out of the bathroom after having changed into his pajamas and brushed his teeth, plugs his phone into the charger by his bedside, and lays his phone on his bedside table before lying in bed.   He falls asleep to his phone still buzzing and thinks to himself, 'I deal with the messages tomorrow.'   

Chapter Text

Tetsuya wakes up the next morning to his alarm ringing. He yawns as he sits up in bed and picks up his phone from the bedside table, turning his alarm off.  He throws his cover off and gets out of bed, heading to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for school.  As he walks into the bathroom and sets his phone down on the counter, he notices the notifications on it from the group chat last night and gives a small smile as he strips and steps into the shower after making sure that the water is the right temperature.  'I think I might have spent too much time with Akashi-kun. It seems like I'm picking up on some of his sadistic antics.' He thinks to himself as he finishes showering and turns the water off, steps out of the shower, and dries off. 

He gets dressed in his school uniform, brushes his teeth, and hair.  He walks out of the bathroom and walks over to his desk and picks up his backup, and walks out of his room and downstairs to the kitchen to make himself some breakfast before school.   The house is silent as he walks into the kitchen, which he is used to, as his parents have to go out of the country for work most of the time. He thinks they are in America this time, and his grandmother is on vacation with her friends somewhere; he forgot where she was going. He's fine with being left on his own as his parents make sure to call him at least two to possibly three times a week to check on him, along with sending him enough money to take care of his needs at least once a week, a month, while they are gone.  He decides to just have some cereal this morning as he doesn't feel like actually cooking this morning and opens the kitchen cabinet and takes out a box of cereal and a bowl from above the sink, he sets the cereal and blow down on the table and walks over to the refrigerator and opens it taking out the milk, closing the door to the refrigerator he walks back of the table and sits down pouring the cereal and milk into the bowl and starts eating.

He picks up his phone and opens the group chat to see what had gone on in it after he muted it last night, and chuckles slightly to himself as he reads the messages that appeared when he left the group chat last night.

Akashi-kun: It seems like I'm going to have to talk to your captain about doubling your training, Ryouta.

Midorima-kun: Oha Asa predicts that it's going to be a bad day for Geminis, watch your back, Kise.

Murasakibara-kun: Kise-chin, I'm going to crush you.

Aomine-kun: What the hell?! Kise go die!

Kise-kun: Ahh! I didn't mean to send that in this chat! I meant to send it to him privately! Sorry Kurokocchi!  Akashicchi, please don't! I don't want to die!

Akashi-kun: You should have thought about that when you met with Tetsuya without notifying me first, Ryouta.

Kise-kun: Akashicchi I'm sorry! Forgive me! 

Akashi-kun: Hmm, no.

Tetsuya laughs to himself as he takes a bite of cereal and notices that Kise had left a heart next to his comment from last night, and shakes his head slightly as he finishes eating and puts his bowl in the sink, washes it, and leaves it on the dish rack to dry. He puts the milk away and picks up his backup from the floor near the kitchen table, walking out of the kitchen to the front door and puts his shoes on when he notices that Akashi had separately messaged him and opens it as he walks out the door, locking it behind him as he walks down the road towards school.

Sei-kun: Tetsu, let's meet up after your basketball practice at Maji's today.

Me: Ok, Sei. See you then. Tell Kasamatsu-san not to be too hard on Kise-kun today.

Sei-kun: So, you did spend time with them yesterday.

Tetsuya sighs, knowing that the message was more a statement than a question when it came from Akashi Seijuro. As he was typing his reply, he didn't notice someone was in front of him and bumped into their back. "Ah, sorry...." He starts saying, but he's cut off when the other person turns around and speaks "Tetsu..." Kuroko looks at the person with wide eyes, slightly startled, as he realizes the person in front of him is Aomine Daiki, a member of the Generation of Miracles and his first light.  "A-Aomine-kun?" Kuroko was looking at him, confused as to why Aomine was in his neighborhood when he knew that they walked in different directions to go to school.

"You should watch where you're going, Tetsu," Aomine says as he smirks slightly, as Tetsuya blushes slightly before huffing a little and puts his phone in his pocket when it dings without looking at it. He figures it's Seijuro again and decides to check it when he gets to school before class starts. " Well, if Aomine-kun weren't standing still in the middle of the street, I wouldn't have bumped into him." Kuroko said back a bit sassy, which makes Daiki's smirk widen and chuckles to himself as he replies by saying, "And if you weren't busy looking down at your phone, you would have seen me standing here, Tetsu." Kuroko blushes again before looking away, slightly pouting as he knows that Aomine is right before glancing back at him and asks, "What are you even doing here, Aomine-kun? You go to Touou high in a different direction." 

"Touou has a half day today for some reason that I don't even remember. So, I don't have to be there until later." Aomine says as Tetsuya blinks slightly at him and nods before looking at him confused. "So why are you here? The Aomine-kun I know wouldn't normally be up before 12 if you didn't have a reason to be." He asked him a bit teasingly as Aomine sighed before saying, "I'll tell you as we walk since I know that you do have school and I know you don't want to be late." Kuroko pulls out his phone again and looks at the time before grimacing a bit and nodding.  "My mom also knew that if I didn't wake up on my own if I didn't have to, so she woke me up before leaving for work. In all honesty is better than damn Satsuki coming over and waking me up herself. So, I decided to go for a walk, not realizing that I ended up in your neighborhood before you bumped into me while you weren't paying attention to where you were going." Aomine says as they walk towards Seirin and glances at Kuroko from the corner of his eye. Kuroko nods, smiling slightly, as he remembers that Momio, besides him, was someone who had to wake Aomine up in time for school most of the time back in middle school.

"Hey Tetsu? Did you really spend the day with Kise and Kaijou yesterday?" Daiki asked with a frown as they almost reached the entrance to Seirin's gate, and Tetsuya sighed. He stopped walking and turned to look at Daiki. "Yes, Aomine-kun. I did because they stopped by, and Kise had invited me to join them. Besides, it was after both of our practices had ended for the day."  Tetsuya told him, looking at him with a slight frown himself as he then asked him, "Is that why you were in my neighborhood waiting to ask me that ask?" He sounded a little disappointed if that was the reason why Daiki happened to be in his neighborhood just to ask him that. Daiki looked at him with a raised eyebrow and noticed a flash of red from the corner of his eye near Seirin's gate, and turned his head slightly to see that Kagami was waiting at the gate and glaring at them, well, more specifically at him with a frown.

He smirked slightly before glancing at Tetsuya, who was looking at him still, but noticed that he was pouting slightly now as Daiki didn't answer his question. 'Cute.' He thinks to himself before he answers by saying, "I was hoping to run into you before you went to school because I wanted to see if you wanted to hang out after school today with me."  Tetsuya looks at him with slightly wide eyes and blinks before saying, "Well, I'm supposed to meet Akashi-kun after practice today at Maji's, but I'm sure he won't mind if Aomine-kun joins us today."   Aomine looks at him deadpan before sighing and slightly smiling as he says, " Sounds good, Tetsu. Just text me what time to be there, ok?"   Kuroko nods and blinks slightly as Daiki glances to the side towards Kagami, who is still waiting and watching them, but is now joined by two other people who are at the gate and smirks again before ruffling Tetsuya's hair lightly as he says, "Try not to run into anyone while looking at your phone, Tetsu." 

Tetsuya blushes slightly as he yells, "A-Aomine-kun!"  Aomine laughs as he continues to walk away, waving over his shoulder, and Tetsuya watches him go, shaking his head before turning around and walking to the gate where he sees Kagami, Hyuuga-senpai, and Kiyoshi-senpai standing there looking at him with different expressions on their faces. 'Well...this is going to be fun to explain.'  He thinks as he walks up to them and sees that Kagami is looking furious for some reason, while the other two just look curious, a little confused about who he was with this morning.  He sighs quietly as he watches Kagami open his mouth to say something probably insulting about Aomine-kun, but is elbowed in the stomach before he can by Hyuuga-senpai. 

Tetsuya blinks at them as Kagami coughs from the attack on his stomach, and Kiyoshi-senpai smiles slightly as he glances at Hyuuga before looking back at him with a gentle look on his face.  "Ne, Kuroko, who was that with you just now?" Kiyoshi asked as they walked through the gate together, and Tetsuya glanced at him as he answered, "Aomine-kun? He went to Teiko with me and Kise-kun. " Kiyoshi hummed thoughtfully as Hyuuga asked, " So he's also a member of the Generation of Miracles then?" Tetsuya nods as they walk into the school, saying, "Aomine-kun was the ace of the team, and if I'm mistaken, I heard that he's also the ace of Touou High." He then looks at Kagami before they go their separate ways, as both he and Kagami are first years, while Hyuuga and Kiyoshi are second years, so their classes are on different floors. "Also, Aomine-kun was my first light in basketball."

The bell then rings for the students to get to class before their late, and Hyuuga sighs as he says, "Well, as long as he's someone you know. We thought he was someone trying to bully you at first before seeing him ruffle your hair when he was leaving, so we were a bit worried."  Kuroko bows his head slightly, and Kiyoshi waves him off, saying, "Don't worry about it. We'll see you at practice, Kuroko, Kagami." They both nodded their heads as all four of them walked off towards their homerooms, and Kuroko glanced at Kagami as they walked side by side and sighed as he saw that Kagami still looked furious and thought to himself ' Hopefully he calms down before practice otherwise it's going to be a long and painfully training for everyone but especially for him.'  He then sighs as he watches Kagami storm into their homeroom and sets his bag down on his desk hard before sitting down and glaring at anyone who looks at him. 

"Well, better him than me, I guess.' He thinks as he walks in himself and sits down at his desk, waiting for their homeroom teacher to walk in and start the day, and hopes that practice won't end with too much of Kagami's blood being spilled by the coach or senpais.

Satsuki Momoi narrows her eyes slightly as Aomine is smirking a bit as he walks into the gym after school, and walks up to him, saying, "I'm surprised that you're here, Dai-chan."   Daiki glances at her and shrugs his shoulders slightly as he walks past her and picks up a stray basketball, bouncing it a few times on the gym floor before throwing it and watching it as it falls through the basketball hoop.  "Well, it's not like I have anything better to do until after practice." He said as Satsuki, along with the other members of the Touou basketball team, looked at him with startled expressions, for he didn't normally show up to practice unless he was forced to by Satsuki, and even she had issues getting him to attend practice. "Aomine, are you feeling alright?" Shoichi Imayoshi, the captain of the Touou basketball team, asked him with a raised eyebrow.  Aomine looks at him with a slightly annoyed expression, as he wants to get through practice as quickly as possible so that he can leave sooner. " I'm fine. Oi, Ryo, come practice with me." Daiki says as he looks at Ryo Sakurai, who looks at him startled and glances at Imayoshi before nodding and saying, "Ah..ok."  He heads over to him, and they start practicing as the others look on before going off to practice themselves. However, Momoi watches Daiki and Ryo practice with narrowed eyes. 'He's hiding or up to something.'  She sighs and startles slightly as her phone dings and pulls it out of her pocket, and looks at it with wide eyes.

Tetsuya sighs as he watches Kagami get hit over the head by Riko, as he once again didn't listen when he was told to pass the ball to one of the open players on the court.  He frowns as he looks at Kagami and can't help but think that he's acting weird lately. Well, weirder than normal when it comes to Kagami.  Tetsuya has noticed that Kagami has been acting like he's playing for himself again instead of playing for the team. 'If he continues to play like this, then there's no way he can beat them, especially him, or any of the others. Not to mention...'  Tetsuya's frown deepens as he notices how Kagami's scent gets bitter as he gets more frustrated as Riko scolds him. 'He's scent has been off lately also.'  Tetsuya thinks to himself as he glances at the other players and sees the other seconds looking at Kagami with frustrated looks also, as Kagami's actions and attitude have been getting on their nerves, not to mention pissing them off. 

"He needs to get it together." Tetsuya turns his head and looks over at Izuki when he hears him say that and sees the others nod in agreement. "Get back out there and play as you are part of the team, Kagami-kun, or so help me." Riko threatens him, and Kagami gulps slightly, though he still looks angry as he nods and walks back onto the court when the others are waiting for him. "Kagami-kun, you really should..." Tetsuya starts to say, but he's cut off when Kagami glares at him and his scents get angrier that he flinches back slightly as Kagami says, " I don't need or want to listen to your 'teamwork' lecture bullshit right now, Kuroko."  Hyūga glares at him as he says, "Oi, don't take your anger out on him just because you got in trouble with Riko. You're the one acting like you're a one-man team instead of playing like you're on a team." Kagami grinds his teeth and turns his head away, and Hyūga opens his mouth to yell at him when he feels a hand on his shoulder and turns his head to see Kiyoshi standing beside him. Kiyoshi shakes his head slightly as he looks at Kagami with a frown and says, " How about we take a short break for everyone to calm down. That's all right, right Riko?" 

Riko sighs as she nods and says, "Teppei's right. Take a fifteen-minute break, everyone."  They all break off into groups, or in the case of an angry Kagami, by themselves, for the break, as Tetsuya sighs as he watches Kagami go outside by himself from the bench that he was sitting on, drinking from his water bottle. "Ne Kuroko, let him be for now, ok?" He hears someone say and looks up to see Kiyoshi standing in front of him, looking at him with a gentle smile on his face. Tetsuya looks at him with a blank look, but has a frown on his face. "But is it really ok it leave him like this? The Interhigh  competition is right around the corner, senpai." He says as he looks at him and then at the gym door when he feels a hand on his head ruffling his hair gently. "I'm sure. I'll talk to him if I need to." Tetsuya looks at him and nods his head as he leans into the touch slightly, and Kiyoshi smiles as he removes his hand and walks away.

The fifteen-minute break was over, and everyone went back to practice, which didn't have any more issues as it seemed like everyone was able to play like a team, even Kagami. Everyone walked to the locker room when Riko let them go, and as Tetsuya finished grabbing his things and was walking out of the locker room and towards the gym door when he heard someone call his name. "Hey Kuroko, we're going to the store to get some ice cream, want to come with us?"  He looks over his shoulder to see some of the other first years on the team standing behind him and bows his head slightly as he says, "I'm sorry, but I already have plans today."  The first year who had spoken nods his head and says, "Oh, maybe some other time." Tetsuya nods his head and walks out of the door as Kagami walks out of the locker room and watches him leave with a frown.

'Really, this is where they wanted to go to after practice today of all days?' Daiki thinks as he follows the Touou team into Maji's, where the team decided to go to after practice. He sighs as he glares slightly at Satsuki, who smiles at him when he hears, "Aomine-kun?"  He curses in his head as he turns around and hears Satsuki yell "Testu-kun!" before glopping onto Tetsuya, who was standing behind him.  "Hello, Momoi-san. You're squeezing too tight, please let me go." Tetsuya says with a deadpan expression as he stares at Daiki, who sighs as Satsuki pulls away from Tetsuya as he says, "I didn't know that Momoi-san and your team were going to join us today, Aomine-kun."  

"They're not. For some reason, they decided to come here after practice to grab something to eat." Aomine tells him, glaring at Imayoshi, who smiles at him with a raised eyebrow before glancing at Tetsuya, and raises an eyebrow at him when Tetsuya looks at him with a blank expression on his face. "Aomine, you know him?"  Imayoshi asked as he looked at Tetsuya and saw that his wearing a basketball outfit. "We went to middle school together." Aomine says as he looks at Tetsuya and says to him, "Oi Tetsu. Why are you still wearing your basketball outfit?" 

Tetsuya looks down at himself and looks back at Daiki and says, "I was in a hurry to get here and must have forgotten to change." Daiki looks at him before sighing and shaking his head. "Why were you in a hurry, Tetsu-kun?" Satsuki asks, and Tetsuya glances at her as he says, "I'm supposed to meet Akashi-kun and Aomine-kun here today." Satsuki turns her head sharply to Daiki, who gulps slightly as she says, "Oh. Why were you also meeting Aomine-kun here today?" Daiki feels a sweet drop appear as Satsuki is staring at him with narrow eyes and a dark aura around her. Tetsuya looks at her before glancing at Daiki, who's looking at him with wide eyes, pleading to save him, but Tetsuya was in a mischievous mood suddenly and smirks slightly as he says, "Oh, he didn't tell you. I ran into him on my way to school this morning, and he asked if we could hang out today. I told him that I was meeting Akashi-kun today. He offered to join us."

'You little shit.' Is Daiki's first thought as he starts at Tetsuya with wide eyes, as Tetsuya stares back at him with a blank look, but he can see the mischievous glint in his eyes along with the small smirk on his lips.  Imayoshi is amused as he watches the interaction between them and says, "Oh. Is that why you were late to school today, Aomine?"  Daiki shoots him a glare, but all he gets back is a wide smile as Tetsuya says, "I thought you said that you had half a day today, Aomine-kun?"  Daiki's second thought was 'Imayoshi, you bastard.' "We did have half a day, Tetsu!" Tetsuya narrows his eyes at him, and Daiki sweats some more as he looks at Satsuki, who is now staring at him, amused, before sighing and saying, "Dai-chan is telling you the truth, Tetsu-kun. We did have half a day today." 

Tetsuya looks at both of them before nodding and says, "Alright then." Daiki blows out a relieved sigh before glaring at Imayoshi, who lets out a chuckle before walking off to join the rest of the team, who had walked off to get a booth for themselves.  "Oh Akashi-kun." Tetsuya says as he sees the red head sitting at a booth by the window.  Tetsuya starts to walk over to him and looks back to see that Aomine isn't following him and frowns slightly at him. "Aomine-kun?" He says quietly, Daiki looks at him before looking at Akashi, and gulps slightly at the smirk that was given to him. "Ah... I'll join you in a while, Tetsu, ok?" Daiki asked him, giving him a small smile, and Tetsuya nodded as he continued walking over to Akashi.

 Seijuro Akashi is trying hard not to laugh at the look on the face of Kuroko Tetsuya as he is currently pouting in the direction of the table that is holding the Touou team, where Aomine is sitting with them.  "Come now, Tetsuya, surely I'm not that bad of company." Tetsuya gives him a deadpan look as he looks at him and says slightly sarcastically, "Of course you're not Akashi-kun. It's just that Aomine-kun did say that he would join us, and he hasn't yet."  Seijuro hummed as he said, "Well, that just gives us some time to have a chat before he comes over." Tetsuya gives him a blank stare but raises his eyebrow slightly, telling him silently that he's intrigued. "What about Akashi-kun?" Tetsuya asked as he gave Akashi his attention, but not before giving a glance at Aomine's table again.  Seijuro chuckles slightly and says, "About the Interhigh competition and how well you think that your team is going to be in it."  

Tetsuya frowns slightly as he thinks about how Kagami has been playing and sighs as he says, "I think we'll be fine, Akashi-kun. We are coming along fine as a team." 

'That is if we can get Kagami-kun to get his head back on straight and work with us instead of working against us.'  Tetsuya thinks as he sighs to himself quietly before glancing at the table where Aomine is still sitting at and frowns slightly when he sees Momoi leaning against Aomine slightly before looking away quickly. "You know, Tetsuya, if you just tell him how you feel." Seijuro says as Tetsuya looks at him sharply as he says, "I don't know what you mean, Sei." Seijuro sighs as he says, "Tetsuya, I know you have a crush on him still."  Tetsuya can feel his cheeks get warm slightly as he says quickly, "N--no, I don't."  Seijuro raises an eyebrow at him, looking slightly amused as Tetsuya looks down at the table, sipping his milkshake as he tries not to glance at him or at the table where Aomine is, but Seijuro can see him flick his eyes over at the table a few times and watches him pout his lips around the straw in his milkshake.  

'Oh, little cousin, you can be so oblivious sometimes.' Seijuro thinks as he flicks his eyes towards Aomine, who turns his head to look at him and nods slightly as Aomine gets up and walks over to them and sits down beside Tetsuya, who startles slightly out of his thought and looks at Daiki with wide eyes before looking away again.  He doesn't see the two raised eyebrows or the amused looks directed at him as he tries not to blush as Aomine's arm brushes against him when he raises his arm and places it on the back of the booth. "So, what are you doing in Tokyo Akashi?"  Daiki asked bluntly, to which Akashi just raised an eyebrow before smirking slightly.

"I just wanted to see how Tetsuya was doing. I do hope that you are ready for the competition, Daiki."  Akashi says as Daiki scoffs slightly and says, "Of course I am. The only one that can beat me is me." Tetsuya frowns slightly at him as he says this and glances at him. 'So, he wasn't lost that mentality at all, huh?'  Tetsuya thinks as he goes to up his mouth to say something when Akashi cuts him off by saying, "Hmm. That might be true if, of course, you weren't going to be going up against me or..." He stops and glances at Tetsuya and smirks when he's met with a blank stare as he continues saying, "Or if a certain someone decides to get serious."  Daiki smirks as he glances at Tetsuya and purposefully shrugs his shoulder so that the arm on the back of the booth makes his hand brush against Tetsuya's shoulder slightly, which makes him blush slightly, as Daiki says, "That might be true, but that's only if his team can make him play seriously."  

Tetsuya shoots him a quick glare and says to him, " I can decide to play seriously by myself if I want to, Aomine-kun." Daiki gives him a smirk and another shrug as he then notices that his team is getting ready to leave and starts to stand up as he says, "Maybe or maybe not. We'll see at the competition, shouldn't we?" Tetsuya narrows his eyes as he says, "Be careful of what you wish for, Aomine-kun. We don't want a repeat of what happened back in middle school, do we?" 

Seijuro smirks as Daiki gets pale slightly and gulps as Tetsuya looks at him with narrow eyes, but Akashi can see the playful glint in Tetsuya's eyes as Momoi and Imayoshi walk up to them, more than likely to grab Aomine so that they can leave. "What happened back in middle school, Aomine?" Imayoshi asked, having heard as he and Momoi walk up to them, and Momoi covers her mouth as she giggles slightly. Tetsuya smirks slightly as Daiki gives him a pleading look to not say anything, but says, "Oh let's say that Aomine-kun here quickly..." He's cut off by a hand over his mouth and looks at Daiki with a glint in his eyes as Aomine says, "Nothing happened! Nothing at all! Tetsu!" He pulls his hand away when he feels a tongue lick his hand.

Daiki looks at Tetsuya with wide eyes as he wipes his hand off with some napkins from the table, and Tetsuya looks back at him with a playful glint in his eyes and a mischievous smirk on his lips.  'Little shit and a tease also.'  Daiki thinks as Tetsuya wraps his mouth around the straw of his milkshake and gives a suck that has his eyes darken a bit before looking away when he sees Akashi giving him a smirk. He sighs as he turns to leave before looking behind him and says, "See you at Interhigh. Tetsu. Akashi."  

....

Tetsuya and Seijuro watch as they leave Maji's, and Seijuro chuckles as Tetsuya looks at him with the playful glint still in his eyes, but the rest of his face is blank. "Well then. I should be getting back to Rakuzan." Seijuro says as Tetsuya nods and they both stand up and walk out of Maji's. "It was good to see you again, Tetsuya," Seijuro says as they walk to the car that's waiting to take him back to Kyoto. Tetsuya smiles slightly as he says, "You to Sei. Get back home safely, and I'll see you at the Interhigh school competition." 

"Why don't I give you a ride back home, Tetsuya? It's late, and I don't want you walking back home this late." Seijuro says as Tetsuya looks at him thoughtfully but shakes his head. "I'll be fine, Sei. I need the exercise anyway." Seijuro sighs but nods, "Alright, get home safe, Tetsu." He says as he gets in the car, and Tetsuya watches the car drive off before walking home and sighs to himself as he thinks about the Interhigh competition coming up and can only hope that Kagami well start working with as a team again and soon or otherwise they are going to lose before they even get to play against one of the other Generation of Miracles.  

Chapter Text

"So, how exactly did Kuroko even manage to get Coach to agree to a practice match with Kaijou so close to Interhigh anyhow?" Izuki asked as the Seiren basketball team waited for Kaijou to arrive at their school for a practice match.  Hyūga shrugs as he looks at Riko and Kuroko standing over by the bench, whispering so that no one can hear them, and narrows his eyes when he says, "Riko said something about that they had talked about trying something last night, and Kuroko offered up an idea, and Riko agreed to try it. All I was told this morning was that we have a surprise practice match against Kaijou today."  Kiyoshi hums lightly as he looks at Kuroko and is a little amused at what he and Riko have planned. As he says, "Well, whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be interesting."  

Hyūga glares at him slightly and opens his mouth to say something, but before he can, he hears Riko yell, "Oi! Bakagmi, don't go too hard before the match. You idiot!" He lets out an annoyed sigh as he turns and sees Kagami slam the ball through the hoop, landing on the court hard.  Kagami glances at her and tsks before saying, "Whatever." Kuroko sighs quietly to himself as he can see that the second years are getting more and more annoyed and frustrated with the way that Kagami is acting.  He can only hope that what he has planned will either knock some sense into Kagami or will slightly backfire on him. 'If this plan does backfire on me, then it's just on to the next one. I have a couple of plans in mind. I hope that they won't be too upset about being left out of the plan. But that's what the surprise factor is for, I suppose.'  Tetsuya thinks to himself with a slight smirk on his lips as he looks at three certain second years that he plans on using to make his plan hopefully work without their knowledge. 

The gym doors slammed open as a blonde blur rushed in and attached itself to Kuroko, making him sigh a bit fondly as he heard, "Kurokocchi, we're here!" Kise said as he hugged Kuroko tightly, as the rest of Kaijou walked in behind him, accustomed to Kise's behavior when it came to the Phantom Player of Seiren.  "Hello Kise-kun. Please let go now, you're hugging too tight." Tetsuya says as he glances at Kise out of the corner of his eye, and his lips twitch slightly as Kise pouts, letting go of him easily.  "Ne Kurokocchi, why are we having a practice match so close to the competition?"  Kise asked Tetsuya as he looked at him seriously.

Don't get Kise wrong or anything. He loves getting to spend time with Kuroko, even if it's just playing basketball. But he doesn't understand why Kuroko would ask him to get his captain and Coach to agree to a practice match, especially with a big competition like the Interhigh school happening soon.  Kise doesn't even know how Kuroko got his Coach and captain to agree to this.   'Although Kurokocchi always did have a way of getting his way back then, and it seems like it hasn't changed now.'  Kise thinks to himself, amused and slightly nervous, as he watches Kuroko's lips twitch into a small smirk as he says, "I just want to see something, and your team is the easiest one to try it on. No offence, of course, to you or your team, Kise-kun." Kise just raises an eyebrow and opens his mouth, but is cut off by someone from behind him saying, "If you're trying something new so close to Interhigh, then are you sure that you should be trying it out on us? I mean, if we see it now, then we can just stop it if we compete against each other later on?" Kasamatsu says as he walks up to them and stands beside Kise, looking at Kuroko.

Tetsuya just smiles as he says, "I never said that we would do the same thing should we go against you, Kasamatsu-san. Just that I wanted to see something, and that your team is the best and easiest team to get a hold of for this little experiment. Should we call it?" Kise's eyes widen as he hears the way that Tetsuya is talking to Kasamatsu and glances over at Kasamatsu to see him with his eyes narrowed as he looks at Kuroko.  Tetsuya continues to smile slightly as he looks at Kasamatsu, knowing that he's playing to Kasamatsu's competitive side by making to seem like he's looking down on Kaijou. "Heh. Then let's see what you got, Seiren." Kasamatsu says with a smirk of his own as Tetsuya's smile turns into a smirk as Kise looks at them with his mouth open as Kasamatsu walks back towards the bench that Kaijou is using for the match.

"Ah. I never stop getting amazed at how you always get things to go your way, Kurokocchi." Kise says, amused as he looks at Kuroko, who just raises an eyebrow at him, but his facial expression is back to his normal blank stare.  "You should go to your team now, Kise-kun. We'll be starting soon." Kuroko says as a reply, as Kise just nods and walks over to his team to talk about the gameplay before the game starts. "Ne Kuroko-kun, are you sure that we should be doing this? I mean, he does have a point." Riko says as she walks up to Kuroko, who turns to her and gives her a small, gentle smile. 

"It'll be fine, Riko-san." Kuroko starts with gentleness before continuing with "besides, like I told him, it's not like we'll be doing the same thing should we go against them anyway." Riko sighs as she nods and says, "Alright, Kuroko-kun, we'll do this your way for now." Kuroko lets out a small, mischievous smile that makes Riko widen her eyes, as she has never seen Kuroko look mischievous before. He says, "Don't worry, Riko-san, you won't regret it."

....

'Now then, which one should I test first?' Tetsuya thinks as he looks between Kiyoshi, Izuki, and Hyūga to play a part in his plan to make Kagami realize that he can't play and win alone like he thinks he can.  It's only the second half of the first quarter, and so far, they are keeping up with Kaijou, but that's only because neither side has pulled any type of special move yet.  Tetsuya lets his eyes go towards Kagami and Kise, who are standing off with each other, and frowns slightly as he sees that Kagami has the ball but won't pass it to Kiyoshi, who is open, but Kagami just ignores him and tries to get past Kise. However, both of them are surprised when the ball is knocked out of Kagami's hand and passed to Kiyoshi, who looks just as shocked but makes the shot at Kaijou's goal, making the score Kaijou 20 and Seiren 19. 

Kise and Kagami look at Tetsuya, who is standing behind them, as he was the one to knock the ball out of Kagami's hand to pass it to Kiyoshi. Kagami gets over his shock and glares at Kuroko, who just looks back at him with a blank expression and says, "Kuroko, you bastard! Why did you do that?!" Kuroko answers him by saying blandly, "Because Kagami-kun was holding on to the ball for too long. It was going to end up being Kaijou's ball either way." Kagami growls while Kise just stares at Kuroko with an unreadable expression on his face. 

The first quarter of the game ends with the score being Kaijou 24 and Seiren 22 as both teams make their way off the court and over to their team benches to take a break before the second quarter. "So far, we are doing a good job keeping up with them." Riko starts as she looks at the boys and glances at Kuroko with a slight frown as she wonders if their plan is ok to continue when Kuroko says, "It'll be fine, Riko-san. It's starting to come together." Riko, along with the rest of the team, looked at him with surprised expressions, and Hyūga asked him. "Uh... what exactly is coming along, Kuroko?"   Kuroko looks at him with a blank expression, but he has a glint in his eyes that they haven't seen him have before as he says, "It's a surprise, senpai."

....

"Oi Kise. Were you expecting Kuroko to do that?" Kasamatsu asked Kise, referring to Kuroko knocking the ball away from Kagami earlier, and Kise shook his head as he looked over at Seiren's bench, and his eyes narrowed as he looked at Kuroko. "No, I didn't. He's planning something." Kise said as he looked away from Kuroko and looked at Kasamatsu, who was standing in front of him as he was sitting on the bench. Kise is wary of what Kuroko is planning because sometimes Kuroko's ideas are dangerous and unpredictable. But whenever his strategies are put in play, they are put in a way to make it possible for them to win.  Kise smirks slightly as he looks over at Kuroko again and says, "We have to be careful of whatever it is that he comes up with." 

The reefer blows the whistle to let them know that the second quarter is about to start and Kise stands up from the bench to walk back onto the court walking beside Kasamatsu who glances at him when he says, "Kurokocchi's plans might seem unpredictable and not always relay on teamwork, but they always made sense when they'll put into actual play."  Kasamatsu raises an eyebrow at him, and Kise glances at him with a smirk as he responds with "You'll see as this game continues, senpai." 

Kise glances over at Kuroko as he walks back onto the court with Seiren and smirks slightly as he thinks to himself, 'Alright, Kurokocchi, let's see what you have planned for this game, should we?'

....

The first half of the second quarter of the game was when Tetsuya planned on putting his idea into play smirking slightly when he sees that Kagami is once again ignoring the open player this time it being Izuki-senpai when he's facing off against Kise again but this time he's going to play it a little different just to mess with not only Kagami but with the rest of Seiren and Kaijou also. Because, hey, he likes to mess with people sometimes, he blames it on being related to Akashi Seijuro.  He knows that Kise probably has an idea of what he's planning, but is not certain, which just makes his reaction more enjoyable for him, at least.  Yes, he knows that he's being sarcastic again he blames it on Akashi Seijuro.

He waits until Kise gets frustrated himself with Kagami and steals the ball from him running towards Seiren's basketball hoop to try to score when Kiyoshi gets in his way to block him just as Kise was getting ready to pass the ball to Moriyama Tetsuya appears in front of him making both Kise's and Moriyama's eyes widen as he catches the ball instead of passing it right away like he usually does when stealing the ball.  Tetsuya has a playful glint in his eyes as he glances at Kise, who is staring at him with a shocked look as he starts to dribble the ball and runs towards Kaijou's basketball hoop. 

Kasamatsu curses as he takes off after him and is surprised by how faster Kuroko seems to be than the last time they played each other.  Kasamatsu managed to get in front of him and is surprised when Kuroko looks at him with a smirk before trying to go past him on the right, only to go left when Kasamatsu goes to block him from going left. 'He faked...!' Kasamatsu thinks as he looks shocked as Tetsuya passes him, but when Kuroko gets blocked from going any farther by Kobori, he passes the ball behind him to Izuki instead of Kagami, who is coming up on his right side with Kise right on him. Izuki's eyes are wide as he catches the ball and makes the shot before Kasamatsu can block him, scoring for Seiren.

 'Just what are you up to, Kuroko?"  Izuki thinks as he looks at Kuroko with narrow eyes, as Kuroko glances at him before flicking his eyes towards Kiyoshi with a blank expression on his face, but Izuki can see the calculating glint in Kuroko's eyes as Kuroko looks between him and Kiyoshi again.  Izuki then glances over at Kagami, who's staring at Kuroko, looking pissed off because Kuroko didn't pass the ball to him, which Izuki has noticed, in this game at least, is that Kuroko hasn't passed the ball to Kagami much as he normally would when they're playing in a basketball game.  Izuki looks at Kise, who is standing near Kagami, looking at Kuroko with an unreadable expression on his face as he walks over to Kuroko and bends down slightly to say something to him quietly, and Kuroko answers just as quietly so that the rest of them can't hear what's being said between the two Generation of Miracle players.

The game ends with it being Seiren's win as the score is Seiren 100 and Kaijou 99. Seiren cheers as both teams walk off the court after the game.  "Good job, you guys!" Riko says as the boys drink from their water bottles and wipe the sweat from their faces. "Kurokocchi." They hear a voice sing-song as arms wrap around Kuroko from behind, and Tetsuya sighs quietly as he turns his head slightly to look at Kise, who's clinging onto him from behind. "Oi! Do you always have to hang on to him?" Kagami says, looking at them with a glare that makes Kise raise an eyebrow at him as Tetsuya just sighs when Ryouta smirks slightly, saying, "He doesn't mind, do you, Kurokocchi?" Ryouta narrows his eyes slightly at Kagami when he's scent turns sour and bitter when Kuroko doesn't answer, and lets Ryouta hang onto him with an exasperated expression on his face.

Kagami grinds his teeth and says, "That doesn't mean that you can always hang onto him like some damn parasite!" Tetsuya frowns slightly when he feels Kise flinch slightly against him and lets go of him, stepping away from him with his head down. "Kise-kun..." Tetsuya starts to say when Kise looks up at him with a smile on his lips, but Tetsuya can tell that's fake as Kise says in a fake cherry voice, "It's fine, Kurokocchi. I'll see you this weekend."  Tetsuya watches as he walks away and past his team out of the gym, ignoring the call of Kasamatsu and the rest of his teammates as they follow him out of the gym, but not without glaring at Kagami first.

Tetsuya turns around to frown at Kagami, who looks at him with a raised eyebrow, "Oh, come on, Kuroko. It's not like you weren't thinking...!" He's cut off by a jab in the stomach and kneels with his arms around his stomach as he looks up at Tetsuya with wide eyes when he sees Kuroko glaring at him hard and says, "That was too rude, Kagami.", in a cold voice that he and the rest of Seiren has heard use before now.  Tetsuya's omega lets them know that their angry that one of their packmates was hurt emotionally by letting his normal vanilla scent turn sour as he stares at Kagami before walking away from them and into the locker room.

He walks out of the locker room and ignores Kagami as he walks out the gym door, pulling out his phone, making a phone call as everyone watches him leave before turning to look at Kagami who looks annoyed and grunts as he grabs his things and leaves himself pissed off that he's the one that got hit but Kuroko's acting like Kagami's the one that did something wrong when he didn't he just said the truth because no one else would.

But what Kagami doesn't know is that Tetsuya doesn't take kindly to anyone upsetting one of his packmates, and not to mention that he is beyond tired of Kagami's attitude lately he can hope that Kiyoshi can get Kagami to realize that his attitude needs to stop because if not then he will do it himself and Kagami won't like the consequences of what will happen.

Chapter Text

Taking a short hiatus from this story to work on some other stories that I'm working on. Not to mention that I've sort of lost inspiration for this story, but I will come back to it when I can regain some inspiration.   I'm not abandoning this story, just want to get caught up on some other stories that I'm working on and maybe work on some other stories that I have in mind. Hoping to work on this story again in a week or two hopefully. Keep an eye out for the next chapter.
